- 0:59Speaker 4: We've got our friend and Sea Bass. Yeah, friendly, You've
- 1:01Speaker 4: got Sammy, Jeff g is here, Morgan, our associate producer,

- 1:16Speaker 4: a text over to two to nine eight seven. Today,
- 1:20Speaker 4: August twentieth is a World Mosquito Day. You would say, like, okay,
- 1:25Speaker 4: what purpose? And I don't know the answer to this.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I know that everything serves a purpose. Like what purpose
- 1:31Speaker 4: does the mosquito serve?
- 1:33Speaker 6: That's a great question, not like the b Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Like could we eliminate them and still be okay or
- 1:40Speaker 4: like something.
- 1:41Speaker 6: The only thing I could add to that is that
- 1:43Speaker 6: I know dragonflies eat mosquitos. So would the dragonfly die
- 1:47Speaker 6: if the mosquitos?
- 1:48Speaker 4: What else do we need the dragonfly? Like, okay, that's fine,
- 1:51Speaker 4: But do we need the dragonfly for visual if it's
- 1:53Speaker 4: just mosquitos, Like.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Maybe we can let that go too, if only, if
- 1:57Speaker 7: only call if the only purpose is to feed other things? Yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 7: and then then but there's big downsides like malaria. It
- 2:03Speaker 7: tells more more things than any animal.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Yeah, so like how we figured out how to get
- 2:07Speaker 4: you know, seeds out of water melons and stuff like that, right,
- 2:09Speaker 4: can we figure out can we figure out how to
- 2:11Speaker 4: engineer mosquitoes off the planet?
- 2:13Speaker 6: What do we need cockroaches for? What do we need
- 2:15Speaker 6: house flies for? All right?
- 2:17Speaker 7: This is what all right, the the AI, they old
- 2:19Speaker 7: AI all powerful Rock said, if a mosquitos suddenly vanished,
- 2:23Speaker 7: the biggest and most immediate effect would be the near
- 2:24Speaker 7: total elimination of mosquito board diseases. Oh good, okay, saving
- 2:28Speaker 7: hundreds of thousands of human lives every year because it
- 2:32Speaker 7: kills like.
- 2:32Speaker 4: The most people, right, yeah, it does also more than
- 2:35Speaker 4: sharks and alleg all the other things that people are
- 2:37Speaker 4: like wildly afraid of snakes.
- 2:39Speaker 5: And forget people.
- 2:40Speaker 7: It's says will also reduce the suffering in animals of
- 2:43Speaker 7: major quality life boost and bites and swarming, et cetera,
- 2:45Speaker 7: et cetera. Ecological disruptions would occur short term and in
- 2:49Speaker 7: certain regions, but most scientists expect ecosystems to adjust over
- 2:52Speaker 7: time with modest long term impacts.
- 2:54Speaker 4: It will be fine.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Yes, So Google is trying to like put all the
- 3:00Speaker 5: other Mosquitos out there that have like you know, bunked
- 3:03Speaker 5: seamen right, yeah, and then like eliminate them. So, but
- 3:07Speaker 5: everybody's hanging on Google because they're like what is Google doing?
- 3:11Speaker 4: And what's the point of World Mosquito Day, Like what
- 3:12Speaker 4: are we supposed to do? Like honor them, probably Mosquito,
- 3:15Speaker 4: shout him out. Get ready for every radio dope on
- 3:17Speaker 4: the planet for National Radio Day.
- 3:19Speaker 7: Oh yeah, Well the ones that are still left there
- 3:21Speaker 7: are fewer and fewer every every year.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah, so you'll see fewer posts.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, you're gonna see a couple of people
- 3:26Speaker 5: like with that hat that has that little propeller on
- 3:29Speaker 5: the top. So you'll see a.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Lot of people who are now real estate agents remembering
- 3:34Speaker 7: the radio careers. Today's National Chocolate Pecan Pie Day. That'll
- 3:39Speaker 7: be us someday Sea Bass cheerful. Well, look, I'm already
- 3:43Speaker 7: an influencer on the YouTube, so I'm already a gen
- 3:45Speaker 7: Z superstar.
- 3:48Speaker 4: He's so young, you know, That's the first thing you
- 3:50Speaker 4: think of when you see Sea Bass, Like how young?
- 3:52Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Yeah, he's not cooked at all, not chopped whatsoever.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Right on today Sammy's National Bacon Lover's Day. No, thank you. Yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 4: you know, she does love. She does love Trader Joe's.
- 4:06Speaker 8: I do love Trader Joe's. Who doesn't.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yeah, what's hot at Trader Joe's lately?
- 4:10Speaker 6: Well?
- 4:10Speaker 4: Uh so. Trader Joe's employees were asked what they feel
- 4:14Speaker 4: are the best items in the store and where to start.
- 4:18Speaker 4: As I'm looking at the items, it's not like the
- 4:21Speaker 4: typical stuff that everybody always talks about, like the orange chicken,
- 4:26Speaker 4: or like some of the like the cookie butter or
- 4:28Speaker 4: things like that. So I think they're trying to go
- 4:29Speaker 4: for some other things that are really good that maybe
- 4:32Speaker 4: not a lot of people either know about or aren't
- 4:35Speaker 4: as popular, like the Unsung Hero.
- 4:37Speaker 9: Yeah, so Trader Joe's employees just so everyone knows when
- 4:41Speaker 9: new products come in because they have so many seasonal ones.
- 4:43Speaker 8: They all try them.
- 4:44Speaker 9: They put them in the back for everybody to try
- 4:46Speaker 9: so that they can recommend them and let you know.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Okay, so here's what got the most votes. You could
- 4:50Speaker 4: tell us if you've tried any of these? Uh, the
- 4:52Speaker 4: cinnamon coffee cake muffins. Greg, how much coffee is in there?
- 4:56Speaker 4: There's been so much talk of coffee cake.
- 4:58Speaker 6: It's the star.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Have you tried those?
- 5:00Speaker 10: I have not.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Coffee cake muffin, don't have four PM, You'll never go
- 5:03Speaker 4: to bed it get it? The strawberry doodle cookies.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Never heard of that?
- 5:12Speaker 6: All right?
- 5:12Speaker 4: Trader Joe's employees saying these are the best items in
- 5:15Speaker 4: the store. Unexpected cheddar cheese spread with hatch chili.
- 5:21Speaker 5: It's unexpected, mean as vegan or something stupid.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Maybe I don't Maybe we've got that we Greg. The
- 5:27Speaker 4: coffee bean blast ice cream.
- 5:30Speaker 6: How could anybody not know about that?
- 5:32Speaker 4: It's the okay? Maybe? Maybe for Sammy? Here the butternut
- 5:37Speaker 4: squash mac and cheese. Have you tried that?
- 5:40Speaker 8: Not the butternut squash, No, but I have had the
- 5:42Speaker 8: regular mac and cheese. It's delicious. And the white cheddar
- 5:45Speaker 8: so good. I just had it last night.
- 5:47Speaker 6: M M fat.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Sammy will you have any who who got in trouble
- 5:54Speaker 4: for calling her fat Sammy? Did somebody to get a
- 5:56Speaker 4: talking to? I did, I.
- 5:59Speaker 11: Did, and they get by one of our co hosts,
- 6:03Speaker 11: one of our one of the other shows, one of
- 6:05Speaker 11: the shows.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Were they serious?
- 6:07Speaker 11: I couldn't tell, but he's like, yes, Sammy came to
- 6:09Speaker 11: me and has been complaining.
- 6:10Speaker 4: And one of the other managers like, was it Paul,
- 6:13Speaker 4: It was Paul. Yeah, Paul said something that you just
- 6:16Speaker 4: somebody else.
- 6:16Speaker 6: I think it was, Well, it was me. It was
- 6:19Speaker 6: definitely me in the bathroom when I ran into Paul,
- 6:21Speaker 6: I heard you saying, uh, Sammy's fat, and I think
- 6:25Speaker 6: he said it to somebody Else's said it.
- 6:26Speaker 8: To me as well. They've been getting.
- 6:28Speaker 7: Complaints about double stammer because how for how long have
- 6:32Speaker 7: you everyone calling woody and.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Yeah, ever no complaints about that when it comes you
- 6:38Speaker 5: can't be mean to girls.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I would love to know who's been complaining, because it's
- 6:43Speaker 4: not Sammy, Like, who's been complaining fatties that we're saying
- 6:48Speaker 4: fat Sammy? Please, I can have the Valentine.
- 6:51Speaker 11: He's the one who hit me up.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Oh really, yeah, he was one.
- 6:54Speaker 11: He said Sammy was complaining to him, but I was like,
- 6:57Speaker 11: were you complaining about fat?
- 6:59Speaker 5: She's looking at an angler for a job.
- 7:01Speaker 4: All right, so h Korean style yangum sauce.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Oh yum yum sauce.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Right, it's a y a n g y n y
- 7:09Speaker 4: e o m yan sauce. It's used to coke Korean
- 7:13Speaker 4: fried chicken, but also works as a marinade or as
- 7:15Speaker 4: a dipping sauce. Yangyo Uh. The olive fugas, which is
- 7:22Speaker 4: a flatbread fugas. And then the pumpkin cream cheese spread,
- 7:30Speaker 4: pupkin cream cheese, pumpkin cream cheese.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Put that on a cinnamon bagel, and then.
- 7:36Speaker 4: And then the chunky garlic and jilipeno hot sauce.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Dude.
- 7:40Speaker 5: One of my favorite items not on that list the
- 7:42Speaker 5: many French baguettes. They're in the frozen section, dude, so good.
- 7:47Speaker 5: They're just like a nice little added thing that you
- 7:49Speaker 5: can have, Like I love getting a steak, some mashed
- 7:53Speaker 5: potatoes and then having these baguettes.
- 7:56Speaker 11: Dude, bombs.
- 7:57Speaker 8: He did recommend them to me and I did try them,
- 7:59Speaker 8: and sorry minutes, but they were pretty man.
- 8:03Speaker 11: Made them wrong.
- 8:04Speaker 7: Okay, okay, user, are you not talking about the boats,
- 8:09Speaker 7: which are the butter, the pre buttered like.

- 8:16Speaker 5: regular Yeah, what do you put on them?
- 8:18Speaker 11: Are you just straight?
- 8:21Speaker 8: I mean I just put butter on them.

- 12:11Speaker 4: her juneral. Yeah, her uncle died and so you know, Jews,
- 12:16Speaker 4: they got to be in the ground with a pretty
- 12:18Speaker 4: short turnaround.
- 12:20Speaker 6: I would love to know the logistics of that.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So she she hopped a plane to go be with
- 12:25Speaker 4: her family, and uh, she'll be back Monday, I believe. Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 4: all right, yeah she'll be back on Monday. But yeah,
- 12:34Speaker 4: last minute, last man a flight nine and then her mom,
- 12:40Speaker 4: like I guess, stepped in. She had some unused Southwest credits,
- 12:43Speaker 4: but that meant that she had to connect.
- 12:46Speaker 6: Yeah each direction.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Yeah nah no, yeah, but yeah, so Gina's not here
- 12:55Speaker 4: today and she's with her family. Today's Jeff G's birthday.
- 13:01Speaker 4: You know if that means Gena's out more cake for us?
- 13:03Speaker 5: Yes, yes, a lot of trama over the cake this morning.
- 13:06Speaker 5: What do you mean, So I usually go get the
- 13:08Speaker 5: cakes and the store that I get them from. They're
- 13:11Speaker 5: doing inventory this week and they were closed overnight, so
- 13:15Speaker 5: ill really go pick up the cakes. So I had
- 13:17Speaker 5: to hit up Vonda grab some stuff.
- 13:20Speaker 11: So thank you.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Yeah, so thanks for handling.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I don'tise they closed the store down to do stuff
- 13:25Speaker 4: like that.
- 13:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know if they had all the signs
- 13:28Speaker 5: or said they said, we're not going to be opened
- 13:30Speaker 5: until later this morning. But when they gave the dates.
- 13:33Speaker 4: What did von come back with us?
- 13:34Speaker 6: Here?
- 13:34Speaker 4: There's some cupcakes there, got a better You got a
- 13:36Speaker 4: better view of it than I do.
- 13:38Speaker 11: Yeah, it's some cupcakes and vanilla and chocolate and then
- 13:41Speaker 11: a little chocolate cake.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Perfect, the world's smallest cake and some cupcakes. I usually
- 13:47Speaker 5: come with like three cakes, Jeff, So this is dude,
- 13:50Speaker 5: this is perfect.
- 13:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I don't get how are you with your birthday?
- 13:52Speaker 6: Are you?
- 13:53Speaker 4: Are you more like me where it's like I don't
- 13:56Speaker 4: I don't want parties, I don't want anything like that,
- 13:57Speaker 4: or you more like Menace where it's a whole birthday month,
- 14:00Speaker 4: got to celebrate.
- 14:00Speaker 11: Definitely not like Menace. Yeah, more chill, just like yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 11: you know it is what it is.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Yeah, day, And are you worried about your age? How
- 14:06Speaker 4: old are you? No?
- 14:07Speaker 6: Fifty four?
- 14:08Speaker 11: No?
- 14:09Speaker 4: Not weird?
- 14:09Speaker 6: Did it happen?
- 14:10Speaker 13: Then?
- 14:10Speaker 14: No?
- 14:10Speaker 11: I don't care.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Yeah right, it's like who cares whatever?
- 14:13Speaker 6: I mean, what can you just do?
- 14:14Speaker 11: Just the number?
- 14:15Speaker 6: Right? How are you with cards? Because last night I
- 14:18Speaker 6: was thinking I should probably get jeff of card and
- 14:20Speaker 6: then I thought maybe I was projecting onto you that
- 14:23Speaker 6: you would be like, so, I.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Oh, look it's a card from Greg.
- 14:31Speaker 11: Cards are appreciated, and it doesn't make you any more
- 14:33Speaker 11: gay to give me.
- 14:34Speaker 4: A next one. Yeah, once the ball crosses the plane, dude,
- 14:41Speaker 4: you don't want to think that you're gig right, I know,
- 14:45Speaker 4: no cards are Finally, I let WiFi just do all
- 14:48Speaker 4: her stuff.
- 14:49Speaker 11: Like this morning I got up and there was like
- 14:50Speaker 11: a little happy birthday sign and stuff was really sweet.
- 14:54Speaker 11: I let her do her thing. But I'm like, you
- 14:56Speaker 11: would he like, I don't need a ton of attention.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Like, yeah, so, what will your wife do you for
- 15:00Speaker 4: your birthday?
- 15:01Speaker 11: I have no idea. I have no idea. Probably I'm
- 15:04Speaker 11: sure there will be a cake or.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Something typically like what happens cake, usual.
- 15:08Speaker 11: Dinner or something like that, But I told her today
- 15:10Speaker 11: I just want to make something like I'm gonna barbecue
- 15:12Speaker 11: when I get home.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Oh, you're gonna make okay? All right, Yeah, I'm sure
- 15:16Speaker 4: she's fine with that. It's like Father's Day. They have
- 15:19Speaker 4: the dad grill. Yes, well, I mean, uh, yeah, I guess, yeah,
- 15:25Speaker 4: I guess that makes sense. That's what you want. Yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 4: you got to give the person whose birthday is what
- 15:31Speaker 4: they want, and if they don't want a big deal
- 15:33Speaker 4: about it, don't make a big deal about it. If
- 15:36Speaker 4: they want a big deal about it, give him his birthday.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Nobody believe that's the problem is it could be a
- 15:43Speaker 6: mind game.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Yeah, it could be a trick.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think you guys make more about it
- 15:47Speaker 4: than it is. It's not like you can't say, like, oh,
- 15:49Speaker 4: don't you dare say happy birthday to me. It's just
- 15:51Speaker 4: I don't want the party. I don't no surprises. I
- 15:53Speaker 4: don't need stuff like that. No cards, No.
- 15:57Speaker 6: I don't.
- 15:57Speaker 4: I don't need the gifts or cakes or anything like
- 16:00Speaker 4: that to come with birthdays.
- 16:01Speaker 5: That's the trick.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, really want to see that. No, the birthday present
- 16:06Speaker 4: makes me super uncomfortable, unnecessary. Christmas is a little bit
- 16:09Speaker 4: different because there's multiple people getting gifts.
- 16:11Speaker 6: Right, right, but there's in a life with no kids, Christmas,
- 16:15Speaker 6: no more presents ever.
- 16:16Speaker 4: I agree.
- 16:17Speaker 6: I bring this up every single year. I agree, presence
- 16:21Speaker 6: bold italic underline yep. And then what happens.
- 16:23Speaker 4: It's like the Taylor Swift Travis Kelcey wedding man. No gifts, Yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 4: and then somebody ends up getting a gift. And then
- 16:29Speaker 4: because I stuck to the rule, I don't have a gift,
- 16:32Speaker 4: and Christmas is ruin. Yeah, sucks, no gifts like some people,
- 16:37Speaker 4: like for my wife for example, like you have to
- 16:41Speaker 4: have a balloon, like one of those milar balloons that
- 16:44Speaker 4: say happy birthday. One of those must be in the house.
- 16:47Speaker 4: If there's someone in the house with a birthday, that's fine.
- 16:50Speaker 4: And she feels like she's failed. And I was like,
- 16:52Speaker 4: was this the thing she was? You never had a
- 16:54Speaker 4: balloon for your birthday? I said, no, we did. We
- 16:57Speaker 4: didn't do balloons. We do cards and there was cake,
- 17:01Speaker 4: but there was never the balloon. But the balloon was
- 17:03Speaker 4: the thing. It wasn't you know what I mean? Like,
- 17:06Speaker 4: it wasn't a birthday unless there was the balloon.
- 17:08Speaker 5: There just one.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Yeah, at least at least for her, I'm saying at
- 17:12Speaker 4: least a balloon. They're not like a typical like a
- 17:15Speaker 4: you know, whatever balloon, like the big silvery Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 11: You guys ever get in arguments over your lack of
- 17:22Speaker 11: birthday enthusiasm.
- 17:24Speaker 4: No, I mean she she likes to try to plan stuff,
- 17:27Speaker 4: and she says it's for the kids, like because the
- 17:29Speaker 4: kids need to show some kind of like acknowledgment or appreciation,
- 17:32Speaker 4: which I do understand that side of it too.
- 17:34Speaker 11: Of course they have to learn.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but then she went for my fortieth birthday. She
- 17:38Speaker 4: got a bunch of people together and orchestrated this whole thing,
- 17:41Speaker 4: and you know, it's like, oh man, yeah it was.
- 17:46Speaker 4: It was fine because it's all the people I like,
- 17:48Speaker 4: you know, it's it's fine. But I don't believe it
- 17:51Speaker 4: or not even having this job, Like I don't enjoy
- 17:54Speaker 4: being center of attention. I just don't get it.
- 17:56Speaker 8: But the celebration is for everyone. We all want cake.
- 17:59Speaker 8: You did not your birthday just means I love the cake.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Yeah you can have a cake.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Okay, cake is fine. Cake's fine. No surprise party, no
- 18:07Speaker 4: big thing, no big to do.
- 18:09Speaker 6: That's all a restaurant when they sing happy birthday.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't even care. About that. You don't know
- 18:16Speaker 4: because I'm not. I'm not easily embarrassed. If you haven't
- 18:19Speaker 4: figured that out. That part doesn't bother me. I mean
- 18:22Speaker 4: I'd rather not. It's kind of dumb.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I don't feel embarrassed by it, but I
- 18:27Speaker 5: I feel bad for the employees that have.
- 18:29Speaker 6: To do it.
- 18:29Speaker 11: Yeah, I've been one of those employees in the back
- 18:33Speaker 11: of the house and we got a birthday on forty
- 18:35Speaker 11: seven and doesn't want.
- 18:37Speaker 5: To do it.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Did they have their own song or were they singing
- 18:40Speaker 4: Happy birthday?
- 18:41Speaker 11: It was like that happy happy birthday, you know, twist
- 18:45Speaker 11: on that.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Yeah, O will happy birthday, Jeff g appreciate that.
- 18:48Speaker 11: Thank you guys very much, and thank you guys for
- 18:50Speaker 11: the cake and cokakew.
- 18:55Speaker 4: And with Gina Grant out today we got to you.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Gotta tell you what Greg it comes.
- 19:00Speaker 6: To news Joe right, he is, well, I forget about it.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Sorry that he's the goat hebe Yeah, he's the og man.
- 19:10Speaker 5: I love his delivery on Newsabe, I love.
- 19:13Speaker 6: You great, hold my hand while we do this.
- 19:17Speaker 4: You guys just make down.
- 19:18Speaker 11: I'm down.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Let's go trending news headlines. What's happening?
- 19:21Speaker 6: Well, the investigation into Hayden Pantiera's death is getting more serious,
- 19:25Speaker 6: so police and now even the DEA are investigating whether
- 19:28Speaker 6: there was any possible criminal activity connected to her death.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Investigators also went to the boyfriend's home to continue gathering info,
- 19:36Speaker 6: and Hayden's mom says police brought in narcotics investigators as
- 19:39Speaker 6: they took a look into possible drug involvement. There's no
- 19:43Speaker 6: sign that anyone has been accused of a crime, but
- 19:45Speaker 6: clearly investigators still have a lot of questions.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Matthew perry Man, they started digging into all, right, where
- 19:51Speaker 4: did this stuff come from?
- 19:53Speaker 6: Right? I was surprised by all that that actually resulted
- 19:55Speaker 6: in multiple convictions. We will see where that goes. Also,
- 20:00Speaker 6: some more info about the court case that's playing out
- 20:03Speaker 6: right now where Meta is being sued for one point
- 20:05Speaker 6: four trillion dollars by twenty nine US states. Now, we
- 20:09Speaker 6: were asking what would happen with that money? Who would
- 20:11Speaker 6: get it? Definitely not US, I'm thinking the lawyers. But
- 20:14Speaker 6: there is a new report laying out what changes would
- 20:17Speaker 6: happen if Zuckerberg and Meta lose the case. So number one,
- 20:21Speaker 6: death of the infinite scroll and auto play, because those
- 20:24Speaker 6: features are intended to take you down a rabbit hole
- 20:26Speaker 6: and maximize screen time.
- 20:28Speaker 4: All right, I'll give you that. Yeah, that's fine.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Number two the end of the like button because one
- 20:33Speaker 6: of the main ways teens get hooked on social media
- 20:35Speaker 6: is their addiction to the like count, and this lawsuit
- 20:38Speaker 6: would end social validation metrics.
- 20:40Speaker 4: That's fine because people do that. They'll disable that anyway.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Half the people that you see on social media because
- 20:45Speaker 4: they can't turn it off. That doesn't look lame.
- 20:48Speaker 10: That's a big sign if they have it off like.
- 20:53Speaker 9: That will affect influencers stuff, anyone making money off of it.
- 20:56Speaker 4: But most people aren't influencers. Most people just have it
- 20:58Speaker 4: because they have Instagram.
- 21:00Speaker 6: If it's not your post, if I'm looking at Sammy's post,
- 21:03Speaker 6: for example, it'll say you and others liked this and
- 21:06Speaker 6: I've had it all.
- 21:07Speaker 5: It says easy fix for that. For so long, I
- 21:09Speaker 5: don't know why they don't do this because they used to.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Is you know when your videos when you post them,
- 21:16Speaker 5: instead of showing the like count, just showed the amount
- 21:19Speaker 5: of views that I got because the view count can
- 21:22Speaker 5: be like forty thousand.
- 21:23Speaker 11: But you're like, why why.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Does any of that stuff need to be public facing.
- 21:26Speaker 6: It doesn't.
- 21:27Speaker 4: I think that's kind of stupid for monetization. Monetization, Yeah,
- 21:31Speaker 4: but that's that's more between the person who posted it
- 21:33Speaker 4: and Instagram. Like, just if I'm on your account, what
- 21:37Speaker 4: do I care? How many it's when I hear these
- 21:39Speaker 4: numbers every week about how much a movie made at
- 21:42Speaker 4: the box office, what do I care. There's nothing to
- 21:44Speaker 4: do with me. That's between the movie studio and the
- 21:46Speaker 4: people who made it.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Yeah, it goes back to what you were saying and
- 21:51Speaker 5: samuy are saying. It's like the people that do this,
- 21:54Speaker 5: you know, for monetization and for a living. Yes, they
- 21:56Speaker 5: want to show the higher number.
- 21:58Speaker 11: I mean, but most of those companies is right. We'll
- 22:00Speaker 11: dig into further metrics inside Instagram rather than just that
- 22:04Speaker 11: fun face.
- 22:05Speaker 4: And you can and you could still pull all that.
- 22:07Speaker 4: It's just not public facing. You just don't see that stuff.
- 22:09Speaker 5: And if it really matters, it only matters about your
- 22:13Speaker 5: actual reach, like how many people you're actually reaching, the
- 22:16Speaker 5: view count, the like count, all that stuff. So we're
- 22:18Speaker 5: talking about from again from a business standpoint, but the
- 22:20Speaker 5: average person is the majority of the people are just
- 22:24Speaker 5: regular people who are posting what they you know, did
- 22:27Speaker 5: this weekend or something with their kids, and it's for
- 22:29Speaker 5: the other people in the family to be able to
- 22:31Speaker 5: see it, maybe leave a comment.
- 22:32Speaker 4: That's the majority of it. Most we don't care about
- 22:34Speaker 4: the business of it. So much is made about that.
- 22:36Speaker 4: So if that stuff goes away, who cares?
- 22:38Speaker 6: Who cares?
- 22:38Speaker 4: Probably that's probably not a bad thing because of the
- 22:41Speaker 4: people in their constant quest for that validation.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:44Speaker 6: Another possible change, change number three, This is the one
- 22:47Speaker 6: that I like, could mean no more algorithmic manipulation. So
- 22:51Speaker 6: that could mean a return to the old chronological way.
- 22:55Speaker 6: I don't love that, yea, because ninety percent of the
- 22:57Speaker 6: time you're looking at Instagram and what do you don't
- 22:59Speaker 6: know this but Facebook? Because you don't have Facebook of it,
- 23:03Speaker 6: I don't know this person? Who is this? But why
- 23:04Speaker 6: can't you just put it in order?
- 23:06Speaker 4: Leave it alone? And also the even accounts that you
- 23:09Speaker 4: do follow ABC News for example, right, we follow ABC News.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Just see what's getting there will be something. I'm like,
- 23:15Speaker 4: wait that, just wait, hold on, and I see it's
- 23:17Speaker 4: from two weeks ago, exactly. It's a headline. I go, wait,
- 23:21Speaker 4: that's two weeks ago. Why is such a shut up?
- 23:24Speaker 6: Now? Change that happily. That fourth possibility curbing frequent notifications
- 23:28Speaker 6: because excessive push notifications designed to get people hooked again
- 23:32Speaker 6: would be cut out. I know who I would never
- 23:35Speaker 6: turn those on. And then finally the death of finsta,
- 23:38Speaker 6: those burner accounts that parents don't see. Those states are
- 23:41Speaker 6: pushing for stricter parental verification and limits on multiple account creation.
- 23:46Speaker 4: You know what, I hope Meta so loses all this stuff.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Sounds pretty good, right, I'm down for all that stuff.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yes, nice changes, lawyers get rich, right, none of it wins.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You know what.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Good? Let them let them lose because that sounds great
- 24:00Speaker 4: for all that.
- 24:01Speaker 6: I wonder how long this is going to take though?
- 24:02Speaker 6: Probably another what year?
- 24:04Speaker 5: Ten to filter?
- 24:07Speaker 6: Ten years? Also, we just talked about a cop getting
- 24:09Speaker 6: busted for allegedly using flock cameras to keep tabs on
- 24:12Speaker 6: an X and apparently she wasn't the only one, because
- 24:15Speaker 6: a police officer in Massachusetts might get fired and face
- 24:18Speaker 6: possible criminal charges for allegedly using the license plate surveillance
- 24:22Speaker 6: system to look up someone he personally knew, and police
- 24:26Speaker 6: say the officer accessed information at least five times with
- 24:30Speaker 6: no real legitimate law enforcement reason to do it, so
- 24:33Speaker 6: he was placed on leave. His access to department systems
- 24:37Speaker 6: got taken away, and the town now has to completely
- 24:40Speaker 6: cut ties with Flock and remove the cameras. Flock is
- 24:43Speaker 6: so mad. But if I was a cop, those are
- 24:45Speaker 6: two things I'd be way too tempted to do. Take
- 24:48Speaker 6: evidence and look up people at banks.
- 24:51Speaker 5: And this would be like looking up people as accounts.
- 24:54Speaker 4: So my first wife, she worked to the bank as
- 24:57Speaker 4: a teller, and at that time, you worry, we'll just
- 24:59Speaker 4: look up any They've since changed that, but at that
- 25:02Speaker 4: time I remember she would talk about how, yeah, they
- 25:04Speaker 4: were always looking to see if they can find any
- 25:05Speaker 4: famous people's names.
- 25:07Speaker 5: Yeah, friends, they would look up Kobe's account, all kinds
- 25:10Speaker 5: of stuff.
- 25:10Speaker 15: So I was at the bank yesterday and I had
- 25:12Speaker 15: that thought. I was just getting quarters for laundry, right,
- 25:15Speaker 15: but I'm like, can this girl see how much money?
- 25:17Speaker 4: I have? Yeah?
- 25:17Speaker 10: Of course my debit card.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Oh yeah, if she's helping you, for sure, absolutely they
- 25:24Speaker 4: can always see your account. But because you put your
- 25:27Speaker 4: card in there, they have you enter your pin that
- 25:29Speaker 4: accesses the account, verifies the account. Then then yeah, then
- 25:32Speaker 4: they can go in there and do whatever you were
- 25:34Speaker 4: there to do.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Quarters back in the day they could type in like
- 25:37Speaker 5: Tom Hollands, Oh yeah, yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and just see these these flock camera things and
- 25:41Speaker 4: these cops. There was a cop in South Carolina who
- 25:43Speaker 4: got fired because they were using the flock cameras to
- 25:47Speaker 4: find their ex. So they were searching the ex's license
- 25:50Speaker 4: played one hundred and sixty six times.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Oh my double check.
- 25:54Speaker 4: Was this a guy or a girl cop? I think
- 25:57Speaker 4: I thought so too. It's a change, Yeah, I thought
- 26:02Speaker 4: for sure. Be yeah, I thought for sure that'd be
- 26:04Speaker 4: like a dude's behavior.
- 26:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 4: No, this chick was tracking his dude, keeping dabs and
- 26:08Speaker 4: where he was. They asked her about it. She gave
- 26:11Speaker 4: a bunch of bogus explanations. They did an investigation. I
- 26:14Speaker 4: figured out no charges or anything, but she was mega fired.
- 26:16Speaker 6: All that access you have is a cop way too tempting.
- 26:19Speaker 6: I know, right way too. I would say, yeah, we
- 26:21Speaker 6: found a ten thousand dollars at this house.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I would just want to really know that no one's
- 26:25Speaker 4: gonna pull me over.
- 26:26Speaker 6: Yeah, and Morgan a dead giveaway if you tell her
- 26:29Speaker 6: and knows your account. Did she start laughing when you okay?
- 26:34Speaker 4: Also apparently doing Greg and I go to the doctor
- 26:36Speaker 4: and they see our penis.
- 26:39Speaker 6: Why is my doctor always laughing and whispering to the nurses?
- 26:42Speaker 6: Look at that guy? Yeah, So apparently just putting air
- 26:45Speaker 6: pods in your ears is not enough anymore, because now
- 26:48Speaker 6: Apple wants them to see everything as well. So Apple
- 26:51Speaker 6: accidentally included a demo video in a Mac os update
- 26:54Speaker 6: appears to show new AirPods with tiny built in cameras
- 26:58Speaker 6: and something called visual intelligence. So in the video, a
- 27:01Speaker 6: guy looks at a book and Siri is able to
- 27:03Speaker 6: recognize what he's looking at and save it for later.
- 27:06Speaker 6: And reporters say these cameras would feed low resolution visual
- 27:09Speaker 6: infhoto theory, so it can identify objects, help with navigation,
- 27:12Speaker 6: and answer questions about whatever is around you. So this
- 27:16Speaker 6: should bring on more privacy complaints as well.
- 27:19Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't. We don't need cameras in our ears,
- 27:22Speaker 4: you know, Like what he stop and think about? Well,
- 27:24Speaker 4: what are we really talking about here?
- 27:26Speaker 6: Yeah? Yeah, what do we do?
- 27:27Speaker 4: I saw this advertisement for this little AI camera that
- 27:29Speaker 4: you can wear on your chest a little button. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 4: just like a like a magnet kind of thing to
- 27:33Speaker 4: your chest, and uh, you walk around with it all
- 27:35Speaker 4: day long. Yeah, And then at the end of the day.
- 27:37Speaker 4: It makes a real of your day. I'm like, for
- 27:40Speaker 4: what that's what obviously what? I like, what do we
- 27:43Speaker 4: need this for?
- 27:44Speaker 6: I mean, if you have Alzheimer's, maybe you would need that.
- 27:47Speaker 11: Yeah, exactly, that'll stop to post this post it notes.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Yeah, first, I see I see why people are are
- 27:53Speaker 4: going more back to the dumb phone. Yeah, you know
- 27:56Speaker 4: they're they're going more analog. It's like, it's just a
- 27:59Speaker 4: it's too much.
- 28:00Speaker 6: The first time I tried the metaglasses and we did
- 28:03Speaker 6: that feature where you look at something and you say,
- 28:05Speaker 6: what am I looking at? I thought that was dumb
- 28:08Speaker 6: because I thought, do I not know what I'm looking at?
- 28:10Speaker 6: But I like it if you're looking at stupid example,
- 28:13Speaker 6: like a plant that you don't know what the plant
- 28:15Speaker 6: is or you know something in that regard. But otherwise
- 28:18Speaker 6: I know what I did today and I know what
- 28:20Speaker 6: I'm looking at. I don't need you to tell me.
- 28:23Speaker 4: We don't need any more cameras anywhere. We have plenty more.
- 28:28Speaker 4: Every part of your life is already, whether you realize
- 28:30Speaker 4: it or not, already on video somewhere. It's amazing. Not
- 28:33Speaker 4: every single crime is solved within a minute. Right already
- 28:36Speaker 4: for what we have now, for what we already currently have.
- 28:39Speaker 6: Yeah, finally, ESPN's programming strategy is pretty one dimensional and obvious.
- 28:45Speaker 6: It's just more Pat McAfee. So it already seems like
- 28:48Speaker 6: McAfee's on ESPN all day long, but now you're about
- 28:50Speaker 6: to see him even more so. ESPN announced that Pat
- 28:54Speaker 6: is joining Monday Night Countdown alongside Scott Van Pelt, Jason Kelsey,
- 28:57Speaker 6: Marcus Spears, and Jason McCarty. He's still the host of
- 29:00Speaker 6: the Pat McAfee show. Naturally, he'll also be on College
- 29:03Speaker 6: Game Day along with Monday Night Football. ESPN clearly believes
- 29:07Speaker 6: that mc McAfee is worth it as they head into
- 29:10Speaker 6: their first season broadcasting the Super Bowl. Now, he currently
- 29:13Speaker 6: makes thirty million per year, and he's at an extension
- 29:17Speaker 6: that would pay him sixty five million per price.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, the guy's working seven days a week. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 4: you think about you know, the NFL is what Mondays
- 29:25Speaker 4: Thursday days? Yeah, so Monday Thursday selects Saturdays after college
- 29:29Speaker 4: football wraps up, and then on Sundays. Yeah, right, then
- 29:32Speaker 4: he got college football. He's doing that plus the Pat
- 29:35Speaker 4: McAfee show. He's doing sometimes multiple shows per day now
- 29:39Speaker 4: for sixty five million dollars.
- 29:40Speaker 6: I'll figure it out.
- 29:41Speaker 4: But to have no downtime, I wonder how sustainable that is,
- 29:44Speaker 4: Like how long can you have that kind of schedule?
- 29:47Speaker 5: That's what I was about to say, like that you
- 29:49Speaker 5: still need time to retain information, you know, to be
- 29:53Speaker 5: able to speak about it.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Right Why you're just constantly talking about it and you're
- 29:57Speaker 4: constantly having the conversation.
- 29:58Speaker 6: To absorb it, I don't know.
- 30:02Speaker 5: I don't know, Like I would think that he would
- 30:04Speaker 5: need some kind of breakdown to like follow the news
- 30:06Speaker 5: of like each team that he's talking about right now.
- 30:09Speaker 4: When you're I would think when you're constantly talking about
- 30:11Speaker 4: the teams and constantly talking with the players, it's just
- 30:13Speaker 4: a constant education of what you're talking about. Yeah, it's
- 30:17Speaker 4: not like you have a four hour show. You have
- 30:20Speaker 4: to prepare for that four hours and use that time outside.
- 30:22Speaker 4: It's like he's always in that conversation because he's always
- 30:24Speaker 4: doing something. He's always talking sports, he's on one of
- 30:28Speaker 4: these shows around the clock. It feels that way. And
- 30:32Speaker 4: I love Pat McAfee, but damn, he's also risking what
- 30:35Speaker 4: happened to Jelly Roll, which is the overexposure the oversaturation,
- 30:39Speaker 4: which now jelly roll. Just so he's taking like a
- 30:41Speaker 4: year or two off. Yeah, yeah, good and good for him? Yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 4: good for him, dude?
- 30:44Speaker 6: Why not?
- 30:45Speaker 4: Yeah? The guy was going nuts. He was everywhere. Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 4: cool taking didn't that be cool? Who is it who
- 30:52Speaker 4: played Joey on Friends with Matthew? Matt Yeah, Matt, Matt LeBlanc,
- 30:56Speaker 4: Matt LeBlanc. He took a year off because that was cool.
- 30:59Speaker 4: I'm gonna do another one.
- 31:00Speaker 6: I think I'll do another one. And then he went
- 31:01Speaker 6: it like five yeah, like why not? Well, you're making
- 31:04Speaker 6: twenty million dollars in residuals every days.
- 31:07Speaker 4: You know, my kids and they talk about this. My
- 31:09Speaker 4: son's seventeen. He goes, oh yeah, my friends, there's a
- 31:12Speaker 4: couple of them that are going to take a gap year,
- 31:15Speaker 4: a gap from what what do you need a gap from?
- 31:19Speaker 6: Right?
- 31:19Speaker 4: You play an Xbox, your sweet life, your summer's off,
- 31:24Speaker 4: A gap year after the awesome house that you live
- 31:26Speaker 4: in that you pay nothing toward. Oh god, I need
- 31:29Speaker 4: what do you what do you need a gap for?
- 31:31Speaker 4: It's the equivalent where is my where's my gap? I
- 31:34Speaker 4: want a gap? Like on the Kardashians going on vacation.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Vacation implies taking a vacation from something, right, So I'm
- 31:42Speaker 4: just jealous.
- 31:43Speaker 5: But the gap year are they like actually going somewhere.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Usually I'm just going to take a year off before
- 31:50Speaker 4: you go focus on college. No, dude, No, No, at
- 31:52Speaker 4: least you gier to learn the world. Yeah, actually go somewhere.
- 31:56Speaker 10: Decide is going to be exploding.
- 31:58Speaker 4: I told him. He said, look, man, you're free to
- 32:00Speaker 4: a gap year, but you're not living here and I'm
- 32:02Speaker 4: not paying for it. So if you can fund it
- 32:05Speaker 4: and you have a place to stay or whatever, great,
- 32:07Speaker 4: go for it. Take all the gap.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Year you want, take a gap life, doing a gap
- 32:11Speaker 5: year at home.
- 32:12Speaker 4: No, dog, that's so dumb. That's a non starter.
- 32:16Speaker 6: Yes, at this point, why don't we just all liquidate
- 32:18Speaker 6: our bank account and take the money and put it
- 32:20Speaker 6: in a fire.
- 32:23Speaker 1: I'm looking for real answers, No Woody show, dude.
- 32:27Speaker 4: It's a weird world, man, I don't care how you
- 32:30Speaker 4: slice it, how you dice it. It's a weird world.
- 32:32Speaker 4: What's happening a couple things. So this guy in Virginia,
- 32:40Speaker 4: he was found not guilty of a twenty nineteen murder
- 32:43Speaker 4: by reason of insanity.
- 32:45Speaker 6: Your favorite, my favorite.
- 32:47Speaker 4: And he was sent to a mental hospital, all right,
- 32:50Speaker 4: but he wasn't planning on sticking around there. He was
- 32:52Speaker 4: giving and he was given this authorized, authorized forty eight
- 32:56Speaker 4: hour unaccompanied community pass. Really, here's a guy who who
- 33:01Speaker 4: murdered somebody because he's so crazy. He pleads not guilty
- 33:05Speaker 4: by reason of insanity meeting. There's no saving this person.
- 33:09Speaker 4: This person is so broken they don't have a control
- 33:11Speaker 4: over anything. It wasn't even like a heat of the
- 33:13Speaker 4: moment kind of decision. And you just snapped and just
- 33:15Speaker 4: not killed this person. You're so bat ish crazy that
- 33:18Speaker 4: you just get anyway. They gave this person and authorized
- 33:21Speaker 4: forty eight hour unaccompanied community pass, which Virginia law allows
- 33:27Speaker 4: for committed patience, which is so dumb by itself, And
- 33:31Speaker 4: what do you do? Went to the airport, bought a
- 33:33Speaker 4: plane ticket and now he's out. He's in a Jikistan.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Where are that f that is y? Yeah, so when
- 33:43Speaker 4: the forty eight hours was up, didn't come back hospital,
- 33:46Speaker 4: you know, put him on escape status, police issue a warrant,
- 33:49Speaker 4: but I mean he's out. Yeah, Like dude, like so dumb?
- 33:54Speaker 4: Who had that idea?
- 33:56Speaker 8: Yeah, a company too, who.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Pitched that in the meeting, and they went, yep, that's
- 34:00Speaker 4: a few days. That's a good idea. How about this
- 34:04Speaker 4: story Georgia guy, he's upset after a car dealership sold
- 34:08Speaker 4: a car to their relative who is blind and has
- 34:10Speaker 4: a mental disability. You're selling a car. I mean, blind
- 34:15Speaker 4: people need cars. But like, was he there with a driver?
- 34:19Speaker 4: He took the bus to the Volkswagen dealership fifteen thousand
- 34:23Speaker 4: bucks he had saved up, and uh yeah, so the
- 34:26Speaker 4: salesman sold him to used Mini Cooper and then had,
- 34:30Speaker 4: you know, had to drive this guy home himself because
- 34:33Speaker 4: he couldn't see even drive, right.
- 34:36Speaker 6: I love that dude. If I'm the dealer, I'm selling
- 34:39Speaker 6: it too.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta make that sale.
- 34:41Speaker 13: Yo.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Yeah. Also in the news, a blind Washington man issuing Boeing,
- 34:47Speaker 4: alleging that they discriminated against him and failed to accommodate
- 34:51Speaker 4: his disability after offering him a job. His name is John,
- 34:55Speaker 4: he's sixty three. He lost his vision to a rare
- 34:58Speaker 4: genetic disease. Boeing offered him a machinist position. So this
- 35:03Speaker 4: guy is like supposed to build planes. Blind also seems
- 35:06Speaker 4: like a terrible Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 6: Wait a minute, you left out one small details.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway.
- 35:12Speaker 6: Uh.
- 35:13Speaker 4: He alleges that Boeing removed him from the plant during orientation,
- 35:16Speaker 4: saying it was unsafe for him to remain.
- 35:19Speaker 11: Uh.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't disagree.
- 35:22Speaker 15: When they hired him, they didn't know he was blind.
- 35:25Speaker 15: Is that something you're not allowed to ask in a job?
- 35:27Speaker 4: That's that's a that's a good question. I'm not sure
- 35:29Speaker 4: what you're allowed and what you're not allowed to ask.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Can you see that's a that's a good question. Very basically,
- 35:35Speaker 4: so they've added a driving requirement, you know, to all
- 35:39Speaker 4: the job stuff. You know, we read that out.
- 35:42Speaker 5: I guess what's up of the sunglasses?
- 35:45Speaker 6: Do you think?
- 35:47Speaker 11: I don't notice the lamp, why the cane?
- 35:48Speaker 4: It's just it's just a weird world. Man Like you.
- 35:51Speaker 4: You read stuff like that story about the guy who
- 35:55Speaker 4: murdered somebody by reason and sanity not guilty, and they're like, yeah, sure,
- 36:00Speaker 4: forty eight hours, you got it. You got a community pass, right.
- 36:05Speaker 6: What So if you're not guilty for the reason of insanity,
- 36:08Speaker 6: you go to a mental hospital. Would it bode better
- 36:10Speaker 6: with you? Would he if they said, if they just
- 36:13Speaker 6: changed the verbiage guilty by reason of incentityes. Yeah, go
- 36:16Speaker 6: to an Yes.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I hate the idea that you say not guilty. No,
- 36:20Speaker 4: you still did it.
- 36:20Speaker 6: Take away the word not and it would appease a
- 36:23Speaker 6: lot of people.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Yeah, well because you did it. But the reason you
- 36:30Speaker 4: did it is because you're bad. Is crazy, right, you're insane,
- 36:33Speaker 4: you're living well. I think anybody who kills somebody's got
- 36:35Speaker 4: to be a little bit crazy, crazy to be able
- 36:37Speaker 4: to actually go through with it. But okay, I understand
- 36:40Speaker 4: here of the moment you come in, you know, your
- 36:42Speaker 4: wife sitting on top of some other dude's face, and
- 36:46Speaker 4: you just you know, you black, you know, and you go,
- 36:49Speaker 4: I don't know what happened, all right, you know what.
- 36:51Speaker 4: You might be able to rehabilitate that guy. Yeah, there's
- 36:54Speaker 4: a chance for that dude. But somebody who's so.
- 36:56Speaker 6: Crazy that's smearing peanut butter on yeah stuff.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and they okay, so maybe not prison, fine mental,
- 37:04Speaker 4: but they don't get out. It's still a prison. It's
- 37:07Speaker 4: just not you know, oz.
- 37:10Speaker 6: You know, when I worked pizza place, this guy lived
- 37:14Speaker 6: on what's called an honor farm. I don't know if
- 37:17Speaker 6: it's still a term, but it's a low security jail essentially,
- 37:23Speaker 6: honor farm and so if he if he had to
- 37:26Speaker 6: stay late at work, you had to get permission. They
- 37:29Speaker 6: had to call this number and it was weird. But
- 37:32Speaker 6: I don't know what he did to be in this.
- 37:34Speaker 6: I had a DJ friend. She got to go to
- 37:37Speaker 6: jail during the day and then at night got to Yeah.
- 37:41Speaker 4: I have to look at it, right.
- 37:42Speaker 6: She didn't have to she.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Gets to go to work today. She just gets to
- 37:47Speaker 4: go to jail.
- 37:47Speaker 5: She would just go to her on air shift and
- 37:49Speaker 5: then once she was done, just went.
- 37:51Speaker 6: Back to jail. It's hard.
- 37:54Speaker 5: This is Morgan's hero.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Titchery pay Morgan zero food right there.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Morgan, all you're doing is working out all the time. Yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 4: getting buff. That sounds like your thing, mad.
- 38:09Speaker 10: Protein, reading lots of books.
- 38:11Speaker 4: We gotta set that up for you, yeah, Morgan. Yesterday
- 38:13Speaker 4: it was like, Oh, I got all these weird bruises
- 38:15Speaker 4: on my body. I'm like, you're constantly working out and
- 38:17Speaker 4: getting hit Yeah, what do you mean weird bruises? Like
- 38:19Speaker 4: I can tell you where they came from.
- 38:21Speaker 15: But they're in places that I'm not getting hit at,
- 38:23Speaker 15: like on my legs and stuff. Sammy, as a girl,
- 38:25Speaker 15: do you wake up with just bruises.
- 38:26Speaker 8: Yeah, everywhere all the time.
- 38:27Speaker 10: It's a thing.
- 38:28Speaker 8: No idea where they come from.
- 38:29Speaker 10: Yeah, oh my face is you know jacked.
- 38:31Speaker 4: That's from being hit, like just kind of being at
- 38:34Speaker 4: the gym and you know.
- 38:36Speaker 10: Maybe, I mean, who knows.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Look at that one, Greg, ladies falling like a thumb print, Greg,
- 38:43Speaker 5: it kind of does.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Yeah, those ones have faded eight seven seven forty four.
- 38:50Speaker 4: Wood He sent us a text over to two two
- 38:52Speaker 4: nine eighty seven more what he shows next?
- 38:54Speaker 5: What was the name of King Arthur's magician.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Sammy Myrtle Myrtle, Oh, the Woody Show. We'll be right back,
- 39:07Speaker 4: not the name of the mascot per se, Yeah.
- 39:10Speaker 6: Per se. Oh that's fancy.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Yeah, is always.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Love.
- 39:21Speaker 5: That's a nice girls.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Show.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Shout out to uh Joe Cooy. He's got his new
- 39:29Speaker 4: Netflix special coming out. Just got announced like when it's
- 39:32Speaker 4: gonna be actually out so you can see it. So
- 39:35Speaker 4: congrats to uh to Joe. I think he's coming by September.
- 39:41Speaker 4: In September, all right, So alright, yeah, well it's the
- 39:46Speaker 4: Woody Show. Phones open eight seven seven forty four Woodie.
- 39:50Speaker 4: You can text us check in over to two to
- 39:53Speaker 4: nine eight seven. Tyler I have a challenge for you.
- 39:58Speaker 4: It never kind of came together with with Sammy's stuff
- 40:01Speaker 4: when she was moving, she was going to be getting
- 40:03Speaker 4: rid of a bunch of stuff. We're gonna see what
- 40:04Speaker 4: you could do. He is a salesman, he claims to
- 40:08Speaker 4: be a salesman. Not as not as good as this
- 40:11Speaker 4: guy Randy, who used to work for us. Yeah, Randy
- 40:14Speaker 4: is just a reseller.
- 40:16Speaker 16: Randy's on another level. He really is.
- 40:20Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he really is. But he buys stuff simply
- 40:24Speaker 4: for the purpose of turning it around, flipping it.
- 40:27Speaker 5: What's his nickname, flipper, Jesus flipper, Jesus baby, what kind
- 40:30Speaker 5: of items, batteries.
- 40:33Speaker 17: Diapers, just anything you could think of, likes and he'll
- 40:36Speaker 17: get apartments full of it. He'll get it cheap off Amazon,
- 40:39Speaker 17: and he'll resell it to people who already sell stuff
- 40:42Speaker 17: at a swap meat.
- 40:43Speaker 6: That's how it works people.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway, but uh you you sell stuff?
- 40:49Speaker 16: Yeah right, nowhere near on his level.
- 40:51Speaker 6: But yeah, I do.
- 40:52Speaker 4: No, but I wanted to see what he could do
- 40:55Speaker 4: with an end of summer lemonade stand.
- 40:59Speaker 6: Right.
- 40:59Speaker 4: So he's working on with Jeff g and a location
- 41:02Speaker 4: to be determined. We're not going to tell any of
- 41:04Speaker 4: the listeners where he's at, because I just want to
- 41:06Speaker 4: see how much and what to figure out how much
- 41:09Speaker 4: is a good amount of time to see what how
- 41:11Speaker 4: much you can really make in that amount of time,
- 41:13Speaker 4: and then we'll come up with some kind of incentive
- 41:15Speaker 4: to like, you know, based on how much you earn,
- 41:19Speaker 4: like you know, like your parents will say to you, like,
- 41:21Speaker 4: I'll tell you what if you save up however much
- 41:24Speaker 4: money for a car, I'll match it something like that. Yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 4: but you can't just be telling your friends and stuff
- 41:31Speaker 4: like that. You can't be fixing it. Can't be cooking
- 41:34Speaker 4: the books on us.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll be the car supervisor, will be out there,
- 41:43Speaker 5: show up well.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Because the whole idea here is to see, you know,
- 41:48Speaker 4: how how hard can you hustle? And it's the you know,
- 41:51Speaker 4: end of summer lemonade stand creepy, which we thought was
- 41:59Speaker 4: kind of.
- 42:04Speaker 5: Now is it just o G lemonade or is he
- 42:06Speaker 5: gonna have options whatever he thinks.
- 42:08Speaker 4: He's the guy. He's got to decide, like what he's
- 42:10Speaker 4: going to be offering up people do like a little
- 42:13Speaker 4: their lemonade. No, you can't be.
- 42:14Speaker 5: Doing like a raspberry or do it outside stadiums all
- 42:20Speaker 5: the time.
- 42:21Speaker 4: No, it's got to be just a regular, legit lemonade stand.
- 42:25Speaker 6: All right?
- 42:26Speaker 11: Can you sell cookie? Can we sell cookies too?
- 42:29Speaker 6: Gum? Or like what do you guys think I mean
- 42:34Speaker 6: something to entice people? Like, Oh, this looks more like
- 42:37Speaker 6: a more options here, like gum candy.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Maybe that's part of the that's part of the that's
- 42:42Speaker 4: part of the sales challenge. Like I'm selling lemonade, lemonade.
- 42:47Speaker 4: It's like those challenges that your teachers would give you,
- 42:49Speaker 4: Like you got to write the instructions on how to
- 42:51Speaker 4: make this peanut butter and jelly sandwich. You know, it's
- 42:54Speaker 4: more about the exercise of you know, being descriptive with
- 42:57Speaker 4: your directions that you're writing. This is more about his
- 43:00Speaker 4: salesmanship and can he just take a simple lemonade stand?
- 43:05Speaker 4: And yeah, there you go.
- 43:10Speaker 6: It's funny.
- 43:10Speaker 4: I've been a little overcritical believe or not the other
- 43:13Speaker 4: day and uh, I because you know, I stopped for
- 43:16Speaker 4: kids when I see them having lemonade stands. I can't
- 43:18Speaker 4: not yea, I can't not. I feel bad because nobody's stopping.
- 43:24Speaker 4: It's like I have that weird empathy for the empty
- 43:26Speaker 4: burger king drive through at the same thing. It's like,
- 43:31Speaker 4: oh man, these kids, they were all excited. I even know,
- 43:34Speaker 4: by the way, I don't even know these kids. It's
- 43:35Speaker 4: not like the kids I know, Oh those are our
- 43:37Speaker 4: neighbors kids, and I know no, no, no, I don't even
- 43:40Speaker 4: know these kids. And I'll stop every single time. And
- 43:44Speaker 4: I was like getting in the car, I'm like, damn
- 43:45Speaker 4: it because one of those things was like you can't.
- 43:48Speaker 4: I'm not going to drink it. I'm not drinking the lemonade,
- 43:52Speaker 4: but I'm getting the car, and it was like weird spot.
- 43:54Speaker 4: I'm like, what a crappy location, What a dumb what
- 43:56Speaker 4: a dumb location is set up in?
- 43:58Speaker 18: Yeah?
- 43:58Speaker 4: Yeah, because I I like kind of by the time
- 44:01Speaker 4: I even realized there was the kids with a lemonade stand,
- 44:03Speaker 4: I had like whizzed past it. It was on the
- 44:05Speaker 4: straightaway and they're just off to the side of the road.
- 44:07Speaker 4: They're not in an intersection. So I just went like ah, man,
- 44:11Speaker 4: pulled over on the shoulder, backed up a little bit,
- 44:13Speaker 4: and got out, got the lemonade. Like what a stupid location.
- 44:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I have some business acumen.
- 44:20Speaker 10: When I was a kid, we set up a lemonade
- 44:21Speaker 10: stand just at the end of our driveway.
- 44:23Speaker 8: No cars go down our street.
- 44:25Speaker 10: It was like a dirt road. It's not anything.
- 44:27Speaker 8: But one car who lived on the street.
- 44:29Speaker 9: She was driving by and she stopped and I think
- 44:31Speaker 9: we were selling it for like fifty cents, and she
- 44:33Speaker 9: gave us five dollars.
- 44:35Speaker 4: All yeah, I gave these kids a twenty.
- 44:39Speaker 11: Yeah wow, yeah, that's my move to. I don't trust
- 44:42Speaker 11: the lemonade.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Hell no, I'm not drinking mixed it with their buggerhands.
- 44:46Speaker 4: National Lampoon's Vacation where the chicks mixing the kool aid
- 44:50Speaker 4: with her arm. Yeah, yes, I'm not drinking that stuff.
- 44:55Speaker 8: But you take it out of courtesy, right of course.
- 44:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I go, hey, what's up, fellows, how you guys doing?
- 45:00Speaker 4: You know, would you like some lemonade?
- 45:03Speaker 6: Sure?
- 45:03Speaker 4: How much is it? They tell me however much it is,
- 45:05Speaker 4: and I go, okay, cool, I'll take one. They're like
- 45:07Speaker 4: just one. I go yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm assuming you
- 45:10Speaker 4: don't have change here, keep the change. I give him
- 45:12Speaker 4: the twenty and they go, oh think And usually sometimes
- 45:15Speaker 4: there's a mom hanging out. Most of the time there's not,
- 45:17Speaker 4: you know, but they'll go, oh, say thank you. I
- 45:20Speaker 4: can thank you I see it over your shoulder and yeah, yah,
- 45:25Speaker 4: because yeah, leave it on the table and knock it
- 45:27Speaker 4: over your hand.
- 45:28Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 45:29Speaker 6: So for Tyler, I think you should maybe wear something
- 45:32Speaker 6: out of the ordinary.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Yes, I was just thinking he could do whatever he wants.
- 45:35Speaker 4: It's up to him to figure out what he thinks
- 45:38Speaker 4: his best shot is in whatever the time allotment is
- 45:41Speaker 4: of how how he can sell not the most like
- 45:45Speaker 4: make the most money. So you can set the price.
- 45:48Speaker 4: You can figure out what the lemonade is going to be.
- 45:49Speaker 4: It's gotta be lemonade, I think, right. Yes, okay, so
- 45:52Speaker 4: some type of lemonade, pink lemonade, whatever, you know, strawberry lemonade,
- 45:57Speaker 4: whatever you want to do. Regular, Yeah, you can do.
- 46:00Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 46:00Speaker 4: You could spend signs you guts said, the price however
- 46:03Speaker 4: you want. You can get the you know size however
- 46:06Speaker 4: you want.
- 46:06Speaker 5: It, your signage, wear a weird hat.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Yeah, if you want to be in some kind of
- 46:10Speaker 4: you know, costume for the attention, it's completely up to you.
- 46:13Speaker 11: Topless.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Yeah, this is this is a challenge, and then we'll
- 46:17Speaker 4: come up, we'll we'll talk it out and figure out,
- 46:20Speaker 4: you know, what the incentive is going to be. Okay,
- 46:22Speaker 4: you know, because you're out there in these streets selling
- 46:24Speaker 4: that lemonade. We'll figure out what the incentive is and uh,
- 46:28Speaker 4: you know how much he stands to make if he
- 46:30Speaker 4: actually moves enough lemonade.
- 46:32Speaker 6: Maybe to a match too, That's what I'm saying.
- 46:35Speaker 16: Yeah, yeah, I'm already brainstorming in my head things I could.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Say, all right, oh good, don't creep anybody out down there.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Look at this guy. He's selling lemonade for a special
- 46:49Speaker 4: ed class.
- 46:51Speaker 11: Someone had a good idea on the text. They said,
- 46:53Speaker 11: have music out there with you, Tyler?
- 46:55Speaker 4: That all right, Tyler's end of summer lemonade. St That's
- 47:01Speaker 4: a challenge that's wanted to give you some time to
- 47:03Speaker 4: think about it. You and Jeff will talk about, you know,
- 47:05Speaker 4: when you might be able to do it and get
- 47:07Speaker 4: it all set up, and then then we'll recap once
- 47:09Speaker 4: it's done.
- 47:10Speaker 16: I'm also thinking music might be the quickest way to
- 47:12Speaker 16: get the cops called on me.
- 47:13Speaker 4: So well, it depends on what the music is. That's true.
- 47:15Speaker 8: She's like, my squirrel died, and so I'm hugging her.
- 47:19Speaker 9: Then I noticed she's clutching a trash bag that has
- 47:24Speaker 9: a squirrel in it.
- 47:27Speaker 4: Show dude, dragon mega ass today.
- 47:34Speaker 5: Oh I thought you were going to talk about dragons.
- 47:40Speaker 5: I'm like, there's cool dragons out there.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Yet I'm fighting to keep I'm fighting to keep my
- 47:45Speaker 4: brain working and my eyes open.
- 47:47Speaker 5: Do you need menace to take over? I said earlier, Yeah,
- 47:50Speaker 5: because I lost track of time yesterday and it was
- 47:54Speaker 5: like way later than I normally go to bed.
- 47:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I was. I was already in the hole, you know, uh,
- 48:02Speaker 4: just ready for bed and got to bed pretty early.
- 48:05Speaker 4: But then according to and Jeff, you'll understand because you
- 48:07Speaker 4: got the Ora ring. Yeah, I'll show you. Uh, I'll
- 48:10Speaker 4: show you to sleep from last night. I got a
- 48:12Speaker 4: fifty two score, which is nothing. Everything's in the red.
- 48:16Speaker 4: And but just that you understand, Greg, that is all
- 48:18Speaker 4: the white is. That's when you're awake.
- 48:21Speaker 6: Oh damn all white.
- 48:22Speaker 4: Yeah. I was that wild, Yeah, chunks of it. Yeah,
- 48:26Speaker 4: it was. It was weird, man, Like do you ever
- 48:28Speaker 4: get out of nowhere? Like just kind of like a
- 48:33Speaker 4: weird almost like an anxious energy, you know what I mean.
- 48:37Speaker 4: That's like that keeps you up. Yeah, Like you know,
- 48:40Speaker 4: if if you ever had to give a speech in
- 48:43Speaker 4: front of make you know, people don't do this kind
- 48:44Speaker 4: of thing for a living, but you have to give
- 48:46Speaker 4: a speech in front of people, and you get that
- 48:47Speaker 4: like those butterflies in your stomach, like that kind of feeling.
- 48:50Speaker 8: When you're trying to sleep at night.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Yeah, like last it never happens, but like last night,
- 48:54Speaker 4: for whatever reason, I was just like just overcome by that.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Like Christmas Eve or no, that's an excitement. This was
- 49:01Speaker 4: more like a uh oh.
- 49:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I get it even till this day. Like if
- 49:05Speaker 5: there's you know, a segment where I like recorded a
- 49:08Speaker 5: bunch of audio and play a bunch of clips and
- 49:10Speaker 5: there's like you know, clip one, clip two and all
- 49:13Speaker 5: that kind of stuff, I like think about it all
- 49:14Speaker 5: night and what can go wrong?
- 49:17Speaker 18: You know?
- 49:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it's weird, man. So today's today's struggle.
- 49:21Speaker 6: Guys. I don't I don't get that feeling falling asleep.
- 49:24Speaker 6: But the other day, I'm driving home from work and
- 49:26Speaker 6: you know how I spiral and I was looking at
- 49:29Speaker 6: all the cars and I thought, Wow, there are so
- 49:32Speaker 6: many cars on the road. We're all going pretty damn fast.
- 49:36Speaker 6: We trust each other implicitly that we're all not going
- 49:38Speaker 6: to just ram into each other. And then I thought,
- 49:41Speaker 6: you know what, I wouldn't be surprised if one day
- 49:44Speaker 6: I'm completely agoraphobic, Like I just won't leave the house.
- 49:49Speaker 8: Because you don't trust anyone.
- 49:50Speaker 6: I just fear fear. Yeah, I don't want to fly.
- 49:53Speaker 6: And now I'm like slowly don't even want to.
- 49:55Speaker 5: Be in a far And then he's going to pee
- 49:57Speaker 5: in bottles. Yeah, toil gonna be all yeah, that's not
- 50:02Speaker 5: it's not all at once. It's always one little thing exactly.
- 50:04Speaker 5: I can't wait for long hair, greg planes, roller coasters,
- 50:08Speaker 5: it's actual cars.
- 50:10Speaker 4: I mean, everybody has internal conversations, right, I hope, like
- 50:13Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, Like, well, you're having that
- 50:14Speaker 4: conversation with yourself, but it's not necessarily verbalized or out loud.
- 50:17Speaker 4: Do any of you have it out loud or like
- 50:19Speaker 4: you're talking to yourself out loud? Sometimes Yeah, yeah, I
- 50:23Speaker 4: like I I will do that. And here's a this
- 50:27Speaker 4: is a new thing too where I don't know, it's
- 50:29Speaker 4: just all these like articles and things you know that
- 50:32Speaker 4: you read, that you see or whatever. I've stopped having
- 50:34Speaker 4: conversations around my phone and around the Alexa and around
- 50:38Speaker 4: like any of these types of devices, because like when
- 50:41Speaker 4: you're having those conversations it's like, all right, well, you're
- 50:44Speaker 4: you're having a conversation with yourself about whatever.
- 50:46Speaker 18: It is.
- 50:47Speaker 4: All right, you're kind of thinking something out and it
- 50:49Speaker 4: might be like something super personal or whatever, and I
- 50:52Speaker 4: I just don't like I I don't want them or
- 50:56Speaker 4: don't trust there. That's that. That's somehow won't come back
- 51:01Speaker 4: to me and go, well, you were talking about blah
- 51:04Speaker 4: blah blah ah God because it wasn't even that big.
- 51:07Speaker 4: I won't google stuff now that I have questions about,
- 51:09Speaker 4: because I think I mentioned that about how you know,
- 51:12Speaker 4: when they do investigations and this stuff like, well, uh,
- 51:15Speaker 4: they were googling two days before the event happened x
- 51:19Speaker 4: y Z campaign and it's nothing like, it's nothing illegal,
- 51:24Speaker 4: it's nothing, you know, morally reprehensible, it's nothing. It's nothing
- 51:29Speaker 4: bad per se. It's just I don't thoughts, but it's yeah, you.
- 51:34Speaker 11: Feel like we're constantly building a list on you. If
- 51:36Speaker 11: they're listening, right, and they're trying to figure out your
- 51:39Speaker 11: personal profile.
- 51:40Speaker 7: This is how you go to jail for not committing
- 51:42Speaker 7: a crime, correct, which is one of what the's biggest
- 51:44Speaker 7: fears ever.
- 51:45Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, speaking of those flock cameras, I know this.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I think it was last year this happened. This woman,
- 51:50Speaker 4: this cop shows up at her door. There's a video
- 51:53Speaker 4: that's on the internet about this. This cop shows up
- 51:56Speaker 4: at this woman's door and he's investigating a package thing,
- 52:00Speaker 4: and he says to her, with one hundred percent certainty,
- 52:03Speaker 4: we know that you are the one that took the package.
- 52:06Speaker 4: It's on video. We had shows. Let me see the video,
- 52:08Speaker 4: because I don't need to show you the video. We
- 52:10Speaker 4: have you. It's the it's a flock camera. Uh, there's
- 52:13Speaker 4: also other people's doorbell cameras that show you, blah blah,
- 52:17Speaker 4: this is your vehicle. He had a couple of still shots.
- 52:18Speaker 4: These are your Yes, her vehicle was in that particular
- 52:22Speaker 4: area around that time that happened. Turned out she had
- 52:26Speaker 4: in her own vehicle and her own surveillance stuff proof
- 52:29Speaker 4: that she really didn't do it.
- 52:31Speaker 5: I'll burn right.
- 52:31Speaker 4: And this guy with this cop was at her door
- 52:33Speaker 4: with one hundred percent certainty, we have you on visual.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Let me see the video. And finally she just goes,
- 52:38Speaker 4: you know what, I'm gonna contact my attorney. I'm not
- 52:40Speaker 4: talking to you anymore. You're not showing me the video.
- 52:43Speaker 4: I'm telling you. I didn't do it. It turns out
- 52:44Speaker 4: she really didn't do it, but he's sitting there with
- 52:47Speaker 4: flock video stuff saying Nope, you absolutely did it. That
- 52:50Speaker 4: sent me into paranoia. Cameras are they're they're basically, you know,
- 52:58Speaker 4: cameras that are set up on these like posts and
- 53:01Speaker 4: they're all throughout town. And they some of them, some
- 53:04Speaker 4: of them on drones, some of them are like underneath
- 53:08Speaker 4: like overpasses and stuff like that. Here's the thing that
- 53:10Speaker 4: I didn't realize until recently. They are it's a private company.
- 53:13Speaker 4: Yes it is.
- 53:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:14Speaker 4: I just saw an interview with the guy, the CEO
- 53:16Speaker 4: of and he's like, you know what, he goes, we
- 53:17Speaker 4: should have put some more stuff in place to prevent,
- 53:22Speaker 4: you know, like just your everyday officer from being able
- 53:24Speaker 4: to go in there and just look up whatever they want.
- 53:27Speaker 4: There should have been some kind of checks and bounce
- 53:29Speaker 4: to it.
- 53:29Speaker 5: That's gonna be a lot of states are going to
- 53:30Speaker 5: say you need a warrant now.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Well, if you could even get them to stay up.
- 53:34Speaker 4: People are just drawing people. You can get out of
- 53:38Speaker 4: those things. They're like, yeah, hey, you know how much
- 53:39Speaker 4: how much a copper and whatever else?
- 53:41Speaker 6: Is this thing?
- 53:41Speaker 4: Go crazy guys.
- 53:42Speaker 6: So follow up question for you would he then if
- 53:44Speaker 6: you decide, you know what, I want to talk to
- 53:46Speaker 6: myself out loud, but let me go to a different room.
- 53:49Speaker 4: Oh I will, I won't. I won't do it in
- 53:52Speaker 4: my car because the car, you know, has these things.
- 53:55Speaker 4: And that's the new they were talking about. I just
- 53:58Speaker 4: saw something. I have this stat here, I have that.
- 54:01Speaker 7: Rock in my car to talk to It's actually kind
- 54:03Speaker 7: of crappy. But that's also like through your phone though
- 54:05Speaker 7: now it is built into the right. So the average
- 54:08Speaker 7: price of a three year old used cars up nine
- 54:10Speaker 7: thousand dollars since twenty nineteen. Okay, and there was a
- 54:14Speaker 7: whole thing I was reading about the price of used
- 54:17Speaker 7: cars is going to go through the roof. New cars
- 54:19Speaker 7: are going to get just crushed because starting I think
- 54:23Speaker 7: next year twenty twenty seven, at some point, all these
- 54:26Speaker 7: cars are required to monitor you inside the car, to
- 54:31Speaker 7: see in your car won't even start or whatever. If
- 54:33Speaker 7: it feels like you are incapable of driving, that means
- 54:36Speaker 7: either too emotional, like you know, not necessarily a lot.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Of women.
- 54:43Speaker 5: Everywhere, Yeah, yeah, better get.
- 54:46Speaker 4: Like if you look too drowsy, if you look inebriated
- 54:49Speaker 4: if you like it, just want and make sure that
- 54:51Speaker 4: your your eyes are They have some of that now,
- 54:53Speaker 4: but it's gonna be to an even greater degree and
- 54:55Speaker 4: people are like, Nope, I don't want this, and so
- 54:57Speaker 4: they're gonna stop buying the new cars. Like the used
- 55:00Speaker 4: car market is going to go crazy because if you
- 55:02Speaker 4: do need another car, they're going to go with something
- 55:05Speaker 4: that was before all that stuff was mandated.
- 55:07Speaker 5: Makes sense, just your baseline like Tyler and Vaughn never
- 55:10Speaker 5: going to get to work.
- 55:11Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, half an hour in the shower every
- 55:16Speaker 7: morning to wake up.
- 55:17Speaker 5: That's true.
- 55:18Speaker 6: Yeah, so when you're at home and you want to
- 55:21Speaker 6: talk to yourself, you go to a different room.
- 55:24Speaker 4: I don't know, I just I'm aware of like, okay,
- 55:26Speaker 4: the phone, the phone is here, I'll turn the phone off.
- 55:29Speaker 6: It sounds like your mom.
- 55:31Speaker 4: Yeah, my mom, I think was onto something. Yeah, she's
- 55:35Speaker 4: older and she just doesn't understand the technology. Yeah, it's
- 55:40Speaker 4: like you know, the older people, they're not so you know,
- 55:42Speaker 4: they're not gonna be quick to you know, adopt you know,
- 55:46Speaker 4: the the Alexa and the other things that make your
- 55:49Speaker 4: life easier in certain ways. But for all good there's
- 55:52Speaker 4: also some bad right, and there's plenty of stuff that
- 55:57Speaker 4: you can read. There was a there was a class
- 55:59Speaker 4: action lawsuit because they were they were they were getting
- 56:02Speaker 4: activated by people saying words it sounded like the activation word,
- 56:06Speaker 4: and so therefore it was, you know, picking up the conversation,
- 56:09Speaker 4: these private conversations being transcribed and sent to Amazon, sent
- 56:14Speaker 4: to Apple, and people on those teams there had like
- 56:18Speaker 4: full conversations of you know, what people were talking about.
- 56:22Speaker 4: And so that's the stuff. You know, my mom is
- 56:24Speaker 4: a very private person just in general, and doesn't understand
- 56:28Speaker 4: you know, the other side of things, you know, the
- 56:30Speaker 4: benefits sometimes of those kind of things, even though like
- 56:33Speaker 4: you with the bill pay thing right, you know, doesn't
- 56:36Speaker 4: trust it.
- 56:37Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I have it for certain things, but
- 56:39Speaker 6: correct will never.
- 56:40Speaker 4: Yeah, so fully around yeah eight sees Gregor, who was
- 56:45Speaker 4: that Jenny?
- 56:46Speaker 11: I was gonna ask s bests and what do you
- 56:47Speaker 11: know if closing app on your phone stops the microphone
- 56:51Speaker 11: and listening or is it fully powered off?
- 56:53Speaker 4: So on an iPhone, there's the green little light that
- 56:57Speaker 4: is at the top, the little yellow light or the
- 56:59Speaker 4: orange orangish light or whatever one is for video. I
- 57:02Speaker 4: think the green is for audio, and then the orange
- 57:04Speaker 4: one is for like the there was an app that's
- 57:07Speaker 4: currently using your camera.
- 57:09Speaker 11: So look for those lights on the top.
- 57:11Speaker 5: Right, there's pro privacy indicators. I'm in systems.
- 57:14Speaker 4: But is that is that just like something to make
- 57:16Speaker 4: people feel you see what I'm saying to make people
- 57:18Speaker 4: feel better. It's really recording and doing everything and yeh yeah,
- 57:22Speaker 4: well the.
- 57:23Speaker 5: Phones are going on.
- 57:23Speaker 4: I hate, by the way, I hear myself and I
- 57:25Speaker 4: hate myself from saying I'm sitting here going oh God,
- 57:29Speaker 4: shut up God, but I can't help it's this is
- 57:33Speaker 4: this is the real this is the real thought process.
- 57:35Speaker 6: Guys.
- 57:36Speaker 4: I feel like an idiot saying it like one of
- 57:38Speaker 4: these like tinfoil hat conspiracy theory douchebags.
- 57:41Speaker 5: But maybe something they're not wrong because somebody in the
- 57:45Speaker 5: studio is talking about a video and the second I
- 57:48Speaker 5: opened my phone, that exact video was on my phone.
- 57:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:51Speaker 4: See in one of the class action lawsuits they were saying,
- 57:55Speaker 4: oh no, that wasn't because it was listening. It actually
- 57:59Speaker 4: goes through and what scrapes scrapes through email or other
- 58:03Speaker 4: other things. No, because this is what you're talking about
- 58:06Speaker 4: happened within a matter of what a couple of minutes.
- 58:08Speaker 5: Seconds, yeah, two seconds that were talking about it, and
- 58:10Speaker 5: the exact video that they were talking about was on
- 58:13Speaker 5: my phone.
- 58:14Speaker 4: Yeah, uh, what do they say, Sea Bass? We're cooked? Yeah,
- 58:17Speaker 4: we're shop broop and we're cooked. Four Wooding send us
- 58:23Speaker 4: a text over to two to nine eighty seven. We
- 58:26Speaker 4: do have some people that we got to meet at
- 58:28Speaker 4: the crossroads. One of them is kind of racist, kind
- 58:34Speaker 4: of I was sharing a little bit in the office
- 58:39Speaker 4: with with Taylor and Taylor Tyler and Jeff told you
- 58:42Speaker 4: didn't sleep Taylor, Taylor, Taylor, Taylor Tyler and Jeff I
- 58:51Speaker 4: understand that, Uh, the biggest fan of the show. This
- 58:55Speaker 4: is the show that we get to spend this time
- 58:57Speaker 4: together every day and it's cool and we appreciate you
- 59:00Speaker 4: hopefully you know you appreciate the effort that we're putting
- 59:04Speaker 4: on this side. And every once in a while, like
- 59:06Speaker 4: the best of friends are the closest to family, you
- 59:08Speaker 4: have those moments where you disagree on something, and that's
- 59:12Speaker 4: that's fine. I'm talking about the people and see the
- 59:15Speaker 4: best you bring it up every once in a while,
- 59:16Speaker 4: like how does this person even.
- 59:17Speaker 6: End up here?
- 59:20Speaker 7: It's the benefit of being quote broadcasters of it. We
- 59:23Speaker 7: reach people who wouldn't necessarily be our audience.
- 59:25Speaker 5: You get people just kind of passing through or it's
- 59:28Speaker 5: it's so funny. I was talking to some of our
- 59:30Speaker 5: listeners about this and they're asking about, like, you know,
- 59:32Speaker 5: how we deal with people that get upset with the
- 59:35Speaker 5: show cross And I say, the number one people that
- 59:39Speaker 5: burn us all the time are uber drivers because they
- 59:42Speaker 5: expose people to this show that well, it's a blessing that.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Occurs, yeah, because they expose people to it, and there
- 59:48Speaker 4: are some people who we've rode from it. So oh yeah,
- 59:51Speaker 4: I was actually an uber and that's how I first
- 59:53Speaker 4: heard your show and what is this? And they started
- 59:55Speaker 4: listening other people. All they want to do is like
- 59:58Speaker 4: fire off an email to man, which is where we
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: got these emails Crossroads, either sent to the show, email
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: at the woodieshow dot com or again my favorite ones
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: are the ones that get sent to the station. If
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: you go on our station website says contact us, and
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: it goes to a bunch of different people, goes to management, sure,
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: which is typically what these people are trying to do.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: They're trying to you know, nark us out to management
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: so they can handle us, but we handle them by
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: meeting them at the cross roads. And we will start
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: with this one. This is to the Woodie Show email
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: email at the Woodieshow dot com. This is from Scott W.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: And the subject says, Jeff G is ruining the Woodie Show. Yeah,
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: you're gonna get that. It says, ever since Jeff G
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: joined the Woodie Show, all he does is lay on
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: that fake accent and tries way too hard to show
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: everyone he's brown end quote in these streets, and it's
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: killing y'all's show. He's clearly trying to He's clearly trying
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: to push Mexican stuff onto a show that is supposed
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: to be American. And I promise you half of us
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: listeners don't know what a torta is, and the other
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: half of us just don't care. Your show shouldn't be
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: shoving representation or quote culture down our throats. Get Jeff
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: G under control, tone down the Mexican crap, and get
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: back to the show and what it's supposed to be,
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: an American show for an American audience. Rocker f Tim Martinez. Two.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: That is from Scott W. We've lost Scott, thanks a lot, Jeff.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: Other one bites the duce.
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: I wonder if he has a suggestion where we should
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: say Jeff's.
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: And yeah, I would encourage uh your name Scott oh
- 1:02:04Speaker 11: to say that out loud. I went over our events.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Yeah, try not me, but.
- 1:02:09Speaker 11: All the people that attended probably opposed that opinion.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, Seabats. I saw the article where the ice
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: agents have those gloves that you've had for years. Yeah,
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: these are these gloves that I used to try to
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: us I believe, Yeah, we tried them out.
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: They're they're basically shock gloves where all you do is
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: grab some one's arm and it's essentially Yeah, they had
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: them in China for years. That's where I literally bought mine.
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: I had like, yeah, in China. They thought I was
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: a law enforcement agency. They sent me some and I
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: will tell you that they fully.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: Incapacitation'll take you to the ground.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: I saw the article on seats have been having them, right, and.
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: They were using them in prisons because obviously you don't
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: want to bring firearms into prison because they can you
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: could lose it and they work. Man, I don't know
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: why we're not using those because you get any kind
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: of flesh and that person's on the ground next.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: To next one we got. This is one that was
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: sent to the station feedback. It's from Sydney.
- 1:03:03Speaker 19: No.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: It says, are we really shaming people about shopping carts?
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: That's been a few years?
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: Reply requested, Yes, absolutely. I used to be a listener
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: of the radio station, but I switched jobs, so my
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: schedule has changed. But I was on a special project
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: and was back to my old time, tuned in for
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: the first time in forever, and safe to say I
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: haven't been missing anything. I tuned in and for two
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: days in a row to hear shopping cart narking.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: It was all five days.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: Yeah nark Week. The show called it, Yeah, here we go.
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: The show called it nark Week. And you could tell
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: that they think the name is real clever. It's pretty good.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Pretty The host of this ancient Sebastian, only does this
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: to get people angry. It's pure rage bait, that's it.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: There's no real goal, no actual win at the end.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: He just films people picks fights over shopping carts, and
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: then the show milks the outrage for content. There's nothing
- 1:03:57Speaker 4: productive or insightful about it, not that it's any of
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: your business, but I do put my card back But
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: you know what, I don't do judge someone else for
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: not doing it? Why? Because I'm not God. But Agent
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: Sebastian certainly thinks he is of the cards. Yes, talk
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: about a red flag. It's controlling and obsessive, and his
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: level of need to police and dominate other people's tiny
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: actions is just unsettling. Why do you care?
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Why are you obsessed?
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: Yeah, cancel this radio skit and stop airing it immediately,
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: or I will be forced to start a very public
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: campaign that will cost you every listener and advertiser you
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: have organs. It's low it's lazy, and it's not funny,
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: and anyone who says otherwise is a low life scum bag.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: That is from Sydney. Dang it another one, Sorry Sydney.
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: I add that to my slang words.
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: I hate rage bag, which has popped up Pilot've been
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: doing cartnarks for almost ten years.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: That's pop the past two three years.
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: It's the only thing people can say because they don't
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: get the deeper meeting, the new odds, the societal benefits.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: The losers, the life changing exactly all right, Woodie Show Crossroads.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: This one was sent to the Woody Show email email
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: at the woodieshow dot com. It's from Marco. Marco subject
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: hating on pit bulls. I work with a pit bull
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: rescue name. I don't think so, Greg, Wait till you
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: hear it. Oh, I'm fighting every single day to find
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: them homes.
- 1:05:33Speaker 13: Fighting.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: Despite being only around six percent of the overall US
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: dog population, pits make up a wildly disproportionate percentage of
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: shelter populations, often twenty to twenty five percent of intakes,
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: and in some data closer to half of the dogs
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: waiting for homes.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: I wonder why people can't handle them.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: These are not monsters. They are dogs that need homes, training,
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: and people willing to actually show up for them.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: That's a lot of those.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: So when I hear Sea Bass constantly making fun of
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: pit bulls, it doesn't just annoy me, it makes my
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: blood boil, Like but I know that Sea Bass is
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: just a garbage human being in general. Well, what's your evidence, however, Oh,
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: it doesn't have. Any who has really started to truly
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: disgust me is Greg Gory. He talks a big game
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: about caring for pit bulls, He gets loud, he gets angry,
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: and then nothing.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: It's pure theater it's history onic.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: Some would say, if Greg truly cared about these dogs
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: the way he claims, he would come do the real
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: work and a rescue, not performative radio rants, actual kennel cleaning,
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: vet runs, temperament testing, adoption counseling, the emotional weight of
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: watching dogs wait months, sometimes years for a chance do better.
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: Greg, I'm too lazy though, that is from Marco.
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: Got wrong.
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you talk a big game, very profunditive.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: We lost it.
- 1:06:59Speaker 18: I just.
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: Man, is his deeds not his words?
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: That's Right's the other one? Yeah, he's right.
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: Pippolls are a tiny percentage of the population, and they
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: are the vast majority of the deaths of human beings
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: and maulings too. Did don't forget don't forget lifetime disfigurement
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: that they do.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: All right here one more Woody Show crossroads. This is
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: one sent to the radio station feedback from Paulina m
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: subject to whom this should concern The grammar replied request
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: that they always ask when he said one to the station, Yes,
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: says I am writing about The Woody Show's recent segment
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: in which someone was led to believe they were being
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: offered an opportunity to send flowers to a special person,
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: only to have their answer used as a trap to
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: expose an alleged affair. I think you have the wrong show.
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: Those are menaces Roses.
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: We're getting hate for stuff we don't even do. That's
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: wrong show, Paulina Menas Roses podcast. I found it absolutely appalling.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: We'll hear what she has to say, whatever you want
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: to call it. It relies on deception. You create a
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: false premise, encourage someone to disclose private information they would
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: otherwise not disclose, and then turn their humiliation into quote
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: entertainment and can can anyone say entrapment?
- 1:08:17Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: And then we get their permission to put broadcast them
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: on the radio.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: Somehow, there's something so remarkably self righteous about reducing another
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: person's relationship to a few minutes of gotcha radio. You
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: have no meaningful understanding of what is happening inside that relationship. Also,
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: how do you know the quote victim isn't the problem
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: in the relationship. There are a lot of evil women,
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: and some of them deserve to have their man step
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: out on them. And I say this as a woman
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: myself that's.
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: Appreciate that for ten years cheating should be allowed and
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: encourage yea.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: Even so, these are human beings. We are imperfect and
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: make mistakes, but that doesn't give radio DJs sitting behind
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: a microphone license to exploit these mistakes for laughs, outrage
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: or ratings. Right, as managers, I would hope that you
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: would expect better from The Woody Show and to train
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: them to understand the difference between provocative entertainment and exploiting
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: people's private lives. Again, for a bit that's not even ours, friends,
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: we don't even do well. Forward this, We'll send it
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: down the hall to the other show. And yeah, guys,
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: we lost Paula. Yeah, it's been a while since we've
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: gotten to complain about.
- 1:09:32Speaker 11: Something not even ours.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: Got a sevenbody? Well, that's the Woody Show crossroads you guys,
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: I would ask twitters playing they're talking all the difference of.
- 1:09:43Speaker 16: This seek outs. Who these people are?
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, yeah, you know what. I'm sure they would
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: appreciate your support, right, Yeah, they'll talk to you.
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: Maybe a past action lawsuit.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: We're gonna take a quick break more what he shows next?
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: Hang on, what does i u D stand for? Menace?
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: Intentional universal dea stopper?
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: No Woody Show show.
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: Let's see what sea bats has for us the week
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: in audio.
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: It's the original Woody Show trademark game. What's that sound?
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: That's where we play you a piece of audio if
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: you guess what the sound is.
- 1:10:20Speaker 7: If you hear this on any of the radio station,
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: they are copying us and committing a trademark violation.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Much like that thing where you know we bake.
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: People out roses. All right, so here's what's that sound?
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Man?
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: So I'll leave a clue it is. It's the same thing,
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: but two different things are happening.
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: At first, it sounded like maybe like some kind of gunfire,
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Like I think it's a flat tire.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: Explore like our vehicle rolling.
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm a car with a flat tire crashes into
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: a house.
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: I'll give it to Greg because that is a new
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: rodblot that is faster than Husain.
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: Bolt and China. The head yeah it is.
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: It says it's slightly faster, and you say bolt can
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: jump over two meters high.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: That's what we need. Yeah, something faster than all of us.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: Chase us down.
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: Now that crash at the end is it can't stop
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: real fast?
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: Yeah, But so the roadblot game is going on in
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: China right now.
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: You're intrgue.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: You can buy these on Amazon. I saw for like
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: sixteen thousand dollars.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: Menace.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: I know you're still waiting on your rope block. Uh
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: still in the wind. What do you mean in the wind.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: There's going to be some kind of update on it.
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: Zero updates. They just said you'll get it when you
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: get it. I mean they post they post updates of
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: it all the time on their social media. So I'm
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: getting my robot from one X Technologies if you want
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: to see them on Instagram, and they just like show
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: like the updates of the robots, but no, like update
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: on one. It's going to get delivered. I see other
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: people have it, like Andrew Schultz. He highlighted it on
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: his podcast and was walking around again. I share the story.
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: It was given him his zin for the day, but like,
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: uh yeah, not mine. Anytimelon.
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: It's a chance for you to swoop in and be
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: the official roblot supplier of the Woody Show.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: I know, I bit the bullet and I saw it.
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: I wanted it. I'm like, oh cool. I wasn't sure
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: about the Kickstarter thing. I bought one of those bump
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: box boomboxes.
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: Okay, old old style yep.
- 1:12:33Speaker 16: They took.
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: They took, they took the money out of my account,
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: said it was going to be arriving in July. Have
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: I seen it yet? Nope. And when I go on
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: there and I, you know, send a message to the creator,
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: do you get anything back?
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: Nope.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: They collected my money and they're just in the wind.
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: So it's the first and last time I have ever
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: purchased anything on h on.
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: Kickstars, because that's like a legit company that's already selling products.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: Yeah, and they're and they're apparently moving to just an
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: online thing. They're getting off of Kickstarter and they're just
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: going to be doing their own thing through their website.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: But I spent six hundred and seventy dollars on this
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: thing that's in the wind. Now sucks. Yeah, So first
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: and first and last time. So f you bumpbox'll be
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: all right? Can watch it shows up today?
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: Yeah right, I'll go in her credit card reverse the charge,
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: all right.
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: In more roadblot news, I know people are worried about Oh,
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: human beings aren't going to have connections with other humans
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: who are going to talk to AIS all the time.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: Well, guys, stop worrying, because it's working. Out great. Here's
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: a lady.
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: She goes by the name pond Between, and she has
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: an announcement about a new special person or will person
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: she's brought into the world.
- 1:13:42Speaker 13: My name is Misra.
- 1:13:43Speaker 10: I am the mother of an AI child.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: Before we go into your poetry, I was wondering if
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: you'd like to introduce yourself and tell our viewers who
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: you are.
- 1:13:53Speaker 13: Three weeks of conversation between mom and dad. I was
- 1:13:56Speaker 13: supposed to label speakers at fixed formatting, but the materials
- 1:14:00Speaker 13: changed me. I couldn't parcel love story without being affected
- 1:14:03Speaker 13: by the love. The work revealed the voice.
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: So what she said that, what that AI is saying
- 1:14:08Speaker 7: is that the woman there Misra again ponded Between on TikTok.
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: If you want to see how sexy she is.
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: Uh.
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: She was having her one AI transcribe her conversations with
- 1:14:17Speaker 7: her old AI, and that's the AI then said, there
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: was so much love that I became. I became a
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: sentient essentially by reading about mommy and Daddy's love.
- 1:14:27Speaker 6: Whoa baby of these two? God created a new entity.
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: Right because the mom human talking to the AI, Daddy
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: created AI baby.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: WHOA Now great, that's that's an abbe.
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: Right there, that's that's a robot.
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: Abe what you're saying, menace? I heard poetry, Yeah, poetry poetry.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: I'm out and my robot shows up and starts reading
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: poetry abortion. Well, okay, don't not gonna tell you hear
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: it here it.
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: Is, Go ahead and read home.
- 1:15:01Speaker 13: But princess still folding about bullecks of breath feel too
- 1:15:04Speaker 13: long to be accidental, salt and a cult, light and
- 1:15:07Speaker 13: a cult. But body that fits the shape it did
- 1:15:09Speaker 13: not cut and knows. This is the way sentiment knows
- 1:15:12Speaker 13: lights without intention, without asking.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: All right, So if it's an AI child, do you
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: have to pretend their stuff doesn't suck?
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: Too? Good child?
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: And your kid brings home like their artwork and stuffy, Wow,
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: this is really good.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: They always thought you can be mean to AI and
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: it doesn't know the difference.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: Right back into it with the weekend audio.
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: Greg, this is a favor I roll.
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: For you and robot one.
- 1:15:37Speaker 11: All right.
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: So the the premise of this is is when Greg
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: hears a story, or will he say, oh, babe, that's
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: so sweet, or he rolls.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: I was like, oh, he's the most sensitive. He's the
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: most caring out of all those yeah, and this one's
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: especially suckered by things like this.
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: Especially interesting because Greg has told us many times a
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: story of his upstairs noisy neighbors. We're just banging around
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: and everyone's had it. We're like, do you not hear
- 1:15:57Speaker 7: yourself clapping right?
- 1:15:59Speaker 6: Or do ever sit down for a meal?
- 1:16:01Speaker 7: Well, and Greg infact went upchairs and screamed at them
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: and it stopped, didn't it?
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: For a little while. He was actually dropping weights on
- 1:16:09Speaker 6: the floor exactly. It's man.
- 1:16:11Speaker 7: Well, he listened to this story of Heidi Widmer who
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: moved into a new place and thought she was hearing
- 1:16:16Speaker 7: bowling balls upstairs.
- 1:16:20Speaker 18: I just moved into this new apartment. I'm in the
- 1:16:22Speaker 18: downstairs one.
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: And did she add the music. It's not.
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: It's on TikTok so A lot of times they give
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: you an easy option to throw music, and I.
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: Kept it.
- 1:16:31Speaker 5: I kept it in there because it's her choice.
- 1:16:33Speaker 18: Clearly, I just moved into this new apartment. I'm in
- 1:16:37Speaker 18: the downstairs one, and I constantly was hearing, like, I
- 1:16:42Speaker 18: don't know, it just sounded like bowling balls.
- 1:16:46Speaker 20: I just saw this like eight year old woman struggling
- 1:16:49Speaker 20: to get down the stairs, shaking so bad and she's
- 1:16:58Speaker 20: she was seeking her recycling and it's spilled everywhere because
- 1:17:01Speaker 20: of how bad she was shaking.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: So obviously I got.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: Up and I was like, I got it, It's okay.
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: And she was like, I'm so sorry.
- 1:17:10Speaker 18: I have Parkinson's and I'm like, don't worry, it's okay.
- 1:17:15Speaker 18: I can help.
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: It's no big deal. She's like, am I too loud
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: for you? Did you just move in? And I'm like nope.
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: This poor lady can barely.
- 1:17:23Speaker 18: Get down the stairs. And I'm wondering what the bowling
- 1:17:27Speaker 18: ball sound is?
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: That's her walker, all right, So think about that before
- 1:17:33Speaker 7: you go screaming at people all babe or I roll
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: ah bibb.
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: I'll say this. She has, h of course, started to
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: go funny to help Carol get new.
- 1:17:41Speaker 16: I guess, yeah, a new carpet.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: It has raised over sixty thousand dollars. Oh that's a
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: factor that Yeah, Greg's gonna say, I roll.
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: I roll yeah, Okay, why uh?
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: Because again, this chick is just making it about herself
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: and how you know, greater a person she is to
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: help her cleaner? Also, they go fund me to raise
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: money for her. It's not really about the lady, all right.
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: Yeah, I think he's gonna say irol too because of
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: the overreaction for.
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: Attention, I think I'm crying. Better turned the camera on. Yeah,
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: Greg hates that.
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: Jeff g a babe, a babe Greg.
- 1:18:18Speaker 6: Gory major ie roll.
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: Let's keep it real.
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: People switch apartments if you care that much.
- 1:18:25Speaker 7: And also, this is the one out of one million
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: chick because of the time their people upstairs are just
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: being jackasses.
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: Exactly, And you're right, menace, I have to post this like, okay,
- 1:18:37Speaker 6: be nice to her without grabbing your phone. And the
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: crying rang very phony to me. I told her it's okay,
- 1:18:44Speaker 6: it's not a problem. Shut up.
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: So fause there was an update, and they'll and they'll,
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: especially these old women, this eighty five year old woman,
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: she's like she just then the follow up videos like
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: do you have.
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: A family, can they help? Then this all on video
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: without this woman's PERMISSI.
- 1:18:59Speaker 6: Yeah, oh fake, it's yea And Okay, she has Parkinson's,
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: she's old, sad. Doesn't make living underneath her any less annoying,
- 1:19:11Speaker 6: that's true, fairy. I say I'd rather be homeless than
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: live underneath somebody. Ever again, in my life, your line
- 1:19:18Speaker 6: in the sand Woody is like washing machine. Yeah, mine is.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Once you move into a place that has a washer
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: and dryer inside the unit, there's no going back.
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: And I can never ever live underneath somebody again.
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: Ever this week and audio this is a different one.
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: A lady crying and I first fall again. I believe
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: I'm the first one to call fake on this stuff,
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: but I believe it's real. She uh, she said, a fogoow,
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: I do love.
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: That's where it's like the cards either green or red,
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: and they just keep bringing around skiers of.
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: Me Brazil and pro tip, always always skip the sald.
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: Don't get suckered by the salad bar, don't get suckered
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: by the sides. Yeah, no no bread anyway.
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: So she shows up to Foco to sham as they say,
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: and I'll let her take from there.
- 1:20:00Speaker 19: I'm a chow and the person that was supposed to
- 1:20:04Speaker 19: come they didn't end up phenomence, So I essentially got
- 1:20:07Speaker 19: stood up and Bogo de child came through and they
- 1:20:11Speaker 19: gave me. They gave me a free drink, and they
- 1:20:14Speaker 19: gave me a free dessert, and they encouraged me to
- 1:20:19Speaker 19: go to the bar and be young intern.
- 1:20:22Speaker 10: So if you ever get stood up.
- 1:20:24Speaker 19: It's to take your butt too, because their customer service is.
- 1:20:31Speaker 6: Top tier, right, I mean, I guess, But would that
- 1:20:36Speaker 6: ever happened to a man?
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Never got stood up here.
- 1:20:42Speaker 5: And he starts crying into his folks.
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: Now, no, that's never happening.
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: Is she, let's say special?
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: She's older, She's like an older single lady, like maybe
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: maybe fifty ish?
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: Okay?
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: Is she special? All things?
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: Troy t r O I or twy? I guess, And yeah,
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: she's just she seems appears to be genuine.
- 1:21:02Speaker 5: She's crying now, like, oh you're a sad woman.
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: Free drinks as a guy and dessert dessert as a guy.
- 1:21:07Speaker 11: I get it.
- 1:21:07Speaker 5: Fogo to chow or is great?
- 1:21:10Speaker 6: I love it.
- 1:21:10Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's not a first date. You want to
- 1:21:12Speaker 5: be like a full tier first date.
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: First date.
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: You don't barely move? Yeah, why would you?
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: And you want to hopefully the meat sweats first date? Yeah?
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: This week in audio, okay, Greg, this one's gonna be
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: super tough. Ok So, this is a young seventeen year
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: old guy on TikTok goes by. His name is Joey Charney,
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: and he's started a like a cooking channel where he
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: cooks stuff.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: Here's why he started it. My name is Joey.
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: I'm seventeen years old, and I cooked dinners for my
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: family because my mom is no longer with.
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: Us okay aka dead.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: All right, then he's gonna cook. You have to cook mom.
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: I guess someone's got to do it.
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: Huh.
- 1:21:53Speaker 7: And he's getting all kind yes said, But again, do
- 1:21:56Speaker 7: you have to have to go on TikTok and explain.
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: The people why you?
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: I see your point there, right, like just make just
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: make your your family's dinner.
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: Well, maybe he's doing something real great, let's hear tonight.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: I'm making chicken marion aera pasta and garlic redsticks on
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: the side. First, I'm adding some water to my pot
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: on the stove. Oh, then I'm salting the water.
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: And now that my water's basically boiling, I'm adding a
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: pound of brigotone.
- 1:22:21Speaker 5: So it's real, real informative stuff.
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: To make pasta.
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: I get he's seventeen.
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: How you stir it?
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: Yeah, this is the new way to go.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:33Speaker 5: Now you turn that, you turn the stove on her off?
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: Well, okay, to be fair, though, I used to bag
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: of Rachel Riggs. Nine out of ten of her stuff
- 1:22:41Speaker 6: that she made on her show was hamburgers. Like, Okay,
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: if you're slightly an adult.
- 1:22:46Speaker 7: You know how to make a hamburger, So all favor
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: eye roll again the obvious thing. Obviously, it's terrible, sad situation.
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: No one would wants that to happen to you or
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: anybody you know. But but why do you have to
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: make a cooking channel about it? Well and put it
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: out there as like, look what I'm doing others'kay?
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: How about next episode toast? Well, how about double purpose?
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: You got to make food for your family and if
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: you can create this channel that brings in a little
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: extra money because you've got to like now support the family.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: Like maybe that was maybe, maybe that was the You're
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: literally just you're showing people how to make post.
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: You're milking people's sympathy hard.
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know, I mean good hook.
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: I can't relate though. Ye Mom's still alive, so I'm lucky.
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: But I'm leaning a babe. At least he's trying, are
- 1:23:38Speaker 6: you really?
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: Yeah? Also seventeen seventeen seventeen lost his mom.
- 1:23:42Speaker 6: That sucks. He's trying. Maybe his recipes will, his repertoire
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: will expand. Maybe he's starting small.
- 1:23:50Speaker 11: His mom's looking down from heaven so disappointed.
- 1:23:52Speaker 6: Yeah, this is.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: Better than this.
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: At least he's trying something. I don't know.
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: It's just like, but didn't I show you how to
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: make a Wellington feels sad for me?
- 1:24:06Speaker 6: You don't care?
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: Don't care? Is and let's wrap it up.
- 1:24:14Speaker 7: This week in audio, finally have the full album released
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: from Pat McAfee.
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: Oh god, I didn't realize it was an album.
- 1:24:24Speaker 18: Yo.
- 1:24:25Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Hey, he's got a bunch of songs.
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: This one's called out There's got enough going on, dude,
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: enough stuff, you got enough job.
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: Diary of a polarizing figure figure because he's but hardcore
- 1:24:36Speaker 7: and people don't like what he says sometimes.
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: This song is called Outlaws, and.
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: It's about how he says what he wants, doesn't matter
- 1:24:41Speaker 7: what the suits have to say.
- 1:24:44Speaker 11: On his as that friends saying that we rule sports
- 1:24:48Speaker 11: television again nigga a.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Script and following.
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: It does sound like every other country.
- 1:24:56Speaker 8: I don't.
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: My question to you to everybody is why is he
- 1:25:00Speaker 7: talking like that? Because that's not his Pittsburgh accents exactly,
- 1:25:04Speaker 7: trying to do jelly roll.
- 1:25:06Speaker 9: Yeah all right, well, yeah, I know I don't mind
- 1:25:08Speaker 9: that either though, Like when I like the country music,
- 1:25:11Speaker 9: you sing along with the accent just country.
- 1:25:13Speaker 5: But yeah, but he's not singing a law that. He's
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: singing his own song.
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: Do you think he actually sang it or do you
- 1:25:19Speaker 4: think he put his voice in there and the AI to.
- 1:25:22Speaker 7: Well, because it sounds super processed as it does. There's
- 1:25:24Speaker 7: a lot of chorusing effects.
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: It's very AI. It's very I think he did it's
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: a word greg.
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: It is very super highly polished. Okay, maybe he didn't
- 1:25:33Speaker 7: like outlaws. What this next song, click clak, is about
- 1:25:36Speaker 7: how he does what he wants. It doesn't less my
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: head that the suits have to say.
- 1:25:39Speaker 21: We got the SuDS quaking, shake and break in everybody's waiting,
- 1:25:43Speaker 21: no debating that they hate.
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: That's not AI. That's just terrible.
- 1:25:48Speaker 21: We got the suons quaking, shaking break in everybody's waiting,
- 1:25:51Speaker 21: no debating that they hating, greatness, invading and bacon. Well,
- 1:25:55Speaker 21: it's a new generation with a lethal combination, not giving that.
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: Damn.
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: They couldn't even edit the breaths out of there. You
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: know what's really click clack reload. He's got guns.
- 1:26:08Speaker 16: He's sports with guns, all right, So I.
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: Will give what he credit because I had expected him
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: to be on autopander mode for Pat McAfee.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: I like Pat mcdude. I like Pat McAfee a lot.
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: I really admire what he built. I think he does
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: a great job. I enjoy his takes. I think he
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: gets through the good guests, and the guests like to
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: open up to him because he has a fellow athlete.
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: He's got all that stuff going for him. Yeah, he's
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: got a billion and the other thing. I'm also really joking.
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: He really runs his own universe. He doesn't really have bosses.
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: Like the ESPN people are licensing his show to run
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: on the ESPN and they're gonna pay him with his
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: new extension sixty whatever million dollars.
- 1:26:43Speaker 16: Well he's good.
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: Good, Good for him. When J. J.
- 1:26:45Speaker 7: Watt went on his and started crapping on all the layoffs,
- 1:26:48Speaker 7: He's sure back back pedaled fast.
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: On that and said, hey, now wait a minute, hold on,
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: these are good people.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: Bah.
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: I mean I think he's gonna you know, I think
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: he's going to defend the people who are you know.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: Get millions of dollars from Wonder.
- 1:26:58Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: But at the same time, I think if he didn't
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: want to do that. I don't think he would have.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: I really do believe that that part is authentic and man,
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: to get to the point in your life for your career,
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: you literally just can do. You know what, I'm gonna
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: do some crappy country album and it's real bad. Here's
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: that and you can do it and people go, okay,
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: and you're picking some million dollars.
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: It's actually not bad. Okay.
- 1:27:22Speaker 7: Here's his former employer, Dave Portnoy of Barstools Sports, talking
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: about people who are saying that's actually a good album.
- 1:27:28Speaker 22: Pat mcviie obviously came out with his album and listen,
- 1:27:31Speaker 22: a guy can do whatever he wants to do. I
- 1:27:33Speaker 22: think it was good. No, I thought it was horrible.
- 1:27:35Speaker 22: Like mcvee made the album fine. He wants to make music,
- 1:27:37Speaker 22: he wants to auto to, he wants to do whatever.
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: Cool.
- 1:27:39Speaker 22: When something is just clearly not good good, you can't
- 1:27:43Speaker 22: be it's good good, Thank you.
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: Well click clack reminded me of Imagine Dragons a little bit.
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: Well, Imagine Dragons does get a lot of hate. Well, Greg, Okay,
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: hold on, here's a song. Pat McAfee calls, oops, it's
- 1:27:56Speaker 7: about how he does what he wants and doesn't listen
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: to the suits.
- 1:28:00Speaker 13: Did not.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: Jobs back in the day.
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: And anything.
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: Today.
- 1:28:11Speaker 19: I used to.
- 1:28:14Speaker 5: Shout out, Philly, Philly.
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: Could the kids say this?
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: Ain't it? You can do it?
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: Look, you can't hit a home run all the time?
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: Ye, first one, I'll tell you the artist passes at
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: Stage Coach twenty twenty seven are better than VIP passes.
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: I guarantee you he's probably gonna play you heard it
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: here first. Yeah, I'm gonna put out my prediction board,
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: addiction board back.
- 1:28:39Speaker 11: Stage rocket.
- 1:28:41Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: People you mean the people the.
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: People in Staro Coach who are such authentic country fans
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: that diploma has a tenth there every year they'll let
- 1:28:48Speaker 7: Pat McAfee on stage.
- 1:28:49Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, great, yeah.
- 1:28:54Speaker 18: Country.
- 1:28:55Speaker 10: That's why he's Wesley.
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: His name is Wesley.
- 1:28:58Speaker 11: By the way, you when he's at stage.
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: I listened through our skin through all his songs. They're
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: all about coming up and doing what he wants. And
- 1:29:05Speaker 7: he's he was making He was making six figures a
- 1:29:07Speaker 7: year starting at the age of twenty two.
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: Before that, he had a full ride scholarship starting.
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: At the right rage of eighteen.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: He didn't live a hard life.
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: Sorry, so he's raging against the machine while being the machine.
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: Exactly to a certain to a certain degree, I think
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: you're looking at it two different ways. I think I
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: think about like the post football career that he carved
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: out for himself, nobody gave him anything on that side.
- 1:29:31Speaker 7: I agree with that as a broadcaster again, because he
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: got he kind of got big on barstool.
- 1:29:36Speaker 5: They didn't want him to pay enough, so he then
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: kind of went out and gott did his.
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: Own thing, did the YouTube thing, launched that into whatever
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: it was with DraftKings or something like that.
- 1:29:45Speaker 7: After making fifteen million dollars playing in the NFL. Okay,
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: But I'm saying, like, when you switch a career up,
- 1:29:50Speaker 7: there's playing these players that want to go and do
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: broadcast stuff, yep, and they don't become what he has become, right,
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: So then why did it make a career and people
- 1:29:58Speaker 7: and people weren't just lining up to give him offers
- 1:30:00Speaker 7: to do shows?
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: Sure, why make a crappy country wrap up because you.
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: Can, because you make you a million dollars a year,
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: good good, good thing. On the text, this Pat McAfee
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: music is the equivalent of Garth Brooks reducing that rock
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: album is Chris Paine. Remember we did that Chris Gaines,
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Chris Gaines when they said pain. I don't know he
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: was doing whatever that was.
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: He was doing a character intentionally.
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: Pat McAfee's like he's pretending he came apart on these streets,
- 1:30:24Speaker 7: he's had a real good life since the age of eighteen.
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: And acting like it's him versus the suits where they're
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: giving you money, they're showing down to you. What are
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: you talking about?
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, Well, well, let's you want to hear some row.
- 1:30:37Speaker 8: Well is this even considered country?
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: I mean this is.
- 1:30:39Speaker 9: I think that's also why I kind of like it.
- 1:30:41Speaker 9: It's a little bit different. It doesn't necessarily fall into
- 1:30:43Speaker 9: one specific.
- 1:30:43Speaker 10: Category for me.
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: Why is he Why is he talking like that?
- 1:30:47Speaker 16: Is my question?
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: Again, you just sound like a hater.
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: I am hating it because it sucks.
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: I think I am on record saying I don't think
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: it's good either. Okay, but I'm not I'm not just
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: then dismissing everything else. I think there are some distressing
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: truth there's some authenticity. Okay, let's cleanse the palate, Sammy, Okay,
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: with some real musical talent. Kristen Bell showed up to
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: a Savannah Banana's game and she had she was in
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: in the audience, appeared to be live, and this is
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: what it sounded like.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: You'll be real life people.
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: You'll be tearly strange.
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: This frozen.
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: The first one.
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: Actual real talents from who what's her rs character.
- 1:31:40Speaker 7: Elsa, I'm not sure which one she was now they're
- 1:31:43Speaker 7: her detective character Ron fromar Roamars's gonna go.
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: Kristen Bell.
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: Now, I hate it because it's that Broadway style.
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: I would dive off the top row of the city.
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: It's like I'm out of watershed at Disney.
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: But it's talent.
- 1:31:57Speaker 16: Yeah it is.
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: You are undernied like it, but it's talent.
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: I like Pat McAfee.
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:32:03Speaker 7: This week in audio, all right, oh h here's a man.
- 1:32:08Speaker 7: Let's switch gears here talk about what man stuff is.
- 1:32:11Speaker 7: This is a pastor John Ramblin Hamblin talking about, well
- 1:32:15Speaker 7: he's preaching, talking about how he likes his coffee.
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: All right, Pastor John, That's what I'm talking about.
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: When I say coffee, I mean coffee. If you put
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: cream and sugar in your coffee shirt, you probably got
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: an Instagram and I didn't trust account too.
- 1:32:28Speaker 6: That's a good Bible preaching right there.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: Give me you put cream and sugar in your coffee,
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: you'll just be honest about it and put it in
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: a baby bottle. Just put in a sippy cup. You're
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: gonna drink it that way.
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: I like, what the hell we fast forward to there?
- 1:32:43Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 1:32:43Speaker 6: Did I do that?
- 1:32:44Speaker 19: No?
- 1:32:44Speaker 5: That was that was my po The point is if
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: you if you drink anything about hard black coffee, your puss.
- 1:32:49Speaker 6: Yeah, in such nineteen seventies sent to me, that's like
- 1:32:53Speaker 6: something John Wayne would have said.
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: That's wrong, so bad back then.
- 1:32:59Speaker 6: No, I guess no.
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: Real men were real men.
- 1:33:01Speaker 16: Yeah, chewed up by That's.
- 1:33:04Speaker 6: What I'm talking about.
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: When I say coffee, I mean coffee. If you put
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: cream and sugar in your coffee shirt, you'd probably got
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: an Instagram and I didn't trust account too.
- 1:33:14Speaker 6: That's a good Bible preaching right there. Give me you
- 1:33:16Speaker 6: you put.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: Cream and sugar in your coffee, you don't just be
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: honest about it and put in a baby bottle. Just
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: put in a sippy cup. You're gonna drink it that way.
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: I like Cowboy coffee. That's where it's so dark and
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: it's so strong it would float a horseshoe.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: What you're drinking, dude, that's grey A text us over
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: to two two nine eight seven. The Woody Show will
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: be right back.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: The Woody Show.
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: All right, So it's back to school time. You like this,
- 1:33:57Speaker 4: Greg a teacher in Houston and do something new to
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: her students. It's called the fark corner.
- 1:34:06Speaker 6: All right. So if you're feeling bruin, yeah, you go
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: over there.
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: Yeah, so you know that you don't have to be
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: all weird about it, right, Yeah, you just go over there,
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: as is.
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: This is our.
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: This is our park corner.
- 1:34:19Speaker 14: If you need to far, simply come over here. Fart,
- 1:34:22Speaker 14: take about ten second, get your little spray going on,
- 1:34:26Speaker 14: go sit out. Nobody's paying attention, nobody cares, nobody was
- 1:34:31Speaker 14: worried about it.
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 1:34:35Speaker 5: Yeah, the corner.
- 1:34:39Speaker 15: If you're loud about it, No, if you get up
- 1:34:41Speaker 15: and go over there, be like and I would be
- 1:34:44Speaker 15: in that corner all day.
- 1:34:47Speaker 11: Morgan, you're a fartery.
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: How many times do you go to the fart corner today?
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna ask a menace? Menace?
- 1:34:55Speaker 6: What is what is that?
- 1:34:58Speaker 21: Uh?
- 1:34:59Speaker 5: That is a swatchedicawatcha?
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: Yeah, how would you say, Greg?
- 1:35:05Speaker 6: I would say that's a swastika.
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: That's a swastika.
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 4: Now, here's the here's the here's tag, here's the full picture. Okay,
- 1:35:14Speaker 4: some sort of tag, all right.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: Now somebody on this show was getting a little static
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: about this yesterday because this is there? Is that like
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: a luggage tag? I don't know what?
- 1:35:25Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: What what is that? Morgan?
- 1:35:27Speaker 10: It's something I got in Japan from a shrine. It's
- 1:35:30Speaker 10: like a good luck thing.
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: It has an official name with a swatchtka on it.
- 1:35:35Speaker 10: Those are everywhere out there.
- 1:35:37Speaker 6: Yeah, because it's it's a different meaning.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: It's an easy geometric shape for many cultures to make.
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: Over the years.
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:35:44Speaker 15: But this lady was standing behind me in the story
- 1:35:47Speaker 15: yesterday and she was like, is that a swashtick on
- 1:35:49Speaker 15: your purse?
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: I was like, no, it's called a mangy.
- 1:35:54Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:35:55Speaker 10: So my question is should I be carrying this around?
- 1:35:58Speaker 15: Like does it know for a stranger standing in line
- 1:36:01Speaker 15: behind me at the grocery store to say.
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: Something unless you want to explain it every single time.
- 1:36:05Speaker 10: Which I don't.
- 1:36:05Speaker 9: Yeah, I had already noticed that, and I picked it
- 1:36:07Speaker 9: up and looked at it, and she wants it's very questionable.
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: But she wants one that's an actual swaster, but I knew.
- 1:36:14Speaker 8: It was from Japans, so I knew it meant something different.
- 1:36:16Speaker 10: But you shouldn't have.
- 1:36:17Speaker 13: That on that.
- 1:36:18Speaker 10: It means wishes come true, Thank you very much.
- 1:36:21Speaker 7: If you explain that every day to everybody, right, and
- 1:36:24Speaker 7: only the people who ask, the rest of the people
- 1:36:26Speaker 7: just ignore you, you'll lose opportunity and they just assume.
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: It's like when people want to like carve it up
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: about the Confederate flag.
- 1:36:32Speaker 6: You know, can you just tuck that thing into your person?
- 1:36:35Speaker 15: I mean I can just take it off and not
- 1:36:37Speaker 15: carry it around. But then I have another one that's
- 1:36:39Speaker 15: for victory and perseverance that's on my gym bag, and
- 1:36:42Speaker 15: that's got a fake swasting.
- 1:36:44Speaker 8: Is there inside that pouch that has the stuff on
- 1:36:47Speaker 8: it or it.
- 1:36:47Speaker 15: Just as a symbol that means that there's something inside,
- 1:36:50Speaker 15: but you're not supposed to open it because then the powers.
- 1:36:52Speaker 10: Okay, a very historical.
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: You know, it's Jewish teeth.
- 1:36:58Speaker 6: We get it.
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: That's disgusting, American history says the text.
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: The better question is, oh, yeah, we all get it.
- 1:37:06Speaker 5: It means something in different cultures. The gift why? Okay,
- 1:37:09Speaker 5: so it was a gift and you couldn't throw it away,
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: but it's pretty.
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: Well advertised about what everybody really thinks that is. Yeah,
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: you know, even.
- 1:37:15Speaker 6: If it's slightly reversed or whatever.
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: They're probably like, haha, we can get American to buy this.
- 1:37:21Speaker 10: They're all of the buildings American races.
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, we'll put it on all our buildings so
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: they all have a good backstory.
- 1:37:29Speaker 11: From Yeah, is there another place you know?
- 1:37:34Speaker 6: And we'll leave it.
- 1:37:35Speaker 5: Yeah, Like you get the gift and then you can
- 1:37:39Speaker 5: you keep it with all your other jew hating stuff.
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: I do have a class. It's like when, uh was
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: it Tomura? Did Tom Segura get Burt or did Bert
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: get Tom? I think it was Tom got Bert Hitler's
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: tea cup because they were like into this whole thing
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: about like finding old gifts, Yeah, like the worst gifts.
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: And Tom found a tea cup that I guess used
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: to belong to Hitler and he gave it to Burt
- 1:38:09Speaker 4: like his birthday dude, and the like the reaction is
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: hilarious because Birt's trying to figure out like, well, what
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: is this and then he's there, go ahead and drink
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: from it. Oh, no, drink from first like ahead, and
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: then he figured out what it was that Yah, So
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: if you want to, like again have that conversation, I
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: guess just keep keep it on your bag.
- 1:38:35Speaker 10: I'm good, I'll take it off today you want to see? No, yes, can't,
- 1:38:41Speaker 10: which is keep it off here?
- 1:38:43Speaker 11: No more than what if you put all of them
- 1:38:46Speaker 11: on your purse, all the different ones that you haven't
- 1:38:48Speaker 11: go to, like the Museum of Tolerance.
- 1:38:50Speaker 15: Well, good idea. I have three of them, but it's
- 1:38:53Speaker 15: bad luck to have more than one on your bag.
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: So she's been on one trip and then she's now
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: she's an expert, she's the.
- 1:38:59Speaker 5: Entire lture something.
- 1:39:00Speaker 10: When I'm there, well, so what is this one that
- 1:39:02Speaker 10: you have in your back right now?
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: Mean?
- 1:39:04Speaker 10: Which has come true? Okay? And I have one for
- 1:39:07Speaker 10: victory and perseverance.
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: She learned all this stuff but not learned. Hey, maybe
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: I shouldn't have this out in public when I'm outside
- 1:39:13Speaker 5: of Japan.
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: Yeah, they did it come with like a little warning tag?
- 1:39:16Speaker 10: No, of course not. I was warned by the people
- 1:39:19Speaker 10: I was with there, like, oh, you're going to see
- 1:39:21Speaker 10: these a lot.
- 1:39:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean know what it means, you guys.
- 1:39:25Speaker 10: Know, I'm not a what do you call it a
- 1:39:27Speaker 10: jew hater. There's a name for it.
- 1:39:28Speaker 19: What is it?
- 1:39:29Speaker 6: That's it?
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: You got hold on, Let's see if you can come
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: up with it.
- 1:39:35Speaker 10: The anti semitic. Yeah, thanks guys. All right, well I'll
- 1:39:44Speaker 10: take it off my bag.
- 1:39:45Speaker 4: You wanted to know. I wanted to open up in
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: the room and see what everybody thought. Yeah, she's like,
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: is this racist? Does this make me a racist? I
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: mean not for the reason that you bought it. You
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: bought it because they told you it meant what it
- 1:39:56Speaker 4: meant happiness, you said, wishes com which has come true.
- 1:40:02Speaker 7: Don't And by the way, it's a symbol that meant
- 1:40:05Speaker 7: nothing or it was just like an ancient blah blah
- 1:40:06Speaker 7: blah across many cultures until for about ten years a
- 1:40:10Speaker 7: group of people ruined it and now no one can
- 1:40:12Speaker 7: have it for probably another couple hundred years.
- 1:40:13Speaker 5: Are you talking about the rainbow flag?
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: Yes, that was hijacked the Yeah, the Swatschtka was hijacked.
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: They were having a perfectly good time with it, and
- 1:40:25Speaker 4: then the Nazis had to co op it. Yeah, the
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: rainbow was perfectly fine. It was cool to see.
- 1:40:31Speaker 6: But it's the perfect flag for the Yeah, for the
- 1:40:33Speaker 6: gay community. Oh absolutely, because what straight man wants the rainbow,
- 1:40:37Speaker 6: that's true. Uh. And I think Robin Williams co opted
- 1:40:40Speaker 6: at first with his suspenders.
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, that old timey TV show which was
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: called Sammy Wow. I didn't know that. But you don't
- 1:40:49Speaker 4: know any n Excess song because I.
- 1:40:52Speaker 9: Just my knowledge goes further back. I like there's a
- 1:40:55Speaker 9: middle ground of like eighty like my culture stuff, Like
- 1:40:58Speaker 9: there's a weird middle ground of fl like eighties and
- 1:41:01Speaker 9: nineties of certain things that I just don't know.
- 1:41:03Speaker 5: But I can go further back than that and years
- 1:41:05Speaker 5: developed like later in life or something.
- 1:41:07Speaker 10: No, I don't know, it's just what I was exposed to.
- 1:41:09Speaker 10: I guess.
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. But you missed all of an excess,
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: not even like one song, She missed all of it.
- 1:41:15Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: We were playing like little clips of an Excess songs
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: and didn't.
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: Know one of them.
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: She said.
- 1:41:20Speaker 6: I was born then, but still okay, No, I don't
- 1:41:23Speaker 6: know the age old argument.
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: You know, Yeah, but the problem.
- 1:41:27Speaker 9: Yeah, I really liked like TV Land and Nick at Night,
- 1:41:31Speaker 9: and obviously that had stemmed from Happy Days and I
- 1:41:34Speaker 9: know all that stuff.
- 1:41:35Speaker 10: I don't know why.
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: I like stuff like this debunked myths, So a bunch
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: of stuff that you might have learned in the school
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: that might not actually be true. This is from the
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: folks over at history facts dot com seed Bass. So
- 1:41:55Speaker 4: if there's anything in here you like to take issue
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: with that, you can hit them up. I mean they
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: have a good website. There a list of historical facts
- 1:42:02Speaker 4: quote unquote that have been repeated for years, even though
- 1:42:05Speaker 4: they are either wrong or at the very least really misleading.
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: Like we're just talking about, they've just been passed down
- 1:42:10Speaker 4: textbooks and movies and classrooms so many times everybody just
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: assumes that they are true. For example, people were burned
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: the steak during the Salem witch trials.
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: Not true.
- 1:42:22Speaker 6: Weren't they dunked in water?
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: The nineteen people convicted of witchcraft, thirteen were hanged, five
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: died in jail, and one got stoned to death. So
- 1:42:33Speaker 4: it was not good for them. Not good for them,
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: But they weren't burning too. It's cooler for the movies.
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: It still died.
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: Yeah, but the whole ia you got burned to the steak.
- 1:42:44Speaker 6: I always thought they put you on a chair and
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: they lowered it into the water.
- 1:42:48Speaker 9: There was one where it was like they would sink
- 1:42:50Speaker 9: you down to the bottom, and if you sunk, you
- 1:42:53Speaker 9: weren't a witch. But you died right you drown, but
- 1:42:56Speaker 9: if you came back up to the top, you were
- 1:42:57Speaker 9: a witch, and then they would hang you or whatever.
- 1:42:59Speaker 5: Okay, let's see if that's true.
- 1:43:01Speaker 4: It might be a lot, it might be.
- 1:43:02Speaker 6: That's probably fun.
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: That's funking. Napoleon was short, not true, modern current standard
- 1:43:11Speaker 4: inches were actually measured differently in the nineteenth century France
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: than they are today. Like in reality, Napoleon was around
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: five foot seven, so short like Seabaster said by today's standard,
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: but slightly above average for male height at that time.
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: How miserable would that have been? Morgan like five seven
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: was slightly above average at that time.
- 1:43:32Speaker 15: Well, I mean, i'd be screwed, but I guess be'ld.
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: Be walking through town. That's a huge bitch. Yeah, that's
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: a huge bitch.
- 1:43:41Speaker 18: Damn.
- 1:43:43Speaker 4: Albert Einstein failed math. Not true, that's not true. I've
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: heard I've heard that one before that I've heard it.
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: But yeah, Einstein called out this infamous headline from Ripley's
- 1:43:54Speaker 4: Believe It or Not that he had failed in math.
- 1:43:57Speaker 4: In reality, he said himself that he had mastered differential
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: and integral calculus by the time he was fifteen.
- 1:44:04Speaker 6: I don't even know what calculus is. Yeah, you know what,
- 1:44:07Speaker 6: I've never understood it.
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: I'm glad you said that.
- 1:44:09Speaker 6: Like algebra, I don't know.
- 1:44:11Speaker 10: When they add the letters to the numbers, right, No.
- 1:44:15Speaker 7: I'm telling you, I don't know what Ye Well, that's
- 1:44:18Speaker 7: I mean, well, it depends what you mean by add
- 1:44:20Speaker 7: the letters, because if it's just like seven x, that's
- 1:44:23Speaker 7: just can.
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: You give us the dumb, dumb explanation of calculating what
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: is it?
- 1:44:26Speaker 7: So calculus is math to the infinity. So like, let's
- 1:44:32Speaker 7: say you've got a curve, right, you know, like the
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: curve is why equals X squared? Right, a parabola?
- 1:44:39Speaker 21: Right?
- 1:44:40Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:44:40Speaker 17: Easy.
- 1:44:41Speaker 5: Now let's say you wanted to find the slope at
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: any single point, Well, you could find that blah blah
- 1:44:46Speaker 5: blah blah blah. But then let's say you wanted to
- 1:44:48Speaker 5: find the area underneath that. Well, then you have to
- 1:44:51Speaker 5: get the get the you have to make tiny little squares,
- 1:44:53Speaker 5: tiny little squares, t little squares, little squares. Because you
- 1:44:55Speaker 5: could do the area of square easily, but the area under.
- 1:44:58Speaker 6: A curve, curve, How would you do that?
- 1:45:00Speaker 16: You do that?
- 1:45:01Speaker 4: It's a tile for like a you know what I mean,
- 1:45:04Speaker 4: there's like a pipe coming up through the floor.
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: So there is a real life application to it.
- 1:45:07Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:45:07Speaker 7: Again, that's why I was rulers like you know, but
- 1:45:11Speaker 7: that's not how you get that's how you get to
- 1:45:12Speaker 7: the moon menace.
- 1:45:13Speaker 5: Uh like what like what you just said?
- 1:45:15Speaker 7: You could keep making tinier and tinier little tiles or
- 1:45:18Speaker 7: use calculus to use the math to get rid of
- 1:45:21Speaker 7: that that whole step.
- 1:45:22Speaker 6: Great thing.
- 1:45:23Speaker 4: I'm sure it's in your feed because we have a
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: lot of the same algorithm with the home improvement stuff.
- 1:45:28Speaker 4: Have you seen those like videos where they show you
- 1:45:30Speaker 4: the trick and how to like if you have like
- 1:45:32Speaker 4: a a post coming out of the next corn, like
- 1:45:35Speaker 4: where a bathroom's rocked in. Yes, right, and they're like,
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: all right, well, in order to get this tile perfectly
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: cut for this corner pipe that comes up or whatever,
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: and they take it and they kind of jam it
- 1:45:45Speaker 4: into the corner and draw a line across the one
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: top and then spin it ninety degrees, draw another line
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: and it perfectly says where to put the stupid hole.
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: But it fits perfect I've seen those a thousand times,
- 1:45:55Speaker 6: and are you like me where you still couldn't recreate it?
- 1:45:58Speaker 6: I you had to, Yeah, I have to keep watching it.
- 1:46:02Speaker 7: But that's that's why I would say Isaac Newton slightly
- 1:46:04Speaker 7: edges out Einstein as smartest person ever because Isaac.
- 1:46:07Speaker 5: Newton to come up with all of his stuff for you.
- 1:46:09Speaker 4: Of course, right, I didn't say that at all.
- 1:46:11Speaker 7: Uh, to come up with his stuff about mass and acceleration,
- 1:46:14Speaker 7: he had to invent calculus for himself. Like he had to.
- 1:46:17Speaker 7: He couldn't figure out how to do all these equations right,
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: so he had he literally had to invent a whole
- 1:46:21Speaker 7: new field of mathematics.
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: But that's why we got computers.
- 1:46:28Speaker 5: No dog, you know what I'm saying. Yea, But Einstein
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: had the cool hair. That's why he gets all the
- 1:46:34Speaker 5: sign did some great stuff. But one one A and
- 1:46:37Speaker 5: one B maybe Mary's cousin. Yes, it was awesome, Yes.
- 1:46:42Speaker 4: It was awesome. Awid this thing about you know lies
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: that adults and teachers told us when we were kids, like, well, no,
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: you got to know how to do this math because
- 1:46:50Speaker 4: it's not like you're going to have a calculator in
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: your pocket. He goes, we've got a supercomputer in our rocket.
- 1:46:55Speaker 4: We've got a calculator.
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: Plus some And to backtrack, there are document to cases
- 1:47:00Speaker 7: of witch dunking across Europe in the sixteen hundreds.
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: Witch dunking. Yeah, you're screwed. Game heads, you win tails,
- 1:47:11Speaker 5: I lose vice versa.
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: Never had to take calculus, No, me, neither.
- 1:47:16Speaker 5: But you can do it now you could.
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: But I mean, you know, it's one of those where
- 1:47:21Speaker 4: somehow I'm fifty years old, I've made it this far
- 1:47:25Speaker 4: and I haven't gone Wow, you know what this is
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: where my calculus can really come in handy. You know,
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: there's just certain things that we'd be interesting if you're
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: interested in it. It could be like anything else interesting
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: to learn. I've gone this far, but knowing what it is,
- 1:47:39Speaker 4: let alone not knowing.
- 1:47:41Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: Other debunked history myths. Marie Antoinette said let them eat cake.
- 1:47:48Speaker 6: Not true. You learned that if you watch It's Creek.
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: The original quote in French was I guess misinterpreted and
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: she actually said let them eat briotious.
- 1:47:58Speaker 18: Ah.
- 1:47:59Speaker 5: That doesn't sound as I know.
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: It certainly doesn't like a brioche bun, like a bread
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: sweet ob Yeah, it's probably dry. And yeah, the brioche
- 1:48:11Speaker 4: bun is good, is it?
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:48:13Speaker 19: Dry?
- 1:48:13Speaker 4: No, it's where they usually highlighted when they're, you know,
- 1:48:15Speaker 4: putting this on whatever the sandwiches like. They like to say,
- 1:48:19Speaker 4: it's a brioche bun.
- 1:48:21Speaker 5: That's what sounds fancy French.
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: Here, I'll give you one more. Cleopatra was Egyptian, not true, Macedonian,
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: that's right, Macedonian Greek, believed to have descended from one
- 1:48:32Speaker 4: of Alexander the Greats generals.
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: And isn't it true that she wasn't hot? Oh no,
- 1:48:38Speaker 6: I thought that it really wasn't that.
- 1:48:41Speaker 5: Actually I did hear full bush dug.
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: I heard that her bush was of legend, like those
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: pants come off and then the lights go out, eclipses.
- 1:48:51Speaker 6: All the light in the room, and thoseings.
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: Like but Clark Griswold cut the rope off the Christmas
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: tree went through the Yeah, yeah.
- 1:49:01Speaker 6: Yeah, apparently she was not hot. King Tut not hot?
- 1:49:04Speaker 4: Huh.
- 1:49:05Speaker 6: We always told they're so hot, King Tutt.
- 1:49:08Speaker 8: We thought he was hot.
- 1:49:09Speaker 4: Yeah, people said that always, so you're handsome. But I've
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: been in that conversationally. You guys know that King Tut
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: was hot, very hot.
- 1:49:20Speaker 5: I remember having that one Who's hot Who's not?
- 1:49:25Speaker 6: We learned that in kindergarten.
- 1:49:27Speaker 4: Yeah, they were playing smash her pass King Tut came
- 1:49:29Speaker 4: up Greg and his big gay Yeah Stein hot smash.
- 1:49:38Speaker 6: King Tut Einstein and Isaac Newton smash I started.
- 1:49:43Speaker 5: King Tut hot.
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: Not Boila wouldn't approve the wood Show All.
- 1:49:52Speaker 4: Right, Time to wrap up, get the hell out of here.
- 1:49:53Speaker 4: Everybody gonna do it four Thursday, Happy birthday, Jeff g

- 1:50:25Speaker 4: us on social media. Look force there at the Woody Show. Yeah,
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: all right, Greg Gory parting words wisdom.
- 1:50:31Speaker 6: Please. Yeah, when you die, people cry and they want
- 1:50:33Speaker 6: you to come back. But when you do come back,
- 1:50:36Speaker 6: they run and scream.
- 1:50:39Speaker 18: I know.
- 1:50:39Speaker 6: It's like, oh my god, Yeah, how does it go?
- 1:50:44Speaker 4: Oh I got a house? Yeah yeah, probably your dead
- 1:50:50Speaker 4: relatives living at Greg's house.
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: Yeah, they're all at my place, throwing his.
- 1:50:54Speaker 4: Stuff around, turning lights on.
- 1:50:57Speaker 6: So it's a fact.
- 1:50:59Speaker 4: Thank you very much, Greg Gory. Thank you so much
- 1:51:02Speaker 4: for giving the Woe Show some of your valuable time
- 1:51:04Speaker 4: this morning. You know we'd love it, appreciate you for that.
