- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 2: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm
- 0:28Speaker 2: a former Hallmark hater. It's time for Listener Mailbag episode
- 0:33Speaker 2: number two for the month of December, because you, our
- 0:36Speaker 2: lovely listeners, have been bringing it with the Listener Mailbag
- 0:40Speaker 2: emails and we appreciate it. We haven't done a Hallmark
- 0:44Speaker 2: News episode in a long time. Headlines, my friend, you
- 0:48Speaker 2: have forgotten the title of it. You're right, headlines. We
- 0:51Speaker 2: haven't done one of those in a long time. It's
- 0:53Speaker 2: because there's not a ton of headlines. I gonna know,
- 0:56Speaker 2: I know, we're gonna get to a big one here
- 0:58Speaker 2: in a minute. But during the summer season there seems
- 1:02Speaker 2: to be a lot of headlines because everything is forthcoming
- 1:04Speaker 2: for a countdown to Christmas, right, sure, what's in production
- 1:08Speaker 2: and what the rumors are and this and that and whatever,
- 1:11Speaker 2: And then it gets kind of quiet because we just
- 1:13Speaker 2: get all the product of that. Yeah, but now we
- 1:17Speaker 2: have a headline, but we can't put it in its
- 1:19Speaker 2: own show. Well, let's do two headlines, or we have
- 1:22Speaker 2: two headlines. One's gonna surprise you.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Oh you know.
- 1:27Speaker 2: The headline just it's just a Hallmark notes and that
- 1:30Speaker 2: is the news about the series Ripple. Yeah, so we
- 1:34Speaker 2: had talked. Ripple was originally slated for Hallmark. We were
- 1:37Speaker 2: so excited it was slated for Homemark Plus back when
- 1:40Speaker 2: Hallmark Plus was getting exclusive content.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Actually we have three homeworks. I saw the wheels turning.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I saw them turning. So Ripple was originally slated for
- 1:50Speaker 1: Hallmark Plus. And then you and I kept saying where's Ripple.
- 1:55Speaker 2: In fact, we were in front of someone from Hallmark
- 1:59Speaker 2: and I said where's Ripple and this person said, it's
- 2:03Speaker 2: just not on the schedule yet.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I was like okay, like get that answer was good
- 2:08Speaker 2: enough for me. Yeah at the time. And then nearly
- 2:12Speaker 2: six weeks later, Ripple ends up on freaking Netflix. Yeah,
- 2:17Speaker 2: like out of nowhere, out of nowhere.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'd love to know the behind the scenes was it.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I was like, well, they're not.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Really dropping exclusive content on Hallmark Plus anymore.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Stay tuned, but.
- 2:29Speaker 2: So maybe the maybe the deal was it was supposed
- 2:31Speaker 2: to go straight to Hallmark Plus, but now they're not
- 2:32Speaker 2: doing that, so they had to resell it. Anyway, It's
- 2:35Speaker 2: on Netflix, and you will know this because of when
- 2:38Speaker 2: this episode comes out, But we are reviewing Ripple right
- 2:42Speaker 2: here on Girls Gone Hallmark and perhaps some additional non
- 2:47Speaker 2: Hallmark titles.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that's breaking news, baby, bit ba babe.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Do you like my newstickers? I do? I do.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I think we will be also reviewing Champagne Problems on
- 2:56Speaker 2: Netflix this week as part of potentially the Girl's Gone
- 3:00Speaker 2: Hallmark expansion. That's right, taking over the rom com world
- 3:05Speaker 2: girls streaming.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Girls god Stream. I was like, one review at a time.
- 3:09Speaker 2: If you haven't listened to our review of Ripple yet
- 3:12Speaker 2: because you're like, I'm not watching that show because it's
- 3:15Speaker 2: not on Hallmark, get your remotes right now and fire
- 3:19Speaker 2: up Ripple on Netflix and then come listen to our
- 3:22Speaker 2: review of it. Uh huh yeah, yeah, what's the next
- 3:26Speaker 2: what's the next headline?
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna save the best for last? So the next headline?
- 3:30Speaker 1: You had three? I know, So I'm gonna save the
- 3:32Speaker 1: best for last. I just did one. Okay, okay, okay,
- 3:35Speaker 1: number two.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We have a new direct to Hallmark Plus reality television
- 3:43Speaker 2: show First impression. I am not excited about this. We're
- 3:45Speaker 2: not reviewing this right Do you want.
- 3:48Speaker 1: To I don't know. I don't know.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I gotta see it. I gotta see it. The show
- 3:51Speaker 2: is called Second Chance Love. It is hosted by Chili,
- 3:54Speaker 2: yes the Chili of TLC Fame, and Matthew Lawrence.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Who are a real life couple. Okay.
- 4:01Speaker 2: It's an unscripted series and it is about couples who
- 4:06Speaker 2: broke up anywhere between five and thirty years ago, having
- 4:10Speaker 2: a second chance at love, reunited, reunited, and at the
- 4:16Speaker 2: end of their journey, they have to decide do we
- 4:18Speaker 2: leave together or separately? Because they go to Italy, they
- 4:21Speaker 2: got to figure out the spark is still there.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Honestly, you said, you're not excited. I kind of am.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I am not.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I have so many questions. This cannot be a Hallmark
- 4:28Speaker 2: Plus original this. Did they purchase this from somebody? Like?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Was this a reality show?
- 4:34Speaker 2: That unscripted show that they purchased like an acquisition, and
- 4:39Speaker 2: they're like, let's put it on Hallmark Plus.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I don't when was it filmed? How old is it?
- 4:45Speaker 2: It's not old because I saw photos from Italy on
- 4:49Speaker 2: the instagrams of Matthew and Chili before it was announced.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But where they were m Chili says working with Hallmark
- 4:56Speaker 2: is a dream come true because the brand represents good
- 4:58Speaker 2: quality content. So I love what Homework stands for. And
- 5:02Speaker 2: this project is beth special to Matthew and me for
- 5:05Speaker 2: several reasons. As executive producers and hosts. We can't wait
- 5:08Speaker 2: to share the inspiration behind the pursuit of true love.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Creative way.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Jonathan and Meredith Sinclair. I feel like Jonathan Sinclair is
- 5:18Speaker 2: a name we know. Oh interesting, Jonathan Sinclair. Oprah's master
- 5:24Speaker 2: Class fifty two episodes, a series called released, a series
- 5:28Speaker 2: called ion La Fixed My Life. He's an he's an
- 5:30Speaker 2: own guy.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I wonder if this was for own. Oprah goes to Broadway.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I wonder if it was for own.
- 5:36Speaker 2: He's done a lot for Oprah. Perhaps this has an
- 5:39Speaker 2: own sensibility. It does, It certainly does well.
- 5:43Speaker 1: We'll see. I'm I'm not I'm not writing it off.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest. I'm interested.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I don't think it's gonna get the eyeballs. I'm sorry, No,
- 5:51Speaker 2: I don't think so either, But I'm interested. I'm watching
- 5:53Speaker 2: at least an episode. Okay, you know what we're definitely
- 5:56Speaker 2: going to be watching is Dodd one year from now.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I mean, we thought they milked the chiefs.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Just you wait, folks, Disney World and Hallmark are teaming
- 6:08Speaker 2: up for Holiday ever after the Disney World Wish Come True.
- 6:14Speaker 2: It will debut during countdown to Christmas twenty twenty six.
- 6:18Speaker 2: The movie will start Lazy Shabert and Travis Van Winkle,
- 6:22Speaker 2: who is a fave of mine. I'll be honest, what
- 6:25Speaker 2: has he been in? No shade of Travis van Winkle.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I've been reviewing Hallmark movies for five years.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Now, where's he been? I don't think I've ever reviewed
- 6:34Speaker 1: a movie with him in it. Maybe true.
- 6:37Speaker 2: He is in the World's Cutest Christmas Movie, which is
- 6:40Speaker 2: called Project Christmas Wish from twenty twenty I recommend it.
- 6:44Speaker 2: He was also intis the Season to Be Merry. Since then,
- 6:48Speaker 2: he has not been on Hallmark, but he was in
- 6:49Speaker 2: the television series Fu Bar, which I believe is a
- 6:52Speaker 2: Netflix series with Arnold Schwarzenacher. He's also in nine episodes
- 6:56Speaker 2: of the series You Oh, I Do Love that, Serius.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I just kind of peel off season three. I don't
- 7:01Speaker 2: think I've continued past then, So he's been doing other
- 7:04Speaker 2: non Hallmark stuff. It's coming back. Also in this movie,
- 7:09Speaker 2: Richard Kind from only murders in the building and inside out,
- 7:13Speaker 2: Christy Carlton Romano Campossible, and even Stevens, Bryce Durfy from
- 7:18Speaker 2: General Hospital, Teagan Burns from The Mighty Ducks, Game Changers,
- 7:21Speaker 2: Asher Alexander from Halan Harper, and Patrick Renna from The
- 7:25Speaker 2: sand Lot having his renaissance as a TikTok superstar. Let
- 7:30Speaker 2: me tell you when photos from Disney World started to
- 7:34Speaker 2: emerge last week.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And people were like, what is this?
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah, they were like, people were making tiktoks about like
- 7:40Speaker 2: Lacy Shaver is here in Disneyland. Yeah, not Disneyland, sorry,
- 7:43Speaker 2: disney World in Florida, the inferior Disney property. I agree
- 7:47Speaker 2: with that. It's too damn hot there. Don't go in
- 7:50Speaker 2: the summertime. No, from personal experience, yep. Anyway, I was like,
- 7:54Speaker 2: for sure, this can't be Hallmark. You know, I'm often
- 7:58Speaker 2: wrong and like I have no I'm admitting that, but
- 8:00Speaker 2: I thought, oh, this is a Disney movie that she's making,
- 8:03Speaker 2: and like good for her, Lacy, Like sure enough, though
- 8:07Speaker 2: it's a Hallmark project, I'm color me shocked.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Jennifer Aspen is connected to this proj She's on every
- 8:14Speaker 1: single movie.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I feel like we've reviewed this year, she's attached to
- 8:18Speaker 2: as a producer.
- 8:18Speaker 1: She has got her hand and everything. Yeah, look I'm
- 8:21Speaker 1: excited about it.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Also written and directed by Ryan Landell's Oh thank You,
- 8:27Speaker 2: thank you, because we don't have anything.
- 8:29Speaker 1: From him this year.
- 8:30Speaker 2: No, and Ryan Landells wrote Tanta Tullmy and Sugar Plumb
- 8:36Speaker 2: last year, wrote and directed. He's writing and directing this
- 8:40Speaker 2: like he came out of nowhere last year. Wrote to
- 8:41Speaker 2: Smash Hits and I DM him and was like, we're thrilled.
- 8:46Speaker 1: To see you coming back.
- 8:48Speaker 2: It's just going to be a full year of Disney activation,
- 8:52Speaker 2: yes and all. Oh, it's going to be a full
- 8:55Speaker 2: year of Disney activations. And I bet your bottom dollar
- 8:59Speaker 2: they're going to have a whole kickoff next year in
- 9:01Speaker 2: Disney World and all that stuff. So your favorite content
- 9:06Speaker 2: creators are right here.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I mean, do it hear it at Disneyland. They won't.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's not the thing. It's not the collapse.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I wonder why they did it at disney World and
- 9:15Speaker 2: not disney Land. AlSi lives here in La doesn't she
- 9:19Speaker 2: I have no idea me neither. Let's take a quick
- 9:22Speaker 2: break and come right back with some listener mailbag emails
- 9:34Speaker 2: Jammie writes in regarding the Christmas Cup episode, which I
- 9:39Speaker 2: feel like I need to apologize for that in a
- 9:42Speaker 2: catnip cafe. We're just so at my wits end. Sure,
- 9:46Speaker 2: thankfully her email is not about how terrible the episode was.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It is.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Instead, she writes, I am sure I'm not the first
- 9:54Speaker 2: or only person to email you narrators note you are,
- 9:57Speaker 2: but Ben Rosenbaum slash Mike Hick them from Winn Calls
- 10:01Speaker 2: the Heart is also Aaron Craikow's husband soon to be
- 10:04Speaker 2: baby daddy.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we did not mention that.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I don't watch Wind Calls the Heart. I didn't actually
- 10:10Speaker 2: didn't know.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I did see though.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Aaron just announced that she's expecting. Yes, I knew she
- 10:16Speaker 2: was married to somebody like recently from the cast.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I just didn't know who that was. Yeah, our apologies.
- 10:24Speaker 1: There's no shade, no and there baby announce Some pictures
- 10:27Speaker 1: could not be freaking cute. They're like in a photo booth.
- 10:29Speaker 1: So cute.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah that's really cute. Good for them, you know. Oh,
- 10:34Speaker 2: also Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace they're also having a baby. Yes,
- 10:38Speaker 2: so many hardy babies are they filming that show? Right? Now, No,
- 10:42Speaker 2: they're done, right, I'm sure they're done.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I think they're done because it comes out in a
- 10:45Speaker 1: couple of weeks. Yeah.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I was watching the Homewark Christmas Experience Special, yes the
- 10:51Speaker 2: other night.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Did they give you fomo?
- 10:53Speaker 2: Hardcore fomo? Because I'm like, these people were in the
- 10:56Speaker 2: rooms that we were in.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Every time I see a shot of that tree, I'm like,
- 11:01Speaker 2: that's the room stood right there. Oh yeah our room.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Our room overlooked like that square. Yes, we had a
- 11:07Speaker 2: great view. I'm talking like downstairs and because we had
- 11:10Speaker 2: access to the green room. Oh and I'm a quoting
- 11:13Speaker 2: green room, nobody else was ever in there, but it
- 11:15Speaker 2: was only ever us and I swear that's there was.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Did you watch the special? Not yet, but they have
- 11:21Speaker 1: like this.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Moment where like Ben and Kim and maybe Robert Buckley
- 11:27Speaker 2: not Junior or all in this room And I'm like,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I think they're in that room that we were in. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 2: it has to be anyway, just that you know that
- 11:35Speaker 2: hotel has a certain lighting about it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Sure took you back.
- 11:39Speaker 2: That was a fun trip, even though I'm we were
- 11:41Speaker 2: just talking earlier today about I don't know how we
- 11:43Speaker 2: did the cruise and that Kansas City experience, which, by
- 11:45Speaker 2: the way, we flew home on December twenty second from
- 11:48Speaker 2: Kansas City.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Wow.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I don't know how we put two trips because I'm
- 11:52Speaker 2: so far underwater this holiday season. But my husband, he goes,
- 11:58Speaker 2: you know, I was just looking to see if we
- 11:59Speaker 2: can fly out to Kansas City next weekend for.
- 12:03Speaker 1: The third month of the event. I love this guy
- 12:05Speaker 1: just is like, let's just go.
- 12:08Speaker 2: But he was like, flights are outrageous, and I said,
- 12:10Speaker 2: because it's in four days. Yeah, you wouldn't be able
- 12:12Speaker 2: to get a room at that hotel probably, No, no, no, no.
- 12:15Speaker 1: He wants to go to the Chiefs game.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I just want to like hang in the lobby and
- 12:19Speaker 2: see the people and go to the panels, So I
- 12:23Speaker 2: would not be going to the Chiefs game. Zurine that
- 12:26Speaker 2: special there was a little Merry Christmas everybody from Aaron
- 12:30Speaker 2: Craikou and Kevin McGarry, and they were in costume for
- 12:33Speaker 2: Win Costa Heart, which I'm sure they filmed at some
- 12:35Speaker 2: point when they were filming, but I was like trying
- 12:37Speaker 2: to look. I was like, does she look pregnant? I
- 12:39Speaker 2: don't know, like what her due date is or not.
- 12:41Speaker 2: That any of it is any of my business. I'm
- 12:44Speaker 2: just curious. Timeline. Yeah, yeah, Timeline, That's all. Diane writes
- 12:47Speaker 2: in about the sheer volume of Thanksgiving movies and says, Hi, ladies,
- 12:51Speaker 2: I heard you asking if listeners thought so many Thanksgiving
- 12:54Speaker 2: weekend movies like this year is too many? And I
- 12:56Speaker 2: say yes, On a normal weekend, I am able to
- 13:00Speaker 2: record the movies and watch them when I have time
- 13:02Speaker 2: throughout the week, timing right with your reviews, and being
- 13:05Speaker 2: done before the next weekend. I just love that we're
- 13:07Speaker 2: part of that whole process. Same neelas to say. Here
- 13:10Speaker 2: we are at the weekend after Thanksgiving and I still
- 13:12Speaker 2: have multiple movies from last week to watch. It makes
- 13:15Speaker 2: me feel overwhelmed and anxious. I feel rushed instead of
- 13:18Speaker 2: excited about watching, especially since I know I am getting
- 13:22Speaker 2: ready to add three more to my cueue. There are
- 13:24Speaker 2: days when I just don't have the time to watch
- 13:26Speaker 2: a Hallmark movie and sometimes just want to watch football
- 13:29Speaker 2: or something else with my husband. Same and putting out
- 13:32Speaker 2: so many on a weekend is just bound to get
- 13:34Speaker 2: me behind. I know I can take my time and
- 13:37Speaker 2: just watch once my schedule permits, but I prefer to
- 13:39Speaker 2: watch when the movies have just come out. I say
- 13:42Speaker 2: quality is more important than quantity on Thanksgiving weekend, sing
- 13:47Speaker 2: it Diane, I agree. I think we don't need the
- 13:52Speaker 2: two firs during things go.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Let's just do Look.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I'm okay with Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night,
- 14:00Speaker 2: but not the two first.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Even my husband's behind.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I think in this house, I think there was plenty
- 14:07Speaker 2: of opportunity on the schedule to either one not re
- 14:13Speaker 2: air some movies that were originally Hallmark Plus, which they
- 14:17Speaker 2: did with Cherry Lane. I think maybe there were a
- 14:21Speaker 2: few acquisitions in there that they could have let fall
- 14:23Speaker 2: to the wayside and sprinkled these movies out through the
- 14:27Speaker 2: Countain Christmas in previous years we would have had miracles
- 14:30Speaker 2: on Christmas on Thursday nights we have.
- 14:32Speaker 1: There are other nights of the.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Week we could have had some Thursday night releases.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I agree.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Facebook moderator Mackie alerted us to a review that Russell
- 14:42Speaker 2: Hanline dropped on Letterbox regarding the movie An Alpine Holiday.
- 14:47Speaker 2: He writes, this movie is set in the French Alps,
- 14:50Speaker 2: So my friend Lucy that's adorable, got to visit the
- 14:55Speaker 2: French Alps to shoot this movie. Meanwhile, I keep writing
- 14:58Speaker 2: movies set in small North my and towns that shoot
- 15:01Speaker 2: in small Canadian towns. No to self write more movies
- 15:04Speaker 2: with scenic international settings, something like I don't know, Ted
- 15:08Speaker 2: Cooper takes Copenhagen or Scandinavian Santa Class or The Three
- 15:13Speaker 2: Wise Men Tokyo Drift. You guys insert laughter track here
- 15:19Speaker 2: that is so freaking funny and my wheels are spinning.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I'm like, yes, what movie did we say? Haul Out
- 15:27Speaker 2: the Holly needs some sort of international because we need
- 15:32Speaker 2: Wes Brown to go off and do the Santa Class
- 15:35Speaker 2: in Copenhagen.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Or Nelson Russell Haynes line lab.
- 15:39Speaker 2: One and then it says in parentheses, I actually have
- 15:43Speaker 2: a great idea for a Santa Summit sequel that involves
- 15:46Speaker 2: travel across the globe. Seems destined not to come to life,
- 15:50Speaker 2: but a fella can dream. And excuse me, I say, what,
- 15:54Speaker 2: Look this from the man who shopped Hot Frosty for
- 15:56Speaker 2: years and years and years.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Don't give up Russel, Oh, Netflix.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Russell, no shade to Hallmark. I'm just saying, Russell, you
- 16:06Speaker 2: are a great screenwriter, Like put your work out there
- 16:11Speaker 2: everywhere you don't just have to pigeonhole yourself into Hallmark.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I mean, says the girl who's sitting at a kitchen
- 16:17Speaker 2: table right now.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Like I don't know.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Jack about how movies are made, but I feel like
- 16:22Speaker 2: you've got a home anywhere.
- 16:24Speaker 1: That's right.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Mandy writes in regarding We Met in December, and she says,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I've been enjoying the reviews for countown to Christmas movies,
- 16:31Speaker 2: and I certainly feel like they have leveled up this year.
- 16:34Speaker 2: One thing I did notice that somehow made it past editing,
- 16:36Speaker 2: and I'm curious if any other viewers noticed this. On
- 16:39Speaker 2: the We Met in December kiss. As Dave was walking
- 16:42Speaker 2: back into the elevator post kiss, he awkwardly had something
- 16:46Speaker 2: in his mouth and had to move it around before
- 16:48Speaker 2: saying his next line. I had to rewatch to make
- 16:51Speaker 2: sure I was seeing it correctly, but that kind of
- 16:53Speaker 2: ruined the moment for me. Anyone going to rewatch to
- 16:56Speaker 2: find it?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Lol? It's around the one hour one it mark on Homework. Plus.
- 17:02Speaker 2: I also agree Dave's character could have been more interesting,
- 17:05Speaker 2: and loved the costume choices for Annie. Excuse me, time out,
- 17:08Speaker 2: time out, time out, time out? Did we ever say
- 17:10Speaker 2: Dave's character was not interesting. I don't I remember either.
- 17:14Speaker 2: This is what I'm wondering. Does Dave Niall have gum
- 17:17Speaker 2: in his mouth? Because he just had a smooch with
- 17:19Speaker 2: on a racer and that's what he's What would he
- 17:21Speaker 2: have in his mouth? He's not like have a like a.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Load of chew. I was like, I don't even know
- 17:29Speaker 1: what it's called. But thank you Megan for saving me.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Hold on, here we go, let me come see. That's
- 17:38Speaker 1: a Breek kiss. Great kiss. Oh, he definitely has them
- 17:44Speaker 1: in his mouth.
- 17:45Speaker 2: It's gum or a mint. It's not like last night's chicken.
- 17:50Speaker 1: A popcorn, Colonel grapes.
- 17:53Speaker 2: If you guys watch I Day mister Christmas, you will
- 17:56Speaker 2: understand that reference.
- 17:58Speaker 1: It is.
- 17:59Speaker 2: It is hard to un see it though, now that
- 18:00Speaker 2: I've seen it, But yeah, it looks like gum to me,
- 18:02Speaker 2: I'm sure it doesn't.
- 18:03Speaker 1: It's not off putting. That kiss was hot.
- 18:05Speaker 2: He wanted fresh breath to kiss his.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Partner scene scene partner. Thank you.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Another email from Mackie regarding movies set in high school,
- 18:21Speaker 2: Wendy mentioning, I have not read this email, so I'm
- 18:23Speaker 2: a little bit nervous, right, now you're fine. Wendy mintioning
- 18:26Speaker 2: in your review of The Snow Must Go On that
- 18:28Speaker 2: she enjoys high school settings and Christmas movies gave me
- 18:31Speaker 2: the idea to check your A through Z listne for
- 18:34Speaker 2: in Mary Measure from twenty twenty two. Since it isn't
- 18:38Speaker 2: currently on there, I want to highly recommend it for
- 18:40Speaker 2: the both of you. It was Russell Haylean's first Hallmark
- 18:43Speaker 2: movie and it stars Patty Muirn and Brendan Penny. I
- 18:45Speaker 2: think you would enjoy. As a matter of fact, my
- 18:47Speaker 2: first thought after watching The Snow Must Go On was
- 18:50Speaker 2: that it would make a great double future within Mary Measure.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Are you rushing because we have so many things to
- 18:54Speaker 1: say about this email? No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean
- 18:57Speaker 1: to No, no, no, I was like, w through it. I
- 18:59Speaker 1: have thoughts that movie. We did not review it.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I did watch it because that was the first year
- 19:03Speaker 2: we did the Bracket and that movie came on strong
- 19:07Speaker 2: in the Bracket and I was like, well, heck, I
- 19:09Speaker 2: have to go and watch it.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Because of Russell Haneline activating.
- 19:14Speaker 2: For his exactly exactly yeah at yes, speaking of Russell Hayneline,
- 19:20Speaker 2: that was his first Hallmark movie. That's a cute movie.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I have seen it as well. You're right, we didn't
- 19:26Speaker 2: review it.
- 19:27Speaker 1: You know how.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Sometimes movies like the where and when of watching them
- 19:31Speaker 2: sticks with you. I vividly remember it was Christmas break.
- 19:35Speaker 2: My husband was watching that movie and I was deep
- 19:37Speaker 2: cleaning the kitchen, like the cabinets, taking everything out, scrubbing
- 19:40Speaker 2: it down, and that was on.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So I've seen it, Yeah, I haven't seen it.
- 19:44Speaker 2: With the review worthy, I also shout out to our
- 19:48Speaker 2: a zine listing which is on our website, Girls Go one,
- 19:50Speaker 2: Hallmark dot com. It's LinkedIn the sidebar. We have a
- 19:53Speaker 2: listening of every single movie we reviewed. It automatically updates, right,
- 19:57Speaker 2: it automatically updates.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It's alphabetical. I haven't actually looked in a while. Let's
- 20:02Speaker 1: make sure it's actually more. I hope it's updating.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Gosh, right, look for an alpine holiday and alpine holidays there. Okay, good,
- 20:10Speaker 2: it's automatically updating. It's automatically updating. I mean, there are
- 20:13Speaker 2: some good movies in here. So you can just scroll
- 20:18Speaker 2: dot list.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Can you search? Is there a search function on it?
- 20:21Speaker 1: Or now there's a search function on your computer? Or
- 20:23Speaker 1: just yeah, command F.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And you can search, but there is no search funk.
- 20:27Speaker 2: You can search our website. Movies will come up that
- 20:29Speaker 2: way as well. Our final email is from Jan, who
- 20:32Speaker 2: wrote to us about the Mistletoe Murders finale. She says
- 20:35Speaker 2: a few comments on the podcast for the latest Missletone Murders.
- 20:38Speaker 2: A little background. I worked in a college international relations
- 20:42Speaker 2: department and had students who did internships with the FBI
- 20:45Speaker 2: and CIA and State Department, and my daughter was in
- 20:48Speaker 2: the FBI.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Very cool, Felo, She's giving us a lot of information.
- 20:52Speaker 2: She shouldn't be.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:56Speaker 1: What's your code name?
- 20:56Speaker 2: Jan? They leave quote intelligence purposeful broad, but it would
- 21:01Speaker 2: most likely be CIA given the covert nature of the
- 21:04Speaker 2: explosion scenes and the training she displays. Yes, government intelligence
- 21:09Speaker 2: agencies do occasionally turn criminals into special operatives. The movie
- 21:15Speaker 2: Catch Me If You Can is all about the government
- 21:17Speaker 2: doing this and is based on a true story. Grace
- 21:20Speaker 2: is also a good target for such a program because
- 21:22Speaker 2: she has no family, no one to ask questions or
- 21:24Speaker 2: need to know where she is. Her computer skills would
- 21:27Speaker 2: be a huge asset too. The National Security Agency would
- 21:31Speaker 2: be a good spot for her skills, providing the computer
- 21:33Speaker 2: background slash framework. But I don't think they have field agents.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Love this series so much. Need more than six episodes
- 21:39Speaker 2: next year. Those science chan Us two, Ken Coperris and Hollmark.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Please make that happen. I was thinking about this the
- 21:47Speaker 2: other day. You talk about like cleaning the kitchen cabinet
- 21:50Speaker 2: and remembering that in Mary Measure was on. I was
- 21:53Speaker 2: cleaning my bathroom the other day and I had this
- 21:55Speaker 2: thought about that email from Ken Cooperris. Oh, actually wasn't
- 21:58Speaker 2: an email. I think it was a message him saying
- 22:00Speaker 2: that Emily stores open your round year around and he
- 22:05Speaker 2: can write stories whatever season it is. This is what
- 22:07Speaker 2: I'm thinking about. And my thought process was, well, they
- 22:13Speaker 2: would have to start shooting that now if we were
- 22:15Speaker 2: gonna get like six in summer and six in during
- 22:17Speaker 2: the countin the Christmas can they do that? Yeah, please
- 22:21Speaker 2: make it happen. Let's wrap on this week's Listener mail bag.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Keep your feedback emails coming. You can send them to
- 22:27Speaker 2: Girls Gone Hallmark at gmail dot com. You can also
- 22:32Speaker 2: use our Sadly Lonely voicemail. You can call us nine
- 22:36Speaker 2: four nine three two nine eight zero nine zero and
- 22:39Speaker 2: leave us a message. No one will ever answer that
- 22:41Speaker 2: phone number. Just leave a message and let us know
- 22:44Speaker 2: your your deep thoughts.
- 22:46Speaker 1: We way back next time with more Hallmark reviews.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Goodbye bye.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Alright friends, before we go, just a quick heads up,
- 23:03Speaker 2: you're about to hear some ads. These little gems help
- 23:06Speaker 2: us keep the show running and the Hallmark love flowing.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So do with that info what you will, Grab a snack,
- 23:12Speaker 2: hit the skip button, or maybe just maybe listen in
- 23:15Speaker 2: and discover your new favorite product.
