- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Mark Simone show on WR. Well,
- 0:08Speaker 1: somehow it got to be Monday already. Anybody want to
- 0:12Speaker 1: hear about Minnesota. I don't think so. I think the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Democrats have already overplayed their hand. I don't want to
- 0:18Speaker 1: talk about it anymore. It's enough with this Minnesota. But
- 0:21Speaker 1: you've seen the video all weekend of these crazy they
- 0:24Speaker 1: just you know, actually, here's Kylie Kaylee Mcananey, former White
- 0:29Speaker 1: House Press secretary. This is a pretty good way to
- 0:33Speaker 1: put it. America does not have a white supremacy problem.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It has a spoiled, unhinged white liberals problem. That isn't
- 0:41Speaker 1: It is true these crazy white liberals have gotten crazier, angrier,
- 0:45Speaker 1: more unhinged, and just spoiled like crazy. I mean the
- 0:49Speaker 1: idea of thinking you can just jump in front of
- 0:51Speaker 1: police cars, or you can pull your car in front
- 0:54Speaker 1: and block them in. Or you see this video where
- 0:56Speaker 1: they just go up to these police cars ice but
- 0:59Speaker 1: still long horseman cars go up to the window and
- 1:02Speaker 1: start banging on them. I mean again, when you see
- 1:06Speaker 1: a cop on the street, you're on this you're driving,
- 1:07Speaker 1: there's a cop. All of a sudden, you drive very slowly,
- 1:11Speaker 1: very carefully. You wouldn't think to pull your car in
- 1:13Speaker 1: front and block him and then go bang on his wing.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Who in the right mind would do that Anyway, Enough Minnesota, Hey,
- 1:19Speaker 1: Bob Weir passed away. Grateful Dead. He was the lead
- 1:23Speaker 1: sing around a lot of their biggest hits. Bob Weir,
- 1:28Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I was never a Grateful Dead fan.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm not a dead Head. I had no interest in
- 1:32Speaker 1: the Grateful Dead. He did have a couple of hit
- 1:34Speaker 1: singles on his own, which I remember playing, and you
- 1:37Speaker 1: would come on the show and he'd interview him. A
- 1:39Speaker 1: very nice guy, but I mean, was again not a
- 1:43Speaker 1: big Grateful Dead fan. But it did kill thirty seconds,
- 1:45Speaker 1: so we play. No, he's very good. He's very good.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He's accellent. The Grateful Dead fans, the dead Heads whatever
- 1:49Speaker 1: you call him, are so devoted, and he was so
- 1:54Speaker 1: I mean, just a major figure in music. You know,
- 1:56Speaker 1: when somebody dies or they pay tribute at the Empire
- 1:59Speaker 1: State Building, they light up the Empire State Building. If
- 2:02Speaker 1: it's the Giants, that's in blue and white. If it's
- 2:06Speaker 1: the Mets, they put it in blue and orange. I
- 2:09Speaker 1: don't know how they did it last night, but they
- 2:11Speaker 1: lit the Empire State Building with tie dye lights. They
- 2:15Speaker 1: had lights of all different colors and they got him
- 2:17Speaker 1: to form a like a tie die pattern. If you
- 2:20Speaker 1: go online you can see the Picture's pretty amazing. And
- 2:24Speaker 1: again a lot of people are mad at the Golden Globes.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Where's the immemorium the people have lost this year, Rob Reiner?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Where was the tribute to Rob Reiner? Nothing on the
- 2:33Speaker 1: Golden Globes. Speaking of Rob Reiner, the son, Nick Reiner,
- 2:37Speaker 1: still I guess looking for a new lawyer. His lawyer quit.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Now more is coming out about Nick Reiner. He's thirty
- 2:44Speaker 1: two years old. Apparently he was absolutely was diagnosed with
- 2:48Speaker 1: schizophrenia in the weeks before the killing. He was diagnosed
- 2:53Speaker 1: with actual schizophrenia. Now, some top criminal lawyers I've asked
- 2:57Speaker 1: him what would make that he had a top criminal
- 3:00Speaker 1: lawyer of LA. What would make that guy quit? And
- 3:03Speaker 1: some of these guys told me, you don't want to
- 3:05Speaker 1: work with a schizophrenic. It's impossible, impossible to work with them,
- 3:09Speaker 1: prepared defense with them, try to get them through the trial.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It's just rough. It's just way too rough. So he
- 3:16Speaker 1: was actually diagnosed with schizophrenia. He was on all kinds
- 3:19Speaker 1: of medication for it. And these sort of medications they
- 3:23Speaker 1: call him psychotropic drugs can make you even crazier. They
- 3:28Speaker 1: can make you erratic, they can make you very dangerous.
- 3:31Speaker 1: In fact, many of these psychotropic drugs, it says right
- 3:34Speaker 1: in the side effects, may cause maniacal behavior, homicidal behavior.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It can do that. And that's why many times you
- 3:42Speaker 1: see this crazy kid who shoots up a school or
- 3:46Speaker 1: shoots mass shooting. It turns out he was on these
- 3:50Speaker 1: psychotropic drugs. It's a big problem. So they put Rob
- 3:53Speaker 1: Reiner on these drugs. And apparently another side effect was
- 3:58Speaker 1: weight gain. He gained a lot of weight on the drug,
- 4:01Speaker 1: which he was very upset about, and he convinced the
- 4:04Speaker 1: doctors to change his medication to something else. Well, whatever
- 4:09Speaker 1: the other medication they switched him to was was much
- 4:11Speaker 1: more dangerous. It made him much more erratic and his
- 4:15Speaker 1: behavior went really psycho and they normally when somebody gets
- 4:22Speaker 1: that crazy on the medication, you're supposed to put him
- 4:25Speaker 1: in what's called a temporary cycoled, which means you don't
- 4:28Speaker 1: let them loose, you keep them in a facility. Doctors
- 4:32Speaker 1: decided not to place him on a temporary cycoled and
- 4:37Speaker 1: to leave him out there in the world, which was
- 4:39Speaker 1: very dangerous. But two factors there. It's California. So when
- 4:44Speaker 1: it's California doctors, California treatment places, they're very, very, very
- 4:50Speaker 1: lax and liberal about things. If it was here in
- 4:52Speaker 1: New York, they've probably been a little tougher about it. Also,
- 4:55Speaker 1: it's Rob Reiner. He's a major figure in California. So
- 5:00Speaker 1: the whiners apparently did not want to have to do that.
- 5:03Speaker 1: If they didn't have to, they decided not to do that,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and the doctors went along with it. So big mistake,
- 5:13Speaker 1: big mistake. But next court date is I think in February,
- 5:18Speaker 1: so he'll be in jail till then, and then we'll see.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Now this Mam Donnie stuff that you saw the first thing.
- 5:29Speaker 1: He wants to do these public toilets bathrooms and wants
- 5:33Speaker 1: to spend millions on them. Here's the other problem with
- 5:35Speaker 1: Madonni Mam Donnie, or as Al Sharpon would say, Mam Da,
- 5:41Speaker 1: Mam Donnie. Everybody city hall veterans and New York political
- 5:48Speaker 1: veterans looking at the whole situation. From what they're seeing,
- 5:52Speaker 1: it looks like he's going to continue to be more
- 5:54Speaker 1: of a candidate than a mayor. It's more of a
- 5:57Speaker 1: campaign than an administration. They've noticed, I mean, he put
- 6:01Speaker 1: in a lot of wacky Deblasio type left wing kooks
- 6:05Speaker 1: in different jobs. But they've noticed that he's created an
- 6:09Speaker 1: enormous press office beyond anything anybody's ever needed. You know.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It's usually a couple of people running the press office
- 6:16Speaker 1: and a couple of assistants, but he's put in a
- 6:19Speaker 1: massive amount of people in this press office, a massive
- 6:23Speaker 1: communications team. This is very unusual. So they're thinking that
- 6:28Speaker 1: he has no idea how to run anything. He's not
- 6:30Speaker 1: a manager, he's not a mayor, he has no he's
- 6:33Speaker 1: never had a job in his life, so he doesn't
- 6:35Speaker 1: know anything about working in an office or running anything.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So all he knows how to do is campaign. So
- 6:40Speaker 1: they think he's going to just continue in campaign mode.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And he's brought in some heavy hitters for this communications team,
- 6:47Speaker 1: people from the Bernie Sanders team, a couple of couple
- 6:51Speaker 1: of big Bernie Sanders people come in and be communications directors.
- 6:54Speaker 1: He's speech writer and deputy communications director, all from the
- 7:00Speaker 1: left wing kind of kooky things. Yeah, basically calling it's
- 7:04Speaker 1: going to be a department of propaganda. Now what does
- 7:06Speaker 1: this mean? He's also created something else besides the Press Office,
- 7:11Speaker 1: the Communications Office, He's created another body called the Office
- 7:15Speaker 1: of Mass Engagement and put a Democratic Socialist comrade in
- 7:22Speaker 1: charge of it. So I guess the idea is, no
- 7:25Speaker 1: matter what he does or if he does nothing, he'll
- 7:27Speaker 1: have this enormous pr machine going full time in overdrive,
- 7:32Speaker 1: selling hype and creating this whole illusion of him doing something.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Now this is kind of good news because the word
- 7:40Speaker 1: is from some people that is scary as he is,
- 7:43Speaker 1: it might not be that scary because he's a lot
- 7:45Speaker 1: like the Blasio and that he's not going to actually
- 7:47Speaker 1: do anything. He's just going to do public stuff, you know,
- 7:51Speaker 1: just campaigning speeches, not actually on the ground actually doing anything.
- 7:57Speaker 1: So this would kind of indicate that. So we'll see
- 8:02Speaker 1: what that was Bill Gates doing in New York. Did
- 8:04Speaker 1: you see all this Bill Gates video? It was all
- 8:07Speaker 1: over Twitter, Instagram, everywhere Bill Gates is in New York.
- 8:11Speaker 1: He goes into Times Square and he has a hot
- 8:13Speaker 1: dog off a cart. I don't know what the idea was.
- 8:18Speaker 1: It was to make I guess, to make him look
- 8:19Speaker 1: like he's just a regular guy eating a hot dog
- 8:22Speaker 1: off a cart. But he's looking at it like it's
- 8:25Speaker 1: something from Mars, Like he's never seen a cart, he's
- 8:27Speaker 1: never seen a hot dog. Also, I noticed there's a
- 8:29Speaker 1: lot of security guys all around him, not just playing
- 8:33Speaker 1: security guys, but with fancy suits and the earpieces, and
- 8:35Speaker 1: they look like secret service. You know, if you look
- 8:38Speaker 1: at a hot dog cart, and even if there's a line,
- 8:39Speaker 1: nobody has fourteen bodyguards with earpieces. In highly unusual McDonald's.
- 8:46Speaker 1: McDonald's has big plans for twenty twenty six. They're going
- 8:50Speaker 1: to introduce new menu items. This is you know, once
- 8:53Speaker 1: in a million years did they add something to the
- 8:55Speaker 1: McDonald's menu. And besides new items, they're going to have
- 8:59Speaker 1: a secret man where things pop up on the menu.
- 9:02Speaker 1: All of us know the idea of this. They think
- 9:04Speaker 1: this is how you play Instagram and TikTok with little
- 9:08Speaker 1: secret things that pop up and get a lot of
- 9:10Speaker 1: a buzz on TikTok and Instagram and all that stuff.
- 9:13Speaker 1: But the biggest new item, now these other things they're
- 9:16Speaker 1: working on. A surf and turf burger, a chicken cheese burger,
- 9:20Speaker 1: a chicken big mac, an espresso milkshake. All right, this
- 9:25Speaker 1: is all good apple pie, Minnie mcflury, I don't know
- 9:27Speaker 1: what the hell that is. It's, oh, that's a milkshake,
- 9:30Speaker 1: but with like an apple pie in it. And oh
- 9:33Speaker 1: they want to sell the Big Mac sauce separately as
- 9:37Speaker 1: a as a dip. You could buy the Big Mac sauce.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Isn't that great? I think if you went into any
- 9:44Speaker 1: supermarket and just got a bottle of Russian dressing, I
- 9:46Speaker 1: think you'd have pretty much the same thing. But the
- 9:48Speaker 1: big item, the big thing for twenty twenty six to
- 9:51Speaker 1: introduce the biggest burger, a giant burger. It's the massive
- 9:55Speaker 1: double patty burger called the Big Arch. It's too huge
- 10:00Speaker 1: beef patties, three slices of cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions, a
- 10:06Speaker 1: new tangy big Arch sauce. Uh okay, now that sounds
- 10:10Speaker 1: good because a lot of places have much bigger juicy
- 10:13Speaker 1: or burgers. Problem with McDonald's too much bun. I remember
- 10:17Speaker 1: talking to Julia Child once on the air, but she
- 10:19Speaker 1: loved McDonald's, but she said the bun to meat ratio
- 10:22Speaker 1: is not good. Too much bun, not enough meat. But
- 10:27Speaker 1: this could be a big thing, the big Big Arch
- 10:31Speaker 1: now the only thing to remember anything McDonald's has ever created.
- 10:37Speaker 1: In other words, McDonald's has a development test kitchen where
- 10:40Speaker 1: they come up with new things to put on the menu,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and they spend millions and millions every year on this
- 10:46Speaker 1: test kitchen where these development guys try to come up
- 10:49Speaker 1: with everything they ever came up with and put on
- 10:51Speaker 1: the menu. Totally bombed the McLean. You remember that the McLean,
- 10:55Speaker 1: All that stuff totally bombed. The only things that have new,
- 10:59Speaker 1: thing that ever took off were invented by local franchises.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It was a local franchise that came up with the
- 11:06Speaker 1: fish file at Sandwich. It was somewhere in the South
- 11:09Speaker 1: where everybody was Catholic and back then you couldn't meet
- 11:11Speaker 1: on Friday. So to save their business, they came up
- 11:14Speaker 1: with the fish file at became so popular McDonald's put
- 11:17Speaker 1: it on the menu. I think the Big Mac actually
- 11:19Speaker 1: was created by a franchise. But whenever McDonald's comes up,
- 11:22Speaker 1: but it never works. Now, the good news is this
- 11:24Speaker 1: big Arch, this big Burger has been tested out in Europe,
- 11:30Speaker 1: in Ireland, a couple other countries. It's work there, so
- 11:34Speaker 1: expect that to come to the McDonald's near you soon, Hey, Sacks,
- 11:39Speaker 1: Fifth Avenue. You know they're about to file for bankruptcy.
- 11:42Speaker 1: This could break at any moment. People think they're going
- 11:44Speaker 1: to file bankruptcy at any moment. Sacks. You know, they
- 11:47Speaker 1: bought Neman Marcus. They spent billions of dollars to buy
- 11:50Speaker 1: Neiman Marcus. It's all combined. They also owned Bergdorf Goodman.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But it's looking like they're heading into bankruptcy. The got
- 11:57Speaker 1: massive debt. They borrowed almost three billion. They owe a
- 12:02Speaker 1: lot of money. They missed the payment the other day
- 12:03Speaker 1: of one hundred million, one hundred million dollar interest payment,
- 12:07Speaker 1: So it looks like at any moment they might file bankruptcy.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Now this is leaking out everywhere, so a lot of
- 12:13Speaker 1: shoppers are rushing to Sacks to spend their their credit.
- 12:18Speaker 1: You know those cards, those gift cards, everything use up
- 12:20Speaker 1: any credit. They have problem is retail sales, you know,
- 12:26Speaker 1: have died in general. In general, retail sales way down,
- 12:30Speaker 1: but especially with very high end luxury items, and they
- 12:35Speaker 1: just expanded too much. They just you know, you could
- 12:37Speaker 1: go into I mean the good news. You're going to
- 12:40Speaker 1: Sacks right now, going to burg darf they're empty. Go
- 12:43Speaker 1: over there to Neiman Marcus up the block there, they're empty.
- 12:46Speaker 1: There's nobody in there. There's like thirty five salespeople and
- 12:50Speaker 1: two customers. You can always get some service there. Anyway.
- 12:54Speaker 1: We'll take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three
- 12:57Speaker 1: to two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 13:00Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Dina Powell.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That's the wife of the He's a good guy, Dave McCormick.
- 13:09Speaker 1: He's the senator from Pennsylvania. He was the head of
- 13:12Speaker 1: the Carlisle Group. Big hedge, fun guy, very nice guy.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Dave McCormick. He's married to Dina Powell, who's been one
- 13:19Speaker 1: of those overly ambitious, extremely aggressively ambitious women. You drop
- 13:27Speaker 1: her in the middle of anything and she's like work
- 13:29Speaker 1: in the room and like trying to push. She's got
- 13:32Speaker 1: herself into the first Trump administration, got herself into Goldman sacked,
- 13:37Speaker 1: very pushy, obnoxious trends on a lot of people crazy.
- 13:39Speaker 1: They used to call her dirty. Dina in Washington, always scheming,
- 13:43Speaker 1: pushing us. Announced this morning she'll be the new president
- 13:46Speaker 1: of Facebook, of Meta. They've hired her. Why well, for
- 13:51Speaker 1: all her pushing and scheming. She does know everybody in
- 13:54Speaker 1: Washington that can be helpful. And her husband, Dave McCormick,
- 13:57Speaker 1: has become really close to Donald Trump. He's really taking
- 14:01Speaker 1: a shine to Dave McCormick, has him at the White
- 14:04Speaker 1: House all the time. So that's basically what I look
- 14:07Speaker 1: for in the president of Facebook. Somebody can get things done,
- 14:10Speaker 1: pick up the phone, get you what you need. Hey,
- 14:12Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 14:15Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number, eight hundred three
- 14:18Speaker 1: to two, one zero seven ten.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Mister New York.
- 14:22Speaker 3: He's on the case the Mark Simone Show on seven.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Woo Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Dennis
- 14:31Speaker 1: Long Island. Dennis, how you doing.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm well, good morning.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I'm just curious that your thoughts on real estate in
- 14:38Speaker 3: New York City.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Of course, in real estate and real estate prices going forward.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well, the real estate is booming in New York City.
- 14:45Speaker 1: You cannot get an apartment, and you can't rent an apartment.
- 14:48Speaker 1: The market is just totally millions of people moving in
- 14:53Speaker 1: rental is indication of people moving into New York.
- 14:57Speaker 3: So nobody's fighting by this MONDI gun.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Be a couple who are going to leave, but more
- 15:01Speaker 1: people are coming in and leaving. In fact, high end departments,
- 15:06Speaker 1: there's very little inventory. Price going crazy. More contracts signed
- 15:10Speaker 1: in the last month than usual, and I mean actual
- 15:13Speaker 1: sales where it went to closing in a contract. Skyscrapers
- 15:17Speaker 1: are going up all over New York. The whole skyline
- 15:20Speaker 1: is going to change in the next five years, massive,
- 15:23Speaker 1: really tall skyscrapers. One going in at the fifty third
- 15:27Speaker 1: in Madison, one going at the fifty eighth and Madison,
- 15:31Speaker 1: one going at Park Avenue in fifty second. All over
- 15:34Speaker 1: New York, these huge skyscrapers are being built. These are
- 15:37Speaker 1: all the top builders in New York. And every one
- 15:40Speaker 1: of these skyscrapers, you know, costs a billion two billion three.
- 15:42Speaker 1: You've seen this JP Morgan, unbelievable building that opened up
- 15:46Speaker 1: on Park Avenue, two billion dollar skyscraper. Well now they're
- 15:49Speaker 1: going to do a second one. They want to do
- 15:51Speaker 1: a second one. Rumor is they're going to take the
- 15:53Speaker 1: Roosevelt Hotel and put it there. So all these big
- 15:57Speaker 1: top real estate guys wouldn't be spending this money if
- 16:00Speaker 1: they weren't confident in New York. Let's go to rob
- 16:03Speaker 1: in Franklin Square, Rob, How you doing pretty good?
- 16:05Speaker 3: Mark?
- 16:06Speaker 2: How are you?
- 16:07Speaker 1: I like a peppy guy. That's very good. Are you
- 16:10Speaker 1: are you a salesman? You sound like a salesman.
- 16:12Speaker 2: No, I'm retired transit cop. I missed Michael Goodwin on
- 16:17Speaker 2: with you. Is he still with the station?
- 16:18Speaker 3: I know you said he had some health problems before.
- 16:20Speaker 1: He was just a little under the weather. He'll be
- 16:22Speaker 1: he'll be back with us soon. We hope he's able
- 16:24Speaker 1: to write his column but God bless him. Yeah, yeah, great,
- 16:27Speaker 1: the greatest columnist. Yeah, hopefully he'll be back with us soon.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Thanks for Colin. Let's go to Jim in New Jersey. Jim,
- 16:33Speaker 1: how you doing? Wait a minute, Jim, are you there? Yeah?
- 16:36Speaker 1: Go ahead, Yeah, this is kind of sad.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Mark. Nobody mentioned this. January third was the end of
- 16:43Speaker 4: in year. Ninety seven year old Sidney Kybric died. Who
- 16:50Speaker 4: Sydney Kybrick?
- 16:51Speaker 1: Who's that?
- 16:51Speaker 4: He was the last? The last little Rascal? He just
- 16:56Speaker 4: January third? Not our gang that came later. The last
- 16:59Speaker 4: little Rascal guy, Sydney Kybrick. He gave up acting in
- 17:03Speaker 4: nineteen forty three, eighty two years.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Ago, and which little Rascal was Sidney Kybrick.
- 17:10Speaker 4: He was that his brother was in it too. You
- 17:13Speaker 4: recognize his brother Moore, but he was not a big one,
- 17:15Speaker 4: but he was. They short of picture of him. It
- 17:17Speaker 4: was definitely him. So there you go, Mark, the last
- 17:21Speaker 4: little rascal is gone. Kybrick ninety seven.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Mark, you gotta be honest, it's not the most exciting thing.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I mean, not the most exciting thing in the world.
- 17:29Speaker 1: But you know, out there in California, I got this
- 17:32Speaker 1: actor's home, like it's an old age home for actors.
- 17:35Speaker 1: If you go in there, you do recognize people. They're
- 17:38Speaker 1: all ninety two, ninety eight, but you recognize them. You know,
- 17:42Speaker 1: it's a character actors. This guy was in twelve different sitcoms.
- 17:46Speaker 1: This guy was in Love American Style. You recognize this
- 17:48Speaker 1: guy used to be on game shows. Let's go to
- 17:51Speaker 1: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing, Good.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Morning, Mack Mack. I'm okay. Mark, speaking about the danger
- 17:57Speaker 2: of changing these psychotrophic drugs. Mid course, I have a
- 18:02Speaker 2: friend whose girlfriend's son was taking these and I say,
- 18:07Speaker 2: was taking these psychotropic drugs, and like Rob Reiner's kid,
- 18:11Speaker 2: doctor changed his drugs. And there's a true story about
- 18:15Speaker 2: fifteen years ago right out in Little Odessa. He jumps
- 18:20Speaker 2: in front of the D train out in Brighton Beach
- 18:23Speaker 2: and because he was feeling all weeded out by these drugs.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Mark I personally believe that no protesting should be done
- 18:34Speaker 2: either directly in front of the entrance to the houses
- 18:38Speaker 2: of worship or on the opposite side of the street
- 18:41Speaker 2: because people could still hear the nasty insults. Most of
- 18:46Speaker 2: these protests are Arab groups or wacky liberal groups protesting
- 18:53Speaker 2: against the Jewish people. You've never seen Jewish people going
- 18:58Speaker 2: in front of mosques protesting probably one of the reasons.
- 19:03Speaker 2: One of the reasons are they're not that type of people.
- 19:07Speaker 2: They're very inture and they're educated people.
- 19:10Speaker 1: They keep they're nuts, but they're not nuts.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But this antime that happens, that's what they should do.
- 19:17Speaker 2: They should go in front of the biggest mosque, which
- 19:20Speaker 2: I believe is up in Harlem and protest.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Right, yeah, they you don't want them to that crazy too. Now,
- 19:25Speaker 1: this protesting is the most awful anti Semitism. You know
- 19:30Speaker 1: a lot of these people claim, well, we're not anti Cem,
- 19:32Speaker 1: we're just anti Israel. Well that's anti Semitic, it's exactly.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and they say exactly the same thing.
- 19:37Speaker 2: They say the terrible things about the Jewish people, that
- 19:41Speaker 2: Hitler should have done this, and this one should have
- 19:44Speaker 2: done that. Let's let's see for how to if the
- 19:48Speaker 2: shoe was on the other foot, how they could take it,
- 19:51Speaker 2: how they would take it. You don't see that. You
- 19:53Speaker 2: don't see what kids with yamaka is in the front
- 19:56Speaker 2: of the mosque. You might see them in Times Square
- 19:59Speaker 2: as a counter protest. You never hear on the radio.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Oh well, looked at for Rabba. The kid had him
- 20:06Speaker 2: pay us, which wear on a yamaka.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And he was running the You know see, not a
- 20:10Speaker 1: lot of street crime in that group. Now you're absolutely vincent.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Good call, Thanks for calling. You gotta give the Palestinians
- 20:16Speaker 1: credit for one thing. They have somehow convinced the world
- 20:18Speaker 1: that they're the minority, which is a little ridiculous. I mean,
- 20:22Speaker 1: they're part of the Arab world, which is certainly not
- 20:25Speaker 1: a minority. It's the Jewish population that is the oppressed
- 20:28Speaker 1: minority here and historically has been for hundreds and hundreds
- 20:33Speaker 1: and hundreds of years. Hey, when we come back, Charlie
- 20:36Speaker 1: Gasprino will be with us. We'll talk to him. In
- 20:38Speaker 1: a moment. Oh, by the way, I meant to mention, uh, Minnesota.
- 20:41Speaker 1: There is one thing interesting. There's a GoFundMe for the
- 20:44Speaker 1: woman that was killed, Rene Good, and it raised three
- 20:48Speaker 1: million dollars. They shut it down because they said that's
- 20:51Speaker 1: all they wanted to raise for her kids. They raised
- 20:54Speaker 1: three million. It was about sixty five thousand donors. They
- 20:57Speaker 1: raised it. They've shut it down, and there's one for
- 21:00Speaker 1: the cop. His name is Jonathan Ross, the ice agent.
- 21:04Speaker 1: There is a gofund me for him. If you want
- 21:06Speaker 1: to contribute. Bill Ackman just gave ten thousand dollars to it.
- 21:09Speaker 1: So far they've raised I think three hundred and fifty thousand,
- 21:12Speaker 1: But just Google go fund me Jonathan Ross and you
- 21:15Speaker 1: can donate to that cop and help him out. When
- 21:19Speaker 1: we come back. Charlie Gasparino, the best business reporter in
- 21:22Speaker 1: the world, coming up next on seven to ten wr
- 21:27Speaker 1: in Mark on Demand by setting a preset for his
- 21:30Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Now back to Mark Simone on WR Well.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Charlie Gasprino, the best business reporter on Earth. You can
- 21:40Speaker 1: see him on the Fox Business Thattwork. Read all of
- 21:42Speaker 1: his columns New York Post and make sure you get
- 21:45Speaker 1: his books. And if you're one of the few people
- 21:47Speaker 1: on earth it hasn't read his last book, Go Woke,
- 21:50Speaker 1: Go Broke, it's must reading. Go get the book Go Woke,
- 21:53Speaker 1: Go Broke by Charlie Gasprino. Charlie, how you doing?
- 21:58Speaker 3: You?
- 21:58Speaker 1: No?
- 21:58Speaker 3: Mark?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Uh?
- 22:01Speaker 4: Uh?
- 22:01Speaker 1: You know that book book, Go Woke, Go Broke. A
- 22:06Speaker 1: lot of people in Minnesota might need to read that book.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Don't you think, Oh my.
- 22:09Speaker 3: God, what I never thought the place was that insane?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:13Speaker 3: You know, I mean it literally is if you. I mean,
- 22:18Speaker 3: I mean, obviously we're getting a one sided view of
- 22:21Speaker 3: just the protesters, but it looks like it's ground zero
- 22:24Speaker 3: for some of the most bizarre, freaked out, emotionally disturbed
- 22:28Speaker 3: people in the world that have nothing better to do
- 22:31Speaker 3: but to protest. Just think about it, Like you get
- 22:33Speaker 3: up in the morning and I'm like, there's you have nothing
- 22:35Speaker 3: better to do. You don't have to go to a job.
- 22:37Speaker 3: You you know, you even before you take care of
- 22:40Speaker 3: your kids, you go out, you make time to protest.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I mean, think about that. I mean you would think,
- 22:47Speaker 3: by the way, we should point out that, you know,
- 22:50Speaker 3: I keep reading, well, this country was based on protests
- 22:53Speaker 3: again against the little against government. I was like, well,
- 22:58Speaker 3: not really. I mean, you know the I that's like
- 23:01Speaker 3: President ran He was duly elected, he won a landslide
- 23:07Speaker 3: from the from the electoral college, and he won by
- 23:12Speaker 3: a couple of million votes in the on the popular vote.
- 23:16Speaker 3: But he ran on cracking down on immigration. How is
- 23:19Speaker 3: this like an uprising against tyranny? The guy ran on this. Yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 3: And so I think, you know, the and the media
- 23:26Speaker 3: just plays into this stuff. I mean, you know, are
- 23:30Speaker 3: we supposed to really think that the green and orange
- 23:35Speaker 3: color colored hair, colored people screaming at ice agents are
- 23:40Speaker 3: normal human beings?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Yeah? But the question are they insane or is it
- 23:45Speaker 1: just these universities and colleges have been indoctrinating them for
- 23:49Speaker 1: the last twenty years in doctrination? And also they just
- 23:51Speaker 1: spoiled brats? Is that all it is?
- 23:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a combination of the books. There's spoiled brats there, insane.
- 23:59Speaker 3: I mean, you know, I mean they got nothing going
- 24:01Speaker 3: for themselves. And you know, I mean just think if
- 24:06Speaker 3: you were a complete loser and you wanted to make
- 24:09Speaker 3: it on TV, you can go to a protest. And
- 24:12Speaker 3: you know, the media is also willing to give him
- 24:15Speaker 3: credence that this is some somehow a populist revolt of
- 24:20Speaker 3: the masses, when it's a vocal, freaky minority. And I
- 24:25Speaker 3: just thought, I think we've got to put this in context.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Who these people are. They're causing a lot of problems
- 24:29Speaker 3: in places, but they are a far they are a vast,
- 24:36Speaker 3: like a very small minority of the population. And most
- 24:39Speaker 3: people don't do this that even most liberals don't do.
- 24:43Speaker 3: This must be real clear here.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're Bill Clinton, a kind of common sense,
- 24:48Speaker 1: middle of the road kind of a Democrat, what do
- 24:50Speaker 1: you think he thinks watching this? What happened to his party?
- 24:54Speaker 3: I mean he I mean, it's really just flushing everything
- 24:56Speaker 3: that he did down the drain, which was kind of
- 24:59Speaker 3: return the party to something halfway decent, normal and uh
- 25:04Speaker 3: and and successful by the way legislatively and both politically.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I you know, listen, you know the Republicans might lose
- 25:12Speaker 3: the mid terms kind of the way mid terms grow go.
- 25:15Speaker 3: But I don't know, how do how do you, uh,
- 25:20Speaker 3: there's a party survive this? Yeah, you know, a freak
- 25:24Speaker 3: Just think if you're the party of the freak show,
- 25:28Speaker 3: because it really is a freak show. If you take
- 25:30Speaker 3: a look at these people.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Uh yeah, the those ring women.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Yeah, those rings. But just just the way they act
- 25:38Speaker 3: is just not how normal people act, particularly in public.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Do you want to do that in in your house,
- 25:44Speaker 3: go for it, but I mean in public.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Hey, Charlie Gasprino, you're the best business reporter on Earth.
- 25:51Speaker 1: What's going on Warner Brothers Discovery, Paramount Skuidance. Is anything
- 25:55Speaker 1: going to happen there?
- 25:56Speaker 3: Well, I mean, listen, it's kind of along the lines
- 25:59Speaker 3: that we reported h and it happened today. I reported
- 26:02Speaker 3: that they were gonna there's a something though inside Paramount
- 26:06Speaker 3: as death con one. They think they have a much
- 26:09Speaker 3: superior bid and they're gonna sue, And today they announced
- 26:15Speaker 3: that there's gonna be a lawsuit. I really think that.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I mean, this is this is a great story on
- 26:22Speaker 3: so many levels that it's it's hard to really like
- 26:24Speaker 3: sort of just sort of encapsulated, give you a Cliffmoe version.
- 26:28Speaker 3: But you know, this is a big company called Warner Brothers.
- 26:31Speaker 3: It has the Jack Warner Studio, it has the HBO
- 26:35Speaker 3: Max streaming service, and there's a bidding war and you
- 26:39Speaker 3: know what's interesting about it is that one of the
- 26:42Speaker 3: bidders involves Paramounts guidance that wants to bring from a
- 26:46Speaker 3: political standpoint, very centrist programming to everything, including CNN. You know,
- 26:51Speaker 3: CNN is part of the purchase. There's another one that
- 26:55Speaker 3: just wants it's called Netflix, that just wants the streaming
- 26:59Speaker 3: and studio and you know, could create a monopoly of streaming,
- 27:04Speaker 3: which isn't the greatest thing in the world by combining
- 27:08Speaker 3: the number one streamer that they have with the number
- 27:10Speaker 3: three streamer which Warner Brothers has. So there's a lot
- 27:14Speaker 3: of interesting issues here, both politically consumer wise. I can't
- 27:20Speaker 3: tell you how this is going to end up. Right now,
- 27:23Speaker 3: Warner Brothers wants the Netflix did, Paramount is trying to
- 27:27Speaker 3: upend it and doing all it can by making arguments
- 27:30Speaker 3: both the shareholders. It's gone hostile by doing so. My my, my,
- 27:36Speaker 3: I guess my My best device is keep reading my
- 27:39Speaker 3: coverage in the New York Post because I cover it
- 27:42Speaker 3: basically day by day.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, he's the best on the subject New York Post.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Or make sure you fall him on Twitter too, one
- 27:48Speaker 1: of the best tweeters out there. Hey, Charlie Gasprino, you
- 27:51Speaker 1: talked to all the business leaders. What's the what are
- 27:53Speaker 1: they thinking about Mom Donnie after the first week.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I mean they're scared. I mean, he's just a nightmare.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I mean, he really is everything that you all, all
- 28:04Speaker 3: your worst fears is what he is. He's a communist
- 28:07Speaker 3: and uh and and a guy that's you know, a
- 28:10Speaker 3: leftis communist, which is both Marxism in an economic sense
- 28:15Speaker 3: and cultural Marxism in you know de e I and
- 28:19Speaker 3: you know, anti Israel. And he's really anybody that helped
- 28:25Speaker 3: this guy get elected, either tacitly or explicitly, but if
- 28:31Speaker 3: they didn't oppose him as strendly, as strenuously enough in
- 28:36Speaker 3: many ways, has you know, I don't want to say
- 28:38Speaker 3: blood because that's an overstatement, but you know, has A
- 28:42Speaker 3: has A has a lot of explaining to do because
- 28:45Speaker 3: he really is as bad as we thought he is,
- 28:48Speaker 3: and everybody knew it, and it's it's it's it's actually
- 28:51Speaker 3: frightening to me. There's no there's no other, by the way,
- 28:57Speaker 3: there's no other you know, there there's a way to
- 29:00Speaker 3: fight back against this, and that's cooled, like you move.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Out, Yeah, we don't want to do that. But some
- 29:05Speaker 1: people think he's kind of kind of Deblasio like him,
- 29:07Speaker 1: that he's a lot of talk, there won't be a
- 29:09Speaker 1: lot of action. He won't actually do much of anything.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You think that's possible.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Now, he was already talking about doing it. I mean
- 29:16Speaker 3: they're already he's doing it, he's planning to do it.
- 29:20Speaker 3: He's got all sorts of plans, he's got all sorts
- 29:22Speaker 3: of people in place, he's got hope, laquies and because
- 29:26Speaker 3: the state let because you know, they believe Democratic Party
- 29:29Speaker 3: has gone so far left that she'll give in. So
- 29:32Speaker 3: I mean, this is this is bad stuff, and it's
- 29:35Speaker 3: it's gonna get worse. And again, anybody who either tacitly
- 29:39Speaker 3: or explicitly supported this guy or you know, made it
- 29:43Speaker 3: easier for him to get in there has a lot
- 29:45Speaker 3: of exploited to do. As far as i'm this is
- 29:47Speaker 3: not a good thing.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Okay, but you wrote the book, Go Woke, Go Broke
- 29:51Speaker 1: the Left from Donnie to Minneapolis going so far to
- 29:54Speaker 1: the left. Isn't your book going to hold up the
- 29:57Speaker 1: Go Woke, Go Broke. Eventually they'll have overplayed there and
- 30:00Speaker 1: it all complete.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Play their hands. But look, Minneapolis is Minneapolis right now.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I mean, it's a it's a it's it's it's worrisome
- 30:10Speaker 3: for the Look, what's going on there is understandable, but
- 30:16Speaker 3: it's going to happen there, and it could happen here.
- 30:21Speaker 3: That doesn't mean it's going to happen in ninety nine
- 30:23Speaker 3: percent of the country, which it won't. As a matter
- 30:25Speaker 3: of fact, quite the opposite's going to happen. There's a
- 30:27Speaker 3: revolt against that. But make no mistake about it, Minneapolis
- 30:32Speaker 3: is where New York is going, and it's going there
- 30:35Speaker 3: because we elect the type of people that's gonna that
- 30:38Speaker 3: want to bring it there, and you know, once they
- 30:40Speaker 3: get in office, it's hard to get them out and
- 30:43Speaker 3: they do what they I mean, listen, so Mondambie's all talk.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Why should Mondambi be all talk when Jacob Fry is
- 30:49Speaker 3: not all talk? He I mean, the people, the leaders
- 30:54Speaker 3: of Minneapolis, of the elective officials have really have really
- 30:58Speaker 3: destroyed that's date and that city in particular. That city's
- 31:02Speaker 3: unlivable unless you're like a lunatic lefty that just wants
- 31:05Speaker 3: to indulge in riots and protests all day. I mean,
- 31:08Speaker 3: it's really an unlivable place. So again, I say, anybody
- 31:13Speaker 3: that enabled this guy, either tacitly or explicitly, his got
- 31:18Speaker 3: explained to do because this guy's gonna reak havoc on
- 31:22Speaker 3: the city.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Well, I want to thank you for cheering us up
- 31:25Speaker 1: this morning. Everybody. Get the book. It's one of the
- 31:29Speaker 1: best books ever written. Go Woke, Go Broke. It's Charlie

- 31:35Speaker 1: sure you follow him on Twitter, watch him on Fox Business,

- 31:58Speaker 1: Kelly at six every and you got to try out

- 32:21Speaker 1: Well, Hey, Elizabeth Warren wants to lead the Democratic Party.
- 32:26Speaker 1: She's not really thinking her running in twenty twenty eight,
- 32:28Speaker 1: but she wants to lead the party to the progressive whatever. Anyway,
- 32:33Speaker 1: she's doing a fiery speech today at the National Press Club.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Is she's pushing this as a major, major event, her
- 32:41Speaker 1: new speech proposal. This is going to be it for
- 32:43Speaker 1: the Democrat. But apparently in democratic world Elizabeth Warren doesn't
- 32:47Speaker 1: mean much anymore. They don't take her seriously. They saw
- 32:50Speaker 1: her get no place in the last election and the
- 32:53Speaker 1: one before that, so they're not taking her too seriously
- 32:56Speaker 1: now with this big thing today. Normally be on Rachel
- 33:01Speaker 1: Maddow tonight at nine o'clock. Nope, they didn't invite her,
- 33:04Speaker 1: all right, but then maybe you be on Jensaki at
- 33:07Speaker 1: eight o'clock. Now they didn't invite her. She is going
- 33:10Speaker 1: to be on Lawrence O'Donnell at ten o'clock. That's like
- 33:14Speaker 1: a very that's low on the totem pole, a big
- 33:17Speaker 1: demotion for Elizabeth Warren. Hey, we're out of time. I'm
