- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Israel, we're talking about Israel.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Randall Price says the modern return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel has been called the miracle on the Mediterranean.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Such a return by a people group that had been scattered among the nations is unprecedented in history.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Indeed, the Jewish people are the only exiled people to remain a distinct people despite being dispersed to more than 70 different countries for more than 20 centuries.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome all ravaged their land, took their people captive, and scattered them throughout the earth.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Even after this, they suffered persecution and Holocaust in the lands to which they were exiled.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Yet all of these ancient kingdoms have turned to dust, and their former glories remain only as museum relics, and many of the nations that oppose the Jews have suffered economic, political, or religious decline.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: But the Jewish people whom they enslaved and tried to eradicate live free and have again become a strong nation.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Only God could do that.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So let's look at how Israel became a nation briefly.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: First, the modern day return to the Holy Land began as early as 1871 when a few Jews began to trickle back into the land.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: By 1881, about 30,000 Jews who had been persecuted in Russia moved to Palestine.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: In 1897, at the first Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, the Jewish people officially adopted Zionism with the goal of reclaiming the land.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: In 1914, the Jewish population in the land was only 80,000.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: During World War I, the British sought support from the Jews for the war effort, so the British Foreign Secretary Arthur J.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Balfour issued what has become known as the Balfour Declaration on November 2nd, 1917.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: The declaration was stated in a letter from Balfour to Lord Rothschild, who was a wealthy Jewish entrepreneur.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: In the letter, Secretary Balfour gave approval to the Jewish goal of reclamation.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: His Majesty's government views with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: That declaration stirred Jewish hopes for establishing a homeland in the Holy Land and encouraged more Jews to return.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: In 1939, when World War II broke out, about 450,000 Jews had returned.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Hitler's extermination of 6 million Jews actually provided the greatest momentum for the establishment of a national homeland for the Jews.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: The United Nations approved Israel's existence as a sovereign nation, ending British control of the land on May 14, 1948.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: The new nation was given 5,000 square miles and had a population of 650,000 Jews and several hundred thousand Arabs.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: In 2009, for the first time since 135 AD, there were more Jews in Israel than in any other place on earth.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: 5.4 million Jews now live in Israel compared to 5.2 in the United States.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: By the year of 2030, it is estimated that half of the Jews worldwide will live in the land.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: That is how the history books record and explain how Israel came to be a nation.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: But we know that it was all by God's design and that God orchestrated all of it.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Now, I am of the opinion, and this is my opinion, that Zionism is not the true Israel.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And I believe that there's a very strong possibility that the Zionist movement was at the least hijacked and probably instigated by people who were ungodly and who didn't really have an interest in the Jewish people.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: And they took advantage of the situation to establish what they wanted apart from what God wanted for the people.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: The Rothschilds, the Rockefellers, and all the others like them worked to establish a nation of Israel to benefit themselves financially.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: That's my opinion.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: So let me just say that's my opinion.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: If that is true, if that is true, then Satan has probably seen that as a great victory over God's people in trying to, in in having victory over them because he has always wanted to usurp control over them at the very least, and at the very most, he he wants to totally annihilate all of them.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And so those Jews that Hitler exterminated in his death camps were probably the true remnant of Israel.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: And the reason I say that is because those are the ones that had been exiled during the exile, had been carried off to Assyria, carried off to all of these different nations and left there.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: The majority of the population of Israel and Judah, Israel the northern kingdom, Judah, the southern kingdom, were carried into exile when the exile happened.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Those people were assimilated into the cultures of those foreign countries where they were carried off to.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And they did not return.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: There was a very small group of Jewish people that returned back to Jerusalem and Israel.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: They were assimilated into those cultures, and it's these people that Hitler sent to the death camps and tried to exterminate.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Satan has always wanted to completely destroy the Jews.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: But God allowed the nation of Israel to be established in this way.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: He did.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: He allowed it.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: It happened.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: That's how it happened, right?
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Even though it was probably done in unbelief, and he allowed it because it aligns with his end time agenda for the nation of Israel and for all of us.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Again, this is my opinion and how I've kind of figured this out.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: But it's my opinion that the leadership of many nations, not just Israel, many nations, have been hijacked by ungodly, wicked people who have an evil agenda, and it's now being seen through globalism.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: It's been done behind the scenes by shadow governments until now, until recently, and now they are no longer hiding their agenda or what they are doing.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: That's why we're seeing this more clearly than we ever have before.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: God is allowing us to see it, and for some reason they are doing that.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Remember that this is the kingdom of Satan, right?
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: This kingdom, this world is the kingdom of Satan, and he has been given power over the nations.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: That was what he offered Jesus in Luke 4, 5 through 6.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And he said to him, I will give you all their authority and splendor.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: It has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: It's crazy that we would think that Satan has not taken advantage of that authority throughout all of time, throughout all of the nations.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Of course, he has manipulated peoples and nations and governments for all of time.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: He has.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: We know that.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: It's only the godly that have held him at bay, and it's only been us believers in the church age with the working with the power of the Holy Spirit that has kept his wicked evil agenda in check.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: So, yes, I believe that Satan took advantage of the establishment of Israel.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: But what Satan meant for evil, God intended for good.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: God's covenant with his people, Israel, was included the land.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: The land.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Satan knew that.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Satan knows all of this.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: That land is God's, and he gave it to them.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: He gave it to Israel.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: And I believe that Satan has manipulated the leadership in the land for his purposes, but it is still God's land.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: And they are still God's chosen people.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: And he is still going to work through all of that to bring about his agenda for the end times.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: I know that what I've just shared is what many truthers, if you listen to any truthers, that's what they are saying, and obviously I've listened to them, but there seems to be a great deal of credence, and it just makes a whole lot of sense to me.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: I struggled with how to verbalize this and to reconcile this, you know.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: We have two agendas going on.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: We have the agenda of God for Israel, and we have the agenda of Satan for Israel.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Israel is the kingpin.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: And why is that?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Because God established a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and it's binding for all time.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And because Messiah came through the Jews, the true people of Israel are God's people.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: It would stand to reason that there's also a fake Israel.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: If there's a true Israel, then there's a fake Israel who are Satan's people.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: That's how he works.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: There are true prophets and there are false prophets.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: There's a true spirit and there are false spirits.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And and we could go on and on with that, with that, those, those, whatever that is.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Whatever the true agenda is, Satan has a fake agenda in place to counter it.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: We know he does that.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: And I hope that that makes sense.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to jump on every bandwagon that the truther community puts out there, but this one makes sense to me.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Israel has been used by evil men.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: I really believe that.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And they have those evil men have assumed that they have gotten away with it.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And to some degree they have for about a hundred years now, if not more.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Well, probably more.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: But at some point, God is going to pull the rug out from underneath them and they are going to come crashing down.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Their wickedness will and perhaps is being exposed.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Again, I hope so.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: I pray so.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: And again, what Satan meant for evil, God intends for good, just like he always has.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: So what do we, what do the Jewish people anticipate for the future?
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: We know that they are still anticipating the Messiah, right?
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: That's what they are looking for.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: They look for him to come as a king or as a ruler.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: They missed him the first time because they were looking for a king and a kingdom.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: They weren't looking for a baby who was God in the flesh.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: And so they did miss him.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: So they anticipate the Messiah, but they also are anticipating something else tied in with that.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: The Jews have been taught from Scripture and from their rabbis that a seven-year time of distress will immediately precede the Messiah's coming to rule the world.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: We see that in the Babylonian Talmud.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: Our rabbis taught in the seven-year cycle that at the conclusion of the seven years the Son of David will come.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: In the Messianic text, the idea became entrenched that the coming of Messiah will be preceded by greatly increased suffering.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: This will last seven years, and then unexpectedly, the Messiah will come.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: In the burrows of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it says a prominent feature of Jewish eschatology, as represented, especially in the rabbinic literature, was the time of trouble preceding Messiah's coming.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: It was called the birth pangs of the Messiah, sometimes more briefly translated as the messianic woes.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: It can also be called the time of Jacob's trouble, which comes from Jeremiah 30, verse 7.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: How awful that day will be, no one will no other will be like it.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: In that day, declares the Lord Almighty, I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: No longer will foreigners enslave them.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Instead, they will serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: So the context of that chapter of Jeremiah 30 really makes it clear that this is going to be a time of unparalleled distress, like for Israel, that they have never seen before, and that it would break them free from those foreigners who were who were enslaving them.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I find that so interesting.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: In Matthew 24, Jesus called these trials the beginning of birth pains.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: There are other passages that describe this time as well, a lot of other passages in the Old Testament.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: So the Jews have anticipated a time of trouble that would last for seven years, and then Messiah would come.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: And that's exactly what's going to happen.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Next week we will look at Daniel's 70th, the 70th week of Daniel, and I'm going to have information that will help break that down for you.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: 1 Thessalonians 5.3 says, While people are saying peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: That term labor pains is birth pains.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Daniel 8 19, I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: So all of these terms, birth pains, Jacob's trouble, time of wrath, birth pains of the Messiah, the messianic woes, all describe the tribulation.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: So that's what they are anticipating.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: They are anticipating Messiah, they're still looking for him to come, but it's going to be preceded by seven years.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: There are those who believe that the evil, wait, let me see.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: All of this is going according to God's plan.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Satan only thinks he's winning.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: He only thinks he's winning because his hidden influence and agenda has captured so much of the earth and brought them into globalism, communism, secularism, humanism, all the isms.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: All of the isms.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: His plans have been succeeding for a very long time.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: And there are those who believe that the evil is being exposed now.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: That people are heading to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: That our government will perhaps, in a way, fall apart and that the military will step in.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: None of us know.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: None of us know for certain that any of that is true.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Anything at this point is possible.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Anything is possible.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: And if you don't know what I'm referring to, just ignore this part.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Or we could go on and on about it, but I won't.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: This if this evil is not stopped, if something doesn't happen that stops all of this, then I think we're heading right into the tribulation because everything, everything, everything is set up for it.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: If this evil is stopped, then I can only assume that God is giving us more time.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: That's the only explanation I have if it's stopped, is He's giving us more time.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: And it will be time to evangelize and win people to Christ.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: It's hard to say what's going to happen or which way this is all going to shake out.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: We absolutely don't know.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: I have mentioned the book, The Unseen Realm, by Michael Heiser, to you before.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Has anybody in here read that?
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: I'm reading it now.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: It's so fascinating.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, it's so it's so good.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: The Unseen Realm.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: It becomes really clear in that book that at the Tower of Babel, when they when they built the Tower of Babel, when God confused the languages and He He separated them by languages, and then He separated them physically from each other, because He said, if they begun to do this, there's no end of what they'll do.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: That kind of whatever he says there.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: But it becomes clear that he disinherited the nations.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: He disinherited the nations except for Israel.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: He chose Israel, they were going to be his special people, and the rest of them he let go.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: And what he did was those other nations who were not Israel would be in spiritual bondage, basically, to corrupt sons of God.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Meaning that those who who rebelled against Yahweh, God, up in heaven, Satan and his demons and the fallen angels, that those other nations that God let go of would be ruled by them.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: You'd have to read the whole thing to understand that completely.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And even then it's kind of like vague.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: But right on the hills of punishing them at the Tower of Babel, of punishing and disinheriting, he chooses Abraham, who came out of Mesopotamia, the same exact area that the Tower of Babel was, and he chose him out of the midst of that wickedness and that rebellion to be his people.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: That's when that started.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: And he establishes the covenant with Abraham, re-establishes it with Isaac and with Jacob.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: That is where the struggle between Israel and all the other nations begins.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: That's the big the starting point.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Those other nations would become divine rivals rather than servants of Yahweh.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Their line would be corrupt.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: God's line would be holy.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: God would be pitted against their gods, and Israel would be pitted against their nations.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: And I believe that this is also where the godly bloodlines and the and the evil bloodlines come in.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: And actually, it was probably even before this time.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: But in Exodus chapters 7 through 12, we see God come against the wicked disinherited nations of Egypt.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: And there's something really significant that I want us to see in this epic battle between God and the gods of Egypt.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: You know the story.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Moses comes and he says, he gives Pharaoh the word, let my people go, and Pharaoh completely refuses to do it, and the battle starts.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: So what I want us to see tonight is that the very same gods, small g, gods, of Egypt that Moses came against are still messing with people today.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: The first god of Egypt that Moses came against was um was when he turned the Nile River into blood.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: So the first one was blood.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: The Egyptians worshipped the god Osiris.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: Osiris was the god who judged the dead and the underworld.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: They say he was dismembered and then resurrected.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: I think Osiris could be represented today in human trafficking in very dark underground places.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: And it could also represent the abortion industry.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: I also see the name Siri in that, right?
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Just saying.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Next came the frogs, and that is the Egyptian god Hect.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: She was associated with the final stages of childbirth.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: We could see some representation with Hec with the abortion industry as well.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: And what did Pharaoh do to the baby boys when Moses was born?
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: He sacrificed them in the Nile.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: And then the Nats, the Egyptian god Set.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Set is the god of disorder, violence, and lord of the dry desert places.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: Disorder is chaos, right?
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Violence and chaos are what Satan specializes in.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And then the flies.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: That's the Egyptian god Hathor.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: She was a goddess who took on many roles pertaining to music, dance, sexuality, and beauty.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: We can see a collation between the arts and pornography and the god Hathor, not to mention the word whore.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: And then the livestock.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: The Egyptian god Typhon.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: This god had 100 heads of serpents, and each head of the snake made a babble of screaming sounds.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: What?
- 22:44unknown: You're in the livestock.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm in livestock?
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: You need to be in livestock.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: I need to be in livestock.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Back up.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Livestock.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: The Egyptian god Apis was a sacred bull, and the symbol on Wall Street is a bull.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: I think Apis could represent the corrupt banking systems of the world.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Now the boils.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: The Egyptian god Typhon.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: This god had 100 heads of serpents, and each head of the snake made a babble of screaming sounds, which spat out showers of poison from his throat.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: This could represent technology, news, media, which has so many talking poisonous heads.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: And then the hail is the Egyptian god Shu.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: She was depicted as the dry air atmosphere between the earth and sky separating the two realms.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: And we could see a collation with climate change.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Then the locusts is the god Serapis.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: This god symbolized abundance and success.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: And the darkness was the Egyptian god Ra.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: He was the god of the sun, order, kings, and the sky.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Ra was one of the most worshipped of all Egyptian gods.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: Think political power here.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: And how interesting that God blocked the sun and brought darkness over the whole land of Egypt to block out the god who represented the sun.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: As I researched these when I was teaching Quran this past year, and I researched these, I was absolutely blown away.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Absolutely blown away and astounded.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: It's amazing how they correspond with the issues of our day.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: Human trafficking in dark places, abortion industry, violence, entertainment, pornography, banking, finance, technology, climate change, success and affluence culture, and politics and power.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, seriously, do we need any more evidence to see that the same gods who messed with Egypt and all the ancient peoples are still messing with us?
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: No, we don't.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: There's nothing new under the sun.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: And Satan has had his way with the nations and the world throughout human history.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: I think this is evidence that he has.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: God disinherited the nations except Israel, but he was not going to leave them disinherited.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: He himself would remedy that situation.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: The coming of Jesus was the beginning of God's plan to reclaim all of those nations.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: But the domain of darkness was not going to give up the fight and its its hold on them without a fight.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' wilderness temptation at the hands of Satan, he was offered the nations.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: We've already seen that.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: But these are the nations that God disinherited at the Tower of Babel.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Satan's offering him all the nations.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: I have power over all of these nations.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: I will give you all their authority and splendor.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: It's been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: In the unseen realm, Heiser says, had Jesus given in, it would have been an acknowledgement that Satan's permission was needed to possess the nations.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: It wasn't.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: Satan presumed power and ownership of something that ultimately was not his, but God's.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Later on in Jesus' ministry, he sent some disciples out on a mission.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: And in Luke 10, 17, the 72 returned with joy and said, Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: Then Jesus says this to them I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: The implications are really clear here.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: Jesus' presence here on earth was the end of Satan's mission to deceive the nations and to take them captive.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: A great reversal was underway and was just about to begin.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: He was on the verge of reclaiming all of those nations that had been disinherited by God.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: And that's what the Great Commission was all about.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Go into all the world and preach the gospel.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: How was he going to do that?
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Through his son Jesus, right?
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: But in order to do that, he had to do something else first.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: So track with me here, okay?
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: Israel rejected Jesus when he came.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: They didn't see him for who he was as the Messiah.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: They should have.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: They should have recognized the signs, the signs that he was going to come and who he was going to be.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: But they didn't.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: They should have especially seen it when he died on the cross.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: Because this is how closely he met one of their most profound prophetic passages from the Old Testament, Psalm 22.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Listen to this.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: This is what it says.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Verse 7 All who see me mock me, they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: He trusts in the Lord, they say, Let the Lord rescue him.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: I am poured out like water, all my bones are out of joint.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: My heart has turned to wax and has melted within me.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: My mouth is dried up like a pot shard.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: You lay me in the dust of death.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: They pierce my hands and my feet.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: All my bones are on display.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: People stare and gloat over me.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: This is just one of hundreds of prophetic signs that the Jews should have understood.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Especially as they stood there watching him be crucified.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: But then it was too late for them, right?
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: But this too was by God's design.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: And that's the only way to see it.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: This was by God's design.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Because the Jewish people experienced a hardening or a blinding from God.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: That's what they experienced.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: They couldn't see and they couldn't recognize Jesus as the Messiah because he hid it from them.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: This hardening was a special kind of hardening where it was kind of like a callus over their hearts, and they couldn't, they couldn't, they didn't have the sensitivity to God.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: The Apostle Paul addresses this in Romans chapter 1.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: He starts that chapter by asking a question.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: He says, I asked then, did God reject his people?
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: And he answers, By no means.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Then what happened?
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Why did they not see?
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Then he says, God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see, and ears that could not hear to this very day.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Then he asks another question.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: Again, I ask, did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery?
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: His answer, no, not at all.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Then what was the purpose of this hardening?
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: Because of their transgressions, because of their blindness, salvation came to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: You see, Israel's unbelief brought about the hardening for the purpose of redeeming all of the disinherited nations that God had let go at the Tower of Babel.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: The Gentiles.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: So let's remember at this point what the word mystery in Scripture means.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: It means a truth not previously known, revealed for the first time, or a truth revealed for the first time.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Paul is getting ready to explain this mystery behind Israel's hardening.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: He says, I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: He's talking to Christians, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of Gentiles has come in.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And in this way all Israel will be saved.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: As it is written, the deliverer will come from Zion.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: He will turn godlessness away from Jacob, Israel.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake, for our sake.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: But as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: For God's gifts and his calls are irrevocable.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: So the Jews are still loved by God and chosen by him, and that is irrevocable.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: He hasn't given up on them because he made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: And it's binding for all time, and he's going to keep it.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: But and that was true 2,000 years ago when Paul made this statement, and it is still true today.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Then he says something really important here.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: Just as you, who were at one time disobedient to God, have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: So the disinherited nations rebelled against God.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: They were disobedient.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: But because of Jesus, they are now receiving mercy and grace through Jesus Christ.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: That's what we have received, mercy and grace.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Verse 31 basically says, Israel is now the disobedient ones that he has set aside, like he did the disinherited ones.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: He has set them aside now.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: And at some point they're going to have to receive mercy and grace just like we have through Jesus Christ, through Messiah.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: This whole church age has been a timeout for Israel.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: It's a timeout.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: It's as if God was on the phone with Israel all through the Old Testament and He's talking and talking, talking to them.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: And then Jesus comes and he puts them on hold.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: And then the church age is on, and he's talking and he's working through the church age.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: At the rapture of the church, when the church is gone, he will push the hold button and Israel will be back on with him.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: And that is who he will work through.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: And they will receive mercy and grace through Jesus Christ, just like we have.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: When it says all Israel will be saved, it means that all that Israel as a whole, just as he set all of Israel aside, he's going to bring them back on.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: When the full number of Gentiles has come in, boy, how I hope that day comes soon.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: Bring it.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: And then he will bring his beloved Israel to a new spiritual place that they have never been before with him.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: In the unseen realm, it says, Yahweh's original intention was that all humankind would be his earthly family ruling in cooperation with him and his heavenly family, but the original objective was not defeated, only delayed.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: After the rebellion of Babel, Yahweh set aside the nations and called Abraham to begin anew.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: God said that through Abraham, all nations on earth would be blessed.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: The focal point of that blessing was to be the ultimate son of Abraham, the Messiah.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: After his resurrection, the Spirit promised by Jesus and by the prophets came at Pentecost and began the great reversal.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: The gospel was carried to all the nations of the known world, transforming men and women held hostage to other gods into sons and daughters of Yahweh.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: That is what has happened for the past 2,000 years.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: Person by person, church by church, nation by nation, the kingdom of God has been advancing and taking back the land that the enemy has had, has gained.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: We've been in a spiritual battle with God and his angels against Satan through the church age.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: That's what we're doing right now.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: And it's an epic battle.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Once the church is taken out of the way, the nation of Israel will be where the enemy focuses his fight.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: Satan couldn't stop Israel.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: He couldn't stop their prophets.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: He couldn't stop their kings.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: He couldn't stop Messiah from coming the first time.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: But for some crazy reason, I think he thinks he can stop the second coming.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: And the seven-year tribulation will be his last-ditch effort to do that.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: And he will not succeed.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: In the unseen realm again, Jesus is gone at present, just as Yahweh was in heaven, invisible yet on earth in human form.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: The seed of Abraham, scattered to the winds in exile, turn out to function like spiritual cell groups secretly planted in every nation under the dominion of the hostile gods.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: The kingdom spread slowly but relentlessly, one new believer at a time.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Every church, a new pocket of resistance, every baptism, another pledge of allegiance to the Most High, every celebration of the Lord's Supper, denial of fellowship with lesser masters, and a proclamation of the success of Yahweh's mysterious plan.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: The lines are drawn, the stakes are high, the enemy is desperate, the fullness of the Gentiles will come.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: All Israel will be saved, and the deliverer will come from the heavenly Zion.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: It's just a matter of time.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: Oh Lord, how we long for that.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: How we just pray that we get to see that in our lifetime.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: But if not, Lord, you are tarrying for a reason.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: We pray, Father God, that you would in this epic battle that we are all involved on, in, that you would give us exactly what we need to fight this fight and to do it well for your sake and your glory.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: Give us opportunities to tell other people and to warn them and to help them understand so that they might come to salvation in you.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: And then, Lord, collectively, together, we just cry out to you to come, Lord Jesus, come and take your church home.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: Come and take us.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Amen.
