- 0:00SPEAKER_00: You know what Drake calls her?
- 0:01SPEAKER_02: Huh?
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Goated pen.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: That she's like uh she's like the goat of songwriting.
- 0:05SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's good.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's cool.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Isn't that cute?
- 0:07SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's pretty good.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: I like that.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: I like when an artist from a different category will give all the love and just like gas up another one.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: Natalie agrees with you uh for Gen X concert goers.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Because apparently there's a thing now where Gen Xers are just not doing concerts anymore.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: I think it's a tolerance thing.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: See, Gen X is a generation where if you uh underperform for us, we're just not going back.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: We're not giving you another chance.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: There ain't nobody got time for that, is the expression.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: Don't be late.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: And Natalie even says, yeah, Gen X, start the concert at 4:30, be over by nine.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: And it's not that we're not that we're old and sitting here going, uh, you know, I can't do it.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: No, you know what it is.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm saying that.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Gen X knows how to prioritize their life and go, this is what I want.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: And this is the way that I want it to be.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: I get that, but I also I I'm used to going to bed at a certain time, and granted it is much earlier than the normal person.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: No, it's prioritizing your comforts.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Even this concert tonight, I normally would never do this.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: But uh, you know, Zach was like, I really want to go.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, fine, we'll do it.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I know we're gonna have a great time.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I know that my sleep is gonna suffer.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, all right, one time.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: One time, that's one time.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: 76, 49.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: My boyfriend is Gen X.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: So again, you said the the Gen X age range is what, 46 to 61.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: My boyfriend's Gen X as well.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: So my boyfriend is Gen X.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: For him, he says there are too many uh people and stupid people, LMAO.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's the other thing.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Nobody has tolerance for that.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: If you're of a certain age, and again, it's not an old the boomer, the baby boomer age, yes, they're becoming senior citizens and there or they are, and they're moving to the point you're probably not gonna get them out.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: Gen X is also a generation that should have a little bit of money to be able to spend to do this.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Like it's a generation you want.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: It's pretty coveted.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: My dad and I went and saw Elton John, and it was right when this arena, we were in Cleveland, this arena was transferring from tickets to actual QR codes and barcodes and things like that.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: And it they had all of these Gen Zers who were around to handle this problem.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: It's great, but it was so bottlenecked.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: We literally walked in as Elton John was getting on stage because he was not late.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And unlike a Sean.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: It's gotta be in bed by nine.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Exactly, exactly.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: But it was such a poop show with because most of it was his generation.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And I said to him, I grabbed my dad's hand and I'm like, we are not being that person.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Come on, let's go.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: I know what I'm doing.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Keep moving, keep moving.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Three, two, one.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: You're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Although when tickets ended up going digital, I don't know that that was the easiest transition, clearly, as you just described.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: There was a lot of different formulas that were out there, and trying to get the one that actually stuck or stuck.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Stuck.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Stuck.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Well, there's lots of different apps as well.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Well, that's just it too.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: You have Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Tickser.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: And everyone's just a little different.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: So, you know, and I don't have time.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: I don't have patience.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: You know what it is?
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Gen Z, Gen X doesn't have patience for that.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: Moving along.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: Add them to your wallet.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: All right, E and V Energy is the sponsor of the big three, delivering propane, fuel oil, and uh kerosene to your home, your farm, or your business.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: They are the no fees, no surcharge company.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I I also say add it to your wallet too, because I've been at C Mac more than once.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I was there for, I think it was Kenny Chesney and Chris Stapleton.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And the internet is so terrible there.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Like their Wi-Fi is so bad that at one point during, and those that was just a couple years ago that I was at those shows, that we couldn't get our ticket up.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And I said, never again will I not save it to my wallet after that.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna rely on opening up my email and getting in there.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Anyway, uh, this story I have been obsessed with, and I had dinner with a girlfriend last night, and she also is obsessed with this one.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Lindsay Clancy.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: The trial for Lindsay Clancy in Massachusetts was cut a little short after lunch due to unforeseen circumstances, which of course I'm dying to know what was that unforeseen circumstance.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Earlier, forensic psychologist Dr.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Paul Zeisel completed his testimony detailing Clancy's mental health struggles before the incident.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Clancy has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: She's accused of killing her three children.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Harvard University will pay th$53 million after a former morgue manager was selling some body parts.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: Oh my God.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Cedric Lodge received an eight-year sentence.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Him and his wife were doing it.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Shipping to buyers across states.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Six others are also pleading guilty.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that yeah, not not not the right thing to do.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: And Amazon plan uh Amazon is planning to expand their drone delivery for 500 U.S.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: cities and towns.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: And you know, they say that it's not necessarily anything more than just having broken goods the right landing on your front step.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, sorry.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: They it has to weigh less than five pounds and it has to be within 30 minutes of the order being placed.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And they said that they can, because of those small packages, it's actually more cost effective to do it that way.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Yes, because of the gas.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: A small package, you know, if you have all these small packages on a huge truck, the gas that it takes to get it from point A to point B, along with the manpower, doesn't really make sense.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: Well, you you speak true.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, and there is the big three.
