- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today we
- 0:08Speaker 2: have a special guest, Blake moins Is.
- 0:10Speaker 3: On Ashley's birthday was yesterday.
- 0:12Speaker 4: So birthday did you do anything? Did you do? What
- 0:16Speaker 4: did you do for anything? Fun?
- 0:18Speaker 5: Well, Ben, I needed to tell you this. I had
- 0:20Speaker 5: the worst massage of my life.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Blake.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He's a massage guy, Like he goes to a massage
- 0:28Speaker 2: like once a week or like he's had points in
- 0:30Speaker 2: his life where he's done that, and like he he
- 0:35Speaker 2: gives the best massages too. So anyway, yesterday, Ben, it
- 0:40Speaker 2: was like the woman was applying just suntand lotion to
- 0:44Speaker 2: me for like an hour.
- 0:46Speaker 5: Okay, it was just all she did.
- 0:48Speaker 2: So go like this and I'm like what and I
- 0:53Speaker 2: this is a good conversation topic.
- 0:54Speaker 5: But do you tell them you need more pressure?
- 0:58Speaker 3: No, that's one thing I don't have have in me.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I can if they ask, I feel like it's appropriately
- 1:04Speaker 3: be like yeah, deeper, yeah, but they they There's been
- 1:10Speaker 3: many occasions to that stand out. I guess Jess just
- 1:13Speaker 3: had one of these where like you've get gotten a
- 1:16Speaker 3: really bad massage and it's mostly like the hardest hour
- 1:19Speaker 3: of your life, because you're like, I was looking forward
- 1:20Speaker 3: to this for so long.
- 1:22Speaker 5: The hardest hour of your life.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And you're like, this is just awkward. I have some
- 1:26Speaker 3: humans just like petting me.
- 1:28Speaker 2: That is exactly what it was. And then the light
- 1:30Speaker 2: was on and I'm just like, I feel so weird.
- 1:33Speaker 2: She's just like gracing my skin. It was the weirdest thing.
- 1:37Speaker 4: You like, this is why this is what you do.
- 1:40Speaker 4: You need to go in and book a deep tissue
- 1:44Speaker 4: to let off light.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Okay, exactly, I think we should keep this all in.
- 1:49Speaker 5: This is the way that we.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Were starting this podcast guys, with Blake Moy's welcome, We're
- 1:53Speaker 2: talking about massages. I felt the same way Blake. I
- 1:58Speaker 2: was like, I could tell them to just you know,
- 2:00Speaker 2: a little bit less. But then I've never been in
- 2:03Speaker 2: the situation where I had to say a little more,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and especially since I'm pregnant and it was a prenatal massage,
- 2:09Speaker 2: I didn't know whether she was just trying to be
- 2:12Speaker 2: delicate with me. And I'll say this, so it was
- 2:15Speaker 2: like five minutes in that she asked about the pressure,
- 2:18Speaker 2: and at that point she had just done like my
- 2:22Speaker 2: my back, like my shoulders, and I was thinking like, Okay, well,
- 2:25Speaker 2: maybe she's being super gentle because it's prenatal. So that's
- 2:30Speaker 2: why I especially said, yeah, that's good. But then as
- 2:35Speaker 2: soon as she started doing other regions and it was
- 2:38Speaker 2: truly just like applying suntand lotion on me, I was
- 2:43Speaker 2: just like, I made a mistake.
- 2:46Speaker 4: What is like, Okay, so I see prenatal in there
- 2:49Speaker 4: when I like sign up? What what did they like?
- 2:51Speaker 4: Why do they need to right?
- 2:53Speaker 5: What is the difference?
- 2:55Speaker 2: I'm not sure except for the fact that like it
- 2:58Speaker 2: comes with all like the cushions, so like there's the
- 3:00Speaker 2: belly slot and there's like a booby slot, and that's
- 3:04Speaker 2: really nice. But in the other prenatal massages I've had before,
- 3:08Speaker 2: which is only even two, they felt very just normal
- 3:13Speaker 2: except for the cushions.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Ashley, we still want to wish you the happiest of birthdays,
- 3:19Speaker 3: because you deserve to be celebrated. We are very happy
- 3:22Speaker 3: you were born. We mean that. I'm sorry about yesterday.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I would just it was.
- 3:28Speaker 5: A fun story and I was like, this is great content.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Here's the best way to fix the problem that exists
- 3:34Speaker 3: right now. Just book yourself another massage.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Go do it.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Again, just go for it. Why not you deserve it? Blake,
- 3:41Speaker 3: You're with us today to talk about a lot of things,
- 3:44Speaker 3: love life, but also the strip that you just got
- 3:47Speaker 3: back from from South Africa was Zach Clark. Zach Clark
- 3:50Speaker 3: came onto the podcast a few months ago. Just an
- 3:55Speaker 3: incredible episode, not because there's a lot of juice that
- 3:58Speaker 3: came from it, but there's a lot of honesty that
- 4:00Speaker 3: came from it. Can you kind of give us a
- 4:02Speaker 3: rundown just for those who are not aware and maybe
- 4:05Speaker 3: don't follow you on social what you were doing in
- 4:07Speaker 3: South Africa? Why Zach came?
- 4:11Speaker 4: What is it all about? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, so yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 4: So I just got back and I leave tomorrow for
- 4:17Speaker 4: another exhibition. But yeah, South Africa was one hundred kilometers
- 4:23Speaker 4: bike run, kayak and endurance challenge over three four days
- 4:29Speaker 4: to raise money for an organization out there that's trying
- 4:32Speaker 4: to purchase land to connect protected areas for wildlife together
- 4:39Speaker 4: to make bigger areas for wallet because right now everything's fragmented,
- 4:43Speaker 4: so there's protected area, agriculture, human disturbance that blocks them
- 4:47Speaker 4: from getting to the other protected area, and you need
- 4:49Speaker 4: these areas all connected for biodiversity to thrive to elephants
- 4:53Speaker 4: to be able to migrate all of these things. So
- 4:55Speaker 4: it was a fundraiser through challenge and Zach came along
- 4:59Speaker 4: with me to do that one because he's one that
- 5:02Speaker 4: would actually love to do it. Yeah, because these things
- 5:07Speaker 4: aren't for everybody being in that environment. And then the
- 5:09Speaker 4: one hundred clumbers. He's also a runner, so I felt like,
- 5:13Speaker 4: you know, he was a great one to tag along
- 5:15Speaker 4: because if you have the bad apple out there who
- 5:18Speaker 4: just isn't into it when they get out there, it
- 5:19Speaker 4: can ruin everything for everybody. So he was a great
- 5:22Speaker 4: person to come along and do that and just we're
- 5:24Speaker 4: we've been very tight since the since the show three
- 5:28Speaker 4: years ago. So yeah, that's why it was him because
- 5:33Speaker 4: he gets.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Well we saw in your social media at least I
- 5:36Speaker 3: did a video of you crashing. So my big question
- 5:41Speaker 3: for you is did you finish this challenge? And do
- 5:45Speaker 3: you have a broken hip?
- 5:47Speaker 4: No? I don't actually have a broken hip. It was
- 5:49Speaker 4: more like an embellishment exaggeration of how hard I fell.
- 5:54Speaker 4: I did technically finish. I came ten k short on
- 5:58Speaker 4: the run. The last day was a thirty four kilometer
- 6:01Speaker 4: like marathon run.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, this is my life.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I've never trained, so I never have ran more than
- 6:09Speaker 4: two point five k ever in one so so then
- 6:12Speaker 4: all of a sudden, I tried to do this and
- 6:15Speaker 4: my feet so I don't. I don't know if you
- 6:16Speaker 4: guys remember there was a huge infection I had when
- 6:18Speaker 4: I did my wildlife training last year where I like
- 6:20Speaker 4: almost lost my foot due to blistering and infection that
- 6:23Speaker 4: set in. I had to get surgery in South Africa
- 6:25Speaker 4: last year. So when this started setting in and I
- 6:27Speaker 4: got all the blisters on the bottom of my feet
- 6:29Speaker 4: twenty k in, I went to the doctors like, listen,
- 6:31Speaker 4: I can't afford to do this. I have another expedition
- 6:33Speaker 4: coming up. They're like, hey, well, probably smart to pull out.
- 6:37Speaker 4: We'll treat the bottom of your feet and get rid
- 6:39Speaker 4: of these blisters so you're able to go. So technically
- 6:42Speaker 4: ten k short out of the one hundred, which unfortunate,
- 6:45Speaker 4: but it is what it is. I had to be
- 6:47Speaker 4: smart about it.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Sure that makes complete sense. Don't lose your foot over this.
- 6:52Speaker 3: There's a lot of did Zach finish though?
- 6:54Speaker 4: Did he did? He's strong runner, right, So when it
- 6:56Speaker 4: came to the last day of one, was It was
- 6:59Speaker 4: funny though, put him on the bike, cause I have
- 7:00Speaker 4: a ton of experience in the kayak, in the biking aspect,
- 7:03Speaker 4: just through all the schooling and the stuff that I've
- 7:04Speaker 4: been through. So it was funny seeing him on a
- 7:07Speaker 4: bike getting used to that, and then funny enough, I'm
- 7:10Speaker 4: the one who crashes and makes a fool of myself
- 7:12Speaker 4: on it.
- 7:12Speaker 3: But I was so hard actually, I don't know if
- 7:17Speaker 3: you saw this, I will say this, what you know,
- 7:21Speaker 3: Blake's life is one that's admirable. I enjoy the content.
- 7:28Speaker 3: You're an idiot. Honestly, I was watching this. I was like,
- 7:32Speaker 3: this dude is going down a mountain side filming himself
- 7:36Speaker 3: and it's not just like a like when I was
- 7:39Speaker 3: in Peru for a while we did like a bike
- 7:41Speaker 3: ride now in like the most dangerous road. This was
- 7:44Speaker 3: not a road. This was a rocky path and Blake
- 7:47Speaker 3: is filming himself and I'm like this, what is he
- 7:49Speaker 3: thinking is going to happen here? Like there's no way
- 7:52Speaker 3: this does not end how it did.
- 7:54Speaker 4: The thing is is there was a break where it
- 7:57Speaker 4: was when you're going so fast and he've never been
- 7:59Speaker 4: on this trail before, there was like what I could
- 8:02Speaker 4: see not as rocky was a little bit and then
- 8:05Speaker 4: all of a sudden, like it's changed, the terrain changed
- 8:07Speaker 4: and you have one hand on and you're like and
- 8:09Speaker 4: all of a sudden, you know we'll switch is head
- 8:12Speaker 4: over heels.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I'm good you, I'm glad You're okay though, So I
- 8:17Speaker 3: just wanted to say I wanted to get it out
- 8:18Speaker 3: there that like, if if we were closer and your
- 8:20Speaker 3: friend of mine, I would have texted you been like
- 8:22Speaker 3: what were you thinking? But I get to tell you here.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I got enough of those anyways, so it's okay.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Did you and Zach like sit together on the long
- 8:30Speaker 5: plane ride?
- 8:31Speaker 4: I was traveling with Zach uh Zach's Zach is just
- 8:35Speaker 4: so even keel, calm and everything. He's the he was
- 8:38Speaker 4: the easiest to travel with. We didn't get to sit together.
- 8:42Speaker 4: He had a like not the not the he had
- 8:45Speaker 4: a seat up, like an upgrade up because he, I guess,
- 8:47Speaker 4: travels with United all the time, so I an economy.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Same with Ben. Ben gets upgrade all the time because
- 8:52Speaker 2: his United miles are like, well okay, yeah, he logs
- 8:55Speaker 2: them every other day. The man is on a United
- 8:58Speaker 2: plan every other day just.
- 9:00Speaker 3: To get upgraded. That's all I want to do. Actually,
- 9:02Speaker 3: I just want to get upgraded all the time.
- 9:04Speaker 4: A bit about that though, I get it.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yeah, Now, Blake, as we kind of close up, what's
- 9:10Speaker 3: this next expedition? You know, I'm curious kind of what
- 9:14Speaker 3: is life looking like for you? And you're going on
- 9:16Speaker 3: these expeditions and you're raising funds for wildlife protection and
- 9:21Speaker 3: these protected areas and these animals, but kind of how
- 9:26Speaker 3: does life look on a day to day basis? Like
- 9:29Speaker 3: make it make sense all of us?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Okay, So how do I explain this and short? The
- 9:35Speaker 4: next expedition I'm going on is tomorrow. We're running. I
- 9:38Speaker 4: partner with nonprofit organizations to help get funding for them.
- 9:42Speaker 4: That happens in a bunch of different ways. One being expeditions.
- 9:45Speaker 4: So we bring people along on conservation impact style expeditions
- 9:49Speaker 4: where they get to interact with animals, sometimes get hands
- 9:52Speaker 4: on and some of the research and all that stuff.
- 9:54Speaker 4: And so I run a bunch of these. We have
- 9:56Speaker 4: a bunch more coming up. We're about to launch three
- 9:58Speaker 4: shark ones back to back in Florida of South Africa
- 10:01Speaker 4: in May. I have another trip to Kenya right after that,
- 10:05Speaker 4: where we're doing work with elephants and putting satellite callers
- 10:09Speaker 4: on elephants for tracking and research purposes. So it's expedition
- 10:14Speaker 4: or research project one after another with nonprofit organizations for
- 10:19Speaker 4: the most part, and that's kind of my life is
- 10:21Speaker 4: traveling and doing this work. But it's also a lifestyle.
- 10:25Speaker 4: So it's been really rewarding to be able to make
- 10:30Speaker 4: work my passion and then it also gives back. So
- 10:34Speaker 4: that's really takes me away from the life that I
- 10:37Speaker 4: have had here and which also makes it difficult to
- 10:40Speaker 4: find somebody in this lifestyle. The partner, my partner would
- 10:45Speaker 4: need to be on board, and it just doesn't seem
- 10:48Speaker 4: like it's easy to find.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Okay, well, we want to get into that in a second,
- 10:52Speaker 2: but we also I want to ask you, and we
- 10:54Speaker 2: know that you were involved with wildlife before the show,
- 10:56Speaker 2: but would you have been able to do these partnerships
- 10:58Speaker 2: so successfully if it for it?
- 11:02Speaker 4: No, the show, I mean, the show has been a
- 11:04Speaker 4: massive part in letting that all play out. I was
- 11:09Speaker 4: always involved in wildlife, but not to the stream of
- 11:12Speaker 4: exotics and be able to work with nonprofits for conservation
- 11:16Speaker 4: because if very quick.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Now you're like the celebrity contest well, not contestant, but
- 11:21Speaker 2: like participant.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Yes, yes, so realistically, I mean what it comes down
- 11:27Speaker 4: to is the value liese in voice. There's just not
- 11:30Speaker 4: voices in conservation or want to dedicate their time to that.
- 11:33Speaker 4: So the partnership is very mutual, and so my value
- 11:38Speaker 4: is that voice and be able to uplift and provide
- 11:42Speaker 4: a voice for their initiatives and projects. So yeah, the
- 11:45Speaker 4: show has definitely helped in that capacity. Now it's just
- 11:47Speaker 4: sustained itself because of all the shit that I've been
- 11:51Speaker 4: doing for two years that have I wouldn't say classifies
- 11:54Speaker 4: me as an expert, but I've been in master classes
- 11:56Speaker 4: now with you know, Shark Week experts and people that
- 12:00Speaker 4: have expertise and rhinos and elephants and translocations and vet work.
- 12:05Speaker 4: So I have now very very good understanding and knowledge
- 12:10Speaker 4: base and that can just continues as I continue to
- 12:14Speaker 4: do all this work in all these different specialties.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Where does this lead? Like kind of where do you
- 12:19Speaker 3: see yourself with this in five years? What are you
- 12:22Speaker 3: working towards?
- 12:24Speaker 4: So I mean interestingly enough, and I haven't necessarily signed NDA,
- 12:28Speaker 4: so I can speak on a little bit. We just
- 12:31Speaker 4: got back from Peru and Bolivia, but Perue. Mostly we're
- 12:35Speaker 4: in the infancy stage and we have funding to start
- 12:39Speaker 4: shooting a long feature documentary with some good backing and
- 12:43Speaker 4: some already a lot of interest from some networks, which
- 12:47Speaker 4: is great and it's good be mission driven. So there's
- 12:50Speaker 4: that we're working on in the background, aside from all
- 12:52Speaker 4: the exhibitions and stuff that I'm doing. There's a couple
- 12:56Speaker 4: lines in the water just in terms of other potential
- 13:00Speaker 4: TV appearance things in this space as well too that
- 13:04Speaker 4: I can't speak on right now, but there's things happening
- 13:07Speaker 4: on that front. So you know, I don't know exactly
- 13:10Speaker 4: what things look like in the wildlife space, but I
- 13:12Speaker 4: would say that there's more I do this, the more
- 13:14Speaker 4: interest there is in that, and a lot of reach
- 13:17Speaker 4: outs are coming from the TV space, but just expedition
- 13:21Speaker 4: is nonprofits, all these things, so I just continue to
- 13:24Speaker 4: continue to see it kind of flourish in that direction.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Now to dating. So it sounds the way you disworded it.
- 13:44Speaker 2: In your tone, that like it's unfortunate for you that
- 13:48Speaker 2: you are having a hard time finding somebody who's okay
- 13:51Speaker 2: with the lifestyle.
- 13:53Speaker 4: That yes, that, but I also am finding a hard
- 13:57Speaker 4: time how do you prioritize both right? Both require lots
- 14:04Speaker 4: of effort and time. One's the stuff that I'm doing
- 14:07Speaker 4: right now, which is taken up all of my time,
- 14:08Speaker 4: and so it's hard to then break off of that
- 14:11Speaker 4: and be able to give effort and time to letting
- 14:15Speaker 4: a relationship first connection happen to an extent where you
- 14:18Speaker 4: want to then put in the work for it to
- 14:22Speaker 4: make it blossom. And so it's hard to do both
- 14:24Speaker 4: of those things. Sometimes I'm remote and I can't even communicate,
- 14:28Speaker 4: So how do you even get a relationship going at
- 14:30Speaker 4: that point or a connection going? And then how do
- 14:33Speaker 4: you maintain and sustain it when other people have needs?
- 14:36Speaker 4: And if I can't, it's been hard to manage both.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Sometimes I get excited about a certain person that I'm
- 14:43Speaker 4: dating or seeing, and then I'm off for three weeks
- 14:47Speaker 4: and it kind of might dissipate, or you know, sometimes
- 14:50Speaker 4: I feel like I have an obligation once you start
- 14:52Speaker 4: connecting with somebody to try to provide, and you're not
- 14:55Speaker 4: providing emotionally or like getting to texts or getting to
- 14:58Speaker 4: calls or being physically present. So I'm finding there's a
- 15:02Speaker 4: balance there, and I'm not balancing it very well right now,
- 15:06Speaker 4: and so I don't know where it goes, to be honest,
- 15:10Speaker 4: right now, I'm kind of lost in the relationship space
- 15:13Speaker 4: and how to go about it.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Is it one of the reasons why you went on
- 15:16Speaker 3: Paradise was the idea that you would be able to
- 15:18Speaker 3: focus on it for a bit and then did I mean,
- 15:23Speaker 3: I guess it's a two part or if something from
- 15:25Speaker 3: Paradise would have worked out for you, like, how do
- 15:28Speaker 3: you think that works out in the real world?
- 15:31Speaker 4: Then yeah, So to that two part question, I in
- 15:37Speaker 4: this really really weird way we have. I mean, and
- 15:43Speaker 4: you probably both know this. Even though you're in relationships,
- 15:48Speaker 4: there are so many distractions in everyday life right now
- 15:50Speaker 4: that it's the I find it's the hardest to actually
- 15:53Speaker 4: connect and then maintain before something like fizzled out. There's
- 15:56Speaker 4: so many distractions, whether it's work, other people, dating apps,
- 15:59Speaker 4: all of these things. Weirdly enough, Paradise for the amount
- 16:05Speaker 4: the time that we're there every day, no phones, no music,
- 16:08Speaker 4: no job I can go to, no business stuff, no
- 16:11Speaker 4: other distraction aside from other women coming down. You literally
- 16:15Speaker 4: are That's what we need nowadays. Put the phones away
- 16:19Speaker 4: all and just focus on that person. That's why I
- 16:22Speaker 4: was able to develop feelings for Jesh, which was so nice.
- 16:25Speaker 4: I remember them being like thinking that I was going
- 16:28Speaker 4: to be walking away with her, and things obviously didn't
- 16:30Speaker 4: turn out that way. But yeah, I loved Paradise for
- 16:33Speaker 4: that because it forced you to get away from the
- 16:38Speaker 4: that doesn't allow us to connect nowadays, right, all the distractions.
- 16:41Speaker 4: They're all so loved it for that. The second part
- 16:44Speaker 4: was you asked how would it have worked out?
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:49Speaker 4: Good question. I don't really know what I could say.
- 16:53Speaker 4: I think to that is, I also do have the
- 16:57Speaker 4: ability to bring people along with me and my partner
- 17:00Speaker 4: or along with me on these things. Would they be
- 17:01Speaker 4: able to at every time?
- 17:02Speaker 6: Know?
- 17:02Speaker 4: But I would be able to have them come for
- 17:06Speaker 4: whatever they wanted to. Would I also try to maybe
- 17:08Speaker 4: dial back the amount that I'm away, Yes, especially if
- 17:11Speaker 4: I really believed in that relationship. So I don't know,
- 17:18Speaker 4: but I think that the issue here is trying to
- 17:21Speaker 4: find a connection where I then have to make that
- 17:23Speaker 4: decision right now. Mection that reform. Never had to think
- 17:26Speaker 4: about it. But I think if someone really made sense
- 17:29Speaker 4: for me, I would find a way to pull away
- 17:31Speaker 4: from you know, these guys here a little bit then,
- 17:35Speaker 4: and and you know, and find that space for to
- 17:37Speaker 4: be able to give enough of that to foster that
- 17:40Speaker 4: relationship which had to make that decision yet.
- 17:46Speaker 2: No, but it's it's I like the way you talk
- 17:48Speaker 2: about it. It's sweet, Like you can definitely tell it's
- 17:50Speaker 2: a priority in life, as you could tell on the
- 17:52Speaker 2: show that it was a priority in life for you.
- 17:55Speaker 4: I've been a relationship person all of my twenties two
- 17:58Speaker 4: and a half years, two years, three years, three and
- 18:01Speaker 4: a half years, and then the show. Stuff has happened
- 18:04Speaker 4: and it has made things and it's been difficult, it's
- 18:07Speaker 4: been challenging. As you know, we come off the show.
- 18:09Speaker 4: There's just it's just everything's weird. It's different, you look
- 18:11Speaker 4: at things different. There's so I am a little lost
- 18:14Speaker 4: in that space for sure right now. And I and
- 18:16Speaker 4: I always used to be so confident in it.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I guess the big question then for
- 18:21Speaker 3: people that follow you are rooting for you, that are
- 18:23Speaker 3: wanting you to find what you're looking for. I know
- 18:29Speaker 3: you just said you're lost, but kind of what I'm
- 18:31Speaker 3: sure it crossed your mind. How are you seeing dating
- 18:35Speaker 3: for you in the next couple of years? You know,
- 18:37Speaker 3: how do you see that looking?
- 18:41Speaker 4: I have been trying to put myself out there more
- 18:44Speaker 4: and I have been going on dates and connecting with people,
- 18:46Speaker 4: and there's like lots of potential there. I don't. I
- 18:53Speaker 4: don't really I'm hoping ben, to be honest with you,
- 18:57Speaker 4: I'm hoping I go on one of these expeditions and
- 18:58Speaker 4: there's a girl like my space that I'm just like, wow,
- 19:03Speaker 4: and she gets it. She wants to be out there
- 19:04Speaker 4: with me and want or at least shares the same
- 19:07Speaker 4: passions though I'm out doing these things. She's like, good
- 19:10Speaker 4: for you. I wish who's like gets that feeling that
- 19:14Speaker 4: animals can bring to people, or those those awe aha
- 19:18Speaker 4: moments out in wild life, that like she would never
- 19:20Speaker 4: want to take those things away, or I can be
- 19:22Speaker 4: I'm just hoping I find someone in my space to
- 19:23Speaker 4: be honest, and hopefully I go on enough of these
- 19:25Speaker 4: that she just pops up one day. Because outside of that,
- 19:30Speaker 4: like being here in my hometown or wherever I'm traveling,
- 19:32Speaker 4: like it's gonna be difficult, But I don't close the
- 19:36Speaker 4: door either, right, It's like, hey, well I'm not ready.
- 19:38Speaker 4: I can't give my time to somebody yet but in
- 19:41Speaker 4: saying like, Okay, well I'm gonna stop dating, Well, I
- 19:43Speaker 4: don't want to ever close that door. That I'd be stupid,
- 19:45Speaker 4: So I keep it open and hoping that someone just
- 19:48Speaker 4: rips it wide open and gives me that feeling of like, hey,
- 19:51Speaker 4: now I'm gonna you know, because it's a disservice to
- 19:54Speaker 4: myself too, because I naturally want it. I want somebody
- 19:57Speaker 4: I you know, I lay in this bed, I'm and
- 20:00Speaker 4: he's watching a wrong com or whatever. I'm like, like,
- 20:03Speaker 4: I haven't had that forever. Like I love that, we
- 20:06Speaker 4: all want it, but and I would do myself a
- 20:08Speaker 4: disservice to turn that off and be like because I'm
- 20:12Speaker 4: gonna you know, I love what I do, and it's
- 20:17Speaker 4: it's a it's a it's a it's a challenge for sure.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Did Zach talk about his dating life at all with you?
- 20:24Speaker 4: Oh? Why did I feel like you're gonna go there?
- 20:26Speaker 4: I knew it. I just knew it.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Good job, Ashley.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Yes, and no, to be honest, I mean you probably
- 20:35Speaker 4: see that. I mean the rumors and all those things.
- 20:41Speaker 4: It probably plays into you know. You see, Zach doesn't
- 20:46Speaker 4: comment on all and any of those things. He's just
- 20:49Speaker 4: very nonchalant and the guy when I have asked, he
- 20:53Speaker 4: is very it's almost like, you don't. I don't want
- 20:57Speaker 4: to tell you anything because then you get wrapped up
- 20:59Speaker 4: in it and people know we're close, so people are
- 21:01Speaker 4: going to know that you potentially know stuff. And so
- 21:03Speaker 4: when I ask, you know, I went to the New
- 21:05Speaker 4: Year's thing and all that stuff, like yes, do I
- 21:10Speaker 4: know that they are hanging out and have yes? But
- 21:14Speaker 4: he does not give me the guts because when I
- 21:18Speaker 4: have asked, he makes it awkward and so, Okay, I'm
- 21:20Speaker 4: just not going to go there again with you. He
- 21:22Speaker 4: just doesn't want to feed and play into that, and
- 21:27Speaker 4: he's just not he's all business and he's just he's
- 21:31Speaker 4: not a very emotional guy with me in that sense.
- 21:36Speaker 4: But I think he also is in some way protecting
- 21:38Speaker 4: me from whatever is going on on that he doesn't
- 21:42Speaker 4: want me wrapped up in it because he knows everyone
- 21:44Speaker 4: knows we're tight, and so that I don't. It's he
- 21:48Speaker 4: makes it awkward to talk about, so we just don't
- 21:50Speaker 4: really talk about it. Well.
- 22:02Speaker 3: One of the things that's admirable about Zach too is
- 22:05Speaker 3: a lot of people go through this world and then
- 22:07Speaker 3: they're looking left and right for the next headline. And yes,
- 22:10Speaker 3: a lot of what he's doing right now could create
- 22:12Speaker 3: some very spicy headlines, some headlines that would definitely attract
- 22:17Speaker 3: people to have Zach's name on their computers or on
- 22:21Speaker 3: their phones every day. I think the lack of his
- 22:24Speaker 3: interest in creating a headline as something admirable, and I
- 22:27Speaker 3: think it shows the authenticity and the genuineness to whatever
- 22:32Speaker 3: connection exists. If it does, if it doesn't, you know,
- 22:34Speaker 3: whatever comes up. I think that is something that not
- 22:36Speaker 3: a lot of people in this world invest into. But
- 22:39Speaker 3: I think Zach's one of those guys, especially after you're
- 22:41Speaker 3: talking about on the podcast, that really cares about, Hey,
- 22:44Speaker 3: if I'm going to do this thing, it's not because
- 22:46Speaker 3: it's going to make me more money or it's going
- 22:48Speaker 3: to keep my name out there.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Yes, exactly, he is. He moves with so much bois
- 22:58Speaker 4: and just calmus, and he's so happy in his own
- 23:03Speaker 4: life and so wrapped up in trying to continue to
- 23:06Speaker 4: help people through Lease Recovery Foundation and all his work
- 23:10Speaker 4: that there's no there's no money aspect to this at all.
- 23:15Speaker 4: There's no ulterior motives to it, and you know, it's
- 23:20Speaker 4: just it's just part of the course with that guy.
- 23:23Speaker 4: That's why he's just easy to be around in that sense,
- 23:26Speaker 4: because there's no other noise, there's nother you just get
- 23:29Speaker 4: an actual true friends. The show stuff is just so
- 23:33Speaker 4: and the public stuff is so to the side. He's
- 23:38Speaker 4: just you know what I mean. So it's nice because
- 23:41Speaker 4: when I'm with him, I mean, as you probably both know,
- 23:44Speaker 4: once you've done this show and you're around the other
- 23:47Speaker 4: people done the show, the show is like just seems
- 23:49Speaker 4: to be always part of the conversation With Zach. I
- 23:53Speaker 4: never we never talk about the show. It's about what
- 23:56Speaker 4: he's doing. I'm doing the work. It's never show based conversation,
- 24:02Speaker 4: which is a really nice disconnect because a lot of
- 24:04Speaker 4: the times when I'm in these group settings, it always
- 24:07Speaker 4: always built the show this or that episode, and there's
- 24:10Speaker 4: none of that with him, which is such a breath
- 24:13Speaker 4: of fresh air.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Okay, so speaking of the show, actually I do have
- 24:16Speaker 3: one question here, speaking of the show, speaking of love,
- 24:19Speaker 3: speaking of some of our favorite people in the world,
- 24:22Speaker 3: have you and Rachel ever made out.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Rachel this Rachel season?
- 24:28Speaker 5: We know now no, Rachel Lindsay, No, sure, no, Reky Oh,
- 24:39Speaker 5: Rachel Rekia. Oh my god, how did I not.
- 24:42Speaker 3: On a trip together? They We talked to Rachel about
- 24:44Speaker 3: this and we she this was I think pre trip
- 24:49Speaker 3: and I see the two of them being really good together,
- 24:52Speaker 3: and so I want to know, like they spend time together,
- 24:55Speaker 3: they're friendly, they like each other. Has it ever been anything?
- 25:01Speaker 2: Oh my god, They've totally made I which you guys
- 25:03Speaker 2: could have seen his face.
- 25:06Speaker 3: That's no.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I swear I'm very much, very much a book, And
- 25:12Speaker 4: I would just tell you if we have. We legit
- 25:15Speaker 4: have not, but like maybe tell you if I would
- 25:20Speaker 4: tell you if we if we did, I would we
- 25:23Speaker 4: are like she is my go to She's my go
- 25:26Speaker 4: to confident with and not front okay dating.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that leads in perfectly to my next question. So
- 25:35Speaker 2: your friends, you're close with Zach and with Rachel. Of
- 25:37Speaker 2: all the three seasons you've done, the Tasia, Claire, the
- 25:41Speaker 2: Katie and then Paradise, which cast would you do it
- 25:45Speaker 2: all over again with?
- 25:47Speaker 3: Mhm?
- 25:48Speaker 4: The first the first one Claire Claire. That was a
- 25:51Speaker 4: good cast. It was the most It was really good.
- 25:55Speaker 4: The guys were awesome. But you know, it's not to
- 25:57Speaker 4: take away from Katie's season and those guys there. But
- 26:00Speaker 4: you know, when you do it for the first time,
- 26:01Speaker 4: it's exciting, it's new. It's different when you When I
- 26:03Speaker 4: went back for KS, it's just like, can've been this before?
- 26:05Speaker 4: The same excitement wasn't there on like the experience aspect.
- 26:08Speaker 4: The excitement was there for Holy this is a really
- 26:11Speaker 4: blossom relationship with that excitement was there, but the show
- 26:14Speaker 4: experienced itself the first time in that cast and going
- 26:16Speaker 4: through it with everyone.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Is speaking of Tasha and clar Season Ben Smith, I
- 26:22Speaker 2: don't know how close you were, but did you see
- 26:24Speaker 2: that Britney Spears posted a picture of him.
- 26:27Speaker 4: I someone said it to me. I remember, and I
- 26:30Speaker 4: was like I didn't. I was like you, being like, what,
- 26:32Speaker 4: how what? I don't understand. I still don't. I know
- 26:37Speaker 4: he does some type of work in that space with
- 26:41Speaker 4: like musicians and things like that.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Oh really, yeah he does.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Like I know he does stuff with oh oh oh
- 26:49Speaker 4: oh DJs one of my favorites and I'm blanking on
- 26:53Speaker 4: them hard.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Like a big DJ, like a DJ that like is
- 26:56Speaker 5: a household name sort of thing.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, he travels with things that.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Oh, so you're saying that it could just not be
- 27:03Speaker 2: a random photo that Brittany posted from the Internet.
- 27:07Speaker 4: I don't. Yeah, it could very well be that there's
- 27:10Speaker 4: maybe some link there where he's helping. He helps with
- 27:13Speaker 4: like not just mental health, but I think keeping people
- 27:16Speaker 4: on track, so like you know, not drinking, and they'll
- 27:18Speaker 4: do you know, work together and workouts on the road
- 27:22Speaker 4: and stuff like that. So I think he does stuff
- 27:24Speaker 4: in that space, so there could be some there. Maybe
- 27:27Speaker 4: he actually does work with her. I don't really know.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Oh, appreciate that insight.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I did DM him no response, but also it didn't
- 27:35Speaker 2: look like he read it. However, when he saw the
- 27:37Speaker 2: first line of the message, he definitely knew it was
- 27:40Speaker 2: about and probably didn't open it.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Hard to say, but that it's not that random to
- 27:45Speaker 4: me knowing that he was post there because I know
- 27:47Speaker 4: he's done space work in that space with other notable
- 27:51Speaker 4: people before.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Alrighty, and then my last question for you is just
- 27:58Speaker 5: you talk to Jess anymore?
- 28:01Speaker 4: Yeah? Yes, yes, she she and I have It's a
- 28:07Speaker 4: very just good, healthy relationship. We have not explored in
- 28:13Speaker 4: a romantic sense, but I think yeah, I mean, it's
- 28:21Speaker 4: it's an interesting one, right, Like there's a general curiosity there,
- 28:25Speaker 4: but I think no, Okay, Like I said, all the
- 28:32Speaker 4: things I've already talked about, is what plays into like
- 28:34Speaker 4: you know, the potential? I don't know.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Okay, Blake, you are close with Kylie and we know
- 28:39Speaker 2: that she had quite the breakup post the airing of
- 28:43Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise. We need I'd love to know more
- 28:47Speaker 2: about this. I know that Nick had her on her
- 28:50Speaker 2: on the podcast and we got some more details about
- 28:54Speaker 2: that breakup and the cheating and all that that went down.
- 28:57Speaker 5: Did would there ever be a thing with you two?
- 29:02Speaker 2: Since we saw that you were so close on the
- 29:04Speaker 2: show that we thought that you were going to make.
- 29:06Speaker 5: Out when you got in the black car.
- 29:10Speaker 4: No. No, and Jess Mercedes and Kye lived together now
- 29:15Speaker 4: in San Diego.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Oh, that would be a very sloppy situation.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Very very very not one that I have the mental
- 29:21Speaker 4: capacity to handle or entertain in any way. And so no,
- 29:26Speaker 4: I mean from Kylie's front, she wouldn't and I wouldn't.
- 29:29Speaker 4: And no, there's nothing, nothing there. But I'm seeing the
- 29:36Speaker 4: rumors that the potentially back together are trying to make
- 29:38Speaker 4: things work again. I don't know. I've traveled so much
- 29:41Speaker 4: that I I just see the headlines.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Do you Okay?
- 29:44Speaker 4: Sorry?
- 29:44Speaker 5: As my eyes are bugging out.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Well.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Last week when we had Braydon on, he heard that
- 29:50Speaker 2: one of the the Paradise couples that had broken up
- 29:53Speaker 2: were trying to rekindle things. He teased this for us,
- 29:56Speaker 2: didn't give any names even and Kylie would have been
- 29:59Speaker 2: the last.
- 30:01Speaker 5: I would assume would be rekindling, and Blake is giving
- 30:04Speaker 5: us other information with his facial expressions right now.
- 30:08Speaker 4: No, I honestly, i'd be surprised too. I think obviously
- 30:12Speaker 4: when something like that happens, there's that's a big hurdle
- 30:14Speaker 4: to overcome to try and rekindle and trust and all
- 30:18Speaker 4: that stuff. So I'm with you, I'd be I would
- 30:20Speaker 4: be surprised, But I don't know. My my rumors are
- 30:26Speaker 4: as good as your rumors.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Who is the couple that you think could possibly get
- 30:31Speaker 2: back together?
- 30:33Speaker 4: Like, I really when I'm thinking about them, I really,
- 30:37Speaker 4: that's the only one that I feel like.
- 30:40Speaker 6: Was strong enough to begin with, I enough to begin
- 30:42Speaker 6: with to then you know, re try to even write
- 30:46Speaker 6: so because none of the mouse makes sense to me
- 30:48Speaker 6: that they would try to none stand out.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Now that we're just on the topic, I gotta throw
- 30:54Speaker 2: these names out for you. What the heck happened with
- 30:56Speaker 2: Aaron and Eliza because we saw that Eliza moved on fast.
- 31:00Speaker 4: That there's just there wasn't even an acknowledgment of the
- 31:04Speaker 4: ending of it.
- 31:04Speaker 2: It was just Yeah, she never even acknowledged him honestly
- 31:08Speaker 2: on her social media.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Yeah. I know, that's an interesting one. I mean, you know,
- 31:13Speaker 4: we talked there. I have not talked to her since.
- 31:16Speaker 4: I just feel like she's really disconnected and that kind
- 31:19Speaker 4: of shows.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Okay, well, thanks for the dish.
- 31:23Speaker 2: We really are I always like a little gossip, you know,
- 31:25Speaker 2: I've got to throw it in there with the serious stuff.
- 31:27Speaker 3: This has been another Almost Famous podcast. We have one
- 31:30Speaker 3: of Bachination's favorites, one of the names that continues uh
- 31:35Speaker 3: to interest people not only because of who he was
- 31:37Speaker 3: on the show, but who he is outside of the show.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Blake Moys. Thanks for joining us today.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Thank you for having me. It's great to be here.
- 31:43Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
