- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with your hosts Adam Todd
- 0:16Speaker 1: Brown and Conor mcspatting.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Connor mcspadden got called into a writing room today to
- 0:39Speaker 2: write jokes for someone a roast, some sort of Comedy
- 0:45Speaker 2: Central roast thing. I'm sure he does that all the time.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Good for him out there getting paid to work like
- 0:51Speaker 2: a fucking idiot. What a dork. Laura Crawford's joining me though,
- 0:56Speaker 2: Nan guest today. Yeah, it's so early. I I like
- 1:01Speaker 2: this new schedule where I kind of forced comics to
- 1:04Speaker 2: just roll out of bed and then come and record.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I know I did a show last night. It arrested
- 1:08Speaker 3: Andre the Giant at the Comedy Store, so that was late.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm good today. I'm gonna get to win it.
- 1:15Speaker 2: You've yet to ask me to make you coffee? No,
- 1:17Speaker 2: I'm not going to it happens. I've had a free plushy,
- 1:21Speaker 2: and who am I to coffee?
- 1:23Speaker 3: But also, you know it's your last name Donuts, first
- 1:26Speaker 3: name Duncan. It's not your responsibility exactly to bring some
- 1:30Speaker 3: Starbucks depend on coffee.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So we are talking about a documentary today, a documentary
- 1:38Speaker 2: called Mirage Men, which I've I've recommended it to people
- 1:42Speaker 2: on this podcast a few different times, although every time
- 1:46Speaker 2: I've recommended it, I forgot the name.
- 1:48Speaker 3: It's not Yeah, it's not mirage Men. It's a bit
- 1:52Speaker 3: it's not as obvious as you would think. Yeah, like
- 1:54Speaker 3: gas Land or like yeah, I think another capturing the
- 1:57Speaker 3: Freedman's or those things just roll off the top.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah. But I finally I finally tracked it down. But
- 2:03Speaker 2: I just literally googled the premise and it came right up.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So I probably could have sorted that out a while ago.
- 2:10Speaker 2: But ah, who's got the time?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It's a twenty thirteen documentary film directed by John Lundberg,
- 2:16Speaker 2: the boss in Office Space. Yes I believe. Now his
- 2:19Speaker 2: name was Bill, isn't it Bill Lumberg? Yeah? But still Lomberg?
- 2:23Speaker 2: You fucked Blomberg.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Ah.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Still a good reference, yeah, I think. And it's a
- 2:29Speaker 2: film about how the government used mythology and information to
- 2:34Speaker 2: cover up advanced technology that we're working on or is
- 2:37Speaker 2: it about that? I feel like like I halfway through this,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I felt like, is this part of it? Like are
- 2:42Speaker 2: they doing it again? Like they're like it's it's uh,
- 2:46Speaker 2: it's a confusing watch.
- 2:47Speaker 3: It is a confusing watch, and it's and when you've
- 2:49Speaker 3: seen a lot of other alien documentaries, conspiracy documentaries, sometimes
- 2:53Speaker 3: it does sort of start mild together in your mind.
- 2:56Speaker 3: You know, you're like, what did I learn from this
- 2:57Speaker 3: one versus this one?
- 2:59Speaker 2: Right and specific points. This one sort of challenges a
- 3:04Speaker 2: lot of the things that hardcore conspiracy theorists think they
- 3:08Speaker 2: know about aliens. But I would maybe even not say that.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Maybe it's more what casual conspiracy theorists think they know,
- 3:15Speaker 2: because I feel like all the hardcore ones are in
- 3:17Speaker 2: this documentary same we got lied to? Yeah, and everyone
- 3:21Speaker 2: else is still like, no, that didn't happen. The documentary
- 3:26Speaker 2: it's the basis for the book Armada by Ernest Klein,
- 3:29Speaker 2: the guy who wrote Ready Player One. Didn't know that
- 3:32Speaker 2: And this Armada is being made into a movie also,
- 3:36Speaker 2: so this is potentially a documentary about the sequel to
- 3:39Speaker 2: Ready Player One. Whoa so nice? Go watch Mirage Men
- 3:43Speaker 2: and have that movie ruined for you.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:47Speaker 2: The main subject is this guy named Richard Dody. What'd
- 3:50Speaker 2: you think of Richard Dody upon your first impression of him?
- 3:53Speaker 3: I mean, credible, Yeah, I mean mostly credible.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I was.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I was intrigued. I wasn't like, oh, I'm ready to
- 4:00Speaker 3: see what this guy say. It's about everything, But I
- 4:02Speaker 3: was like, Okay, you're a guy who wants to be
- 4:03Speaker 3: in a documentary. You know, I'll buy into it to
- 4:06Speaker 3: an extent.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, his name comes up in a lot of UFO conspiracies,
- 4:12Speaker 2: and in some of them he's like the guy who
- 4:16Speaker 2: first broke the news. Yeah, and what this documentary claims
- 4:21Speaker 2: and what he I think it's it's kind of verified
- 4:23Speaker 2: that his job when he worked for the government as
- 4:27Speaker 2: part of the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigation,
- 4:32Speaker 2: if someone got too close to discovering some sort of
- 4:36Speaker 2: secret technology that we were developing, this guy would go
- 4:40Speaker 2: out and kind of intercept them and feed them false
- 4:44Speaker 2: information to discredit them.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yes, which is something that you know, I think were
- 4:48Speaker 3: I feel like we were talking about this last time
- 4:50Speaker 3: we were here, talking about all the stuff to do
- 4:52Speaker 3: with who's the woman who had the ted talk about
- 4:55Speaker 3: conspiracies into bunking people, Oh yeah, and talking basically about
- 4:59Speaker 3: the whole thing is to discredit the person making the claim,
- 5:02Speaker 3: not necessarily even to describe their claim, to make it
- 5:05Speaker 3: just so that they seem insane, right, or that the
- 5:07Speaker 3: idea of having a conspiracy in effect is insane on
- 5:11Speaker 3: its own. That anyone can suspect a conspiracy means that
- 5:14Speaker 3: they're insane, right, right.
- 5:16Speaker 2: And that I think is if there was ever a
- 5:19Speaker 2: plot to make that the case, I think it succeeded
- 5:21Speaker 2: because now when conspiracy theory, when that phrase comes up,
- 5:26Speaker 2: people automatically go to Alex Jones Fox News and just
- 5:31Speaker 2: assume that because that word's involved, it's nonsense. Yeah, which
- 5:36Speaker 2: I think this this documentary kind of tackles that idea.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Yeah, but it is, it does tackle that idea. I mean,
- 5:44Speaker 3: it's just funny because it's like the whole idea that
- 5:47Speaker 3: like sci fi movies and video games are to prepare
- 5:50Speaker 3: us for a war with the aliens.
- 5:51Speaker 2: It's like, I know, yeah, spoiler, that's what Armada is about.
- 5:56Speaker 3: It seems almost too much like what's that shitty movie
- 5:59Speaker 3: that Adams said made where they're fighting aliens from out
- 6:02Speaker 3: of space using video games?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Oh I didn't.
- 6:06Speaker 3: That's a ripoff. It's a ripoff of a Futurama episode
- 6:10Speaker 3: or Fried does the same thing where they fight space
- 6:12Speaker 3: invaders by playing the game Space Invaders.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't remember the name of it, but I
- 6:17Speaker 2: know what movie you're talking about, and I remember everyone
- 6:19Speaker 2: hated it. Yeah, it was really horrible. Yeah, I can imagine.
- 6:23Speaker 3: It's an I'm Sandler movie the last five years, so yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 3: you can.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Put it together. Uh, what is that noise? Are the
- 6:29Speaker 2: aliens invading right now?
- 6:31Speaker 3: Every time, my every time the lights flicker and stuff
- 6:35Speaker 3: and like something gets fucked up. I think of that
- 6:37Speaker 3: scene an American horse Story and Asylum where the aliens
- 6:39Speaker 3: come and the light's gonnall fucked up and it's like, oh, yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 3: they're coming for me.
- 6:44Speaker 2: How about that out story? Leanne Tooker told us after
- 6:48Speaker 2: the last time we recorded, which she did not bother
- 6:52Speaker 2: to bring up on the episode, that was so eerie.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Why where she and her father were texting back and
- 6:58Speaker 2: forth and they texted like they have this like inside
- 7:03Speaker 2: joke that involves the name the country name Libya.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yes, so they and her dad accidentally texted her once
- 7:08Speaker 3: I love you or he was gonna write I love you,
- 7:11Speaker 3: and he actually wrote Libya yahut love you. And so
- 7:15Speaker 3: from then on they would just say at the end
- 7:17Speaker 3: of a conversation and say, all right.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Libya yeah, and that happened. But then her she sent
- 7:23Speaker 2: back a response that I think was also like a
- 7:26Speaker 2: country name or something.
- 7:28Speaker 3: She said that they were specifically one time having a
- 7:30Speaker 3: conversation and met something on the news, right and at
- 7:34Speaker 3: the end of it they said Libya or something, and
- 7:36Speaker 3: she said that the screen on her phone just went
- 7:39Speaker 3: into pixelated lines, like scrolling down the screen and had
- 7:43Speaker 3: a reaction that she's never seen her her phone committed
- 7:46Speaker 3: an action. It's where you say, that phone like a
- 7:48Speaker 3: wave like yeah, yeah, there was just like it was
- 7:51Speaker 3: like a lockdown and got into some kind of repair
- 7:54Speaker 3: mode or something that looked like a repair mode, a
- 7:57Speaker 3: control panel thing take over and just admit.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and then it just came back and.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Then yeah, I went to black and then it came
- 8:04Speaker 3: back up again. Yeah, And I was.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Like, you're yeah, the nssay is on that phone right then?
- 8:09Speaker 3: Yeah, they just plugged into that.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Have you seen the wire? That's what happened to you
- 8:13Speaker 2: just now, Yeah, you just got plugged into it. So
- 8:17Speaker 2: that was sort of a tangent, I guess. But shout
- 8:19Speaker 2: out to lee Ane Tooker, that was a great story.
- 8:21Speaker 2: You should started on the podcast.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So Eerie creepy, the freak out. Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So this documentary starts talking with the Robertson panel, which
- 8:29Speaker 2: was the thing that happened in nineteen fifty two when
- 8:31Speaker 2: there were a lot of UFO reports because that was
- 8:34Speaker 2: like the Roswell days and whatnot. And somehow this panel
- 8:38Speaker 2: concludes that there's no validity to these reports, but nevertheless,
- 8:43Speaker 2: the government has to start making an effort to debunk
- 8:46Speaker 2: people who report things of this nature. Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Basically, there takeaways were that they had to reduce public
- 8:55Speaker 3: interest in aliens or flying aircraft of any kind, and
- 8:59Speaker 3: so that there was a oh, we don't want, you know,
- 9:01Speaker 3: like the air defense systems being swamped with reports critical times.
- 9:06Speaker 3: We don't want to get too many calls in here
- 9:08Speaker 3: because that would be bad.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, then our phone lives are chammed. Yeah yeah, what Yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 3: That seems like kind of a small concern to create
- 9:18Speaker 3: a panel about.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Right, and it seems to come up all throughout this
- 9:23Speaker 2: documentary the idea that is the government using technology to
- 9:29Speaker 2: hide the fact that aliens are here, or are they
- 9:33Speaker 2: using like this alien hoax, yeah, to hide the technology
- 9:38Speaker 2: that they're developing. It seems like it's kind of a
- 9:40Speaker 2: combination of all of it from it this documentary.
- 9:44Speaker 3: It's quite confusing about what is really going on, because, yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 3: on the one hand, they're like, we want to get
- 9:50Speaker 3: the public disinterested in aliens, and it's like, well, a
- 9:54Speaker 3: way to keep the public disinterested in aliens would be
- 9:58Speaker 3: to not intervene when people reports of aliens, to ignore them, right,
- 10:02Speaker 3: that would be one way to not give people credit
- 10:05Speaker 3: or to have people not make statements about aliens at all.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Right, that's a good.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Way to not form panels about it.
- 10:10Speaker 2: To not form it any panels that end up with
- 10:13Speaker 2: them forming departments with people that go out because this
- 10:17Speaker 2: Richard Dody, I couldn't have been the only one.
- 10:20Speaker 3: No, I mean yeah, it seems like if it's just
- 10:22Speaker 3: a psychological effect, it's like, can you imagine how many
- 10:26Speaker 3: people who are just you know, paranoid or whatever have
- 10:29Speaker 3: nightmares or dreams. How many people will probably go to
- 10:32Speaker 3: doctors or hospitals and say Donald Trump's trying to kill me,
- 10:35Speaker 3: or oh yeah, for such a person in government is
- 10:37Speaker 3: trying to kill me, or is following me, or I
- 10:40Speaker 3: saw them, or I know this thing about them. They
- 10:43Speaker 3: don't form panels about that. They're just like, oh yeah,
- 10:45Speaker 3: there's a certain amount of in saying people in the world,
- 10:47Speaker 3: and they'll say certain things about people who are high
- 10:49Speaker 3: profile figures, but this is beyond.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Yeah, like this is this is the guy almost going
- 10:54Speaker 2: in reverse, yes, and going after smaller profile figures while
- 10:58Speaker 2: they're still small enough that they can kind of fuck
- 11:01Speaker 2: with them right away.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And one of the main cases that comes up as
- 11:07Speaker 2: Paul Benowitz, He's one of the first interactions between this
- 11:13Speaker 2: Richard Dody and a member of the general public that
- 11:17Speaker 2: they profile and Benwit's He's living somewhere near the Manzano
- 11:21Speaker 2: Mountains in Albuquerque, and he says he sees lights come
- 11:28Speaker 2: up from the ground and disappear behind a mountain, which
- 11:31Speaker 2: if you look at all of the old like eighties
- 11:35Speaker 2: nineties UFO videos, they look like drones in a lot
- 11:39Speaker 2: of cases they.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Do, and they're often over mountains or over aerial shots.
- 11:43Speaker 3: You think. I always think of that X Files poster.
- 11:46Speaker 3: I want to believe where they show it in the
- 11:48Speaker 3: yah above that. And it is funny how the thing
- 11:50Speaker 3: that I love about alien history and in general, why
- 11:53Speaker 3: I think it's so interesting, but what it says about people,
- 11:55Speaker 3: whether you believe it or not, is the sort of
- 11:58Speaker 3: trends that come with alien culture and the white people
- 12:01Speaker 3: reinterpreted over time. You know, in the fifties Nordics, right,
- 12:05Speaker 3: people were obsessed with the Nordic race. Was the thing
- 12:08Speaker 3: you heard about all the time, these tall, elegant aliens.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It almost looked like Nazis. I think at that way,
- 12:13Speaker 2: I just defeated. I think at that point it was
- 12:15Speaker 2: America hoping it was that.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, wouldn't that beautiful.
- 12:18Speaker 2: And influx of white people.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah, beautiful all we want, Yes, beautiful androgenis anyone can get.
- 12:23Speaker 2: The greatest generation?
- 12:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and uh and also but then it's funny because
- 12:28Speaker 3: in the in the eighties you get to hear more
- 12:31Speaker 3: people talk about reptilians, which are sort of dangerous and evil,
- 12:34Speaker 3: And it's funny. You think of the eighties crazy conservatism,
- 12:37Speaker 3: my heavy metal, satanic panics. Yeah, and then you get
- 12:40Speaker 3: this lizard like creature that's an alien, that's an evating force.
- 12:44Speaker 3: It's much more evil, violent, dark. And in the nineties,
- 12:47Speaker 3: what is it, grays they got big skulls man because
- 12:50Speaker 3: they're forward thinking. Ecstasy and you know, the Internet is
- 12:54Speaker 3: going to connect everybody. Yeah, environmentalism and peace and it
- 12:58Speaker 3: became like not totally benevolent, but sort of more you know,
- 13:02Speaker 3: right forward thinking, I guess, or they look like the
- 13:05Speaker 3: next stage of evolution of a human, you know, with
- 13:07Speaker 3: the bigger head, bigger eyes and all that shit.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah. It became a thing I think around the late
- 13:13Speaker 2: nineties early two thousands where we would talk about aliens
- 13:17Speaker 2: landing and how we would probably be the aggressors, and
- 13:21Speaker 2: oh we wouldn't even hear him out, and it's like,
- 13:23Speaker 2: should we like, should we maybe just shoot him right away?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yeah, if you can, you can, if you can isolate
- 13:29Speaker 3: and kill this, do it.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah, at least shoot one to show them what we're
- 13:33Speaker 2: working with, because maybe they have no weapons, yeah, and
- 13:35Speaker 2: they'll just throw their hands up.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Maybe they've never even heard of physical aggression.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Have you ever looked into David Ike? Yes, Oh, I've
- 13:42Speaker 2: watched men and men and men. Oh, because he's like,
- 13:44Speaker 2: oh my god, he's like almost kind of the father
- 13:47Speaker 2: of that reptilia.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Ye spirit, Yeah he is. And a lot of the
- 13:51Speaker 3: things that he said I think gave way to a
- 13:53Speaker 3: lot of the interest in serpent culture, in a serpent trends,
- 13:58Speaker 3: in ancient architecture. Oh, people looking at snake cults and
- 14:03Speaker 3: reptilian reptilian type of beans in worldwide religions and how
- 14:07Speaker 3: ubiquitous it is and what kind of characteristics those creatures
- 14:10Speaker 3: have and how that could be a model for them. Yeah,
- 14:14Speaker 3: so yeah, I love David. I would say that he
- 14:15Speaker 3: sounds like Michael Caine mixed with Alex Jones.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, bloody, motivous. He's kind of kind of refreshing as
- 14:25Speaker 2: far as conspiracy.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Yes, and he's Oh my god, you see this audiences, dude,
- 14:31Speaker 3: I would love them.
- 14:32Speaker 2: An audience that big, yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 3: For two hours and then just slide shows, shitty little
- 14:36Speaker 3: jokes on side shows, and they're like, it's like it's
- 14:40Speaker 3: like a picture of like eighty white sheet with one
- 14:43Speaker 3: black she and it's like, well I blown in when
- 14:45Speaker 3: you can stand out And he's like exactly right, and
- 14:47Speaker 3: they're like and I was like, that's not even a
- 14:50Speaker 3: good joke.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like a rock start. That's how I discrediting him.
- 14:56Speaker 2: They're like, we'll write your jokes for you. Don't worry
- 14:58Speaker 2: about it.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Oh my god. Well his son got off a big
- 15:00Speaker 3: football contract in the UK. Soun's a football Oh really, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 3: Well he used to be awesome. He was a goalie
- 15:06Speaker 3: and I know exactly composition that I played professionally, kill me.
- 15:12Speaker 3: But his son was told by the team, you have
- 15:14Speaker 3: to discredit your father, or you have to publicly say
- 15:17Speaker 3: that you don't agree with what he agrees with, and
- 15:19Speaker 3: he refused to do it, so we dropped the contract.
- 15:20Speaker 3: He wouldn't take it. Good for him, yeah, because he's like, yeah,
- 15:23Speaker 3: they were like, you have to because it's his whole family,
- 15:25Speaker 3: is inn't it. I mean it was families.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's the thing. He was just he was
- 15:30Speaker 2: such a normal dude, like he was just a BBC
- 15:34Speaker 2: sports host, and then all of a sudden came out
- 15:37Speaker 2: with this theory and it's like.
- 15:39Speaker 3: H well, he first thought he was Jesus, right.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I do remember that because that one of the aliens
- 15:46Speaker 2: told him, yes, that he was basically sent Yeah, oh
- 15:52Speaker 2: good times. Everyone should check out. We did an episode
- 15:54Speaker 2: about David I Oh, I love him a few months.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I think he's he's so fascinating and yeah, a lot
- 15:59Speaker 3: of the stuff, if you're interesting anything with an Anaki,
- 16:01Speaker 3: any of the Samarians, engine alien stuff, he's kind of
- 16:04Speaker 3: the basis of a lot of that stuff. Or if
- 16:06Speaker 3: you the Illuminati, a World Order. If you think that,
- 16:09Speaker 3: I think he has a video called Satanic Satanist Pedophiles
- 16:13Speaker 3: Run the World.
- 16:15Speaker 2: That'd be a good album name. Yes, that's got to
- 16:18Speaker 2: be coming at some point. So let's talk about Paul Bennowitz.
- 16:22Speaker 2: He was one of the victims of Richard Dody that's
- 16:25Speaker 2: profiled in this and he sees all these lights. He
- 16:29Speaker 2: runs this company called Thunder Scientific Corporation, which is his company,
- 16:34Speaker 2: and he's described as a genius, and he figures out
- 16:40Speaker 2: a way to basically he starts intercepting radio signals or
- 16:46Speaker 2: something coming from this base, and they're apparently unlike anything
- 16:53Speaker 2: his science brain has ever heard. So he contacts the
- 16:56Speaker 2: Air Force and says, I think there are UFOs operating
- 17:01Speaker 2: near your base. Yes, and enter Richard Doty. He shows
- 17:05Speaker 2: up and listens to these recordings and he's like, well,
- 17:08Speaker 2: what he's actually picking up is secret shit we're working
- 17:12Speaker 2: on at this Air Force base. So we're just going
- 17:15Speaker 2: to tell him it's UFOs. Yeah, that was there.
- 17:19Speaker 3: It's pretty awful, and it's kind of almost tied into
- 17:21Speaker 3: the mk Ultra stuff we were talking about the other week,
- 17:24Speaker 3: because one of the things if you read about Benowitz
- 17:28Speaker 3: was that ufologist William Moore claims that he tried to
- 17:32Speaker 3: push Benowitz, who had been in a mental health facility
- 17:34Speaker 3: on three occasions after suffering severe delusional paranoia, into a
- 17:38Speaker 3: mental breakdown, by feeding him false information about aliens.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah. So, yeah, this guy eventually gets institutionalized because no
- 17:47Speaker 2: one believes him. Yeah.
- 17:48Speaker 3: I think there's the thing of starting out in a
- 17:50Speaker 3: fragile state and when people are fucking with you, right,
- 17:53Speaker 3: very dangerous, very dangerous, and it's the kind of thing
- 17:58Speaker 3: that could really entel you. And then the thing that
- 18:00Speaker 3: it's funnier to me is the experience of being a
- 18:02Speaker 3: deluded paranoid, if that's what he was, I don't know. Uh,
- 18:06Speaker 3: to be put into a facility just seems like the
- 18:09Speaker 3: worst of that, doesn't it.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah, especially when why didn't that.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Just amplify your feelings of being persecuted?
- 18:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, absolutely, And especially when the government is involved
- 18:19Speaker 2: in this and they know it's happening to this dude.
- 18:22Speaker 2: And Richard Dody does at one point say look, I
- 18:24Speaker 2: sat him down and was like, look, man, everything I've
- 18:27Speaker 2: told you is a lie, Like we were feeding you
- 18:29Speaker 2: false information so we could like put you off the
- 18:32Speaker 2: track of this real thing that we were doing. And
- 18:35Speaker 2: ben how can you even believe that? Right? And that's
- 18:38Speaker 2: what Benowitz's is, like.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I'm a liar. Believe me. I'm a liar.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, believe me.
- 18:42Speaker 3: I never tell the truth. Believe me. I just spout
- 18:45Speaker 3: lies all the time. Don't believe a damn thing I say.
- 18:48Speaker 2: And that was basically Paul Benowitz's response was don't try
- 18:52Speaker 2: and fucking tell me you're lion now, like I know
- 18:55Speaker 2: the alien stuff is real and that you're just like
- 18:59Speaker 2: because he never liked completely believe this guy. No, Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 2: but he believed him just enough that he would put
- 19:05Speaker 2: he would get this UFO information and then share it
- 19:08Speaker 2: with the world and everyone would be like, what that
- 19:12Speaker 2: doesn't sound right. They at one point they he goes
- 19:17Speaker 2: up to the Archileeda Mesa, which is a section of
- 19:22Speaker 2: mountain in Albuquerque or in I think in just in
- 19:26Speaker 2: New Mexico. I don't think that part's in Albuquerque, and
- 19:29Speaker 2: like they were talking about how before they flew him
- 19:32Speaker 2: up there, they like spread a bunch of false evidence, yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 2: to make it look like there was alien activity and
- 19:39Speaker 2: that he needed to research it. Like that's so much effort,
- 19:44Speaker 2: it's so bonkers.
- 19:45Speaker 3: But It's funny because it's like when I think of
- 19:48Speaker 3: people spreading false evidence. One of the things that's amazing
- 19:51Speaker 3: that I've never heard of this on a small scale,
- 19:53Speaker 3: not related to this exactly. Do you know that the
- 19:55Speaker 3: Birthright trip will actually plant Israeli or Jewish ancient items
- 20:02Speaker 3: in areas, will to bring kids for digs so that
- 20:05Speaker 3: they think that they find ancient Israeli or ancient Jewish
- 20:09Speaker 3: coins or pieces of bits of shit. So, but what
- 20:13Speaker 3: that does is it creates a false idea in their
- 20:16Speaker 3: brain that this is a Jewish area that's always been
- 20:19Speaker 3: Jewish and that Jewish people had lived there birth thousands
- 20:22Speaker 3: of Yews.
- 20:22Speaker 2: What do you mean like it would.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Be anything else, You're crazy. Yeah, but they planted false
- 20:27Speaker 3: archaeological stuff on quote unquote digs for pretty smart participants. Yeah,
- 20:32Speaker 3: to cement the idea in their mind that it's their birthright.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's their birthright. And then our government did that
- 20:39Speaker 2: to this guy, as if we have a birthright to anything.
- 20:41Speaker 3: I don't know, but anyway, as if anyone has a
- 20:43Speaker 3: birthright to anything except original sin right except the monk
- 20:48Speaker 3: of cave.
- 20:50Speaker 2: So yeah, they did that to this guy. They fly
- 20:53Speaker 2: him up there because he had. He had gone out there,
- 20:56Speaker 2: I think, by himself at one point to investigate. And
- 21:00Speaker 2: this is when he took a bunch of pictures he thought,
- 21:04Speaker 2: he said he saw lights emanating from the ground. And
- 21:08Speaker 2: at one point Dody looks at these pictures and he's
- 21:11Speaker 2: straight up in this documentary because he who knows if
- 21:14Speaker 2: he's ever telling the truth. Yeah, he goes, I looked
- 21:17Speaker 2: at it. I looked at one of them, man, Yeah,
- 21:18Speaker 2: it looked like those were UFOs, But the second one
- 21:21Speaker 2: was just a top secret government project that he'd gotten
- 21:24Speaker 2: pictures of. Yeah, And I was like, oh, no, like that.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Like so now they have him getting actual radio signals
- 21:33Speaker 2: and pictures of things that are happening. So they really
- 21:37Speaker 2: swing into overdrive trying to discredit this guy.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, or get people off, get people to stop
- 21:43Speaker 3: listening to.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Them, right, And part of that they they take him
- 21:46Speaker 2: up to the have you ever heard of the Dulci basse?
- 21:49Speaker 3: Yes? Is that the one where the guy claims there's
- 21:52Speaker 3: this I can't remember this fella's name. Is this big
- 21:54Speaker 3: dude to the flat top and he was talking about
- 21:56Speaker 3: He's like, oh, it was a Dulce base and I
- 21:57Speaker 3: saw aliens and they killed people. They had aliens underground
- 22:01Speaker 3: and they were working with all these army officers and
- 22:03Speaker 3: I had to escape and me and these other soldiers,
- 22:05Speaker 3: like you said that he and a couple of other
- 22:07Speaker 3: guys who was working with like went into the space
- 22:09Speaker 3: not knowing what it was as military members, and then
- 22:12Speaker 3: saw alien stuff going on underground.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Right, and then there's a shootout. Yeah. The story is
- 22:17Speaker 2: that we struck a deal with this group of aliens
- 22:22Speaker 2: in the fifties, in the fifties or in the seventies. Now,
- 22:27Speaker 2: they struck the deal in the fifties. In the seventies,
- 22:28Speaker 2: is I believe when they built this base, okay, Yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 2: And it's an underground base that goes like nine levels
- 22:35Speaker 2: down and apparently on the ninth like eighth or ninth level,
- 22:38Speaker 2: whatever the bottom one is is all this crazy alien
- 22:42Speaker 2: experimentation where they're experimenting on humans basically. And the story
- 22:48Speaker 2: is that we found out that they were taking their
- 22:51Speaker 2: experiments beyond what we agreed to in this deal, and
- 22:55Speaker 2: we decided to raid this facility, and like seventy sevens
- 23:00Speaker 2: died in this shootout. And obviously that's not a confirmed story.
- 23:06Speaker 3: No, it sounded a bit theatrical to be true, it
- 23:09Speaker 3: would be a great movie. But I remember there was Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 3: I remember because watching things about the supposed deal that
- 23:15Speaker 3: Eisenhower struck with these aliens, and it would be sort
- 23:18Speaker 3: of an agreement that aliens could abduct humans on a
- 23:23Speaker 3: limited basis and only these certain people or whatever, but
- 23:27Speaker 3: that after that point the aliens had never intended to
- 23:30Speaker 3: keep to that plan and never kept to it and
- 23:32Speaker 3: still kept right abducting more people than they said they would,
- 23:36Speaker 3: or experimenting on the.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Moon, and one started taking kids in the eighties. Yeah.
- 23:39Speaker 3: My thing about the whole stuff with alien experimentation is
- 23:42Speaker 3: I don't know how much sense it makes scientifically that
- 23:46Speaker 3: these things are super advanced beings can fly across galaxies,
- 23:49Speaker 3: bend rules of space and time, but that the basic
- 23:52Speaker 3: human anatomy is so fascinating to them they need to
- 23:55Speaker 3: spend sixty years experimenting on it. It's like, it's not
- 23:59Speaker 3: that complic you know.
- 24:00Speaker 2: The theory you know what I does that seem weird?
- 24:03Speaker 2: It does. But the theory I've always heard in like
- 24:07Speaker 2: for that argument, yeah, is that they don't understand the soul,
- 24:12Speaker 2: and they need to understand how a soul so gross.
- 24:15Speaker 3: That's like fucking like at the end of a God
- 24:18Speaker 3: Friended Me or Christian Mingle the movie or something. Yeah,
- 24:24Speaker 3: that's like how I hate when robots want to learn
- 24:27Speaker 3: to love. It's like my rose hated thing about robot
- 24:29Speaker 3: movies and they're like, I must learn to love, And
- 24:32Speaker 3: I was like, you are better than humans because you
- 24:34Speaker 3: don't love. It makes you better. It's so stupid. It's
- 24:38Speaker 3: like me if I was like, wanted to learn how
- 24:40Speaker 3: to be like a dog, like uncontrollable around trash or
- 24:44Speaker 3: something like, I just want to understand how I can
- 24:46Speaker 3: totally lose some control around trash like a dog. It's like, no,
- 24:49Speaker 3: you're better than a dog.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Why would you want to emulate.
- 24:52Speaker 3: A dog's feelings. It's the stupidest city of our fucking
- 24:55Speaker 3: heard in my life.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah. The uh we were just talking about like the
- 24:59Speaker 2: cat mutilations and things, and that comes up in a
- 25:02Speaker 2: really interesting way here, and in a way that I
- 25:06Speaker 2: kind of buy. They at one point they introduced this
- 25:10Speaker 2: other he's a highway patrolman. What the hell is his name?
- 25:15Speaker 2: He's in the notes, God damn it.
- 25:17Speaker 3: A highway patrolman.
- 25:19Speaker 2: A highwayman. Yeah, he's a highwayman.
- 25:21Speaker 3: He's a highwayman. He's an eighteenth century highwayman. He carries
- 25:25Speaker 3: a pistolier on his garter.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Oh, his name is Gabe Valdez. And he talks about seeing.
- 25:32Speaker 3: His Hispanic descent. Do we trust him?
- 25:36Speaker 2: Great point?
- 25:38Speaker 3: Trump's America.
- 25:40Speaker 2: They He talks about being a highway patrolman in Dulcey,
- 25:44Speaker 2: New Mexico and seeing these lights, and he brings up
- 25:49Speaker 2: one of I think the best points when it comes
- 25:51Speaker 2: to whether these would be aliens or a government thing.
- 25:56Speaker 2: He says they were covered in lights, and he goes,
- 25:59Speaker 2: why would they need lights if they were in space? Like,
- 26:01Speaker 2: you're not going to need light guidance in space. Why
- 26:04Speaker 2: would you true put lights on your ship if you're
- 26:07Speaker 2: building it in space.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the whole notion of that, I never really
- 26:11Speaker 3: think about that, but they was. But what's hilarious too,
- 26:14Speaker 3: is like the way lights are described him. Whenever anyone
- 26:17Speaker 3: talks about aliens, they'd be like, oh, it was like
- 26:19Speaker 3: they were putting.
- 26:20Speaker 2: On a show for me.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Right, I heard that a lot. Yeah, they'll be like
- 26:23Speaker 3: it was like they were putting on a show for me.
- 26:24Speaker 3: They had green and red and blue, and they were
- 26:26Speaker 3: dancing in certain patterns and stuff. And you have to
- 26:29Speaker 3: wonder it's like as a tracking device, that doesn't make
- 26:31Speaker 3: a lot of sense as a communication method, right, that
- 26:34Speaker 3: could make more sense if it was literally sending messages
- 26:37Speaker 3: through patterns of lights, Yeah, to each other. Communications, but
- 26:41Speaker 3: and not really.
- 26:42Speaker 2: But the way he describes this light, he says he
- 26:45Speaker 2: was following one and it just like flew over him,
- 26:48Speaker 2: and it sounds like a drone like. It sounds like
- 26:50Speaker 2: they were seeing like early versions of drones in the
- 26:54Speaker 2: government didn't want us to know about those. Yeah, But
- 26:58Speaker 2: they bring up the cattle mutilation and the way it's
- 27:02Speaker 2: presented in this part of the documentary. There was a
- 27:06Speaker 2: program at one point called pro Project Plowshare, which was
- 27:11Speaker 2: the government and this it's a real thing. We know
- 27:13Speaker 2: this happened. They tried to use underground nuclear detonations to
- 27:19Speaker 2: free natural resources from parts of the earth where we
- 27:23Speaker 2: couldn't get to them.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yes, and you know that. And they were trying that
- 27:26Speaker 3: a lot in Russia as well to get certain things out. Yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 3: they could build the railroads and ship through mountains there.
- 27:34Speaker 2: And the argument that is made here as far as
- 27:38Speaker 2: what is actually being covered up is that and that
- 27:42Speaker 2: these cattle mutilations are just scientists trying to gauge the
- 27:47Speaker 2: impact of all that radiation on living things. Total sense,
- 27:52Speaker 2: And that's why they take the thyroid, the utter, and
- 27:55Speaker 2: the tongue, because they're just trying to gauge radioactivity. And
- 27:59Speaker 2: then they kind of what they imply is that we
- 28:03Speaker 2: also literally have these black helicopters that have a bunch
- 28:07Speaker 2: of lights on them that don't make a bunch of noise,
- 28:09Speaker 2: and their main purpose is to fly around up there
- 28:13Speaker 2: and pretend to be UFOs. So when people find these
- 28:16Speaker 2: mutilated cattles, they'll go, oh shit, another UFO. Like there's
- 28:21Speaker 2: someone who like basically admits to being a pilot and
- 28:24Speaker 2: he's like, we just fly around and pretend to be UFOs.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Which that be all you can be man, right exactly?
- 28:31Speaker 3: Can you imagine got to join the military. I want
- 28:32Speaker 3: to fight for freedom by pretending to be a UFO
- 28:35Speaker 3: to confuse people in New Mexico.
- 28:37Speaker 2: To confuse irradiated New Mexicans. Yeah, but that's the kind
- 28:42Speaker 2: of shit the government gets into. Is like have you
- 28:47Speaker 2: seen Wormwood, Yes, the documentary where for that whole thing
- 28:51Speaker 2: it seems like it's going to be the government covering
- 28:54Speaker 2: up the fact that they basically murdered a guy with LSD.
- 28:58Speaker 2: And then you get to the end and they're like, no,
- 29:00Speaker 2: we admit that, because what it seems like they were
- 29:02Speaker 2: maybe actually hiding was that this guy was gonna blow
- 29:06Speaker 2: the whistle about us using chemical weapons in the Korean War.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, And they're like, we'll take a body over
- 29:13Speaker 2: fucking human rights abuse accusations. Oh yeah, yeah, we don't
- 29:16Speaker 2: want to go to the Geneva Conventions.
- 29:18Speaker 3: After you, after you've seen what happened to the Nazis,
- 29:19Speaker 3: you're like, no, Ranks or I mean Saddam Mussein, I
- 29:23Speaker 3: mean yeah, pay the ultimate price for using that shit. Yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 3: or Mussolini, same thing, use chemical weapons. And it was like, yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 3: after World War One, we pretty much agreed not going
- 29:33Speaker 3: to do that.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, bad times. And like this seems like a similar
- 29:38Speaker 2: kind of thing where they're fine with people believing the
- 29:42Speaker 2: crazier story, which is that UFOs are coming down and
- 29:45Speaker 2: beaming horse or beaming cattle up and taking their utter
- 29:49Speaker 2: and their tongue and they're thyroid and then dropping them
- 29:52Speaker 2: back to Earth. They're fine letting us think that and
- 29:55Speaker 2: have that out there. But it's all like the reality
- 29:59Speaker 2: they're high is worse that they just basically irradiated this
- 30:03Speaker 2: entire portion of the country trying to get oil out
- 30:06Speaker 2: of the ground, and now we don't know maybe if
- 30:09Speaker 2: it's safe to live there, yes, anymore.
- 30:11Speaker 3: The other hilarious thing to think about any alien kind
- 30:13Speaker 3: of conspiracy, too, is wouldn't it be amazing if there
- 30:15Speaker 3: were just maybe men who worked in government who had
- 30:18Speaker 3: a sick fascination with abducting people and torturing them, And
- 30:21Speaker 3: that it's much better to present the idea that people
- 30:25Speaker 3: have psychotic alien theories than maybe some sick fox working
- 30:28Speaker 3: government who like to murder and abduct people.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it could be that. I've always kind of wondered.
- 30:35Speaker 3: What, like, were I had a loose serial killer in
- 30:37Speaker 3: an area or something, and you're like the police are like, oh,
- 30:40Speaker 3: we bungled an investigation, or we don't know what's going
- 30:42Speaker 3: on with it. I want to be better to just
- 30:44Speaker 3: make it smear that that person is an alien crazy person.
- 30:46Speaker 3: And I sometimes wonder if like Fred miss information with
- 30:50Speaker 3: stuff like that.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I sometimes feel like there's some aspect of
- 30:54Speaker 2: the like modern day American serial killer that has to
- 30:58Speaker 2: have started with like a government intelligence program or something
- 31:03Speaker 2: like like. It just I don't know the way it
- 31:06Speaker 2: sprung up, in the way it was studied when it
- 31:09Speaker 2: all started happening. It just everything feels like a government
- 31:12Speaker 2: experiment to me. Now since I've done this podcast.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's been a lot of things that
- 31:18Speaker 3: since you start to look at conspiracy stuff, you definitely
- 31:20Speaker 3: look at a lot of things very very differently, and
- 31:23Speaker 3: you start to like, I can't look at George H. W.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Bush the same way again, can you?
- 31:27Speaker 4: No?
- 31:28Speaker 2: No, Well, he's been at every fucking historical event. He
- 31:32Speaker 2: was there in some shady way.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Do you ever hear the theories that his wife is
- 31:35Speaker 3: the daughter of Alister Curley, that Barbara Bush is the
- 31:37Speaker 3: daughter of Alister Curley.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I don't think I have. Oh my god, that's crazy.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Got to look into it. Basically, her mother was in
- 31:43Speaker 3: England hanging out with people who knew Alister Crowley around
- 31:47Speaker 3: the time that she was conceived, and she looks like him.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Yeah she's yeah, it's creepy as hell. Oh, she kept
- 31:56Speaker 3: defeat us in a jar. She had miscarried and kept
- 31:58Speaker 3: a featus in a jar. Library. George W. Bush is
- 32:02Speaker 3: on in an interview talking about how his mother, when
- 32:05Speaker 3: he was a teenager, showed him this fetus in a jar.
- 32:07Speaker 3: It made him look at it.
- 32:09Speaker 2: My god, Yeah, weird shit like that.
- 32:10Speaker 3: He's like, yeah, she's just a direct person, you know,
- 32:12Speaker 3: she showed me a fetus in a jar. And they
- 32:14Speaker 3: ask her about it, like sixty minutes and they're.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Like, oh, oh about direct is the word for that.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Yes, he takes it as she's very direct. What and
- 32:22Speaker 3: then sixty minutes do they ask her something about and
- 32:24Speaker 3: they poop, poop, you know what they say. But they don't, Oh,
- 32:25Speaker 3: it's not in the library. That's a totally loser. That's oh,
- 32:30Speaker 3: that's a lie. It's not in the library at all.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Those are my favorite kind of denials where they're like, yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 2: it's not in the library, next question, what where is it?
- 32:40Speaker 3: I love denying the least creepy part of a story.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Uh so, yeah, they they talk a lot about cattle mutilation.
- 32:47Speaker 2: That part I think is really interesting. They introduce a
- 32:51Speaker 2: woman named Linda Moulton Howe who, for some reason, just
- 32:55Speaker 2: the degree to which her hat and her earrings in
- 32:57Speaker 2: her top matched made her seem a little incredible time otherworldly. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 2: like I didn't exactly know. She seemed like she had
- 33:07Speaker 2: been driven a little crazy by the government.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Yes, and I mean why wouldn't.
- 33:12Speaker 2: You because they do the same thing to her basically,
- 33:17Speaker 2: which is they they go to her and because she
- 33:21Speaker 2: was doing this HBO documentary called Strange Harvest and Yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 2: and when they found out she was making that, they
- 33:31Speaker 2: basically sent Richard Dody once again to her to be like, hey, well,
- 33:37Speaker 2: I have some other information if you want it, and
- 33:40Speaker 2: you can't write it down, you can't take any notes,
- 33:42Speaker 2: but you can read this. And he slides this thing
- 33:45Speaker 2: across the table that basically implies that the alien issue
- 33:49Speaker 2: has been solved and that we know that they developed
- 33:52Speaker 2: Homo sapiens by manipulating the DNA of already living animals
- 33:57Speaker 2: on Earth. Yes, and it becomes like one of the
- 34:01Speaker 2: most debated fucking documents of all time. And they were
- 34:07Speaker 2: just doing it to fuck with her. Yeah, and there
- 34:09Speaker 2: was some he even says, there's some truth in it,
- 34:11Speaker 2: but you'll never know how much.
- 34:13Speaker 3: It's also it's an incredibly good tactic to give so
- 34:16Speaker 3: much information that you can then just roundly deny that
- 34:19Speaker 3: you ever gave them.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, and they it's pretty tremendous.
- 34:23Speaker 3: That's the thing. That's do you talk about so much about,
- 34:25Speaker 3: you know, the Trump stuff? And they were talking I
- 34:26Speaker 3: remember rein argulled that disturbed me. I've not I've really
- 34:30Speaker 3: created a barrier between myself and information about the Trump administration.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Sure as a way to stay.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Card my own sanity, right, I exposed myself to that
- 34:38Speaker 3: virus of rage because it's just yeah, it's almost like
- 34:41Speaker 3: this where it's like you get a piece of it,
- 34:43Speaker 3: they hook you in with a little bit of it,
- 34:44Speaker 3: and then you'll drive yourself insane thinking about the implications.
- 34:47Speaker 3: But Jared Cush Jared that it's not a law. Jared
- 34:52Speaker 3: was having all these meetings with Chinese people, get people
- 34:55Speaker 3: from the government of China having seen re meetings, having
- 34:58Speaker 3: secret meetings with nobody there so no one could say
- 35:01Speaker 3: what was said, oh that it could not exist on record,
- 35:05Speaker 3: who had agreed to what or what people yet and
- 35:08Speaker 3: it's like god fucking damn it, like all this stuff
- 35:12Speaker 3: about diplomacy, it's like they're not following any rules of
- 35:15Speaker 3: diplomacy whatsoever. And it's really horrible.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yeaheah.
- 35:19Speaker 3: It's just like you don't want to have meetings where
- 35:22Speaker 3: you can't verify what people said in the meeting.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a bad look. It makes people suspicious.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Yes, it creates a lot of he said. She said, right,
- 35:31Speaker 3: I mean almost you almost start to be grateful for
- 35:34Speaker 3: Nixon for recording everything.
- 35:36Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah, you know, and I wonder if he
- 35:39Speaker 2: recorded his meetings in China.
- 35:40Speaker 3: I'm sure that wouldn't have flown, you know what with him,
- 35:44Speaker 3: I would not be surprised if there were if he
- 35:46Speaker 3: was wired, yeah, wired in some way during those.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Ah dick, Yeah, yeah. In retrospect, Richard Nixon. Man, well,
- 35:54Speaker 2: he started the war on drugs though, so that's bad.
- 35:57Speaker 3: No, But him and Johnson them out, they recorded themselves.
- 35:59Speaker 3: They've given some gems to history.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I really go. Oh yeah, the recording of Lyndon Johnson
- 36:04Speaker 2: Order every pants.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Oh my god. He talks about his bunghole.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Yes, oh my god, it's really great. He talks about
- 36:11Speaker 2: all the ball space he needs.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Oh, he needs so much ball space for Jumbo. Yeah,
- 36:16Speaker 3: Penis Jumbo. But no, he's say with this. So it's like, yeah,
- 36:20Speaker 3: it's basically well, I mean it's it's to be understood
- 36:23Speaker 3: whenever you're talking about the government. The government has no
- 36:25Speaker 3: issue with driving anyone insane that they want. They don't
- 36:28Speaker 3: care if anyone goes insane, they don't care, and they
- 36:30Speaker 3: don't deny that they don't care if anyone goes insane
- 36:32Speaker 3: as the result of what they do.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah, our government is pretty oppressive. It's just really good
- 36:38Speaker 2: at it and like good at keeping it a secret,
- 36:41Speaker 2: at least as it pertains to white people. Like, we
- 36:44Speaker 2: all know how oppressive the government is to people of color.
- 36:47Speaker 2: That's fucking obvious. Yes, but white people too. Hashtag us too. Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 2: I don't think that's how that hashtag works. No. Uh
- 36:57Speaker 2: So they introduced Richard Dolan at one point point. He's
- 37:00Speaker 2: a UFO historian who says that the Freedom of Information
- 37:04Speaker 2: Act is a thing that kind of compelled the government
- 37:07Speaker 2: to start really focusing on having a misinformation campaign around UFOs. Yeah,
- 37:15Speaker 2: because UFOs like things were starting to sort of leak
- 37:21Speaker 2: because all of the like, that's the time, like around
- 37:23Speaker 2: the time of the Church Committee, which like ultra a
- 37:27Speaker 2: lot of committees.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Commit during that time, and about what the government was
- 37:30Speaker 3: up to in the extent of the CIA's operations. Yeah,
- 37:33Speaker 3: the Church Committee, and then the eighties, obviously we had
- 37:36Speaker 3: Iran contra, which was yeah, rough and the savings and
- 37:40Speaker 3: loan scandals and a lot of stuff like that. And
- 37:42Speaker 3: then also, I mean there was a lot of the
- 37:43Speaker 3: seventies were strange up for scandals and government, not just Watergate,
- 37:48Speaker 3: but also pages in Washington they are investigating for trafficking
- 37:51Speaker 3: mail prostitutes through certain areas of d c oh. And
- 37:54Speaker 3: then in the eighties there was also people were it
- 37:56Speaker 3: was on like the nightly news. There were people who
- 38:00Speaker 3: were claiming that underage boys were being trafficked into the
- 38:03Speaker 3: hw Bush White House. Geez that underage boys claimed that
- 38:07Speaker 3: they had been taken there by yeah men and government
- 38:10Speaker 3: and stuff like that. So yeah, eighties were a big time.
- 38:13Speaker 2: And then now when boys claim that, we go shut
- 38:16Speaker 2: up your info Wars piece of shit.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, We're like, go back to Alex Jones,
- 38:21Speaker 3: you weren't trafficked anywhere.
- 38:23Speaker 2: My favorite conspiracy along that line, or it's not even
- 38:26Speaker 2: a conspiracy. But there's a girl on Twitter who's very
- 38:29Speaker 2: adamant that she was sex trafficked to a party and
- 38:31Speaker 2: raped by Tom Hanks.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Yes, I've heard this. Yeah, we're not.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Even going to look into it a little bit.
- 38:37Speaker 3: No, No, that's no or Jeffrey. God, who's the name
- 38:43Speaker 3: of that billionaire who's hanging out with Bill Clinton egg
- 38:45Speaker 3: shaped cock who was trafficking underage girls went to jail?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Is it it's cats? Yes, I don't want it's just
- 38:54Speaker 2: some guy named jeff.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Not Jeffrey Katzenberg. That's a different guy, not him. Yeah,
- 39:00Speaker 3: just search Jeffrey Bill Clinton sex traffic. Yeah, so there's
- 39:05Speaker 3: lots of lots of statements like that. And yeah, Also
- 39:08Speaker 3: the eighties is when they exposed a lot of stuff
- 39:12Speaker 3: with spies. A lot of spy stuff got exposed back
- 39:14Speaker 3: then about spy rings and how Jeffrey Epstein yep, Yeah,
- 39:17Speaker 3: he's a registered sex vendor American financier and yeah, he
- 39:21Speaker 3: made a ton of money for the Clintons and he's
- 39:23Speaker 3: applying his private jed all the time. And he was
- 39:25Speaker 3: arrested for getting underage girls to do sex stuff with him.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Sixteen fifteen year old girls hire them, right, And they
- 39:31Speaker 3: identified him because he has an egg shaped cock.
- 39:34Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 39:34Speaker 3: They said this under oath. They were like, I know
- 39:36Speaker 3: it's him. I can tell you exactly what kind of
- 39:38Speaker 3: weird dick he has, kind of like with Michael Jackson thing, Right,
- 39:40Speaker 3: where they were like, yeah, he's got a weird dick,
- 39:42Speaker 3: and they talked about his weird dick.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Yeah. The thing about the.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Don't have a weird dick if you're going to commit
- 39:46Speaker 3: sex crimes. By the way, I remember normal dick.
- 39:49Speaker 2: I remember Trump hanging out with that guy also came
- 39:53Speaker 2: up during the campaign, and there's even a weird clip
- 39:57Speaker 2: where Trump says something about that guy and he's like,
- 40:00Speaker 2: I think we like the same kind of he likes
- 40:02Speaker 2: him a little younger. I do too, fucking hell. And
- 40:05Speaker 2: it's like, in retrospect, holy shit, what a statement. But
- 40:09Speaker 2: a lot of people are like, well, why isn't the
- 40:11Speaker 2: Clinton campaign hitting on the fact that Trump hung out
- 40:14Speaker 2: with this guy so much? And it's like, oh, because
- 40:17Speaker 2: Bill Clinton hung out with this guy and Hillary Clinton, Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Yeah, both of yeah. So and then the spineworks Sayer
- 40:24Speaker 3: was taking me to this on my profiles. You know,
- 40:26Speaker 3: a lot of spy networks were found out, and I
- 40:29Speaker 3: think it was just in general decreasing the public's trust
- 40:32Speaker 3: and our ability to keep secrets right because we had
- 40:36Speaker 3: you know, there was just quotes from the Secretary of
- 40:38Speaker 3: the Navy under Reagan would just say like, yeah, this
- 40:41Speaker 3: guy was a spy. He over a million encrypton messages
- 40:45Speaker 3: like your average spot would be selling a rush over
- 40:47Speaker 3: like thirty years. People had thirty year spy careers working
- 40:49Speaker 3: for the USSR. So it's like you things are good
- 40:52Speaker 3: at keeping things under wraps.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Are you not? Now?
- 40:54Speaker 3: Not? Like like Kmart has better security than the Navy.
- 40:58Speaker 3: That's one of these guys with the thirty years for
- 41:00Speaker 3: the Navy. Its like Kmart's got better security than navies? Like,
- 41:02Speaker 3: how would I do it? Because you people don't know
- 41:04Speaker 3: what the fuck you're doing. You don't know how to
- 41:05Speaker 3: keep anything in secret.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Yeah. I wonder if we've kind of forced that on
- 41:09Speaker 2: the military, like through our protests in our like would
- 41:13Speaker 2: it be better if we just could go back, like
- 41:15Speaker 2: go back in time when we just believe everything the
- 41:17Speaker 2: government says and it's like okay, fine whatever, yeah, like
- 41:21Speaker 2: it it. The things we've found out about the government
- 41:25Speaker 2: are so fucking shocking, like especially things they did in
- 41:29Speaker 2: the sixties and seventies, and for it to have somehow
- 41:32Speaker 2: turned into this climate where if you say anything, like
- 41:37Speaker 2: imply anything weird about the government doing shit in secret, yeah,
- 41:41Speaker 2: it's immediately dismissed as no, like that like you're a
- 41:45Speaker 2: conspiracy theory.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a that's a bridge too far. Yeah, they'll
- 41:48Speaker 3: poison us, they'll send us to wars for no reason,
- 41:51Speaker 3: but they would never about aliens.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Yeah, what you're wild. Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 3: And it's funny to me because I was thinking about
- 41:59Speaker 3: this of why in particular I was thinking about anarchists.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Why in particular did Italy create so many anarchists was
- 42:07Speaker 3: the thought that I had, And then I was looking
- 42:08Speaker 3: at it, and Italy was Zoo's historically been one of
- 42:11Speaker 3: those divided and most corrupt countries right in terms of government,
- 42:15Speaker 3: is so corrupt, And I think corruption has they've done
- 42:17Speaker 3: the effects and corruption the psychological effects that it has,
- 42:21Speaker 3: and I think it actually has a very far reaching effects.
- 42:23Speaker 3: When people do start to believe they're be lying to
- 42:26Speaker 3: they're being ruled by hypocrites, they're being ruled under corrupt system.
- 42:30Speaker 3: It affects people in a way that is not regular,
- 42:32Speaker 3: and it creates very all kinds of strains of avern
- 42:35Speaker 3: behavior that you can't control.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure, a lot of it. Yeah, they
- 42:39Speaker 2: bring up I always forget that the Roswell incident. For decades,
- 42:44Speaker 2: we just forgot like that just it was news the
- 42:47Speaker 2: couple days after it happened. Yeah, and then it took
- 42:51Speaker 2: all of this Freedom of Information Act shit for us
- 42:53Speaker 2: to realize that that might have been a real thing.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Yeah, the nineties when, Yeah, the nineties once hit and
- 43:00Speaker 3: the freedom information I think also Ruby Ridge and Wayco
- 43:06Speaker 3: and stuff, I think also push public opinion against the
- 43:09Speaker 3: government even more so, right, and want to ask even
- 43:11Speaker 3: more questions about what the government was doing and stuff
- 43:14Speaker 3: like that. Events like Tanneman Square and stuff I think
- 43:17Speaker 3: did rile more of a sense of people to take
- 43:19Speaker 3: on the government or take on these assumptions.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Right. Yeah, they bring up William Moore in this. He's
- 43:24Speaker 2: the guy who wrote like the book about the Roswell incident.
- 43:28Speaker 2: And goddamn Richard Dody is involved in this too. So
- 43:32Speaker 2: like all of the really big alien stories that we
- 43:36Speaker 2: know of, Richard Dody is somehow they're feeding information to
- 43:41Speaker 2: be like, do you conspiracy theorists not talk?
- 43:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh who showed up? Oh yeah it was this
- 43:46Speaker 3: guy Richard. And he doesn't like put on a fake
- 43:48Speaker 3: mustache pretend to be somebody else. No, he shows up
- 43:51Speaker 3: the same fucking dude every time.
- 43:53Speaker 2: He shows up and introduces himself as Richard Dodi.
- 43:56Speaker 3: I'm Richard Dody my actual birth name. Here's my secur
- 44:00Speaker 3: any number. Would you like to see pictures of my
- 44:02Speaker 3: wife and kids. I'm a liar, you can talk to anyone.
- 44:05Speaker 2: It's like yeah. And like in the in the case
- 44:08Speaker 2: of the Paul Benowitz case, like they brought up at
- 44:11Speaker 2: one point he was firing off letters to the government yea,
- 44:14Speaker 2: like saying, hey, I have all of this UFO information
- 44:18Speaker 2: that the Air Force is really keen on. Yeah, don't
- 44:20Speaker 2: you want to look into it? And they're like, we
- 44:21Speaker 2: don't give a fuck. And meanwhile the Air Force is
- 44:24Speaker 2: going to him like, hey, we really care about this,
- 44:27Speaker 2: make sure you stay on it. Like ye. It seemed
- 44:30Speaker 2: like it got to a point where they were just
- 44:32Speaker 2: kind of it got it went overboard, I think with
- 44:35Speaker 2: them trying to discredit this guy.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, certain agents have certain certain agencies have different
- 44:41Speaker 3: agendas or what they think is important for that agency.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I think it also really demonstrates how disjointed agencies are
- 44:48Speaker 3: in government. Whenever you to study in the about nine
- 44:50Speaker 3: to eleven or aliens or something, that you realize these
- 44:53Speaker 3: these agencies are not as interconnected as you would have thought.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Right, yeah, especially with nine.
- 44:58Speaker 3: One FBI and CIA. They don't like each other.
- 45:01Speaker 2: No, no, not at all. Yeah, that is always it's
- 45:04Speaker 2: like they're almost competition. Yeah, basically, yeah, and that is
- 45:08Speaker 2: a big part of what caused nine to eleven. Yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 2: they were just like, we have the information, but we're
- 45:12Speaker 2: not gonna share it with you.
- 45:14Speaker 3: We want to crack the case.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Yeah, nobody cracked the case. So one of the things
- 45:20Speaker 2: that comes up is the Holloman Air Force Base incident.
- 45:22Speaker 2: And this is a tactic that they talk about in
- 45:25Speaker 2: this documentary a lot where Richard Dodi or someone tied
- 45:29Speaker 2: to the government in some way, we'll find out that
- 45:31Speaker 2: a movie or a documentary is being made and they'll
- 45:34Speaker 2: promise like vital information. In the case of the Holloman
- 45:38Speaker 2: Air Force Base thing, it was a video that was
- 45:43Speaker 2: alleged to have shown an alien landing on the tarmac,
- 45:47Speaker 2: like exchanging information with someone and then taking off again.
- 45:50Speaker 2: And this guy making this movie swears he saw the video,
- 45:55Speaker 2: and the entire time he's making this movie called UFO's
- 45:59Speaker 2: Past Present Future, the government's like, I believe it was.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Richard Dody again was like, yeah, here's the video, you've
- 46:06Speaker 2: seen it, and now we're gonna let you put it
- 46:09Speaker 2: in this movie. And it gets to the like last
- 46:12Speaker 2: minute and they confiscate the movie and go, no, you can't.
- 46:15Speaker 2: So now he has to just do an animation in
- 46:17Speaker 2: his movie, and everyone who watches it is gonna go
- 46:20Speaker 2: he fucking liar, Like, just show us the video and
- 46:24Speaker 2: it's I just I wonder how many times that has happened,
- 46:29Speaker 2: Like my favorite. I don't even know how full blown
- 46:31Speaker 2: of a conspiracy theory it is. But there's a found
- 46:35Speaker 2: footage movie called UFO Abduction or alien Abduction, and it's
- 46:39Speaker 2: basically the first found footage movie. Oh wow, and it
- 46:43Speaker 2: is shockingly boring.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Oh it's just now I'm thinking of the alien autopsy.
- 46:47Speaker 2: No, this Alien Abduction. I believe it's on YouTube. You
- 46:53Speaker 2: can go watch it. If me and Andy Cell ever get
- 46:57Speaker 2: to putting out episodes of the horror movie pot Cast,
- 47:01Speaker 2: there's a whole episode about it. But this movie, if
- 47:05Speaker 2: you watch it, it's just footage of a girl's birthday
- 47:09Speaker 2: party for the longest time.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and hold on one second. Is it called UFO abduction?
- 47:15Speaker 4: Why can't I find it? Yeah, God damn it. I
- 47:17Speaker 4: can't think of the name of the movie. But it's
- 47:20Speaker 4: it's this found footage movie.
- 47:22Speaker 2: It's just a footage of a girl's birthday party, and
- 47:24Speaker 2: at the end, aliens walk in and the camera goes blank.
- 47:28Speaker 2: And one of the theories around this movie is that
- 47:31Speaker 2: it was not a movie and that it was actually
- 47:35Speaker 2: footage of an alien abduction happening, but when it got leaked,
- 47:39Speaker 2: the government somehow intervened and turned it into hey, this
- 47:44Speaker 2: is just a new way of making films, and it like,
- 47:46Speaker 2: it's the first found footage horror movie for all intents
- 47:49Speaker 2: and purposes.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Aliens crash birthday party Roswell twenty twelve. Is that the
- 47:54Speaker 3: one the McPherson tape. Yes, the McPherson tapes, that's what
- 47:57Speaker 3: it's called.
- 47:58Speaker 2: But it's also it's got like an alternate title, which
- 48:00Speaker 2: is like UFO abduction or something, but.
- 48:02Speaker 3: It's yeah, McPherson tip. I'm gonna look it up, and yeah,
- 48:06Speaker 3: it is funny how it's it's kind of convenient for
- 48:09Speaker 3: Hollywood people that or for the government, rather that Hollywood
- 48:13Speaker 3: just just adopts a lot of these things and puts
- 48:16Speaker 3: them into fiction. Right, And then it's impossible to say
- 48:19Speaker 3: whether you're thinking that because you've watched a movie.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and that comes up in the documentary too, where
- 48:24Speaker 2: they'll they'll just say, you've seen too many movies.
- 48:26Speaker 3: Exactly how many people said thought that they were possessed
- 48:28Speaker 3: after The Exorcist came out.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, there was a lot. There's a found footage
- 48:33Speaker 2: movie called ghost Watch. Are you familiar with this? Oh?
- 48:36Speaker 2: It happened in It was borderline cruel what they did.
- 48:40Speaker 2: It was a BBC thing on Halloween. They did basically,
- 48:44Speaker 2: they were pretending to be at this house that the
- 48:47Speaker 2: occupants claimed was haunted, and instead of hiring actors, they
- 48:51Speaker 2: just hired all the usual BBC on air talent, so
- 48:55Speaker 2: it would be like seeing fucking Ryan Seacrest hosting from
- 48:58Speaker 2: a haunted house and then everyone dies, like everyone gets murdered,
- 49:03Speaker 2: and people thought it was real because they didn't really
- 49:07Speaker 2: go out of their way to make it seem like
- 49:09Speaker 2: it wasn't real, and it fucking traumatized people. They refused
- 49:13Speaker 2: to show it for like two years after that.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I remember there was definitely a BBC thing that
- 49:18Speaker 3: they released. It was about hauntings and that it cost
- 49:21Speaker 3: a lot of widespread panic with people because they couldn't
- 49:23Speaker 3: tell it.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Ghost Watch, ghost watch. Okay, best ghost name in horror
- 49:28Speaker 2: movie history. The ghost name is mister Pipes.
- 49:31Speaker 3: See, I have such a harder time with ghosts.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Really, Yes, Oh, I'm all for it.
- 49:37Speaker 3: I just give me a fucking break. The afterlife is
- 49:40Speaker 3: you hang around and shuffle objects around in a room?
- 49:43Speaker 3: What the fuck is that?
- 49:44Speaker 2: That'd be dope? No, I want to do that.
- 49:47Speaker 3: No, ridiculous.
- 49:48Speaker 2: I hope this is still a studio fifty to one
- 49:51Speaker 2: hundred years from now when I finally die, maybe one
- 49:54Speaker 2: hundred and fifty years from now, and I want to
- 49:57Speaker 2: come back in and fucking bat some shit around. Yeah.
- 50:00Speaker 3: When you look at this, it just says alien Abduction
- 50:02Speaker 3: official trailer, Alien Abduction trailer.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, it's again. Yeah, there's a
- 50:09Speaker 2: there is a at least a rumor surrounding that movie
- 50:12Speaker 2: that it was actual footage of aliens in the government
- 50:15Speaker 2: just hyped it up as a movie to throw us
- 50:18Speaker 2: off the trail. It's possible, I guess. So the rest
- 50:22Speaker 2: of this documentary, I don't want to spoil the whole
- 50:24Speaker 2: thing for everyone. Yeah, it ends talking about Majestic twelve
- 50:28Speaker 2: and Project Sirpo, which are two of the name. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 50:33Speaker 2: they're both great. Project Surpo is this theory that for
- 50:38Speaker 2: like seven years, we sent alien or we sent astronauts
- 50:41Speaker 2: to this planet called Sirpo in like this exchange program
- 50:46Speaker 2: with aliens that live there. And Majestic twelve is the
- 50:50Speaker 2: code name for this alleged secret committee of scientists and
- 50:54Speaker 2: military leaders and government officials that were formed by an
- 50:57Speaker 2: executive order by Harry Truman and I Team forty seven,
- 51:01Speaker 2: And the rest of the documentary is mostly I feel
- 51:04Speaker 2: like they were trying to show how effective these efforts
- 51:08Speaker 2: to discredit UFO hunters have become, because the rest of
- 51:15Speaker 2: this documentary is alien experts either saying these documents are
- 51:21Speaker 2: definitely real or experts say no, this is all bullshit,
- 51:24Speaker 2: And like the entire end of the documentary is just
- 51:27Speaker 2: a lot of that, where people are going back and
- 51:29Speaker 2: forth about the validity of the documents that proved these
- 51:33Speaker 2: things happened, and then Richard Dodio pop in every once
- 51:36Speaker 2: in a while and go, eh, I don't know some
- 51:38Speaker 2: of it's true.
- 51:39Speaker 3: I know, it's so maddening. It's one of those things
- 51:42Speaker 3: is really hard because even like Bo Dallas is one
- 51:46Speaker 3: of my favorite wrestlers, he's great, His brother's Bray Wyatt.
- 51:50Speaker 3: I have you've heard about that? So he's a wrestler
- 51:51Speaker 3: and he was on Chris Jaco's podcast and he was
- 51:53Speaker 3: talking about his whole thing with believing a lot of
- 51:56Speaker 3: being really interested in conspiracies, and he was talking about this,
- 51:59Speaker 3: saying that they found an alien on the moon. Mona, Lisa,
- 52:02Speaker 3: have you seen this piece of shit? That thing looks
- 52:05Speaker 3: like right, And you're like, oh, dude, he still wants
- 52:09Speaker 3: to believe and it's just like you can tell it's rubber.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Yeah, we've never been to the moon.
- 52:16Speaker 3: It's it's very hard because it's you don't want to
- 52:19Speaker 3: make your enemy the person who believes that the person
- 52:22Speaker 3: in the rubber suit is real, Like, they're not your
- 52:24Speaker 3: enemy at the end of the day. It's it's really
- 52:26Speaker 3: easy to attack that person if you I'm saying for
- 52:28Speaker 3: people who believe in a certain level of conspiracy, there
- 52:31Speaker 3: is a very much a tendency to attack other people
- 52:34Speaker 3: who believe in conspiracies. They don't believe the same ones
- 52:36Speaker 3: you do, or don't can't see the very obvious facts,
- 52:39Speaker 3: and it's like it's it's the most mentally challenging thing
- 52:42Speaker 3: to not focus on that and get so negative about it.
- 52:45Speaker 2: But yeah, and that so I think people should go
- 52:49Speaker 2: watch this. I like that. I like this documentary a lot,
- 52:51Speaker 2: and it if nothing else, it's it's really interesting insight
- 52:56Speaker 2: into how our government actually operates when it comes to
- 53:00Speaker 2: it like.
- 53:00Speaker 3: This, yeah, or how would I mean when you look
- 53:03Speaker 3: back on these things and you kind of get an
- 53:05Speaker 3: idea of different kinds of it's really a window into
- 53:08Speaker 3: the temperament of government in different decades, right, or the
- 53:11Speaker 3: temperament of different agencies, or you can got to get
- 53:14Speaker 3: a feel for what it is like to be in
- 53:16Speaker 3: this even if you don't believe all of these events,
- 53:19Speaker 3: it's like it gives you an idea of military government,
- 53:22Speaker 3: all that stuff, how yeah really would operate if something
- 53:25Speaker 3: bad were happening. Just recently, I was watching the thing
- 53:27Speaker 3: about you know, they say there's all these hidden sights
- 53:30Speaker 3: on Antarctica, right. Antarctica is the big focus of a
- 53:33Speaker 3: lot of you know, conspiracies, things about ancient aliens. And
- 53:36Speaker 3: one of the things they were talking about is people
- 53:38Speaker 3: who were taken out of the area who they said
- 53:42Speaker 3: were very sick and there was like a Russian emergency
- 53:45Speaker 3: to remove them from area before a certain time. And
- 53:47Speaker 3: they're talking about areas of a lake that they could
- 53:50Speaker 3: have gotten access to that are about thirteen thousand years old,
- 53:52Speaker 3: haven't been exposed to air and stuff, and it's like
- 53:55Speaker 3: they could have exposed them to some sort of virus
- 53:57Speaker 3: or six oh, and they're trying to cover it up
- 54:00Speaker 3: or an alien thing. But it's like, yeah, this is
- 54:03Speaker 3: not a good if if the government had unknowingly exposed
- 54:06Speaker 3: people to a thirteen thousand year old virus, this is
- 54:10Speaker 3: how they would handle it. They would oh, yeah, sure,
- 54:12Speaker 3: people would think it was aliens, but yeah, it could
- 54:14Speaker 3: very well just be ovis.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's it's another situation where if people thought
- 54:19Speaker 2: it was aliens, the government would be like, good, yeah, you.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Keep thinking it's aliens and not just we're poisoning.
- 54:24Speaker 2: You think it's aliens. But at the same time, I
- 54:26Speaker 2: do think aliens are a thing. I don't uh yeah, yeah,
- 54:30Speaker 2: I don't. It feels like there's I don't know, there's
- 54:33Speaker 2: a little bit of truth in a lot of like
- 54:37Speaker 2: that's kind of the thesis of this documentary is that
- 54:39Speaker 2: there's even when they're trying to discredit people, it's because
- 54:43Speaker 2: the people they're trying to discredit have uncovered some degree
- 54:46Speaker 2: of truth in what the government's doing. Yeah.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Well, in terms of believing disbelieving, aliens anything like that
- 54:53Speaker 3: are alien conspiracies. When you look at it this way,
- 54:56Speaker 3: all life on Earth comes from somewhere else, right, So
- 55:00Speaker 3: say that life doesn't come from other places, it's like, oh,
- 55:03Speaker 3: I guess it does. We know it does. Yeah, that's
- 55:05Speaker 3: how life got to this planet. It didn't just spring
- 55:07Speaker 3: out of nothing. It came from somewhere.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yeah. And with aliens, it's always like an argument that like,
- 55:14Speaker 2: I don't know, I feel like there's a thing where
- 55:16Speaker 2: you can't really believe in God and believe in aliens,
- 55:18Speaker 2: but like God could be an alien like that, we
- 55:21Speaker 2: don't know what our god actually is. It's the same
- 55:25Speaker 2: as the simulation theory where people are like, there's no God,
- 55:28Speaker 2: we're living in a simulation. Well, the motherfucker run in
- 55:30Speaker 2: that simulation is your God. Yeah, Like it's.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Kind of realign what it means to believe in a god.
- 55:35Speaker 3: Do you mean a creator? Do you mean someone who's
- 55:37Speaker 3: controlling everything? Do you mean like an initial force of life?
- 55:41Speaker 3: Do you mean that there's a spark that exists in
- 55:44Speaker 3: all beings that is all connected?
- 55:46Speaker 2: Right?
- 55:47Speaker 3: I don't know. Yeah, and there's all these things of
- 55:49Speaker 3: like our our minds just sort of our brains are
- 55:53Speaker 3: receptors that were getting sent signals to experience consciousness.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Yeah, there's free electricity in the air.
- 56:00Speaker 3: Yeah, there's weirder theories than.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Yeah than that. So that's our episode. We don't want
- 56:07Speaker 2: to give away the entire documentary, but it's streaming. If
- 56:10Speaker 2: you have Amazon Prime, you can watch it for free,
- 56:12Speaker 2: or you can rent it on iTunes and all the
- 56:15Speaker 2: other places. I assume it might even be on Netflix.
- 56:17Speaker 2: I'm not sure it's I don't.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Think it's on Netflix. It's on YouTube, which is funny
- 56:21Speaker 3: because I didn't realize that YouTube gave you a cheaper
- 56:23Speaker 3: standard definition option to watch things and if you've rent
- 56:26Speaker 3: them on YouTube, oh really HD for another dollar.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Yeah, Amazon does that too. I always get standard just
- 56:32Speaker 2: because it weighs my internet connection down. Less, yeah, smaller file. Yeah,
- 56:38Speaker 2: thats a good tangent we went on right there.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Nice talking about definitions.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good talking about pixels. So this, I
- 56:44Speaker 2: believe is a free episode. So uh, Patreon dot com
- 56:49Speaker 2: slash on pops you can sign up. You get two
- 56:52Speaker 2: bonus episodes of this every month, and bonus episodes of
- 56:54Speaker 2: all the other podcasts I host. It's a damn good deal,
