- 0:01Speaker 1: Good money, good money, good money.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Welcome, Welcome on immediate's time Now for car talk. We
- 0:05Speaker 2: have Brad Dungeons with Dungeons Toyota and he brought friends.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Ain't doing Brad, Good morning Tom. I'm doing very well.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We are at the end of April. Hard to believe
- 0:15Speaker 2: or through four months of the year already.
- 0:18Speaker 1: What a crazy, crazy crazy any good. Did you have
- 0:23Speaker 1: to do the hail dance the other day? We've done
- 0:25Speaker 1: it a few times, yeah, this week.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's uh, definitely. We didn't do it on what
- 0:33Speaker 3: was it that afternoon? It came through it a little bit.
- 0:35Speaker 3: That was I knew that was a chance, but we.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Took the risk.
- 0:40Speaker 3: And it's just small enough to not cause any damage.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Just enough to get you nervous.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Yes we had, but yeah, no, we do take cover
- 0:50Speaker 3: when we can. It's uh, it's certainly this time of year.
- 0:54Speaker 3: And with all those storms, thankfully we've kind of caught
- 0:58Speaker 3: up on the rain we needed and.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Here we are at the end of April. I would
- 1:02Speaker 1: checked on the Toyota.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Business Barometer they call it, and we are still in
- 1:09Speaker 3: the top ten and regionally for percentage of prior year growth.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Just growing like crazy. I'll take time. It's awesome.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's it's really the team has focused on growing our
- 1:26Speaker 3: business and that way we get more to the very
- 1:29Speaker 3: scarce Toyota inventory. And it's great to have a great
- 1:33Speaker 3: brand like that that's got higher high demand and uh
- 1:37Speaker 3: you know a little bit of a low supply, but
- 1:39Speaker 3: better than the opposite.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yeah, but I've got Randall Jones back on the show
- 1:45Speaker 3: you were on a few weeks ago.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I brought my son, so yeah, it was good.
- 1:49Speaker 1: That was a lot of fun.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he had a lot of fun, enjoyed it.
- 1:54Speaker 4: He made sure everybody.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Saw the video.
- 1:57Speaker 3: For Well today you're here in your official Tri County capacity. Yes,
- 2:02Speaker 3: we're all getting ready for the Career Fair Absolute week.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Ye. And this is something that you know, we participate in.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Love to go to.
- 2:12Speaker 3: It's you get to meet a lot of people and
- 2:14Speaker 3: talk to them about unders Toyota and what we do.
- 2:18Speaker 3: You know, if you walk through our dealership, virtually every
- 2:22Speaker 3: department there's people that went to Try County and uh,
- 2:25Speaker 3: particularly in service in the body shop where you have
- 2:28Speaker 3: great programs. Yeah, you know, it's uh, it's one of
- 2:32Speaker 3: those things that so important to our community.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Absolutely absolutely, Yeah, Try It's one thing I love about
- 2:39Speaker 4: Trick County. You know, uh, multiple multiple generations. For my family,
- 2:44Speaker 4: it's impacted in a great place. So it's not just
- 2:46Speaker 4: a not just a great place to work. I see
- 2:49Speaker 4: the impact that it's made in students' lives. And to
- 2:52Speaker 4: get to be a part of something like that is uh,
- 2:54Speaker 4: you know what they say, you never work a day
- 2:56Speaker 4: in your life when.
- 2:57Speaker 1: When you know.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Or enjoy what you do and and I really think
- 3:02Speaker 4: real joy comes and when you know you're making an
- 3:03Speaker 4: impact in the lives of people that you interact with,
- 3:06Speaker 4: and you know, generationally impact and that's what Tri County
- 3:09Speaker 4: Kick does and so that's why we like it is absolutely,
- 3:13Speaker 4: certainly absolutely how I feel about our our business and
- 3:18Speaker 4: the impact it's.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Had on my family and our.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Lives and going back to nineteen twenty nine, absolute and
- 3:25Speaker 3: it's it's and all the people that have worked there
- 3:28Speaker 3: through the years, everything from the baseball team when sponsored
- 3:33Speaker 3: now since nineteen forty one, they kick off another year
- 3:38Speaker 3: that you know, all those things kind of layer up
- 3:41Speaker 3: and like you said, it's generationally, but it's really about
- 3:46Speaker 3: you know that those opportunities people get and exposing them
- 3:50Speaker 3: to opportunity and that's what a career for sure.
- 3:56Speaker 4: And you know you've got I heard over eighty Rady vendors,
- 4:01Speaker 4: and we're covering about every kind of industry you can imagine,
- 4:04Speaker 4: from UH, manufacturing, healthcare. We've got every branch of military
- 4:10Speaker 4: will be there, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the correctional facilities, first responders,
- 4:17Speaker 4: partis with fire and ambulance.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And then we got twelve colleges.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So if you're if you want to further your education,
- 4:26Speaker 4: there's some opportunities there.
- 4:27Speaker 3: And that was one thing I realized when I was
- 4:29Speaker 3: walking around last year. And you know, it's great for
- 4:33Speaker 3: your for graduates or people that are about to go
- 4:36Speaker 3: on and be in the workforce, but it might even
- 4:39Speaker 3: be more impactful for people that aren't quite to that point. Yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 3: and you know, just to see the breadth of what
- 4:45Speaker 3: kind of opportunities they are and see what kind of
- 4:48Speaker 3: path they I want to get on at track antity
- 4:51Speaker 3: in order to get to reach your gold.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and we wanted we'd love to extend that invitation
- 4:57Speaker 4: to you know, our community members. If you're listening, you're
- 4:59Speaker 4: looking for a job or just kind of trying to
- 5:01Speaker 4: see what's out there. What's available. This is a great
- 5:04Speaker 4: opportunity to come out and see, uh, to see these
- 5:07Speaker 4: different companies that are in our communities, that are that
- 5:10Speaker 4: are looking and need to help, and or even just
- 5:12Speaker 4: figuring out the services that they offer. Yeah, you know
- 5:15Speaker 4: they're taking so either one of those words.
- 5:18Speaker 3: That other benefit we have from Dungeons to out is
- 5:20Speaker 3: just getting to all tell our story to everybody that
- 5:23Speaker 3: walks by, whether they're going to be working for us
- 5:26Speaker 3: or be a couple of potential customers in the future.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Absolutely, there is a chance to meet people, yeah for sure.
- 5:33Speaker 4: And we've got some nonprofits that are going to be
- 5:35Speaker 4: available that are looking for volunteers.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So if you need to do some community service.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Or looking away to give back in the community, it's
- 5:40Speaker 4: another place to come and connect to some of those
- 5:42Speaker 4: agencies that are going to be available to tell you
- 5:44Speaker 4: how you can help, you know, serve our community and
- 5:47Speaker 4: volunteering aspect of things to you.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It's next Friday. The what are the hours again?
- 5:52Speaker 4: So we got we'll have two sessions. We'll have a
- 5:54Speaker 4: morning session afternoon session. Morning session will start at nine
- 5:56Speaker 4: am and go to eleven and then in the afternoon
- 5:59Speaker 4: we'll have an afternoons us and that will start at
- 6:00Speaker 4: noon and go to so and they're all all be
- 6:04Speaker 4: there ready to to shake hands, and we'll be all
- 6:06Speaker 4: over the campus.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But you come through that.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Main event center door, it's all kind of connected right
- 6:11Speaker 4: there and all. So we'll yeah, and we'll have lots
- 6:13Speaker 4: of we'll have lots of people around helping point if
- 6:16Speaker 4: you have any questions, and some maps available and all
- 6:18Speaker 4: those things.
- 6:20Speaker 1: We filled.
- 6:21Speaker 4: We've we've just about filled every place that we can.
- 6:24Speaker 4: So we're which is great. It's a great opportunity. We
- 6:28Speaker 4: want to try to get as many of those representatives
- 6:30Speaker 4: from those organizations and companies within our community in and
- 6:34Speaker 4: that helps our students and community members if you're coming
- 6:37Speaker 4: in from the outside, you know, make that connection to
- 6:39Speaker 4: understand that you know, we're in a pretty.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Unique region here, you know, I mean, Barnisville.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Is uh offers a lot of things for employment and
- 6:49Speaker 4: services that some other towns don't and uh, you know,
- 6:52Speaker 4: I think sometimes we forget the the opportunities that we
- 6:55Speaker 4: have just right here close to home.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And this is a great chance to come and.
- 6:58Speaker 3: See that that makes sense special community, sure, and we're
- 7:02Speaker 3: in this incredible time in the world, you know, where
- 7:07Speaker 3: careers are evolving and how people approach higher education is changing,
- 7:11Speaker 3: and then what careers are going to look like in
- 7:14Speaker 3: the future. Sure, you know, I think it's uh, you know,
- 7:18Speaker 3: a traditional college degree is still a really great opportunity
- 7:21Speaker 3: for people to learn, to learn and learn abroad, broad.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Spectrum of different things.
- 7:27Speaker 3: But for some people specializing is really important, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 3: and and a lot of times that you know, it
- 7:34Speaker 3: seems like in the future here that's going to be
- 7:37Speaker 3: where the best opportunities are and where you know, the
- 7:41Speaker 3: things like you know, just trades and and things like
- 7:45Speaker 3: like an automotive I put a plug for career careers
- 7:50Speaker 3: and service and in.
- 7:52Speaker 1: The body shop. Uh.
- 7:53Speaker 3: You know, a lot of times people don't realize how,
- 7:57Speaker 3: you know, what the opportunity is there, and then how
- 8:00Speaker 3: it starts with you know, we imagine, you know, some
- 8:03Speaker 3: of us are older, you know, the older vehicles, and
- 8:06Speaker 3: you know, taking care of a fairly simple mechanical machine.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And they're not that anymore.
- 8:12Speaker 3: They have some of that aspect, but there there are
- 8:16Speaker 3: a lot of computers in there and all kinds of technology.
- 8:20Speaker 1: They know, you know, it's a it's kind of incredible.
- 8:23Speaker 1: A lot of are you know.
- 8:25Speaker 3: We have you know, in service, there's a couple of
- 8:29Speaker 3: people that have been through the Toyota training program and
- 8:32Speaker 3: some have been through Track County and and many of
- 8:35Speaker 3: them started like in it type stuff learning about computers,
- 8:40Speaker 3: and then spread out into the car business, you.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Know, and it just it's uh so it's worth exploring.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And certainly other trades and opportunities like that. You guys
- 8:53Speaker 1: have programs, oh yeah for most of those.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, So we covered lots of different trades and
- 9:00Speaker 4: streets from eating and air, electrical plumbing, carpentry, and automotive
- 9:06Speaker 4: paint and motor from the auto service guys. And then
- 9:09Speaker 4: we you know, we've got health care from nursing from
- 9:12Speaker 4: starting an entry level at CNA and all the way
- 9:16Speaker 4: up to LPN. And then we have one certified medical
- 9:20Speaker 4: medical assistant.
- 9:21Speaker 1: That's there.
- 9:21Speaker 4: We have a certification, and those certifications earn.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You higher wage of earning, you know, don't you know?
- 9:29Speaker 4: Getting that education is it just like you were saying,
- 9:31Speaker 4: wrapped up and getting a college degree. Getting an education
- 9:34Speaker 4: is learn a specified trade. And with that there's a
- 9:37Speaker 4: lot I mean, the market shows there's lots of jobs
- 9:40Speaker 4: and the pay is good.
- 9:41Speaker 3: So yeah, like, uh, I know, in the car business
- 9:46Speaker 3: in Toyota, you can take those credits you get and
- 9:50Speaker 3: the knowledge you learned there you can get into. It
- 9:54Speaker 3: helps you get a quicker start in the Toyota program,
- 9:57Speaker 3: get your a S certification, you can start to get
- 10:02Speaker 3: certified as a technician. Those things build over your career
- 10:06Speaker 3: and then you become what they call a master certified technician.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Those guys get paid, you know, lots of money for
- 10:13Speaker 3: the hour for the good one that they do, and
- 10:16Speaker 3: they have a broad knowledge across around the product and
- 10:20Speaker 3: and you know every manufacturer has their own version of that.
- 10:24Speaker 1: There's I'm sure the other.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Paths also do that too, and there's ways to connect
- 10:30Speaker 3: what you learn here in Borlsool Trick County to your
- 10:34Speaker 3: your career as you go forward.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Absolutely absolutely, And it's like you said, it's a great
- 10:39Speaker 4: opportunity to take a hold of for sure.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Another thing I've always been fascinated with at Trick County is,
- 10:46Speaker 3: like you said, it is a you have a great
- 10:48Speaker 3: organization and you guys got the Malcolm Baldridge.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, we got that several years ago. Man, and that
- 10:54Speaker 4: that award for quality. Yeah, that's a big deal. For us,
- 10:57Speaker 4: and so I my particular role is in the quality apartment.
- 11:00Speaker 4: And one thing that you know, getting to see it
- 11:02Speaker 4: from this perspective is it's not we don't want to just.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Be good to be good.
- 11:08Speaker 4: We know that when we're good, that quality is serving
- 11:12Speaker 4: students who can in return turn into quality employment for businesses,
- 11:16Speaker 4: and those businesses turn into quality employers because they have
- 11:19Speaker 4: quality employees. And it's a It trickles down and affects
- 11:22Speaker 4: our time.
- 11:23Speaker 3: And you mentioned that the strength of art, but a
- 11:26Speaker 3: lot of I mean connects connects to that for sure.
- 11:31Speaker 3: And then the Malcolm Walters Award is a.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Is a major.
- 11:36Speaker 4: It is something to really be proved difficult, and it's
- 11:39Speaker 4: a team effort, you know, I think everybody coming in
- 11:41Speaker 4: every day and understanding that we have one common goal
- 11:43Speaker 4: and that's to serve you know, our students in our
- 11:46Speaker 4: community the best possible way we can and helping them
- 11:49Speaker 4: achieve their dreams and goals. And this career fair is
- 11:52Speaker 4: the next step. You know, we tell students all the time,
- 11:54Speaker 4: you know, we don't. Success for us isn't just for
- 11:57Speaker 4: your you as a student being successful here and good grit,
- 12:00Speaker 4: right though, those are important. Real success happens is what
- 12:04Speaker 4: you when you leave here, what are you taking with you?
- 12:06Speaker 4: And what are you going to do to help lead
- 12:08Speaker 4: you into a successful career, even if it's furthering your
- 12:11Speaker 4: education in college or going into the military.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And if we can help you, know, we can help
- 12:16Speaker 1: you get a good, sure.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Foundation to step onto when you leave us, then that
- 12:21Speaker 4: means success. All right, that's real success, and that's a
- 12:24Speaker 4: big deal. So we take that to take that really serious.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Awesome, well, great stuff.
- 12:29Speaker 3: And again the career Fairs next Friday nine to eleven
- 12:33Speaker 3: or noon to two, and it's open to anyone who
- 12:37Speaker 3: wants to come and explore absolutity.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Just come through our bit Center entrance and we'll welcome
- 12:43Speaker 4: you there and we'll winch in the right direction to go.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Start shaking hands and hands some resumes out. That's awesome.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And of course we're finishing up the month at the
- 12:53Speaker 3: dealership before we get started and all artists getting ready
- 12:57Speaker 3: for the for their career fair next week. I've got
- 12:59Speaker 3: some material ready, but we'll start getting more organized after
- 13:03Speaker 3: we get done with April. We got a few more
- 13:06Speaker 3: cars to sell every month, and let's go and we
- 13:08Speaker 3: live in this world of months in the car business
- 13:11Speaker 3: where it's all they already got it. Several emails from
- 13:14Speaker 3: Toyota reminding me it was the end of the month,
- 13:19Speaker 3: it's time to deliver.
- 13:22Speaker 1: The pressure is on. That just means you can get
- 13:25Speaker 1: great deals right now. It's done. Just Toyota.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Our noncommissioned sales teams out there help you buy a car.
- 13:32Speaker 1: That's really you know. What we like to say is
- 13:35Speaker 1: we're not there to sell your car.
- 13:36Speaker 3: We're there to help you buy it and take care
- 13:38Speaker 3: of your answer your questions make it easier to buy
- 13:42Speaker 3: a car. We don't charge a dock fee. We don't
- 13:46Speaker 3: do dealer add on, so we try to keep it simple.
- 13:49Speaker 3: We use real math and calculating your payment we do.
- 13:52Speaker 3: We don't do traditional sales techniques. The price you see
- 13:58Speaker 3: online is the same as well on the car at
- 14:01Speaker 3: the dealership or in our tools that where we calculate
- 14:06Speaker 3: the payment. It's the same thing you can use on
- 14:08Speaker 3: the website. So it's all transparent, easy to use. It's
- 14:13Speaker 3: easy to go in there and compare different incentives and
- 14:17Speaker 3: offers from the manufacturers compared leasing to retail purchases.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Traditional financing.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Toyota Financial has some great rates right now as well
- 14:29Speaker 3: as zero percent great deals on Tacoma Tundra. We've got
- 14:33Speaker 3: a credible selection of Highlanders that have been really difficult to.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Get lately, and the Grand Highlander.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I think a couple of forerunners available, one on the
- 14:46Speaker 3: ground and another one will be here soon, and just
- 14:50Speaker 3: one of our best inventories overall in a long time.
- 14:54Speaker 3: As like I said, we've been growing up over one
- 14:57Speaker 3: hundred and forty year to date and it's really really
- 15:02Speaker 3: exciting time. We've we're looking to supplement our used car
- 15:07Speaker 3: inventory with the changes in the last with growing gas
- 15:11Speaker 3: prices and the cost of living being stressing people's financially.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Used cars are really uh uh at a premium right
- 15:22Speaker 3: now there in some ways the value is rising kind
- 15:26Speaker 3: of unusually in the last few months, so you can
- 15:29Speaker 3: get a great value for your trade if it might
- 15:32Speaker 3: be worth more than it was in the recent past.
- 15:36Speaker 3: We've also really need the inventory. There's high demand for
- 15:40Speaker 3: great good mostly for high quality used cars, but also
- 15:43Speaker 3: really and expensive vehicles all the way through.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Late model stuff.
- 15:47Speaker 3: So if you're if you've got an extra vehicle, or
- 15:50Speaker 3: you're even if you're going to buy somewhere else, we'll
- 15:53Speaker 3: be happy to do an analysis on it and let
- 15:56Speaker 3: you know what we think it's worth. And we've got
- 15:59Speaker 3: tools on our web site where you can do that,
- 16:01Speaker 3: where what's known as a Kelly blue Book Instant Cash
- 16:04Speaker 3: Offer buying center where you can go and onto our
- 16:08Speaker 3: website get it get a Kelly blue Book value for
- 16:11Speaker 3: the vehicle just by answering a few questions. Uh, it'll
- 16:15Speaker 3: give you a value. You can you can you give
- 16:19Speaker 3: it a counter offer right there in the system. Add
- 16:22Speaker 3: more information. The more you add, obviously the the the
- 16:26Speaker 3: better closer we can get to its actual value. A
- 16:30Speaker 3: lot of times it really makes sense to bring the
- 16:32Speaker 3: car in. After you've done that, we can, uh, we
- 16:35Speaker 3: can then give you really you know, to make sure
- 16:39Speaker 3: we're giving you the most that we can for the vehicle.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And it's a lot of process to that.
- 16:44Speaker 3: We've got an acquisition specialist. It'll start actually tomorrow and
- 16:49Speaker 3: who's coming coming aboard and we'll be helping Bruce, who's
- 16:53Speaker 3: our used car manager, my brother Bruce dungeus Is.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I've been running that.
- 16:58Speaker 3: We were in the top two in the state of
- 17:01Speaker 3: Oklahoma and purchasing through the ICO program last year.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Last month in March and hopefully.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Stay keep maybe we can grow even more and a
- 17:11Speaker 3: hopefully as we add Noah, he'll be able to keep
- 17:16Speaker 3: that momentum going. And you know, another thing we do is,
- 17:20Speaker 3: you know, you if you're looking for used cars on
- 17:24Speaker 3: what they call third parties, whether it's auto trader or
- 17:27Speaker 3: car grovers, we don't put our used cars up there anymore.
- 17:31Speaker 1: We we I've always kind of had a conflict with that.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I'm like, we pay them for them to advertise our
- 17:37Speaker 3: used cars, so they're there's we own them and they're
- 17:42Speaker 3: advertising them and they go in on the Google and
- 17:47Speaker 3: buy ads using our cars to drive them to their
- 17:51Speaker 3: website instead of ours.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Like that's an added cost, isn't it? And you know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: and and I've been back and forth on this. Obviously
- 18:02Speaker 1: they're not bad. They they provide.
- 18:05Speaker 3: A lot of value to consumers, and they've changed our industry.
- 18:07Speaker 3: They've made the vehicle purchase process more transparent, and they
- 18:12Speaker 3: provide value to customers. But the truth is, if you know,
- 18:17Speaker 3: it's a small business of small you know, we've got
- 18:19Speaker 3: to hold our costs down in order to provide value
- 18:22Speaker 3: for our customers and provide for our employees.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And you know, it's one of those things.
- 18:27Speaker 3: And you know, are we really going to lose anything
- 18:29Speaker 3: if we don't do that And.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It turns out we don't.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Usually we keep on selling cars people, So be sure
- 18:37Speaker 3: to go to our website and check out what we
- 18:39Speaker 3: have in stock. You don't hesitate to reach out to
- 18:43Speaker 3: us and let us know what you're looking for, whether
- 18:46Speaker 3: it's a new or used vehicle. We've got more cars coming.
- 18:50Speaker 3: We're always, like I said, looking at these instant cash
- 18:53Speaker 3: offer vehicles and you know, so a lot of times
- 18:56Speaker 3: we can go and get a car for.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You if you know what you want, whether it's new
- 19:00Speaker 1: or used.
- 19:01Speaker 3: And uh, you know, we've got the resources to do
- 19:04Speaker 3: that and tools that help us make sure that we
- 19:07Speaker 3: get you a great deal on that car.
- 19:08Speaker 1: And that's uh, it's something we really want to specialize in.
- 19:12Speaker 3: And kind of flipping it around from from paying them
- 19:16Speaker 3: big money to advertise our cars.
- 19:19Speaker 1: It's like that that seems odd today. Yeah, I got you.
- 19:22Speaker 3: But back to what's going on out of Triy County.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Is there anything else? I mean, we got the career
- 19:27Speaker 3: for their next week, but what else is happening. It's
- 19:29Speaker 3: almost done with this.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Now, we're getting ready to wrap ups the school year.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I have graduation and pinning ceremonies are coming and students
- 19:36Speaker 4: are excited for that.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And you've got.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Students that are in internships and apprenticeships and student services.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Are working really hard in recruiting to get campus full
- 19:46Speaker 1: next year. Well, I was going to say, as much
- 19:48Speaker 1: be that must start. I've started already. Yeah, we've already done.
- 19:51Speaker 4: High school acceptance went out a couple of weeks ago
- 19:53Speaker 4: and they're still accepting. I think we still have some
- 19:55Speaker 4: programs that still have openings, so it's not too late
- 19:57Speaker 4: if you're a high school student waiting to figure out
- 19:59Speaker 4: next year. And we always say those high school student
- 20:03Speaker 4: options to come out there and get your hands hands
- 20:06Speaker 4: on access to millions of dollars in technology at no
- 20:08Speaker 4: charge to you in high school is a great education
- 20:12Speaker 4: and so we always and you can tell talking to
- 20:16Speaker 4: the students, it's a lot of fun is they learn,
- 20:18Speaker 4: they and they want to be there, and it's a
- 20:20Speaker 4: lot of fun for us to have them there and
- 20:21Speaker 4: to see their you know, eyes widen and you know
- 20:27Speaker 4: education take place and the realization that there's lots of
- 20:29Speaker 4: things that they can do with their life that are
- 20:31Speaker 4: gonna not only what they enjoy and make a good living.
- 20:34Speaker 1: In the process. So it's a great opportunity to take
- 20:36Speaker 1: advantage of.
- 20:37Speaker 3: And you mentioned the expensive stuff you got out there. Okay,
- 20:41Speaker 3: I give them some examples.
- 20:43Speaker 4: We just well, like you know, this last year we bought,
- 20:45Speaker 4: we invested into our machining class and we purchased a
- 20:48Speaker 4: new machine, a C and C machine, computerized five access
- 20:52Speaker 4: and so those guys can go in which you know
- 20:54Speaker 4: in that industry and the machining industry, most machine shops
- 20:58Speaker 4: and manufacturings have those. And so to be able to
- 21:01Speaker 4: add that to our classroom, you know, these guys are
- 21:05Speaker 4: going to step out of the classroom, step into the workfast,
- 21:07Speaker 4: and they're going to know exactly what they're looking at
- 21:09Speaker 4: because they're getting it here. And we try to do
- 21:11Speaker 4: that in all of our programs. You know, when they
- 21:13Speaker 4: step out of the classroom and in some ways you know,
- 21:17Speaker 4: they made some of them might take jobs and step into.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Jobs where you know, they got they got.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Access to things that that that manufacturing may not have
- 21:24Speaker 4: seen yet. Because we're trying to stay as much in
- 21:26Speaker 4: advance and that's a good thing and so we're we're
- 21:29Speaker 4: super proud of that opportunity for our students.
- 21:31Speaker 1: How many students are there out there?
- 21:33Speaker 4: This year we have our day we have almost seven
- 21:35Speaker 4: hundred students, one of the bigger classes we've had. So
- 21:38Speaker 4: if you've been out there lately, you've seen the parking
- 21:40Speaker 4: lotter is usually full.
- 21:41Speaker 1: It is, and we've.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Got lots of students and that's not counting our evening
- 21:44Speaker 4: adult classes. So they've got several to run through those
- 21:47Speaker 4: and those run every ninety days. And you know, I have.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Tried to do those three three four.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Food service, I mentioned the automobile programs, heating.
- 21:57Speaker 4: There, Yeah, just actioning, industrial tech, healthcare opportunities, cosmetology, so yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 4: we white care, daycare, teacher prep for high school students,
- 22:10Speaker 4: so they want to on to teacher, computer repair, networking, marketing,
- 22:14Speaker 4: so yeah, deal hygiene with our partnership with OU got
- 22:18Speaker 4: that on campus as well, and so just to everything. Yeah,
- 22:21Speaker 4: we got a lot of opportunities for people to come
- 22:24Speaker 4: out and get an education.
- 22:24Speaker 3: And of course there's a career tech kind of all
- 22:29Speaker 3: over the state.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You guys are kind of unique in some ways. I
- 22:33Speaker 1: mean the Malcolm Baldrin it was one way.
- 22:35Speaker 4: But when we were the first career tech school in Oklahoma, okay,
- 22:39Speaker 4: which counts an interesting fact.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Yeah, sixty eight, So it's sixty eight.
- 22:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think sixty seven when nursing began, and
- 22:46Speaker 4: then we started branching to some of the.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Well that's great here because that's when my grandfather got Toyota.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Nineteen sixty eight. There, we know, that's awesome.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Four dealerships before that, and I think he had other
- 22:57Speaker 3: brands as well. Proud to still have the Toyota brand.
- 23:01Speaker 3: It's great, great uh great vehicles. And you know a
- 23:05Speaker 3: lot of the stuff you talk about is what they
- 23:07Speaker 3: build their their whole culture around.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Is that, uh you know, the manufacturing.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Prowess of what of Toyota and their their history goes
- 23:16Speaker 3: back to before they made cars, they actually made looms
- 23:20Speaker 3: and uh you know, we're manufacturing looms for creating textiles
- 23:25Speaker 3: and and that became making cars in the forties and
- 23:31Speaker 3: fifties in Japan and then started coming to the United
- 23:35Speaker 3: States in the late fifties and early sixties.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And and uh, you know, made have just continued to
- 23:42Speaker 1: get better.
- 23:42Speaker 3: And you know, I really are a worldwide corporation and uh,
- 23:46Speaker 3: you know, take great partnership with even with a small
- 23:50Speaker 3: dealer like US. They're they're great partners, work with us
- 23:54Speaker 3: to to keep getting better. They kind of take a
- 23:58Speaker 3: hands off approach in some ways, but are very intentional
- 24:01Speaker 3: about what they do and and really uh you know,
- 24:04Speaker 3: you know, I think focus on people, which is another
- 24:08Speaker 3: great aspect similar to what what your guys do out
- 24:12Speaker 3: in Track County. We're sure, We're sure, well, so h so,
- 24:17Speaker 3: time to get your application in for next year.

- 24:36Speaker 4: so apply and come and be a part of that.
- 24:39Speaker 4: That's again I'll at try County Tech dot edu.

- 24:50Speaker 3: to do.
- 24:51Speaker 1: This might be a great great way to start is
- 24:54Speaker 1: just by going to the career for absolutely learn a little.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Bit about Trick County, but also see all a different
- 25:00Speaker 3: career paths that are out there in our community or.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Even though you know you're a local employer, you know,

- 26:02Speaker 3: they call a sales base and tonight it's tonight, So
- 26:05Speaker 3: everything we report through tonight adds up for our future
- 26:09Speaker 3: allocation with I think a nationwide I saw Toyota running
- 26:14Speaker 3: in the twenty five to thirty days supply on the ground,
- 26:17Speaker 3: and so they are a high demand with low supply.

- 26:42Speaker 2: yourself a favorite.
- 26:43Speaker 3: We doing the discount right up front. A lot of
- 26:47Speaker 3: dealers make you jump through hoops. I got to fill
- 26:49Speaker 3: out a form to find out what the price of
