- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop so Today, we are talking
- 0:32about habits of the successful and happy and I think that there
- 0:37is a distinction, sometimes people just like, you know,
- 0:40focus on success and sometimes they focus on happiness.
- 0:43But I like to really say well if you're successful and you're not
- 0:47happy then hmm what's a really in it for you and if you're
- 0:51happy and you don't care about being successful, that's okay
- 0:54but if you really do want to be successful and I when I say
- 0:57successful, I really do mean by your own standards whatever.
- 1:00That is for you and how you define it.
- 1:03You know, if you're not getting that, then there's something
- 1:07that has to be looked at. So often you know I know you've
- 1:11heard me say before success leaves Clues and I strongly
- 1:16strongly know that. That's the case and when you
- 1:18start to go and pull apart and analyze, what successful
- 1:22successful people do as well as happy people do and you look at
- 1:26a combination of both of them, you can start to see.
- 1:29There are three pillars of And principles involved in this, one
- 1:33of them is intentions. One of them is your body and
- 1:36your health and the other one is your brain.
- 1:38So, let's take a little bit of a deep dive into this as deep as
- 1:42we can get enough Morning podcast like this the way we're
- 1:45doing it, but I'm going to give you some thoughts on this.
- 1:49So first of all intentions, what do I mean?
- 1:51When I say that? Well, waking up with an
- 1:54intention to have a good day, seeing it, as if it is already.
- 1:58Done is critical. I cannot State this enough.
- 2:02I sound like a broken record when I talk about this to my
- 2:06clients and people who, when I go out and speak, this is such a
- 2:11big deal because if you are expecting a failure, you will
- 2:14get a failure. You get what you expect.
- 2:16And it's important to recognize. What are the intentions that I'm
- 2:19putting out there. Even before I go to bed at night
- 2:23for the next day, am I intending my day to be chaotic and my
- 2:26intending my day to be great. So, you know, I will tell you, I
- 2:30Work on that constantly for myself, looking and seeing it as
- 2:34if it's already done in a great way and having a positive
- 2:37version of it. Yeah, there there's options for
- 2:41all kinds of versions of things. But why would you choose to to
- 2:45stay in one? That is not optimistic and
- 2:49pushing you into a place of your greatness.
- 2:52You can look at all the different options.
- 2:53And I'm not saying you shouldn't, because part of my
- 2:56role in the world with with people that I work with is to
- 2:59help them. See all the different Asians
- 3:01positive and negative. So they know what to work with.
- 3:03But I'm talking about where your focus goes, where your pinpoint
- 3:07focus goes and if you're not intending on having a great day,
- 3:12before you even go to bed at night, you're going to wake up
- 3:16and you're going to find yourself pulled by an email that
- 3:18came in overnight and pissed. You off, you're going to find
- 3:21yourself being irritated by because your kids can't get up
- 3:24and get out of school. Ready for school on time, you're
- 3:26going to find the fact that the fact that you're aggravated by
- 3:29the fact that the Enter won't work.
- 3:31I mean, God knows we all go through that when we go to print
- 3:33something and we really need in that moment and then the printer
- 3:36says oh I'm not working right now and we all just want to put
- 3:39our fists through it and the frustration is there and you
- 3:43won't get past it quickly. I'm not saying those things
- 3:45won't happen. I'm saying they're going to
- 3:47happen, but your intention to have a good day if you're really
- 3:50on and you're paying attention to it.
- 3:52And that moment, you're just gonna be like, hey, you know
- 3:53what? I don't even care that that just
- 3:55happened. You know what?
- 3:56I'm letting it go. I'm moving on because that's
- 3:57what you need to do. So intentions for Or what you
- 4:01want to make happen, and see it as how you want it to be big
- 4:05deal. Okay.
- 4:06Body and health boy. Oh, boy, this is such a big, big
- 4:11thing, especially when you know, you're not where you want to be.
- 4:15So, you know, you need to lose weight, you know, you want to be
- 4:18healthier, you know, you want to drink less alcohol, you know,
- 4:20you want to get out there and get more steps and whatever it
- 4:23might be, but you let it slide, let it, slide.
- 4:25Let it, slide. Let it slide well.
- 4:26You're a body will constantly take you down.
- 4:30That's why you Afternoon, slump. That's why you have fog.
- 4:33You can't think clearly it's all because of the health reasons.
- 4:36If you're not hydrated, if you're not taking care of
- 4:39yourself, if you're living on sugar, if you're living on
- 4:43things that are not good for you and you're just riding by and
- 4:48pick it up fast food and your salt intake is high and you're
- 4:52not taking in enough freshwater. I'm telling you right now.
- 4:56There is no question in my mind that that has a absolute I found
- 5:01impact on performance across the board, whether it be physical
- 5:05performance or mental performance, so clean up your
- 5:09act because without that piece, you will go everywhere.
- 5:14Slowly promise you, you want to get where you want to be in less
- 5:18time and have more fun doing it. Get yourself healthy, suck it
- 5:23up, do the work that's necessary in order to do it.
- 5:26And this is one of those things. All these pillars that I'm
- 5:29talking about, Can't have somebody else.
- 5:31Think for you you can't have somebody else.
- 5:34Do the physical work. You're the only one, but when
- 5:37you set a boundary and you say I'm going to do this physical
- 5:39work and I'm setting myself up for Success.
- 5:42There's no stopping you at that point because you're fighting
- 5:45for yourself right there and then everybody around you can
- 5:48see what you're doing and they rise to the occasion.
- 5:50So make sure that that's on your list third brain.
- 5:58Okay. Brain piece of this is Is
- 6:00monitoring. What are your habitual thoughts?
- 6:03What habitual emotions are you using?
- 6:06And who's driving that bus? Because if you're a habitual
- 6:09emotions that are driving are just absolutely, you know,
- 6:14irritation frustration, aggravation, you know, sadness,
- 6:20whatever the the Dark Side of those emotions might be again.
- 6:24No emotions are bad. They're here to give us
- 6:26information, but if you stay in it and you don't do, Thing about
- 6:31it and it becomes your one of your primary drivers.
- 6:34You can't help but have problems with what you're trying to do.
- 6:38So you've got to fix it. You've got to pay attention to
- 6:41what's going on in your head. And you've got to pay attention
- 6:44to how you speak to yourself in that process.
- 6:47I cannot stress this enough, I have to catch myself, everybody
- 6:51has to catch themselves, and nobody can do it, but you, you
- 6:56have to be the one that goes in there.
- 6:58I can tell you how to do it. I can tell You what to look for.
- 7:01I can tell you how to shift it but you know what?
- 7:03In the final analysis, if you don't love yourself enough to do
- 7:07the work, nobody else is going to do it for you.
- 7:09You will sit there and you will, I love to use this metaphor
- 7:13because it makes one of my clients laugh.
- 7:14Really hard every time I say it, but I'm like, it's like having a
- 7:17dirty diaper. You have crapped your diaper and
- 7:20you sit in it and you just get a diaper rash and you stink and
- 7:24you do nothing about it. So you have got to get up, clean
- 7:28yourself up, change your diaper and say, Listen, I'm just not
- 7:31going to do that to myself anymore, because when I do that,
- 7:34it doesn't work and long-term. It's detrimental to your
- 7:38progress to your well-being, to your to your overall happiness.
- 7:45You can't get there if you don't monitor these things.
- 7:48So you guys have a really interesting assignment.
- 7:53Today to start looking at, am I paying attention to those?
- 7:56Three pillars, intentions, my health and my body and my brain.
- 8:00Why am I doing? What I need to do and every day,
- 8:04this is everyday. Work everyday work everyday
- 8:06work. So get out there and kick some
- 8:08ass and do the work because I promised you life gets
- 8:11exponentially better when you do.
- 8:13I hope you guys have a blessed day my friends and I will see
- 8:15you tomorrow.
