- 0:05Speaker 1: through the Alabama show.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I've been hearing murders at my house over night.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Does that mean a bunch of crows? Is that what
- 0:20Speaker 3: you're talking about?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Oh, the murders of my roosters.
- 0:25Speaker 4: You're hearing them a couple of nights inw So I
- 0:29Speaker 4: let my roosters.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Sleep in the trees. I don't let them.
- 0:31Speaker 5: They do it.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I can't catch them and get them in a coop.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Yeah, And for the past couple of nights in a row,
- 0:38Speaker 4: for the past few weeks, every time I come home,
- 0:40Speaker 4: one is gone. I've hatched too many roosters, so you know,
- 0:44Speaker 4: needed to thin the herd anyway. But now it's down
- 0:47Speaker 4: to like two. One keeps going missing every couple of days.
- 0:51Speaker 4: So a few nights ago I heard one and then
- 0:54Speaker 4: it stopped, and I was like, I think somebody got
- 0:58Speaker 4: got And I did the count the next day.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Ain't it got got Well last night.
- 1:02Speaker 3: It happened again.
- 1:03Speaker 2: It's like then it stopped. If something's getting it.
- 1:07Speaker 4: In the trees and carrying it off and then it stops,
- 1:10Speaker 4: what does that?
- 1:12Speaker 3: What can be in the trees yet on the ground
- 1:14Speaker 3: at the same time.
- 1:15Speaker 4: No, it's not on the ground, it's in the air.
- 1:17Speaker 2: It's like I hear.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Whatever is taking them fly by my bedroom window to
- 1:21Speaker 4: let me know.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Hey, thanks for the dinner. Is it an owl or
- 1:24Speaker 2: a hawk? The hawks on at night?
- 1:26Speaker 3: I think only out do owls only un to night.
- 1:29Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I need somebody to call the show. Where's my animal expert?
- 1:32Speaker 3: You're not You're not finding it in this studio.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Three three five oo NBM is the number. We got
- 1:37Speaker 2: to do something. I gotta catch all my roosters. It's today.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know
- 1:41Speaker 2: what to do anymore.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Wrangle them up? Time for dinner.
- 1:44Speaker 2: No, we're not eating them anyway.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Good morning. Thank you for being here. If you would
- 1:48Speaker 4: like to call the show. Eight three three five oh
- 1:50Speaker 4: one Bama, it's.
- 1:52Speaker 5: What the hell headlines?
- 1:53Speaker 2: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:55Speaker 5: On the Alabama Show.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Racon fell through a ceiling at a restaurant and bit
- 2:02Speaker 4: a customer.
- 2:03Speaker 6: Why.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I really love raccoon stories.
- 2:07Speaker 4: This and it was at a fine dining restaurant and
- 2:10Speaker 4: like Geneva, Wisconsin, a raccoon fell out from the ceiling
- 2:13Speaker 4: bit one of the guests.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Who tried to grab the raccoon. Here's the call that
- 2:17Speaker 2: went out to Wildlife Control. Listened to this scle is
- 2:20Speaker 2: bit by your wacoon.
- 2:22Speaker 7: We don't know how this raccoon got there. It was
- 2:24Speaker 7: quite a large raccoon driving there as this thing was grawling, kissing,
- 2:27Speaker 7: scratching and when it gets really coold. Not uncommon to
- 2:29Speaker 7: get these calls for raccoons. They did all the right things.
- 2:31Speaker 7: They got medical care for the person that got bit.
- 2:33Speaker 7: He was taken to the hospital. And I felt like
- 2:35Speaker 7: I owed that to the person that got bit because
- 2:38Speaker 7: his entire process for his treatment relies basically solely on
- 2:41Speaker 7: do we get this anim or not?
- 2:42Speaker 4: Okay, Also, let's talk about this. If you see an
- 2:45Speaker 4: angry raccoon anywhere, that means they have Rby's, Please don't
- 2:49Speaker 4: try to catch them.

- 3:29Speaker 4: Lightning?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Okay, lightning?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Lightning?
- 3:33Speaker 4: Maybe you say it like a normal person. I'll dang
- 3:35Speaker 4: you lighting.
- 3:38Speaker 8: Congratulations, good job, buddy, I'm proud of you.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Thunder and the lightning.
- 3:53Speaker 5: There's three things you need to know with the element.

- 4:09Speaker 3: to be a good time.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So we do know.
- 4:10Speaker 4: They announced yesterday they're exploring opportunities to expand so over
- 4:14Speaker 4: the course of two years. It's going to take a
- 4:16Speaker 4: while to open all of them. But what we do
- 4:17Speaker 4: know is any location, a new location is opening soon
- 4:21Speaker 4: in Auburn. The closest one to us right now is
- 4:23Speaker 4: in Trustville, which is on my side of town.
- 4:26Speaker 3: It's not on my side, but it's fine.
- 4:27Speaker 2: It's worth the drive.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Today is the last day to ship gifts without paying
- 4:33Speaker 4: a lot more.
- 4:34Speaker 2: If you're using the Postal Service.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Today is the last day you can send it priority
- 4:38Speaker 4: mail to make sure that it gets there in time.

- 4:47Speaker 4: do it today because we are officially one week away
- 4:50Speaker 4: from Christmas. Rob Reiner and Michelle Reiner's kids have finally
- 4:55Speaker 4: issued a statement on their parents' death. This has been
- 4:59Speaker 4: the oldest news story. They were found dead in their
- 5:02Speaker 4: La home on Sunday. Their son Nick was arrested immediately
- 5:05Speaker 4: for and charged for their murders. So is it Rommy
- 5:10Speaker 4: or romy? How you pronounced their kid's name.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I think Rommy, I.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Think Ronny and Jake Reiner. The statements they released said
- 5:18Speaker 4: words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we
- 5:22Speaker 4: are experiencing every moment of the day.
- 5:25Speaker 2: The horrific and.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Devastating loss of our parents, Robin Michelle is something no
- 5:28Speaker 4: one should ever experience. They were not just our parents,
- 5:31Speaker 4: they were our best friends. Oh that is uh.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And I I.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Think that Nick is due to show up in court.
- 5:41Speaker 4: He was supposed to on Tuesday, but he wasn't medically
- 5:44Speaker 4: cleared yet, and we know he has a history with
- 5:46Speaker 4: addiction and mental illness. So we're just thinking about the
- 5:49Speaker 4: whole family because that is that is tough. That's three
- 5:53Speaker 4: things you need to know more at the Alabamashow dot
- 5:57Speaker 4: com The.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Alabama Show on demand free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 6:01Speaker 2: What would you do if.
- 6:02Speaker 4: You got a Mermaid statue for Christmas?
- 6:05Speaker 3: I would hang it up.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You can't hang it.
- 6:09Speaker 8: It's a statue.
- 6:10Speaker 9: That's the best part. I would set it up. I'd
- 6:13Speaker 9: probably hang it on the ceiling. Let it hang there.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 6:17Speaker 4: producer Blake. I'm I'm shopping right now for Christmas presents
- 6:22Speaker 4: for people. And I was talking to my friend yesterday
- 6:24Speaker 4: and I was like, there's one person that is the
- 6:27Speaker 4: hardest person to shop for.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And I was like, I don't want to just get.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Random stuff because I don't like getting random things that
- 6:35Speaker 4: I can't do anything with. I think they're stupid. And
- 6:37Speaker 4: my friend was like, Oh, I love the random choch keys.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I keep them.
- 6:40Speaker 4: I was like, I'm want to tell you about a
- 6:42Speaker 4: random chochki I got before. Okay, a freaking Mermaid statue
- 6:47Speaker 4: and I love you, my friend that gave it to me.
- 6:50Speaker 4: If you're listening to the show, she a girl that
- 6:52Speaker 4: gave it to me. We've been best friends for our
- 6:54Speaker 4: whole life. I love you to this. Thank you for
- 6:56Speaker 4: the thought and for giving me the gift. But you
- 6:58Speaker 4: know what I did with the mermaid statue? I got
- 7:00Speaker 4: it because nothing in my house has mermaids in it.
- 7:02Speaker 4: They go on to the thift store.
- 7:06Speaker 9: You just took it regifted is what I would call it.
- 7:10Speaker 4: I regifted it to somebody who will spend two.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Dollars on it that loves mermaids.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yes, you rehomed it purposefully.
- 7:17Speaker 10: I did.
- 7:18Speaker 3: That's that's the best way you could say that.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I didn't know what to do with it. So anyway,
- 7:22Speaker 2: what's the worst Christmas present? You've gone?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Beans? I got a can of beans?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Roll that beautiful bean footage?
- 7:33Speaker 3: Who gave me beans?
- 7:35Speaker 11: Uh?
- 7:35Speaker 9: We have a little ongoing joke between the cousins of
- 7:38Speaker 9: the family, so we each give each other the worst
- 7:40Speaker 9: gift imaginable each year.
- 7:42Speaker 3: So you knew it was coming. I didn't know it
- 7:43Speaker 3: was beans, and it was the first.
- 7:45Speaker 2: One we'd count.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I didn't know what was coming. I didn't that year.
- 7:49Speaker 4: When it's a genuine gift and it's a terrible gift,
- 7:52Speaker 4: and then how do you pretend like.
- 7:53Speaker 2: You're like, oh, thank you, I love it? How to
- 7:57Speaker 2: do that? In my mind, I was like marraid statue. Hey,
- 8:03Speaker 2: look there's I'm just not a Mermaid person.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I get it on me. But there's some good gifts
- 8:06Speaker 3: or some bad gifts.
- 8:07Speaker 9: I gifted my brother and anime calendar last year and
- 8:10Speaker 9: did he like it?
- 8:11Speaker 4: No?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, That's what I'm worried about. I've got to get somebody.
- 8:15Speaker 4: This woman a Christmas gift that's in my life.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And I have no idea what to get her, and
- 8:19Speaker 2: I don't want to give her a bad gift.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I don't know what to do. Hear me out gift card?
- 8:23Speaker 9: No, there's a thrift store that has a Mermaid statue.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Call the show eight three three five one. Bama is
- 8:31Speaker 2: the number? What was the worst gift you ever got?

- 8:39Speaker 4: the number? What's the worst Christmas Present You've ever gotten?
- 8:42Speaker 4: And you can also comment on the Alabama Show. What
- 8:44Speaker 4: are people saying on Instagram and Facebook?
- 8:46Speaker 9: Well, we have Danielle and jili Bean that both got
- 8:48Speaker 9: the same exact thing.
- 8:50Speaker 3: They got nothing.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Okay, what else? What are some other bad gifts?
- 8:55Speaker 3: Right now? The one person said they had a stalking
- 8:58Speaker 3: that was it?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Anything else?
- 9:01Speaker 3: That's it?
- 9:02Speaker 9: Right now We've got the stalking, nothing and a husband
- 9:06Speaker 9: that didn't do anything.
- 9:07Speaker 3: So that's I.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Met a lot of people had it do anything.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I don't think that's a Christmas gift.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I think that's a life choice. Call the show.

- 10:15Speaker 4: Three thirty five oh one Bama is the number to
- 10:18Speaker 4: call the show Todd, good morning. Do you have a
- 10:20Speaker 4: bad Christmas present? Yeah?
- 10:22Speaker 2: What is it?
- 10:22Speaker 12: The year before I divorced my wife, I got her
- 10:26Speaker 12: two hundred dollars very dust boots okay, two pair of them. Okay,
- 10:31Speaker 12: let's all for regular stuff. And then I got some
- 10:35Speaker 12: clearance dish rags.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Do you even wash the dishes?
- 10:39Speaker 9: Yes?
- 10:40Speaker 8: And a first aid kid.
- 10:41Speaker 2: What that is the word? So I see why y'all divorced?
- 10:45Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 10:46Speaker 12: In a Walmart uh, Walmart grocery bag, not even wrapping.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Oh my god, Walmart grocery bag.
- 10:51Speaker 9: You can get those literally anytime you can go, just
- 10:54Speaker 9: walk in and grab one.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Did you do anything to make her mad that year?
- 10:58Speaker 2: For Christmas? We're all fighting? Well, I'm glad you're out
- 11:01Speaker 2: of that relationship. You with somebody better now?
- 11:04Speaker 12: Oh no, I'm single. It's so much better.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I love you, buddy.
- 11:09Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Pentatonics is tonight. Don't forget it's going to be a
- 11:16Speaker 2: magical concert. Have you ever seen them live?
- 11:18Speaker 3: I've not seen them live.
- 11:20Speaker 4: They are so cool. I saw them live two years ago.
- 11:23Speaker 4: I cried because they don't use instruments. Their voices are
- 11:26Speaker 4: the instruments, and they all sing acapella together.
- 11:29Speaker 2: It's amazing. So if you want to go.
- 11:30Speaker 4: And you haven't gotten tickets yet, go to Ticketmaster. Pentatonics
- 11:33Speaker 4: that'll be tonight at the Legacy Arena. Selena Gomez just
- 11:38Speaker 4: explained why her voice sounds a little different recently. Have
- 11:41Speaker 4: you noticed this, like, if you follow her closely over
- 11:44Speaker 4: the years, her speaking voice sounds different.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I mean I wouldn't have I didn't pay that close
- 11:49Speaker 3: of attention.
- 11:50Speaker 4: She did a live and people have addressed it and
- 11:53Speaker 4: asked it, and she said her throat kind of swells
- 11:55Speaker 4: inside sometimes. That's all she's publicly shared. She's had several
- 11:59Speaker 4: medical issues. She had lupus. She has lupus, which led
- 12:03Speaker 4: to a kidney transplant in twenty seventeen. So she does
- 12:08Speaker 4: have medical issues, which I wonder if that also affects
- 12:11Speaker 4: her throat because lupus is autoimmune disease.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I believe so that's I think that's great.
- 12:16Speaker 4: So that could be why So she just you know,
- 12:18Speaker 4: she's grown, she's changing, she's going through the stuff. If
- 12:21Speaker 4: you are flying next week, remember that flying with gifts
- 12:24Speaker 4: can slow you down through TSA. The biggest thing you
- 12:26Speaker 4: can do is wait to wrap your presence till after
- 12:29Speaker 4: you get to your destination. But if you need to,
- 12:31Speaker 4: the TSA does recommend using gift bags instead of wrapping
- 12:35Speaker 4: paper in case they need to inspect it, so you
- 12:37Speaker 4: do not have to unwrap it. But here are the
- 12:39Speaker 4: things you can take through TSA. Christmas cookies, cakes, pies,
- 12:44Speaker 4: and fruitcakes because they're all solids. Yeah, do not take preserves,
- 12:50Speaker 4: maple syrup, champagne, and eggnog through TSA.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Check it into a bag, check it.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I'm guessing jello is also on the list, so I
- 13:00Speaker 3: Jello's a solid, but it's also not.
- 13:04Speaker 2: I would just buy the jello when you get there.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Who's flying with Jello? I don't know. Love lobsters can't
- 13:09Speaker 2: go their TSA. Who's flying with us?
- 13:11Speaker 4: That's three things you need to know more at the
- 13:14Speaker 4: Alabama Show dot com.
- 13:16Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demands free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:20Speaker 4: We love to share good news on the show, and
- 13:23Speaker 4: if you ever have any call in eight three three
- 13:25Speaker 4: five oh one, Bama is the number. Natalie, good morning,
- 13:28Speaker 4: what's your good news?
- 13:30Speaker 11: One thing I can say is adult son struggles with
- 13:34Speaker 11: addiction and he has been clean now for three weeks.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Oh girl, I'm going to try not to tear up
- 13:44Speaker 4: talking to you about this, but I love that you
- 13:48Speaker 4: are supporting him and showing him that you're proud of him.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I don't know if you know my story, but I
- 13:53Speaker 4: lost my mom to addiction five years ago and now
- 13:58Speaker 4: I am on the board of the addiction prevention Coalition
- 14:01Speaker 4: in town.
- 14:02Speaker 11: Oh interesting.
- 14:03Speaker 2: That's one of my.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Passion things is to help people struggling with addiction.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So I just want you to know.
- 14:10Speaker 4: I know that you have gone through a hard time
- 14:12Speaker 4: seeing your son go through addiction, and I am glad
- 14:15Speaker 4: that you are happy about his sobriety and that you
- 14:20Speaker 4: are proud of him and still have a relationship with him,
- 14:23Speaker 4: because that will be good for you both.
- 14:25Speaker 11: Well, yeah, we've been going through for a long time.
- 14:28Speaker 11: It started when he was eighteen, yeah, thirty two, so
- 14:31Speaker 11: we've had bounts of clean and then we have you know,
- 14:35Speaker 11: calls back there's something that says in that. So I
- 14:39Speaker 11: support him and tell him I know, if you can
- 14:41Speaker 11: do it again.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and if you know, I mean three weeks for
- 14:44Speaker 4: somebody who is in early recovery, that is a very
- 14:48Speaker 4: long time. That probably feels like a year to them.
- 14:50Speaker 4: So that's huge.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, good for him, Thank you for sharing.
- 14:55Speaker 5: You're listening to The Alabama Show on demand.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Contrary to everybody's believe here on the Alabama Show, producer
- 15:02Speaker 4: Blake and I do like each other. We tolerate each other,
- 15:07Speaker 4: my little brother, Come on, we do like each other.
- 15:09Speaker 3: We do, even though I.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Torture you sometimes.
- 15:11Speaker 4: But I so we're doing our Christmas gift exchange.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Yes, it's correct, and you can.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Call the show eight three three five oh one, Bama.
- 15:18Speaker 2: If you do this with.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Your co workers at work, I'm going to give you
- 15:23Speaker 4: mine that I got for you first. Okay, yeah, because
