- 0:00Speaker 1: Everybody around here has an opinion about Stewards.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Everybody around here shops a Dollar General.
- 0:06Speaker 1: But today we're gonna find out which store actually has
- 0:09Speaker 1: the better food. I went to both of the stores.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I bought the same exact categories. I bought beef, jerkey,
- 0:17Speaker 1: I bought cookies, trail mixed cheese, gummy worms, bread, hot dogs,
- 0:20Speaker 1: and even some lemonade.
- 0:21Speaker 2: You guys want to know.
- 0:22Speaker 1: What the catches we have? Absolutely well, they have no
- 0:25Speaker 1: absolutely idea which store is which. Everything is blind, everything
- 0:31Speaker 1: is going to get wrecked by the end of this episode.
- 0:35Speaker 1: One store is gonna walk away as the stay out
- 0:37Speaker 1: of my fridge, Champyon. What do you think of that?
- 0:42Speaker 1: You're probably also thinking, like, who's here today? Full stuff?
- 0:46Speaker 1: We got Avery, we got low, we got Islah, we
- 0:49Speaker 1: have meg ladies. What is up?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Nothing on them? Really?
- 0:56Speaker 1: So if while you guys are sitting there, if anybody
- 0:58Speaker 1: has access to a napkin, a piece of paper and
- 1:01Speaker 1: a pen or something, we're just gonna jot some little
- 1:04Speaker 1: scribbles down it looks like and well we'll kind of
- 1:07Speaker 1: go from here. As you people look around, there's a
- 1:12Speaker 1: lot of food.
- 1:13Speaker 2: So I had an idea.
- 1:14Speaker 1: When I was sitting here, I said, you know what,
- 1:16Speaker 1: Let's rank Stuarts, Let's rank Dollar General. Let's see which
- 1:20Speaker 1: one has the best store brand. And what I mean
- 1:23Speaker 1: by that is Stuart's they have their own brand of stuff.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Dollar General they have their brand, which is Clover Valley,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and I want to know which ones are better. I
- 1:32Speaker 1: do have lemonade and stuff. I haven't figured out. We're
- 1:34Speaker 1: gonna go trial by fire on on how to do that,
- 1:38Speaker 1: but we're gonna start with the foods here where we
- 1:39Speaker 1: end up and if we get to the thirty minutes
- 1:42Speaker 1: or whatever, then it is what it is. But I
- 1:44Speaker 1: gotta ask you, guys, do you think you'll know the
- 1:46Speaker 1: difference between which ones are Stuart brands and which ones
- 1:49Speaker 1: are Dollar General brands?
- 1:50Speaker 3: I think for some of them.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Like which ones are you straight out the gate
- 1:54Speaker 1: gonna be like, yep, gummy wormsm.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Cookies I shove before this. There has to be there
- 2:02Speaker 3: must be Stewart's trolley or something, bummies like.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Gummies, dummies, gotcham Well, there is, there's other things. So
- 2:13Speaker 1: I went to Stuart's first, because I haven't honestly walked
- 2:18Speaker 1: through Stuart's to see what exactly they have. I mean,
- 2:21Speaker 1: we know that they have, you know, subs that they make,
- 2:24Speaker 1: pizza they make, but that's not really the brand. I
- 2:26Speaker 1: was under the impression they had, like chips, their own chips.
- 2:29Speaker 1: They don't, but they do have their own beef jerky.
- 2:31Speaker 1: They do make their own trail mix. It has Stuarts
- 2:34Speaker 1: on it. They do have, you know, their own chocolate
- 2:38Speaker 1: covered pretzels, and the stuff that I got they do have.
- 2:41Speaker 1: They make Dollar General gun Clover Valley. So I just
- 2:45Speaker 1: went and randomly picked a bunch of Stuart things and
- 2:47Speaker 1: hoped that Dollar General.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Had them, and I was pretty close.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So pretty exciting, I don't know. So we just jump
- 2:54Speaker 1: right into this and see where we land. Yeah, all right,
- 2:57Speaker 1: So the first one we are going to do avery
- 2:59Speaker 1: stand up and grab bread. How well do you know bread?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Just make sure when you're walking over, please don't drop
- 3:06Speaker 1: the labels because I do have them labeled A and B,
- 3:08Speaker 1: and I am the only one girls go on record
- 3:11Speaker 1: tell the truth? Do you know which one is A
- 3:14Speaker 1: and which one is B?
- 3:15Speaker 3: No?
- 3:16Speaker 1: All right, I like this, so obviously I'll take one
- 3:20Speaker 1: of each. Which ones which this one's A, this one's beat?
- 3:24Speaker 4: So are we just making a guess?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna try them. You're gonna say which one
- 3:28Speaker 1: is better, and then you're gonna say which one is
- 3:31Speaker 1: which in your opinion, So again A and B, make
- 3:34Speaker 1: sure you know which one is which, please, and then
- 3:37Speaker 1: we'll make our guesses. And if you don't want to
- 3:40Speaker 1: eat the entire thing, that's fine, Just you know, at
- 3:43Speaker 1: least take a bite, look at it, give it the
- 3:46Speaker 1: smell test, the field test, see if you think you
- 3:49Speaker 1: know which one is which. But more importantly, I want
- 3:52Speaker 1: the truth of which one you like better, regardless of
- 3:58Speaker 1: because my kind of goal at the end of this
- 4:01Speaker 1: is I would love to see which one is actually better.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So telling me, honestly, in your opinion, which one you
- 4:08Speaker 1: think is better. So go ahead and.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Try them, A and B.
- 4:10Speaker 1: We're gonna start with bread. We're gonna start with the bread.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So we're gonna try each and say which one is
- 4:15Speaker 1: actually the best. And can you tell is there a
- 4:19Speaker 1: big difference? Hmm?
- 4:26Speaker 2: I think there is a slight difference.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Off the gate, I say, my feeling.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Go for it.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Let's hear it right off the gate.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Off the gate I felt it he mum was way softer?
- 4:35Speaker 1: Which one here? B? B?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Right?
- 4:39Speaker 1: B I'm gonna be. I'm gonna be. I'm I'm gonna be.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Avery's giving a thumbs up. She is well things. Be's
- 4:45Speaker 1: a little softer.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yeah, B is not as hard and it's more schuey
- 4:53Speaker 3: that chuier than My take is A smells more like
- 4:58Speaker 3: bread than the other one, then BE does and smell it.
- 5:01Speaker 3: But uh like they smell different.
- 5:06Speaker 1: They do smell different. I'll give you that, not a
- 5:08Speaker 1: lot different, but I can like.
- 5:09Speaker 3: This one smells more like sweet. This one just smells
- 5:13Speaker 3: more like bread.
- 5:14Speaker 2: What are you thinking over there?
- 5:15Speaker 1: Hello?
- 5:18Speaker 5: Oh, not a whole lot of much. It just tastes
- 5:21Speaker 5: like bread.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Both of them. You gotta pick one air B because
- 5:26Speaker 1: it's softer.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Did you write that down?
- 5:27Speaker 1: What you picked?
- 5:28Speaker 2: Okay, A's which you pick?
- 5:30Speaker 1: Just Aila?
- 5:33Speaker 3: I picked B.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You picked B. Meg.
- 5:36Speaker 5: I also picked B.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I went first bite impression. I think I like to
- 5:40Speaker 1: be a little bit better as well.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I have a feeling of no things.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I just said be, we're good, We're good. So do
- 5:48Speaker 1: you do you know which ones with sila? Which one?
- 5:50Speaker 3: Tell me I know the difference between no bread?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Oh that's a bold statement, kid, because.
- 5:55Speaker 3: We get bread a lot, and I think B is.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Dg Well Dollar Oh, okay, do we agree or disagree
- 6:05Speaker 1: with ISLA?
- 6:05Speaker 3: I couldn't tell you because usually Stuart's stuff is harder
- 6:14Speaker 3: than usual, saying for like, we'll say gummies, their gummies
- 6:22Speaker 3: are harder than usual. I think A is Dollar General
- 6:27Speaker 3: because I feel like Dollar General's crust is like thicker
- 6:32Speaker 3: than Stuart's crust.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I feel like both stores have many different kinds of breads,
- 6:37Speaker 5: and they could either of them could be from either store.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And this, so just that's a good point. Maybe I
- 6:43Speaker 1: should say it. I went white bread, so it wasn't
- 6:45Speaker 1: like they have Italian. Obviously, probably should have showed the camera,
- 6:49Speaker 1: but anybody listening, it's obviously not a wheat bread. It's
- 6:51Speaker 1: not this. It's just each brands and you guys can
- 6:53Speaker 1: look over behind you. That's what they are, just white
- 6:56Speaker 1: normal bread. So do you have a guess or you
- 6:59Speaker 1: just really they're pretty the same, They're the same magnet.
- 7:04Speaker 4: I was guessing that B was Stewart's.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Well, everybody's got an answer in I can't tell you
- 7:10Speaker 1: because I know A was Stewart's. B is Dollar General
- 7:16Speaker 1: Clover Valley. So there we go.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Wait are there? Do the letters change?
- 7:23Speaker 1: Yes, I'm not going to just say everything's a yes.
- 7:26Speaker 5: So how are we supposed to keep score of this?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Not? Really, what we're trying to do is decide as
- 7:32Speaker 1: a group. Everybody thought B was the best there, So
- 7:35Speaker 1: right now, if somebody just wants to record B right
- 7:37Speaker 1: now is in the lead. Dollar General has one point.
- 7:39Speaker 1: It doesn't need to go who got them right and stuff.
- 7:41Speaker 1: You guys can keep track of your own and have
- 7:43Speaker 1: bragging rights after. I just want us as a group
- 7:45Speaker 1: to decide what is the best brand. And so far
- 7:47Speaker 1: Dollar General they won round one, right, So my goal was,
- 7:52Speaker 1: I believe we have eight rounds. We're gonna do lemonade
- 7:55Speaker 1: as a tiebreaker if it ends up a tie breaker,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and or just for fun, just because it was it
- 8:00Speaker 1: was gonna be too hard for me to grab like
- 8:03Speaker 1: ten different glasses and do it, so we'll pour it
- 8:05Speaker 1: at the end. But all right, so Dollar General's in
- 8:07Speaker 1: the lead. Round two. We should be professionals at this.
- 8:12Speaker 1: We've already done an episode on beef Jerky. We've tried
- 8:15Speaker 1: all of the beef jerky and we ranked what was
- 8:18Speaker 1: the best beef jerkey on Amazon? Does anybody remember, yep?
- 8:22Speaker 3: What it was like?
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't know the brand, but it was you don't know.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It was old Trapper with the best on Amazon. So
- 8:30Speaker 1: we are going to uh, we did not try Stewarts.
- 8:33Speaker 1: We did not try Dollar General Clover Valley on that episode.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Have we tried them?
- 8:39Speaker 1: But we have. We're gonna go ooh. Every smelled one
- 8:43Speaker 1: of them and gave me a look that I don't know.
- 8:46Speaker 2: This one's a.
- 8:48Speaker 1: B. All right, this is a This is BE.
- 8:53Speaker 3: No. Before I even tried it, it smells more mint.
- 8:59Speaker 3: B is not very good. I smelled mint the first time.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I taste me too. He smells weird.
- 9:06Speaker 5: BE smells like the mint that Dana grows.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Yes, it does at all?
- 9:13Speaker 1: Right, Well, trial what everyone is you want?
- 9:16Speaker 4: True?
- 9:19Speaker 2: I was aggressive, Okay, He's not bad.
- 9:25Speaker 3: A is very dry.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I agree hard. I do apologize to any of the listeners.
- 9:32Speaker 1: If we're chewing in our microphone. It is what it is.
- 9:34Speaker 2: We are trying food. Sometimes you're gonna hear us to it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: All right. B does have an interesting smell.
- 9:42Speaker 3: It was also spicy.
- 9:46Speaker 1: For the record, both are original, is what they put
- 9:49Speaker 1: on it. So one Stuart's original. One that's Clover Valley,
- 9:52Speaker 1: the d G brand original.
- 9:54Speaker 5: H I definitely like amore.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I I don't like either of them because because as hard,
- 10:03Speaker 3: but it tastes better, but be softer, but it tastes worse.
- 10:08Speaker 2: What's kind of on the same brain train as you on.
- 10:09Speaker 5: That me too, But I'm going off of taste in
- 10:13Speaker 5: A is better.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Okay, if we're going off of taste as better, hallo what.
- 10:17Speaker 2: You're thinking, you're still chewing Mega gotta.
- 10:19Speaker 4: I'm going A.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah, B is a little funky, not like it's bad,
- 10:23Speaker 1: It's just it doesn't give me original beef jerky vibes
- 10:27Speaker 1: like you guys have said, like some kind of mint
- 10:29Speaker 1: or whatever. Yeah, and it's not like they had mint
- 10:32Speaker 1: stuff where it was. I mean, you guys know where
- 10:34Speaker 1: the beef jerky section is in sewarts. It's just chilling
- 10:36Speaker 1: by itself. All right, I'm gonna also agree. I'm gonna
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna say A is better. So we all actually
- 10:43Speaker 1: agreed on one thing.
- 10:45Speaker 3: We agreed on the last one too.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I know it's weird that we're agreeing.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So A. Does anybody have any guesses which one is?
- 10:50Speaker 4: Which is Stuart's a Stuarts.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Everybody says Stuart's rylo a, Stuart's A his Dollar General.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Clover Valley is Stuart's beef.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Jerkey, well, Clover Valley. I was getting Clover out of
- 11:05Speaker 3: this mouth. So I've had that, No.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I said, I was so A was Dollar General? Dollar
- 11:14Speaker 1: General is beating Stuart's to nothing? Yeah, I I I mean, yeah,
- 11:22Speaker 1: definitely very chewy, very yeah, and I just got a
- 11:26Speaker 1: funky taste.
- 11:27Speaker 3: So I thought, b one last time.
- 11:29Speaker 5: The letters switch.
- 11:31Speaker 1: The letters are switching, yeah, because if I just did
- 11:33Speaker 1: Stuart's A all the time, it'd be pretty easy to
- 11:34Speaker 1: The letters.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Don't really mean anything after week, all.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Right, if anybody wants to, We're gonna do trail mix next.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Obviously it's a it's a variety of trail mix, So
- 11:43Speaker 1: just kind of grab whatever and we'll we'll just try
- 11:46Speaker 1: a little bit of each. Based on look, when I
- 11:49Speaker 1: put these out there, I couldn't find a lot of
- 11:52Speaker 1: difference between the two. I'm not gonna lie to you,
- 11:55Speaker 1: So grab grab obviously, if you don't love raisins, you
- 11:59Speaker 1: don't grab raisin. Grab what you like, Grab a little
- 12:01Speaker 1: of each. I know this one's a little awkward because
- 12:03Speaker 1: it is on the plate, and if a little of
- 12:06Speaker 1: A ends up in a little of B, it is
- 12:08Speaker 1: what it is. But we're gonna go trail mix again.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Clover Valley for his dollar. General's brand is Clover Valley.
- 12:15Speaker 1: The Stuarts is just it says Stuarts. Now, I do
- 12:19Speaker 1: have to say I don't know how Stuarts makes them.
- 12:22Speaker 1: They do come in those pre package, so they could
- 12:25Speaker 1: easily be dumping them from another brand. But it says
- 12:28Speaker 1: Stuart's on it, so I'm counted as a Stuart's a
- 12:32Speaker 1: Stuart's trail Mix. I don't know if that's fair, Eves
- 12:35Speaker 1: to say, Meg, it seems to make sense. So Avery,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you already have yours. Sissy is still passing them out.
- 12:43Speaker 1: So if you want to get ahead of the game
- 12:44Speaker 1: and start chewing so we have something to talk and
- 12:46Speaker 1: stagger them a little, that's fine, and we'll get into
- 12:50Speaker 1: that Isley you can try whenever as well. Remember we're
- 12:52Speaker 1: gonna go A and B. Which one is better in
- 12:56Speaker 1: your opinion? So, and I do appreciate Low she's acting
- 13:00Speaker 1: as our waitress. So uh, Grassy want you if you want,
- 13:05Speaker 1: you can just all right, you're doing well. I was
- 13:07Speaker 1: gonna say you just said it here for.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Now, but I realized that the second one actually has
- 13:15Speaker 3: chocolate chips, but the first one doesn't have They have
- 13:21Speaker 3: the peanut butter chips, but they don't have chocolate chips.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm going on in A.
- 13:25Speaker 3: I think they both taste the same, and eminems are different.
- 13:31Speaker 3: But both of the eminem's taste like cicklets.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Like what six lits?
- 13:37Speaker 2: Yeah, chocolate, but you said cick lids.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I'm like, that's a brain of a fish, type of fish.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Okay, But I think I'm gonna go with A because
- 13:45Speaker 3: the peanut butter chocolate chip or whatever I had tasted
- 13:50Speaker 3: better from A than it did be Hm, But I
- 13:54Speaker 3: did realize that he had normal chocolate chips in a din,
- 14:02Speaker 3: neither of them have normal poker tips.
- 14:04Speaker 2: What are you feeling over there?
- 14:04Speaker 3: Low?
- 14:05Speaker 1: I know you're still kind of trying you the last
- 14:06Speaker 1: one here, Aila, Meg. What are you guys thinking? I
- 14:09Speaker 1: didn't notice a lot of difference.
- 14:10Speaker 4: I think, as dollar general, based on the chocolate chips.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Puts are better.
- 14:18Speaker 1: He has the better peanuts. What did you say was
- 14:20Speaker 1: the better in your opinion? A?
- 14:22Speaker 3: Because I liked the chocolate chip better.
- 14:26Speaker 2: You got an ooh.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I don't like any nuts, so I can't really be
- 14:30Speaker 3: judging this one.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I think I think B is better, Hyler, what are
- 14:34Speaker 1: you thinking? What's better? Air? B A okay? So Avery
- 14:38Speaker 1: said A B A B oh boy A B A B.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It comes down to meat does and you know the brands.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I know the brands. That's tough.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Don't go off the brain.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I haven't looked at the sheets.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Go off the taste, not the brands.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I think the first thing when I tried him, I'm
- 15:00Speaker 1: not gonna lie to you. I think I liked BE
- 15:02Speaker 1: a little bit better at a little variety. Just I
- 15:05Speaker 1: took a handful of each. I thought B was slightly
- 15:08Speaker 1: I don't think a huge, huge win, but I thought
- 15:10Speaker 1: potentially it was maybe a little bit better.
- 15:12Speaker 5: I agree, it's not a huge one. They're very very similar.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I don't remember which ones which, but so we're going
- 15:18Speaker 1: with B. Yes, Beavery's like no, but we'll go with it.
- 15:22Speaker 1: So trail mix Homeboy. B is Dollar General.
- 15:26Speaker 3: A is better.
- 15:28Speaker 1: B is Dollar General. Off to three oh star. That's
- 15:32Speaker 1: a tough comeback. We're gonna go chocolate pretzels next, chocolate pretzels.
- 15:38Speaker 1: So we're gonna have a little chocolate pretzels. You will
- 15:41Speaker 1: notice right out the gate, everybody you noticeing.
- 15:45Speaker 3: This one is bigger. B's bigger, A lot bigger.
- 15:48Speaker 1: B A is bigger. Based on just look and presentation,
- 15:52Speaker 1: which one would you say, would you think would be
- 15:54Speaker 1: a little bit better? B? B is better? And again,
- 16:02Speaker 1: thank you, and again here's a little bit of a difference.
- 16:05Speaker 1: One is dollar general, one is stuarts. One is bigger,
- 16:08Speaker 1: one is smaller. One based on looks, might be able
- 16:12Speaker 1: to say this one's a little better. Mush ones not
- 16:16Speaker 1: a first a solid.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I like a better. I'd like the chocolate better on a.
- 16:26Speaker 1: No different My face is different from chocolate and practical quality, it's.
- 16:33Speaker 3: A lot better better A.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Wins buy a lot.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I agree A wins now I taste it.
- 16:39Speaker 1: B pretzel was a little I'm kind of stale. So
- 16:45Speaker 1: we all agreed on one. Thank you for not making
- 16:47Speaker 1: me be the tiebreaker. So chocolate covered pretzels, Meg, you agreed? Hey, yes,
- 16:53Speaker 1: a chocolate covered pretzels is. Stuart's is on the board
- 16:56Speaker 1: with a wind. It's tied in mine, They're tied and
- 17:00Speaker 1: Avery's standings.
- 17:02Speaker 5: The overall standings, it's three to one tall our generals
- 17:05Speaker 5: winning in mine and mine.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I recommend everybody takes a drink because we just went
- 17:10Speaker 1: from sweet, Sweet Sweet, and we're going to cheese, which
- 17:12Speaker 1: is over here. They're going with cheese. It's gonna be
- 17:15Speaker 1: a little more obvious on here because one is orange
- 17:18Speaker 1: and one is yellow.
- 17:20Speaker 5: On my score, are they like plastic wrapped cheese?
- 17:22Speaker 3: There's only one B is whin B is winning by
- 17:29Speaker 3: I'm at B is losing.
- 17:30Speaker 1: By one on yours three on yours because.
- 17:34Speaker 3: B only has one win and then A has three wins.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So Low did ask a great question.
- 17:40Speaker 1: These are sliced cheeses like you would, uh, you would
- 17:43Speaker 1: take out of the plastic. They're all individually wrapped. If
- 17:47Speaker 1: anybody does want to know, they each have their own
- 17:49Speaker 1: brand of brick cheese, which I was gonna go, but
- 17:53Speaker 1: I didn't know at the time which was there, and
- 17:55Speaker 1: there was only one interesting brand that was at Stuart's,
- 17:59Speaker 1: and I didn't think that would be an exact match.
- 18:02Speaker 3: There's a lot of differences. I can already feel it.
- 18:05Speaker 2: What's the different thing?
- 18:06Speaker 5: Yellow one is very sticky.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Yellow one is very sticky and very like But which one?
- 18:13Speaker 3: Which one you just now in the hall all day?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Which one are you calling yellow colors? It's because I
- 18:20Speaker 1: know you're stop like colors, Low so obviously one is orange,
- 18:23Speaker 1: one is yellow. Say this is orange? A is orange?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Are you or you're going yellow? And white?
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yellow and white?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yellow and whitey?
- 18:31Speaker 3: Going by what mine?
- 18:37Speaker 1: What Megan's making a face. Don't base it off what
- 18:42Speaker 1: you do or don't like. Base it off what you
- 18:44Speaker 1: think is the better cheese of the two yellow.
- 18:46Speaker 3: It's better this one I don't like.
- 18:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna skip this. I agree with Avery.
- 18:55Speaker 3: You don't like the This one is disgusting.
- 18:57Speaker 5: It's good at first and the after taste.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I personally liked that one better though the white one now,
- 19:05Speaker 1: but I think everybody else is digging the orange.
- 19:07Speaker 3: I'm gonna go orange. I guess orange is more like.
- 19:09Speaker 5: A velveto mm hmm.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Okay, so we are all in agreeance. The better cheese
- 19:16Speaker 1: belongs to. Oh yeah, let's guess what it is. I
- 19:20Speaker 1: A is the orange, B is the one.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I think. I think the A A is Dollar General.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I was about to say that, I was gonna say
- 19:31Speaker 3: a Dollar General, because you don't usually get white cheese
- 19:34Speaker 3: from General.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Just make sure you try to.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Talk you don't white cheese.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Okay, so Dollar General did have both kinds, and I
- 19:46Speaker 1: think I missed maybe missgud but either way, A is
- 19:49Speaker 1: dollar General. Dollar General wins again, unanimously wins again. You're
- 19:54Speaker 1: going back to the beef jerkey to mix up the
- 19:56Speaker 1: palette or just uh you just like it. That's fair,
- 20:01Speaker 1: it's too hard.
- 20:02Speaker 3: I can't buy it, all.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Right, So that puts DG at four more or less.
- 20:05Speaker 1: If Stuarts want to win, they need to win out.
- 20:07Speaker 1: They're gonna win everything else. So we're going to We're
- 20:10Speaker 1: going to gummy worms. Everybody says that they're gonna know
- 20:12Speaker 1: the difference of gummy worms. So let's see if you
- 20:15Speaker 1: guys know the difference of the gummy worms, and based
- 20:19Speaker 1: on presentation, maybe you'll know, maybe you won't. I already know,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you already know which ones which.
- 20:28Speaker 4: A is Dollar General.
- 20:31Speaker 5: I mean Stuart's all.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Right, so she's saying right on record, A is Stewie's
- 20:36Speaker 1: B is the g I'm.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Gonna say that too.
- 20:40Speaker 1: She can.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Yeah, this don't be I know I was gonna say
- 20:46Speaker 3: that the is dollar General because when I was younger,
- 20:52Speaker 3: I would get these gummy worms all the time, and
- 20:54Speaker 3: this is what they looked like, and they.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Were so if you look, they are kind of the same,
- 21:00Speaker 1: but yet a lot different. So we're going in A B.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Go ahead. M hm mm hmm.
- 21:10Speaker 2: He's a pretty good gummy worm.
- 21:14Speaker 1: No either, Oh take them B. He's not a bad
- 21:23Speaker 1: gummy worm.
- 21:24Speaker 3: They're both pretty good.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I think.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Is better because B tastes more like plastic to me.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Did anybody else realize that A actually says A on.
- 21:36Speaker 4: The gummy worm?
- 21:38Speaker 1: What it does?
- 21:39Speaker 3: It does?
- 21:40Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, there is a bunch of as. Yeah, I
- 21:42Speaker 1: definitely did that on purpose. I didn't. It is interesting
- 21:46Speaker 1: which brand has an A on it?
- 21:48Speaker 4: M Stewarts, I think, Yeah, you were so confident about
- 21:53Speaker 4: this song.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I am you're still confident.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I think this is Stewarts.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Which one's better than thicker? A a isla?
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but because Stewart is s thicker. But I would
- 22:04Speaker 3: always get these when I was younger.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Mag which one are you going? Which one's better?
- 22:11Speaker 4: I was thinking B, but I think I might like
- 22:14Speaker 4: A better now.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, So you guys are you're convinced with low? A
- 22:19Speaker 1: is Stewart's B is dollar General. Let's look it up,
- 22:23Speaker 1: gummy worms. A is Stuart's B is dollar General. Stewart
- 22:29Speaker 1: stays at live.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Mine's all tied up again. Mine is not tied up
- 22:33Speaker 3: minus pretty bad mine. A is winning everyone except one,
- 22:40Speaker 3: the first one, and then B is losing everyone except
- 22:43Speaker 3: the first one.
- 22:44Speaker 2: All right, So I'm gonna put this up to you.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Do you guys want to go hot dog chocolate chip
- 22:47Speaker 1: or chocolate chip than hot dog chocolate chip? Okay, hot dogs?
- 22:51Speaker 1: And if you don't like the hot dog, I know
- 22:53Speaker 1: Island not a hot dog man, you can skip this
- 22:55Speaker 1: round and then if we need you as a tiebreaker,
- 22:58Speaker 1: I'll eat yours I don't like. But if you don't
- 23:01Speaker 1: want to do it, then we'll just based well, then
- 23:04Speaker 1: just go based on look.
- 23:07Speaker 5: I'm gonna eat it.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Wow.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Okay, wait, your.
- 23:11Speaker 5: He is cooked?
- 23:12Speaker 1: Yes, they were air fried for anybody that if you're
- 23:16Speaker 1: If you don't like, Again, if you guys don't like
- 23:18Speaker 1: hot dogs, don't, there's three of us that do, and
- 23:21Speaker 1: that's we can go.
- 23:23Speaker 3: If you like hot dogs, I don't recommend watching how
- 23:25Speaker 3: they're made.
- 23:26Speaker 2: No, that's fine, I'm never gonna do that.
- 23:28Speaker 1: So A and B right out to get different colors,
- 23:31Speaker 1: different sizes. Correct you already know? Okay, Meg does already knows?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Do you already know? Though?
- 23:37Speaker 5: I think so?
- 23:39Speaker 1: I know? Can I make a guess, make a guess I.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Don't want to try it.
- 23:45Speaker 5: I'll think him.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I feel like I want a media with per dog.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Wait is this one as there's a clear win in
- 23:54Speaker 1: my mind?
- 23:54Speaker 3: B B is definitely Dollar General because Dollar General colors are.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Way there's a winner, and which one's better?
- 24:04Speaker 5: B B, B B.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Do you have any guesses on which one is which?
- 24:11Speaker 3: No? Wise, this one be, this one be usually I
- 24:17Speaker 3: think that one's Dollar General.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Meg was confident, Low was confident. We all know that
- 24:22Speaker 1: be was better. B is Stewie's. That's a good hot talk.
- 24:28Speaker 4: It's it is.
- 24:31Speaker 1: And uh and just to let everybody know, price point wise,
- 24:35Speaker 1: Stewart's on most of the things were a little bit
- 24:38Speaker 1: more expensive per category. I had the receipts and everything
- 24:41Speaker 1: like that. But we don't have to get into that,
- 24:43Speaker 1: but just just a price point for people to say,
- 24:47Speaker 1: you know, like, hey, if Dollar General ends up beating
- 24:51Speaker 1: them and it's cheaper, maybe it's a better buy in
- 24:53Speaker 1: the North Country, you know. All right, So the last
- 24:56Speaker 1: one we are going to round this up in does
- 24:58Speaker 1: that put us at an even or odd?
- 25:00Speaker 4: It is four dollar General, three Stuarts.
- 25:03Speaker 1: So if Dollar General or Stuart's wins this one, it
- 25:06Speaker 1: puts it as a tie and we will have to
- 25:09Speaker 1: do the lemonade tiebreaker.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys are okay with that.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I know exactly what burn these are. These are knockoffs.
- 25:17Speaker 2: What oh okay? Oh took that out of my mouth.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'm sorry, video, but I was gonna show you and
- 25:24Speaker 1: I didn't so obviously the pieces are different, but they
- 25:27Speaker 1: are much different quality looking cookies in my opinion.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Oh, it's disgusting. I just took it out of my mouth.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Eh, what are we iting this one?
- 25:39Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 25:41Speaker 3: Na, it tastes like corn starch.
- 25:46Speaker 5: It's softer.
- 25:47Speaker 3: But these ones are way better the one that.
- 25:49Speaker 5: I have in my mouth.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I know which one I like better? To which one
- 25:56Speaker 2: do you like better?
- 25:57Speaker 5: I think I like better.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I like a better. A.
- 26:02Speaker 5: He has a good cookie taste. A is just like
- 26:06Speaker 5: fake cookie.
- 26:08Speaker 3: This tastes like corn starch.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm going to give it another butt. Rinse with your
- 26:12Speaker 1: mouth like water, Prince with your mouth. Rinse with your mouth.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Take a little drink of water, fresh in your palate.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Because we did just go hot dog, which you don't.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Like, and then you went cookie. Which one you go?
- 26:21Speaker 2: Which one do you like better?
- 26:22Speaker 4: I think I like B better ain't.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Definitely in my opinion.
- 26:26Speaker 1: No, okay, so Avery likes a B A goes down
- 26:31Speaker 1: to me again my opinion, the better cookie is B
- 26:38Speaker 1: in my opinion, do you have any guesses on which
- 26:39Speaker 1: ones might be?
- 26:40Speaker 3: Is Stuart's? I'm agreeing for my period pyramid, you think
- 26:47Speaker 3: like better it's impossible, but yours is just going off
- 26:52Speaker 3: the letters, not off the store, not off the store,
- 26:55Speaker 3: off the taste anyways, went off the letters, not the story.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, we'll explain it after it, we'll tally
- 27:01Speaker 1: them up. But I guess B was Stevie's.
- 27:07Speaker 3: That ties it up. So we have to go That
- 27:10Speaker 3: ties mine up too, because I was opposite minus Stuarts
- 27:13Speaker 3: was for dollar generals.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So we are gonna know which one is which. There's
- 27:17Speaker 1: really no way to hide this, and it's okay. So
- 27:20Speaker 1: if if you want, I've got five cups by the
- 27:22Speaker 1: air fryer. Okay, and Avery go over to the bag.
- 27:27Speaker 1: There is lemonade in there. There's two kinds. If we
- 27:30Speaker 1: just can't agree, there is lemonade regular and there is
- 27:33Speaker 1: like a strawberry lemonade. Would we rather just do straight lemonade?
- 27:37Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 27:38Speaker 1: Okay, So what we're gonna do is We're gonna you
- 27:39Speaker 1: guys are gonna know it's okay. We're just gonna be real.
- 27:43Speaker 1: We're gonna say which one is the better lemonade in
- 27:45Speaker 1: our opinion? One is Clover Valley, So grab one the
- 27:49Speaker 1: low avery crack the other one. Which one we're gonna
- 27:51Speaker 1: start with? Okay, we're gonna start with Clover Valley, the
- 27:54Speaker 1: one that low has eves. Shake it, put the lid on,
- 27:59Speaker 1: give a good ship, shake it all the time, Shake, shake, shake,
- 28:07Speaker 1: all right. And like I said, one is saying lemonade,
- 28:12Speaker 1: one says lemonade refresher. I don't know if there's an
- 28:15Speaker 1: actual difference. Is there a difference and lemonade and lemonade refresher.
- 28:18Speaker 4: By just looking at it, I don't really know.
- 28:22Speaker 1: All right, you're starting with Stewart's, so Abe just put
- 28:26Speaker 1: a little bit in there and then walk around and
- 28:28Speaker 1: put a little bit in each of the awesome, that's
- 28:33Speaker 1: what it sounded like, all right, So put a little.
- 28:37Speaker 3: I swear I never used this cup.
- 28:40Speaker 1: There's here I go. So this is what it looks like.
- 28:45Speaker 1: There's a lemonade refresher. Hopefully there's no caffeine in it, doesn't.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Appear, so yeah, way, we know which one it is.
- 28:52Speaker 1: The first one is Stewarts Lemonade Refresher. We're gonna get
- 28:56Speaker 1: a nice little drink of this, and then we're gonna
- 28:59Speaker 1: take my sip. Boy.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Oh, that just got in my eye. Bro, It bounced
- 29:08Speaker 3: off your cup and got into my eye.
- 29:10Speaker 5: Nasty. It's pretty good. Taste like lemonade.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Taste like lemonade.
- 29:14Speaker 3: It's too sweet, mine, I love it.
- 29:19Speaker 5: I don't like that really too sweet. I think it
- 29:22Speaker 5: tastes like lemon juice with a little tiny bit of sugar.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I love you. Are in charge of Clover Valley. We're
- 29:31Speaker 1: coming in, everybody. Remember the palette. Remember what we have again.
- 29:36Speaker 1: This is Clover Valley Round two. And if we just
- 29:40Speaker 1: can't get into an agreement, we do have another lemonade.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Oh this is so much better.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Maybe it likes this one better. Oh that was a lot.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Sorry, I just want a little droplet.
- 29:54Speaker 4: How about you. That's game.
- 29:56Speaker 3: That's good.
- 29:58Speaker 1: They're different.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I know my winner. I know my winner.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Sorry, Matt, I give you a lot o m m
- 30:12Speaker 5: I know my winner too.
- 30:14Speaker 3: I know mine?
- 30:16Speaker 1: All right, what's your winner? Apes, I already know that
- 30:19Speaker 1: yours Avery.
- 30:21Speaker 3: God, General is better.
- 30:23Speaker 5: Liked General?
- 30:26Speaker 2: I love what do you like better?
- 30:27Speaker 3: Stuarts?
- 30:29Speaker 4: I like Stuart's also.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Gosh darn it, I personally liked Stewart's better.
- 30:38Speaker 3: But Stores was disgusting.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Why don't we why don't we just throw all right,
- 30:42Speaker 1: let's get the strawberry out, Strawberry lemonade, the last of
- 30:47Speaker 1: the final straw all.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I'm scared about this song.
- 30:52Speaker 1: In general. Well, Avery and Low are going ahead and
- 30:59Speaker 1: get them. Meg, It's just me and you. Which one
- 31:02Speaker 1: do you like better? Are you a lemonade or a
- 31:04Speaker 1: strawberry lemonade? Person?
- 31:05Speaker 5: Better lemonade?
- 31:07Speaker 3: I'm strawberry lemonade, strawberry lemonade.
- 31:10Speaker 1: That what about you?
- 31:12Speaker 3: I like normal lemonade more.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I know, with a last name that pretty much means strawberry.
- 31:17Speaker 1: And you don't love strawberry.
- 31:19Speaker 4: I love strawberry. I just don't like strawberry and lemons together.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Yes, okay, strawberry lemonade refresher.
- 31:29Speaker 5: So the dollar General is actually raspberry lemonade.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yeah, they're pretty much the same.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Truth. Did they not have strawberry? They didn't, So I said,
- 31:38Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna take my chance. Raspberry Strawberry's
- 31:42Speaker 1: I know everybody too. They're different, but you golo if
- 31:45Speaker 1: you want to jump in on the refresher.
- 31:48Speaker 3: This is pretty good at no, oh.
- 31:51Speaker 1: This is really good. I like this one better than
- 31:53Speaker 1: the normal lemonade refreshment.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Me too.
- 31:55Speaker 1: And this blows Clover Valley's lemonade. It might. This is
- 32:00Speaker 1: really good.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Yes, I agree.
- 32:02Speaker 1: It's not for me, not for Meg, not for me either,
- 32:06Speaker 1: not for Isla.
- 32:07Speaker 2: That was fantastic.
- 32:08Speaker 1: That was really good.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I hated that one.
- 32:11Speaker 1: And while this is in the back of what put
- 32:12Speaker 1: this in the back of your mind? Of all of
- 32:14Speaker 1: the things that we tried here, if you have one
- 32:17Speaker 1: favorite thing to close out the episode, after we try this,
- 32:21Speaker 1: there was just one item. Whether it was a cookie,
- 32:24Speaker 1: whether it was lemonade, whether it was a gummy worm.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Maybe it was just a standard piece of white bread.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Maybe you love cheese. Maybe it was trail mix. Maybe, uh,
- 32:36Speaker 1: what else do we have? Beef jerkey? All right, this
- 32:41Speaker 1: one's not very good, much different.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I like much more. I like it much less.
- 32:52Speaker 4: I also like this one more.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I think I like you.
- 32:58Speaker 1: So you guys like the right well you would because
- 33:01Speaker 1: you don't love strawberry lemonade, So you're raspberry there is
- 33:04Speaker 1: much different taste and you can definitely tell the differencetween strawberry.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like raspberry more than strawberry.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Can't here, So if anybody's wondering, raspberry lemonade big hit
- 33:13Speaker 1: in the house.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Strawberry lemonade pretty good.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Uh, And we did not have it at the Dollar
- 33:18Speaker 1: General here, So I guess my math is math and
- 33:24Speaker 1: Stuart's edges out Dollar General overall with the win on
- 33:29Speaker 1: the name brand stuff.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Mine was a tie.
- 33:32Speaker 1: So Stuart's got the lemonade mm hmm, Stewart's got the lemonade,
- 33:37Speaker 1: and then the last one was just for funzies. Okay.
- 33:40Speaker 2: So uh it was there.
- 33:41Speaker 1: One item go around that you loved the most out
- 33:45Speaker 1: of everything we tried?
- 33:45Speaker 2: Avery, was there anything you loved the best or anybody?
- 33:50Speaker 5: Was Stuart tod Dog?
- 33:51Speaker 1: Stuart hot Dog was your favorite? Meg?
- 33:54Speaker 4: I think I'm torn between the chocolate pretzel and the trail.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Mix chocolate covered pretzels or the strawberry lemonade.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I think my favorite was Stuart's chocolate covered pretzels. After
- 34:09Speaker 1: the show when we press record, I got the chocolate ones,
- 34:11Speaker 1: but they break it down into pandemonium, so I think
- 34:14Speaker 1: there's also peanut butter my pretzels.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Yeah, either the pretzels or the Stuart's lemonade.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Okay, so Stuwie's is definitely winning on the overall favorite item.
- 34:25Speaker 1: What is one thing that you just didn't like don't want.
- 34:28Speaker 2: To try again?
- 34:29Speaker 3: Hot dogs?
- 34:30Speaker 1: Well you don't like hot dogs something that you normally enjoy.
- 34:32Speaker 1: The white cheese, white cheese. The white cheese was not
- 34:35Speaker 1: a hit. The Stuart's jerky, Stuart's jerkey wasn't up there for.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Me, Cheesy Stuart's jerky, Stuart's cookies, corn start, the cheese
- 34:49Speaker 3: from Stuart's.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Wow, there's a lot.
- 34:53Speaker 2: I said, one item you didn't like, and that's it.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Okay, well pretty good Leslie low Is or anything you
- 35:01Speaker 1: just didn't like.
- 35:03Speaker 5: I'm just answered the way.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Geez oh I didn't know if that was I just
- 35:10Speaker 1: knew I didn't straight up white cheese clips, Oh my gosh,
- 35:16Speaker 1: are not corn starch cookies. Their chocolate chip cookies.
- 35:21Speaker 3: In cunch.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I didn't like the jerky fair enough? All right, Well
- 35:25Speaker 1: that was fun. So if you guys are looking go
- 35:26Speaker 1: support your local stowies, maybe you're a big DG fan.
- 35:30Speaker 1: DG price point was a little bit lower. For everything
- 35:33Speaker 1: that we got at Stewart's. It was about thirty something bucks.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Everything we got at Dollar General would have probably been
- 35:40Speaker 1: in the twenties. But we did buy a couple of
- 35:42Speaker 1: items for dinner on there, so I'll put it up
- 35:44Speaker 1: a little bit more so. I mean if they're very close,
- 35:47Speaker 1: like a couple of them, more like the gummy worms.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I think we're pretty close. Bread pretty close. Which is
- 35:52Speaker 1: nice to know that I can get a dollar fifty
- 35:54Speaker 1: low for bread instead of three twenty nine at Stuart's.
- 35:56Speaker 2: And you guys like it better.
- 35:58Speaker 1: This was a little research parent research. Let alone Stewie's
- 36:02Speaker 1: versus DG. Stewie's wins. But that's all we got. We'll
- 36:04Speaker 1: come back next week for another fun to stay out
- 36:07Speaker 1: of my fridge. We got a lot of leftovers because
- 36:09Speaker 1: I has done nothing but eat Mountzerella sticks at restaurants
- 36:12Speaker 1: in the last week, so there's a lot of good
- 36:13Speaker 1: stuff in the fridge.
- 36:15Speaker 2: But I want you to make sure.
- 36:16Speaker 1: To stay out of my fridge. That's all we got.
- 36:20Speaker 1: We'll be back next week.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Bye bye bye, good knocking there.
