- 0:00Speaker 1: So Gina was last week regaling us throughout the week
- 0:05Speaker 1: with food unusual food items at baseball parks. Sure there
- 0:10Speaker 1: was the nacho nacho hat hat, and you know a
- 0:15Speaker 1: bunch of.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Other Well, Salt Lake is doing it now too.
- 0:18Speaker 3: We're getting into the unique, you.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Know, the Salt Lake Salt Lake Bees. Here's some of
- 0:22Speaker 1: the things they're they're doing. First of all, they said
- 0:26Speaker 1: it didn't take long for the kitchen to agree on
- 0:28Speaker 1: a hot dog that would stop people in their tracks.
- 0:32Speaker 1: They saw the Slugger, which was at the Los Angeles
- 0:36Speaker 1: Dodgers last year. That's a sixteen inch loaded hot dog. Well,
- 0:40Speaker 1: the Bees they're doing the dinger Dog, which debuted at
- 0:44Speaker 1: the games this week. It's eighteen inches long.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Put that dinger in my mouth.
- 0:51Speaker 2: That the dinger Dog. So the Now.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Another thing that they've got is a a pretzel that
- 1:06Speaker 1: looks like a baseball bat. Okay, it's a big I
- 1:10Speaker 1: mean it's it's big. Yeah, it's let's see. The team
- 1:14Speaker 1: is a memorable experience of focus. Food taste is a
- 1:17Speaker 1: memory of the goal here is to make memories and
- 1:20Speaker 1: of the the burgers at bat the team conducted connected
- 1:25Speaker 1: with dangerous pretzel over the offseason following the Salt Lake
- 1:28Speaker 1: City based company's success selling large pretzels at Utah Mammoth games.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So they've come up with a pretzel that looks like
- 1:37Speaker 1: a baseball bat, and it's about the size of a
- 1:39Speaker 1: baseball bat.
- 1:40Speaker 3: It's just an un pretzel.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I guess it's putting in no effort to string it
- 1:49Speaker 4: together and just lay it out.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And then another thing that they've done is the Grand
- 1:55Speaker 1: Slam Burger. This is a four inch Patty Smash burger
- 2:04Speaker 1: or a four Patty Smash.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Burger for Patty Damn x.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Ninety six dot com Slash Live. The smash Burgers are
- 2:13Speaker 1: all the rage, and data from last year showed spectators
- 2:15Speaker 1: were wolfing them down at an all outfield stand. Last year,
- 2:19Speaker 1: the team rebranded Catchers Cantina in the concourse behind home
- 2:23Speaker 1: play to Burgers at Bat over the offseason to meet
- 2:26Speaker 1: the demand a for Patty Goliath with more than twenty
- 2:30Speaker 1: ounces of meat stacked together. It's called the Grand Slam.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You can order it with fewer patties, which is cheaper.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And then the macpack Macpack macaroni and cheese, but it's
- 2:47Speaker 1: it's loaded up with stuff. It comes completely, it comes
- 2:52Speaker 1: completely different options together in a box that barely fits
- 2:55Speaker 1: in a family photo.
- 2:57Speaker 4: That so.
- 2:59Speaker 1: It's it's macaroni and cheese, but then you can put
- 3:01Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff on top of it.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So, oh, that's a big old mess of stuff.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a pile of I'm seeing like a pile
- 3:11Speaker 4: of stuff beef.
- 3:13Speaker 3: On the side, I'm assuming. Yeah, some Halloween.
- 3:16Speaker 4: It kind of looks like loaded nachos, Yeah, with macaroni
- 3:19Speaker 4: and cheese at the bottom instead of chips.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, now that I misspoke this one. This one is
- 3:24Speaker 1: that America. Oh it is, Yeah, it's out it's out
- 3:27Speaker 1: there in South Jordan.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And there there's another one too.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's called going yard, which is a three foot pile
- 3:35Speaker 1: of fries with all kinds of toppings on them.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It looks like the last item, but with fries instead
- 3:42Speaker 3: of mac and.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Cheese, buffalo chicken, loaded steak, tips and Philly cheese, steak
- 3:46Speaker 1: chili cheese.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Uh.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And and you you just you buy it and then
- 3:51Speaker 1: you share it, I guess or not. And they're they're
- 3:57Speaker 1: working on other stuff. And then there's a picture there.
- 4:00Speaker 1: If you guys got the two mascots, we've got Buzzy
- 4:03Speaker 1: or no Bumble. That's what he's called Bumble. He's the
- 4:06Speaker 1: Bees mascot. Remember the Dirty Soda they're doing Swig night.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So there's the dirty Soda mascot. It's a drink cup
- 4:16Speaker 1: with a drink cup with that's just he's the dirty
- 4:24Speaker 1: Soda mascot. Is his Yeah, his name is swig Shocker.
- 4:32Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and they're putting a there's gonna be a hibachi station.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Habachi station, the Bapark.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Bumble's Barbecue has been rebranded rn R Barbecue has opened
- 4:46Speaker 1: up a food truck in.
- 4:47Speaker 2: The left field. Uh.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And then they're yeah, it's just they're going to put
- 4:51Speaker 1: in a hibachi station. I don't understand.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I missed the home run. They were doing the volcano effect.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And then I guess there's a game. They have a
- 5:00Speaker 2: game too.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Well, well, this is apparently, I would hope, so.
- 5:03Speaker 2: They have a ball game when all this is going on.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Back to the food.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's not just these but the ones that
- 5:10Speaker 5: Gina was talking about all this time.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:13Speaker 5: I don't think a lot of the people who create
- 5:16Speaker 5: these snacks and food don't realize we need to make
- 5:22Speaker 5: it easy for people to eat from their knees. Yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 5: because you know it's you're sitting in the in the
- 5:28Speaker 5: in the baseball seats.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't have a table.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Now, Yeah, you've got to be able to eat it
- 5:34Speaker 4: off of your knees, right, God forbid, you have a
- 5:37Speaker 4: solo seat with one of these longer tray ones exactly.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And the people on either side of you just have
- 5:42Speaker 4: to like bench soure.
- 5:44Speaker 5: They don't think about that. They and and that that burger.
- 5:49Speaker 5: I don't know how you eat it's too much.
- 5:50Speaker 2: It's just too much. I don't know how you'd eat it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Just doesn't it doesn't seem. Yeah, it doesn't seem. I
- 5:58Speaker 1: don't know how you would handle.
- 5:59Speaker 2: That's just way too much.
- 6:01Speaker 3: That dinger though, again, how you how are you gonna
- 6:06Speaker 3: eat that?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Oh?
- 6:07Speaker 1: You mean the hot see I like the hot dog? Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 1: the dinger DOGU. I you know you would. I don't
- 6:13Speaker 1: know how you would eat it.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Off of your knees. Get down on your knees for
- 6:18Speaker 3: the dinger dog?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I think so. If you look, if you look,
- 6:22Speaker 1: it's it's one one. It's I think it's just as
- 6:26Speaker 1: white as the seat. So you can put it on
- 6:28Speaker 1: both arms of.
- 6:29Speaker 4: The so you're no, her arms are spreading that photo. Yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 4: they're they're spread out. I don't trust that.
- 6:36Speaker 5: And is it one long dog or is it several
- 6:39Speaker 5: dogs lined up?
- 6:40Speaker 2: It's one long dog.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I do appreciate the bun to dog ratio, though, Yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 3: People people always overdo it with too much bun.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And then I think what you'd so, I bet you
- 6:55Speaker 1: can say to the when you buy it, would you
- 6:58Speaker 1: cut that into thirds for me?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Or or or fourths?
- 7:02Speaker 1: And then you know, everybody gets a inful of napkins
- 7:05Speaker 1: and and takes a hunk, and I would I would
- 7:10Speaker 1: wear I would wear clothes that you don't mind spilling
- 7:14Speaker 1: food on.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you would have on you? Yeah, yeah, you would
- 7:19Speaker 3: have it up to them.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I yeah, it's yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 5: I'll be I'll be selling pepto bismo.
- 7:29Speaker 1: If you have a problem with this, you can talk
- 7:31Speaker 1: to the vice president of Food and Beverage Operations for
- 7:34Speaker 1: the Bees. His name is Dominic der Bogosian.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Dom We're gonna be eating off of our knees. Keep
- 7:41Speaker 5: that in mind when you make these things. I will say,
- 7:44Speaker 5: the food does look good, it's just too much of it. Yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 5: for the Buzzy's bismol, that's what I'll call it new mascot,
- 7:50Speaker 5: new mascot, big pink bottle of dancing around.
- 7:56Speaker 3: That sounds fun.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Come on, Bobby, it's Fredo pie with chili.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I kind of like the pretzel. Though it says there
- 8:05Speaker 1: were kids sword fighting with them the other day. I
- 8:07Speaker 1: don't believe that for a second. That's what Hey, you
- 8:11Speaker 1: you you want to you want to doubt, mister, I'm
- 8:15Speaker 1: just telling you.
- 8:16Speaker 4: The only one I really have a problem with, Like
- 8:20Speaker 4: I just I just feel like it's a it's something
- 8:24Speaker 4: I would come up with to not do work is
- 8:26Speaker 4: that pretzel, which in a way I do respect.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Like I do respect, I don't know the lack of ustle.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I see it looks like a baseball bat. It's they
- 8:37Speaker 1: they put a little tough at the end.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's it.
- 8:39Speaker 3: That's but that.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Makes it too heavy on the end, and it's gonna
- 8:42Speaker 5: break if you're sword fighting with it.
- 8:44Speaker 3: No one is sword fighting with it.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Well, mister Drgobosian, he's he chuckled when he said it.
- 8:50Speaker 1: All right, Okay, we are worse than the Romans.
