  SpaceX crashed, Starship s at 9 and amazing.

  Amazing explosion when the rocket cratered on the landing

  pad. And it was a pretty like it was
• 0:49
  pretty precise for a landing, but only one of the engines
• 0:54
  fired up and they're supposed to have to, but only one of them
• 0:58
  worked. And Alana's actually said on

  Twitter, hey, we should probably light up three and then they
• 1:05
  only need to Land. So, whatever ones that actually
• 1:08
  work, maybe they'll all work then they'll use those to it'll
• 1:13
  shut off one and just go down to two.

  So, that's pretty cool, you know.

  But what is happening with SpaceX in some?

  Some drama. So we have some drama from the
• 1:25
  FAA. And let's take a look at that
• 1:29
  real quick. I want to show you guys this.

  The the latest stuff from SpaceX Is that the FAA will be
• 1:40
  reviewing us at 9. Okay?
• 1:42
  So this is from CNN business and the Federal Aviation
• 1:46
  Administration said it will oversee an investigation into a
• 1:48
  crash, landing of a SpaceX prototype rocket Tuesday.
• 1:51
  The announcement comes after the FAA for SpaceX to delay the
• 1:55
  launch, as it investigated, a previous explosion, that was sn8
• 1:59
  of a similar rocket prototype. So, here's what the important
• 2:04
  part. The FAA is top priority.
• 2:05
  She is regulating commercial space transport is ensuring that
• 2:09
  operations are safe, even if there's an anomaly.
• 2:12
  So what they're saying is, if SpaceX is rocket blows up, they
• 2:16
  want to make sure that people are safe around the launch site
• 2:19
  in the landing site. So this is very important for
• 2:23
  the FAA to do right now. Because commercial spaceflight
• 2:28
  is just starting, right? So we have people that are
• 2:32
  building gigantic rockets, that will be taking hundreds of
• 2:35
  people into space Justin, what a couple months by the end of this
• 2:40
  year SpaceX will be flying for regular people.

  Orbiting regular people in a crew dragon on top of a falcon
• 2:50
  9. So that's kind of the beginning
• 2:52
  of commercial space for space exploration.

  X. Now as far as like regular

  people go right not astronauts just you know, you and me we can

  buy a ticket. We can go to space, we can orbit

  the earth, a bunch of times. That's the beginning.

  Starship is the beginning of something huge Starship.

  It's like, when people started building planes to Ferry people
• 3:16
  from one side of the country, to the other side, the country, the
• 3:18
  FAA stepped in. And they said, let's see how we
• 3:21
  can do this safely. That's what they're doing here.

  And now the most dangerous part of getting from New York to Los
• 3:28
  Angeles, isn't the plane ride. It's actually getting to the
• 3:31
  plane like all the traffic getting there, all the people,
• 3:34
  all that stuff that's dangerous but in a plane it's pretty safe.

  There's not that many accidents on planes and that's because the

  FAA stepped in early and said okay here's some regulations got
• 3:44
  to make sure everybody's safe and that's what they're doing
• 3:47
  here. So they say the FAA will oversee
• 3:51
  the investigation of today's Landing mishap.

  everywhere, right? Stainless steel is very sharp

  when it's not properly built, right?

  So if it's, if the sharp piece of stainless steel, it can

  destroy lots of stuff, including people Clinic cars.

  Windows Etc. So they don't want any that

  stuff to happen. They want to have these

  regulations in place before it gets out of hand.

  And, you know, there's been talks about, you know, from

  people that say, you know, hey, the FAA stepping in to slow down

  Elon Musk and SpaceX. And that's just not true.

  That's not true, they're not there for any sort of evil

  purposes. The FAA is there for They're
• 7:22
  there to help people so they're not slowing anything down.

  Once these things are figured out the FAA and SpaceX can move

  forward with SM 1011 Etc and just keep moving forward safely.

  And there's the explosion. As you can see, it's huge.

  It's you just almost triple the size of the Starship.

  So yeah, it's like 16 stories tall somewhere around there and

  something like that. So the Starship 16 stories tall,

  the blast is three times that so, it's huge.

  It's huge. So, I want to make sure that

  Starship is all taken care of. Before, you know, they get to
• 8:08
  the next step and the next step is in SN 10 launch, right?

  wild Raptor engine, SN 50 has arrived at the pad.

  So we know, at least one engine is being delivered to SN 10.

  So that's great. That means that they're going to

  be start. It's like starting to mount

  engines on SM, 10 relatively. This is from today, I believe a

  couple hours ago and so now we know that there are engines
• 8:55
  coming for SM 10 which is great because it's already it's
• 8:58
  already been on the mount for a while before sn9 launched and
• 9:05

  right? And they're going to be mounting

  the engines underneath this. This so this, this thing's quite

  large and they'll have three Raptors in like Elon said, maybe

  all three of those Raptors will will work when they land this

  time. And here's a another thing, and

  I'm just going to like, touch on this real quick at.

  This has nothing to do with this list here.

  But remember sn5 everybody thought like, hey, man, maybe
• 9:43
  they got to make that into a moon lander mock-up.

  But That the case marry again comes through accrual, currently

  cutting around the upper portion of sn5.

  It appears sm5 will suffer the same fate as sn6.

  Rip sm5 and then you go down a little bit and there you go.

  SN 5 is being dismantled, so it's not going to be part of a
• 10:05
  moon lander mock-up or anything like that.

  They're going to just just scrap it.

  Use it again, you know, whatever they can use.

  Again, they will they will use again.

  So that's what SpaceX is doing with sn5 as well.

  So there's another thing and I'm going to kind of like step back

  a little bit to the sn9 investigation because the review

  from the FAA sn9 thing from Christian Davenport says some

  Congressional staffers were briefed yesterday.

  This is three hours ago on the SpaceX FAA launch, license
• 10:42
  violation, that's for sn8. We're told there was a
• 10:45
  miscommunication on modeling for how Are any shock wave would
• 10:49
  travel from a blast in the damage?
• 10:51
  It would cause in broken windows, Etc.
• 10:54
  In changing weather. So these are the these other
• 10:57
  things for the FAA to consider how dangerous is it, Etc.

  And this is sne stuff. Now, that's a 9 or SM 10 given
• 11:04
  the communication problem. The FAA investigated.

  Not only the sn8 hard Landing. But also did a comprehensive
• 11:10
  review of the company's safety culture.

  Operational decision making in process discipline.

  So all these things were incorporated into s and 9s
• 11:20
  launch. Yeah, this is this is important

  people. This is very important because
• 11:29
  the FAA they have to step in sometimes and they have to
• 11:31
  protect people and it's really good that Christian Davenport is
• 11:35
  wa p 0 Davenport on Twitter broke that and they have to make
• 11:43
  sure that the Starships aren't gonna hurt people, or her
• 11:47
  property. That's what the fááá is stepping

  in for. So now we have some starlink
• 11:51
  updates and there's I'm going to show you a bunch of tweets from

  SpaceX here just because they covered it the best because it's

  SpaceX. That's what they do, right?

  They had another successful Starship launch deployment

  Landing. Here's the launch on spacex's

  The lift off again, of starlink, and it's a pretty normal thing.

  Now, you know, we watch these liftoffs and it's totally cool.

  And then first stage, Landing, of course, we have a first

  stage, Landing little wobbly, but that's okay.

  It's pretty good. I wouldn't say it was bad, say

  it's pretty good. Look at that.

  Look at that beautiful Falcon 9 right on the pad.

  And then we have the deployment of these Sterling satellites.

  Perfect. 60 said lights deployed, beautifully above our
• 12:45
  mother earth now. Why?

  Why is this important? What's going on with?

  Starlink starlink recently. Was it 10,000 customers?

  Yeah, 10,000 customers. Starlink, they just announced

  that they had 10,000 customers and they're going to be moving
• 13:10
  forward with more people in the future and covering more land in
• 13:16
  the future and, like, households that are in the middle of
• 13:20
  nowhere. They need star.

  Like, and I've said this so many times on the show, my sister,

  she's five miles that way. That way, she can't get really
• 13:31
  high speed internet. She has a couple kids, you know,

  they live on the middle of nowhere.

  They need to do schoolwork. My sister needs to do work work.

  And like, how, what are they going to do?

  They can't. I mean, they have HughesNet or

  something like that and it's just a horrible, horrible

  service. So SpaceX has been updated or

  they've updated us that they've had 10,000 users now.

  This is from Engadget. Our Lawler says this public beta

  testing for SpaceX is said like, beamed internet service, kicked

  off late last year for people, in the US Canada UK, they seek

  star eligible eligibility as a telecommunications

  telecommunications carrier. Those two star starts at SpaceX

  Starling reports, over 10,000 people that are already using
• 14:25
  the service. That's a lot of people.

  People need this and being a telecommunications carrier,

  that's super important for SpaceX so they can move forward
• 14:36
  because when they take this money from starlink they can
• 14:41
  roll it over and build more Starships because these
• 14:44
  Starships will be launching starlink in the future.

  So set a 60 satellites will have a lot more than that going to
• 14:53
  orbit in the future. So here we go.

  This is another part of this, for the star like thing Star

  Lake is seeking designation, so it can access the millions of
• 15:02
  dollars has been granted from the rural digital opportunity
• 15:04
  fund to provide service across a number of states.

  So, they getting money from the government.

  They're getting money from taxpayers to set this up because

  this is a, this isn't just a service to, you know, people who
• 15:16
  want to play games, or browse Twitter, or watch this video.

  These are people that need it for their own benefit such as

  like I say before. School or work, you know, those
• 15:27
  kind of things better themselves and this is going to help
• 15:29
  everybody with access to, you know, information, like, Global
• 15:36
  access of information is going to be amazing, the letter also

  notes that SpaceX already has more than 1,000 satellites in
• 15:41
  orbit. That's insane. 10.

  More than 120 megabytes per second.

  MB, that's fast. It's like what?

  So yeah, there's there's the thing going on with starlink and

  SpaceX is going to be hopefully getting the grant money and

  using that money to build more star Like Satellites and also

  build Starships because once they get that, they can

  transport a lot of stuff in a short amount of time.

  So here we go. S N9, clean up.

  Okay, how long is it going to take?

  We're just going to briefly, go over this one, because it is

  probably not going to be that much.

  After sn9 cratered. We also how beautiful that was.

  How long is it going to take for SM 9 to get cleaned up and then

  moved out of the way because you only have one Landing Pad,

  right? So SN 10 can't land until I send

  9 is gone. So sn9 has to be cleaned up.

  The pad has to be probably reconfigured a little bit
• 16:46
  because there's probably a crater in it.

  We didn't think there was one for us at 8:00, then they moved
• 16:50
  all the stuff in. There was a giant crater there,

  they fix that up and they landed You know, they were ready to go
• 16:57
  in a couple days after they fixed it up, but it took them a
• 17:00
  couple couple weeks at least, two to three weeks to clean all
• 17:04
  that stuff out. But with the FAA involved,

  right? Maybe it's going to take a
• 17:09
  little bit longer. So I'm I'm guessing this is a
• 17:13
  guess. This isn't like 100% facts or
• 17:16
  anything like that. But with the FAA involved it's
• 17:18
  going to take a couple more weeks, I think.

  Unless they can do it really fast which is possible but
• 17:24
  they're gonna investigate the sn9 landing and maybe they might
• 17:27
  need to look at the wreckage you know, and go over all that
• 17:31
  stuff. So give it an extra week, maybe
• 17:34
  two for cleanup. So I'm guessing it about will
• 17:38
  get an SN 10 launch in about a month.
• 17:42
  So month from today, February 5th will probably either get it
• 17:46
  at the end of this month. The end of February, or the very
• 17:49
  beginning of March, Of 2021. So we're hoping we're hoping as
• 17:54
  fast as possible. We also want to be safe, you
• 17:57
  know? The FAA wants to make sure that
• 17:59
  the people around SpaceX launch facility in Boca Chica are all
• 18:03
  safe. So want to make sure that, you
• 18:06
  know, people are doing their thing and staying safe out there
• 18:10
  because we don't want any mishaps.

  Because if you have another mishap and if you have another
• 18:14
  mishap then you delay everything, very very far into
• 18:20
  the future and you don't Not that you want to take care of
• 18:22
  this stuff. Now, little stuff give it a week
• 18:25
  or two and then from there you move forward, you launch SM, 10
• 18:31
