- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hi folks, welcome to the episode of Film Study.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: This is Ken McCusik, and it's time for Friday morning GM with my co-host, Vaseline Rico's thoughts.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: How you doing?
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Life is good, Ken.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot remember being more excited for a raise season opener as I am for this, 2026 kickoff, a lot of change this off season, especially coaching staff, but a lot of player acquisitions as well.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't wait to see them on the field together.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is it's great stuff and we're about to move kind of into our regular season format for this, which includes, you know, look at the enactives, which we'll get to in this half of the show and We're also going to have a big rundown for you on the program and it'll be split into parts of the strength of the roster by position groups.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a one to ten rating for each group and I'll be interested to compare Ratings with you and and talk our way through that, but let's start with the injury report.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: There were four guys injured on Wednesday on the report on Wednesday.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: Tess Walker, a groin, was running on a different field, Z-flowers, hamstring, juries, says he'll be back and ready for Sunday.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then Teddy Buchanan, now they might be able to list it as limited.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: All four of these guys were listed as limited by the way.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think the Ravens are expecting either Buchanan or Matt at B.K.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: back for the next couple of weeks.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Where are you on that?
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's hard to tell.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Just a minute, it's not giving any information away.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I certainly don't blame him for that.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's the first time we really got to even see what the issue with flowers was.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: It probably could have assumed it might have been a hamstring.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: But this is the first time they actually have to put a body part with the injury.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it does walk over to growing.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't shock me if you canons back and apparently met a B.K.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: has been at least participating to some extent in team drills.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: So, all at all, the postsick the only guy I'm seeing in anything I are at this juncture, knock on wood, knock on wood, knock on wood, but they're in good pretty good shape.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's pinter.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: But the team photo came out today by the way, and they're in numerical order, but Pinter is the one guy who's out of numerical order, probably because of the cast on his leg or whatever's on his leg, uh, uh, okay.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: There, but, you know, it's like two through 14, and then 63 or something, and then they go ahead for the rest of it.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I think we're probably looking at week three at the earliest from at a BK between the various things we heard we talked about in the last week's to cost of the interview that I think that's where I expect it.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think Buchanan, they're talking about also before week four, I just don't, I can't bring myself to believe it's going to be week one.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so when we talk about inactive, we'll probably have to adjust for that inside line-backer position.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's go.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Big news the week is when the starting center, Javan, I think is the right guy.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: They finally got, and I think we will kind of want to talk through that, but it kind of got there through more or less of what I would call a process of elimination.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a group of that.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: I would agree with that.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think when post sick was initially signed.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: They was kind of earmarked to be the starter and Pinter was running with the ones for a while there and looked like he kind of had a little bit of a grip grip on the position.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I think before the first preseason game, we were kind of thinking when it was on the wrong side of the bubble.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: But he really fared well and I think it is the right guy.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: You do have postsick in reserve if you need him.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I think when his under opportunity and I think that a letter system that he shared in the preseason could be an asset trip team.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, it's a set of circumstances.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't draft a center so that that, you know, made it possible.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Pinter suffered the knee injury versus the Vikings enjoyed practice and he probably was, I certainly was a guy I would have been happy to have on the team and would be much happier if the Ravens still had him.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a short term I are now would be good, but anyway, the lack of him is really eroded a lot of the Ravens depth of the position.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: Then Posek who's not fully back from this injury, and this is one of the scary parts, is the Ravens don't really have a backup plan at center other than bring in an injured Posek or not a hundred percent Posek, should anything happen to go in?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it makes me question the decision to keep Andrew Voorhees over Cory Bullock, which they made a cut down day.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think Bullock may have been a better choice.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: With you entirely, and obviously Bullock not an option that claimed by Carolina and I would agree of a stake not to keep on the 53.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then Nick Dawkins, they had him a practice squad briefly, and they've released him to make room for some other players.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: They really offensive tackled
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's gone now and never really got a chance at Center, honestly, with the Raymond's.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: He was old a guard for most of this preseason and really playing with the threes for most of it.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: So he never really got very much of an opportunity, obviously.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the flip side, if postsick is able to get healthy, that's a pretty experience back up if he remains a backup.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: So if they are both healthy, it's a pretty relatively strong position with.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: I any reason to believe that postsick would take wins job without win actually losing it.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'd rather see what he has until he unless he's getting bored in a Lamar's lap and that sort of thing.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: And there's miscommunications in the interior.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: That could be a reason why you want it better and out there.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, we'll see that goes, you know, it's hard to kind of some of the expectations are hard to know because we don't know how this coach is that's going to operate.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they've played for continuity year after year in terms of having one for one substitutions or the offensive line and I think they'd continue to put a fairly significant premium on that might even be more as the season rolls on which might make it difficult for postsick to get in there and play.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: Now they could easily long time veteran, you could certainly be put in practice.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think this community will be a lot of impetus to do it either.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we mentioned the reasons Gwen wanted to obviously really had that outstanding game versus Philadelphia.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: He blocked the nominee, orange to the ground, directly from the line of scrimmage.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's so rare, I have to even mention this again.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he just drove him back, then drove him to the left, open up a big hole for Derek Henry, which was a nice run on the play.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: But also put orange on the ground at the end of the play that is so unusual for a center to be able to do that to a nose tackle And he's it's not a slouch.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: This is a guy who is a you know one of the better defensive tackles in the entire draft
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one of the most stealthy offensive Wymen, right?
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it's impressive, you know, we've got to see the games, obviously, you see the against other teams first string.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: There are some beefy noses tackles in the division.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, it's size limitations maybe can be kind of weighed by raw athleticism.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm with you there and I'm excited about that.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the really exciting players to watch in a week one alone with a lot of the scheme and what nine.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: Um, let's talk about projected in actives though for week one.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: And then this is an interesting roster.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: They got a very deep 53.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: The in actives are actually a pretty tough group to find.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I think I've got it to.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: one elevation, which takes you to 54 and then they'll have six in active to get back down to 48.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: I've got an outline of where I think those guys start maybe go through them one at a time and I'll name one that you do the next kind of thing.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Feignano, I think is QB3, so he does not have to be active on game day.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fairly obvious one.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: right because you have the free option of to let it play without using your spot.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely agree with that one.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think one of the white receivers and it depends on Walker's injury.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: If Walker's ready to go, I expect Serrat to be inactive.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: If Walker needs more time for the growing injury, and maybe it's pretty difficult to be cautious depending on the nature of it, then I would say Walker probably because there might not be snaps for the six-wire
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what I would figure as well.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure I does have some special teams value, but I would agree with that entirely, and one of those two was certainly be an active.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say that Andrew Voorhees probably is inactive.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have to get one from the offensive line.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Voorhees is the one that really makes sense.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: I suppose it could be Emery Jones as well, but I just don't see it.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think Voorhees will be the guy who sits for this game.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I would agree, I think, and I heard Jeff make the point, he went from a 70 game starter to now, luckily, an active week one, that's a pretty, pretty precipitous fall for me standing last year for Vortes.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's probably Emory, because he does seem to have more cross-training ability, potentially even right tackle ability, although Vincent was listed as the Swintackle backup of both sides.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: the one they put out, which is probably made by someone in the PR department.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, not necessarily coach, but either way, you know, we could see Emory, potentially there's a six offensive line in some plays depending on how they wanted to deploy him.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't have the best training camp, but I'm still kind of pulling up a little stuck in him.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, um, I think not to better be gay was more likely inactive than active.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll put him on the list.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: If for some reason he was able to go, you're going to deactivate a different defense line because I can't see carrying 60 line and into game day.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, I don't just be overkill.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: So we'd probably be pebbles if it wasn't met at BK who is inactive would be my guess and that's actually too bad because it's a lot of a lot of past-rush talent you're giving up on if you if you start with pebbles inactive and that's going to be a regular every week thing because you've got an empty back and be kind of ashamed.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that's probably the way they go.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I would hope that I would hope that it will be Broughty, Broughty Washington would be.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: If all six are healthy, I'd like to see Broughty as the on an inactive player.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: Don't think that'll happen this week.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you my reasoning is that I think they're going to probably play more base defense this week than they do in a normal week during the season.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: So we might see 9-10% of base for the year this year, I think, you know, be about the same as last year, probably is a reasonable estimate.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: But this week, they face a really top running attack, and as long as that game script is neutral, I think they'll probably go with more base, and it's a tough offensive line, they're up against.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: So they really need to spread it out with a full 5-2, and I think then they'll be able to take care of Jonathan Taylor.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I go with Teddy Buchanan as the next to be an active, I just think that's where the team is leaning and obviously you don't need an elevation if Buchanan is able to go.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: You go an entire week without using a bringing it by up.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: It was a fairly healthy, so they probably shouldn't need an activation, an elevation anyway.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: But if they if you can't it doesn't play then they're a man short at inside lineback And they don't have three and I don't think they'll go into a game like that So my guess is that you can and based on what we know right now is probably gonna be an active Yeah, I think that's
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: good expectation, you know, I think I really think of it from the only three edits I've back are perspective, because it's someone rare that you lose two players in one game, the same position, and I was kind of thinking they could fill that special teams role with another young player who were probably going to touch them here soon, but that is a fair point, you probably need four
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: I will not get to Josh Koebus.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Raven said four Sidense-Foolback active a lot last season, but, you know, you got to deactivate somebody, so probably most of the Koebus.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I had three guys that I thought were the ones that might go.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm not sure which one of these three it's gonna be.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna try and handicap it.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna try it, maybe I can handicap it, but we talk through it first.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: Josh Quay, this is certainly one of the three.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think Chandler Rivers as the sixth cornerback would be a possibility.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think Keon Martin will be the first guy they want for slot cornerback duties.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't hurt to have a second guy, but it's really only 25% of the snacks that we talked about.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's really only in the dime that they'll do that.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: They may get in a positive game script against the Coles and want that, but I think it's something that they They have relatively limited need for and I think in rivers is the guy who probably is is on the outside looking in if that's the way they go And the third is Ethan Burke and you got four outside line backers.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: They're all healthy starting this season Ethan Burke's gonna get fairly limited run.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: He would have use on the pont team offensive line and on the field.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Go block unit
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: So that would be the reason why you take him over a Josh Quavus and I think you've got a better chance to get into what you want to do in a regular package basis with a Quavus where you would want to have some 13 personnel and you might lose somebody that you really regret having Quavus on the side.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: I can see the case for all three.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think Burke might offer some utility as a kit cover man as well.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think he skills that probably fits that.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: Rivers is like the fifth outside perimeter corner, right?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: You made that point last week.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then Clavus, if you want to run their team and somebody gets knocked.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: So talk to Susan really.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: I could probably see
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: probably going to rotate through all three of those guys at some point this year being the inactive.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mentioned to see how the net there does it, you know, because we're so used to the previous regime for all those years, doing things sort of the same way, doesn't matter how the new twist on it, something different.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Could be a situation where they have four defensive linemen for some games.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is not a such a game, but it could be that that's the case.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess another guy you have to bring up is Kian Martin.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get a really good sense from this game whether Kian Martin has had a channel of rivers.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to see prima facia evidence of that basically on some time situations to see which
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I would probably peg Martin as the front runner, but Rivers certainly came on throughout the preseason.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: They may be a seniority kind of goes in Martin's favor, but we'll see.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's where you are.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: One elevation I have is down to Luca and it could be that they just keep all three of Qu Davis rivers and Burke and they worked through it that way on inside linebackers short.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know what they'd really do if they had two inside linebackers down, but I guess it would involve Kyle Hamilton really don't know.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say Hamilton or maybe Kianza Jackson, one of the bigger cities.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's move on to what I think is to meet and potato to this show, which is talking through the strength of each position group and we're going to try to put a numeric zero to ten or one to ten ratio rating on each of these and each have a rating for you kind of give our reasoning, but let's start with the quarterback position.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: A clear 10 out of 10 for me, Lamar Jackson is one of MVP both times.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: He was put into a new offensive scheme under a new offensive coordinator and he's one of the front runners.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: If not, be front runner again this year.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: He looks from all reports to a regained the athleticism that the injuries last year seemed to take a toll on or against.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Snoop at Lee had probably his best season as a professional last season.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: And Joe Focknano came out of nowhere literally a training camp try out player to earn a roster spot.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Ravens have one of the very best if not the best number one, one of the best number two's.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: I probably want to the best number three's.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there aren't there aren't that many number three's across the whole league.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, but it could well be one of the best number three's.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: And Jackson is currently second in the MVP odds.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, if you watch that game last night, I don't think Drake may is in particular good position to win the MVP tough game for him going to see it.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: Who was the fourth quarter.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: That fourth quarter was rough.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: Jackson appears very fast in camp.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm anticipating a big rushing year from Lamar.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think they want to really want to lean on to the read option in ways that they couldn't really last year.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he'll be back with a, you know, a 700 yard season.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: I would say it's not going to be a thousand again.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe, but if I had to, you know, put a stake in the ground.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say right around seven hundred yards.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a 10 also just to respond to that point.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of it depends on game script and Lamar made that point in one of the Pressors after a practice how much you expect in running said I'm going to do what needs to be done to win, but if they're holding it too touched on lead, there's not a silly the reason to take that risk.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I would agree, you know, and they probably won't do that, but, you know, in any kind of neutral game script or any kind of game script where you're in that, you know, 10 to 90% chance to win the football game still, you want to leverage your best offensive assets out.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's still the read option and the Henry Lamar Meshpoint is nothing like it in the game in terms of an offensive weapon.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's the thing.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not appreciating that by the way, right now, in Baltimore, not just appreciating these players separately, but appreciating how much
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: they put in terms of pressure on a defense that you are missing out is all I say this is this is a once in a lifetime kind of kind of time at those two players together.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: I heard anyway I'm Henry this week where he was said Lamar was the main reason he came to Baltimore because he wanted to play with Lamar and obviously there was a rivalry between the Titans and the Ravens
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: recently in the early Romaria also way back one in the religious at the Georgia, but he said there isn't he came with that and he said he's really focused on one of the championship because he doesn't want to retire and say I play with Lamar Jackson, we were both together in the same back field we didn't want to Super Bowl.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, hopefully that this is the year Jackson, second in the MVP odds currently.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: And if somebody else wanted to call this a nine, and they say, well, staff or it is better this or that, I think one of the things that's really missing is they don't really realize Lamar's impact on the run game.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the same thing, missed by MVP voteings.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I can't see any way Lamar's not one of the top three quarterbacks in the league, and that's the group is not in the top three in the league.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I had a pretty easy time calling that at 10.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on to running back.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'll start this one.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: You've started the last one.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: As carries currently stand, this is important because things could go awry.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, injuries could occur, but as the carries are currently slated to be doled out, Henry alone would be a 10, but you can't count on that.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: Henry's been extremely durable, but you can't count on it.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: I dropped it down a little bit because of that.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: They really probably need to identify the healthy Bill cow backup.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's clearly Randall, but then why the heck do they put Randall on the shelf for four weeks for an in-grown toenail?
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just a weird injury.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: They actually came out and said that.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that was a joke.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: annoyance or something, but I think that Randall Mayer may not be as good as Mitchell as a number two back, but the thing the protection he provides you is that he always said and could take 150 carries if you need it into, where I don't think Mitchell was prepared to do that physically.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: I am concerned about the fall off of Justice Hill, particularly as a pass blocker.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's at one
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: slight negative point.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: Randall possibly could be that guy.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to step up his want to as a pass blocker.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: I want to really see that.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't even really see it in the preseason, honestly.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, I have met a nine overall through any back position.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: My quote is bullish.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: I have run
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: and love with the back-ups, especially with Randall not on the initial team, I think Hill is best years, he's probably out of his prime at this point, he's entered approaching 30, he was injured last year, Lee, I don't think is...
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: anything special necessarily.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe as it's better skills than I thought as far as catching a ball to the back of you.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take you to the touchdown last season.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably the best play of the year and then you had a pretty good outing with third preseason game.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: But besides that is a pure runner, I don't think he's brings anything really unique to the table.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing is Derek Henry has beaten father time so far, but father time eventually is on the feed it.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I know it keeps his body in pristine shape, but you know a lot of carries a lot of mileage, you know it could knock one word, but you know footer injury or something like that for a guy whose size isn't out of the question.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: So fortunately I don't think the running back position drives the offense as much as Lamar does, but in a rushing game.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: So if there was
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: God, God forbid an injury.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll be able to overcome it.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, I said seven, maybe eight might be more appropriate, but I'm not quite quite a nine.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, just just to be clear here, I'm using a linear scale.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: So if I give somebody a 10, that means they're in the top three in the league, if they're nine, they're between four and six in the league.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's kind of the appropriate place for the Ravens run game, but if you're saying seven, you're really saying between the 10th and 12th best in the league that seems kind of too low to me.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: I have seen a couple of services, I put them like the 10th best running game in the league, and I kind of have to scoff at it in terms of that.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: If the RB2 was a stronger player, I think I'd be pire for sure.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think Justice Hills really, maybe in the 50th percent thus far is RB2.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: So it had best.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you on that and I was just giving you a chance to Delify there and go up to an eight, but I understand if you don't want to.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on to the wider receiver position.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's you start us off.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, by receiver, I have it a seven.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: Zafel ours is the wide receiver one on this league.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's worth the contract.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know some don't because he doesn't have the touch out percentage of some other number one receivers, but he's as far as explosive plays, he's among the best in the game.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: Put hands and I'm hoping he can improve his yard drive to the catch just by getting north and south a little bit better.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: We shot baitman, hoping for a rebound season from him.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: He had a good season two years ago.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was a more than adequate wide receiver two.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's a terrific route runner.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: They may not be really.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: the perfect combination with the Morris Playstyle.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: Elijah Sarat, I think can contribute if necessary, but you could arrange or the player that has everybody excited.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's we had a terrific camp, he's got a huge catcher, he has huge hands, he can go up and get the ball,
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: got good speed.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: He could develop it.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: I saw somewhere, I heard somewhere that someone said offensive rookie the year for jacodilly and on a national pot, on a national thing, which seems far fetched to me, but, you know, I guess the potential is there if you get the target share, and then test Walker as a wide receiver forward.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's a really strong player.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think a breakout kind of guy and there's nothing else to think bring something to the table.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: Not only is it a return man, but I sort of not a, not a, not a sketchback, but just a guy that has showed some wiggle on the open field catch a swim pass and make something happen.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I have it at a seven.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: I was a little more conservative on this one than you.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: No issue with safe flowers.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I think in fact, one of the cool things about week one is they'll be going up against sauce gardener.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: And if they were just if they're close for somehow to do something is.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: handously stupid is putting sauce gardener on flowers which I don't think they'll do I put for for for for I think actually sauce gardener on baitmen might make a lot of sense it might actually you know really be detrimental to the to the ravens but sauce gardener on flowers
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's nobody who can stay with flowers, single cuts.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason to put your best corner back on a player like flowers because he doesn't have that ability that any more than anybody else does.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: You want him putting up, you know, being sticky with a really good route runner that would make a lot more sense to me.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: So that that may be what they end up doing to try and create an island with baitmen over there.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: But I think virus is going to have a big year.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think it'll be somewhat mitigated from some of the very extreme projections from Femi and others about, you know, 1400 yards in what not, because I think that just start the total number of targets.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: And if you were to set, I've been dissatisfied in past good years in the Ravens, with the Mars passing yardage total, all I can say is don't be, it's usually means, you know, they're going 12 and 5, 13 and 4 and the MMR has a very low
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: number of total attempts, which I certainly hope is the case this year, they just aren't that many targets to go around, and so they'll be a lot it out and flowers will get a good share of them, but he's not going to get all of them, and you know, so you're always going to kind of be unhappy with flowers, you're at it's total, and we're probably with Lamar Jackson's passing yardage total as well.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you in the comeback, but don't
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean, it's a tight track, but just he meant there's currently second for coach the year odds.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm expecting a shutdown, I really expecting a black down defense.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get to that in the second episode, but if defense still under job, yeah, there's not going to be a whole lot of need to be passing the ball in the second half.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to play that, you can always do the first half, you know, totals and pick Lamar and flowers that go over the first half, but I don't know.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm expecting a really, really strong defensive here.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's a, that's a really good way to bet the Ravens, by the way, in a, in a, in a, in a games or expect positive game script, bet the first half, and don't, don't, don't mess with second half, or you're going to be disappointed.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: I do believe in the comeback here for Rashad Beatman.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I'm concerned to have the legal troubles.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really have a sense of exactly when they may come to a head and cause him to miss time.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: So that's hanging over the team like a dark cloud, probably caused me to make a slight reduction for that.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: Chico B.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: Lane, I'm with you.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: I've greatly now would increase the expectation of targets.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think he gets some incremental from the statement situation.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think he gets some incremental from the walker situation currently, and TES did not finish camp well.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: So, I've talked about this on a lot of pods, but Tez Walker was getting open deep all the time and the quarterback's are regularly underthrowing him on those balls and cornerbacks are running back into the play, kind of like May underthrowing whoever it was off the left side line in the end zone in the game.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: You got a massive hit here.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's called Adam's.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, AJ Brown.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, we, but we see too many deflected balls on deep balls headed for for Walker and then in the final game he didn't run out of route.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that is just a cardinal sin.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: It could lose a lot of trust for that.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of thing he should go over and apologize kind of immediately about it and it came up about a yard short on Panyano, maybe a couple of feet short honestly, and you can see Fanyano, you know, Winston the thing or actually he can't hear what kind of thing he drew breath through his lips as he kind of smiled and then you go over to mentor mentors not smiling at all about it.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, it was a bad place.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he actually really heard his position there.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: Now, he's a good deep threat.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: They want to get him on the field.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: They want to make use of him.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think he's likely to have the kind of target breakout that might have been expected for this year.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: Elijah Sretta, I think he's going to spend a lot of time on the sideline this year.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: in street clothes and, you know, being a guy who probably sees some in activations.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think you'll get 15 to 18 targets because there's going to be some wide receiver attrition.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to play some games and then I think he'll make you so, you know, you'll find a way to be useful in the offense at that point.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then, Wester, I think he can do more than just a special team, so, frankly, the Ravens should.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: They need to get some value out of him on the offensive steps, and rotate through his receivers, keep fresh legs in there.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: They have some real depth at wide receiver.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: They ought to take advantage of that while they have it.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I just don't think it should link wide receiver success with the artist totals.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's all about yards per target and other efficiency numbers, touch down percentage.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: Those kind of things.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's what needs to stay good for the Baltimore Ravens to have a really
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: good explosive passing attack to the extent they really need to have it.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be gargantuan totals in any aggregate stats unless things are going dramatically difficult for the raven's defenses.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's very well said all the way around.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: To be honest with you, the Bateman issues look amazing.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I probably would go down by one and you make good points about walkers long.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you're don't find to a six.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm at a five by the way.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I said that, but a little bit obviously more more conservative there, but hey, we got to have her spots right.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes, take us to the tight end positions out.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go first.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: So it's one of the biggest problem areas on the team.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_01]: I want to get back to where they were in 23 and 24 with a low volume high efficiency offense.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think if they went down to 110 targets, again, a tight end that would be fine, be effective blocking, have more of the receivers, you know, the receivers getting more of the total targets.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, I'm kind of scared at who the targets go to.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: Mark Andrews has not really looked at the summer.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: uh... not coming back for the ball in the same way that that you'd expect you'll immerse trying to force it into them uh... just hasn't been very effective at getting the ball this summer so i
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: be really happy when I see something different on the field, maybe it's the Raven's defense, understands and practice how much Lamar wants to go to Mark Andrews and it's kind of leaning on him that way.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_01]: But for whatever reason, Mark Andrews has got to be an offensive more than have a dead cat bounce to his year.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: So if you got to 6.8 yards per target and up from 6, I'm not going to be excited about that.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: Mark Andrews has been consistently over eight and
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to see him back in the eight to nine range again.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: Don't think it's likely to happen.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: The high sevens is kind of beating the dead cat bounce by a little with all the targets I expect him to get this year.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: You want to continue or you're already you start talking Andrews.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the big thing and then Yeah, so You know, I mean you could say well, they're even said maybe the best safety group in the league So that's why he was struggling in practice, but he really had a tough year last year and The contract to gave him was a questionable from the very start we talked about it that week and said I'm that seems a little bit rich for what he's doing looks like he's
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's regressing is on the downside of his career now.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: He said if she's with drops George photography would not good.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe he can become more productive if he's not a focal point The focal point of the offense.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't get enough as much attention from the defense But to me, I mean, I hope as you said the arts for targets in that seven range And I hope you can get double the touchdowns I mean, that's really what you're paying the guy to do is big tight ends that they need to show Show in the red zone
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one where Lamar has never had any fear of throwing kind of a tall ball.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of the Ravens version of the fade, which they don't use at all.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: Throwing a tall ball to mark Andrews and he's got Chicobe Lane for some of those throws.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: Lane is a great fade player at USC.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: I still don't expect that in the Ravens office.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: I expect it to be linear throws basically that Lamar makes and the wandering left and right to try and find those throws open and also threaten with his legs.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: going on with the rest of the tight end group though.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: Matt Hibner needs to take some targets and they've got him on the on the on the I don't know why we can talk about the depth jerks we know it came from PR and it's not exactly what seems reasonable but Hibner's got to be the pack up to Andrews because he's really a flex guy he's not a
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: a block in an inline guy, that's, that's it would be more of a quave us roll.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: And they've got them on the, as a, what essentially looks like the fourth tight end on the roster, but I think he's actually just a caddy to Andrew, so he'll get, you know, a third of the snaps are a little bit more maybe, maybe he ends up with them.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: 45% of the snaps after he gets some a few inline snaps, maybe a few backfield snaps.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: I expect Quavus to be a fairly regularly used as a combination of a block or at the line of Scrimmage A to the backfield, so the Ravens hopefully are going to have to run out some football games when they do.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: They have to have some kind of...
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: full-backish player that they use, and that could be Andrew as it could be hidden here.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: It could be smite, but I think quave us as the obvious choice to me for a guy to get in for more of those reps. And then, during smite, there's never done much after the catch career, the famous stat, one mistackle force and 140-to-career receptions.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: But if you don't know that by now, by the way, it should be on your Bingo card come last day, if I think the Ravens are at death.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's still probably the Ravens have to rely on him a little bit as a receiver, given he'll be on the field so much.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he can make him completely into Eric Thomas and with the last couple of years.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: He hasn't had much in the way of targets, and so, you know, going above about 20 for
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: 20 to 25 anyways, it would seem to be significantly stretching in terms of that.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: I originally would have said 12 to 15 targets, but I think it almost has to be more given who else they've got a tight end position.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I would definitely agree with that.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: I do think he's going to be the primary blocker as a full back based off of how Doyle and Chepa Johnson used him with the bears last year.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think Kleeva's is going to be fighting for activations.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: So it really comes down to how do you think Hitler's going to fare as a rookie, going into
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: preseason games I think this would have been like a two for me, but they think the rookies did show enough that I would put tight ends probably out four at this point as far as strength relative strength.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: I've got it at a three and I admit there's a potential to surprise on the upside.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: I would say it is the Raven's weakest position group and I'm already giving away some things about the defense, but I don't think there's a question that it's the Raven's weakest position group.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're about to talk about the offensive line where I think there are some people still who think it's the offensive line this weakest position group, but take us through the offensive line.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: If we were splitting the offensive line into tackles and then interior linemen, I actually could interior linemen and play that would probably be well, but all right offense of tackles in a Ronnie
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: at a deep, I guess, a sea year by your trading last season.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's fall through injuries for most of his career now.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting older, so there's some risk of regression with Rani.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: John Simpson, we know his issues with penalties, Salith.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Beggle Yolane is a rookie and Rosengarten, well, I think he had a decent year last year, didn't really have the year to jump the people were hoping for.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I know there were some reports out of joint practices that he was having a tough time, blocking some of the past officers he was facing.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at the backups, Carson Vincent, maybe didn't have a quite the training camp we were hoping for, and we're Jones, maybe didn't either, and postsick.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: is so work as way back, and Voorhees didn't have a great preseason either.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I know we're all excited about Ledford.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: We think Ledford's going to improve the play.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: I do expect that.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: And not only do you put an earlier about Lamar Jackson helping the running backs or more helps the offensive right.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it would even when he's when he can be moved was not injured.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: So long story short, I won't let the six for the offensive line.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: Across my fingers that Ronnie is going to elevate a little higher than last year, but I hope he doesn't go in the other direction.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: All right, but maybe could happen, maybe a better set of help blocks from Simpson is going to help.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: And they also may give him more help on that side, which they were doing at times last year.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that I have a percentile rank, I'll give you the five, I have Ronnie at the 50th percentile for the left tackle group.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's reasonable that I think that would represent no drop-off in some ways.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's almost an optimal situation that you know, under
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: You have to kind of normally peg him for some decline due to age at this point, so expecting to be a 50, maybe above the mark you can actually deliver at.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I hope 50% I'd be very happy with.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: John Simpson, I don't know if I'm too high on this or not, but I'm a 30, 35th percentile.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: The guys, as had one good year in his career so far, and he said a bunch of years where his penalties have heard him, and if you're looking at PFF and you're trying to judge percentile ranks from that, they don't put in enough of a decrement in there for his penalties.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: So you're getting an overstated valuation of John Simpson to look at a PFF number, a particular
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: in terms of what he does.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, he will be some physicality of the line, and hopefully he delivers above a replacement level.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he is probably now, I would say, the worst lineman on the team.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's the weakest position, though, post a convoys are both kind of weak backups at this exact moment of time.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I think over the course of the season, I think the postsick back up situation may move into a better spot.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: And as part of the reason why I have center at a 40, I think they've gotten added prophylactic of, if Gwyn were to play significantly lower than a 40, that they would kind of force a move to postsick at some time during the season, where they'd expect, you know, a guy who has a reasonable chance to get him into the 40s and the
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: or about a 50 in terms of his aggregate relative to the whole league and he's almost there last year before the injury.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I have a 40 at center.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: At right guard, I have a bit at a 55.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think it could be 50, it could be 55.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, players starting in their first year have a lot of trouble.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: Any rookies, even first round rookies, even title and underbomb, you know, had a C year in his first year.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's probably going to happen with Venga again.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think we saw things in the preseason
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of teaching moments still available to him during that, and there's a lot of physicality to really appreciate.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: But that physicality does not overcome, you know, past blocking mistakes that get you in trouble.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: I just think there's some things I really love about it as a past blocker.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: This beyond the scope of this show, but I think some of his stunt handoffs included jolting that I really appreciate.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: And it may be part led for his managing depth well in that offensive line group, but I think that could be a real.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: a plus for this team.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: And then right tackle, I have also at a 55.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm expecting a little bit of growth from Rosengarten, who's probably a 50 last year, and is a guy I think could still take a big step forward.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: And there's some good conditioning things we've heard about him.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: But the three, the three places where I'm hoping for gains are at center, right guard and right tackle, the two places where I'm hoping we don't have additional losses are at lack of lack of a left guard.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, I don't know, it's maybe, maybe, let's pretend coach them up, but they, they exceed expectations.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think regardless, they are in a better place than they were last season.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: And offensive line of five for me, you added a six.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: Let's recap quickly.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: Your total score on offense was what?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: When you add up the five numbers.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, I went down at receiver.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, 17, 21, 33, 33.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and I'm at 32.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we're very close in terms of our overall score there.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, think of it this way.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's a 6.4 preposition for me.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's a 6.6 from Vossus perspective here.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: If you actually could deliver on that, every team in the entire NFL is under the same kind of cap constraints.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: You can't have attended every position.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: You can't do it.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: Not unless you suddenly a horde-up draft capital through a bad cycles and then go crazy.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: and hit on everything.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not possible to do.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: So, an average of over six is quite good and an average of seven would be just outstanding.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's very few NFL teams.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's why the Ravens have, you know, I thought to have one of the best two or three rosters in the entire league right now, and I think we're seeing it on the offensive side in kind of the ratings we give it.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: And if you were waiting positions, 10 according back still for the best place you can have a 10.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, and maybe I'd move the nine at running back somewhere else, but to the offensive line, but I still appreciate it as is.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
