- 0:11Speaker 1: going to be excited because I have Angie K from
- 0:13Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Why do I feel
- 0:17Speaker 1: so honored to be from Salt Lake City at this
- 0:21Speaker 1: moment in time? They are absolutely crushing it. ANGIEK has
- 0:27Speaker 1: become one of my most favorite housewives of all time.
- 0:30Speaker 1: And you guys know that that is a big, big
- 0:33Speaker 1: fucking statement because I have watched every episode of every
- 0:38Speaker 1: Housewives franchise from the beginning. She's crushing. She is here.
- 0:44Speaker 1: She is the girl who doesn't eat French fries, only
- 0:47Speaker 1: does franchise. We have Angie Katzanavis. All right, ang I'm
- 0:53Speaker 1: so excited to have you. I've been like tweaking out
- 0:56Speaker 1: over this. You're my most favorite housewife and I've watched
- 0:59Speaker 1: every single episode of every single Housewives franchise.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Are you being serious?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yeah? I told you this. When we shot up fronts,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I was like, I fuck with you hard.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I mean, you just took my stock way up because
- 1:12Speaker 3: I felt the same about you.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So thank you.
- 1:14Speaker 1: You're making Salt Lake look so good. I'm so proud
- 1:17Speaker 1: to be from there. I want to jump in very
- 1:20Speaker 1: quickly because when I started hearing about this like reinvented
- 1:24Speaker 1: let's like swap lives and do Real Housewives wife swap,
- 1:30Speaker 1: it was like, I wonder who they're going to get
- 1:33Speaker 1: to do this? What made you say yes? Well?
- 1:37Speaker 3: You know, I remember hearing about the show when I
- 1:39Speaker 3: was little, like it was so long ago, and I thought, Wow,
- 1:43Speaker 3: how crazy would that be to live someone else's life?
- 1:47Speaker 3: And for this opportunity to come to me, like what
- 1:50Speaker 3: is it twenty years later or or more?
- 1:52Speaker 2: Is so crazy? Uh?
- 1:54Speaker 3: You know? For me, I just love to say yes
- 1:56Speaker 3: every opportunity, like every learning of opportunity.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Do you love that?
- 2:02Speaker 3: Like every learning opportunity, I think it's always an opportunity
- 2:05Speaker 3: for growth and transformation. And it became just that you do.
- 2:12Speaker 1: You wear many hats though, and I think that you
- 2:15Speaker 1: are a testament to how women can kind of do
- 2:18Speaker 1: it all now not kind of, they very much can
- 2:20Speaker 1: do it all. You're you're a mom, You're a fantastic cook.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I've seen you whipping things up in the kitchen and
- 2:27Speaker 1: you're a business owner, Like I feel like it's the
- 2:31Speaker 1: perfect fit for you to kind of step into a
- 2:34Speaker 1: role that you're so used to doing.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah, And you know, for me, I'm excited for the
- 2:40Speaker 3: audience to get to see another side of me. I
- 2:43Speaker 3: was back, you know, working with small children again, playing
- 2:46Speaker 3: with small children again, and right now I'm in the
- 2:49Speaker 3: role of being a teenage mom. So that was different,
- 2:52Speaker 3: but it was you know, it's where like being a
- 2:55Speaker 3: mother's one of the roles in my life. I think
- 2:58Speaker 3: I am the best at and it was was so natural.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I took to it like you know, breath and so
- 3:04Speaker 3: to be put back in the role of being with
- 3:05Speaker 3: small children, that is really where I shine.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Being in the home is where I shine.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's you have to stay. How long did you
- 3:14Speaker 1: have to be in that role for.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I was there for four days, and I honestly felt
- 3:21Speaker 3: like I was there for months.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I know that sounds crazy.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I became so immersed in their life that I felt
- 3:26Speaker 3: like I've been part of this family for months. I
- 3:31Speaker 3: know that's crazy, and I think this family and I
- 3:34Speaker 3: were It was fate that I was put with this
- 3:38Speaker 3: particular family and the connection and the bonding that happened
- 3:42Speaker 3: so immediately made me feel like we had been a
- 3:45Speaker 3: part of each other's lives for a long time and
- 3:48Speaker 3: that we are you know, will continue to be a
- 3:51Speaker 3: part of each other's lives. In fact, I invited them
- 3:54Speaker 3: over to watch the show, and they're coming in tonight
- 3:57Speaker 3: to my home and I'm self thrilled to see that
- 4:00Speaker 3: they're going to spend the night in my house and
- 4:02Speaker 3: we're going to watch the show together.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Wait, Ange, I have chills. That is so cute.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yes, it's really special. And the little girl and I
- 4:10Speaker 3: bonded and it was so special that I just can't
- 4:14Speaker 3: wait to hug her and hold her again.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Well, I can't wait to watch I'm like very excited.
- 4:19Speaker 1: All they had to say was housewife addition, and I
- 4:21Speaker 1: was like, I'm all in, did you ever in a
- 4:25Speaker 1: million years, like I know that you were popping in
- 4:28Speaker 1: to Salt Lake here and there, and it just made
- 4:32Speaker 1: sense for you to kind of be a full time
- 4:34Speaker 1: cast member, but like, did you ever envision that it
- 4:36Speaker 1: would lead to like such I don't want to say random,
- 4:40Speaker 1: but I guess it is a random opportunity to be like, hey,
- 4:43Speaker 1: wife swap is coming back, Like, did you think that
- 4:45Speaker 1: Salt Lake City Housewives would lead you down a path
- 4:48Speaker 1: of like such greatness?
- 4:50Speaker 2: Absolutely not.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I mean everything's happened just so organically and so authentically,
- 4:57Speaker 3: and you know, it's kind of real, honestly, because I
- 5:01Speaker 3: just showed.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Up to work.
- 5:03Speaker 3: I love the job, I love the ladies. You know,
- 5:05Speaker 3: there's chemistry, there's real relationships, and I'm just having fun
- 5:09Speaker 3: with it. I never thought it would have turned into
- 5:13Speaker 3: another a second opportunity, and so I feel really blessed
- 5:17Speaker 3: and it's very humbling, and I just I always come
- 5:19Speaker 3: from a place of gratitude. I was so grateful when
- 5:22Speaker 3: I received a call and was told like you were
- 5:24Speaker 3: the first person we thought of for this, and I
- 5:26Speaker 3: just thought, wow, like this is another opportunity that has
- 5:31Speaker 3: come my way through this whole journey, and I am
- 5:34Speaker 3: so grateful.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Is Lunatic Fringe just you know that I had a
- 5:39Speaker 1: friend whose mom and her husband worked at Lunatic Fringe.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So I've known it since I was in like the
- 5:46Speaker 1: seventh grade. You guys have been alive and all for
- 5:49Speaker 1: many years.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Lah lah, that's so crazy.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I've been open for almost twenty seven years, and of
- 5:55Speaker 3: course with you being from Utah, Yeah, that is so cool.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yeah. I just remember she would her name is Mariah,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and she would always come to school with like the
- 6:05Speaker 1: coolest hair and with like merch on that said lunatic Fringe.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It was so fabulous. So the moment I was like,
- 6:13Speaker 1: oh my gosh, she's the owner.
- 6:16Speaker 2: That is so awesome.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Wow.
- 6:18Speaker 2: So we were connected from the beginning.
- 6:20Speaker 1: From the beginning. Have you noticed, like people are coming
- 6:23Speaker 1: into Salt Lake City to act like tourists, but they
- 6:26Speaker 1: bop into the salon.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yes, I mean we were already at mexicapacity. We were
- 6:30Speaker 3: already busy in books. But people do come in and say,
- 6:34Speaker 3: I can't believe you're here. If I happen to be there,
- 6:37Speaker 3: like I am a huge fan of the show, I
- 6:39Speaker 3: never thought, you know, I would come in at the
- 6:41Speaker 3: same time as you, or they come on tours and
- 6:43Speaker 3: they're visiting all of our businesses and so yeah, it's
- 6:46Speaker 3: fun when people actually come in when you're there.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I know, I remember on vander Pump Rules people would
- 6:53Speaker 1: come in and I was, you know, an actual hostess,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and they'd be like, you work here. I'm like, yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 1: it's real, it's all very real.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a dream for them. You're in their
- 7:02Speaker 3: living room and then they walk in and meet you.
- 7:04Speaker 3: So it's a lot of fun. I love meeting fans
- 7:06Speaker 3: at the show in the salon.
- 7:18Speaker 1: How are you different from real life versus real life?
- 7:22Speaker 1: I always say that there's there's It's very much the
- 7:25Speaker 1: same thing, but there is a difference. Like are you
- 7:28Speaker 1: always that quick with your tongue, because and you're like
- 7:30Speaker 1: crushing this season. You always crush, But the shit that's
- 7:34Speaker 1: coming out of your mouth, you could have so many
- 7:36Speaker 1: different merch sayings.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I know, you know.
- 7:41Speaker 3: I was always told I was funny and witty, and
- 7:44Speaker 3: I remember I was twelve years old and one of
- 7:46Speaker 3: my Greek friends she said, you are so witty and
- 7:49Speaker 3: I didn't even know what the word meant. Isn't that funny?
- 7:51Speaker 3: I said, what does that mean? She said, well, you're
- 7:54Speaker 3: just so quick. And that was in seventh grade. So
- 7:57Speaker 3: I've I've been this way my whole life, and I
- 8:00Speaker 3: never thought that it would just become my role or
- 8:05Speaker 3: or it's my job. I guess you know now, it's
- 8:08Speaker 3: like they do come flying out.
- 8:10Speaker 2: They're authentic.
- 8:11Speaker 3: A lot of funny stuff has always come to me
- 8:14Speaker 3: and it's like secretive, little funny jobs that you could
- 8:17Speaker 3: only say to your gay friends, or to your best year,
- 8:18Speaker 3: or to your sister.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And now I just get a sam. It's like the
- 8:21Speaker 2: coolest thing.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Isn't it the best?
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yes? Yes, it's such a rush, it is.
- 8:26Speaker 3: And I've told people I was voted funniest in school
- 8:29Speaker 3: two years in a row. So I've always just had
- 8:32Speaker 3: crazy things going on up there, and it's just fun
- 8:34Speaker 3: to share them with the whole world.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Now, the French fries and franchise, Where did that? How
- 8:39Speaker 1: did that come to you? That's so gious?
- 8:42Speaker 2: I don't know, and.
- 8:42Speaker 3: People are you know, it's funny when you see someone
- 8:45Speaker 3: say this is a rehearse rate, It's like, how can
- 8:47Speaker 3: you be rehearsed like you Someone might say your business
- 8:50Speaker 3: or talk about your business, but the word franchise in it.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I never in a million years thought that would like
- 8:56Speaker 3: come out come up, so I know it just it
- 8:59Speaker 3: just rhymed it sound French fries franch I don't.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Know, it just came out.
- 9:03Speaker 3: And I do my best work when I'm heated, which
- 9:05Speaker 3: is terrible because then sometimes the not so nice things
- 9:09Speaker 3: come out too, so it can be great and it
- 9:12Speaker 3: can also be.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Dangerous, yes, but I feel like we have a group
- 9:16Speaker 1: of women. Listen to me. We we have a group
- 9:19Speaker 1: of women this season where I feel like you guys
- 9:22Speaker 1: all rise to the occasion. You guys can go toes
- 9:24Speaker 1: with the best of them. But I do find because
- 9:27Speaker 1: there's so much history, there is always room for the
- 9:31Speaker 1: forgiving heart to still exist. And I think that's what's
- 9:35Speaker 1: making this season so amazing.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Well, these women, we do love each other, that's real.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Well you have friendships that went well beyond this
- 9:45Speaker 1: show existing because what we're only on season six, right? Six?
- 9:49Speaker 2: Uh huh?
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah? And I always say I think that the perfect
- 9:53Speaker 1: the recipe to the perfect Housewives City franchise is when
- 9:59Speaker 1: you can have conflict and resolution. Once the resolution aspect ends,
- 10:04Speaker 1: the show is kind of done. And you guys have
- 10:08Speaker 1: crushed it so much so that you did that incredible
- 10:11Speaker 1: photo shoot for US Weekly. I die. I mean what
- 10:16Speaker 1: they just gave you guys a call and said we
- 10:17Speaker 1: want to put you on the cover and do it
- 10:19Speaker 1: like very desperate housewives.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yes, and what was great?
- 10:22Speaker 3: I think some of us were probably I mean I
- 10:25Speaker 3: hadn't seen some of the women since we you know, wrapped,
- 10:30Speaker 3: so to be back in that environment, it was really
- 10:32Speaker 3: amazing to see everyone come together. Everyone was excited to
- 10:35Speaker 3: be there. It was like we all loved our job.
- 10:38Speaker 3: We showed up and we got through it. It was
- 10:41Speaker 3: great energy in there. It was so much fun.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So you guys got to laugh and things like that.
- 10:45Speaker 2: We did, we did. It was great.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like kind of another bonding moment, and
- 10:51Speaker 3: we had to look at it as like business, like, Wow,
- 10:54Speaker 3: our show is being acknowledged as one of the greatest
- 10:58Speaker 3: shows on reality television and we're being given this great opportunity.
- 11:01Speaker 3: And I think everyone just felt grateful for that and
- 11:03Speaker 3: could kind of look past things that have happened, and
- 11:07Speaker 3: you know, there's still some issues there, but everyone was
- 11:09Speaker 3: so incredible and we looked past what was going on
- 11:12Speaker 3: and we just came together as a team and came
- 11:15Speaker 3: together for ourselves, for the fans, for the show.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Was right awesome.
- 11:19Speaker 1: You were able to live in the moment.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yes, that was a celebration, right, regardless of what's going
- 11:25Speaker 3: on with us personally and the issues that are, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 3: the underlying issues. It was a celebration of the success
- 11:31Speaker 3: of the show and celebrating each other.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, what's going on with this Britney person, because I'm
- 11:39Speaker 1: very confused by I'm very in.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Me, both you and me. Both. Brittany's an interesting character.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Yeah, and I just watched the episode where she's talking
- 11:48Speaker 1: to you about your house and how like it's not
- 11:50Speaker 1: a good look that you drop prices. I'm like, I'm
- 11:52Speaker 1: no real estate agent, but that's just like the biz, right, yes, yes, and.
- 11:56Speaker 3: You know what it is like in this area and
- 11:59Speaker 3: in this market, I mean where I live. Obviously, you know,
- 12:02Speaker 3: we started out aggressively and we did have a price decrease,
- 12:05Speaker 3: and I just thought, wow, that was crazy that if
- 12:09Speaker 3: she really wanted my business, she should have taken me
- 12:11Speaker 3: to coffee, not brought it up at lunch. And I
- 12:14Speaker 3: really have yet to see her sell anything, or I've
- 12:17Speaker 3: never heard of her selling anything. So it was awkward.
- 12:20Speaker 3: But Britney's sweet. She just says some things sometimes that
- 12:24Speaker 3: are just bizarre. And yeah, so it was bizarre, but
- 12:29Speaker 3: maybe it makes for fun and laughs for the audience.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Well, it was very it was very petty conflict, which
- 12:36Speaker 1: I think is what makes housewives great.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Well, that's what I do want to say about her,
- 12:40Speaker 3: to keep it in the light. Is like Britney does
- 12:43Speaker 3: bring up some petty conflict and I would much rather be,
- 12:46Speaker 3: you know, having petty conflict in area code or zip
- 12:50Speaker 3: code arguments.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Versus things that are deeper and more hurtful.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So that's what made Housewives great from the beginning. Yet
- 12:58Speaker 1: to see where it was the petty little conflict that
- 13:02Speaker 1: was so relatable, Like everybody has had those moments with
- 13:05Speaker 1: a friend where it's like easy to get over, but
- 13:08Speaker 1: I do find and I actually feel badly. And you
- 13:10Speaker 1: don't even have to comment on this, but I was looking.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I was watching her. I've been watching her, and I
- 13:15Speaker 1: think because of her upbringing and not many experiences happening
- 13:19Speaker 1: for her in life, that she's a bit emotionally stunted,
- 13:25Speaker 1: Like it almost feels that there are moments you are
- 13:27Speaker 1: talking to a child.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I guess if the fans enjoy, you know, seeing.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Us get a little frustrated with her at time or
- 13:36Speaker 3: at times, or just calling her out for just little
- 13:39Speaker 3: ditchy things she says and does, because she can be
- 13:42Speaker 3: a little frustrating. But I don't know if maybe that's
- 13:45Speaker 3: what the show needs, is some of these sort of fun,
- 13:48Speaker 3: little delusional moments. So I'm still trying to figure it
- 13:51Speaker 3: out too. I think along with the fans, I'm still
- 13:54Speaker 3: figuring Britney out.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Is this your first season with a snowflake in your hand?
- 14:00Speaker 2: No, I've been full time since season four, so my second.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You're okay, your second. Did anyone freak out that you
- 14:07Speaker 1: were in the center this year?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Well, no one ever says they freak out. I do know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: Like in the US Weekly.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Interview, Lisa said it was based on your height and
- 14:19Speaker 3: your dress.
- 14:20Speaker 1: But that would makes sense because she talked about how
- 14:22Speaker 1: short you were in this last episode, so that.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Capt I know, you put the tiniest one in the
- 14:26Speaker 3: middle and everyone around You're right, I am a shorty,
- 14:30Speaker 3: I'm patite.
- 14:31Speaker 2: But yes, I wouldn't say freak out.
- 14:34Speaker 3: But I didn't hear from everyone, you know, as far
- 14:37Speaker 3: as like a congratulations, So I don't know.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I feel like that was a big that was like
- 14:41Speaker 1: a big win.
- 14:42Speaker 3: It's a huge win. Yeah, of course it is. And
- 14:45Speaker 3: I would celebrate anyone that winds up in the middle
- 14:49Speaker 3: and send them a you know, of okay of flowers
- 14:52Speaker 3: right like it's excite.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I believe that from you, Yeah, yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I would, So I think sometimes I expected some of
- 14:58Speaker 3: my castmates to be a little more excited for me,
- 15:01Speaker 3: and sometimes they're just not. And I think, you know,
- 15:05Speaker 3: that's a bummer. But you know, hopefully when when someone
- 15:09Speaker 3: else gets it, I will, I will celebrate them.
- 15:12Speaker 2: So yeah, it is. It's a big deal.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I don't like it when people try and downplay it,
- 15:15Speaker 3: because I wouldn't downplay it if it was one of
- 15:17Speaker 3: my cast members.
- 15:18Speaker 1: No, especially because considering how many seasons have happened, you
- 15:22Speaker 1: are considered a new housewife and I think, I mean,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I believe what. We're not even halfway there yet with
- 15:30Speaker 1: the season, but I my heart is getting sad because
- 15:34Speaker 1: I feel like you and Mary are about to fall off.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Do you How are you today? Without giving story away
- 15:40Speaker 1: and giving away too much, are we hopeful?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Well, I think that we have some ups and downs,
- 15:47Speaker 3: and I want to stay hopeful without giving too much away.
- 15:50Speaker 3: I'm having Mary over for dinner tonight for her birthday. Okay,
- 15:53Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean we went through a lot, and
- 15:57Speaker 3: you know that's just the challenges.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I think of friendship, and not only friendships, but we
- 16:02Speaker 2: have other, you know, outside influences. Being on the show.
- 16:06Speaker 3: We are becoming more honest with each other versus being
- 16:09Speaker 3: on eggshells, and so I think when you say how
- 16:11Speaker 3: you really feel, sometimes feelings get hurt. I'm learning what
- 16:15Speaker 3: makes her tick, I'm learning what irritates her, and that's
- 16:18Speaker 3: part of getting.
- 16:19Speaker 2: To know someone. So you know, you'll see ups and
- 16:22Speaker 2: downs for the season.
- 16:23Speaker 3: But I think we navigated things pretty well and we
- 16:27Speaker 3: we come out pretty good on the other side.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I love that.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I love Mary. She makes me laugh, She's funny,
- 16:34Speaker 2: She's the end of my yang.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I mean, I get her, and that's why I think,
- 16:39Speaker 3: like this fart fight that's already out there that so
- 16:41Speaker 3: it wouldn't be a spoiler. I get her and it's
- 16:45Speaker 3: funny to watch, you know, rewatch that moment because she
- 16:48Speaker 3: was really upset and I felt it. You know, I
- 16:51Speaker 3: just thought, Okay, I just need to remain calm and talk.
- 16:53Speaker 3: This fart came through with her, and while somebody might
- 16:56Speaker 3: not have taken it seriously, she was serious and I
- 16:58Speaker 3: knew that I had to take it seriously and handle
- 17:02Speaker 3: it with care.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and we got through it.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I love that you got through it. And I always
- 17:09Speaker 1: like the unlikely friendships that come to be. Are there
- 17:12Speaker 1: any unlikely friendships that are going to kind of shock us.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I mean, I think that alliances shift a lot, but
- 17:22Speaker 3: in some of the alliances that you have seen, so
- 17:26Speaker 3: probably not nothing shocking. Nothing is shocking as marrying me.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I want to ask you about your family. Has it
- 17:45Speaker 1: been hard, because I know it all sounds like the
- 17:48Speaker 1: best time ever when you're thinking about going on a
- 17:51Speaker 1: reality TV show and I know that you went through
- 17:55Speaker 1: some things that were being said about your marriage. Are
- 17:59Speaker 1: you guys fine that the show is actually creating a
- 18:02Speaker 1: stronger bond between you guys?
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it does.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I mean you really have to have that like love
- 18:08Speaker 3: and respect and trust before you do this. I really
- 18:11Speaker 3: had no idea what I was getting into. That just
- 18:14Speaker 3: all just threw me for a loop. To be honest,
- 18:16Speaker 3: I thought, oh, is this what the show is? Because
- 18:18Speaker 3: by nature, like, I'm funny and fun and I just
- 18:22Speaker 3: expected something different. So it was a little shocking that
- 18:26Speaker 3: that's where they went with it.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But I think I.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Came out on top because it's not Sean and I
- 18:32Speaker 3: that look bad.
- 18:32Speaker 2: It's the people that are gossiping about us.
- 18:35Speaker 3: So that's why I felt like, you know what, I
- 18:37Speaker 3: think we handled ourselves well. It could have became a
- 18:40Speaker 3: negative thing, but I think it showed how positive we
- 18:44Speaker 3: handle the situation.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Really, when you have the.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Opportunity to show how you handle things, that's where you shine.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Yeah so, And honestly, like now there's like soup man
- 18:54Speaker 3: or whatever flying around, like you just kind of really
- 18:57Speaker 3: learn that things are, you know, crazy things as they're said,
- 19:00Speaker 3: and you just have to start to learn. You can
- 19:03Speaker 3: be hurt that the people are saying it trying to
- 19:05Speaker 3: hope that a rumor gets legs, but you just have
- 19:09Speaker 3: to start to learn.
- 19:09Speaker 2: To laugh it off.
- 19:11Speaker 3: If I could just look at as a comedy show,
- 19:13Speaker 3: maybe that's how you take things a little lighter and
- 19:15Speaker 3: a little less to heart.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Because this too shall pass. Everything always you know, ends
- 19:22Speaker 1: up old news. And I think that that's a smart
- 19:25Speaker 1: way to look at it. What is your relationship like
- 19:28Speaker 1: with the comment section.
- 19:31Speaker 3: You know, I think it's been pretty great. I get
- 19:33Speaker 3: a lot of love from the fans. You know, there's
- 19:35Speaker 3: moments where you don't handle things in the best way
- 19:38Speaker 3: because you're emotional. And look, I've learned that from week
- 19:42Speaker 3: to week there's ups and downs and that's real life, right,
- 19:47Speaker 3: Like we are thrown into a situation and we just
- 19:50Speaker 3: do our best to come out of it in our
- 19:53Speaker 3: best light.
- 19:54Speaker 2: And the one thing that I have learned though.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Is things these episodes become transformative for me, like how
- 20:02Speaker 3: can I become a better person?
- 20:03Speaker 2: How can I grow from this? And how can I
- 20:05Speaker 2: learn from this?
- 20:06Speaker 3: So I don't take the comment section too seriously when
- 20:09Speaker 3: it's negative, because I know that I learned a lot
- 20:12Speaker 3: from that moment and that that little rift in a
- 20:16Speaker 3: friendship or from that conversation. So I'm always learning and growing,
- 20:20Speaker 3: and I know I'm not the same person I was
- 20:22Speaker 3: last year when I filmed this particular episode. I have become,
- 20:27Speaker 3: you know, I've learned and grown and I have two transformed.
- 20:30Speaker 3: You know, I'm another year older and another year wiser.
- 20:32Speaker 3: So but I do love all the love obviously, but
- 20:35Speaker 3: who doesn't.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 20:38Speaker 3: But I've learned not to take it too seriously because
- 20:41Speaker 3: you know, we were not the same person we were
- 20:43Speaker 3: when we filmed that episode.
- 20:45Speaker 1: No, not at all. It was another experience that you
- 20:47Speaker 1: learned from. Yes, do you and Lisa ever douke it
- 20:50Speaker 1: out to the point of resolution? If you can even
- 20:54Speaker 1: tell us?
- 20:54Speaker 2: I think you'll see ups and downs with us this season.
- 20:57Speaker 3: You know, like we move on from hurtful moments and
- 21:02Speaker 3: we have some fun and then something hurtful comes along
- 21:05Speaker 3: again and we have to address it.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Did you have that type of relationship with her before
- 21:10Speaker 1: cameras picked up? Was it kind of up? And no?
- 21:13Speaker 3: No, I think when you get you know, coming onto
- 21:16Speaker 3: the show and groups of friends, and you know, sometimes
- 21:19Speaker 3: being put in this position where the comment section says
- 21:23Speaker 3: one thing people feel it upsets people and then they
- 21:27Speaker 3: feel like they have to go in the comment section
- 21:30Speaker 3: or go host to defend or prove, and that just
- 21:33Speaker 3: makes things worse. So sometimes the opinion of the fans
- 21:38Speaker 3: and the comment section viewers matters more to some people
- 21:42Speaker 3: than it does to others.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Right, No, absolutely, There's definitely people who I've done shows
- 21:48Speaker 1: with where I'm like, Okay, we care about the perception
- 21:51Speaker 1: of things more than the reality of things.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Yes, I'm trying to stay in the reality of things, right,
- 21:56Speaker 3: because people's views of you changes.
- 21:59Speaker 1: We week, Oh you're on a pedestal one day with
- 22:03Speaker 1: the audience, and literally the next week they want you
- 22:05Speaker 1: dead in their backyard.
- 22:06Speaker 3: So absolutely, as soon as you can grasp that, it's like, okay.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Right, stick to your truth because the only person going
- 22:14Speaker 1: to bed in your head at night is you, Yes,
- 22:17Speaker 1: and you know, like.
- 22:17Speaker 3: I want my daughter to know that it doesn't matter
- 22:19Speaker 3: what people say about us. We look in the mirror
- 22:21Speaker 3: and we know who we are. And that's really the
- 22:23Speaker 3: attitude you have to have with the shew.
- 22:26Speaker 1: It really, it really is. And I've I've watched on
- 22:31Speaker 1: these platforms make or break people and for me, I
- 22:35Speaker 1: know that I get affected when you see something over
- 22:39Speaker 1: and over again. So I have to stay out of
- 22:42Speaker 1: the comments section. I have to like keep you know,
- 22:45Speaker 1: my head where my feet are and I can't venture
- 22:47Speaker 1: into it or we're in a full spiral. Then I'm
- 22:49Speaker 1: not present for my kids, whereas you're kind of you're
- 22:53Speaker 1: in that zone of Electra is watching you, and you know,
- 22:57Speaker 1: my girls are My girls are young right now. Of
- 22:59Speaker 1: course they're walked me. But you're in a very delicate
- 23:03Speaker 1: and vulnerable spot right now. With Electra's age.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yes, a teenager, it's really important.
- 23:09Speaker 3: It's also really important for me to let her know, Look,
- 23:13Speaker 3: we love the love from the fans, but that what
- 23:17Speaker 3: people say about us doesn't define us. And I you know,
- 23:21Speaker 3: just remember who you are. Have a strong sense of self,
- 23:23Speaker 3: you know, have a strong identity and remember who you are,
- 23:26Speaker 3: and I don't let her see me ever get my
- 23:29Speaker 3: feathers ruffled about what someone says. And I think that's
- 23:32Speaker 3: a great example that we can all give our children
- 23:35Speaker 3: right no matter what age, because she is at that
- 23:37Speaker 3: age where social media is a thing and TikTok's a thing.
- 23:40Speaker 3: So yeah, it's important for me to just be an
- 23:44Speaker 3: example and let her know that if someone brings us
- 23:48Speaker 3: up here and says you're a queen, then you know,
- 23:51Speaker 3: that's like, we can't double down on that too much
- 23:53Speaker 3: because the next day they could say you're horrible. So
- 23:57Speaker 3: if you know who you are, none of that matters.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I love this. I want to know what is the
- 24:02Speaker 1: most iconic line that you look at on your time
- 24:05Speaker 1: being on Housewives whor you're like, I really freaking slave
- 24:08Speaker 1: in that moment.
- 24:09Speaker 3: It's got to be high body count hair. It just
- 24:12Speaker 3: does because it's authentic to me, as you know, having
- 24:15Speaker 3: been a hairdresser, being in the beauty industry, owning salons.
- 24:19Speaker 3: It just it came out, and I mean it's nothing
- 24:24Speaker 3: I ever in a million years thought I would be
- 24:27Speaker 3: arguing about. Would be somebody's hair looking a little cornish
- 24:30Speaker 3: or a little high BodyCount hair, So.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You know you're fucking cool because I was I'm like,
- 24:36Speaker 1: what is high body count?
- 24:37Speaker 2: Like?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Uh?
- 24:38Speaker 1: And someone had to explain it to me and I
- 24:40Speaker 1: was like, I've never heard that before. That is so
- 24:43Speaker 1: genius and I use it all the time now.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Yeah, people are like, where did that come from? It's
- 24:47Speaker 3: like it just came out. I never in a million
- 24:49Speaker 3: years thought I would be in this predicament with Brittany
- 24:52Speaker 3: and then for her hair to be looking like that
- 24:54Speaker 3: that day.
- 24:55Speaker 2: It just was like the perfect storm.
- 24:58Speaker 3: But people seem to love it and it's funny and
- 25:00Speaker 3: it's a it's a read only a hairdresser could really deliver.
- 25:03Speaker 1: So it was so good. I love it. My last
- 25:07Speaker 1: question before I release you into the wild is how
- 25:10Speaker 1: does one get the product bracelet that I can literally
- 25:13Speaker 1: scan and charge anything on. How much do you have
- 25:15Speaker 1: to spend?
- 25:16Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I don't even know.
- 25:18Speaker 3: To be honest, it just showed up in the box
- 25:20Speaker 3: with a little note, a handwritten note. I didn't ask
- 25:24Speaker 3: for it, it just showed up. I don't know if
- 25:25Speaker 3: it's something they were doing temporarily. I don't know if
- 25:27Speaker 3: it's even still a thing, and it's just a little
- 25:30Speaker 3: black I should have worn it.
- 25:31Speaker 2: It's just a little.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Black leather bracelet and it says, Traden, you can just
- 25:34Speaker 3: tap it, but I hadn't properly, Like what do you
- 25:39Speaker 3: call it?
- 25:39Speaker 2: When you get a card.
- 25:40Speaker 1: And you have to active, you have to activate it.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so for so long I was scared to use it.
- 25:47Speaker 3: But I'm like that it's real. But yeah, it's such
- 25:50Speaker 3: a cool concept because I lose cards all the time.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and now you've got a product bracelet that looks fabulous.
- 25:56Speaker 1: It is. We just get to swipe in yea.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I love a credit card like one year, so this way,
- 26:01Speaker 3: you're just wearing it, right.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I love it.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I'm so happy passion statement. No one would even know.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I loved the whole thing, the throwing the credit cards
- 26:09Speaker 1: with your name all over it, and then bringing up
- 26:11Speaker 1: the freaking Prada bracelet. I was like, everything that's happening
- 26:14Speaker 1: right now is just gold. Thank you.
- 26:18Speaker 2: It was a crazy episode. I was definitely heated.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I came down from the next week and was like,
- 26:23Speaker 3: oh my goodness, I cannot react like that every week.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Well, by the way, as a viewer, we thank you
- 26:30Speaker 1: for your service.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Oh thank you. Okay, that means the world for me.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Thank you. You know the drill and we're here for it.
- 26:37Speaker 3: That crazy NGK can't come out every week. That would
- 26:39Speaker 3: be too much, but.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Well, don't deprive us, girl.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Thank you for all looking for it. Oh you're the best,
- 26:46Speaker 2: La La.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Thank you, of course, thank you for being on my podcast.
- 26:49Speaker 1: You guys, thank you for listening to another episode of
- 26:51Speaker 1: Untraditionally La La. I'm going to catch you guys next week. Bye.
