- 0:08Speaker 3: Castumes are character.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Buck, Mary Kill wide shot, two shot, close up. This
- 0:14Speaker 4: is on artists on artists on artists.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Do you know why they call it show business? I
- 0:19Speaker 1: always wondered that. Welcome back to artists on artists on
- 0:26Speaker 1: artists on artists. This week, it's biopic time and the
- 0:30Speaker 1: time of that biopic, Saint Patrick's Day, the setting a movie.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Yes, it's the time of the year once again for
- 0:40Speaker 2: the biggest holidays, celebrated by the fewest people.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Many people see Sat Patrick's Day as a day to
- 0:46Speaker 5: drink green beer and eat corned beef. But what about
- 0:51Speaker 5: learning about the reason for the season. These brave filmmakers
- 0:56Speaker 5: made a movie all about the legendary Saint Patrick himself.
- 1:00Speaker 6: Now get your whiskey, get your corn beef hash and listen.
- 1:04Speaker 1: In Hello, my name is ce Celia o'donald and I
- 1:10Speaker 1: played the romantic lead. I am an executive producer as
- 1:14Speaker 1: well on the film Luck Just Ran Out.
- 1:18Speaker 4: My name is Brendan McKinzie. I was a writer and
- 1:21Speaker 4: director on the movie, actually the writer and director. I
- 1:25Speaker 4: let the studio get to me. They had a lot
- 1:27Speaker 4: of writers come in, so I'm the writer and director
- 1:30Speaker 4: of Luck Just Ran Out. Originally just titled Saint Patrick's Day,
- 1:35Speaker 4: but they did change the title.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Oh Hello, my name is Duncan mcdougan, and I played
- 1:43Speaker 2: the miraculous Saint Patrick himself in the movie Luck Just
- 1:48Speaker 2: Ran Out, bow Down.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Thank you, great to see you.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Thank you, said Hi, I'm Tithany Bubble.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Great to have you here, Tiffany, thank you.
- 1:59Speaker 6: I played Saint Patrick's daughter, my daughter, my daughter, Yes.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I'm very excited to be here. And I'm also.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Your daughter, yes in real life, but in the movie
- 2:13Speaker 1: as well. And in the movie as well, I pushed
- 2:17Speaker 1: very hard to have my real child in the movie
- 2:20Speaker 1: because I believe that my real child is a talented actress.
- 2:24Speaker 2: You know, you were really pushing the line with a
- 2:26Speaker 2: lot of these things. I mean, for Saint Patrick to
- 2:29Speaker 2: have a love interest alone is you know, it's quite
- 2:33Speaker 2: crazy in the Catholic Church. But I've got to respect
- 2:36Speaker 2: Brendan's here. His masterpiece behind the camera and with the
- 2:41Speaker 2: pen in his hand, brought this movie to another level list.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I would never have.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Thought of it being oh thank you. Yes, well, you
- 2:49Speaker 5: know we've we've heard stories of Saint Patrick our whole life.
- 2:52Speaker 5: You know, when growing up, everyone tell the story Saint
- 2:55Speaker 5: Patrick's Day. You know, they don't celebrate Saint Patrick's Day
- 2:58Speaker 5: in Ireland the way they celebrated here in Wolston. I
- 3:01Speaker 5: remember I went to my first Saint Patrick, Saint Wilson.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I said, what's with all this? You know, green peer,
- 3:05Speaker 5: what's all this party?
- 3:06Speaker 1: And you know he's all that stuff.
- 3:10Speaker 5: We didn't even answer that in the film. I still
- 3:12Speaker 5: don't know, you guys know what all that stuff is?
- 3:14Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no no, that's not what the movie
- 3:16Speaker 1: is about.
- 3:17Speaker 3: That's not what man that the legend.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's not what what our Venerable Saint Patrick is about, either.
- 3:21Speaker 5: The Venerable Saint Patrick, Saint Patrick, the venerial Saint Patrick.
- 3:28Speaker 4: I loved him so much, and.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I think that he's he's he needed his story to
- 3:33Speaker 5: be told, you know.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yes, I did.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I feel like he's been beyond the grave just praying
- 3:38Speaker 2: for something like this, you know, I think so for
- 3:40Speaker 2: his for a story like this to come out like this.
- 3:44Speaker 4: People they don't say his name enough.
- 3:45Speaker 5: You know, people are named after him, cathedrals are named
- 3:48Speaker 5: after him, but there is no movie name after him,
- 3:50Speaker 5: and there still isn't. This one's called Luck just ran out.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Now this movie isn't named after him. It's his story.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It is quite a shame that we could not call
- 3:57Speaker 1: it Saint Patrick's Day, herd break, you know hard.
- 4:00Speaker 4: We tried.
- 4:01Speaker 5: We tried, but we didn't have the rights because there's
- 4:03Speaker 5: another movie named Valentine's Day.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Yes, and it was too close. The lawyers have decided
- 4:08Speaker 1: it was too.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Close, sort breaking.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Valentine, of course, is Saint Valentine who has a day
- 4:13Speaker 2: after himself, and Saint Patrick also has a day. Just
- 4:16Speaker 2: a little bit of trivia. That's kind of who.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I was on Saint Patrick's or But where is Saint
- 4:21Speaker 1: Valentine's biopic?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 4:23Speaker 6: Like, we tell the story of what the holidays behind
- 4:28Speaker 6: rather than tell the story of the.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Holiday, and we really tell the story specifically the moment
- 4:33Speaker 5: that Saint Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Right, I think we're on set and the holiday did happen,
- 4:39Speaker 6: and I don't think none of us even celebrated and
- 4:41Speaker 6: missed it.
- 4:41Speaker 4: We I woke up it was a frat day, you know,
- 4:46Speaker 4: Saturday combine.
- 4:47Speaker 5: It was a long.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Day for when we were doing the night shoots.
- 4:51Speaker 7: Right.
- 4:51Speaker 5: It was before the IAT you know, the strike, and
- 4:54Speaker 5: before they arranged the deal.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Living we really got away with the law was one
- 4:57Speaker 4: of many friturdays.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was exactly one year ago today, March seventeenth,
- 5:03Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. I believe that is when it happened.
- 5:06Speaker 1: That is when we missed it. That was the day
- 5:08Speaker 1: that we.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yes, that's true, that's all true.
- 5:11Speaker 5: You're really good with specific dates and facts and numbers.
- 5:14Speaker 3: That's my favorite thing.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I have a STEM major. I am a STEM major.
- 5:20Speaker 3: No, momm you were a STEM major.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:22Speaker 1: My background is in math and sciences. My brain thinks
- 5:25Speaker 1: in numbers. Acting for me is a series of gears
- 5:28Speaker 1: that are moving and moving and moving. People say that
- 5:31Speaker 1: acting is about connecting to the emotion, but I disagree.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I think it is connecting to the brain. It is
- 5:36Speaker 1: a series of equations that leads someone to cry. You
- 5:39Speaker 1: cannot cry just by asking yourself to. You have to
- 5:43Speaker 1: invent a series of different factors that will lead yourself
- 5:46Speaker 1: to tears coming out of your body, which, by the way,
- 5:49Speaker 1: is a chemical reaction from science. Okay, I'm sorry.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We are getting I feel like you film too.
- 5:58Speaker 5: I mean, you really see. What I I love to
- 6:00Speaker 5: say is that you know. My favorite kind of actor
- 6:02Speaker 5: is someone you can clearly see their acting process while
- 6:06Speaker 5: they're acting, and for you, I love to know that
- 6:09Speaker 5: they're working. I like to look at an actor and
- 6:11Speaker 5: I like to say say, oh, you're sweating because you're
- 6:14Speaker 5: I think it's good.
- 6:15Speaker 1: To watch an actor and go that looks hard what
- 6:18Speaker 1: they're doing. What they're that looks really hard to do.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And that's what it really came across as working with you,
- 6:25Speaker 2: even it was just crazy. I felt like every moment
- 6:28Speaker 2: I couldn't even talk to you. It's like talking to
- 6:30Speaker 2: Einstein developing his big equation.
- 6:33Speaker 1: If the performance is hard to watch, I say, give
- 6:35Speaker 1: that an oscar, and not hard to watch as in
- 6:38Speaker 1: the subject matter is difficult an emotional yes, not as
- 6:41Speaker 1: an emotional thing, as in looking at this person is
- 6:44Speaker 1: difficult to do. That's acting, YEA.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Do you have a favorite performance that you harken to
- 6:49Speaker 4: when you're acting.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:52Speaker 1: There was a a production of Hamlet in which the
- 6:57Speaker 1: guy from Big Bang Theory played Hamlet Sheldon. Sheldon was
- 7:01Speaker 1: his name.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Okay, continue, I'm interested in where this is going.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Where this was at a community theater group. We came
- 7:11Speaker 1: up at the same place Sheldon I were. And I
- 7:16Speaker 1: know that Sheldon has a real actor's name.
- 7:19Speaker 7: But I.
- 7:20Speaker 4: And we won't tell it to you.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Tell it to you because you should know him.
- 7:25Speaker 5: For you.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I think it's for you.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Jim Parsons watching I'll say it, Jim Parsons watching it.
- 7:31Speaker 2: That's where you got him. Playing Hamlet was early version
- 7:36Speaker 2: of Sheldon. He was trying out.
- 7:37Speaker 1: He wasn't quite Sheldon yet, he had not yet yet
- 7:40Speaker 1: been cast as Sheldon. We were both in the same
- 7:44Speaker 1: math classes and he and he played Hamlet with such
- 7:49Speaker 1: precision and mathematical accuracy that it was it brought tears
- 7:54Speaker 1: to my eyes in a way that I could not calculate.
- 7:57Speaker 1: And that was a big milestone for me in my
- 7:59Speaker 1: acting career. And it is something I talk a lot
- 8:01Speaker 1: about in my master classes. So I won't bore you
- 8:04Speaker 1: with the details.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Thanks so much. Yeah, you really. If this doesn't sell
- 8:10Speaker 5: the movie for you, I don't know what will really really.
- 8:12Speaker 5: I mean, imagine this performance. If you're here in the backstory,
- 8:15Speaker 5: imagine what you like on screen you go to watch
- 8:18Speaker 5: the movie.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I mean the location alone too. That for me was amazing.
- 8:22Speaker 5: We got to shooting Cardiff. We got to shoot at
- 8:23Speaker 5: a giant's causeway right and right in Ireland, beautiful.
- 8:26Speaker 4: On the coast.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Yeah, we're goulda build all these houses along the coast
- 8:30Speaker 5: to shoot there.
- 8:30Speaker 3: So chilly, really cool, I tell you, Oh, I was chilly.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Negative four degrees celsius to negative two degrees celsius was
- 8:39Speaker 1: the typical range.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Sure, I agree with Celsius. That's that's the thing I
- 8:42Speaker 4: do too.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like negative fifteen or twenty down there fahrenheit. Oh,
- 8:52Speaker 2: I don't think it's very night Selsius zero is thirty
- 8:57Speaker 2: two degrees. No, I don't. Okay, let's continue.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I want to talk briefly Brandon about your decision.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Brendan, it's Brendan. Br Brandon is British.
- 9:10Speaker 5: She just called that. She just only calls that other
- 9:12Speaker 5: guard Sheldon. I'm I'm happy as she got close. I'm
- 9:15Speaker 5: surprised she was on an opal letter.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I apologize. I know most actors buy their character names
- 9:21Speaker 1: and their famous character names alone because it is easier
- 9:23Speaker 1: to categorize in my mind. But anyway, Brendan. I was
- 9:27Speaker 1: very honored and impressed by your decision to include a
- 9:32Speaker 1: romantic lead for the Catholic priest. It was very impressive
- 9:36Speaker 1: because I personally have been searching for a Saint Patrick's
- 9:40Speaker 1: Day biopic vehicle for me to start in, and my
- 9:44Speaker 1: people constantly tell me that's not a good idea. That
- 9:48Speaker 1: movie doesn't have a role for you in it. You
- 9:50Speaker 1: are a forty two year old woman. Where would you
- 9:54Speaker 1: fit into that? And I just kept pushing and I
- 9:57Speaker 1: pushed and I pushed and I pushed, and I finally
- 9:59Speaker 1: met you.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Why before we move on to its is a great question.
- 10:02Speaker 2: More more so, why is this the vehicle you're dying on?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Because I know you're also a producer. You've misted a
- 10:09Speaker 2: lot of money into this.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Listen, My my, my, my, my family right right? I am,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I am, I am, I am. My. My family is
- 10:22Speaker 1: from Ireland and I have worked very hard.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Like roots in Ireland or they're actually from Ireland.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I am second generation American, uh person, and.
- 10:35Speaker 2: So your grandfather, maybe.
- 10:38Speaker 1: My grandfather was from Ireland, and so it is important
- 10:41Speaker 1: to me to tell my family's story. I conceived my
- 10:44Speaker 1: daughter here on Saint Patrick's Day, yay. And so that
- 10:50Speaker 1: is why my heart and my mind was compelled to
- 10:53Speaker 1: make this film. Anyway, I would love to know the
- 10:56Speaker 1: thought process behind giving Saint Patrick a woman.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Great I'd love to talk to you about it. Thanks
- 11:02Speaker 5: so much for asking me, and I can't wait to
- 11:04Speaker 5: answer it. So the thing about it is Saint Patrick. Obviously,
- 11:09Speaker 5: he was a Catholic priest. He didn't have a wife,
- 11:11Speaker 5: he didn't have any children. And I think the important
- 11:14Speaker 5: part for me is to show another side of him,
- 11:16Speaker 5: because all we know about him is, you know, he
- 11:18Speaker 5: loved God and he's really good at getting snakes to
- 11:21Speaker 5: go into the ocean. That's all we really know about
- 11:23Speaker 5: Saint Patrick. What exactly exactly? And and I don't want
- 11:28Speaker 5: to spoil the movie, but I thought it was really
- 11:30Speaker 5: exciting that he had a wife and a kid inside
- 11:32Speaker 5: his inside his brain, you know, and he thought it
- 11:35Speaker 5: was real. And then he drove all the snakes away
- 11:38Speaker 5: and he came back, and the and the children and
- 11:40Speaker 5: and and the wife was gone. And I thought it
- 11:43Speaker 5: was a spoiler for I didn't want to spoil it
- 11:45Speaker 5: about the at the end, I don't want to spoil it,
- 11:48Speaker 5: but I don't want to spoil it about at the end,
- 11:52Speaker 5: what happened was it?
- 11:55Speaker 4: They don't exist, So it's not a spoiler.
- 11:57Speaker 5: But the wife and and and the kid in the beginning,
- 12:01Speaker 5: it's face, it's not a spoiler.
- 12:03Speaker 4: It's just what happens in the movie.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It's not a spoiler. I agree, it's just simply the
- 12:07Speaker 1: end of the movie.
- 12:08Speaker 2: It's the biggest of the movie.
- 12:09Speaker 4: You know, no, no, no, no.
- 12:11Speaker 5: If you if you know the story, you know this
- 12:13Speaker 5: is Look, it's an action film, right, It's an action film.
- 12:17Speaker 4: So it's exciting. It's it's it's like a Boondocks Saints.
- 12:20Speaker 5: In the fifth century. That's what I was going for.
- 12:22Speaker 5: So the snakes are are a really crazy culture. You know,
- 12:26Speaker 5: played incredibly. I can't believe we couldn't get him, but
- 12:29Speaker 5: Alan coming playing all of the snakes umpah lumpa Tim
- 12:33Speaker 5: Burton style.
- 12:34Speaker 3: It was simply incredible to see He's amazing.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Face on top of the snakes super imposed. It was
- 12:43Speaker 1: not like a voiceover deal.
- 12:44Speaker 5: And we really did something interesting. We did actual snakes
- 12:47Speaker 5: with actual superimposed We kind of cut like like you
- 12:50Speaker 5: put together two pictures from a magazine's how it looks.
- 12:53Speaker 6: Because he filmed that at CBS Radford right here.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I've never been to Radford. I heard it's really nice.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I hear it's great for shooting movies. Radford. They've got
- 13:02Speaker 2: such good sitcom set. I heard they have a nice
- 13:04Speaker 2: New York back look.
- 13:07Speaker 5: I've heard that too. Yeah, I've heard a lot about it.
- 13:09Speaker 5: I heard you can go see where they shut Golden
- 13:11Speaker 5: Girls one of the parking lots. Yeah.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Well, I'll say to the audience listening, you know, this
- 13:16Speaker 2: isn't just your average movie. It's not this dramatic slow piece.
- 13:20Speaker 2: You know, this is not a biopic where a man
- 13:23Speaker 2: goes Japan and stands up to his lures. You know that.
- 13:27Speaker 6: No, you're riding a train, You're standing up on the
- 13:29Speaker 6: sides of it.
- 13:30Speaker 3: You go down that hill.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I have a train in the fifth century. Yep, I've
- 13:34Speaker 2: got I've got swords.
- 13:37Speaker 4: All of it's made a stake.
- 13:38Speaker 2: I've got tons of stuff. There's action, there's comedy, there's heartbreak,
- 13:42Speaker 2: and there's action.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Flights of fancy, right, I mean we already have like
- 13:45Speaker 5: a flight of fancy where there's a wife and I said,
- 13:48Speaker 5: how far can we go?
- 13:49Speaker 4: You know, we see we see him walking down the
- 13:51Speaker 4: streets of Edinburgh going to a fringe festival show, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 4: putting up a show just in Scotland, Just in Scotland, just.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Stopping over the favorite parts of the movie.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Amazing, you know, seeing I always liked it. I would
- 14:02Speaker 5: used to watch people do performances and I would think,
- 14:05Speaker 5: what was St Patrick's do if if he was given
- 14:08Speaker 5: an hour?
- 14:08Speaker 1: You know, yes, what would Saint Patrick's do if he
- 14:11Speaker 1: was on improv team?
- 14:13Speaker 4: What was St Patrick's do?
- 14:14Speaker 1: What would happen to him? That is a question that
- 14:16Speaker 1: I have analyzed and wondered many times. I was also
- 14:20Speaker 1: very impressed by the comedy gags that you mentioned, where
- 14:24Speaker 1: funny Saint Patrick's robe would just fly off with the
- 14:27Speaker 1: wind many times.
- 14:29Speaker 5: Really funny you did that really well? Your wiener was
- 14:32Speaker 5: no please, yes, the way your wiener was funny in there.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's the son seeing.
- 14:38Speaker 1: The penis and and nothing about it.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Nothing about it, nothing Patrick's penis.
- 14:44Speaker 2: And you know, I thought it was great because you know,
- 14:46Speaker 2: usually in those scenes they cover up and go oh mommy,
- 14:49Speaker 2: no I let it fly and went, well, looks like
- 14:53Speaker 2: my luck just ran out.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Yes, that was we used the title that's what we love.
- 14:59Speaker 3: It, and that the studios picked that.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Really really nice, and I want to talk about because
- 15:04Speaker 5: I had you as an actor and we've been working
- 15:06Speaker 5: on this for years. In Cecilia, you and Tiffany came
- 15:09Speaker 5: into my life and I love to talk about how
- 15:11Speaker 5: that happened. I love to it. Maybe Tihany can tell
- 15:14Speaker 5: the story about how we all came together, because that
- 15:17Speaker 5: is really when it all picked up.
- 15:18Speaker 1: The three of us would not have met if it
- 15:20Speaker 1: were not for Tihany.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Oh, it was me.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Well, what happened was I was studying at Burbank Lights
- 15:30Speaker 6: Camera Action Studio, and I was working on some scene
- 15:34Speaker 6: study when I met your daughter at the time.
- 15:39Speaker 5: My daughter, my daughter at the time no longer my daughter.
- 15:43Speaker 5: So sorry, it was amicable. We parted ways, but but
- 15:48Speaker 5: she was at the time she was my daughter.
- 15:51Speaker 1: It's a shame that you signed that paperwork that said
- 15:54Speaker 1: that she is legally no longer your daughter.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I was shocked when she wrote it to me. I said,
- 15:59Speaker 5: she into a specific lawyer. I thought, this is a tantrum,
- 16:02Speaker 5: this will go away. And and she was thirty five,
- 16:05Speaker 5: I said, I said, I said, you know, this isn't
- 16:06Speaker 5: going to happen again. And and she does.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Not have any legal like she is a full grown adult.
- 16:11Speaker 1: She is.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I mean, it was really insult to injury.
- 16:14Speaker 5: You know, it was ceremonial. It was I want you
- 16:17Speaker 5: to be clear, you're legally not my father anymore. It
- 16:20Speaker 5: was a lot of money and looping me in.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I mean, all I.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Meant to say is it was your daughter at the time.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Time, And so she's also that she's thirty five, but
- 16:31Speaker 2: she's studying there.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Yeah, she was at Burbank Lights camera actions to a
- 16:34Speaker 6: lot of adults do acting classes.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you should check it out. Yeah that's
- 16:40Speaker 5: the thing. Yeah, a lot of adults, a lot of adults.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Are you telling me adults do this?
- 16:46Speaker 3: Did you only learn as a kiddo?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:49Speaker 6: Anyway, So so I was there and we were doing
- 16:52Speaker 6: our daily check ins, and your daughter at the time
- 16:55Speaker 6: was talking about her life and she mentioned that her
- 16:57Speaker 6: dad was in Hollywood, and of course, so mym you
- 17:00Speaker 6: can tell. Yeah yeah, oh so sorry, damn it. So
- 17:03Speaker 6: you guys can tell. My mom is very just like
- 17:05Speaker 6: buy the book, do this, do this, do this. And
- 17:08Speaker 6: she's told me from a young age, since I wanted
- 17:10Speaker 6: to be an actor. She was like, find someone in Hollywood,
- 17:12Speaker 6: find someone, find someone and grab onto them, and I
- 17:15Speaker 6: grabbed onto your daughter at the time, and we started
- 17:18Speaker 6: hanging out that I met you, they were inseparable, and
- 17:20Speaker 6: then mom came to pick me up from a slumber party.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yo're thickest thieves. A slumber party. We just
- 17:27Speaker 5: I think you just stayed over after night at the bar.
- 17:29Speaker 5: You know she's thirty five. Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I think it was the summer, pretty at the bar
- 17:32Speaker 3: and it was in bright.
- 17:34Speaker 5: One at the time at the time. Yeah, yeah, and it.
- 17:36Speaker 6: Was just like Hollywood, Hollywood, and Mom just came and
- 17:39Speaker 6: you guys, I don't know what went on from there,
- 17:41Speaker 6: but you guys met and started like storyboarding or like.
- 17:44Speaker 4: What was I think within twenty minutes we were storyboarding.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yes, we had the genesis for this project immediately. Something
- 17:53Speaker 1: you should know about me is that I will bring
- 17:56Speaker 1: up Saint Patrick. Within probably approximately between seven and nine
- 18:00Speaker 1: minutes of talking to me, you heard of guards a situation.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Do you hear me speak and you see my Guinness
- 18:06Speaker 4: posters on the wall.
- 18:09Speaker 1: A thirty thirty seconds It would be thirty seconds to
- 18:12Speaker 1: realize that you were the person who was going to
- 18:14Speaker 1: make my movieing to make my vehicle Saint Patrick, and
- 18:18Speaker 1: well and.
- 18:18Speaker 5: That's what's amazing is that I had already had the screenplay,
- 18:21Speaker 5: and so we fused two of them together.
- 18:23Speaker 4: That's when the storyboarding came together.
- 18:24Speaker 1: And said, I don't even need to read it. Let's
- 18:26Speaker 1: just get to the board.
- 18:28Speaker 2: And I feel like I'll jump in here. The story
- 18:31Speaker 2: changed a lot from that point. Well, well we.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Don't have to. I mean, well, you know, you.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Know, I've been working and working on this character and working.
- 18:37Speaker 5: We've been working since college because this was the thing
- 18:39Speaker 5: that we've been working on since college, to college together,
- 18:42Speaker 5: to Trinity in Dublin. Oh my god, beautiful there.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Beautiful Rolling Hill Saints.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I made college.
- 18:48Speaker 3: You feel like you're representing like where your university?
- 18:52Speaker 4: I guess university.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Do you guys, like, do you guys feel like to
- 18:56Speaker 3: all of Hollywood?
- 18:56Speaker 6: Like because they're saying like like this is like the
- 18:59Speaker 6: first like big Irish movie that's like out.
- 19:04Speaker 2: The other ones.
- 19:04Speaker 6: No, No, they're saying that this is like the first
- 19:06Speaker 6: like Blockbuster, family friendly, like Irish story.
- 19:10Speaker 4: We're the first Irish people to ever succeed in Hollywood.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I believe that I am paving the way for many
- 19:18Speaker 1: Irish people. I believe that Little Girls will be able
- 19:22Speaker 1: to look at Saint Patrick's wife and know that they
- 19:25Speaker 1: could be something someday.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, mommy, yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 4: So yeah, So I mean we started it at a university.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yes, we met there and and I pitched this idea.
- 19:36Speaker 5: It was a gritgie film. It took place over.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Four hours when it was a drama, dark, dark, dark,
- 19:41Speaker 2: you know, not a lot of action and not a
- 19:43Speaker 2: lot of It was more about a man's discovery with himself,
- 19:46Speaker 2: and the snake was more of a metaphor for the
- 19:48Speaker 2: situation in Ireland.
- 19:50Speaker 6: The news idea was it to get your wee wee
- 19:52Speaker 6: out and make you trip into that funny line that
- 19:55Speaker 6: was mine.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I have a pinship for comedy. I analyzed the script
- 19:59Speaker 1: and I figured that there I was running some tests,
- 20:03Speaker 1: uh with regular movie. I was running some tests with
- 20:06Speaker 1: movies of a similar budget, and I found.
- 20:09Speaker 5: That there was what do you mean, Mom's.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Got our lab?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Well, when I watch a movie, it's a test because
- 20:16Speaker 1: I'm running through I am running calculations through my brain
- 20:20Speaker 1: the entire time. If a character says something that touches
- 20:25Speaker 1: me in an emotional way, that is a mathematical success.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And so yeah, so Cecilia comes on one day and says,
- 20:34Speaker 2: let's add the robe flying off and penis. It's gonna
- 20:38Speaker 2: touch everybody emotionally in a funny kind of way. And
- 20:41Speaker 2: I put up a fight arm for sure, because you
- 20:45Speaker 2: took our sides immediately. But that's fine, you know.
- 20:48Speaker 5: And we talked about this a lot, right, mate. We
- 20:50Speaker 5: had to talk about picking our battles. We had to
- 20:51Speaker 5: talk about we're getting made. And sometimes you would say, well,
- 20:55Speaker 5: we're getting made at what costs? What are we getting
- 20:57Speaker 5: made at this point? I remember you said that to
- 20:58Speaker 5: me once.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Joe, he's there. You know, there are so many stars
- 21:02Speaker 4: on the right side of the draft.
- 21:04Speaker 5: You know, the flipping the fuck is going on. You know,
- 21:06Speaker 5: you brought up a ship of theseus. You know, if
- 21:08Speaker 5: the ship is getting made, if every piece of wood
- 21:11Speaker 5: on a ship is replaced, is it the same ship?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Right?
- 21:13Speaker 4: That's how you say a lot.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you talked a lot about the ship of Theseus.
- 21:16Speaker 5: And I said, look, as long as that ship gets
- 21:18Speaker 5: me a lot of money, I'm all right.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It seems like it's the ship either way, Thank.
- 21:22Speaker 5: You, Tithany. And I said that I should you should
- 21:24Speaker 5: have been there when we were screaming at each other.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yeah, And This Ship is now available today March seventeenth,
- 21:30Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, out now on digital platforms, on demand,
- 21:33Speaker 1: and several theaters.
- 21:35Speaker 6: That's right, what's your favorite scene for people to see
- 21:38Speaker 6: you guys, I'll go for first. I love my monologue
- 21:43Speaker 6: when I'm in Daddy's brain and I get to talk
- 21:47Speaker 6: to Daddy and I say, get those snakes, Daddy, let's
- 21:49Speaker 6: play it.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Let's play it.
- 21:50Speaker 5: I love it.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Yeah, let's play.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I don't know how I'm going to take these snakes down.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Where's my daughter? Where's my wife?
- 22:05Speaker 7: Daddy?
- 22:06Speaker 6: Keep going, Daddy, you gotta get the snake, Daddy.
- 22:11Speaker 3: For the family inside your.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Patrick, please please, said Patrick, keep going, It's the family
- 22:19Speaker 1: inside your hair.
- 22:24Speaker 2: So that was just a sneak peek. I'll say a
- 22:26Speaker 2: couple of things. First, obviously, we had a very long,
- 22:35Speaker 2: lengthy battle to use the Lord of the Races music
- 22:39Speaker 2: we Want, we Want, sucking pet Jackson Sucke. Second was
- 22:47Speaker 2: the idea that the my daughter Big having an American accent.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I mean, we worked on your your Irish accent forever
- 22:55Speaker 2: and it just never came through.
- 22:56Speaker 6: So a certain subject for me, Oh yeah, just I
- 23:01Speaker 6: had I had a lot of trouble with the dialect.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I really did well.
- 23:05Speaker 2: It was really interesting because I felt, especially if we
- 23:07Speaker 2: watched that take, it was almost like you were that
- 23:09Speaker 2: was your attempt at an Irish accent.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's what happened. My onset dialect coach Paul.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Shout out to Paul. You tried your best, Paul. I.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Every time he had me do what you're doing.
- 23:23Speaker 2: With whole, I go, ease, don't to make fun of
- 23:26Speaker 2: my voice.
- 23:26Speaker 5: No, no, I'm just.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Talking about vowel sounds hole and I go like I
- 23:30Speaker 6: go wide when you go circular.
- 23:32Speaker 3: And that's just the way I was born.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I was born.
- 23:34Speaker 1: This all exhibited many symptoms of distress. When working with you,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I noticed.
- 23:38Speaker 2: This man was stressed out.
- 23:40Speaker 1: It is a It is a real shame that we
- 23:42Speaker 1: had to fifty one to fifty him. But he you know.
- 23:45Speaker 4: He had to commit him.
- 23:48Speaker 2: It was tough, but that's how it works. Like person, Yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 2: he started acting little Tiffany.
- 23:53Speaker 5: I also want to talk about all the hardship you
- 23:54Speaker 5: have gone through, the fact that you are an actor
- 23:58Speaker 5: in a movie and you were born with a clinically
- 24:01Speaker 5: large mouth. I wanted to bring that up.
- 24:04Speaker 2: You brought it up so tough to see an actor
- 24:06Speaker 2: in a movie and born with a clinically large mouth.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Tuny, my darling daughter. You also don't have to talk
- 24:11Speaker 1: about anything that you don't want to.
- 24:14Speaker 5: No.
- 24:14Speaker 3: I thank you, Brendan, Thank you Brendon.
- 24:19Speaker 6: I'm glad because a lot of people are like, oh,
- 24:22Speaker 6: you just got this movie because your mom made it.
- 24:24Speaker 6: But I also got this movie for representation for people
- 24:26Speaker 6: with big ass mouths.
- 24:28Speaker 3: You are seeing and you are love.
- 24:34Speaker 2: That is the correct is the correct verbiage to call?
- 24:39Speaker 2: Is it big ass mouth? Is that what?
- 24:41Speaker 3: That's what we call ourselves?
- 24:43Speaker 4: I hold you call yourself a bammer?
- 24:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Bammers?
- 24:47Speaker 2: You nite bammers.
- 24:48Speaker 1: We can't we can't say we cannot as as I
- 24:52Speaker 1: would say. I am a very thin lipped person. Obviously,
- 24:56Speaker 1: her father, my husband has the biggest mouth I've ever
- 24:59Speaker 1: se scene. It weighs as much as a car.
- 25:03Speaker 5: But what what part weighs the lips?
- 25:05Speaker 3: I have a now I have like a wide mouth,
- 25:07Speaker 3: and daddy has the entire thing.
- 25:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he's got he's got like a really heavy mouth,
- 25:13Speaker 6: has a rather heavy mouth.
- 25:14Speaker 4: What part is the mouth?
- 25:16Speaker 5: What are we weighing?
- 25:18Speaker 1: The mouth contains both the positive space of the teeth,
- 25:21Speaker 1: tongue and lips and the negatives.
- 25:25Speaker 3: And that's what puts me.
- 25:28Speaker 2: She's gonna take off.
- 25:29Speaker 6: No, that's it's true. Like thank you Mom for bringing
- 25:32Speaker 6: up these facts.
- 25:33Speaker 5: She always has an answer, Cecilia. If I bring something up,
- 25:35Speaker 5: she always knows the answer.
- 25:37Speaker 2: So I would say, uh, you know, one of my
- 25:40Speaker 2: favorite scenes in the movie was near the end, when
- 25:45Speaker 2: you know, the whole family gets reunited. But honestly, if
- 25:48Speaker 2: I'm speaking honest, it was one of the hardest days.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Was set on me. I found out you two had
- 25:52Speaker 2: been seeing each other basically since the beginning, and there
- 25:55Speaker 2: was some sort of family forming that I was not
- 25:58Speaker 2: aware of.
- 25:59Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I apologize for forming a family without your knowledge.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I just I mean, I thought it was you know,
- 26:05Speaker 2: it's just a little rude.
- 26:07Speaker 5: I just lost my daughter at the time at the time,
- 26:09Speaker 5: and it was really it was I was going through
- 26:11Speaker 5: a life and we obviously weren't speaking, you know as as.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Which is tough for me to not speak to the
- 26:18Speaker 2: director at all.
- 26:19Speaker 5: I regret that, you know, we were doing a lot
- 26:21Speaker 5: of the you know, I told my ad to speak
- 26:23Speaker 5: through a can that was connected to a string that
- 26:25Speaker 5: was also on set.
- 26:26Speaker 1: You had caught me at a vulnerable time in which
- 26:29Speaker 1: Teth and his father and I were going through a
- 26:32Speaker 1: bit of a divorce because he at the time had
- 26:35Speaker 1: like a really big mouth, and so he had to
- 26:38Speaker 1: go away for a while, and so.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I daddy's mouth was it hurt him, so he had
- 26:44Speaker 3: to go home.
- 26:45Speaker 4: It was hard to watch that.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I mean, I was the first of the time.
- 26:48Speaker 5: I was there when when when he came home and
- 26:50Speaker 5: it was so clear that he was well. His mouth
- 26:52Speaker 5: had gotten so big it was a problem, and he
- 26:54Speaker 5: had to go away to take care of it.
- 26:56Speaker 1: He had to go away to take care of it.
- 26:58Speaker 1: And so Brendan was there by time of need. And
- 27:02Speaker 1: we often spent time storyboarding in the trailers. Even after
- 27:06Speaker 1: the movie was we were almost done with it, and
- 27:09Speaker 1: we continued storyboarding because we knew that we could always
- 27:12Speaker 1: start again.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Storyboarding was over.
- 27:14Speaker 4: It's the way we was, the place we connected. It's
- 27:16Speaker 4: our love language.
- 27:17Speaker 1: It's our love language. It's the only way we can
- 27:18Speaker 1: call it.
- 27:19Speaker 5: Only be clear. Cecilia and I had in no way.
- 27:21Speaker 5: I don't think I've even hugged her in my life.
- 27:23Speaker 5: I don't touch her, I don't get near her I
- 27:27Speaker 5: we keep.
- 27:27Speaker 2: It, we don't.
- 27:28Speaker 4: We keep a distance, and and we find passion in
- 27:31Speaker 4: the storyboarding.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And I remember the storyboard you gave me for my birthday.
- 27:36Speaker 1: That was a scene of you hugging me, and then
- 27:39Speaker 1: a close up of meat smiling, a close up of
- 27:41Speaker 1: you smiling, and then a title card that said happy birthday,
- 27:46Speaker 1: and that touched me very deep.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Seen these storyboards, but they're just like everywhere. They're just
- 27:51Speaker 6: posted with little stick figures, like there's.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Not much to it.
- 27:55Speaker 1: No, we're not artists and we're not together.
- 27:57Speaker 3: They're drawn like little babies.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Than tethany.
- 28:02Speaker 1: That's inaccurate. You are my baby. I raised you anyway?
- 28:07Speaker 5: Are you day?
- 28:08Speaker 3: Am I dating?
- 28:09Speaker 6: Do you have at burbanks? Like camera action studios, they
- 28:12Speaker 6: tell us to be celibate?
- 28:13Speaker 5: You're not a minute?
- 28:16Speaker 2: Oh why am I?
- 28:17Speaker 5: Why am I worried about you? Silvega student, You're an
- 28:20Speaker 5: acting studio that tells you to be celibated.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I was sure to enroll my daughter in a celibate
- 28:24Speaker 1: acting studio. I know what happens in those things.
- 28:28Speaker 3: It helps us focus.
- 28:29Speaker 6: It helps us like when you eliminate sexual desire from
- 28:34Speaker 6: your vocabulary, you can suddenly see the world less like
- 28:39Speaker 6: an animal and more like a like a scientist.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, yes, and that's good for it.
- 28:48Speaker 6: I'm glad that I'm a scientist of humans, not one
- 28:52Speaker 6: of them.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Well, you are your mother's daughter, I think so. The
- 28:55Speaker 2: movie's great. Guys, definitely come out and see it for sure.
- 28:58Speaker 2: For sure.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Should we talk more about the movie?
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:02Speaker 5: No, movie that you didn't like shooting the whole time?
- 29:04Speaker 5: You want us to talk more about it.
- 29:05Speaker 4: I'm not fighting is.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Exhibiting symbols of distress.
- 29:12Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just saying, as.
- 29:14Speaker 1: An actor, did you find it difficult to tap into
- 29:19Speaker 1: I am talking to you as an actor, did you
- 29:23Speaker 1: find it difficult to tap into a beloved mythical figure
- 29:26Speaker 1: such as Saint Patrick? Was there a lot of societal
- 29:29Speaker 1: pressure on that?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Wow, that's a great question. Yes, it actually was very difficult.
- 29:35Speaker 2: But I found that for a while I was having
- 29:38Speaker 2: a mental talk, and then I went to one of
- 29:41Speaker 2: my favorite outlooks and the Griffith Park Observatory.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Los Angeles from Dublin. We shot the Giants Causeway in
- 29:49Speaker 4: Cardiff and you and Griffith Park.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yes, this was right in the middle of shooting. I
- 29:55Speaker 2: left for two weeks just to clear my mind because
- 29:57Speaker 2: I was struggling with a lot, but mostly the character there.
- 30:00Speaker 2: And I looked out and saw all these people, and
- 30:02Speaker 2: I thought, what if, you know, I just let it go.
- 30:05Speaker 2: I just let it go, and I became the character then.
- 30:08Speaker 2: And I looked at all of these tourists and I
- 30:10Speaker 2: saw them as snakes, and just as an experiment, I
- 30:14Speaker 2: just started screaming at them, get out a vast out
- 30:17Speaker 2: of here, stupid snakes. And you know, that was the
- 30:22Speaker 2: first step for me.
- 30:23Speaker 1: It's just and did they move?
- 30:25Speaker 2: They were scared, they ran, you know, Yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 6: You can see a little bit of what you just
- 30:29Speaker 6: did in that. That's like it seems like that was
- 30:32Speaker 6: the foundation of that climactic scene.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I remembering some Los Angeles lingo that made it into
- 30:38Speaker 1: that scene, and I.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Want to bring up to besides the Los Angeles lingo,
- 30:41Speaker 5: I think almost everything in that scene we kept from
- 30:45Speaker 5: the first draft we worked on. That was the that
- 30:48Speaker 5: was except for the little l a things you decided
- 30:50Speaker 5: to add on the day.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Which that scene is so.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Beth.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Some of the napkins on the table of moves. You
- 31:02Speaker 5: open your mouth so big, can I say that is that?
- 31:05Speaker 2: Okay?
- 31:07Speaker 4: Yes, So here's what happens in this scene.
- 31:09Speaker 5: You are standing on the cliff, the snakes are all
- 31:12Speaker 5: below ye, and you're screaming at him. You're screaming at
- 31:15Speaker 5: him to leave. And you compelled them with such energy
- 31:18Speaker 5: and pomp and and prowess and and poise that you
- 31:22Speaker 5: convince snakes.
- 31:24Speaker 4: To kill themselves. And that's.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Have had enough, Holier, Holier, Snakes be gone, bro. Why
- 31:38Speaker 2: don't you take Sepulveda and get lost, brother, because you're
- 31:44Speaker 2: not welcome here. You're not welcome in Ireland.
- 31:49Speaker 8: And it would be better, brother, dude, Laker fans, if
- 31:57Speaker 8: you killed yourself, then step one more time in the
- 32:02Speaker 8: beauty of Clark, Ireland.
- 32:05Speaker 7: I'm going to yield myself, good good, I will be
- 32:13Speaker 7: a tenants of the tree.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Hey, honey, I've done it. You've done it, daughter, I've
- 32:26Speaker 2: done it.
- 32:27Speaker 7: Yay.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Wait a second, why can't I feel your face?
- 32:35Speaker 4: I am alone, I am alone in.
- 32:38Speaker 2: The room, and old lazy here's the.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Cross smash cut, we see his grave blackout and now
- 32:47Speaker 5: I don't want to spoil anything, but that's how the
- 32:49Speaker 5: movie is. God, it's so good.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I believe that is a spoiler.
- 32:53Speaker 2: What you did, I'm telling you explaining playing the last
- 32:57Speaker 2: scene in the movie and then explaining exactly the.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Shop for sames of the movie.
- 33:01Speaker 4: There's like three and a half hours.
- 33:02Speaker 5: I even talked about the spoiler.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Is by definition, spoiling the end of a movie, and
- 33:07Speaker 1: you described the very final scene where it's going.
- 33:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good point, Oh, darling. I don't want
- 33:12Speaker 5: to say anything negatively. Fight.
- 33:15Speaker 4: No, no, no, we're not fighting. We're not fighting.
- 33:17Speaker 1: This is not a fight. This is a discussion.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Don't worry any second.
- 33:19Speaker 6: Now they'll take out their little markers and their paper
- 33:21Speaker 6: and they'll just go show you.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Let me show you all the movies in the middle,
- 33:25Speaker 5: because I didn't talk about all the things that happened
- 33:27Speaker 5: in the middle. I mean, we talked about a lot
- 33:29Speaker 5: of it, but spoiling. I think my favorite part to
- 33:32Speaker 5: the middle of the movie. You know, I don't really
- 33:34Speaker 5: like the ending. The middle of the movie is the
- 33:36Speaker 5: most exciting and I can't wait for people to see it.
- 33:37Speaker 5: And I won't tell you a thing about it.
- 33:41Speaker 1: We should we give them a hint.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Sure, he's trying to drive the snakes out of Ireland,
- 33:49Speaker 5: and he does a lot of things that don't quite work.
- 33:51Speaker 6: I'll say a couple of words, Alan Cummings yep, jaw
- 33:55Speaker 6: on the floor, yep, and it's not mine.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Oh well.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Also introduce Shammy the Shamrock, one of the funniest little characters.
- 34:04Speaker 5: You can buy your Rebel Wilson as Shammy the Shamrock.
- 34:08Speaker 5: You can buy her as all over the place. They've
- 34:12Speaker 5: made special vending machines where you can buy tiny little
- 34:15Speaker 5: things for a quarter of Shammy the Shamrock at bowling
- 34:19Speaker 5: alleys and roller rings.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yes, there are various different Shammy the shamrocks that you
- 34:26Speaker 1: can collect and add to key chains of sorts.
- 34:29Speaker 4: They're the new homie of sorts.
- 34:30Speaker 1: There's also we are expanding into the NFT market with
- 34:33Speaker 1: Shammy the Shamrock, and we are providing a lot of
- 34:37Speaker 1: introductory discounts for those NFTs. If you are interested in
- 34:41Speaker 1: investing in crypto currency that is something that you should
- 34:44Speaker 1: look into. You can go to Shammy the Shamrock, shake
- 34:47Speaker 1: dot com, backslash n FT for more information.
- 34:52Speaker 4: I have a Shammy with a little OI patch owner.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I have a Shammy with a hat on it, and
- 34:57Speaker 1: it looks just like me. It's my profile picture I have.
- 35:00Speaker 3: A shammy and her whole body is her mouth.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I have a shammy with a French flag. I didn't
- 35:07Speaker 2: understand that one. Really, Oh, you must have. You must
- 35:10Speaker 2: have got there late, probably the last one he had left.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Let me cake.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Sure, Well, I want to talk about Cecilia. What was
- 35:18Speaker 2: your favorite film?
- 35:19Speaker 5: Uh? Seen filmmy mommy?
- 35:23Speaker 3: What's your favorite movie?
- 35:25Speaker 1: All right? I will answer the first question, and then
- 35:27Speaker 1: the second, and then the third, which was a repeat
- 35:29Speaker 1: of the first question. The first question. The answer is
- 35:35Speaker 1: the minions. I believe that they are scientifically the purest
- 35:39Speaker 1: form of comedy. There is there is nothing that can
- 35:43Speaker 1: be done to them. There is nothing. They are not
- 35:45Speaker 1: espousing any views of any sort, they are not speaking English.
- 35:49Speaker 1: They are scientifically the perfect comedic vehicle.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I will say now that Shammy the shamrock makes a
- 35:55Speaker 2: lot more sense with how and the snakes. How the
- 35:58Speaker 2: snakes are actually funny the whole time, almost like Alan
- 36:02Speaker 2: Cummings doing a bunch of minions.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Yes, I did a lot of I'll tell you what.
- 36:06Speaker 4: There's a lot you didn't see between you and me.
- 36:08Speaker 4: There's a lot I got cut from this. No, this
- 36:11Speaker 4: is the stuff that I had to stay.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Are you fucking we need to have a conversation man.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Question number two, My favorite scene in the movie is
- 36:27Speaker 1: when Tethany and I are dancing inside your head and
- 36:33Speaker 1: we begin to tango because you have eaten some bad
- 36:36Speaker 1: mushrooms and you are starting to sort of have this
- 36:40Speaker 1: priest hallucination vision where you're talking to God. And in
- 36:44Speaker 1: that pure vision of talking to God, your wife and
- 36:47Speaker 1: your child are dancing in pure joy. And to answer
- 36:49Speaker 1: question number three, my favorite movie is The Minions.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Can I say I saw on Dancing with the Stars
- 36:55Speaker 6: they are recreating that dance, Mommy, they are.
- 36:58Speaker 5: They are the unreleased with Christiamagucci. I saw that.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Yes, Christie, I believe she will win. I've run the numbers.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I believe she has a good chance of winning this season.
- 37:14Speaker 5: Oh you run the numbers now on Dancing with the Stars.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I'd love to run that back. I feel like that's
- 37:19Speaker 2: a great promo because it doesn't really give anything away
- 37:21Speaker 2: the dance.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Great promo will play on a podcast.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Let's play it.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I guess we'll play the dance, just the dancing part.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Don't play any of the dialogue around it. I think
- 37:31Speaker 1: it would distract.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Great dud dunk.
- 37:49Speaker 5: Less I'm nineteen.
- 37:57Speaker 1: That was an incredible dance.
- 37:59Speaker 6: And I rarely get winded because my mouth is so big,
- 38:03Speaker 6: but I was winded during that.
- 38:05Speaker 5: You don't You can hear it a little easter egg too,
- 38:07Speaker 5: and you can't really notice this when you're watching. But
- 38:10Speaker 5: we could not edit out Cecilia dancing and counting her steps.
- 38:16Speaker 4: I should have known. She's a numbers based person.
- 38:19Speaker 5: I should have known that was gonna happen, but it
- 38:20Speaker 5: definitely made it look like she was working.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Like I apologize for that. I apologize for that. Dancing
- 38:26Speaker 1: is not one of my strong suits and so I
- 38:28Speaker 1: was trying to work with what I was given. But unfortunately,
- 38:31Speaker 1: when you were making a movie, you were miked.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I feel like you also couldn't cut out the soundbites
- 38:35Speaker 2: from The Lord of the Rings.
- 38:37Speaker 5: That's when you can really tell that we didn't even
- 38:39Speaker 5: buy the music itself. We just ripped it from a DVD.
- 38:43Speaker 6: I think I think I was there in the editing
- 38:45Speaker 6: room actually, because I was internship and I saw the
- 38:48Speaker 6: editor YouTuber converter YouTube heard her.
- 38:52Speaker 1: They were using YouTube to MP three dot.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Com, which is crazy fail. There's definitely there's definitely clean
- 38:58Speaker 2: versions of that song.
- 38:59Speaker 5: On YouTube. But yeah, he was so this was his
- 39:04Speaker 5: last movie, Shamous. I think Shamous Seamus o'finn again.
- 39:09Speaker 4: We're gonna miss him so much, so much. He worked
- 39:11Speaker 4: on so many, so many.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Short yet but on his way out.
- 39:16Speaker 5: No, no, no, he's alive at the time.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know, eventually, I think he's gonna yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yes, at the time, at the time.
- 39:22Speaker 5: He is alive at the time, at this current time.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Okay, here's a question that has been on my mind.
- 39:28Speaker 1: We have been working on this movie for a long, long, long, long,
- 39:32Speaker 1: long long time, approximately sixteen months. You are now done
- 39:37Speaker 1: with the movie. What are you doing next? What are
- 39:41Speaker 1: you doing to let off steam from the movie?
- 39:45Speaker 3: I'm dying to know what you're up to me.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Yes, well, you know, after this movie came out. You know,
- 39:51Speaker 2: we're really struggling in the press right now.
- 39:54Speaker 4: We came out today and we've got the immediate bad press.
- 39:57Speaker 2: People are angry. They're angry at me, they're angry at
- 40:01Speaker 2: you know, the director, very angry.
- 40:03Speaker 3: You think Irish people are angry.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Who's angry, very angry? Mostly Irish people are angry.
- 40:08Speaker 4: About this desecrations and Patrick's rolling in this grave.
- 40:11Speaker 2: You know, you know, the whole scene. We really went
- 40:14Speaker 2: for it in some scenes, which felt inappropriate at the time,
- 40:18Speaker 2: but you know, I guess inappropriate in hindsight, but at
- 40:21Speaker 2: the time they felt right on the money when we
- 40:22Speaker 2: were shooting it. So now I'm just in a legal
- 40:25Speaker 2: battle with a lot of people who are trying to
- 40:27Speaker 2: sue me for scaring them in the movie. And next up,
- 40:32Speaker 2: I'm actually shooting a great movie with Ken Jeong. We're
- 40:38Speaker 2: shooting a buddy Company, a buddy cop comedy. Oh yeah,
- 40:42Speaker 2: it's great.
- 40:43Speaker 5: Great to see him getting off Foxy, He's getting back
- 40:46Speaker 5: in movies.
- 40:47Speaker 2: He's great to work with it. I love Kenon.
- 40:50Speaker 3: You deserve that you had.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Well, A lot of the movie is just, you know,
- 40:53Speaker 2: because he is also a notorious actor who shows his
- 40:56Speaker 2: penis comically. So most of the movie it's called two
- 40:59Speaker 2: Naked Cop. Oh, and it's us just kind of flaunting
- 41:02Speaker 2: around accidentally naked and arresting people. It's great.
- 41:06Speaker 3: You really do.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Don't think I should get canceled for that one. I
- 41:08Speaker 2: think I'm gonna sail right through that one.
- 41:11Speaker 5: Yeah, sure, I don't know.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it looks like you're getting branded's approval.
- 41:15Speaker 5: I don't know. Do you want to be canceled.
- 41:17Speaker 2: No, no, never, what me never? I don't feed off
- 41:20Speaker 2: of that.
- 41:21Speaker 1: You are speaking as if you would like to be canceled,
- 41:23Speaker 1: even though you are giving off of the impression that
- 41:25Speaker 1: you don't want to eye.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I hate people hating me. I don't like that at all.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I don't like snakes coming for me.
- 41:31Speaker 6: Now that I think about it, it was this morning
- 41:33Speaker 6: on the email thread that you were like, guys, look
- 41:35Speaker 6: at all these bad reviews.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Omgomg Yes, I.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Said, omg, o MG, look at all these snakes coming
- 41:41Speaker 2: for us. Somebody needs to get rid of these snakes.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Oh, you're still in character almost.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Maybe I was never Irish. What Maybe I've been planning
- 41:50Speaker 2: to play this what Saint Patrick in this.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Movie all the time, But you went to university was rended.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Maybe I don't worry about it.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Maybe when I was sixteen, living into hunger, I came
- 42:03Speaker 2: up with an idea.
- 42:04Speaker 4: No, I'll moved.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Ireland, pretend to be Iron and act in a Saint Patrick's.
- 42:10Speaker 4: False false O false. He's trying to get canceled.
- 42:14Speaker 5: He's not happening.
- 42:15Speaker 4: He's Irish.
- 42:16Speaker 5: Okay, in I am doing it. I'm a panelist on a.
- 42:20Speaker 4: BBC quiz show called the question Daddy's.
- 42:25Speaker 5: So it's a weekly quiz show, and and and all
- 42:28Speaker 5: sorts of people come on and I have a question.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Is everyone who is a question daddy? A father?
- 42:35Speaker 4: It's mare had an open term?
- 42:37Speaker 1: Then why would they call it that?
- 42:38Speaker 4: Well, it's just a funny term, question daddy.
- 42:41Speaker 1: That is so misleading.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Have you seen these shows? They're absolutely boring, no comedy,
- 42:48Speaker 2: just learning facts.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Really, we sit.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Around and we talk about kind of somebody brings up
- 42:52Speaker 5: something interesting, a funny fact. You know, did you know
- 42:55Speaker 5: ducks have less feathers on their left side than the
- 42:58Speaker 5: right side.
- 42:58Speaker 4: We all kind of riff on it and a funny
- 43:00Speaker 4: So there is.
- 43:00Speaker 1: No element where anyone is winning any money for this.
- 43:04Speaker 1: No one is guessing.
- 43:05Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, it's somebody because you know this.
- 43:08Speaker 5: And we say, oh, well, well we didn't know that.
- 43:10Speaker 5: But here's something I do know.
- 43:12Speaker 2: That is most of the show. That is most of
- 43:14Speaker 2: those quiz shows out Honestly, you.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Can provide for yourself.
- 43:17Speaker 4: And I'm excited. I signed a twenty five year contract.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Oh my god, I don't know they make contracts.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Well, you know, after after all this work. I loved
- 43:25Speaker 4: making the movie, but I said, this has gotta be
- 43:27Speaker 4: my last one.
- 43:28Speaker 5: So I'm done with movies, and I thought this would
- 43:30Speaker 5: be a fun thing to do and and just to
- 43:32Speaker 5: have a you know, they.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Love to ras each other, and I know they're going
- 43:35Speaker 4: to be rasing me.
- 43:36Speaker 5: Oh you know, Oh this looks worse than Saint Patrick's day,
- 43:39Speaker 5: you know, and I'll say, oh, no, you know, all that's.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Just came out. You're already planning.
- 43:44Speaker 4: A future done, I just have done.
- 43:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:47Speaker 6: Gee, it seems like whatever you guys did to each
- 43:50Speaker 6: other on set will never be mended. And like you
- 43:53Speaker 6: really just you burn each other out, you two you boys.
- 43:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I love you and I love you and I
- 43:58Speaker 5: always will and I and I'm not burned out, and
- 44:01Speaker 5: I'm rooting for you and I'll come see you and
- 44:03Speaker 5: kN kin.
- 44:04Speaker 4: I love his work and.
- 44:05Speaker 5: I think he's just great. So I'm excited for you.
- 44:08Speaker 5: But and you can come on the question, Daddy's all
- 44:10Speaker 5: the time we.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Have thank you though, okay, wonderful, No, understand, Yeah, I
- 44:13Speaker 2: love you. I know it's brother.
- 44:15Speaker 5: I love you.
- 44:16Speaker 2: It's absolute brother, absolutely bro absolutely always.
- 44:18Speaker 4: We might we might hide each other, but we also
- 44:20Speaker 4: love each other.
- 44:21Speaker 5: You know.
- 44:21Speaker 2: You might not speak to each other ever again after
- 44:24Speaker 2: you know, you work on something for fifteen to thirty
- 44:26Speaker 2: years and then some lady comes in and changes the
- 44:31Speaker 2: whole thing. But your mother, you know.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I am sitting next to you. I can hear everything
- 44:38Speaker 1: you're saying.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Oh, Cecilia, what are you?
- 44:41Speaker 2: We've got a lot of love for each other, though,
- 44:43Speaker 2: don't we.
- 44:44Speaker 1: We have a lot of love for each other, but
- 44:46Speaker 1: it is waning because you were talking mean things about
- 44:49Speaker 1: me next to me. To answer the question that I posed,
- 44:54Speaker 1: I am retiring to fix climate change.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Oh wonderful for you, Cecilia.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I graduated with a degree in in in biology many
- 45:07Speaker 1: years ago, and so I thought that it would be
- 45:09Speaker 1: time for me to put that to use. I was
- 45:11Speaker 1: chasing this dream of being in a Saint Patrick's Day
- 45:15Speaker 1: biopic for many, many, many, many many years since before
- 45:19Speaker 1: Tetida was born.
- 45:23Speaker 6: Given name my birthname is her legal name, and I
- 45:26Speaker 6: could not go to high school being a Tatada.
- 45:28Speaker 3: So I quickly was Tethany.
- 45:30Speaker 5: I understand, I understand the problem with.
- 45:34Speaker 1: But she thinks it sounds too much like the fabric taffieda,
- 45:39Speaker 1: which is for girly girls.
- 45:42Speaker 3: And about like this is no girly girl, I'll tell.
- 45:46Speaker 2: You that, and I just would have said sorry. You know,
- 45:48Speaker 2: I'm sorry for saying all those things. I just I
- 45:51Speaker 2: feel like I'm reacting to the fact that I worked
- 45:53Speaker 2: on a movie for so long with people that are
- 45:55Speaker 2: just one in dunners. They both they did the movie
- 45:58Speaker 2: and they're out of the business.
- 45:59Speaker 1: You know, your pology is accepted, and I understand your
- 46:02Speaker 1: emotions and where they are coming from, and.
- 46:04Speaker 2: I understand you much more deeply than I ever have
- 46:06Speaker 2: after this whole thing.
- 46:07Speaker 1: You know, I am hoping that this press panel can
- 46:10Speaker 1: be an insight into the inner workings of my mind
- 46:12Speaker 1: that made it difficult to work with me on set.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Teta tho, why don't you tell everyone what you are
- 46:17Speaker 1: up to?
- 46:20Speaker 6: Actually, I just got certified as an Orange Theory fitness trainer.
- 46:28Speaker 2: That's fantastic. I did it. So you're out of the
- 46:30Speaker 2: movie business.
- 46:32Speaker 1: We are ecstatic for her.
- 46:36Speaker 4: You've been working so hard. We've been We've been pulling
- 46:38Speaker 4: all nighters studying and then working with.
- 46:40Speaker 5: You on it.
- 46:41Speaker 3: And I appreciated the home film. The whole film group.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Out and you all got.
- 46:47Speaker 5: Helping you out.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Every day at five am, and we worked on drills.
- 46:51Speaker 5: We had to push a set.
- 46:52Speaker 4: We had to push it one day because we because
- 46:53Speaker 4: you couldn't understand it.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Shooting a huge, huge walking talk took hours to set
- 46:58Speaker 2: that we pushed it to day.
- 46:59Speaker 5: We have to make sure you didn't know the difference
- 47:01Speaker 5: between an ACL and a hamstring.
- 47:03Speaker 4: We had to sit down to talk to you about.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Hello on a squat and a push up?
- 47:07Speaker 6: Okay, squad a bush up I figured out quickly. But
- 47:10Speaker 6: for someone with a huge mouth and AC on a
- 47:13Speaker 6: hamstring of the.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Exact same things don't matter when you've got such.
- 47:16Speaker 1: A big portion, None of the other body parts matter.
- 47:20Speaker 4: And this is normal mouth privilegion. I'm sorry for talking
- 47:22Speaker 4: about that.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Thank you so much, you guys.
- 47:24Speaker 6: I am so proud of our movie, despite any of
- 47:26Speaker 6: the shit you guys talked about it today. I am
- 47:29Speaker 6: so excited about it. The Burdbank Lights Camera Action Studio
- 47:33Speaker 6: is coming with me to go see it. We're all
- 47:34Speaker 6: gonna have a blast at the grove and well, the.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Question daddy's are throwing me apart.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Oh they are good.
- 47:40Speaker 4: We're gonna go see it with one of.
- 47:42Speaker 2: The other people on that show.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Oh we got Winston Williams. Of course, the famed comic
- 47:47Speaker 5: from from Aberdeen, Scotland. We've got Edgar rice Cake. He's
- 47:54Speaker 5: a really funny mine and of course weren't even speaking.
