- 0:00And well, I knew it wouldn't take long.
- 0:01The world's most dangerous audience right to the rescue with the details that I didn't have for this story that I heard.
- 0:08And lit literally the story was told to me like this.
- 0:10They said, Did you hear West West Elmira PD got respon had they responded to a call?
- 0:15Somebody hit a bear.
- 0:16I don't remember what road, whatever.
- 0:18Somebody hit a bear.
- 0:19They hit fuzzy wuzzy.
- 0:20Took off, and but they left their bumper behind.
- 0:23And I stopped.
- 0:24Whoops.
- 0:24And what went through my brain was two things.
- 0:26We've already discovered apparently there's no charge or fine for hitting a bear.
- 0:30Right.
- 0:30Um, I mean, it's it's an accident.
- 0:32They ran out in front of you.
- 0:33I mean, you know, what are you gonna do?
- 0:34It's like a deer, right?
- 0:35It's called the act of nature.
- 0:36Yeah, uh, but the bumper being left behind, I'm like, well, they're gonna find the person that took off.
- 0:41You justified it, I can say, I think pretty well by saying you might have scared.
- 0:45You might have been in in great fear thinking the bear was gonna stand up and shake the car, try to get in, whatever.
- 0:52Rattle you around.
- 0:53Well, and it's gonna rattle my car and cause damage to my car, too.
- 0:57So I yeah, goodbye.
- 0:58I'm leaving.
- 0:59And even if I do later, call the cops.
- 1:01But what's the update?
- 1:02Well, uh, 6015 said uh they said good everyone, first of all.
- 1:06Yeah, they said, uh, oh, happy Tata Tuesday.
- 1:08The bear was a cub that was hit, so it was a little bear.
- 1:12Oh, now you feel bad about it.
- 1:14This thing's rooting through my garbage, too.
- 1:16A little bit.
- 1:16Okay, go ahead.
- 1:17Okay, uh, anyway, it ran off, didn't die, they say, and the driver called and reported.
- 1:22So, oh, I guess they meant so did someone else uh that saw it.
- 1:25Not that they said didn't, but I think did well the good thing is, is they probably got their bumper back, and that doesn't sound like too too much damage.
- 1:34If it's just a bumper, I mean that's not cheap, but if it's just a bumper, then it's just a bumper.
- 1:39Because well, I don't know, what's what's a bumper to put back on?
- 1:42No, I don't I don't know either.
- 1:44Long out of the body shop business here, Allie.
- 1:46But but Zach has been driving a rental for like two months now.
- 1:50Oh my god.
- 1:51Yeah, because I don't know how this happens, and it happened to him twice, but the second time it really sucked.
- 1:57Was his hood flew open?
- 2:00So the first time it happened, we were on the Robert Patton, not Robert Pattinson Bridge.
- 2:06Actually, I love that.
- 2:07You should just call it.
- 2:08We were on the Robert Pattinson Bridge.
- 2:10Yes, the one that goes into corning.
- 2:12Yes, the one right next to Wegmans.
- 2:13Uh-huh.
- 2:14And the hood flew up.
- 2:15We're both like, oh my god.
- 2:17So you were in the car?
- 2:18Yes.
- 2:18And was it like in the movies?
- 2:19Where I don't know if this ever happened in a movie.
- 2:21Oh, probably Duke's a hazard or something back in like the 80s, and it just went whoop and you couldn't see.
- 2:27Yes.
- 2:27Were you like sticking your head out the window like Oh, you're not gonna hit anything, man?
- 2:30Like a pulling a Jim Carrey.
- 2:32Yes.
- 2:32No, the well, okay.
- 2:35I started laughing uncomfortably.
- 2:37Did you laugh?
- 2:37Or were you like Well, both, and I was uncomfortably laughing, and I think that he was less than impressed with that moment.
- 2:44But you know, okay, we could we just because right before that, he was having an issue getting the hood open.
- 2:50He went to put in some wiper fluid, right?
- 2:53So luckily, the Robert Pattinson bridge.
- 2:56Yes, you're going very, very slow.
- 2:58Okay.
- 2:59Oh, you're the one.
- 3:00Then it was St.
- 3:01Patrick's Day.
- 3:01He was going up to his nephew's hockey game or something, and he was driving up to Buffalo.
- 3:07Well, all of a sudden, he's now going like 80 up to Buffalo.
- 3:11Boom! The thing flies open again.
- 3:14See, I'm uncomfortably laughing too.
- 3:16I don't feel bad.
- 3:17Cracked windshield, cracked moon, yeah, cracked moon roof, and then that it's actually it's amazing he kept control of the car because I think most people would be like swerving all over the road.
- 3:29He said he was so lucky that he wasn't in the passing lane, he was in, you know, the the regular lane.
- 3:33Yeah.
- 3:34And you know how when back in the day, cans they would kind of curl if you opened them like a sardine can?
- 3:39His hood started curling.
- 3:42That's how much damage was happening.
- 3:43Oh my god.
- 3:44Yeah.
- 3:45Wow.
- 3:45Yeah.
- 3:46Exactly.
- 3:46So I take it they're trying to fix this.
- 3:49Yeah, the it started out as like a$1,500 estimate and now it's gotten to like$7,000.
- 3:55Oh God, trade the car in.
- 3:56I know.
- 3:57Just take it and be like, I'm done here.
- 3:58But they keep like just pushing it up, pushing it up.
- 4:01And then, of course, the rental, the car rental, uh, you know, it only gets approved for so many days.
- 4:06Well, exactly.
- 4:06And then they kept kept extending it.
- 4:08Well, just the other day, they're like, Well, you know, you're up to like$3,000 in rentals, and he's like, not my fault.
- 4:13Well, what do you want me to do?
- 4:14Exactly.
- 4:14Exactly.
- 4:15So is the car at an independent shop or is it like at a dealer where they're like, I'll I'll tell you where it is.
- 4:21It's at Ferrar.
- 4:24Right.
- 4:24That's what and he doesn't own a Ford.
- 4:27He owns a Subaru.
- 4:28So it was because he's a lesbian.
- 4:30No, I'm kidding.
- 4:31Actually, that's accurate, but it's all right.
- 4:33I mean, so am I.
- 4:35So accurate.
- 4:36So I am too.
- 4:38So anyway, uh, but you know, and they're doing what of course you have to go through the approval of getting the parts and getting the labor approved and all of that.
- 4:46So it's just kind of taken a long time.
- 4:48Obviously, that's been since St.
- 4:49Patrick's Day.
- 4:50Wow.
- 4:51Yeah, yeah.
- 4:52I didn't know that could actually happen.
- 4:54I really thought it only happened in the Dukes of Hazard.
- 4:56Right.
- 4:57You see it in the movies, but that's it.
- 4:59Oh, and also, by the way, I'm sweating like a hoe in church.
- 5:02What happened?
- 5:03Nothing.
- 5:03I'm just all worked up this morning, but it is Tata Tuesday, and I have a mammogram today, and I can't wear deodorant.
- 5:10So I'm sorry if it starts to sweat.
- 5:11Oh, when you said you were sweating, I'm like, what are you having like an early hot flash?
- 5:15I mean, is it because you've mentioned perimenopause like multiple times?
- 5:20No, no, I'm I don't think I'm in perimenopause yet.
- 5:22But I um do you like how I called it peri, like uh Luke Perry?
- 5:26Yeah, Luke Perimenopause on the Robert Pattinson bridge.
- 5:29Yes, yes.
- 5:30No, but I think it's because I'm not wearing deodorant that I'm like really sweating.
- 5:33Oh, you feel like you're really noticing it.
- 5:34Yes, yes.
- 5:35And and I can't do anything about it, which is also What time's that uh uh that mammogram?
- 5:40Oh, it's not until 1 30.
- 5:41Oh, yeah, this is a full day of sweats.
- 5:44Here's to a whole new smell in this room.
