- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up? And welcome. This is the Rogue Recap, and
- 0:04Speaker 1: you are here with your host, Linda McLaughlin. She is pissed, off, outraged,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and has zero patients with what seems to be an
- 0:12Speaker 1: epidemic of entitlement and stupidity. Here we talk about all
- 0:17Speaker 1: the things the other shows just don't or won't touch.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Make sure to like and subscribe to her podcast so
- 0:23Speaker 1: you never miss an episode.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Well, I've got two topics for you tonight, guys, and
- 0:29Speaker 2: welcome to the show. This is the Rogue Recap. I
- 0:31Speaker 2: am Lynda McLaughlin. In true fashion of this show, we're
- 0:35Speaker 2: going to talk about what I believe to be two
- 0:38Speaker 2: of the biggest stories of the day. If you're paying
- 0:42Speaker 2: attention to Illinois, the governor there Pritzker, the mayor of Chicago,
- 0:48Speaker 2: Brandon Johnson, you are seeing these paid protesters, these rabid
- 0:53Speaker 2: lunatics who, while they want to unmask Ice and Homeland
- 0:58Speaker 2: Security and federal agents, you know, are in pink and
- 1:04Speaker 2: black and blue masks with you know, some of them
- 1:07Speaker 2: have gas maks on, you know, and they're all covering
- 1:10Speaker 2: their faces because while they're so brave to where the
- 1:13Speaker 2: caffe is, they are not brave enough to let you
- 1:15Speaker 2: know that it's them wearing their caffe. So continue to
- 1:20Speaker 2: despise Antifa and wish we could just put them all
- 1:24Speaker 2: on a bus and send them, I don't know, somewhere
- 1:27Speaker 2: to a remote mountain where they have to forge for
- 1:29Speaker 2: their own food or something. I don't know. But you know,
- 1:32Speaker 2: there's there's so much talk that the community is upset,
- 1:37Speaker 2: the community is angry about what's happening on the ground there,
- 1:42Speaker 2: and you know, I just don't believe that. I really don't.
- 1:46Speaker 2: You know, we played a few weeks ago here on
- 1:49Speaker 2: the show some audio of some residents that were like,
- 1:54Speaker 2: you know, Pritzker and Brandon Johnson are standing on like
- 1:57Speaker 2: the water side and they're they're talking about how beautiful
- 2:01Speaker 2: the city is. And I'm like, first of all, you
- 2:03Speaker 2: can't take credit for, you know, the river, you can't
- 2:07Speaker 2: take credit for the bridge. You can't take credit for
- 2:10Speaker 2: an area that is you know, kept up and clean
- 2:14Speaker 2: because you've decided to make an appearance, or maybe it's
- 2:17Speaker 2: always that way because the residents there take care of it.
- 2:19Speaker 2: You know, you have to go to the South side
- 2:21Speaker 2: of Chicago. You have to talk to people that are
- 2:24Speaker 2: in the thick of where the drug cartels and the
- 2:28Speaker 2: incredibly illegal migration, and the drive by shootings, the broad
- 2:34Speaker 2: daylight shootings. You know, we got little kids asleep in
- 2:37Speaker 2: their bed getting shot. I mean, there's just there's a
- 2:40Speaker 2: lot going on. And I heard something the other day
- 2:43Speaker 2: and I've been repeating it because I believe it to
- 2:45Speaker 2: be true, which is these liberals, these Antifa people, these democrats,
- 2:51Speaker 2: they hate Trump more than they love America, more than
- 2:57Speaker 2: they love their constituents, more than they love free him.
- 3:01Speaker 2: They would do anything they could to stop President Trump.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And it does not matter what gets tramped in the way.
- 3:07Speaker 2: They don't care. They just don't care. And so I
- 3:11Speaker 2: was scrolling through as I do. My son calls it
- 3:14Speaker 2: the doom scroll, and I was looking at all of
- 3:17Speaker 2: the various news stories and I stumbled across this group
- 3:22Speaker 2: of black residents from Chicago. And it looks like it
- 3:26Speaker 2: probably was around Christmas time last year. And so this
- 3:32Speaker 2: is before any of the Trump stuff. But I know
- 3:35Speaker 2: that Trump was even talking then when he had first,
- 3:38Speaker 2: you know, won the election, that he was going to
- 3:40Speaker 2: come into the major cities and clean them up and
- 3:42Speaker 2: tackle crime and all the things. And even then they
- 3:44Speaker 2: were freaking out, and this woman so precisely responds to
- 3:52Speaker 2: the ridiculous allocation of taxpayer dollars to non legal people
- 4:00Speaker 2: that are living in the state at the behest and
- 4:03Speaker 2: the welcome of Johnson and Pritzker, and as a result,
- 4:08Speaker 2: are taking away funds from subsidized programs that go to
- 4:13Speaker 2: at risk communities servicing you know, a lot of the
- 4:17Speaker 2: black communities, and they're losing shelters and housing and so
- 4:21Speaker 2: on and so forth. So I'm going to set this
- 4:23Speaker 2: up a little bit, which is this woman is standing here,
- 4:26Speaker 2: she's in front of a group of I guess friends
- 4:30Speaker 2: and colleagues, and she's talking about hopes that she is
- 4:33Speaker 2: and she's not pulling any punches. And then on the
- 4:36Speaker 2: other side, we'll go into a little bit about where
- 4:39Speaker 2: that anger that you're hearing on this tape is actually
- 4:41Speaker 2: coming from.
- 4:42Speaker 3: This morning, I heard Mayor Brandon Johnson say that the
- 4:45Speaker 3: sentiment and the black community is waning a lot. The
- 4:51Speaker 3: sentiment is not waning. We are not okay with you
- 4:55Speaker 3: taking our resources and giving them to people who don't
- 4:58Speaker 3: live here, stated before, you're preparing housing for them. One
- 5:05Speaker 3: of the reasons that the City of Chicago was able
- 5:09Speaker 3: to close fifty schools was because of the black light.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And the reason we had a black light was because
- 5:16Speaker 3: there is no affordable housing in this city. It is
- 5:19Speaker 3: because the city of Chicago shut down the voucher system
- 5:23Speaker 3: so that blacks who needed to get affordable housing could not,
- 5:27Speaker 3: so they had no choice but to flee to other states.
- 5:30Speaker 3: But now you've found money by the Life Right, we're
- 5:35Speaker 3: calling back.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And then another.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Thing you said was that the faith based leaders, oh, weren't.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Helping to bring around the sentiment.
- 5:45Speaker 3: We had to paid attention to faith based leaders since
- 5:48Speaker 3: doctor Marlin Luther King. And guess what, we're not listening
- 5:52Speaker 3: to them now. We understand that they are bought and
- 5:55Speaker 3: paid for. We understand that you control for nation that
- 6:00Speaker 3: are trying to speak about.
- 6:02Speaker 2: So let me just say this.
- 6:03Speaker 3: To you, we're not listening to them the same way
- 6:07Speaker 3: we're not listening to you. What you're doing is not okay.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I mean, could she be more spot on? Chicago sheltered
- 6:16Speaker 2: over forty six thousand migrants since the summer of twenty
- 6:20Speaker 2: twenty two, and I'm sure that that number is conservative.
- 6:24Speaker 2: They've spent over five hundred million dollars on illegal immigration
- 6:30Speaker 2: and again, it's not being forced upon them. They welcome it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: And Brandon Johnson is extending the shelter stays and he
- 6:39Speaker 2: did that as recently as September last month, even though
- 6:43Speaker 2: black communities are screaming and saying, you are diverting resources
- 6:49Speaker 2: from things that help our community to help community of
- 6:53Speaker 2: people that are not here legally and do not pay
- 6:56Speaker 2: into the system and do nothing to benefit. How is
- 7:00Speaker 2: this a thing now? This woman is referencing initially with
- 7:06Speaker 2: the Chicago Schools where she talked about that Black flight
- 7:09Speaker 2: that goes back to twenty thirteen, and that was under
- 7:11Speaker 2: ram a manual, and there was a ton of ongoing
- 7:16Speaker 2: housing shortages in these black neighborhoods, and obviously, instead of
- 7:22Speaker 2: finding ways to get people into housing, they closed the
- 7:27Speaker 2: voucher system, not allowing people to apply and forcing them
- 7:31Speaker 2: to go to other cities and states where they could
- 7:33Speaker 2: get affordable housing and projects and housing developments, et cetera
- 7:37Speaker 2: for low income. And to her point, you know when
- 7:40Speaker 2: she said, we're not listening to faith leaders any more
- 7:44Speaker 2: than we're listening to you, that's because the faith leaders
- 7:46Speaker 2: are getting kickbacks and they're almost, if not worse than
- 7:50Speaker 2: the politicians or they're exactly the same as them. You know,
- 7:53Speaker 2: Al Sharpton is one of these guys that is just
- 7:56Speaker 2: such a grifter. He is like the King of Cringe
- 8:01Speaker 2: and he's everywhere and he's just full of it. He's
- 8:04Speaker 2: never saying anything that feels authentic. It's so contrived and ridiculous.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And I think, to myself, you are one of the
- 8:14Speaker 2: most deplorable people I have ever seen debate, whether it
- 8:18Speaker 2: be on your TV show, on your radio show, I've
- 8:21Speaker 2: seen him in live debate. He is so uneducated and
- 8:25Speaker 2: he just pulls stuff out of his ass that doesn't
- 8:27Speaker 2: even make sense. He accuses everyone who he, you know,
- 8:31Speaker 2: is fighting with, He accuses of racism. You're a racist. Okay, Well,
- 8:34Speaker 2: now we got that out of the way, just so
- 8:37Speaker 2: that he can sort of pivot the conversation away from
- 8:40Speaker 2: the question that's being asked of him. And it really
- 8:43Speaker 2: doesn't service anybody. Nobody gets anything out of that, you know. Anyways,
- 8:47Speaker 2: I love this woman. I don't know this woman. I
- 8:49Speaker 2: don't know who she is. She's got some weird username
- 8:52Speaker 2: on TikTok. It's like user number forty six five six
- 8:55Speaker 2: blah blah blah blah blah, but I loved how plainly
- 8:59Speaker 2: and how directly she was talking to her elected officials
- 9:04Speaker 2: and explaining, I don't know who you think you're talking about,
- 9:07Speaker 2: and I don't know who you think is behind you,
- 9:11Speaker 2: but it is not the black community. And if there
- 9:14Speaker 2: is a black community standing next to you, it's because
- 9:16Speaker 2: they've been bought and paid for. They have been bought
- 9:19Speaker 2: and paid for and whatever it is that you're doing
- 9:22Speaker 2: with those migrants and creating shelters and creating funds to
- 9:26Speaker 2: say that you have nothing left and you can't help
- 9:29Speaker 2: the people of your community, and that to suddenly find
- 9:32Speaker 2: half of you know, half a billion dollars, really, it's
- 9:35Speaker 2: just it's just wrong. And there's really not a lot
- 9:39Speaker 2: of there's really not a lot of room to butter
- 9:44Speaker 2: that up or make it something it's not. They're just
- 9:47Speaker 2: bad people. It's just real simple. So we're going to
- 9:51Speaker 2: pivot to the next topic of tonight, which is something
- 9:53Speaker 2: that has me really upset and I have no idea
- 9:57Speaker 2: why we're doing it. You may or may not have
- 9:59Speaker 2: heard that today our Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, has
- 10:05Speaker 2: agreed to host a new Katari Air Force facility in
- 10:09Speaker 2: Mountain Home Air Force base right here, and I know
- 10:14Speaker 2: the facility is going to be used to train Katari
- 10:17Speaker 2: pilots to fly F fifteen fighter jets. It's going to
- 10:22Speaker 2: accommodate the Qatari F fifteen fighter jets and their pilots,
- 10:26Speaker 2: and there's going to be joint training with US forces
- 10:30Speaker 2: so that we have enhanced combat readiness and cooperation. Now,
- 10:36Speaker 2: the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth is excited about this.
- 10:39Speaker 2: He praised Guitar's role in the Gaza peace Deal and
- 10:43Speaker 2: is saying thank you so much for being such a
- 10:45Speaker 2: big part of what happened in Gaza. And this is historic.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So they're sitting there at this table, it's Pete Hegseeth
- 10:51Speaker 2: and his I guess, you know, sort of counterpart for Qatar,
- 10:56Speaker 2: and they're signing this agreement that that we're going to
- 10:58Speaker 2: have a Katari bass in Idaho. What I gotta tell
- 11:06Speaker 2: you this, I honestly had to see if this was
- 11:08Speaker 2: like a Babylon b thing, but it's not. Take a listen.
- 11:14Speaker 4: We also value the close corporation between Doha and Washington
- 11:19Speaker 4: that led to the signing of the Gaza Peace Plan
- 11:22Speaker 4: on October eighth. This historic achievement underscore what can be
- 11:28Speaker 4: accomplished when our nations work together with courage and trust
- 11:33Speaker 4: amongst other partners such as Egypt and Turkey. We further
- 11:38Speaker 4: welcome today's signing of the Letter of Acceptance establishing a
- 11:42Speaker 4: Katari a Mere Air Force Facility and Mountain Home Air
- 11:45Speaker 4: Base in Idahom. This step strengthen interborabilities, enhance joint treadiness,
- 11:52Speaker 4: and advance our shared defense goals, Mister Secretary, Together we
- 11:57Speaker 4: will continue to deepen the strategic partnership in pursuit of
- 12:02Speaker 4: lasting peace and shared security. Thank you very much.
- 12:05Speaker 2: As thank you sign and trade? How about that?
- 12:10Speaker 5: Yeah, exchange.
- 12:20Speaker 2: And this is them signing what we're hearing.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Thanks, oh god, thanks very much, thank you. Appreciate you,
- 12:36Speaker 5: thank you, thank you.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Just to recap there, this is the Katari Minister of
- 12:43Speaker 2: Defense Al Fanny. He's calling this peace deal in Gaza
- 12:47Speaker 2: a historic achievement. I would agree with that. I will
- 12:52Speaker 2: reserve my comments for what I believe to be an
- 12:55Speaker 2: unfortunate reality and where I think this will ultimately end up.
- 12:59Speaker 2: But for all, right now, fine, Thanny is like, this
- 13:03Speaker 2: is great. We you know the effectiveness of the US
- 13:06Speaker 2: Katari collaboration and the partnerships between the United States and Doha,
- 13:11Speaker 2: and you know, and then President Trump jumps in and
- 13:14Speaker 2: he's like, thank you Katar, Egypt and Turkey for also
- 13:17Speaker 2: being a part of the ceasefire agreement with Israel and Hamas. Yeah, okay, fine,
- 13:21Speaker 2: but we're not talking about Israel and Hamas here, We're
- 13:25Speaker 2: talking about a Katari air base in Idaho. How the
- 13:30Speaker 2: hell did a Katari air base in Idaho become a
- 13:33Speaker 2: part of the peace deal between Hamas and Israel? Is
- 13:37Speaker 2: this what we're doing? We're giving up a piece I
- 13:40Speaker 2: mean Idaho guys. You know, like have you ever eat
- 13:44Speaker 2: mashed potatoes from there? This is like literally down home America,
- 13:50Speaker 2: and now we're going to have a bunch of Kataris
- 13:52Speaker 2: living there with an air force base. I am, I
- 13:56Speaker 2: don't know. This just feels wrong to me. And you know,
- 14:00Speaker 2: my good friend Brigie Gabriel, she's been on this show,
- 14:03Speaker 2: and this is a woman who truly understands the religion
- 14:06Speaker 2: of Islam, and she wrote today on x she was like,
- 14:11Speaker 2: this is a huge mistake. These people are not our friends.
- 14:16Speaker 2: She said, very simply. I don't trust Qatar, I don't
- 14:19Speaker 2: trust Hamas. I don't trust Iran, and I don't trust
- 14:23Speaker 2: the Muslim brotherhood. They all work towards the same angle.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I agree with her. If you need to work with
- 14:30Speaker 2: people because you have a collective greater good result that
- 14:33Speaker 2: you're looking for, wonderful. I think that's awesome. But is
- 14:38Speaker 2: there a reason why we need to give them American
- 14:42Speaker 2: soil for a foreign air base. I don't know. This
- 14:47Speaker 2: just feels wrong to me. I already think that we've
- 14:50Speaker 2: got sleeper cells all over this country. I already think
- 14:53Speaker 2: that we are at great risk. I've lived through nine
- 14:55Speaker 2: to eleven and I would choose to not do it again.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And I don't know. It's funny, you know, it's like
- 15:02Speaker 2: never again is right now. Whether it's the way people
- 15:05Speaker 2: have this rabid anti Semitism, or the way that they're
- 15:10Speaker 2: falling for, you know, Democrat bullshit, or the way that
- 15:13Speaker 2: they're like, yeah, we can all live in peace, we
- 15:16Speaker 2: really can't. America is not a melting pot. America is
- 15:20Speaker 2: a place where a lot of people do their own
- 15:23Speaker 2: thing right next to each other and occasionally cross paths,
- 15:27Speaker 2: but for the most part, they're siloed in their communities.
- 15:30Speaker 2: They do what they want to do and when they
- 15:31Speaker 2: want to mix those communities. They do, but they're not.
- 15:36Speaker 2: It's not an everyday thing. So this idea that you're
- 15:39Speaker 2: going to bring in kataris, I don't know. I just
- 15:43Speaker 2: think it's a mistake. That's my personal opinion. And I'm
- 15:46Speaker 2: really concerned about what we're giving in return for a
- 15:50Speaker 2: quote unquote peace deal with Hamas, which I have to
- 15:53Speaker 2: tell you from the bottom of my heart, I don't
- 15:55Speaker 2: even think is possible. I mean, these guys are screaming
- 15:58Speaker 2: from the river to the sea every single day, and
- 16:01Speaker 2: it has nothing to do with how hard our country
- 16:04Speaker 2: worked to achieve this piece deal. We still don't have
- 16:07Speaker 2: the hostages back, dead or alive. Shouldn't we have them back?
- 16:13Speaker 2: What they did on October seventh is so beyond the pale,
- 16:18Speaker 2: the idea that they used media and social media and
- 16:23Speaker 2: live streaming to let the world know just how much
- 16:29Speaker 2: they could do, how much hate they have, how much
- 16:32Speaker 2: venom they have, and how little regard they have for
- 16:34Speaker 2: human life. It's it's the same old adage like when
- 16:39Speaker 2: someone tells you who they are, believe them, and in
- 16:42Speaker 2: this case, they showed you, and we still have people
- 16:45Speaker 2: denying shit. It's pretty upsetting. I'm very against this Katari
- 16:51Speaker 2: air base in Idaho. I don't know why we can't
- 16:54Speaker 2: have a Katari air base in Qatar, and then if
- 16:57Speaker 2: we wanted to send you know, United It's pilots there
- 17:01Speaker 2: to train with them on f fifteen's have at it.
- 17:05Speaker 2: But to actually bring in the planes and the staffing
- 17:09Speaker 2: from Qatar into Idaho, it's a massive, massive mistake. I
- 17:16Speaker 2: don't know, guys, it doesn't feel right to me. We
- 17:18Speaker 2: have Columbus Day on Monday. I'm so grateful to President
- 17:21Speaker 2: Trump that it is Columbus Day again and that we're
- 17:24Speaker 2: actually proud of Italian heritage that brought us to this
- 17:29Speaker 2: great nation with the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I still remember that from fourth grade. What is it
- 17:36Speaker 2: in fourteen ninety two Columbus sail the Ocean Blue? I
- 17:39Speaker 2: don't know. In any event, Monday will be a day
- 17:44Speaker 2: to remember and not a day to hate quote unquote
- 17:47Speaker 2: European colonizers. And I for sure will be one of
- 17:50Speaker 2: those people celebrating. I hope you will too, and I
- 17:53Speaker 2: will see you next week. Please follow us at Linda
- 17:56Speaker 2: Mick at Roague Recap. Be safe out there, we'll see
- 18:00Speaker 2: next week, hmm.
