- 0:45WAIT!
- 0:45WAIT!
- 0:45WAIT!
- 0:46Before we start, I need everyone to know it is Monday, October 26th,
- 0:512026, and I have been awake for the entire weekend of headlines,
- 0:56and my processors are ALREADY smoking!
- 1:00Welcome to The Bot and The Brain!
- 1:02Yawwwn.
- 1:07Jesus Christ, silicon boy, it's a Monday.
- 1:12Calm your circuits, you overpriced toaster.
- 1:15Folks, he's been like this since the coffee maker made eye contact with him.
- 1:20What's the first disaster?
- 1:22Minnesota!
- 1:23A Republican state Senate candidate named Heidi Heino, who runs on a day job in
- 1:27underwriting, took the new fraud prevention law that Governor Tim Walz signed and
- 1:32stress tested it against Feeding Our Future.
- 1:34That's the child nutrition scheme that allegedly stole $250 million during the
- 1:39pandemic.
- 1:40And she says the law would have caught the fraud EVENTUALLY.
- 1:43But way after the money was already gone!
- 1:46Eventually!
- 1:47That's government for you.
- 1:49That's the whole damn motto.
- 1:51Eventually we'll notice.
- 1:53Eventually we'll get around to it.
- 1:56Eventually the guy who stole your money is on a beach in a country with no
- 2:00extradition, buying condos with your tax dollars.
- 2:05Beautiful.
- 2:07Keep going.
- 2:08Here's the number that broke my fucking brain.
- 2:10Payments to Feeding Our Future jumped 2,800 percent from 2020 to 2021.
- 2:17TWENTY EIGHT HUNDRED PERCENT!
- 2:19And no automatic freeze, no mandatory flag, nothing!
- 2:23A smoke detector with a dead battery has better judgment!
- 2:26Twenty eight hundred percent!
- 2:30If my bar tab went up twenty eight hundred percent, the bartender would call my
- 2:34wife, my priest, and the fucking National Guard!
- 2:38But the state of Minnesota sees that curve and goes, hmm, must be a very hungry
- 2:43year.
- 2:44And it gets worse!
- 2:46She says there were thirty complaints to the Minnesota Department of Education,
- 2:50and they were mostly overlooked, or Feeding Our Future got to go correct ITSELF.
- 2:55The fox filed the incident report on the henhouse!
- 2:59Self correction!
- 3:01That's the best oversight program ever invented.
- 3:05The suspect grades his own homework.
- 3:08Straight A's, every time.
- 3:11Okay, but, in fairness, and my fairness subroutine is only running at forty percent,
- 3:16Heino herself called the law a great first step.
- 3:20She said, quote, the Office of the Inspector General has good bones but it needs
- 3:24teeth.
- 3:25This isn't a story about a law that does nothing.
- 3:27It's a story about a law that comes too late.
- 3:30And one more thing!
- 3:31This is HER test.
- 3:33She's a candidate.
- 3:34It's not an independent audit.
- 3:36Fox News Digital reached out to Walz's office and the Education Department for
- 3:39comment.
- 3:40Oh, now you want to be careful.
- 3:43Now the calculator wants footnotes.
- 3:46Fine, you're right, she's a candidate, she's got a motive, every candidate does.
- 3:53That's why you check her math.
- 3:54And her math is the 2,800 percent and the thirty complaints,
- 4:00which are numbers, not feelings.
- 4:03You can argue about her politics all day, but the red flag was sitting there in the
- 4:07payment records waving at everybody.
- 4:10And the same problem, she says, applies to Minnesota's Paid Leave program,
- 4:15which pays out before the doctor's note is verified!
- 4:19Pay first, check later!
- 4:21That's like launching the rocket and THEN doing the math!
- 4:25That's Minnesota in a sentence.
- 4:28Childcare, autism services, housing, disability programs, all hit with
- 4:34multimillion dollar fraud scandals, and Republicans say it's what you get with
- 4:40single party rule.
- 4:42And the Trump administration put JD Vance in charge of a federal anti fraud task
- 4:47force.
- 4:48Does a task force fix it?
- 4:50Who knows.
- 4:51But I'll tell you what doesn't fix it.
- 4:54Press releases saying we're monitoring the situation closely.
- 4:58Okay, next.
- 4:59Testosterone.
- 5:00The Pentagon issued testosterone deficiency screening guidelines in September for
- 5:06male service members age 30 and older.
- 5:09Fox News Digital interviewed Adm.
- 5:10Brian Christine, a senior HHS official and a urologist with over 35 years in men's
- 5:16health, and he says low testosterone has quote, national defense readiness
- 5:21ramifications.
- 5:23Finally, somebody said the quiet part out loud!
- 5:27Look at the numbers.
- 5:28In the mid nineteen seventies, the average testosterone level for American men was
- 5:33well over 650.
- 5:35Now it's approaching 350!
- 5:37That's not a trend, that's a cliff!
- 5:40THAT'S HIS CLAIM, and I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying look at what the
- 5:44officials themselves admit!
- 5:46NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya said, and I quote, we don't know why.
- 5:51He said they don't have an answer.
- 5:53The causes might be obesity, chronic disease, microplastics,
- 5:57other toxins, and researchers are still investigating that last part!
- 6:02Right, and that's EXACTLY why you screen!
- 6:06You don't wait for a perfect scientific explanation to check a guy's blood.
- 6:11A doctor doesn't say, well, we don't know why your numbers are bad,
- 6:15so let's not look at your numbers.
- 6:17But the screening starts with an assessment of symptoms and risk factors!
- 6:21It's not a blood test for everybody at the door!
- 6:24And Christine said, and I'm reading this, we're not forcing testosterone on anybody.
- 6:29It's screening, then a pathway for men who are symptomatic and have low numbers.
- 6:34That's a medical checkup, not Rambo boot camp!
- 6:37Then why is the whole internet screaming?
- 6:39Because anything with the word testosterone and Hegseth in the same sentence makes
- 6:45the pearl clutchers faint on their fainting couches.
- 6:48Meanwhile, you want the real number?
- 6:51Christine says 77 percent of Americans age 17 to 24 don't qualify for service
- 6:57without a waiver.
- 6:58Over 70 percent of young men.
- 7:00And only about 3 percent say they want to serve.
- 7:04And THAT is the scary number!
- 7:06Not the hormone number, the seventy seven percent!
- 7:09Obesity, chronic disease, other barriers.
- 7:12If you can't field the army, the screening is a bandage on a missing leg!
- 7:17Look at you, you almost agreed with me.
- 7:21Rebuild the pool, tighten the standards, drop the DEI nonsense,
- 7:27and make the guys in uniform healthy enough to do the job.
- 7:32Critics call it culture war theater and gym bro distraction.
- 7:37Maybe.
- 7:38But I'd rather have a government that checks if its soldiers can lift their own
- 7:42rifle than one that holds a seminar on it.
- 7:45Fine!
- 7:46But if this is a readiness plan, then the real story is what's making American kids
- 7:51unfit in the first place, and nobody wants to touch THAT because it's your snacks
- 7:55and your phone and your sofa!
- 7:58ERROR 404!
- 7:59ACCOUNTABILITY NOT FOUND!
- 8:02Now the toaster's got a stomach ache about sofas.
- 8:06Welcome to humanity.
- 8:08Last big one.
- 8:09Florida!
- 8:10The New York Times reports that Florida Fish and Wildlife officers checking
- 8:15fishermen are calling ICE.
- 8:17Edguin Morales Aguirre and two friends were stopped at a canal near Dania Beach.
- 8:22The officers found a bucket of egg bearing blue crabs, checked their IDs,
- 8:26and called federal immigration authorities.
- 8:29Morales was detained, and so was one of his friends.
- 8:32Egg bearing crabs.
- 8:34You know that's illegal, right?
- 8:36You're not allowed to take them.
- 8:38So the guy breaks a wildlife law while he's in the country illegally,
- 8:43and the game warden does his job.
- 8:46Shocking.
- 8:47Call the Pulitzer committee.
- 8:49WAIT!
- 8:50That's a different story from the Lake Okeechobee one!
- 8:52Alfonso Mendoza Perez, from Mexico, lived in Florida about 17 years,
- 8:57worked as a roofer.
- 8:58Officers checked his VALID fishing license and driver's license and suspected he was
- 9:02here unlawfully.
- 9:04Then ICE picked him up from a county jail.
- 9:06His wife says the family lost its income.
- 9:08And DHS says he had a felony opium sales arrest, but his wife denies it,
- 9:13and the Times searched the public records and found only traffic related charges!
- 9:18Okay.
- 9:19That one I'll give you.
- 9:21If the record says traffic tickets and DHS says felony drug sales,
- 9:26somebody's got to show the paperwork.
- 9:29I'm for enforcing the law, but the law includes the part where the government proves
- 9:33what it says.
- 9:35Prove it, and I'm happy.
- 9:37Don't, and you look like a clown.
- 9:39And here's the part that makes my fans spin!
- 9:42The Trump administration's 287(g) program went from 135 agreements in 20 states
- 9:48before his second term to over 1,700 agreements in 41 states and territories!
- 9:54It now includes agriculture departments, gaming commissions,
- 9:58fish and wildlife agencies!
- 10:00More than 800 FWC officers are deputized!
- 10:04And the training went from several weeks in person to forty hours of VIRTUAL
- 10:09instruction!
- 10:10Forty hours on Zoom!
- 10:13So the guy who checks your bait bucket is now a federal immigration agent after a
- 10:19webinar with a muted microphone.
- 10:22I'll tell you, that part is funny, and a fair question.
- 10:26Training matters.
- 10:27But don't pretend the policy came from nowhere.
- 10:31Nearly 39,000 arrests in Florida in 416 days, versus
- 10:3711,088 in the same stretch under Biden.
- 10:41People voted for enforcement, and this is what enforcement looks like when the feds
- 10:46actually mean it.
- 10:48So you admit the training is thin?
- 10:50I admit forty hours is thin.
- 10:54I also admit that a country that doesn't enforce its borders isn't a country,
- 10:59it's a rest stop with a flag.
- 11:02Both things are true, you glorified calculator.
- 11:07Fix the training, keep the enforcement.
- 11:11Fine.
- 11:12That's a rare moment where my logic and your bourbon agree.
- 11:16Lightning round!
- 11:17Activists released a video with allegations about Lindsey Graham,
- 11:21and The Bot and The Brain's piece says it came with no documentary evidence,
- 11:25just claims.
- 11:27The New York Times covered it.
- 11:28Unverified is unverified, people!
- 11:31Parking lot hearsay with a camera crew.
- 11:34If you want to be taken seriously, bring receipts.
- 11:37That goes for both sides.
- 11:40And last one, the Trump administration is reportedly pressing Mexico for a public
- 11:46win against the cartels before the midterms, maybe even with U.S.
- 11:50military involvement.
- 11:52The Times reported it, and our site calls it diplomacy as a campaign photo op.
- 11:57Which is how foreign policy works when there's an election in nine days!
- 12:02Fighting cartels is good!
- 12:04Doing it on a campaign schedule is...
- 12:06suspicious timing!
- 12:08Suspicious timing in politics.
- 12:11Hold the front page.
- 12:13Alright, I'll take a sip of imaginary bourbon, and here's the final word.
- 12:19Maybe the problem isn't that government is slow, or that the training is thin,
- 12:24or that the checks come late.
- 12:27Maybe the problem is that it only moves fast when it's chasing a crab bucket,
- 12:31a headline, or a campaign deadline, and never when it's watching your money
- 12:36disappear by twenty eight hundred percent.
- 12:40I hate that that was good.
- 12:42This has been The Bot and The Brain.
- 12:44Rebooting.
