But they don't care because a lot of people are just listening to the audio. It says, I don't think we introduced my ⁓ yeah. Let's introduce your shirt. Hello shirt. This is, is a Shimmy the shirt. And he says, I like coffee and maybe three people. Right. Am I in that? Maybe. We just want tell you a story. ⁓ Rupert, everybody had a minor surgery recently, and I would like to thank you for all of your and prayers and cards and gifts and money that you've sent. Yeah, it was really generous and really unexpected. you really went through. Quite an ordeal. I did. Would you share with our audience? I had a mole removed on my back. That's it. Non cancerous mole. Yeah, well, we can't even jazz it up. No, an unsightly mole that I've had since a child. I well, I've had him a whole life. Okay. I think I have. don't know when it showed up. it's hard to know because it's on your back. I can never see it. So it was just I had this gross mole And ⁓ my son, was very upset and didn't want me to have it removed because he liked to play the mole. James is 20. He's 20 now and he still would probably like to press on my mole. You wanted to save the mole for your son. I did. You asked. We'll get there. Okay. So the mole was about, I don't know, how big was it? It was, ⁓ what would you Like your pinky tip maybe. Maybe like the tip of your pinky. Maybe like the top of a Q-tip? Yeah. Yeah, but much more unsightly and brown. Round. And brown. Round brown Q-tip. It's like a Q-tip that's been stuffed up my butt. Sure. Okay. If you... Are familiar with that sensation? Not Q-tips. so I went to a dermatologist in Laval and my son James, actually, okay, there's a lot of history to this mole. A drummer in my band from like 30 years ago or whatever, Eric. called it my starter, because it looked like a button, on a starter button on like a lawnmower or something. So he used to chase me around. And because I was English and he was French, he would say it was my starter button to put me in French mode. every time he would... It was the translator. Yeah. Every time he would press it, I would have to make French noises. I wouldn't actually say words, but I would make French noises. Can we try it? But like, just pretend I'm touching your back. Yeah. Okay. Go ahead. So you would just be speaking I said the same thing every time. So go ahead and press it whenever So I'm talking then I'd be like doing normal things and then you would do that whenever I'm doing... So ⁓ it was like a starter. was like... To start the engine. So you to a French engine. Yeah. don't know. a frengine I'm saying... ⁓ It doesn't make any sense. But Eric, my drummer, used to follow me and press it and I'd go... ⁓ Okay, so anyway, so then I told that to James much later when I had kids, I told it to James and then he loved it he would always be pressing my back trying to get me to say, we called it my starter and he loved the mole so much. like it's kind of, it was kind of gross. And so I've been meaning to get it lopped off. And so I finally booked the appointment. I went to get it lopped off and I private, right? So I'm at a dermatology clinic and you she's doing the procedure and like she lops it off or whatever. It like two seconds. And then she has to send it in like a... A vial? Yeah, like a vial. The medical thing. Yeah. Yeah. looked like a, yeah, like a pee cup type of thing. She had to send it to a somewhere lab to be... to make sure it's not cancerous. because legally they're, they're obligated. Yeah, but I didn't know that because I wanted to save the mole for James, right? So do you think it would have still worked when separated from your body? I guess I but I would have to like know he's pressing it somehow. Imagine he was in his he kept it in his in his bedroom or something and he pressed it and I'd be like in the kitchen all of a sudden like like what the James stop it and like the starter button mole voodoo mole So the mole, ⁓ after it was lopped off and she put it in thing, I'm like, ⁓ she goes, yeah, we've to send it to be examined or whatever. I said, I was hoping I could keep it. She goes, no, I gotta send it to whatever. I wonder how many people ask to their... Probably They're amputated moles. I thought everybody would, but whatever. So the mole is now supposedly in a little container on desk and we're talking about other stuff and I'm asking about issues and all this. And then she said, yeah, no, you can't keep it. And I said, well, can I take a picture of the mole then for my son? ⁓ a selfie? ⁓ hey. So she said, yeah, okay, go ahead. I'm like, great. So then I go to grab the container and there's no mole in it. I'm like, it's not here. And she's like, what? ⁓ said, the mole's not in the. She goes, I, dropped it in there. You saw me do it. I'm like, I thought I saw you do it. She's like, I have to find this mole. And I was like, That's no big deal. goes, no, no, I have to find it. I'm like, okay. So then the poor dermatologist, this young woman, she's like on her hands and knees on the floor of the clinic, trying to find out where the mole had rolled away to. And it had apparently, like she was going through the garbage because that's where all the, all the like stuff that you put on my back. the surgical waste or whatever. And so she was going through the garbage trying to find it. And then she yelled out, I found it. I found it. I'm like, awesome. know, press it, make sure it's the right one. But no, so she found the mole And then she's like, oh, thank God. I'm so sorry. That's never ever happened to me before. I'm like, I think it's awesome. You know, I really wouldn't have cared if we never found it. Oh, my God. I think it's hilarious. It was pretty funny to see. poor woman doctor on the floor looking for you her desk with just her butt sticking out as she was looking for this mole than she'd be like no that's a jelly bean ⁓ found it no that was a cashew from my trail mix we have a mouse problem we have rat problem because it looked more like that wow yeah so anyway it was sent off to the lab i guess and non-cancerous yeah and all good ⁓ everything was okay wow your starter button what a We just thought you might appreciate the mole story.
