- 3:07Speaker 1: So I am so honored in thrill to have Missus
- 3:12Speaker 1: Johnson with this tonight and she's gonna talk about her
- 3:15Speaker 1: journey of being a children's author and just being an
- 3:19Speaker 1: author period. So come on up, Missus Johnson.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'm doing How are you doing?
- 3:30Speaker 1: I am great? How are you?
- 3:33Speaker 2: I am doing well?
- 3:35Speaker 1: All right, So first welcome, Now tell us a little
- 3:42Speaker 1: bit about yourself.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Okay, well, wow, it's I started actually our I love
- 3:51Speaker 5: to read. Not sure I know we were we've been
- 3:55Speaker 5: friends for a while, but yeah, I love to read.
- 3:59Speaker 5: And then when I got on Facebook and Amazon. I
- 4:02Speaker 5: found Amazon, I put in At the time my favorite
- 4:09Speaker 5: genre was just uh, you know, for like fantasy, paranormal
- 4:15Speaker 5: and stuff like that. But so I put in fantasy
- 4:17Speaker 5: paranormal by black women authors, and yeah, and I've been
- 4:22Speaker 5: loving to read since I was young, young, but that
- 4:25Speaker 5: that was that was favorite. And then what I did
- 4:29Speaker 5: was I just started. Amazon took me on a world win,
- 4:36Speaker 5: took me to that. It also took me to black women,
- 4:39Speaker 5: multicultural authors who write about you know, different black women
- 4:43Speaker 5: with different relationships and I love that. So and I
- 4:46Speaker 5: got a whole bunch of friends on Facebook. I met
- 4:48Speaker 5: a whole bunch of author friends on Facebook for that.
- 4:51Speaker 5: And then I started to promote and it was just
- 4:55Speaker 5: you know, to win Amazon stuff, you know, or prizes.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And then I'm like, huh, is there a market for this?
- 5:02Speaker 2: And then I got saw some promoters and I'm like,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I can do this. This is easy. Well for me,
- 5:08Speaker 2: it was easy.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Plus I was uh working like nights in the hospital,
- 5:13Speaker 5: so when it was slow, boom, you know.
- 5:15Speaker 2: So that's that's how I got into all of that.
- 5:19Speaker 5: And then I started having a podcast myself.
- 5:23Speaker 2: From some some people I met on Facebook. We were
- 5:26Speaker 2: we were talking these business and I had that for
- 5:29Speaker 2: a little bit. I think that's where I met you.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yes, you were, dude you So that was good and I.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Started to take a change, you know, change of everything.
- 5:48Speaker 5: And you know, my very close friend of mine and
- 5:51Speaker 5: she's a sister, we're like sisters. I call her my
- 5:54Speaker 5: spiritual sister now because our relationship we just grew from
- 5:58Speaker 5: friends to something deep.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And when I was at the job I was at.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I was I was moving to a lateral.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Position and I was kind of bummed because I didn't
- 6:10Speaker 5: do too well in that first position. And we were
- 6:13Speaker 5: talking about that and then she you know, she's a prophet,
- 6:17Speaker 5: prophet as I should say, and she said, do you
- 6:20Speaker 5: like you know cats or do you like.
- 6:24Speaker 2: For and this is for my children's book, and she
- 6:26Speaker 2: said do you like cats?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Like?
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, like cats.
- 6:29Speaker 5: I didn't know how she knew that, because I never
- 6:30Speaker 5: told her that. And then she she said, I see
- 6:33Speaker 5: you writing a children's book. And I see you writing
- 6:39Speaker 5: you know, it's going to be like a series or something.
- 6:42Speaker 5: And I'm like, uh, And I didn't even think of that.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I looked at kind of looked at it.
- 6:46Speaker 5: I'm like, okay, how to okay, you know, and so
- 6:51Speaker 5: we hung up. In a day later, I started writing.
- 6:54Speaker 5: And then I already knew my illustrator because he's an
- 6:58Speaker 5: author himself, and I met him when I was in
- 7:03Speaker 5: a black like author of color group for you know,
- 7:06Speaker 5: fantasy and stuff like that, and I knew he did
- 7:10Speaker 5: he did uh uh, he did the creative, the drawings
- 7:17Speaker 5: and it's not called drawings, but he knew he was illustrator,
- 7:19Speaker 5: see I can't do. So that night when I started
- 7:25Speaker 5: talking about that, excuse me to him and I asked
- 7:29Speaker 5: sim all about it, and then I'm like, okay, well
- 7:31Speaker 5: are you open because I've seen his work, so I'm
- 7:36Speaker 5: like okay.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And that's how that started. So that was, you know,
- 7:41Speaker 2: having a children's book was something new.
- 7:45Speaker 5: I just jumped into that, not jump in, but I
- 7:49Speaker 5: just came into it. And and uh, nave shout out
- 7:53Speaker 5: to Navi. He's my illustrator.
- 7:55Speaker 2: He just he he's been.
- 7:57Speaker 5: He gave me inside, he saw my vision, and he's
- 8:00Speaker 5: done like other projects for me, so I knew he
- 8:03Speaker 5: was connected with me.
- 8:05Speaker 2: So that's how that started. As far as my children's book.
- 8:09Speaker 1: So we're going to come back to that illustrator because
- 8:12Speaker 1: I really don't think that we give them enough credit
- 8:17Speaker 1: when it comes to these children's books. How does it
- 8:21Speaker 1: feel to be an African American author of a children's book?
- 8:27Speaker 1: So let me tell you a little bit of background.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I work at a library. Okay, when my son was young,
- 8:34Speaker 1: my son is now twenty one. There was no offense everyone,
- 8:39Speaker 1: but there was the white kid and the dog. Okay,
- 8:44Speaker 1: always the little white little boy or the White Little
- 8:46Speaker 1: Girl and the Dog, but there were hardly any books
- 8:49Speaker 1: of color. Now that I have my nine year old daughter,
- 8:54Speaker 1: I can't stop looking at them. They are all over
- 8:57Speaker 1: the place, and I'm so happy for the diversity. So
- 9:01Speaker 1: how do you feel being a part of that change.
- 9:04Speaker 5: It's it's I feel great. I'm glad I can help
- 9:08Speaker 5: with that. It's surreal. It's just, you know, I'm one
- 9:15Speaker 5: of them that would do would say that too. You know, Hey,
- 9:21Speaker 5: I need color, you know, I want my you know,
- 9:25Speaker 5: I want you know, characters that are related to children
- 9:28Speaker 5: can relate to all children can relate, you know.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So I'm glad I I you know, I I never thought.
- 9:35Speaker 5: I would be in but I would be one of
- 9:38Speaker 5: the people be like, okay, well I need any African
- 9:41Speaker 5: American authors, which one?
- 9:44Speaker 4: You know?
- 9:45Speaker 2: So it was so I'm glad I can be a
- 9:47Speaker 2: part of that, and I'm glad I can reach people.
- 9:51Speaker 5: And I'm glad I'm going to be able to reach
- 9:53Speaker 5: more people because it's important.
- 9:56Speaker 2: It's definitely important. And even me writing this book, it
- 10:02Speaker 2: was like.
- 10:05Speaker 5: I wanted to make sure it was one like simple
- 10:09Speaker 5: in a form like I'm not deep, you know, but
- 10:12Speaker 5: I'm also you know, symbolically representing the black family, symbolically representing.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Black children with imaginations that are deep, that can be deep,
- 10:29Speaker 2: and then use that to help the family or help
- 10:32Speaker 2: their community.
- 10:33Speaker 5: I wanted to symbolically like that. And I don't even
- 10:35Speaker 5: know if I expressed that when I was writing. I
- 10:37Speaker 5: just said, hey, look, I'm doing this.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 10:40Speaker 5: So, and I wanted to make sure it was family
- 10:43Speaker 5: so everyone can read it and it's not you know
- 10:46Speaker 5: what I'm saying. They don't have to worry about Oh
- 10:49Speaker 5: should I what is this topic about?
- 10:52Speaker 3: You know? So?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Yeah, the book banning totally totally understand it. Yeah, I don't.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I don't believe in book pending. I call it conversation starters. Right,
- 11:07Speaker 1: I love it. If your book has that big question mark,
- 11:11Speaker 1: soon someone's face, you've got a whole new fan for life.
- 11:16Speaker 1: If there, you're gonna dig and go into that rabbit
- 11:19Speaker 1: hole until you figure everything out. So tell us a
- 11:23Speaker 1: little bit about your children's book series.
- 11:25Speaker 5: Well, it's this is the book one a guitar and
- 11:28Speaker 5: sprinkles back your adventure. It's about a little girl that
- 11:31Speaker 5: has an imagination that you know, with her cat, her kitten,
- 11:35Speaker 5: sprinkles and it's gonna be it's gonna be deep like that,
- 11:41Speaker 5: just her imagination. She's gonna meet new friends.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I'm trying not to give away difference in the series.
- 11:45Speaker 2: She's gonna meet new friends.
- 11:47Speaker 5: The cat's gonna meet new friends, and they're all gonna
- 11:51Speaker 5: be it's all gonna be, you know, great. And I'm
- 11:56Speaker 5: even thinking about having a take a take off after
- 11:59Speaker 5: that that series from like two of the friends that
- 12:02Speaker 5: they meet.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So I have all these ideas in my head.
- 12:05Speaker 5: So it's it's good, it's it's you know, it's interesting
- 12:10Speaker 5: because I never thought i'd be writing a children's book,
- 12:15Speaker 5: you know, I've never even imagined until it was given
- 12:19Speaker 5: to me.
- 12:20Speaker 1: So yeah, so your illustrator, you say his name is
- 12:25Speaker 1: nob Navi.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Navi, Yes, that is his name. He is on Facebook.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I'll send you the the his Facebook name.
- 12:37Speaker 5: He is great. I've known him for years and he's
- 12:43Speaker 5: he captures.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He helped me too. Uh, he is.
- 12:49Speaker 5: He has he if you can get it, because I
- 12:51Speaker 5: know he's very busy with his books and everything going
- 12:54Speaker 5: on he's doing. But he is great. He is very
- 13:00Speaker 5: and he's great at what he's done. He's great at
- 13:03Speaker 5: helping you know, authors see their vision or any type
- 13:08Speaker 5: of you know, any type of vision that you have
- 13:13Speaker 5: for him, he's going to do that. He's going to
- 13:15Speaker 5: try and do that and it and one thing about
- 13:18Speaker 5: I liked what he did is you want to match
- 13:20Speaker 5: your illustrator with you. It's important that you guys work
- 13:24Speaker 5: together so he can see he or she can see
- 13:27Speaker 5: your vision. If they can't, you need to go to
- 13:30Speaker 5: somebody who can. So you know, if he didn't see
- 13:33Speaker 5: my vision, I would you know what I'm saying, I
- 13:35Speaker 5: would have gone to somebody else. I would you know,
- 13:36Speaker 5: obviously made him say, you know, still recommended him. But
- 13:40Speaker 5: you know, he's very honest like that, He's very he
- 13:43Speaker 5: wants to help, you know, And.
- 13:45Speaker 1: That's exactly what I was going to ask you, Like,
- 13:48Speaker 1: how how was the relationship between you and your illustrator?
- 13:54Speaker 1: So thank you. I would think that it would be
- 13:58Speaker 1: very important to have a great relationship with them.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yes, yes, you can, you know, you just have to.
- 14:06Speaker 5: You know, that's important. If you guys aren't seeing eye
- 14:10Speaker 5: to eye, then you know, don't I would go move
- 14:16Speaker 5: on to another illustrator. You know what I'm saying, Uh,
- 14:20Speaker 5: definitely you have to.
- 14:23Speaker 2: They have to.
- 14:23Speaker 5: You have to see eye to eye to them. You
- 14:25Speaker 5: have to have a little bit of a connection. You
- 14:27Speaker 5: cannot you know, you can't go to some like be like,
- 14:32Speaker 5: oh hey, how you doing.
- 14:34Speaker 2: This is what I need. I'll get back to you
- 14:36Speaker 2: some other times.
- 14:36Speaker 5: You know, this is something where this is a business
- 14:40Speaker 5: relationship where you guys have to see eye to eye
- 14:43Speaker 5: about this. This isn't a this isn't a short term
- 14:47Speaker 5: Well in that sense, you don't want a short term thing,
- 14:51Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying.
- 14:52Speaker 2: You want to have that connection. So you guys are
- 14:55Speaker 2: both on the same page.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So which was harder the character, the cover or the illustrations?
- 15:08Speaker 1: Which one racked to your nerves?
- 15:13Speaker 2: Honestly, that wasn't those were those came flowed smoothly. Really,
- 15:22Speaker 2: I will tell you something.
- 15:23Speaker 5: I will be totally transparent because I want other authors
- 15:27Speaker 5: and to know this. Getting it upgraded on Ingram Spark was.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Oh little.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I had to get once again and and you know,
- 15:38Speaker 5: Navi shout out to Navi, he's great.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I had to get Navy to do it for me.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I had to get my publisher for or I.
- 15:45Speaker 5: First I asked my publisher for my other for my
- 15:48Speaker 5: devotional to see if he could do it with for me,
- 15:50Speaker 5: because it was like you had to write a you
- 15:53Speaker 5: had to watch a YouTube on how to upgrade ingram
- 15:57Speaker 5: sparks and I'm like how to up uploaded on there?
- 16:01Speaker 2: And I'm like, I do not have time for that,
- 16:04Speaker 2: you know, I'm busy. I'm like, nab, I'll pay you, just.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Just do it. Yeah, yeah, go ahead, No, no, no,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I was gonna ask, so you have a publisher, do
- 16:18Speaker 1: you felt that that was easy a good fit for
- 16:21Speaker 1: you or did you ever look to the world of
- 16:25Speaker 1: self publishing?
- 16:26Speaker 2: So for me, this is just me.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I'm not a d I wire on things like that.
- 16:36Speaker 5: When I even I met my publisher for my my
- 16:39Speaker 5: devotional on Facebook, you know, and he's he's been doing
- 16:45Speaker 5: and he's been great.
- 16:47Speaker 2: But I am not.
- 16:48Speaker 5: I know the process and I as you know, I've
- 16:51Speaker 5: interviewed other office authors and they told us the process.
- 16:55Speaker 5: And if I would have had if I would have
- 17:00Speaker 5: probably had another Uh. If I was in a different place,
- 17:04Speaker 5: I may be able to do a self publishing. But
- 17:07Speaker 5: that's just anything that's gonna take that much time, which
- 17:11Speaker 5: is good, that's good. I'd rather have like professional do it,
- 17:15Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying shout out to all those
- 17:18Speaker 5: authors that self published, because let me tell you, you
- 17:22Speaker 5: guys are great.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Just me.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I know I'm going to get frustrated, you know, and
- 17:30Speaker 2: it'd be like one little, small, little thing, and then
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'll just get frustrated and give up. So I said,
- 17:36Speaker 2: let me go a different way.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Let me go to a small publishing company or a
- 17:41Speaker 5: indie publishing company and take it from there.
- 17:44Speaker 1: You know, understandable, understandable. So let's step into the world
- 17:50Speaker 1: of promoting. Do you feel that it is hard to
- 17:55Speaker 1: find an audience for your book or is it just
- 17:59Speaker 1: as easy as in your other books have you written?
- 18:03Speaker 2: No, it is hard. I need my and even though
- 18:07Speaker 2: I'm a promoter. You're gonna laugh at this.
- 18:09Speaker 5: I have not promoted my I have someone promoting my books,
- 18:12Speaker 5: but I haven't tooken the time to really market it
- 18:15Speaker 5: really well. I need to step it up, step up
- 18:18Speaker 5: my marketing game.
- 18:19Speaker 2: It is very hard.
- 18:20Speaker 5: That's a whole new you know, getting a published being
- 18:24Speaker 5: a published author. You need to done publish your your
- 18:28Speaker 5: books and then you have to market. That's two jobs
- 18:31Speaker 5: you're doing, and that is hard.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I'm still balancing my full time job, you know. I do.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Even though my son is is in his twenties, I'm
- 18:42Speaker 5: still helping him a lot, you know, I'm still doing
- 18:45Speaker 5: all this other stuff, so marketing kind of takes a
- 18:48Speaker 5: back seat, which I need to step up my game.
- 18:50Speaker 1: With that understandable. So what would be your dream for
- 18:58Speaker 1: your book?
- 19:00Speaker 5: My dream, and I say this, is to reach as
- 19:04Speaker 5: many children of any family as the stars in the sky.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I want to reach them, not just you know, don't
- 19:12Speaker 2: get me wrong.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Making a profit is great, but I want children to
- 19:18Speaker 5: be able to read this, understand it, and be excited.
- 19:21Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. I like the I like
- 19:23Speaker 2: them smiling.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yes, you know, yes, that that makes a lot of sense,
- 19:29Speaker 1: a lot of sense. So who would be your age
- 19:34Speaker 1: for your book?
- 19:35Speaker 6: Are you.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Elementary school, middle grade or Okay, let me rechange that
- 19:44Speaker 1: because there's another group I keep forgetting. Are you elementary school, tweens,
- 19:51Speaker 1: middle grade or high Now from the little bit that
- 19:55Speaker 1: I saw, I thought.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Tween in my two all yeah, it's seven and under.
- 20:02Speaker 2: It's you know, yes, seven and under.
- 20:05Speaker 5: A few books on a few words on a page each,
- 20:08Speaker 5: the picture, the book, the story, the illustrator tells the story,
- 20:13Speaker 5: the illustration, excuse me. The illustration tells the story, well
- 20:19Speaker 5: tells the majority of the story. Uh, that's that's who
- 20:23Speaker 5: I'm reaching. Seven and under that elementary kindergarten. So from
- 20:30Speaker 5: you know, so basically from toddler up to you know,
- 20:33Speaker 5: elementary school.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I believe that is that all that is?
- 20:37Speaker 6: You know.
- 20:39Speaker 1: The story time eight?
- 20:41Speaker 5: Yes, the storytell of age and anyone can yeah, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 5: anyone can read it and anyone you know, that's fine.
- 20:48Speaker 2: But that's who I'm that's the target audience.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Have you ever had the opportunity to read your book
- 20:55Speaker 1: to a group of students?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Not as of yet.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I got to work, So we're gonna take a break
- 21:05Speaker 1: real quick. If we're gonna come back and we get
- 21:07Speaker 1: to have some fun questions, you guys, make sure you
- 21:11Speaker 1: come back. And also you might want to check the
- 21:14Speaker 1: blall this week of sc Book Gallson ted Friends because
- 21:18Speaker 1: you may have an opportunity to get your ferry on copy.
- 21:22Speaker 1: But remember you gotta be on Scbookgalsandfriends dot com to
- 21:27Speaker 1: win that copy. So we're gonna take a break and

- 22:50Speaker 1: Welcome back, you guys. So this is my fun time.
- 22:56Speaker 1: All of my authors, I give them a set of questions,
- 22:58Speaker 1: and these questions are way we used to engate. But
- 23:02Speaker 1: the second half I loved my authors to think off
- 23:04Speaker 1: the top of their heads. So my question to you
- 23:09Speaker 1: would be who if your book was turned into an
- 23:13Speaker 1: audio book, who would you want to read?
- 23:18Speaker 5: Hmmm, that's that's a good question. So my children's book,
- 23:24Speaker 5: obviously it would be a child.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Uh if we can do a child that's either older,
- 23:31Speaker 2: elementary or middle school, just to make sure, only just
- 23:36Speaker 2: to make sure that it's understood. You know, something like that.
- 23:40Speaker 2: That's but a very you know, uh uh. A girl
- 23:45Speaker 2: with a great.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Voice and well, a great animated voice who's very excited.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Because my my character Katara, she's all she's gung ho,
- 23:59Speaker 5: she's she's excited.
- 24:00Speaker 2: So I need that energy.
- 24:02Speaker 1: So if you can pick a child star, who would
- 24:04Speaker 1: it be?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Huh?
- 24:06Speaker 5: I never you know what, I never even thought of that.
- 24:09Speaker 5: I may have to give back to you on that.
- 24:11Speaker 5: That's a good idea.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Let me see, I was thinking Kyla Pratt, she does
- 24:20Speaker 1: the voice of Penny Proud.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Oh, okay, you know what I was thinking her. She's yes,
- 24:26Speaker 5: she's good, she's good. And I used to watch that
- 24:29Speaker 5: with my son when he was younger. You know what
- 24:32Speaker 5: I'm saying.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Hmmm, someone says Haris Harris. Oh yeah, I did see her, Yes,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you guys, I sat there and watched the BET Awards. Please,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I want that time back of my life. Her in
- 24:50Speaker 1: that little girl who did the duet together. They were
- 24:53Speaker 1: so cute and they were so animate. Harris Harris Harris
- 24:59Speaker 1: is t I and Tiny's youngest daughter. Okay, yes, you
- 25:07Speaker 1: know what.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I remember seeing her when she was a baby and
- 25:11Speaker 2: he was she.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Was driving that car, toddlers driving that car. I haven't
- 25:15Speaker 5: heard her lately, but I'll have to off to look
- 25:18Speaker 5: her up.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Ye have some talent on her. Okay. So if you
- 25:24Speaker 1: had to use an older woman's voice to just narrow
- 25:30Speaker 1: a narrow in case it had a mother role, a
- 25:34Speaker 1: mother in your book, who would you want to play
- 25:37Speaker 1: that mother?
- 25:38Speaker 6: Oh?
- 25:39Speaker 2: Gosh, these hard I haven't even thought of it. Let
- 25:44Speaker 2: me see mothering voice. Shoot, I have somebody in my head.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Oh, Loretta Devine.
- 25:58Speaker 5: Yes, she's good. She yes, definitely got that mother uh,
- 26:03Speaker 5: mothering voice?
- 26:05Speaker 2: You know who else? I was thinking? Yeah, she has
- 26:10Speaker 2: range and I know she could do it. Oh god,
- 26:14Speaker 2: what's her name? Not not her?
- 26:19Speaker 5: She plays this character. No, she can't use this voice
- 26:22Speaker 5: for for the mom. But she plays Cookie and what's that?
- 26:25Speaker 5: And you know who I'm talking about? Not that, not Cookie?
- 26:31Speaker 7: Not her?
- 26:35Speaker 1: She she there is a movie out where she plays
- 26:38Speaker 1: karate kid. She does play a mother and karate kids, right,
- 26:42Speaker 1: that's matter of fact. Her book just hit our library.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Oh yes, she has a children's book, so like everybody's
- 26:52Speaker 1: writing children, Yes, okay, when you read your book, what
- 27:00Speaker 1: children's song comes to mind?
- 27:05Speaker 2: That's good? You know what.
- 27:06Speaker 7: I was looking at a song to advertise the book
- 27:10Speaker 7: for and I hmm, it's hmm.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Oh, the one from.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Curious George, the the that the uh the one that
- 27:29Speaker 5: the song you know, you know what I'm saying. It's
- 27:34Speaker 5: like key not not the not the one that we
- 27:37Speaker 5: grew up with, or not the one that was back
- 27:39Speaker 5: in the day, the one from the movie.
- 27:42Speaker 2: It's maybe that one. I'll have to send it to you.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I can't even think about it. Yes, it was. It
- 27:51Speaker 2: was animated, of course, come out.
- 27:54Speaker 5: It came out when like, because my son's in his
- 27:57Speaker 5: twenties too, so when our our our sons were young. Shoot,
- 28:05Speaker 5: it's it's you'll hear you can It's not something popular,
- 28:10Speaker 5: but I figured something like that, something nice and fun,
- 28:15Speaker 5: you know, because you know she's gonna be getting into
- 28:18Speaker 5: a lot of adventures and stuff like that.
- 28:20Speaker 1: So yeah, okay, so let's see what type of uh
- 28:26Speaker 1: cartoon shows or children's television. Did your son look it?
- 28:31Speaker 6: He did.
- 28:32Speaker 5: He looked at doory Xplorer and that and it's and
- 28:35Speaker 5: it was before Diego came out. But when Diego came out,
- 28:38Speaker 5: he watched that. He liked blukes CU's Blues clues, I
- 28:42Speaker 5: can't club He liked Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, the one, the
- 28:47Speaker 5: animated one, not the one we grew with.
- 28:53Speaker 2: What else did he like? And then? Oh, of course

- 29:04Speaker 1: Sesame Street he was not. My son was into the Wiggles.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Oh, yes, my son liked the Wiggles too. And that
- 29:13Speaker 2: now see that helped, like, helped keep me moving when
- 29:16Speaker 2: I was dancing. You know what I'm saying. I did
- 29:18Speaker 2: to dance. That's a good workout too. What else he like?

- 29:40Speaker 5: octopus Oswald?
- 29:44Speaker 1: Uh Oswald, Yes, my friend, that is awesome. So if
