- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Homemark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a
- 0:16Speaker 1: former Hallmark hater. Today we're discussing Love under the Mistletoe,
- 0:19Speaker 1: which originally aired on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, July twenty fifth.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And before you yell at us, yes, we are aware
- 0:25Speaker 1: that it did air elsewhere. First, if you have thoughts
- 0:29Speaker 1: on this movie or anything else we're discussing over here
- 0:31Speaker 1: on Girls Gone Hallmark, please email us hello at Girlsgnhollmark
- 0:35Speaker 1: dot com. And I would like to read a comment
- 0:37Speaker 1: from last week's episode. You Wendy had asked what the
- 0:40Speaker 1: viewers want when it comes to Christmas in July, and
- 0:43Speaker 1: this comment comes from Michelle on Spotify. She says, I'd
- 0:46Speaker 1: rather have two months of summer slash Island movies and
- 0:49Speaker 1: a solid month of fall slash Halloween before Christmas starts
- 0:53Speaker 1: in late October. Christmas in July just doesn't have what
- 0:56Speaker 1: it used to quality over quantity. Agree me too. I
- 1:02Speaker 1: love the idea of just two solid months of summer
- 1:07Speaker 1: and then yes, I don't care in September we get
- 1:11Speaker 1: fall movies. That would be amazing because I feel like
- 1:14Speaker 1: there's a real absence of fall movies too. So here
- 1:19Speaker 1: are cries homemark. Yeah, I agree with that completely. And
- 1:23Speaker 1: if you want to have your re airs with the
- 1:25Speaker 1: month of July beat Christmas theme, do it lean into
- 1:28Speaker 1: Christmas in July. This is totally fine, But I would
- 1:32Speaker 1: rather have a quality movie over these acquisitions. Same, Snowbound
- 1:39Speaker 1: was my favorite for the month. I'm telling you right now,
- 1:43Speaker 1: mine too, last week's Marcus Rosner movie. Yes, I absolutely
- 1:47Speaker 1: agree because my review is going to sound like what
- 1:50Speaker 1: the heck with these Christmas in July movies? But I
- 1:53Speaker 1: will say that is the only movie that I liked
- 1:55Speaker 1: out of the four. Yeah, it's the only one I
- 1:57Speaker 1: would rewatch. Same, It's insme, well, why aren't you Hammy?
- 2:02Speaker 1: With the synopsis for Love under the Missletoe, Grace and
- 2:06Speaker 1: her former high school crush Ryan worked together to revive
- 2:11Speaker 1: the beloved charity fundraiser and seem to constantly find themselves
- 2:15Speaker 1: under a strategically placed missiletoe. Love under the Missletoe was
- 2:21Speaker 1: previously released in twenty twenty four under the title Operation
- 2:25Speaker 1: Missiletoe and aired both on Hulu and also the CEEDW.
- 2:28Speaker 1: When did the c W start putting out great question week,
- 2:33Speaker 1: not even weekly, but like a Christmas movie. Yeah, but
- 2:36Speaker 1: I got to say, twenty twenty four was well past
- 2:39Speaker 1: my CW days, so I don't know what they got
- 2:40Speaker 1: going on over there. Yeah, me neither. Bradley Walsh directed
- 2:45Speaker 1: Under the Missiletoe. Bradley has fifty four directing credits, and
- 2:48Speaker 1: his last movie was A Royal Setting, which also starred
- 2:52Speaker 1: Jin Lily. Other Hallmark movies of his include Twas the
- 2:56Speaker 1: Date Before Christmas and Catch Me If you clause to that,
- 3:00Speaker 1: I say, what what? Because those movies were great? Right?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 1: The screenplay was written by Ansley Gordon and marks her
- 3:10Speaker 1: twenty sixth writing credit. Previous projects include A Royal Setting
- 3:14Speaker 1: and the forthcoming Ossie at Heart. Jen Lelly stars as Grace.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Jen returned to Hallmark earlier this year in A Royal Setting.
- 3:22Speaker 1: She will appear in the forthcoming theatrical release of a
- 3:25Speaker 1: movie called Jimmy about Jimmy Stewart mm isn't a Sarah
- 3:31Speaker 1: Drew Thank You. Nick Bateman stars as Ryan. Nick's most
- 3:35Speaker 1: recent work was in the series When Hope Calls, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: his last Hallmark movie was from twenty nineteen in A
- 3:39Speaker 1: Brush with love. Hey, Wendy, what was your first impression
- 3:43Speaker 1: of Lomond of the Missletoe? Somewhere there's a Lego minifigure
- 3:47Speaker 1: walking around wondering who stole its hair?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Did you see that?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Someone in our Facebook group called him baby Marcus Rossner.
- 3:57Speaker 2: No, I didn't he handsome.
- 4:00Speaker 1: His hair was dreadful. And then they said, why does
- 4:04Speaker 1: his hair always look like a peaky blinder's hat. Oh,
- 4:10Speaker 1: he's incredibly handsome, my husband said about him. Why does
- 4:15Speaker 1: this dude who can bone anything that walks care about
- 4:19Speaker 1: his small town crush? But his first impression, basically, my
- 4:24Speaker 1: first impression is is there some sort of fine for
- 4:27Speaker 1: not wearing some variation of red and green in this
- 4:30Speaker 1: town during the month of December? That's I hate that stuff.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I hate everybody, everybody.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I mean, can I talk about the red headphones?
- 4:41Speaker 1: My gosh, sure, I sull I gotta say, my gosh,
- 4:45Speaker 1: why are they so huge?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Why are they so huge? And does she have a
- 4:49Speaker 2: pair for every season?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Maybe? Yeah? And nobody wants where red headphones is like
- 4:54Speaker 1: that in September.
- 4:56Speaker 2: No March.
- 4:58Speaker 1: No, let me just be transparent here. This was not
- 5:02Speaker 1: my favorite movie, not my favorite movie ever, not my
- 5:05Speaker 1: favorite movie of the month, but I do have a
- 5:09Speaker 1: few ETYBD likes. Same to me, this movie was pleasant
- 5:13Speaker 1: and that is the nicest compliment I can give.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I think like production wise, I know you're like just
- 5:21Speaker 1: ragging on like everybody wearing red and green, but production wise,
- 5:25Speaker 1: it feels festive, it feels Christmas. Yes, yes, there's nothing
- 5:30Speaker 1: like aggressively terrible from like a movie standpoint. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 5:37Speaker 1: But here's my problem, and I know this is this
- 5:40Speaker 1: is like a like wrapped up in a wish for
- 5:44Speaker 1: the finale of Christmas in July lineup. Pleasant should not
- 5:49Speaker 1: be the ceiling. Yeah, so I agree with everything you said.
- 5:53Speaker 1: We I had I actually have Sinse deleted it. We
- 5:56Speaker 1: said in our First Impressions of the Month of July episode,
- 6:00Speaker 1: knowing that this was a reair and knowing that a
- 6:03Speaker 1: royal setting was another acquisition from Hallmark. Technically, Jen Lily
- 6:07Speaker 1: is back on Hallmark, but they're not making heavy for her.
- 6:10Speaker 1: They're just like acquiring these movies that have her in them.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And we had said, like, I want Jen Lily in
- 6:15Speaker 1: a movie made for Jen Lily, not in just these
- 6:18Speaker 1: like low budget vehicles that we can get her in
- 6:21Speaker 1: and people were like, she's in two movies this year,
- 6:24Speaker 1: what more do you want?
- 6:25Speaker 2: You're not listening, Woo.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Spicy take guys. We wanted honesty there.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It is they aren't listening. That's not what we're saying.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I'm not saying I want more Jen Lily all over
- 6:33Speaker 1: the place. If you're going to bring Jen Lilly back
- 6:36Speaker 1: to the network, and gen Lily is one of those
- 6:38Speaker 1: people whom I have to separate the art from the artist.
- 6:42Speaker 1: But if you're going to bring her back and her
- 6:45Speaker 1: big Disney princess eyes and her bubbly personality, give her
- 6:48Speaker 1: a movie that is meant for her because people tune
- 6:52Speaker 1: in for her. And if you notice, our first impressions
- 6:55Speaker 1: of our on Instagram and Facebook were largely positive. And
- 6:58Speaker 1: I think it's the Jen Lily effect. One hundred percent
- 7:02Speaker 1: agree with you, But I just think, imagine what you
- 7:05Speaker 1: could do with her, Imagine the audience she would bring
- 7:10Speaker 1: if you were giving her something to cook with.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Right, that sounds like a wish. It is a.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Wish, Damn Megan. Well, let me talk a little bit
- 7:18Speaker 1: about my likes. I agree with you that this movie
- 7:20Speaker 1: was pleasant and I actually thought this cast vibed well together.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I didn't think Grace and Ryan had like crazy chemitry
- 7:26Speaker 1: at all, but I thought they were very pleasant on
- 7:28Speaker 1: screen together, Grace and her bestie, Grace and her brother.
- 7:31Speaker 1: They were all nice and comfortable and easy to watch
- 7:34Speaker 1: on camera.
- 7:35Speaker 2: But your your.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Point about nothing standing out made me think of have
- 7:42Speaker 1: you ever seen an AI generated image that, when you
- 7:45Speaker 1: look closer, has like actual gibberish on it.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yes, So you look at it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And you're like, oh, that's cute. And then you look
- 7:53Speaker 1: and you're like, that's not a word. What's happening over there?
- 7:55Speaker 1: And so that's the vibe I get, like this has
- 7:58Speaker 1: like the wash of a Chris Smith's movie with like
- 8:01Speaker 1: pleasant interactions. But we'll get to it in my wishes,
- 8:04Speaker 1: it's not quite getting there. I love that analogy. That's amazing.
- 8:10Speaker 1: The other thing is, to your point, if you've listened
- 8:13Speaker 1: to this podcast this month, you know that my husband
- 8:15Speaker 1: has been on the Christmas in July journey with me,
- 8:17Speaker 1: and he has watched a few of the Hallmark Hall
- 8:21Speaker 1: of Fame movies, and you know his complaint is not
- 8:24Speaker 1: enough Christmas, not enough Christmas, and that's accurate. This one
- 8:27Speaker 1: opens and he was like ten out of ten for
- 8:29Speaker 1: opening festiveness on his rating scale. Cute song, cute town,
- 8:33Speaker 1: tons of decorations. They were bringing the Christmas vibes, and
- 8:37Speaker 1: so if that's all you were looking for in this movie,
- 8:40Speaker 1: you're gonna get it. Yeah. I think it's one that
- 8:42Speaker 1: you can like throw on in the background and.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Kind of like a yule log burning on your TV.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yes, exactly if you want to, you know, wrap some
- 8:53Speaker 1: Christmas presents or make some cookies and you're not really
- 8:55Speaker 1: paying attention, but there's Christmas vibes happening there.
- 8:59Speaker 2: There you go, there you go.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Did your husband watch this movie with you?
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yes?
- 9:05Speaker 1: And his thoughts? Did he enjoy it? He thought it
- 9:08Speaker 1: was fine because this is kind of his Christmas genre. Yah, yeah, yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 1: yeah yeah, So he thought it was fine. He thought
- 9:15Speaker 1: the conflict was dumb. He had some complaints, as did I,
- 9:19Speaker 1: but he thought it was overall fine. Well, I will
- 9:22Speaker 1: tell you in terms of grace and Ryan, I agree,
- 9:26Speaker 1: not huge chemistry and I really hate a I'm gonna
- 9:32Speaker 1: reunite with my high school boyfriend because we have, like this,
- 9:35Speaker 1: such a great connection as high schoolers as seenagers. If
- 9:40Speaker 1: I could just sidetrack here for a second, when does
- 9:44Speaker 1: that ever work out? I know, I'm sure there's a
- 9:46Speaker 1: small population of people who are still with their high
- 9:49Speaker 1: school sweetheart. But like, when you meet as teenagers, you
- 9:52Speaker 1: are completely two different people right than you are when
- 9:55Speaker 1: you're adults, right because you've had time to mature and
- 9:58Speaker 1: like experience life, so and you've like created this image
- 10:01Speaker 1: of this person who's like can do no wrong because
- 10:04Speaker 1: it's easy to forget all of their irritating little habits
- 10:07Speaker 1: or the ways in which your life may not work,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and the fact that you're fully different people ten years later,
- 10:10Speaker 1: et cetera. Yeah, but back to Grayson Ryan, you know,
- 10:14Speaker 1: I did appreciate that they didn't spend the entire movie
- 10:18Speaker 1: like bickering minuch other, you know, so like they seem
- 10:22Speaker 1: to enjoy each other's like presence.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So that was nice because I just if this movie
- 10:27Speaker 1: would have also had the layer of these two one
- 10:31Speaker 1: stated and now they hate each other and then they're
- 10:33Speaker 1: going to be fall in love again, I would have
- 10:36Speaker 1: quit the podcast, I think, yeah, kidding, just kidding, But
- 10:39Speaker 1: so I was happy like their story wasn't fueled by
- 10:43Speaker 1: like some misunderstanding. Yeah, we get it at the end,
- 10:46Speaker 1: but it's the whole time. It wasn't that way. And
- 10:49Speaker 1: hear me when I say I am reaching for likes here. Yeah, well,
- 10:53Speaker 1: why don't we take a break and come back with
- 10:54Speaker 1: our wishes? Okay, all right, Wendy, we've kind of touched
- 11:06Speaker 1: on it, but let's dive into our wishes about this movie.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Well one you already talked about. I'm just going to
- 11:12Speaker 1: put the period on it. Jen Lily deserves a better movie.
- 11:16Speaker 1: We will already established that I do find her likable. Yes,
- 11:22Speaker 1: me too, And I have said this time and time again, y'all,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I need your emails. I need to know give me
- 11:29Speaker 1: the Jen Lily movie. I think that is incredible. But yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 1: please tell me it'sbou mingo all the way.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I want to root for her. I want to fall
- 11:43Speaker 1: in love with her as an actor and be like, yes,
- 11:45Speaker 1: I definitely want to tune into this Jen Lily movie.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I think you're right.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I think when you said so many people had weighed
- 11:53Speaker 1: in on their our first impressions post over the weekends
- 11:55Speaker 1: because people are so enamored by who Jin Lily is
- 11:58Speaker 1: and they don't even care that the movie is not
- 12:00Speaker 1: that great and hear me when I say this. I
- 12:02Speaker 1: saw Jen Lily was commented on our stuff, so I
- 12:07Speaker 1: feel conflicted. I'm sure she probably doesn't tune into the
- 12:10Speaker 1: podcast and listen to what we said, but that doesn't
- 12:12Speaker 1: mean I'm gonna like, you know, shit all over her.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I know there's like it's complicated in so many ways,
- 12:19Speaker 1: and I too, like Megan, am trying to separate actor
- 12:23Speaker 1: from the work. So yeah, well, like, do does she
- 12:26Speaker 1: have a bad picker or good question?
- 12:30Speaker 2: What is it?
- 12:30Speaker 1: Because I like you like her, but I don't always
- 12:35Speaker 1: love her movies. So we did get an email from
- 12:38Speaker 1: Mackie who says the highest that I've rated a movie
- 12:42Speaker 1: of Jen Lily's is three out of five stars, and
- 12:44Speaker 1: the two titles that I rated three stars are Winter
- 12:47Speaker 1: Love Story co starring Kevin McGarry and a Dash of
- 12:51Speaker 1: Love co starring Brendon Penny. Although they're both very traditional,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I find them enjoyable enough. Well, I might check out
- 12:58Speaker 1: the Brendan Penny one. I like Brendan Penny a lot,
- 13:02Speaker 1: so hm, but only a three star is kind of
- 13:07Speaker 1: mid So I trust Mackie's reviews too. I do too,
- 13:11Speaker 1: I do too, Even with Mistletoe in the title, they
- 13:14Speaker 1: don't get it right. And I was yelling, Now, on
- 13:19Speaker 1: the movie poster, there's mistletoe that he's holding above her head.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It has white berries. Throughout the movie there's often redberries. Y'all,
- 13:27Speaker 1: red berries are holly. And so I'm yelling at the TV.
- 13:30Speaker 1: That's not mistletoe, it's holly. It seems like people who
- 13:32Speaker 1: make Christmas movies should know this. And my husband was like,
- 13:36Speaker 1: it's just interchangeable, like it doesn't matter, Like people have
- 13:40Speaker 1: come to accept that, like those two things are interchangeable,
- 13:43Speaker 1: like if it's hanging up there. And I was like,
- 13:44Speaker 1: that is the worst excuse I have ever heard to me.
- 13:48Speaker 1: That is on par with changing the Dictionary definition of
- 13:51Speaker 1: the word literally to also mean figuratively. I know you
- 13:56Speaker 1: don't do this, like, oh, because people are too lazy,
- 14:00Speaker 1: know the difference between missletone and holly. We're just going
- 14:02Speaker 1: to accept that holly is mistletoe.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I don't accept that.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeah, can I make a note about the mistletoe please
- 14:10Speaker 1: attempt here. I hated Melanie's constant attempt to engineer these
- 14:15Speaker 1: missiletoe moments.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yes, I like when.
- 14:20Speaker 1: There is like a Christmas magic. I mean, look, I'm
- 14:23Speaker 1: still mad about that stupid Christmas train movie. Right when
- 14:26Speaker 1: you have like Melanie like thinking like she's so clever
- 14:30Speaker 1: by putting up these mistletoe everywhere because she's trying to
- 14:33Speaker 1: get these two back together. I just it made me
- 14:36Speaker 1: wanted to punch the TV screen. It just makes me mad.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Well, it's so contrived.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Having the toe above my head is not going to
- 14:43Speaker 1: make me fall in love with someone, forcing me to
- 14:45Speaker 1: kiss someone because there's mistletoe, which it's not a contract.
- 14:49Speaker 1: If I'm standing on her missletoe, I'm not required to
- 14:51Speaker 1: kiss this person. Like I get that she was trying
- 14:54Speaker 1: to be cute, but it was like so much work
- 14:57Speaker 1: carried through the whole two me her hanging all this
- 15:01Speaker 1: missiletoe like over a kitchen island, right over the porch.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I was like, come on, like.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, like here's my here's how they should have reworked it.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Set it up at the beginning like that, and then
- 15:13Speaker 1: have Grace and Ryan have natural moments like that unfold
- 15:19Speaker 1: like she was the catalyst of it, and then it's
- 15:23Speaker 1: not all manufactured throughout the entire movie. Oh they're going
- 15:26Speaker 1: to be here, So I got to get over there
- 15:27Speaker 1: and put mistletoe over their table, like they just happened
- 15:29Speaker 1: to find themselves in the place.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Hated that.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and then it lends itself to your idea, It
- 15:34Speaker 1: lends itself to more like this was meant to be
- 15:36Speaker 1: because she hung mistletoe in all of these places, and
- 15:38Speaker 1: then they look, they found themselves there, and so it
- 15:42Speaker 1: must be love or whatever. If you asked me what
- 15:47Speaker 1: this movie was about, probably couldn't tell you. And I
- 15:50Speaker 1: don't have had a fundraiser. I don't understand the fundraiser. Yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 1: how do they make money? They're just having a fundraiser
- 15:57Speaker 1: for all the nonprofits in town that you don't have
- 16:00Speaker 1: enough money and people are paying to come to this
- 16:03Speaker 1: Christmas party? Like, what is the fundraiser? Yeah, I'm not sure.
- 16:07Speaker 1: The bows and bobbles? Is that why that's called? They
- 16:09Speaker 1: had one of those like alliteration names that I can't stand. Yes,
- 16:12Speaker 1: but no, I know you're not asking for the name
- 16:13Speaker 1: of it, but no, I know for the understanding of it.
- 16:16Speaker 1: How do they make money? Oh, people are already outside donating,
- 16:19Speaker 1: are they? Are they the twelve people outside have now
- 16:22Speaker 1: saved all your town's charities?
- 16:25Speaker 2: Can I tell you my vagges wish?
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yes, Grace gets mad at Ryan that he is going
- 16:30Speaker 1: to sell this home because it's significant to the town,
- 16:34Speaker 1: it has meaning to her and to their past. Grace,
- 16:39Speaker 1: Ryan doesn't live here, nobody lives in this house. And
- 16:43Speaker 1: the idea is they're so pissed about it. Yeah you
- 16:46Speaker 1: have do you have no standing to be upset with
- 16:49Speaker 1: him for selling this home that doesn't belong to you
- 16:53Speaker 1: and that he doesn't actually have a use for. She
- 16:56Speaker 1: acted betrayed by the fact that he would try and
- 16:59Speaker 1: offload this asset.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It is an asset.
- 17:02Speaker 1: He's a businessman, jeez. Like things can have sentimental value
- 17:07Speaker 1: and also carry some sort of financial benefit in selling them. Okay,
- 17:13Speaker 1: but can we talk about that guy Quinn, the guy
- 17:16Speaker 1: that Yeah, when Quinn unloads on Grace, basically they're in
- 17:24Speaker 1: the kitchen and like this is when Grace finds out
- 17:27Speaker 1: that Ryan is potentially going to sell the house, and
- 17:29Speaker 1: then she's upset and he just like lets her have it.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like it is so mean, Like the things that he
- 17:36Speaker 1: says torn Like he's like, oh, you thought he was
- 17:40Speaker 1: saying for you, I don't know whatever. He's so mean
- 17:44Speaker 1: and it was so not necessary, I thought, except for
- 17:48Speaker 1: the fact that I thought, oh, he's just saying these
- 17:50Speaker 1: things because he's pissed that she kind of broke things
- 17:53Speaker 1: off with this dude. But anyway, I just he was
- 17:58Speaker 1: so out of line. Yeah. I got the vibe that
- 18:00Speaker 1: he was just like, you broke up with me for him,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and what a dummy you are.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was so hurtful. Yeah, for sure.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Eugh, she just took it too. I was like, no way,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I would have been like I don't know, I don't know.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I just wanted her to like scream in his face. Okay,
- 18:18Speaker 1: that's all any more wishes. No. My only other wish,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and we touched on it at the beginning, is Hallmark
- 18:25Speaker 1: needs to raise the bar for Christmas in July or
- 18:29Speaker 1: scrap it all together?
- 18:31Speaker 2: Co signed, let's talk. Did you see that?
- 18:34Speaker 1: It goes back to my first impression about Nick Bateman's
- 18:38Speaker 1: hair and somebody owes this man in apology. Look if
- 18:41Speaker 1: you look at his Instagram or is IMDb wow wowie zowie, Like,
- 18:46Speaker 1: oh he's a good looking dude. I don't know what
- 18:49Speaker 1: was happening with this hair, Like why is it all
- 18:51Speaker 1: brushed forward long and then like curled up on his
- 18:54Speaker 1: forehead like that? What is happening.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I gotta look up.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Nick Bateman's Instagram right now. Yeah, he's very wowey ZOWI. Oh,
- 19:03Speaker 1: his profile picture is.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Giving Davy.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Davy from I do see the baby Marcus Rossner accusations
- 19:12Speaker 1: in these photos.
- 19:12Speaker 2: He's very hot.
- 19:15Speaker 1: The funny part is I did go into IMDb because
- 19:18Speaker 1: I was very curious since this movie has two entries
- 19:22Speaker 1: on IMDb because it's been a different it has a
- 19:24Speaker 1: different name. Uh huh.
- 19:26Speaker 2: They were not nice.
- 19:28Speaker 1: You know, I'm not alone. Reviewer after reviewer wrought off
- 19:31Speaker 1: Ryan's hair.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah weird, right, so weird, so weird.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Well, I've talked a lot about my digity. That's her
- 19:38Speaker 1: giant headphones. Everyone in this movie wearing red and green.
- 19:42Speaker 1: But my biggest to see that is the tree decorating scene.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Do you know what I want to talk about? I don't.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So they decorate this outdoor tree and prior to decorating
- 19:53Speaker 1: the tree, Ryan and Grace are together and they say
- 19:56Speaker 1: something about going to dinner, and she's like, oh, I
- 19:57Speaker 1: have to go decorate this tree tonight, but you can
- 19:59Speaker 1: come with me. And when they arrive, it's clearly dusk,
- 20:02Speaker 1: like it's getting dark outside, and they're going to decorate
- 20:04Speaker 1: the tree. Cut to the tree is decorated, they're all
- 20:07Speaker 1: still wearing the same thing. So it's not the next
- 20:10Speaker 1: morning it is now light outside, and then they go
- 20:13Speaker 1: on to have like a lot of their day. It's
- 20:17Speaker 1: like somebody forgot like it's nighttime. It needs to be
- 20:20Speaker 1: the next day, or it's nighttime, it should be darker.
- 20:23Speaker 1: They I guess we're hoping that people wouldn't pay. Someone
- 20:25Speaker 1: actually DMed us about this.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I had noticed it.
- 20:28Speaker 1: It was in my notes because I even we were
- 20:31Speaker 1: watching it. I'm like, it was just dark. I rewound
- 20:33Speaker 1: to make sure they're all wearing the same stuff. Yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 1: continuity strikes again. Yes, well you know it's it's a
- 20:43Speaker 1: laughable joke now about the coffee cups, right, you know,
- 20:47Speaker 1: oh yeahing in the coffee cups and I this is
- 20:50Speaker 1: like one of those things like you can't unseee it
- 20:52Speaker 1: once you see it. But they're like they have paper
- 20:54Speaker 1: coffee cups and they're just like whipping them around. There's
- 20:58Speaker 1: clearly nothing in them, like, please you need a pa
- 21:01Speaker 1: to put something in them, Please have some rice or something.
- 21:05Speaker 1: But my actual digite that is they're talking about Grace
- 21:09Speaker 1: and Ryan are talking about their coffee orders, and she's like, oh,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I order a tall drip coffee. She's clearly holding and
- 21:15Speaker 1: medium sized coffee cup the same as his, like, but
- 21:19Speaker 1: she like shows it like she she tips it ford like,
- 21:24Speaker 1: oh a tall drip coffee like hers was different than
- 21:27Speaker 1: his anyway, whatever, it just irrationally pissed me off. I
- 21:31Speaker 1: have one more digit see that, and it's about the Mistletoe.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I watched this movie live and there was a Mistletoe
- 21:40Speaker 1: Murders commercial, oh, which I was very excited about. I'm
- 21:44Speaker 1: very much looking forward to that series coming back. They
- 21:48Speaker 1: show like the commercial and then they show like the
- 21:50Speaker 1: Mistletoe Murders overlay, and what's on it is holly h
- 21:57Speaker 1: I mean, this is your big show, Mistletoe.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Get it right, folks.
- 22:03Speaker 1: And so I had to laugh at your first impression
- 22:07Speaker 1: post that you created because you definitely chose missiletoe.
