- 2:09Today we're at speedy. Where were we ranked today?
- 2:12We were. In the 40s. 40s, I think it was
- 2:1545. I think yesterday we were in 35
- 2:17today we were 35. So we've been doing a lot of
- 2:21great things and we're ranked in the top 100 right now in the
- 2:25whole country of sports radio. So and all the podcast.
- 2:28So we really appreciate it. Ola, I want to give a shout out
- 2:30and I, I don't think we do enough of this.
- 2:33All the different interns that we've had, Zoot and Dom and
- 2:37Zach, all the workers that we have on the back end, they've
- 2:40been sensational. All of them have been
- 2:43sensational working with us. And, and all that different
- 2:46things and topics that we've been working offset with them
- 2:49and, and stuff that they've done on the back end, making our
- 2:51videos. I want to appreciate.
- 2:53I want to give a shout out to all the the guys that have been
- 2:55working with us and and really giving us all that momentum
- 3:00every single week. So thank you to everybody that's
- 3:02helped us, including I'll give them the names again, Zoot, Dom,
- 3:06Zach, all of them, all of them, Dom everybody.
- 3:10So thank you. Anyways, it's been a crazy one.
- 3:13It has, and I think you guys are going to enjoy this one because
- 3:17this portion of in like Flynn has to do with movies.
- 3:21Welcome to the show, my lady. I've often heard that you'd give
- 3:25me a warm welcome if ever we met again.
- 3:30And like Flan. Flan, Flan.
- 3:34All right, ladies and gentlemen. Well, I'm a movie guru.
- 3:39OK, so Fish reached out to me today and he said let's get into
- 3:44some basketball movies. You're a basketball guy.
- 3:46You love your basketball movies. So I looked, He told me go look
- 3:50at the I MB IMDb on how they ranked basketball movies.
- 3:56And boy oh boy, I completely disagree with practically most
- 4:02of their picks. So I want to go from 10 all the
- 4:05way to one at #10 They have Space Jam.
- 4:10I like Space Jam, it's a cartoon movie.
- 4:13Love Michael Jordan, love everything about it.
- 4:17I'm not putting it in my top ten.
- 4:18I can't put. It on my top 10.
- 4:20I'm just telling you the truth. I'm I'm not, by the way, LeBron
- 4:24James. I would never put LeBron James
- 4:26Space Jam I. Would never put it in top 10.
- 4:28That was absolutely appalling, but Space Jam 1 was definitely
- 4:31better than Space Jam too, because Michael Jordan to me is
- 4:34to go, but I'm taking Space Jam out of my top ten at #10 I'm
- 4:40sorry guys, I got to put this. Has anybody seen Sunset Park?
- 4:44Sunset Park is one of the best, more underrated movies of all
- 4:48time when it comes to basketball.
- 4:50Sunset Park with time. Inside the time to represent.
- 4:55You know, I love that movie. Everything about it you had, you
- 5:00had everything and it shootings and all that other crazy stuff.
- 5:03It it definitely, it definitely gave me that, that basketball
- 5:08New York kind of style. And I got to put that in my top
- 5:1210. So I put Sunset Park at number
- 5:1510. So there you go.
- 5:17That's number ten. At #9 they have blow Blue Chips.
- 5:20I think Blue Chips is higher than this.
- 5:22I think Blue Chips is one of the more underrated movies.
- 5:25So at #9 I'm going to put Hustle.
- 5:29Has anybody seen Hustle? Well, Adam Sandler did a movie
- 5:34called Hustle is a great movie. It really is on Netflix.
- 5:39Check it out. It's about a kid that's from
- 5:41another country. Adam Sandler hurt his hand.
- 5:44He became a, you know, a recruiter.
- 5:47You know, what do they call that?
- 5:48A runner? No, not a not a runner like a
- 5:52scout. That's what he was.
- 5:53He was a scout and he went all over the world for the
- 5:55Philadelphia 76ers and he went to a country and they found this
- 5:59kid and he brought him back to America and there was so many
- 6:02back end stuff that happened to him and he helped develop him
- 6:05and transition him into an NBA style of player.
- 6:08So I would put that, that movie at #9 I, I, I think it was a
- 6:14great movie at #8 Glory Rd. I wouldn't argue that.
- 6:18I think Glory Rd. was definitely one of those movies that really
- 6:21stood out to me. Don Haskins, what he did the
- 6:24NCAA victory that he had the championship victory over Pat
- 6:27Riley's Kentucky. I I mean, that was a great
- 6:29movie, a Disney movie, definitely something, if you
- 6:32haven't seen it, it's a great, great movie.
- 6:33So I'd I'd keep that there at #7 I put blue chips, I think blue
- 6:37chips, Shaquille O'Neal, Anthony Hardaway, Nick Nolte.
- 6:42It was a great movie. It was about a college.
- 6:45It was about pretty much doing dirty things, which has been
- 6:49going on for a very, very long time when it comes to buying
- 6:52players and and doing those dirty things.
- 6:55And that movie really stuck out to me and what basketball is
- 6:59really NCAA college basketball has been going through all these
- 7:03years. So I would put that at #7.
- 7:05At number six they have above the rim.
- 7:08Think of above the rim is a little bit higher than that at
- 7:11#6 I would put and I they put this movie up a little too high.
- 7:16Love in basketball. It's a great, great movie, but
- 7:19I'm taking a love in basketball out of the top ten.
- 7:23It's not in my top. 10. I'm not Hoop Dreams, the
- 7:27documentary, that movie, that documentary really stuck out to
- 7:32me. Chicago-based basketball
- 7:34players, to me, I, when I was a kid, I watched Hoop Dreams.
- 7:37It was great. It was really, really good.
- 7:39Got a chance to see the back end of where these guys lived, lived
- 7:43and what type of style of basketball they played and why
- 7:46they didn't make the NBA. And, and to me, documentaries
- 7:49really started NBA documentaries in college didn't really start
- 7:52at that time. It really started with Hoop
- 7:54Dreams. So I'm sorry, I'm putting Hoop
- 7:57Dreams right there at number six at #5.
- 8:02Now they got he got game. I I think this is higher.
- 8:08I I I think he got game is much, much higher than where they have
- 8:11them. I put above the rim.
- 8:13I love Tupac Shakur Leon. That's one of my favorite
- 8:18basketball movies. It's missing some things that I
- 8:21think would made the movie a little bit better, but it was
- 8:24great. It really was.
- 8:26You had Marlon Wayne's in it. I loved it.
- 8:28I I really did. So I got them.
- 8:30I got that above the rim at #5 at #4 and they have them at #3 I
- 8:38love Hoosiers, I love Hoosiers, but I, I bring Hoosiers a little
- 8:43bit down at #3 to #4 I, I love the movie.
- 8:46I, I love the back end. Indiana basketball and what they
- 8:49did in the 1950s and it became a top contender, small school, a
- 8:54coach coming back, being fired as a head coach in a different
- 8:58state and, and come over here as a teacher.
- 9:00Nobody liked him that the town didn't like him and he really
- 9:04develop these kids into superstars.
- 9:06I, I, I, I love that movie, but I put it at #4 #3 is he got game
- 9:13Absolutely. Denzel Washington.
- 9:16We all know what they that movie was all about.
- 9:19Son and father killed his wife accidentally and then we got a
- 9:24chance to see the development of Jesus, Jesus Shuttersworth and
- 9:30really great Spike Lee, great movie #3 is where I would put
- 9:35that at #2 I cannot argue this that I, I love the Earl
- 9:40Manigault story. I, I just, I love this movie.
- 9:44Anybody that doesn't know who Earl Manigault is, Don Cheadle
- 9:47played him and it was such a good movie.
- 9:49Earl Manigault had, he was like the Michael Jackson and Michael
- 9:53Jackson, Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan of New York.
- 9:56He did everything and he was a great street ball player.
- 9:59Rucker Park. He was known for Rucker
- 10:01basketball and all these guys. He, he really changed Rucker
- 10:06Park into what Rucker Park is today and what a chance
- 10:09transition into in the 90s. Such a great story, sad story to
- 10:14what happened to him and, and really never really getting to
- 10:17that high level the NBA because of drugs.
- 10:20You should check it out if you've never seen rebound.
- 10:22The legend of Earl Manigault and then the final #1 the greatest
- 10:27basketball movie of all time. Absolutely agree with it.
- 10:32White men can't jump. Everybody knows that.
- 10:36Woody Allen, It's to me everything that we want when it
- 10:42comes to basketball. Sidney Dean, Billy, Billy Hoyle
- 10:46and and in the transition, you had everybody in it.
- 10:49It was just a great, great movie.
- 10:51Funny white man can't jump. Billy, you know, so great movie.
- 10:57So 1234510 yeah, there you go so as far as their top three, the
- 11:06top 2 is absolutely right. I would not argue that those are
- 11:10the two best basketball movies of all time.
- 11:12Hoosiers. A lot of people would put
- 11:14Hoosiers 3, but I, I, I think the transition of what I've seen
- 11:19over the years and, and basketball movies and I love and
- 11:21basketball. I love the movie.
- 11:23I really do, but it's a love story.
- 11:25It was not something that I could sit there and say 01 of
- 11:27the greatest basketballs, all basketball movies of all time.
- 11:30It's a love story. So I I disagree with that, but
- 11:33I'm not saying love and basketball wasn't a great
- 11:35basketball. There was a lot of good ones.
- 11:37Semi Pro was a funny basketball that was good.
- 11:40Yeah, yeah, there's a lot. Coach Carter was a good.
- 11:42Movie was Carter. The Way Back is a good movie.
- 11:45I I mean, there were a lot of good movies.
- 11:48Like Mike? I would not put like.
- 11:51That's like a just a RIP off of angels in the outfield.
- 11:53Uncle Drew. It's man.
- 11:55Uncle Drew just right. I mean my giants I the movie
- 12:00that really stuck out to me how they rated this movie hoop
- 12:03dreams who they rated 18. This is this is one of the
- 12:06greatest documentaries of all time.
- 12:08Isaiah Thomas was in it. I mean, the transition of point
- 12:12guard positions and, and really what point guard basketball was
- 12:16in Chicago basketball was I, I can't believe they didn't put
- 12:20that in. Maybe the writer of this list is
- 12:21a Steph Curry fan. Heard your argument about why I
- 12:24Steph Curry is not better than. It is a great movie.
- 12:27If you've never seen that documentary, go check it out.
- 12:30And Basketball Diaries, man, I, I, I didn't put Basketball
- 12:34Diaries in my top ten, but Basketball Diaries to me is one
- 12:38of my favorite movies of all time.
- 12:40Leonardo DiCaprio was up for an Academy Award for it.
- 12:44I mean, everybody was in that movie.
- 12:47Marky Mark was in that movie. It was a great, great movie.
- 12:51So you're a high school fan and these high school players
- 12:55getting to, you know, packed into drugs and ruin their lives,
- 12:58absolutely ruin their lives. But it is a great, great
- 13:00basketball movie. So lot to get lot if you're a
- 13:04basketball fan, you had to see all these movies.
- 13:05If you've never seen any of these movies, Hoop Dreams, which
- 13:08is an old, old movie from 1994. It's a two hour and 50 minute
- 13:12movie. It's a long movie, but it's
- 13:14definitely something to go check it out if you're a basketball
- 13:17fan and Basketball Diaries, The Basketball Diaries is a great,
- 13:20great movie and it's sad. It really is.
- 13:22Uncle Drew? Uncle Drew forgot about that.
- 13:24One. No, I did.
- 13:25I said Uncle Drew. I put Uncle Drew.
- 13:26There underrated. You do underrated.
- 13:28I think it's a funny movie. I obviously I like some of the
- 13:32basketball players were in it. I watch it.
- 13:34I like them dancing in the movie.
- 13:36I mean, the storyline was stupid.
- 13:38The. Surprise that you didn't name is
- 13:40ever. Get out of here, I'm not
- 13:42putting. You would put everybody.
- 13:44Are you kidding me? I'm going to put.
- 13:46It was one of my first thoughts though.
- 13:47I was like. Get out of here.
- 13:48That would never, that would never happen.
- 13:50I would never put the airplane in my top.
- 13:52Ten yeah, you took Space Jam by the top tier, so I hate space.
- 13:55I I'm sorry, I'm not putting Space Jam a.
- 13:57Cartoon movie you take Space Jam out of time.
- 14:00Dude, it's I would say it's top top 11, top 12.
- 14:03It's not no top tier, it's probably one of the most selling
- 14:07films and basketball. Because Michael Jordan was in
- 14:10it. It was stupid.
- 14:11It was child. Everybody was in it.
- 14:12Charles Barkley. Oh please, Mugsy.
- 14:15Everybody. Patrick Ewing.
- 14:17Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good.
- 14:18The whole crew was in there, yeah.
- 14:20Good for 5 minutes anyways. Kentucky Derby time Golden
- 14:24Temple was the winner of the 2026 Kentucky Derby, barely
- 14:28edging out Renegade, which was the favorite as it ended the
- 14:32race. Cherie Duvau became the first
- 14:36female trainer ever to win a Kentucky Derby, a race that's
- 14:39been around for 152 years. Jockey Jose Ortiz also won his
- 14:45first Kentucky Derby in his 14th year as a jockey.
- 14:49That was the only one of the three Triple Crown races he
- 14:53hadn't won yet. Golden Temple was A at 23 to one
- 14:59odds going into the race and was in last place going into the
- 15:03final turn. The announcers mentioned how
- 15:06Golden Temple had to make up 7 or 8 more lengths from all the
- 15:11other horses to come back and win.
- 15:14I watched the replay, so for all the people that know, I was
- 15:17traveling so I didn't get a chance to see him until later
- 15:20and it was an incredible, incredible race.
- 15:23Think about this on the last turn, Golden Temple was
- 15:27practically in last place. And all of a sudden, as you see
- 15:32this, if you're actually watching this right now because
- 15:34fish has it on, he slowly but surely moved slowly up in that
- 15:39last turn and then just took the hell off on the outside and and
- 15:45beat Renegade, which was everybody's favorite.
- 15:47And I it was surprising to me, and I'm not saying that Golden
- 15:51Temple wasn't everybody's favorite.
- 15:52It wasn't mine. I like the Chief.
- 15:55He didn't didn't do so well. Yeah, he didn't do so well.
- 15:58If you're not in top three, it doesn't really help me, but it's
- 16:03sensational. It's fun to watch.
- 16:04I want to get Zach in here because I I no, I'm sorry, Zoot.
- 16:07Zoot's the guy. He's our Kentucky Derby guy.
- 16:10I think Zoot watched the race and he understands a little bit
- 16:13more about horse racing than I do.
- 16:15So is is Zoot in or can we I? Put I put him in fishes to
- 16:18rearrange the cameras. How?
- 16:19He would have all right, So I want to get Zoot in because he's
- 16:22that he's the guy that was watching the race.
- 16:24He gave us his take and, and to me, I, I watch horse racing.
- 16:29I've been to a Triple Crown, I've watched a Triple Crown and
- 16:32I experienced it and it was very interesting, very fun and got a
- 16:37chance to talk to the jockey and the trainers and it's fun.
- 16:41It really is. But we got Zoot looking at his
- 16:43phone and I, I like to get Zoot. Zoot, are you there?
- 16:48I'll just mention this while Zoot's finishing up.
- 16:50Just a cool moment for the. Talking to somebody.
- 16:52For Sheree Devo to the first female trainer, a lot of times
- 16:55you don't see a lot of women trainers.
- 16:56It's an old school sport, get involved.
- 16:58You can always see this. Get it, get involved in that.
- 17:00And I think it's definitely cool to see Ortiz.
- 17:04We talked about a couple of weeks ago with Rory McIlroy.
- 17:06It took a while to win a Masters.
- 17:07Now he's won two in a row. This is a guy that's been a
- 17:08jockey for a while too. So definitely a cool moment.
- 17:11But for definitely for Dero inspiring a lot of these these
- 17:14women that are again in these smaller towns, Kentucky,
- 17:17Tennessee like that all the horse breeders there.
- 17:19It's, it's fun to watch because when you go to the Kentucky
- 17:21Derby and I, I've got a chance to go to all the races, the
- 17:25crazy hats and all the crazy people that go, the dresses and
- 17:30the way they dress. And that's what is so
- 17:33remarkable. When you go to those things, you
- 17:35walk right in. Everybody's dressed to impress.
- 17:38Women are wearing these weird, ridiculous hats that look like
- 17:42they, they came out of a monstrous movie, you know, a
- 17:45monster movie. It's just ridiculous.
- 17:49I mean, I've seen some of the craziest hats I've ever seen in
- 17:51my life, but and then the dresses and and and dress to
- 17:56impress. And here's another thing, all
- 17:57the movie stars that go to these things in these events and they
- 18:00make it like a gala and, and musicians and everybody
- 18:04athletes. I, I, I met so many athletes at
- 18:07these events before and it's crazy because they go there and
- 18:10they're like big horse fans And I'm like sitting there.
- 18:13I'm like, you're a horse fan. You actually watch these races.
- 18:16I mean like. Got to be faking it, right?
- 18:19So it's funny, so funny. I went to, I went to a race and
- 18:22I, I bumped into Rob Krankowski. I'll never forget it.
- 18:26And he's walking in. Everybody knows who he is
- 18:28because the guy's a giant. He walks right in.
- 18:30He's like 6-7 white guy walks right through the thing.
- 18:33He's wearing this weird white suit in this ugly tie.
- 18:37It's really bad. It's like a Patriots.
- 18:39Like greenish, weird, reddish. We need Tom Brady to send the
- 18:43suit that he gave to our friend Brandon.
- 18:44Lloyd yeah, it was really bad. And I I bumped into him and I
- 18:48said, what are you doing here? He's like, I got a lot of money
- 18:51on this this horse right here and he was like, because I don't
- 18:54tell anybody I got a secret and I know what I'm doing and at the
- 18:57end of the race he didn't win anything.
- 19:01So but it's funny because you get a chance to see so many
- 19:05people that you probably wouldn't believe you would see
- 19:08at these races. So incredible and it's
- 19:10incredible race. I again, I watched the replay of
- 19:13the race, but I've never seen a race like this when a guy when
- 19:15when a horse is all the way in the back and then just explodes
- 19:20on the outside the way it did and completely kicks the crap
- 19:23out of the opposing horses. And is he is he the favorite to
- 19:27winning the Triple Crown? I mean, we haven't seen the
- 19:29Triple Crowns, Yeah. Spotify.
- 19:30Is the other? I'm sorry, is it justified?
- 19:32Justifies. Justifies I was not justified
- 19:34Spotify. Implicated.
- 19:36Implicated. Spotify I was there for
- 19:40justifies Triple Crown. Spotify is a good horse name,
- 19:43I'm not going to lie. It's not a terrible horse name.
- 19:45It might be Spotify might have horse.
- 19:48Errol, you're right. Usually you don't see like the
- 19:50guy, you know, sometimes they come from behind, but they don't
- 19:53come from behind, weave inside and then take the most outside
- 19:58path and still catch everyone. That was wild.
- 20:01You don't usually see, I mean, it's only two minutes, you know,
- 20:04it's very easy to make. A whole, whole length.
- 20:06It's like one of those movies, you know, like when you watch
- 20:09I'm. Sorry, I'm not sitting.
- 20:10There for two hours watching. The the pre show, you know, for
- 20:13four hours for the two-minute race.
- 20:15But yeah, I love those movies too.
- 20:17The Secretariat movie, the Seabiscuit movie.
- 20:19They had a few really good horse movies out there if you ever get
- 20:22a chance to watch them. But yeah, you know, but this
- 20:24one, but this one, this was a this was a weird race, you know,
- 20:27and it was very surprising. Some people made a lot of money.
- 20:30I know our guy Chaz somehow always seems to hit on the
- 20:34Kentucky Derby. And I always tell myself I'm
- 20:36going to bet whatever, Chaz said.
- 20:37And then I asked, man, I forgot to bet.
- 20:39And I go, Speedy, how much did Chaz win?
- 20:41He goes he he won a little bit 7.
- 20:43Hundred, 8459. So that guy, that guy for when
- 20:46it comes to horse racing, the guy is honestly a genius,
- 20:51probably one of the best handicappers in the world when
- 20:54it comes to horse racing. The guy studies it.
- 20:56He really studies it and he understands horse racing.
- 20:59So does Wes. Wes is really good at it too.
- 21:02These guys when we get these guys on the shelf for all the
- 21:04fans out there that are listening to us when we put them
- 21:07out there, these guys are not just no name guys that don't
- 21:10know how to win money. These guys win a lot of money.
- 21:13They live there. That's one of their their
- 21:16investments and and they make a lot of money.
- 21:20So when we give you guys an opportunity, like I said, a
- 21:23money line mania on a one O 3.1, one O 3.9 show, that show
- 21:28they're at 8086% right now. I mean, Vegas isn't at 6766%.
- 21:34They're crushing it. Every pick that we give you,
- 21:38they're almost exactly on the money for it.
- 21:41Fish, to put into perspective, I think it was 2 weeks ago, Wes
- 21:44even had picked a wrestling bet and he beat the guy.
- 21:46He bet the guy that beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
- 21:49He got that one. Right.
- 21:49He got that right. It's just, it's ridiculous.
- 21:52It makes you sick to your stomach.
- 21:53It really does. Where is he going to bet rigged
- 21:56wrestling matches? They're all I'm.
- 22:00Sorry, I'm fandom. But it's but it's like.
- 22:03Cashew. I mean, it's pretty wild that
- 22:06you can do that type of stuff these days.
- 22:08He's good. Type of gambling, hey.
- 22:10You can check out Wes's books on finding out how to do it
- 22:12discipline sports betting. Yeah, it's on our website.
- 22:15Go and get yourself a copy. I mean, we'd love to promote
- 22:18them and like I said, I didn't get a chance to watch this live,
- 22:22but I watched the replay on it and it's an incredible race.
- 22:25It is incredible to watch. To watch a course just come out
- 22:29of nowhere and shoot on the outside the way it did and beat
- 22:33the horse that everybody was the favorite and everybody had
- 22:36possibly winning the Triple Crown this year.
- 22:38Well, that's not going to happen.
- 22:40I maybe, maybe the tempo, the golden tempo wins the Triple
- 22:44Crown. We haven't seen it since
- 22:46Justify. I was there.
- 22:47I was there when he did. Yeah, a lot.
- 22:48Of them it depends on if they're like a younger horse too.
- 22:51Like those are the probably the didn't they?
- 22:52Then we see a Triple Crown. It was like, it was like within
- 22:54five years there was two of them.
- 22:56Yeah, American Pharaoh was American.
- 22:58Pharaoh and then Justify same trainer too, yeah, same trainer,
- 23:02yeah. And then and then all that, all
- 23:04that, yeah, that he got. Caught with the doping?
- 23:05Scandal the doping scandal because of all the conspiracy
- 23:08of. Doping.
- 23:09Horses and stuff like that. Just women.
- 23:11Yeah. They were giving them the
- 23:13carrots with the GMOs and they were all jacked up on steroids
- 23:17because of that. Yeah.
- 23:19It's in, bring zoot in is. Zoot coming in I I don't think I
- 23:22I think Zoot might be working on something else.
- 23:25He's. Working on you know he's hanging
- 23:26out with the fam or hanging out with his.
- 23:28Friend. No, he's right there backstage.
- 23:29I know, I don't think he was talking.
- 23:31Listen, I know I could see him what I'm trying.
- 23:35To help you. Coppi, Coppi anyways, but it's
- 23:40been a great show and we have one more segment as we always
- 23:43do, as we call this, What's that smell hold?
- 23:46On what is that smell? What's that smell?
- 23:54Wow. You don't see that every day.
- 23:57By the way, the Knicks are breaking records.
- 24:00Has has it just popped up that this is the first time of the
- 24:04New York Knicks in the first home game of a playoff series in
- 24:08the playoffs that are going to beat the team are, are leading
- 24:11the team by 38 normal points. I mean, it's ridiculous the, the
- 24:15Knicks right now are playing at such a high level.
- 24:18If they continue playing like this, I, I think they should
- 24:20breeze right through the Eastern Conference and then we'll see
- 24:23who they match up against in the West.
- 24:25I, I mean, this is, this is, this is what we wanted to see
- 24:29with the Knicks. This is what we wanted to see.
- 24:31And finally, I think they're figuring, I think Mike Brown has
- 24:34figured out his rotation and it's starting to work and
- 24:37everybody's playing. I, I said, like I said, and I
- 24:40wasn't just taking, I just when you look at matchups and you
- 24:43look at Mikhail Bridges, what he's done over the years against
- 24:4676, even when he was with the Nets, he always played well
- 24:48against 76ers and OJ Anobi, who always plays well against the
- 24:5276ers. Jalen Bronson always plays well.
- 24:55Karl Anthony Towns, when he was with the Timberwolves, every
- 24:57time he played, he played well against the 76ers.
- 25:00I don't think Joel Embiid is really healthy, is just out
- 25:03there. And the only reason why they
- 25:05beat the Celtics and why Joel Embiid played at such a high
- 25:07level is because the Celtics don't have a big man to stop him
- 25:12and the Knicks do. And that's the reason.
- 25:15And I'm going to tell you it's not going to be an easy series
- 25:17for the I'm not saying this is a sweep.
- 25:19I think this is a 5 game series, but I don't see it going further
- 25:22than that. I I really don't.
- 25:23I just think the Knicks are just so much better than the 76ers
- 25:26are right now. Anyways, all right, we're going
- 25:29to go tonight. We're going to go fish, we're
- 25:32going to go Q, We're going to go speedy, we're going to go me.
- 25:34Here we go. All right, let's queue it up.
- 25:38I hear the music. There's a crazy story.
- 25:41You know, some of you may have picked this up when it happened
- 25:45about six years ago now, when you may remember former Orioles
- 25:50pitcher Scott Erickson. He's a good pitcher in the 90s
- 25:53for a while. Well, he had an incident, him
- 25:57and a woman named Rebecca Grossman, who he was racing,
- 26:02apparently flying down the street, apparently in golf
- 26:06carts. There were some kids in the
- 26:09street. Erickson missed the kids.
- 26:12Grossman did not. She's serving 15 years in jail.
- 26:15Obviously, this has led to a lawsuit years later from the
- 26:21family of the Iskanders, of the kids that died.
- 26:25Now, an interesting development was who they brought on the
- 26:30trial in this civil case, and it was a former All Star.
- 26:34I don't know if he's All Star Speedy Royce Clayton.
- 26:37That was a long time Major League Baseball player for the
- 26:39White, I don't think. He was an old *.
- 26:41Short and I think he played Texas also good player.
- 26:43He was a good player, not a great player, maybe had a couple
- 26:46of really good years in there. But he he gave testimony that
- 26:51you know, after after that he was a great friend of his for 30
- 26:54years. Told them that they were
- 26:56Erickson, told them that they were flying down the street,
- 26:58confided in him, and then the next day, instead of being
- 27:02contrite and anything, they were just hanging out at the
- 27:05clubhouse eating burgers, drinking beers as if it was a
- 27:09normal day. I don't think that kind of
- 27:12testimony is going to go well for Mr. Erickson in this trial.
- 27:17What does that smell like? It smells like the smell of
- 27:20money being lit on fire #1 like if you're going to be this piece
- 27:26of garbage, maybe don't tell people about it.
- 27:29You know, you put a guy like Clayton in this situation and
- 27:32you, what are you supposed to do?
- 27:33If you're Clayton, what are you supposed to do?
- 27:35Really? That's a terrible spot to be in.
- 27:38I I just just horrible. I hope that woman gets every
- 27:41single, that family gets every single penny they can get from
- 27:44them. That's.
- 27:46Pretty sad. Yeah, brutal, I thought.
- 27:49That was going to. Be Do you want to jerk me off?
- 27:53Ah, let's see here I'm I'm, I'm this is my last time mentioning
- 27:57these people, so I'm going to go with Jaden Brown decides to go a
- 28:02live stream after the loss. To.
- 28:08Yeah, the Philadelphia 70 sisters complaining about his
- 28:11back and how we had to play small ball and how the referees
- 28:15didn't give no calls and how we are almost last in shooting free
- 28:19throws and attempts. And he went on this read about
- 28:24how bad it was and wow, we blew A31 lead.
- 28:29And to him, Joe Missoula and the substance organization this
- 28:37year, they have really put a smell in my nostril. 1 nostril
- 28:47to the other nostril that is indescribable, but if I had to
- 28:53describe it, it would be equivalent to dumpster.
- 28:57Juice. Doodoo mixed with.
- 29:02The cheese. Man boob sweat man.
- 29:06Boobs. He's A packs.
- 29:07With his musty under armpits on a Saturday night after a hard DJ
- 29:16set in the middle. I like anal.
- 29:23That's what I'm going to go. With All right, so I'm going to
- 29:26move on to 1 of Errol teams is our college basketball team and
- 29:30the Duke Blue Devils apparently getting an Amazon game against
- 29:33Michigan, which has led to a feud between Amazon and Fox
- 29:39Sports slash the Big 10 who technically own the the rights
- 29:43to the game. So the, the way that these out
- 29:45of conference games, especially early in the season workout is
- 29:48they're supposed to have a pattern.
- 29:49And the ACC has, is owned by ESPN along with the SEC Network
- 29:54and the Big 10 is owned by Fox Sports.
- 29:56So the ACC did the game last year.
- 29:58The Michigan Duke game was on ESPN.
- 30:00And so by pattern, the Fox, Fox Sports supposed to have it this
- 30:03year, but now Amazon's taking over and it's not even it's,
- 30:06it's just Duke. It's not even, not even just the
- 30:08ACC. So they don't even have an ACC
- 30:09right yet. They're trying to claim that,
- 30:11oh, we have rights to this game because we want to expand
- 30:13college basketball as they've tried to do with all these other
- 30:16sports onto Amazon Prime. Obviously, Michigan's file back,
- 30:20Fox Sports has filed back that they should have the rights to
- 30:22this game and they're rightfully so.
- 30:24They should, because Amazon has no right to the.
- 30:27AC and. As we mentioned many times,
- 30:29college conferences have a lot of strong strangleholds on these
- 30:31networks. So yeah, you're not going to win
- 30:34that battle. Nice try, Amazon Prime.
- 30:36What does that smell like? It smells like Jeff Bezos and
- 30:39John Shire making out in an Amazon rainforest swamp with a
- 30:44bunch of venomous spiders. Amazon rainforest swamp.
- 30:51Well, he's got an Amazon rainforest in his pants, So,
- 30:54John. Shire is an Amazon rainforest is
- 30:56his pants or Jeff Bezos coot. Anyways, my final What's that
- 31:01smell goes to The Detroit Tigers ace two time defending American
- 31:06League Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal will now undergo
- 31:11arthroscopic surgery for a loose loose part in his elbow.
- 31:16OK left elbow manager AJ Hinch said on Monday.
- 31:20Hinch told reporters that school ball will have a procedure at a
- 31:24date still to be determined after the left-hander felt pain
- 31:29in his elbow Sunday and underwent test which revealed an
- 31:33injury. Now, for anybody that knows that
- 31:37this year could be a strike at the end of the year.
- 31:40So what does that tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that Tarik
- 31:43Schuble was expecting a $500 million contract.
- 31:47Now you're hearing that he has elbow problems again and he
- 31:49needs surgery. He could be back this year.
- 31:52If you're a buyer and you want to buy into Tarik Schuble, who's
- 31:56going to be 30 years old, and you're going to buy into this
- 31:59guy and give him $500 million, you must be on drugs.
- 32:02This guy has already had Tommy John surgery and now he's having
- 32:05another arthroscopic surgery on his elbow.
- 32:08This is not good news, guys. It's not.
- 32:10I don't care when anybody says I don't care if it's left elbow.
- 32:13I don't care if it's right elbow.
- 32:14It's not good news. And nobody, including the New
- 32:17York Mets, New York Yankees, well, you know, the Yankees
- 32:20aren't going to do that with their pitching right now.
- 32:21They don't need it and. The Mets are not going to do
- 32:23that because they stink. That's might do that because
- 32:25Steve Cohen will invest into money just to just for the sake
- 32:28of throwing a billion dollars into a player.
- 32:31I think that this would keep you away.
- 32:33This is good for Detroit because Detroit now might be sitting on
- 32:37maybe giving him a 250 three $100 million contract and giving
- 32:40him a $500 million contract and losing him the free agents.
- 32:43I, I still think he'll probably go to the Dodgers unless they
- 32:46figure out this the deferred money.
- 32:48But nevertheless, what it smells like, well, it smells pretty
- 32:52good as far as I'm concerned because you don't have any of
- 32:56these New York teams throwing away money to a player that
- 32:59might never be at 100% again. So that's what it smells like.
- 33:04I, I think that's all I got to submit.
- 33:05I I don't really throw things out like an Amazon rainforest or
- 33:08whatever you want to call cherries and berries.
- 33:12And I think your judge tires smell gross.
- 33:13You should like that. Well, that's true.
- 33:15By the way, has anybody had cotton candy grapes?
- 33:18Has anybody had that? Before, Yeah, I like them, those
- 33:21things are. Those things are So I went out
- 33:24to New Hampshire and we went shopping and I saw these cotton
- 33:27candy grapes and I was like, what is cotton candy grapes?
- 33:30I bought them and I started eating them like it tastes like
- 33:34cotton candy. It's so good.
- 33:36Yeah, there's a couple of grapes out there that are like, kind of
- 33:39like weird, like crosses with things.
- 33:41You'd be surprised. There's a red grape that's good
- 33:42like that too. I don't forget what it's crossed
- 33:44with, but you'll like it. Oh.
- 33:45It's so good, guys. If you ever see that in your
- 33:48stores, cotton candy grapes, go buy a couple of packs of those.
- 33:51Those are delicious. I have them, actually.
- 33:54So we bought a bunch of them and Brittany took them because my
- 33:57sister was taking them home and she grabbed them before we left
- 34:00and she says those grapes are ours.
- 34:03She didn't want anybody to take them.
- 34:05So but they were they were delicious.
- 34:07It is funny, but it's it's delicious.
- 34:09So shout out to Brittany. She saved me a lot of time
- 34:12because I, I want to experience eating those things again.

- 35:45But anyways, again, Speedy, who we have on Monday and Thursday.
- 35:49All right, return on Thursday. Returning to the show on
- 35:51Thursday. She was on with us a couple of
- 35:53years ago. She's an agent.
- 35:55She also was a semi pro snowboarder.
- 35:57So at the Super Bowl. Yes, she was at the NFL draft as
- 35:59well. She's an agent from several
- 36:01different players. The owner or the CEO of BG
- 36:04Sports Enterprises. It is Brittany Gilman.
- 36:06She has a new book out as well. It is No Stilettos on the Field.
- 36:10Just released the day of the draft.
- 36:12Yeah, she does have nice legs. I can't lie, can't lie, ladies
- 36:15and. Gentlemen, Oh my God.
- 36:17I mean, look, those are her legs.
- 36:19Those are real big. Going Doll.
- 36:21Dude, Justin, she, she by the way, she was Olympic, Olympic
- 36:26snowboarder and she's doing such great things.
- 36:29Brittany's been a friend of the show and she does a lot of
- 36:32travelling and I have a lot of fun with her when she comes on
- 36:34the show. I always shoot the crap with her
- 36:36and she loves, she loves coming on the show.
- 36:38We have a lot of fun on the back end of it.
- 36:40So I'm excited to get her on a show.
- 36:42I'd like to speak about her business and and all the things
- 36:45that she's doing on the back end of it.
- 36:47So thank you, Brittany, and I'm sure you guys will enjoy her.
- 36:50She's got a lot of stories and a lot of craziness with us, but
- 36:54yeah. Anyways, anything set up for
- 36:56next week too? Yes, Nathan did get Vince
- 36:59Papale, the former Eagles receiver, first undrafted free
- 37:03agent ever, Invincible the movie.
- 37:05He's on Monday at 8:20. And then Greg Odin and the
- 37:09director, I don't know the director's name.
- 37:10I'll ask Nathan on that. One the first pick of the Kevin
- 37:13Durant, yes. May 14th at 8:20 Greg Odin will
- 37:18be on and like I said, Brittany Gilman will be on 8:00 on this
- 37:21Thursday. And don't worry, everybody I
- 37:23know, you know guys like Hugh wants to make fun of man boobs,
- 37:26but these are pecs. He doesn't have any.
- 37:28So I can help him out. If you need some workouts and
- 37:30training, I can help him out on that.
- 37:32He doesn't do any push ups anymore, but I'll help him
- 37:34there. I can do it.
- 37:36And if he needs help with his basketball knowledge too, I can
- 37:38help. Him there?
- 37:39It's pointy. It's over there.
- 37:41There is nothing pointy about my my pecs, man.
- 37:45I've actually got pecs. You don't.
- 37:47That's OK. It's OK.
- 37:49I like to show up my. Muscles out.
- 37:53I'm sorry, but you, you it's OK. It's OK, dude.
- 37:56You like to hide. That they're pointy.
- 37:58He doesn't know what point he is, but he's, he's got, he's got
- 38:02like he likes to hide his chest because he's probably, you know,
- 38:05he's probably growing. Up a round table over there.
- 38:08A round table. Don't worry, I'll help Quinn
- 38:11out. Quinn needs some help.
- 38:12I'll help him out with some workouts.
- 38:13You know, I gave some tips to Jabba, so I might give QA little
- 38:16bit of. Workout try.
- 38:18Anyways, anyways, that's it for the show.
- 38:21Mr. Pointy Man and Mr. Know It All man is there.
- 38:24I'm going to say goodnight. Farewell.
- 38:26We'll talk to you Thursday. Shoot a lick or shoot a shot or
- 38:30just win a basketball game, which the Knicks did.
- 38:33Michael Bridges did, too. That's over.
- 38:35Goodnight. It is The worldwide.
- 38:38Sports Radio Network.
