- 0:57Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Your favorite, Chris Frangiola,
- 1:01Speaker 1: is here. Welcome, Blue-Eyed Delight.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:04Speaker 1: How are you?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Very good. So excited to be back. Holiday season. You're
- 1:09Speaker 2: right in the midst of it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I have to say, holiday season, I'm a little surprised
- 1:13Speaker 1: because I feel you have changed with your success of
- 1:16Speaker 1: Cover to Cover.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh, why is that?
- 1:18Speaker 1: You have a Starbucks cup.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And not a 7-Eleven. What made you think that you
- 1:23Speaker 1: deserved Starbucks over the drip at 7-Eleven.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Well, the upside of 7-Eleven is you get to make
- 1:30Speaker 2: it yourself. No line, no problems. You just walk up.
- 1:34Speaker 2: And I don't know, you guys know, there are certain 7-Elevens,
- 1:37Speaker 2: good ones and bad ones. I moved to a new
- 1:39Speaker 2: neighborhood recently and the 7-Eleven by my house is not good.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah. I take my daughter a lot and as soon
- 1:45Speaker 2: as we walk in, she goes, it stinks in here.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And it's not, I just want you to know that
- 1:51Speaker 2: the stink is not, The 7-Eleven itself. It's not rotting
- 1:54Speaker 2: food or anything. It's the guy behind the cash register.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So I feel every time my daughter says it, I'm like,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I don't think he knows because if he did, he'd
- 2:02Speaker 2: probably take care of it. But anyway, so now I
- 2:05Speaker 2: got to go to Starbucks because I can't deal with
- 2:07Speaker 2: the stinky 7-Eleven.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Okay. Well, you know what? You know, I hope that
- 2:11Speaker 1: there's money for your daughter's college. Like, whatever. Get on
- 2:14Speaker 1: with your life.
- 2:14Speaker 2: By the way, this is the new Starbucks Holiday Cup.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I know every year it's a big issue. if it's going,
- 2:19Speaker 2: you know.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Oh, if it's going to be too, not Christmassy enough?
- 2:21Speaker 2: Not Christmassy enough, too Christmassy. But I think that's good.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Where's the crucifix?
- 2:27Speaker 2: I know. Well, that's what they want. You know, some
- 2:28Speaker 2: people say it's not Christian enough or whatever, but I
- 2:31Speaker 2: feel like that's okay.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It's red and green and pink. So that's a little
- 2:36Speaker 1: for everybody.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And did you know this right here, they put a
- 2:38Speaker 2: little thing for your name and what they're supposed to do,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I read, is they're trying to make Starbucks a little
- 2:44Speaker 2: more personal again.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And they're supposed to write a little caption, something fun
- 2:48Speaker 2: there for you, not just your name. And I'm like,
- 2:51Speaker 2: you think these people who– you've all seen the baristas
- 2:54Speaker 2: with the dirty smocks on.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Now they have to also like– Now they've.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Got to come up with a fun thing for me.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Which they'll probably have to do AI.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, right.
- 3:02Speaker 1: What's the fun thing to do? Like, hey, AI, I've
- 3:05Speaker 1: got a guy named Chris.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Write something on his.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, write something and it's like– Oh, holy night, Chris. Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Exactly. Yeah. So that's what they want them to do.
- 3:17Speaker 2: They want them to write something down.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I have enough to do, people. I know.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I know.
- 3:20Speaker 2: These poor people. Just let them.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Chris, what a weekend. Please tell me what you know
- 3:26Speaker 1: about there was a little fight that happened on Netflix.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Mike Tyson. So Mike Tyson, who's 58.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Played. Fought.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, fought him. Some people say played. If you watch
- 3:39Speaker 2: the fight, it was nothing much to it.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So everyone is saying, okay, so he played Jake Paul,
- 3:43Speaker 1: who's a YouTuber who just exploded. He and his brother,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I don't know, are the richest YouTubers in the earth
- 3:49Speaker 1: or whatever. And I guess at one point, early in
- 3:53Speaker 1: his career, he was just a young kid doing dancing
- 3:56Speaker 1: and singing. And all of a sudden, he's all buffed
- 3:58Speaker 1: out and everything. He's gotten into boxing. He's all tattooed.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And they do this fight.
- 4:05Speaker 2: On Netflix.
- 4:06Speaker 1: On Netflix. So Peter went. He wanted to watch it. Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Everybody did.
- 4:10Speaker 1: He did not attend the Vanderpump annual dog gala with me.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Oh, you guys did that on the same night?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They're probably not the same audience, I would imagine, right? Yes.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Well, Sheena Shea and her husband Brock, they were watching
- 4:26Speaker 1: it at the table on the phone. But no, I
- 4:29Speaker 1: think it was okay that that happened to be the
- 4:31Speaker 1: same night. Yeah. It is hard. I remember one time
- 4:33Speaker 1: there was a gala at the school that fell on
- 4:36Speaker 1: a big fight too. And it was like, oh my God,
- 4:39Speaker 1: what are we going to do? Can we bring in TVs?
- 4:41Speaker 1: What's going to happen? Like we didn't know when we
- 4:42Speaker 1: planned this nine months prior that this would be like
- 4:44Speaker 1: the biggest whatever.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So this was a live event. And also the last
- 4:51Speaker 1: time Peter went to one of the Vanderpump dog balls,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I left him there to go hang out with Lance Bass.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And he hung out.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Oh, you know, I went, I left him at the
- 5:01Speaker 1: table and was running around having my fun.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Sure.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And, um, there were those little, little ladies, little women
- 5:09Speaker 1: from the little show on TLC.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Oh, literally the little women. Gotcha.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And one of them got intoxicated. The one sitting next
- 5:18Speaker 1: to Peter and she got sick and allegedly, according to Peter,
- 5:24Speaker 1: who told me at the time, um, puked in her purse.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 5:28Speaker 1: At the dinner. Really? So Peter was like, I think
- 5:32Speaker 1: you'd have more fun with your sister this year. So
- 5:34Speaker 1: I took Shannon and it was very fun.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Oh, good.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Brandy and Julie attended as well. We had a lot
- 5:40Speaker 1: of fun. But so he felt, he came home and
- 5:44Speaker 1: he said it was a joke and it was fake.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Do you think it was fake?
- 5:48Speaker 2: Well, now many people did say that.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:51Speaker 2: But the only reason why I don't believe it was
- 5:53Speaker 2: fake and this was, is because you could actually bet
- 5:56Speaker 2: on it. And people were shocked. They were like, wait
- 5:58Speaker 2: a minute, you could actually bet on this? I thought
- 6:00Speaker 2: it was just scripted. You know, normally- If it's something
- 6:03Speaker 2: like we know who the winner's going to be, we're
- 6:05Speaker 2: not going to take bets.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Because everybody would bet.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But who's taking the bet?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Vegas, everybody. You can bet. All on those sports betting
- 6:14Speaker 2: apps and stuff. You can bet on the fight.
- 6:16Speaker 1: All right.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Right there, people are like, well, then it's got to
- 6:18Speaker 2: be real if you can bet on it because you
- 6:20Speaker 2: can stand to lose billions. So people were betting on it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: There was a lot of bets being put down on it. And,
- 6:26Speaker 2: of course, it's everything whatever one thought it was going
- 6:29Speaker 2: to be. One guy didn't want to hurt the old man.
- 6:33Speaker 2: And the old man was, I mean, I feel like,
- 6:35Speaker 2: first of all, it started at like midnight by the
- 6:38Speaker 2: time it finally went on. He's 58. Right there, I
- 6:40Speaker 2: was always like, what are you doing to the guy?
- 6:44Speaker 1: Six o'clock would have been better.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But also, okay, so I saw how it looked like
- 6:49Speaker 1: he was kind of like, like Peter said, it's like
- 6:51Speaker 1: if you were like play fighting. And then I did
- 6:54Speaker 1: see people do videos of him recently training Tyson and
- 6:58Speaker 1: And he was a beast, you know? So I don't know.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I think in that one second clip that everyone watched
- 7:05Speaker 2: of him training, he was a beast. But then I
- 7:07Speaker 2: think when they cut the camera, I don't think he
- 7:10Speaker 2: did that for eight minutes.
- 7:13Speaker 1: They also showed us a video of the seats that
- 7:16Speaker 1: you could pay for $ 2 million to watch. Yeah. Did
- 7:18Speaker 1: you see that?
- 7:19Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 7:19Speaker 1: There were these guys, so here's the ring, here they are,
- 7:23Speaker 1: here's the TV in case you miss anything. And just
- 7:27Speaker 1: very average food, you know, you could have there. And
- 7:29Speaker 1: we were like, wow, $ 2 million for this.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Well, the winner of the night was, well, Jake Paul
- 7:36Speaker 2: won the fight.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Nobody got knocked out or anything. Yeah. But apparently the undercard,
- 7:42Speaker 2: two women fought and that was a really good fight.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Everyone loved that.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 7:45Speaker 2: So I think in the end, more people like walked
- 7:47Speaker 2: away from going, oh, it's fun to watch boxing again.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Like real fights.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And also fun to watch women boxing, so good for that,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I guess.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I know, I think. And then, of course, Netflix, it
- 7:58Speaker 2: was 60 million people watched it. It was the biggest
- 8:01Speaker 2: thing ever. Biggest live event, I think, ever watched by.
- 8:04Speaker 1: You know what's weird is kids don't fight really anymore.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You know, it's just like, I feel like, you know,
- 8:11Speaker 1: back in the day, people, oh, the boys got in
- 8:13Speaker 1: a fight. They got suspended from school. Like, I'm sure
- 8:16Speaker 1: at certain schools that happens, but I'm telling you, in
- 8:18Speaker 1: the private school world of Los Angeles, it does not happen. Like,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't know that there's, I can say, honestly, my
- 8:28Speaker 1: sons have not been in, like, any kind of, like,
- 8:30Speaker 1: real fight.
- 8:32Speaker 2: When we were enrolling my daughter in the school, one
- 8:35Speaker 2: of my concerns, I would tell my wife, I was like,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I just don't want her to get beat up on
- 8:39Speaker 2: the school bus. And I was like, where'd you go
- 8:41Speaker 2: to school? Like who gets beat up on the school bus?
- 8:45Speaker 2: I don't know. Everybody like, that's where I went down.
- 8:47Speaker 1: She's going to a private school. I'm sure the school
- 8:50Speaker 1: bus has like cushions.
- 8:51Speaker 2: There is no school, but I'm the school bus.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Oh, there is no school bus. Oh, well then you
- 8:54Speaker 1: really don't have to worry.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah. So it's fine.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 2: So, but when I was going to school, the school
- 9:00Speaker 2: bus was lawlessness. I mean, there was like, you know,
- 9:03Speaker 2: it was not like when it was like a cop
- 9:05Speaker 2: driving it, it was like some carny, you know, driving
- 9:08Speaker 2: the school bus. They didn't care. So whatever's going on
- 9:11Speaker 2: behind them.
- 9:12Speaker 1: How would they know?
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah. It was just wild.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Just terrifying.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yeah. So that's what I was like. I just don't
- 9:17Speaker 2: want my daughter to go through that. And I don't think,
- 9:19Speaker 2: you know, I don't think.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I mean, I do. I feel like we were also told, like,
- 9:24Speaker 1: growing up in Los Angeles, you know, Catholic school, we
- 9:27Speaker 1: would pray for the public school kids.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:30Speaker 1: And I just remember, like, walking home and I saw
- 9:32Speaker 1: a group of them and I was like, holy shit.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And I just started to, like, run. Yeah. Because they'd
- 9:37Speaker 1: be like, hey, like, they'd see the uniform, whatever. Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I don't know. I think, you know, everyone talks about
- 9:42Speaker 1: bullying and all this and that. Maybe bullying is online.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Maybe it's in front of people. But like this. So
- 9:48Speaker 1: maybe this is why boxing has continued, because we don't
- 9:51Speaker 1: really see it. Because I personally I remember my mom
- 9:54Speaker 1: loved it. She'd get all excited for the fights.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:57Speaker 1: She loved Oscar de la Hoya because he was. so
- 10:00Speaker 1: cute and charming and right right you know he's like
- 10:03Speaker 1: Mexican with the dimples and all that and so she
- 10:05Speaker 1: always thought he was like the cutest also who Sugar
- 10:08Speaker 1: Ray he had a face of an angel and like
- 10:11Speaker 1: she liked like the cute people and so I was
- 10:14Speaker 1: always like watching it going this is I can't believe
- 10:16Speaker 1: we're watching it. Like this is gladiator. Like this is awful. Right.
- 10:20Speaker 1: But it's not going away. No.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And now like UFC is kind of taking over and
- 10:24Speaker 2: that's even more violent than like a regular box.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Right. That's like, that's like you have to do like
- 10:29Speaker 1: high kicks and stuff.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah. She's like blood everywhere. And Joe Rogan screaming in
- 10:34Speaker 2: the sidelines. I'm like, Oh, this is all too manly
- 10:36Speaker 2: for me. Yeah. I'd rather just go watch wicked.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Well, anyway, so that was a big deal.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a big deal. My wife works for Netflix. Yes.
- 10:48Speaker 2: She was saying that they got like, they were getting
- 10:52Speaker 2: new subscriptions.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Which is the whole big hit.
- 10:54Speaker 2: So like per second before the fight went off, they
- 10:57Speaker 2: were getting like thousands of new subscriptions a second or something.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:03Speaker 2: So it was just like everything. And then there were
- 11:05Speaker 2: some glitches. So that was, you know, the thing where
- 11:08Speaker 2: there was some buffering or whatever. Because it's hard to do,
- 11:10Speaker 2: I don't know, nobody's ever done live to that size
- 11:15Speaker 2: of audience.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yes, I know they did a couple live things previous,
- 11:19Speaker 1: like there was a live reunion for Love is Blind
- 11:21Speaker 1: like a year ago.
- 11:22Speaker 2: They did a couple of award shows live, SAG Awards.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So now it seems like they're getting on their way
- 11:27Speaker 1: to do more of that.
- 11:27Speaker 2: They're doing a football game on Christmas Day too. Two
- 11:30Speaker 2: football games on Christmas Day.
- 11:31Speaker 1: With Beyonce. With Beyonce.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I heard. You just told me that.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So, Beyonce is going to be the performer. And they
- 11:37Speaker 1: showed this, like, cool video of her, like, standing on
- 11:40Speaker 1: a car in, like, a red, white, and blue little
- 11:42Speaker 1: sexy outfit with her blonde wig and, like, her white hat. Oh. And, um... And,
- 11:47Speaker 1: you know, all the responses were exciting.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Oh, she's doing the cowboy music?
- 11:50Speaker 1: She's still doing cowboy music. Yeah. And, you know, now
- 11:54Speaker 1: she's Americana. Like, don't forget what happened two weeks ago.
- 11:59Speaker 2: You've got to ask America about that.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. So we'll see. I think, listen, she's a
- 12:04Speaker 1: great performer. The songs are great.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 1: So they're doing all that kind of stuff. And that's
- 12:10Speaker 1: the test, right? If something's a hit is if the
- 12:12Speaker 1: subscribers go way up. Because they don't really have like
- 12:15Speaker 1: a rating. It's like, oh, this many people watched.
- 12:18Speaker 2: The thing about it now is now they're into live sports.
- 12:22Speaker 2: And if this live sports continues to go well, I
- 12:25Speaker 2: just like TV is just over. Like the only thing
- 12:27Speaker 2: that's really keeping regular TV alive is like live sport.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Like watching ABC for the CBS for NFL.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Oh, so you're saying if Netflix takes all the sports.
- 12:36Speaker 2: If Netflix starts taking those, then it's like, why would
- 12:38Speaker 2: you ever go over to regular TV? Right? I mean.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. Like, I mean, it's like the
- 12:44Speaker 1: world is changing quickly. People be fired right and left.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I couldn't believe I was watching regular TV just like
- 12:51Speaker 2: two weeks ago, watching like baseball, the playoffs or something.
- 12:54Speaker 2: And you see commercials, which I, you know, we used
- 12:56Speaker 2: to love. I still remember like every commercial jingle in
- 13:00Speaker 2: my head from when I was five. Right. But now
- 13:05Speaker 2: you watch, you're like, I'm like, I don't even, and
- 13:07Speaker 2: it's all for diseases, you know, like. You have this disease?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Because they know the older people are watching it.
- 13:13Speaker 2: It's a new disease. I don't want to be insensitive,
- 13:16Speaker 2: but I didn't even know this one existed. Where people
- 13:19Speaker 2: can't straighten out their hands. Have you seen the commercial
- 13:21Speaker 2: for it? Can you straighten your hand? And the guy's
- 13:24Speaker 2: like struggling. And then I'm like, oh, I'm watching it going, shit,
- 13:28Speaker 2: maybe I have. I'm sitting here trying to straighten my
- 13:32Speaker 2: hand like, oh, I'm good.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Look at me. I remember Brandon got into watching like
- 13:39Speaker 1: adult TV, like, game shows. Like, he was very into, like,
- 13:42Speaker 1: Family Feud and, like, when he was, like, eight or nine.
- 13:46Speaker 1: And he was, like, all day, he's just like, Mom,
- 13:48Speaker 1: do you think you have flageomalacia or whatever that was?
- 13:51Speaker 2: Fibromyalgia.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm like, no, I'm going to
- 13:54Speaker 1: be okay. He's like, oh, okay. Like, you just saw
- 13:57Speaker 1: so many of it.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I figured that, like, the commercials just aimed at people
- 14:01Speaker 2: It feels like there's old people, people who can't move.
- 14:03Speaker 1: They're just in their chair.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Why are you there?
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And I'll get money for whatever happened.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I'll get you money. Did you fall down somewhere? Call me.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Did you use a weed killer and now you have cancer?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Did you put baby powder on your vagina in 1978?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Call us.
- 14:18Speaker 2: We'll get money for it. That's a big one.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, the baby powder.
- 14:20Speaker 2: The baby powder on the vagina.
- 14:22Speaker 1: What about baby powder? Do you ever put baby powder
- 14:24Speaker 1: anywhere down there on yourself as an adult?
- 14:26Speaker 2: Me? Yeah. I didn't because it always looked like the bathroom,
- 14:31Speaker 2: you know, then I'll take a bakery in the bathroom.
- 14:33Speaker 2: You know, I'm like, is there anything here where it
- 14:34Speaker 2: doesn't explode? So it's good.
- 14:39Speaker 1: So you don't have ovarian cancer.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I don't. Right. At this point, I'm good.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:44Speaker 1: This girl, her name, Sydney Thompson. She's the new Hawk
- 14:49Speaker 1: Tua girl. She is going to be the biggest star.
- 14:53Speaker 1: She is just overwhelmed by the sudden fame because she
- 14:55Speaker 1: was a hot ring girl.
- 14:58Speaker 2: At the Tyson fight. Yeah.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So I'm glad that hot girls still have a chance
- 15:02Speaker 1: to make a living.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I think they're coming back.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Hot girls are coming back.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think hot girls are coming back. We did
- 15:08Speaker 2: it already.
- 15:08Speaker 1: No more... Body positivity, hot girls, we love you in
- 15:12Speaker 1: all shapes and sizes.
- 15:14Speaker 2: You can no longer put brave in that. If anything
- 15:17Speaker 2: you're doing is brave, you're out right now.
- 15:20Speaker 1: We want an insecure hot girl that's staying thin because
- 15:23Speaker 1: that's all she's got going.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Those Dove commercials? Sorry. Sorry, everybody.
- 15:28Speaker 1: It's a new America. Well, anyway, she'll have a podcast
- 15:34Speaker 1: soon on Barstool, I'm sure. Those thoughts. You know the
- 15:37Speaker 1: ones I mean.
- 15:39Speaker 4: The doesn't matter, it's nothing thoughts that become kind of
- 15:42Speaker 4: something become a bit much. And day by day, the
- 15:45Speaker 4: world feels heavier and you're holding it together just fine
- 15:48Speaker 4: until suddenly you're not.
- 15:51Speaker 1: You don't have to navigate it alone.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Learn how to manage everyday pressures and unhelpful thoughts with
- 15:57Speaker 4: six weekly sessions from Aware. Find out more about the
- 16:00Speaker 4: free resilience program at aware.ie.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Each week on the show, I sit down with extraordinary
- 16:11Speaker 3: people who have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have
- 16:16Speaker 3: found a way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm heading to the Emmys and I have police complaints
- 16:25Speaker 2: filed against me. When your free will was about to
- 16:27Speaker 2: be taken from you, what would you do if it
- 16:30Speaker 2: was given back?
- 16:30Speaker 3: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 16:33Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 16:36Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 16:37Speaker 2: home dad. What happens next? When I came in, he
- 16:40Speaker 2: started crying. Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 16:43Speaker 3: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 16:46Speaker 3: go through.
- 16:47Speaker 2: It's about what happens next.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 16:52Speaker 1: You're worth the work.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 16:58Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Okay. Speaking of Barstool. Oh. Latest with Brianna, chicken fry.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I talked, we talked about this. So she dated, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: I kept saying his name wrong because there's Luke Bryan
- 17:22Speaker 1: and there's Zach Bryan, but they both are country singers. Yes.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So it's Zach Bryan who allegedly is a bad boy.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Zach Bryan, Luke Bryant with a T.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Oh.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Well, Zach Bryan is allegedly an awful boyfriend. An awful boyfriend.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Brianna is a likable gal on the Barstool Show called
- 17:42Speaker 1: my BFF podcast, whatever. Right. In everything that she shared,
- 17:47Speaker 1: what we shared in the previous show.
- 17:49Speaker 2: They were dating. They broke up.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Dating broke up. But now she said we were looking.
- 17:54Speaker 1: He said he was looking at rings. The same week
- 17:56Speaker 1: he told me he was looking at rings to get
- 17:58Speaker 1: engaged is when I found out he was DMing and
- 18:01Speaker 1: on apps and actively trying to cheat if he hadn't already.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:04Speaker 1: That was like the first thing.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Then now she did a video saying– Zach, if you
- 18:11Speaker 1: keep showing videos of my cat– so I don't know.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Maybe they got a cat together and he got custody
- 18:15Speaker 1: of the cat and now he's posting photos of the
- 18:19Speaker 1: cat to like torture her in her opinion. And she
- 18:22Speaker 1: said if you keep showing.
- 18:23Speaker 2: He's posting them on what? His Instagram?
- 18:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't like– Like to the public.
- 18:27Speaker 1: There's so many– I'm like, okay, this story is gone
- 18:30Speaker 1: about two weeks too long. Like I'm kind of like, okay,
- 18:32Speaker 1: most stories don't last this long.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I know.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Because there's more to it. There's Dave Portnoy, who apparently runs,
- 18:39Speaker 2: of course, Barstool, but is also on this podcast with her.
- 18:43Speaker 2: He was somehow involved.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yes, he is the hero of all disgruntled girlfriends now.
- 18:48Speaker 1: He is saying this guy's a jerk. Let's show everything.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Let's tell everything. Tell how he offered you $ 12 million.
- 18:57Speaker 1: She said that to keep her mouth shut. Then he
- 19:01Speaker 1: and the other guy wrote song parodies about him having
- 19:06Speaker 1: a Lego head and then he was a cheater and
- 19:08Speaker 1: all of a sudden people say they like the music
- 19:10Speaker 1: and And then he said, I'm actually canceling the podcast.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I know. He's all. No, they're going to keep the
- 19:16Speaker 2: podcast going. He's just not going to be on it anymore.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It's going to be her still and the other guy.
- 19:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Well, very weird.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:22Speaker 1: So then, so, you know, she's only 25 years old.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 1: So now she last night or whatever said, if you
- 19:30Speaker 1: don't stop, you know, exploiting my cat or whatever, to
- 19:35Speaker 1: use that word, showing photos of the cat. then I'm
- 19:38Speaker 1: going to show videos of you throwing some stuff at
- 19:40Speaker 1: my face. So now she's saying there's videos not only
- 19:45Speaker 1: of you being a dick and everything and saying being
- 19:48Speaker 1: a gaslighting asshole boy right who made me insecure and
- 19:52Speaker 1: made me wonder what the fuck was going on you
- 19:54Speaker 1: actually might be you know violent in some way yeah
- 19:59Speaker 1: that's where we are at now.
- 20:01Speaker 2: And but if she has videos like that that's now
- 20:03Speaker 2: that's a problem I mean, at.
- 20:05Speaker 1: This point, where is the cat, Zach? Just give the
- 20:08Speaker 1: cat back.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, why would he?
- 20:10Speaker 1: And have the cat show up in a Louis Vuitton
- 20:12Speaker 1: bag with some cash anyway. It's just like, you don't
- 20:17Speaker 1: need to do anything. You can still talk shit about me.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Here's a million dollars. I don't know. Like, how much more?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Or at this point, is he going to fight back
- 20:25Speaker 1: and be like, this is enough? I mean, again— It's
- 20:30Speaker 1: got to make it really hard because most girls have
- 20:32Speaker 1: a podcast. And so maybe they– all the girls that
- 20:36Speaker 1: say they're going to shave their head to be unattractive
- 20:39Speaker 1: and not– just get a podcast girl because every guy
- 20:41Speaker 1: is going to be too scared to date you. Right.
- 20:43Speaker 2: They won't do anything because she'll talk about it. Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I don't know. What do you think is going to happen?
- 20:49Speaker 2: Well, first of all, this guy's a giant. I mean,
- 20:52Speaker 2: his guy plays stadiums. Like, he's huge.
- 20:54Speaker 1: I mean, we still listen to Michael Jackson. People still
- 20:57Speaker 1: listen to R.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Kelly.
- 20:58Speaker 1: People still listen to P. Diddy. People still listen to,
- 21:01Speaker 1: you know, Chris Brown.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Some people, yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 1: For the, you know.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Garth Brooks had some recently some stuff. He fought against it.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Also, white girls are not a real loyal audience to anybody.
- 21:15Speaker 2: White girls?
- 21:15Speaker 1: Yeah, white girls that are probably her fans right now.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Like you're telling me that some girl that's like, I hate,
- 21:24Speaker 1: you know, Zach Bryan. You know, he's a jerk. I
- 21:28Speaker 1: love Brianna, which is fine. They can do that. So
- 21:31Speaker 1: six months from now. Right. Or even less. Zach Bryan
- 21:35Speaker 1: is at Coachella.
- 21:36Speaker 2: And your cute boyfriend- Oh, he's already done that. He's
- 21:39Speaker 2: been- Whatever.
- 21:40Speaker 1: He's doing a big concert.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 1: And your new cute hot boyfriend- Right. Says in April
- 21:45Speaker 1: of 2025, hey, cute girl that also is Chicken Fries fan.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I got us tickets to Zach Bryan. Won't that be fun?
- 21:56Speaker 1: You're telling me that there are fans that'll be like, no.
- 21:59Speaker 2: No.
- 22:00Speaker 3: No.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Not going to my boyfriend.
- 22:03Speaker 2: No, I agree with you.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll go. I don't think they're already. They'll go.
- 22:07Speaker 1: So I'm just saying it's fine. Have fun with it.
- 22:10Speaker 1: But I just feel more and more scandals do not stick.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:15Speaker 1: They do not stick unless it's really– so if she
- 22:18Speaker 1: really shows a video.
- 22:19Speaker 2: That's like– But I'm saying they stick if you have video.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Right. If the video is something– And it's not a
- 22:25Speaker 1: napkin in her face like Tamara Barney did to a
- 22:27Speaker 1: real housewife. And it's like literally like he threw like
- 22:31Speaker 1: a big salt shaker and she missed or something. Like
- 22:35Speaker 1: then that's going to be something that's going to make
- 22:37Speaker 1: people be like, okay.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:39Speaker 1: So– We'll see. I hope that's not the case. I
- 22:43Speaker 1: wouldn't want to think that anybody went through that.
- 22:46Speaker 2: They had video with Johnny Depp, but he was slamming
- 22:50Speaker 2: cabinets and stuff.
- 22:53Speaker 1: That's not someone's head, though.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Being angry and like, Being like, what the hell is
- 23:00Speaker 1: one thing than directing, curling anything towards someone's face and
- 23:05Speaker 1: also putting your hands on them. That's totally different. Going
- 23:08Speaker 1: like this to a table, I mean, that's bad. It
- 23:10Speaker 1: makes you look like, yeah, I don't think I want
- 23:12Speaker 1: to date that person.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. But, I mean, that's probably why
- 23:17Speaker 2: he was offering $ 12 million. He probably knew, like, oh,
- 23:19Speaker 2: I did some– like, nobody goes– Oh, she's saying bad
- 23:23Speaker 2: things about me. I'm going to give her, I'm going
- 23:24Speaker 2: to give you, like if it was nothing, why would
- 23:26Speaker 2: you offer 12 million?
- 23:27Speaker 1: You know, he's clearly effed up and clearly not somebody
- 23:32Speaker 1: you want your daughter to date. Right. Or your sister
- 23:35Speaker 1: or anything. Yeah. But will people like his next song
- 23:39Speaker 1: and play it on the radio?
- 23:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Unless something really bad. And even if something really bad
- 23:45Speaker 1: comes out, like I said, Michael Jackson has a musical out. Yeah. Right. Right.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I mean, Michael Jackson is still... There was a minute
- 23:53Speaker 2: where everybody was like, no more Michael Jackson music on
- 23:55Speaker 2: our radio station. And it was literally a minute. Yeah.
- 23:58Speaker 1: And you walk into Macy's and it's like, pretty young thing,
- 24:02Speaker 1: repeat after me.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Those songs are too good. He's got some good ones.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Conan O'Brien is the new host of the Oscars.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:13Speaker 1: And in the past, it's been Jimmy Kimmel. Totally not surprised.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Being that we're... In a new phase of America.
- 24:20Speaker 2: But Jimmy did say he wasn't going to do it anymore. Oh,
- 24:21Speaker 2: he said it? They did ask him and he said no.
- 24:24Speaker 1: But I also thought that was probably not anything you'll
- 24:28Speaker 1: want to hear again.
- 24:28Speaker 4: No.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Conan's done, I guess, several things over the last 25 years,
- 24:34Speaker 1: this type of variety show. He's still got his arsenal
- 24:37Speaker 1: of writers. He's a good writer.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Conan O'Brien is the perfect choice. Totally agree. They should
- 24:42Speaker 2: not only sign him for this year. They should sign
- 24:45Speaker 2: him for the next 10 years.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Because nobody wants to do it.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Nobody wants to do it anymore. You're exactly whatever.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Nope.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Conan's kind of like everybody likes him. You know? Yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 2: He's kind of played his career almost perfectly.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I don't know anybody who's kind of. He's gotten more
- 24:59Speaker 2: popular after he left late night.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I actually think a Jim Gaffigan could be good, too.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Yeah, even Jim Gaffigan's kind of, like, polarized himself a
- 25:06Speaker 2: little bit lately.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Okay. Well, yeah, maybe. But eventually, if— I feel like, yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 1: maybe Jim Gaffigan has to be on a little more TV. Yeah. Like,
- 25:15Speaker 1: you know, he's such a big stand-up.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I bet they asked him. I bet he was one
- 25:18Speaker 2: of the names.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Yeah. If you're not familiar with doing it and you
- 25:22Speaker 1: don't have— that staff of arsenal of writers that you
- 25:26Speaker 1: can go, okay guys, let's do something really fun together.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I think it is scary. And I have now put
- 25:33Speaker 1: myself in a scary situation.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I know this is shocking. Like I was reading this
- 25:38Speaker 2: on your Instagram and I'm like, are you just talking
- 25:40Speaker 2: about it? Like you're going to watch it. Cause you
- 25:42Speaker 2: just kept saying I'm hosting it.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I am hosting tonight. So when you guys are listening
- 25:47Speaker 1: to this, you can go to my Instagram and I'll
- 25:49Speaker 1: post some photos from it. At least like me on
- 25:52Speaker 1: the red carpet. I am hosting the American Reality TV
- 25:58Speaker 1: Awards show, and it's a real show.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Is this taking place at a Red Lobster in Burbank?
- 26:03Speaker 1: No, it's taking place at the Avalon in Hollywood with tables,
- 26:08Speaker 1: so kind of like a Golden Globe, like a poor
- 26:10Speaker 1: man's Golden Globe, and all different reality stars from like
- 26:16Speaker 1: The challenge to the real estate shows, to Catfish, JoJo Siwa,
- 26:21Speaker 1: Tara Barney, they're all going to be presenters. There's categories
- 26:24Speaker 1: for everything. And I won best reality podcast last year.
- 26:31Speaker 2: You did?
- 26:32Speaker 1: But there was no ceremony. There was no show.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Because of what, COVID or something?
- 26:37Speaker 1: I don't know. Whatever. I can't remember why.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:39Speaker 1: So then they called and they were like, we'd love
- 26:42Speaker 1: for you to be a part of it or present
- 26:44Speaker 1: the award. And I'm like, oh, yeah, totally. I'll go
- 26:46Speaker 1: get cute and do that. That'll be fun.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Since I didn't get to do my, like, big Academy Award,
- 26:51Speaker 1: you know. And they're like, do you want to host
- 26:53Speaker 1: the whole thing? You know, and I immediately thought of, like, oh, well,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you know, how hard it is to do those jokes
- 27:00Speaker 1: and not piss off people and, like, you know, either
- 27:03Speaker 1: you're Ricky Gervais or you suck.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 27:07Speaker 1: But I was like, You know what? That'd be crazy
- 27:09Speaker 1: for me to say no. I may never get another opportunity.
- 27:13Speaker 1: So I was like, all right, let's do it. You know,
- 27:17Speaker 1: I don't know how many more years I'll be this cute.
- 27:20Speaker 1: So I have five different times I come on stage.
- 27:24Speaker 1: So I have five different dresses.
- 27:26Speaker 2: So you open the monologue. You're opening monologue. You come out.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I do have an opening monologue.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, Heather McDonald. Right.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Now this is going to air in a week on
- 27:35Speaker 1: Black Friday.
- 27:36Speaker 2: On what channel?
- 27:37Speaker 1: On Roku.
- 27:37Speaker 4: On Roku.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Oh, okay. And so they're recording it live to tape
- 27:44Speaker 1: like you would a stand-up special where they're kind of
- 27:46Speaker 1: doing it in a truck outside. But then, of course,
- 27:49Speaker 1: if something happens, if there's a mistake or whatever, they
- 27:52Speaker 1: can edit that out. So they're like, do whatever you want.
- 27:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, hey, I'm just going to be funny.
- 27:58Speaker 1: If a joke is too edgy, if it flops or whatever,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you might see it and it might be literally me
- 28:04Speaker 1: just coming out and going– And welcome, our first presenter is.
- 28:07Speaker 1: They might cut out my whole thing. I don't know.
- 28:10Speaker 1: But I'm writing jokes.
- 28:12Speaker 2: So what are some of the categories?
- 28:14Speaker 1: They are, you know, like best challenged reality show, biggest,
- 28:21Speaker 1: you know, best reality queen. Like they're fun, things like that.
- 28:27Speaker 1: There's a whole bunch, though. It's going to be like
- 28:28Speaker 1: two hours.
- 28:29Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if you can give this information,
- 28:31Speaker 2: but I know in some cases award shows, they'll tell
- 28:33Speaker 2: the people you won to get them there.
- 28:36Speaker 1: No.
- 28:37Speaker 2: They don't know they're winning.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I mean, I only know the one category that I'm
- 28:40Speaker 1: doing who won.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 28:41Speaker 1: But no, I don't know who's winning any of the things. No,
- 28:44Speaker 1: they reach out to people and they're like, we'd love
- 28:46Speaker 1: to have you be a presenter. And we also want
- 28:49Speaker 1: you to know you're being nominated. So like, yeah, I
- 28:51Speaker 1: think they go. And if they win, they literally go
- 28:53Speaker 1: up and get to.
- 28:54Speaker 2: So this is tonight.
- 28:55Speaker 1: This is tonight.
- 28:57Speaker 2: I feel like you should be napping or something. I
- 28:59Speaker 2: just want people to little bit know.
- 29:00Speaker 1: What a one woman woman. operation Heather McDonald is. So
- 29:07Speaker 1: I bought every dress myself. Okay. And shopped at several stores.
- 29:12Speaker 2: And riding it yourself.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Every pair of shoes. I did have my, my friend,
- 29:15Speaker 1: Jen Principe, who's a stylist, come and meet me and
- 29:17Speaker 1: help me.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:19Speaker 1: But I did purchase everything myself. No, no designers coming
- 29:22Speaker 1: with a rack.
- 29:23Speaker 2: To my house. I'm thinking you should be right now.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Cause I always hear the stories like, or you see like,
- 29:28Speaker 2: you know, they're sitting there and their curls in their hair. No, no.
- 29:32Speaker 1: No. And so.
- 29:33Speaker 2: I feel like you're really.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Doing my own makeup.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I feel like you're half-assing this. I feel like you
- 29:38Speaker 2: need to be gone now and getting prepared.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Well, that's the fun of the authenticity.
- 29:44Speaker 2: You don't want to fuck this up for the audience
- 29:46Speaker 2: of Roku.
- 29:49Speaker 1: So I, you know, I'm like, listen, I always do
- 29:54Speaker 1: my own makeup. But I was going to get a
- 29:56Speaker 1: makeup artist. But then I realized I have to record something.
- 29:59Speaker 1: the Tuesday show with you on Monday. So I have
- 30:01Speaker 1: to put on makeup. So I already did the majority,
- 30:03Speaker 1: like I'll enhance it a little, but I already have
- 30:05Speaker 1: the makeup. So then I was like, well, I would
- 30:08Speaker 1: really love a hair person.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:10Speaker 1: So I found a hair person.
- 30:12Speaker 2: And they'll be coming to your home or to leave?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Well, she canceled.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Oh, shit. I got a gal who cuts my hair
- 30:19Speaker 2: at Supercuts.
- 30:20Speaker 1: So I have literally, I have Lala, Sheena. I have
- 30:24Speaker 1: all these people trying to see if their people can come.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 30:28Speaker 1: And so far, no luck.
- 30:30Speaker 2: But can't you just go to, like, anybody? Like, don't
- 30:32Speaker 2: you go to.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean, at one point, I'm going to be there at, like, three.
- 30:36Speaker 1: And I have a little time between us recording and that. So,
- 30:41Speaker 1: first of all, I can do my own hair. It
- 30:43Speaker 1: won't be as great. It won't be, like, special. Like,
- 30:46Speaker 1: I was going to actually put in, like, little extra
- 30:49Speaker 1: hair pieces so I look like, you know.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Right.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Like, I have, like, you know, great locks. Maybe do, like,
- 30:54Speaker 1: an updo halfway through.
- 30:56Speaker 3: But.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I don't know that I'm going to get that. And
- 30:58Speaker 1: I'm like, God, Heather, this is Los Angeles. It's kind
- 31:01Speaker 1: of a big deal. It's Hollywood. But I literally have
- 31:05Speaker 1: tried all morning. And at a certain point, I just
- 31:07Speaker 1: have to go, you know what? It's more important that
- 31:10Speaker 1: I am funny. Yeah. So we'll just see what happens.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Have you written a monologue?
- 31:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been writing it. I've been writing it. But
- 31:20Speaker 1: it's like they said, do you want it in the teleprompter?
- 31:23Speaker 1: I go, no. I just want to do the bullets.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Because otherwise I'm not used to– when I do stand-up,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I'm not used to reading anything. So I just want
- 31:31Speaker 1: the teleprompter to be like, hello and welcome to blah, blah, blah, blah. Joke, joke, joke.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I'll have the bullets. Joke, joke. And then I'll– based
- 31:39Speaker 1: on how it's going, I can go a little longer
- 31:41Speaker 1: or not.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 31:42Speaker 1: And then I come out again to do the award
- 31:46Speaker 1: that I won and give the person that award. I
- 31:50Speaker 1: have another thing that I come out for like Best
- 31:52Speaker 1: Variety Show. And then I like have a check-in moment, whatever.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Everybody having fun? And based on something that happened, maybe
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'll come up with something funny or I'll just be like,
- 32:03Speaker 1: everyone looks gorgeous. Our next thing is, depending. Right. Or
- 32:06Speaker 1: if they're like, just skip it. We're running late. I
- 32:08Speaker 1: don't know what they'll do. But they won't do that
- 32:12Speaker 1: because it's okay if it goes long. That's right. It's
- 32:14Speaker 1: not live. And then I come out in the final goodbye. So, like,
- 32:20Speaker 1: I have, you know, some people coming. I have Peter coming.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:24Speaker 1: And that's it. Yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I don't know, but I don't like this. How long
- 32:31Speaker 2: is the monologue? How long is the opening?
- 32:33Speaker 1: They said go, you know, you can do it as
- 32:35Speaker 1: short or as long as you want. It doesn't matter.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Feel it out. They're just like that. They're really cool.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I feel like, what did they, who's behind this?
- 32:43Speaker 1: They feel like they've done this before.
- 32:44Speaker 2: It's almost too loose.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Like, Melissa Peterson has been the host.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I know her. I want to say like Matthew Bennett
- 32:51Speaker 1: or somebody has done it.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I know it could be a disaster, but what's great
- 32:56Speaker 1: about Juicy Scoop, Heather McDowell in my life today is
- 33:01Speaker 1: I don't, I mean, I don't care that much. Like
- 33:04Speaker 1: I'm like, if it's a fucking disaster, it'll be a
- 33:07Speaker 1: hilarious story and I'll share it on Patreon.
- 33:09Speaker 2: I'm very excited for your.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Lack of preparation. If it's great, it's great. I have
- 33:14Speaker 1: some solid... jokes and things, but I have to be
- 33:18Speaker 1: nice and I have to realize this is all reality.
- 33:21Speaker 1: So I can't just be like doing a bunch of
- 33:23Speaker 1: housewife impressions. It's the challenge. It's the circle. It's like
- 33:27Speaker 1: all these other big reality shows that are being honored
- 33:29Speaker 1: and everything. So, um, I'm kind of just doing, you know,
- 33:33Speaker 1: thinking about general jokes and stuff that are funny. Right.
- 33:37Speaker 1: And if they're too edgy or whatever and they don't
- 33:39Speaker 1: make it, so what? Like I, the people in the
- 33:42Speaker 1: audience got to see it, you know, and I'm going
- 33:44Speaker 1: to have like, I'm going to have Peter film like,
- 33:46Speaker 1: and I'll have footage of it. So I'll probably be like, hey,
- 33:49Speaker 1: if you didn't use it, I still want to show
- 33:50Speaker 1: my monologue. And if it's a disaster, if I trip
- 33:53Speaker 1: or fall, like I'm putting it up.
- 33:55Speaker 2: I'm going to write you a joke right now.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Okay, great.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I'm going to write you an opening monologue joke right now.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Okay, yeah.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Okay, here goes. You ready? This is it. Okay.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Say, oh, reality TV, it's come so far. Remember the
- 34:06Speaker 2: beginning of reality? We all remember where reality TV started.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Probably the real world on MTV. But the real world's
- 34:13Speaker 2: so old, it's about to box Jake Paul on Netflix
- 34:16Speaker 2: next weekend.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Okay. Wait. I'm going to write that down.
- 34:21Speaker 2: That's a good one.
- 34:22Speaker 1: It's perfect.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Fresh from the headlines.
- 34:24Speaker 1: I love it.
- 34:25Speaker 2: The real world's so old, it's going to fight Jake
- 34:27Speaker 2: Paul on Netflix next weekend. Big laugh.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Okay, good. I'll tell you my other jokes when we're done.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I love it. I'm going to use it 100%. That's
- 34:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It's that perfect kind of joking, which
- 34:39Speaker 1: isn't really my normal stance.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I'm an expert. I've written on a lot of monologue
- 34:46Speaker 2: for third-rate award shows.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Okay, well, before you leave, let me walk down and
- 34:52Speaker 1: buy you Diet Coke and see if we can get
- 34:53Speaker 1: any more out of you. Anyway, it should be fun.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 1: And it might be a little awkward. There's a lot
- 35:00Speaker 1: of people I've talked about that are coming.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I love your attitude. I love the who cares attitude.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I feel that's the best way to go about anything
- 35:08Speaker 2: these days.
- 35:09Speaker 1: The amount that I would have cared, like, honestly, 10
- 35:12Speaker 1: years ago. I know. I would have just been, like, terrified.
- 35:16Speaker 1: And just being like, this could lead to, this could
- 35:19Speaker 1: be blah, blah, blah. Like someone, oh, they said, you
- 35:21Speaker 1: know how they're, like, supposedly getting rid of, like, the view? Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I don't know if that's true. Right. Whatever. So someone's like,
- 35:27Speaker 1: would you do it, you know, if they ever came
- 35:28Speaker 1: to you? And I go, you know, I always said-
- 35:32Speaker 1: The only way I'd ever move to New York is
- 35:35Speaker 1: if there was a TV job in place and my
- 35:39Speaker 1: kids were already out of school and I was in
- 35:42Speaker 1: my 50s. There you are. Then I think it would
- 35:43Speaker 1: be fun to be rich and have a job in
- 35:46Speaker 1: New York for a little bit and see how it goes.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You just kind of walk to every day from your
- 35:50Speaker 2: fancy apartment.
- 35:51Speaker 1: So anyway, I've never been on The View.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:55Speaker 1: And I just want to say that if someone's listening
- 35:58Speaker 1: to this and they are thinking maybe Heather would be fun.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I would try it out. And if it's a disaster,
- 36:06Speaker 1: who cares?
- 36:08Speaker 2: That's the beauty. Who cares?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I'm never going to leave Juicy Scoop. I will never
- 36:12Speaker 1: leave Juicy Scoop. I will never stop doing stand-up. So, like, great.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Or I could really love it. It could be, like,
- 36:18Speaker 1: a whole other chapter for me.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Strangely enough, and I've actually read this about, you know,
- 36:22Speaker 2: the election two weeks ago, people, whether it be podcasting
- 36:28Speaker 2: or whatever, people now want unscripted more they want to
- 36:32Speaker 2: see their political candidates even on like a Joe Rogan
- 36:36Speaker 2: for three hours where they're just kind of riffing and
- 36:39Speaker 2: blah blah blah they don't want to sit down two
- 36:41Speaker 2: minutes on 60 minutes or any of that anymore and
- 36:45Speaker 2: so there's never been more of a time to just
- 36:47Speaker 2: say fuck it because it's kind of what people want
- 36:49Speaker 2: now it seems you know they want just like more real.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Than scripted I was always scared of New York always
- 36:56Speaker 1: wondering like how would that life even be But I
- 37:00Speaker 1: was always like, well, if you have a really nice
- 37:01Speaker 1: apartment and a doorman and, you know, and a way
- 37:04Speaker 1: to get there, whatever, then yeah, then that would be
- 37:07Speaker 1: real fun. Because every time I ever did New York
- 37:09Speaker 1: press and stuff, I would just pretend like, oh, I'm
- 37:12Speaker 1: living here, you know, like, and sometimes I'd be in
- 37:15Speaker 1: a hotel, sometimes I'd be staying at Dr. Drew's place
- 37:18Speaker 1: without them being there, like, you know, whatever, I, you know,
- 37:21Speaker 1: or my other rich friend, like, And so I'd always
- 37:24Speaker 1: be like, oh, I just pretend like I'm, you know,
- 37:26Speaker 1: Carrie Bradshaw skipping across the street. And like, so now
- 37:30Speaker 1: I'm kind of like, I don't know. Right. You know,
- 37:32Speaker 1: I never when there were little opportunities that were like rumblings,
- 37:35Speaker 1: never like I was offered it. I was always like, oh,
- 37:38Speaker 1: my God, what would I do if I got this?
- 37:39Speaker 1: Like the boys are, you know, the kids are whatever
- 37:42Speaker 1: school age. And like, would I come home every other weekend? Like,
- 37:45Speaker 1: what would we do? What? Would I put them on
- 37:47Speaker 1: a subway to go to school? And then I never
- 37:51Speaker 1: got the gig, so it never mattered. But I'd always think, like,
- 37:53Speaker 1: I think I have to turn it down.
- 37:54Speaker 2: What are they saying? They're going to get rid of
- 37:55Speaker 2: you and replace you with something else?
- 37:57Speaker 1: No, like they're going to get rid of some people
- 38:01Speaker 1: to have, like, some different voices possibly. Right, right, right, right. And,
- 38:05Speaker 1: you know, and then.
- 38:06Speaker 2: But never, like, Whoopi or.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 2: I know Whoopi's still on it, but is the other
- 38:12Speaker 2: one still on it?
- 38:13Speaker 1: Sonny, Sonny. No, not Sonny.
- 38:15Speaker 2: The one who's been on forever.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Joy and Whoopi are both on it still.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Behar's still on it?
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Joy Behar?
- 38:20Speaker 1: And I mean, they are, if they're not 80 yet, they're.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Both very close to it. Oh, Joy Behar's got to
- 38:25Speaker 2: be close.
- 38:25Speaker 1: But they're, you know, both sharp and, you know, whatever.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So like, I don't know that they'd want to get
- 38:30Speaker 1: rid of them, but like, whatever, try out some new people.
- 38:33Speaker 1: And so I'm, I'm officially throwing in my hat because
- 38:38Speaker 1: I just want to see what will happen.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:42Speaker 1: So we'll see.
- 38:42Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 38:43Speaker 1: See you in New York. JoJo Siwa.
- 38:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:45Speaker 1: She was performing at Brown University, doing new songs, dancing
- 38:51Speaker 1: around videos. She did like a little rap about, it
- 38:56Speaker 1: ended with like, and making her drip. And then all
- 38:59Speaker 1: these girls like cheer, you know, because she's, you know,
- 39:01Speaker 1: gay and getting real sexy. She's a presenter tonight.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Oh, she'll be a presenter this evening?
- 39:06Speaker 1: I'm so excited. Hold on.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Let me write my JoJo Siwa joke. Hold on.
- 39:10Speaker 1: And real excited. You know, she's our neighbor.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Where?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Tarzana.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Really?
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:17Speaker 2: You know what's funny? There's a bowling alley by my house.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Corbin Bowl.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Of course. I love it. It's my go-to for the
- 39:23Speaker 1: last 50 years.
- 39:26Speaker 2: And I live up in the hill behind Corbin Bowl.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I want people to know it's the other side of
- 39:31Speaker 2: Ventura Boulevard.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Corbin Bowl has been redone and it is lovely and fun.
- 39:35Speaker 1: If you take in your daughter bowling, it's the best
- 39:37Speaker 1: time ever.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Not bowling. We go to the game room.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Get ready when she's old enough to bowl and you
- 39:41Speaker 1: will be addicted.
- 39:42Speaker 2: But anyway, there is a bowling pin in there signed
- 39:45Speaker 2: by Jojo Siwa. Amazing.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 2: So she does Tarzana's own.
- 39:51Speaker 1: First of all, I want to go there and be like,
- 39:54Speaker 1: why have you not asked me? There was a time
- 39:56Speaker 1: when the boys were bowling so much that I did
- 39:59Speaker 1: have ladies approach me and ask if I wanted to
- 40:01Speaker 1: join their group.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Oh, like a league?
- 40:03Speaker 1: Like I was like pretty good.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Oh, if you get into a bowling league, then finally
- 40:09Speaker 2: I'll have some respect. All this other reality show bullshit.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Who cares? I want to see you.
- 40:16Speaker 1: But recently I went bowling or someone had it in
- 40:18Speaker 1: their house, some rich person. And I was awful. Really?
- 40:22Speaker 1: Because I literally was going for like a solid five
- 40:25Speaker 1: years like regularly with the boys.
- 40:26Speaker 2: I feel like you have long limbs. I feel like
- 40:28Speaker 2: that helps.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I mean, it is a satisfying game.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah. It's fun.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Anyway, she's going to be there. So she was doing it.
- 40:37Speaker 1: And do you remember when you did college stuff?
- 40:41Speaker 2: Do I ever. I mean, remember, like performing at college
- 40:44Speaker 2: just was always.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Performing at the college.
- 40:46Speaker 2: My takeaway, you've done them, right?
- 40:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 2: My takeaway, I remember going like during like Chelsea Lately days.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:52Speaker 2: We'd go to college. And I just remember walking into one.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I think it was St. Joseph's University around Philadelphia. And
- 40:59Speaker 2: it was like St. Patrick's Day weekend. So like at
- 41:03Speaker 2: the worst, like any cool kid was not going to
- 41:06Speaker 2: be at a comedy show. You know, so like four nerds.
- 41:09Speaker 2: in their Uggs and their sweatpants. And I just remember going,
- 41:12Speaker 2: oh my God, I didn't realize how young they would be.
- 41:15Speaker 2: It's like, in some cases, they could be 17 or 18.
- 41:19Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I have nothing to say
- 41:22Speaker 2: to you people. There's nothing I'm going to say that
- 41:26Speaker 2: any of you would get. The girl picked me up
- 41:28Speaker 2: from the airport in some shitty car. She was all excited.
- 41:33Speaker 2: And then I got in the car and I think
- 41:36Speaker 2: she's like, oh, I didn't know you were going to
- 41:37Speaker 2: be this old. So she had like nothing to say
- 41:40Speaker 2: to me. She's like, oh my God. And she goes, oh,
- 41:43Speaker 2: just so you know, you get all the free soda
- 41:45Speaker 2: you want at the gig. I was like, oh, well,
- 41:49Speaker 2: I'm glad I know that.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I always just remember feeling like whoever hired me for it,
- 41:55Speaker 1: which was always the gay guy that got appointed.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 41:58Speaker 1: And that was, you know, watching the show Chelsea Lately
- 42:02Speaker 1: with his mom. Yeah. And now he's like, I know
- 42:04Speaker 1: just the person to hire, you know. So he's always
- 42:07Speaker 1: real excited. But then nobody else was.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Nobody.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Nobody else was. And then I always felt like at
- 42:12Speaker 1: the end it was just sort of like disappointing. Yeah. Like, okay,
- 42:16Speaker 1: and we want to get one last picture. And they're like, yeah.
- 42:19Speaker 1: And they're like, okay, so your car is here. Goodbye.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Like they just wanted to go back to their dorms.
- 42:23Speaker 1: They're like, that wasn't– meaning your hero like wasn't what
- 42:26Speaker 1: they thought.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I know. I remember. I remember. They couldn't have been
- 42:31Speaker 2: less impressed.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:33Speaker 2: I've done like four of them. And it wasn't even
- 42:36Speaker 2: like usually here, oh, the money was great. It wasn't
- 42:38Speaker 2: even that great, you know.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:39Speaker 2: And I was just like, oh, this is all so–
- 42:41Speaker 2: and it wasn't like a cafeteria. It wasn't– some venues,
- 42:45Speaker 2: like the big venue or whatever, but these were like
- 42:47Speaker 2: little cafeterias.
- 42:48Speaker 1: This is who they should get.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:50Speaker 1: They should get people like her.
- 42:51Speaker 2: I know, like singers. Like nobody– even her. I think
- 42:54Speaker 2: she's even– like college kids are like, ooh, JoJo Siwa.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I feel like.
- 42:58Speaker 1: She's- All the college kids know who JoJo Siwa is.
- 43:00Speaker 2: You think so?
- 43:01Speaker 1: Yeah, because she's exploded after the Dance Moms.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Right. Okay.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Now, did you hear about Mattel accidentally lists adult film
- 43:08Speaker 1: website on the Wicked Doll boxes because of Wicked Films?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Wicked's a porn site, and they put wicked.com on
- 43:16Speaker 2: the boxes. And wicked.com takes you to wicked porn site.
- 43:20Speaker 1: And nobody, this is where I'm like.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Here's what I heard.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I heard this is where AI could be a problem.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Yes.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I heard they had the packaging done by AI. And,
- 43:29Speaker 2: you know, whatever. They say make a package, wicked.com. And
- 43:33Speaker 2: if a real person did it, they were like, just
- 43:35Speaker 2: so you know, wicked.com is a porn site.
- 43:37Speaker 1: That's been around since like 96.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the oldest one. Like everybody knows wicked.com.
- 43:42Speaker 2: But AI, of course, doesn't know that. So they're saying
- 43:45Speaker 2: it's AI packaging. And there you go. First AI issue.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 2: So now I don't know how they're going to. I mean,
- 43:53Speaker 2: they have to take it all off the shelves.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Yeah. I just saw, you know, even on the new iPhone,
- 43:57Speaker 1: I saw a commercial saying that like this guy is
- 44:00Speaker 1: like licks out his phone. He's like trying to write
- 44:03Speaker 1: his boss. Like, I think we need more time to
- 44:06Speaker 1: work on this project or whatever. And then he. highlights
- 44:09Speaker 1: it and then you do something like AI make it
- 44:11Speaker 1: smarter so it's like upon further review just extra words.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I know that's what they do upon.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Further review I feel given the opportunity it might you
- 44:21Speaker 1: know behoove us to spend more time on this whatever
- 44:24Speaker 1: it is do you.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Ever watch like people's court or any of those court
- 44:27Speaker 2: shows and you always see like the dumbest guy waiting
- 44:29Speaker 2: there to and you and That's what I feel AI does,
- 44:33Speaker 2: because then, you know, Judge Judy will ask them about
- 44:35Speaker 2: their case, and they'll throw in some big words just
- 44:38Speaker 2: to sound smart. On the afternoon in question, I didn't
- 44:44Speaker 2: paint her garage for a week. And then I'm like, oh, it's...
- 44:47Speaker 2: So AI just, like, flowers it up with other words.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Whatever. You would talk about Judge Judy. You'd always go,
- 44:55Speaker 1: and every case ends with.
- 44:57Speaker 2: You're going to paint that man's garage. Do you think
- 45:00Speaker 2: I'm stupid?
- 45:01Speaker 1: And also give him back the dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Give him back your dog!
- 45:05Speaker 2: You're going to give that man back his dog!
- 45:10Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 45:11Speaker 2: People used to tremble in fear on Judge Judy as
- 45:14Speaker 2: if she was handing out death sentences. But in the end,
- 45:17Speaker 2: it was always like, you just won $ 500 and you
- 45:19Speaker 2: get your dog back.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Also, whenever they do dolls to really match the star's faces.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Too creepy.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I just want to say, if I ever get to
- 45:29Speaker 1: that place... Maybe when you're on The View.
- 45:33Speaker 2: When they do The View doll collection.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Just do my hair and do my outfit, but give
- 45:39Speaker 1: me an original, cute Barbie face. Yeah. I don't want
- 45:43Speaker 1: my face molded.
- 45:45Speaker 2: You don't want it to look too good.
- 45:46Speaker 1: No, I don't want it to look like me. I
- 45:49Speaker 1: want the Barbie to just be like a super cute
- 45:51Speaker 1: brunette that's like Heather McDowell Barbie, but don't try to
- 45:56Speaker 1: match my weird fucking nose and my overbite. Like, I
- 46:00Speaker 1: don't want that.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I want just, like, a cute face.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Do the Wicked Dolls look a little too close to, like,
- 46:05Speaker 2: Ariana Grande?
- 46:06Speaker 1: Yeah, like, yeah, not that cute. Yeah. Like, a little
- 46:10Speaker 1: of a, yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Ariana Grande's kind of got a doll's face in real life.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's a little, like, pointy. You know what
- 46:16Speaker 1: I mean? It does look like her, but I'm saying, like,
- 46:19Speaker 1: I don't know. Fine for them. I'm just saying for me. Mattel,
- 46:23Speaker 1: when you do my view doll, I just want it
- 46:26Speaker 1: to just be like a cute brunette doll that's already
- 46:29Speaker 1: in your stable. Just dress them up as me. This
- 46:35Speaker 1: mother is fighting child engagement charges after her son walked
- 46:39Speaker 1: alone less than a mile from home.
- 46:41Speaker 2: To go to the store or something.
- 46:42Speaker 1: So he was 10, and I assume somebody saw the
- 46:46Speaker 1: 10-year-old walking and called the police and then the police came.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Went to her house.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:51Speaker 1: And again, this cop is just probably like, well, if
- 46:54Speaker 1: I don't do this, then I'm going to be in trouble.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Better safe than sorry.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 46:58Speaker 1: So then he went and she's like, what do you mean? Like,
- 47:01Speaker 1: you can't walk down to the store. So then it
- 47:02Speaker 1: started a lot of conversation of, you know, how overprotective
- 47:07Speaker 1: people might be with their kid. And I mean, I
- 47:12Speaker 1: feel like listen.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Listen.
- 47:16Speaker 1: It is a risk no matter where you are. And
- 47:18Speaker 1: kids that were riding on bikes by themselves and walking
- 47:22Speaker 1: home from school in the 70s and 80s, the 90s, 2000s, today,
- 47:26Speaker 1: they do get snatched. If they're of a certain size,
- 47:30Speaker 1: they have an option of getting snatched. So it's like
- 47:34Speaker 1: if you want to risk that, then you're risking it.
- 47:38Speaker 1: And that is fine. But I don't think that should
- 47:41Speaker 1: not happen. A parent should have that choice to say, yes,
- 47:45Speaker 1: anything can happen. A truck could hit my kid, you know, walking.
- 47:49Speaker 1: But I feel like if my kid's walking to the store,
- 47:51Speaker 1: he's safe in this neighborhood and we're going to take
- 47:54Speaker 1: that risk because anyone can be kidnapped anywhere. An adult
- 47:57Speaker 1: woman could be kidnapped. So, but certainly, like, let me think.
- 48:04Speaker 1: For my kids, they did ride their bike to school
- 48:07Speaker 1: once they were, in my opinion, too large to be kidnapped.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Too large.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 2: OK. So like a certain height or weight?
- 48:15Speaker 1: Well, the school was always close enough for us to
- 48:18Speaker 1: take them to. Oh, you know what? At our school,
- 48:20Speaker 1: they originally Peter did set them out on their bikes.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:25Speaker 1: And then they called and said, we do not allow
- 48:28Speaker 1: kids to ride their bikes here.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Really?
- 48:31Speaker 1: I guess they didn't feel like it was safe, the liability.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I don't know if they were getting too close to cars, whatever.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I feel like traffic. I'm more concerned with traffic than kidnapping.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I think it was the traffic. So then when Drake
- 48:41Speaker 1: became 14, then Peter, again, was like, you are going
- 48:47Speaker 1: to ride your bike. So he was riding his bike
- 48:49Speaker 1: to Calabasas, which was like big hills and stuff. And
- 48:52Speaker 1: this was before electric bikes. And he came home so tired,
- 48:58Speaker 1: took a nap, woke up. And realized, oh, my God,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm going to be late for school. And rode his
- 49:03Speaker 1: bike to school. Didn't realize until he got there that
- 49:05Speaker 1: it was 8 at night, not 8 in the morning.
- 49:07Speaker 1: He'd taken a nap. And he did it twice.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 49:11Speaker 1: He did it on another day.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Which child was that?
- 49:14Speaker 1: Drake. Oh. He woke up, at like 7.30 at night.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:19Speaker 1: But he thought it was the morning.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 49:22Speaker 1: And hopped and was in a panic that Peter would
- 49:24Speaker 1: yell at him and then got there.
- 49:26Speaker 2: It's almost a good thing nobody kidnapped him. You know
- 49:28Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 49:30Speaker 1: We also say he's such a complainer. No matter where
- 49:33Speaker 1: I take him for food. The kidnap would return him. Yeah,
- 49:35Speaker 1: like the food, everything. He'd be like, even if he
- 49:38Speaker 1: was tied up in a basement, he'd be like, I
- 49:40Speaker 1: don't know why you use these wires when you could
- 49:43Speaker 1: use these. Like, he's know-it-all. Yeah.
- 49:46Speaker 2: In two days, the kidnapper would throw him back on
- 49:48Speaker 2: the front lawn like, this guy's a pain in the ass.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Yeah. And then Brandon loved riding his bike to Crespi,
- 49:57Speaker 1: and it got stolen.
- 49:59Speaker 2: The bike?
- 50:00Speaker 3: Yes.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Oh, no. It was a very expensive bike, an electric Siron.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Oh.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And he tied it up. He didn't ask to say, hey,
- 50:09Speaker 1: I'm late. Can you put it in this private gate?
- 50:12Speaker 1: So he just put it up against something. Someone got it.
- 50:16Speaker 1: And then he calls me to tell me that it's
- 50:20Speaker 1: been stolen. And I'm like, oh, shit. And well, Peter
- 50:24Speaker 1: had a tracker on it. So he's like, I know
- 50:27Speaker 1: where it is. And it's in some, in my opinion,
- 50:31Speaker 1: not a good neighborhood of L.A. At some apartment complex.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 50:36Speaker 1: And he's like, come on, Brandon, let's go get it.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I lost my mind. Yeah. I was screaming. I was crying.
- 50:44Speaker 1: I was like, what are you doing? You're going to
- 50:46Speaker 1: approach this, like, gang member to get this bike back?
- 50:49Speaker 1: And I go, no, you go by yourself. Like, I don't,
- 50:52Speaker 1: you know, you go by yourself. You're not taking my child.
- 50:54Speaker 1: And he's like, well, I need him to help me
- 50:56Speaker 1: pick up the bike once we find it. And I
- 50:59Speaker 1: had to call my brother-in-law.
- 51:01Speaker 2: Did they get?
- 51:03Speaker 1: I had no say.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Peter's like Liam Neeson. Do you have my son's bike?
- 51:10Speaker 2: I have a particular set of skills. And I will come.
- 51:13Speaker 1: He does have the skills. He had the tracker. He
- 51:15Speaker 1: knew where it was. And I'm like.
- 51:17Speaker 2: I will come to your karma complex in Dursida.
- 51:22Speaker 1: No, so he goes, and I am like, I am
- 51:25Speaker 1: full down, Rosary, our father, just get my kid home safe.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Because I'm imagining Peter being pissed, seeing the bike, and
- 51:33Speaker 1: this guy shooting them or something.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:36Speaker 1: They get to the apartment complex and they're like, we
- 51:39Speaker 1: know it's here. Can we look at, can you, you
- 51:42Speaker 1: have a surveillance camera. Can you look and see? Well,
- 51:45Speaker 1: that person knows that they're in a gang infested apartment.
- 51:48Speaker 1: They're not going to, for their little money, they're not
- 51:50Speaker 1: going to turn on 4B, you know? And they're like, no,
- 51:54Speaker 1: I can't show you that. Yeah. And so then they left.
- 51:58Speaker 1: That was it.
- 51:59Speaker 2: So they never got.
- 51:59Speaker 1: We never got our bike back. It's not, wasn't insured. Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 1: And now? Well, I mean, we kept Brandon.
- 52:08Speaker 2: And now in the Valley, there's a low rider electric bike.
- 52:15Speaker 2: It was free. That's fun.
- 52:20Speaker 1: But I were like, you know, and I'm just thinking like,
- 52:22Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I'm like, it doesn't matter. Like, this
- 52:25Speaker 1: is why we work hard so that when something tragic
- 52:28Speaker 1: like this happens.
- 52:28Speaker 2: You don't have to.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm like, if this happened to somebody who their
- 52:31Speaker 1: bike was their only means of transportation, I get why
- 52:34Speaker 1: you would have to try and risk your life to
- 52:36Speaker 1: get it back. But we don't. Like, what are you doing?
- 52:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Well, it was a nice try. Good effort.
- 52:41Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about this story. Now,
- 52:43Speaker 1: this is a little Real Housewives news.
- 52:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 52:45Speaker 1: And it's just a little interesting. So this girl, Emily
- 52:47Speaker 1: on Real Housewives of OC. a new cast member comes on, Katie.
- 52:52Speaker 1: And Katie has an 18-year-old daughter. And Emily has twin
- 52:56Speaker 1: boys who are nine. And she goes, oh, could your
- 52:59Speaker 1: daughter babysit my kids? Sure. So they see that she's cute.
- 53:04Speaker 1: The daughter comes. She babysits them. And then off camera,
- 53:07Speaker 1: the daughter tells the mom, mom, by the way, when
- 53:10Speaker 1: I was babysitting Emily's boys, they said, Heather is mean.
- 53:16Speaker 1: Heather Dubrow is mean, who's one of the other cast members.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Sure, I know her.
- 53:20Speaker 1: So Katie, the mom, says it on camera to Tamara
- 53:24Speaker 1: as like, that's kind of funny that the little kids
- 53:26Speaker 1: must have heard some shit talking and repeated it. Well,
- 53:31Speaker 1: Heather Dubrow doesn't like that. And then Emily doesn't like
- 53:34Speaker 1: it because she's like, you've thrown my two nine-year-old boys
- 53:37Speaker 1: under the bus. And I never talked about Heather like that.
- 53:42Speaker 1: And she's like, Maybe your daughter's lying. And she's like, well,
- 53:45Speaker 1: my daughter's not lying. But, you know, yeah, you're right.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't have talked about it to anybody. So
- 53:51Speaker 1: then another person online comes together. I also babysat for
- 53:58Speaker 1: Emily once. And those kids did talk about the housewives.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Oh, whoa.
- 54:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, now an ex-babysitter nanny is like, let
- 54:08Speaker 1: me do a TikTok about this shit and get involved. Like, no,
- 54:12Speaker 1: this is why I'm sorry why robots are going to
- 54:16Speaker 1: take over.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Nannying? Everything.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Because I think people just hear stuff like this, especially
- 54:21Speaker 1: in L.A. And they're like, I'd love to have, you know,
- 54:24Speaker 1: an assistant or a housekeeper or a nanny. But like,
- 54:27Speaker 1: my God, any person that no longer works for me
- 54:31Speaker 1: is just going to like talk shit. Yeah. If I'm
- 54:34Speaker 1: a public figure.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Right.
- 54:36Speaker 1: And I know that you've had.
- 54:37Speaker 2: I have. We had an Annie.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:39Speaker 2: We loved her.
- 54:40Speaker 1: We love her now. Wait till she talks about Chris
- 54:42Speaker 1: Franjola on TikTok.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I often think about it. Does not. She got nothing
- 54:46Speaker 2: on me. I was. I'm of the people. I'm regular guy.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Like we were. We were the. We were the. Like
- 54:52Speaker 2: she always says, you guys were the greatest. I mean,
- 54:54Speaker 2: she told us stories.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Did she talk about other people?
- 54:57Speaker 2: Oh, my God. She would tell us. But she never
- 54:58Speaker 2: like said, like she was a high-end ass. She had
- 55:01Speaker 2: some big-time people that she was natty for. And she
- 55:03Speaker 2: was never about them. But she was like, this is
- 55:05Speaker 2: a person you wouldn't know, but they would do this
- 55:08Speaker 2: and that.
- 55:08Speaker 1: So she was basically doing blind items.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 55:11Speaker 1: To us.
- 55:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. More or less. Like blind items.
- 55:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:14Speaker 2: And it was like, first of all, I can't believe
- 55:16Speaker 2: anybody would even talk to anybody like that, let alone
- 55:20Speaker 2: somebody in your home watching your child. Like, it's just shocking,
- 55:24Speaker 2: the things that people say to. Yeah. I mean, I
- 55:27Speaker 2: guess they figure, you're working for me, so I can
- 55:30Speaker 2: say anything to you. Or, you know, it's wild.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Right. Yeah, it's interesting. So I just– you got to
- 55:38Speaker 1: watch who you ask to babysit. Now, I thought this
- 55:41Speaker 1: was kind of an interesting thing from In Touch. Who
- 55:44Speaker 1: knows if it's the validity of it. But one thing
- 55:47Speaker 1: about Kris Jenner is she's very nice to all the
- 55:51Speaker 1: ex-fathers and baby daddies. She would include Lamar and things
- 55:55Speaker 1: when they were still– whatever. And, of course, Scott is
- 55:59Speaker 1: the father of Kourtney's three kids. Now she's married to
- 56:01Speaker 1: Travis Barker and they have a one-year-old. And according to InTouch,
- 56:06Speaker 1: Kourtney is threatening to skip any family holiday parties if
- 56:09Speaker 1: Scott's invited. But Scott is pushing back hard. And I
- 56:13Speaker 1: just want to say, like, take the famous and the
- 56:16Speaker 1: TV show out of it.
- 56:18Speaker 2: What?
- 56:19Speaker 1: Anybody that was with a guy for three and had
- 56:22Speaker 1: three kids with him and they never got married. And
- 56:26Speaker 1: we have seen his behavior. He did struggle with, you know,
- 56:30Speaker 1: some type of, you know, hard partying and whatever. rumors
- 56:33Speaker 1: of him not being, you know, faithful, whatever. They still
- 56:38Speaker 1: had a nice thing. He's still a very dedicated father.
- 56:40Speaker 1: We give him that. But yeah, like I would be,
- 56:44Speaker 1: if I was Courtney, I'd be like, come on, like
- 56:46Speaker 1: I'm married and I have my other, my husband here.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Like what? And I have my stepkids. Like, why does
- 56:52Speaker 1: he also have to be here? Why can't just like
- 56:54Speaker 1: a normal family, him pick up the kids at noon
- 56:57Speaker 1: on Christmas. Let me have my Kardashian Christmas Eve. Yeah.
- 57:02Speaker 1: With our family, without my ex lurking.
- 57:05Speaker 2: But isn't that a big party?
- 57:08Speaker 1: It is a big party. Now, listen, like I said,
- 57:10Speaker 1: I don't know if it's true. And she might be like,
- 57:11Speaker 1: who cares? And if the kids want them there, they
- 57:13Speaker 1: want them there. But I just was saying, if this
- 57:15Speaker 1: is true, I'm totally on Courtney's side. And I think
- 57:18Speaker 1: at a certain point, it's very nice if you are,
- 57:22Speaker 1: you know, it's hard as an in-law, like if you
- 57:25Speaker 1: adored your child's ex, boyfriend, especially if there's kids. And,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you know, so you want to be that nice Kris Jenner,
- 57:33Speaker 1: all are welcome and come along and all, you know.
- 57:35Speaker 1: But also, like, at a certain point, like, it's your
- 57:38Speaker 1: daughter takes precedent.
- 57:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:39Speaker 1: And, you know, you do not want your ex.
- 57:43Speaker 2: No, I'm with you. I'm kind of with you on
- 57:44Speaker 2: that one, too.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Yeah, like, enough already.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Like, Scott, it's fine.
- 57:47Speaker 2: But now, are the exes of everybody coming? Like, I mean,
- 57:50Speaker 2: I think they all have an ex, right?
- 57:52Speaker 1: I don't think Kanye will be coming this year.
- 57:54Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Kanye. I think in the past he has.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Half the NBA, honestly.
- 57:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Lamar got a sex doll, a Chloe sex doll. I
- 58:05Speaker 1: saw that. They say the doll looks like Chloe.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw that.
- 58:09Speaker 1: But he's sober and doing stuff. He's on TV shows.
- 58:13Speaker 2: He's actually helping out other people to become sober.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Right, yeah. He has sober living houses and stuff. But
- 58:20Speaker 1: I'm sure she's like, but there was a time where
- 58:23Speaker 1: even when they were broken up, I remember there was
- 58:25Speaker 1: a birthday party of Chris's I came to a long
- 58:27Speaker 1: time ago, and they were broken up. Right. And he
- 58:31Speaker 1: came and he brought her a gift and they had
- 58:34Speaker 1: like a nice moment. And, you know, I think she,
- 58:37Speaker 1: you know, is always like, well, whatever. But that's been
- 58:41Speaker 1: annoying to the girls, too. Like at a certain point,
- 58:43Speaker 1: they're like, Mom, like we're done with these people. And
- 58:45Speaker 1: she just keeps. So I just thought.
- 58:47Speaker 2: I don't know if you've watched any of the movies,
- 58:49Speaker 2: Christmas movies this year on whether it be Hallmark or Netflix.
- 58:53Speaker 2: They all have them now. They're all doing original Christmas movies.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Lots of them. And that, what you just mentioned, was
- 58:59Speaker 2: basically the plot line of the latest Lindsay Lohan Christmas movie.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Have you seen the trailer for it?
- 59:06Speaker 1: No.
- 59:06Speaker 2: On Netflix, I believe. And Lindsay Lohan shows up with the.
- 59:10Speaker 2: new boyfriend, husband or whatever. She cuts the house. The
- 59:15Speaker 2: wife or whatever she's going is married to her ex-husband.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Then they don't know it. And knock, knock, knock. Merry Christmas.
- 59:24Speaker 1: What?
- 59:24Speaker 2: And of course into the coat room. Like, what are
- 59:26Speaker 2: you doing here? What are you doing here? I didn't
- 59:27Speaker 2: know you were married to her. I didn't know you
- 59:29Speaker 2: were married to him.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Oh, they're exes.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and now they're stuck in the house for a
- 59:32Speaker 2: week together. I guess we all know how it ends, right?
- 59:35Speaker 1: They end up back together, yeah.
- 59:36Speaker 2: I didn't know you liked orange juice. Well, you never asked.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Well, I always talk about the Dry Bar movies. Yeah.
- 59:45Speaker 1: And on Friday is when I got my hair done
- 59:48Speaker 1: for the Vanderpump thing. And they had the Dry Bar movie,
- 59:51Speaker 1: and it's all with the subtitles because people are blowing
- 59:54Speaker 1: their hair, right? And it was a Hallmark movie, and
- 59:57Speaker 1: I mean... I was watching it, and I'm like, the
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: romantic lead, in my opinion, is so 100% gay, but
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: he's liking a girl.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: And even everything about, like, I mean, it was just like,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Shannon was there, my sister, and I'm like, I mean,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: come on.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Like, the casting. Like, it's fine if he comes out. Like,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: there are gay Hallmark movies, as they should be, where, like,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: two guys fall in love. Yeah, right. Like, but come on.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: Like.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Just enough. Right. This is just so unbelievable.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: I think there's one out now that is supposed to
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: be Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey. It's a football star.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Dates a pop star.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: And then he ends up with a quarterback. He turns
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: out to be gay.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: I hope.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: That I would watch.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: That I would watch. Yeah.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I need to see that. This was interesting. This is
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: this guy, Mike Shulahead. Anyway, he was on... shaw's a
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: sunset for many years and then the show has stopped
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and he it was very bad because video did come
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: out of him being i watched it to his ex
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: and whatever punishment was given i think he's fulfilled it
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and whatever and uh anyway so he shows up in
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: my feed and he it this video i was like
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: i just have to share it with He's walking. He's
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: got his little mic. He's spending some effort in doing
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: these TikToks because otherwise you wouldn't have the mic.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: You would just be doing it on your phone.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: He's like, I just left the gym and I just
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: have to tell you the greatest thing that happened. I
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: walked into the sauna and it was packed with guys.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: This one guy there who had the biggest and I
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: immediately am like, Is he going to say I had
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: the biggest dick? Because I'm just imagining him walking in
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: and like, this is an L.A. gym. Like, no, really?
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: You have to go into the public sauna? Like, are
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: guys still like doing that? It just seemed weird. So anyway,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: and he had one of the biggest clothing lines. And
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: he goes, and then that guy came up to me
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and said, I love your content. Keep doing what you're doing.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You're such an inspiration. You make me want to work
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: out more. So then I got, okay, so he's a
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: life coach.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: That's what he's doing now?
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: He's a life coach doing social influencing life coaching.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Wait, the guy who beat his wife on camera is
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: life coaching?
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Yes, on Shaws, yes.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: What is, I mean, some people just can't go away,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: you know, just go get a job anywhere.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Like.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Who's taking his life coaching classes?
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: And he goes, you know, for years I was on
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: TV and people would come up to me all the time.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: But this meant the most, this guy in the sauna.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: And I'm just imagining just like this guy just like sweating.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: And him going in and like a towel around the
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: waist and just like, hey, man, you know, like, I
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: don't know. I just thought it was.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Oh, my God. This is.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I mean, I can't you can't blame someone, but it
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: just was it's funny. And I will talk about something
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: that makes me laugh. Now, this was not funny, I
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: feel badly. Two trucks carrying one million worth of tequila
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: from Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar's label vanished in apparent heist.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: We worked so hard. So 24, over 24,000 bottles of
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Santo Tequila. Yeah. It's co-owned by them. One missing. The
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: whole truck went missing in Texas. And I guess it
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: took 39 months. This was like the whole lot of it.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I don't even know if they have any of it now.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: It took 39 months to make this tequila. They were
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: so excited to like launch it and everything else. And
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: it has like vanished.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Really? Like where could it possibly be?
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I know. And then what do you do? Just relabel it?
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Like take all the bottles and just put a new
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: label and like sell it somewhere else?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: I don't know. You know, maybe somebody's, yeah. Or sell
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: it on the black market. I always feel that way
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: when people steal priceless art.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: And also, is there any tequila that's not celebrity owned?
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I feel like that's a big... And not only tequila,
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: like vodka, everything. It's kind of the way to go.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Maybe you make money at it. I don't know.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: I feel like at this point, we've all chosen our
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: vodkas and tequilas. Nobody goes in. Do you have the
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Heidi Klum vodka? It's like, no.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Lisa Barlow, who's a Real Housewives of Salt Lake, she
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: has one.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Nobody goes into the bar going, do you have
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: the Lisa Barlow?
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Yeah. The Lisa Barlow Vita Tequila. And then like Kathy
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Hilton was like a part owner of one. Yeah. I mean,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: obviously the Casamigos is huge.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: I also feel like, first of all, that they were
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: two guys and they were hot and cute. Clooney and
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Cindy Crawford's husband. Yeah. On a motorcycle together.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: I guess they each ride a motorcycle, but you know
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: how they say there's things or the glitches in the
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Matrix where they say you think that the little guy
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: in Monopoly actually has a monocle, but he doesn't? Have
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: you ever looked at those kind of videos where you
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: remember something different? Yeah. I literally, in my head, just saw...
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: George Clooney and Cindy Crawford's husband on the back of
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: one motorcycle.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: No, they're on separate motorcycles.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I see. It's on the side of a truck.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: But that's where I think, no, there isn't a glitch
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: in the matrix. Yeah. I just, if this is like
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: 25 years from now, someone will be like, were these
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: two guys? And they'll do like a photo and you'll
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: be like, that's how I remember it. They're both on
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: the motorcycle going with their hair in the wind and
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: the sunglasses. But no, they had two separate motorcycles. Yeah.
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Um, Yeah, I don't– yeah, it's all these collabs or whatever.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Sammy Hagar and Guy Fieri. I feel like that's a
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: good collab. I feel like they're like a similar.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Type of guy. Because Sammy Hagar always had that– he
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: had the place in Cabo Wabo.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: He's actually the original guy who– the first one to
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: do celebrity-owned tequilas. Like he was the first guy that
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: did Cabo Wabo. And I think he sold it for
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: like $ 80 million something years ago. Pretty much put Cabo
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: San Lucas on the map.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I had the best time ever. My senior year of SC,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: we went to Cabo. And whatever spring break we had
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: was not the same as the UC. So there weren't
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: really that many college kids there. So anyway, I went
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: around the beach one day, and I just told everybody
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I was hosting a party because no one was going
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: to Cabo Wabo. And I'm like, I'm hosting a party
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: at Cabo Wabo. You have to be on the list. Yeah.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: you know, you guys go, whatever. And everyone's like, and
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: then everyone just went there. They all thought I hosted it,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: but I didn't. Oh, nice. I just let everyone in.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good spot. Still there.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Still there, and it was so fun.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Do you remember on the final Chelsea Lately? He was there. Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Sammy Hago was there with his daughters, and he.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: He, whatever, voluntarily gave the entire show. Like he set up,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: remember he set up the bars?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: With all his rum and his tequila and stuff.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: It was nice of him to do.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: He's a cute guy.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Nice guy, Sammy Hagar.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: So Josh Groban is going to do a special for
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: the holidays, Go Home for the Holidays, in CBS Holiday
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Special with Jennifer Hudson and other stars. And they are
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: going to feature a live adoption of With a family
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: welcoming a child from foster care.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Oh, on TV?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Yes. Now, I love seeing these videos that where they
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: go to their child that's been with them and they're like,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: do you know what today is? Or they show them
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: at the courthouse or like the kids class all come.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Things like that. Like, I think it is like just
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I will sit and cry and I love it. And
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: so clearly some production company was like, we need to
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: get these TikTok views and do this. Um, obviously whoever
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: they do is hopefully going to say, yes, I agree
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: to it. But also, you know, legally, like a child
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: can't really agree to being, choosing to be a public figure.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: You know what I mean? So it's just like, I
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: feel like that's, yeah, that's an interesting one to put
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: on television. Why would you put that on TV?
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: And also like, what if you are like the mom
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: that lost the rights because you're, you know, cause you
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: did fuck up the third time and you have a
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: drug addiction or you're in prison and, And then the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: prison is like, let's watch the holiday Josh Groban show.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: And then you're like. Yeah. Like, I don't know. It's
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: just kind of like.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Maybe they'll do it in a different way. Or maybe
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: now that people are talking, they'll just get rid of
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: it and just highlight how great it is to be
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: a foster parent.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: You know, because it's like, you know, I guess, yeah,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: there are no orphanages anymore.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: They've all turned out to be horrible stories. Well. I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: guess that's why foster care started because they realized if
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you don't have parents, we shouldn't just put them in
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: like barracks and have like a mean like lesbian nun
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: hit them.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Isn't that the plot of Annie aren't we just you
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: know oh you're right yeah.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Oh I played Annie it's a hard knock life for
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: us it's a hard knock life for us static kisses
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: we get kicks.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Yeah yeah Yeah.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: That's a whole song. Now I'm not thinking about my
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: cotton blankets. Right.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. And then, and then the other song that I,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: the other solo that Annie had was, um, that one
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: that was like, she's imagining what her parents are like. Yeah. He's, yeah.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: She's sitting sipping her coffee. He's sitting reading a bill.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Bet you they're smart. Bet you they're something. Bet they
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: collect things like ashtrays.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Is that what she said?
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Yeah, ashtrays and art. Bet they're there good. Why shouldn't
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: they be?
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: Oh, look at this.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Their one mistake was giving up me. Well, they won't
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: play Annie now because now it's going to make the
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: parents feel real bad.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: You were at Annie in what high school?
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Thank you that you asked. It was a summer production
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: of like Broadway's Best. And several of us were Annie's
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: and I got like only the best Annie's out of
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: the two-week show got two nights.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Oh, you did two nights?
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: And I did the three things. The hard knock. Yeah.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: We had a bucket. And then that one, the solo,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: that was my favorite one.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: So you didn't do the whole show.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: You did several numbers. No, and then just Tomorrow.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Okay, The Sun Will Come Out.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Tomorrow, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Did you have a real dog on stage? Because I
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: remember that was always the big, the fun thing. They
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: would have a real dog on stage playing.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Definitely not.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Sandy, was it Sandy?
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Sandy, definitely not. And then also, she got adopted by
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: a rich, older, single man.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: He didn't have a wife.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: No.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: He didn't have older kids.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: And everyone thought that was fine. Right. I think that
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: would be weird today.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: I mean, I think sometimes they still allow it, but
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I don't know about that.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Right. I mean, it depends, you know. I actually had
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: a comedian who opened for me last week. Was it
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: an orphan? No, he had foster children, and he was
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: telling me the story about it.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Is he a single guy?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: No, he has a wife, but they have three foster kids,
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: and he was telling me the situation. He has to
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: go ask permission of the parents for almost everything. He's like,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: it's such a, they're like both in jail. And he
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: has to go to the jail to like ask the dad,
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: can I take them to, on a field trip to
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: the school? I guess state by state, it varies how
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: much you have to have the family involved.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Well, you know what, they just find out that like,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: you know, the kids, no matter, they really want to
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: be with the parents. And if they can rehabilitate the parents,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: that they feel like that is the right thing. But
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I would think it would be very hard to be
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: a foster parent.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: The funny thing was he told me that both of
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: these kids, they were brothers and one girl's sister, and
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: they were given up for adoption at like eight. You know,
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: they weren't newborns. And I was like, oh, I didn't even...
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: So I went home to my daughter and I was like,
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: you better be careful. Like, this is not permanent. Like,
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: so I'll give you up tomorrow.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Now, everybody that came from a larger family in my day,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: there was always... older siblings telling a younger one who
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: wouldn't know the truth right you were adopted and they
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: my brothers did that to shannon yeah because she was
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: blonde blue-eyed oh okay and you know it's just such
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: a cruel thing because they believe it they believe that
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: in santa they also believe like how do i know
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: that i wasn't adopted right you know and again it
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: wasn't like you know But then my mom would always say, oh, well,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: adopted children are the luckiest because everybody wants them. You know,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: like that would be the way to say it.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Good angle.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: But then, you know, but she didn't know that they
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: were telling Shannon.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Well, we have adopted children in the Frenchola family. We're decent. Yes.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Turns out my adopted nephew– he looks exactly like my brother.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: So it's crazy. My friend adopted– It turns out they
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: like morphed into like looking like each other.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: My friend adopted a daughter and she's fabulous. She's like
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: a junior or something in college and brunette. Totally looks
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: like my friend.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: I think they eventually just– people say they just eventually
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: started looking like each other.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I think it just sometimes can happen. It's just like
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: a fluke. Yeah. Okay, Beyonce, we talked about that.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: She's playing the thing. Oh, she's doing the halftime.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, like not halftime, but... The last story, Britney Spears
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: has paid her last check to KFED. Yeah. The boy
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: is over 18. The youngest one is 18. He came
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: to visit her.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: But you still got to give something, right?
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I mean, I think whatever she does will be through him. Yeah.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: So if she wants to say, why don't you live
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: here or here's an allowance or whatever... But I don't know.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: There's something about this that makes me hope and pray
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: that there could be something great coming from this.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Like what?
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Like, I don't know if she, if she.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Something great coming from Brittany?
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Something great from him being 18 and they rebuilding a relationship.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Maybe it's because he does need some assistance, which most
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: 18 year olds do. But maybe they could like, I
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: don't know, like have.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Don't they live in Hawaii or something? With.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: They were, but I'm just saying, who knows?
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, I have such a nice relationship
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: with my boys. I would just like that for her.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: And I feel like she really didn't have one like
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: the last 10 years. And so I don't know. Yeah.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: But of course people wonder now what's Cape had going
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: to live off of.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Oh, he's not going to get anything anymore. Yeah.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Why would he?
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: He's got to get something.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: No, they like, they were married for like two years. No,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: he was only getting child support. No alimony.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Huh? Yeah.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: So what's he going to do?
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Life coach. Life coach.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Why wouldn't he be?
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Life coach and also podcast.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: Podcast. Oh, I'd listen to that. And it'll be about.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Parenting because he did. He had two kids with Char Jackson,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: two kids with Brittany, and then he has a wife
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: that I think he's still with that was like played
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: volleyball or something, and they have a couple kids. Really?
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: And she's like a volleyball coach. That's why they moved
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: to Hawaii.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: He was a backup dancer, right? That's where it all began?
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a backup dancer and he.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: Had a song, Popo Zao. Remember that song? Popo Zao?
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Wasn't that his big hit? Yes.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Last story, James Dean. Yes. Now, I was thinking, there's
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: a book coming out saying, you know, he had a
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: gay lover and the gay lover said, like, you know,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: he paid him $ 800 to keep his mouth shut. And
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: James Dean was this gorgeous star that, Three of his
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: movies were like... They're like in the... They learned them.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: He only made three movies.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: He only made three movies. And he was nominated for
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: two Oscars post-death.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: For the last two. Rebel Without a Cause, which was like,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: you know, why are these kids in the 50s fighting
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: against their parents?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Rebel Without a Cause, Giant, and East of Eden, I believe,
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: were his three movies.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Yes, you are good. Anyway, I was just going to say,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: first of all, who cares if he was gay?
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: No one cares. I mean, it's always been the rumor.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: And who's going to read this story?
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Like, I.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: don't care enough. And then so the, an 80 year old,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: like he's gonna go read this book. Like I'm just
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: kind of like, does anyone, we obviously we know there
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: was a lot of gay people that had to be secretive.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Back in those days.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: In Hollywood. Like, yeah. But he had a couple girlfriends
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: and I looked up the Wikipedia and he had like,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: he went to UCLA and he had like a couple
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: girlfriends and he got very jealous of one girlfriend when
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: a guy asked her to dance. But then that was
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: when the studios, probably because they had so many closeted
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: gay actors, that's when they would put them out with people,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: you know, on, you know, now people just do it themselves.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: They just call the paparazzi and they are like, let's
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: just go meet at Craig's and act like we're dating.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: And hopefully the house will ask us back on or whatever.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: But like back then it was like a whole machine,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: you know, to be like, Oh, now we know who
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: this girl is. Cause she's dating James Dean. Right.
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: He was gay the whole time or whatever.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Well, I mean, yeah. Who's going to read that book
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: and who's writing it? Like how old is that person?
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Who's still, researching old James Dean.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Yeah, exactly. Good luck with this. But anyway, Chris, tell.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Us, where are your next gigs?
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Are you done? Are you done for the year yet?
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: Almost, almost. Getting there. Hartford, Connecticut, this Thursday night. Hartford,
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Funny Bone, Thursday night. The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire,
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: already sold out. Don't even bother.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Oh, great.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: And then Rochester, New York, Saturday night, November 23rd, Comedy...
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: At the Carlson in Rochester. First show sold out. Second show.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: You know, second show. Come on, people. Nine o'clock.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I want to say second show. So when I was
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: at Irvine, my first shows were sold out as well.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: And the second show Saturday wasn't as full. Right. But
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: I have to say it was my favorite set of
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: the night.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: They always are.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: It was so fun because I was like warmed up and,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: you know, the audience was great.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: No one was wasted.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: No one was.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: They got to go and eat dinner before. It was great. Right.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: And it was honestly so, so fun. I wasn't tired.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: I didn't mind at all. And I'm so glad because
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: we filmed that set, too, because I was like, oh,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: my God, I really think my jokes were the best
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: and the most fun then. You're a little looser.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: So go to the second show.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Yeah, anyway. Go to the second show.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: And then, of course, to finish off, Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania,
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: December 5th. Bananas in New Jersey, December 6th. This one.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: my hometown of Long Island, the Brokerage Comedy Club in Belmore,
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Long Island, on Saturday, December 7th. The strange thing is,
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: I mean, this is your hometown. I always hear comedians,
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: they're like, oh, I play, go back to my hometown,
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: sold out 10 shows, you know? They never come out
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: for me on Long Island.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Honestly, I... and from where I live. Yeah. And I
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: pretty much think they, the hometown hates me.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I, like you and I did, what was it,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: Canyon Club once years ago?
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: They're so over me. Yeah. Like my own personal friends
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: are completely over me.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: But doesn't that, isn't that the way, isn't that just
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: age though?
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: And then when I, and when I would think like,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: oh my God, I, the school's going to be so
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: excited to come see me at the Thousand Oaks Civic
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Arts Center because I, you know, I'm going to talk
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: about things that there can relate and all that. And
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: I think it's, for me, it's an LA thing. I
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: just think LA people, um, are just kind of like
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: they have, we have so many options and we're so
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: fickle and stuff. So LA is hard, but I would
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: think it would be different, not in LA, but I
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: guess it's not.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. I'm just playing a comedy club.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: There's like, I'm playing radio city music hall. Like I,
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: Brokerage Comedy Club, December 7th. Come on. One night, one
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: show only, Saturday night. Come down. And then Funny Bone
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: in Albany, the 8th of December. And then New Year's Eve,
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: I'm at Tacoma Comedy Club. New Year's Eve, Tacoma, Washington.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: New Year's Eve.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Thank you, Chris.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: Hawaii for Christmas with my family.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: What about you?
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Christmas. Christmas is going to be between like La Quinta
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and Mammoth and stuff. Just places we can drive.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: Have you decorated the house yet? People are doing– people
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: want right from– now it's perfectly acceptable. Right from Christmas–
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: from Halloween to Christmas.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: I am– I have minimal decorations at La Quinta but
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I am going to put them up. I have two
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: fake trees and balls and stuff. Yeah. I'm debating, do
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I bring, because I'm doing this, you know, I'm going
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: to be there. Do I bring some of my other
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: decorations down or do I just keep it simple and clean?
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I know Peter doesn't want me to. I know he
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: wants to not have it all decorated.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: The only reason why I say simple is because you
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: got to take it all down. That's such a pain
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: in the ass.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: I know. I think I'm going to keep it the
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: way it is. And then, yeah, so I will have
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: that up for Thanksgiving.
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: Right. Okay.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Okay. Which I normally would never, like when people were normal,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: like before Christmas was like a three month event.
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: You would wait the day out. And even the day
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: after Thanksgiving was a little soon.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: Right. My whole neighborhood is already up for Christmas. All done.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Everyone's got their lights up. Yeah. It's ready to go.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: Amazing. Chris, it's frangola.fun.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: Frangola.fun has all the dates and then cover to cover
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: is my podcast. So many- Thank you once again. I
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: do these shows live. I'm out there a lot. I'm
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: out boots on the ground. And that's why I feel
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: like I see more of this country. You too. We
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: see more of this country than most. So nothing surprises us.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: The last couple of weeks did not surprise me at all.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: And everybody gets a laugh and can enjoy comedy and
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: have a little escapism and have some fun.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: I feel like life's getting fun again. I feel like
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: people are coming out, starting to. There was a time
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: when things were going to be rough. Late night was gone.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: But I think it's happening again. Good looking people are back.
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: Here's what we got. Here's what's coming back. Late night.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Like I saw a thing the other day, like best
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: clubs in LA.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: You mean late night going out at night?
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: Like going out.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Not late night TV.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: No, late night, like going out. People were like 10 o'clock,
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: bars were closed over the last five years. But now
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: I feel like there's a little more happening.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: People are ready to live again.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, people are ready to live again.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Because they're like, how much time do we have left?
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Because I guess aliens are a real thing. They're coming.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: It's been proven. They've been here. They're hanging out. We
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: They're like among us.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: They're among us.
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: So you might as well just have fun. Because who
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: knows how much longer we have.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Who knows how long it took me to get to
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: Starbucks this morning. I think no shit does aliens among us.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: One of them was my barista this morning. No idea
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: what I was talking about. Chris, it's Chris. All right.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Love you, Chris. Bye-bye. Thank you. The car is beautiful.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Where did you end up going for it? This exclusive
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: place that Dad has connections with. They have more cars
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else. You have to
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: put me in touch. What's it called? It's Dune ADL.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: Where?
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Dune ADL. There's an accent on the E. Do you mean... Yes,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I got it on Dune Deal Cars. Lift? Please.
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: Please.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: You going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage?
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: No.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Done deal cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
