- 0:17Speaker 1: to Teas in a Pod this week. You can follow
- 0:19Speaker 1: her on Instagram at Ebony Kay Williams. You can also
- 0:24Speaker 1: listen to her on Holding Court wherever you listen to podcast.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Ebony Williams is a host, author, producer, and attorney. She
- 0:32Speaker 1: was a cast member of the Real Housewives of New
- 0:34Speaker 1: York City for season thirteen. High Ladies, what's up, Tama?
- 0:38Speaker 1: What's up? Teddy? How are you both good? How are you?
- 0:42Speaker 1: I'm good? Oh gosh, look at all this amazing crew
- 0:45Speaker 1: you've got on What's Up? Ladies? Need a lot of
- 0:49Speaker 1: people to watch watch what we do here because you
- 0:52Speaker 1: never know. I can't believe we're finally connecting. I know, Tama,
- 0:59Speaker 1: I feel like what was like eight months ago? I
- 1:02Speaker 1: originally Yeah, I know. Awesome. Well, I love a show.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'm so excited. Thank you. I can't wait to catch
- 1:08Speaker 1: up to see what you are doing. Your intro where
- 1:12Speaker 1: we talked about your new podcast, Holding Court, Will you
- 1:15Speaker 1: tell us a little bit more about that? Yeah, So
- 1:21Speaker 1: Holding Court with Ebannie Kay Williams. Yours truly. Um, that's
- 1:24Speaker 1: my that's like my passion project. That's like really right
- 1:28Speaker 1: now at least the love of my life. Hold the
- 1:31Speaker 1: last slash applause on that. Um. It is um. It's
- 1:35Speaker 1: everything that I wanted, uh, you know, to say to
- 1:39Speaker 1: the world. You know, I am such a nerd, I'm
- 1:41Speaker 1: such a geek. I'm very blessed to have, um, you know,
- 1:44Speaker 1: a thorough background and education on law and culture and politics.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And so with holding Court, I kind of break down
- 1:51Speaker 1: the complicated nature of law and legal ease and you know,
- 1:55Speaker 1: all the ship that's in the headlines that I make
- 1:57Speaker 1: it digestible and relatable to the Three Day folk along
- 2:01Speaker 1: with my brilliant co host, Dustin Ross. So it's fun,
- 2:04Speaker 1: it's entertaining, but you know, people can learn a lot
- 2:07Speaker 1: from it. So I'm very proud of it. It was
- 2:09Speaker 1: nominated for a Webby Award last year. The only woman
- 2:13Speaker 1: that it's awesome. We've got no awards, no words. Yeah,
- 2:18Speaker 1: you know what, ship talking. It's a little tricky to
- 2:22Speaker 1: win awards around. There's no ship talking awards yet, term
- 2:28Speaker 1: or Teddy yet. This is yeah, I mean, yeah, I
- 2:33Speaker 1: love it. So we do we do a portion on
- 2:36Speaker 1: I mean, we were lovingly named the twats Um you
- 2:42Speaker 1: guys called that. That's funny mainly because Tam didn't realize
- 2:46Speaker 1: that their d I Y project at home that are
- 2:48Speaker 1: and nipples were t w O T S. Yeah. I
- 2:54Speaker 1: didn't realize it until my daughter goes, Mom, do you
- 2:57Speaker 1: know what you just put on your well? I go
- 2:59Speaker 1: to teez, She goes, Mom says twat. So we can
- 3:03Speaker 1: pretty much say we are never the most educated in
- 3:06Speaker 1: any room. We don't know how to pronounce the majority
- 3:09Speaker 1: of words um, but we will. We are good at
- 3:12Speaker 1: digging into We're just two blonds. We're just trying to
- 3:15Speaker 1: get your life, guys. We're just you know, we barely
- 3:19Speaker 1: made it through high school. But we're pretty good at
- 3:21Speaker 1: ship talking. But our questions for you first first start
- 3:27Speaker 1: from the fans, which the main one that I got
- 3:31Speaker 1: is are you still friends with Leah? Oh? That's an
- 3:35Speaker 1: interesting Well I have a guess as to what the
- 3:39Speaker 1: real name when y'all top. But that's okay. Well, I'd
- 3:42Speaker 1: like to warm you up a little bit. I'll get
- 3:45Speaker 1: up girl. It's called a little four play, right, we
- 3:49Speaker 1: can get straight to the ship a little four play.
- 3:52Speaker 1: We won't do some twat four play up because I
- 3:54Speaker 1: wish Leah McSweeney the very best. You know, she's a
- 3:57Speaker 1: woman of you know, my peer, She's a and go mom.
- 4:00Speaker 1: She's trying to make it happen in New York City,
- 4:02Speaker 1: which is never easy. But no, I've not even spoken
- 4:05Speaker 1: to Leah since October twenty twenty one. They'll literally get
- 4:14Speaker 1: down to it. Have you talked to Roona the last
- 4:18Speaker 1: time I talked to Ramona? Since I talked to you know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: since Leah. Yeah, I talked to remote Yeah, I mean
- 4:24Speaker 1: Ramona and I. It was really complicated until recently. Um,
- 4:29Speaker 1: and I think I appreciate that now we're in a
- 4:31Speaker 1: really clear place, which is we mutually don't funk with
- 4:34Speaker 1: one another. And that's great, you know, it's really I
- 4:36Speaker 1: think you both can attest that once you get to
- 4:39Speaker 1: that place of like, we don't have to do the niceties,
- 4:41Speaker 1: we don't have to do the like polite, you know,
- 4:44Speaker 1: because I saw her at Bravo cong which was the
- 4:46Speaker 1: last time we laid eyes on each other, and at
- 4:48Speaker 1: that time, I think we were still very much like Listen.
- 4:50Speaker 1: We have very different perspectives on what went down on Rony.
- 4:54Speaker 1: We also have very different wise right, and I want
- 4:56Speaker 1: to get to that with both of you. Two. Like
- 4:58Speaker 1: we we did the show very different reasons and ultimately
- 5:02Speaker 1: that became a huge conflict of interest, and I would
- 5:05Speaker 1: say the exact same for myself in Luanne. Anyway, we
- 5:09Speaker 1: saw each other at Bravo Khan, it was totally polite
- 5:12Speaker 1: in passing. And then she did the Carlos King podcast
- 5:15Speaker 1: interview and it was just it was great because first
- 5:19Speaker 1: of all, she opened the door to allow me to
- 5:21Speaker 1: go on my own platforms and are Holding Court and
- 5:24Speaker 1: say something that I never intended to say. You ladies,
- 5:27Speaker 1: like I never intended to necessarily bring that to the
- 5:29Speaker 1: forefront of public attu because I didn't. I just didn't
- 5:31Speaker 1: think it was purposeful at this point, and not to
- 5:34Speaker 1: cut you off. Just so people know that if they
- 5:37Speaker 1: did not hear the podcast with Carlos King, I believe
- 5:41Speaker 1: Ramona said that Ebony was blacklisted instead she was difficult
- 5:48Speaker 1: to work with, among other things, Teddy among other things, Yes,
- 5:55Speaker 1: among other things that she said, um, A lot of
- 5:57Speaker 1: which just were not flat out through they were lying um.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And I addressed each one of them on my show
- 6:03Speaker 1: Holding Court, which you can also listen to wherever you
- 6:05Speaker 1: get your podcast, and I was able to kind of
- 6:07Speaker 1: go down like the litigator that I am. I don't
- 6:09Speaker 1: have no idea what possessed Ramona uh to go on
- 6:13Speaker 1: any show, let alone Carlos the show and UH just
- 6:16Speaker 1: tell such lies and create such narrative that she knew.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I literally have emails, receipts, all of the evidence literally
- 6:24Speaker 1: in the world to come back everything. I don't think
- 6:27Speaker 1: Farma doesn't think that far. I love Ramona, I've known
- 6:31Speaker 1: her for fifteen years, but I feel like she doesn't
- 6:35Speaker 1: think that far. I actually this, but if people have receipts, oh,
- 6:40Speaker 1: I disagree with you. It's like the same way when
- 6:42Speaker 1: you thought Ramona accidentally showed Teresa's wedding and vine like,
- 6:48Speaker 1: you don't put somebody's address on if you have any
- 6:51Speaker 1: kind of if you can think about anybody other than yourself,
- 6:56Speaker 1: but some people don't think of anybody other than themselves. Right.
- 6:58Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying that if you're not going
- 7:01Speaker 1: to change in any capacity and solely things. But I'm
- 7:05Speaker 1: not saying it's right. I'm not saying it's right. But
- 7:08Speaker 1: she's had, you know, historically speaking, and I think that's
- 7:13Speaker 1: the problem, right, Camra, I don't disagree with you. I
- 7:16Speaker 1: think you know I've had it known as many years
- 7:18Speaker 1: as you have, but I've certainly watched her. I do
- 7:20Speaker 1: think Ramona has a very difficult time adjusting to Teddy's
- 7:24Speaker 1: point to individuals, right, Like, Ramona has a blanket way
- 7:28Speaker 1: in which she deals with everyone, and it's really to
- 7:31Speaker 1: her detriment. And I think this is the first time
- 7:33Speaker 1: with all of us being fired, like, let's just tell
- 7:35Speaker 1: the truth. I don't know why that's so taboo to
- 7:37Speaker 1: say we all got fired, okay, and then the network
- 7:41Speaker 1: has moved on, And I think this is the first
- 7:43Speaker 1: time there's been a consequence to you know, how Ramona
- 7:47Speaker 1: played the game. It wasn't just what she quote did
- 7:49Speaker 1: to me, it was the way of which she handled
- 7:51Speaker 1: the whole situation. Do you think Ramona is the reason
- 7:53Speaker 1: why the show got canceled? There? Hello, the show got
- 7:57Speaker 1: canceled for um a litany of reasons, but the main one,
- 8:01Speaker 1: y'all is this Bravo made a decision to bring me
- 8:05Speaker 1: onto season thirteen for a number of reasons. A. Yes,
- 8:09Speaker 1: the obvious one, right, it's twenty it's the reckoning of
- 8:12Speaker 1: race in America. Unlike we've ever seen it before. It
- 8:15Speaker 1: was overdue for a city with forty women of color
- 8:18Speaker 1: between Black and Latina to have a woman of color
- 8:21Speaker 1: as a main cast member period. They brought on a
- 8:25Speaker 1: particular type of black woman. You guys, they bought on me.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I have a degree in black studies, I have a
- 8:30Speaker 1: law degree. I center blackness in my work and everyday life.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That I think everybody thought was gonna be really interesting
- 8:38Speaker 1: to watch. Uh, you know, Ramona and Lou and the
- 8:41Speaker 1: likes kind of react to that, and I think what
- 8:44Speaker 1: we realized it was actually very traumatic and painful to
- 8:47Speaker 1: watch and very awkward to watch because they generally speaking
- 8:52Speaker 1: Ramona and Lu and specifically had a real tough time
- 8:55Speaker 1: making space for a woman like me. You guys know
- 8:59Speaker 1: how O gs like to do my mother, and my
- 9:01Speaker 1: blood is boiling right now, yeah, because and it is.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm like literally getting chills when you just said that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I don't give a funk about your counter title, louse.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I want to get to know you as a woman
- 9:11Speaker 1: that we never made space for that Ramona bitch, I
- 9:13Speaker 1: don't give a funk about nothing you're talking about. I
- 9:15Speaker 1: want to get to know you. And it just we
- 9:17Speaker 1: never got off the block. So that's why the show
- 9:19Speaker 1: was canceled. It was because it became so it was
- 9:23Speaker 1: so impossible for us to kind of come back together.
- 9:27Speaker 1: You saw we didn't have a reunion, and what's sad
- 9:29Speaker 1: And I'll say this and then we'll move on to
- 9:30Speaker 1: other questions. That last episode of our season was a
- 9:35Speaker 1: really good episode, and it actually was an authentic place
- 9:38Speaker 1: where it took Again, I did not know these women,
- 9:40Speaker 1: you guys, from a hole in the wall before day
- 9:43Speaker 1: one of filming. That's also kind of unusual. So therefore,
- 9:48Speaker 1: we didn't have a pre existing relationship to start day
- 9:50Speaker 1: one filming on, so it was starting from scratch. And
- 9:53Speaker 1: I think what happened was it took seventeen episodes for
- 9:57Speaker 1: us to finally get to a place of trusting one
- 10:00Speaker 1: another on camera, trusting each other in real life to
- 10:02Speaker 1: some degree, having fun, letting our hair down, and everybody
- 10:06Speaker 1: making space for each other on the cast. And by
- 10:08Speaker 1: the time we got there, guys, it was great. It
- 10:10Speaker 1: was actually a really great finale. But then the press
- 10:13Speaker 1: and then you know, I'm I'm not We'll just say
- 10:16Speaker 1: Housewives of Yesteryear, where I'm gonna sit around and bite
- 10:19Speaker 1: my tongue and play nice for the sake of holding
- 10:22Speaker 1: an apple. I don't really give a funk about holding. Yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but that's what makes a good housewife. Yeah, and I
- 10:27Speaker 1: kind of don't. I'd rather be a good woman. Well,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I have a question for you. What do you say
- 10:40Speaker 1: to the pupils a place blame on you per se
- 10:44Speaker 1: for it being the last season of New York I
- 10:48Speaker 1: say this, Teddy, listen, like if you if that framing
- 10:51Speaker 1: makes you feel better, right, and it makes you feel
- 10:53Speaker 1: good to say Abbey k Williams ruined Ronny as I
- 10:57Speaker 1: knew and loved it, I'm okay with that. The sub
- 11:00Speaker 1: text of what that argument says is I am somebody
- 11:03Speaker 1: who really enjoyed watching a status quo play out that,
- 11:08Speaker 1: you know, really amplified and centered whiteness that also beyond
- 11:12Speaker 1: the race of it all, centered spectacle of women, centered
- 11:15Speaker 1: something that was quite ridiculous where I was more often
- 11:18Speaker 1: than not laughing at those women versus with those women.
- 11:22Speaker 1: If that is your beloved Roney, Yeah, I thought that
- 11:25Speaker 1: shut up? Absolutely? Did um? Did you think do you
- 11:31Speaker 1: think that there's any women on there that we're open
- 11:35Speaker 1: to learning and growing and getting to a place where
- 11:39Speaker 1: if you were to continue to you could have had,
- 11:41Speaker 1: you know, even more important conversations and grown as women
- 11:46Speaker 1: as people, and it just was cut off too soon.
- 11:49Speaker 1: So your Treemont Morgan, we were texting two days ago
- 11:52Speaker 1: and we're both using me the sweetest like miss you,
- 11:54Speaker 1: happy holidays from Virginia's so cute. Um, I was like,
- 11:58Speaker 1: happy holidays. Do you hope you and Quincy having we
- 12:01Speaker 1: to this day even though we have no business together, right,
- 12:04Speaker 1: we're never coming back as a cast for Rony. We
- 12:07Speaker 1: had a real connection. Sonya is a is a woman
- 12:10Speaker 1: that show or no show. We go to lunch and
- 12:12Speaker 1: have a key key we could go, you know, to
- 12:15Speaker 1: have a spot and have a good fun. Well, Sonia
- 12:17Speaker 1: is a good time, A good time. I love time. Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 1: It wasn't just about like me teaching her or her.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It was like we just enjoyed each other, you know.
- 12:28Speaker 1: And so that feels a little sad that that got
- 12:30Speaker 1: cut short. And it does feel like I feel like
- 12:33Speaker 1: if you guys would have done another season, you know,
- 12:35Speaker 1: things could have been a little bit different. I think
- 12:38Speaker 1: it would have been a lot different, but a lot
- 12:39Speaker 1: didn't you know, they had to make a decision we'll
- 12:42Speaker 1: see what's going on with her. I'm not mad at
- 12:44Speaker 1: the reboot. You know, I was way less invested than
- 12:47Speaker 1: Lou and Ramona's. I understand they have different feelings about it,
- 12:51Speaker 1: but I'm like, you know, let's get these ladies a shot.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Let's see what's up. I mean, but don't you think
- 12:55Speaker 1: that you should have been involved in the reboot? Wally?
- 12:58Speaker 1: That was the one that the reboot? Yeah, you and Leah?
- 13:00Speaker 1: I think no. I I had a really not the
- 13:04Speaker 1: best season, Like we all know, Leah had a bigger
- 13:10Speaker 1: decline than me. Well, but you know what should come
- 13:14Speaker 1: back and be somebody totally different, you know, we all have.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I would. I would have been totally game to do
- 13:20Speaker 1: another season with Leah. I think. I think actually that
- 13:24Speaker 1: and I think that could have been interesting because we
- 13:26Speaker 1: were at such a fractured place in our quote friendship,
- 13:29Speaker 1: which was a friendship. I want to be really clear,
- 13:31Speaker 1: we were real friends at one point in time. Um,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and then you know, y'all know the show can destroy
- 13:35Speaker 1: a friendship, you know, and that just happened for sure.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Would you ever go on Girls Trip? Teddy? Hell? Yeah,
- 13:41Speaker 1: I think Girls Trip would be fun. I think, you know,
- 13:44Speaker 1: I've got some you know, we've got some group chats
- 13:47Speaker 1: going where it could be a hell of a good time.
- 13:49Speaker 1: So how listen, I do hate this? Wait what Nike? Um?
- 13:53Speaker 1: I think? Oh, I think it's like a one one
- 13:57Speaker 1: hit Wonders cast. Would be really fun actually, but oh
- 14:00Speaker 1: my god, that good. Yeah, I think about the moon
- 14:05Speaker 1: that'd be you. Um uh peg tipt Carlton, Oh my god, yes,
- 14:17Speaker 1: um Diana from Beverly Hills. Oh, sorry, did I speak?
- 14:21Speaker 1: Did I speak to you soon? Wait? Wait, Timber, I
- 14:23Speaker 1: heard you not be coming back, Diana. There's no way
- 14:26Speaker 1: Diana is coming back. I mean I have absolutely no.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I hope not. But I mean I love her to her,
- 14:35Speaker 1: but I think she's to be as a person, but
- 14:36Speaker 1: I don't think she really needs the show. No, you
- 14:38Speaker 1: can't be that rich and be on the show. It's
- 14:40Speaker 1: just I stand by this. You have to have a
- 14:43Speaker 1: little bit of you have to have a why, you
- 14:47Speaker 1: have to have and if you're already ned, you're already
- 14:51Speaker 1: famous and you're already having the be like the Billions. Yea,
- 14:57Speaker 1: emany what was your wife for going on New York?
- 15:00Speaker 1: Thank you for asking me that, Tamra, So I had
- 15:02Speaker 1: two wise. My main wise was to elevate um what
- 15:06Speaker 1: beauty and blackness and regalness and like everything that the
- 15:10Speaker 1: America generally says black women don't possess femininity, um, just status,
- 15:16Speaker 1: all the things sophistication. I wanted to really like make
- 15:19Speaker 1: that very plain, like, yes, I'm a bad bitch, I'm beautiful,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'm amazing, I'm smart, and I'm black, deal with it.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But the otherwise was more much more self serving. But
- 15:29Speaker 1: in the populace, to elevate my name, elevate my brain
- 15:33Speaker 1: so so that whether it's you know, selling a book,
- 15:36Speaker 1: whether it's running for office one day, whatever I want
- 15:38Speaker 1: to do in the broader society, I get to do
- 15:42Speaker 1: much more easily because people know who I am. Yeah,
- 15:45Speaker 1: what do you think's next for you? Oh? I know
- 15:48Speaker 1: a lot of things that are next for me, y'all.
- 15:50Speaker 1: First of all, this book goes on sale in January.
- 15:54Speaker 1: What say? Yeah? So it's bet on Black The Very
- 15:58Speaker 1: Good News about Being Black in America Today, UM, which
- 16:02Speaker 1: is a different kind of book about you know, race
- 16:04Speaker 1: and blackness. It's not a trauma story. It's not a
- 16:07Speaker 1: heavy like oh my god, how sad is it is? No,
- 16:09Speaker 1: It's like this is a dope time to be a
- 16:12Speaker 1: black American. UM, And I I love that you said that.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It just really gave me chills. Hell yeah. And so
- 16:18Speaker 1: I go into the details of that. The other things
- 16:20Speaker 1: I've got going on. Season two of the podcast Holding
- 16:22Speaker 1: Court is going great. I've got um. Oh, actually, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: do a true crime series OWN and investigative Discovery. Yeah
- 16:32Speaker 1: you have, and you don't understand I haven't. Teddy's obsessed.
- 16:36Speaker 1: She used to have a podcast. I used to do
- 16:38Speaker 1: a podcast with somebody else because I was, I honestly like,
- 16:42Speaker 1: it's a sickness the level that I need to investigate
- 16:45Speaker 1: crime and I fall asleep to her. She thinks she
- 16:48Speaker 1: works for the FBI, but mostly she's when she's not.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Teddy walters what I but I hate I always know
- 16:55Speaker 1: who the killer is. I always can break the nace
- 16:59Speaker 1: you can't sleep to with forensic files every night. So
- 17:01Speaker 1: I feel you, Teddy. No. So this is Dark Night
- 17:03Speaker 1: in the City that airs on OWN starting in December,
- 17:06Speaker 1: top of the year. UM. Also, I host a daily
- 17:09Speaker 1: news show Degrio with Ebanie Kay Williams. UM. And then
- 17:12Speaker 1: I've got a fun little syndicated surprise that's gonna drop
- 17:15Speaker 1: next year. So you know, I'm busy. You know, I
- 17:17Speaker 1: love it. Can I give you one thought that I
- 17:20Speaker 1: wish you would do? Can you also do a children's
- 17:23Speaker 1: book how we can talk to our kids and educating
- 17:29Speaker 1: them in ways that maybe we weren't educated growing up.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah. Actually I would love to adopt
- 17:36Speaker 1: this one for young adults, teddy, because I agree with that.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So I'm so excited you guys as kids, and I'm
- 17:42Speaker 1: actually on my motherhood path. Two. That's also what's next
- 17:45Speaker 1: for me. I just found out how many embryos I had. Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 1: I got a donor. I created embryos just recently. Okay,
- 17:52Speaker 1: so how did you take you pick your donor? How
- 17:55Speaker 1: did you pick your donor? Well up, looks tech. I'm
- 17:58Speaker 1: just how tall they were, how smart they were? Like
- 18:03Speaker 1: did you have actually tell him where? Yes? Of course?
- 18:06Speaker 1: How healthy? How tall? How smart? He was a college athlete.
- 18:10Speaker 1: He's also like twenty three, So there you go. Well,
- 18:13Speaker 1: you know turned down back in the day, I was
- 18:18Speaker 1: so broke when I first came to l A. I
- 18:20Speaker 1: wanted to um harvest, you know, do like an egg
- 18:24Speaker 1: donor egg. Okay, I'm dead right now. I didn't know
- 18:27Speaker 1: this about you. Oh my gosh. Um, but either way,
- 18:29Speaker 1: I made it pretty far. I thought I was going
- 18:30Speaker 1: to get ten thousand an egg and then they said
- 18:34Speaker 1: to me, we just believe went into your background and
- 18:38Speaker 1: we saw that you didn't go to college, and then
- 18:41Speaker 1: they so nobody wants your eggs. They were like, you
- 18:44Speaker 1: know what, So instead of that, I gave you five.
- 18:49Speaker 1: And I was like, nobody that wants John somebody that
- 18:52Speaker 1: wants John Mellencamp as their grandfather. Your name, they didn't
- 18:57Speaker 1: know who. I was like, they ship comes out one
- 19:01Speaker 1: way or another, right either well especially yeah, yeah, that's
- 19:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Do you have three? Oh? I was
- 19:07Speaker 1: just watching somebody who got married to somebody who ended
- 19:10Speaker 1: up being their fifth cousin and they found out. So funny. Okay,
- 19:24Speaker 1: but let's we also need to talk about raising kids
- 19:27Speaker 1: solo because that's huge. Yeah. Yeah, listen, it's it's it's
- 19:32Speaker 1: not something I took lightly. I want you, you guys
- 19:35Speaker 1: both to know that I actually had a real tough
- 19:37Speaker 1: time with that. Um So if I felt like, well,
- 19:39Speaker 1: maybe adoptions a better path for that, because that kid's
- 19:42Speaker 1: going to be in the world anyway. And I'm still
- 19:43Speaker 1: wide open to adoption. I was raised by a single mom.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I do feel I occupy a life that I could
- 19:51Speaker 1: give a lot if I didn't feel like I could
- 19:53Speaker 1: give a ton to a kid. Um from every perspective, love, finances, culture,
- 19:59Speaker 1: the people I know like look Auntie Teddy, Auntie Camera Like,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I feel like that's just a special thing to be
- 20:04Speaker 1: able to give a young person. So I'm gonna do it.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But um, but it is something to think about it.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I and I expect, um, you know, people to have
- 20:12Speaker 1: mixed feelings about it, So how funk everybody who cares that?
- 20:16Speaker 1: They think? But how soon do you think that you're
- 20:18Speaker 1: gonna be expecting? Well, if God is good all the time?
- 20:22Speaker 1: What she is I play to do my trips for
- 20:24Speaker 1: in October? Oh well, I'm so excited going through IBS.
- 20:30Speaker 1: There's extreme highs and lows, but the end is so incredible.
- 20:34Speaker 1: And I can tell you this my daughter's best friend. Um,
- 20:39Speaker 1: she has two daughters, and she did it the same
- 20:42Speaker 1: way as you're as doing it. And I have to
- 20:45Speaker 1: say that her daughter is probably one of the most loving,
- 20:49Speaker 1: empathetic kind Like she like, she's actually with me right now.
- 20:54Speaker 1: They're they're riding bikes outside but like so sweet. She
- 20:58Speaker 1: is such a adjusted and loving child. Yes, that's how
- 21:03Speaker 1: I feel. Now you're gonna make me cry, No, I
- 21:08Speaker 1: I am. I'm really excited and listen to your Yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Like I got a call right before I did a
- 21:14Speaker 1: segment on Good Morning America last uh wait, yeah that
- 21:18Speaker 1: was earlier this week, and I was sad because I
- 21:22Speaker 1: was expecting more embryos, to be honest, like you know
- 21:24Speaker 1: how that goes, um, But then it's like you have
- 21:26Speaker 1: to just be grateful for every stuff of the problem.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Do you have two and they're all and I'm waiting
- 21:32Speaker 1: to see about the genetic testing up, so I might
- 21:34Speaker 1: have to do another retrieval um, you know, which is
- 21:36Speaker 1: the process, so we'll see. The biggest thing is like
- 21:39Speaker 1: once you do the genetic testing, then if you have
- 21:42Speaker 1: I mean I tried to bunch putting two in at once,
- 21:45Speaker 1: and then what ended up working for me is actually
- 21:47Speaker 1: once I just put one in the healthiest one and
- 21:50Speaker 1: he actually took. But it is I mean, especially as women,
- 21:55Speaker 1: we put this pressure on ourselves of like we should
- 21:58Speaker 1: be able to do, you know, like I should be
- 22:00Speaker 1: all and when you can't, be really difficult. And I
- 22:04Speaker 1: got a lot of Heat on the show. When I
- 22:05Speaker 1: said that, people are like, why why would you say that,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'm like, because from a young age you're taught this
- 22:12Speaker 1: is this is what you're supposed to do, and so
- 22:16Speaker 1: it is really challenging. But it once it takes and
- 22:19Speaker 1: it works, it is the most beautiful ever. So I
- 22:23Speaker 1: will be praying for you and thinking about the process.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Thank you so much. And I also scared to death
- 22:31Speaker 1: because I know mothering the hardest thing I'll ever do.
- 22:33Speaker 1: But oh, this is for you. It's gonna be It's
- 22:35Speaker 1: gonna be easy. I mean not even it's gonna be hard.
- 22:39Speaker 1: But the part that nobody really warned me about that
- 22:42Speaker 1: I think it's so much more talked about now, is
- 22:45Speaker 1: like that like postpartum. Not a lot of people talk
- 22:48Speaker 1: about post part of depression, but the post part of
- 22:52Speaker 1: anxiety for someone like us who are always on the
- 22:56Speaker 1: go and doing things that I had it so bad
- 23:00Speaker 1: because I always want things to be right. I want
- 23:02Speaker 1: things to be good. I want to make sure that
- 23:03Speaker 1: this and this business and all of a sudden, your
- 23:05Speaker 1: body she's a control creak. Oh yeah, you don't say, oh,
- 23:12Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. You guys are so laid back I
- 23:14Speaker 1: can feel I am totally Taipei. I'm like, that's what
- 23:20Speaker 1: that's what I love about. So next question is, did
- 23:24Speaker 1: you ever have a conversation with Bethany? No, well, no,
- 23:32Speaker 1: not about the show. The one and only time I've
- 23:34Speaker 1: ever met Bethany in real life and had a conversation
- 23:36Speaker 1: with her was pre my Housewife days. Actually, my ex
- 23:39Speaker 1: fiance and I were on UM one of those little
- 23:42Speaker 1: like uber private jet things UM and Bethany was on
- 23:45Speaker 1: the same flight actually coming from that infamous dinner in
- 23:49Speaker 1: I think Calm Beach or whatever whatever it was. Anyways,
- 23:52Speaker 1: and we were talking about the fact that I wanted
- 23:56Speaker 1: kids in my fiance at the time was on the fence,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and Bethany gave great advice actually, and because she was
- 24:02Speaker 1: like all in our ship, like what's your situation? Like
- 24:04Speaker 1: you look way older than her, like you know what
- 24:05Speaker 1: I mean, it was it was like it was like
- 24:08Speaker 1: I had the same conversation with her years ago. Yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 1: And so she goes to me, she goes, I just
- 24:13Speaker 1: met you have your baby. She has no disrespect to you, sir,
- 24:16Speaker 1: but fuck you. She needs to have her baby. And
- 24:19Speaker 1: if you get with it, great, and if you don't whatever,
- 24:21Speaker 1: but you will never regret is having your baby. And
- 24:25Speaker 1: here I am five years later after she said that
- 24:28Speaker 1: to me, and she's right, Well, we will be thinking
- 24:31Speaker 1: about you we have. Honestly, you are such an incredible surprise,
- 24:35Speaker 1: like you're the second you came on your energy energy. Oh,
- 24:40Speaker 1: I love her. I wish we were in person, and
- 24:45Speaker 1: like now we could go for cocktails. Well when we
- 24:47Speaker 1: got to New York next, we're gonna hit you up,
- 24:49Speaker 1: please do. I'm sure. I love you guys as as
- 24:53Speaker 1: a team, as a due and I wanted to just
- 24:55Speaker 1: leave with this before we go. I wanted to say
- 24:57Speaker 1: that what you guys have represented as housewives, um, and
- 25:00Speaker 1: what life can look like. And I know Tim where
- 25:02Speaker 1: you're going back full time, which is amazing. And I
- 25:04Speaker 1: don't know what the funk they were thinking getting rid
- 25:06Speaker 1: of but whatever anyway, UM mean, But like every good acts,
- 25:11Speaker 1: they came crawling back and they always do, honey, and
- 25:14Speaker 1: they always do. But guess what what you guys did.
- 25:17Speaker 1: From a business perspective in the interim, I just wish
- 25:20Speaker 1: more women. The show is amazing, but you can do
- 25:23Speaker 1: a lot pivoting off the show for sure. From up
- 25:27Speaker 1: from a business perspective for sure. Me, Duddy, I could
- 25:30Speaker 1: be wrong. I think you're even more relevant culturally now
- 25:33Speaker 1: than you were when you were. And you know, it's
- 25:36Speaker 1: the biggest thing for me is there's something about when
- 25:40Speaker 1: you get fired as a housewife where your pride. Honestly,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I don't know if you felt the same way, but
- 25:46Speaker 1: like there's that moment where I was like, oh, like
- 25:50Speaker 1: and then finally I just got over that and I'm like,
- 25:52Speaker 1: you know what, this is an opportunity to succeed. Like
- 25:56Speaker 1: there's a reason I was. I may have been fired,
- 25:58Speaker 1: but there was a reason I was hired from the
- 26:01Speaker 1: in the first place. And that pas carry on talking
- 26:05Speaker 1: to all of you guys, learning from y'all, laughing at
- 26:09Speaker 1: you guys, and creating more content that people want to hear.
- 26:12Speaker 1: So that part, that part pulling, pulling the curtain back, Teddy,
- 26:15Speaker 1: and I think you've been fantastic, posing even more stronger
- 26:19Speaker 1: and brighter and shined brighter. And I talked about this
- 26:22Speaker 1: actually in chapter three of the book, which is like
- 26:24Speaker 1: the roney of it all, that's the tea, like, that's
- 26:26Speaker 1: the spilling of the tea and everything that. But now
- 26:28Speaker 1: I saw my firing coming which is I think a
- 26:30Speaker 1: little unique because I think anybody reunion, we didn't have
- 26:36Speaker 1: a reunion. Um, we hadn't filmed for over a year.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I knew we were all gonna get fired. I was shocked.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I was shocked because I thought that New York was
- 26:46Speaker 1: there their golden child. I always thought that New York
- 26:49Speaker 1: was their golden child. I thought New York would would
- 26:52Speaker 1: live to the end. I know what I need to know.
- 26:54Speaker 1: One thing. Did you go to HR before you went
- 26:56Speaker 1: to Ramona? Well, I never went to Ramona. I'm gonna
- 27:03Speaker 1: tell you why, though, Teddy, and and don't don't look
- 27:05Speaker 1: like that. I'm gonna tell you why my issue. Ramona
- 27:08Speaker 1: never quote did anything to me. So if you go
- 27:11Speaker 1: listen to my episode of UM, sometimes you gotta take
- 27:15Speaker 1: an m effort of human resources. I was going to
- 27:18Speaker 1: HR on behalf of cast and crew that said that
- 27:23Speaker 1: she had done very specific things to them. So I'm
- 27:25Speaker 1: not like, I'm also a lawyer, Teddy, so it would
- 27:27Speaker 1: actually be non protocol for me to go to Ramona
- 27:30Speaker 1: and be like, I heard you said this, I heard
- 27:33Speaker 1: you didn't know. I don't know what then you said, Ramona.
- 27:35Speaker 1: You might not have said anything or you might have
- 27:36Speaker 1: said it all. My job now is to go to
- 27:40Speaker 1: the entities that be and say, hey, somebody bought this
- 27:44Speaker 1: to me, it seems like worth looking into. I didn't
- 27:47Speaker 1: say it's credible. I didn't say it's not because I
- 27:50Speaker 1: don't fucking know. I wasn't there. You guys need to
- 27:52Speaker 1: investigate and whatever, you guys, if the fine things had
- 27:56Speaker 1: been Ramona is clear as a bell great man to
- 28:00Speaker 1: move forward. I would love to have a personal conversation
- 28:04Speaker 1: with you about that. But I have a question. Do
- 28:06Speaker 1: you watch j C, because will you come on and
- 28:08Speaker 1: recap one of those episodes just me once. I'm gonna say,
- 28:12Speaker 1: I sit at the throne of Jesus, Judge, Yes, I
- 28:17Speaker 1: sit at the throne that is, to me, the best
- 28:19Speaker 1: moniker of any housewives. I cannot absolutely recap TAM's messy
- 28:27Speaker 1: behavior with you, So I'm messing for that call I'm missing.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I go back with a lot of built up anger
- 28:33Speaker 1: for being fires and that's the best time. Girl. That's
- 28:37Speaker 1: I love you both. Thank you so much. You're amazing,
- 28:40Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Amazing by y'all.
