- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley. I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Welcome back to almost famous. It's Ben and Lauren back
- 0:09Speaker 2: together to recap another episode of the ultimate girls trip.
- 0:13Speaker 2: This episode, Lauren was full of drama.
- 0:16Speaker 3: We're still at the alter ego party. There's a lot
- 0:18Speaker 3: of drama at this party.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Yeah, this is stretching on.
- 0:21Speaker 4: I know. I was like, am I missing something here?
- 0:24Speaker 4: Did I like watch the same episode twice or something?
- 0:28Speaker 3: This party is filled with it.
- 0:29Speaker 4: I guess Alter Ego is bringing out lots of drama
- 0:31Speaker 4: in these people. And also, people's costumes were hilarious. I'm
- 0:37Speaker 4: sure you already went over it last week when I
- 0:39Speaker 4: wasn't here, but do you have a favorite costume?
- 0:42Speaker 2: I like Michael Jackson a lot.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Michael Jackson?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Was Michael Jackson there?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:50Speaker 4: The 50 Cent one. Cynthia is dressed as 50 Cent.
- 0:52Speaker 4: And of course, Luann, who is a loves.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Boys all shapes and sizes loved loved that 50 cent
- 1:00Speaker 4: she's like okay hello.
- 1:02Speaker 2: 50 cent though dressed up real.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Nice really really great yeah yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 2: It's mary cosby that i think uh michael or at
- 1:11Speaker 2: least look like it to me and if it wasn't
- 1:15Speaker 2: going for michael jackson then she did a good job.
- 1:20Speaker 3: She calls herself a wonder woman I.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Don't see that. I see Michael Jackson.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Okay, we'll just go with that. We'll go with that.
- 1:28Speaker 3: There are some interesting costumes.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Who's your favorite? I kind of.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Like Portia's Stepford wife one. I thought that was cutesy
- 1:39Speaker 4: at least. It didn't really make sense. Everyone was giving
- 1:41Speaker 4: her crickets when she would say what she was, but
- 1:43Speaker 4: I thought it was cutesy at least.
- 1:45Speaker 2: What about Vicky? Vicky stood out to me.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Oh, Vicky.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I'm starting to feel bad for Vicky. For a little bit,
- 1:51Speaker 2: I was like, hey, Vicky, you're a bummer. Yeah. But
- 1:54Speaker 2: now I'm starting to understand why she's a bummer. She
- 1:56Speaker 2: had no friends at the party.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I felt really bad.
- 1:59Speaker 2: No anybody. And her outfit was, like, not working. She
- 2:04Speaker 2: said it was like a rat's nest on her head.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 4: No, I felt really, really sad for her. It's kind
- 2:09Speaker 4: of like, I don't know. I feel like she didn't
- 2:13Speaker 4: go in there. Like, the first episode, she didn't really, like,
- 2:16Speaker 4: she wasn't open to all the experiences. She wasn't like
- 2:18Speaker 4: having fun. So now she's stuck in that. I'm not
- 2:20Speaker 4: having fun mode. And then no one wants to hang
- 2:22Speaker 4: out with her either. And she's like, I'm so tired.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I just want to go home.
- 2:25Speaker 4: This is so boring. No one wants to talk to me. Um,
- 2:28Speaker 4: she looked like she literally looked like she was going
- 2:30Speaker 4: to a funeral. I mean, was she like Jackie O
- 2:33Speaker 4: at a funeral is what they said. So really, really depressing.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I felt really sad for her. Um, and people were like,
- 2:41Speaker 4: she deserves it. She doesn't have any, at least the
- 2:43Speaker 4: people I talked to, They think that she deserves to
- 2:46Speaker 4: have no friends, but I don't see that.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I think she's just depressed.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Do you know why they think she deserves to have
- 2:53Speaker 2: no friends? I mean, that's a pretty terrible thing to say.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:55Speaker 4: They say that she's, you know, obviously a housewife, conniving,
- 2:58Speaker 4: a liar, attention seeker.
- 3:01Speaker 3: You know.
- 3:02Speaker 2: She's a housewife.
- 3:04Speaker 3: She's a housewife. Besides, she's like all the rest except
- 3:06Speaker 3: for Ashley.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Okay. I like that we have to like preface this
- 3:13Speaker 2: now with like, she's like all the rest, except for Ashley.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Absolutely. We can't let her in there.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Not like this. We are still at the alter
- 3:21Speaker 2: ego party. The interesting thing is what we're going to
- 3:25Speaker 2: highlight today. Obviously, if you're listening to this, you watched
- 3:28Speaker 2: the ultimate girls trip. And so you don't need us
- 3:30Speaker 2: to break down every scene, every moment, but there are
- 3:33Speaker 2: some things that stood out. And one of the things
- 3:35Speaker 2: that stood out to me was the, the story arc
- 3:39Speaker 2: of Lisa during this episode. And I think it's best
- 3:43Speaker 2: done if we talk through that story arc and kind
- 3:46Speaker 2: of one complete block here. It starts with Teresa who,
- 3:52Speaker 2: you know, obviously carries a lot of weight in the franchise.
- 3:54Speaker 2: It feels like she's a leader amongst the housewives standing
- 3:58Speaker 2: up and saying to us that she was going to
- 4:00Speaker 2: have Lisa's back, that somebody did it for her. And
- 4:04Speaker 2: she remembers how that feels. Yeah. Um, I think we
- 4:07Speaker 2: can all relate when someone stands up for us. Uh,
- 4:11Speaker 2: it feels good. It makes us know, Hey, you like me.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Maybe you love me. It's nice. It feels supportive. And
- 4:17Speaker 2: she says she's going to have Lisa's back a little
- 4:20Speaker 2: bit of the backstory of this Lauren. I think the
- 4:22Speaker 2: question that, uh, viewers that are just now recently turning
- 4:27Speaker 2: into housewives would ask is why does lisa need to
- 4:31Speaker 2: have her need to have somebody have her back like
- 4:34Speaker 2: what has she done what is the storyline that makes
- 4:37Speaker 2: her such a a hot topic yeah.
- 4:41Speaker 4: I think what lisa's really dealing with in this i
- 4:44Speaker 4: don't know about like the initial seasons but i know
- 4:47Speaker 4: currently her reunions airing so she's seeing all of the
- 4:51Speaker 4: current things that these other women are saying about her
- 4:55Speaker 4: alluding that, you know, she has had a facelift with
- 4:59Speaker 4: absolutely no proof. So she, there's these new things coming
- 5:03Speaker 4: out and she knows that none of those girls are
- 5:05Speaker 4: on her side. So she's like, this is extra awkward
- 5:08Speaker 4: because we're watching this reunion in real time as they're
- 5:11Speaker 4: filming this season of ultimate girls trip. So I think
- 5:14Speaker 4: it's extra awkward and, And I think it is nice
- 5:17Speaker 4: maybe to show these other women, the Salt Lake City cast, like, hey,
- 5:23Speaker 4: I've made friends on this Ultimate Girls trip, and maybe
- 5:26Speaker 4: you guys don't know who I really am, but these
- 5:28Speaker 4: new ladies do know who I am.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That's kind of the mark at the beginning of this episode.
- 5:33Speaker 2: We start to feel for Lisa. It feels like she
- 5:36Speaker 2: is one amongst many in the Salt Lake City group.
- 5:38Speaker 2: We've also had exposure to the Salt Lake City housewives
- 5:42Speaker 2: at this point. You and I are both finding out
- 5:44Speaker 2: that this group of housewives is very spirited. They argue.
- 5:52Speaker 2: They don't necessarily even talk to each other. It seems
- 5:55Speaker 2: like very much. But if you go back to like
- 5:56Speaker 2: the white party member, there's a group of Salt Lake
- 5:58Speaker 2: city there. And they were kind of the ones causing
- 6:01Speaker 2: the drama. Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Oh, they were not holding back. They were like, do
- 6:05Speaker 4: you want to know the real Lisa?
- 6:07Speaker 3: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 6:09Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like they, they've kind of band
- 6:11Speaker 4: together against Lisa. And I think we see that at
- 6:15Speaker 4: the conclusion of this episode, that maybe we as ultimate
- 6:17Speaker 4: girls trip viewers and not Salt Lake city viewers that,
- 6:22Speaker 4: that maybe they are correct in their, uh, and their
- 6:25Speaker 4: Lisa hates.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I mean, we see in a moment here, uh,
- 6:28Speaker 2: we got to talk about, um, the sexual, uh, escapades
- 6:35Speaker 2: that they're claiming one of the women's ladies husbands participates
- 6:42Speaker 2: in Kyle does not know what a circle jerk is.
- 6:49Speaker 4: No I'm like how have you lived on this earth
- 6:53Speaker 4: for however many years and not even heard the term
- 6:56Speaker 4: circle jerk and the amount of times I had to
- 6:58Speaker 4: be subjected to hearing that term during this episode was unbelievable.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It was a lot. And every time it said you're
- 7:05Speaker 2: you have like that. I just I think I have
- 7:08Speaker 2: like the visual brain. So you're like, hey, help me. Like,
- 7:11Speaker 2: what are they saying? And then you like put a
- 7:13Speaker 2: picture in your mind. It's not like exactly like my
- 7:16Speaker 2: ideal way of spending an afternoon.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I just the urgency that that Kyle needed to know
- 7:24Speaker 4: what a circle jerk was, was crazy to me.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Like, what is it?
- 7:27Speaker 4: What is it?
- 7:27Speaker 3: What is it?
- 7:28Speaker 4: Is this the most interesting thing you've heard in a
- 7:30Speaker 4: really long time? Maybe because she's like sober and not
- 7:33Speaker 4: at these parties. If she hears anything, it's a little
- 7:35Speaker 4: bit interesting.
- 7:35Speaker 3: She's like, oh my God, that's so crazy. Yeah, yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Because there's a lot of questions going on as Kyle's
- 7:41Speaker 2: trying to figure this out. Like, is it male and
- 7:43Speaker 2: female participating? Is it like a party favor?
- 7:48Speaker 3: It's not just men.
- 7:51Speaker 4: It's just a sexual group activity with mutual masturbation. yeah
- 7:57Speaker 4: but you know i would think it's just for men
- 8:02Speaker 4: wait what's it called when there's like all the only
- 8:06Speaker 4: boys at a party and there's no girls it's a
- 8:08Speaker 4: big circle.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Jerk that's what i would say i would have heard
- 8:12Speaker 2: of it is like.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Party circle jerk something like yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Like that's where i would have heard of it like
- 8:17Speaker 2: in high school people are like you know joking around
- 8:20Speaker 2: making like you know, in the text, like, oh, it's
- 8:23Speaker 2: going to be a sausage fest, like stuff like that.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It's interesting that this whole thing, the only reason I
- 8:30Speaker 2: bring it up, Lauren, is not because of the hilarity
- 8:33Speaker 2: of like Kyle not knowing what it is or Teresa
- 8:36Speaker 2: not knowing what it is or people talking about it
- 8:38Speaker 2: or the idea of it. It's that this is a
- 8:41Speaker 2: real claim that was allegedly made during this Salt Lake
- 8:47Speaker 2: City Real Housewives season that has become an act like
- 8:52Speaker 2: in my life. This has always been a comedic locker room.
- 8:57Speaker 2: We could call it joke made amongst friends. And honestly,
- 9:03Speaker 2: I don't even know if my mind ever went to
- 9:05Speaker 2: the fact that like, maybe they're like real things. I'm
- 9:07Speaker 2: sure like in the world, the world does a lot
- 9:10Speaker 2: of things.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Maybe it is because they're from Salt Lake. So maybe
- 9:12Speaker 4: that's a very Salt Lake thing to do that we're
- 9:14Speaker 4: not really familiar with.
- 9:16Speaker 2: But they're like really mad about it. And I always,
- 9:18Speaker 2: always like really upset. Absolutely.
- 9:20Speaker 3: It's like, you know, I'm just saying words. Like I'm not,
- 9:22Speaker 3: I don't mean this. I'm just saying words. But I
- 9:24Speaker 3: think what.
- 9:25Speaker 4: they're just saying is that Angie's husband is gay or
- 9:28Speaker 4: like we, they flippantly throw around all these accusations. Just
- 9:31Speaker 4: like I flippantly threw it throughout that. I, that she
- 9:34Speaker 4: got a facelift and nothing's real. We're just saying circle
- 9:38Speaker 4: jerk sausage parties, facelifts, nothing's really real. We're just kind
- 9:41Speaker 4: of all girls yapping. That's what I'm getting out of
- 9:43Speaker 4: this is like.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Lauren, I feel like that could have just been a meme.
- 9:47Speaker 2: What you just said there. Those three things.
- 9:51Speaker 3: That's a visual right there. Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Okay. So that's what I'm getting is that these Salt
- 9:58Speaker 4: Lake City women are just, you know, accusing each other
- 10:01Speaker 4: of crazy things and none of it seems real to me. Okay.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Like none of it is accurately real. I mean, the
- 10:08Speaker 2: facelift stuff was obviously brought up when it comes to Lisa.
- 10:11Speaker 2: We saw the flashbacks through reunion. Those are just claims
- 10:14Speaker 2: being made. They're all being thrown out there. And I
- 10:17Speaker 2: think the evidence is that she spent a lot of
- 10:19Speaker 2: time in Miami and they believe that if you're in Miami,
- 10:22Speaker 2: you're getting plastic surgery. That's, I guess, what you do
- 10:25Speaker 2: when you go to Miami. I've been to Miami many times.
- 10:27Speaker 2: It's not been my story. Maybe it's everybody else's. But
- 10:34Speaker 2: they're saying these things about each other. If we concluded
- 10:38Speaker 2: on this, Lisa thought when it comes to the setup
- 10:40Speaker 2: with the housewives. It just seems like a lot of
- 10:42Speaker 2: them in Salt Lake City just really don't like each other.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Yeah, the group isn't like an old-school group of friends,
- 10:48Speaker 4: kind of like what we see in Rhode Island, where
- 10:50Speaker 4: everything goes back and back and back. It's just kind
- 10:52Speaker 4: of like they mishmash them together, and there's no connection there,
- 10:56Speaker 4: especially with Lisa, who's the outlier. But the terms that they're...
- 11:02Speaker 4: throwing out like, you know, a circle jerk and all
- 11:04Speaker 4: that stuff just kind of reminds me of like a
- 11:05Speaker 4: slam pig, like that we're familiar with.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:08Speaker 3: It's just, it's just words and it's just to be mean. And,
- 11:11Speaker 3: and that's, that's really it.
- 11:13Speaker 2: We would never on this show say that anybody should
- 11:27Speaker 2: use these words towards somebody else because, It's not kind
- 11:30Speaker 2: and it's not nice. But in the Real Housewives world,
- 11:33Speaker 2: this is what's getting thrown out there at each other.
- 11:37Speaker 2: And like you said, I think a lot of them
- 11:39Speaker 2: are just words. They might try to justify it with facts,
- 11:44Speaker 2: but they don't like each other. So we're kind of on,
- 11:48Speaker 2: at least I personally, I'm on Lisa's side for a
- 11:50Speaker 2: lot of this episode, trying to give her the benefit
- 11:52Speaker 2: of the doubt until the very end, which I said
- 11:54Speaker 2: it was I think it's important to group this Lisa
- 11:57Speaker 2: conversation all up in one because the ladies are standing around,
- 12:02Speaker 2: they're holding her hand, they're having her back. But then
- 12:05Speaker 2: it comes time for the end of the episode where
- 12:08Speaker 2: everybody is on the buses, the crew, the producers, the executives,
- 12:16Speaker 2: and the cast. And Lisa is nowhere to be found
- 12:19Speaker 2: for a long time. Yeah. Not uncommon, really. I remember
- 12:24Speaker 2: days of Bachelorette where somebody would be late all the
- 12:29Speaker 2: time because they're a little more high maintenance. They take
- 12:31Speaker 2: longer to get ready. They sleep into the last minute.
- 12:34Speaker 2: That isn't the problem. However, I do remember that every
- 12:38Speaker 2: time those late occurrences happened, there was an admittance of
- 12:43Speaker 2: I was late. Again, I hate this about myself. I
- 12:47Speaker 2: don't know why I keep doing it. And an apology
- 12:50Speaker 2: where you're like, it's all good. we'll move on. Not
- 12:54Speaker 2: a problem.
- 12:55Speaker 3: That's the thing.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I think the, the moment there was Lisa didn't seem
- 13:00Speaker 2: to have any empathy or, uh, sensitivity, remorse, acknowledgement of
- 13:08Speaker 2: her making everybody wait.
- 13:11Speaker 4: And not to mention, it wasn't like they were just
- 13:13Speaker 4: like driving to the next city. They were waiting for
- 13:15Speaker 4: a flight. So as someone who has like flight anxiety,
- 13:18Speaker 4: who likes to be at the airport, like four hours.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Early, I'm one of those people.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I would be livid at her for making them potentially Mr. Flight,
- 13:28Speaker 4: not being able to get all the accoutrements that you
- 13:30Speaker 4: need before your flight. So, um, I would be, first.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Of all, I'd be mad at her. Giselle pissed Giselle.
- 13:38Speaker 4: You don't want to mess with like, cause she, most
- 13:40Speaker 4: people would be like, oh, where were you? But she
- 13:42Speaker 4: was like, the hell was going on. Why didn't you
- 13:46Speaker 4: tell us what was happening? unacceptable, rude, rude, rude. And
- 13:50Speaker 4: then she's like, I'm starting to see her true colors.
- 13:54Speaker 4: We already knew from the other girls that Lisa was
- 13:56Speaker 4: a quote, a liar, but now we kind of know
- 13:58Speaker 4: that she's just inconsiderate, which is, you know, extremely rude
- 14:04Speaker 4: when you're dealing with these, this group of high maintenance ladies.
- 14:07Speaker 4: And apparently her excuse was that her, it seemed all
- 14:11Speaker 4: over the place to me, her excuse.
- 14:13Speaker 3: It wasn't really even like, it wasn't an apology. It
- 14:16Speaker 3: was an excuse.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I don't have a lot of sensitivity for moments like this.
- 14:23Speaker 2: You know, if you're making your spouse wait, they can
- 14:27Speaker 2: confront it. You're making, you know, your friends wait. These are,
- 14:33Speaker 2: in a lot of ways, strangers. And you're making a
- 14:36Speaker 2: lot of people late to something. And people might have
- 14:39Speaker 2: flight anxiety. There might not be an acknowledgement of how
- 14:43Speaker 2: much somebody in that bus really wanted to get to
- 14:46Speaker 2: the airport early there were some of the worst excuses
- 14:49Speaker 2: i've ever heard in fact it starts out with i'm
- 14:52Speaker 2: not gonna say anything and it's like i don't know
- 14:54Speaker 2: if you have that ability.
- 14:55Speaker 4: That's so true she's like no not right now i'm
- 14:59Speaker 4: not saying anything i'm not dignifying that with a response
- 15:02Speaker 4: blah blah blah it's like what do you mean you're
- 15:04Speaker 4: the one in the wrong here Yeah, that was outrageous.
- 15:08Speaker 4: She was like, I'm not going to say anything. I'm like,
- 15:09Speaker 4: then it's going to be a really awkward ride around
- 15:12Speaker 4: the country for the rest of the time if you
- 15:15Speaker 4: don't just say something.
- 15:16Speaker 2: It's one of the interesting personality traits where everybody else
- 15:22Speaker 2: can be on the same page. Like 100 people can
- 15:25Speaker 2: be doing the same thing and you're the one person
- 15:27Speaker 2: doing it differently yet you still believe you're right.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I know, it's so true. I'm similar to.
- 15:35Speaker 4: That and just with Hunter, I have a hard time
- 15:38Speaker 4: being like, I'm sorry. I'm out with periods, you know?
- 15:42Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm sorry, but... And then the whole explanation, like,
- 15:46Speaker 4: I need you to hear me why I thought that way.
- 15:49Speaker 4: But I would never be that way if all these people,
- 15:52Speaker 4: you know, experienced the same thing.
- 15:55Speaker 3: And it was so obviously my bad, you know? But
- 15:58Speaker 3: I wouldn't be like, I'm sorry, but I.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Had to wait for this girl and this girl and
- 16:02Speaker 4: my makeup and she... The end of this is she
- 16:05Speaker 4: wanted her hair and makeup done. It went over and
- 16:08Speaker 4: she goes, keep going. I can't arrive ugly. That's it.
- 16:13Speaker 4: These people can wait on me. It kind of makes
- 16:17Speaker 4: me mad.
- 16:18Speaker 2: And I think that's what that moment was for. I
- 16:20Speaker 2: was not mad at her necessarily. I wasn't the one late.
- 16:23Speaker 2: It just frustrated me. And this Real Housewives franchise does
- 16:27Speaker 2: that so many times to me where I feel something.
- 16:32Speaker 2: inside Lauren where I'm like, I just want to yell
- 16:34Speaker 2: through the screen.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I was watching that scene. I go, Ben's going to
- 16:37Speaker 3: hate this. That's not going to like this.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Cause you're, I feel like you're a timely person in
- 16:42Speaker 4: your apologetic person, which are two things that were not
- 16:45Speaker 4: witness in this episode.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I would have had more anxiety if I like, if
- 16:50Speaker 2: I was Lisa, just walking down the stairs, knowing I'm
- 16:56Speaker 2: about to get on a bus of people that I've
- 16:58Speaker 2: just disappointed daggers.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Just absolute. But she could have been embarrassed. Some people
- 17:06Speaker 2: react with embarrassment with being defensive. She was getting defensive.
- 17:10Speaker 2: But some of these ladies were not having it. It
- 17:13Speaker 2: does bring up the question, Lauren, whose side are you on?
- 17:17Speaker 4: Well, I would say this is going to make me
- 17:20Speaker 4: question everything that Lisa does from here on out. But
- 17:22Speaker 4: I wouldn't say, oh, I'm not close with Lisa anymore
- 17:25Speaker 4: because she was laid one time. I would still have
- 17:28Speaker 4: to see more evidence. Okay. it just made me like, okay,
- 17:31Speaker 4: let me just see what else she does. But it
- 17:34Speaker 4: seems like she's a little more self-absorbed than we thought.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Because I really, really liked her up until this point.
- 17:41Speaker 4: But everyone said, be weary.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Be weary. Hey, somebody else you really like this whole
- 17:47Speaker 2: time is Lillian. You've been a big fan of her.
- 17:50Speaker 2: You get her. You understand her. We kind of see
- 17:53Speaker 2: this core group of Real Housewives ladies that are on
- 17:57Speaker 2: this road trip. navigating all the new entrances. And this
- 18:04Speaker 2: episode was full of new people coming about. It was
- 18:08Speaker 2: a cluster of Atlanta's past and present coming to this
- 18:15Speaker 2: party and us as non-viewers of Atlanta up to this
- 18:19Speaker 2: point trying to catch up. We see what they consider
- 18:23Speaker 2: to be icons of the franchise. Kim Zolciak is there.
- 18:27Speaker 2: We see Nene come back. We see Lisa Wu did
- 18:32Speaker 2: not get mentioned in the speech.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I would be very offended, honestly. And I understand why.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I'd be sad.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I'd be like, oh, I really didn't make a splash
- 18:40Speaker 4: and probably make this whole thing my personality. And the
- 18:43Speaker 4: fact that Nini, the woman that was carried on, carried
- 18:47Speaker 4: in by naked men, didn't remember me would make me
- 18:52Speaker 4: sad for sure.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I think it was just a mistake.
- 18:55Speaker 4: I do.
- 18:57Speaker 2: But it would make me sad. And I think I
- 19:01Speaker 2: historically go into scenarios feeling like my presence matters less
- 19:06Speaker 2: than what maybe others would think, or that is the
- 19:10Speaker 2: reality of the situation. And so that would just be
- 19:13Speaker 2: an ability for me to justify, yes, I actually don't
- 19:17Speaker 2: know if I belong here.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yes, I totally hear you, Ben. That makes so much sense.
- 19:21Speaker 4: And then she's probably thinking, I've been forgotten forever. the
- 19:26Speaker 4: best thing i can do now is absolutely confront her
- 19:29Speaker 4: and then maybe people will actually remember me because i'm
- 19:32Speaker 4: going to be in this episode even more because if
- 19:35Speaker 4: she actually didn't forget her she probably wouldn't even made
- 19:38Speaker 4: the cut.
- 19:39Speaker 2: You're right i mean she would have been like uh
- 19:41Speaker 2: out there like waving her hand up in the air
- 19:43Speaker 2: yeah hey i'm here i don't mind her confronting her
- 19:47Speaker 2: i would have probably done it in a different way
- 19:49Speaker 2: just like hey, you didn't mention me. Do I not
- 19:52Speaker 2: matter to you?
- 19:53Speaker 4: Nini would still have the same reaction. She'd be like, girl,
- 19:56Speaker 4: I don't have time for this.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Yeah, this was not my own purpose. This was an accident.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Later on in this episode, Lauren, we do have the
- 20:17Speaker 2: hilarity of 50 Cent seeming to woo every woman in
- 20:22Speaker 2: the building. And that's where I was going to ring
- 20:24Speaker 2: up Luanne. Your girl Luanne loves herself some 50 Cent
- 20:28Speaker 2: this episode.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Any resemblance of a man she will throw herself at.
- 20:33Speaker 4: And that's what I love about her. I think it's
- 20:34Speaker 4: such a funny personality trait.
- 20:39Speaker 2: She, uh, She's hilarious. And we see in the previews
- 20:43Speaker 2: for the next episode and kind of towards the end
- 20:45Speaker 2: of this episode, everybody starting to get a little annoyed
- 20:49Speaker 2: with Luanne and her tendency to make everything a song. Yes.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I mean, she's an entertainer, of course. She's an entertainer.
- 20:59Speaker 4: But I was actually talking to my friend who knows
- 21:01Speaker 4: every single ounce of housewife history about Luann and how
- 21:05Speaker 4: the best thing about Luann and a trait that I
- 21:07Speaker 4: wish that we all had almost is that you can
- 21:10Speaker 4: say anything to her and she will take it as
- 21:13Speaker 4: a compliment. She's never offended. You could be like, that
- 21:17Speaker 4: song was horrible. She'd be like, yeah, but you know, even,
- 21:21Speaker 4: you know, like even Louboutin makes mistakes, you know? So
- 21:24Speaker 4: she'll think that she's fabulous no matter what, which is,
- 21:28Speaker 4: a person who is meant to be a housewife.
- 21:30Speaker 3: She's not offended.
- 21:31Speaker 4: She's not crying at parties because someone didn't say her name.
- 21:34Speaker 3: That's why she's the best housewife for me.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Let's kind of go back to Lisa for a second
- 21:40Speaker 2: because after the Lisa confrontation, we see Kyle, Lisa, and
- 21:45Speaker 2: I believe Vicky talking amongst each other about the confrontation.
- 21:49Speaker 2: But we also at the same time see the housewives
- 21:52Speaker 2: of Potomac chatting. There is one, they're kind of talking
- 21:57Speaker 2: about how there is one person missing. Karen.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Huger.
- 22:02Speaker 2: How do you say her last name?
- 22:04Speaker 4: Huger.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Huger. We have an update for those that are kind
- 22:08Speaker 2: of trying to catch up on why the former cast member,
- 22:12Speaker 2: Karen Huger, was not at the party.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:15Speaker 4: So she was arrested in March of 2024, charged with
- 22:20Speaker 4: the DUI and DWI, and she actually went to prison.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Um, which I, I don't know.
- 22:27Speaker 4: I'm not very well versed in DUIs or DWIs or anything.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Do people actually go to prison for that?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Uh, I always thought it was after multiple or if
- 22:36Speaker 2: it was at a certain toxicity level or if they
- 22:42Speaker 2: were in like real, like obviously driving drunk is an,
- 22:46Speaker 2: is endangering the public. That's all this, the case. But
- 22:50Speaker 2: if they were like recklessly driving, I think that could
- 22:53Speaker 2: add to it. So, I, again, I'm with you where
- 22:56Speaker 2: it's like, I didn't know that a DUI or DWI
- 23:01Speaker 2: sent people right to prison, but she, there has to
- 23:04Speaker 2: be a little bit more to the story.
- 23:05Speaker 4: I think she got out a little bit early, but
- 23:07Speaker 4: basically she's on her sober journey now. So she thought
- 23:10Speaker 4: being around all these women drinking would kind of be a.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Trigger for her.
- 23:14Speaker 4: So she decided to not go, um, to the ultimate
- 23:17Speaker 4: girls trip reunion here. Um, which makes a lot of
- 23:20Speaker 4: sense for me. That would probably be very, um, I'm
- 23:24Speaker 4: so tired of the word triggering. I'm so sick of it,
- 23:26Speaker 4: but it's, it's the proper use of it in this term.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And we got to respect her sobriety and her path
- 23:34Speaker 2: to betterment, but I'm with you, but they, she's missing.
- 23:38Speaker 2: And so if anybody was wondering where she was at
- 23:40Speaker 2: during this, we did want to bring clarity. A Maryland
- 23:43Speaker 2: jury then found her guilty on all charges, except reckless driving.
- 23:49Speaker 2: And so, Karen was released early from the Montgomery County
- 23:54Speaker 2: Detention Center in Maryland on September 2nd, 2025.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:00Speaker 2: So I'm trying to see here if we have her.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Okay. So she had a DUI and DWI, negligently driving
- 24:11Speaker 2: a vehicle in careless and imprudent manner, endangering property, life,
- 24:16Speaker 2: and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle, is reported.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Was what she was charged with.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Let me just quickly see how many times this has
- 24:25Speaker 3: happened to her so I understand.
- 24:28Speaker 2: As you do that, I am going to continue on
- 24:34Speaker 2: with the Vicky moment. So Vicky, as we mentioned, has
- 24:39Speaker 2: not really enjoyed the ultimate girls trip. I don't think
- 24:43Speaker 2: that that's what the girls trip was meant to be.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I do think they wanted this show to be enjoyable
- 24:47Speaker 2: at some level for each person participating in. A reunion
- 24:51Speaker 2: of sorts. And Vicki stands out to me in such
- 24:54Speaker 2: a large ways because this whole season started at her house.
- 24:58Speaker 2: She was the original host. I know you were looking up.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Did you find out how many times it happened to Karen?
- 25:05Speaker 3: I did four incidences. So there you go. You were right.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that would put you in prison.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Four alcohol-related driving cases and slash arrests.
- 25:16Speaker 2: That would put you in prison.
- 25:17Speaker 3: She did not learn her lesson. But yes, back to Vicky.
- 25:20Speaker 4: She had a little more pep in her step while
- 25:21Speaker 4: she was in her home of the OC.
- 25:24Speaker 3: And now we're losing her.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we're losing her. And she leaves the party early.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I respect the move. Absolutely.
- 25:31Speaker 4: And Kyle was like, hell yeah, let me get out
- 25:32Speaker 4: of here too.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I leave every party early. No matter how great of
- 25:36Speaker 2: a party it is. Take no offense when you invite
- 25:38Speaker 2: me to your party. If you look up and I'm gone,
- 25:42Speaker 2: I will... leave that Irish exiting.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Every time I've said it so many times, one of
- 25:49Speaker 2: the phrases I live by socially is the George Costanza
- 25:54Speaker 2: leave when you're on top, because after that you're, it's
- 25:58Speaker 2: not getting any better. Absolutely.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Ben for sure. And you had a really big wedding, right?
- 26:02Speaker 4: You had a lot of people at your wedding. Did
- 26:05Speaker 4: everyone come up to you and say goodbye? Or were
- 26:07Speaker 4: you just like, please just leave. Cause I'm trying to
- 26:10Speaker 4: enjoy myself.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Most people just love it. And that's good with me.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I respect it. You came, we conquered. Now you go
- 26:18Speaker 2: home when you want to go home. I want you,
- 26:20Speaker 2: I told my wife this on our wedding. I said,
- 26:23Speaker 2: I want people leaving when they feel like they're having
- 26:25Speaker 2: the best time so that when they wake up in
- 26:27Speaker 2: the morning, they go, how great of a time was that? Not,
- 26:31Speaker 2: oh my gosh, I'm so tired.
- 26:33Speaker 3: My feet were hurting.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Last night really dragged on. No, get out of there.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Go home. enjoy the moments in your bed because there's
- 26:41Speaker 2: very few moments, very few days where I'm not in
- 26:45Speaker 2: my bed by.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Nine o'clock, 8.30, 8.30.
- 26:49Speaker 2: So I respect Vicki for it. It doesn't feel like
- 26:52Speaker 2: a big deal. I think it's expected at this point
- 26:55Speaker 2: that she will be kind of on the outside looking
- 26:57Speaker 2: in when it comes to the social aspect of this.
- 27:00Speaker 2: We've already mentioned Lisa holding up the bus. And so
- 27:03Speaker 2: let's kind of close our thoughts, Lauren, with, We kind
- 27:09Speaker 2: of see the previews for the next episode. They're going
- 27:12Speaker 2: to do a lingerie party. This must be a big thing.
- 27:15Speaker 2: They're going to do a 90s neon game beach party
- 27:18Speaker 2: and then the lingerie party. It feels like this lingerie
- 27:21Speaker 2: party is like known. It's kind of like the white party.
- 27:25Speaker 2: People know of it. You kind of want to be invited.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I don't know if it's both men and women attending
- 27:33Speaker 2: the lingerie party.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I wouldn't think so. It seems to be all women attending.
- 27:37Speaker 4: that we've seen, unless this is a change, but I
- 27:39Speaker 4: think it'll probably be all women. What would men wear
- 27:42Speaker 4: to a lingerie party?
- 27:43Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the question. Like, I don't know. Like, uh,
- 27:48Speaker 2: like the speedo.
- 27:49Speaker 4: I was going to say the smoker's jacket for some reason.
- 27:51Speaker 4: I'm just thinking of like playboy.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 2: You would think of like Hugh Hefner maybe like with, uh,
- 27:57Speaker 2: the boxers with the smoker's jacket on top.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:59Speaker 2: That could be a look.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I like it, but I think it'll be all women anyway.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Um, but yeah, uh, We're seeing people get irritated by
- 28:09Speaker 4: Luann classic and then a little more Lisa shade by
- 28:13Speaker 4: Larsa Pippen.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Was she a housewife?
- 28:17Speaker 4: Yes.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Miami.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Miami.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Well, it makes sense. They're in Miami. We do get
- 28:22Speaker 2: to see an appearance from Kelly Ben Simone, who was
- 28:26Speaker 2: broke down the podcast with me.
- 28:28Speaker 3: We love it.
- 28:29Speaker 4: A lot of these names I hear and they've been
- 28:30Speaker 4: like mythical creatures to me. Cause like, I know their names.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I'm like, why do I know Ben Simone so well?
- 28:36Speaker 4: Now I'm learning all of them.
- 28:39Speaker 2: You're seeing them, you're meeting them. You stay in this
- 28:41Speaker 2: world long enough, Lauren, you're going to be surrounded by them.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Isn't that exciting? You can become one of them. Who knows?
- 28:48Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 28:49Speaker 2: It seems to be the track of any co-host I
- 28:52Speaker 2: get is they leave me for.
- 28:55Speaker 1: You know.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Something. Hopefully. Hopefully I'd love some money.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be nice. That'd be so good. I'd be
- 29:02Speaker 2: proud of you. Thank you. Miami does look like it's
- 29:04Speaker 2: going to be fun, but we do see And a
- 29:06Speaker 2: lot of the preview, kind of an annoyance with Luann.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I don't know how real it is. Previews can be
- 29:14Speaker 2: just highlighting the one moment somebody said something. But this
- 29:19Speaker 2: ultimate girls trip is continuing. The ladies are gathering, bringing
- 29:25Speaker 2: in familiar faces from the past and the present. We're
- 29:28Speaker 2: still waiting for hopefully an appearance from our very own Ashley.
- 29:33Speaker 3: I'm losing hope at this point, but we'll see.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I am losing hope, too. I don't see it. The women.
- 29:40Speaker 2: are partying at Dorinda's Bluestone Manor and Andy Cohen shows up.
- 29:45Speaker 4: What do we call him again? Our game master or something?
- 29:49Speaker 4: Our Dark Lord is there and everyone wants to win
- 29:53Speaker 4: his affection. So that'll be very fun to see. But
- 29:56Speaker 4: it seems like it all collides at Bluestone Manor based
- 30:00Speaker 4: on all the trailers. They keep showing it.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Is that the conclusion of the season?
- 30:04Speaker 4: I'm not going to say yes because I don't know,
- 30:06Speaker 4: but it seems like it's all coming to a close there.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Or the drama really happens there.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Feels like the real Housewives fan base has enjoyed another
- 30:14Speaker 2: season of the Ultimate Girls Trip. We have as well.
- 30:18Speaker 2: We're learning as we go alongside of all of you
- 30:21Speaker 2: who are either legendary watchers of the show or experts
- 30:26Speaker 2: in each city and location, or newbies like us who
- 30:31Speaker 2: are just being exposed to the characters, the cast, the drama,
- 30:35Speaker 2: the behind the scenes, the personalities, and the things to come.
- 30:39Speaker 2: So stay here, listen to us as we break down
- 30:41Speaker 2: The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip leading up to The
- 30:45Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Rhode Island Season 2. My wonderful co-host
- 30:50Speaker 2: Lauren will be joining us the whole way. She will
- 30:54Speaker 2: be sharing her insights, her humor. She'll be learning new
- 30:59Speaker 2: definitions of terms that we've been using since high school.
- 31:02Speaker 2: It's exciting here. We have a great time. But until
- 31:05Speaker 2: next time, I've been Ben.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I've been Lauren.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Bye.
