Milwaukee police released bodycam footage of a June 16 shooting where officers fatally wounded 20-year-old Deontau J. Ransom in an apartment stairwell after responding to an “active shooter” call — a claim later disputed, as court docs say the gunfire was Ransom kicking his ex’s door. Ransom, who survived with a gunshot wound to the arm, was allegedly hiding a gun in his sweatshirt. Both he and his 19-year-old associate, Damarion Williams-Beal, face multiple felonies including armed burglary and domestic abuse charges, with court appearances set for July 20.
