- 1:52Please Spotify star rate US. Please, please, please Spotify
- 1:55star rate US and let's just get into the stories for today.
- 1:59The first story that I have for you guys is I'm going to
- 2:01breakdown why TikTok creator Camilla Araujo is rebranding and
- 2:07why that rebrand is not going very well.
- 2:09So Camilla is a famous TikTok creator and only fans model.
- 2:13She actually got her initial big break in the Squid Games video
- 2:17by Mr. Beast. She was a player in that video
- 2:20and after seeing how much attention she got from that
- 2:23video, she decided to drop out of college and pursue content
- 2:25creation, which is so wild. I had no idea that was her
- 2:28background. So she has since gained over 10
- 2:31million followers on TikTok. I think 30 million in total on
- 2:34social media. She's made $20 million on only
- 2:37fans. She has been very open about her
- 2:39social media success and she of course, was the star of the
- 2:42famous OF collaboration house, the Bop house, which is how a
- 2:45lot of us know her. So Camilla now is under fire
- 2:48because she is leaving only fans or has said that she's leaving
- 2:52only fans and her new era that she's launched is basically like
- 2:57social media courses and she's charging upwards of $6000 for
- 3:02these courses to her audience. However, before I get into all
- 3:05of that, she has faced some criticism over the years, partly
- 3:08for deceptively marketing her Only fans, where she claims that
- 3:12she's posting much spicier content apparently than she
- 3:15actually is. And that, you know, there could
- 3:17be an argument on both sides. But what people have the issue
- 3:21with is similar with Anna Paul, right?
- 3:23It's like they have these huge followings and the majority of
- 3:26their followers are young women who look up to this lifestyle
- 3:30and believe that if they're just an only fans model or whatever,
- 3:33then they can also have that lifestyle.
- 3:35So a lot of Camilla's peers in this industry have an issue with
- 3:38how she presents the lifestyle that this industry has given her
- 3:43and kind of what that inherently promotes to her audience.
- 3:47Also, she apparently hasn't actually quit only fans.
- 3:50People are saying that this is just like part of the promotion
- 3:52of her new era, that she's just taken the links out of her
- 3:55descriptions. I don't know about that, but
- 3:57people are claiming that she hasn't actually quit, only fans.
- 4:00OK, so on to the course. It's called becoming her and
- 4:04it's like modules on how to grow on social media.
- 4:07You have to be approved to join the course.
- 4:10And like I said, she's selling it for up to $6000.
- 4:13I actually saw one person say they paid $15,000, but I don't
- 4:16know if it was a troll. I'm not sure if she was joking,
- 4:19but yeah, like up to $6000 as far as I've seen.
- 4:22And so far, the fan reviews are not super great.
- 4:24So this is from a creator called Aisha.
- 4:27It felt kind of skimmy to me, not like illegal scammy but very
- 4:32hash grab vibes. To start off, there's literally
- 4:35a part where you have to enter your income, your credit score,
- 4:38and how much you're willing to spend on this course.
- 4:40And personally that does not sit right with me.
- 4:42It feels less like let me help you grow in more like how much
- 4:46can we get out of you? And honestly nothing, not a
- 4:49single thing from becoming her stood out to me.
- 4:52As someone who has had quite a few viral videos, the things
- 4:55that she's trying to help you learn in her course is nothing
- 4:59different from what you can find out from a quick tick tock
- 5:02search on how to go viral in the span.
- 5:04Of 10 minutes. And like I said, there's a lot
- 5:05of creators, especially in her space, that feel like she's
- 5:08praying on her young female audience with this because she's
- 5:11basically run out of like men to prey on with her only fans
- 5:16content. I guess.
- 5:17Like that's the that's the take that I've seen.
- 5:19So this is from a creator named Kendall.
- 5:21I feel like a lot of you don't know this because I'm also on
- 5:23that website. A lot of insight on why I think
- 5:26Camilla dropping this course is just so wrong and predatory.
- 5:30First off, management company, whatever it is, mentorship,
- 5:32whatever. If they are making you pay for
- 5:34knowledge, it's a scam. If they are telling you that you
- 5:37do not have to show your face, it is a scam.
- 5:40I want this to be a hate video. I think Camilla is so smart.
- 5:43It just seems disappointing to build up an audience of girls
- 5:46who love you and will support you for whatever you do to kind
- 5:49of just turn around and scam them.
- 5:51Like she went from like scamming men to scamming the women that
- 5:55follow her now. And this from a creator named
- 5:57Caroline. I'm really disheartened by
- 5:59Camilla's actions. I used to send her PR for my
- 6:02clothing brand and I used to really like her but now I'm kind
- 6:06of seeing the truth about her. She's a liar, manipulative and
- 6:11she scams everyone. She scammed all the men in the
- 6:13world now and now she's like who else can I scam?
- 6:16OK Girls who are vulnerable who like want to know how to be
- 6:21viral on social media. These are probably younger girls
- 6:23or people who lack self-confidence who are just
- 6:26like so desperate to be this, you know, illusion that she's
- 6:31created. Also, she's saying, oh, I quit
- 6:34like and she hasn't. She just took the link out of
- 6:37her BIOS and she's rather not going to promote it anymore or
- 6:40make new content. But it's still there, she's
- 6:42still doing it, and she's still making money from.
- 6:44It OK, so the idea that somebody selling a course like this is
- 6:48scammy is like definitely not exclusive to Camilla.
- 6:51There's a lot of accusations about those online courses and
- 6:54stuff, and there has been for so long.
- 6:56But now where this has escalated to is that Ari, who's another
- 7:01really famous spicy creator on TikTok, has actually called
- 7:04Camilla out for this course. So she's done a few different
- 7:07pieces of content around it. First, she was in the comments
- 7:10section of a TikTok video. And this is what she wrote.
- 7:12I just don't like scammers when everyone who follows us has
- 7:15given us everything that we have and that's all.
- 7:18And then she made a video a few days ago telling her followers
- 7:21to never pay for a social media course.
- 7:22And that quote, anybody who wants you to do well would never
- 7:25make you pay for advice. And then she really escalated
- 7:29things when she made a video a few hours ago calling Camilla
- 7:32out for deceptive marketing of her Only Fans content in
- 7:35general. So Ari specifically references A
- 7:37collab that she did with Camilla on Only Fans earlier.
- 7:40I was going to say earlier this year, last year in the middle of
- 7:432025, and Camilla, I guess, was promoting it with the
- 7:47insinuation that there was like more happening than what they
- 7:50actually filmed and what actually got published.
- 7:53And she also I guess, was insinuating that Young Gravy,
- 7:55who is Ari's boyfriend, was like involved in it somehow.
- 7:59Now, I did see promotional videos with him in it, so I'm
- 8:03not sure how involved or not involved he was in the final
- 8:05content behind Only Fans. But regardless, Ari was
- 8:08basically saying that she was heavily implying that he was
- 8:11involved in a way that he wasn't.
- 8:13I am not a confrontational girl, but the most important thing to
- 8:16me is transparency and trust with you guys.
- 8:19So if somebody is portraying me incorrectly, then I will be a
- 8:22little bit confrontational. I will never shame anybody in
- 8:26the industry for doing less than I do.
- 8:28That has never been the problem. That's never what I've gotten
- 8:30upset about. I care about being truthful with
- 8:33my audience and the people that literally provide every single
- 8:35fucking thing in my life for me. If you don't, that's on you.
- 8:38That's not on me. So let's clear some things up.
- 8:41If I do a movie club with somebody, I am always going to
- 8:43say exactly what people are going to be seeing.
- 8:46I also tell the people that I collab with that I'm going to be
- 8:48honest that I would appreciate if they were too, because it
- 8:50means a lot to me. But if I do a collab and you're
- 8:53lying and putting captions out saying that my boyfriend quite
- 8:56literally you when he didn't ever.
- 8:59He wasn't even in the video and that I was, you know, in saying
- 9:05when you didn't even unbox, that was, you know, full girl
- 9:08downstairs out again, not that there's a problem if somebody
- 9:12doesn't do what I'm doing, but if you're lying and saying that
- 9:15you are when I was the only one doing anything, Oh no, it
- 9:18doesn't feel right to me, which then leads to my audience saying
- 9:21that I'm a liar and that they can't trust me and that
- 9:24everybody in the industry is scammers just makes me a little.
- 9:26Bit upset so far Camila hasn't responded to any of this
- 9:29criticism and honestly I don't think she will.
- 9:32I don't think that she will take any of this really into account.
- 9:36I really think she is playing the game and trying to
- 9:40accumulate as much wealth as possible, and she's pretty open
- 9:43and honest about that, for better or worse.
- 9:45All right, the next story that I have for you guys, OK, please
- 9:48tell me somebody else is on this side of TikTok.
- 9:51Sean, my husband and I very much are, but everybody that I've
- 9:54talked to about this doesn't know what I'm talking about,
- 9:57including Annabelle. She was like, I don't even know
- 9:58what this is. So I am dying.
- 10:01There is this creator named Sherri and she is teaching
- 10:04TikTok users how to be Chinese and it's literally all over my
- 10:08for you page and I think she's going to only get more popular.
- 10:11So I need to tell you guys about her and about this content
- 10:14because I'm loving it. So like I said, she's teaching
- 10:16people how to be Chinese, but it's like the way that she's
- 10:19sharing this content is what makes it really stick for users
- 10:23and has been what's I think like one people over and really
- 10:27helped propel her to virality. It's so funny she runs such a
- 10:31tight ship. So let me just play some clips
- 10:33so you guys can understand. So you're Chinese.
- 10:36You didn't know what I was the first one to tell you, and now
- 10:38you have to plan this coming out Chinese baddie.
- 10:39And you don't know how because how do Chinese people celebrate?
- 10:42Or are you a Chinese baddie going to host this Chinese
- 10:45baddie coming out? I have some idea.
- 10:47The first thing is you're going to require all your guests to
- 10:49wear thuisia, OK? There's no shoes in the house,
- 10:51OK? And no one's going to walk
- 10:53around barefoot because nobody's getting sick.
- 10:54So they're going to wear thuisia at your little coming out next.
- 10:58Nobody's going to be drinking cold juice.
- 11:00Cold. Beverages.
- 11:01OK, that's not very Chinese of us.
- 11:02We're going to be drinking hot tea, if you're seeing.
- 11:04This on your free page. That means you are Chinese, and
- 11:06from one Chinese Batty to another, I have to warn you
- 11:09about the coldest period of the year.
- 11:10That's coming up. And how do I know this?
- 11:13I'm going to teach you how Chinese people calculate the
- 11:15coldest period of the year and what that means and what you
- 11:18should do because you're a Chinese Batty.
- 11:20If you're seeing this on your free page, that means you're a
- 11:21Chinese Batty and you know what Batty Chinese New Year is coming
- 11:25up, so it's time you prep. We have to celebrate.
- 11:28So here are some things that Chinese bodies do to lock in the
- 11:31wells, manifest good things, and All in all, just start the year
- 11:34of the Horse super strong. We have a few superstitions.
- 11:38I would say traditions. OK, so this whole situation kind
- 11:41of reminds me of Bean Talk, where users are like discovering
- 11:44the benefits of eating beans every week or whatever was
- 11:47happening with Bean Talk. And it's like that but with
- 11:50Chinese customs. Sherry's like showing these
- 11:53users the benefit of drinking warm water in the morning or
- 11:57like wearing house shoes, things like that.
- 11:59And then the users are documenting themselves trying
- 12:03that and being like, Oh my God, this is actually like changing
- 12:05my life or like changing my digestion.
- 12:07And like, I'm loving this. And so because of this, her
- 12:09community has now started using the phrase, I've been Chinese
- 12:13for X amount of days now. So you'll see all this content
- 12:16and all these comments from people being like, I've only
- 12:18been Chinese for five days now, but it's already changed my life
- 12:21and things like that. So that's coming from Sherri's
- 12:23TikTok comment section. Now, I don't know for sure if
- 12:25this was the inspiration behind Sherri's content, but her
- 12:28content aligns with the parody phrase You met me at a very
- 12:32Chinese time in my life that became kind of like a parody
- 12:35meme phrase and went viral a few months ago.
- 12:37So this is from know your meme quote.
- 12:39You met me at a very Chinese time in my life is a catch
- 12:41phrase period, getting a line of dialogue spoken by the
- 12:44protagonist in the 1999 movie Fight Club.
- 12:48You met me at a very strange time in my life.
- 12:50The parody phrase was popularized on social media
- 12:52throughout 2025 as it was increasingly used in memes, many
- 12:56of which shared it alongside videos or images related to
- 12:59visiting China, being a Chinese person, or doing something
- 13:02stereotypically Chinese. The phrase is ultimately
- 13:05meaningless and purposefully absurd.
- 13:08I do want to note I think there was some mixed reception from
- 13:12the Chinese community online to this parody meme.
- 13:15I did see some people feel like it was an example of them being
- 13:18made fun of, while others in the community saw it as more of like
- 13:21a positive meme that appreciated their culture.
- 13:24But interestingly, when I was looking into the reception of
- 13:27this meme, I actually found a ton of information from Chinese
- 13:30users in various forums online talking about how anyone can
- 13:34quote, UN quote, become Chinese like Sherri is saying.
- 13:37So for our Chinese listeners, can you let me know your
- 13:39thoughts on this? Because I found this so
- 13:41interesting. And I'm loving seeing all of
- 13:44these people online adopt different customs and lifestyle
- 13:48habits from the Chinese community.
- 13:50Like things that Sherri is saying is one of those fun
- 13:52little movements that honestly could have never taken place if
- 13:56it wasn't for TikTok. OK, the next story that I have
- 13:58for you guys, I just had to mention this.
- 13:59OK, it's very quick. But Timothy Chalamet, I'm sure
- 14:01you guys saw this, thanked Kylie Jenner in his acceptance speech
- 14:05yesterday. So he made an acceptance speech.
- 14:08He won an award at the Critics Choice Awards and he thanks
- 14:11Kylie Jenner. He called her his partner and he
- 14:14also thanked her for like their quote of quote, foundation, not
- 14:17foundation as in charity. I saw Amanda, I think it was
- 14:20Amanda Seyfried was like, oh, I thought he meant charity.
- 14:23I think she wrote that on social media.
- 14:25He meant like their strong relationship, like their
- 14:27relationship, foundation, partner and foundation.
- 14:30Like those are such serious words.
- 14:33I mean, I'm still shook that they're together.
- 14:36You guys know how I feel about this.
- 14:37But I think it's finally time that I accept and move on cuz
- 14:40that is like some serious, those are some serious words to use
- 14:45about somebody partner and saying that they have this like
- 14:48relationship foundation. Like that's crazy.
- 14:50I mean, I guess like they've been together for three years.
- 14:52Like I don't know, I'm delusional.
- 14:54And then our queen club Chalmay. So she was caught like lurking
- 14:58kind of in the background of them at the Critics Choice
- 15:02Awards. And then she was on social media
- 15:05and somebody was like, what was it like being close to Kylie?
- 15:08Because as we know, she has bullied Kylie online, allegedly
- 15:10bullied Kylie online. And then Club Chalamet Simone,
- 15:13our queen, she was like, oh, there were no problems.
- 15:16I only want the best for Simone, as we know.
- 15:18So I'm happy for her. I'm happy she had no problems
- 15:20with Kylie. OK.
- 15:21And the last story that I have for you guys is I'm going to
- 15:24break down the beef between Top Golf and Logan's Party.
- 15:30There is this other like viral meme sensation going on.
- 15:33It's similar to the 365 button situation on TikTok.
- 15:37And it started from a rogue TikTok comment.
- 15:40So it started because a user posted a video showing that a
- 15:43Topgolf location in Michigan, USA was basically being
- 15:46destroyed by an ice storm. If you guys don't know, Topgolf
- 15:49is like a franchise of driving ranges, like golf simulators and
- 15:53things like that. And I think it's around the
- 15:55world. The video got a lot of views
- 15:58because it was honestly a crazy visual.
- 15:59Like you can see this ice storm destroying like the Nets and
- 16:03stuff. Like it's crazy.
- 16:05And in the comments, a person named Logan Phillips wrote they
- 16:09better have that fixed by January 9th.
- 16:11My work Christmas party is there so that comment just took off.
- 16:15It has almost 300,000 likes right now and users have taken
- 16:20this comment and just run with it.
- 16:23Everyone is in the comments of this video concerned about
- 16:26Logan's Christmas party and people are making tik toks all
- 16:29over the Internet about it. So let me read you some of these
- 16:31comments. Well, this is an awkward way to
- 16:33find out that I wasn't invited to Logan's Christmas party this
- 16:36year. I work at Topgolf and it will be
- 16:38fixed by January 10th, the day after Logan's Christmas party.
- 16:42If Logan's party is canceled on January May 9th, I'm going to
- 16:44lose it. Hey, isn't Logan's party taking
- 16:47place there? Six more sleeps until the party.
- 16:50Damn. Did anyone reach out to Logan
- 16:52about this? I came to the comments hoping
- 16:54for a description of what caused this and I'm now leaving
- 16:56extremely concerned over the status of Logan's Christmas
- 16:59party. OK I'm back and we have 4 days.
- 17:01Is Logan's party happening or not?
- 17:03And then somebody this. This comment sums it up nicely.
- 17:05I love when comment sections have their own lore.
- 17:08OK, so it has been fixed. The official Topgolf account,
- 17:12they commented on this original video and they wrote.
- 17:14So now all of a sudden everyone knows Logan, huh?
- 17:17And then they made a video a couple days ago filming the Nets
- 17:20being fixed with the caption. We're excited to announce that
- 17:23the Nets are fixed in time for Logan's work Christmas party.
- 17:26I love it. OK, so I actually wanted to
- 17:28share three things that this comment, Logan's comment has in
- 17:32common with 365 buttons that we can take away.
- 17:35We can take away why these comments went so viral.
- 17:38So this is what I believe and I'm interested to hear your
- 17:40perspective as well if you think there's something else that like
- 17:43contributes to this. This was just kind of off the
- 17:45top of my head. So first of all, both comments
- 17:47are incredibly specific, but also ambiguous and unhinged.
- 17:52It's kind of being soupy of both of these users, like the 365
- 17:57buttons girl, Tamara and Logan. It's giving bean soup a little
- 18:00bit where it's like, well, what about my incredibly specific
- 18:03situation? It's like we understand what
- 18:05they're talking about and we can relate to what they're concerned
- 18:07about or what they're saying, but it's also slightly unhinged
- 18:10to comment that, OK, the next thing is that they are self
- 18:13centric in a harmless way. So again, that kind of goes back
- 18:17to the bean soup of it all. And then third, both comments
- 18:20and both people took themselves very seriously.
- 18:23And I actually think that's like the magic sauce here.
- 18:26And I mean, we saw that, especially with 365 buttons at
- 18:29the end. The comment that with the most
- 18:30viral was tomorrow being like, I don't need to explain it to you.
- 18:33It just makes sense to me. And Logan being like this better
- 18:37be fixed by my work Christmas party.
- 18:40And these people are serious. And that's what is like the
- 18:43magic sauce here. Like the cherry on top of why
- 18:47these comments went so viral. All right, guys, well, that's it
- 18:49for Mini Scroll today. Thank you so much for listening.
