- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to KFI AM six forty, the Bill Handles
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Here's my question, Amy, you may know it the amount
- 0:14Speaker 2: of money that's being spent, how much was asked for
- 0:17Speaker 2: and how much was cut overall? Because the story doesn't
- 0:20Speaker 2: tell us, because this could be virtually all the money
- 0:23Speaker 2: asked for, or it could be a fraction of what
- 0:26Speaker 2: was asked for in normally California.
- 0:28Speaker 3: When you get I do not have that information, great hand.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Yeah I didn't either, So I went to you to
- 0:34Speaker 2: embarrass you.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Oh you were by the way. I knew you didn't know.
- 0:38Speaker 2: That's why I asked. And now handle on the news,
- 0:43Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle. Good morning everybody. It
- 0:48Speaker 2: is a Thursday morning, March nineteenth, and as you may imagine,
- 0:55Speaker 2: just prior to the show, we all say good morning
- 0:57Speaker 2: to each other as we're all getting together on the screen.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Some of us are in studio, some of us are
- 1:04Speaker 2: at home or other places. So we all get together.
- 1:07Speaker 2: And this morning the conversation with Ann and Neil and me,
- 1:13Speaker 2: the conversation was about weight loss and where you know
- 1:17Speaker 2: what we've done, and gee, don't you look like you've
- 1:20Speaker 2: lost a little bit of weight. And boy, you're looking good,
- 1:22Speaker 2: so Will, good morning, how are you doing? Wow?
- 1:26Speaker 4: Wow? Wow?
- 1:28Speaker 2: What I'm saying good morning? I'm saying I'm saying good morning?
- 1:33Speaker 2: All right? Wow? Look at that? Immediately you go to
- 1:37Speaker 2: that place, don't you, guys.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Us?
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah? That place? Morning, Neil, I'm the fat one. No,
- 1:47Speaker 2: you actually, Neil, Actually I have to tell you you
- 1:49Speaker 2: look will you look thinner? Will? Don't you agree? Oh? Mike,
- 1:54Speaker 2: he looks thinner? What I don't know? Okay, fine, he
- 2:00Speaker 2: looks the same as everyone else does today. Let me
- 2:02Speaker 2: tell you everything.
- 2:04Speaker 5: I'm at least two and a half wills, and I'll
- 2:07Speaker 5: raise you another half.
- 2:10Speaker 2: If you think you're and a half wills great and
- 2:13Speaker 2: looks and he turns and looks great and does look great.
- 2:18Speaker 2: And even to the point where you asked if Ann
- 2:19Speaker 2: is losing more weight, she said no, she's just sort
- 2:22Speaker 2: of sinking into her new skin. Which that's another reason
- 2:27Speaker 2: you don't want to lose any will, because hey.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Amy, good morning, Hi Bill, how are you.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Still swelt and long? And you don't change? No, No,
- 2:37Speaker 2: that's a compliment.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Come on, I'm a little crush going on.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I will tell you.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Here's something I speak fluent handle and never expect anything.
- 2:46Speaker 5: The person that he's most intimate with, which is you,
- 2:49Speaker 5: he's most connected with, He's never going to give compliments
- 2:53Speaker 5: like that. It's a weird thing. I've seen it forever.
- 2:56Speaker 5: The closer you are to him, he's he will never
- 3:01Speaker 5: compliment you.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Wait, so you're saying he hates me.
- 3:03Speaker 2: That's not true. First of all, he doesn't deal with
- 3:05Speaker 2: you the same. All all that is not true. Okay,
- 3:09Speaker 2: that is not true. All right, con No, good morning,
- 3:12Speaker 2: Good morning? Was very fat. Quite the food, Yeah, he is.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I have to tell you. Sometimes you come in you
- 3:21Speaker 2: take that from a full size man. I'm done. I'm
- 3:23Speaker 2: done with my joke. Oh damn. It was good too,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but it's not gonna work.
- 3:28Speaker 4: No want, no, no, no, absolutely no no no no, alright, okay,
- 3:39Speaker 4: all right, con No, yes, Bill.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Quite the fruit package you have this morning? Okay you guys, ready, okay,
- 3:48Speaker 2: there you are. What see it's the tight jeans you know.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Horrible.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Boy, your cranks looking lovely hanging out leve today. Okay,
- 4:02Speaker 2: all right, yeah that's it. Okay, guys, it's a fun
- 4:04Speaker 2: start that this should be a Friday start. Fruit package.
- 4:08Speaker 2: What fruit package? The raisins Uh. He and I are close. Yes, okay,
- 4:15Speaker 2: enough of that. We make a lot of fun of
- 4:17Speaker 2: each other here. The only difference is I actually mean
- 4:20Speaker 2: every word of it, and everybody else has uh does
- 4:23Speaker 2: it lightly and with frivolity. All right, you guys ready
- 4:26Speaker 2: to do it. Let's start moving, said boy. We got
- 4:30Speaker 2: some stories. One is a lot bigger than I thought
- 4:32Speaker 2: it would be. And as a matter of fact, as
- 4:35Speaker 2: we go into handle on the news with Amy Neil
- 4:38Speaker 2: and me, this is the story. It's the lead story.
- 4:45Speaker 2: It's the story of says our Chavez. And I had
- 4:47Speaker 2: no idea. I mean, this thing has exploded. It's gotten
- 4:50Speaker 2: some serious legs now after the allegation which has basically
- 4:56Speaker 2: been accepted by everybody that sees their Chavez abused women,
- 5:00Speaker 2: raped a couple of women, and even his his longtime
- 5:06Speaker 2: companion professionally that co founded United farm Workers with him. Uh.
- 5:11Speaker 2: The Laura was going to talk about her a little
- 5:13Speaker 2: later on. Now everybody is trying to figure out what
- 5:16Speaker 2: do you do with his name on buildings, on parks,
- 5:18Speaker 2: on roads. They are replace them with or you replace them. Well,
- 5:25Speaker 2: there's a national move to take all of Caesar chob
- 5:28Speaker 2: as his uh name, his name on all the buildings
- 5:32Speaker 2: and replace them with the president's name. I won't tell
- 5:34Speaker 2: you which president.
- 5:35Speaker 3: But Trump wid in. Hey, I got an idea.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Yeah, until all files are released, we should probably put
- 5:44Speaker 5: put that up full.
- 5:45Speaker 2: And it's mean people. They're spinning and no one's refuting it,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and no one has said, especially the organizations that are
- 5:52Speaker 2: connected to Caesar job as United farm Workers. No one
- 5:56Speaker 2: is saying it didn't happen. No one is saying these
- 5:58Speaker 2: are just allegation, which normally you would expect to hear
- 6:03Speaker 2: from some quarters. I mean, nothing but crickets in that regard.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Yesterday, when it was coming down, there was a finality
- 6:10Speaker 5: to it, even though some information still hadn't come out.
- 6:15Speaker 5: It just the wheels were moving so fast you felt
- 6:18Speaker 5: like they had to have something more than just blank
- 6:23Speaker 5: allegations for a guy who's been dead since the nineties.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Well, especially after Delores's.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, so she's very respected as well, and she had
- 6:32Speaker 2: two kids with.
- 6:33Speaker 3: This guy as the result of the rapes.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Yeah, is what she said. Well, I couldn't tell if
- 6:38Speaker 5: one was consensual and one was rape.
- 6:42Speaker 2: No, she said, neither one was consensual. One was an
- 6:45Speaker 2: outright rape, the other one was simply under pressure. Is
- 6:49Speaker 2: I think what the arcade that said? And then there's
- 6:51Speaker 2: even statues, Well, what is that university that has a
- 6:53Speaker 2: statue of Caesar Chavez in there in the courtyard. You
- 7:01Speaker 2: know they're trying to find a groud show mask into
- 7:03Speaker 2: the mustache and his face.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Listen, you gotta we gotta stop holding people up like
- 7:10Speaker 5: this because the reality.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Is the reality is what they all right, people know,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but it's like the number of people's extraordinaries coming out.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Go do some research on Gandhi for Christ's sake. I mean,
- 7:21Speaker 5: it's like you you it's holding people up like this
- 7:26Speaker 5: the things that we can, but.
- 7:28Speaker 2: You can when they're when they're put on a pestal,
- 7:30Speaker 2: pedestal like this, and when they're put that they're deified
- 7:33Speaker 2: like this. I I believe that any even an investigation
- 7:38Speaker 2: into their backgrounds, even looking at it or possibly saying, hey,
- 7:43Speaker 2: we'd really like find out is a media attack is
- 7:46Speaker 2: considered an immediate attack on a on a almost deified
- 7:49Speaker 2: human being. How dare you do that? So yeah, I
- 7:52Speaker 2: think you're right, and this goes beyond that. You know,
- 7:54Speaker 2: we should do a topic on this and uh, this
- 7:57Speaker 2: is where Lindsay and I always have this discussion and
- 8:00Speaker 2: she goes, she says, women are crap in society no
- 8:03Speaker 2: matter what men. This is how men rule the world.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I always thought that women rule the world. Only look
- 8:11Speaker 2: at the women around me. But there's a lot more
- 8:14Speaker 2: reality to that. You turn around and look at all
- 8:16Speaker 2: this time. Not completely wrong there.
- 8:18Speaker 4: No, she is not.
- 8:19Speaker 2: No, she is not at all used to and it's
- 8:22Speaker 2: being proven more and more. Okay, we'll take a break
- 8:25Speaker 2: and come back and get into No, not some Trump stuff, No, no, God, no, yep,
- 8:31Speaker 2: we have to all right, big bucks to.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Bust up Iran. The Pentagon has asked the White House
- 8:36Speaker 3: to approve more than two hundred billion dollars in funding
- 8:42Speaker 3: for Congress to fund the war in Iran. They apparently
- 8:47Speaker 3: need our asking for it to urgently increase production of
- 8:51Speaker 3: critical weaponry that has been used as the US and
- 8:55Speaker 3: Israeli forces have been hitting thousands of targets. During a
- 8:59Speaker 3: White House or not a White House, but a Pentagon
- 9:01Speaker 3: briefing today, the Secretary of War Pete Hegsas said, it
- 9:05Speaker 3: takes a lot of money to kill the bad guys.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It does.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I mean he's right about that. And look where our
- 9:12Speaker 2: munitions have gone. A lot of them have gone to Ukraine.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I'm a huge number, although for the last year they
- 9:17Speaker 2: haven't gotten any. But Europe has given it to him,
- 9:19Speaker 2: and we're supposed to replace Europe. And then what's going
- 9:21Speaker 2: on with this attack.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Well, they talked about the Ukraine thing a long time ago,
- 9:25Speaker 3: saying we don't have the stockpiles because there so much
- 9:28Speaker 3: to Ukraine.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and then it turns out that there was
- 9:32Speaker 2: plenty of stockpile. And I don't know if the if
- 9:35Speaker 2: our government, if our military is running low. I haven't
- 9:37Speaker 2: heard that. There's been some talk, but as of right now,
- 9:40Speaker 2: the administration say no, we have plenty. And that seems
- 9:43Speaker 2: to be the case because they're certainly not letting down
- 9:46Speaker 2: on the number of attacks and certainly terms of munitions.
- 9:51Speaker 5: All right, So you know what's worse than being blown up,
- 9:54Speaker 5: being massively blown up, And that's the threat coming from
- 9:58Speaker 5: our fearless leader, Donald Trump. He is threatening Iran's South
- 10:03Speaker 5: Pars gas field. So basically this all has to do
- 10:07Speaker 5: with the strikes on Qatar, and he's saying if they continue,
- 10:11Speaker 5: then he's going to massively blow up Iran South Pars
- 10:16Speaker 5: gas field. And right now you've got Brent crude, that's
- 10:21Speaker 5: the global oil benchmark climbed past one hundred and seventeen
- 10:26Speaker 5: bucks per barrel.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going up pretty quickly. I mean we're going
- 10:30Speaker 2: to see gasoline prices as well as all the other
- 10:32Speaker 2: prices because everything relies on oil. I mean everything, transportation costs,
- 10:36Speaker 2: manufacturing costs, because everything is made out of oil. Neil,
- 10:40Speaker 2: you and I talk about food and it's all petroleum
- 10:42Speaker 2: based products. Everything. They say it's fresh vegetables, but who
- 10:45Speaker 2: are we kidding? But if you look at eye products,
- 10:47Speaker 2: it's insane. What's made from all oil, all of it.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And here is the issue, I think is that if
- 10:54Speaker 2: the administration attacks the South Pars, takes it out, and
- 10:58Speaker 2: then you have Iran attacking Qatar, attacking Saudi Arabian hitting
- 11:04Speaker 2: their facilities, their transportation and holding facilities, and let's say
- 11:11Speaker 2: the Straight of Horror moves does open up, which it will,
- 11:13Speaker 2: there won't be any oil to transport through the Strait.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I mean, this is going to get really really serious
- 11:22Speaker 2: if this moves into taking out those oil facilities across
- 11:27Speaker 2: the entire Mid East. I mean that's a big problem,
- 11:30Speaker 2: which is why this war is becoming more and more
- 11:33Speaker 2: unpopular by the day. And there's all kinds of controversy
- 11:36Speaker 2: we're going to talk about, and that is, you know,
- 11:39Speaker 2: we didn't or we did talk to our allies, and
- 11:42Speaker 2: accusations are going back and forth. But let's continue on
- 11:45Speaker 2: because that's going to be up for discussion for a
- 11:47Speaker 2: long time.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Down but not out. Director of National Intelligence Tilsea Gabbard
- 11:53Speaker 3: has told lawmakers that the regime in Iran appears to
- 11:58Speaker 3: be intact but largely degraded after almost three weeks of
- 12:02Speaker 3: attacks in the Middle East. Gabbard said in her opening
- 12:05Speaker 3: remarks that Tehran could face increased challenges as its economy falters,
- 12:11Speaker 3: but that the country and its proxies continue to attack
- 12:14Speaker 3: US and allied interests in the Middle East.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Now could consider what the President said, the war was
- 12:18Speaker 2: over in one hour. We took out their ability to
- 12:23Speaker 2: fight because we just what is it decimated as far
- 12:28Speaker 2: as there are nuclear facilities were concerned. What was the
- 12:31Speaker 2: word that the President used. It was pretty It was
- 12:36Speaker 2: pretty graphic in terms of saying that it's no longer
- 12:38Speaker 2: in existence. I'm trying to remember the word. And so
- 12:41Speaker 2: that was at the beginning of the war. Now they
- 12:43Speaker 2: still have it, and it's and the attack was imminent
- 12:47Speaker 2: by the same nuclear capability that was taken out, And.
- 12:51Speaker 4: You go, what what?
- 12:52Speaker 2: And then Tulsa Gabbert out did herself yesterday when she
- 12:57Speaker 2: was asked by one of the senators Democratic senators, now,
- 13:01Speaker 2: let's talk about the eminent attack. Was the United States
- 13:07Speaker 2: under eminent danger of being attacked? Eminent? Eminent? Yeah, you know,
- 13:12Speaker 2: it's you know, eminol And she said, and she said,
- 13:18Speaker 2: it is up to the president to decide when an
- 13:21Speaker 2: attack is eminent. Wait a minute, the senator said, isn't
- 13:25Speaker 2: it your job as National intelligence director to tell the
- 13:30Speaker 2: president what the risk is? She goes, it's up to
- 13:32Speaker 2: the president to make the decision as to whether an
- 13:35Speaker 2: attack is eminent or not. So I had as soon
- 13:37Speaker 2: as she said that, I had these visions of her
- 13:42Speaker 2: or a briefer walking into the Oval office with piles
- 13:47Speaker 2: of briefing books, putting it on his desk and saying, here,
- 13:51Speaker 2: you figure it out, mister president. The whole point is
- 13:55Speaker 2: for them to come in every day and talk about
- 13:58Speaker 2: the risk factor. That's what intelligence does. I mean, this
- 14:02Speaker 2: is I mean, it's gotten stupid. Is what it has.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It's not even not even deflection anymore. It's just downright stupid. No,
- 14:09Speaker 2: intelligence isn't really intelligence. It's up to the president decide
- 14:12Speaker 2: the intelligence come on, or the risk factor. Man, that's
- 14:15Speaker 2: their whole point. Okay, Handle has talked about this before.
- 14:19Speaker 5: It used to be fun to watch other governments from
- 14:21Speaker 5: other countries scream at each other and threaten each other
- 14:25Speaker 5: and sometimes get physical. Well, now we can watch the
- 14:28Speaker 5: home version because you had Rand Paul confronting Senator Mullen
- 14:34Speaker 5: Trump's Department of Homeland Security pick bitter exchange, and you'd think, well,
- 14:40Speaker 5: you know politics, people have differing views. No, this goes
- 14:44Speaker 5: this goes way back to something that happened at Rand
- 14:49Speaker 5: Paul's neighborhood. I guess a neighbor attacked him, broke some ribs,
- 14:55Speaker 5: and Mullen sided with the neighbor. It's a weird story,
- 15:01Speaker 5: but ultimately it has made itself now into the public
- 15:06Speaker 5: domain and people going back and forth. Paul rim Paul
- 15:09Speaker 5: calls Mullen a liar.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was great Mullen, and Mullen had called
- 15:15Speaker 2: him a freaking snake at the time of the attack.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Out of control and Mullen admitted that he loses his temper.
- 15:23Speaker 2: He's a mixed martial arts champion who is now a senator,
- 15:30Speaker 2: and it just or was a senator and now it's
- 15:34Speaker 2: just the last thing you want to do is piss
- 15:37Speaker 2: a guy like that off.
- 15:38Speaker 5: He actually ended with saying, if you if I have
- 15:40Speaker 5: something to say, I'll say it directly to your face,
- 15:42Speaker 5: which is not where you want to mix martial arts.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I know when he got up, I mean, they came
- 15:49Speaker 2: close to a fisticuff. Although can you imagine a mixed
- 15:53Speaker 2: martial arts expert and there you are a senator not
- 15:56Speaker 2: in particularly great shape. Boy, would that be television television?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Where pretty short TV it would be, but it would be.
- 16:05Speaker 2: And of course that just means that Trump administration would
- 16:07Speaker 2: push him even further to be in office. Now that's
- 16:10Speaker 2: just me joking, but man, this has gone so crazy.
- 16:13Speaker 2: You're obsolutely right. You know, in the Korean parliament, I mean,
- 16:17Speaker 2: they smashed chairs over each other's heads.
- 16:20Speaker 3: That's what I want to see.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I mean, it's getting closed. I mean it's just they're riots.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It's hilarious. So we're getting there, We're getting there.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Here come the Marines. At least one US Navy warship
- 16:36Speaker 3: carrying more than two thousand marines appears to be on
- 16:38Speaker 3: its way to the Middle East, fueling speculation about ground
- 16:42Speaker 3: troops being deployed. The USS Tripoli is an American class
- 16:47Speaker 3: amphibious assault ship. It was spotted on satellite along with
- 16:51Speaker 3: two escort ships escort ships traveling southwest across the South
- 16:57Speaker 3: China Sea on March fifteenth. The next day was near Singapore.
- 17:01Speaker 3: They're based out of Okinawa, Japan, so it looks like
- 17:04Speaker 3: the direction they're taking is the Middle East.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they look like a small aircraft carrier because f
- 17:10Speaker 2: thirty fives can take off from the deck so long.
- 17:18Speaker 2: That's pretty big. That's pretty long. Now the other ones
- 17:20Speaker 2: that I can give eleven hundred square feet twelve.
- 17:23Speaker 3: The carriers are about three hundred feet more.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, So Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell continues
- 17:32Speaker 5: to push back and keep his feet firmly planted on
- 17:36Speaker 5: the ground. He says he will not step down from
- 17:39Speaker 5: the Central Banks Board until this investigation launched by President
- 17:44Speaker 5: Donald Trump that has not turned up anything at this point,
- 17:49Speaker 5: that the Justice Department is fully put to rest, and
- 17:54Speaker 5: he says, with complete transparency and finality, and even then
- 17:59Speaker 5: he says he he may not step down.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Well, there's a criminal investigation that was opened up because
- 18:05Speaker 2: Powell would not reduce interest rates, so and he told
- 18:08Speaker 2: the President to go pound sand and then the criminal
- 18:11Speaker 2: investigation immediately opened up. And pal was saying it's gonna
- 18:14Speaker 2: and it's gonna come back to bite the President and
- 18:18Speaker 2: the ass on this one. Because Powell was going to
- 18:20Speaker 2: retire goodbye, I'm done, and now he says I'm not leaving.
- 18:24Speaker 2: He can stay until the end of twenty twenty eight,
- 18:26Speaker 2: just not his chair. His term is chair is up,
- 18:30Speaker 2: I think Arch April in May, so he's gonna stay there,
- 18:35Speaker 2: which is and it's going to hold up the confirmation
- 18:38Speaker 2: of his new appointee. So this doesn't make a lot
- 18:42Speaker 2: of sense. Okay, By the way, the chair has one vote.
- 18:48Speaker 2: You know that there's an entire board, and if the
- 18:51Speaker 2: share votes one way and the majority vote his way,
- 18:54Speaker 2: then the descent doesn't really matter.
- 18:57Speaker 3: So why see the chair he just gets the gavel. No,
- 18:59Speaker 3: he was a pointed the chair the press the power
- 19:02Speaker 3: of being the chair.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I see if it has more power. I think he's
- 19:05Speaker 2: a spokesperson and I don't think he can make the
- 19:07Speaker 2: decision unilaterally.
- 19:11Speaker 3: iPhone users could be going to a dark place. It's
- 19:15Speaker 3: new spyware called dark Sword, and the software exploit, that's
- 19:21Speaker 3: what they call. It is capable of penetrating and stealing
- 19:24Speaker 3: information from potentially hundreds of millions of Apple iPhones. It's
- 19:29Speaker 3: been planted on dozens of websites in Ukraine in recent weeks.
- 19:33Speaker 3: It's the second time this month that researchers have found
- 19:36Speaker 3: spyware targeting iPhones and other Apple devices.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Fantastic, Yeah.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Not clear how many iPhones were vulnerable to dark Sword attacks.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Researchers say that Apple has been releasing fixes for the
- 19:47Speaker 3: underlying bugs, but when they do the fixes, it means
- 19:49Speaker 3: you have to update your software, and not everybody does
- 19:51Speaker 3: it all the time.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Okay, around the room, who has an Apple device and iPhone?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Neil right here? Oh yeah, okay, Colono yep, Amy yep, right,
- 20:04Speaker 2: and yep, Will yep. And I'm right there too, every
- 20:09Speaker 2: one of us.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And so if you have automatic updates on your phone.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I don't have automatic updates. I do update, but not
- 20:16Speaker 2: automatic update. Oh I guess I do, because it tells
- 20:18Speaker 2: me I'm gonna you're gonna update tonight yeah, yeah, that's
- 20:22Speaker 2: not I guess that's automatic updates. Yeah. You know, I've
- 20:25Speaker 2: always been frightened of one of these spyware programs going
- 20:31Speaker 2: into my finances and grabbing all the money I have
- 20:36Speaker 2: in checking accounts and savings. And I'm told, don't worry
- 20:40Speaker 2: about it, don't worry about it. The banks have these firewalls,
- 20:44Speaker 2: these protections, And I'm still frightened about this because can
- 20:48Speaker 2: you imagine if they had the ability to clean out accounts.
- 20:53Speaker 5: You know, you're newly remarried, right, Oh, yeah, well that's different.
- 20:57Speaker 5: That's at least I know where to go. All right,
- 21:01Speaker 5: you want an investigation, just go against Trump. Former senior
- 21:07Speaker 5: intelligence official who resigned. We talked about this, gosh was
- 21:11Speaker 5: it earlier this week said that the Iran war was
- 21:18Speaker 5: not an imminent threat and did not need to move forward.
- 21:22Speaker 5: He's now being investigated. So this show Kent and a
- 21:27Speaker 5: longtime Trump ally retiring.
- 21:30Speaker 2: And appointee and a Trump appointee. Yeah, well, and he
- 21:35Speaker 2: now says he resigned, remember we talked about that yesterday,
- 21:39Speaker 2: resigned because he said there was no imminent threat, that
- 21:42Speaker 2: that's just not true. And he goes, I'm quitting and
- 21:45Speaker 2: immediately of course the criminal investigation now will start and
- 21:50Speaker 2: irrightly it started before he left. Well, and I don't know.
- 21:53Speaker 2: He was on Tucker Carlson and he was very interesting
- 21:57Speaker 2: by the way. He's an avout anti Semite. You know that,
- 21:59Speaker 2: don't you?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Uh?
- 22:00Speaker 2: And a conspiracy and a conspiracy theorist of the first order.
- 22:04Speaker 2: That's what you have said. That's true, that's true. I
- 22:06Speaker 2: mean there's crazy people that are up there Israel and
- 22:11Speaker 2: I know, yeah. Well, he he talked about the Jewish
- 22:14Speaker 2: lobby and how the attack on Iran is because Israel
- 22:18Speaker 2: and the powerful Jewish lobby in the United States forced
- 22:21Speaker 2: Trump that Trump is an acolyte of Netanyahu. And you
- 22:27Speaker 2: can't say that about Trump. I don't believe it for
- 22:29Speaker 2: one thing. Uh. No, no one tells Trump what to do.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I mean, Trump does what he wants to do. Was
- 22:35Speaker 2: he influenced by Nitta Yahu? Yeah? Probably?
- 22:38Speaker 3: Uh?
- 22:38Speaker 2: And given in and given intelligence by Nathania who probably
- 22:42Speaker 2: Now Israeli intelligence is superb. But tell me it's not biased.
- 22:48Speaker 2: How could it not be biased? Because as has been
- 22:52Speaker 2: described by Ntsan Yahoo, and it's true, Iran is an
- 22:54Speaker 2: existential threat to Israel. It would destroy Israel. Tomorrow afternoon,
- 23:00Speaker 2: if you could so. Anyway, another criminal investigation is up
- 23:04Speaker 2: and running. Oh and the President said when he was
- 23:07Speaker 2: asked about the resignation, he said, I Kent's a nice
- 23:10Speaker 2: enough guy, but I thought he was weak. I always
- 23:13Speaker 2: thought he was weak. He's your appointee.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Moving on, it's a date. The date is April fourteenth.
- 23:24Speaker 3: That is the date that the Teachers' Union and Service
- 23:27Speaker 3: Employees Union in Los Angeles say they will join forces
- 23:31Speaker 3: and go on strike if no contract deal is reached
- 23:35Speaker 3: before then. The strike would affect almost four hundred thousand
- 23:39Speaker 3: students and more than sixty thousand district workers. Teachers, counselors, nurses,
- 23:44Speaker 3: bus drivers, janitors, and cafeteria workers would walk off the job.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yep, it's going to be another one. And this is
- 23:53Speaker 2: labor flexing its muscle. Labor's back up. It was to
- 23:57Speaker 2: the point where labor was enormously strong. My dad was
- 24:00Speaker 2: part of the union electricians labor. He was a union member,
- 24:07Speaker 2: tremendous benefits. And then when you talk about the sixties
- 24:10Speaker 2: and seventies, labor started falling apart. And now it's back
- 24:14Speaker 2: with a vengeance. So we'll see. I think the strike's
- 24:18Speaker 2: going to happen.
- 24:19Speaker 5: If I had to guess, surgeons, tattoo artists, and airline
- 24:26Speaker 5: pilots are these people you don't want to hear say.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Oops. True.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Heard our own Amy King talking about this very close
- 24:34Speaker 5: call between a plane and a helicopter there near Hollywood
- 24:39Speaker 5: Burbank Airport. It happened earlier this month on March second,
- 24:43Speaker 5: But you had a Beachcraft ninety nine was cleared to
- 24:46Speaker 5: land at Burbank Airport will a helicopter crossed into its
- 24:49Speaker 5: final approach path. The helicopters saw the plane and made
- 24:55Speaker 5: a right hand turn to avoid the incoming plane. So
- 24:59Speaker 5: that could have been pretty horrific, is my guess.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, now it has to be. Now it's radar no
- 25:07Speaker 2: longer visual usually during the day and everybody can see everybody.
- 25:12Speaker 2: You're on visual control, you watch out for everybody else.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Now it's going to be on radar and controlled by
- 25:20Speaker 2: the control tower, which is new.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Do you know what's interesting? Do you remember back in
- 25:25Speaker 3: the it was the end of January when Jennifer Hammandy,
- 25:28Speaker 3: the head of the National Transportation Safety Board said, you
- 25:31Speaker 3: know what Burbank Airport like, singled out Burbank as an
- 25:34Speaker 3: airport where there could be a mid air collision.
- 25:37Speaker 2: And there it is. It's close close spur Bank, very
- 25:40Speaker 2: busy airport. And it's right next to Van Eyes Airport.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Do you know that Van Eyes, which is a private airport,
- 25:48Speaker 2: private planes, it's not a general airport, is the busiest
- 25:52Speaker 2: general airport in the United States. More private planes take off,
- 25:58Speaker 2: it's a jet, private jet, et cetera. More private planes
- 26:02Speaker 2: take off from there in Land than any other airport
- 26:04Speaker 2: in the United States general airport. You and I have
- 26:06Speaker 2: flown out of there a couple of times. You bet
- 26:08Speaker 2: we have. You bet we have helicopters, planes, it's meat
- 26:13Speaker 2: and trains and even automobiles. Those aren't pillows. All right,
- 26:19Speaker 2: we knew one. I think we can do one more,
- 26:20Speaker 2: Neil or Amy, Right, this is it?
- 26:23Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Pharrell could have written a song about this place.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Uh huh okay. According to the latest edition of the
- 26:31Speaker 3: World Happiness Report, the three happiest countries in the world
- 26:34Speaker 3: are Finland, Iceland, and Denmark. Finland was number one. And
- 26:40Speaker 3: are you from Finland?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Denmark?
- 26:44Speaker 3: I think she's from Denmark. Yeah, yeah, okay, So that's one, two, three,
- 26:49Speaker 3: and then Costa Rica is fourth. Then back to the
- 26:53Speaker 3: Nordic country. Sweden is fifth, Norway sixth, the Netherlands is seventh,
- 26:58Speaker 3: Luxembourg is nine, and Switzerland is ten.
- 27:05Speaker 2: The Danish countries or the Scandinavian countries have four years
- 27:10Speaker 2: and years and years been the happiest place. Can you
- 27:13Speaker 2: imagine if Disneyland were to build a Disney park in Finland,
- 27:19Speaker 2: it would be the happiest place on Earth, within the
- 27:22Speaker 2: happiest place on Earth?
- 27:24Speaker 5: Would they have to change it to the second the
- 27:27Speaker 5: second half the happiest place on Earth?
- 27:29Speaker 2: The second happiest place in Denmark is flipping us all off.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I don't know Kona's joining in on it, okay, I
- 27:37Speaker 2: have no idea what he's saying. Let's get out of here. Yeah,
- 27:41Speaker 2: let's let's just get out of here. We're done, all right.
- 27:44Speaker 2: A story that broke a couple of days ago that
- 27:46Speaker 2: has become much bigger than I thought it was going
- 27:49Speaker 2: to be is Caesar Chavez. And adding to that story
- 27:54Speaker 2: is Dlorus Suerta, who is basically as big a name,
- 27:59Speaker 2: just not particularly paid enough attention to with the farm
- 28:04Speaker 2: workers Union. Now I'll talk about that coming up. This
- 28:07Speaker 2: is kfi AM six point forty.
- 28:09Speaker 1: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show, Catch My
- 28:12Speaker 1: Show Monday through Friday six am to nine am, and
