  He's at Victory Church in Belfast, and he's lead pastor there.

  He's got a degree in modern history from Queens University, Belfast, and also he's got

  a love for Christian apologetics.

  Well, it's interesting about his bio.

  He's a former professional kickboxing champion and master in the art of Juditsu with seventh
• 0:52
  degree black belt, Hall of Fame inductions, and lots of titles and awards.

  And that's interesting because he likes to focus and teach on spiritual warfare.

  So this guy's a fighter, the good fight of faith.

  We love it.

  Victory Church also, though, has on its premises a martial art studio helping bullied children.

  I love that.

  We'll talk a little bit more about that.

  And he also birthed Victory Street Church, which equips others to go out to the streets and

  preach and teach and feed those in need.
• 1:24
  So about four years ago, Pastor Gary and his wife, Kelly, started a small food bank in
• 1:30
  the East Belfast area to help those struggling.
• 1:33
  And we'll let him talk about that as well.
• 1:35
  I think that's part of the work of the church, right?
• 1:37
  Make disciples.
• 1:38
  Share the gospel, equip the saints, feed the hungry and on and on and on.
• 1:41
  He's the father of five children.
• 1:43
  And the blessing of that is they all love Jesus.

  Pastor Gary McKibben, thank you so much for being on World View Matters, brother.

  Thank you for having me.

  Well, we want to blame Pete Garcia for this introduction because I reached out to him.

  I said, how can I get hold of Gary McKibben?

  So you guys do videos together.

  In fact, you just did one the other day.

  The prophetic outlook, you know, you focus on that quite a bit.
• 2:08
  We'll get to that minute, Gary.
• 2:09
  But let's talk about your church, Victory Church.
• 2:12
  And then we'll talk more about your background.
• 2:14
  How long ago did you start the church?
• 2:16
  And I just tell us whatever you'd like about Victory.
• 2:20
  Yeah, we started eight years ago, initially before that, we were running house groups and different things like that.
• 2:30
  Then we had a train to be a pastor and we decided to just go for it.
• 2:35
  We didn't have premises.
• 2:36
  We didn't have financial backing.
• 2:39
  So what we did is I had a gym.
• 2:42
  We cornered off and built a room for the church within the gym.
• 2:46
  And then we moved premises later on and have our own sort of, I guess, more sectioned off part for that.
• 2:54
  Now, the church itself has an absolute heart for taking the entirety of the Bible,
• 3:02
  teaching all of the Bible from start to finish.
• 3:05
  And that's what we do through our Bible study.
• 3:07
  We, again, like you mentioned, we have a street church where we go out and we went this to the homeless.
• 3:15
  We, it's all about equipping the saints.
• 3:18
  That's kind of our heart and our modus operanda that we, we don't want pew sitters.
• 3:23
  We don't want people just to come for the sake of attendance.
• 3:26
  We want to build them up in the word.
• 3:28
  Yeah, we focus very heavily on eschatology.
• 3:33
  It's kind of the heart behind the church is that we, I guess in these days and these loud as same days,
• 3:41
  we do not want to be classed as part of the loudest scene section.
• 3:45
  We want to be purely the church of Philadelphia, faithful and all we do and faithful to his name and faithful to his word.
• 3:54
  And so, yeah, that the church is, it's growing.
• 4:00
  We have, like I said, we've got, we've got people out in the street last week.
• 4:05
  Was some Patrick's Day.
• 4:07
  So there's a parade going on in the middle of time and art, our church is a mile from the city center.
• 4:14
  And it was going on at the same time as the church is on.
• 4:16
  So we had a team might witness and then pray with people on the street and it's a church that is active.
• 4:25
  And that's the heart behind it.
• 4:27
  Well, you had me at preaching the whole council of God.
• 4:31
  And Gary, we need you in America because talk about the leo, the lukewarm leo to see in church.
• 4:38
  Not every church, but you know, there's, I would even say it's the majority, sadly, has become seeker sensitive.
• 4:45
  And I don't know what the percentages that do not tackle Bible prophecy.
• 4:51
  The saints are not being equipped.
• 4:53
  And by the way, in Ireland, what's the spiritual, like in the environment, like what's the temperature of the church there?
• 5:00
  I've talked to Pastor Dean Dwyer and others in Australia.
• 5:04
  And what's it like in Ireland as far as hot with a percentage of real biblical Christians and secularism go ahead?
• 5:13
  Yeah, it's hard to break down into percentages.
• 5:19
  And I know that there are other remnant pastors right there, but it is hard.
• 5:25
  And I remember talking to Brandon Holtz, excuse me, Brandon Holtz, about this.
• 5:31
  That it was nice to connect with him because you feel kind of isolated.
• 5:36
  You feel kind of sort of restricted because you're teaching eschatology, because you're teaching the book of revelation.
• 5:44
  And because you're calling things that are happening and teaching the knowledge word of God.
• 5:51
  I know as a church, we find other churches, distance themselves from us for that very.
• 5:56
  Well, I assume it's for that very reason.
• 5:59
  And I remember telling Brandon a story about an individual who, another pastor here, I was sitting having coffee with.
• 6:08
  And he said, yeah, I'm on with you 100%.
• 6:13
  I agree, eschatology, we've got to teach the end times, we've got to equip the saints.
• 6:19
  And I said, great, we're having a night of prophecy.
• 6:23
  Bring some of your congregation down and we'll make room for them.
• 6:26
  And his response was, no, they're not ready for that.
• 6:30
  And I guess for me, that kind of sums up the spiritual temperature here.
• 6:35
  There's a remnant who are hungry for the word of God, but there's quite a lot of apostasy growing.
• 6:42
  And there's quite a lot of wickedness, sort of permeate into the body of Christ.
• 6:48
  Everything from LGBTQ agenda to the likes of replacement theology to, I guess, capitulating to state over God.
• 7:01
  And we saw that very heavily through the pandemic.
• 7:04
  And you know, there was, I know that again, like, where's the church?
• 7:09
  We had the authorities, we had the police at our doors because we were open.
• 7:15
  And it was kind of that sort of, for me, that was a dividing point in the body,
• 7:22
  where you start to see the body that wants to sort of go with the state
• 7:26
  and the body that wants to, not if her purpose is resisting the state,
• 7:31
  but want to stay true to the word of God.
• 7:34
  And it's very reminiscent of history, you know, 160 of BC,
• 7:37
  you had anti-occupiphanies, an anti-Christ figure,
• 7:42
  back in dawn to Jerusalem by Hellenistic Jews who were in conflict with Hebrew-believing Jews,
• 7:49
  you know, Jews who were divided by the Torah.
• 7:52
  And they were back in dawn by these Hellenistic Jews who wanted to embrace the culture.
• 7:56
  And I think very much nine days were living in a time in which there's two churches in existence.
• 8:02
  There's those who want to embrace and fully be subservient to the culture
• 8:07
  and those who want to remain true to the word of God and the spirit of God.
• 8:12
  Amen, brother.
• 8:14
  You know, it sounds so much like the American church, what you were describing.
• 8:17
  And it is really sad once you start, you expect things out in the world,
• 8:21
  but once you start seeing things infiltrate the church and worldly agendas and ideologies,
• 8:28
  it's just a head scratcher.
• 8:29
  But anyway, in your bio on your church website, I love this.
• 8:35
  You say, God has been amazing to us on a continual basis.
• 8:38
  Not only has he healed me of a broken back once, but twice when I attempted to come out of retirement as a fighter.
• 8:46
  And then you say he healed my son after a terrible third degree burn accident that should have left him scarred.
• 8:52
  And he has brought us as a family through every trial and given us a testimony each and every time our God is mighty to be praised.
• 9:04
  So Pastor Gary, before we go on and talk more about Bible prophecy and other things,
• 9:09
  that's a very important issue.
• 9:11
  People deal with trials.
• 9:12
  We all go through trials.
• 9:13
  Some people more severe health trials and others accidents and other things.
• 9:18
  And that's what really important what you said, God, he gets us through every time.
• 9:24
  We just have to trust him, but it's not always fun.
• 9:27
  And it's hard to consider that a joy when we're going through it.
• 9:29
  Tell us a little bit about that.
• 9:32
  Yeah, well, the story of me breaking my back the first time was because I was full of pride.
• 9:41
  I was running up a wall back summer salting for a class that I was teaching.
• 9:46
  And I knew I hurt myself the first time and still they were cheering for me to do it again.
• 9:52
  So I did it again.
• 9:53
  And I was putting a wheelchair after that.
• 9:56
  And was in a sort of between a wheelchair and walk and sticks for about a year and a half.
• 10:02
  Wow.
• 10:03
  And during all that, my marriage broke down.
• 10:08
  My wife left me and you know, this is when everything sort of went right down the pond.
• 10:16
  And you know, everything in my life, Christ.
• 10:19
  But what it taught me at the time was that I went and actually I would never change any
• 10:25
  of it for anything because it took me from that stage of having had knowledge about the
• 10:32
  Bible, but not really walking and telling them and in lockstep with our Lord to actually
• 10:38
  only be independent on him.
• 10:40
  And you know, in the Hebrews 1226, it talks about a time of great shaking.
• 10:45
  It talks about when the heavens will be shaken and the earth will be shaken.
• 10:49
  But what we're to hold on to is that which is permanent.
• 10:53
  And I learned this in the midst of that.
• 10:55
  And I remember, you know, he healed my back, but my marriage was still broken.
• 11:01
  You know, my wife was living around the corner.
• 11:04
  She was living in a different house.
• 11:05
  She didn't want anything to do with me.
• 11:08
  At this point, she was not saved.
• 11:12
  We were unequally yoked and not by intention because I got saved on my wedding night, which
• 11:18
  is all in the sense.
• 11:21
  But then she saw me getting this sort of true relationship, the only way to put a true
• 11:28
  in-depth relationship with Jesus.
• 11:31
  And she turned to me and it was actually funny enough, it was six years to the day of
• 11:37
  the time I got saved on wedding night.
• 11:39
  And she asked me up and we talked and she asked to have what I had or who I had.
• 11:46
  So I got the privilege of leaner to the Lord then.
• 11:48
  Wow.
• 11:49
  What I'm saying is that the enemy will throw everything in the kitchen, sink, got you.
• 11:54
  But if you keep holding on to Jesus, he's going to bring you through and bring you through
• 11:59
  better.
• 12:00
  You know, in my experience, it doesn't mean that all things get fixed in a worldly sense.
• 12:04
  But, you know, you end up gaining that relationship and C.S. Lewis puts it, I'm sure I will twist
• 12:13
  this or miss up this quote, but in our pleasure, he says, God, whispers, and in our pain,
• 12:22
  he uses a megaphone and it's always seems to be in those low moments in which you gain
• 12:27
  that true in-depth relationship with Jesus and it's led me through and it's also like
• 12:32
  you pointed on before, you know, I do focus in on spiritual warfare and strategy.
• 12:39
  I think that's a mix between my martial arts training and my martial arts days and even
• 12:44
  training other world champions, you know, just being able to decipher what's happening
• 12:49
  and what's coming against them.
• 12:51
  But you've taken that in the sense of spiritual attack, understanding that there's nothing
• 12:56
  new under the sun and every spiritual attack works off the same pattern, whether corporately
• 13:01
  in the world right now or whether in a personal basis.
• 13:05

  How does that work?

  I know a lot of people do it outside of churches and work with other people that run food
• 14:18
  banks, but not a lot of churches do it within their own church.
• 14:22
  So tell us about how that works.
• 14:24
  Yeah, well, we set that up during the pandemic.
• 14:29
  And it was one of the things that we noticed that quite a lot of people were actually struggling.
• 14:33
  You know, they were struggling financially.
• 14:35
  They were struggling to make ends meet, but also to feed their families.
• 14:40
  So what we have done is we've sectioned off a part, like a few store rooms within our
• 14:46
  premises and it purely works through donations.
• 14:50
  So what we have and the idea behind what we originally called it was the Agabas store.
• 14:56
  So Agabas was the prophet in Acts 11 and in Acts 21 and he's the one who tells the church
• 15:02
  that a great famine is coming upon the land upon the Roman Empire and it was the biggest
• 15:07
  famine the Roman Empire ever saw.
• 15:10
  And in history, Josephus writes that it was actually the church that stood up and were
• 15:15
  kind to they were the ones that fed those that were struggling those that were hungry.
• 15:19
  So that was the heart behind it.
• 15:21
  And this is what we, like I said, we don't believe in puest settings.
• 15:25
  So anything we can do to activate the body we will do.
• 15:30
  So on your website, biblical prophecy, convergence, is that a conference or what is what's going
• 15:37
  on with that?

  So what we do, we know that, you know, other people are in other churches and sometimes
• 15:46
  those churches don't focus in on eschatology.
• 15:49
  So we like to put evenings together where myself and usually it's a few of the other
• 15:55
  leadership team will get up and speak and we'll break down certain facets of scripture.

  So the last one we done there, we went through 42 prophetic convergences.
• 16:10
  We looked at how they're all sort of happening right now, how they're happening in the last
• 16:13
  few years, how we're starting at a time right now that is unprecedented, that everything
• 16:20
  is, you know, we take the prophecies in the Bible, we take the all of it this course.
• 16:25
  We see the base system being set up in front of us right now.
• 16:29
  We see the spiritual atmosphere being terraformed into lawlessness for the emergence of the
• 16:36
  lawless one.
• 16:37
  So we like to equip this and what we have is people come from other churches.
• 16:42
  They sit there for a few hours, they go away equipped and analyze them to go back to
• 16:46
  where they are planted and still be fed in the eschatology sense and still be warned
• 16:54
  as a watchman should be warned.

  One of the things that we would love to see in America is more churches working together,

  but boy, that's just so hard.

  We seem just so splintered and fragmented, I don't know if it's like that in Ireland

  as well.

  It's kind of hard when you've got churches that are like the remnant churches, the sound
• 17:14
  doctrine, prophecy, the whole council of God, spiritual warfare, confronting evil in
• 17:21
  our culture, you know, and everything that the church is supposed to do in some churches
• 17:24
  just kind of want to play church.
• 17:26
  Does that make sense?

  And the secret sensitive ones, anyway, I don't want to go down that rabbit hole too much,

  When you sent me that email last night, brother, I just, my spirit shouted.

  I didn't shout out loud, but I said, yes, I mean, this has to be talked about because
• 18:47
  I sent you back a brief reply that we have this idea, not, I don't know who we is, but
• 18:53
  I think a lot of believers have this idea that the church has got to be on defense because
• 18:59
  we're being assaulted.
• 19:00
  The biblical worldview is under attack.
• 19:02
  Israel is under attack.
• 19:04
  The true church is under attack.
• 19:05
  And Christians are and the pro-life movement is, but the Bible says something about putting
• 19:11
  up the whole armor of God using the sword of the spirit, which is our offensive weapon.
• 19:16
  And also, what's this concept of storming the gates of hell, gates are defensive.
• 19:21
  So break this down and talk to us about your new book, Gary.
• 19:26
  Well, the, the way we think about it in Matthew 16, 18, Jesus gives a, it reveals the prophecy,
• 19:32
  the prophecy is revealed, or the revelation is revealed to Peter of who Jesus is.
• 19:36
  And on Paul, not the church is built, and he says the gates of hell, talking about
• 19:40
  standing front of the key of the palm, the gates of hell shall not prevail against his church.
• 19:45
  Now, the only way the gates could prevail are for the gates to crack open.
• 19:49
  And now the gates won't fully open until the time of the translation, but there are points
• 19:55
  within history in which we see destruction and devastation come across the world.
• 20:00
  If we were to take what represents spiritually destruction, it would be the fallen angel,
• 20:06
  Abadon of Revelation chapter 9, and he is known as the destroyer.
• 20:11
  And when we look at this, I believe that there is a mark.
• 20:15
  You can see the cracking of the gates of hell in terms of the atmosphere
• 20:21
  being changed into kind of a hellscape, lawlessness increasing, wickedness increasing.
• 20:26
  What Jesus talks about now, all of a discourse, the growth of deception, the pestilence and disease,
• 20:32
  all of these are signs of the cracking of the gates.
• 20:35
  Now, the gates of hell will only swing open when the church, the restrainer,
• 20:39
  the Holy Spirit filled church, who are supposed to be salt and light, guardians of the gate,
• 20:44
  are removed. But there are times in history in which we have seen more destruction come on
• 20:50
  the same. And one of the things that I noticed is this has always been in terms of, I guess if you
• 20:57
  took a satanic approach to this, if you were talking about a spiritual attack, there are people
• 21:03
  of honor right now who are satanically minded. If we went back, for instance, and if you don't mind,
• 21:10
  do this in about a minute, if you dress up, I'll give you the powder. In 1907, you had
• 21:17
  Alistair Crowley, the father of modern satanism. And he in 1907 had a summoning ceremony.
• 21:26
  And the whole point of the summoning ceremony was to some who he called, or to someone who he
• 21:31
  called the angel of the deep, or the demon of the abyss. Now, the revelation chapter 9,
• 21:38
  John identifies that as Abadon, the destroyer. Now, what happens is he claims that he defeated
• 21:44
  this angel in all of this. Absolute nonsense. Complete another, you know, ego, my trip in all of
• 21:52
  this. But seven years later, seven years after this, World War One, break sight, devastation across
• 21:59
  the world. Then we go to 1933. And in 1933, Hitt Adolf Hitler has a summoning ceremony with his
• 22:09
  satanic influencer, Hannusson, and Hannusson, and then do the summoning ceremony. And what happens
• 22:15
  is six years later, you get World War Two, you can already see a powder, seven, six. Then you go
• 22:22
  to 1996. And we know in your country that it was already exposed that Hillary Clinton performed a
• 22:32
  summoning ceremony and had an occult summoning ceremony within the White House. Then we go seven,
• 22:38
  six, five years later, from 1996 is 2001 and 9, 11 happens. So when I'm talking about his
• 22:45
  devastation destruction coming across the world. So we've got seven years, 1907 to 1914,
• 22:52
  six years, 1933 to 1939, five years, 1996 to 2001. In 2016,
• 23:01
  Surn opened, and they had this massive occult ceremony. And again, it's called a pot that is
• 23:10
  based on the old village of Apollion, the temple of Apollion. And what happens four years later
• 23:17
  than from that is the pandemic 2020. So you've got seven, six, five, four. Then in 2022,
• 23:26
  you had the commonwealth games. And they had an open and ceremony where they brought
• 23:31
  the ball worship to the media screens to the screen to the world. So three years later,
• 23:38
  2025. No, I'm not, you know, dead centers with rapture. And I don't believe in any of that.
• 23:44
  But I do believe that there is a satanic attempt to try and crack open the gates and cause more
• 23:50
  destruction. And you've got things like global governance 2025. You've got the idea of,
• 23:56
  you know, World War Three being floated around, conscription being talked about in the UK.

  All of these things and 2025, I personally believe will mark a time in which you will see an
• 24:09
  increase of destruction. And it'll be worldwide. But I think that the whole point to this is in
• 24:16
  each one of those, there's been a passivity that has happened in terms of the church. And
• 24:23
  pre-World War One, there was the growth of the new Romantics, there's the growth of Satanism
• 24:27
  as a world view, Madem Blavatsky and all of this. Then you get to World War Two. When World War Two
• 24:35
  happened, one of the things that Bonhoeffer quotes for the Holocaust being allowed was
• 24:40
  cheap grace within the church. Yeah. You know, when we get to 1996, when he gets to 2016,
• 24:48
  you can see that that that that Christianity has been removed from the schools,
• 24:53
  prayers been removed from the classroom. It's been removed from the business, please. It's been
• 24:57
  removed from the marketplace. You can't talk about it. People are trying to restrict you.
• 25:02
  And the thing is, is that we are not meant to be silent and we are supposed to stand up and be
• 25:08
  counted. We are called into the kingdom and we're called as kingdom warriors. And as such,
• 25:14
  we've got to be aware of the strategy, but we've got to continue to be salt and light. So right now,
• 25:19
  you're seeing censorship laws all the way across the world. Increase Irish hate crime bill,
• 25:25
  Scottish hate crime bill, Canadian seethricks, 367, Australian bills, South African bills,
• 25:31
  all targeting the Christian to censor us and silence us. Yeah. Well, we've got to lie there.
• 25:38
  So sorry, I was slightly more than a minute. I try to do it fast.

  Oh my goodness, brother. This book sounds wonderful. I know you're still in the process of writing

  correct. And do you have a title for it? Yeah, it's called Guardians of the Gate. There it is.

  And the old point. Yeah. And the point to it again is for people to step into their role,

  there is no such thing in the book of acts as pure sitters. We are meant to occupy the space

  until we're removed. We're meant to be salt and light and restrainers. Oh my goodness.
