- 0:28Hey, everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:32So let's talk about your sparkle.
- 0:34Let's talk about getting your sparkle on.
- 0:37This is something that we all want to do.
- 0:41We all want to be able to light up a room.
- 0:43We all want to be able to shine our best selves.
- 0:47We all have this desire to say, you know, even if we deny it
- 0:51like oh, I don't need the attention, it doesn't mean we
- 0:53don't want it. We all want to sparkle and we
- 0:57have to admit that first and foremost.
- 0:59Yeah, we all want to do it. We all want to be able to go in
- 1:01and be magical. That being said, we consistently
- 1:07let people steal our sparkle. We consistently let people take
- 1:12their down and out attitude and dump it on us.
- 1:16And then we respond, and before you know it, our sparkle is
- 1:21extinguished, done, done for the day, and we go with the attitude
- 1:25of, oh, it'll be a better day tomorrow.
- 1:27Well, point is, why are we having it extinguished by
- 1:32someone else? Why are we letting someone else
- 1:35extinguish our sparkle? Why are we letting them even dim
- 1:38it? Why are we giving them that
- 1:40power? What is the reason that we allow
- 1:43it to happen? And asking yourself that
- 1:46question, especially if you have a constant committer to this
- 1:49where somebody you know is the person who comes in and they are
- 1:52the pin to your balloon. They are the water to your
- 1:55flame. They are the the one who just
- 1:59constantly says and you feel like, why does this happen to me
- 2:05constantly? Well, first and foremost it
- 2:07happens because we let it happen.
- 2:09I I, I'm committer of this myself.
- 2:11I will let it happen. I will have these grandiose
- 2:14visions and ideas and then I go and I'll talk about them.
- 2:17I'll say something to my husband and then he'll be the pin to my
- 2:19balloon. And I've said that to him.
- 2:20I actually make that sound sometimes where I'll be like,
- 2:24did you just hear my balloon go flat?
- 2:26And then he gets it because he's very analytical and he's not in
- 2:30that headspace and I'm in a very different heads space.
- 2:33So sometimes we have those Clash of the World's and I used to
- 2:38get, and I still do occasionally, not nearly as much
- 2:42as I used to, but I used to let it own me.
- 2:45I used to get so mad and I it would ruin my day.
- 2:49In fact, it might actually ruin a few days because I I still had
- 2:52to see him. It's not like I could get rid of
- 2:54him in that moment. And I would.
- 2:56I would carry it with me, I would take it with me and lug it
- 2:59around. And every time I saw him it was
- 3:02just like the offense happened again.
- 3:04And it really over the over the years I've recognized that that
- 3:10strategy does not work to shift somebody.
- 3:13What has to happen is it's about me.
- 3:15It's an all in inside job, so I have to shift my perspective of
- 3:19it and I have decided that the sparkle is more important than
- 3:24the offense. Does that make sense?
- 3:25The sparkle in me that I am in charge of.
- 3:28I'm in charge of stocking my fire.
- 3:29Just like if you put a fire logs in your fireplace and you're
- 3:32burning the fire, if the fire is going out, what do you do?
- 3:35You go get another log and you put it on the fireplace and then
- 3:38you stoke the fire to make sure you're all set.
- 3:41You don't just let it die out unless you're going to bed and
- 3:44you've decided you're done with it.
- 3:46But if you still want the fire, you don't sit there and go, oh,
- 3:49nobody else will get up to do it.
- 3:51I guess I I'm going to just sit here and complain.
- 3:54No, you fix it because you want it.
- 3:56And it's the same thing with this.
- 3:58You have to own it. You have to take it on.
- 4:00And you have to take it as a serious thing, where you are not
- 4:04letting someone steal your sparkle because it's too damn
- 4:08important not to. In a world where it is sometimes
- 4:12dingy and Gray and dark and damp and you can't get rid of it, you
- 4:17have to own your sparkle. And going into next year, you
- 4:20have to commit to that. I am not letting anyone steal my
- 4:23sparkle, not for 5 minutes. Can they upset you?
- 4:26Can they anger you? Can they actually piss you off?
- 4:29Can you go into a place where you're just like, yes, but don't
- 4:33stay there long and get your sparkle immediately back.
- 4:36Figure out what's the strategy that you're going to use to get
- 4:39that sparkle back immediately so you don't have to stay hopeless
- 4:43and helpless in this. You can do it, I promise you.
- 4:47You just have to recognize it and pull it out and make sure
- 4:51that you say to yourself, Nope, my sparkle, my business.
- 4:54I'm in charge of it and I'm not letting that happen.
- 4:57End of story. So try it.
- 5:00Make a declaration going into the new year that this is part
- 5:03of what you want to own your sparkle.
- 5:06I know I'm going to because it's on mine all the time and I'm
- 5:09always working on it. And this year I have even more
- 5:11plans of how to hold it. So as I learn them myself, I
- 5:16will be teaching them to all of you.
- 5:18I hope you guys have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:21Bye.
