Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: It is Housewives Gloss and Glitter and we are finally, finally, finally on the first episode of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: And we are calling this our pajama party because it is 11 15 at night while we are recording.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: First of all, we were dressed fabulously for the Real Housewives of Rhode Island Chasers party at Taraza in Rhode Island.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: We didn't meet the queen of Real Housewives of Rhode Island Chasers because we don't know who she looks like, but she was there.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: So if you see this, we want to reveal yourself.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, please reveal yourself.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Although we did have really good neighbors.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: We did have great neighbors.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: But we're dressed in glitter and feathers and sequins and high heels.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And we were definitely ready for it.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: And shout out to Jeremy, our bartender.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Super cute.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Super nice.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Very nice.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Really good drinks.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And some yummy food, I have to say.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: I know you didn't have much, but it was a good time.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: No, I just had three giant glasses of rose, so I need to go to bed right after this.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Yes, so this is why we're doing this in our pajamas because we couldn't breathe in our outfits anymore.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: But anyway, we open up the first episode with Alicia, which was awesome.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: So we don't open up with taglines.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: We just we don't know the taglines until the second episode, which is the same as any housewives season.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: So if you're an actual die-hard fan, you already know this.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: So we don't know the taglines yet.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: But we open up with Alicia and it's family day, and she's got like her mother and aunts coming over.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: And they drive a whole 15 minutes and absolutely rag on her for it.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: I think she lives great.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: She lives in Providence.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: That's where it's all happening.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: I just think it's funny that they're like, oh, Alicia's been saying she's been like wanting to move back home, and like we've got to drive 15 minutes.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, 15 minutes.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: She's like, and one of her aunts is like, I could have driven from your house and to your house and back in the amount of time it takes to get to Alicia's.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: And but part of me is like, this part of New England, I think that's really funny because Slater wanted to move back to this part because it took us so long to drive anywhere on the North Shore.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: The North Shore's traffic is like unpredictable.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: 20 minutes here gets you so much further than 20 minutes in Boston and the North Shore.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: That was really funny.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: And it was also like the aunts were complaining that she and her fiance aren't actually married yet because they've been engaged for what, like nine years?
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: And they're like And they have their daughter together, her mini me.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: I mean, from the look on her face, it seemed like she didn't she wasn't interested in getting married.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: That's like the take that I got.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Is like she's not like waiting for a ring from him.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: It seems like she just doesn't think she just doesn't want to get it.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she doesn't seem like she's like interested in doing the whole like wedding thing.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Is kind of like my I mean, I guess we'll find out, but it didn't seem like it seemed like she was the one that didn't really want to do that, but I don't know.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a hundred percent.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: She's like, Yeah, maybe this summer, maybe next summer, maybe in 10 summers, right?
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, they've already they have like a beautiful house too.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: They do, they have a beautiful house.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: They have he has multiple restaurants.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: One is Pizza Mama, which I've been to, and it's delicious.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: And shout out to my sister-in-law who just wants a year's worth of free pizza.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Alicia.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm like, oh, when are you gonna take me?
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Soon, right?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Like this weekend, hopefully.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: We need to have a housewife's goss and glitter first birthday party in the fall.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: We do, and definitely order from Pizza Mama.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Perfect.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: And then we should probably also go to Taraza though, considering apparently Rula hangs out there.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Gossip has it.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Well, so interestingly, before we go into any more, we do not meet Rula in the premier episode, which is very interesting.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: I feel like they're teasing this whole like Kelsey Rosie fight, but the reality is this Rula situation.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, 100%.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: I feel like because we've seen it in so many previews, and then we don't meet Rula at all.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: So it's gotta be nothing.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: You don't even know that she exists.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: I think it's gonna be like a big thing.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: And I think just like her personality and Liz's personality are both really strong, and I feel like they're trying to make it seem like it's like this cute little like Kelsey rosy fight, but really it's like Rula's marriage is gonna be the big storyline, I think.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Did you notice though that whenever they did the preview of all the girls in front of the show, that there was no like one main girl, like Liz was the closest to the main, but like no one was super front and center.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Which was very funny.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Which is interesting.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: So, like, we don't have an emerging, I guess, queen yet.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: But that's the thing, is when they do the taglines, then at the end they'll all be holding like the pearl, and then there's gonna be one in the center.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: So maybe if they're keeping us all in suspense.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: I saw something that was like Liz is in the middle, blah, Liz was not in the middle.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: They had a definite.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: I could see Liz people in the grand um of the Yes.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: I think she could, but I think like in the photos that we saw tonight, they put enough, like two people in the middle enough that didn't look like she was front and center.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: They're not revealing it yet.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: They're being good at the secrecy stuff.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So then after the like family party at a leash's, then we move to like they're introing Liz, and she is emerging from her waterfront mansion in a black Versace robe walking walking her cat on a leash.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: I can't even it's funny because like in Salem, I know this sounds funny, but like walking a cat on a leash was like a typical thing that you would see in Salem.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Like I saw someone walking their parent one day and there were so many dogs, so it just kind of fit.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: But to see someone like in their mansion on the water with all these huge windows that obviously like doors that open up and just to come out and be like, Oh, are your paws too hot?
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: I'm like, if I ever walked my cat kitten on a leash, I would ask you to just double check that I was okay.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Like, just I need to know I liked her robe and I've been wanting that robe, but I want it in the hot pink and like yellow and blue, like the tropical colors.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like you would.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: This is a Versace robe, it's not velore.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it's like a Versace velore robe.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Is it velore?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: It looked like it had like the velore burnouts.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, I don't know.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Um, but I don't have one.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not uh it's not out of the realm of possibility to get one.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: I feel like it's reasonably priced, but I want the I want the really bright colored one.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: And I definitely don't have a black one.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: You need a pink one.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: You need a pink one.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: But I have literally so many robes.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: But the thing is, is a lot, most of them aren't cozy.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Like they're the silk ones.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I want a cozy one like that that you can like walk around and that's what I would like.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: You need a cozy one.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: Anyway, that was pretty awesome, and that's basically it.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Like, she just mentions that she and her husband have the cannabis dispensary, which is called Slater's.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I did email, well, I did DM her on Instagram and ask her if it was named after Slater Park, because that's what my husband is named after, and she never responded.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: But I tried because you do have like a huge it's like a big thing in Rhode Island is Slater Park.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Like, where else are you getting the name Slater?
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know, and that's Zoe's husband's name is Slater.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: So I need to know, and he was named after the park in Rhode Island, so uh no, right, not after Say by the Bell.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Then we meet Kelsey, and we find out that Kelsey is a lady of leisure, so she's been like a sugar baby since 11 years.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: So from she's 30 now, so basically from like 19 to 20, she's been with this guy who's Liz's age, and Liz is 55.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: So Kelsey's 30, this guy's 55, but she's they're in an open relationship.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: She's it she's admittedly a sugar baby, but like they've also been together for 10 years, so like obviously something is working about this relationship.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: And I guess he spends five months of the year in Miami at this other girl's house, and then she has their ginormous mansion in Rhode Island to herself for those five months.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: All to herself.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she even makes a joke that the bedroom is a different zip code and she has a staff.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so basically, I'm taking this like he he essentially has two wives, but they're not like he's not married, but like you also can't be married to two wives in Florida and Rhode Island, so No, I mean I'm just sort of taking it like I'm just yeah, because you can't legally be married to two people and if you legally married them in like Utah and then you moved.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: But why would he do that?
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: What I'm saying is like it sounds like for all intents of purposes, like he's got basically two wives, and they all know we've bought each other and they're fine with it because for half the year these women are like living it up by themselves in these mansions.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: And like basically her thing right now is she's saying, like, okay, I'm 30, I might want something more than like what I've had for the last 10 years.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Like, she's missing him because he's gone all the time.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: But she's like well aware that the relationship is open, obviously.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: So that's who we meet before the first commercial break.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: My big note there is that like Alicia's confessional looks are like the best.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: The red gloves, the black gloves, the black cross, the lace.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love the black lace look.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Like, she looks really good in the confessionals for sure.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: And I've seen some clips of her in the after show, and like she looks really good in those two.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, I really like like Liz's outfit, it is dramatic.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Rose Rosie has the feathers.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: And the lilac, yeah.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: And the lilac, but I have to say Alicia's our number one.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: Team Alicia over here, okay.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think from the first episode, I like Alicia and Liz the best.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: Alicia is like my number one, and I was expecting that from the prior clues that we had, but this like confirmed it, which is good because I didn't want to be disappointed.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, true, true.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: But the confessionals, the family, the accent.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: That was so funny.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: She tries to be on like everyone's side.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: She was really nice.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: She was.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: I liked she didn't seem to have like she doesn't want to like strangler for like having a horrible opinion or like talking too much.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: It just seems very like, oh, I want everyone to like be friends and I've known everyone forever.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: So we get back from the commercial break and we meet Joelyn.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: Dun dun dun.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: So Joelan's kind of like the villain of the first episode.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: I gotta say, I don't know if I like Joelan.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: So Joelan is number one the potster.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: The second thing is that she's married to Gary, who they mentioned like a few times, Gary used to date Joelan's sister.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: But the thing is, is like they keep mentioning this.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: This is like even middle school, I thought they said.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: I'm like, all right, I mean, come on.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: But it's funny because that's not even like you're like 30 minutes in, like 30 minutes passes towards the end, and Alicia's like, oh, he may have hooked up with her sister at one point.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: And it's like, but they were teenagers, but they were teenagers.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Also mentions though that like her sister liked him and she was like, Oh no, he's gonna be my husband.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: So they are high school sweethearts, yeah, from the sound of it.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: And but I don't know, does her sister like her is her sister okay with this?
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: She's 38 years old.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: I would hope that like that's over now.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Three kids.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like so hopefully.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: You know what the only thing that I thought was weird is that they were talking at the Fourth of July party about Joel and hooking up with this guy at the tanning salon and the guy's wife at the tanning salon.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Yes, like they were also hinting at not only Kelsey being a swinger, which we'll get to, which she's not a swinger, she's in an open relationship.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're but they're they're talk they're talking about Joelan also being a swinger, and that's when I got confused because I'm like, but hasn't she been with this guy since middle school?
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: They brought up Joel in with this guy and the swingers, like I felt like it was recently because so-and-so knows so-and-so through this, and they even like at the 4th of July party, they're like, Oh, she's a swinger.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: So is she a swinger?
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: And like, we're not supposed to know, but like Alicia knows the deets.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Alicia knows the deets because she's known everybody since like kindergarten.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: So the fun the thing that I think is funny about this is this is like a thing on the Cape too.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: So like Rhode Island is basically like the size of Cape Cod, wouldn't you say?
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, 100%.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: And I so maybe even smaller.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's like you can drive across Rhode Island, I think, in like 45 minutes.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: An hour.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: An hour.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Because it takes an hour from here.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, so maybe 45 minutes an hour from here to like Ashley's coffee shop.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Okay, so it's an hour max.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: So like I'd say from my mom's place in Falmouth, you can get to P Town with no traffic in about an hour.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: So they're like approximately the same size, and like the Cape is like this too, where there's a lot of swingers, but people just don't talk about it.
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: And there's also a nudist colony on Cape called Sandy Terraces, and that's in Marston's Mills, and it just has like a big giant fence around it, but you would you wouldn't know that unless you knew that there's like this nudist population and all of these swingers, and the only reason why you know that is if you know people that are like involved because otherwise nobody ever brings this up, but it is a thing.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Because of you, but I remember being like I've never been to the nudist colony, FYI.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: I'm not what I will say is I'm curious to see it, I guess, but John said.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: So what do you can go stay there?
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I want to stay.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: I'm just cu like I have a curiosity of like the place and what it's like and what the accommodations are, I guess.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: But midgetvale, and it was like all the small campaigns.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: I'm not even gonna make the comment, I was just gonna make.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: I know it's inappropriate.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: This is gonna have to be cut.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: But anyway, that's what it was called.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: I know because I've been there with my sister.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: They're cute, they're cute, cute, and I are there, but that's what it was called 25 years ago.
- 16:01SPEAKER_01: Can we say that uh we understand that this term is offensive, but when we were in high school, it was okay.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: I don't even know if we should.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Literally 20, 25 years ago.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: We weren't in high school 25 years ago.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: I graduated in 2006 and is 2026, so it's been 20 years ago, and I'm pretty sure I went in like okay, but can we not say we've graduated 25 years ago?
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Because you I graduated 20 years ago, and I've probably known about it for 25 years.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: For the record, I graduated in 2009, but neither one of us graduated 25 years ago.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Let's get that straight.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: Secondly, there was there's a place we're now going from the swingers to the nudest colony to there's this place called Midgetville down Cape.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Bringing it up because it was like a thing that everyone knew on Cape, but it had nothing to do with actual people, it had to do with the size of the houses.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: I saw, okay, so my sister, my friend Shannon, and I, sorry Shannon, if you're listening to this from softball, we would take drives at like I don't even know, like one in the morning, and we'd drive down to Midgetville, and we did see a few little people.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: No, there's no hands.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: Hand to God! Hand to God, hand to God, and they were the cutest little houses.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying it was a neighborhood, it wasn't a full neighborhood of little people, but there was a couple some little people.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: They look like the little gingerbread houses for a vineyard.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: They're adorable.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: They are, but like we called them that because they were just like camps, so they were like half the size of a normal house.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: I don't think I ever went expecting.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: We did.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: And we also just we went and Shannon had like a really old convertible with those Roxy flower, like on the top, it was like a white soft top, but it had like these blue, those blue Roxy flowers.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: It was so cute.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: I kind of want a car like that.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: I remember us going and like really liking the houses, and it was winter time, so no one was staying there, and like Teresa and Jason took pictures on the porch, but Jason was like taller than the porch.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because he's humongous.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: Like, and sat in the back of your yards with him, and he's huge.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: So I just remember that, but like that's the cape.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: Everyone has a rumor, everyone knows everything.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: But Sandy's Harris's is not a rumor, that's a real nudist colony.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: I know, but I'm just saying, like, everyone knows like my mom lived in East Ham.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: We moved around my entire childhood, right?
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Like, she met my dad in East Ham.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: And then her best friend lived in Nosset, and then somehow we moved to Hyanis, and I dated someone from Yarmouth, and her best friend from Felmouth knew.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: This is why they should have a Real Housewives of Cape Card.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Because this is like, this is one of the reasons why I wanted to watch Rhode Island, because this is exactly what it's like growing up.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Her best friend knew the dad of a guy that I dated, even though we didn't live in the state.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: We lived 35 minutes apart.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: It was just Yeah.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: That was the thing.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Everyone knew someone who knew someone.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Who knew someone.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: And that's what Long Island is.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: And there's a lot of swingers and both places just FYI.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: Well, it's vacation towns.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: And that's true.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: And then, like, as far as the nudes colony goes, I am curious about it.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: I didn't really want to go to Sandy Terraces.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: What I did suggest to John is we go to a is we go to a resort in the Caribbean that you can be nude if you want.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: And he was like so vehemently against this.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: I think I'm with John.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't know.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: If you just do it the one time, I don't understand.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: If you just do it the one time of your whole life, like what is so terrible about this?
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: You just go, no one that you know is there.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: The people that are also there in the nude don't know you, and you'll never see them again, and you don't have to do anything.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: I just I think he's just too shy for naked socializing.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Not my cup of tea.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Not my cup of tea.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: I have to say him with John.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: I just want to see like how it goes.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: Like, I want to see how people like it.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: But like what happens if you get there for like a day and you're like, this sucks, and then you're stuck.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: You could say that about any vacation.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: But like what happens of like you really just You would just check out like any other vacation.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: If you showed up to a hotel and you didn't like it, you'd do switch hotels.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: That could happen anywhere you go.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: But like, what are the chances of it really happening if you're not a nudist hotel?
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: It's probably higher at a nudist hotel.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Because it's a nudist hotel.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: People get awkward and weird and then you're like, ugh, I don't manage people.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: Why are they all I'm just saying I'm just would be curious just to know what it's like.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: Like you don't want to go to like a root there's some like five-star resorts where you can just like be topless.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Like you've no interest in.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but that's not a nudist colony.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: I'm not talking about visiting I don't know how I feel about visiting the colony.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm I don't want to be a part of the colony.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: I am curious to know more about the colony, and I guess I would want to see it, but I'm talking about like a beautiful Caribbean five-star hotel where you could just like be chopless and fully in the nude in the pool if you wanted to.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Like that that makes more of it.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: But like, are you gonna have are you going to a place with a bunch of dicks or are you going to a place with just boobs?
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Anybody can be naked.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: So there are gonna be some men who are also naked.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: But that doesn't mean you have to hang out with them.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying if you didn't if you were in a relationship and then you guys decided you didn't want to do that, then you just say no.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, you're adults, like you can be like, no, I don't want to do this.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: You just be like, no, thanks.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, John and I have been invited to game night by known swingers.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: And Okay.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: I was game night and there was no swinging.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: That wasn't yes, but you need to clarify.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: These were known it wasn't you that invited us.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: These were known swingers.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: And he was like so mortified, and I was just like curious, not because I wanted to be with them, but because I was curious to know who else would be there and how they pair up.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Like there's no part of you that's curious about that.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: I just want to know.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: I want to know more.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: I want to know more about Jo Allen and Kelsey.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: And just more about like what they do and like how this works.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: I just just it's just interesting.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: It's a point of interest.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Well, we'll keep a tab we'll keep tabs on that and we'll have to find out how that goes.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: So then after we meet that.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: And I also prefer to swim in the nude.
- 22:58unknown: Okay.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: If possible.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: Let me know if you want me to keep that in the morning.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: And then let me know if you want me to keep that in by the time we roll around in the morning.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: That I'm fine with.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: I'm more skeptical about the midgetville story, which we might have to cut.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: We'll figure that out.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Anyway, after we meet Joelyn, we and we've met Liz.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: We've met Kelsey.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: And then now we're on to like officially Joelyn, right?
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: We're on to Joelin.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: She is like the troublemaker of the group.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: She's married to Gary, who used to date her sister.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: And like they just basically go out to eat together, and like that's all we really know.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, the only other thing that she mentions is she has sort of like a troubled relationship with her mother, but they haven't like gone into detail about that.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: So like obviously, like there's more to that story.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Then we meet Rosie and she pulls up to Alicia's and her pink Jeep, which is really cute.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: It's so cute.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: And then she uh pulls up to Alicia's, not only with her pink jeep, but those bouncing moonshoe things.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: She brings a pair for Alicia.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: And then they go like hopping together, which I really want to do also.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Where do we have to get that?
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: I've never seen those.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: I don't think the only thing that I will say is we've already said this in our intro video, but like they remind me of a better version of moonshoes, which a mom would not buy me because she said that they were dangerous.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: But moonshoes were like they were like trampolines for your feet.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: We'll have to hold into this because if we can get them for the canal, or maybe we can go down to wherever they were bouncing around.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: I want to get them.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: We can get them for the canal.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Where were they bouncing around?
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: I'll have to find out.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: They're waterfront homes.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: So basically, yeah, so they hang out.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: Rosie wants to be a part of this click.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: So the click is between Kelsey, Liz, Joelan, and Alicia.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: But she doesn't like Joelan because Joel and has a reputation of being a troublemaker that precedes her, and because Joellen recently had like a get together at her house.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: And talk shit.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: And she was like rude to Rosie, basically.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: But we don't know like what she actually said to her.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: She just said that she talked shit behind her back and she overheard.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: And so she's keeping it.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: It's like awkward.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: And I think it had to do with the six dollar bottle of wine.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: So apparently, like Rosie, when she went over to this get-together, brought a bottle of wine as like uh thanks for inviting me over thing, and it was like a six dollar bottle of wine.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: But like we still don't know if that's like the full thing or not.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: Like they're just kind of like that's what we hear from like Ashley.
- 25:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: So that's one thing, but we also find out that Rosie's having this like picnic and she's inviting the girls.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: So like Jo Ellen is also gonna be at this picnic.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, she extends the invite to Joelan to like make amends and like get to know her better.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: And what it is, she's filming it for her T T V show, Rosie's Is it like a YouTube channel?
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: I think so, but it was like Rosie's Roadshow.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: What was it?
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: Something like that.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: I don't have my notes in front of me.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Because we're using the my phone as a video recording, but yeah, it's like Rosie's Roadshow or something like that.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: And she has people filming it there and it's like a collaboration, but it's very Yeah, it's like a little drama fair.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: So I'm not sure exactly what she was hoping for.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Well, first of all, it gets to be drama-filled because they end up playing a game of never have I ever.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: And like we make it through like two questions before a fight breaks out.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: Well, first of all, never have I ever is a game where you specifically target other people.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: Like you say things that you've never done that you know somebody else has done, so that they have to put a finger down.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: Like that's how everybody plays that game.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: I enjoy how Ashley goes, My hand is always up the entire time.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Ashley's like not ready for this group.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's just like, My I never have a finger go down ever.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh, this is so funny.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: I thought it was funny when they were talking about like like sh the first question when he was like, Oh, I've never done any butt stuff.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: And was it Alicia that was like, I would punch somebody that ever tried to go near my butt?
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: With I think it was her.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: Who was like, oh my god, but like, yeah, that game is just like you use it, yeah, you use it to target people and you want to get them out first.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, like one of the questions is like, I've never been on a polygamous relationship.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: So that was Rosie that brought that up, and it's like because Kelsey's not even there, but was she talk also talking about Joelan?
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but Joelan based it on Kelsey, and then since the whole episode telling Kelsey that Rosie is talking shit.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, so that was really random.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Rosie's like, never have I ever been involved in polygamy, and like Joel and gets really offended.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: And I feel like Joel and gets really offended because she's friends with Kelsey, but I feel like she also gets really offended because she's the swinger herself.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: But we don't really know that.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: We don't really know that, but like making assumptions, that's like kind of what they're saying.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: So they're thinking that like this is targeted towards Kelsey, Joel and doesn't like that, and basically they're just talking about like when Kelsey's boyfriend is in Miami with this other woman that he spends half the year with, like, she also has a boyfriend, which like to me, I'm like, okay.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: It makes sense.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, it does.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: If you're in an open relationship and they're gone six months out of the year, like, what are you supposed to do?
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: I also just feel like this guy, although he's not showing his face on camera, like he knows that she's filming, he knows that this relationship is on camera, so like obviously they're in a completely open relationship.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, what's the scandal?
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: That article you sent me today mentions who it is.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so like he obviously is fine with it.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: So what's the find out who it is if you deep dive far enough?
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: I just don't see like the point.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: It's like, yeah, they're in an open real like they're open about being in an open relationship.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: He's with another woman for half the year and she dates or whatever.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: Like, what's the problem?
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: I see no issue with this lifestyle.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, from what I gather, she has the biggest drama this is this episode.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like she has a huge mansion to herself for six months out of the year where she can date or not date, spend all this time in a luxurious spot while he's in Miami, and then he comes back and she has a second boyfriend.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm just like, I don't know what they're like riding her about.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Like, I understand if she's saying, well, now I'm 30 and I might want to settle down and spend more time with my partner, but that's not like a scam.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't see what either one of them are doing anything wrong.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Like they obviously have an agreement.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Like now is like, because she's brought it up a couple times, is that they're not married, so if they did break up, nothing would happen.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: Like she wouldn't get anything for it.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but like so?
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like, it does she doesn't work or anything like that.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: So it's like No, she doesn't, but she's been enjoying this, and she's also saying she cares about him.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: So maybe she does genuinely enjoy the relationship and isn't using him.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: That's just the relationship that's like.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: I don't think she's using him.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like, it she mentions that she wants it to go further.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: Like, if she wanted kids, there's no benefit to her being with him right now because they're not married.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: So she's not gonna get any spousal support or alimony or anything like that if they did break up.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: And that would be my like only concern of her wanting to like branch out and like be like, oh, maybe this lifestyle isn't for me.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: She's gonna have to get a job and like restart.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: So then like Rosie starts crying at the picnic when Joelyn, like, really goes in on her for like talking about this.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: So Joel and like, Oh, I didn't want to make you cry.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Let's just like move past this and start all over.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like she just it just seemed like to her, like this is like nothing, and Rosie's like really emotional about it.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: She's like freaky out about it, and then Joel's like, I want to start all over, and by the way, come to my fourth of July party.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, right.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: So they're having a big 4th of July party, and like Joelyn doesn't know like what the 4th of July is.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: Like, she mentions Plymouth Rock, but she's also like, Well, that's in Massachusetts, which is our neighbor, and like it has something to do with the Nina Pinta and Santa Maria.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: I'm like, You know what the Fourth of July is.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Was definitely missed part of that talking to the person next to me about how she was Rula's husband's mom's hairdresser.
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: This is why when you were gabbing for part of it, I was like, I'm not even responding because we need to watch and take notes.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, but I also need to gather other dr other stuff, like meeting someone who knew Rula's intelligence gathering.
- 32:20unknown: Okay.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was intelligence gathering.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: So Joelan is having a big 4th of July party, but she doesn't know what the 4th of July is.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: Also, was that like a rental house that they were having the party?
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Because I was like confused.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: And then they're going to a different house for the party.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, is this just like an Airbnb that they're having the party?
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Maybe, but that would be really weird.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: And a lot of times you can't have parties at Airbnbs, but like she had like caviar wieners and a oyster bar.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: But that would make sense.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: I didn't think about that.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: I guess we'll have to see, like, when they keep filming, like what her house maybe she just says two a beach house and a regular house.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: What did they say that Joelyn's husband did?
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I know she does like cosmetology stuff.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: And she does like the med sales.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: I honestly don't think they mentioned what her husband does.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: So we're not sure.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:23SPEAKER_01: Um, then like they kind of flash over to Ashley and Jared because we haven't like really seen them together yet.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: So basically they just like have a coffee shop called Audrey's Coffee Shop.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: They met on The Bachelor.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Um they both could make a ton of money influencing, but they have the coffee shop so that way he doesn't have to do that very often.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like which props to them because influencing is a lot.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and he it seems like he doesn't like really want that right now.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: And also Zoe thinks he has a jawline implant.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: Did he look like that like seven years ago on The Bachelor?
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: I think he just like has a nice jawline.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: That is more than a nice jawline, and he also needs a better beard.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: It doesn't grow in right.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: He has a couple bald spots, but I really think he has implants.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: Like, there's no way.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: There's no way that's a natural jawline.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: Not even close.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: So if Zoe were single, she'd be one of those people that are pointing out every minor flaw about a man.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: She'd be like, you have like a couple of bald spots up spots on your beard.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: You don't have a beard if you have a bald spot.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Don't.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: John.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: I just called you John.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Zoe, that's like so shallow.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: There's one thing about like if you have like the bald spot because you like picked it too much, but like if your beard is like super splotchy and it barely grows in, you don't need it.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Call it a day.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: I just feel like there's a lot of people out there that are saying that like it's so unfair how much men criticize women's looks, and then we're sitting here saying this guy has a two-defined jawline and a couple of bald spots on his beard when he was basically like perfect looking.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: How Zach Afron Zach Efron fell against his fucking stupid fountain, and then suddenly his jaw grew like 15 sizes.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: I have no idea what that is about, but it's a true thing.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: It just maybe it's it's just too perfect.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: I I'll need to go back a few episodes.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: So anyway, that's them, but they will be carpooling to the 4th of July party with Rosie and Rosie's husband, the Frank Sinatra singer, not Ember.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: Yes, singer DJ House Flipper.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: That was really funny.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: I think that it's crazy though that they actually want a carpool because like if I wasn't comfortable at a party, I don't know if I have a carpool with someone.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: I think I'd rather be able like slip out.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: Because, like, what happens if Ashley and Jared are having like a wicked good time?
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: I think that like she and Ashley are just like on the same page, and that's probably why.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because that makes sense.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: But I'd rather be able to be like, bye, adios.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: I'm not waiting.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Irish goodbye.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: They arrive together.
- 36:12SPEAKER_01: Um, the other girls go to greet them, like Ashley and Rosie, and Ashley brings like a fireworks bouquet and a more expensive bottle of bubbly to make up for her fire.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: We're talking about Rosie, not Ashley.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: And Joelan does not like the fireworks bouquet.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: No, and Joelan also wastes like zero time in telling Kelsey about the story that Rosie was like talking about her at the picnic.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: Like she literally wastes like no time telling her this at the party.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: 15 seconds like into the party, and she's like, oh, but wait.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: And then Kelsey wants to cry.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Also, though, we haven't mentioned that we get to meet Dolores at the party.
- 36:54unknown: Yeah.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: She shows up with Liz.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: And I hate, hate, hate Liz's skirt in the for the party.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: That big weird oversized cat.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: I think she was just dressed as like a more tradition 4th of July, which was like unexpected.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: Like I wasn't expecting her to have like the braid with the white outfit I was expecting her to be in all black.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: I like the white tops.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: It was cute.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: She looked great, except from like the waist up.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: I did not like the skirt.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: I thought the skirt made her look like Frumpy.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: But then I thought Dolores looked like fabulous.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and they look so alike.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Like it's a good one.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: I'm seriously like they look like they could be sisters, and it's really weird.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: Like the only difference is Liz just has like a s a more ovular face, but otherwise they look exactly the fucking same.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: It's so weird.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: It's crazy.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: So they know each other only for a couple of years because they met at like a cannabis convention because Dolores' ex-husband Frank started getting into the cannabis business, and like as everybody knows who watches New Jersey, like she and Frank are still like BFFs.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: So they were like at this cannabis convention together, and that's where she met Liz.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: So now like they're friends, which I do like.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: I enjoy that.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: Um and like I know Liz has said in some interviews that like in some of the other Housewives franchises, like the other housewives are like actually like closer in age to her.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: So she like enjoys that.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: So like she's 55, and then the youngest on the show is Kelsey, who's 30.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: So we've got Kelsey who's 30, Rosie's 34, Alicia is 41, Ashley and Jo Ellen are both 38, and then Rula's 45, and Liz is 55.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: So she's like she's like much closer in age to Dolores, basically.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know how old Dolores is, but she's gotta be at this point like 50.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: Like she and Teresa at this point have gotta be like f 50, maybe.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: Because their kids are in their own.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: And they've been on the show for like exactly.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: So yeah, so she's been and she's been like she appeared on the show in like season one, so she's gotta be.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 39:11SPEAKER_01: Good point.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: Good point.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: So yeah, they're friends, which is nice.
- 39:15unknown: It's fine.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: And then, yeah, so like that whole gossip comes out at the party.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: Like, I didn't really think the Kelsey Rosie interaction was like that explosive.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: No, I thought it was fine.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: It seemed like they were just trying to like talk it through, and then like as you do at a party, you just kind of sweep everything under the rug.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: So Right.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: They also have keep flashing over to this guy that's making like caricature portraits of everyone.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: But again, I was still talking to that girl next to us who did the hair.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: She was so nice, and she was super interested about the podcast.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: I couldn't not network.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Did you give her a card?
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: Yes, I did.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you guys want a housewives gossip glitter business card, let me know.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: We have a lot.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Billy just listen to the podcast more often.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Listen to the pod.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: Also listen to our book club version of the pod, which is really funny.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: And that's Ashley's favorite version.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: So if you haven't listened to the one about Money Lies in the Housewives or Cop Without a Badge.
- 40:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, they're really funny.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: And if you don't like actually want to read the books, we go and do like a chapter by chapter summary.
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: And if you've ever wondered what the hell is in cop without a badge, like you should have to be able to do that.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: You will find out.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: And if you ever want to find out how Ash and I sound after like six drinks, also listen to Copy.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: We start off really strong.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: Like three quarters of the way through, maybe you could zap it, but like for the most part, it's really good.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: And then also if you've ever found out the T behind like Envy, which is Melissa's store, you should listen to Book Club.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: But that's why I'm song the woman today.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: Because you know that the housewives this season are apparently only getting paid twelve hundred dollars an episode.
- 40:59SPEAKER_01: And when it comes to the really low for 2026, I could see that for like 2009, but 2026 is like that's crazy.
- 41:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, I guess that they're basically just saying, like, this is your I mean, I know everybody's debut season, they make basically nothing until they explode and then they make a lot.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, because they but it's just$1,200 for 2026 seems low.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: But I do remember listening to something about the Jersey Shortcast saying that like their first episode, like they would give them, I think, some money to go out and then like give them like drop off like food and diet coke at the house.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: Like they weren't actually like paid their first season, but then the second season they negotiated and they all had like really big contracts, so it's like so hopefully that, but according to her, yeah, they didn't get they don't get more than twelve hundred dollars an episode on like Joel and whole party, she had to foot the bill for everything.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: But for what we read, like for New Jersey, like that's not the case at this point.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: No, but if you read like Jackie, though, she was on season seven, she didn't even get paid for showing up to the other interview.
- 42:01SPEAKER_01: And like we said, she should have negotiated better because at that point that she's working with Melissa, who's But how good are like these attorneys though?
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: They can negotiate the ladies from this season down.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: Because these are completely new people to Bravo, like they had no following or anything until it started leaking that they were gonna be on the show.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're pretty like private up until recently.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: I was looking at Alicia's Facebook and she's gone from 4,000 followers to like 7,000 followers.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: So it's gonna grow to be a lot more now, yeah.
- 42:36SPEAKER_01: So they're like relatively private people at this point, especially when they were like actually filming.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: So yeah, true.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: No one really knew.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but anywho, we're at the party.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Drama ensues between Rosie and Kelsey.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: Uh Joelyn doesn't like the fireworks bouquet, they light sparkles.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: What's wrong with the fireworks bouquet?
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: No, I like it.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: I also like giant sparklers.
- 42:59SPEAKER_01: We had those at my wedding.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just had sparkler fountains at my wedding for the first dance.
- 43:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that sounds really cute.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: It was.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: And a light-up dance floor.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, your wedding, I wish I could have gone.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Just have another one.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Such a bad friend.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: I tried.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: I tried my best.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: This is a job that literally gave me no vacation time whatsoever.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: None.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Zero.
- 43:21SPEAKER_01: And now we're still friends, and she doesn't work at that job, so.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: But I tried my best, okay?
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: And if you had a second wedding, I would go.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: Am I having a second wedding because of the is this about the nudist colony?
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 43:35SPEAKER_01: Just have a John's broken up with me because of my interests in the colony.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: Have a like a 10 year anniversary soon.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: And just have a big party.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: Anyway.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: Let's power down.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so we're still at the party, nothing too explosive happens.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: Kelsey and Jo uh Rosie go at it.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: Joelyn says her part, and then That's really it.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: That's really it.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: They're still at the party when we end the episode.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: So this was like the premiere.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: There's gonna be another full episode on Sunday, and that's where we'll get like the full, like official first episode, the taglines, and the whole shebang.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because we be it was just basic because even Ashley going to Jared's to the coffee shop, it's just basically the Kelsey Rosie thing.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: This is apparently like the thing.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: It is going to be the thing actually for a few episodes.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: I just don't think it's like I think that they're just teasing us with this, and they're like Rula's entry is gonna be like the big thing, and they're holding it back.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: That's like the only reason why I could think of what they were doing.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: We go into Rula because her husband is the one that puts the tracker in her car and the doctor.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: Yes, and he had she ended up getting a restraining order against him.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: Dropping it.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: So for the next episode, we probably I would assume we hear a little bit about that.
- 45:01SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: Anyway, that was the recap of episode one for Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: This is the pajama party version, and we will see you guys on Sunday for the next episode.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Anyway, thanks for following along.
