Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Reality TV Cringe. I am one
- 0:14Speaker 1: of your hosts, Delia here with my real tired homegirl
- 0:18Speaker 1: and my daughter in law Beatrice. Hi. We are here
- 0:22Speaker 1: to talk Sister Wives, Season nineteen, episode ten. I want
- 0:28Speaker 1: to just tell everybody, start straight up. I cried a
- 0:31Speaker 1: little bit, you did. I cried a couple times.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Robin Brown, no crying, oh, Robin, actual real tears.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I didn't cry for Robin Brown. I did cry for
- 0:42Speaker 1: Mary Brown.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, I know I was.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And I cried for elsebro Isabelle was sad too. It
- 0:47Speaker 1: was very sad. There were some moments that I think
- 0:51Speaker 1: we need to get into now. Before we do, we
- 0:54Speaker 1: just want to remind you to please haw'd your wife
- 0:57Speaker 1: and hide your kids. This is a politically in correct podcast.
- 1:01Speaker 1: We don't censor ourselves. We say a lot of bad words.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Of course, we have stupid opinions that we're proud of them.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So, if you're a subsitile, why are you here? You
- 1:14Speaker 1: might want to find yourself another dumpster. But if you're
- 1:17Speaker 1: ready to talk about how ridiculous Cody Brown looked with
- 1:21Speaker 1: his Shirley Temple hair in his house talking to Mary,
- 1:24Speaker 1: so pad welcome to this dumpster, and if you like
- 1:28Speaker 1: what we.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Do, like to talk shit with us, be sure to
- 1:31Speaker 2: follow us on Instagram at reality tv Crunch and join

- 1:42Speaker 1: the way, so come and join us now. If you
- 1:45Speaker 1: were watching on YouTube, please do not forget to like
- 1:48Speaker 1: and comment and share and subscribe. And if you want
- 1:52Speaker 1: to comment, like a little raccoon icon or emoji, what's
- 1:55Speaker 1: it called? Is it an emoji? Just drop a little
- 1:58Speaker 1: raccoon emoji or a hard even that helps us, helps
- 2:02Speaker 1: us a lot, that helps us to get fatter, and
- 2:05Speaker 1: the fatter the better big So if you do all
- 2:08Speaker 1: of that, we would appreciate it and thank you in advance.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Thank you. Now, I do want to tell you that
- 2:13Speaker 1: later in this week we are releasing a second episode
- 2:17Speaker 1: because we had nine of y'all, nine rabbid raccoons in
- 2:22Speaker 1: the dumpster who had some shit to say. Yeah, and
- 2:26Speaker 1: so we're going to release that as a separate episode
- 2:28Speaker 1: maybe a day from now or two days and whatever.
- 2:31Speaker 1: We'll get to it, but make sure you do look
- 2:33Speaker 1: for it when you see it. Listen, yeah or watch. Thanks.
- 2:39Speaker 1: All right, let's just get right into this episode. All right, Well,
- 2:42Speaker 1: what was your major takeaway?
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm so sick of Christine and David.
- 2:46Speaker 1: That's that's your takeaway every week.
- 2:48Speaker 2: No, but like I'm extra sick of it, Like I
- 2:50Speaker 2: just you know, it sucks because I want to be
- 2:52Speaker 2: happy for her, and I want to be happy for
- 2:54Speaker 2: any of the wives when they find their new man
- 2:56Speaker 2: or a woman, Like that's so great. I'm really glad
- 3:00Speaker 2: Christine's happy. I really am. I just know I am.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'm just like tired of hearing her talk about it
- 3:05Speaker 2: all the time. I'm tired of hearing her talk about
- 3:08Speaker 2: how fast they're moving and how she doesn't care about
- 3:10Speaker 2: her kids's feelings. I'm tired of hearing about how in
- 3:13Speaker 2: love she is with David after two whole months.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Like, just beater, there's power in surrender. What do you mean,
- 3:22Speaker 1: like just facing that which is and here we are
- 3:25Speaker 1: in the dumpster and every fucking week is what it is.
- 3:31Speaker 2: And so instead of like raging, my major takeaway was, I.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Know, I'm just like I want you to be happy.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I want you to enjoy the consents.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I am.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I just I'm just like, I just want to tell
- 3:43Speaker 1: everybody they're going to do this all. I know season
- 3:46Speaker 1: every fucking episode we've seen Mickelty and Tony.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Why see, and you're bitching about that you should surrender.
- 3:53Speaker 1: No, but I did. I felt my spirit leave my body.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I was just like, let go into your hands. I
- 4:00Speaker 1: I met my spirit father. This is just who they
- 4:03Speaker 1: are and this is what production is doing. And I'm
- 4:05Speaker 1: just gonna try. I know. Yeah, I'm just gonna try
- 4:07Speaker 1: and be okay with it. And I just want just
- 4:09Speaker 1: would encourage you.
- 4:10Speaker 2: No, I do too, and I want God, I know
- 4:13Speaker 2: I do, But you ask me what my major takeaway was.
- 4:15Speaker 2: That's my major takeaway. God, I don't care about.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I don't care, Okay, Well, I just I just I
- 4:24Speaker 1: worry for you because I'm fine, not gonna stop. I
- 4:26Speaker 1: know we're gonnaue. We've probably more content episodes to go.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Oh for sure, we're gonna see the whole ramp up.
- 4:34Speaker 1: We're gonna see more mouth kissing huh. We're gonna see
- 4:36Speaker 1: more grinding up against each other, more physical assaults by truly,
- 4:41Speaker 1: We're gonna see it all, and I just want you
- 4:43Speaker 1: to be I just want you to be.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Okay, No, I'm aware, and I'm sure the tell Alls
- 4:45Speaker 2: are gonna be filmed with them too. They're gonna ask
- 4:47Speaker 2: them questions about their relationship. Like I'm sure it's gonna
- 4:50Speaker 2: be all about Christina and David. Yeah, that's what the
- 4:53Speaker 2: whole season has been about. I'm just tired of it.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I'm tired of it as well. Okay, so my takeaway is, hmm,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I hate Mary. I vascillate after you. I go back
- 5:05Speaker 1: and forth because sometimes.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I'm like, yes, bitch, say it, yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Tell me more, spill the tea, and then other times
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm like, I hate you so much because you don't.
- 5:19Speaker 1: In this episode right here, yeah, this episode ten, we
- 5:24Speaker 1: get her talking about lists. Yep, Cody gave her a list,
- 5:28Speaker 1: a thing she had to do in order to earn
- 5:31Speaker 1: his love, essentially, or get him to a place where
- 5:34Speaker 1: he'd be even remotely willing to be romantic with her. Again,
- 5:38Speaker 1: that sounds so fucking interesting, Like what kind of a
- 5:41Speaker 1: list would a narc give you, a malignant narcissist who
- 5:45Speaker 1: is making you earn your place in his life, Like,
- 5:48Speaker 1: what kind of list would that be? I bet there
- 5:50Speaker 1: was some money on that list?
- 5:51Speaker 2: Probably.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I bet there's some sort of an emotional blackmail. I
- 5:54Speaker 1: bet she was barred from saying certain things. Yeah, I
- 5:58Speaker 1: bet that was required to back him up with Christine
- 6:03Speaker 1: and Janelle. I bet it was all kinds of juicy
- 6:06Speaker 1: things on that list. But nonetheless, she doesn't tell us
- 6:11Speaker 1: what's on that.
- 6:12Speaker 2: List, Yeah, because why would she. It's Mary fucking Brown.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Because she's always talking, And we're going to talk about
- 6:19Speaker 1: this in the next episode. We're actually gonna go over
- 6:21Speaker 1: a video that Mary released on Instagram in which she's
- 6:24Speaker 1: talking about telling her story. But it's just a fucking
- 6:27Speaker 1: bait and switch dangling carrot. It's like, why Mary, Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 1: because when she's on the couch in the pink top,
- 6:35Speaker 1: she seems a little bit pissed off.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 1: She seems a bit more direct in her criticism of
- 6:40Speaker 1: Robin not texting her back. Ye, why should I tell
- 6:43Speaker 1: them anything? I don't owe them anything. Like, she seems
- 6:46Speaker 1: like she's got some fire in her. But then in
- 6:48Speaker 1: the various scenes that she's in, she's weak, dicked, and lame. Yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 1: And my major takeaways I'm upset.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Well, sid she hasn't worthied up yet in these scenes,
- 7:03Speaker 2: she hasn't worthied up, that's why she's so.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Weaked it well, but like she's putting on the air
- 7:09Speaker 1: of it though. When she's talking to her gay friend
- 7:12Speaker 1: and Jim, she's putting on the air of like being
- 7:14Speaker 1: so happy and I'm laughing, and we're painting this wall
- 7:18Speaker 1: with the smallest roller known to man. Whatever, we'll get there.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But I'm like, she's pretending she's happy, she's free, she's
- 7:26Speaker 1: got it all together, but she's not. Yeah, if you were,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and if you were sitting in the full truth and
- 7:33Speaker 1: reality of what has been done to you and these
- 7:36Speaker 1: children and your other co wives, like you would be
- 7:39Speaker 1: so mad and you would be telling us what happened,
- 7:41Speaker 1: oh for sure. But she's still not doing it. I
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't think she's ever gonna do it. No, And I
- 7:46Speaker 1: don't know why she wouldn't. I don't know why Janelle wouldn't.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I don't know either, Honestly.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It confounds and confuses me.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I don't know how you can live a life like
- 7:55Speaker 2: that where you're not acknowledging the full extent of your
- 7:58Speaker 2: feelings and you're just like ignoring it or just like
- 8:00Speaker 2: letting it go, like Janelle being like I'm at peace now,
- 8:03Speaker 2: how'd you get there?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Right, Mary?
- 8:05Speaker 2: Being like I've worsied up now and I've got a
- 8:07Speaker 2: whole business. How'd you get there?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Like?
- 8:09Speaker 2: Can you talk about the full experience that you've had
- 8:12Speaker 2: and like being angry and being sad and being like
- 8:15Speaker 2: heartbroken over this marriage, Like talk about it more, please,
- 8:18Speaker 2: instead of just laughing about it with your gay best
- 8:21Speaker 2: friend and acting like you're not.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Dead inside right for it, Like I mean real crushed, yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and heartbroken like in the moment you still are, but
- 8:28Speaker 1: like you're not being honest about that either, Like we
- 8:31Speaker 1: even have with Christine. We have Janelle commenting on how
- 8:35Speaker 1: Christine was one of the most religious adults in this
- 8:39Speaker 1: entire family, and we've talked about how she was the
- 8:41Speaker 1: biggest cheerleader for aub for Mormonism, for polygamy and all
- 8:45Speaker 1: of that. And now all of a sudden, she's getting
- 8:48Speaker 1: that tattoo, she's drinking that booze, she's fucking this man
- 8:51Speaker 1: outside of marriage. She's exposing her children to her choices
- 8:55Speaker 1: as well, Like, and that's interesting, and it happened very quickly.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Why right? Not talking about that.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Either, No, not at all, not even acknowledging it. Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 2: Like Christine doesn't even acknowledge it, just like, yeah, I've
- 9:07Speaker 2: changed and I'm in love and I'm happy and I'm
- 9:09Speaker 2: getting dicked down, Like that's it. Yeah, like not talking
- 9:12Speaker 2: about how you love polygamy and how you're over this
- 9:14Speaker 2: whole religion and everything. It's like wild.
- 9:16Speaker 1: The reason they do it, though, is because they can. Yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 1: and they get away with it. Yeah, and production and
- 9:21Speaker 1: TLC doesn't require anything more of them, And that is
- 9:24Speaker 1: why ratings are trending down exactly. And even our views
- 9:29Speaker 1: and some of our listens are a little bit lower.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And I don't think it's because of us, No, how
- 9:34Speaker 1: could it ever be. No, I just think people aren't watching.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and you see it online too. You see
- 9:38Speaker 1: it on Instagram, you see it on reddit. People like
- 9:40Speaker 1: I stopped watching this, like they're over it. All I
- 9:42Speaker 1: do is come here to the subreddit or I'll watch
- 9:44Speaker 1: some reactions and some content creators, but I will not
- 9:48Speaker 1: give them a view yet because they don't do right
- 9:50Speaker 1: by their audience.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Well, and they haven't ever. I mean, it's been eighteen
- 9:54Speaker 2: seasons of this shit, like even in the earlier seasons,
- 9:57Speaker 2: like you can see where it started, like disintegrating, like
- 10:01Speaker 2: you can see where all of the marriages started breaking,
- 10:04Speaker 2: but they don't actually talk about it, like they go
- 10:06Speaker 2: to therapy, but then they never really follow up on it,
- 10:09Speaker 2: like they don't talk about the real issue, which is
- 10:11Speaker 2: Robin and Cody, like it's all fake. It's always been
- 10:15Speaker 2: like this because they don't want to actually get to
- 10:18Speaker 2: the real nitty gritty of it all.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Even in this episode, we have Christine talking about how
- 10:23Speaker 1: her experience with David is so much different than her
- 10:26Speaker 1: time with Cody, because with Cody he would come over
- 10:29Speaker 1: once every three or four days, he would stay for
- 10:32Speaker 1: one night, and then he would leave. Even that isn't true, right,
- 10:36Speaker 1: because even in Vegas he was spending way more time
- 10:40Speaker 1: with Robin. Exactly, even in Vegas and certainly in flag
- 10:44Speaker 1: Staff and flag Staff he wasn't seeing Janelle's kids for
- 10:47Speaker 1: months on end. So even in this episode, she's like,
- 10:50Speaker 1: every three or four nights. No, that's not true, and
- 10:53Speaker 1: that's one of the main reasons that you left him
- 10:55Speaker 1: in the first place. Exactly why aren't we addressing it?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Because why they don't want to?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Well, I mean, I think if they want to keep
- 11:03Speaker 1: their ratings up, I know that this is the second
- 11:05Speaker 1: most popular series on TLC. But it's because of the
- 11:10Speaker 1: things that are imploding right now before our eyes. But
- 11:12Speaker 1: if you're going to continue to cover it up and
- 11:15Speaker 1: cape for Cody Brown and allow him and Robin to
- 11:18Speaker 1: get away with this, yep, then people are just going
- 11:20Speaker 1: to they're they're not going to want to watch it.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It is enraging. I mean, it gets your blood pressure up, yep.
- 11:27Speaker 1: And so I can see why people are walking away.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Oh for sure. And even if they do spin offs
- 11:31Speaker 2: like with the og Wives, if the og Wives are
- 11:33Speaker 2: still doing this bullshit, I'm not gonna watch. Yeah, I
- 11:35Speaker 2: mean I really, I don't care. That's great, you're happy.
- 11:37Speaker 2: It's great that you're living your life and you got
- 11:39Speaker 2: your flower pharma. It's awesome. I don't care, though, Like,
- 11:42Speaker 2: unless you're going to talk more about like the family
- 11:45Speaker 2: and Cody and the finances. That's what's interesting, right. But
- 11:49Speaker 2: we say this.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Every week, we do, and we'll stop. I'm sorry. Well,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I mean nobody's listening. We're all here, but like nobody
- 11:56Speaker 1: in production nobody. Although and again I say all of
- 11:59Speaker 1: like all all of the content creators that I follow,
- 12:01Speaker 1: every single one of them is calling it out like
- 12:03Speaker 1: we're sick of it. We're just so fucking sick of it. Yeah,
- 12:06Speaker 1: so that's my major take. Okay, all right, all right,
- 12:10Speaker 1: let's get into this episode. So we are a season nineteen,
- 12:13Speaker 1: episode ten, and the title of this episode.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Was A Man after my Own Heart, okay, referring to David,
- 12:20Speaker 2: I would imagine, yes, it's not Cody, no, okay. And
- 12:23Speaker 2: we start with Christine and sexy Grandpa David, who are
- 12:26Speaker 2: babysitting Tony and mckelty's kids because they want to go
- 12:30Speaker 2: have a date night, I guess. And so Christine and
- 12:33Speaker 2: David are coming over to babysit.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Why why do we have to see Tony and McKelty
- 12:38Speaker 1: in every episode?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Because they want to get their bag. They want to
- 12:41Speaker 2: get paid.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I don't think they're paid. I mean maybe they've renegotiated.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Maybe now in twenty twenty four they're getting paid, but
- 12:47Speaker 1: I know previously they were not paid. I just can't
- 12:50Speaker 1: stress enough that I want them off my television that
- 12:54Speaker 1: I if I never see Tony and his dumb hair
- 12:57Speaker 1: again in my life, it will be too same and
- 13:00Speaker 1: McKelty just as much m hm. But here we are
- 13:03Speaker 1: at their town home again, which apparently is clean yep,
- 13:06Speaker 1: which is an anomallest thing because David called it out
- 13:10Speaker 1: and Christine was like, oh my god, I can't believe
- 13:12Speaker 1: you said that. Why would you say that on Cabra, which.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I'm also like, I mean, they've got three kids and
- 13:17Speaker 2: she just had twins and stuff like, so chill like
- 13:19Speaker 2: if it was dirty a little bit, like, it's probably
- 13:22Speaker 2: not that big.
- 13:23Speaker 1: But I like loved that David said it because he's
- 13:26Speaker 1: not trained yet in the art of television. He will be,
- 13:30Speaker 1: so he will be, but he's but right now he's not,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and so he's speaking his mind and I think it's great.
- 13:36Speaker 1: And I'm just imagining Tony and McKelty being total fucking
- 13:40Speaker 1: horder slobs. As soon as he said that, I started
- 13:42Speaker 1: looking around at all the shit stacked in different places,
- 13:45Speaker 1: and God's just.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Judge, you hate them, You hate them so much like that.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I mean, I thought their house was like clean and nice,
- 13:53Speaker 2: but yeah, it was probably because it was on camera.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I mean, granted, look, if I was gonna have my
- 13:57Speaker 2: house on camera, like it would be fucking immaculate. I
- 14:01Speaker 2: would have like maide service coming over and I would
- 14:03Speaker 2: be making sure because it ain't nobody seeing my mess
- 14:05Speaker 2: on TV, right, even though I'm not a messy person,
- 14:08Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Like Robin Brown, like every time.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Oh God, they talk about shoved into corners and into
- 14:13Speaker 1: cabinets for sure.
- 14:14Speaker 2: That's why we only get to see one room because
- 14:17Speaker 2: everywhere else is just full of crap. But yeah, that
- 14:20Speaker 2: was kind of a funny comment. And then they go
- 14:22Speaker 2: and leave for their date and they're wearing backpacks and
- 14:24Speaker 2: I'm like, where are you going?
- 14:26Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe a picnic or something.
- 14:28Speaker 2: In the hotel rooms so they can get their freak on.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And then we see David and Christine just essentially being
- 14:37Speaker 1: grandparents to these very adorable kids. And I was telling
- 14:41Speaker 1: you earlier that I actually liked this scene because we
- 14:44Speaker 1: get to see them in their actual element. It doesn't
- 14:48Speaker 1: feel like an overly produced proposal on a mountain or
- 14:52Speaker 1: let's go look at wedding venues or houses. I mean,
- 14:55Speaker 1: it is produced and it was planned ahead of time,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but we got to spend a little bit of time
- 14:59Speaker 1: with them just talking to each other, yeah, being normal
- 15:02Speaker 1: people and kind of picking up on what their rapport
- 15:05Speaker 1: is organically, and they seem to actually really enjoy each
- 15:09Speaker 1: other's company. They seem happy together. Yeah, and that's nice.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great. It's all I've got for that though,
- 15:16Speaker 2: And they talk about buying a house. They bought the house.
- 15:18Speaker 2: It's like fifteen minutes away from Mikelty and Tony, but
- 15:20Speaker 2: then they end up moving.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Right mckelty's like, peace out. Too much drama going in
- 15:25Speaker 1: North Carolina.
- 15:26Speaker 2: But it's also near David's kids, one of them, one
- 15:30Speaker 2: of the eight kids or whatever. So they're near a
- 15:32Speaker 2: bunch of family, which is great. Their house is beautiful,
- 15:35Speaker 2: like whatever.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm over it, but like, where are we in
- 15:40Speaker 1: the timeline right now? Are we like at three We're
- 15:42Speaker 1: at five months? I think? So they're already they're like
- 15:48Speaker 1: doing a walkthrough. So they've already put in the loan paperwork.
- 15:50Speaker 1: They've been pre qualified and then totally qualified for the loan,
- 15:53Speaker 1: when that can take quite some time. You got to
- 15:55Speaker 1: furnish all your paperwork and everything. They got Jake your credit. Yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: so they've already been through the entire process, selected the home,
- 16:01Speaker 1: made an offer, got an appraisal, they're doing a final walkthrough,
- 16:05Speaker 1: like they are moving so quickly obviously.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And we got a DM on Instagram from fellow raccoon Amanda,
- 16:13Speaker 2: and she said, according to Christine's ig, Gwen's engagement party
- 16:17Speaker 2: was in February of twenty twenty three, and then her
- 16:20Speaker 2: and David. Christine and David got married in April of
- 16:22Speaker 2: twenty twenty three.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Married. Yeah, so they're getting married in October.
- 16:28Speaker 2: That's what got engaged. Sorry, okay, I read the thing wrong.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And David got engaged in April of twenty twenty three,
- 16:33Speaker 2: So that's how quickly everything is moving. So they got
- 16:36Speaker 2: engaged in April, probably got the house two months later,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and then got married.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I think the engagement comes after the house at least
- 16:44Speaker 1: in this episode something. I mean, they're doing it all
- 16:46Speaker 1: at once, like, yeah, did their venue before they even
- 16:48Speaker 1: did the proposal, so they're just smushing it all together
- 16:51Speaker 1: because they're just speed running to the wedding.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So that's how boom boom boom is super fucking fast.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Which is how you're gonna have some trumatized kids, which
- 17:02Speaker 1: we'll get to when we get to it. But I
- 17:03Speaker 1: have some things to say about truly, and have some
- 17:05Speaker 1: things to say about Isabelle, So remind me to say them,
- 17:07Speaker 1: because I might forget.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I will, I will remind you. And then we move
- 17:10Speaker 2: on to Mary, Jen and gay bff Blair. Yeah, they're
- 17:14Speaker 2: painting the haunted BMB or the carriage house or something.
- 17:17Speaker 1: The attic looks like an attic room, the attic the
- 17:20Speaker 1: B and B. No, yeah, of the B and B.
- 17:23Speaker 1: The attic of the B and B. And it looks
- 17:25Speaker 1: like they're going to repurpose it, maybe into another bedroom,
- 17:29Speaker 1: maybe an offering for the B and B or something,
- 17:31Speaker 1: or maybe she's going to make a closet up there.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Weird.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I don't know. What I did notice though, and what
- 17:36Speaker 1: I did enjoy was the fact that Blair and Jen
- 17:40Speaker 1: seem to genuinely like Mary. Oh yeah, and they genuinely
- 17:44Speaker 1: like to be around Mary. It doesn't feel like they're
- 17:46Speaker 1: opportunistic like Nate right and Rebecca and some of these
- 17:50Speaker 1: other weirdos. They seem like they really love Mary and
- 17:53Speaker 1: they're there to support her right now. And I love
- 17:55Speaker 1: to see that for Mary. Yep, and this scene we
- 17:59Speaker 1: get that talking head of her on the couch, and
- 18:04Speaker 1: this is what made me cry a little bit, and
- 18:06Speaker 1: she was talking about how nobody checked for her, like
- 18:11Speaker 1: it would be great if someday I could meet someone
- 18:13Speaker 1: who would like check with me when I flew in
- 18:15Speaker 1: somewhere or even god forbid, like picked me up from
- 18:19Speaker 1: the airport, like I have nobody who cares about where
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm going, when I get there, how I'm doing, and
- 18:26Speaker 1: I was. It really struck me in that moment how
- 18:30Speaker 1: isolated she's been. And of course we've known that, but
- 18:33Speaker 1: it really made me wonder about Leon. I know, so
- 18:36Speaker 1: because we've been asking how's Mary's relationship with Leon? Does
- 18:40Speaker 1: Leon keep in touch with Mary? And I'm sure Mary's
- 18:44Speaker 1: not telling Leon every time she goes to Disneyland or whatever,
- 18:48Speaker 1: But I mean, if they were close, you would think
- 18:50Speaker 1: that Leon would be the primary person who was checking
- 18:54Speaker 1: in on her.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Right, And I'm like, why don't you call your mom
- 18:57Speaker 2: every so often? It just seems like she's gotten nobody,
- 19:00Speaker 2: Like Mary has no one like besides like Blair and Jem,
- 19:04Speaker 2: But I mean they're friends, right, Like, so friends don't
- 19:07Speaker 2: normally be like, oh, like, did you make it to
- 19:09Speaker 2: the airport safe? Like it's not always a thing you
- 19:11Speaker 2: think about. Everybody's got their own lives. But I felt
- 19:13Speaker 2: really bad for Mary. She talks about how she's been
- 19:16Speaker 2: single for like the better part of a decade, like
- 19:19Speaker 2: she's lived a single life, she's been alone. I felt
- 19:22Speaker 2: really sad, and like this is proof that she has
- 19:25Speaker 2: like no self worth, Like we've talked about it obviously,
- 19:28Speaker 2: like when she's been with Cody and she's been pleading
- 19:31Speaker 2: for Cody to work on things with her, like that
- 19:33Speaker 2: just shows how she had no self worth. Hence the
- 19:36Speaker 2: whole worthy up thing, like she's trying to capitalize off
- 19:39Speaker 2: of her healing journey, but like she's definitely not fully healed.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I mean, it's gonna take a while, so I just
- 19:46Speaker 2: I don't know. That was really sad.
- 19:48Speaker 1: It was really sad for me as well. And you know,
- 19:51Speaker 1: it just makes you wonder like why did you stay?
- 19:54Speaker 1: And yes, I guess for you, you needed him to
- 19:57Speaker 1: say it to you directly, like it's never ever, ever
- 20:00Speaker 1: going to work out, and that is what gave you
- 20:02Speaker 1: the permission to seek your release and to ultimately finally leave.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But like, why did it even take that? I mean,
- 20:06Speaker 1: he was sending these signals the entire time. He was
- 20:09Speaker 1: trashing you in a very toxic, poisonous way on camera
- 20:15Speaker 1: in front of millions of viewers in previous seasons, Like
- 20:18Speaker 1: why did it take this much for you to be
- 20:21Speaker 1: pushed out. You really didn't even walk away, like you
- 20:24Speaker 1: actually had no choice.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean she does kind of talk about that though,
- 20:28Speaker 2: like she talks about their first anniversary and flag Staff,
- 20:31Speaker 2: the whole cheers to new Beginnings thing. She says that
- 20:34Speaker 2: there was a lot of things Cody did and said
- 20:37Speaker 2: to her that were really confusing to her. And she
- 20:39Speaker 2: also mentioned something kind of weird where Cody would come
- 20:43Speaker 2: to her and vent to her about things, and she
- 20:46Speaker 2: thought that that was his way of like opening himself
- 20:49Speaker 2: up to her, and so she thought there was some
- 20:51Speaker 2: kind of camaraderie there, like maybe this is like a spark,
- 20:54Speaker 2: maybe we'll start getting closer again. So like I can
- 20:57Speaker 2: see a world where she was manipulated into thinking that
- 21:00Speaker 2: like maybe there would be a chance, like Cody was
- 21:03Speaker 2: probably dangling to care it for her a lot, and
- 21:06Speaker 2: she thought that if she did all these things, is
- 21:09Speaker 2: she completed this list that he gave her, that things
- 21:12Speaker 2: would be great. But no, she completes everything on this
- 21:15Speaker 2: list that he gave her, and once she does, he's like, nah,
- 21:19Speaker 2: I'm done. Actually I've been done for two years now.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah. That's why we need to know what was on
- 21:24Speaker 1: the list, because if money was on the list, if
- 21:27Speaker 1: like paying off Coyote Pass was on the list, like
- 21:29Speaker 1: what's on the list and why, like speak to your
- 21:35Speaker 1: psychology and like what's going on in your heart that
- 21:38Speaker 1: you would accept those terms if somebody said, well, if
- 21:41Speaker 1: you want to be with me, you've got to do A,
- 21:43Speaker 1: B and C otherwise there's no chance for you. Like
- 21:45Speaker 1: if anybody had ever said that to me, I just
- 21:48Speaker 1: don't see how I would. I would I would immediately,
- 21:50Speaker 1: I would laugh and I'd walk away. That would never
- 21:53Speaker 1: ever ever be acceptable to me. Now that doesn't mean
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm better than anybody else. It's just not in my psychology,
- 21:58Speaker 1: in my framework. So I don't I don't. I don't
- 22:01Speaker 1: understand it other than she is habituated to the isolation.
- 22:06Speaker 1: She is habituated to the rejection. It has been going
- 22:09Speaker 1: on for so many years that it's just become the
- 22:12Speaker 1: way that it is. And it's like the frog and
- 22:15Speaker 1: the boiling water or the lobster in the pot, like
- 22:18Speaker 1: you turn on the heat slowly and it doesn't even
- 22:21Speaker 1: notice that it's boiling and it's dying. And so maybe
- 22:24Speaker 1: it's some of that, but this and that's why it
- 22:27Speaker 1: chafes me so much that she's doing worthy up. Yeah, exactly,
- 22:30Speaker 1: do anything else but worthy up, because you're not You're
- 22:33Speaker 1: not farther, You're not far enough away from all of
- 22:36Speaker 1: this imploding to teach somebody else how to avoid that
- 22:40Speaker 1: in their own journey, right, Like, in fact, I would
- 22:42Speaker 1: dare say, you're still in it. I think you'd go
- 22:45Speaker 1: back to Cody if he wanted.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You back, one hundred percent.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I think your Crushtian heart broken. I think you have
- 22:51Speaker 1: problems of insecurity and self worth.
- 22:54Speaker 2: One hundred percent. And like, look who doesn't, right Like,
- 22:57Speaker 2: who doesn't struggle with their self worth? Who doesn't struggle
- 22:59Speaker 2: within security? Like we all have those issues, but like
- 23:02Speaker 2: that's the difference between like you where you're Like, if
- 23:04Speaker 2: somebody gave me this list, I would never fucking do it.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I'd be like, peace out. You have more self worth
- 23:09Speaker 2: than Mary Brown does. Because Mary Brown was like, Okay,
- 23:13Speaker 2: I guess I'll do this. Maybe you'll love me.
- 23:15Speaker 1: She seems so strong in other ways. She's and the
- 23:17Speaker 1: kids talk about like such. She was a hard person.
- 23:20Speaker 1: She was a powerful person. She mean shit, I mean
- 23:23Speaker 1: I just she's in so many other areas of her life.
- 23:28Speaker 1: She is a boss bitch, but like in this one
- 23:31Speaker 1: area with this one man, she she couldn't be because she.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Just wants love and she wants Cody's love. Even in
- 23:38Speaker 2: this episode and next week she's talking about how like
- 23:41Speaker 2: it didn't have to be this way, Cody, Like it
- 23:43Speaker 2: could have been different, really, it could have been. It's
- 23:47Speaker 2: been ten years of this Mary Cody. In this segment
- 23:50Speaker 2: when she's talking to her friends, like in his talking head,
- 23:53Speaker 2: he's like, yeah, for the last like eight years, I
- 23:55Speaker 2: don't even think we've shared a bed. We would go
- 23:57Speaker 2: take trips together and we'd sleep separately. And honestly, if
- 24:01Speaker 2: you're doing that ship into a mirror, I mean that
- 24:03Speaker 2: shit's done well.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Full disclosure. I sleep separately from my husband when we
- 24:07Speaker 1: travel together. Become a different bed, yeah, I get. We
- 24:10Speaker 1: get two queens. First of all, he's six ' four, Okay,
- 24:14Speaker 1: he's a he's a ton of fun. Yeah, and he
- 24:17Speaker 1: has a restless leg. Well yeah, and he snores, honey,
- 24:20Speaker 1: But he don't sleep separately here. No, I mean we
- 24:22Speaker 1: have a big fucking bed. Yeah, we've had to reinforce
- 24:25Speaker 1: it because of restless leg. Because he's fucking fighting. He's
- 24:30Speaker 1: fighting dragons and it's it's a lot, and I'm just
- 24:34Speaker 1: much more comfortable, like in my own bed. So I
- 24:37Speaker 1: don't know that that in and of itself is indicative
- 24:39Speaker 1: of a bad relationship. But when Cody's talking about it,
- 24:44Speaker 1: like I we haven't shared a marital bed for eight years,
- 24:47Speaker 1: even when we travel, we don't like he's speaking to
- 24:49Speaker 1: like this has been broken down. This whole relationship has
- 24:52Speaker 1: been over for a long.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Time, That's what I mean. Yeah, And like in my experience,
- 24:56Speaker 2: I've seen that with like my parents, my grandparents and stuff,
- 24:58Speaker 2: and like it always was a precursor to the marriage
- 25:03Speaker 2: is bad, right, Like them sleeping separately was like that's
- 25:06Speaker 2: the end, that's the end of everything. And so like
- 25:08Speaker 2: I mean, I'm sure it can work.
- 25:10Speaker 1: It sounds great. Certain situation sure sounds really good.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah, And like I know couples that are like, oh
- 25:14Speaker 2: my god, my husband's snores, so we have to have
- 25:16Speaker 2: several rooms. But we love each other very much. But
- 25:18Speaker 2: it's different like in this kind of a context where
- 25:21Speaker 2: Cody's like, yeah, like there was no fertile bed for
- 25:24Speaker 2: love to grow, like and I believe that, but also
- 25:27Speaker 2: that's partly because of Cody, Like there was love on
- 25:30Speaker 2: Mary's side. Mary was wanting to do everything. Mary was
- 25:33Speaker 2: loyal to the very fucking end, lack of dog and
- 25:35Speaker 2: she still is, arguably because she's not trashing you, she's
- 25:39Speaker 2: not airing your dirty laundry. She didn't even want the
- 25:42Speaker 2: whole story about you melting down her wedding ring to
- 25:45Speaker 2: come out. She was pissed at Christine for even talking
- 25:48Speaker 2: about that. So Mary has got Cody's back, Cody doesn't
- 25:52Speaker 2: have Mary's back, and so it's just really fucking sad. Yeah,
- 25:55Speaker 2: to see her just say shit like, well, it could
- 25:58Speaker 2: have been different, and I love and like I would
- 26:00Speaker 2: still want to make it worse.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It's like you're ingratiating yourself, You're groveling, I mean, and
- 26:05Speaker 1: that is even more unattractive to someone else exactly you
- 26:09Speaker 1: might want to be with. Like, it's not a respectable
- 26:12Speaker 1: way to be. And I really don't want to seem
- 26:14Speaker 1: like I'm standing in judgment of her. It's just my
- 26:17Speaker 1: personality type. I mean, I have left marriages for way less,
- 26:21Speaker 1: I have walked away from good and for way less
- 26:24Speaker 1: because it just didn't fucking align with what I wanted
- 26:27Speaker 1: to experience in my life. So for me, that's just
- 26:29Speaker 1: my personality type. And I can understand how I mean,
- 26:33Speaker 1: especially if she loved him like how she was, but
- 26:35Speaker 1: I mean it was too long, Mary for it was
- 26:38Speaker 1: too long, and so this is a sad story, and
- 26:41Speaker 1: I mean, I just wish somebody else had her back.
- 26:44Speaker 1: And like we've had seasons upon seasons of Robin pretending
- 26:49Speaker 1: to have Mary's back, and Mary actually kind of calls
- 26:53Speaker 1: this out in a later scene, which I love. But
- 26:56Speaker 1: we've been knowing that though about Robin, that she's just
- 26:59Speaker 1: pretending to be Mary's friend. She's really using Mary first
- 27:02Speaker 1: and foremost. She used Mary for power, and now she's
- 27:04Speaker 1: just using her so that she's not a complete bitch
- 27:07Speaker 1: on national television.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yep. It's really weird to me because Mary has this
- 27:11Speaker 2: whole worthy of bullshit, but then is not talking about
- 27:14Speaker 2: like how she had no self worth and stayed with
- 27:18Speaker 2: a man and stayed in a family where she's basically unwanted,
- 27:21Speaker 2: Like none of the kids want to talk to you,
- 27:23Speaker 2: besides maybe Robin's kids. But even then we'll get to
- 27:26Speaker 2: that segment when she talks about it, like nobody cares
- 27:30Speaker 2: about you in this family, and yet you're still there.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Why you're the only one that had a little bit
- 27:35Speaker 2: of hope. I guess for the family to stay together,
- 27:38Speaker 2: or for you and Cody to stay together. But it's
- 27:40Speaker 2: just I don't know. It's just sad.
- 27:43Speaker 1: If there's anybody out there that's actually a part of
- 27:45Speaker 1: her worthy of community, I think it is housed on Facebook,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and I'm not sure, like what kind of program this entails.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I think she does live streaming, and I don't know
- 27:54Speaker 1: what she talks about. I know it's kind of behind
- 27:56Speaker 1: a paywall, but like, if anybody out there just wants
- 27:58Speaker 1: to give us the tead about what she's talking about,
- 28:02Speaker 1: Like does she have a blueprint for how we can
- 28:05Speaker 1: worthy up? Is it based on something that she's learned
- 28:09Speaker 1: externally and or an inner process? Like what's going on
- 28:12Speaker 1: over there? I want to know more about this worthy
- 28:14Speaker 1: it because I don't trust her. I don't trust her
- 28:16Speaker 1: as a teacher. I don't trust her as a facilitator.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I don't trust her as a motivator given what I
- 28:22Speaker 1: am seeing on this show. I just don't trust her
- 28:24Speaker 1: in general because of the way she puts content out
- 28:28Speaker 1: on social media, like that video that we talked about
- 28:31Speaker 1: in our speak Pipe episode where she's like Yeah, you
- 28:34Speaker 1: guys need to join my community to hear my story.
- 28:36Speaker 1: It's like, I don't you're not telling your story to
- 28:39Speaker 1: these people. I don't think you're telling them anything.
- 28:42Speaker 2: No, because I feel like there would be a raccoon
- 28:44Speaker 2: out there who's a part of this community that would
- 28:46Speaker 2: totally air out all of your story to everybody else
- 28:50Speaker 2: we would already know about it. I feel like she
- 28:52Speaker 2: just talks about Instagram, you know, therapy graphics, like you're worthy, Like,
- 28:58Speaker 2: don't ever let a man tell you that you're not.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Like just like stuff very generic, surface level shit, because
- 29:03Speaker 2: that's Mary.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah. And there was some news in the last year
- 29:06Speaker 1: that she had aligned herself with this owner of a
- 29:09Speaker 1: new MLM that was primary focus was like motivational speaking
- 29:14Speaker 1: and counseling, life coaching kind of bullshit. So she had
- 29:18Speaker 1: aligned herself with this person, and so Worthy up might
- 29:21Speaker 1: be a permutation or an approximation of the same thing.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I don't know if she's doing it with in conjunction
- 29:27Speaker 1: with this woman, but it does feel to me a
- 29:29Speaker 1: little bit mlmy or based on a blueprint of an mltime.
- 29:33Speaker 1: So it feels like a scam. Yeah, it feels like
- 29:35Speaker 1: your whole process is fake. It feels like you're actually
- 29:38Speaker 1: a really broken person. And it's in these moments when
- 29:41Speaker 1: you're on the couch and you're talking about how nobody
- 29:43Speaker 1: calls to check to see if you made it to
- 29:45Speaker 1: Disneyland that I feel you as a human being and
- 29:48Speaker 1: that resonates with me. I can see myself in you
- 29:51Speaker 1: in those moments. But they are too few and too
- 29:54Speaker 1: far between, agreed, unfortunately.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And like the whole premise of worthy up could be
- 30:00Speaker 2: an actual, like great sure thing, and like she could
- 30:03Speaker 2: actually help people if she helped herself. Yeah, like if
- 30:06Speaker 2: she was actually like more healed and like more put
- 30:09Speaker 2: together and like had some wisdom to give to people.
- 30:11Speaker 2: But like what do you have?
- 30:13Speaker 1: You can't take anybody else to a place you've never
- 30:16Speaker 1: been exactly. I mean you all could have a map
- 30:18Speaker 1: and try to get there together, exactly. Like you can't
- 30:21Speaker 1: be my tour guide if you've never been to the
- 30:23Speaker 1: destination yourself, Mary Brown. And that's what we are not
- 30:26Speaker 1: seeing from you.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Such assistinct way to put it. Thank you, it's so smart.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Oh my god. And the next section we have in
- 30:33Speaker 2: this episode was Christina and David moving into their house together. Yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 2: and we have poor Isabelle kind of talking to her
- 30:41Speaker 2: mom about how this is like a bit weird, this
- 30:44Speaker 2: is all too fast. I'm a little uncomfortable by it,
- 30:48Speaker 2: but like, I hope you're happy. She's like trying to
- 30:50Speaker 2: be very positive. When they're doing the house stour, She's like, Wow,
- 30:53Speaker 2: this is beautiful and oh my gosh, this is so great.
- 30:56Speaker 2: And then we get into like the conversation. So we
- 30:58Speaker 2: had one conversation about how it was fast, too fast,
- 31:02Speaker 2: and Christine just bulldozed over that, and then we had
- 31:06Speaker 2: another conversation about Isabelle's relationship with Cody and David's presence
- 31:11Speaker 2: in her life.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yes, So, in my opinion, I feel like Christine actually
- 31:18Speaker 1: did a good job with Isabelle in that second scenario
- 31:23Speaker 1: when they were down in the kitchen area and Isabelle
- 31:27Speaker 1: was sharing about David taking Cody's place and how that
- 31:32Speaker 1: made her feel. I think that Christine parented that in
- 31:37Speaker 1: a good way. Like I think she did well when
- 31:39Speaker 1: she said, like, that's not David's intention. He's just someone
- 31:43Speaker 1: else who loves you. He's not here to take Cody's place.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I think that is what Isabelle needed to hear. Although
- 31:50Speaker 1: I don't think that's what she was actually trying to
- 31:52Speaker 1: communicate in that moment, But let's go to the other
- 31:54Speaker 1: place first, because that happened afterwards. So when they're up
- 31:57Speaker 1: in the closet, yep, and Isabelle tries to float her
- 32:01Speaker 1: concern about it moving too fast, she kind of sand
- 32:05Speaker 1: which is it pretty intelligently, like she has a compliment
- 32:08Speaker 1: like this is such a cool place, and then here's
- 32:10Speaker 1: my concern, and then are you okay? You happy? Mom?
- 32:13Speaker 1: But she's trying to communicate, she's trying to help her mom,
- 32:17Speaker 1: who might be doing a stupid thing. And yes, Isabelle
- 32:20Speaker 1: is young, but she sees what's happening, and she knows
- 32:23Speaker 1: her mom, and so she's like, is this gonna be okay?
- 32:26Speaker 1: Are you gonna be okay with it moving this fast?
- 32:29Speaker 1: And so as a parent, I would have said, let
- 32:33Speaker 1: me assure my child, let her feel secure in this
- 32:36Speaker 1: moment that I'm making the right decisions, but furthermore, that
- 32:38Speaker 1: she's a part of it. We're doing this together, this
- 32:41Speaker 1: includes her. Everybody's safe. But it was weird to me
- 32:45Speaker 1: how Christine pivots away from what she probably should have
- 32:48Speaker 1: said and goes right to, yeah, I'm really nervous because
- 32:51Speaker 1: I've never lived with a man full time before, and
- 32:54Speaker 1: she makes it about herself and it's not that what
- 32:56Speaker 1: she was saying wasn't valid. That's really interesting. She's nervous
- 33:00Speaker 1: because she's only ever been with Cody and he was
- 33:03Speaker 1: barely even a part time partner. Sure, but like that
- 33:06Speaker 1: wasn't the time or the place necessarily to talk about that.
- 33:11Speaker 1: You could have maybe talked about it a few minutes
- 33:12Speaker 1: later after you took care of Isabelle in that moment,
- 33:16Speaker 1: But she doesn't have that instinct as a mom. Now
- 33:19Speaker 1: it's becoming more and more apparent.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Yep, And it's really gross. Like, I really don't like
- 33:23Speaker 2: this behavior in Christine. It makes me not like her
- 33:27Speaker 2: and not like watching her in David's story, which sucks
- 33:30Speaker 2: because again, like I want to be happy for Christine
- 33:33Speaker 2: and David. I am happy for them. I'm glad that
- 33:35Speaker 2: she found love and that's great. She does deserve that
- 33:38Speaker 2: after being with Cody motherfucking Brown for thirty years. Word
- 33:40Speaker 2: like totally, but the way she handled this was so gross,
- 33:44Speaker 2: and then in her talking head again saying, yeah, I
- 33:47Speaker 2: know Isabelle's having a really hard time with this, but
- 33:50Speaker 2: like everybody's just gonna have to catch up. She's just
- 33:52Speaker 2: gonna have to catch up to where me and David
- 33:54Speaker 2: are at because we're not gonna slow down for anybody.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Like That's exactly what she says. And that's weird.
- 33:59Speaker 1: It is weird, And it's one thing to feel that way.
- 34:03Speaker 1: It's quite another to say that out loud, uh huh
- 34:06Speaker 1: to your kids, yep, and then an even further step
- 34:10Speaker 1: to say it in front of millions of people, Yeah,
- 34:12Speaker 1: who are going to think you're crazy out here, but
- 34:14Speaker 1: also that your kids are going to know you said
- 34:16Speaker 1: that to all these other people that you don't fucking
- 34:18Speaker 1: care about their opinions.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Yep.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And that's what's weird about it. And she's just so
- 34:23Speaker 1: blinded by her love and her romance, she's so fully
- 34:28Speaker 1: all in with David, that she's just not seeing what
- 34:32Speaker 1: she's doing wrong. I mean, I hope she has the capacity,
- 34:35Speaker 1: as a fifty year old mother to kind of come
- 34:37Speaker 1: out of the fog at some point and say, oh shit,
- 34:39Speaker 1: I probably should have handled that differently. I feel that
- 34:42Speaker 1: way with my husband, what I've been with for thirteen years,
- 34:45Speaker 1: my third husband, like and I mean, I moved very
- 34:48Speaker 1: quickly yeah, like I can look back at that time
- 34:50Speaker 1: and said, say, damn, I probably should have done that
- 34:52Speaker 1: differently and take ownership of that. And so maybe Christine
- 34:57Speaker 1: will get there at some point. But like, ooh ooof
- 35:00Speaker 1: the way you're handling it right now, Like Isabella is
- 35:03Speaker 1: being so generous with you. I know, she's being so
- 35:06Speaker 1: gracious and kind to you. She's taking care of you.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Exactly how often have your kids been put in the
- 35:13Speaker 1: position to take care of you, Christine? That's the question.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Oh, they've done it a lot, I'm sure, and I'm
- 35:17Speaker 2: sure like when Cody has said in the past about
- 35:20Speaker 2: how the wives have talked shit about him to the kids, like,
- 35:22Speaker 2: I'm sure on Christine's part that's probably true. She probably
- 35:26Speaker 2: vented to the kids a lot more than we think,
- 35:28Speaker 2: oh about her issues with Cody and how she felt
- 35:31Speaker 2: unloved and blah blah blah blah and putting that burden
- 35:34Speaker 2: on the kids. And so that's why Isabelle in this
- 35:37Speaker 2: moment at twenty years old, is being like, well, are
- 35:39Speaker 2: you sure like you're gonna be okay? Like are you happy? Mom?
- 35:42Speaker 2: Because she's caring more about her mom's feelings than her own.
- 35:45Speaker 2: In this moment, And I felt that as a kid
- 35:47Speaker 2: of divorce, as a kid who had a mom who
- 35:50Speaker 2: moved really fast with my stepdad and you know, it
- 35:52Speaker 2: didn't really consider our feelings in the matter, and we
- 35:55Speaker 2: were a lot younger. And like I've said this before
- 35:59Speaker 2: on the pod, like, Isabelle's in a weird place because
- 36:01Speaker 2: she does want her mom to be happy. And that's
- 36:04Speaker 2: a perfectly valid thing for like a kid to feel.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Like you look at your parents when their marriages break apart,
- 36:09Speaker 2: and you're like, man, all I want is for you
- 36:11Speaker 2: guys to be happy again. Like I don't want you
- 36:13Speaker 2: to be sad. I don't want you to be alone
- 36:15Speaker 2: forever either. I want you to find somebody. But also,
- 36:18Speaker 2: this feels weird. Isabelle's totally fair and totally valid in
- 36:22Speaker 2: her feelings right now to be like this is really fast,
- 36:25Speaker 2: and it's really weird to see you with a new guy,
- 36:28Speaker 2: let alone, to see you move in with him after
- 36:30Speaker 2: two months of dating and then get married right away
- 36:33Speaker 2: and engaged all the shit, Like this is way too fast.
- 36:36Speaker 2: But Christine doesn't care because she's happy and in love. Yeah,
- 36:39Speaker 2: and again, that's great. I'm glad that she's happy and
- 36:41Speaker 2: in love, but like geesus, it doesn't have to be
- 36:43Speaker 2: at the expense of your kid's feelings.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it does not, but unfortunately it seems like it is.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I mean because Aspen every time we see her, she's
- 36:53Speaker 1: just looking very chagrined. You know, Gwen is irreverent, but
- 36:57Speaker 1: like she didn't go to the wedding, and there's a
- 36:58Speaker 1: reason that she didn't go. Oh yep. Truly is biting
- 37:01Speaker 1: David in this episode and like physically confronting him in
- 37:06Speaker 1: different ways, and that's a form of communication and expression.
- 37:09Speaker 1: We'll get there when we get there, But I was
- 37:11Speaker 1: just like, I wanted to hug Isabelle so much, And
- 37:15Speaker 1: it was in the second scene when they go down
- 37:18Speaker 1: to the kitchen and Isabelle is talking. Isabelle is framing
- 37:22Speaker 1: it in a childish way to me by saying, you know,
- 37:24Speaker 1: David's not trying to take my dad's place, right, which
- 37:30Speaker 1: is also valid. And she's entitled, even though she's twenty
- 37:33Speaker 1: or whatever, she's entitled to be a child in this moment.
- 37:36Speaker 1: She will always be Cody's child. But I think what
- 37:38Speaker 1: she really wants to say is how come dad can't
- 37:42Speaker 1: love me the way David loves his own kids. Yeh,
- 37:45Speaker 1: she gets there in her talking head, in her interstitial
- 37:48Speaker 1: and oh my god, when I tell you, Jesus wept
- 37:51Speaker 1: when she's talking about the relationship David seems to have
- 37:56Speaker 1: with his own children and grandchildren and how present David
- 37:59Speaker 1: is and how much he loves his kids, and she's
- 38:02Speaker 1: just wondering what that would have been like if she
- 38:05Speaker 1: had had that with her own father. She doesn't come
- 38:07Speaker 1: out and call him a deadbeat, she does not disparage
- 38:10Speaker 1: him at all. In fact, all she's doing is longing
- 38:14Speaker 1: for her father. Yea. Just desiring on such a soul
- 38:18Speaker 1: deep level that kind of connection with her dad. And
- 38:22Speaker 1: I think a lot of people can relate to that.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I think a lot of people see themselves in Isabelle
- 38:28Speaker 1: in this moment. And here I think that Christine parented
- 38:34Speaker 1: that as best as she could. I think she did
- 38:37Speaker 1: a pretty good job in saying, like, look, he's not
- 38:41Speaker 1: replacing your dad, just another person who loves you. And
- 38:45Speaker 1: if you need a father figure, if you need someone
- 38:48Speaker 1: to step up for you, like he can do that
- 38:51Speaker 1: for you, but that doesn't mean he's your dad. And
- 38:54Speaker 1: Christine also says, I don't know if she says it
- 38:56Speaker 1: to Isabelle or to us in a talking head. She's like,
- 38:58Speaker 1: I want my kids to have a good relationship with
- 39:01Speaker 1: their father.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And I asked myself when I watched that, like, do
- 39:06Speaker 1: I believe that? Though? Do I believe that? I don't know,
- 39:11Speaker 1: because I'm becoming persuaded to the idea that she's probably
- 39:16Speaker 1: spent quite a few years being friends with these kids
- 39:20Speaker 1: and not a parent to these kids, and sharing way
- 39:23Speaker 1: more information with them. Of course, they could see with
- 39:25Speaker 1: their own eyes. Kids perceived on such a deeper level
- 39:28Speaker 1: than we give them credit for. But I mean, there's
- 39:31Speaker 1: a reason Cody's saying that she turned their kids against him.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I
- 39:38Speaker 1: can see Christine constantly communicating, constantly talking and sharing inappropriate
- 39:42Speaker 1: things with her children, which is why in this moment,
- 39:45Speaker 1: Isabelle's almost nervous and worried to be vulnerable in front
- 39:48Speaker 1: of her mother, because she's usually in the position to
- 39:51Speaker 1: take care of her yep.
- 39:52Speaker 2: And I don't think she is aware of the fact
- 39:54Speaker 2: that she may have turned her kids against Cody, or
- 39:57Speaker 2: that she has had a part to play in their
- 40:01Speaker 2: lack of relationship. Like I'm not saying she's completely to
- 40:03Speaker 2: blame for it, Like it's all on Cody too, Like
- 40:06Speaker 2: Cody needs to be a parent and he needs to
- 40:08Speaker 2: grow the fuck up from his bitterness towards the wives,
- 40:10Speaker 2: Like he doesn't need to take that out on the
- 40:12Speaker 2: kids themselves. But I think Christine's probably unaware of that.
- 40:17Speaker 2: And I think like anytime the kids have probably like
- 40:20Speaker 2: talked shit about Cody to their mom, like has any
- 40:23Speaker 2: kid would do, like I have a problem with dad, Mom,
- 40:25Speaker 2: I need to talk about it with somebody, She's like
- 40:28Speaker 2: probably sided with them as opposed to also advocating for
- 40:32Speaker 2: Cody and advocating for like their relationship with their dad.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Like there's a difference between like talking shit with your
- 40:38Speaker 2: kid about the parent and then that's it, and like
- 40:42Speaker 2: also like being there to listen to them and vent
- 40:45Speaker 2: to them, but also being like, hey, like maybe you
- 40:48Speaker 2: could try and work out work out, work it out
- 40:50Speaker 2: with your dad, or like your dad does love you.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not confident that she does that exciting part.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I can see her do a lot of commiseratingateral commiseration
- 41:01Speaker 1: with her kids, like yeah, he does fucking suck. And
- 41:03Speaker 1: then not have that second part unless it's if her
- 41:07Speaker 1: kids are suffering, or unless like she feels like she
- 41:09Speaker 1: needs to because people are watching or something exactly. Personally,
- 41:12Speaker 1: I'm not confident she does that. I don't.
- 41:14Speaker 2: I hope that she does, though, Yeah, but I don't
- 41:16Speaker 2: think she judging by this, and I just don't think
- 41:19Speaker 2: she does. And then the other thing that came out
- 41:21Speaker 2: of this segment was Janelle in her talking head talking
- 41:24Speaker 2: about how much Christine has changed and how drastically she
- 41:28Speaker 2: has changed, Yes, because she used to be the most
- 41:30Speaker 2: religious out of everybody. She even tells a story about Garrison,
- 41:35Speaker 2: which I thought was really interesting. So the story goes
- 41:38Speaker 2: that when he was younger, he said the F word,
- 41:40Speaker 2: he said fuck, and Christine got so mad she basically
- 41:44Speaker 2: put him in jail. In his room, he wasn't allowed
- 41:46Speaker 2: to talk to any of the other kids. The kids
- 41:48Speaker 2: were like sending notes underneath the door and sending him
- 41:51Speaker 2: food underneath the door, like he was in prison because
- 41:54Speaker 2: Christine was so distraught that he had said fuck. But
- 41:57Speaker 2: now she's here with her tattoo on her titty, She's
- 42:00Speaker 2: fucking and fornicating with David, sexy Grandpa. She gets married
- 42:05Speaker 2: right away, and she's like abandoned the religion essentially because
- 42:09Speaker 2: she just doesn't give.
- 42:09Speaker 1: A shit, doesn't actually believe. She does not have faith anymore.
- 42:12Speaker 1: She has a drinker m hm.
- 42:14Speaker 2: And so all of the kids have noticed that and
- 42:16Speaker 2: been like, damn, Christine's changed a lot. And then we
- 42:18Speaker 2: don't hear anything else about.
- 42:20Speaker 1: It, right, And that's the most important and interesting thing. Yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 1: because as I said last week, that is why we've
- 42:27Speaker 1: started tuning in years ago to watch this polygamous family
- 42:31Speaker 1: and learn about their faith and how it is that
- 42:33Speaker 1: they function together as a family. Well, it turns out
- 42:36Speaker 1: they actually don't and probably never really did. And that's
- 42:39Speaker 1: interesting too. And so if the premise of the show
- 42:42Speaker 1: is polygamy and faith and relationships, stick with the fucking premise, yep.
- 42:46Speaker 1: And so explain yourself, Christine, Explain how you changed. When
- 42:51Speaker 1: did you change? It seems really fucking quick. Yeah, Like
- 42:54Speaker 1: you leave Cody Brown in a September, You start da
- 42:57Speaker 1: dating David in December.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Something like that January.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Yeah, so within three months, Like, did you go to
- 43:03Speaker 1: therapy for the loss of your twenty five year marriage?
- 43:05Speaker 1: I know you went to therapy in the marriage. You
- 43:07Speaker 1: had Nancy and whatnot. But like, have you had time
- 43:12Speaker 1: to process this breakup? I think it's generally accepted in
- 43:18Speaker 1: psychology that it takes you on an on a mental
- 43:23Speaker 1: emotional level, half as long as the duration of your
- 43:28Speaker 1: relationship to get over it, to process through it, and
- 43:33Speaker 1: to kind of find your equilibrium and find yourself.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Afterwards to be done with it.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and so if we're talking about a thirty year marriage,
- 43:42Speaker 1: it's going to take you fifteen years to process that
- 43:45Speaker 1: and to heal that. Now, that's a lot, obviously, and
- 43:47Speaker 1: it doesn't mean you can't enter into other relationships and
- 43:50Speaker 1: situations while still doing that. But like my primary question is, like,
- 43:54Speaker 1: holy shit, it's three months. Did you do any of
- 43:57Speaker 1: that excavation? Did you look at your shit all? No?
- 44:01Speaker 1: What's the process? Yeah, but we don't talk about that,
- 44:04Speaker 1: Like the things that could make this show just so
- 44:06Speaker 1: kill her? It's so interesting?
- 44:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Like same with plaith filled right, talk about
- 44:11Speaker 3: Kim's du Why damn like all of these easy, low
- 44:15Speaker 3: hanging fruit that would just fill the need of the
- 44:18Speaker 3: raccoons in the dumpster, and like there's no mention of it,
- 44:22Speaker 3: nothing at all.
- 44:23Speaker 1: So Christine, I guess just has a tattoo on her
- 44:25Speaker 1: titty and is a different woman.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Okay, then overnight essentially and she's fucking David and it's great, yep,
- 44:31Speaker 2: But like we're not gonna get into any of the
- 44:33Speaker 2: nitty gritties of their relationship cause I'm sure she's got
- 44:36Speaker 2: trauma at least with the whole physical attraction thing. Yes,
- 44:40Speaker 2: I mean she kind of mentions it in this episode
- 44:42Speaker 2: where she's like, I'm done living apart. It's been two months,
- 44:45Speaker 2: Like it's too long. We have to live together because
- 44:48Speaker 2: I want to make sure that the physical intimacy is
- 44:50Speaker 2: still there. It's like, girl, I know you guys are
- 44:53Speaker 2: fucking I know he thinks you're hot and beautiful and everything,
- 44:56Speaker 2: but like you're still talking about that. There's obviously still
- 44:59Speaker 2: trauma there. And we talked about it. I think last
- 45:02Speaker 2: episode where I was like Christine's super needy, Like, is
- 45:06Speaker 2: David gonna get tired of that?
- 45:07Speaker 1: I would?
- 45:08Speaker 2: I would, I'm already tired.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Maybe she should see her preferred medical professional, which is
- 45:14Speaker 1: a chiropractor. Maybe maybe a woman chiropractor can help her
- 45:17Speaker 1: with her divorce healing or join Worthy up.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Maybe she should tight Worthy up.
- 45:23Speaker 1: My god, oh drives me crazy, drives me crazy, maybe
- 45:27Speaker 1: me too.
- 45:28Speaker 2: And then last scene we have of the episode, well
- 45:31Speaker 2: not really the last one we have David and Christine
- 45:33Speaker 2: propose it.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 45:34Speaker 2: But the last good scene was Mary going over to
- 45:37Speaker 2: Cody and Robin's house to tell them for some reason
- 45:40Speaker 2: that she's moving before the end of her lease.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so like in her talking head, before she gets there,
- 45:46Speaker 1: she's like, I don't have to tell them anything. I
- 45:48Speaker 1: don't owe them anything, like she seems pissed off about
- 45:52Speaker 1: it or something. But then nonetheless she's trudging over there
- 45:56Speaker 1: in the same outfit that she wore when she said
- 46:00Speaker 1: down with Janelle and gave her a whole bunch of
- 46:02Speaker 1: petty energy with Janelle in the same outfit I think
- 46:05Speaker 1: that she wore to Josephine's bistro, which when she told Cody,
- 46:09Speaker 1: we need to fucking figure out coyote pass, Like all
- 46:11Speaker 1: of this is is all of this being filmed in
- 46:13Speaker 1: one day? Is that your fucking schedule, you entitled privileged assholes.
- 46:17Speaker 1: I just film once a month and we cram it
- 46:20Speaker 1: all in one day and get it all done. Jesus crackers.
- 46:23Speaker 1: So she goes over to Robin's McMansion and lo and
- 46:27Speaker 1: behold there's the gargoyle at the gate. There's the purple vampire,
- 46:34Speaker 1: Robin Brown sitting on the couch, all dour, all sour,
- 46:39Speaker 1: always with her eyebrows just paint bit.
- 46:42Speaker 2: But she's so pretty, by the way, No, she's so
- 46:44Speaker 2: shy and pretty.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Won shy and pretty wife.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Oh my god. And then Cody with his perm is
- 46:50Speaker 2: sitting on the couch.
- 46:51Speaker 1: I don't know. There was something so extra about his hair,
- 46:54Speaker 1: like so bad. It's like, you know, as we get
- 46:57Speaker 1: older and we develop our personalities, we should cultivate the
- 47:01Speaker 1: ability to pop outside of ourselves and just check ourselves out. Sure, Like,
- 47:05Speaker 1: just how am I doing here in this social situation?
- 47:07Speaker 1: Am I talking too much? Or how am I looking
- 47:09Speaker 1: when I'm looking in the mirror? Do I look all right?
- 47:12Speaker 1: He's got none of that. No, he's sitting on this
- 47:14Speaker 1: couch with like a sunburned tomato face and this Shirley
- 47:19Speaker 1: temple balding pate, ridiculous look. I don't know who is
- 47:24Speaker 1: encouraging him. I can't imagine Robin thinks this is attractive.
- 47:28Speaker 1: He looks like a fool. Cody Brown is a curly
- 47:32Speaker 1: cue pencil dicked his fucking belly. His six pack habs
- 47:38Speaker 1: just pouring over his pants from all the beer he drinks.
- 47:41Speaker 1: By the way, we didn't even address that because Mary
- 47:43Speaker 1: talked about them going out for their anniversary and they
- 47:46Speaker 1: had several beverages, which means booze. And there has been
- 47:50Speaker 1: a lot of rumors that Cody has become a big drinker.
- 47:53Speaker 1: And then again Mary, on a lot of her Instagram lives,
- 47:58Speaker 1: people have said she looks strong, so Mary's a drinker too,
- 48:01Speaker 1: although she denies it, but like he's got this belly.
- 48:04Speaker 1: He's sitting there looking like ghol. I'm just like, all
- 48:08Speaker 1: of these people are ridiculous.
- 48:10Speaker 2: They really are so stupid. And Mary sits on the
- 48:14Speaker 2: couch and the little kids are out and Brianna and.
- 48:17Speaker 1: A baby vampires. They're all baby vampires.
- 48:21Speaker 2: And Robin asks the question, is this a conversation that
- 48:25Speaker 2: they can all be present for. I'm like, first of all,
- 48:27Speaker 2: you got like two or three adult adult children, like
- 48:30Speaker 2: they can be present for this shit. The little kids,
- 48:32Speaker 2: I don't know why they can't be present. And Mary's like, well, yeah,
- 48:35Speaker 2: I mean unless you don't want them to be here.
- 48:38Speaker 2: And Robin's like, is it for the M word, like,
- 48:41Speaker 2: what do you it's moving?
- 48:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean murder, I mean what you say. Mary's
- 48:46Speaker 1: sad to talk about.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Oh my god. So she makes them leave the room.
- 48:50Speaker 2: She wants to protect them, she wants to make sure
- 48:52Speaker 2: they're safe right emotionally, temper yeah, And she's such a
- 48:57Speaker 2: good mom. She's such a good mom that she's married
- 49:00Speaker 2: to a malignant narcissist and she's high on ambient every day,
- 49:03Speaker 2: but she wants to protect the kids. So then Mary
- 49:06Speaker 2: tells Robin and Cody, yeah, I'm moving before my lease
- 49:08Speaker 2: is up. And Robin and Cody pretend like they're surprised, right,
- 49:12Speaker 2: They're like, oh, it's so quick. We thought it was
- 49:14Speaker 2: gonna be like July or June or something.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Well, Cody very quickly is like why so fast? Oh
- 49:19Speaker 1: my god, it's happening so quickly. And this again kind
- 49:22Speaker 1: of startles Mary and she's like, well, I mean, why
- 49:24Speaker 1: do you care? Why do you care?
- 49:25Speaker 2: Like, literally, why do you care?
- 49:26Speaker 1: I told you, I mean we know it's over. I
- 49:28Speaker 1: told you I'm gonna be heading that way anyway. Please
- 49:32Speaker 1: don't act like you care.
- 49:33Speaker 2: I know. Super weird. And this is Cody in his
- 49:36Speaker 2: talking head he's like, well, in my heart, I'm happy,
- 49:39Speaker 2: I'm glad, like good, this is gonna be great for Mary.
- 49:42Speaker 1: It's good.
- 49:42Speaker 2: But I can't share my full heart with Mary because
- 49:45Speaker 2: it's unsafe. Okay, I'm like, shut up, So what is this?
- 49:49Speaker 2: Is this an act then that you're saying like, is it?
- 49:52Speaker 1: Oh?
- 49:52Speaker 2: It's so quick? Yes, Like he's just pretending to care
- 49:55Speaker 2: for Mary, Like, drop the act. You don't give a
- 49:58Speaker 2: shit if she's alive or dad.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I literally doesn't care what she dies. Literally maybe hopes
- 50:04Speaker 1: that she does. Seriously, Yeah, it is an act.
- 50:07Speaker 2: It's so ridiculous.
- 50:10Speaker 1: And I'm sure he knew what she was coming over
- 50:13Speaker 1: to say. Anyway, everybody knew ahead of time. We can
- 50:16Speaker 1: see right through it. Of what I loved was when
- 50:21Speaker 1: Mary asked him to help her move and then said
- 50:24Speaker 1: something like, well consider it my severance package.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and he took that personal. Robin laughed at it
- 50:29Speaker 2: because she knew it was a joke, right, But Cody's like,
- 50:33Speaker 2: for what our marriage? And then his talking head He's like,
- 50:37Speaker 2: I don't know if she said that as a joke
- 50:39Speaker 2: or if it was passive aggressive or just aggressive, but
- 50:43Speaker 2: this is just the power for the course for our
- 50:45Speaker 2: entire marriage.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Like it's it's a joke.
- 50:48Speaker 2: It's a literal joke.
- 50:49Speaker 1: It's simple joke. It doesn't have to be that deep, Cody.
- 50:54Speaker 2: But I mean, he thinks that Mary's an aggressive person,
- 50:58Speaker 2: which I'm just like, dude, you're also hell aggressive, so
- 51:00Speaker 2: shut up. Oh my god, he's a monster, I mean,
- 51:03Speaker 2: a total fucking monster. So yeah, and then Mary talks
- 51:08Speaker 2: about the severance package thing. She's like, well, I failed
- 51:10Speaker 2: to ask for alimony during my legal divorce, so i'm
- 51:13Speaker 2: sol So yeah, he should help me move.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I'm like that's right, and she kind of says and
- 51:19Speaker 1: if he helps me move, we'll call it even. Yeah.
- 51:21Speaker 1: I'm like, no, there is this small matter of coyote past,
- 51:25Speaker 1: which Mary you should care about, and even though you
- 51:28Speaker 1: don't have much of a relationship with Janelle, you should
- 51:31Speaker 1: probably help your sister wife out so you both get
- 51:34Speaker 1: the money that you rightly deserve instead of this fucking
- 51:37Speaker 1: apathetic attitude that just benefits Cody and Robin's. I can
- 51:42Speaker 1: see glimpses. Okay, I think she's dropping hints Mary that
- 51:46Speaker 1: she's unhappy and that these people are terrible people. Like
- 51:50Speaker 1: she gives off the vibe that she's starting to look
- 51:53Speaker 1: at them in a different way. But like, if that's
- 51:55Speaker 1: the case, then absolutely they would scam you out of
- 51:58Speaker 1: that property. This isn't even They owe you a lot
- 52:01Speaker 1: more than just helping you move to piwan Utah. I
- 52:04Speaker 1: ask for more. Ask for what you're worth. Know what's
- 52:06Speaker 1: you're worth.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Yep, you should sue him for all of the money
- 52:09Speaker 2: that you've given him over the last ten years when
- 52:11Speaker 2: you thought you were working on your relationship and he
- 52:14Speaker 2: was totally fucking dumb with you.
- 52:15Speaker 1: I bet it was on a list. I bet that
- 52:17Speaker 1: was an item on the list.
- 52:19Speaker 2: But for some reason, she's not going to sue him
- 52:21Speaker 2: as at least right not right now. Christine's the only
- 52:24Speaker 2: one with balls to do well.
- 52:25Speaker 1: But again, I mentioned that Janelle mentioned in her podcast
- 52:29Speaker 1: tour in the last couple of months that she was
- 52:30Speaker 1: working on a project with Mary. I don't see them
- 52:33Speaker 1: in a joint business venture. I'm wondering if this is
- 52:35Speaker 1: a lawsuit of some kind. Hopefully they're settling it and
- 52:38Speaker 1: hopefully we hear about it when it happens. Put it
- 52:41Speaker 1: on the visual Wake Up Mary for real, hashtag worthy,
- 52:44Speaker 1: up worthy, up and wake Up. So at some point
- 52:48Speaker 1: Solinari come in, and it's a very awkward. These these
- 52:52Speaker 1: kids are. It's just weird. But look, I thought Mary
- 52:57Speaker 1: was so wonderful with how she spoke to them and
- 53:00Speaker 1: how she broke the news, and soloin Ari did seem
- 53:03Speaker 1: like a little bit, you know, sad that she was leaving,
- 53:06Speaker 1: Yeah or whatever. Maybe they were coached before she got
- 53:10Speaker 1: there because they knew about the conversation and so they
- 53:12Speaker 1: pretended to care. But like the way Mary talks about
- 53:15Speaker 1: it is that she hasn't seen these kids in a
- 53:18Speaker 1: really long time. And in her talking head she actually
- 53:21Speaker 1: says that she has reached out multiple times to Robin,
- 53:25Speaker 1: specifically via text and otherwise, asking to see these kids,
- 53:30Speaker 1: asking to just spend some time because she has what
- 53:34Speaker 1: she calls a special connection with Solomon. But she also
- 53:38Speaker 1: loves Ari, and so she's sitting alone in her flag
- 53:42Speaker 1: Staff rental, holiday after holiday, month after month, COVID during
- 53:47Speaker 1: the entire pandemic, nobody visiting her, and all she's wanting
- 53:50Speaker 1: to do is see those kids because she loves them,
- 53:54Speaker 1: and she's reaching out to Robin, and Robin's not even
- 53:58Speaker 1: bothering to respond. Yeah, or if she does, it always
- 54:03Speaker 1: falls through.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Yep. Mary says it's like pulling teeth to try and
- 54:07Speaker 2: see these kids, and I'm like, uh, good information, that's juice.
- 54:10Speaker 1: That's what we suspected.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yep, because in the very next scene, Robin in her
- 54:15Speaker 2: talking head, talks about how, yeah, me and Cody were
- 54:18Speaker 2: a lot happier when he was in a better place
- 54:21Speaker 2: with all the wives. So I'm like, okay, but then,
- 54:22Speaker 2: why weren't you talking to Mary at all? If you
- 54:25Speaker 2: guys were BFFs and she was the only wife that
- 54:28Speaker 2: didn't run a campaign against you, why didn't you let
- 54:32Speaker 2: her see the kids? Why wasn't she around at your house?
- 54:34Speaker 2: Why did you invite her to every single fucking holiday?
- 54:37Speaker 1: Right, Well, if she was asked that directly by a producer,
- 54:40Speaker 1: she would deny it, and she would probably not call
- 54:42Speaker 1: Mary a liar. But she's like, no, I definitely responded,
- 54:45Speaker 1: and yeah, it was just her. She would lie. Yep,
- 54:48Speaker 1: she's a liar.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Yep, she's a liar.
- 54:49Speaker 1: And so I love that Mary, who has been her
- 54:53Speaker 1: biggest support and who has had her back, is the
- 54:56Speaker 1: one calling her out. And she's not doing it in
- 54:59Speaker 1: a malicious way. She's just telling the truth, bitch, and
- 55:02Speaker 1: it's the truth that is confirming what we already knew
- 55:04Speaker 1: about you. Robin. Yep, you used Mary. You used Mary
- 55:08Speaker 1: initially for the power to be in a power position,
- 55:10Speaker 1: and then you used her for her money and to
- 55:13Speaker 1: get everything you could get out of her. And you
- 55:15Speaker 1: also used Mary to try and rehabilitate your brand exactly
- 55:21Speaker 1: and your persona with the audience.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Yep.
- 55:24Speaker 1: But now Mary is starting to throw you under the bus,
- 55:27Speaker 1: and it's been a long time coming. You deserve it,
- 55:29Speaker 1: and you deserve so much more.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Bitch. I just want more of Mary to say, like,
- 55:34Speaker 2: I want her to say more shit about them, because
- 55:37Speaker 2: she's been so wronged, Like not like Janelle and Christine
- 55:40Speaker 2: haven't been wrong, obviously they have, but like Mary, out
- 55:43Speaker 2: of all these years, she's been so loyal and dedicated
- 55:46Speaker 2: to Cody fucking Brown for some reason, and yet she's
- 55:50Speaker 2: been treated like dog shit. Robin can't even be her
- 55:53Speaker 2: friend and let her see her kids. It's like, we're
- 55:56Speaker 2: come into the house. I was very surprised she was
- 55:58Speaker 2: able to enter the house and they didn't have an
- 56:01Speaker 2: outside conversation. Right the fucking snow.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Right has seventeen foot snowbag.
- 56:07Speaker 2: So yeah, it's crazy, and then Robin talking about how
- 56:09Speaker 2: there's been a campaign against her from the OG three
- 56:12Speaker 2: wives for a long time and she just wants to
- 56:15Speaker 2: scream at everybody, like, God, guys, how the heck did
- 56:19Speaker 2: we get here?
- 56:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder how what a mystery? We have a
- 56:24Speaker 1: caller this week who's like, it's either one thing or
- 56:27Speaker 1: the other with Robin. You either miss the family. You
- 56:30Speaker 1: either miss having the wives there and all the kids
- 56:33Speaker 1: and you miss the vision of sitting on the porch
- 56:36Speaker 1: in your rocking chairs with these women, or they're on
- 56:39Speaker 1: a campaign against you and they've never supported you or
- 56:42Speaker 1: had your back. Because if the latter is true, and
- 56:45Speaker 1: if you're asking us to believe that they've been on
- 56:47Speaker 1: a campaign against you, then you wouldn't want to be
- 56:50Speaker 1: around these people. You wouldn't want to have big family gatherings,
- 56:53Speaker 1: You wouldn't want to have a future sitting on a
- 56:55Speaker 1: rocking chair with a bit who's thrown you under the
- 56:57Speaker 1: bus and talking matched it about you exactly. And you're
- 56:59Speaker 1: saying both of these things at the same time. So
- 57:02Speaker 1: which one is the lie? Well, the lie is that
- 57:07Speaker 1: you ever wanted it in the first place.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Yep.
- 57:09Speaker 1: The truth is you just wanted Cody and all the
- 57:11Speaker 1: money and everything for yourself exactly.
- 57:14Speaker 2: That's all. That's all it is. An if Robin just
- 57:17Speaker 2: came out and said something like that, I would respect
- 57:20Speaker 2: her so much more. But you continue to lie and
- 57:23Speaker 2: put on these faked tears, and you want us to
- 57:25Speaker 2: feel bad for you, and I don't at all like
- 57:27Speaker 2: I want to. I want to feel like I want
- 57:30Speaker 2: to feel like she was a victim of Cody's narcissistic abuse.
- 57:34Speaker 2: But the truth is she's just as big of a
- 57:37Speaker 2: narcissist as Cody. Brown is the fact that these two
- 57:39Speaker 2: narcissists found each other and fell in love and became
- 57:42Speaker 2: this power couple that now own a two point five
- 57:45Speaker 2: million dollar mansion whatever on the backs of all of
- 57:49Speaker 2: these other wives. And they don't work, they don't do
- 57:52Speaker 2: anything to contribute to society. The fact that they're able
- 57:55Speaker 2: to be successful is wild to Yeah, that's the that's
- 57:59Speaker 2: the world we live in.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I hate that. I do not prefer him.
- 58:04Speaker 2: I do not remember that.
- 58:06Speaker 1: All right, let's get to the last section with the proposal.
- 58:09Speaker 1: I know you don't want to talk about the proposal.
- 58:11Speaker 1: David proposes, what a shock, She says, Yes, I just
- 58:13Speaker 1: want to talk about Truly biting David. Yeah, because as
- 58:17Speaker 1: they're on their way to Moab or whatever, in the
- 58:21Speaker 1: ATV or whatever it is, Truly's in the backseat and
- 58:25Speaker 1: she's biting David's hand, Yeah, And I'm just wondering, like
- 58:31Speaker 1: what that's about. It could be that Truly is very
- 58:36Speaker 1: comfortable with David and feels very playful with him, and
- 58:39Speaker 1: maybe this is the first time she's ever really had
- 58:41Speaker 1: a male figure in her life that she could be
- 58:44Speaker 1: like this with and so she's playing and it's a
- 58:47Speaker 1: happy thing or it's not. Yeah, And when I saw
- 58:52Speaker 1: her do that, and of course we saw her at
- 58:54Speaker 1: the venues kind of running into them, crashing through them,
- 58:57Speaker 1: yelling at them and such, I consider this to be
- 59:00Speaker 1: like a valid form of communication and expression for her.
- 59:04Speaker 1: And if that's the case, then the question is, well,
- 59:06Speaker 1: what is she communicating by physically not attacking, but like, well,
- 59:11Speaker 1: I mean confronting, physically confronting this man. I'm just concerned
- 59:17Speaker 1: that she might be communicating displeasure, uncomfortable and uncomfortable feeling.
- 59:23Speaker 1: And Christine is willfully regarding it as playfulness, whereas it
- 59:28Speaker 1: might be an SOS and Truly doesn't necessarily know how
- 59:31Speaker 1: to communicate that with words, and so she's doing this instead. Yeah,
- 59:34Speaker 1: what are your thoughts? What are your feelings?
- 59:36Speaker 2: No, I think that's exactly what it is. I think
- 59:38Speaker 2: she's too young to have the faculty to communicate to
- 59:41Speaker 2: her mom, like, Hey, I'm a little uncomfortable seeing you
- 59:44Speaker 2: tongue kiss this guy that I barely know because you've
- 59:48Speaker 2: only been with him for like two months now. He's
- 59:50Speaker 2: living with us, and I have to be dragged along
- 59:52Speaker 2: for the ride. I don't know if I'm hearing you
- 59:54Speaker 2: guys bang. Probably I could see Christine being kind of
- 59:58Speaker 2: loud and annoying even in so like, I'm I'm sure
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Chris truly is just uncomfortable. I think she's just like,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: this is weird. You're not my dad, and I'm just
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: reacting to this because I don't know how else to
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: communicate it. My mom doesn't give a shit even if
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I do communicate it. She's telling me that she's gonna
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: be with this guy regardless of how I feel about it.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna bite him.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Fuck you, David.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: I've gotta let it out somehow.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Hope it hurts. Yeah, Yeah, Like I was just wondering.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I think I think I think either of those things
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: are possible. I'm hoping she feels super comfortable and playful,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: that she likes him and this is just how she
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: expresses herself. But I'm just concerned, especially given you know,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Aspen's face every time she's around David, and Isabelle's concern
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: that we saw this episode and then truly just acting
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: out and out and out and out and out. I'm
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: like just concerned about it, and I'm sending out the flare.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: If anybody sees it, I don't know, but I know
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Christine doesn't because she doesn't want to see it. All
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: she wants is that ring, yep, ugly ring on her finger,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: that man on his knee, and that dick that sixty
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: year old more mom sexy give it to a baby bit.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Oh yes, And.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Hopefully David is like a good father figure truly, Hopefully
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: he's being very respectful to truly, like in front of
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: truly with Christine, like, hopefully they're not like super inappropriate
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: and gross. It's just I worry about it.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I think a lot of us are are kind
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: of worried about it, and I think it's a growing
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: sentiment out there. People are just becoming more and more
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: concerned and annoyed by Christine, like it's it's not hidden
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: the way I think you think it's hit.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: No, yeah, it's really annoyed.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: No, nobody wants to see it.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: And then we have the preview Cody helping Mary move,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: and we have that weird, awkward scene where she backs
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: her booty up into Cody's dingle, backs that thing up,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I mean, and she's laughing about it, but I feel
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: like she's totally She's like, oh my god.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: My god, I felt a little noodle, felt a little
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: noodle at I see that, my god. And Cody's like, Okay,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I don't know what to do right now, and.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: He laughs it off uncomfortable, but he also calls Mary
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: his favorite ex wife because they're like cordial, I guess.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Then we have Chris and she's like, at least I'm
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a favorite something. I'm finally a favorite. Sad, very sad.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: And then we have Christine and David telling all the
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: kids that they got engaged and showing them the video,
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: and Peyton's like, it's been two days, yeah, since I've
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: met the guy, and now you're already engaged the fuck mom.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: And then we have Cody sobbing to Mary and hugging
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: her because it's the end of an era. Yeah, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: he's sad that she's moving, which I'm like, fuck you.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'm of two minds a little bit. I'm
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: of two minds here because anybody who's been divorced knows
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: that it just is like a death. And if you're
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: really happy that it's over, that mitigates a lot of
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: how you feel. But like if if you know you
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: part on good terms, if you initiate it, you're hurting somebody.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Like when it ends, it is for me, I won't
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: even get into it. I mean marriages that I walked
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: away from that I needed to walk away from, like
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: when they ended and it was final, like just sobbing,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: so such just catharsis release so very sad because you
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: were with somebody for a period of time, you made
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: children with them, Yeah, and that means something. So for
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: a normal person, that's a perfectly normal response. But Cody Brown,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: he's tap dancing for the cameras.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Bitch. Yeah see, I'm just like, fuck this guy, because
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: you've kept her on a string for ten years, Like
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: what are you really crying? Over, you know, like if
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: you said it's been done for eight or ten years,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: it's been done for a long time, Like why are
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: you crying? But I can see the sentiment that it
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: is sad because it is the death of I mean
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: thirty years that were together. It was her first marriage,
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: his first marriage. Like, I totally get that.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: They've been through so many things together and grew up together,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: grew up together. I mean it's a big deal. But like,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I just don't trust him. Actually, this entire episode, I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: was just looking at him like he seems crazy to me.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: He seems like he has a legitimate mental problem. When
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: he was sitting on that couch with his tight ass curls,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I'm just like, what is wrong with you? You look nuts,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: and I think you are nuts. I think something is terribly,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: terribly wrong in your brain ball.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Oh for sure, he doesn't live in reality, no, because
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: if he did, he would acknowledge his failures in all
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: of this. But no, he thinks that he did nothing wrong.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: All these women are bitches and he's like, yeah, like
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: I'm sad because I don't have your money.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean I'm not even sad though, Like
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I'm still not in reality. So I'm gonna buy this
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: two point one million dollars. I'm not even like forecasting
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: out for the inevitable end of this show, and like,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: what the fuck are you gonna do? Maybe be fiscally responsible,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: but like no, because he's not dealing in reality exactly.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just wild. It's a crazy person.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: He's sobbing, he's got snot and I don't care.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: I don't either, but I want to watch it though.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited me as well. Well, this was a
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: good talk about a lame episode.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: I know, I don't know how we do it.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I don't either.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: It was so boring, but we turned shit.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: We mine it, we mine it, We look for the
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: golden nuggets. Yeah, well, is there anything else that we
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: need to say to these beautiful raccoons before we get
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: up on out of here, Beatrice?
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Well, if you love our podcast, I sure hope and

- 1:05:39Speaker 1: To continue our Sister Wives conversation and create a safe
