- 0:03One in family God. Welcome back to the morn in DeVos, he wrote,
- 0:06Sam Lopez, hek DJ Sam Rock and we're hearing the Morning devote And
- 0:11I was pressed for time, so I had to rush in the studio.
- 0:15But I'm here, Amen, and we're here. God is good, God
- 0:18is faithful, God is awesome, amazing, and everything that he does,
- 0:22everything he says, is true. So we have all guarantee to trust in
- 0:28his word because his word is always true, word is always real, and
- 0:32his word is always available to all those who are willing to listen to what
- 0:36he's saying, what he's doing, Amen, to see his well working in
- 0:40our lives. It's like know all the explanation about how God works things out
- 0:45for good, for the good for those who love him, other than the
- 0:48fact that he said it and he meant it and it's real. The word
- 0:52of God is true. Amen. So there's no really debate about it,
- 0:56at least in my book, because I tested and he proved himself. I
- 1:00tested the word and the word is proven. Amen. I'm sorry, I'm
- 1:03looking now. I'm just trying to get to my notes here. Amen.
- 1:07And that goes the boody else pretty good there, So let me get to
- 1:11my notes here and we'll get to the title over here as well. Amen
- 1:15to my morning devot. Today it's called obey God and forgive. Originally I
- 1:23wrote obey God and forgive them already. Amen. Let's be obedient to what
- 1:27the word says, to what God says. That's why I know, that's
- 1:30why I can't get my notes on the wrong screen. But here we go.
- 1:34Let's get to it. Amen. The question or the statement I have
- 1:38is this, and I believe it's just true statement, not just because I
- 1:42wrote it. It's because when I was writing it, I was reading it
- 1:46to myself. I was speaking to myself, my conscience, and I was
- 1:49saying, forgiveness is not easy. How many people can say Amen to some
- 1:55people, they forgive or forget and it comes natural, it comes easy.
- 2:00But for me and most people that I know, forgiveness is not easy.
- 2:05But if those in your life need forgiveness, start praying for God to make
- 2:12an opportunity for you today to forgive them. Amen. And once you do
- 2:17that, you will be in obedience to God. God looks at our obedience
- 2:23and he takes that higher than sacrifice. Amen. So Matthew, Chapter number
- 2:30six verses fourteen and fifteen. Today in the morning Devo. Matthew Chapter six,
- 2:35verses fourteen and fifteen. Obey God and forgive andmen. So the Word
- 2:40of God, the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit of God, is going
- 2:44to help us in this area when it comes to being obedient and to forgive.
- 2:51Bible's clear of what the Bible says about forgiveness part of the Gospel,
- 2:54The biggest part, one of the biggest part of the Gospels is the forgiveness
- 3:00that we receive because of what the Lord Jesus did on the cross. Because
- 3:05Jesus was obedient right, and he was obedient to the Father, he forgave
- 3:12us right. So we're supposed to forgive others as well. Me and you
- 3:17are forgiven. People say I'm not perfect, but I'm forgiven. I like
- 3:22that, Amen, But we need to step up the level of thinking there.
- 3:28Jesus, the Lord says, we are perfect, to be perfect.
- 3:31It's a commandment. Amen. I know you need to say, but we're
- 3:35only human. We're not just only human, we're children of God. The
- 3:40Lord is the only one that gives us the right to be called children of
- 3:45God. Amen. Obey God and forgive today in the morning, devil.
- 3:50If you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, don't hesitate
- 3:53to leave it on a live stream. That is what we're here for.
- 3:57Amen. We're here to communicate, engage, love up on one another.
- 4:00Amen. We're not here to judge each other. We're not here to point
- 4:04fingers. We're here to devote some time in the first part of our day
- 4:10to the Lord Jesus, to the Lord God Almighty, yahweh Amen. Forgiveness
- 4:15is not easy. But if those in your life need forgiveness, start praying
- 4:20for God to make an opportunity for you today to forget. Let's do that,
- 4:27Amen, Let's pray first. After we pray, we'll shut us out
- 4:30for like sixty seconds, and on the other side of those sixty seconds,
- 4:33we'll come back and we'll get into Matthew chapter number six, Verses fourteen and
- 4:40fifteen. Ready, Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you
- 4:43so much that you forgave us, That you forgave me, That you forgive
- 4:47all those who put their whole faith and trust in You, Lord God.
- 4:51For all those who are humble enough to admit that they need forgiveness, they
- 4:57need a Savior, we will continue to stay humble and walk in love towards
- 5:02one another, and that we will love you with everything that we have a
- 5:08man of mind, soul, by strength, everything as a living sacrifice,
- 5:12that we would know that we're forgiven and therefore we should forgive others. Thank
- 5:16you, Lord God for your word. Thank you, Lord God that you
- 5:18have commanded us to love one another as we love ourselves, and to love
- 5:24our neighbors as we love ourselves as well. Thank you, Lord God for
- 5:28your love, your grace, and your mercy, for your power. Lord
- 5:31God, that you give us to forgive, and that you give us this
- 5:35whole entire different look on forgiveness and man as a debt that you paid on
- 5:42that cross of cavalry. You forgave us our trespasses. So thank you,
- 5:47Lord God. I pray a head of protection over myself, my family,
- 5:50my whole household, my entire bloodline, in the name of Jesus, those
- 5:56who are struggling and the walk in life in my family. Lo, I
- 6:00pray faith upon their hearts and minds. Right now I pray peace upon their
- 6:03hearts and minds. Right now I pray the protection of God and the covering
- 6:08of the arquen angels that are assigned to our lives that would be fully active.
- 6:12And I pray that also for every single person that's connected now, that
- 6:15will connect later, that will listen now, that will watch later, oh
- 6:19and listen later. I pray over their lives as well, the peace of
- 6:23God in Jesus Name. And I pray, Lord God, that you will
- 6:27continue to just teach us and show us in your word on what this is
- 6:30all about. I pray this by faith, knowing that you hear these prayers
- 6:33and you answer them according to your will and purpose, which is always the
- 6:38best will for our lives and the best purpose for our lives. And Jesus
- 6:42Name, and we all say Amen and Amen. Manuel Johnson, good morning,
- 6:46God bless you. Amen, Sister Joanne, Good morning, God bless
- 6:49you. Welcome back to the morning Debo, my friends and my family and
- 6:53God. So that take sixty seconds to share this out. When we come
- 6:56back, we'll get right into it. Obey God and give let's go.
- 8:22Amen, we're back. We're back. Let's go for it. Let's see
- 8:24what the word of God says here. Amen? What did I say?
- 8:28Matthew? The Book of Matthew, chapter number six. I believe it is
- 8:33right. Let me just get to my notes and make sure this is good,
- 8:37Matthew six, fourteen and fifteen. Let's go for it again. Questions,
- 8:41comments, concerns all throughout. Amen. That's what the live chat is
- 8:45here for. If you have a question, Amen, and it's really not
- 8:50connected to what we're saying right now, you can still leave it in a
- 8:52chat and then afterwards we'll connect and we'll try to sort it out, try
- 8:58to get an answer from the Word for Amen. For sure, the Word
- 9:01of God will answer your questions. I know that for a fact. A
- 9:05man trust me when I say that I look for the answers through the scriptures.
- 9:11If I can't find an answer through you know, normal ways, I
- 9:15go to the supernatural God who knows every single thing about me and who knows
- 9:18every single answer I need to be answered. Amen, that I asked the
- 9:22question. He answers. Obedience is better than sacrifice, Yes, it is,
- 9:26according to the scriptures. Right, So God wants to see our obedience.
- 9:31Amen, And you're blessed and I'm blessed for it. For obedience because
- 9:35it's a heart issue. Right, Are we gonna trust God? Obey God?
- 9:39Are we're gonna trust the world and obey what the world is wanting us
- 9:43to do. Are we gonna trust the spirit of God or we're gonna trust
- 9:46the flesh of man. It's our choice, and we choose wisely. I
- 9:50mean, I hope you would choose wisely. Amen. Come back, Morning
- 9:54Devo live streaming. Right now, someone is with a z do orga celerated
- 9:58on thattwork. Also on the podcast platforms. It will be available right after
- 10:03this, Amen, Because the platform that I'm using doesn't allow live streamed podcasts
- 10:11any longer for whatever reason. Got to respect it. I still I'm amazed
- 10:16by the platform that I use, called Spreaker for podcasting. I believe they're
- 10:22one of the best, if not the best, podcast platform. I can't
- 10:24say the best because I haven't tried every single podcast platforms and there's a lot
- 10:30out there. But I've been with these people for a long time now and
- 10:35they serve me well. Amen, So I always would recommend Speaker for podcasting.
- 10:39So let's go for it. Let's see what we have here on the
- 10:43presenter. Amen, there you go, obey God and forgive on the Morning
- 10:48Devo. In the scripture we have today is Matthew Chapter six, fourteen and
- 10:54fifteen. For if you forgive others their trespasses, you're heavily Father would also
- 11:01forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their truspasses, neither will
- 11:09your father forgive your truspasses. Very fair, right, right, it's fair
- 11:16what the Lord is saying here, forgive others their trespasses, and then what
- 11:22happens you will also be forgiven the opposite. Right, and try this whole
- 11:31thing about Now, they did me dirty, so I'm gonna do them back
- 11:35dirty or what? But they did? It's unforgivable if you go that route,
- 11:41basically saying, God, I see what you're saying, but I'm gonna
- 11:45do my own thing. Because the Bible is clear says, but if you
- 11:48do not forgive others their truspasses, neither or neither will your father forgive your
- 11:56truspasses. Now? Is this saying that God's forgiveness depends on us forgiving others?
- 12:05Is that what this is saying? If not, what could Jesus have
- 12:09meant by today's verses? What do you think he meant by this? Do
- 12:16you mean to tell me I lose the forgiveness of God. If I don't
- 12:18forgive others, think about it, Amen, that's how important this is.
- 12:24Think about it. Clearly, what unforgiveness interferes with is the most important thing
- 12:35about forgiveness. Forgiveness requires actions along with our words. Yes, got to
- 12:43put feet to our faith. We have to put action to our forgiveness.
- 12:48Now, we just can't say it and then go about our day and unforgiveness.
- 12:54As a matter of fact, when you hold unforgiveness and grudges in your
- 12:58heart, that's like a spiritual cancer to your soul. And we don't want
- 13:03that. Amen. It's like it's like holding onto unforgiveness is like trying to
- 13:09poison someone, but you drink the poison yourself. Right, So it's not
- 13:16a good idea any which way you think about it, to hold on to
- 13:20unforgiveness. But I always say, let's just do what the word says.
- 13:24Amen. And although well, I know for sure it's not what the flesh
- 13:28wants us to do. Right, the flesh of man and the spirit of
- 13:33God, they're at war. This is always going to be at war at
- 13:37odds with each other because the Word of God is true, the Spirit of
- 13:41God is always willing the flesh is weak. So imagine that you are diagnosed
- 13:46with a terminal illness. Right, there's only one known cure. You probably
- 13:54heard this scenario before. There's only one known cure and it's only available from
- 14:01a single source. There's only one way you could get this cure. So
- 14:05they give you a prescription to accept the treatment because you know you're going to
- 14:11be cured. You granted the Christian You accept the treatment, you take it,
- 14:18and you're cured. Imagine this, but you are surprised to discover that
- 14:26this company did not charge you for the drug and has gifted you with more
- 14:33medication than you could ever need. Thinking it must be a mistake, right,
- 14:39you contact the drug company only to find out that they are extra generous
- 14:46with this miracle medicine that has cured you. They want the recipients of it
- 14:52to pass it on to others so they can be cured free of charge as
- 14:58well. So you have this illness, everybody says there's only one place you
- 15:03can get the cure. Company gives you the medication for it, and you're
- 15:07like, where's the charge and it's free, And then you contact the company
- 15:13and they tell you no, it's free. As a matter of fact,
- 15:15we to give you more of it, and we want you to share that
- 15:16with others, and we want to give want you to give away totally free.
- 15:22For some reason, you get offended. You don't want to pass it
- 15:28on because in your mind, right in your mind, the people that you
- 15:33know who are sick with the very same disease that you once suffer from,
- 15:37are undeserving of the treatment that saved your life. Instead, you don't want
- 15:46to pass it on. You decide to hoard it needlessly, hoarding it,
- 15:52denying others of the hope and denying others of the joy that they have found
- 15:56and being cured. Frustration, Right, I want you to think about that.
- 16:03It's not a perfect illustration, but it's something to think about. You
- 16:08see the point though Jesus was getting at in today's verse he was. The
- 16:14point was he says that if you forgive others for their sins, right,
- 16:18for their sins, the Father will also forgive yours. But if you don't
- 16:22forgive the sins of others, God will not forgive your sins. Right,
- 16:30you were like, wait, wait, say that again. Yeah, you
- 16:34might have thought that forgiveness and salvation were a free gift from God, and
- 16:40it is a free gift from God. But how is it a free gift
- 16:45of God just for me? It was it just for you. It's not
- 16:48for those other people that are unforgiven right now, right we're not supposed to
- 16:53pray for them no more because listen, I'm forgiven and it's all for me.
- 16:59And whatever they go to do is that's on them. So how is
- 17:03this a free gift if I could only forgive it? Well, if I
- 17:10could only receive it by forgiving others? So there isn't that promoting workspace?
- 17:17Salvation is saying that we have to do something to maintain our forgiveness. It's
- 17:23deep, I know from one in Devo, but he's under known to have
- 17:27it. So go back to the Bible. See what Jesus meant here.
- 17:30The Bible clearly states in multiple places. There's different places in the scriptures that
- 17:36speak about salvation, that speaks about forgiveness of sins as being a free gift
- 17:42of God. Romans six twenty three. We see that for the wages of
- 17:47sin is what death, but the free gift of God is what eternal life.
- 17:52In Christ. Jesus our Lord Paul says in Ephesians, chapter two,
- 17:56verses eight and nine. Well, by grace you have been saved through what
- 18:03through faith, and this not of your own doing. It is the gift
- 18:07of God, not a result of works. So that no one will be
- 18:14able to boast about this right, God's letting us know it's a free gift.
- 18:18We don't deserve it, we can't do nothing to earn it, and
- 18:22we keep on going when we see examples when Jesus was healing people and forgiving
- 18:30them during his earthly ministry, casting out demons and all that, he didn't
- 18:36heal those who could afford it, and he didn't forgive people who deserved it.
- 18:44Say that again, Jesus didn't go about healing people that could afford their
- 18:47healing to get this miracle, cure or whatever that they could have brought right,
- 18:51and he didn't for he didn't forgive people who deserved forgiveness. Rather,
- 18:59he offered healing. He offered it, still offers it. Now. That's
- 19:03the thing about the Lord. He's to say, yesterday, today, and
- 19:06forevermore. He offered healing and forgiveness free of charge to those he encountered.
- 19:12That's why it's very important. I don't want my children to follow God of
- 19:21the church that I attend. I want them to follow the God of the
- 19:22scriptures. I don't want them to be obligated to follow the God that I
- 19:26believe in. I want them to have an encounter with the true, Living,
- 19:30Holy, Righteous God for themselves, so they can know the power,
- 19:33the love, the grace, the mercy of this living God for themselves,
- 19:37and that God, the Lord Jesus Yahweh Elohem else should die right Holy Spirit,
- 19:45God Alpha and Omega, He will offer them healing and forgiveness free of
- 19:52charge. Right after that encounter, they will know that God is real in
- 19:59their own lives. So at this point, who are we, right,
- 20:06sinful humans that we are to withhold something that was given to us really from
- 20:15God. When I say sinful, I'm not saying that we're still sinners after
- 20:18salvation. I'm saying that we have a sinful nature called the flesh, and
- 20:22the broken world and a broken system and the luss of the flesh, lust
- 20:26of the eyes, pride of life, and all that that we have to
- 20:29deal with in this world. But we don't identify with what we used to
- 20:33be. We identify with who we are right now in Christ I hope that
- 20:37helps you out. So we were sick with sin before salvation, right,
- 20:45we didn't deserve forgiveness, and there's no way we could ever pay the debt
- 20:52that Jesus paid on the cross. So we know what the scripture says.
- 21:00We read some of the examples of the scriptures that talk about the free gift
- 21:03of God. Right, we know what Jesus has done for us. We
- 21:07know we can never repay Jesus for what he did on that cross. I
- 21:11hope you're not trying to repay the Lord a sin that saying listen, I
- 21:18got this. I could do this right now, right, I could do
- 21:22it on my own. I hope you're not that person, because I have
- 21:26news for you. You can do it on your own. We need God,
- 21:29you need the Father, you need the Son, you need holdly spirit
- 21:33in your life daily. He gave it to those who seeked him. Yes,
- 21:37he gave the truth to love, the grace, the mercy, the
- 21:40forgiveness, salvation for those who sought after God diligently with all their heart.
- 21:44Yes he did. Hey, word was past tense. What we used to
- 21:48be, who we were before Christ, what we used to do, and
- 21:52what we were a slave to before Christ. We were slaved to sin before
- 21:56Jesus saved our lives and transformed our lives and rescued us and empowered us by
- 22:00way of His Holy Spirit. We are not who we used to be.
- 22:03We all who God calls us. Now we move forward. We're not in
- 22:07the past and we can't go back, but we definitely have today and we
- 22:11can move forward. It's by a holy spirit and in the spirit. Yes,
- 22:15thank you so much for your comments. Manuell. So when we withhold
- 22:23what God has given us right and what He has put in our hearts,
- 22:27and we just try to hoard it for ourselves, what we're saying is that
- 22:33the gift that God freely gave us was not enough. We're looking for something
- 22:37else. Right, Manuel says, that's right, that's very important, and
- 22:44put us on the screen. That's very important to know and never forget.
- 22:47It meant when we received one and enough, which we have in Christ,
- 22:55and He saves our lives, and He has given us the antidote to the
- 23:00poisoned, to the poison of sin. We have the antidote, right,
- 23:03we have Jesus. We deem others with the same condition as ourselves. Unworthy
- 23:11of it. Right, So this is all through a man. Horizontally,
- 23:15we are all unworthy. God found us worthy a man. If he didn't
- 23:22think that we were worth it, he would not have gone I had with
- 23:26what he did on the cross once for all? Right, So are you
- 23:36likely to walk in guilt because you're thinking, like, man, this cannot
- 23:45be all for me. This has to be for me and for others.
- 23:48And if you hold on to it and you think that it's only for you,
- 23:52eventually you get to feel guilty because you get to see people to the
- 23:56left of you, to the right of you that are not born again,
- 24:00that I'm not saved and I'm not walking in victory and you have this in
- 24:03you and you're not giving it out freely. You were given freely. We
- 24:07should give right. And forgiveness is a big part of it. I can't
- 24:14be walking around or I can't be walking around. Let me just talk to
- 24:17myself. I can't be walking around in unforgiveness and looking at people as if
- 24:21they're lesser than me because I have this salvation. Yes, oh man,
- 24:26that is an ultimate gift. But I would want to share that gift.
- 24:30Trust me. I'm an evangelist. I want to share the gift of God
- 24:34to every single person that I encounter, that I meet, because somehow,
- 24:38some way, I know that if they get this forgiveness and this salvation,
- 24:44and they get this encounter with the Lord and with his word, they're going
- 24:48to live an amazing life. I'm not saying that it's free from any kind
- 24:53of pain or anything that happens in the world. But when I am saying,
- 24:56they're gonna be forgiven and walking in victory, and they're not gonna hoard
- 25:02this gift that was freely given to us, They're gonna freely forgive because they
- 25:06know they were forgiven. I forgive people because I know I was forgiven.
- 25:10And who am I to say no to a person who's asking for forgiveness.
- 25:15The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, and what we know about
- 25:18our Savior and who he is to us came to give us life, life
- 25:25in abundance. So I'm out of time. Go to Matthew chapter six.
- 25:27Read it for yourself. I know there was a lot there chapter six Versus
- 25:30fourteen and fifteen we were on, but I want you to read the whole
- 25:33chapter and listen, obey God, and forgive so God bless you all.
- 25:38Got to keep you all and remember always that God is good. Peace,
