  Speaker 1: It's welcome everybody.
• 0:17
Speaker 2: Welcome to this week's edition is Still Real Does Show
• 0:21
Speaker 2: Episode number seven and sixty nine for November.
• 0:23
Speaker 3: Seventh, two thousand thirty four. Welcome to your we Crown
• 0:27
Speaker 3: Jewels Greecap n Review Edition. Huff ash R Team the Year.
• 0:32
Speaker 3: I am one half the show. I Am under the
• 0:34
Speaker 3: Weather of Jackie Beckett. Joined every single week when I, oh,
• 0:38
Speaker 3: it's the early Doctor Trey Franklin, Doctor Trey, my voice
• 0:41
Speaker 3: is pushing through my friend.
• 0:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, I knows that. On the intro there, like it
• 0:46
Speaker 4: kind of sounded like your voice cracked, like you're hitting puberty.
• 0:49
Speaker 4: But at least I knew what was going on because
• 0:52
Speaker 4: I was, you know, for an untrained listener. They're like, wait,
• 0:54
Speaker 4: I thought he had a kid. How was he hitting puberty? Now?
• 0:57
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah it happened, folks did. Sometimes it takes a
• 1:00
Speaker 3: long time, but here we are. Yeah, I'm I'm battling
• 1:03
Speaker 3: allergy season, my friend, Yeah.
• 1:06
Speaker 4: I so this is I usually get sick twice a year.
• 1:10
Speaker 4: I usually get sick basically when winter turns the spring
• 1:14
Speaker 4: and when summer turns the fall. But I didn't get
• 1:18
Speaker 4: it in September this year, Like I know, ma it
• 1:20
Speaker 4: I got it yesterday, so I was fever of one
• 1:23
Speaker 4: hundred and one point four in the bathroom the entire day.
• 1:28
Speaker 4: But today I feel fine. I feel refreshed. Maybe it's
• 1:32
Speaker 4: because I actually slept, but I know you, every time
• 1:36
Speaker 4: the season has changed, you have your allergy battles. So
• 1:40
Speaker 4: when I heard you call me this morning, I was like, Oh, yeah,
• 1:42
Speaker 4: that's that's that time of year for Jeff.
• 1:44
  Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's been a wild run.
• 1:46
Speaker 2: There may be times where I have to like step
• 1:48
Speaker 2: off here, I have a drink of water, but it
• 1:52
Speaker 2: it's it's been like last week, it was in the
• 1:55
Speaker 2: forties and fifties. The last couple of days, I feel
• 1:57
Speaker 2: like I'm in Alabama, doctor try it's been in the seventies.
• 2:01
Speaker 2: So it's doing an absolute number on me. The leaves
• 2:05
Speaker 2: are being blown around, so there's mold and pollen and
• 2:08
Speaker 2: all that other crap all over the place. I literally
• 2:11
Speaker 2: did not have a voice two days, the last two days.
• 2:15
Speaker 2: So the fact that I'm even at this point is
• 2:18
Speaker 2: pretty phenomenal. And if we were still in regular radio,
• 2:22
Speaker 2: the program directors would tell us to like go home,
• 2:24
Speaker 2: or at least tell me to go home and just
• 2:26
Speaker 2: call it a show. Because it's like very annoying to
• 2:29
Speaker 2: listen to. I'm hopeful that this is a little bit
• 2:32
Speaker 2: more like ASMR for some people.
• 2:36
Speaker 4: Well, still, I think you sound better than most of
• 2:38
Speaker 4: the radio guys I listened to, even when you're sick,
• 2:41
Speaker 4: as I've told you, for damn, you're fifteen years that
• 2:46
Speaker 4: when people that, like when friends of mine and family
• 2:49
Speaker 4: of mine have listened to the show, they always go, well, Trey,
• 2:53
Speaker 4: you sound great, but that other guy, he sounds like
• 2:55
Speaker 4: a professional radio guy. So I always say, like Jeff,
• 3:00
Speaker 4: even at fifty percent, still sounds better than half the
• 3:03
Speaker 4: people you hear on the radio.
• 3:04
Speaker 2: Anyway, I appreciate that at one time I was, I
• 3:08
Speaker 2: am no more. Now it's just simply a podcaster, which is.
• 3:10
Speaker 3: Basically taken over radio nowadays. So that's pretty cool to see.
• 3:14
Speaker 3: But nonetheless, let's get into it.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Thank you everybody for downloading, Thank you for joining us
• 3:18
Speaker 2: on this week's tition of SR T You We are
• 3:19
Speaker 2: gutting it through here for all of you. Let's recap
• 3:24
Speaker 2: and review w WE Crown Jewel Doctor Trey took place
• 3:26
Speaker 2: this past Saturday for the Muhammad Aba Arena and Riod
• 3:29
  Speaker 2: Saudi Arabia.
• 3:30
Speaker 3: The first match on the card here was.
• 3:32
Speaker 2: The Bloodline defeating Roman Rains, Jimmy Uso and jay Uso
• 3:35
Speaker 2: in a six man tag team match that is very
• 3:37
Speaker 2: weird to say out loud, like, the Bloodline defeats Roman Rains,
• 3:40
Speaker 2: Jimmy Uso and jay Uso. I had the Bloodline, Doctor
• 3:43
Speaker 2: Trey at Rains us and the Usos. Rain's taking the
• 3:47
Speaker 2: clean pin is a pretty big deal as it appears
• 3:49
Speaker 2: they are humbling Roman and storyline.
• 3:51
  Speaker 3: The album changes.
• 3:51
Speaker 2: Ways and it's correlating well in the early going. This
• 3:55
Speaker 2: was a well booked match that made a lot of
• 3:57
Speaker 2: sense for the story moving forward. Sammy's ain't coming out
• 3:59
Speaker 2: to make the same get involved and inadvertently take out
• 4:02
Speaker 2: Roman Reigns when they were going for Solo was a
• 4:04
Speaker 2: really nice touch to get that storyline going into War Games.
• 4:07
Speaker 3: Awesome work all around, Doctor Trey. I really enjoyed this one.
• 4:10
Speaker 2: Your thoughts as Solo's Bloodline defeated Roman Reigns his blood Line, Yeah.
• 4:15
Speaker 4: I thought it was a really well done six man
• 4:17
Speaker 4: tag because you know, you and I have talked about
• 4:19
Speaker 4: for years, sometimes once you get six men in up
• 4:22
Speaker 4: in a match, or women for that matter, things can
• 4:26
Speaker 4: get a little out of swords, a little chaotic, one
• 4:28
Speaker 4: person forgets what they're doing, and the whole match is
• 4:30
Speaker 4: blown up. This was really well done, really well put
• 4:32
Speaker 4: together storyline wise, made sense. So a really solid match
• 4:37
Speaker 4: for a Crown jewel.
• 4:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, and what's really cool about this is that we've
• 4:41
Speaker 2: put this storyline during the microscope the last several weeks
• 4:44
Speaker 2: on the podcast. To me, doctor Trey and this will
• 4:47
Speaker 2: be interested in your thoughts. I think it's starting to
• 4:50
Speaker 2: make sense right now. I like where it's going. It's
• 4:52
Speaker 2: making sense by humbling Roman a little bit.
• 4:56
Speaker 4: Yeah. I until this match, I hadn't really thought about
• 4:59
Speaker 4: that angle. But it's one thing that we've talked on
• 5:01
Speaker 4: the show that if you're gonna be a babyface, you
• 5:03
Speaker 4: got to have obstacles and things you have to overcome
• 5:06
Speaker 4: for the fans to get you sympathy. Having Roman take
• 5:09
Speaker 4: the pin is humbling. Now, it's another obstacle for to overcome.
• 5:14
Speaker 4: At one point, we felt like they were kind of
• 5:15
Speaker 4: shotgunning the storyline a little bit because you're getting Jay
• 5:19
Speaker 4: to come back in and he's just like, you know,
• 5:22
Speaker 4: at first, it seemed like he was just, you know,
• 5:24
Speaker 4: everything was all well and taken care of and then
• 5:26
Speaker 4: now you see why he's doing it. This stuff with Sammy,
• 5:30
Speaker 4: it makes sense that they're they're starting the angle, and
• 5:33
Speaker 4: instead of just not explaining why these guys are doing
• 5:36
Speaker 4: what they're doing, you're actually having some layers of depth
• 5:40
Speaker 4: in the storytelling as to, yeah, I'm helping you, but look,
• 5:44
  Speaker 4: I don't trust you, I don't buy into you. You
• 5:46
Speaker 4: saw that a little bit of Crown Jewel, a little
• 5:48
Speaker 4: bit the back and forth with Jay and Roman a
• 5:50
Speaker 4: little bit, so there's still that element of I don't
• 5:53
Speaker 4: trust who you are now because I saw who you
• 5:56
Speaker 4: were the last four years. So really good storytelling, a
• 5:59
Speaker 4: little bit of the humbling thing. I think they're they've
• 6:02
Speaker 4: got the direction going now, they're just adding the depth
• 6:04
Speaker 4: to make make the story make more sense.
• 6:07
Speaker 3: The addition of Sammy's ain, doctor Trey.
• 6:09
Speaker 2: Your thoughts on how that has gone through with Crown Jewel,
• 6:12
Speaker 2: the follow up they did on Raw. It's all setting
• 6:14
Speaker 2: up for a big segment on Friday SmackDown where Sammy's
• 6:17
Speaker 2: am will be talking with the OTC himself.
• 6:19
Speaker 4: Roman reigns, Yeah, no, it made sense when we first
• 6:23
Speaker 4: saw the initial Sammy, Jay and Jimmy interactions. You're like
• 6:28
Speaker 4: how can Sammy. Sammy's the one that you know, kind
• 6:31
Speaker 4: of was the turning point in the disillusion of you know,
• 6:34
Speaker 4: og bloodline if you want to call it that, and
• 6:37
Speaker 4: to have them come back into it. The way they're
• 6:39
Speaker 4: setting it up makes a lot of sense. I was
• 6:41
Speaker 4: actually hoping for like a what they call before the
• 6:44
Speaker 4: tribal the tribal roundtable, the tribal.
• 6:47
  Speaker 3: The court thing.
• 6:49
  Speaker 4: Yes, tribal court.
• 6:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, that thing went on for like fifty minutes. What
• 6:52
Speaker 2: was an amazing segment.
• 6:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, I was kind of hoping for, uh SmackDown, to
• 6:56
Speaker 4: have tribal court with Roman on trial this time and
• 7:00
Speaker 4: him trying to basically, you know, explain you know, his actions,
• 7:05
Speaker 4: his thoughts and everything else. The segment on Raw was
• 7:09
Speaker 4: great with Jimmy, Jay and Sammy, So I'm hoping we
• 7:13
Speaker 4: get another great segment when you throw Roman into the
• 7:15
Speaker 4: mix and maybe we give one big giant hugging it
• 7:18
Speaker 4: out or something. I don't know, but the way they're
• 7:22
Speaker 4: putting there, the way they're putting it together, makes more
• 7:25
Speaker 4: sense than the old school ways of oh no we're fine, No, no,
• 7:29
Speaker 4: you guys were just trying to kill each other, like
• 7:30
Speaker 4: not too long ago, no, no, We're good now. Yeah, yeah,
• 7:34
Speaker 4: at least now we're seeing some realistic mindsets when these
• 7:38
Speaker 4: storylines are going on.
• 7:40
Speaker 3: Or just like randomly changing a team name from.
• 7:43
Speaker 2: A Stable to Blackpool Combat Club to Death Writers without
• 7:46
  Speaker 2: any explanation.
• 7:48
Speaker 3: I don't know how this will correlate on.
• 7:50
Speaker 2: The podcast, but Sammy posts it on his Instagram, the
• 7:53
Speaker 2: photo of the USOS and Roman as young kids and
• 7:58
Speaker 2: then him thrown in there as a young kid that
• 8:00
Speaker 2: was out there their own like white T shirts. It's
• 8:02
Speaker 2: a very classic photo, and he wrote as the caption,
• 8:06
Speaker 2: and it just makes me laugh every single time. He wrote,
• 8:09
Speaker 2: I remember the day we took this photo. Well, it
• 8:12
Speaker 2: was a Friday. We went out that night, and I
• 8:14
Speaker 2: remember it clearly because we were listening to DMX on
• 8:17
Speaker 2: the way to the club and it was the first
• 8:19
Speaker 2: time I edited I'd ever heard someone say that a
• 8:22
Speaker 2: song was quote tight. Great times, but sadly those days
• 8:26
Speaker 2: are gone. Stamy having a little bit of fun with it,
• 8:29
Speaker 2: but that was that just cracked me up. Loved the
• 8:32
Speaker 2: opening to the show. I've loved the follow up here
• 8:35
Speaker 2: and once again captivated by everything that the Bloodline does
• 8:38
Speaker 2: and their storyline overall. Next Match here is Jade card Gill,
• 8:42
Speaker 2: Bianca bell Air defeating Damage Control, Metaphor and Chelsea Green
• 8:45
Speaker 2: and Piper Niven in a fatal four way match, retaining
• 8:48
Speaker 2: the WA Women's Tag Team Championship.
• 8:50
Speaker 3: Both Doctor and I had Jade and Bianca.
• 8:52
Speaker 2: I feel like we are starting here and see some
• 8:54
Speaker 2: foreshadowing on eventual split with bell Air and Cargill as
• 8:57
Speaker 2: Corey Graves mentioned their separate entrances heading into this match.
• 9:00
Speaker 2: As for the match itself, I thought it was really
• 9:02
Speaker 2: good as specifically the Metaphor girls held their own coming
• 9:06
Speaker 2: up from NXT. There was some fall to follow up
• 9:08
Speaker 2: to that on Mundane regards to bel airin Cargill starting
• 9:11
Speaker 2: to see some foreshadowing going on as Live Morgan said
• 9:14
Speaker 2: that it's only a matter of time before they turn
• 9:16
Speaker 2: on one another. So it seems like we're starting to
• 9:19
Speaker 2: get ramped up here, Doctor Trey, little pieces bread clumbs
• 9:22
Speaker 2: are being put all over the place that a Bianco
• 9:24
Speaker 2: Jade split is probably incoming, which I'm digging your thoughts
• 9:28
Speaker 2: on this match from Crown Jewel.
• 9:31
Speaker 4: Pleasantly surprised, how's that one? Because I really didn't have
• 9:35
Speaker 4: high expert like look Damage controlling the match They're fantastic.
• 9:38
Speaker 4: I can watch Damage Control pretty much wrestle anytime, especially
• 9:44
Speaker 4: Eo Skuy metaphor stepping up into that role and doing
• 9:48
Speaker 4: a really good job. I was surprised because I'm not
• 9:51
Speaker 4: the biggest you know, Lash legend fan. You know, the
• 9:55
Speaker 4: whole thing wasn't huge, but they did really well. And
• 9:58
Speaker 4: then you know beyonc and they can have a great match,
• 10:01
Speaker 4: and then they can have an awful match. It just
• 10:02
Speaker 4: kind of goes back and forth. You never know what
• 10:04
Speaker 4: you're gonna get. This match was actually pretty well done.
• 10:07
Speaker 4: I love the tension building between Beyonce and Jade. I
• 10:10
Speaker 4: love how they followed it up, not only Corey commenting
• 10:12
Speaker 4: on it, you know at Crown Jewel, but then Live
• 10:15
Speaker 4: you know, bring it up again on Raw. This to
• 10:18
Speaker 4: me is just like, yeah, I fully expect them to
• 10:20
Speaker 4: break up at Rumble to lead to a WrestleMania match.
• 10:23
Speaker 4: So the tensions there, we just got to build up
• 10:26
Speaker 4: a couple of these are tag teams, so that way
• 10:28
Speaker 4: we feel like they're actually on par with Beyonce and Jay.
• 10:32
Speaker 4: So when that split happens, the women's tag division doesn't
• 10:35
  Speaker 4: fall apart.
• 10:37
Speaker 2: Next match, here is Seth freaking Ronalds defeeding Bronson reed.
• 10:40
Speaker 2: We both had Seth rawals to win this one. Something
• 10:42
Speaker 2: I noticed at the beginning of this match was I
• 10:45
Speaker 2: wonder if they are quietly trying to slowly drop Freaking
• 10:48
Speaker 2: from Seth Roald's name.
• 10:50
Speaker 3: Was it on? It was not on the Titan tron
• 10:52
Speaker 3: Is Graphics at Seth Rons.
• 10:54
Speaker 2: I'm like, are they trying to do that? I could
• 10:56
Speaker 2: see freaky is more of a Vince Picman thing than
• 10:58
Speaker 2: a Triple H thing. On all honesty as well well
• 11:01
Speaker 2: as I only heard the ring announcer mention it, and
• 11:02
Speaker 2: the announceers graphics just referred to him as Seth Rollins,
• 11:05
Speaker 2: and I lost. I thought Bronson Reid looked really good,
• 11:07
Speaker 2: which is what we needed in this match, and they
• 11:09
Speaker 2: should follow that up with an eventual win against Ronalds
• 11:11
Speaker 2: help elevate Reid as Bronson's anger got the best of
• 11:15
Speaker 2: him in Rewalds capitalized in this one. Ronald saying you
• 11:18
Speaker 2: should have finished me when you had the chance was
• 11:19
Speaker 2: a really good touch. Plus Reid standing up post match
• 11:22
Speaker 2: was a cool moment. I thought this was Reid's best
• 11:24
Speaker 2: WWE match. They followed up on Raw where he got
• 11:27
Speaker 2: involved in the fatal four way number one contenders match
• 11:30
Speaker 2: for the World Away Championship. He takes out Seth Rollins.
• 11:32
Speaker 2: He looks like a monster, he looks like a beast.
• 11:34
Speaker 2: He takes out Damien, he takes out Seamus, you know,
• 11:36
Speaker 2: the Alps, dirty Dom and get the victory.
• 11:39
Speaker 3: I'm a fan of Bronson Reid. If it wasn't Seth
• 11:41
Speaker 3: Rowinds in this match, and this is what we said
• 11:43
Speaker 3: going into this one. If it wasn't Seth Ronalds going
• 11:45
Speaker 3: in this match, I'm like, you got to put Bronson
• 11:46
Speaker 3: Reid over. But because of the year that Seth Rollins
• 11:48
  Speaker 3: has had.
• 11:49
Speaker 2: Where he's been in and out injured on TV for
• 11:52
Speaker 2: a little bit, off TV for a little bit, it's
• 11:54
Speaker 2: like Seth needs a win. And the way they booked
• 11:56
Speaker 2: this match to me, with all those different variables in place,
• 11:59
Speaker 2: was perfect because everybody came out of this one looking
• 12:02
  Speaker 2: pretty good.
• 12:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's your ultimate goal when you have a
• 12:05
Speaker 4: babyface beat your monster, you want your monsters still looks
• 12:08
Speaker 4: strong and not just completely discounted and toss aside. So
• 12:13
Speaker 4: I thought this made this made a lot of sense.
• 12:15
Speaker 4: Seth gets to win and he it wasn't like, you know,
• 12:18
Speaker 4: It was kind of like a flukey win in a sense,
• 12:20
Speaker 4: like because Bronton had control of it, so Seth gust
• 12:22
Speaker 4: to win. Bronton is like a monster my hope coming
• 12:25
Speaker 4: out of Monday Night. I after seen that, I was like, man,
• 12:27
Speaker 4: would it be great to see Bronton Reid end up
• 12:29
Speaker 4: in the Judgment Day because they need a muscle guy
• 12:32
Speaker 4: to kind of back up all the little guys in
• 12:35
Speaker 4: Judgment Day. If you end up trading out Carlito for
• 12:38
Speaker 4: Bronton Reid, I'm on board with as well, and then
• 12:41
Speaker 4: that can do. You can basically kind of run the
• 12:42
Speaker 4: same angle you ran with Damien where at some point
• 12:45
Speaker 4: he gets super over and the little guys kicking out
• 12:47
Speaker 4: of the group. So I just I really enjoyed it
• 12:50
Speaker 4: because it led to some you know things that you go, hey,
• 12:53
Speaker 4: they could go this route and that'd be cool. And
• 12:55
Speaker 4: if not, hey, Bronton Restill looks like a badass, which
• 12:58
Speaker 4: is what you want to have.
• 13:00
Speaker 2: Next match on this one was Live Morgan, the Women's
• 13:02
Speaker 2: World Champion, defeating Naia Jacks at w Women's Champion to
• 13:05
Speaker 2: win the WI Women's Crowndule Championship.
• 13:07
Speaker 3: I had lived out trade Naya Jacks I.
• 13:10
Speaker 2: Am most injured about the follow up to this all
• 13:13
Speaker 2: post matches, I'm not sure where Live Morgan goes from
• 13:15
Speaker 2: here with Ri on the Shelf.
• 13:16
Speaker 3: We'll talk about that later on the show.
• 13:18
Speaker 2: The way this match went led me to believe that
• 13:20
Speaker 2: Nai and Live or not done, but I can't see
• 13:22
Speaker 2: direction yet where that would continue being on opposite brands.
• 13:25
Speaker 3: They did not follow up on Raw on Monday Night.
• 13:27
Speaker 2: I like the Tiffany's trying to starting to rebel a
• 13:29
Speaker 2: little bit against Naijacks by threatening to tempting to cash
• 13:32
Speaker 2: in on her. Your thoughts on this one, Doctor Treys
• 13:34
Speaker 2: Live Morgan is the ww Women's Crown Duel Champion.
• 13:38
Speaker 4: It was a solid match. I sometimes when you have
• 13:42
Speaker 4: monsters versus cruiserweights, which is basically kind of this, it
• 13:46
Speaker 4: can either go really really bad or really really good.
• 13:49
Speaker 4: Sometimes contrasts and styles make great matches. Sometimes they're just bad.
• 13:54
Speaker 4: This one I really enjoyed. I thought they did a
• 13:57
Speaker 4: well job, like a really good job of selling you know,
• 14:00
Speaker 4: lives deviousness versus Nia's power. I'm still this match that
• 14:06
Speaker 4: was kind of I'm like, I don't really understand this
• 14:08
Speaker 4: whole Crown Jewel Championship thing. Because they don't really get
• 14:13
Speaker 4: the belt. They end up with the ring and the
• 14:15
Speaker 4: belt stays. That is still a little confusing.
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: Uh.
• 14:19
Speaker 4: It just kind of reminds me of basically, this is
• 14:21
Speaker 4: Crown Jewl's not gonna be like in the Super Bowl
• 14:23
Speaker 4: where you get a trophy, uh and not a belt.
• 14:26
Speaker 4: So it is what it is. But it also be
• 14:28
Speaker 4: thinking like, man Live really is the dominant controlling female
• 14:33
Speaker 4: in WWE right now, it's not. I mean, the horse
• 14:36
Speaker 4: women outside of Bailey are basically all gone or on
• 14:39
Speaker 4: the shelf. Rhea's in and out, Like putting Live over
• 14:43
Speaker 4: here kind of shows how much faith they have in
• 14:46
Speaker 4: her as being the focal point of the whole women's roster,
• 14:51
Speaker 4: not just a fill in champion right now.
• 14:54
  Speaker 3: That's true.
• 14:55
Speaker 2: We're about like six eight weeks away from our end
• 14:57
Speaker 2: of the year award show, and without giving away who
• 15:00
Speaker 2: you would choose right now, did this victory the way
• 15:03
Speaker 2: that things are going, Rhea going on the shelf shelf
• 15:06
Speaker 2: time with Tony Storm not really being around since all
• 15:09
Speaker 2: in all out timeframe, did Live Morgan pull ahead potentially
• 15:14
Speaker 2: as the female rest of the year.
• 15:17
Speaker 4: Yeah, It's very possible because I mean it kind of
• 15:19
Speaker 4: depends on I mean, if you had gone just through June,
• 15:24
Speaker 4: I probably would have had Lived like fourth or fifth.
• 15:27
Speaker 4: But with Rhea's injury, Tony Storm taking time off, some
• 15:33
Speaker 4: of the other women not really stepping their game up
• 15:35
Speaker 4: to I just feel like Live's gone to a different
• 15:37
Speaker 4: level since her return. So if you had a call
• 15:41
Speaker 4: right now, I would give the edge to Live over
• 15:43
Speaker 4: everybody else in women's wrestling.
• 15:46
Speaker 2: Next match here is Randy or versus Kevin Owens being
• 15:49
Speaker 2: ruled a no contest as the match never took place,
• 15:52
Speaker 2: So we had Kevin Owens in this one, but the
• 15:54
Speaker 2: match never happened. I thought this was a good way
• 15:56
Speaker 2: to keep the violence of the feud going. I'm not
• 15:59
Speaker 2: a fan of a no contest no contest slash DQ,
• 16:02
Speaker 2: but this was executed pretty well and made a lot
• 16:04
Speaker 2: of sense. I wonder if Orrin and Owen's direction as
• 16:07
Speaker 2: an eventual three way match with Cody as soon as
• 16:11
Speaker 2: relatively soon, because there's been a couple of vignettes or
• 16:13
Speaker 2: backstage segments where Randy's been eyeing the w un Disputed
• 16:16
Speaker 2: Championship lately. I was fine with this, Doctor Trey. I
• 16:20
Speaker 2: don't like seeing promoted matches never take place, especially for
• 16:23
  Speaker 2: the crowd.
• 16:24
Speaker 3: But I thought the way that they did this.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: Made sense, and I thought fans were sent home happy
• 16:30
Speaker 2: because it was a well thought out.
• 16:32
Speaker 3: Plan for the way that this match went to a
• 16:34
  Speaker 3: no contest.
• 16:35
Speaker 4: Your thoughts, Yeah, I didn't hate it, but I felt
• 16:40
Speaker 4: I don't know, like in my head when I saw this,
• 16:42
Speaker 4: I was like, you could have booked it this way
• 16:45
Speaker 4: and you could have booked it as a different way.
• 16:48
Speaker 4: That's only because I think it was right before that
• 16:51
Speaker 4: they did the Crown Jewel press conference and Kevin Owens
• 16:54
Speaker 4: was like sealing ray Ordy. He's like, I would have
• 16:56
Speaker 4: never done to you what you did to me. I
• 16:59
Speaker 4: loved you, Da da da. It felt like this route
• 17:02
Speaker 4: was an amplification of violence when they didn't really have
• 17:07
Speaker 4: that much leading into a couple weeks before. It just
• 17:11
Speaker 4: felt like they jumped a level. Like I'm fine with it.
• 17:13
Speaker 4: It makes sense. I get why they did it, but
• 17:16
Speaker 4: I could have easily seen just Kevin Ellen was going,
• 17:18
Speaker 4: you know, I'm not doing this match and just rolled
• 17:20
Speaker 4: out of the ring and walked away. So there's a
• 17:21
Speaker 4: couple different ways that could have gone with it. But
• 17:24
Speaker 4: you know, I'm fine with the route. They did. I
• 17:27
Speaker 4: just felt like they just kind of jumped it. They
• 17:29
Speaker 4: jumped over a level and putting this together.
• 17:32
  Speaker 3: Interesting. Interesting.
• 17:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean most of the time you want to
• 17:35
Speaker 2: see the match take place, but I guess for the
• 17:38
Speaker 2: few it it made sense to me. I mean, I
• 17:43
Speaker 2: don't like no contest, but I thought that the way
• 17:45
Speaker 2: that it was so violent and laid each other out
• 17:48
Speaker 2: and injuries and all that stuff, that I just felt like,
• 17:51
Speaker 2: all right, that makes sense. Let's see where it goes
• 17:53
Speaker 2: from here, because I think the direction is these two
• 17:56
Speaker 2: guys will be in a three way match with Cody
• 17:58
  Speaker 2: at some point.
• 18:00
  Speaker 4: Yeah. No, I don't. It wasn't I that I disliked it.
• 18:04
Speaker 4: I understood why they did it. It just felt like,
• 18:07
Speaker 4: other than what a couple of small physical interactions leading
• 18:11
Speaker 4: into it, it's basically just been a lot of talk
• 18:13
Speaker 4: if I'm wrong, No, no.
• 18:15
Speaker 3: You're right, But I mean Owens has been on TV.
• 18:18
Speaker 3: Did they like sending him home?
• 18:20
Speaker 4: But it just felt like to have it go to
• 18:22
Speaker 4: this all out kind of brawl between these guys when
• 18:25
Speaker 4: they really haven't is because it, like the vignettes I'm
• 18:29
Speaker 4: watching is kind of Ko telling Randy he's wrong and
• 18:34
  Speaker 4: do you.
• 18:34
Speaker 3: Think like Ko's gone a little bit crazy.
• 18:38
Speaker 4: Yeah to it, agree, But once again, Randy's Randy's the
• 18:42
Speaker 4: new cerebral assassin. I don't know if he to me,
• 18:45
Speaker 4: he's he's more mental in his aspects than he is violent,
• 18:49
Speaker 4: you know, which was always like the Triple H character,
• 18:51
Speaker 4: which I think Randy's kind of taken over that role.
• 18:54
Speaker 4: I don't know if his character would have It's kind
• 18:58
Speaker 4: of like just a dichotomy of the character. I don't
• 19:00
Speaker 4: know if Randy's character right now is to go to
• 19:04
Speaker 4: straight violence without thinking it out. And I felt like
• 19:09
  Speaker 4: it's just I don't know, Like I said, I could
• 19:11
Speaker 4: have I don't have a problem with the way they
• 19:12
Speaker 4: did it. I would have also been, like, you know,
• 19:16
Speaker 4: if Kao had got in the ring the bell got
• 19:18
Speaker 4: ready to ring, he just dipped out and walked down
• 19:20
Speaker 4: and goes, no, I'm not fighting you, Randy, I love you.
• 19:23
Speaker 4: You're wrong on this one. I'm not going to be
• 19:25
Speaker 4: the one that jur your career like this. You're wrong,
• 19:28
Speaker 4: We're not doing this and walked away. So I'm fine
• 19:31
Speaker 4: with the way they did it. I just still would
• 19:33
Speaker 4: have liked to see a little more build up to
• 19:35
Speaker 4: physicality before they got to that level. If I don't
• 19:39
Speaker 4: know that makes sense to you, But that's kind of
• 19:41
Speaker 4: like I want to see one more step before we
• 19:44
Speaker 4: get to a match that you can't even control it
• 19:47
Speaker 4: all because they have that much hatred now all of
• 19:50
  Speaker 4: a sudden.
• 19:51
Speaker 3: No, it makes sense. But King you also take into
• 19:53
Speaker 3: account that like Ko started this, I mean physically he started.
• 19:57
Speaker 4: This, Yeah, but it wasn't the shot like in his
• 20:00
Speaker 4: mind accidental the initial shots and Randy hit him.
• 20:06
Speaker 2: Randy had the back elbow, right, accidental elbow, so that
• 20:09
Speaker 2: would have been an accident in his mind Randy's mind, right, Yeah.
• 20:14
Speaker 3: And more, Kevin Owens is upset that he's like siding
• 20:17
Speaker 3: with Cody Roads, that's the side that he picked.
• 20:20
  Speaker 4: Yeah, and I get, like I said, I don't have
• 20:22
Speaker 4: a problem with it. I think it's fine the way
• 20:24
Speaker 4: they did it. I just wanted to see because Ko's
• 20:27
Speaker 4: a hot head, he's hot tempered, he's gonna fire off. Randy, though,
• 20:32
Speaker 4: was more meticulous in what he does. So the Randy
• 20:35
Speaker 4: character I thought should have been a little bit more
• 20:37
Speaker 4: strategic in the approach and not just go to straight
• 20:40
Speaker 4: brawling all out, you know. But then I don't know,
• 20:44
  Speaker 4: I guys said I I don't have a problem with it.
• 20:46
Speaker 4: I just there are other ways of getting into it
• 20:49
Speaker 4: to increase the anticipation for an all out brawl instead
• 20:53
Speaker 4: of just jumping right to the all out brawl.
• 20:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, the no contest DQ stuff is strange. I think
• 21:00
Speaker 2: think a lot of wrestling fans can't. We can't get
• 21:02
Speaker 2: our heads around it because it's not it's not the
• 21:05
Speaker 2: result that we like when you're watching, Like a PLA,
• 21:08
Speaker 2: you want to do it during TV, fine, but a PLA,
• 21:10
Speaker 2: it's like, uh really, like come on, guys, people pay
• 21:13
Speaker 2: actually watch this shit.
• 21:15
Speaker 4: It's also a way to keep both guys from having
• 21:17
Speaker 4: a loss when you're trying to build them up to
• 21:20
Speaker 4: then include Cody into it, which is one thing that
• 21:22
Speaker 4: we have kind of knocked WWE on is we haven't
• 21:26
Speaker 4: had that great, strong challenger for Cody yet. This is
• 21:30
Speaker 4: a way of keeping both guys strong, no losses on
• 21:33
Speaker 4: their resume, so that way, when we go to a
• 21:35
Speaker 4: triple threat or we go to something with these guys,
• 21:38
Speaker 4: it makes no more sense and both guys have their
• 21:40
  Speaker 4: credibility re established.
• 21:42
Speaker 2: Next match here is La Night defeating Andrade and Carmelo
• 21:45
Speaker 2: Hayes in a triple threat match retain the w United
• 21:47
Speaker 2: States Championship with both at La Night and this one
• 21:50
Speaker 2: that was one of the most innovative finishers finishes I've
• 21:53
Speaker 2: ever seen in a triple threat match, with Carmelo going
• 21:55
Speaker 2: for the Hurricane roun a facebuster on Androde only be
• 21:58
Speaker 2: caught with a BFT for La Knight for the one
• 22:00
  Speaker 2: two three.
• 22:01
Speaker 3: This is an old school feel for feel for me
• 22:05
Speaker 3: or the upper mid car title.
• 22:07
Speaker 2: Some strong competitors in it that can steal the show
• 22:09
Speaker 2: at any given night if given the opportunity, and I
• 22:12
Speaker 2: hope that the US title division continues to draw on SmackDown.
• 22:14
Speaker 2: I enjoyed this one outch Trey your thoughts as La
• 22:17
  Speaker 2: Night retained.
• 22:18
  Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a really fun mattery. It's weird. I don't
• 22:21
Speaker 4: know if I've always bought in as Andrade as a
• 22:23
Speaker 4: baby face because I love him as a heel so much,
• 22:26
Speaker 4: but in this situation, I thought it made sense because
• 22:29
Speaker 4: Carmelo's over as a heel and Drade's kind of in,
• 22:32
Speaker 4: you know, people want to cheer for him, but he's
• 22:34
Speaker 4: kind of in the middle, and La Knight's been love
• 22:35
Speaker 4: so it made sense that you have a heel a
• 22:38
Speaker 4: guy that's kind of in the middle and then the
• 22:39
Speaker 4: baby face, but the babyface kind of acts like an asshole,
• 22:43
Speaker 4: so it works out well. So really fun match, creative finish.
• 22:48
Speaker 4: But yeah, I don't know how if you think about
• 22:51
Speaker 4: this is what I do. I almost like La Knight's
• 22:54
Speaker 4: too over to be in the mid card title hunt,
• 22:57
Speaker 4: Like he should be higher up the food chain because
• 23:00
Speaker 4: it's like all the mid car guys on SmackDown haven't
• 23:03
Speaker 4: been established enough to be on his level. So like
• 23:07
Speaker 4: when he's fighting Santos Escobar or Carmelo or even Andrade,
• 23:11
Speaker 4: it always feels like it's a little overmatched that La
• 23:13
Speaker 4: Knight's really heavily favored in every one of these. I
• 23:16
Speaker 4: think we got still got to build some guys up
• 23:18
Speaker 4: and have a couple guys get some victories over or
• 23:21
Speaker 4: beat l A. Knight down, so that way you go, yeah,
• 23:24
Speaker 4: I see that he could be in trouble here. The
• 23:27
Speaker 4: triple threats are just a way to kind of do
• 23:29
Speaker 4: the whole well, he's only got a thirty three percent
• 23:32
Speaker 4: chance to win if it's a triple threat. It's that
• 23:34
Speaker 4: kind of selling. I always hate, I hear you.
• 23:36
Speaker 2: I really feel like WWE should look back at like
• 23:40
Speaker 2: nineteen ninety nine Rock when he was over as a babyface,
• 23:43
Speaker 2: but he was still acting as a heel, very arrogant,
• 23:46
Speaker 2: and very similar to the La Night character, which sometimes
• 23:48
Speaker 2: is a detriment to La Knight and often pointing out
• 23:50
Speaker 2: by some people. I would look at that, at the
• 23:53
Speaker 2: way that they booked Rock back then, you got to
• 23:55
Speaker 2: make him still look like a sympathetic babyface and not
• 23:58
Speaker 2: to be looking like this guy who's an upper mid
• 24:01
Speaker 2: carter that should be in the main event picture, but
• 24:04
Speaker 2: utilizing him well in the upper mid cart right now
• 24:07
Speaker 2: while you still can and are because the main event
• 24:10
Speaker 2: is a little bit more congested than anything else.
• 24:13
Speaker 3: So that's what I would say. I do see those similarities.
• 24:16
Speaker 2: It's funny that you point this out, because as I
• 24:18
Speaker 2: was watching Crown Jewel, I was like, I think it
• 24:21
Speaker 2: was a year ago where he was in the match
• 24:23
Speaker 2: with Roman Reigns and that was on the part of
• 24:25
Speaker 2: his comeuppance in w And I'm like, is he a
• 24:28
Speaker 2: bigger star now than he was back then? And I
• 24:32
Speaker 2: think it's just kind of like even playing field, He's
• 24:34
Speaker 2: not less of a star as he was a year ago.
• 24:37
Speaker 2: He's not more of a star as he was a
• 24:38
Speaker 2: year ago. He's just kind of stayed that way, which
• 24:41
Speaker 2: is a good thing because sometimes when people are on
• 24:43
Speaker 2: a rocket ship ascending upwards, they can crash back to
• 24:47
Speaker 2: Earth pretty easily and effectively if the fans don't get
• 24:51
Speaker 2: behind them anymore. He's maintained that, and I think that's
• 24:55
Speaker 2: a good thing for the long term of La Night.
• 24:56
Speaker 2: But going back to your point, doctor, I would look
• 24:58
Speaker 2: back at like ninety nine Rock and be like, Okay,
• 25:00
Speaker 2: how did we how did we get the heels over
• 25:03
Speaker 2: on him a little bit more?
• 25:05
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just for a company that has as many
• 25:08
Speaker 4: groups and factions as they do, Uh, you would think
• 25:11
Speaker 4: it'd be maybe a carrying cross faction, although they're on
• 25:15
Speaker 4: raw now, but something like that where you have other guys,
• 25:19
Speaker 4: even Santos with you know, the Garzas, you know, have
• 25:23
Speaker 4: all of them be down La Knight. You guess you
• 25:25
Speaker 4: just gotta get some sympathy because right now, like when
• 25:28
  Speaker 4: I watch the shows, I'm like, I don't feel like
• 25:29
Speaker 4: La Knights in Jeopardy of losing matches to a lot
• 25:34
Speaker 4: of these guys because there just doesn't seem any there's
• 25:36
Speaker 4: not enough obstacles in his way. It just feels like
• 25:39
Speaker 4: he's just kind of running through guys, and it does also,
• 25:42
Speaker 4: I don't know about you, does it Does it feel
• 25:44
Speaker 4: like he's elevating anybody in the mid card division right
• 25:47
Speaker 4: now in this run? And I the Rock compareson is
• 25:50
Speaker 4: great because I feel like Rock elevated Ken Shamrocks and
• 25:52
Speaker 4: the Owen Harts and some of those guys in that
• 25:55
Speaker 4: in that mid card division back in ninety nine. I
• 25:57
Speaker 4: don't know if I feel like La Knight's elevating anybody
• 26:00
Speaker 4: else to get closer to his level because we just
• 26:02
  Speaker 4: don't see what. I just don't feel like he's in
• 26:04
Speaker 4: jeopardy at all right now.
• 26:06
Speaker 2: I think you and I look at this type of
• 26:07
Speaker 2: stuff differently because we watch all forms of wrestling. I
• 26:11
Speaker 2: think if I took a step back, I would say
• 26:14
Speaker 2: Andrade and Carmelo have been elevated being involved with La Knight,
• 26:19
  Speaker 2: all right.
• 26:20
Speaker 4: I mean I can say that they elevate themselves based
• 26:23
Speaker 4: on those six matches they had.
• 26:24
Speaker 3: But but what's the next step from those matches that series?
• 26:28
Speaker 3: And that would this would be it?
• 26:30
Speaker 4: Yeah? No, you're right, I feel like, yeah, but do
• 26:33
Speaker 4: you feel like Santos got elevated in his little rivalry
• 26:36
Speaker 4: he had with l Knight.
• 26:37
Speaker 3: No, No, they need to do more with Santos Escumor.
• 26:39
Speaker 3: He's very, very talented.
• 26:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, I just feel like sometimes you when you have
• 26:43
Speaker 4: a strong mid card champion, you just gotta have some
• 26:47
Speaker 4: you gotta feel like you're bringing other guys up to
• 26:49
Speaker 4: that level. And it's weird to say that about Andrada.
• 26:50
Speaker 4: This guy's been a multiple time champion. It's just that
• 26:53
Speaker 4: I feel like since he came back, he's plateaued at
• 26:57
Speaker 4: like a mid card level, where lle Knight's at an
• 26:59
Speaker 4: upper mid car our lower main event level. I don't
• 27:01
Speaker 4: feel like andrades up to his level. But that's why
• 27:04
Speaker 4: you put him in a triple threat, because that increases
• 27:07
Speaker 4: the odds of them losing, and it'd be okay. I
• 27:10
Speaker 4: just feel like if you said, hey, La Night's going
• 27:12
Speaker 4: one on one with Andrade, or La Night's going one
• 27:14
Speaker 4: on one with Carmelo, I just figure most fans are
• 27:16
Speaker 4: gonna go, Yeah, it's an easy win. That's a win
• 27:18
Speaker 4: for La Night. You put him in a triple threat
• 27:21
Speaker 4: match because it does increase the obstacle to it. But
• 27:25
Speaker 4: I just don't feel like those guys are on his level.
• 27:28
  Speaker 4: Yet comparatively speaking.
• 27:31
Speaker 2: Well to your original point, baby Face Andrade against l
• 27:35
Speaker 2: A Night not doing it for me, lack of elevation.
• 27:39
Speaker 2: Andrade when he's turned heel is one of the best.
• 27:42
Speaker 2: I think, Yes, you gotta turn him heel in a
• 27:44
Speaker 2: feud here with LA nine and that and him winning
• 27:46
Speaker 2: the US Championship would make a ton of sense, and
• 27:48
  Speaker 2: it elevates Andrade. I mean they're if I'm if there's
• 27:52
Speaker 2: a bagging of the drum of like, oh right, which
• 27:55
Speaker 2: baby face should we turn heel?
• 27:56
Speaker 3: Right now? In w A without question? Andredes one of
• 27:59
Speaker 3: those names that I mentioned, Oh.
• 28:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, I can't. I could agree with more right
• 28:04
  Speaker 4: down there.
• 28:05
Speaker 2: And then finally the main event, Cody Roads, the endisp
• 28:07
Speaker 2: at W champion, defeats gun thro World of Weight Champion
• 28:10
Speaker 2: to win the Men's W Crowndewel Championship. We both had,
• 28:12
Speaker 2: Cody and this one enjoyable finish that protects the losing champion.
• 28:16
Speaker 2: This one Gunther as it came off as Cody Rhodes
• 28:19
Speaker 2: catching gun for the pin rather than outright beating him.
• 28:21
Speaker 3: Solid performance from two.
• 28:22
Speaker 2: Guys on top of their game in we handshake postmatch
• 28:27
Speaker 2: following night or two nights later on Raw, Gunther said
• 28:31
Speaker 2: that that Cody was a better man and had his respect.
• 28:35
Speaker 2: I thought it was good all around. It was just
• 28:37
Speaker 2: a very solid wrestling match, and I don't think anybody
• 28:41
Speaker 2: looked bad. Your thoughts here, doctor Trey, as Cody is
• 28:43
Speaker 2: the men's w WE Crown Jewel Champion.
• 28:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought the match itself was really good, really enjoyable,
• 28:51
Speaker 4: some really good ring psychology to it. It made sense.
• 28:55
Speaker 4: I'm just not a huge fan of the post match handshakes.
• 28:59
  Speaker 4: I'm really not unless it's two baby faces. I don't
• 29:03
Speaker 4: get it. I really don't like this is this. I
• 29:06
Speaker 4: could never see Superman Alex Luthor shaking hands after a match,
• 29:11
Speaker 4: and gun There's supposed to be a villainous champion. I
• 29:14
Speaker 4: get it, the ring is sacred. He respects what Cody
• 29:17
Speaker 4: did in that match, but I just I could do
• 29:20
Speaker 4: without the handshakes. I just this is not my thing
• 29:23
Speaker 4: and is probably the old curmudgeon in me that just
• 29:26
Speaker 4: likes I like my strong, dividing lions against good guys
• 29:30
Speaker 4: and bad guys. I don't like bad guys looking and
• 29:33
Speaker 4: endearing or looking respectful at times. I just want Gunther
• 29:37
Speaker 4: to go roll the ring and come back on wrong goo.
• 29:40
Speaker 4: You know, we had a great match. Cody earned my
• 29:43
Speaker 4: respect in his performance, but he got lucky. He should
• 29:45
Speaker 4: never you know, that would never happen.
• 29:47
Speaker 2: Again, to be fair, To be fair, You've always been
• 29:51
Speaker 2: a fan of double kisses on the cheek right.
• 29:55
Speaker 3: Kind of handshakes usually, but.
• 29:57
Speaker 4: That's usually backstage when there's no cameras, and then you
• 30:00
Speaker 4: know things can escalate.
• 30:01
  Speaker 3: Okay, fair enough.
• 30:02
Speaker 2: I thought you were an in ring one kiss left cheek,
• 30:05
Speaker 2: one kiss right cheek, and everybody's happy, like Nunzio did
• 30:09
Speaker 2: on Wednesday's edition of nxt.
• 30:13
Speaker 3: UH pay per view.
• 30:15
Speaker 2: Prediction record for this one, I'm six and oh doct
• 30:17
Speaker 2: trail one four and two on the year, I'm one,
• 30:19
Speaker 2: thirty three and thirty six doctor Trail one twenty and
• 30:21
  Speaker 2: forty nine.
• 30:23
Speaker 3: Match of the night. In event rating, I gave the
• 30:26
Speaker 3: event a three point seven. I thought it was a
• 30:28
Speaker 3: fine show and my favorite match was the blood Line
• 30:31
Speaker 3: and Roman Reigns. In the USOS, let's say you.
• 30:33
Speaker 4: Doctor Troit, I was a little ower. I was three
• 30:36
Speaker 4: point five. My mentionine I was blood line in you know,
• 30:39
Speaker 4: blood line and old blood line or repurpose blood line
• 30:43
  Speaker 4: or two blood.
• 30:43
Speaker 3: Line, pretty purposed blood line.
• 30:45
Speaker 4: I don't know, but yeah, that was my match then.
• 30:48
Speaker 4: And then I guess at three point five on the show,
• 30:50
Speaker 4: I thought it was I thought it was a solid show.
• 30:52
Speaker 4: But once again, I don't think there's anything to other
• 30:57
Speaker 4: than Sammy kicking Roman. There's really nothing going to be
• 30:59
Speaker 4: super memorable three years from now about it.
• 31:02
Speaker 2: No, I would agree with you, all right, So I
• 31:05
Speaker 2: just mentioned Nunzo, I mentioned NXT. Last night was the
• 31:10
Speaker 2: one night only WWE versus AW W NXC versus AW
• 31:15
Speaker 2: Wednesday Night War as NXT slid over to Wednesday nights
• 31:19
Speaker 2: due to the election coverage here in the United States.
• 31:23
Speaker 2: NXC was emanating from ECW Arena twenty three hundred Arena
• 31:27
Speaker 2: in Philadelphia and AW was emanating Dynamite from College in
• 31:32
Speaker 2: New Hampshire. I went into this one Doctor Trey being like,
• 31:38
Speaker 2: I want to watch NXT, and that was a show
• 31:40
  Speaker 2: that I watched.
• 31:40
  Speaker 3: First.
• 31:41
Speaker 2: I watched NXT live. I watched AW on DVR. What
• 31:47
Speaker 2: was your viewing of this? Did you watch either show live?
• 31:50
Speaker 2: Did you watch them on DVR later on? What were
• 31:53
Speaker 2: your thoughts on that? And then what we'll do is
• 31:55
Speaker 2: we'll discuss who we thought walked out of the One
• 31:58
Speaker 2: Night Only Wednesday Night or the Victor.
• 32:01
Speaker 3: So, how did you go about watching ones? And I
• 32:04
Speaker 3: wore on last night?
• 32:06
Speaker 4: So I had NXT on live. Now, mind you running
• 32:11
Speaker 4: a fever several trips of the bathroom during the show,
• 32:14
Speaker 4: so there may be a couple of things that I missed.
• 32:17
Speaker 4: I had to go back and read to see what
• 32:19
Speaker 4: I might have missed while I was trying to compensate.
• 32:23
Speaker 4: I actually watched Dynamite this morning, so that was my viewings,
• 32:30
Speaker 4: and that's my and that's my typical antime. These shows
• 32:32
Speaker 4: overlap or things like that happened. That's typically I'll watch
• 32:35
Speaker 4: the ww stuff live and then catch aw on. Well
• 32:39
Speaker 4: you say DVR, I have an app that streams all
• 32:42
Speaker 4: the wrestling shows to me. So that's kind of my
• 32:46
  Speaker 4: viewing habits anyway.
• 32:48
Speaker 2: So looking back at the show, my recap, I'll be
• 32:50
Speaker 2: interested with doctor Trey said, I'll just come out in
• 32:53
Speaker 2: the open here. Neither show blew me away as a
• 32:57
Speaker 2: wrestling fan. If I had to pick one over the other,
• 33:01
  Speaker 2: I thought the.
• 33:02
Speaker 3: Better show was just slightly aw Dynamite. Last night.
• 33:06
Speaker 2: I thought WWE, NXT and the ECW Arena kind of
• 33:10
Speaker 2: felt like a mixed match, rushed show, got off the
• 33:15
Speaker 2: beaten path the success that they've had as of late
• 33:18
Speaker 2: as a show, and was so uber focused on ECW
• 33:22
Speaker 2: and all that stuff, and I was like, Okay, that
• 33:24
Speaker 2: makes a ton of sense. There were some great cameos,
• 33:26
Speaker 2: some returns Rhino RVD that was a lot of fun.
• 33:30
  Speaker 3: In nostalgia.
• 33:31
Speaker 2: I thought from a viewing standpoint, it looked like relatively small,
• 33:35
Speaker 2: like there was maybe five hundred fans in attendance. I
• 33:38
Speaker 2: always thought the ECW arena could fit.
• 33:40
  Speaker 3: More than that.
• 33:42
Speaker 2: I would have gone a little bit more on the
• 33:44
Speaker 2: nostalgia front, and I wouldn't have done your typical NXT
• 33:48
Speaker 2: ringing that entrance. I would have done the old ECW
• 33:52
Speaker 2: like NXC style entrance with the brick and the barboire.
• 33:56
Speaker 2: Let them come out that way. I would have tried
• 33:58
Speaker 2: to get Joey Styles.
• 33:59
  Speaker 3: Maybe they did.
• 34:00
Speaker 2: I don't know where Joey Styles is at anymore to
• 34:02
Speaker 2: be involved in this one. The ring announcer from ECW
• 34:05
Speaker 2: I would have brought back for this one. Let Mike
• 34:07
Speaker 2: Rome sit it out. He was over in Saudi Arabia
• 34:09
Speaker 2: a couple days ago. Make it all ECW in that sense,
• 34:13
Speaker 2: and I thought that they missed a little bit out
• 34:14
Speaker 2: on it. So I thought from the viewing standpoint, it didn't.
• 34:17
Speaker 2: It just felt like an arena that Impact Wrestling TNA
• 34:21
Speaker 2: would have their shows taped in, rather than something that
• 34:25
Speaker 2: looked like the ECW.
• 34:26
Speaker 3: Arena at one time.
• 34:28
Speaker 2: AW Dynamite was just it was fine. It wasn't anything
• 34:34
Speaker 2: that blew it out of the water. I liked last
• 34:36
Speaker 2: week's episode versus this week's episode. But when you're comparing
• 34:39
Speaker 2: the two, I watched NXT live AW Dynamite on DVR
• 34:45
Speaker 2: on demand. It was the better show to me was
• 34:49
Speaker 2: AW Dynamite, and it just was like a tick more.
• 34:52
Speaker 2: It was like neither one was amazing great blew the
• 34:55
Speaker 2: other one out of the water. I just thought AW
• 34:59
Speaker 2: was slightly better. Doctor Trey, what were your thoughts as
• 35:02
Speaker 2: you compared the two and and and give us who
• 35:04
Speaker 2: you thought was the better show on on Wednesday Night
• 35:08
  Speaker 2: this past week.
• 35:10
Speaker 4: So it's weird, like like, as far as an actual show,
• 35:15
Speaker 4: I thought AW had a better show as far as
• 35:19
Speaker 4: continuing storylines, adding depth, you know, creating intrigue stuff like that.
• 35:24
Speaker 4: WW might a one because of the nostalgia aspect of it,
• 35:27
Speaker 4: because I mean, look, it was great that Trick couldn't
• 35:30
Speaker 4: find a table, so we got Devon to come out
• 35:33
Speaker 4: and get the tables. Seeing they were actually between RVD
• 35:37
Speaker 4: and wes Lee. I thought that was really cool in
• 35:39
Speaker 4: the sense of, like, man, these are basically the two
• 35:42
Speaker 4: best high flyers, one of their generations, one with our generation.
• 35:46
Speaker 4: And then throwing Javon Evans into mixer that was great.
• 35:49
Speaker 4: You get Don Marie out there and there's Francin and
• 35:51
Speaker 4: a ringsi on. I was waiting for a cat fight
• 35:53
Speaker 4: to break out, you know, in the front row. But
• 35:56
  Speaker 4: it felt like a w W E c W show.
• 36:00
Speaker 4: It felt like that those shows from that era of
• 36:04
Speaker 4: the ECW that w was using that we all didn't
• 36:07
Speaker 4: like that much because it wasn't ECW, it was their version.
• 36:11
Speaker 4: It felt kind of like that. And although the matches
• 36:15
Speaker 4: had continuance of their storylines, the nostalgia aspect kind of
• 36:20
Speaker 4: took away from the build to those storty lines. Like
• 36:23
Speaker 4: the only match that really had any kind of continuance
• 36:26
Speaker 4: of their storylines was the Ladies made the Ladies five
• 36:28
Speaker 4: on five match. Everything else kind of felt like, yeah,
• 36:32
Speaker 4: there's there are in a few, but we got we
• 36:34
Speaker 4: had to shove these guys into it. So as far
• 36:36
Speaker 4: as a workable show storyline wise, depth, you know, all
• 36:41
Speaker 4: that stuff, I thought AW was a little bit better
• 36:43
Speaker 4: than WWE. But seeing Rhino Gore, Robert Stone was fantastic,
• 36:48
Speaker 4: you know, seeing some of that stuff that was great,
• 36:50
Speaker 4: But the depth of that show was less than what
• 36:54
Speaker 4: AW was putting on. So I gave AW the edge
• 36:56
Speaker 4: on having a better show for their product in their future.
• 37:01
Speaker 3: The other thing, and I hate doing this, but clearly,
• 37:04
Speaker 3: uh time catches up to all of us. Rvd's not wrestling.
• 37:09
Speaker 3: When I've watched RVD wrestle in the past, it's like,
• 37:12
Speaker 3: oh he's you know, he's a guy in his fifties
• 37:14
Speaker 3: at this point. It's what it looks like.
• 37:16
Speaker 2: H NUNZIOH God Bless him. Was the first time he
• 37:18
Speaker 2: wrestled the match in sixteen years. I read he did
• 37:23
Speaker 2: the best he could. I got a good laugh when
• 37:25
Speaker 2: he did the Sign of the Cross before the finishing move.
• 37:28
Speaker 2: It was nice to see Tony Mama Luke, who is
• 37:31
Speaker 2: kind of like one of those like rare hidden gems
• 37:33
Speaker 2: in ECW wasn't there that long. I actually had like
• 37:37
Speaker 2: a better run in ROH than he did an ECW
• 37:39
Speaker 2: longer run in ROH than he did an ECW. Don Marie,
• 37:42
Speaker 2: I think counted three several times in the match before
• 37:45
  Speaker 2: the actual three.
• 37:46
Speaker 3: Did you notice that, doctor try?
• 37:49
Speaker 4: I think sometimes that gravity against the best of us.
• 37:51
Speaker 4: It is hard to do that two and three quarter
• 37:53
Speaker 4: count if you're not prepared.
• 37:55
Speaker 2: For Yeah, and then I saw people shitting on and
• 37:59
Speaker 2: maybe it was sarr casm. It's hard to read and
• 38:01
Speaker 2: when it comes to online but shitting that they used
• 38:03
Speaker 2: a fake brick. It's like, did you want me to
• 38:05
Speaker 2: use a real one?
• 38:06
  Speaker 4: Like?
• 38:07
Speaker 3: What do we what are we doing here?
• 38:08
Speaker 2: I mean, we've learned from what some of the shots
• 38:12
Speaker 2: that the people in ECW took, how that went. I
• 38:17
Speaker 2: know Devon can't get cleared in a w ring, but
• 38:20
Speaker 2: you haven't come out you bring a table like I
• 38:22
Speaker 2: expect three D like not a double choke slam from
• 38:25
Speaker 2: Bubba Ray and Trick Williams. Trick once again looks like
• 38:30
Speaker 2: a giraffe without ice skates on ice rink at times
• 38:37
Speaker 2: in the match. So, I mean, it was just like
• 38:40
Speaker 2: it was what it was, And I really liked how
• 38:41
Speaker 2: you said it felt like a WWEE E CW promotion
• 38:46
Speaker 2: or produced event rather than a e CW produced event.
• 38:50
Speaker 2: So overall it was nice, it was cool. I hope
• 38:54
Speaker 2: they go back and do the ecwring again. I like
• 38:57
Speaker 2: we bring the NXC brand around these nostalgia shows. I
• 39:01
Speaker 2: would bring them to the Hammer's time in New York
• 39:04
Speaker 2: or Manhattan Center where Raw used to be, like those
• 39:06
Speaker 2: three areas that w W is considering for the future shows.
• 39:10
Speaker 2: I think that would be a lot of fun. But overall,
• 39:13
Speaker 2: just slightly for me, it was it was AW dot Tree.
• 39:15
  Speaker 3: You went with w W.
• 39:16
Speaker 4: Correct, No, I was AW is a better show.
• 39:19
Speaker 2: Okay, you went with a W overall, but what do
• 39:21
Speaker 2: you feel the same way just slightly better or did
• 39:23
Speaker 2: you think it was it wasn't.
• 39:25
Speaker 4: It wasn't It wasn't much better. But just like I said,
• 39:27
Speaker 4: like just on depth of continuing their storylines, a W
• 39:32
Speaker 4: had the edge, like you had the stuff with you know,
• 39:35
Speaker 4: Ricochet and Hobbs and the callis Family and then you
• 39:38
Speaker 4: know the Learning Tree and the congomeration and then stat
• 39:41
Speaker 4: Landers stuff with merce City has been like the depth
• 39:45
Speaker 4: of continuing their storylines was better on AW than what
• 39:49
Speaker 4: uh NXT did. By the way, should if they do
• 39:52
  Speaker 4: want in Atlanta can we get a w c W
• 39:56
Speaker 4: throw back night or something. Or if they go to
• 39:59
Speaker 4: the UH, oh the Universal Studios in Orlando, can we
• 40:03
Speaker 4: get it like a TNA throwback one? Is this gonna
• 40:05
Speaker 4: be like the trend? If we go to an old
• 40:07
Speaker 4: building that's known for another promotion, we get throwback nights.
• 40:11
Speaker 3: Well, they did the remember NXC did the building in Atlanta.
• 40:14
Speaker 3: What what was that the sound stage?
• 40:17
  Speaker 4: Oh what the.
• 40:20
Speaker 3: Center stage? They did a couple of shows there back.
• 40:22
Speaker 4: In the day, but they didn't bring back any of
• 40:24
  Speaker 4: the w c W n W A guide, I mean
• 40:27
Speaker 4: you could have had.
• 40:27
Speaker 2: That was under Vince's reign. Vince never capitalized on anything
• 40:32
Speaker 2: w CNW. They should have done like a throwback Nitro
• 40:35
Speaker 2: once on a raw that'd be great, like.
• 40:38
Speaker 4: From the from the do one from you know Atlanta,
• 40:40
Speaker 4: like you know, especially if Goldberg comes back, you can
• 40:43
Speaker 4: do one in the Georgia Dome or like in Atlanta
• 40:45
Speaker 4: the new UH Arena. The Hawks play at UH and
• 40:49
Speaker 4: then do you know throwback like you know goldbergs in
• 40:51
Speaker 4: the ring and then all of a sudden, Nwong music
• 40:53
Speaker 4: hits that would blow people, like blow the minds of
• 40:56
Speaker 4: guys like you and me.
• 40:57
Speaker 2: One of the last WA video games I bought. I
• 40:59
Speaker 2: think it was two UK fourteen Doctor Trade. This is
• 41:01
Speaker 2: more up up your area here of expertise. They're like
• 41:06
Speaker 2: one of the main storylines was WW like returned in Takeover.
• 41:10
Speaker 2: Do you remember that one?
• 41:12
Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, I do.
• 41:13
Speaker 3: It was like Kevin.
• 41:13
Speaker 2: It was like Kevin Nash. I think like Rna Anderson
• 41:16
Speaker 2: was involved in it as well, and I loved it.
• 41:19
Speaker 2: That was a really cool storyline and I'd be down
• 41:21
Speaker 2: with that. But yeah, give us some more Nostaal Jacks
• 41:24
Speaker 2: to a WW tribute show now that Vince has gone,
• 41:29
Speaker 2: all right, so switching gears here. WWE has launched a
• 41:33
Speaker 2: revolutionary program called the Indie Wrestling Development Program, also known
• 41:36
Speaker 2: as ID program. The program is designed to provide up
• 41:40
Speaker 2: and coming independent wrestlers with a pathway to a potential
• 41:43
Speaker 2: career in WE. Under the program, w will provide prominent
• 41:47
Speaker 2: independent wrestling schools with the WID official designation, with the
• 41:51
Speaker 2: goal providing new trainees and existing talent at these select
• 41:53
Speaker 2: institutions with enhanced developmental opportunities. WID will also I definity
• 41:58
Speaker 2: a top independent wrestling prospects with official WID Prospect designation
• 42:03
Speaker 2: and support their development journey. But providing financial opportunity, assisting
• 42:07
Speaker 2: with training, mentorship and development, including access to facilities, ring training,
• 42:11
Speaker 2: athletic trainers, and more.
• 42:13
Speaker 3: A couple of these promotions include.
• 42:15
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey Bookert's Reality of Wrestling in Houston, Codey Roads,
• 42:18
Speaker 2: Diamar Factory in Atlanta, Seth Ronds, Black and Brave Academy
• 42:21
Speaker 2: in Davenport, Iowa, Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center in Concord
• 42:24
Speaker 2: in New Hampshire, and Knox Pro Wrestling in Los Angeles.
• 42:28
Speaker 2: Gabe Suppole Scully part of those overseeing the WID program.
• 42:32
Speaker 2: This is a pretty cool program, Doctor Trade. This is
• 42:34
Speaker 2: something that I never thought WWE would do. Your thoughts
• 42:37
Speaker 2: on this big change that is going on within World
• 42:39
  Speaker 2: Wrestling Entertainment.
• 42:41
Speaker 4: I think it's great for a lot of the reasons.
• 42:44
Speaker 4: One is, you know, for a while w B had
• 42:47
Speaker 4: had put out needing. This is under Vince that you know,
• 42:49
Speaker 4: they weren't looking for independent talent. They wanted just athletes
• 42:52
Speaker 4: and you know, fitness models and things like that that
• 42:56
Speaker 4: they could train. You know, They're like they had that
• 43:00
Speaker 4: indie wrestlers had bad habits and it was hard to
• 43:02
Speaker 4: break those bad habits to fit in WB. This is
• 43:06
Speaker 4: great because now they're going, Hey, we do recognize that
• 43:09
Speaker 4: there is a lot of talent on the independent wrestling scene,
• 43:12
Speaker 4: and if we can help find those guys that have
• 43:15
Speaker 4: a passion for this business and help them bring them along,
• 43:20
Speaker 4: that's great. I think one of the things they're realizing
• 43:22
Speaker 4: is a lot of these former college athletes don't have
• 43:26
Speaker 4: a passion for wrestling, so they don't really try. I
• 43:29
Speaker 4: almost I'm not knocking a lot of all of them,
• 43:32
Speaker 4: but there are some like they just don't have that
• 43:34
Speaker 4: passion for the business. And you're investing a lot of
• 43:37
Speaker 4: time and energy and money into people that maybe don't
• 43:40
Speaker 4: even like wrestling all that much. They're just doing it
• 43:43
Speaker 4: for a job. If you're finding guys who are coming
• 43:45
Speaker 4: up through these schools, obviously they have a passion for
• 43:49
Speaker 4: this and if we can help help move them along
• 43:53
Speaker 4: by financially backing them or something like that, you know,
• 43:56
Speaker 4: something like that, it's good for everybody involved. It's also
• 43:59
Speaker 4: good for independent rests because it throws it out there, like, hey,
• 44:01
Speaker 4: that there actually is kind of a path to get
• 44:05
Speaker 4: to where you want to go. There's so many guys
• 44:07
Speaker 4: that get into wrestling and they never get seen or
• 44:11
Speaker 4: they don't know what to do, or they take they
• 44:13
Speaker 4: start following the wrong guys and guys who are super
• 44:18
Speaker 4: talented and should be on a bigger platform and just
• 44:21
Speaker 4: never get there. So I'm really happy about it. I
• 44:25
Speaker 4: am a little surprised that there's a couple of schools
• 44:28
Speaker 4: that didn't get picked, but this isn't unheard of. Like
• 44:31
Speaker 4: we have Rocket City has an affiliation with Ohio Value
• 44:35
Speaker 4: Wrestling and al snow like our school is certified as
• 44:39
Speaker 4: an Ohio Valley Wrestling School, Certified Training Institution. I was
• 44:43
Speaker 4: surprised that Ohio Valley Wrestling wasn't one that got picked.
• 44:47
Speaker 4: I was surprised that the Monster Factory in New Jersey,
• 44:50
Speaker 4: where so many guys have come out of, including Damian Priest,
• 44:53
Speaker 4: wasn't selected. Jacob's Pritchard Academy in Tennessee where doctor Tom
• 45:00
Speaker 4: and Glenn Jacobs run that school. So there's a few
• 45:02
Speaker 4: schools that weren't picked. It was kind of like, oh,
• 45:05
  Speaker 4: Seth's got a Seth's got a school, We're gonna certify
• 45:08
Speaker 4: that one. Booker T's got a school. We're gonna certify
• 45:10
Speaker 4: that one. Knox Pro's run by Rakishi, Well his boys
• 45:13
Speaker 4: are here, get certified. It was kind of a little
• 45:16
Speaker 4: bit of nepotism in a way as to who got selected,
• 45:21
Speaker 4: so to speak. But there's a lot of great schools
• 45:24
Speaker 4: out there and I'm sure at some point they will
• 45:26
Speaker 4: be added into the mix of you know, certified w
• 45:30
  Speaker 4: w i D schools.
• 45:32
Speaker 2: According to WWE, they will be announcing and revealing the
• 45:35
Speaker 2: first wrestler in this ID program this weekend during Booker
• 45:38
Speaker 2: T's Reality of Wrestling event. So more on that as
• 45:43
Speaker 2: we get some more information and get the first wrestler
• 45:47
Speaker 2: under the in the books as a member of the
• 45:50
Speaker 2: w i D Wrestling program now as they are now
• 45:53
Speaker 2: branching out to independent wrestling, switching gears a bit here,
• 45:57
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey some unfortunate new Last year was a massive
• 46:03
Speaker 2: year for Ria Ripley. This year has been nothing but
• 46:06
Speaker 2: injury written a year for Rio Ripley, as they ran
• 46:11
Speaker 2: an angle on NXC television last week where she was
• 46:14
Speaker 2: taken out on the parking lot of course by Live
• 46:16
Speaker 2: Morgan and Roquel Rodriguez has a broken orbital bone.
• 46:20
Speaker 3: That injury is legit. It wasn't legit from the parking
• 46:24
  Speaker 3: lot problem.
• 46:25
Speaker 2: It was a way to cover it up, according to reports,
• 46:27
Speaker 2: to believe is that Rio Ripley's injury likely happened in
• 46:30
Speaker 2: a headbutt spot in when she front of Live Morgan
• 46:33
Speaker 2: and Raquel Rodriguez on the October twenty first edition w RAW.
• 46:36
Speaker 2: She is out for an indefinite amount of time, Doctor Trey,
• 46:40
Speaker 2: This has just been kind of an unfortunate year for
• 46:42
  Speaker 2: Ria Ripley.
• 46:43
Speaker 3: Your thoughts is one of the best is now on
• 46:45
Speaker 3: the shelf for a little bit of time.
• 46:47
Speaker 4: Yeah, it sucks for her. I mean, she's arguably the
• 46:50
Speaker 4: best female wrestler on the planet as far as like
• 46:53
Speaker 4: overall entertainer type person. It just it's reminiscent of you've
• 47:00
Speaker 4: gone through this, like being a Yankees fan, being a
• 47:02
Speaker 4: Packers fan. You get that player that has an awesome year,
• 47:05
Speaker 4: wins the MVP, and the next year they just have
• 47:08
Speaker 4: the worst luck. I dealt with that this year being
• 47:12
Speaker 4: a Cubs fan. Cody Bellinger, great season last year, this
• 47:16
Speaker 4: season hurt almost the entire season. It just sucks because
• 47:20
Speaker 4: you know what their potential is. You know they're capable
• 47:22
Speaker 4: of doing, but they just have fluke injuries the entire year.
• 47:25
Speaker 4: So it also has because you know, when you're hot,
• 47:29
Speaker 4: you basically burn the candle at both ends and you're
• 47:32
Speaker 4: just going one hundred miles an hour and you don't
• 47:35
Speaker 4: take as good of care as of your body getting
• 47:38
Speaker 4: rest that it needs. But you know, orbital bone, fluke injury.
• 47:42
Speaker 4: The shoulder injury was a fluke injury. It's all flucus injuries.
• 47:45
Speaker 4: I will say the NXT Beatdown spot looked gruesome. They
• 47:50
Speaker 4: they did a good job of selling that. She got
• 47:53
Speaker 4: what I mean, the blood like that, a little bit
• 47:54
Speaker 4: of blood that just they did a great job of
• 47:57
Speaker 4: selling that angle because it had me buying into it
• 47:59
Speaker 4: for a moment. But just sucks for Ria. It sucks
• 48:02
Speaker 4: for you know, WWE, because this is your money star
• 48:06
Speaker 4: and she's gonna be out for a little while. So
• 48:08
Speaker 4: I think that's also why you saw the to me,
• 48:10
Speaker 4: the elevation of Live Morgan into that feature spot at
• 48:14
  Speaker 4: Crown Jewel. Yeah.
• 48:16
Speaker 2: I immediately when you were going through there, I thought
• 48:17
Speaker 2: you were gonna say, Christian McCaffrey that too.
• 48:20
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 48:20
  Speaker 2: So I mean there's always that that's a great comparison.
• 48:23
Speaker 2: Seeing her on the shelf is never good because she's
• 48:26
Speaker 2: one of the best. So it is just one of
• 48:28
Speaker 2: those years for the career of one of the best
• 48:31
Speaker 2: in the business Ria Ripley, and hopefully she is back
• 48:34
Speaker 2: sooner rather than later. But from what I'm gathering it
• 48:37
Speaker 2: would I would assume that she's probably done from an
• 48:41
Speaker 2: anwering standpoint for the rest of twenty twenty four, and
• 48:44
Speaker 2: hopefully she'll be back for at least.
• 48:46
Speaker 3: A Rumble in twenty twenty five.
• 48:48
Speaker 2: Because I guess the good thing in this Doctor Trey
• 48:50
Speaker 2: is this lived Morgan Rea Ripley feud went from something
• 48:53
Speaker 2: that could be ending it let's say war Games or
• 48:56
Speaker 2: maybe you know, ending at Saturday Night's main event.
• 48:59
Speaker 3: Or early in the year.
• 49:01
Speaker 2: I think with this injury, Live Morgan versus Ria Ripley
• 49:04
Speaker 2: could definitely be a match that we see at WrestleMania now, especially.
• 49:09
Speaker 4: If you have a returning Ria Ripley at the Rumble
• 49:12
Speaker 4: and she wins the Rumble to cash in and live
• 49:14
Speaker 4: at Wrestlemanian. So timeline wise, it works for WWE, it
• 49:18
Speaker 4: just sucks for her and the company as a whole,
• 49:20
Speaker 4: because I mean, she's one of the top merchandise sellers.
• 49:23
Speaker 4: She's one of the nicest people too, Like everybody I
• 49:26
Speaker 4: know that's had an interaction with her, like at a
• 49:28
Speaker 4: autograph signing or something that She's just so likable and
• 49:31
Speaker 4: so much fun to be around. It just sucks on
• 49:34
Speaker 4: that end, but yeah, you can run this angle all
• 49:37
Speaker 4: the way to WrestleMania now if she comes back at
• 49:39
  Speaker 4: the Rumble.
• 49:40
Speaker 3: Trying to find some silver linings here for Ria Ripley.
• 49:43
Speaker 2: And then the last thing I want to talk about
• 49:45
Speaker 2: in this week's show, Doctor Trey Goldberg announced during his
• 49:47
Speaker 2: appearance on the SEC Networks pregame show for college football
• 49:51
Speaker 2: last weekend that he will be having this retirement match
• 49:54
Speaker 2: in twenty twenty five in World Wrestling Entertainment.
• 49:57
Speaker 3: In WE, he will be back for one match.
• 50:00
Speaker 2: It'll be the first time he'll be wrestling since twenty
• 50:02
Speaker 2: twenty two, which was in Crown Jewel.
• 50:05
Speaker 3: There have been a lot of rumblings. He had some
• 50:06
Speaker 3: discussions with AW. He was mad with WWE.
• 50:09
Speaker 2: There was a retirement tour that was supposed to be
• 50:11
Speaker 2: going I think over in I most like Israel. At
• 50:15
Speaker 2: some point I felt like it was overseas that he
• 50:17
Speaker 2: was going to be doing a tour. All that has
• 50:19
Speaker 2: not come to fruition. He is ending it in w
• 50:23
Speaker 2: WE in twenty twenty five. Everything is pointing towards a
• 50:26
Speaker 2: match with gun Third. There are folks that are thinking
• 50:28
Speaker 2: that this is going to be taking a place at WrestleMania.
• 50:31
Speaker 2: I would love to see them do it in Atlanta, Georgia,
• 50:34
Speaker 2: maybe the Georgia Dome for old time sake. He is
• 50:37
Speaker 2: an enigma, doctor Trey. He is somebody that is often
• 50:40
Speaker 2: debated in his time in professional wrestling. There have been
• 50:43
Speaker 2: times that you and I have absolutely loved when he
• 50:45
Speaker 2: is back in wrestling. There have been times that you
• 50:47
Speaker 2: and I have been deathly afraid that he's becoming a
• 50:50
Speaker 2: world champion during his return to professional wrestling. Your thoughts
• 50:54
Speaker 2: here is Goldberg will be announce his retirement match for
• 50:56
  Speaker 2: twenty twenty five.
• 50:58
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean good for him. I mean to be
• 51:01
Speaker 4: a wrestler and to be able to have a retirement
• 51:03
Speaker 4: match and to be able to kind of go off
• 51:05
Speaker 4: on your own terms. You know, it's great. And it's
• 51:08
Speaker 4: funny because you know, I remember when he came back
• 51:10
Speaker 4: the last time, and you saw and he came back
• 51:12
Speaker 4: for the sake, you know, because his son had never
• 51:14
Speaker 4: really seen him wrestle, and you got that little bit
• 51:16
Speaker 4: a gauge Goldberg run. And now Gage is playing football
• 51:20
Speaker 4: at Colorado for Dion Sanders. Just shows you like, like
• 51:23
Speaker 4: how this whole thing plays out. So like, I'm happy
• 51:26
Speaker 4: he's gonn get a shot. I would love to see him.
• 51:28
Speaker 4: This is crazy, Jeff, You're You're not gonna even want
• 51:30
Speaker 4: to say this. I want Goldberg to win the w
• 51:33
Speaker 4: W Championship. I want him to beat Gunther. Because he wins,
• 51:38
Speaker 4: he retires, they vacate the title, and we get a
• 51:42
  Speaker 4: tournament to crown.
• 51:43
  Speaker 3: A new w W champion with a tournament.
• 51:47
Speaker 4: Yes, I want to see a wrestle We have not
• 51:51
Speaker 4: had a WrestleMania world title tournaments. Is WrestleMania three so
• 51:57
Speaker 4: it was a three or four I think it.
• 51:58
Speaker 3: Was three Survivor Series ninety eight.
• 52:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so but WrestleMania season, if he has the
• 52:05
Speaker 4: Magic Royal Rumble, wins, the title, vacates it. You have
• 52:09
Speaker 4: this tournament WrestleMania, you have Night one, be the entire tournament.
• 52:14
Speaker 4: There you go, and I know how much you love tournament.
• 52:17
Speaker 4: So this that was an incomplete enticing of you getting
• 52:21
Speaker 4: on board with Goldberg win the world title.
• 52:23
  Speaker 3: I can't see that happening.
• 52:27
Speaker 2: I don't even know if he should defeat I mean,
• 52:29
Speaker 2: everybody knows it's gonna be Gunther Part in any changes.
• 52:32
Speaker 2: I don't even know if he should defeat Guntherro Doctor.
• 52:34
Speaker 4: Trey Well, what if it comes out to real American?
• 52:39
Speaker 3: If Goldberg comes out to Hulkogan's theme song.
• 52:42
  Speaker 4: Yes, I mean it's a real American against a guy
• 52:44
  Speaker 4: from Austria.
• 52:45
Speaker 3: I mean, now you're getting be crazy, my friend, Now
• 52:47
  Speaker 3: you're getting crazy. I don't know. I'm happy for him.
• 52:51
Speaker 2: I mean we're gonna be entering twenty twenty five with
• 52:53
Speaker 2: retirement tour, not only for John Cena, but a retirement
• 52:56
  Speaker 2: match for Goldberg.
• 52:57
Speaker 3: I mean, this is closing the book on our parts
• 53:00
  Speaker 3: of our childhood.
• 53:01
Speaker 4: Doctor Trey Well, I mean Goldberg would be the end
• 53:04
Speaker 4: of the Attitude era for us.
• 53:05
Speaker 3: The w CW folks just cringed when you said that.
• 53:11
Speaker 4: I know, I know, but that it's it's what it is.
• 53:13
Speaker 4: It's the close. I mean that he's the He would
• 53:15
Speaker 4: be the last real I don't only say active because
• 53:18
Speaker 4: he hasn't wrestled in three years, but he's the last
• 53:21
Speaker 4: link to that timeline really that still can compete in
• 53:24
Speaker 4: the ring. Everybody else is gone. So and then Seena
• 53:29
Speaker 4: is the like Sina is kind of like one of
• 53:31
Speaker 4: the last people from the ruthless aggression area. You got
• 53:34
Speaker 4: Orton and Mysterio and you know Edge if you guys
• 53:37
Speaker 4: linger around but Sina, that'd be kind of closing the
• 53:40
Speaker 4: chapter on the the focal point of the ruthless aggression era.
• 53:43
Speaker 4: So we're I don't know what the next what era
• 53:45
Speaker 4: we're in to attitude, ruthless aggression. I don't know what
• 53:49
Speaker 4: the next era was after that.
• 53:53
  Speaker 3: PG era.
• 53:55
  Speaker 4: Run with.
• 53:55
Speaker 2: I mean, there were so many start stops. This is
• 53:57
Speaker 2: the new era of w WI. They tried doing that
• 53:59
Speaker 2: multiple multiple times. Yeah, No, I mean, I'm happy for him.
• 54:02
Speaker 2: I'm happy it's going to be under the WI and brother.
• 54:04
Speaker 2: I think that's the right way to go about and
• 54:06
Speaker 2: I think and I'm happy that WWE is giving him
• 54:08
  Speaker 2: this opportunity.
• 54:09
  Speaker 3: So he's a bit of an enigma. I'm a fan
• 54:12
  Speaker 3: of Bill Goldberg.
• 54:13
Speaker 2: I'm happy that he's going out the way that he
• 54:14
Speaker 2: wants because he certainly deserves that. So more on that
• 54:17
Speaker 2: as we get more details for twenty twenty five. With
• 54:21
Speaker 2: that said, let's get a couple plugs and spots of
• 54:23
Speaker 2: the way we close up shop on this week's edition

Speaker 4: kid you see bouncing around the ring might become the
• 55:16
Speaker 4: next prospect for WWE. And also, Jeff, I just realized
• 55:20
Speaker 4: now I have to go home and play NCA twenty
• 55:21
Speaker 4: four because I have to see if Gage Goldberg is
• 55:24
Speaker 4: in the game. I forgot to look for that.

  Speaker 3: In there.
• 55:27
Speaker 2: You got to go check out the depth chart, and

Speaker 2: Would that being said, thank you for downloading, thank you
• 55:38

• 55:41
Speaker 2: a little bit of struggle for my voice.

Speaker 2: Crappy for everybody's ear holes, but I appreciate everybody downloading

• 55:58
Speaker 2: Troy Franklin, I am Jeff Pack. This has been the
• 56:01
Speaker 2: sort of I shall
