- 1:02Speaker 2: The popcorn Moment, Let's go, Let's go, step it's a
- 1:06Speaker 2: story you need to.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Hear to believe.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Then grab your popcorn because there is more. It's a weird,
- 1:13Speaker 1: weird thing to say.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Laura Lumer asked a very very good question at the
- 1:21Speaker 1: Pentagon Briefing, A very good question.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Indeed, Yes, Laura, thanks so much for having me here today.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Now that the President has hearted the process of designating
- 1:31Speaker 4: the Muslim Brotherhood as a horn Islamic terrist organization, will
- 1:36Speaker 4: the Department of War still proceed with selling fifteen fighter
- 1:39Speaker 4: jets to Qatar? And how will they be able to
- 1:41Speaker 4: train Katari pilots at their airbase and Idaho if Qatar
- 1:45Speaker 4: is included in the designation.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It's an unbelievably good question because Qatar is getting treated
- 1:52Speaker 1: with kid gloves by the administration, something I disagree with
- 1:55Speaker 1: in great measure. But then it was Lumer, who, by
- 2:01Speaker 1: the way, the one who has handcuffed herselves to the
- 2:04Speaker 1: doors when it was Twitter and has shown herself to
- 2:07Speaker 1: be a bit of outrageously nutty multiple times.
- 2:11Speaker 2: But Man no quit in that woman.
- 2:14Speaker 1: She reported that there were members of Congress and influencers
- 2:17Speaker 1: who spent their Thanksgiving in Qatar.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I said, that's odd.
- 2:23Speaker 1: One of those people she mentioned was Congressman Marlon Stutsman
- 2:27Speaker 1: of the Indiana Third He joins us right now, Congressman,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I appreciate you taking the time to be with us.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I do want to get into the redistricting conversation as
- 2:35Speaker 1: that has passed committee in Indiana.
- 2:38Speaker 2: But you're on record.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You're on record about concerns with guitar return in regards
- 2:45Speaker 1: to terrorism. I absolutely believe Kaitar has been a supporter
- 2:50Speaker 1: of terrorism, and I do not like this approach from
- 2:53Speaker 1: the White House in the slightest.
- 2:54Speaker 2: So let's start with how did you end up in
- 2:57Speaker 2: guitar for Thanksgiving?
- 2:59Speaker 5: Well, good morning, coding. Great to be with you. You know,
- 3:02Speaker 5: a couple of things because I was over in Israel
- 3:04Speaker 5: earlier this year and had a great conversation with the
- 3:08Speaker 5: Prime Minister Benjaminett and Yahoo and we're talking obviously about
- 3:11Speaker 5: the situation in Gaza and how it relates to you know,
- 3:16Speaker 5: the hostages at that.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Time still had not been returned, and.
- 3:20Speaker 5: I asked, you know, like what you know, what's going
- 3:22Speaker 5: on with the players in the region, And there were
- 3:25Speaker 5: a lot of questions around Qatar being one of the
- 3:28Speaker 5: countries that was in direct negotiations with Hamas, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 5: and I've learned a lot as well too, Tony that
- 3:36Speaker 5: you know, I understand in the context of well, how
- 3:38Speaker 5: did Katar and Hamas get connected? And so I went
- 3:41Speaker 5: back and started doing some history and you know, reading
- 3:43Speaker 5: a little bit. And you know, Obama had asked Katar
- 3:45Speaker 5: to house Hamas in Qatar, so that way they knew
- 3:49Speaker 5: where they were at and could keep an eye on them.
- 3:51Speaker 5: And then there were some negotiations between Israel and Qatar
- 3:55Speaker 5: related to Hamas and in Gaza and how it connected
- 3:59Speaker 5: to the Palace authority, and so obviously, you know, we
- 4:02Speaker 5: know this is a very complicated region. But the opportunity came,
- 4:06Speaker 5: they asked if I would be come over and visit.
- 4:08Speaker 3: But I also I wanted to visit troops.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Over Thanksgiving, and so that was the main objective of
- 4:13Speaker 5: the trip, was to visit the al Udeid Air Force
- 4:16Speaker 5: Base there on the in the middle of the country
- 4:21Speaker 5: where we have a very large air force base. And
- 4:23Speaker 5: so being able to visit the troops was a real treat.
- 4:27Speaker 5: So proud of our men and women in uniform. They
- 4:29Speaker 5: serve a very important role right there in Qatar. But
- 4:33Speaker 5: I wanted to also hear from the Qatari ministers of
- 4:37Speaker 5: Defense and the Finance and also the Prime minister. You know,
- 4:42Speaker 5: why our why why Hamas? What's going on? And this
- 4:47Speaker 5: is something that they were very instrumental in negotiating the
- 4:51Speaker 5: release of the hostages and the peace deal.
- 4:54Speaker 3: So you know, sometimes we can also agree.
- 4:57Speaker 1: We can also agree that Qatar has housed the Maas
- 5:00Speaker 1: leadership with their billions of dollars while the people in
- 5:03Speaker 1: Gaza suffer at Hamas's hands. Israel engaged in the attack
- 5:08Speaker 1: on Quitar, and that has led the White House, I think,
- 5:10Speaker 1: to an improper reaction on Qatar. Is it your belief
- 5:15Speaker 1: that Hamas supports, engages, endorses the Muslim brotherhood.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That's what we're trying to find out.
- 5:21Speaker 5: This is you know Brian Zinki, who's former Navy seal,
- 5:24Speaker 5: Abe Hammada former Army served in the army, and Laurel
- 5:30Speaker 5: Lee was along, she's a former prosecutor. And that's what
- 5:33Speaker 5: we all are trying to understand. And you know what
- 5:35Speaker 5: I mean, We're not going to endorse Qatar. I mean,
- 5:38Speaker 5: this is a country that is really playing both sides.
- 5:41Speaker 5: You know, they're talking to Iran, they're talking to the Taliban,
- 5:44Speaker 5: they talked to Qatar.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Or to.
- 5:47Speaker 5: The to Hamas of course, and Hamas is in Qatar
- 5:53Speaker 5: when Israel struck Qatar with the missile.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Strike earlier this year.
- 5:58Speaker 5: And one of the things that they told and you know,
- 6:00Speaker 5: they were very much wanting us to understand, hey, we're
- 6:02Speaker 5: the negotiators. We're the ones that try to help bring
- 6:05Speaker 5: both sides together. That's why we have Hamas here, That's
- 6:09Speaker 5: why we talked to the Taliban. We're negotiators. That's the
- 6:12Speaker 5: role we want to play. And they kept reminding us, Hey,
- 6:14Speaker 5: you got to remember, we got hit by Iran by
- 6:16Speaker 5: a missile after the Twelve Day War. We also got
- 6:19Speaker 5: hit by Israel. So we understand that, you know, they're
- 6:22Speaker 5: saying they understand the role that they play. But at
- 6:24Speaker 5: the end of the day, and this is what's really important,
- 6:26Speaker 5: is that they cannot be supporting terrorism. And the other
- 6:29Speaker 5: piece that we wanted to find out is are you
- 6:31Speaker 5: funding education systems in the United States that are pushing
- 6:35Speaker 5: any sort of.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Anti Semitic message?
- 6:37Speaker 5: And that's another really important piece that we don't want
- 6:39Speaker 5: to see funding coming from outside sources that would influence
- 6:43Speaker 5: our education system in the wrong way.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Talking to you, Thomas and Marlin Stutsman of the Third
- 6:48Speaker 1: District of Indiana. We know that Qatar has been a
- 6:51Speaker 1: massive supporter of universities, and I do believe we should
- 6:54Speaker 1: be pushing legislation to end the ability of foreign nations
- 6:58Speaker 1: to support US universe these If the university can't live
- 7:01Speaker 1: without at the university shouldn't exist, Sir. We also know
- 7:05Speaker 1: that Qatar has repeatedly been engaged with the idea, and
- 7:09Speaker 1: they're certainly accused of their support of the Muslim Brotherhood.
- 7:12Speaker 2: But Lumer's question certainly is a good one.
- 7:15Speaker 1: How do we feel about the training of Kataris in
- 7:19Speaker 1: Idaho or anyplace else on US hardware?
- 7:23Speaker 5: Yeah, well they are again. You know, this is my
- 7:26Speaker 5: first time there. From what I understand is they they
- 7:30Speaker 5: want a relationship with the United States. And this is
- 7:33Speaker 5: what something surprised me. I didn't realize, you know, kind
- 7:36Speaker 5: of forgot about the blockade that happened back in twenty
- 7:40Speaker 5: seventeen eighteen by the Saudis, by the Egyptians and the UE.
- 7:44Speaker 3: They put a blockade, you know, the Qatar is.
- 7:46Speaker 5: A little thumb that sticks off the Saudi Peninsula, and
- 7:50Speaker 5: basically and then was accusing Katar of terrorism. Well, they
- 7:54Speaker 5: basically were cut off from food and other supplies, and
- 7:58Speaker 5: that was really in their seike that I could tell
- 8:01Speaker 5: that they've felt almost like, hey all, we thought all
- 8:05Speaker 5: of our friends here in the neighborhood, we were.
- 8:07Speaker 3: All on the same team. And there's a lot of
- 8:09Speaker 3: politics in that region.
- 8:10Speaker 5: As you know that they you can't always trust them.
- 8:13Speaker 5: You've got to watch their actions more than anything. And
- 8:15Speaker 5: that's what I've said about all these guys is that
- 8:18Speaker 5: you know, actions speak louder than words. Well, they took
- 8:22Speaker 5: it upon themselves to you know, build their own dairies,
- 8:24Speaker 5: which actually we sell America's a lot of American farmers
- 8:28Speaker 5: sell them. Hey, feed, they are buying supplies from the
- 8:32Speaker 5: United States. That's why the air Force base is where
- 8:35Speaker 5: it's at. So I'm trying to look at it from Okay,
- 8:38Speaker 5: they're afraid of their own neighbors in the in the area,
- 8:40Speaker 5: So now they're coming to the United States and saying, look,
- 8:43Speaker 5: we want to be partners and friends. Well, if you
- 8:45Speaker 5: want to do that, then let's make sure there's no
- 8:48Speaker 5: funding going to our education system that is doing the
- 8:52Speaker 5: wrong you know, it's sending the wrong message to our
- 8:55Speaker 5: kids about Israel. Let's make sure that you guys aren't
- 8:58Speaker 5: funding the Muslim brotherhood. Let's deal with Hamas. Let's get
- 9:01Speaker 5: Hamas out of there or destroyed if they're going to
- 9:04Speaker 5: continue to be a problem in the region or in Gaza.
- 9:07Speaker 5: So this is a time for them to choose which
- 9:10Speaker 5: side they're.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Going to be on.
- 9:11Speaker 5: You know, they're helping with the situation within Gaza. Let's say, okay,
- 9:16Speaker 5: we're willing and work more like Saudi rather than Iran
- 9:20Speaker 5: in the region.
- 9:20Speaker 1: In a one word answer, sir, because I do want
- 9:23Speaker 1: to ask about redistricting. If Qatar is giving financial support
- 9:27Speaker 1: as is alleged, I have same with Turkey to the
- 9:29Speaker 1: Muslim Brotherhood. Do you believe the United States should cut
- 9:32Speaker 1: off relationship cut off their relationship with Katar.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yes, I mean if they're supporting terrorism in
- 9:38Speaker 5: a Muslim brotherhood, that.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Is a that's just a deal breaker.
- 9:42Speaker 5: I mean, that's what has to be message to them,
- 9:44Speaker 5: and that's what we message to them when we were there.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Let me get to the follow up the trip itself.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Who paid for the trip?
- 9:51Speaker 5: So it's it's a United States based organization. It's called
- 9:55Speaker 5: the US Katari Business Council. There's a lot of business.
- 9:58Speaker 5: In fact, they were actually visiting Indiana. They you know,
- 10:01Speaker 5: as I talk to different folks, they they love Indiana.
- 10:03Speaker 5: They were there at home visiting with Governor Holcombs several
- 10:08Speaker 5: years ago.
- 10:09Speaker 3: We uh.
- 10:10Speaker 5: They of course are buying a lot of planes from
- 10:12Speaker 5: Boeing in Qatar. The US are the Katari airways that
- 10:16Speaker 5: they have built out. It's impressive, I'll tell you that, Tony.
- 10:21Speaker 5: They have so much money there. They're building out in
- 10:24Speaker 5: International City in Doha. They're buying, you know, I'm not
- 10:28Speaker 5: sure how many, probably a couple of hundred planes from Boeing,
- 10:31Speaker 5: which is a massive and you know, purchase from the
- 10:34Speaker 5: United States. They are also investing. President Trump when he
- 10:39Speaker 5: visited there, got an investment close to a trillion dollars
- 10:42Speaker 5: from them. And I think that this is what is important,
- 10:45Speaker 5: is that they have to choose are they going to
- 10:47Speaker 5: be friends with the United States or somebody else?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Sorry about that, Just a little interference from from the studio.
- 10:55Speaker 1: My apologies talking to Congressman Marlin Stutsman. Let me why
- 10:59Speaker 1: I have this one, and I apologize for that.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Just really quick.
- 11:02Speaker 1: On redistricting, whid I've got sixty seconds it passes committee.
- 11:06Speaker 2: You've seen the map.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Do you like the map and do you favor with
- 11:10Speaker 1: a full on vote to redistrict the state of Indiana.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I do.
- 11:15Speaker 5: I like the map. I like the fact that this
- 11:17Speaker 5: is a you know, we're fighting the left in California,
- 11:23Speaker 5: in Illinois, in New York. Look, Tony, these guys have
- 11:26Speaker 5: been doing the Democrats have been playing politics for years,
- 11:29Speaker 5: and we've got to understand that we need equal representation
- 11:33Speaker 5: in Washington, DC. We're out here fighting socialist Democrats. I mean,
- 11:37Speaker 5: look at mom Donnie in New York and his campaign
- 11:40Speaker 5: that he just won. I mean, these guys are full
- 11:42Speaker 5: on socialists. And we've got to realize in Indiana that
- 11:46Speaker 5: what we do there affects the country. I mean it
- 11:49Speaker 5: not just affects Indiana. It affects the country right now
- 11:52Speaker 5: because we're in this fight to protect the freedom and
- 11:55Speaker 5: the liberty and the constitution that we have in our
- 11:58Speaker 5: great country. And so I would just you know, ask
- 12:00Speaker 5: every state legislator to really understand the fight that we're in.
- 12:04Speaker 5: It's this is not just about precedents, This is not
- 12:07Speaker 5: just about the you know, the maps as they are drawn,
- 12:10Speaker 5: and that they should look a certain way on a
- 12:12Speaker 5: coloring book, they These are serious fights that we're in
- 12:16Speaker 5: and President Trump took a bullet for us. We need
- 12:18Speaker 5: to understand what he has been through because the left
- 12:22Speaker 5: tried to stop him and literally taking his life. And
- 12:25Speaker 5: of course you know Charlie Kirk was assassinated. The left
- 12:28Speaker 5: is unhinged and the only way we win is sticking together.
- 12:32Speaker 5: This is a team effort. This is Republicans sticking together.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Republicans stick together, we win. And we always talk about
- 12:38Speaker 5: how Democrats they always stick together and that's why they win.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Republicans we need to do the same thing. This is
- 12:43Speaker 5: an important time for our country.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Thomas and Marlin Stutsman at the Indiana f their district.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I appreciate you taking the time
