- 0:01Speaker 1: It is time now for our last break of the day.
- 0:04Speaker 1: We got to say Happy Veterans Day too to all
- 0:07Speaker 1: our veterans out there.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, our very own Dave Hines Jelitary working
- 0:17Speaker 2: here on the show, my husband, Yes, thank you, everybody.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Happy everyone.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yes, you know, my closing remounk kind of leads me
- 0:26Speaker 3: to that too, because I just saw. I'm a little
- 0:31Speaker 3: curious right now as to how our country is handling everything.
- 0:36Speaker 3: You know, I think we finally got it right with
- 0:38Speaker 3: honoring our veterans, showing them more respect, But I don't
- 0:42Speaker 3: me personally, I don't think we do enough. There's too
- 0:45Speaker 3: many veterans that come home and wind up homeless, who
- 0:49Speaker 3: come home with mental issues from suffering from our battle
- 0:55Speaker 3: and a post post traumatic syndrome, and it's just a
- 1:00Speaker 3: out of that. And we're not doing enough to take
- 1:04Speaker 3: care of the men and women who go and sacrifice
- 1:08Speaker 3: they families, they lives, they limbs for this country so
- 1:13Speaker 3: that we can sit here and do the very thing
- 1:15Speaker 3: that we do, which is what we want to do.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It's called freedom. But the people who pay the price
- 1:21Speaker 3: for our ultimate freedom, even with their lives, their health,
- 1:25Speaker 3: their welfare, the loss of their families that we don't
- 1:28Speaker 3: treat them good enough. We just don't. That should not
- 1:32Speaker 3: be a homeless veteran. There should not be an unemployed veteran.
- 1:37Speaker 3: That should not be a veteran without benefits. That just
- 1:41Speaker 3: shouldn't be, man, And I don't understand it. And in
- 1:46Speaker 3: this new administration, even those programs that are lacking are
- 1:52Speaker 3: being cut again. VA hospitals are suffering, VA benefits are suffering.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Is anybody not paying attention to what's going on here?
- 2:04Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I don't know where this country's headed,
- 2:10Speaker 3: but it's going in the wrong direction. Man, And I
- 2:14Speaker 3: wish people would wake up and look at it and
- 2:16Speaker 3: just admit to it. But see, we got this thing
- 2:20Speaker 3: called politics. Now. I'm just ranting and raving right now, y'all.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I ain't got no order to this. I'm just giving
- 2:24Speaker 3: you these random thoughts as they pop in my head.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I'm just gonna be honest with you. We got this
- 2:29Speaker 3: thing called politics, right, and we have the Republicans, that
- 2:32Speaker 3: we have the Democrats. And when both those people put
- 2:36Speaker 3: together put forth people that you don't really care for,
- 2:40Speaker 3: then you're forced to choose the lesser of the two evils.
- 2:44Speaker 3: But what happens when you choose what you think is
- 2:47Speaker 3: the lesser of the two evils and it turns out
- 2:50Speaker 3: to be more evil. What do you do? Then? Do
- 2:55Speaker 3: you do what I watch us doing, because we're just
- 2:58Speaker 3: succumbing to this. We just going along with that. I've
- 3:03Speaker 3: never been lied to so many times and watched so
- 3:06Speaker 3: many people believe the lie. Y'all. Come on, man, what's
- 3:16Speaker 3: happening here? That should be no debate. Do you know
- 3:21Speaker 3: that even in a government shut down that the president
- 3:25Speaker 3: still has the power to extend Snap benefits. I learned
- 3:30Speaker 3: that I was watching a couple of political shows the
- 3:32Speaker 3: other day. So even in a government shutdown, you can
- 3:38Speaker 3: extend the Snap program. Snap program is real simple. We
- 3:41Speaker 3: just making sure everybody eat. You know. Here's the other thing.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Here's the thing about Snap program that people don't understand.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Who ain't on Snap, they send up in here criticizing.
- 3:51Speaker 3: There was a young there was a mother that got
- 3:52Speaker 3: criticized because she bought some cupcakes with her Snap benefits
- 3:57Speaker 3: for her child's birthday party. They sent the country into
- 4:01Speaker 3: an uproar because they were mad because this woman buying
- 4:05Speaker 3: cupcakes with her Snap card. Wait a minute, she was
- 4:10Speaker 3: buying cupcakes for her child's birthday. It's still food. She
- 4:18Speaker 3: didn't buy a race car for the baby. She bought
- 4:21Speaker 3: some cupcakes so that her baby could have just a
- 4:25Speaker 3: joyous moment. Once a year, man, I watched this guy
- 4:30Speaker 3: online talk about how dare her go buy cupcakes? She
- 4:34Speaker 3: could have bought the mix and the batter and made
- 4:36Speaker 3: the cupcakes. Well, somebody did. Somebody put up the cost
- 4:43Speaker 3: of the batter and the cupcake mix and everything, and
- 4:46Speaker 3: the trays and the pans and all that, and it
- 4:49Speaker 3: would have cost more for her to make the pancakes
- 4:52Speaker 3: than the ones that she bought. But you know what,
- 4:55Speaker 3: people who ain't ever been without, they don't know what
- 4:59Speaker 3: that's like, so they find something wrong with everything. We
- 5:04Speaker 3: have so much stuff we can complain about where our
- 5:07Speaker 3: tax dollars is going to instead of going to feed
- 5:10Speaker 3: somebody who needs to be fed. And it's not like
- 5:14Speaker 3: they're getting a bunch of money. I forgot what the
- 5:16Speaker 3: exact number is. It's only like four hundred dollars per household,
- 5:21Speaker 3: eleven hundred, I don't know whatever it is. How much
- 5:24Speaker 3: is it per household? It's it's a really minimum go ahead.
- 5:29Speaker 3: It depends, Yeah, but let me tell you what it is.
- 5:36Speaker 3: It's the minimum to get by.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Correct.
- 5:39Speaker 3: It is not excess. It is not clothing money. It
- 5:45Speaker 3: ain't shopping money, it ain't moving money, it ain't ball
- 5:49Speaker 3: of money, it ain't card note money.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It's for food, nothing extra.
- 5:56Speaker 3: And we get to sit up here and watch people
- 5:59Speaker 3: who have never been hungry tell people who are hungry
- 6:03Speaker 3: how to behave well, how to hell? You know, and
- 6:06Speaker 3: you ain't ever been hungry? But where is your compassion
- 6:09Speaker 3: for people who just might not have it together? I'm
- 6:13Speaker 3: just ranting and raving today, man, because I just those
- 6:16Speaker 3: are my closing remarks, and they wasn't in no order,
- 6:20Speaker 3: but that's how I feel. And we need to get
- 6:22Speaker 3: it together, man, And y'all need to quit believe in
- 6:25Speaker 3: everything somebody tell you, and you need to start questioning
- 6:28Speaker 3: the truth because the truth ain't being told to us
- 6:31Speaker 3: hardly on you. No doubt that those are my closing launch.
- 6:36Speaker 3: If I was you, I'd talked to God today because
- 6:39Speaker 3: he the only one tells the truth all the time.
