- 0:35Speaker 4: I can't believe we're already into February like this, which
- 0:38Speaker 4: I don't know. It just feels weird. It feels like
- 0:39Speaker 4: we were just in January.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yesterday.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well January was like three months.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Yeah, January did last about forty eight days, so it
- 0:49Speaker 4: was a while.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Canislopez? What's w you?
- 0:51Speaker 1: I made a New Year's resolution again yesterday.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Good for you.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I'm just gonna let you guys know, I'm just a saidden.
- 0:56Speaker 5: You know, it's a trend that everyone is starting to
- 0:58Speaker 5: go analog and it's like become the.
- 1:00Speaker 1: New new to do analogy things in life. Uh huh. Yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 5: I just decided to like take a couple of days
- 1:06Speaker 5: a week with my kiddo, and be sure we're just
- 1:08Speaker 5: like strictly analog.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh good.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you know I've been playing like.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Card games with him a lot since we were I stand,
- 1:13Speaker 5: and that kind of really jump started it.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I love this idea.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Yeah, so we're playing cards, go fish, We've added in
- 1:19Speaker 5: a battle or whatever that card game is, oh, Solitaire.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Which he actually really liked.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Do you know what only your son would Yeah, I
- 1:27Speaker 4: like Solitaire because he's smart. Mike would be like, what
- 1:29Speaker 4: is this.
- 1:30Speaker 1: He's also an only child, so it's like a perfect game.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Well that's awesome though. You know what, I think, Analog
- 1:36Speaker 4: Tuesdays was yesterday Tuesday. Yes, yeah, it was Analog Tuesdays
- 1:39Speaker 4: are a good thing. Yeah.
- 1:40Speaker 5: I didn't have a screen on, didn't do any of
- 1:42Speaker 5: that stuff. He learned to play Solitaire on my dad's laptop,
- 1:45Speaker 5: so there was that. But now I got to transition
- 1:48Speaker 5: him into just card cards. But yeah, I think we
- 1:50Speaker 5: should all have an analog Tuesday or pick a day,
- 1:52Speaker 5: a couple of days of the week and just go analog.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I mean I always used to make that a point
- 1:56Speaker 4: when my son was real young, and still now that
- 1:59Speaker 4: he's fourteen, but when he was like Enzo's age seven. Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 4: I would just have to go okay, Philly, and all
- 2:05Speaker 4: parents should do this because we're all guilty of it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Put your phone down.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Put your phone down. It is so so hard and.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Something like generations before us didn't have to.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Deal with, you know, and we're in a unique generation
- 2:17Speaker 4: where we were in a time where we remember when
- 2:19Speaker 4: there was in phones yeah, and internet, and now we're here.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Where it's just taken over our lives.
- 2:24Speaker 4: But it's so important that I would just put my
- 2:26Speaker 4: phone down and even if it was for.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Like an hour, you just ye play yeah, or swing?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Just think of something to do anything, draw besides a notification, yeahraw.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Color, Just do something, play.
- 2:38Speaker 5: The drums, play musical instruments. We've actually made musical instruments.
- 2:42Speaker 1: The other day.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Yeah, Enzel got into this thing like how can I
- 2:45Speaker 5: make an instrument? And so he just made a guitar
- 2:48Speaker 5: out of a clean Xbox.
- 2:50Speaker 1: He loved it.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that stuff is so good for kids though. Yeah,
- 2:53Speaker 4: it really is. Like when I was a kid, that's
- 2:54Speaker 4: all I did is draw. I would sit there in
- 2:56Speaker 4: front of the TV draw for hours. Wow. It was
- 2:59Speaker 4: like because we didn't have all this stuff that they're
- 3:02Speaker 4: id video games. I'm not that old, and I didn't
- 3:05Speaker 4: play video games when I was a kid that much,
- 3:07Speaker 4: just because I just I don't know.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was outside, I was doing things that's so so important,
- 3:11Speaker 2: So good for you.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Analog Tuesdays or a thing though with Candice slow Pass,
- 3:15Speaker 4: producer put what's up?
- 3:16Speaker 2: Hey, I need y'all to answer this question.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Okay, my older son he now works in the service industry,
- 3:22Speaker 6: and we were talking yesterday.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Uh, you know how on seventy percent you tip? Okay,
- 3:27Speaker 2: well listen, you know how it says.
- 3:29Speaker 6: You know how it says sometimes tips suggestions.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Oh, here we go. That's not a suggestion, But go ahead,
- 3:37Speaker 2: what's your question?
- 3:38Speaker 6: Say like eighteen percent blah blah blah and twenty two.
- 3:42Speaker 6: I just told him, I said, normally, if I see
- 3:44Speaker 6: that down there, I just double that and use it
- 3:47Speaker 6: as the tip.
- 3:47Speaker 2: But he was like, no, Dave, you're supposed to when
- 3:49Speaker 2: you need double one.
- 3:50Speaker 6: Like friends is if your tab is like I don't
- 3:53Speaker 6: know whatever, and it says twenty percent and the suggestion
- 3:57Speaker 6: is like four dollars and fifty.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Cent, I usually just double that and use it as
- 4:03Speaker 2: a tip. And he goes, no, you're supposed to triple
- 4:05Speaker 2: it what So I was.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Just curious, why am I so coning like double the tax?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah? Well that's what I know. That's what I talked.
- 4:11Speaker 4: If they're suggesting the tip, it says right there, what
- 4:13Speaker 4: twenty percent is?
- 4:14Speaker 6: Four fifty just seems so cheap, So I just double
- 4:17Speaker 6: it and okay, well that's great.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah. He was like, no, Dad, you're supposed to triple it.
- 4:22Speaker 2: And I was like, I never heard of that, son.
- 4:24Speaker 2: That would be what sixty percent? Then?
- 4:27Speaker 5: Yeah, depends on what your total is, right, yeah, if
- 4:30Speaker 5: it's like a thirty nine to carry the one, okay,
- 4:32Speaker 5: if you do this this this listen, I'm just a djy.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Guys say, like on.
- 4:37Speaker 6: A forty dollars tab, you wouldn't you wouldn't tip somebody
- 4:39Speaker 6: fifteen bucks?
- 4:40Speaker 5: Right?
- 4:40Speaker 4: Well? How much I mean you tip? Twenty percent? Is
- 4:43Speaker 4: the standard nowadays?
- 4:44Speaker 2: Okay, right? Twenty percent? Right? So what's twenty percent of
- 4:47Speaker 2: forty ten? Ten? Ten?
- 4:49Speaker 4: Right? So you tip ten? Yeah, twenty five? So if
- 4:53Speaker 4: you want to tip more, yeah, tip more? What's I
- 4:55Speaker 4: don't get it?
- 4:56Speaker 6: I was just I was he was telling me I
- 4:58Speaker 6: should tip more, and I was like, no, I'm doing
- 5:01Speaker 6: it right.
- 5:01Speaker 4: So then I promise you, I can tell you this much.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Who's not doing it right? No, because I make sure
- 5:08Speaker 4: I tip when we go out. I gotta make sure
- 5:10Speaker 4: I tip is because I'll never forget the time Pooh
- 5:13Speaker 4: tipped with a Katy Perry Sea.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Good right, yeah, yeah, good.
- 5:21Speaker 6: Really, I'm trying to get better about my tip and
- 5:23Speaker 6: situation because yeh, Bill is right. I am real, real cheap,
- 5:27Speaker 6: but I want to break that stereotype this black person
- 5:29Speaker 6: does tip.
- 5:31Speaker 4: But if it's your son, then you gotta Then you
- 5:34Speaker 4: gotta tip triple Oh yeah, of course I'm a tip
- 5:36Speaker 4: him trip.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Was he waiting on you? No, he wouldn't. He works
- 5:40Speaker 2: at some fancy smancy place Delalah. So oh yeah, yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I told him. I said, hey, we want to go
- 5:45Speaker 2: as a show there. He was like, we do. Good luck,
- 5:48Speaker 2: it's too much on the waiting list.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Already tough stories with Billy the Kid in the morning
- 5:54Speaker 3: only on the New Mixed one or two point nine.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Right early on a Wednesday, Candielow pass, what is going
- 5:59Speaker 4: on in our world?
- 6:00Speaker 5: Yeah, well, chib is going to have an ad during
- 6:02Speaker 5: the Big Game on Sunday.
- 6:03Speaker 1: We'll focus on their iconic tortillas.
- 6:06Speaker 5: So They just released a teaser that basically shows, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 5: versions of a baby crawling or sitting in the high
- 6:12Speaker 5: chair reaching toward the stack of buttery tortillas.
- 6:15Speaker 1: And it's basically all of us when.
- 6:17Speaker 5: We go into AGIB with the commercial air between the
- 6:20Speaker 5: third and fourth quarter of the game Sunday.
- 6:23Speaker 1: It was produced by.
- 6:24Speaker 5: A Dallas based company. This is their tenth Super.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Bowl ad in five years.
- 6:29Speaker 5: And then I saw this story from last summer. Do
- 6:31Speaker 5: you remember this girl who went viral on TikTok for
- 6:34Speaker 5: bringing like two hundred HIB tortillas on a plane here
- 6:38Speaker 5: in Texas?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Remember that?
- 6:39Speaker 5: Yeah, her story's going viral again too. I guess she
- 6:42Speaker 5: was going from Austin to Nashville, so she decided to
- 6:45Speaker 5: stock up because they don't have HB in Nashville, so
- 6:49Speaker 5: she put them all in her freezer or whatever. But
- 6:51Speaker 5: HIB tortillas are going viral today, and I think.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That is awesome.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I'm not mad about that.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Yeah. And by the way, there's people waiting in line
- 6:57Speaker 4: to get an AGIB right now.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Wait, which one, forny it's opening today.
- 7:01Speaker 4: It's opening today. There's a line people jack rabbits are
- 7:04Speaker 4: lined up.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm so excited.
- 7:06Speaker 2: For them at achib in forty.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I know, I think it's opening up right right and
- 7:09Speaker 4: they're doing like a celebration might be opening up right now.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Who it might be Yeah, ingrats guys.
- 7:14Speaker 4: People are camping out at the forty hib soon that's
- 7:17Speaker 4: going to be me when it's in Carrollton.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I can't wait. Will you please camp out? I will
- 7:20Speaker 1: tell me what you get if you're like one of
- 7:22Speaker 1: the first people hib.
- 7:23Speaker 2: If you're listening, I will broadcast live.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I would love that.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Oh that's your dream.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Yeah, in the Frozen punch as we could get some
- 7:30Speaker 5: tortilla all day.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be fun.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Actually, that would be well. Congrats for me. I'm very
- 7:36Speaker 1: excited for you.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Uh.
- 7:37Speaker 5: David Busters is on a lot of people's minds this morning.
- 7:40Speaker 5: They are putting engagement rings inside their Human Crane game.
- 7:44Speaker 5: So I guess they've got five fifteen thousand dollars three
- 7:48Speaker 5: carrot diamond engagement rings at select locations.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So to get one, if you're doing Valentine's.
- 7:54Speaker 5: D Proposal, you have to play the Human Crane game,
- 7:58Speaker 5: which it costs twenty dollars to play. Basically, get into
- 8:01Speaker 5: a harness and get lowered into this pit. Of prizes,
- 8:04Speaker 5: so you're basically the claw. It's like the claw game,
- 8:07Speaker 5: but you have to grab the prizes.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Uh.
- 8:09Speaker 5: The diamond rings are only going to be in New
- 8:11Speaker 5: York and California. Unfortunately, at this point, it's not the actual.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Ring in there.
- 8:16Speaker 5: There's actually a placeholder that you can redeem the ring
- 8:19Speaker 5: for later if you're able to grab it. But in
- 8:22Speaker 5: the middle of this, you know, giant pit is like
- 8:24Speaker 5: giant bouncy balls, inflatable crocodiles, inflatable bananas, like stuff like that.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Like the idea of a human crane game.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't know that was a thing.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I didn't neither, but we should definitely do that. We
- 8:35Speaker 4: should do that here in the parking lot.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I guess what would we go for.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:38Speaker 4: We'll get like an inflatable pool and like a I
- 8:41Speaker 4: don't know, some kind of crane and just dangle people.
- 8:43Speaker 4: I don't think that'd be cleared by legal Yeah, but
- 8:46Speaker 4: it would be fun.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Probably not No, what a fun that?
- 8:49Speaker 4: You know?
- 8:49Speaker 5: Whoever gets the ring and then they propose a Dave
- 8:52Speaker 5: and Busters, I'll.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Ask you that it is it fine if you get
- 8:55Speaker 2: a free ring? Does it?
- 8:56Speaker 4: You know?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Is the girl going to be mad that it was free.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I mean the quality, like it's a three care ring.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's value at fifteen thousand dollars. What do you mean?
- 9:06Speaker 4: Huh.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I'm just saying three carrots is coming from David. But
- 9:09Speaker 2: you know, you know the diamond's not coming to.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Rings.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I mean, if it's a diamond, it's a diamond.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Yeah, there's different grades, but I mean, yeah, pooh, it's free.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Okay, will it is free? Yeah, that is the whole thing.
- 9:23Speaker 5: So someone's gonna get proposed to a David Buster soon
- 9:25Speaker 5: and I'm looking forward to seeing who that is.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Uh.
- 9:28Speaker 5: The breaking bad House in Albuquerque, New Mexico now on
- 9:31Speaker 5: the market for four hundred thousand dollars after originally being
- 9:35Speaker 5: listed for four million dollars.
- 9:37Speaker 1: We did this.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Story sometime last year when it first hit the market.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I guess whoever told the owner they could get that
- 9:43Speaker 5: much for it, because someone could, you know, turn it
- 9:45Speaker 5: into a tourist attraction was very wrong because it actually
- 9:49Speaker 5: can't be zoned for that. It's in a residential neighborhood.
- 9:53Speaker 5: I'm assuming it'll go over asking because someone could make
- 9:56Speaker 5: it into an Airbnb. But I remember thinking four million
- 10:00Speaker 5: dollars for the breaking Bad House.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yeah, But at the same time, the thing about Airbnb's
- 10:05Speaker 4: that what if that neighborhood, you know, banned short term rentals.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Right, and then you're just out of love, then you're.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Out of Look, then you spent all this money on
- 10:12Speaker 4: what a house that is just Yeah, people drive by it,
- 10:15Speaker 4: but that woman who owns it, now she's me.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm actually driven by it. Yeah. We were in
- 10:22Speaker 1: New Mexico. We went by the candy store.
- 10:23Speaker 5: If you've seen the show, you know, like all the things,
- 10:26Speaker 5: the car wash, the house. It's like a weird vibe
- 10:29Speaker 5: when you're going because that neighborhood is super creepy. I mean,
- 10:31Speaker 5: obviously the show was intense, Yeah, but yeah, that house
- 10:36Speaker 5: is weird.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Did she spray you with the host?
- 10:38Speaker 1: She didn't, but I.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Was like, go go, go go fast, because she's out there.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It was weird.
- 10:42Speaker 4: And she didn't get like any money for it for
- 10:44Speaker 4: doing the show really, because when she said yeah, you
- 10:46Speaker 4: can do it, she thought it was just going to
- 10:48Speaker 4: be like a little little thing, little production, like whatever what,
- 10:51Speaker 4: And now it turns into this massive thing and people
- 10:53Speaker 4: won't leave her alone.
- 10:54Speaker 2: So she's like, I want to move.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I get it.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I can't take it anymore. Yeah, spraying people with hoses,
- 11:00Speaker 4: cussing people out. She's the attraction, right Yeah, people go
- 11:04Speaker 4: now just to see her and get cussed out.
- 11:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I mean I felt awkward even like snapping a picture
- 11:08Speaker 5: of it from my.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Car because I was like, oh, something gonna happen to me.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It was like, just go go fast, I'll get a picture.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's blurry anyways.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, of course, So y'all keep you posted though.
- 11:18Speaker 5: I'm Canda Slowpez. Those are your Texas top stories.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Here we go. Dirty Little Secret is on.
- 11:28Speaker 4: It's mixed one or two point nine bill at a kid,
- 11:30Speaker 4: Canda Slowpez producer, pooh, hopefully having a.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Good morning so far.
- 11:33Speaker 4: If you have a dirty little secret you ever want
- 11:35Speaker 4: to share, it could be a big secret, a little secret.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Sometimes we get some silly secrets, ridiculous ones. Sometimes they're
- 11:42Speaker 4: serious and you know what, just bring it eight three
- 11:44Speaker 4: three seven eight seven one o two nine. That's why
- 11:46Speaker 4: we're here. You're like family. Share whatever with us. Now
- 11:49Speaker 4: you have one that you've never told anybody about nobody.
- 11:54Speaker 7: I've never if the anyone is out loud?
- 11:57Speaker 2: So what's going on?
- 11:58Speaker 7: Okay, So about fifteen years ago, I gave my son
- 12:02Speaker 7: up for adoption. Of course, I was young and scared
- 12:05Speaker 7: and convinced I was doing the right thing. So of
- 12:09Speaker 7: course I told myself he'd have a better life without me,
- 12:12Speaker 7: and for a long time that belief was the only
- 12:16Speaker 7: way I could breathe and survive. I could know that
- 12:19Speaker 7: I was just young and wasn't able to do what
- 12:21Speaker 7: I could what I would like to do for him
- 12:23Speaker 7: as at a young age. You know, I didn't mean
- 12:26Speaker 7: to do anything with the information at first. I just
- 12:29Speaker 7: wanted to know he was okay. So I found out
- 12:32Speaker 7: that I found out where he lived, Yes, where he
- 12:37Speaker 7: currently lived with his adopted parents. And I drove past
- 12:42Speaker 7: a couple of times first, and I didn't stop. I
- 12:47Speaker 7: didn't slow down much. I just kind of looked like
- 12:49Speaker 7: just knowing that, oh, my son lived there, or.
- 12:51Speaker 2: You know, so you drive, so you drive by his house.
- 12:54Speaker 4: You've driven by his house a few times, and that
- 12:58Speaker 4: makes you feel better just to kind to see his situation, yes, and.
- 13:03Speaker 7: Seeing him come outside, you know, So I put some
- 13:06Speaker 7: eyes on him and like, Okay, you're looking looking good.
- 13:09Speaker 7: And so I have went to a few of his
- 13:12Speaker 7: basketball games, sit way high up in the back where
- 13:15Speaker 7: nobody can see me and notice really, of course he
- 13:18Speaker 7: has no idea. Yeah, because we haven't met. I haven't,
- 13:21Speaker 7: you know, ran up on him. Didn't want to because
- 13:23Speaker 7: I understand the rules of what I did, you know,
- 13:26Speaker 7: So I can't really unless he wants to be involved
- 13:28Speaker 7: with me. So I go and I'm supporting him and
- 13:32Speaker 7: clapping and having a good time. Only I know that
- 13:35Speaker 7: i'm his biological mom, which I feel ridiculous admitting this,
- 13:40Speaker 7: you know, like it sounds I'm not.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Going to put myself. I can't say what you're doing
- 13:47Speaker 4: is right or wrong?
- 13:47Speaker 2: Is it? On some it's heavy?
- 13:51Speaker 4: And I can't say what you're doing is right or
- 13:53Speaker 4: wrong because I've never been in your shoes, so I
- 13:55Speaker 4: can't imagine the emotions that.
- 13:57Speaker 2: You've went through over the years.
- 13:58Speaker 4: And if this is something, and I mean my thing is,
- 14:01Speaker 4: I'm sure there's a line you don't want to cross
- 14:03Speaker 4: for his sake, And it looks like you kind of know.
- 14:06Speaker 4: The line is a little blurred right now, but he
- 14:08Speaker 4: doesn't know. So it's but I mean, would he find out,
- 14:12Speaker 4: can he find out? Is there gonna be a moment
- 14:14Speaker 4: where you break and you say something at a basketball
- 14:17Speaker 4: game or you make your presence known.
- 14:19Speaker 2: That's where I think it gets a little dicey.
- 14:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I was just taking it one day at a time.
- 14:24Speaker 7: I didn't really want to disrupt his life and confuse
- 14:27Speaker 7: him or take something away from his family that have
- 14:30Speaker 7: raised him, you know. But I'm just happy knowing that
- 14:34Speaker 7: he's growing good and from this it makes him that
- 14:38Speaker 7: heartache a little softer, you know. So it's like I
- 14:41Speaker 7: did do the right thing. I don't really need him
- 14:44Speaker 7: to know who I am. I don't need anything from
- 14:46Speaker 7: at all. I just wanted to see and make sure
- 14:49Speaker 7: he was good. You know, these type of stories happen
- 14:51Speaker 7: all the time, and then you know the child is
- 14:53Speaker 7: being abused whatever. But it seems as though he's living
- 14:56Speaker 7: a good life and doing stuff that he enjoys. So
- 14:59Speaker 7: I don't know, maybe possibly I could, you know.
- 15:02Speaker 4: I want with him, but I know he's what you
- 15:05Speaker 4: said fifteen or whatever. So one day, if he reaches
- 15:09Speaker 4: out to you and he wants to meet, I mean,
- 15:11Speaker 4: you're obviously going to be open to that.
- 15:14Speaker 7: I'm del yes, I'm most definitely del I would love that.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Wow, that's all that is a deep that is a
- 15:21Speaker 2: deep secret right there.
- 15:22Speaker 4: I just painful it is, but or you know, is
- 15:26Speaker 4: it it's bringing it sounds like it's bringing you some
- 15:28Speaker 4: kind of comfort in a.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Way, right because you've been living at guilt that you
- 15:33Speaker 5: haven't processed, right.
- 15:35Speaker 7: Yeah, right, you're right, You're right.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I mean, do you look back and do you feel
- 15:38Speaker 4: like you did the right thing or is it something
- 15:40Speaker 4: you look back on you you'd have done differently based off.
- 15:43Speaker 7: Me being young, I would say that I probably would
- 15:46Speaker 7: have did the same thing, just because I wasn't at
- 15:48Speaker 7: a at a place where I could take care of
- 15:51Speaker 7: him like I would like, right right, But I definitely
- 15:55Speaker 7: would like to, you know, would like to have the
- 15:58Speaker 7: option to be involved with him because I think, you
- 16:01Speaker 7: just knowing my baby is out there, I had a baby,
- 16:04Speaker 7: you know, I would like to build a bond with them.
- 16:07Speaker 7: That's why its kind of like I'm peeking around and
- 16:09Speaker 7: looking like we've got something going.
- 16:11Speaker 4: On, and I have a feeling you will. I have
- 16:13Speaker 4: a feeling that that'll happen. And I know many families
- 16:16Speaker 4: who you know, I have good friends who were adopted,
- 16:18Speaker 4: and they're very close to their biological parents and they
- 16:23Speaker 4: have a beautiful relationship. So I wouldn't rule that out.
- 16:27Speaker 4: And I think it was a very selfless decision for
- 16:29Speaker 4: you to do that back then, because.
- 16:31Speaker 7: That's it gives me some good hope.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't even imagine trying to make that decision.
- 16:35Speaker 4: So wow, Well, thank you for opening up to us,
- 16:39Speaker 4: because that is that's a lot.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So we appreciate it very much. And and thank you.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Thank you, thank you for listening dirty Little Secret.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Wow that one.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah, No, I just don't. That's that's why when people
- 16:53Speaker 4: call up, I'm not.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Going to judge you. I'm not going to judge you
- 16:57Speaker 2: for what you've done and what you haven't done.
- 16:59Speaker 4: That's not what we're so and you know, I appreciate
- 17:02Speaker 4: when people open up like that because that means a
- 17:05Speaker 4: lot to us.
- 17:06Speaker 2: So thank you for that.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Testa's Tough Stories on the Tens with Billy the Kid
- 17:10Speaker 3: in the Morning.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Only on the New Mix one two point.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Nine early on Wednesday morning, Candice Slompez everything we need
- 17:17Speaker 4: to know, what's up?
- 17:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, Savannah Guthrie's mom is still missing this morning,
- 17:21Speaker 5: so let me give you the latest. So TMZ was
- 17:24Speaker 5: the first to report this yesterday, but they're saying they
- 17:26Speaker 5: received a ransom note that described the scene from Nancy
- 17:30Speaker 5: Guthrie's home. This note reportedly also demanded millions of dollars
- 17:35Speaker 5: in bitcoin. The sheriff's department there says a note may exist,
- 17:39Speaker 5: but haven't confirmed this to be credible just yet, at
- 17:42Speaker 5: least not publicly. I know there's a news station there
- 17:45Speaker 5: in Tucson where all this is happening that said they
- 17:47Speaker 5: were also sent a similar letter. We do now know
- 17:51Speaker 5: that two cameras at the home were destroyed. The bluetooth
- 17:54Speaker 5: on Nancy's pacemaker was disconnected from her iPhone around two am,
- 17:59Speaker 5: which the reported time of the alleged possible abduction. But
- 18:05Speaker 5: the FBI did visit Savannah's sister's home yesterday.
- 18:08Speaker 1: She was the last person.
- 18:10Speaker 5: To have seen her mom alive, and that was late
- 18:12Speaker 5: Saturday night. There's also a report that her car was
- 18:15Speaker 5: taken as evidence, and that a family member could be
- 18:19Speaker 5: considered a suspect in this case. They haven't said specifics
- 18:23Speaker 5: just yet, so.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I don't want to tell you what.
- 18:26Speaker 5: I've kind of been going down a rabbit hole on
- 18:28Speaker 5: but I feel like we're going to get some more
- 18:30Speaker 5: information on this today. Savannah was reportedly at that home
- 18:34Speaker 5: as well while they're sort of waiting and visiting with
- 18:37Speaker 5: investigators they're in Tucson. But just a really upsetting, sad story.
- 18:41Speaker 4: See, I think the ransom letter, I think is someone
- 18:45Speaker 4: just trying to take advantage of a situation.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very possible.
- 18:48Speaker 5: And if the letters aren't exactly the same and they're
- 18:50Speaker 5: being sent to different outlets and different entities, it's kind
- 18:54Speaker 5: of alarming.
- 18:55Speaker 4: I hate to say it, but it just leads me
- 18:57Speaker 4: to believe it's someone in the family. Yeah, that it's
- 18:59Speaker 4: something going on internally, because I mean, who else is
- 19:03Speaker 4: this elaborate about something and knows the details about a
- 19:06Speaker 4: pacemaker and a bluetooth.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Yeah, well, they seem to think that the camera that
- 19:11Speaker 5: was on the front of the home, a nest camera,
- 19:13Speaker 5: actually was taken. So for someone to know the location
- 19:16Speaker 5: of these cameras and how to destroy them, you know,
- 19:18Speaker 5: in the middle of all of this is interesting. But
- 19:21Speaker 5: a lot of things aren't adding up in this case,
- 19:23Speaker 5: which is why they haven't come out and said we
- 19:25Speaker 5: have a suspect or a theory at all. But to
- 19:29Speaker 5: hear that it could possibly be a family member. I mean,
- 19:31Speaker 5: that's a big, big deal.
- 19:33Speaker 2: How's the relationship with the sister?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Yeah that I don't know.
- 19:36Speaker 5: That sister is also married, so I think her husband
- 19:40Speaker 5: boyfriend whoever, was also being questioned.
- 19:44Speaker 1: So yeah, we'll see who knows.
- 19:45Speaker 5: This is all just you know, alleged stories that are
- 19:49Speaker 5: starting to come out, and Savannah hasn't made a statement either.
- 19:52Speaker 2: So it's incredibly sad.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Yeah, she's okay, but you know, these things they don't
- 19:58Speaker 4: always don't tend to end well.
- 19:59Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I'll definitely keep you posted though, guys, and
- 20:02Speaker 5: we'll switch gears for a second. High temperatures will be
- 20:05Speaker 5: noticeably cooler today fifty seven degrees with some clouds before
- 20:08Speaker 5: we warm up into the seventies for the weekend. And
- 20:11Speaker 5: the Dallas Cowboys at Cheerleaders have announced a new ninth
- 20:14Speaker 5: show live tour that will stop in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Live will feature ninety minutes of fan
- 20:22Speaker 5: favorite routines, never before seen group and solo performances that
- 20:26Speaker 5: q at a session everyone looks forward to with Kelly
- 20:29Speaker 5: and Judy. But this is also the second year they're
- 20:32Speaker 5: going to have live auditions on stage where the audience
- 20:34Speaker 5: can help decide who moves on to the final round
- 20:37Speaker 5: of auditions at the Star in Frisco. Pre sale tickets
- 20:40Speaker 5: are already available, but that general on sell happens tomorrow
- 20:43Speaker 5: morning at ten am. It'll start here in Dallas April seventh.
- 20:47Speaker 6: But cool.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Yeah, that's such a fun thing, that show, I mean
- 20:49Speaker 5: on Netflix, I mean, biggest thing they've ever done.
- 20:52Speaker 4: It's huge, and I love that the audience could be
- 20:53Speaker 4: a part of the auditions and the tryouts, and that
- 20:56Speaker 4: where's being held here though in Dallas it's where is it?
- 21:00Speaker 5: I don't have the location on that tour stop. I
- 21:01Speaker 5: know it's April seventh, But last year.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Was the first time they did this.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Didn't We talked to Judy about it.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yeah, she's so sweet.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I love I love her enthusiasm still for the cheerleaders
- 21:11Speaker 5: and the pornography.
- 21:12Speaker 2: And iun till you can tell it's their true passion.
- 21:14Speaker 4: And yeah, Kelly, I mean, they've obviously built such a
- 21:17Speaker 4: strong brand. They should be so proud. Obviously they've been
- 21:20Speaker 4: involved for so many years. Yep, and look the way
- 21:23Speaker 4: it's still blowing up.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Well, this is a throwback, but The Muppet Show is
- 21:28Speaker 5: returning tonight. Their event was Sabrina Carpenter, Arizona, ABC and
- 21:32Speaker 5: Disney Plus they're gonna have special guests Seth Rogen and
- 21:35Speaker 5: Maya Rudolph also a part of it. They asked Miss
- 21:40Speaker 5: Piggy if she was intimidated by the star power of
- 21:42Speaker 5: Sabrina Carpenter, and she said, you know, if anything, you
- 21:45Speaker 5: should ask Sabrina if she's intimidated by maw which is
- 21:49Speaker 5: just so Miss Piggy. But did you guys watch that
- 21:51Speaker 5: when you guys were kids, Because I love.
- 21:53Speaker 2: The Muppets, I didn't because it terrified me.
- 21:55Speaker 1: What what?
- 21:56Speaker 4: Yeah, why, I just didn't. It's just the whole thing
- 21:59Speaker 4: kind of scared. When you really think about the Muppets,
- 22:02Speaker 4: they're terrifying.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Oh, they're so cute, their personalities are so big. I
- 22:05Speaker 5: interviewed Miss Piggy and Kermit once back in the day
- 22:08Speaker 5: when I worked for Disney, and it was like one
- 22:09Speaker 5: of the best interviews.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I I've never done.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Excuse me, Well, the performers are just so like good
- 22:15Speaker 5: at improv and they know these characters so well.
- 22:17Speaker 1: It's just really fun.
- 22:18Speaker 4: I think what freaked me out is when I was young,
- 22:20Speaker 4: I asked the question about where bacon came from, and
- 22:24Speaker 4: then I figured it all out. And then I was like, wait, so,
- 22:27Speaker 4: but miss Piggy's a pig right, Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 2: My mom was like, well she's different though, Well I
- 22:33Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know.
- 22:35Speaker 4: The whole thing kind of weird to me. And I'm like,
- 22:37Speaker 4: let's just watch something else.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna watch it with my kid.
- 22:40Speaker 5: I'm I'm excited, all right, I'm Candas Lopez.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Those are your Texas top stories.
- 22:46Speaker 3: All right, he's done for Candace Court. It gets settled
- 22:50Speaker 3: here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 22:52Speaker 4: I'm excited about that. All rise for the honorable Judge
- 22:55Speaker 4: Candace Lopez. Candace, are you ready to get your gabble?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Got it?
- 22:58Speaker 4: All right?
- 22:58Speaker 2: It's makes one a two point nine. Here we go.
- 23:00Speaker 4: If you've got a problem at Candice on air on Instagram,
- 23:02Speaker 4: you can also hit her up and send it in
- 23:05Speaker 4: because she is very rational.
- 23:06Speaker 2: She's the most rational one on the show. No secret there.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Back in the day, this used to be Billy's Court
- 23:11Speaker 4: until apparently this I was overthrown. Yeah, I should protest
- 23:16Speaker 4: either way. No, it's better in your hands. Thanks I
- 23:19Speaker 4: actually got my husband to agree to go out for
- 23:21Speaker 4: Valentine's Day this year, and we booked our regular babysitter
- 23:25Speaker 4: a month ago to make sure she was free this week.
- 23:28Speaker 4: I sent her a text to confirm what time to
- 23:30Speaker 4: come over, and she let me know that she's charging
- 23:32Speaker 4: double her usual rate since it's a holiday. I get
- 23:35Speaker 4: that it's a busy night and babysitters are in high demand,
- 23:39Speaker 4: but I was really surprised she gave me the chance
- 23:42Speaker 4: to back out because she said she has requests from
- 23:44Speaker 4: other families willing to pay, but I don't even have
- 23:47Speaker 4: another sitter. My husband says we should cancel our plans
- 23:51Speaker 4: and not spend the money, but I still want.
- 23:53Speaker 2: To go out.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Is it crazy for her to double her price. I
- 23:58Speaker 4: don't know why, but I'm so annoyed by this. Okay camp, Slowpez,
- 24:03Speaker 4: What do you think about this?
- 24:05Speaker 1: I mean, I'd be annoyed too.
- 24:07Speaker 5: You couldn't tell me that when we booked this a
- 24:09Speaker 5: month ago, Like that's a little off.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Like if we lock you in.
- 24:13Speaker 5: And it's understood that you've been our regular babysitter, this
- 24:16Speaker 5: is what we pay you.
- 24:17Speaker 1: That's what it is. That's what we all assume is happening.
- 24:20Speaker 5: If you're going to charge more, you have to let
- 24:21Speaker 5: me know when I booked that time with you.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, maybe, isn't it kind of assumed that it's
- 24:26Speaker 4: a holiday and you're gonna have to pay more. I
- 24:28Speaker 4: don't know, because I haven't had to hire many babysitters,
- 24:30Speaker 4: you know, I.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Don't think so.
- 24:31Speaker 5: I mean, if your babysitter is like someone who's old
- 24:34Speaker 5: enough to like be going out on Valentine's Day, then maybe.
- 24:38Speaker 5: But if it's like some teenager that's, like, you know,
- 24:40Speaker 5: this is just a regular Saturday night for you.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You know, what's a big deal?
- 24:44Speaker 2: Well, wouldn't you want to pay it more if it's
- 24:45Speaker 2: a teenager hook him up on Valentine's Day? This comes
- 24:48Speaker 2: from the cheapest guy that we know. Yeah, I'm cheap.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I would have got a cousin somebody doing for free.
- 24:53Speaker 2: That's what I used to do it, like my mom.
- 24:55Speaker 4: But if you're not, you know, lucky enough and blessed
- 24:58Speaker 4: enough to have that, then you hire a babysitter.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Don't you know how much a babysitter costs?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yeah? I don't either. Like, thankfully, my parents, you know,
- 25:04Speaker 1: watching zo when we need them. To thank them so much.
- 25:07Speaker 1: They are the best, But I don't them.
- 25:08Speaker 5: I don't pay them, no, but they would never take it,
- 25:11Speaker 5: Like I'll try to pay them back in other ways,
- 25:14Speaker 5: like hey, we're going to take all the dinner or
- 25:16Speaker 5: you know, let.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Me do this.
- 25:18Speaker 4: It's another question. Do you pay your relatives when they
- 25:20Speaker 4: babysit your kids?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Depends on your relatives.
- 25:22Speaker 5: My parents would absolutely never take my money for watching
- 25:25Speaker 5: their grandchild, you know what I mean?
- 25:27Speaker 1: I would pay them if they wanted to know.
- 25:29Speaker 5: I know you would, of course, but I mean, it's
- 25:31Speaker 5: not crazy for her to double her price from a
- 25:33Speaker 5: business standpoint, or increase the price on this night.
- 25:35Speaker 1: But also I don't like this.
- 25:37Speaker 5: She's willing to risk losing the respect or this client family,
- 25:41Speaker 5: you know, over one night.
- 25:43Speaker 4: You know what, it sounds like. I wish I knew
- 25:44Speaker 4: if this was a teenager or not. It does not
- 25:46Speaker 4: sound like a teenager. This sounds like someone who's very
- 25:49Speaker 4: business Savvy's like in high demand, the price.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Goes up, yeah s, which I get it.
- 25:53Speaker 4: But you do have to say that though when it
- 25:55Speaker 4: happens right, if you're gonna book me, just hey, heads up, Yeah,
- 25:58Speaker 4: I would love to work that night but it's going
- 26:00Speaker 4: to be a little more expensive because and that's kind
- 26:02Speaker 4: of weird to say.
- 26:03Speaker 2: That's this is why I couldn't do business like this.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Because it's very sick.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Hey, I'm gonna charge you double because it's Valentine's Day and.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Like the stress of like having to find a new
- 26:11Speaker 5: babysitter if this is your babysitter, your go to regular,
- 26:15Speaker 5: Like that's awful, like from a parent, like to have
- 26:17Speaker 5: to find someone and make sure you trust them, and
- 26:19Speaker 5: like that's the whole thing. I would just end up
- 26:21Speaker 5: not going out if I didn't want to pay, Yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 5: finding someone else and it's so weird.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I'd be so weird about who watches my kid. Oh yeah,
- 26:29Speaker 4: in today's.
- 26:30Speaker 2: World, it's so crazy.
- 26:31Speaker 4: So you got to be well comfortable with that person,
- 26:34Speaker 4: and I would pay the I would pay.
- 26:36Speaker 5: The double, yeah, because they also have the leverage there too, like, hey,
- 26:39Speaker 5: where are your go to I'm your safe person you trust.
- 26:41Speaker 4: So I once hair haircut guy do this to me,
- 26:44Speaker 4: like somebody cut my hair back in the day. Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 4: he ras he like doubled his prices and I just
- 26:49Speaker 4: went like it was normal.
- 26:51Speaker 2: And then after he rang me up and I was
- 26:52Speaker 2: like oh wow.
- 26:54Speaker 4: And I always tipped the guy like significantly and because
- 26:57Speaker 4: he gets me in last minute stuff, so I'm like, yeah,
- 26:59Speaker 4: totally inner stand. But it went from like thirty bucks
- 27:02Speaker 4: the time to sixty bucks. Yeah, woa, And I was
- 27:04Speaker 4: like whoa and he goes, oh, yeah, we double prices
- 27:06Speaker 4: and I was like, well that would have been nice
- 27:08Speaker 4: to know.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Right, not have to pay either way. Yeah, yeah, my
- 27:13Speaker 2: hair's already on the floor.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Yeah, but I did the tip went down that day?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Oh did it?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:18Speaker 4: Because normally I would tip him like twenty bucks, right,
- 27:20Speaker 4: and I'm like, I'm not going to tip him.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Twenty bucks now if he's charging me double.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:24Speaker 5: I mean unless you took like a year or two
- 27:26Speaker 5: to go back to get your.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Next haircut, like that's not cool. If it was just
- 27:29Speaker 1: like a.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Month or two, I got weird about it, and I'm like,
- 27:32Speaker 4: I don't know if I want to go back to
- 27:33Speaker 4: this guy.
- 27:33Speaker 2: So either way, what do you think? It doesn't matter.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Candice Lopez is the judge, You're.
