- 0:23Speaker 3: it's the first time I saw your stand up live
- 0:26Speaker 3: in person.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yes, oh my god, it was just just amazing. Thank
- 0:31Speaker 2: you so much. I appreciate you, mo.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Man. It was good to see the laughing too. I
- 0:35Speaker 1: was dying and I finally saw the significant other and
- 0:38Speaker 1: I see why you married beautiful young lady.
- 0:41Speaker 3: And then you know, it's funny because if you take
- 0:43Speaker 3: your lady or your significant other to a TK show.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You're gonna laugh and your girl might look at you like,
- 0:52Speaker 1: that's so true, that's so true. He's so right, It's
- 0:55Speaker 1: so right. Yeah, but I'm glad that you came out.
- 0:58Speaker 2: It was really good. Look for surely appreciate that.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It's crazy too, man, because I feel like more than
- 1:05Speaker 3: ever comedy, everyone's.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Talking about comedy. Isn't that a great thing?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Shout out to Cat Williams and love Shout out the
- 1:12Speaker 1: cat for bringing coming to the forefront of entertainment. And
- 1:17Speaker 1: if you've been around a long time, you know you're
- 1:19Speaker 1: going to get ten minutes in this game. So you
- 1:23Speaker 1: got to capitalize off this because next week it'll be
- 1:27Speaker 1: something else.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yep, for sure, next week something he's had a choke hold.
- 1:31Speaker 1: The first couple of weeks, a couple of weeks after
- 1:33Speaker 1: New Year, you know, Puffy happy you Uffy's happy, Yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: because we're not talking about him no more. A lot
- 1:39Speaker 1: of people are happy, yeah, everybody. Nobody's happy, yeah, Joe,
- 1:42Speaker 1: but everybody's talking about something else.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So it's it's it's a good moment now for sure.
- 1:47Speaker 3: When you saw the interview, because I don't know if
- 1:49Speaker 3: you watched all of it, because I didn't watch any
- 1:51Speaker 3: of it.
- 1:52Speaker 1: So what I did was I talked to different people,
- 1:55Speaker 1: and I saw different clips, and I was able to
- 1:59Speaker 1: segue and put my own to lots two and a
- 2:02Speaker 1: half hours to that. So I did my own thing
- 2:04Speaker 1: on it. But when at first I had one opinion,
- 2:08Speaker 1: what was that first to other opinion was I felt
- 2:10Speaker 1: I didn't like Shannon shop allowing Kat to talk about
- 2:16Speaker 1: everybody because as a man, I felt like, yo, we
- 2:19Speaker 1: don't do that on this show, he's supposed to stop him.
- 2:22Speaker 2: As a man.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That's how I moved, But then someone told me no,
- 2:25Speaker 1: te those people went on those shows prior to him coming.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Which is almost why he wanted to go.
- 2:31Speaker 1: On exactly, and they talked about him, and that's what
- 2:35Speaker 1: it started.
- 2:36Speaker 2: So then they got what they deserved. Yeah, it was
- 2:38Speaker 2: kind of like fair game at yeah point.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, And I'm here to defend myself and retort
- 2:42Speaker 1: everything that I've been said on the same platform. So
- 2:44Speaker 1: when I saw that, I respected that and I left
- 2:48Speaker 1: it that way.
- 2:48Speaker 3: How much of what Kat was saying, would you say,
- 2:51Speaker 3: is you know, entertainment inflated?
- 2:54Speaker 2: And how much of it?
- 2:55Speaker 3: Because I feel like that there was there was enough
- 2:57Speaker 3: truth in there for people to get to talking. I
- 3:00Speaker 3: feel like there was also certain stuff, like I would.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Say ninety nine percent, well if it was inflated, right,
- 3:05Speaker 1: especially the running the running the forty eight, because I
- 3:08Speaker 1: think I talked about it on the stay talking about
- 3:09Speaker 1: it because what I used to run track, right, I
- 3:11Speaker 1: used to run track like you know, and and if
- 3:14Speaker 1: people don't know something, well you run the track at
- 3:16Speaker 1: seasign out here, I sure was, Yeah, and I was
- 3:18Speaker 1: on my way to the Olympic trials when I was
- 3:20Speaker 1: out here. Wow, And the thing about track and people
- 3:23Speaker 1: don't know it. You believe almost anything. And I tell
- 3:27Speaker 1: people Cat said he could run a four to four
- 3:29Speaker 1: at fifty years old. And I said, Deion Sanders, who
- 3:33Speaker 1: was one of the fastest peop in the world, ran
- 3:35Speaker 1: a four to one when he was twenty something years old, right,
- 3:39Speaker 1: And Cat said he ran that fast with sweats on
- 3:42Speaker 1: as a fifty year old man. As a fifty old man,
- 3:44Speaker 1: you just don't add up. So I put twenty thousand
- 3:47Speaker 1: on the bed out there the race, Cat, Now, it's
- 3:49Speaker 1: not going to be a fast race, but you'll win.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I'll win. It's not gonna be a fast race. If
- 3:55Speaker 1: people are saying four to four is fast, me and
- 3:59Speaker 1: Cat literally we can probably run a forty your dash
- 4:02Speaker 1: and seven seven six ' nine, maybe seven to three several.
- 4:11Speaker 1: That's my prediction. And you haven't a good with the expert.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So I don't know here because I'm sixty three years old.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So in sixty three you're not running a four something.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It's impossible. Or at fifty or fifty I'm not sure
- 4:23Speaker 1: you sained Bolt. Maybe when you say boats fifty maybe
- 4:27Speaker 1: maybe maybe maybe, Yeah, it's fifty six years old.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You ain't run an fs.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Talk about a few of the things you were saying
- 4:36Speaker 3: on stage that I was that I one of the
- 4:39Speaker 3: things I wanted to talk to you about because something
- 4:41Speaker 3: that i'd heard. I've been hearing a lot more people
- 4:44Speaker 3: who are more I guess, financially literate than me. Okay,
- 4:50Speaker 3: talk about how to leverage life insurance?
- 4:54Speaker 2: Good question, ma, man. Well, the insurance game.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Is really because I'm very confused about it, but I've
- 4:59Speaker 3: heard it so many times and people who I know
- 5:01Speaker 3: they're like, yeah, you know, you can get tax free money.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Like so it's a lot of levels of the tax right.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So let's take whole life insurance. Whole life insurance. If
- 5:09Speaker 1: you created a policy, you call you whoever your agent is,
- 5:12Speaker 1: your stay farm, and you say, hey, I want to
- 5:15Speaker 1: open up a whole life insurance policy. Let's just take
- 5:18Speaker 1: a hundred thousand, you put one hundred thousand in and
- 5:21Speaker 1: over of course the time that money will grow so
- 5:25Speaker 1: fast that you become your own bank. So let's say
- 5:28Speaker 1: now you want to get a hundred thousand, and so
- 5:30Speaker 1: you got two eighty thousand, but you want to take
- 5:32Speaker 1: seventy five thousand out to buy car, put business and
- 5:36Speaker 1: business whatever. You can do that and they won't tax
- 5:38Speaker 1: you on the money. What they do is you'll still
- 5:40Speaker 1: pay what you're paying on that policy, but when you
- 5:44Speaker 1: die it comes out, they take it off the top.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Oh so you're almost like borrowing from yourself after you die, exactly,
- 5:52Speaker 1: but it's tax free exactly. That's whole life insurance and
- 5:57Speaker 1: they and these are things I think they should teach
- 5:59Speaker 1: you school.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Right, yeah, because at any given time, if an emergency happens,
- 6:04Speaker 3: or you have a business opportunity present itself, and you
- 6:06Speaker 3: might think to yourself, well I don't have it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You don't have it. But if you had this.
- 6:11Speaker 3: So let's say you get one hundred thousand dollars insurance
- 6:14Speaker 3: policy life insurance policy and.
- 6:16Speaker 1: You want to take five thousand hours ten thousand, you
- 6:18Speaker 1: don't have to pay that back. They they'll take it
- 6:21Speaker 1: when you when you die, as long as you keep
- 6:23Speaker 1: paying your powerty. You got to keep paying the policy. Ye,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you got people came in the policy. But you can
- 6:26Speaker 1: do that. Do people like can you have multiple multiple
- 6:28Speaker 1: life insurance pops?
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, for sure.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Some of you like Derek Jeter has the policy on
- 6:33Speaker 1: everybody and his family.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like, I feel like when you
- 6:37Speaker 3: hear that out loud, it sounds bad as bad why.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yes, right, But it's smart. And people are afraid to
- 6:44Speaker 1: take that insurance good, especially some men. If your wife
- 6:47Speaker 1: or a daughters and dad, we should take out insurance.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Some people say no because you don't want to make
- 6:52Speaker 1: the other person rich. You don't want the other person.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That's the mindset of most people. But in the actuality,
- 6:58Speaker 1: people afraid to create a legacy have to have a
- 7:00Speaker 1: legacy to and that's one of the best ways insurance
- 7:04Speaker 1: to do that if you have, But then structure it too,
- 7:07Speaker 1: because when you get free money, you're.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Gonna run through it.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think that that's that's why most
- 7:13Speaker 3: people they turn eighteen, they get a credit card.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 7:15Speaker 1: If you leave anybody any money and they didn't work
- 7:19Speaker 1: for it, unless they have true discipline or very very frugal,
- 7:23Speaker 1: they running through it, yo, because they never had that
- 7:25Speaker 1: kind of money at one time. Yeah.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Because I know some people will set up like a
- 7:29Speaker 3: trust to pay out your family once you're right, yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 3: you're a certain amount, or you got to do something
- 7:35Speaker 3: like you got to go to school, you got to
- 7:36Speaker 3: get a degree, and you're going to get this payment exactly.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You have to structure it. But I know people that
- 7:42Speaker 1: got millions and ran through it in a couple of years.
- 7:45Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 7:46Speaker 1: One of my female friends and she inherited one point
- 7:51Speaker 1: two million less than a year and a half. It
- 7:54Speaker 1: was going, you know how. He answer was, I had
- 7:57Speaker 1: a good time.
- 7:59Speaker 2: But now what exactly?
- 8:01Speaker 1: And I'm glad you brought that up because the world
- 8:03Speaker 1: needs to hear this, you know. And then you got
- 8:05Speaker 1: a thing called term life insurance. And term life insurance
- 8:08Speaker 1: is like about nine years, you know, but you pay
- 8:11Speaker 1: on it every month. It's protection you want to be.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You want no man should be walking the street without
- 8:16Speaker 1: some sort of insurance just in case you die. You
- 8:20Speaker 1: don't want to put that burden on your family, you know.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So you have term life insurance. But the clever thing
- 8:24Speaker 1: about term life insurance is after nine years, they give
- 8:28Speaker 1: you every dime back of like a saving's account, and
- 8:32Speaker 1: that's called surrender you. They'll send you something in the
- 8:34Speaker 1: mail because you're alive. Yeah, they have, they have.
- 8:37Speaker 2: They send us in the mails that you could surrender
- 8:39Speaker 2: your account. And then sending.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You could fill out the farms, they send you back
- 8:43Speaker 1: all that money every time.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Can you borrow against the term?
- 8:48Speaker 3: But that's just something that is instead of you putting
- 8:51Speaker 3: does it grow in.
- 8:52Speaker 1: That it doesn't grow, but you're protective. But imagine years,
- 8:55Speaker 1: nine years you put.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Something in there.
- 8:58Speaker 3: And also that money isn't it's yours. If you don't die,
- 9:01Speaker 3: you're getting it back.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yes, and if you don't want to be insured anymore.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Right, So let's say six years in you're like, you
- 9:08Speaker 3: know what, I'm good, I need my money back.
- 9:09Speaker 1: No, no, no, that can't won't do it that well, Ok,
- 9:11Speaker 1: they'll tell you when it's time to serve. They want
- 9:14Speaker 1: you to serve into you account. You can't tell them.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You can't say I got this money here. It's not
- 9:18Speaker 1: a bad idea to do a version of both.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 9:21Speaker 1: So the insurance thing, and you want to have burial
- 9:23Speaker 1: insurance is that for when you pass? Yes, because it's
- 9:27Speaker 1: one thing. There's life assurance and you get Bury insurance.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Bury insurance is strictly for the funeral, right, but then
- 9:33Speaker 1: you let the people you love. You could take that
- 9:36Speaker 1: or you could take the money out of the life
- 9:38Speaker 1: insurance policy and pay for the burial. My kids is
- 9:43Speaker 1: all set up, you know, I got my stuff.
- 9:45Speaker 2: That one. I'm not having the funeral, so I'm getting cremated. Boom.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I don't want to even a service. So you've already
- 9:52Speaker 1: thought about all that. Yeah, mostly the our people don't
- 9:54Speaker 1: know your grandparents. At least people I know have their
- 9:57Speaker 1: whole funeral and everything se that.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So for you, you'd rather be premated and then have
- 10:02Speaker 2: your bread.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Is either either cremation or I want my I want
- 10:07Speaker 1: my ashes to become a tree. Oh yeah, or you
- 10:10Speaker 1: put my whole body.
- 10:11Speaker 2: In the ground. And this this thing.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I forgot what my daughter said, and I could grow
- 10:16Speaker 1: as a tree. And if you're in a certain place.
- 10:18Speaker 1: So I'm gonna do something unique and different.
- 10:21Speaker 3: But I feel like a funeral is like a vain
- 10:23Speaker 3: thing to think about having because you're not there.
- 10:27Speaker 2: You're not there.
- 10:28Speaker 1: But you know who did it the best in my lifetime,
- 10:31Speaker 1: Queen Elizabeth m hmm. It was on TV. Yeah, you
- 10:35Speaker 1: saw how heffy you know it was. Did you even
- 10:37Speaker 1: look at it?
- 10:38Speaker 2: I saw some of it. Listen to me.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It was the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It was masterful.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I think that funerals help families grieve. That's true because
- 10:47Speaker 3: it brings everyone together, and you know it helps.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And let me tell you how I look at it.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I lost my mother, my dad, all my brothers who
- 10:55Speaker 1: I was forty. I've been to so many funeral as
- 10:58Speaker 1: you to drive your head crazy as I've gone through life.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You know, people invest in a lot of things, right,
- 11:06Speaker 1: People invest in gasoline, tesla, stock and all that. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: want people to invest in their time. Time is the
- 11:13Speaker 1: most precious commodity that you have that's taking for granted. Sure,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and when I passed, I'm giving the world a gift.
- 11:22Speaker 1: What I'm saying to you, don't come to my feral
- 11:25Speaker 1: this time that you have. Continue doing what you're doing.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Just take a moment to say T to the MFK
- 11:34Speaker 1: and keep it moving because I don't. I'm not saying
- 11:37Speaker 1: that I want to waste your time. I just understand
- 11:40Speaker 1: how powerful time is. And that's my gift to the people.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I want them to really take their time seriously because
- 11:49Speaker 1: could you imagine everybody.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Had a dollar for it all.
- 11:53Speaker 3: The time that they wasted it is crazy and the
- 11:56Speaker 3: amount of things that we can waste our time on
- 11:58Speaker 3: now is greater than ever.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yes, Because there's a terminology most people don't use called
- 12:02Speaker 1: time wasters. We all have met them people in our
- 12:06Speaker 1: life wasting your time, and we always met somebody that
- 12:09Speaker 1: was a time waster.
- 12:10Speaker 3: It's crazy someone who doesn't respect your Yes, yeah, it happens.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a few of those people.
- 12:16Speaker 1: So when I do business on the phone, what I
- 12:19Speaker 1: do is for someone who someone is talking to me
- 12:21Speaker 1: about doing a show. Yo, before we hang up the phone,
- 12:24Speaker 1: you gotta send me two to five thousand dollars. That
- 12:27Speaker 1: way I know you're serious. You're not getting off the
- 12:30Speaker 1: phone with me, and I picked up that call and
- 12:33Speaker 1: you going about your business. You decide you're going to
- 12:35Speaker 1: do something else because you wasted my time. And it
- 12:39Speaker 1: also makes sure that when people reach out to me,
- 12:41Speaker 1: they are prepared. What it is a lot of men,
- 12:44Speaker 1: a lot of people don't know they're not prepared. When
- 12:46Speaker 1: they call you, they'll say, oh, i'm thinking about No,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I'm not the person you think about. When you called me,
- 12:52Speaker 1: you should have been known what you're doing. We're doing this,
- 12:53Speaker 1: we're not doing Yeah, yeah, don't play with me. Do
- 12:56Speaker 1: your homework and then call me right then, do your homework.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Didn't call me. Yeah, I'm too busy and I stay booked.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Well, I was going to say, you mentioned this on stage.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Obviously you did the ice House for the first time ever.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah, first time ever, which it's a legendary comedy venue.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It's been opened sixty some odd years.
- 13:12Speaker 3: But you were kind of you gave us a peek
- 13:14Speaker 3: a bit into like the business side of your deal.
- 13:18Speaker 3: You get a ninety you get ninety percent.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Of the door.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I get ninety, which I think because coming from the
- 13:23Speaker 3: music world, we just think of an artist. They get booked,
- 13:25Speaker 3: they get their money, they get their back end, then
- 13:27Speaker 3: they leave however the show does. However the show does.
- 13:30Speaker 3: But you you're structuring it to where you're the promoter.
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'm actually the promoter.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yep.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I'll put up the money.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Hey, their venue is going to make their ten percent,
- 13:39Speaker 3: and then they're going to make their food and their
- 13:40Speaker 3: liquor and all that.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yep, exactly. But you're going to be able to get
- 13:43Speaker 1: your ticket, be able to get my money back that
- 13:45Speaker 1: I spent to put in for advertising. And I've always
- 13:49Speaker 1: been that way. So when I see is that pretty common?
- 13:52Speaker 2: No?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Okay, most honest feel I think in the music industry,
- 13:58Speaker 1: you got to have an agent because the book and venue.
- 14:00Speaker 1: But in comedy you need people to help you. It's
- 14:03Speaker 1: just that me. You know, me and my son. You
- 14:06Speaker 1: know how we move. So I'm just a guy who
- 14:09Speaker 1: over the years made relationships.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I mean, you can call most of these club owners
- 14:13Speaker 2: at this point, oh yeah, easily.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And that's exactly what I do. And I booked myself
- 14:18Speaker 1: years in advance, like literally right now, I'm booked for
- 14:21Speaker 1: the next ten years. That's crazy, that's insane. I've been
- 14:23Speaker 1: like that my whole career. I always always got to
- 14:26Speaker 1: know what I'm doing next year.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I feel like watching you because I feel like we
- 14:31Speaker 3: get so much of you through podcasts. Yes, but I
- 14:37Speaker 3: feel like you have to have a special on Netflix.
- 14:41Speaker 3: So it's coming because by watching you, brother, like I've
- 14:44Speaker 3: seen everybody live. I'm a comedy nerd, so I'll go
- 14:46Speaker 3: to the store and if one of my if a
- 14:48Speaker 3: comedians in town that I like, I'll pay and I'll
- 14:50Speaker 3: go watch it right now. But watching you live, I
- 14:53Speaker 3: was like, Yo, this is like as much as it's hilarious,
- 14:56Speaker 3: and I'm crying out of my eyes, I like left
- 14:58Speaker 3: with like, I like how you you finished? But then
- 15:01Speaker 3: you said, everyone hang out for another ten minutes so
- 15:05Speaker 3: I can give you guys some game, cause you exactly
- 15:07Speaker 3: you would hit your liker your last joke, but you
- 15:09Speaker 3: were like, we're gonna hang out. But it was very
- 15:11Speaker 3: much like kind of like it was like it was
- 15:15Speaker 3: like a mixture of like, you know, life coaching and
- 15:17Speaker 3: a stand up and I.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Love that feeling.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And when anybody sees me, that's exactly what they take.
- 15:24Speaker 1: My high school coach, who loves everybody from Red Fox
- 15:28Speaker 1: down to Daves Chappelle, he said, he saw my who
- 15:31Speaker 1: raised you special? He said, TK, I've seen them all.
- 15:36Speaker 1: There's nobody like you. So I took the long round.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Since I'm I'm doing Netflix because of people like yourself
- 15:44Speaker 1: and them Spin. I have my own network or tk
- 15:46Speaker 1: dot network, and I have my own specual. I don't
- 15:49Speaker 1: have Many's Kat Williams, but I have my own specials.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Then my own thing did very very well, and I'm
- 15:55Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna do Netflix and I'm working on it now.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Like my deal with Live Nation is set up.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Told me to do my Netflix special and when I
- 16:03Speaker 1: do my netflace, I'm going to do something really unique.
- 16:06Speaker 2: My goal now is to.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I never did any of ice cubes movies, but I
- 16:11Speaker 1: want ice Cube the direct mom because I started with
- 16:13Speaker 1: n Wa. I want to use Baby because he took
- 16:17Speaker 1: me on the Cash Money rough Rider Tour. I want
- 16:20Speaker 1: to use Doctor Dre as one of the producers. I'm
- 16:23Speaker 1: going to give all them a check because I came
- 16:26Speaker 1: up through hip hop. I didn't come up like the
- 16:29Speaker 1: Chris Rocks and the Kevin's. You were working out on
- 16:33Speaker 1: stage in front of a hip hop crowd, right, I
- 16:34Speaker 1: was in front of a hip hop crowd twenty thousand
- 16:37Speaker 1: and thirty thousand in the nineties when we was at
- 16:40Speaker 1: when hip hop was at the top of the game.
- 16:43Speaker 1: And when I do this Netflix special, I wanted to
- 16:49Speaker 1: be so unique. It's so amazing that it has the
- 16:52Speaker 1: same effect of what you just said that when you
- 16:55Speaker 1: lead there or when you watch it, you go, what
- 16:58Speaker 1: did I just witness? And I don't have to do
- 17:01Speaker 1: nothing special. All I gotta do is just be me
- 17:04Speaker 1: and that's what's going to come across.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy too, because I feel like nowadays more
- 17:11Speaker 3: people are trying to do comedy than ever because it's
- 17:13Speaker 3: so easy to get access to Like I could do
- 17:16Speaker 3: a bit and it might not work if I'm doing
- 17:18Speaker 3: it at an open mic, but if I record it
- 17:20Speaker 3: and I make it reel out of it with captions,
- 17:23Speaker 3: it might work online, which is happening a lot. But
- 17:25Speaker 3: I feel like the number one thing is the same
- 17:30Speaker 3: thing with music is the stage presence, your delivery. Like
- 17:34Speaker 3: you had a guy open for you who I thought
- 17:35Speaker 3: was okay, but the host that was hosting your show
- 17:38Speaker 3: was so good. Yes, And what was different about him
- 17:41Speaker 3: than the other guy was I just felt like the
- 17:44Speaker 3: presence of like like he could have said anything, I
- 17:47Speaker 3: would have laughed.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Right, That makes sense, right, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 17:49Speaker 2: he was hilarious.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Delivery presence, but like to me, that's kind of like
- 17:53Speaker 3: for you, it's like like you command that stage man.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's and that's one thing I do know I
- 17:58Speaker 1: have I have on what they call stage for Yeah, yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I definitely have that. So I love it coming through
- 18:04Speaker 1: this week doing the different clubs and having everybody come
- 18:07Speaker 1: up to see me a true blessing. And because the
- 18:10Speaker 1: less since the last time I seen you, I have
- 18:13Speaker 1: skyrocketed on the intermedia game social media. It's a whole
- 18:19Speaker 1: other level and I just really found my niche and
- 18:24Speaker 1: just really waking up in the morning giving my opinion
- 18:27Speaker 1: on something. Right now, I've seen you post like you
- 18:29Speaker 1: have your quotes and have my quotes, and man, it
- 18:33Speaker 1: just really takes off. But in actuality, I'm just you
- 18:38Speaker 1: know me for a while, I'm just really just being me,
- 18:41Speaker 1: and people find that fascinating. So I'm just gonna run
- 18:44Speaker 1: with and see what it does.
- 18:45Speaker 3: You said something, uh that was this a true story
- 18:49Speaker 3: where you said you were you were taking care of
- 18:51Speaker 3: a young lady. She had a place was it in Chicago?
- 18:54Speaker 1: Right?
- 18:54Speaker 2: And you showed up and you were cracking jokes and
- 18:57Speaker 2: some dudes laughing under the bed.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Here's the here's a great thing about those type of jokes. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 1: it's like a magician who can't tell the secret to magic.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That makes sense, you know what I mean? So I
- 19:09Speaker 1: want people to leave.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Is that true? Right? Or is that a real joke?
- 19:15Speaker 1: But then say, you got to really be clever to
- 19:18Speaker 1: come up with something like that, So good, Yes, think.
- 19:21Speaker 3: You talk to me about where like like, do you
- 19:26Speaker 3: even like pay attention to other stand up like if
- 19:29Speaker 3: Dave if Dave Chappelle drops a special what she dropped
- 19:31Speaker 3: on New year's did.
- 19:32Speaker 2: You check it out?
- 19:32Speaker 1: And I didn't check it out. I know he's funny.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I catch Dave and most comedians and bits and pieces,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but I always had this rule, never watch another comic
- 19:43Speaker 1: perform because when they're good, you're going to actually take
- 19:49Speaker 1: something that without even thinking about it.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I don't even think sub conscious.
- 19:54Speaker 1: So when I see comedians watching me, it hurts because
- 19:58Speaker 1: they don't know the rule, because I know my stuff
- 20:00Speaker 1: is funny, and if you watch me, I know you're
- 20:03Speaker 1: going to take something to mind, flip it and break
- 20:06Speaker 1: it down as much as possible.
- 20:08Speaker 2: But you got it from me.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I know you had said before that you've had some
- 20:15Speaker 1: bits stolen ish.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I had.
- 20:19Speaker 1: In my days, of younger days, I used to do
- 20:23Speaker 1: a thing called things Questions, series of questions matter of
- 20:26Speaker 1: fact we had we've been trying to find it. I
- 20:28Speaker 1: did it on the Apollo, I did it everywhere, and
- 20:30Speaker 1: it was a series of questions. I go, why a
- 20:32Speaker 1: lucky child so magically delicious? And where is the honeycomb
- 20:36Speaker 1: hide out? Is it downtown? And why do old people
- 20:39Speaker 1: walk her early in the morning? Do they have somewhere
- 20:42Speaker 1: to go? And it was like a series it got me.
- 20:43Speaker 1: It got me a stand in elevation at the Apollo
- 20:47Speaker 1: in New York City. So what I told people that
- 20:50Speaker 1: our City Hall, all his staff they took that bit,
- 20:54Speaker 1: flipped it and made it things that make you go
- 20:56Speaker 1: hm mm hmm. And I told people that my foundation
- 21:01Speaker 1: of that material went on to make people hundreds and
- 21:04Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars. And what I mean by that is
- 21:07Speaker 1: our Cenal Hall did it. But if you google, there
- 21:10Speaker 1: was a group called C and C Music Factory that
- 21:14Speaker 1: did a song that things that make You Go. Then
- 21:17Speaker 1: Crafts and Macaroni and Cheese also did a commercial and
- 21:23Speaker 1: they used the cheese as it was melting and in
- 21:26Speaker 1: the background the song was things that make You Go Home,
- 21:29Speaker 1: saying that the macaroni and cheese was so delicious it.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Would make you go.
- 21:34Speaker 1: All that came from TK and I just never I
- 21:38Speaker 1: just never checked about it. But I moved different than
- 21:40Speaker 1: most people.
- 21:41Speaker 2: For sure. For sure, you're not I mean, you're not petty.
- 21:43Speaker 2: I'm not petty. Yeah, I'm not petty. Most of these
- 21:46Speaker 2: guys are petty. Most of these guys are petty.
- 21:47Speaker 1: There's a they ego driven.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I don't really care about that. I did my thing.
- 21:52Speaker 1: I'm working, and I've always been this way. I've never
- 21:56Speaker 1: been petty. And I tell people that if someone steals
- 22:01Speaker 1: your joke, actually called that person as a man and say, yo,
- 22:07Speaker 1: you you're doing my bit, and let me tell you
- 22:11Speaker 1: how it's exactly like mine. Oh, I saw you at
- 22:13Speaker 1: my show and you saw me do that, which is
- 22:16Speaker 1: even worse. He's even worse because now you're being disrespectful.
- 22:22Speaker 1: But to actually go on air and say someone stole
- 22:24Speaker 1: my joke because it's not their set. Well, we've seen
- 22:28Speaker 1: people like really have their careers hit a wall because
- 22:34Speaker 1: of the joke stealing. Yes, but let me tell you
- 22:36Speaker 1: what I mean. I'm glad you're bringing this up. There's
- 22:38Speaker 1: a difference between a set and a joke. Okay, your
- 22:42Speaker 1: set is what you do for sixty minutes, right, That's
- 22:45Speaker 1: that's your whole, that's your whole act. No one's stealing that, right.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Someone stole a one minute joke. So if you had
- 22:54Speaker 1: fifteen thousand in the bank, right, and someone stole one
- 22:57Speaker 1: thousand dollars at that fifty, you're.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Not gonna get rid of the rest the money. Right.
- 23:02Speaker 1: So I can't tell another comic what he should be
- 23:05Speaker 1: mad about my purpose of these interviews that I'm doing
- 23:10Speaker 1: is to give people another way to see something. Okay,
- 23:14Speaker 1: what is a joke? And people's like, oh, you stole
- 23:16Speaker 1: this joking. It makes sense you stole this whole show.
- 23:19Speaker 1: But in actually wality, you just stot a joke. You
- 23:20Speaker 1: didn't steal the set. A joke don't make you.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Your set makes you.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Why don't you film your sets for social media like
- 23:30Speaker 3: other comedians are doing.
- 23:32Speaker 1: One is because I don't want other comics to see it.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And two, there's magic on stage with me?
- 23:39Speaker 2: There is? Do you agree? I agree? There's magic. Agree,
- 23:43Speaker 2: And I don't want to.
- 23:44Speaker 1: See it again because every time there's a new beginning.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Every show that I do is a different show. And
- 23:52Speaker 1: if you see one, if you see your set, guess
- 23:55Speaker 1: what you're going to try to repeat that again. So
- 23:58Speaker 1: I take what I do track and anything in life.
- 24:01Speaker 1: When I ran track and I was good, just because
- 24:05Speaker 1: I was good last week don't mean I'm be good
- 24:08Speaker 1: this week. So I took that through my whole life.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And just because I was funny when you saw me,
- 24:14Speaker 1: that don't matter no more. Can I be funny tonight?
- 24:17Speaker 1: But you gotta find different ways to say, whin if
- 24:21Speaker 1: you had to be a boxer, right, if you're a boxer,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you know you could beat this person. But you know what, today,
- 24:26Speaker 1: I'm tired. I can't deliver that same energy. Well, the
- 24:31Speaker 1: audience is different. But if you still find a way
- 24:34Speaker 1: to be clever, still find a way to be funny, entertaining.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, work in the crowd, the crowd sitting in front.
- 24:41Speaker 3: You were clowning on these guys in the front road.
- 24:43Speaker 2: The young was hilarious. God, it was hilarious.
- 24:46Speaker 1: And as long as the people walk out entertained.
- 24:50Speaker 2: You were hilarious.
- 24:52Speaker 3: So I think the other end of that is, or
- 24:55Speaker 3: the other side of that coin is if I saw
- 24:58Speaker 3: you do what you did to those kids, yes, they
- 25:00Speaker 3: were sitting in the front row, that there was three
- 25:02Speaker 3: single young men. If I saw that on TikTok or
- 25:07Speaker 3: on Instagram and I didn't know who you were, I'd
- 25:10Speaker 3: be like, yo, I need to follow this guy. That
- 25:12Speaker 3: was great, and then I might be inclined to go
- 25:15Speaker 3: see you live.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Absolutely, because there are some comedians who do the crowd
- 25:20Speaker 1: work and they showld that, but when you go see him,
- 25:22Speaker 1: they're not that funny because that's not the same situation.
- 25:25Speaker 1: That's going to happen that night. True, because the crowd
- 25:27Speaker 1: is always going to be different.
- 25:28Speaker 2: It's always going to be different because.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Like you see, like have you heard of Matt Rife?
- 25:32Speaker 2: No, I haven't.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So Matt Rife he's doing like he's had a very
- 25:39Speaker 3: insane come up the last twelve months. So he has
- 25:42Speaker 3: he has a Netflix special, but he blew up off
- 25:44Speaker 3: of his crowd work bits going viral on his Instagram.
- 25:49Speaker 1: And he's a good looking young Okay, oh I know
- 25:51Speaker 1: somebody used to manage him. Okay, yeah, you just talking
- 25:53Speaker 1: about him last time looking young guy.
- 25:57Speaker 3: But he's very much new and I mean it's a
- 26:01Speaker 3: meteoric kind of rise in the comedy where I've heard
- 26:04Speaker 3: other comedians talk about it like, you know, like it's
- 26:07Speaker 3: kind of unparalleled how fast he's come up. Yes, because
- 26:09Speaker 3: he didn't have to go through the bumps and bruises,
- 26:12Speaker 3: you know, perform for ten people.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Right, and before you even tell me what happens, I
- 26:16Speaker 1: can tell you what how his career is. When you
- 26:18Speaker 1: watch him, I bet you he's not that funny. Well
- 26:21Speaker 1: it'saw u standable. It was it was it was okay, yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 1: it was mediocre because not that he won't be funny, right,
- 26:27Speaker 1: he hasn't put the time, and it's the time. To
- 26:30Speaker 1: be a great comic, you need years of experience. You
- 26:34Speaker 1: have to experience life. You have to go through things.
- 26:37Speaker 1: That's why when you saw Richard Pryor, he talked about
- 26:39Speaker 1: his drugs, his situation. What made it funny because he
- 26:43Speaker 1: was living life. If you're twenty something years old, you
- 26:47Speaker 1: ain't lived, right. You talk about sneakers and condoms maybe
- 26:52Speaker 1: and smoking a little weed, but you haven't lived.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And when you have lived and you.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Have experience to experience, that's the experience.
- 27:01Speaker 2: It keeps you more material.
- 27:02Speaker 3: It's almost like if you're once you're a rapper, It's
- 27:05Speaker 3: like once you hit a certain level of success, it
- 27:07Speaker 3: gets harder and harder to draw inspiration to make music
- 27:10Speaker 3: that is relatable to that.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Absolutely, because you're older now and rapping, believe it or not,
- 27:15Speaker 1: is a young kids game.
- 27:17Speaker 3: It's almost like when jay Z did four four four,
- 27:19Speaker 3: it was like, oh shit, right, he made like an
- 27:22Speaker 3: album for like a forty year old motherfucker, who right,
- 27:25Speaker 3: doing grown man, which is hard to do and it
- 27:27Speaker 3: be accepted.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yep, Yeah, it's so true.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's how that the game is. But it's
- 27:34Speaker 1: good to see when I started in nineteen eighty five,
- 27:37Speaker 1: it's good to see so many different ways you can
- 27:40Speaker 1: make it in this business, like the gentleman you talking about,
- 27:42Speaker 1: or for CrowdWork.
- 27:44Speaker 2: It's also great to see that.
- 27:48Speaker 1: The audience, the fans, are starting to tell what is
- 27:52Speaker 1: a gimmick? Mmm.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I feel like the gimmicks are going away. It's about
- 27:56Speaker 2: the It's about the jokes.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's about quality because they're getting tired of being
- 28:02Speaker 1: played that. I saw you on TikTok. He was hilarious,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and I come to your show. I spent one hundred
- 28:09Speaker 1: seventy five dollars two hundred dollars and I didn't get
- 28:14Speaker 1: what I wanted out of your show. It's like fifty
- 28:17Speaker 1: fifty cent is going these world tours. I know, these
- 28:20Speaker 1: young rappers came canceling, got a and canceling it.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I saw I went to the fifty tour and I
- 28:26Speaker 3: was like, you know, I've been to shows that were better.
- 28:31Speaker 3: I've been to shows that I understand as a younger man,
- 28:33Speaker 3: you know, as a younger hip hop fan. But I
- 28:36Speaker 3: don't remember a show in the last ten years that
- 28:38Speaker 3: I was more just I just had such a good time.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Wow, because I was like, he gives a great show, fifty.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Is an amazing performer, and he's like, we don't We're
- 28:49Speaker 1: like like that era, we don't get to see those
- 28:52Speaker 1: guys tour.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Right, that's so true anymore? Right, yeap.
- 28:55Speaker 3: So it's like, you know, to get a fifty cent
- 28:57Speaker 3: tour where he's doing Get Richard, I trying and it's
- 29:00Speaker 3: just like it just took me back. It was like,
- 29:01Speaker 3: you know, like we don't get those mega mega mega
- 29:05Speaker 3: hip like you were talking about the cash money Reference store,
- 29:07Speaker 3: like the days of that shit is like people were
- 29:10Speaker 3: It's like, I feel like everything feels like a cash grab.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I totally agree. And that's sad.
- 29:14Speaker 1: And even in the comedy world, it's a cash grab.
- 29:17Speaker 1: People will come to your show, like I don't charge
- 29:19Speaker 1: to take pictures after the show, and people will charge
- 29:23Speaker 1: you all that money meet and Greek meet. Yeah, you
- 29:27Speaker 1: charge them for meeting greet. That's a cash grab. And
- 29:31Speaker 1: it's deeper than that. To me, it's deeping that I'm saying,
- 29:34Speaker 1: thank you, let me shake.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Your hand and I'll see you next time. I'll see
- 29:38Speaker 2: you next time.
- 29:38Speaker 1: I want to hold you, I want to hug you
- 29:40Speaker 1: because I want you to come back, and I want
- 29:43Speaker 1: you to know I appreciate you spending your hard earned money.
- 29:47Speaker 2: To come see me.
- 29:48Speaker 1: You had to go get a babysitter, you had to
- 29:50Speaker 1: tell somebody you'll be back in a few hours, gonna go.
- 29:54Speaker 2: See TK kirkle.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I understand all that. I don't want to rob you
- 29:58Speaker 1: like that. You know, I want to try you for
- 30:00Speaker 1: my tickets, give you a great show and have them
- 30:04Speaker 1: leave the same way. Be a memory, you take a
- 30:05Speaker 1: picture exactly.
- 30:07Speaker 2: You know.
- 30:07Speaker 1: So that was it, and you were so genuine because
- 30:10Speaker 1: you know, you could look someone in their eyes, and
- 30:12Speaker 1: when you came out of the show, I just saw
- 30:14Speaker 1: it in your face like you was truly plead for sure. Yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 1: you know, and that's what I love.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that was what I mean.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Like I said, dude, I like going to the store
- 30:23Speaker 3: sometimes because I'll be able to watch like ten guys, right,
- 30:25Speaker 3: I'll be able to eat wings, have drinks right, right,
- 30:27Speaker 3: maybe like three of the ten.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I love you, yes, right, But to like sit down
- 30:31Speaker 1: and just be like, oh shit, this I felt like
- 30:33Speaker 1: I just went to church, right, Yeah I was. I
- 30:36Speaker 1: get on it. I get on it, and like I said,
- 30:38Speaker 1: I dropped the knowledge. Then you saw the fun, Then
- 30:41Speaker 1: you saw the personality. Then you saw the appreciation, meaning
- 30:45Speaker 1: shaking your hands after what saying thank you like a pastor.
- 30:49Speaker 3: For sure, that's what it was. What would be the
- 30:51Speaker 3: advice you would give. Let's say there's a stand up
- 30:55Speaker 3: but just started. They're going to open mics, trying to
- 30:56Speaker 3: improve their trying to improve the craft. You know, so
- 31:00Speaker 3: it feels like a very very uphill battle to break
- 31:04Speaker 3: through to actually kind of eventually make money.
- 31:07Speaker 2: That's so true, you know, Yeah, you're right.
- 31:09Speaker 3: So I guess, I guess what for you would be
- 31:12Speaker 3: the advice you would give, because it's this is not
- 31:15Speaker 3: a sprint.
- 31:15Speaker 1: No, you got to know who you are. And Paul
- 31:18Speaker 1: Mooney said it best when I first started and I
- 31:21Speaker 1: was asking questions just like that, and he said, TK,
- 31:25Speaker 1: there's no substitute for experience. You got to put the
- 31:29Speaker 1: work in. Forty years ago, this would it seemed like
- 31:33Speaker 1: a lifetime, right, It's like a ten thousand hours thing exactly.
- 31:37Speaker 1: You can't cheat the work. And then you if I
- 31:40Speaker 1: could tell people, if you if you know how to
- 31:42Speaker 1: handle your own business, try to handle your own money,
- 31:45Speaker 1: try to book yourself if you come into some money
- 31:49Speaker 1: and you're funny, start booking out your own venues and
- 31:53Speaker 1: get as a team, and you could really sell your
- 31:56Speaker 1: your own tickets and go to certain cities and book yourself.
- 32:02Speaker 1: But people go, they get an agent and ages, some
- 32:05Speaker 1: ages just robbing the kids.
- 32:07Speaker 2: They don't understand it. You know.
- 32:09Speaker 1: We talk about Taraji Henderson who is Henderson Henson? Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: and how she did a movie. The budget was one
- 32:19Speaker 1: hundred and sixty seven million, but she only got one
- 32:22Speaker 1: hundred and fifty thousand of a hundred. You ain't even
- 32:25Speaker 1: in that business. But you know that ain't a fair deal.
- 32:27Speaker 1: God's crazy, for sure. You know that anfair deal, especially
- 32:32Speaker 1: when you are in the top three co stars. Has
- 32:36Speaker 1: Cube ever tried to put you in something? Here's the
- 32:39Speaker 1: thing about earlier, and I need people to know something.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Q put a lot of people on tons, Chris Tucker,
- 32:46Speaker 1: Kat Williams, Kat Williams, Mike Apps. But I want everybody
- 32:50Speaker 1: to know that easy e in ice Q. I was
- 32:54Speaker 1: their first comic, their first out of everybody, I was
- 32:58Speaker 1: there first because they found me in nineteen eighty eight.
- 33:02Speaker 1: These other kids, these other guys are fifteen, sixteen years old.
- 33:06Speaker 1: They took me on the first torch straight out of Compton.
- 33:09Speaker 1: The thing that I didn't do like most comedians, I
- 33:12Speaker 1: didn't go Hollywood. I didn't want to audition. I didn't
- 33:16Speaker 1: want to do TV. Everything I did, from Baller Blocking
- 33:19Speaker 1: to New Jersey Drive to Ben Diesel's Moving Straights, I
- 33:22Speaker 1: was invited to do. I was invited, got my money
- 33:26Speaker 1: because that person truly wanted me. My philosophy was, I
- 33:32Speaker 1: think it's difficult to go to do it audition. True,
- 33:36Speaker 1: you know you're good for that part, but there's forty
- 33:39Speaker 1: four thousand men going up for the same part you
- 33:43Speaker 1: are going after, and you gotta take a chance to
- 33:49Speaker 1: do that. I never had that kind of time. I
- 33:52Speaker 1: came up as a hustler.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Because you're shooting, You're really shooting shots, hoping one goes in. Eventually,
- 33:57Speaker 3: let's to get apart.
- 33:57Speaker 2: That's it and be great.
- 34:00Speaker 1: But maybe this person had a bigger name than you,
- 34:03Speaker 1: and that person was nowhere near your talent, but because
- 34:06Speaker 1: of politics, they gave it to that person.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Well, it's almost like when you were originally coming up,
- 34:13Speaker 2: it was all about trying to get on.
- 34:14Speaker 1: TV right right, If you commediate, if you can get
- 34:17Speaker 1: a sitcom. I never want to do a sitcom. I
- 34:20Speaker 1: had somebody approach me about doing the sitcom this weekend.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah, because you do not do this thing
- 34:25Speaker 1: called homeowners association, you know.
- 34:28Speaker 2: And they was like, you said, that's what you said.
- 34:30Speaker 1: You said, I'm president of the homeowners association. And they said,
- 34:34Speaker 1: t that's a great TV show.
- 34:36Speaker 2: And it is. Though, it is a great TV show.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But the thing about what I know, I understand reality
- 34:43Speaker 1: blacks on TV is not the move. Really, it's hard
- 34:52Speaker 1: to have all black show on ABC. Some of the
- 34:55Speaker 1: best cvs the shows are back in the nineties, it
- 34:58Speaker 1: was black was Anthony Anderson.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's very rare. Think about it for a second.
- 35:05Speaker 2: That's very rare. I like Top Boy, Top Boys on that.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Think what I'm about to tell you. We might get
- 35:11Speaker 1: one black shell now.
- 35:13Speaker 2: The Shy is good though, yeah on Showtime.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah that's not a comedy though, no comedy, yeah, just
- 35:20Speaker 1: about its comedy.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I feel like those shows are I feel like unfortunately,
- 35:23Speaker 3: like comedy sitcoms are just like dying, it's dyed.
- 35:26Speaker 2: There's more.
- 35:27Speaker 1: The reality TV shows have replaced sickcom and and it's
- 35:31Speaker 1: cheaper to produce.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Way cheaper. To produce.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So everything now is cheaper to do, but the person's
- 35:39Speaker 1: putting out the money is walking away with a lot
- 35:41Speaker 1: more if they did a sitcom. I just never wanted
- 35:45Speaker 1: to get caught up in bad negotiation. I never wanted
- 35:51Speaker 1: to get caught up in not feeling I was getting
- 35:54Speaker 1: paid my work.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I have to prove something.
- 35:56Speaker 1: TK do that and then we could get you.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Now I'm already proven myself. Yeah, I'm not doing like
- 36:01Speaker 3: my self. Worth isn't the weather or And I haven't.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Really done TV and I got a little bit more
- 36:08Speaker 1: paper than people that have done it. But I've done
- 36:11Speaker 1: it myself. I cut out the middle man. It's like
- 36:13Speaker 1: my man on American Gangster what's his name? You're talking
- 36:18Speaker 1: about a friend, Zel Frank. You cut out the middle man.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I've cut out the middle man.
- 36:25Speaker 3: So but but this is the thing, right because I
- 36:27Speaker 3: feel like the other way to look at it would
- 36:30Speaker 3: be if you are if you can, if you can
- 36:33Speaker 3: get a successful TV show. Again, that's a big if
- 36:36Speaker 3: because most shows only last one to two seasons.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Right, can't That's the thing.
- 36:40Speaker 1: If you can, if you can the royalties, if you
- 36:44Speaker 1: can get seven years, you got a cash cow for
- 36:47Speaker 1: the rest of your life. The reruns are going to
- 36:50Speaker 1: piss the reruns, right, but it's very especially now. Maybe
- 36:53Speaker 1: in the nineties you had a better chance.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Right now it's way harder. Now it's way hard. You
- 36:57Speaker 2: got to kind of do more of a serious show
- 36:58Speaker 2: or like a hybrid like drama.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm going to try to do I got
- 37:03Speaker 1: something that works with Tim's story.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Tim story.
- 37:06Speaker 1: We've done all the major movies back in the day,
- 37:08Speaker 1: the a couple of Marvel movies, et cetera. He's a
- 37:14Speaker 1: young brother that I met in Chicago be where he
- 37:16Speaker 1: got famous, and as you know, I've met everybody.
- 37:20Speaker 2: So he's one of my guys.
- 37:21Speaker 1: And I caught his attention because of my Instagram and
- 37:24Speaker 1: he said, TK, just like you, he said, the way
- 37:30Speaker 1: you tell a story, your presence, He said, I.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Gotta do something with you.
- 37:35Speaker 1: So he's also on one of the guys that I
- 37:39Speaker 1: might direct my special for Netflix because Cube was probably
- 37:43Speaker 1: gonna turn it down, but.
- 37:45Speaker 2: But you go out of respect.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I just want to share that with them because before
- 37:50Speaker 1: all this got too weird, it was.
- 37:53Speaker 2: It was t K.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Kirkland number one on the list in hip hop. That's
- 37:56Speaker 1: what I wanted The world to know too, because I
- 37:59Speaker 1: was the original hip hop comedian. When I started, there
- 38:02Speaker 1: was nobody doing some tours.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, because you kind of paid the way for
- 38:06Speaker 3: guys like Alex Thomas, who did.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Exactly Yeah, and Alex is my man. You know, Alex
- 38:10Speaker 1: came to when Alex started doing stand up comedy, he
- 38:13Speaker 1: came to actually talk to me like I was that
- 38:15Speaker 1: guy to talk to, and I explained to him and
- 38:18Speaker 1: the rest is History's doing well and I love that
- 38:21Speaker 1: I had something to do with that.
- 38:22Speaker 2: What was it like being in baller Blocking, which is
- 38:25Speaker 2: a hood classic?
- 38:25Speaker 1: Obviously all the black was amazing and that all happened
- 38:29Speaker 1: because of jay Z and Nelly. Yeah, because I was
- 38:33Speaker 1: on the Hard Knock Life tour and that I left it.
- 38:36Speaker 1: There was another tour that Nelly and then was doing.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I was on that talk I got the name of it,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and no, it was jay Z.
- 38:41Speaker 2: It was jay Z. Yeah, it was Rocked.
- 38:43Speaker 1: It was Rocked.
- 38:45Speaker 2: We were in New Orleans.
- 38:47Speaker 1: And Baby and them was there and Baby walked.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Up to me.
- 38:51Speaker 1: It was the Sprite Remix tour. Yeah, whatever, it was,
- 38:54Speaker 1: the sp Remixed tour.
- 38:55Speaker 2: It was Nelly and jay Z. It was I think
- 38:56Speaker 2: it was the Sprite Tour.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Nelly was on it. Jay Z was on it,
- 38:59Speaker 1: I think, and I was the host of that too,
- 39:01Speaker 1: and Baby walked up to me and you know how
- 39:03Speaker 1: they took said whatever wall they Yeah, he said, listen,
- 39:05Speaker 1: I'm doing this movie. Go ball of blocking and the
- 39:08Speaker 1: rest is history. And I got to and enjoy his
- 39:13Speaker 1: energy because he was either he had just came into
- 39:16Speaker 1: a lot of money. He was shopping not for one person,
- 39:21Speaker 1: he was shopping for fifteen twenty people shopping clothes.
- 39:26Speaker 2: And I remember my homie was well.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I remember at one time he bought four Bentley's at
- 39:30Speaker 1: one time at one time. So he was so generous
- 39:35Speaker 1: and in the in that era that I feel like
- 39:39Speaker 1: before like scamming was popping to get four Bentley's is crazy, yo.
- 39:43Speaker 1: And this is when Bentley's really rise came out. For sure,
- 39:46Speaker 1: there was. It was truly a massive statement.
- 39:49Speaker 2: You had a Bentley you could see it Bentley now
- 39:51Speaker 2: rolling around out. Yeah.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But then nineteen ninety eight nobody.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Had Bentley's Nobody.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're all in the I remember, like I said,
- 40:00Speaker 1: we was hold in the car dealership and he's buying
- 40:03Speaker 1: the cars. And you know, sometimes you don't look at someone.
- 40:06Speaker 1: They might just be in a good mood and pick you. Yeah,
- 40:09Speaker 1: so I told them home, you don't look at him.
- 40:10Speaker 2: You might get us a car. Know what, mae get
- 40:16Speaker 2: us a car?
- 40:17Speaker 1: Well, you know it didn't happen, but it was hilarious.
- 40:20Speaker 1: That's how generous baby is. So you know I can
- 40:24Speaker 1: always say that about him. Uh.
- 40:26Speaker 3: I appreciate your perspective on the dichotomy between men and
- 40:32Speaker 3: women and relationships. And I have to ask you. Uh,
- 40:35Speaker 3: I'm going to present a scenario to you, and I
- 40:37Speaker 3: want your take on it.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, Let's say you're fifty years old. Yes, you
- 40:46Speaker 2: get divorced.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Yes, within Uh, Let's say you meet a young lady
- 40:52Speaker 3: who's thirty one. Right, you're fifty, she's thirty one. Four
- 40:57Speaker 3: to five weeks later, you're with this young lady and
- 41:00Speaker 3: you have decided to get her name tattooed on your
- 41:04Speaker 3: body four to five times.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Wow, that's that's that's insane. Okay, Yeah, that's insane because
- 41:14Speaker 1: you're a free man. Finally, you're a free man. But
- 41:17Speaker 1: what most men do. They look for the most difficult
- 41:20Speaker 1: thing to do in their life. They instead of taking
- 41:22Speaker 1: an easy route, most men will go down a path
- 41:24Speaker 1: of difficulty and set themselves up for pain again. And
- 41:29Speaker 1: some people may be unnecessary unnecessary stress because if you're
- 41:34Speaker 1: fifty and you got a girl that's thirty, she still
- 41:38Speaker 1: hasn't lived yet. So all you can do is, you know,
- 41:41Speaker 1: you dig it down, you take a shop and buy
- 41:43Speaker 1: she feels good, and because she's still a child right
- 41:47Speaker 1: thirty one, she hasn't lived. So in today's world, that's
- 41:51Speaker 1: called a simp in a sense because these girls don't
- 41:55Speaker 1: they don't respect a man like that, if it was
- 41:59Speaker 1: a sixty something you're a woman, or like even a
- 42:01Speaker 1: forty five girls, even forty five thirty one, with the
- 42:03Speaker 1: way the world is today, just to have that there
- 42:07Speaker 1: on the phone talking about the man.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Who they're pretty used pretty much using. You're like, oh, yeah,
- 42:13Speaker 2: he brought me this, he brought me that.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, because of a woman who's like actually
- 42:18Speaker 3: understands the way the world works already. Would look at
- 42:21Speaker 3: somebody who would get four tattoos on their body in
- 42:23Speaker 3: four weeks of their name and be a.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Little absolutely something. He's something wrong with him, he's crazy.
- 42:31Speaker 1: He's a psycho. Yeah, man, you know you're talking about
- 42:35Speaker 1: it and and the thing that I wanted to make
- 42:38Speaker 1: sure you don't know he's here. He's here, ladies. I
- 42:42Speaker 1: didn't I didn't want to change who I was with
- 42:47Speaker 1: my answers. No, that's just the answer here because in fact,
- 42:50Speaker 1: because I could have easily lied and been something else.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Because I know he needs to hear it. I've been
- 42:54Speaker 1: trying to tell him this. Yeah, you don't you, you
- 42:57Speaker 1: don't you. No, we don't do that. I'm saying this
- 43:00Speaker 1: by myself. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm sorry.
- 43:03Speaker 2: I know. But the thing is that.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You have to learn how to enjoy life, and you
- 43:12Speaker 1: gotta love yourself so much.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Yes, you gotta love yourself. Yeah, I think so.
- 43:18Speaker 3: So this is the thing, right, That's why I've been
- 43:19Speaker 3: telling a lot of people in general. I just told
- 43:21Speaker 3: it to my guy right here, Cyrus. Your self worth
- 43:28Speaker 3: and how you feel about yourself can never depend on
- 43:32Speaker 3: anything that anyone else.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Can lose if you do it.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Always, if you wake up in the morning and your
- 43:38Speaker 3: happiness is determined on what a B or c feels
- 43:42Speaker 3: about you or how you're gonna lose in life.
- 43:45Speaker 1: And when you date someone that young, you're really you're
- 43:49Speaker 1: really destroying their life and let me saying to what
- 43:52Speaker 1: I mean, when a man knows he's dating a younger woman,
- 43:57Speaker 1: you're really stopping her growth in life because a real
- 44:01Speaker 1: g is baby, you're too young. I want you to
- 44:04Speaker 1: explore life. You gotta bump your head. You have to
- 44:08Speaker 1: go through things like I give you this dick, yeah,
- 44:10Speaker 1: but and a motivational speech. Right, But that's all I
- 44:14Speaker 1: can give you. Because I care about you so much,
- 44:17Speaker 1: I don't want to take away your experience. And here's
- 44:19Speaker 1: one of the things I use. I always talk about
- 44:22Speaker 1: trying to date me is like trying to get into Harvard.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Everybody's not gonna get accepted. You have to have experience
- 44:29Speaker 1: in life to appreciate the kind of man that I am.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Because if you don't have no experiences, you have no
- 44:35Speaker 1: idea the gift that you have right here. But if
- 44:38Speaker 1: you bumped your head through life a few times, you
- 44:42Speaker 1: do times, and then you meet a successful man who
- 44:47Speaker 1: has benefits, who can contribute to your life, You're gonna
- 44:52Speaker 1: appreciate Because when I was young, I used to I've
- 44:54Speaker 1: always been successful, and I've been through stages. I've taken
- 44:57Speaker 1: care of the men's kids, uh, brought women cars I've
- 45:02Speaker 1: been through. And the thing that I remember one time,
- 45:05Speaker 1: I always wanted to have somebody.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Who was struggling, because you get save them. I could
- 45:11Speaker 2: save them. Yeah, because that made me feel good. Well,
- 45:14Speaker 2: we have some problems, let me take let me let
- 45:16Speaker 2: me have. Hey, you know your daycare?
- 45:18Speaker 1: Got it?
- 45:19Speaker 2: I got it? That made you feel good? Sure, for sure,
- 45:21Speaker 2: I've been there. When you grow up.
- 45:25Speaker 1: And you really understand, it's not about you want a
- 45:29Speaker 1: woman to be physically beautiful, of course, but what's your character.
- 45:34Speaker 1: You want a woman to be beautiful, and what's your character?
- 45:38Speaker 1: But what have you accomplished in your life prior to
- 45:41Speaker 1: meeting me? Because once you get a certain age and
- 45:45Speaker 1: I understan see, knowledge is a gift for the curse
- 45:48Speaker 1: marriage to me, unless you know who you are. It
- 45:51Speaker 1: is for people who don't understand life because you go
- 45:54Speaker 1: through all the dumb shit. But when you knowledge, well,
- 45:57Speaker 1: you know how your wife or husband's supposed to be,
- 46:00Speaker 1: your girlfriend, the boy supposed to be. You know how
- 46:02Speaker 1: to act, open the door, bring things, contribute to a relationship,
- 46:06Speaker 1: pouring to me as I pour into you. As you
- 46:09Speaker 1: get older, it's not about the bodies. About this word
- 46:12Speaker 1: called safe or sexual can you talk to me and
- 46:16Speaker 1: we have connection, because as you get old, that's what
- 46:19Speaker 1: makes sex better because of the way a woman spoke
- 46:22Speaker 1: to you, like, oh my god, baby, I'm like what
- 46:25Speaker 1: you said. You know, there's some women that can just
- 46:28Speaker 1: motivate a man. Let's use Rocky when he was getting
- 46:31Speaker 1: his button looked and his wife was in there and
- 46:36Speaker 1: she said come here, and he's like, boy, she said,
- 46:39Speaker 1: come here, she said.
- 46:41Speaker 2: When he ran out of that damn house.
- 46:45Speaker 1: So how to do him push ups with one arm?
- 46:49Speaker 2: For sure?
- 46:50Speaker 1: Running up had the logs on him, jumping up and
- 46:53Speaker 1: down because this woman had motivated him to a whole
- 46:58Speaker 1: nother level. A thirty thirty one year old girl who
- 47:02Speaker 1: walks around and says that she's a woman because based
- 47:05Speaker 1: on experiences that she has is not a woman. You
- 47:08Speaker 1: could only become a woman with experiences. And no matter
- 47:12Speaker 1: what you've gone through at thirty one, if you live
- 47:15Speaker 1: to be forty five, you gotta be smarter than you
- 47:19Speaker 1: was at thirty one. Yeah, if you live to be
- 47:22Speaker 1: sixty something years old, you're gonna be smarter than you
- 47:25Speaker 1: was at forty five years old. True, So life is
- 47:29Speaker 1: this great experience of experiences, turmoil, pitfalls highs.
- 47:38Speaker 3: What age did you decide? If you're petty? If you
- 47:44Speaker 3: show me that pettiness, I pull the plug.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I think it started in my forties because I think,
- 47:50Speaker 1: like I said, if you don't really know knowledge, you
- 47:52Speaker 1: don't really have life experience.
- 47:53Speaker 2: You don't know. But then you saw it.
- 47:55Speaker 1: You get a girl, she argues with you about something
- 48:00Speaker 1: I did.
- 48:00Speaker 2: What it is?
- 48:01Speaker 1: So now you run it out like you got a
- 48:02Speaker 1: big argument. You're getting flowers, You're getting all this kind
- 48:06Speaker 1: of stuff because there's something wrong with her. And most
- 48:10Speaker 1: men don't take the time to figure it out. They
- 48:13Speaker 1: just deal with it. They with it, He'll just deal
- 48:15Speaker 1: with it. Most men are afraid to leave a cute
- 48:17Speaker 1: girl because they know they probably can't get another girl.
- 48:20Speaker 1: They got lucky with this one, so they snatch it
- 48:23Speaker 1: up or become jealous or over possessive because they feel, oh,
- 48:28Speaker 1: I can't get no better than this. I'm here to
- 48:30Speaker 1: tell any man about a woman. You can do better.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Things happen, and see the universe are testing and people
- 48:40Speaker 1: don't understand the universe. See God will send you somebody
- 48:44Speaker 1: or just say the universe and that man and woman
- 48:46Speaker 1: will give you so much pain. That praying is to
- 48:50Speaker 1: teach you to leave that person alone, but most people
- 48:53Speaker 1: just take it, but the universe.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Will keep I also feel like what happens is you
- 48:58Speaker 3: get into a point and time where you feel you
- 49:02Speaker 3: start to feel responsible for the other person.
- 49:04Speaker 2: That can happen to people as well.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, especially if you if you was you're
- 49:11Speaker 1: the bag. If you're the bag and you bring somebody
- 49:14Speaker 1: on and all of a sudden you get tired.
- 49:16Speaker 3: If you put yourself in a position where someone struggling
- 49:18Speaker 3: and you want to do this, and it's three or
- 49:21Speaker 3: four years down the road, yes, now you might feel bad.
- 49:24Speaker 1: And as you get older, you want to have somebody
- 49:27Speaker 1: that you don't have to have a woman to put
- 49:29Speaker 1: everything in the pot, but something, something, And here's why,
- 49:33Speaker 1: if we break up, we both emotionally, both of us
- 49:35Speaker 1: going to be emotionally messed up for sure, but financially
- 49:38Speaker 1: should be messed up too, because why should I spend
- 49:42Speaker 1: hundreds of thousands and we break up. I'm feeling pain
- 49:47Speaker 1: and the financial burden. But oh, you said, I got
- 49:50Speaker 1: a new card, had some sex, and you went on
- 49:54Speaker 1: about your life.
- 49:57Speaker 2: It's just not fair.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like too, even on the other her,
- 50:00Speaker 3: Like if you flip the coin, Like, if you are
- 50:02Speaker 3: a woman or a man and you're with your significant
- 50:05Speaker 3: other and you truly help them build their empire, you
- 50:07Speaker 3: kind of take the backseat, handle the kids, handle the house.
- 50:10Speaker 2: If that shit goes left, I feel like it's kind of.
- 50:13Speaker 1: The other party's duty to make sure that's a real man. Yeah, Like,
- 50:18Speaker 1: I'm not gonna leave you with nothing, Like, yeah, that's
- 50:20Speaker 1: a real man.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Yeah, like you.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Without you, I might not be here, right, That's that's
- 50:25Speaker 1: so true.
- 50:25Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 50:26Speaker 1: If you got a woman like that, make sure you
- 50:28Speaker 1: break off and make sure she's straight.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Like me and my wife started dating and I maybe
- 50:32Speaker 3: had six grand in my name, she had like three
- 50:35Speaker 3: hundred grand.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Of the baking.
- 50:35Speaker 1: We could take this out right, but she like just
- 50:39Speaker 1: I don't know. She just fucking with me, you know
- 50:40Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And listen, I saw what she looks
- 50:42Speaker 1: at you. She's literally kind of just held me down. Yeah,
- 50:46Speaker 1: But I'm the kind of guy when I see an
- 50:48Speaker 1: attractive woman and know she's with someone, I don't look
- 50:50Speaker 1: at her no more. I know your lady's attractor. But
- 50:54Speaker 1: I had to take a quick glimpse of her like
- 50:58Speaker 1: in the in the grocery store and you scan there.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I couldn't look at it, damn, But I know it
- 51:04Speaker 1: was damn because I saw her for a good That
- 51:07Speaker 1: one second was long enough to say, Yo, he got
- 51:09Speaker 1: good taste. And when you see a man with a
- 51:12Speaker 1: beautiful woman, that means to me that your confidence is
- 51:16Speaker 1: on another level.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Because when a.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Man has a beautiful easy idiot liar because he lied
- 51:22Speaker 1: the puller and she believed in him, and she's still
- 51:25Speaker 1: trying to find out the stuff that you told me
- 51:27Speaker 1: and it didn't come along that, but she's still hoping
- 51:31Speaker 1: to believe.
- 51:33Speaker 2: But then it also says.
- 51:36Speaker 1: You got to have the finest woman in the room,
- 51:38Speaker 1: and that takes confidence.
- 51:39Speaker 2: For sure. Confidence is important.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't matter. I always say it, no matter
- 51:42Speaker 3: how much money you got, no matter how you look.
- 51:45Speaker 3: If you got a plan and confidence, you got confidence.
- 51:48Speaker 3: And if you.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Can make a young lady laugh, there's yeah. And you
- 51:53Speaker 1: and you're a good looking guy, and I can tell
- 51:55Speaker 1: she loves you. Yeah, for sure, your wife loves you.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Dog Like you can see the energy when you when
- 52:00Speaker 1: you're together.
- 52:01Speaker 2: I do think, I do think.
- 52:02Speaker 3: I don't like the fact that, like there's this narrative
- 52:04Speaker 3: out there at times where if you get divorced or
- 52:06Speaker 3: you leave a situation and you know that other person
- 52:09Speaker 3: had a lot to do with the foundation of making
- 52:12Speaker 3: it possible for you to go and do this this
- 52:14Speaker 3: or is right, it's like you to me, you almost
- 52:16Speaker 3: have that responsibility to like, if you're a decent person,
- 52:19Speaker 3: if you're a decent person, if you do it.
- 52:21Speaker 1: But most divorces break up in bitter because the man
- 52:24Speaker 1: probably cheating.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Yeah, there's some heartbreaking, there's a heartbreak, emotion gets involved,
- 52:30Speaker 3: and that's when like, yeah.
- 52:31Speaker 1: That's what and that's what happens. Like if you put
- 52:33Speaker 1: a woman on she cheated on you. Now you don't
- 52:35Speaker 1: want to have nothing. Oh yeah, yeah, for sure, I
- 52:38Speaker 1: forget you. You kiss my ass.
- 52:40Speaker 3: It depends on how many kids you got with them
- 52:42Speaker 3: though it's like, hey, I need a place for my
- 52:43Speaker 3: kids to listen.
- 52:44Speaker 2: I don't care. But when some people are mad, no
- 52:49Speaker 2: for sure, done, for sure done.
- 52:52Speaker 1: And then you got people who will cheat on someone,
- 52:55Speaker 1: get caught and then marry the person they cheated on.
- 52:58Speaker 1: It happens a lot, and that they don't see it
- 53:00Speaker 1: that happens, and they're miserable for the rest of their life.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Yep, that's crazy. Now that happens a lot. I got
- 53:10Speaker 2: a few of my friends.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you see, I love you, I'm going to marry you.
- 53:15Speaker 2: And the girl accepts it.
- 53:17Speaker 1: But deep down in your heart and your soul, you're
- 53:19Speaker 1: never the same, right you will every day I'm that
- 53:23Speaker 1: person walks out that door.
- 53:24Speaker 2: You have, there's a question mark, a pain. Yep, like
- 53:28Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't always you know, because that trust.
- 53:31Speaker 3: No matter even if you want to say you trust
- 53:33Speaker 3: them again, you'll never trust.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I've got a lot of friends who are marrying a cheat,
- 53:38Speaker 1: and I explained to him, you know, I'll show a
- 53:41Speaker 1: man how to cheat because I don't want you to
- 53:43Speaker 1: get caught, because most men can't handle they get caught.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I totally do this. Other day.
- 53:49Speaker 1: I said, dog, you're messing around, but if you get caught,
- 53:52Speaker 1: you already I can look at you. You ain't built
- 53:54Speaker 1: for what's about to happen.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Yeah, like you gotta have your ship air tight if
- 53:59Speaker 2: you I tell you, Yeah.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Men cheat, and if they get caught, it's this big embarrassment.
- 54:09Speaker 1: But it was you got caught. That's the only reason
- 54:11Speaker 1: why you embarrassed, Right, And then that woman takes you
- 54:14Speaker 1: through hell and then it takes you out of your
- 54:16Speaker 1: carriage and you're crying.
- 54:17Speaker 2: You're crying, you lost violent, Yeah weird, you're hitting your
- 54:21Speaker 2: punching windows.
- 54:22Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, you're doing stupid. A lot of men
- 54:26Speaker 1: to some point are hypocritical. Yeah.
- 54:28Speaker 2: See, if you're a player, that.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Means your girl gonna be a play at Because there
- 54:33Speaker 1: is a world called karma, right, and it does loop
- 54:38Speaker 1: background Sometimes at the first moment. You can have been
- 54:40Speaker 1: and cheated your whole life, but your girl dealt with it.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Well you see you in a wheelchair.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Well you'll see situations too where like you'll know somebody
- 54:48Speaker 3: has been cheating on their wife for years and years
- 54:52Speaker 3: and then obviously the marriage isn't great.
- 54:54Speaker 2: She steps out once and it's like he lost it.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Like, bro, you've been walking and actually for your advice
- 55:02Speaker 1: and comes to you crying.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:04Speaker 1: You in your head, you're like, yo, hey, lets she
- 55:07Speaker 1: got one off. You can't trip.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Oh.
- 55:10Speaker 1: And to the people that's listening, if you cheat and
- 55:14Speaker 1: then your girl cheating, you can't take it. Say baby,
- 55:17Speaker 1: let's stop this. This is what you was what I'm feeling.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I don't want to feel that the game that's called
- 55:23Speaker 1: the truth. It's the truth. I can't.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Let's not do this no more.
- 55:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I can't now I feel it.
- 55:31Speaker 2: That's so true. For sure, that's so true.
- 55:34Speaker 1: That's the pain that some people cannot handle.
- 55:38Speaker 2: That's why you see murders. Yeah. I got a homey
- 55:41Speaker 2: of mind who's going through like a separation right now.
- 55:43Speaker 2: He can't deal with it.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Well, he never cheated. He's a good guy.
- 55:47Speaker 2: But he's older, she's younger. They're going through separation. They're
- 55:54Speaker 2: still friends, but he just found out she signed up
- 55:57Speaker 2: for a dating app and lost his fucking mind.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Wow.
- 56:01Speaker 2: And I told him, I said, bro, like you gotta
- 56:05Speaker 2: let her live.
- 56:06Speaker 3: I mean he's he's forty something, she's probably my age,
- 56:10Speaker 3: and he's been with her.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Since she was like twenty. Yeah. See, so I was like, hey,
- 56:14Speaker 2: I was like, hey, bro, if she's yours, it's gonna
- 56:17Speaker 2: be fine, right, but like let her breathe for a
- 56:19Speaker 2: little bit, like you guys are. What he should do
- 56:22Speaker 2: is just be her friend. That's what I told him.
- 56:24Speaker 3: I said, Yo, you just gotta pick up the phone,
- 56:27Speaker 3: go to the movies every once in a while. But
- 56:28Speaker 3: if she's gonna go and do whatever she's gonna do.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Just let her do it.
- 56:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to be a friend. You got to
- 56:33Speaker 1: say call just to say hi. Yeah, call just to
- 56:36Speaker 1: be a friend. And you start dating, right, you start
- 56:41Speaker 1: dating because if you really want to back, here goes psychology.
- 56:45Speaker 2: If you get a girl that's prettier.
- 56:48Speaker 1: And that girl got she's doing well unless she was
- 56:54Speaker 1: a lunatic. He was beating up and you just really
- 56:58Speaker 1: dogged her.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Yo, she might.
- 57:01Speaker 1: It's possible, she'll come back. She'll come right back. It's possible,
- 57:04Speaker 1: possible anything. Because obviously you've been doing your podcast for
- 57:09Speaker 1: a while. I wish you would do more video content.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I know we talked about that the last time. I
- 57:12Speaker 1: just don't have the time.
- 57:14Speaker 3: I think that you if you were to pour into
- 57:17Speaker 3: your podcast, oh it'll be insane.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I'm doing my first live one though, at the day
- 57:24Speaker 1: before the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, a bad at
- 57:26Speaker 1: the NFL. We're gonna stop podcast. So I would love,
- 57:29Speaker 1: in fact, I would love for you to come so
- 57:30Speaker 1: I can interview you.
- 57:31Speaker 2: I'm down, let's go.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yo. I promise I'll call them today and tell
- 57:37Speaker 1: them to put you on the list and they'll reach
- 57:40Speaker 1: out to you.
- 57:40Speaker 3: I think, Yeah, I just think that every time I
- 57:43Speaker 3: see your clips.
- 57:44Speaker 1: I'm like, man, if you sat down and did.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Kind of like your version of what like Joe Rogan
- 57:53Speaker 3: does and talk to comedians friends, Oh yeah, you can
- 57:56Speaker 3: bring on financial advisors, yes, just so much. And you
- 57:59Speaker 3: can have kind of conversations with people that other people
- 58:03Speaker 3: aren't capable of having.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Absolutely, I totally agree. And this has always been at
- 58:07Speaker 1: the table you and other people.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Man, it's a it's a seven figures on the other
- 58:14Speaker 3: side of that door.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Easy.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm rich. I know, I feel you. It
- 58:17Speaker 1: ain't about the money, but but it also but for you,
- 58:20Speaker 1: you have like because in my opinion, if you did that,
- 58:23Speaker 1: it would free up your bandwidth from the road.
- 58:26Speaker 2: But you love the road. I love the road.
- 58:28Speaker 1: It keeps me young because the road is it it's
- 58:31Speaker 1: a lifestyle. It's a lifestyle, you know rich Carlton's Peninsula hotels,
- 58:38Speaker 1: because you.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Would have to ease up on the road a little
- 58:41Speaker 2: to really really.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Yeah, And and how can I say it. I don't
- 58:49Speaker 1: want to bite off more than I could chew.
- 58:52Speaker 3: And that's fair because if you buy it up more
- 58:53Speaker 3: than you can chew, and you don't give it all
- 58:55Speaker 3: that you know it deserves to have.
- 58:57Speaker 2: And like I said, I'm a og.
- 59:00Speaker 1: You really have to manage your health, your time and
- 59:03Speaker 1: mind for sure. And it's really a young man's game,
- 59:08Speaker 1: right and.
- 59:11Speaker 2: I like peace.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Like peace if the you you figured out, you're the
- 59:21Speaker 3: road ship, so you know, I.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Know when I'm getting.
- 59:24Speaker 1: And then when you want to interview celebrities whatever, guess
- 59:27Speaker 1: what you get sometimes cancelations.
- 59:31Speaker 2: People who don't respect your time. No, people can't. They're
- 59:33Speaker 2: not gonna make it to day. They can't make it.
- 59:35Speaker 1: And you, like you, it's something I can mess up
- 59:38Speaker 1: your thing or whatever. No, I think for you, like
- 59:40Speaker 1: if you just have like just your peers, your comedy
- 59:44Speaker 1: peers on yes, yes, yes, yes, over on my podcast. Now,
- 59:47Speaker 1: I just deal with regular people in their situations in life, right.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I like that because they're always going to be there,
- 59:52Speaker 1: and it's a lot of them celebrities schedule conflict, TKM,
- 59:57Speaker 1: Sorry I can't make it right. And is no jealousy,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: there's no hatred. You know, if I had this and
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: somebody came in, you never know, they might be jealous.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Whatever. I'm one of those people that people are jealous of.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I've always just been that guy, you know, confident, you know,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: always had gorgeous women, always have money. That the same thing.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: People love you for, a lot of people hate you for.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Would you ever open a comedy club? Too much aggravation, Yeah,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: too much aggravation. My life is about peace.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I see that. There's too much stress. You
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: gotta get a liquor license. You gotta deal with us.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Somebody underage got in somehow. What the fuck?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Peace of mind? Security, beat up our openers with the lawsuit,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, I want I want peace, piece and quiet.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Maybe in the next ten years, you know, I'm gonna
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: go get a bigger house for the grandkids, have my
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: son because they'll be older. So I have the grandkids
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: come stay at the house with me. I might have
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: a true significant other.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: So that's not out of the cards for you.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Still, I won't get married, but I'll put a ring
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: on a woman's finger to make let her know that
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I respect, Like, yes, is it?
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Yeah, this is it. I don't have to marry you. Right,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: here's the ring. But we're not going to go to
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: the courthouse. Yes, here's the ring.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: And I respect, you know, And I'll try to put
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: people and you don't have to get married, but I'll
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: maybe take ten thousand and put it in annuity and
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: in twenty years at ten thousand, two hundred some thousand dollars.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: Yeah, why would we spend one hundred thousand dollars on
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: a wedding exactly?
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: They put that in annuity, and people need to understand
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: annuities and stuff. So when I take it on stage
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: and being my age too, that it's insane because I
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: got the women from now they twenty four, twenty five
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: years old holing at me, and I got to talk
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: to him on the phone sometimes explain them I'm too
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: old to date you. And some of them fine, right,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: But the way I get out of it, I would say,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: my daughter would kill me.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: That's what I say.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: And it's impossible for you to have like a real
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: emotional connection with someone that young.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I feel like I won't even want to deal with that. Yeah,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the aggravation, don't get me wrong, some of these girls.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: And deal with the arrogance of a girl that's that
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: young who thinks that they can hang with you life.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Yeah, like sweetheart, no.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Even if you're forty something, you almost still out of
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: my league. And the sins because I'm sixty three. It's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: twenty year difference. Yeah, you still are going to grow
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: so much from forty to sixty years old.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: You're going to be night and day when you get
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: to be my age.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: If I date you at forty seven years old, night
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: and day, true, night and day. So if I meet
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: someone in the forties, my goal is to be to
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: give you knowledge, bring great things out of you that
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I see. Know how to talk better to the man
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: that you might date somewhere down the line in life.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Know how to move so when.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: You do meet this other guy, maybe you met a
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: guy that gave you the game on how to be
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a better version of yourself.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: That's beautiful. Man. Before we go, how you stay so young? Man?
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: What are we doing? What's the what's the diet? What's
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: that you just all the things that we talked about.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I'm not married.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: I don't have no stress.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I take time, I work out every other day, my grandkids.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, definitely, careful about what you're eating, care about
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: what matter.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Fact. I lost races the last time. Yeah, see me.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: So I think I lost about fifteen twenty pounds, but
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I still feel big, you know. But cav I'm happy
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: for I hope when people see me, what they see is, man,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: he's really happy, like I'm happy. And when I do
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: think about dating, I go, Man, when you date, you're
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: giving someone the power. Let's make you unhappy, even in
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: just five minutes of that day.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Yep. And my whole day is happy.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah, my whole not half the day, the whole day,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: the whole day. But if you get with someone, it's
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: a possibility that five minutes, the hour, the whole day,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: maybe a week, I'll.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Have you shifted off your square. And I just love
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: life so much. I mean, I love this thing. I
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: don't want nothing to mess it up.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Nice cigars, five whips.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody to answer to, Nobody answer to you, listen,
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: appreciate it.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: You give some of the great interviews. Man, Thank you.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: And I watch our interviews after we and I watch
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: it for a whole year, and I always put you
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: on my calendar for the following year, like you're one
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: of those guys I always look forward to coming to
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: talk to a year. It gives me something to think of,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: like you. When I walk up this door, I will
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: already be thinking for the next three hundred and sixty
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: five days about you, because I watch you. I see
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: your stuff that you do. I watch your interviews and
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I go, you know, and then Airs keeps me.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Up on you too.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: He said, you're doing really well, and they're adding more
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: shows to your show, your radio stage.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Like seventy some odd cities. Now great, Yeah it's crazy.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: That's great.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: You know we just picked up Yeah, it's crazy. So
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: how's your relationships now with sponsors? You still got great
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: relationship with sponsors.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: Yeah, So with the podcast is separate from the radio show.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: The radio show is the business model is essentially I
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: get inventory in every market I'm in, yes, and then
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: the company I work with sells that inventory, okay, and
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: then we divvy that up.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: The reason why I ask that question, I'm a businessman, right. See,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I got my deal with Live Nation, but I want
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to bring a sponsor on.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: So my sponsors for the podcast Hardin, which is in Vegas, King, PALM, LRG, whatever,
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: I deal with all those directly.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I wanted to bring on a sponsor for my
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Live Nation tour.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean there's definitely. That's the thing is like
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: I think most people think of sponsors and they're like,
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: it seems like a big Mountain to climb. I'm talking
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: about like independent podcasts, like all the people who I've
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: reached out or who I have as podcast sponsors.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: I mean, we had Bluetoo, which is the Dick pills.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: They reached out to me.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: They all were the first four or five were all
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: just people had relationships with Yes, so like Hardeen, Like
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: I'm cool with the owner Adam and DJ BONNYX and
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: LRG Clothing. My friend's been the head of marketing there forever.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean you could easily do.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: That and his business. So we put do the deal together.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: You're aging on the deal.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm doing this for the next ten years.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: You smoke.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I smoke a little bit, but I do my smoking
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: like a player, right, And what that means in a
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: room with a woman bottle of asuspil Louis the thirteenth
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: and he's sitting there on the balcony overlooking a pool ocean,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: and you got your girl with you, you got your
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: stuff ready, and you're smoking with each other.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: You know. Not smoking in your car driving down the street. Yes,
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: your car smells like shit every time people get into it.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Not smoking out in the hallway to mess up a
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: presidential site, right, Like, people don't do stuff with class,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: and you know I do stuff for class. I got
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the champagne there, we sit back like cigar in my pajamas.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: So is the Live Nation tour something you're working on
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: for this year? Oh? No, I got it. We start
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: in April. Oh so it's coming in April. Yeah.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: Yeah, we make the announcement in the I can ask, because, like,
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: are the smaller shows you do across the country?
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Are those working up material for?
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: So the clubs that you came to see me? Right
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: because you did two or three shows, those shows have
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: been booked for the last three four years. Right, I
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: know what I'm doing. I took on the Live Nation
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: thing because I wanted people to see growth, right right.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: So the sign with Live Nation was like wow, TK
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: doing his thing and I'm a little tired. So I
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: handed over certain markets to Live Nation. So I don't
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: have to worry about going to those markets. All I
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: gotta do is go get on the mic, tell the Joe,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: get your money, and go home. But what I explained
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: to them that I wasn't going to do. You wasn't
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: gonna put me in three cities back to back because
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: I know my age. That will wear you down. So
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: we do some cities one show that weekend, maybe two
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: shows in the same night, but never I'm going to
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: be in Chicago on Friday.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: In Detroit, well that's too close.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Seattle, oh yeah, then Miami.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we travel and then time changes and.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I ain't doing that. Not doing that because you got
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: to know your body. You gotta stay healthy. And yeah,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: let's put that deal together.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: I'll make sure.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna put make sure the agent on the deal,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: all right, So where you get a check.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: I'll see if I can make sense. Ye see what
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: we make it happen. And it's a definitely done.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: It's a deal and a Netflix special on the way.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: The Netflix special is going to do in twenty twenty
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: five is already in it works, and I want to
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: do something different. I want to it's almost to what
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Chris Rock and Kevin Hart did, but I want to
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: do mine through hip hop.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Yeah, because I came up through hip hop.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: So I want the people that I open up for
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: for them to take clips to them and talk about
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: how I used to rock.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: Gotta be dope because it's a special, but it's also
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: kind of like a documentary that's.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: What I want.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I want that type of interview because I know that
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I'm unique and my stand up is special and I
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: came up in the game a different way. And to
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: show that the half fifty cent have jay Z to.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Have baby Lil Wayne. Those guys talk about t K.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: It's a big deal. Do you think last thing? Because
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: you mentioned Kevin Hart, I always wondered it. I feel
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: like somehow he's gets too much hate now.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: For some reason when you're number one.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Yeah, because I used to feel the same way, where
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: I'd be like Kevin Art's kind of overrated. But it's
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: like at this point, it's like this guy.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Works no, no, no people, and he and he went through
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: the gauntlet of yeah people, that's not what people look at.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: People look at competition, and when your competition, people throw darts.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: They did it to Michael Jordan, they do it to
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Tom Brady, everybody. When you get there, everybody jay Z,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: whoever gets that moment, everybody else is shooting for you.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: It's like being Philadelphia Eagles.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: He was champion last year.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: This whole season, everybody was gunning for you. As we
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: call that competition. But on the streets will say that
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: they hater, but no, they just trying to knock you
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: up your throne. The same thing in real life when
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: you become number one.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: It's like radio.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: If someone knew that you had the number one podcast
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: radio show and the other person's five, and they know
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: about you, their gold is to actually knock you out
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: your number one spot. It's always about competition. It's what
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I meant to talk about last night, and that I
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: think about it. It's always competition. Like give me the
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: female and she'll say, I'm not going to compete to
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: get you. And I tell people all the time that
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: competition is what made the world. Why you think they
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: create the Super Bowl? Right, if you drive down the street,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: you'll see Wendy's across the street and Burger King right
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: across there. In competition. If you got someone that's in competition,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: that means you will always stay on your cueue. When
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: you watch the foods that built America and you think
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: about how they created the Oriel cookie, when you think
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: about Kellogg's frosted Flakes and how they went up against
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: rice crispies.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Right, Oh, this is competition. Oh, this competition.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: So competition brings the best out you. Yeah, it's just
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: that in the real world when people throwing darts at
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Kevin Hart, but in actuality, what they're really trying to
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: do is how can I how can I get what
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: he has exactly? I really want to be where he is.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I want to be number one.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I gathered mostly from that Cat Williams interview. Yeah,
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: was he feels like he should be where Steve Harvey is?
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: Absolutely, that's exactly what that is. And there's no secret society.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: And there's no secret to me like Steve Harvey. How
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: do you feel about him? Like he obviously my friend
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: produces his radio show. He's been a part of his
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: radio show for a long time. Yes, And from when
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: I hear he is one of the hardest working the.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Bouts for this I've been. Steve Harvey came up probably
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: a little bit after me. That's a hardworking man, yo. Yeah,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Steve Harby and he's disciplined, and he's disciplined. I've heard
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: a lot of things about his personal life, but that's
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: not what we're talking about here. We talked about how
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: he works. Can't nobody I'll work him now I work.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: I think he got me beat by a little bit.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: Yeah, because he'll do the radio show in the morning,
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: and he'll have to film the TV show, and he's
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: got so much going on that I.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Wouldn't even want all that headache. It's a lot, because
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: you know, everybody's shooting for the bag. But one thing
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I always say that's important. It is to not how
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: well you live, is how well you die. See, in
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: a hundred years, nobody will cares about us, And one
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: hundred years, everybody in this room be going and the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: only thing you have leftist things, and nobody cares.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: And that is the perfect way to end up. My man,
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: are my man?
