- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:07Speaker 2: This week on the show, we gather four of the
- 0:09Speaker 2: most famous and popular traffic reporters and gather them around
- 0:13Speaker 2: to talk process.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Traffic reporters have been the number one reason why people
- 0:18Speaker 3: know there's traffic before Google Maps.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Now people don't need them, but that doesn't mean they're
- 0:25Speaker 4: not in the sky.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Whether they're just something to cut to to break up
- 0:30Speaker 5: the back and forth between the main guy, and whether
- 0:34Speaker 5: or whether they are providing actual information. We're going to
- 0:38Speaker 5: get to the bottom of it here today.
- 0:41Speaker 4: So let's check in to see what's bogged up. Let's
- 0:45Speaker 4: listen in.
- 0:49Speaker 5: Well, I'd say, on the way to the studio, I
- 0:51Speaker 5: experienced congestion on the southbound one oh one going from
- 0:56Speaker 5: Alvarado all the way up to Silver Lake Boulevard, clearing
- 0:59Speaker 5: up by the time time I got off on bent
- 1:01Speaker 5: and Way, but by the time I got here it
- 1:04Speaker 5: had already dissipated and should be a smooth ride.
- 1:07Speaker 6: As I parked my car.
- 1:08Speaker 7: I felt that too. You know, a man had run
- 1:10Speaker 7: on to the southbound one oh one wearing just his
- 1:13Speaker 7: boxer briefs and a can of soda in his hand
- 1:17Speaker 7: completely closed down three to five lanes cleared up about
- 1:21Speaker 7: one ten today, So my journey was still bogged up
- 1:25Speaker 7: from that, but then sorted out right at the end.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Similar thing happened today. Darren Day in Daytona reporting here
- 1:34Speaker 2: live from Florida. I came all the way here from
- 1:35Speaker 2: Florida today to come in here and come come to
- 1:38Speaker 2: the big Hollywood and talk about things. But I flew
- 1:39Speaker 2: straight on Delta Airlines, went straight through the flight.
- 1:43Speaker 4: It's no traffic in the sky. It's good. It's good.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Honestly, it's good to be It's good to be flying
- 1:48Speaker 2: sometimes as a traffic reporter because it's nice not to
- 1:50Speaker 2: see any traffic up in the sky.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Huh.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I have to disagree. I came from the Onueins and
- 2:02Speaker 3: I was not having a problem with traffic.
- 2:06Speaker 4: It's one of these MPR guys. Oh oh oh, you
- 2:09Speaker 4: take their time.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Sorry. I don't want to get in a fight with
- 2:13Speaker 3: you guys. But when I'm reporting traffic, I don't understand
- 2:16Speaker 3: what the rush is. The cars are still.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Oh, I get it. He's an artist.
- 2:21Speaker 7: There's a rush because you need to know which route
- 2:23Speaker 7: is the best route to take, and if you're going
- 2:25Speaker 7: to be running into traffic.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Quicker I go, the better an ad can fit in.
- 2:29Speaker 3: And the slower I go, the less, Lakshmi saying has
- 2:33Speaker 3: to speak. She's been on vocal rest for weeks and
- 2:36Speaker 3: I'm trying to help her out.
- 2:38Speaker 4: It's just getting report.
- 2:40Speaker 7: It feels like there's a five car pile up in
- 2:42Speaker 7: your vocal cords.
- 2:43Speaker 4: You're going so slow right now, now.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I'm being razzed. Looks like my attitude is taking a
- 2:48Speaker 3: U turn and driving right into your own face.
- 2:51Speaker 4: So be careful.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Oh, it seems like a four car pile up and
- 2:56Speaker 5: terrible accident and all the fallout, and they just exchange
- 3:00Speaker 5: information all the while you have yet to say a sentence.
- 3:03Speaker 4: That's how it's all out happened.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Well, well, it looks like we have sort of a
- 3:09Speaker 3: backup on you guys becoming my friends. Turns out that
- 3:13Speaker 3: it's at a standstill, and I suggest you take a
- 3:17Speaker 3: U turn because you don't want to get caught in
- 3:20Speaker 3: this mess, because I don't think I like you guys.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's looking like rain, So we're gonna move on from
- 3:26Speaker 2: this bit. Try to wash it down and see if
- 3:28Speaker 2: we could start from the beginning a new road.
- 3:30Speaker 4: A new template.
- 3:32Speaker 7: And now that we are a little bogged down, let's
- 3:34Speaker 7: go around and introduce ourselves to this wonderful podcast. Thank
- 3:40Speaker 7: you for having us. I guess you know box start.
- 3:45Speaker 7: My name is Trey Beans. I worked for k loos
- 3:48Speaker 7: and k r o Q kalos in front of the screen,
- 3:52Speaker 7: kr OQ behind the microphone. I give traffic reports in
- 3:56Speaker 7: the morning, in the evenings, and in the night. I
- 4:00Speaker 7: am beloved in LA. For Trey Beans is traffic reports.
- 4:05Speaker 7: And there's a bunch of sound effects that use and
- 4:07Speaker 7: oh getting a little information.
- 4:09Speaker 4: You guys are loving this, Okay, thank you.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I don't like your sound effect for pile up because
- 4:15Speaker 3: it sounds like a big, wet fark.
- 4:18Speaker 4: No, I'm really backed up.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Feels like an insensitive sound to hear if you were
- 4:23Speaker 2: a part of that pile up and loss.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And kind of maybe had a medical disaster.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Car crashes, as we know, have the potential to be fatal,
- 4:33Speaker 5: and so to hear that squishy fart sound would send
- 4:36Speaker 5: me over the edge.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I couldn't imagine losing a limb and then hearing that sound.
- 4:41Speaker 5: I do have to give you credit, though, the sheer
- 4:43Speaker 5: breadth of sound effects you have is absolutely gigantic.
- 4:47Speaker 6: What kind of soundboard are you using on that thing?
- 4:50Speaker 7: I've got a ten thousand Q soundboard. Anytime I want
- 4:53Speaker 7: to do a new queue, it's queued up and ready
- 4:55Speaker 7: to go for it.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Tray beans, traffic report what.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, sexual a little bit too.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I don't like that. Unless hates it. Do you press rugs?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Are you were you with a producer directly or are
- 5:07Speaker 1: you using the buttons just on you?
- 5:09Speaker 4: Because I used to.
- 5:10Speaker 7: I used to work with a producer, but now that
- 5:13Speaker 7: the layoffs have started, I now run my own soundboard,
- 5:16Speaker 7: and sometimes I miss up the queues.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I don't like your sound. Cute for a man about
- 5:21Speaker 4: to jump off bridge?
- 5:22Speaker 7: Uh? Just hear at the two South Freeway heading south
- 5:25Speaker 7: down there's a man on the overpass, went the one
- 5:28Speaker 7: thirty four or two the two about to jump off.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Oh no, I'm fooling. I'm fooling.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Oh no, it feels homemade. It feels like you made
- 5:38Speaker 3: it yourself.
- 5:42Speaker 1: It's my favorite.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Is your amber alert sound? Amber alert? I'm missing, I
- 5:51Speaker 4: wind up, I'm missing. I love that sound.
- 5:57Speaker 7: That is a good all right, that is do what
- 6:00Speaker 7: you can do, entertain the people for the traffic, which
- 6:03Speaker 7: is usually pretty dry people.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Just want the information.
- 6:05Speaker 7: I'm interested in what you guys do after you introduce
- 6:07Speaker 7: yourself to lighten up the load and make people on
- 6:10Speaker 7: their journey to wherever they're going feel like they're in
- 6:13Speaker 7: good hands.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Well go ahead.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Well go ahead, go ahead, I will. That is exactly
- 6:21Speaker 5: something that I am willing to do.
- 6:23Speaker 7: Hi.
- 6:23Speaker 5: My name is Denise car I am a traffic reporter
- 6:28Speaker 5: for k CAL nine.
- 6:36Speaker 4: An absolute for the job.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Baby, I have heard all the jokes. I've heard all
- 6:41Speaker 5: the jokes, so you can't get me. I know that
- 6:44Speaker 5: I do a good job. And yes, while my NEPO
- 6:47Speaker 5: does give me insight into this industry, and I come
- 6:52Speaker 5: in with a pre existing knowledge, that does not.
- 6:54Speaker 6: Dispute the fact that I am good at what I do.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Uh.
- 6:58Speaker 6: I used to be an auctioneer.
- 7:01Speaker 5: I used to be selling weird little trinkets to old
- 7:05Speaker 5: men and I would auction them.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Is that I'm missing? That sounds like you've actually found
- 7:18Speaker 4: yourself in dungeon play and came first. The trinkets are
- 7:21Speaker 4: the old men. U so I look.
- 7:24Speaker 5: I maybe perhaps I'm generalizing, but the kind of stuff
- 7:28Speaker 5: that old men wish to buy that they can't find
- 7:31Speaker 5: on eBay is just kind of stuff that I don't
- 7:33Speaker 5: really understand. It's sort of old Civil War coins, or
- 7:38Speaker 5: old watches, or old pirate ship mass headings. It's stuff
- 7:44Speaker 5: like that that simply does not appeal to me. But boy,
- 7:47Speaker 5: did I know how to auction them off.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Now.
- 7:50Speaker 5: I cut my teeth in that for a little bit
- 7:51Speaker 5: before k CAL nine, one of the old men who
- 7:53Speaker 5: works there spotted me while he was trying to buy
- 7:57Speaker 5: an old Spanish mendallion.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The CA nine guy gotcha nine.
- 8:04Speaker 4: One of the old men.
- 8:05Speaker 3: As you all know in the industry, they're k CAL
- 8:08Speaker 3: nine is run by nineteen old men.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Ninety men. You catch all of Yeah, they're kind of
- 8:14Speaker 4: a hive mind.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Head to the golf course in Loca Yata. You should
- 8:17Speaker 5: be able to catch one of them.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Should be called k Calvin nineteen. Boom ja booom.
- 8:24Speaker 6: Cha budoom cha baoom jaw.
- 8:26Speaker 5: So then I basically became the traffic reporter go to
- 8:30Speaker 5: guy because I know how to fill time. I could
- 8:33Speaker 5: fill time like nobody's business. And that's what I've done.
- 8:37Speaker 5: And on my days off, I am a mother.
- 8:43Speaker 4: You're a guy who's the mother, Denise.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I want to give you a shout out as well,
- 8:48Speaker 3: because Denise people might not know this. Denise holds the
- 8:51Speaker 3: Guinness Book of World Records for speaking the longest without
- 8:55Speaker 3: saying anything.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I said, it's true. I once I'm on a broadcast.
- 9:03Speaker 5: K CAL nine had me locked on. Both of the
- 9:06Speaker 5: head anchors went down at the same time with a
- 9:10Speaker 5: terrible virus, and they needed me to fill. They just
- 9:14Speaker 5: send me the signal, you know, fill, stretch, stretch, and
- 9:17Speaker 5: I filled for nine hours and fifteen minutes.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Were retired, Denise were retired.
- 9:24Speaker 6: You know, it comes in peaks and waves.
- 9:26Speaker 5: I would start to get tired, and then as soon
- 9:28Speaker 5: as my eyes would flutter down, I would jump myself
- 9:32Speaker 5: awake with a new factoid about my life.
- 9:35Speaker 6: And you know, sometimes I will be honest.
- 9:38Speaker 5: I had to start getting once I ran out of
- 9:40Speaker 5: stuff to say about the traffic, I had to start
- 9:42Speaker 5: getting personal. I had to start saying stuff about my
- 9:44Speaker 5: personal life, the troubles I was having in my relationship,
- 9:48Speaker 5: and to be honest, some of it was too much information.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You did say a lot right there and not a lot.
- 9:54Speaker 7: Yes, felt like we were right there in nine hours. Also,
- 9:57Speaker 7: crazy news that they would go on for nine hours
- 10:00Speaker 7: seems like it was running into two and a half
- 10:03Speaker 7: men today at Kekel nine. Stick around after the traffic
- 10:06Speaker 7: report for a nice two and a half men and.
- 10:09Speaker 6: A half men. I cannot show.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I cannot wait to talk about how we now have
- 10:14Speaker 3: to plug products. I thank god Seattle's best coffee sponsors
- 10:19Speaker 3: my traffic report, why we need HI. My name is
- 10:25Speaker 3: Don Gripes, and I work for NPR.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Gripes with the gripe with traffic I have gripes.
- 10:33Speaker 3: With it is actually ironic. My last name is gripe
- 10:38Speaker 3: because traffic gives me joy. I am someone who likes traffic.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I like a moment in my day that is not
- 10:48Speaker 3: my fault that I get to relax, I get to stop.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I get to be grateful for the things I have
- 10:54Speaker 3: in my life. I get to be grateful that I'm
- 10:56Speaker 3: not the reason there is traffic.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Something I will say about you is you're kind of
- 11:00Speaker 7: doing an Andy Rooney thing with your traffic reported talking
- 11:03Speaker 7: about the traffic, about how much it brings you joy,
- 11:05Speaker 7: and then bring up something that doesn't bring you joy
- 11:07Speaker 7: and that you're having a gripe with.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yes, I will say that, and sometimes I will talk
- 11:12Speaker 3: about how there is I was actually speaking the other day.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I'm cracking up thinking about this. I was speaking about
- 11:21Speaker 3: how there was an overturned eighteen wheeler on the two
- 11:25Speaker 3: and traffic was at a standstill for about four and
- 11:28Speaker 3: a half miles. And you know what else is at
- 11:31Speaker 3: a standstill? My metabolism Right now, if I eat a cupcake,
- 11:37Speaker 3: you can see that in my thighs for a battle week.
- 11:41Speaker 3: It's interesting how our bodies change, and it's interesting how
- 11:45Speaker 3: you have to react quickly with your habits. I recently
- 11:50Speaker 3: found out that my triglycerides were high, and that is
- 11:55Speaker 3: something I've had to come to terms with and brought
- 12:02Speaker 3: to you by Hostess cupcakes. What's that fite? Gotta be
- 12:08Speaker 3: a hostess?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Wow, that's really good work.
- 12:11Speaker 6: That's really gotta be a host Do.
- 12:13Speaker 4: You read copy for the ads?
- 12:15Speaker 3: Are you just going off the cup I will not
- 12:18Speaker 3: read copy. I read the highway I first of all.
- 12:23Speaker 3: And because we're in PR, there have been budget cuts.
- 12:26Speaker 3: I am the only one here who actually has to
- 12:29Speaker 3: fly the helicopter that's been reporting out of It is
- 12:32Speaker 3: overwhelming and stressful sometimes to do both.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I got a lot of things going on, But that's
- 12:37Speaker 4: n PR for you. I mean that is NPR.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Oh boy, oh boy, I know a thing or two
- 12:42Speaker 2: about that, and that it's the radio. Hello, I'm Lauderdale, Canada.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I am here reporting live from the helicopter.
- 12:49Speaker 4: What can I say?
- 12:51Speaker 1: I'm a lesbian who loves helicopters.
- 12:53Speaker 3: That's definitely something you could say.
- 12:56Speaker 4: What else could you?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Man who loves helicopters. I'm always leaping with a helicopter,
- 13:04Speaker 2: fly flyer or somebody like that. I love them. I
- 13:07Speaker 2: love being in a helicopter. That makes something about it
- 13:10Speaker 2: makes me so happy. I run the fan duel traffic reports.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Yes, now, you can bet on the traffic.
- 13:19Speaker 2: You can bet on the traffic, that's for sure. You
- 13:21Speaker 2: can bet if in Daytona it may rain. We gotta
- 13:24Speaker 2: pile up on four oh five? Can I get five
- 13:26Speaker 2: dollars five.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Dale?
- 13:30Speaker 5: Every state has its own four oh five as we go.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Now, you're the only traffic reporter here here who is
- 13:36Speaker 3: also a bookie, which I think is very cool.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Yeah, and you're you're you are live within the broadcast
- 13:43Speaker 5: telling people to who owe you money that they need
- 13:46Speaker 5: to cough up.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, come on now, listen, we got we got
- 13:51Speaker 2: pile up on the pH and I'm looking for money
- 13:53Speaker 2: from at frog Store two nine. I'm looking for two
- 13:55Speaker 2: thousand dollars. You owe me two thousand dollars from the
- 13:57Speaker 2: Rams game. We have a pile up here northound side,
- 14:03Speaker 2: would pile up on the northbound side. And I'm looking
- 14:05Speaker 2: for a bunch of women who owe me money. And
- 14:07Speaker 2: that's because of something else.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Ah.
- 14:08Speaker 3: I have a cousin in Miami who told me that
- 14:12Speaker 3: they have a neighbor that owed you some money.
- 14:16Speaker 4: You have a cousin who has a neighbor, yeah, in Miami.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Well, and this is traffic report stuff. So I said,
- 14:23Speaker 3: you must get a kick out of this. His neighbor
- 14:26Speaker 3: owed you money. And my cousin could hear your trapper
- 14:30Speaker 3: above his house for about a week.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Oh man, we do spun stuff like that. Yeah, you
- 14:35Speaker 4: chase people down with your helicopter.
- 14:36Speaker 3: We go.
- 14:36Speaker 1: We are above your house because we're not.
- 14:40Speaker 4: We're here for the money.
- 14:41Speaker 2: We're here for the money, you slime bags, skunk, We're
- 14:46Speaker 2: here for the fucking money. And if you don't and
- 14:51Speaker 2: there's no traffic here on your twenty fourth street, but
- 14:54Speaker 2: we're up above causing traffic because you owe me fucking
- 14:57Speaker 2: five hundred dollars.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Skag. Scuck must be.
- 15:00Speaker 5: He's so scary to have the helicopter wearing so loud
- 15:03Speaker 5: above your home.
- 15:05Speaker 2: We let you owe that copter money, and god forbid
- 15:08Speaker 2: you have a satellite.
- 15:09Speaker 4: We will take that shit down. We will take that
- 15:12Speaker 4: shit down. Satellite dishes, Oh yeah, dishes, People still have those.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess you can't land on a satellite dish,
- 15:19Speaker 5: that's true.
- 15:20Speaker 2: No, but we'll take it down. We're ripping people's satellite
- 15:24Speaker 2: dishes off. Listen, I'm dating so many different helicopter flyers copters.
- 15:29Speaker 7: Pilot island is the word I was looking for.
- 15:34Speaker 4: And there was a short flyer is a thing a
- 15:37Speaker 4: four year old.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Sorry, there was a little bit of a brain fart
- 15:40Speaker 2: on the south bound.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Of my brain in an accident Amber alert. There's an
- 15:45Speaker 4: old woman missing. I'm missing.
- 15:50Speaker 7: Oh sorry, I don't mean to interrupt him. Just getting report.
- 15:54Speaker 7: One thirty four east bound has closed down. A dog
- 15:56Speaker 7: has gotten into a car, driven it backwards under the freeway,
- 16:00Speaker 7: injuring multiple cars, injuring the car.
- 16:03Speaker 5: I am seeing that the dog has slammed its way
- 16:07Speaker 5: into multiple cyber trucks and now is doing a spin
- 16:11Speaker 5: out in the freeway.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Looks like a postmate's coco has run into that car
- 16:16Speaker 2: that was injured, and now the coco is flying through
- 16:20Speaker 2: the air.
- 16:21Speaker 4: This justin.
- 16:22Speaker 3: A cat on a motorcycle has come after the dog
- 16:25Speaker 3: in a car. It looks like there might be some
- 16:27Speaker 3: all out street brawl reports coming soon.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Yes, just big Peacock has entered the fray and it
- 16:35Speaker 5: seems like he's aligning himself with the dog. Now should
- 16:39Speaker 5: we see who aligns himself with the cat. We'll figure
- 16:42Speaker 5: that out.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Peacock Ponies. All episodes out now on.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Peacock Ponies out now on Peacock Haylee Richardson, you owe
- 16:55Speaker 2: me five grand Wow.
- 16:58Speaker 4: That was fun. That was It was fun. That was fun.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Oil Dynasty Timebriter Studio. It's for Lauderville, Canada.
- 17:06Speaker 6: It is Denise Car and it's tray Beans.
- 17:15Speaker 1: It's good to be around.
- 17:16Speaker 4: I can't do this.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I can't do this when I go out to lunch
- 17:18Speaker 1: or when I go out to dinner.
- 17:19Speaker 3: When I my voice, they yeah, I h They put
- 17:24Speaker 3: an embargo on me speaking at all family events.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I like doing speeches and it's and it always just
- 17:29Speaker 2: takes the air out of the room. My daughter graduated
- 17:32Speaker 2: from high school and I said Can I do a speech?
- 17:34Speaker 4: Can I do a speech? How did the administration respond?
- 17:50Speaker 4: I to do it live from a copter above? Sure,
- 17:53Speaker 4: because I wanted to. I didn't feel right to do it. Standing.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Can you guys speak? Do public speaking?
- 17:58Speaker 7: Tough for me to not start commenting on how the
- 18:01Speaker 7: flow of the event is going.
- 18:04Speaker 5: I tried to do that when I renewed my vows
- 18:06Speaker 5: and it was so it's it's difficult to focus.
- 18:10Speaker 6: You can't turn this part of your brain off.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I hate to say this, but I ruined my mother's funeral.
- 18:15Speaker 3: No I did. I said, Oh, traffic, the coffee traffic.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Is backed up all the way down the aisle. My
- 18:25Speaker 4: mother's couldaver is at the forefront of it, at a
- 18:29Speaker 4: complete standstill. Hard just call your mother's body of cadaver.
- 18:32Speaker 4: But that's how you agreeth.
- 18:39Speaker 6: Car pile up it my mother's could ever.
- 18:43Speaker 4: My oldest daughter is getting married.
- 18:45Speaker 2: There's a big pile up of bridesmaids in ugly pink
- 18:48Speaker 2: at the in the middle of the aisle.
- 18:49Speaker 3: I must say too, it must be difficult for all
- 18:52Speaker 3: of us to go into a grocery store, considering there's
- 18:55Speaker 3: a microphone just over and start.
- 18:58Speaker 7: Recording there is a two person pile up, a news
- 19:03Speaker 7: that a two year old without a diaper has been
- 19:05Speaker 7: running around the cereal section knocking over cereal. I'd avoid
- 19:10Speaker 7: that aisle if you can for the next twenty minutes
- 19:13Speaker 7: as people clear it up.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Looks like we have a three person line at the
- 19:16Speaker 2: balloon station because it looks like it's Father's day.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Dad's a grad. That's a grad. Yeah, dad's grads. Three
- 19:23Speaker 4: people on the balloon Stah.
- 19:30Speaker 7: Looks like there's a little bit of a backup near
- 19:33Speaker 7: the deli section there.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I've gotten a little confused.
- 19:35Speaker 7: An old woman has lost her number, and now she
- 19:37Speaker 7: is begging people to skip the line because she has
- 19:40Speaker 7: a luncheon to get through.
- 19:41Speaker 2: The amount of times my daughter wants to go to
- 19:43Speaker 2: In and Out and I go, don't get me in
- 19:44Speaker 2: that driveway because I am going to.
- 19:48Speaker 4: About it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: A pile after pile up after pile up after pile up.
- 19:52Speaker 5: It is ten car pile up at the Burger place
- 19:55Speaker 5: and we are never getting out of here.
- 19:58Speaker 7: It's been an animal st flood in the parking lot
- 20:02Speaker 7: of In and Out. Boy has dropped his animal style
- 20:05Speaker 7: fries all over the front seat of a car. A
- 20:08Speaker 7: mid reverse so they have blocked off most of the
- 20:10Speaker 7: parking lot.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I would not go there for a lunch. I would
- 20:13Speaker 4: like to ask a question, now.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah, do you guys get respect from the other reporters
- 20:21Speaker 3: at your workplace? Do they see your job as one
- 20:26Speaker 3: that is of note? Have you gotten problems?
- 20:29Speaker 2: I've never looked a weatherman in the eye. I don't
- 20:32Speaker 2: trust him as far as I could throw them. I
- 20:34Speaker 2: have beef with the weather man as well. I think
- 20:37Speaker 2: that they think our job is not as important. And
- 20:41Speaker 2: I think that some people think that both of those
- 20:44Speaker 2: jobs could kind of be won, because when you think
- 20:47Speaker 2: about it, it's the weather and the cars are kind
- 20:50Speaker 2: of part of what's gonna.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Affect your mind. Sorry, you're wrong.
- 20:54Speaker 7: And eighteen wheeler flipping over does not create the thunderstorm.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I know.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I have heard that there's thunder inside the truck. There's
- 21:02Speaker 3: a chance that it has gotten.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Out every once in a while.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I've heard why don't you two carpool and I go, sir,
- 21:07Speaker 2: I cannot do that. The weather guy's got so many computers,
- 21:11Speaker 2: and I like to spread out.
- 21:13Speaker 7: Cannot stand these weathermen bringing all their computers in and
- 21:15Speaker 7: out of work and.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Work.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I find it shockingly ironic that they sit on their computer,
- 21:21Speaker 3: look at the Doppler system and tell me what the
- 21:23Speaker 3: sky looks like. Mean, while I am in the sky
- 21:26Speaker 3: rain my ass, Darryl, I do not see it, and
- 21:30Speaker 3: I am here in it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I'll see it before you do, Darryl. That's because you're
- 21:34Speaker 2: down there. I'm up here.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I could do it.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Oh it's for Laudavil, Canada.
- 21:41Speaker 3: I could do your job, and I literally am. But
- 21:43Speaker 3: I'm keeping it to myself because I'm a good boy.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Darryl.
- 21:46Speaker 2: My eyes aren't up there, they're down here. I'm looking
- 21:49Speaker 2: at what you're sitting in your own shit, Darryl.
- 21:53Speaker 4: I can't believe you also have a Daryl. Are your
- 21:56Speaker 4: weather men's Darrel's Darryl.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Rain's is Darryl Tornado?
- 22:02Speaker 4: Who really extreme? Darryl Tornado?
- 22:04Speaker 6: Ye, I hate it's weird for Los Angeles. It's weird
- 22:07Speaker 6: for Los Angeles.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I don't like that some of the news anchor ladies
- 22:12Speaker 2: will come up to me at the holiday party and go,
- 22:14Speaker 2: I barely get to talk to you. You're only on
- 22:15Speaker 2: for thirty second increments every other hour. I go, it's
- 22:18Speaker 2: not the size, honey. Get your head out of the
- 22:20Speaker 2: size Queen.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Well, it is really tough.
- 22:22Speaker 6: Get your head out of the size Queen.
- 22:25Speaker 1: We have signs of reporting we do. It's the quality, eh.
- 22:28Speaker 5: It's the It's exactly it is, how you use it.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Couldn't have said it better myself. I would say it
- 22:33Speaker 5: does cause some issues when we have an annual office
- 22:37Speaker 5: Secret Santa, because the other people don't feel like they
- 22:40Speaker 5: know me at all, because I'm always in the sky,
- 22:43Speaker 5: and so if i get somebody who's a main anchor,
- 22:46Speaker 5: I'm just kind of guessing I'm getting them a fifty
- 22:49Speaker 5: dollars gift card to Sephora, and I'm calling it a day.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I will say, one of the most heartbreaking things, and
- 22:55Speaker 3: this is one of my gripes, is when you receive
- 22:57Speaker 3: a Secret Santa gift that makes it clear that the
- 23:00Speaker 3: doesn't know you very well.
- 23:01Speaker 7: One of the worst feelings in the world. Traffic reporter
- 23:04Speaker 7: can go through.
- 23:05Speaker 3: A couple of things that I've received, Reese's peanut butter cups,
- 23:09Speaker 3: a bunch of them.
- 23:10Speaker 4: You do not know me.
- 23:13Speaker 6: You do not know me.
- 23:14Speaker 5: You know what I got last year was a big
- 23:17Speaker 5: allan wrench set.
- 23:20Speaker 6: Wrenches. You do not know me.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Give my card to a grocery store.
- 23:24Speaker 1: You do not know me. A Burke Williams cubon. You
- 23:30Speaker 1: do not know me.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Well, that's just rude. That's not even a gift. They
- 23:33Speaker 4: didn't pay any money for that.
- 23:35Speaker 5: You do not know me, unscented candle, you do not
- 23:38Speaker 5: know me.
- 23:40Speaker 4: The other week guy got the other week the other week.
- 23:42Speaker 4: The other week I.
- 23:42Speaker 7: Got hot wheels, and I said, I'm not a car guy.
- 23:45Speaker 7: I just report on them.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, when they give you, well.
- 23:49Speaker 6: It seems like to be honest, they tried to know you.
- 23:52Speaker 4: They didn't and they hate me and I hate them.
- 23:57Speaker 7: We eat, we eat the chisel, little squeeze.
- 24:01Speaker 4: What is that for that? That's a tire that has
- 24:05Speaker 4: flown off a car. Oh, that's so sad. I got
- 24:08Speaker 4: once a bag for your chargers. What is that? Huh?
- 24:11Speaker 4: A bag for your chargers? Charge? You do not know me.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Literally, this is a real gift. I got this Christmas
- 24:20Speaker 2: a bag for my chargers.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Well that actually they do know you.
- 24:23Speaker 7: You're losing those things constantly and must be driving the
- 24:25Speaker 7: people at your work crazy because you keep on asking
- 24:28Speaker 7: for those chargers.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Can I ask you, guys, who do you hate at
- 24:32Speaker 1: your workplace?
- 24:33Speaker 4: Oh? You want to just talk about who we hated
- 24:34Speaker 4: our workplace.
- 24:35Speaker 7: We're talking Dennie. She is an intern that drives me
- 24:39Speaker 7: absolutely up the wall.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Is she interned for the traffic report intern.
- 24:44Speaker 7: For the traffic report departments. She doesn't want to be here.
- 24:47Speaker 7: Her father got her the job.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Is she up in the sky with you.
- 24:50Speaker 7: She is up in the sky and terrified, constantly screaming.
- 24:54Speaker 7: If you listen to some of my traffic boards, you
- 24:55Speaker 7: can hear Deanie screaming in the background as you're a
- 24:59Speaker 7: flying Everybody here knows it is a requirement that you
- 25:02Speaker 7: must bring an intern into the helicopter with you.
- 25:06Speaker 3: I do not know why that was stated, but that
- 25:08Speaker 3: was literally legislation passed down from Barack Obama.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Cusein Obama, I'll pass that legislation. One of the first
- 25:19Speaker 4: things he did.
- 25:21Speaker 2: He came in the Oval office and he added the
- 25:24Speaker 2: intern rule of it Scott, and.
- 25:25Speaker 5: He said, folks, there's gotta be an intern up in
- 25:28Speaker 5: those copters.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Now hold on a minute, Hold on a minute. That
- 25:31Speaker 3: was the funniest impression of Obama I've ever heard.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Thank you very much.
- 25:36Speaker 5: I have a lot of time in the copter to
- 25:38Speaker 5: work on it.
- 25:39Speaker 6: While I'm waiting to be thrown to do.
- 25:42Speaker 1: You guys, how long do you guys get? Do you
- 25:43Speaker 1: guys get thirty seconds, ten minutes, three minutes?
- 25:46Speaker 4: What do you get?
- 25:47Speaker 7: They're always trying to go shorter with me. I get
- 25:49Speaker 7: about ten to twenty seconds to get it all out,
- 25:52Speaker 7: depending on how much time I want.
- 25:55Speaker 1: And now do you get a you're on deck? And
- 25:57Speaker 1: how long is that?
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yep?
- 25:58Speaker 7: I got an on deck one minute. I've prepped in,
- 26:01Speaker 7: I'm ready to go. And once it's launched, tree beans
- 26:04Speaker 7: launches in.
- 26:06Speaker 4: We have a light I won't know if I'm on
- 26:07Speaker 4: into the lights on. That must be distracting in the helicopter.
- 26:10Speaker 4: It is hard. I have a secret.
- 26:16Speaker 3: We pre record our traffic on NPR because we cannot
- 26:20Speaker 3: afford to hire me all day, so a lot of
- 26:24Speaker 3: my reports are canned.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Are you guessing it? What's gonna happen later that day?
- 26:29Speaker 3: About two times a year I come in and I
- 26:32Speaker 3: pre record every possible outcome for every possible highway pile
- 26:36Speaker 3: up on the bomb category. That sounds awful, There's I mean,
- 26:39Speaker 3: there's not that many different things unless it's a very
- 26:42Speaker 3: very exciting, crazy situation. Other than that, I'm just out
- 26:46Speaker 3: there alone in the helicopter in case there's an emergency.
- 26:49Speaker 4: But they don't need to cut to me otherwise.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Wow, but they still have you in the copter, just.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Still in the copter every day in the copter, just
- 26:56Speaker 4: quiet as them out. What are you doing up there?
- 26:58Speaker 4: Jigsaw puzzles? Yeah, jigsaw puzzles in the helicopter. What could
- 27:02Speaker 4: you be doing up there in the sky for so long?
- 27:04Speaker 4: Jigsaw puzzles? I'm not doing jigsaw puzzles Live from Katie Olan.
- 27:10Speaker 4: He's not one. What about you? What about me?
- 27:19Speaker 6: What about me?
- 27:19Speaker 4: What? What do you think? I'm so sorry? I think?
- 27:26Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 27:27Speaker 7: Now?
- 27:27Speaker 5: This is a classic thing that traffic reporters have to
- 27:30Speaker 5: be good at because sometimes we're just thrown to when
- 27:34Speaker 5: there's really nothing to say.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Oh my god, have you ever been thrown to during
- 27:38Speaker 2: a cooking session in the morning and they know?
- 27:40Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 27:41Speaker 6: Ev sky?
- 27:42Speaker 4: You think?
- 27:43Speaker 5: And I just simply have to go, well, I believe
- 27:46Speaker 5: that there is a big pile up on the one
- 27:49Speaker 5: oh one, and sometimes there's a little bit of congestion,
- 27:52Speaker 5: but it should be clearing up, and southbound it's looking good,
- 27:56Speaker 5: and northbound it's not looking good at all.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Super specific with that one.
- 28:03Speaker 2: If they ask me, if they ask me, what do
- 28:05Speaker 2: you think and they're down there doing the cooking thing,
- 28:07Speaker 2: I go, well, that looks yummy. What doesn't look yummy
- 28:09Speaker 2: is southbound going up on Los.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Aanle southbound going up.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I will say it is heartbreaking sometimes when they cut
- 28:19Speaker 3: to you and you try to include yourself when they're
- 28:22Speaker 3: talking about, you know, certain things and talking about food
- 28:26Speaker 3: or saying and you say, oh, sounds like you're having
- 28:29Speaker 3: a lot of fun.
- 28:30Speaker 4: In there and making a for Tata. I'm having fun
- 28:32Speaker 4: up here too. Detail it.
- 28:34Speaker 5: It's so hard to do banter when you are so
- 28:37Speaker 5: physically far os.
- 28:39Speaker 7: That Carbonara looks delicious. Costallda one on one north blocking
- 28:46Speaker 7: all traffic to Ventura.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Wow, that jummy.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Soon it looks absolutely divine. Terror makes you think about
- 28:55Speaker 5: the traffic, and I know it does to me.
- 28:57Speaker 4: It makes you think about the traffic. Jeremy, you're looking
- 29:05Speaker 4: like really sad right now. Thank you so much. I
- 29:08Speaker 4: tried better help and it didn't work. Check out our
- 29:12Speaker 4: Patreon instead of therapy. I got.
- 29:22Speaker 7: I gotta what question is your intern named Tara? Oh?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Wow?
- 29:28Speaker 4: Does thats alla look good?
- 29:29Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what's Tikam so slow.
- 29:35Speaker 5: Is right in front of you, or Tica Ma stalled,
- 29:40Speaker 5: so slow slow slow self found.
- 29:44Speaker 4: It sounds like you're having a blast in there listening
- 29:47Speaker 4: to the new song from Sia. I see a traffic.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Or sometimes do they ever try to make you talk
- 29:53Speaker 2: about the traffic like they're talking about the movie coming
- 29:55Speaker 2: out that weekend? They made me go there are so
- 29:56Speaker 2: many alpha buzz going up with the one on one.
- 29:58Speaker 4: And I go, I can't to do this.
- 30:00Speaker 7: Oh, it's alphabet city four or five broom on broom
- 30:05Speaker 7: Panorama City is now wicked universe with how much traffic
- 30:11Speaker 7: is backed up. Feels like no yellow brick road is
- 30:13Speaker 7: coming this way because you do not want to be following.
- 30:17Speaker 4: It's Spider Man and the Sky. It's Spider Man and
- 30:19Speaker 4: Sky for love, Tanya.
- 30:22Speaker 6: He's in the news.
- 30:24Speaker 4: And it seems like we can update set ups. What
- 30:29Speaker 4: else is new? That was like twelve years ago?
- 30:39Speaker 5: But I'm Tanya. What the traffic is unbearable right now?
- 30:43Speaker 7: Never with a car putt it's always with a talking
- 30:46Speaker 7: pun I tell you what it's transisions.
- 30:52Speaker 6: They're easier to do.
- 30:53Speaker 3: A disgruntled driver is driving the wrong way on the
- 30:56Speaker 3: two ten she's looking furiosa in theaters.
- 31:01Speaker 5: Okay, this is a fun game, maybe a fun traffic
- 31:04Speaker 5: reporters challenge.
- 31:05Speaker 4: I love hashtag traffic reporters challenge.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Oh, come on, it's ash it's just a hashtag traffic
- 31:10Speaker 2: reporters challenge.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Shadow northbound side traffic reporters challenge.
- 31:14Speaker 5: You're gonna have to do the traffic and then we're
- 31:17Speaker 5: gonna give you a a brand that you have to
- 31:20Speaker 5: promote midway through report.
- 31:23Speaker 4: It sounds like a fun challenge. I have a pile
- 31:26Speaker 4: up of ideas.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Okay, your challenge is jolly green Giant green Beans.
- 31:33Speaker 4: You said you had a pile up.
- 31:42Speaker 2: We're up here in the sky above the one on
- 31:44Speaker 2: one going southbound in height.
- 31:46Speaker 1: What's the brand, Jolly green Giant.
- 31:50Speaker 4: You are so to stumble at the beginning.
- 31:53Speaker 2: We got a lot of pile up traffic here in
- 31:56Speaker 2: Organ Bend, Organ. Yes, that's it's the land of green,
- 31:59Speaker 2: speak of green. We have green giant green beans coming
- 32:02Speaker 2: in down That looks like us. That looks like all
- 32:04Speaker 2: of the trees that are piled up town next to
- 32:06Speaker 2: the freeway. The freeway's flying. There is no traffic up here.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Thanks God, I'm feeling jolly green bean back to you.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Felt like you had a stroke in that way.
- 32:15Speaker 3: What I propose is we do we all go around
- 32:18Speaker 3: and give that a letter grade?
- 32:21Speaker 4: What letter grade did I get?
- 32:22Speaker 7: I would give it a bee. As a teacher who
- 32:24Speaker 7: feels sad for their nervous.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Students, I'll tell you it was really hard. I'm going
- 32:31Speaker 4: to give you a bee as well.
- 32:33Speaker 6: I'm going to give you an a.
- 32:34Speaker 5: You said all the words, and my teacher persona is
- 32:37Speaker 5: I don't really care too much.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Okay, your turn, your turn, I want you to do it.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Brand partnership, We transfer, we transfer. All right. Well, it's looking.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Like a livestock truck has opened up on the Eye
- 32:53Speaker 3: seventy north. There are livestock animals falling in and out
- 32:58Speaker 3: of the highway. A bunch of pigs have been thrown
- 33:02Speaker 3: to the side of the road, Horses are running into
- 33:05Speaker 3: the traffic, and the local school has sent students out
- 33:11Speaker 3: to try to help wrangle. Luckily, the live stock majors,
- 33:16Speaker 3: the future farmers of America of this local college are
- 33:20Speaker 3: helping to wrangle these animals. If you are interested in
- 33:24Speaker 3: joining this school, it's not too late. Even if you're
- 33:26Speaker 3: at another school. We transfer people over there all the time.
- 33:31Speaker 3: We transfer as a great software back to you in
- 33:35Speaker 3: the studio, lashed me saying.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Holy grades, everybody.
- 33:40Speaker 7: I will give it a C plus. It felt like
- 33:43Speaker 7: you were promoting the high school more than the company.
- 33:48Speaker 5: It really made me want to be a livestock major
- 33:51Speaker 5: more than it made me think about file story.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Amy so nervous that pigs were running around and kids
- 33:56Speaker 2: were trying to get the pigs on a highway.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Well, I'm not much of an improviser. I'm more of
- 34:05Speaker 3: a helicopter driver.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Mister s soundboard man. Do Tangles the movie Tangles.
- 34:10Speaker 3: The movie Tangles starring Milo Mannheim, the new one, the
- 34:15Speaker 3: remake Milo.
- 34:16Speaker 7: Mannheim, The movie Tangled starting Milo Manheim.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Hi from I in the Sky. This is Trent B.
- 34:23Speaker 4: Tray Beans with your traffic report up today. We are looking.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Good, sunny blue skies down in the ocean side. Traffic
- 34:31Speaker 7: is fine on the four oh five. But what's this
- 34:35Speaker 7: on the five? Seems like cars have been caught in
- 34:37Speaker 7: some sort of web. Post sign holding string has fallen
- 34:43Speaker 7: into the carpool lane, closing it down, leaving some cars
- 34:47Speaker 7: tangled up. Speaking of tangled up, Tangled comes out this Friday,
- 34:52Speaker 7: featuring Milo Manaheim, Beautiful Star, beautiful boy, beautiful man. We
- 34:59Speaker 7: hope to meet him someday.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Back to you, squeak, I just queefed.
- 35:12Speaker 6: I can't believe the mouse was okay with that.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I cannot believe it.
- 35:19Speaker 4: I would give that a C. Yeah, I would give
- 35:21Speaker 4: that a B. Plots, big range. Can I think Mala's handsome?
- 35:25Speaker 6: I give it an A.
- 35:26Speaker 4: I like everything okay, last one year, but not least
- 35:30Speaker 4: you'll be tying in Chili's Triple Dipper.
- 35:33Speaker 6: Chili Jelly's Triple Dipper.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Well, it looks like we have some congestion on the
- 35:39Speaker 5: northbound four oh five heading up from Losienaga, and some
- 35:43Speaker 5: uncongestion and down on the southbound four oh five.
- 36:03Speaker 4: That's right on congestion.
- 36:04Speaker 5: These cars are moving faster than you can ever believe,
- 36:08Speaker 5: like a runny nose. These cars are going fast, fast, fast, hot, hot, hot,
- 36:14Speaker 5: like you just ate a hot pepper.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Speaking of hot peppers, here comes.
- 36:24Speaker 5: Chili's Triple Deepper is back for a limited time at
- 36:28Speaker 5: Chili's Restaurant. Chili's Restaurant, It's where you can eat food
- 36:33Speaker 5: if you so want to, and I.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Love to do Chili's restaurant slogan, if you want to.
- 36:43Speaker 7: If you so want to, I say, I'll give it
- 36:48Speaker 7: a I'll give it.
- 36:49Speaker 4: It did feel more like a musing commercial at the beginning.
- 36:53Speaker 4: It was about choking on your own spit real. I'll
- 36:58Speaker 4: give you an A because you gave it.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Say I will give you an A because the idea
- 37:02Speaker 3: of uncongestion is the world I want to live in.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Imagine if traffic could go faster. Imagine a perfect world
- 37:11Speaker 3: where we can look out and go. They're going faster
- 37:13Speaker 3: and working better together than we've ever seen.
- 37:16Speaker 4: What can I say?
- 37:17Speaker 5: I mean, this is controversial, this is maybe a traffic
- 37:20Speaker 5: reporter's hot take.
- 37:21Speaker 2: And I don't know another game hot takes, Hot takes,
- 37:25Speaker 2: it's your new favorite segment.
- 37:28Speaker 3: You can see these on TikTok. You can rarely hear
- 37:30Speaker 3: them because the helicopter.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Is so loud, so loud, and one day we're gonna
- 37:33Speaker 5: crack that. One day we're gonna crack that traffic reporter
- 37:37Speaker 5: hot takes.
- 37:38Speaker 6: I brought this up because you had a hot take.
- 37:41Speaker 6: I had a hot take.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Oh, I have I have a I have a traffic
- 37:46Speaker 5: reporter's hot take.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Let's hear it.
- 37:47Speaker 5: I if everybody in traffic just went a little faster,
- 37:51Speaker 5: we wouldn't have traffic.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Whoa whoa traffic reporter hot take? Traffic reporter, hot take?
- 37:56Speaker 2: Why can't if I can zoom out and get above
- 37:58Speaker 2: everything and see better?
- 38:00Speaker 4: Why can't I do that with my wife? That's more
- 38:03Speaker 4: of a traffic reporters hot joke.
- 38:08Speaker 2: But I honestly, really, honestly just wish the way I
- 38:11Speaker 2: approach traffic, which is just getting out ahead of it
- 38:13Speaker 2: and looking at it from a from a distance, is
- 38:15Speaker 2: what I wish I could do with conflict.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Yes, traffic reporter, hot take, traffic refort a hot take,
- 38:20Speaker 3: nice beautiful pancakes, more like traffics for hot cake.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Whe's a canal? Hot take? Wow, these these were hetahs
- 38:40Speaker 4: smell delicious? Oh sorry, more like a plate.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Whoa a triple axle getting the gold medal?
- 38:50Speaker 4: Apollo on?
- 38:51Speaker 6: No lands it again? More like a traffic reporter hot skate.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Oh well, because there's a lot of traffic on the
- 39:04Speaker 2: southbound of that pottery barn. Because they're making things with
- 39:06Speaker 2: their hands, it's trying to track. It's a traffic report.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Hot make.
- 39:11Speaker 4: They're making hot make. It's hot making.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Spotted over on Ventura Boulevard. She's there without John and
- 39:21Speaker 3: without her age. It's traffic reporter hot, Kate, okay, oh
- 39:29Speaker 3: southbound southbound.
- 39:30Speaker 2: We want rights for all, we want people to be
- 39:32Speaker 2: treated equally. It is traffic reporter hot. No hate plus,
- 39:42Speaker 2: I can't remember what.
- 39:47Speaker 4: It was no hate with eight.
- 39:49Speaker 7: It was.
- 39:51Speaker 5: We don't want them to It was confusing then and
- 39:53Speaker 5: it's confusing now.
- 39:54Speaker 7: You reply that there was no hate in the proposition
- 39:57Speaker 7: of there's no hate on the old proper.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Stop hating on Prop eight, which was the law about
- 40:05Speaker 4: gay marriage. Yes, yes, it was very niche references. I
- 40:10Speaker 4: have a question for all of you.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I think one of the most exciting moments of all
- 40:15Speaker 3: of our careers is when we get enlisted. So they say,
- 40:20Speaker 3: into following a high speed chase.
- 40:24Speaker 4: I was going to bring up the same thing.
- 40:26Speaker 7: How hard do we get when a car has been
- 40:28Speaker 7: taken in a sprinting away from something?
- 40:30Speaker 4: Where were you when the juice was loose? I was
- 40:34Speaker 4: out there? What I was on the highway.
- 40:39Speaker 3: I was following the Bronco and I said, cut to me,
- 40:42Speaker 3: cut to me, cut to me. Turns out I was
- 40:45Speaker 3: following the wrong Bronco. There was just a woman going
- 40:50Speaker 3: to the mall. She was in SeeMe Valley and they
- 40:55Speaker 3: kept cutting to me and I said, oh, oh, the juice.
- 40:57Speaker 3: It looks like the juice is stopping at an air Juan.
- 41:00Speaker 3: And it turns out that I made a big mistake
- 41:03Speaker 3: that day.
- 41:03Speaker 4: That's horrifyed.
- 41:05Speaker 3: For a good few minutes, I thought I had the footage.
- 41:08Speaker 6: That must have freaked her the heck out.
- 41:10Speaker 4: It was scary. It was scary for her.
- 41:12Speaker 2: I thought I had the Bronco too. I went cut
- 41:15Speaker 2: to me, cut to me, cut to me, They cut
- 41:17Speaker 2: to me. I was looking at the Bronco on my
- 41:19Speaker 2: phone on a live stream.
- 41:22Speaker 7: Wow, there's air one in phones carrying Oh Jay's runaway.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Absolutely, it was a crazy time.
- 41:30Speaker 5: Time is a flat circle. And uh, that's just the
- 41:33Speaker 5: end of that.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Thank you. But your first car Chase, I think it's
- 41:39Speaker 4: really important to talk about it.
- 41:40Speaker 6: Car Chase.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Well, I know when my first car chase, I I
- 41:43Speaker 5: called everyone in my family and I said, turn on
- 41:45Speaker 5: the TV.
- 41:46Speaker 6: I'm about to be going big. And it was so exhilarating.
- 41:50Speaker 5: But then over the course of time, you know, people
- 41:53Speaker 5: get sick of it and they're like, all right, well,
- 41:55Speaker 5: I'll catch the next one.
- 41:56Speaker 4: I'll catch the next one.
- 41:57Speaker 7: Yeah, nothing is worse for me personally. When our eye
- 42:00Speaker 7: and this guy loses the car for a little bit.
- 42:03Speaker 7: One of the most devastating feelings in the world. That
- 42:06Speaker 7: camera is panning around desperately to find that car.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Don't you hate it when the eye on the sky
- 42:11Speaker 5: gets a little hungry and he starts tilting the camera
- 42:13Speaker 5: toor nearby restaurant is very clear.
- 42:17Speaker 4: The traffic at this burger can. He's going.
- 42:20Speaker 2: My eye in this guy always wants to race with
- 42:22Speaker 2: the car, so sometimes we'll beat the car and then
- 42:24Speaker 2: lose the car.
- 42:25Speaker 3: My eye in the sky always catches the eye of
- 42:28Speaker 3: another helicopter and tries to show off and flirt with them.
- 42:33Speaker 3: He puts on a big helicopter fedora, and she tries
- 42:37Speaker 3: to ask what their age is.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Does the helicopter put on a fedora?
- 42:40Speaker 3: The helicopter wears a giant fledora on top.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Of the helicopter stays on.
- 42:47Speaker 3: You don't understand. The fedora goes around the entirety of
- 42:50Speaker 3: the blades. So the that's spitting really fast.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Do you lose velocity with how high you're going?
- 42:56Speaker 3: We certainly do. And it's scary, I say take off
- 43:02Speaker 3: the hat.
- 43:02Speaker 4: We're here to work.
- 43:04Speaker 7: Stop trying to hit on that police helicopter. You could
- 43:07Speaker 7: say it has a wondering eye.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Do you ever get pulled over by the police helicopter
- 43:13Speaker 5: while you're in the sky and then you gotta just
- 43:16Speaker 5: sit there exchanging information?
- 43:18Speaker 3: Have you ever had to do a mid air do
- 43:20Speaker 3: you having to recite the make the helicopter recite the
- 43:26Speaker 3: alphabet backwards?
- 43:27Speaker 2: I've never seen a breathalyzer go down on a stick
- 43:29Speaker 2: all the way to the ground, him all the way back.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Up on the rope trying to put one foot in
- 43:36Speaker 6: front of the e.
- 43:37Speaker 4: But you have to hangle on segment. Traffic report.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Never have im or put a finger down if you
- 43:42Speaker 2: have all right, traver report. Never have I ever been
- 43:47Speaker 2: in traffic up in the sky. I've never gotten behind
- 43:49Speaker 2: a plane.
- 43:50Speaker 6: I have I have done that traffic report.
- 43:53Speaker 4: Never have I ever?
- 43:54Speaker 5: Never have I ever accidentally dropped an f ball on
- 43:59Speaker 5: the broadcast?
- 44:00Speaker 4: Well fuck you, that's what I do accidentally every time.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Never have I ever thought I was driving the helicopter
- 44:10Speaker 3: but accidentally was in a bathtub.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I can't say I don't.
- 44:18Speaker 4: I'm just saying I've never done that. Dr Bard.
- 44:22Speaker 7: Never have I ever, never ever thought I was reporting
- 44:24Speaker 7: on traffic turns out to be a bunch of rocks.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Never I have ever done that. I have done that.
- 44:29Speaker 4: I have accidentally been looking at a mountain.
- 44:32Speaker 2: I have done that is never have I ever gotten
- 44:34Speaker 2: on the gotten in the copter with no shoes and.
- 44:40Speaker 4: This whole report coming back live from you for laud can.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Sometimes it's fun to let those piggies hangb.
- 44:49Speaker 4: I ever.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Had my broth fall off while I'm doing the traffic report.
- 44:56Speaker 4: That has happened to me us me and I've done that.
- 45:00Speaker 2: I never have I ever asked the asked the pilot
- 45:04Speaker 2: to swing by my house so I could see if
- 45:05Speaker 2: a package I ordered it was outside my door.
- 45:08Speaker 4: I have done.
- 45:12Speaker 5: It.
- 45:13Speaker 7: It was a countertop Me and my wife were trying
- 45:16Speaker 7: to replace our countertop.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Was worried about people stealing it. More in it. More
- 45:20Speaker 4: about that five minutes that people are gonna come steal
- 45:27Speaker 4: your countertop.
- 45:28Speaker 5: More on that in five What a terrible thing to
- 45:31Speaker 5: steal if you're a burger, My god, how do you
- 45:33Speaker 5: even begin.
- 45:34Speaker 4: To resell that that?
- 45:37Speaker 2: How do you take so much easier to get like
- 45:40Speaker 2: technology or maybe designer.

- 45:54Speaker 6: Oh, I am getting this report.
- 45:56Speaker 5: It seems the horse with a gun has galloped from
- 46:00Speaker 5: the Librea Santa Monica intersection all the way down to
- 46:03Speaker 5: Lobrea and Olympic, where he has found another horse with
- 46:06Speaker 5: a different gun, a bigger gun on this horse.
- 46:09Speaker 6: And they are squaring up to do a horse duel.
- 46:12Speaker 2: I'm just getting in now that both wives of each
- 46:15Speaker 2: horse with a gun are going straight up Santa Monica
- 46:18Speaker 2: Boulevard in order to calm down their hasty steves.
- 46:22Speaker 4: This just in on Martel. Three cows with machetes.
- 46:26Speaker 3: We're keeping an eye on this, but it looks like
- 46:29Speaker 3: the cows and the horses are currently unrelated.
- 46:32Speaker 4: This justin on Montana.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Awaimo has lost Wi Fi signal and has stopped in
- 46:37Speaker 2: the middle of the road.
- 46:39Speaker 7: And I'm hearing if you want to take Fountain, it's
- 46:41Speaker 7: a no go. A Honda Fit has crashed into a
- 46:45Speaker 7: strong woman who his child is stuck under the vehicle
- 46:49Speaker 7: and she is proceeding to lift the Honda fit.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Pretty easily bad news if.
- 46:53Speaker 5: You're taking Sunset. If you can't get on Fountain of
- 46:57Speaker 5: Waimos starting a Weaymo flash mob and is proposing to
- 47:03Speaker 5: a cocoa bot.
- 47:04Speaker 6: Now, who knows why.
- 47:06Speaker 5: These waymos had the time to learn this choreography, But
- 47:09Speaker 5: a lot of business people look stuck in the passenger
- 47:12Speaker 5: seat and one of.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Those Weymo proms, that's my favorite ever. Go to Rock Mirror.
- 47:16Speaker 2: It's just reporting live take Vine instead because there's the
- 47:20Speaker 2: premiere of Captain Marvel at the l Capitag.

- 47:50Speaker 7: The road has lifted up and become a hot wheels loop,
- 47:53Speaker 7: so I avoided Melrose unless you want to try something
- 47:57Speaker 7: crazy in your Newdean Altama.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Today is a voting Tuesday, so make sure you drive

- 49:11Speaker 2: I'd say for any young traffic reporters out there, I'd
- 49:14Speaker 2: tell you to keep going.
- 49:16Speaker 4: Don't worry when there's a pile up ahead of you.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Just keep moving and get your license. If it feels slow,
- 49:21Speaker 4: you'll just have to wait it out.
- 49:22Speaker 7: Because traffic always comes to a grinding standstill and then.
- 49:28Speaker 4: It starts moving again.
- 49:30Speaker 3: As long as there are humans making mistakes, we will
- 49:33Speaker 3: need humans telling other people how to avoid those mistakes.
- 49:37Speaker 5: And if you're a traffic reporter, for the love of God,
- 49:40Speaker 5: never stop talking. Everything is a run on sentence, and
- 49:44Speaker 5: if you think you've reached the end, just keep on going.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Like you heard here today.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Sometimes you won't know what you're saying or where you're
- 49:51Speaker 2: going with what you're saying.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Can keep driving forward and never land that cop to.
- 49:56Speaker 4: It doesn't matter what you're saying, don't think about what
- 49:58Speaker 4: you're saying.
- 49:59Speaker 3: If you keep going, you're going to find the gem
- 50:01Speaker 3: that hides at the bottom of the well.
