Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: I want you to rank your top five most disappointing
- 0:03Speaker 1: teams in the NFL this year.
- 0:04Speaker 2: In order? In order. We'll start with number five. Go
- 0:06Speaker 2: ahead with number five. Okay, five. I'm going to go
- 0:08Speaker 2: with five. I'm going to go with Green Bay. Green Bay.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I was hoping you would say this.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Drew in love. I just haven't seen it. Like some
- 0:19Speaker 3: games he shows you, some games he doesn't. I remember
- 0:21Speaker 3: when they played in the playoffs against the Cowboys. I said, oh,
- 0:24Speaker 3: my God, this guy has arrived. And sure enough, he hasn't.
- 0:27Speaker 3: And they won't go– nowhere if he can't get it together.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Obviously, they're playing in a really tough division this year.
- 0:35Speaker 1: They play the Bears this weekend. That's going to be
- 0:36Speaker 1: a really fun game. They lose Romeo Dobbs.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It felt like this year was the year where they
- 0:42Speaker 1: were going to take a step back.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And they were one of the teams that I kind
- 0:46Speaker 1: of picked as a regression team this year, and it's
- 0:47Speaker 1: been that way so far.
- 0:48Speaker 2: It might be worse. They gave him 55 million reasons
- 0:51Speaker 2: why he needs to play a lot better.
- 0:53Speaker 3: All right, number four.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Number four, I'm going with... I'm going with Commanders.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Really? Yes.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Why do you think? You just expected more? They weren't
- 1:06Speaker 2: good last year. So this is the thing.
- 1:08Speaker 3: When Jay and Dams took over as a rookie, I said, wow.
- 1:11Speaker 3: We're going to be in trouble in the NFC East.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Sure. The next year he gets hurt. And then now
- 1:15Speaker 2: this year was a big deal. He's healthy. He's ready
- 1:17Speaker 2: to roll.
- 1:17Speaker 3: They bring in Stephon Diggs. They go with Scary Terry.
- 1:20Speaker 3: All these different things. Dan Quinn's a really good coach.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And now we're back to them being at the worst level.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Or the last place in the division but can you
- 1:27Speaker 1: do that can you say that they're that disappointing when
- 1:29Speaker 1: last year it was injuries and then this year it's
- 1:31Speaker 1: injuries already with jayden or is that just.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I mean but so you try to put the pieces
- 1:36Speaker 3: together right you get dan quinn yeah you get a
- 1:38Speaker 3: franchise quarterback you got a number one receiver then you
- 1:40Speaker 3: get a really really good number two receiver and then
- 1:43Speaker 3: it's all right now let's compete and now we're back
- 1:45Speaker 3: to the same thing so after this year if they
- 1:48Speaker 3: do bad do you get another quarterback yeah it starts
- 1:51Speaker 3: that narrative so I just hate it for the Commanders
- 1:54Speaker 3: because I thought they were going to be in the
- 1:54Speaker 3: right direction.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Well, you mentioned Dan Quinn being a defensive-minded coach. The
- 1:57Speaker 1: defense has actually been the most disappointing. 32nd in passing
- 2:00Speaker 1: touchdowns allowed. 32nd in QB passer rating allowed. 31st in pass.
- 2:05Speaker 1: This is one of the worst defenses in the league.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I just thought they would be a better team. You
- 2:07Speaker 2: would think so. All right, number three. Number three. Now
- 2:10Speaker 2: it's good. Now it's really disappointing.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Bam!
- 2:14Speaker 2: The Buccaneers! Yeah. What are we doing here? So it
- 2:18Speaker 2: was this big deal about Baker Mayfield getting paid. Okay,
- 2:20Speaker 2: you know what, Baker, you're right. You win. You win.
- 2:22Speaker 2: We give up. We pay you.
- 2:24Speaker 3: And now what are we paying for? Because we're getting
- 2:26Speaker 3: the same results, right? A lot of talk, a lot
- 2:29Speaker 3: of great press conference after.
- 2:31Speaker 2: The game, but no wins. Another injured quarterback, though.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But I will point out, if there is a silver
- 2:36Speaker 1: lining for the Bucs, and why I might say, like, well,
- 2:38Speaker 1: also they play in the NFC South, so you never know.
- 2:40Speaker 1: There are some teams playing well there. Their defense has
- 2:42Speaker 1: been much improved this year. It is like it's a
- 2:44Speaker 1: top five defense in a lot of metrics right now.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I play with Bowles, though. He's a hell of a
- 2:47Speaker 2: defensive coordinator. Great coach.
- 2:48Speaker 3: For sure, great coach. But I need to see them win, right?
- 2:51Speaker 3: You're not in a super tough division.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It's getting better. Yes. You should be able to win
- 2:54Speaker 2: some games. So I'm kind of disappointed in the Tampa
- 2:56Speaker 2: Bay Buccaneers. All right, number two. All right. The Texans! Oh,
- 3:02Speaker 2: my God. So you're with me on this one. That's
- 3:04Speaker 2: my boy. Don't be mad at me. But, brother, what
- 3:06Speaker 2: are we doing down there? I mentioned it.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I went from bragging about this defense saying, hey, this
- 3:10Speaker 3: is a generational defense. When I say generational, it means, listen,
- 3:13Speaker 3: you won't find this defense for another 25 years.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I was right there with you.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And that went from being great to being awful. And
- 3:20Speaker 3: teams are looking forward to playing them. And I was
- 3:22Speaker 3: thinking about this. Some teams you play, they have that
- 3:26Speaker 3: fear factor. Like, oh, man, we got them this week.
- 3:28Speaker 3: You call your mama and your dad, hey, don't come
- 3:30Speaker 3: to this game. Watch it on TV.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Now you call your mom and grandma, yo, come to
- 3:35Speaker 2: the game. You know what I mean? We're only playing
- 3:37Speaker 2: the Texans this week. Yeah, yes, yes. So I'm disappointed
- 3:41Speaker 2: because they are so good. And then C.J. Stroud, he's
- 3:44Speaker 2: been bad, bad, bad last year, but this year he's
- 3:45Speaker 2: not playing as bad.
- 3:46Speaker 3: He's playing all right, yeah. And when you need to
- 3:48Speaker 3: play well, he is, and the defense is letting him up.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So they're definitely disappointing.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Well, Sean McCoy's number one most disappointing team in the
- 3:55Speaker 1: NFL this year is.
- 3:58Speaker 2: The Chargers. Yeah. I figured you were going there. Come
- 4:01Speaker 2: on now. This should be a layup.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Okay, so Chargers, the most disappointing team in the NFL.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 4:07Speaker 1: What do they have to do next? How do they
- 4:09Speaker 1: get out of this? Do you think Harbaugh, I'm out? Herbert,
- 4:13Speaker 1: do you consider moving on? Is it full 10 out
- 4:17Speaker 1: of 10 panic button?
- 4:19Speaker 2: This is really bad. Yeah, it's panic, right? Everybody should
- 4:21Speaker 2: be nervous in L.A. And it's the reason why.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Because when you have a quarterback like Justin Herbert, who
- 4:27Speaker 3: you think so highly about.
- 4:28Speaker 2: He's so good. He's so talented. If you had to
- 4:30Speaker 2: draw up an ideal pitcher of a quarterback, it's him.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 3: But I always say this. Sometimes players and coaches need
- 4:38Speaker 3: a restart.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Right? A restart button. Yeah. And I look at Andy Reid.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And Reid's the great coach of all time. Yeah. He
- 4:43Speaker 2: did a lot of great things in Philadelphia. I was
- 4:44Speaker 2: so mad when he left. But you know what? He
- 4:46Speaker 2: had a restart. Went to Kansas City. They instantly started winning.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I look at quarterbacks. Matthew Stafford. Matthew Stafford put up
- 4:52Speaker 2: numbers and stats. Oh, yeah. Always.
- 4:55Speaker 3: But you know what? He came to L.A., He had
- 4:57Speaker 3: a restart, and he's a Super Bowl champion. So there's
- 4:59Speaker 3: nothing wrong with a restart. I think it's time for
- 5:01Speaker 3: Justin Herbert to go somewhere different. Get out of L.A.?
- 5:05Speaker 3: I think so.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:06Speaker 1: All right, so Shady's top five most disappointing teams in
- 5:10Speaker 1: the NFL this year. We have the Green Bay Packers,
- 5:12Speaker 1: the Washington Commanders, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Houston Texans,
- 5:16Speaker 1: and the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I want to put the Cowboys on there, but I mean. Oh,
- 5:18Speaker 2: come on. Can anybody be surprised? I mean, don't be surprised.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Come on. Cowboys will be fine. Cowboys will be fine.
