- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey, we'll
- 0:07Speaker 1: take some calls in a minute. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 0:12Speaker 1: All right, now this is interesting. The fear of these
- 0:16Speaker 1: AI data centers. What is everybody afraid of? It's just
- 0:18Speaker 1: a building. It's a big building, but it's just a
- 0:21Speaker 1: building with computers in it. It's just a building with
- 0:24Speaker 1: some servers in it. What are you so afraid of? Well,
- 0:26Speaker 1: uses too much electricity. Well, they figured out how to
- 0:29Speaker 1: fix that problem with small little nuclear things. They use
- 0:34Speaker 1: too much water. Well, they figured out how to solve
- 0:36Speaker 1: that with using recycled water. Now, the problem is the noise,
- 0:41Speaker 1: these big powered turbines that cool the noise from those turbines. Well,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I remember I said yesterday, they'll figure out how to
- 0:50Speaker 1: make those quiet. Well, that might be starting. You know,
- 0:54Speaker 1: Elon Musk is about to build the biggest data center
- 0:57Speaker 1: in the world. And in fact, it will be the
- 1:00Speaker 1: biggest building ever built in history. But, you know, there's
- 1:04Speaker 1: two companies, two or three companies that make those turbines.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It's kind of a little monopoly of these couple of companies.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Elon Musk has decided he'll make his own turbines. He's
- 1:14Speaker 1: going to make turbines, which the stock of those companies
- 1:19Speaker 1: that already make them started plunging as he announced this.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But knowing Elon Musk, he'll make them quiet, I mean,
- 1:26Speaker 1: look at his car. Look at the Tesla. You ever
- 1:27Speaker 1: hear a Tesla? It sounds like this. There's no sound.
- 1:33Speaker 1: He'll figure out how to make a quiet turbine. He's
- 1:36Speaker 1: making his own because he said he doesn't want to
- 1:38Speaker 1: wait for these companies. And he thinks he can make
- 1:40Speaker 1: them better. And he will, and he'll make them quieter.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And then that'll be the end of the controversy over
- 1:46Speaker 1: AI data centers. They're going to be everywhere eventually in
- 1:49Speaker 1: a couple of years. And nobody will ever remember that
- 1:52Speaker 1: it was such a controversy. As I pointed out, we've
- 1:54Speaker 1: got 72 of them already in the New York area.
- 1:57Speaker 1: They've been here for years, smaller ones, but they've been
- 1:59Speaker 1: here for years. It's a couple right in the lower Manhattan,
- 2:02Speaker 1: right in Manhattan, their data center. So, uh, it'll be
- 2:06Speaker 1: pretty common by then. Uh, let's take some calls. Let's
- 2:08Speaker 1: go to, uh, Tom in the Bronx. Tom, how you doing?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Hey, Mark.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Uh, first off, I want to say, I disagree with the,
- 2:16Speaker 1: you had Steve Kuzo on the show the other day. Yeah. Um,
- 2:19Speaker 1: Crime is up in New York. It's just not getting recorded.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We gave all the actual facts. Crime, when the commissioner
- 2:28Speaker 1: says it's down, she keeps quoting the murder rate. Subway
- 2:31Speaker 1: crime is up. Rape is up. And robberies are up.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So overall, the biggest crimes, murder, is down. But the
- 2:39Speaker 1: little crimes, and those are the ones that affect most people,
- 2:42Speaker 1: they are up, as we've been saying every day since
- 2:45Speaker 1: the police commissioner made that claim. Let's go to Mike
- 2:48Speaker 1: in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 2:50Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yes, Mike.
- 2:53Speaker 2: You were speaking earlier about Holger wearing the hijab. I
- 2:56Speaker 2: think she's got to go full Berker. Have you seen
- 2:58Speaker 2: that mug?
- 3:01Speaker 1: Yeah. She was going into a Muslim center to make
- 3:05Speaker 1: a speech. She thought she was wearing a hijab. It
- 3:08Speaker 1: was just a big black scarf tied around her. And
- 3:11Speaker 1: a hijab is supposed to cover your hair, cover your neck.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Hers didn't. So, look, it offended everybody. The Muslims, the non-Muslims,
- 3:19Speaker 1: everybody got offended by her.
- 3:21Speaker 2: You mean her pandering?
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yes.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Well, we get all upset when summer's coming to an end.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's the end of summer. It's a very sad time
- 3:31Speaker 1: for us. Now, you live in Florida. People may not realize.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You're thrilled when summer's over, right? Because it's the worst season. Thrilled.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Thrilled. although it's still another six weeks or so of
- 3:41Speaker 2: 90 degree weather. And it's funny because all the pumpkin
- 3:44Speaker 2: spices in Walmart and all the long sleeve clothes, the
- 3:46Speaker 2: winter clothing is out. And it's like, guys, there's another
- 3:50Speaker 2: six weeks of 90 degree weather and storms every afternoon.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I don't know what you guys are preparing for. It's
- 3:55Speaker 2: not winter.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah. So people don't realize they can't wait for labor day. Wait,
- 3:59Speaker 1: they can't wait for summer to be over in Florida.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's the worst time of year. Yeah. It's the worst.
- 4:04Speaker 2: It's, it's brutal.
- 4:06Speaker 1: All right, Mike, thanks for calling. You know, uh, Uh,
- 4:09Speaker 1: think back. Remember we had those two heat waves. Remember
- 4:11Speaker 1: it was like 110 or something, whatever it was. Real
- 4:13Speaker 1: field was like 110. You really couldn't go outside. It
- 4:16Speaker 1: was just unbearable. Well, Florida's like that for about six
- 4:19Speaker 1: months a year in the summer. So, uh, the end
- 4:22Speaker 1: of summer is the nicest time of the year for them. Hey,
- 4:24Speaker 1: you remember this, um, you know, rich dad, poor dad,
- 4:27Speaker 1: the famous book. So you remember this author, Robert Kiyosaki,
- 4:31Speaker 1: this was the self-help guru who made a fortune, uh,
- 4:36Speaker 1: teaching people the secrets of financial success. And boy, did
- 4:41Speaker 1: he have a lot of followers because he would teach
- 4:43Speaker 1: you how to be a huge success financially. He's now
- 4:46Speaker 1: about 80 years old and, uh, it turns out he's
- 4:50Speaker 1: 1.2 billion in debt. So if you've got a copy
- 4:55Speaker 1: of rich dad, poor dad, uh, throw it out, just
- 4:58Speaker 1: toss it out right now. The self-help guru who taught
- 5:03Speaker 1: you how to be rich, uh, He had all these things.
- 5:06Speaker 1: He's a billion two in debt, apparently, over very bad investments.
- 5:14Speaker 1: His wife says it's not their fault. They had partners
- 5:17Speaker 1: in real estate ventures, and it's their fault. But it's
- 5:20Speaker 1: his fault. It's his money, his investments. This enormous debt
- 5:25Speaker 1: comes from his investment strategy. So I wouldn't listen to
- 5:28Speaker 1: a thing this guy says. You know, a lot of
- 5:30Speaker 1: these self-help books, these guys are experts. experts at how
- 5:37Speaker 1: to make money off you, outside of you buying the book,
- 5:41Speaker 1: the video, outside of that, taking the class, outside of that,
- 5:48Speaker 1: they don't know what the hell they're doing. It's like
- 5:49Speaker 1: that Tony Robbins. He's got one talent in life. That
- 5:53Speaker 1: is selling you his course. That's what he does. You
- 5:57Speaker 1: can take that course. I don't know what the hell
- 5:59Speaker 1: you're going to do with it, but he's an expert
- 6:01Speaker 1: at getting money out of you for that course. That's
- 6:04Speaker 1: about it. Hey, we were talking about that Times Square stabber.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So I'm looking at her record. And again, this started
- 6:13Speaker 1: with crazy left-wing politicians closing the mental institutions, letting these
- 6:18Speaker 1: people out, crazy left-wing judges, letting these people back on
- 6:22Speaker 1: the street. This Times Square stabber has a long list
- 6:26Speaker 1: of crazy incidents. 2016, belligerent, intoxicated, screaming, fighting with NYPD cops,
- 6:36Speaker 1: Lexington Avenue, uh, 2019 screaming and yelling in the subway station,
- 6:42Speaker 1: then threw herself in front of an E train trying
- 6:44Speaker 1: to commit suicide. And the judges kept letting her out
- 6:48Speaker 1: over and over. And you got, I hate to say it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: You got a bunch of these mentally ill people walking around.
- 6:54Speaker 1: There's a number of these incidents, uh, and it, You
- 6:59Speaker 1: got crazy judges that have been put in there by
- 7:01Speaker 1: crazy governors. Thank you, Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul. And
- 7:06Speaker 1: thank you, Andrew Cuomo, for your no bail, no jail,
- 7:08Speaker 1: let everybody run around loose. And remember, Andrew Cuomo was
- 7:11Speaker 1: the guy that bragged about how he closed all the prisons.
- 7:14Speaker 1: He was so thrilled about that. Hey, people have been
- 7:18Speaker 1: complaining about prices. One of them is the cost of beef.
- 7:21Speaker 1: That has nothing to do with Donald Trump. That has
- 7:24Speaker 1: nothing to do with the government, the cattle supply. had
- 7:29Speaker 1: all kinds of problems. The herds had disease, infections. The
- 7:34Speaker 1: herds were tinier than ever. That's what drove the price
- 7:38Speaker 1: of beef up. So President Trump has removed all tariffs
- 7:42Speaker 1: on beef imports for 90 days. That'll mean a ton
- 7:46Speaker 1: of beef flowing into the country, like actually 300,000 tons
- 7:52Speaker 1: will be coming in, 100,000 tons per month, all tariff-free.
- 7:56Speaker 1: That should bring the price down about 30%. Now, it's
- 8:00Speaker 1: only for 90 days, but apparently they know how to
- 8:03Speaker 1: get that herd back up. Whatever the disease, all that
- 8:06Speaker 1: stuff is, they've eradicated. So the president says in 90 days,
- 8:09Speaker 1: the ranchers will have time to rebuild their herds. They're
- 8:13Speaker 1: at a 75-year low right now. So that's good news. Hey,
- 8:18Speaker 1: we were talking yesterday about New York booming. I mean,
- 8:22Speaker 1: it's absolutely booming. You can't rent an apartment right now.
- 8:26Speaker 1: The rental market has exploded. Very little inventory left as
- 8:30Speaker 1: far as buying big condos, really expensive ones, really expensive apartments.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's increasing all the time. Sales are much bigger than
- 8:42Speaker 1: last year. And we were talking about leasing. When it
- 8:45Speaker 1: comes to offices and all that stuff, leasing is exploding.
- 8:49Speaker 1: There's a frenzy of leasing. You know, there's a new
- 8:52Speaker 1: building going up, Madison Avenue and 60th Street. It's going
- 8:57Speaker 1: to be a 60-story skyscraper. General Atlantic just signed a
- 9:02Speaker 1: huge lease, 150,000 square feet, five floors of the building.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And there's a bunch of these skyscrapers going up, what
- 9:10Speaker 1: they call the supertalls. There's a bunch of 60-, 80-,
- 9:13Speaker 1: 90-story skyscrapers going up. And companies are leasing the space
- 9:18Speaker 1: like crazy. Many of them have sold out already. So
- 9:21Speaker 1: this talk about New York's over, New York's finished, New
- 9:23Speaker 1: York's collapsing, it's actually booming right now. Real estate agents, commercial,
- 9:29Speaker 1: residential are making a fortune right now. Hey, we'll get
- 9:33Speaker 1: to the silly U.S. Open. I'm not a tennis fan.
- 9:38Speaker 1: We'll get to this U.S.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Open.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I'm sure it's great tennis, but what do you hear
- 9:43Speaker 1: all the ways people are exploiting these tennis fans, making
- 9:47Speaker 1: a fortune off them? And what do you hear how
- 9:50Speaker 1: dumb these people are to pay what they're paying for
- 9:52Speaker 1: this stuff? We'll get to that coming up. Don't forget,
- 9:54Speaker 1: it's three hours every day. It's nine to noon. I
- 9:57Speaker 1: start at nine every day, nine to noon. Then at noon,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you got Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. They're really interesting
- 10:03Speaker 1: to listen to every day at 12 noon. Three o'clock,
- 10:06Speaker 1: you got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 10:10Speaker 1: Sean Hannity. You got Jesse Kelly at six every night.
- 10:12Speaker 1: The very funny Jimmy Fallon. Listen to his show. You'll
- 10:16Speaker 1: get addicted every night. It's nine to midnight here on
- 10:19Speaker 1: 710 W-O-R.
