- 0:00I'm telling you because when I got past the closet, there was a shadow person attacking
- 0:08my wife.
- 0:09No, get out.
- 0:10You're not invited.
- 0:13This is extra creepy and everyone will see why later.
- 0:18I had no idea.
- 0:20I've never read this.
- 0:21I had no idea this was in here.
- 0:23Client!
- 0:24Um, I lost my spot.
- 0:26Oh my god.
- 0:27My brain hurts.
- 0:28I can't help but you really know.
- 0:29I'm so sorry.
- 0:30I can't.
- 0:31Hi, Caitlyn.
- 0:36Hi, Cassie.
- 0:40Hi, creepy people.
- 0:42Hello.
- 0:43This is... my brain broke.
- 0:46Do we say hello?
- 0:47Hello.
- 0:48Did we do that?
- 0:49Did we say hi, creepy people?
- 0:51Hello.
- 0:52This is my brain broke.
- 0:53Do we say hello?
- 0:54Hello.
- 0:55Do we say hello?
- 0:56Hello.
- 0:57Did we do that?
- 0:58Did we say hi, creepy people?
- 0:59Yeah, we did.
- 1:00My brain literally just broke.
- 1:01Yeah, it just broke.
- 1:02It, for sure, broke.
- 1:03I fixed it.
- 1:04She's sober.
- 1:05It's fine.
- 1:06I'm back.
- 1:07And if you're here and you're new to our creepy corner of the world, this is PNW Haunts and Homicides,
- 1:11where we chat about true crime, the paranormal, and all things spooky
- 1:19and the Pacific Northwest and sometimes other places.
- 1:23Also there.
- 1:24Yeah.
- 1:25And there and then sometimes there.
- 1:29You get the idea.
- 1:30Anyways, we also do a tarot reading at the end of every episode because we like it.
- 1:39We like it.
- 1:40And we feel like it gives us insight into our topic and we're going to keep doing it.
- 1:45Yeah, it really does.
- 1:46And also, Caitlyn has a sign behind her that says tarot and like we don't want to be liars.
- 1:51Yeah.
- 1:52Kind of hacked you.
- 1:53You have a sign behind you that says spooky.
- 1:56Yeah.
- 1:57I don't want to be a liar about that.
- 1:59So it's always spooky.
- 2:00It's very spooky.
- 2:02Well, we actually have a Patreon if you didn't know.
- 2:07And we have people that join and there's different tiers and there's free trials.
- 2:14Oh, the free trials.
- 2:16And sometimes people join the free trial and then they actually sign up.
- 2:20And they're like, I don't want to cancel this.
- 2:24And they actually want to like give us, you know, a little change, a little money to help
- 2:29us along in our little passion project business.
- 2:32Yeah.
- 2:33I kind of say passion project actually.
- 2:35It's a business.
- 2:36I mean, two things can be true.
- 2:39I feel like I said that 1800 times today.
- 2:43You know, I feel like me and the rest of the world were all just learning this.
- 2:47You know, we're getting used to this fact.
- 2:49Yeah, I feel like it takes a minute to wrap your head around it.
- 2:54Well, you know what else is true?
- 2:55What?
- 2:56We have a new Patreon at the $10 tier.
- 3:00That is the Never Bundy tier.
- 3:03It is.
- 3:04Thankfully people agree with us.
- 3:06Never Bundy.
- 3:08Chris, not Caitlyn's Chris.
- 3:11We have multiple Chris's.
- 3:13We do have multiple Chris's in the creepy world.
- 3:17Yeah.
- 3:18It's not.
- 3:20It's almost like it's like a really good name.
- 3:22Yeah, like almost I would say one of the best names.
- 3:26It's up there.
- 3:28It starts with a C. His voice.
- 3:31That's right.
- 3:32I do feel like there's that.
- 3:33That's right.
- 3:34If your name starts with a C, you got, you got good things going for you.
- 3:38You're probably pretty cool.
- 3:41Pretty confident.
- 3:43Pretty courteous.
- 3:45Courteous.
- 3:46Courageous.
- 3:47Courageous.
- 3:48Classy.
- 3:49Christmas-y?.
- 3:50Like that literally has Chris in it.
- 3:59So there you go.
- 4:00There you go.
- 4:01Christmas-y Chris.
- 4:02Christmas-y Chris.
- 4:03Sorry if you don't celebrate Christmas.
- 4:07I apologize from the bottom of my heart.
- 4:10Like the depth is so shallow.
- 4:13All of a sudden it's like someone has canceled their Patreon membership.
- 4:16It's in their live streaming.
- 4:22He just felt it.
- 4:23He's like, oh, you made a Christmas joke.
- 4:29It's the war on Christmas.
- 4:30You know, that's the number one threat to this country. (Southern accent)
- 4:38Hilarious.
- 4:39You made that accent hilarious.
- 4:40It fits more than you ever know into this episode.
- 4:45Oh.
- 4:46I don't know how to feel about that.
- 4:51Because this is a creepy people Chronicles episode.
- 4:55So we read stories from our listeners and occasionally listen to stories from our listeners.
- 5:05And yeah, we'll get there.
- 5:07Okay.
- 5:08Well, that's enough of that.
- 5:09Let's start.
- 5:10All right.
- 5:11Um, I actually want to start with a little story.
- 5:15It was something cute that happened at my great grandma Ruby's memorial service.
- 5:20Her name was Ruby.
- 5:22Yes, her name was Ruby.
- 5:23Cassie, I don't think you told me that.
- 5:25And isn't it the sweetest?
- 5:27What?
- 5:28Are you gonna cry?
- 5:29I mean, you cry already.
- 5:30I'm so sorry.
- 5:31That was, that was the name of my first pet.
- 5:35Oh, Ruby.
- 5:37And I cried.
- 5:38I cried.
- 5:39I cried.
- 5:40I cried when my goldfish.
- 5:43She was goldfish!
- 5:46I'm so sorry.
- 5:47But you know, I had a very emotional connection with the bulls-well.
- 5:51Maybe this is her coming back to say "blub, blub."
- 5:55"blub, blub."
- 5:56I know where she's buried.
- 5:59No.
- 6:00I can go find her.
- 6:01Oh, she's fine.
- 6:02There anymore.
- 6:03Uh, sorry.
- 6:04Sorry, child, Caitlyn.
- 6:06Well, I mean, I don't expect like the entire goldfish to be the big fish.
- 6:13You know what we're getting?
- 6:14Just the teeny tiny bulls.
- 6:18So yes, my great grandma's name was Ruby.
- 6:21And that's my birthstone too.
- 6:23So like I always felt like, oh, we're cool.
- 6:25Because we have this little Ruby connection.
- 6:27Yeah.
- 6:28So anyway, she did pass recently and she was 96 or 97, I think.
- 6:36She'll look at that.
- 6:37Fuck, I thought I wrote it down.
- 6:38Just say in our 90s.
- 6:39I mean, if you're in your 90s, you don't care about how old you are in the same way that
- 6:44like a six year old is like, I'm six and a quarter.
- 6:48It's actually kind of funny because like on one of her birthdays, she swore to everyone
- 6:53that she was like a year older.
- 6:55Oh, really?
- 6:56They were like, but you were born this year and it's this year in the math.
- 6:58And she's like, I don't know how it works out, but this is how old I am.
- 7:01She was so stubborn and spicy.
- 7:04Okay.
- 7:05So she was born in 27.
- 7:07So she was 97.
- 7:08Okay.
- 7:09After make a correction, I was using the year 2024 and not the year 2023 when I did my math.
- 7:18She was 96 because she had passed in 2023.
- 7:22But funny because I did say that she was arguing that she was a year older than she actually
- 7:28was.
- 7:29So you know what?
- 7:30I just, I got you, great grandma Ruby.
- 7:32I'm on your side.
- 7:34I know how old you are.
- 7:37And I did forget to mention that she was born on St. Patrick's Day and at her memorial service,
- 7:43we got little Shamrock pins in honor of her because she just, she loved like St. Patrick's
- 7:50Day, everything Irish because she was born on that day.
- 7:54And so I did put the little pin on her alter today.
- 7:57So if you see the little little Shamrock pin that is in honor of my great grandma Ruby.
- 8:03So yes.
- 8:04It's crazy.
- 8:05So yes, it's crazy that I had like a great grandma my whole life.
- 8:09I always thought it.
- 8:10Everyone was like great grandma.
- 8:11Yeah.
- 8:12So it's pretty cool.
- 8:13It's cool.
- 8:14She had a lot of stories.
- 8:18Oh my gosh.
- 8:19I can imagine.
- 8:20I can imagine.
- 8:21She was very spicy.
- 8:24She was very well known in her nursing home.
- 8:26I'll just put it that way.
- 8:30So at her memorial, they were up there talking and we were at a very beautiful summer.
- 8:37I can't remember the name off the top of my head.
- 8:39So the service was in like a brick enclosure, but we were like outside and then behind the
- 8:45speaker, there was a window like didn't help me get out of glass.
- 8:52No, I had to.
- 8:53I think I had glass.
- 8:54There was like a window.
- 8:55So you could see trees and nature and shit behind.
- 8:58Oh, that's cool.
- 8:59So I was staring out at the trees and then I saw this giant ass fucking bird.
- 9:04Like, whoo, whoo, like land on a branch and it like did this like all dramatic thing.
- 9:10And I'm like, look, does it?
- 9:12I don't know if anyone else saw it.
- 9:16But I kind of a bird.
- 9:18First I was like, is that an owl?
- 9:20Because it was kind of far away.
- 9:22Yeah.
- 9:23I wasn't really sure.
- 9:24I was like, is that a hole?
- 9:26And then it like took off again.
- 9:27So it's giant wings and underneath have like white underneath.
- 9:31So it's like, I don't know if it was a hawk.
- 9:34It could have been a hawk.
- 9:35Those are super common.
- 9:37Yeah.
- 9:38Around.
- 9:39I didn't like get a good look at the shape of it.
- 9:41The way it had landed was like backwards.
- 9:44So I don't really get the get a good look at the shape.
- 9:47Yeah, like a look at it from like, kind of back.
- 9:49I think it was a hawk just from seeing so many.
- 9:52And I know I think they have like white under their wings.
- 9:55I think I went and looked it up.
- 9:57Yeah.
- 9:58Big ass bird either way.
- 10:00I don't think it was an eagle.
- 10:05No, I would have known by the head if it was a eagle.
- 10:07There are two.
- 10:08Yeah.
- 10:09And they're really big.
- 10:10Those are also.
- 10:11It was a really big bird.
- 10:12Yeah.
- 10:13No hawks are.
- 10:14I was going to say, I didn't disagree with you.
- 10:17I'm not super familiar with a ton of different birds.
- 10:21But yeah, the way you're describing it, that sounds like a hawk to me and to look at
- 10:26like different images of different breeds, I guess, of hawks.
- 10:34Like I would say, yeah, that's a fair guess.
- 10:37They're more common to see than an owl too.
- 10:40And it would be probably weird for an owl to be flying around it like noon.
- 10:44Yeah.
- 10:45I agree.
- 10:46Yeah.
- 10:47But it was really cool.
- 10:49And so I was just kept looking out there like, did I really see that?
- 10:52Like it's in the middle of this memorial.
- 10:57It was like this giant-ass bird like doing shenanigans in the tree.
- 11:00And I don't know, it was interesting.
- 11:01And then I remembered I had just heard on a podcast earlier that week that it was like
- 11:09a psychic podcast.
- 11:10Yeah.
- 11:11And she was saying how she'd always thought that like hawks were messages from the other
- 11:15side.
- 11:16Interesting.
- 11:17Yeah.
- 11:18So I thought that thought it was pretty cool.
- 11:19And I think I wanted my great grandma send a little hawk down to say hi to everyone.
- 11:28That's interesting because, okay, I'm checking something really quick.
- 11:34Okay.
- 11:35So it's not just hawks.
- 11:36Oh, there's, I mean like every animal is like-
- 11:40No.
- 11:41Specifically, it said that birds are messengers from the spirit world.
- 11:47Yeah.
- 11:48And may even be the physical manifestation of angels.
- 11:51I don't know if you look that up at all, but-
- 11:54I didn't really look into it.
- 11:55I just know that like so many things are like messages from the other side.
- 12:00This really makes me want to look up our- our bird.
- 12:06Oh.
- 12:07Yeah.
- 12:08So I'll have to look at that later.
- 12:11But it says specifically, this is interesting hawk.
- 12:19So they have like different meanings.
- 12:22Hawks, their supposed meaning is for- it says for vision and acuity.
- 12:27Mm.
- 12:28Which makes me think that like that is a really good way.
- 12:32Sending a hawk is like a really good way of someone who has passed on.
- 12:38For them to say, I've got my eye on you.
- 12:41I'm still watching over you.
- 12:43Well, I mean, obviously that was my next sentence.
- 12:46Shut up.
- 12:47Well, of course.
- 12:48No way.
- 12:49But yeah.
- 12:50Oh, it was like well hawks are like, you know, known for like being able to like see from above
- 12:54and like, maybe it's just that they're watching out from above, you know?
- 13:00And I was like, let me Google something and just like completely separate from this situation.
- 13:06Let me just find this like sort of metaphysical meaning and like let me be the one to say it.
- 13:13Because it's all about me.
- 13:14No, it's perfect.
- 13:15It's like, I just like, I don't know why I didn't look it up probably because I-
- 13:20That's so crazy though.
- 13:21I just like had my own meaning and so I didn't really look it up.
- 13:24But if it means that for you sort of intuitively.
- 13:27Yeah, it's affirming.
- 13:29Yeah.
- 13:30Anyway, I thought it was really cute.
- 13:34We were like, we went to see her pretty much every summer growing up.
- 13:38But then like obviously once I got into adult, we didn't visit very often until recently,
- 13:43like right before she passed.
- 13:44I think I talked about my visit.
- 13:46We did have like a weird spooky thing happen while we were there.
- 13:50And Grace had like such a great trip.
- 13:52Yeah.
- 13:53What I remember.
- 13:54It was really good.
- 13:55It was fun having like girl time with all with the fam.
- 13:58Yeah.
- 13:59Yeah.
- 14:00But we weren't like super close growing up.
- 14:02So it was just nice to know like maybe, you know, she, and by the time I had visited her,
- 14:06she wasn't really talking much.
- 14:09We weren't sure if she actually knew who we were.
- 14:12Yeah.
- 14:13So it's nice.
- 14:19And then we have a story in our email from Clint.
- 14:25You remember Clint?
- 14:26I forgot.
- 14:28Clint sent us another story to read.
- 14:32Get out of here.
- 14:34Naturally I haven't ready yet.
- 14:36So I don't know what it says.
- 14:37Oh boy.
- 14:40Are you ready?
- 14:41I'm as ready as I'm going to be.
- 14:43All the way from Canadian.
- 14:45Yes.
- 14:46Hi Caitlin and Cassie.
- 14:50Hi.
- 14:51Hi Clint.
- 14:52Another C.
- 14:53That's right.
- 14:54All the C's.
- 14:55I'm just saying.
- 14:56We're just collecting creepy C people.
- 14:58It's fine.
- 14:59Yeah.
- 15:00Everyone who's listening who isn't a C name just change your names like not that hard.
- 15:07Or how about also we love you equally.
- 15:11Yeah, we love you whatever, whatever, whatever, however.
- 15:16I like how I'm the one giving off the mom energy in this.
- 15:21Like the least mom of all the mom being capable people.
- 15:26This is your circus and we are your monkeys.
- 15:31I guess.
- 15:34Double tie a new or alter later.
- 15:36Oh boy.
- 15:38Clint says since my last email you're still one of my three favorite podcasts and I have
- 15:44taken up tarot cards.
- 15:46That's awesome.
- 15:47Clint, I love that.
- 15:50That's one of the three.
- 15:51Who are the other two?
- 15:52I know.
- 15:53Well, they're really like really fucking awesome.
- 15:56Yeah.
- 15:57No.
- 15:58No competition.
- 15:59No.
- 16:00But we're like top from the three, right?
- 16:03But like if we sent you a deck of tarot cards, can we buy you?
- 16:11Tarot has really changed my life because of you.
- 16:13So thank you.
- 16:15I've been telling everyone about your podcast.
- 16:19And I saw more of my vision.
- 16:22Sorry I can't tell you about that.
- 16:23Oh, that's okay.
- 16:25Oh, I'm just like rereading.
- 16:29She's pre-reading.
- 16:30No, I'm rereading where it said tarot really changed my life because of you and I'm just
- 16:36really like holding onto that.
- 16:39I really want everyone in the world to do tarot.
- 16:42I really feel like that's our goal.
- 16:44Yeah.
- 16:45And also listen to True Crime.
- 16:49And unless you're a True Crime-er, unless you are the one doing the True Crime, don't listen
- 16:56to it because we don't have any tips.
- 16:58Unless it's going to make you not want to do it because you don't want to end up on a
- 17:03show.
- 17:04Oh, maybe that.
- 17:05Yeah.
- 17:06It's like two totally like sort of a dexter situation, right?
- 17:09Like something sets you on a path where you don't want to.
- 17:12Right.
- 17:13I hope so.
- 17:14But we can offer the world.
- 17:16I like that.
- 17:17Tarot and turning killers off because we're annoying.
- 17:20But I can tell you about another dream I had.
- 17:25This one won't make you cry.
- 17:27Okay.
- 17:28Okay.
- 17:29We'll challenge accepted.
- 17:30Maybe laugh a little bit like I did.
- 17:33What if we laugh until we cry?
- 17:37That would be on brand.
- 17:39Oh, okay.
- 17:40Well, this gets intense real quick, so let me like, but you said it was funny but okay.
- 17:44And why would you lie to us?
- 17:46Clint, you're messing with my emotions.
- 17:48Seriously.
- 17:50It started with me watching my own funeral.
- 17:55That's like yikes.
- 17:58The thought of Clint watching his own funeral.
- 18:01It like hurts my heart a little bit.
- 18:03Yeah.
- 18:04Yeah.
- 18:05And I'm physically unable to go to the place where I envision me envisioning my own
- 18:13funeral.
- 18:14No, we're just going to focus on Clint right now.
- 18:17Clint, no.
- 18:18Clint.
- 18:19Okay.
- 18:20Do you want, I had a vision of your funeral.
- 18:21I have no idea what it was like, but in my vision just now snap vision.
- 18:26It was like Doby's funeral from Harry Potter.
- 18:31And that's the saddest thing I've ever seen of my time.
- 18:35Oh.
- 18:36Friend...
- 18:37Friend...
- 18:38Okay.
- 18:39Okay.
- 18:40Oh, my God.
- 18:41Okay.
- 18:42Oh, my God.
- 18:43You said we weren't going to cry.
- 18:45Why would you lie to us?
- 18:47We literally did it to ourselves.
- 18:50Yeah.
- 18:51Okay.
- 18:52So it started with me watching my own funeral.
- 18:56Then I'm walking around my house, checking on my family.
- 19:00When I go, you said we were going to cry.
- 19:04When I go into see my wife, I see her sleeping.
- 19:09Well description of my room, you enter through the door.
- 19:13There's a wall on the right and a short wall on the left.
- 19:17That's closest.
- 19:19Then you see my bed.
- 19:21And telling you, because when I got past the closet, there was a shadow person attacking
- 19:27my wife.
- 19:28No, get out.
- 19:30You're not invited.
- 19:35This is extra creepy and everyone will see why later.
- 19:41I had no idea.
- 19:42I've never read this.
- 19:43I had no idea this was in here.
- 19:45Clint.
- 19:46I lost my spot.
- 19:50Oh, my God.
- 19:51My brain hurts.
- 19:52This is so creepy.
- 19:53I'm so sorry.
- 19:54I can't.
- 19:55I can't.
- 19:56Okay.
- 19:57I grabbed him.
- 20:00We start wrestling.
- 20:01He bounced off the dresser and then fell through the bedside table as I'm punching the shadow
- 20:07person.
- 20:08I noticed Heather.
- 20:10I guess that's his wife.
- 20:12Heather woke up and was watching us.
- 20:15Then I saw my daughter watching us.
- 20:18That's when a portal opened a couple more shadow people grabbed me.
- 20:25This is crazy.
- 20:27They were dragging me towards the portal.
- 20:30I looked at my daughter, blue her a kiss.
- 20:38Clint, God damn it.
- 20:41You lied.
- 20:42Clint, we're mad at you now.
- 20:44I think you underestimated her.
- 20:45My all emotional.
- 20:46She's reading ahead and I can tell her already based on her.
- 20:51We're emotionally fragile.
- 20:53I can't face.
- 20:54Clint.
- 20:55Clint.
- 20:56Okay.
- 20:57I looked at my daughter, blue her a kiss.
- 20:59I looked at my left arm across my chest and over my right arm and that's how I would give
- 21:05her kisses.
- 21:07I would give her kisses and hugs.
- 21:10Oh my God.
- 21:11Seriously.
- 21:12I literally can't fucking read this.
- 21:14This is how I would give her kisses and hugs when she went on the school bus when she was
- 21:19younger.
- 21:20I literally thought like you were going to be dragged away and you're like saying you're
- 21:25going to be dragged away and you're going to be dragged away and you're going to be dragged.
- 21:32I think I just hit a new lock.
- 21:35I'm like waiting for the slapping part, Clint.
- 21:39Where does it get funny Clint?
- 21:43Okay.
- 21:44Then I said play time.
- 21:46Oh, wait, what?
- 21:48Then I said play time is open.
- 21:50I said play time is open.
- 21:57That's what I thought.
- 21:58Then I said play time as I was laughing.
- 22:02I let the shadow people take me through the portal and that's when I woke up and laughed
- 22:07again.
- 22:09Question.
- 22:10Do you think it's possible that the shadow people only exist in our minds or do I get
- 22:19play time after?
- 22:22Or do I get play time after I'm dead?
- 22:25Please feel free to share with your listeners.
- 22:30Take care of me.
- 22:31Safe.
- 22:32A fan of yours, Clint.
- 22:34Okay.
- 22:35So I have to say immediately my impression is like the fact that he says play time and he's
- 22:43like kind of laughing, right?
- 22:48As he is sort of, I don't know, collapsing into this portal, that makes me think in a way
- 22:58he's like, this is like, I don't know how else to put it other than play time.
- 23:06This is play time.
- 23:08I just distracted you from my family who are amongst the living and I saved them and
- 23:15it's like the biggest.
- 23:16It's almost like I'm jumping in this portal with a bomb.
- 23:22Like, "Haha, motherfuckers, you're going to take me out.
- 23:25I'm going to take you with me."
- 23:26Right.
- 23:28That's how like just this overwhelming sense of like you won and they lost.
- 23:35I don't know.
- 23:36How else to describe that?
- 23:39That's just the, I don't know.
- 23:41I can't interpret it any other way in my mind.
- 23:44I've been racking my brain in the last like a couple of minutes trying to think of this in
- 23:51another lens or in another way and it's the only way I can like, you like it makes sense
- 23:57to me.
- 23:58That was kind of like what I was thinking at first but then until he said I woke up and
- 24:03laughed again and then I was thinking like what if the portal was like his mind waking up
- 24:12and the things were like trying to get to him like before he woke up and then he like
- 24:17noticed he was waking up and he's like, "Haha motherfuckers, let's go and I'm bringing you
- 24:22into my waking world and I'm going to beat you because it's daylight bitches, ain't no shadows
- 24:28here."
- 24:30That's an interesting like kind of still has the same impact though, right?
- 24:38Because it's like, "Listen, you won.
- 24:41They lost by it."
- 24:43It is crazy though because it's like such a layered dream like going back to the beginning.
- 24:47He is dead.
- 24:49He's at his own funeral and then he's going around to try to like check on his family and
- 24:55that's when he sees the shadow people but then it's like then his daughter can see him.
- 25:02Yeah, I feel like it's really interesting because it seems like at a certain point once he's
- 25:08battling with the shadow people, both his wife and his daughter seem to like even in a nonverbal
- 25:17way, he communicates that like it seems as though they can see him.
- 25:23Yeah.
- 25:24And I don't know, that's really odd to me as well but I just feel like this is like inception
- 25:30level.
- 25:31Yeah, it is.
- 25:32You know?
- 25:33Gosh, and then awake of laughing.
- 25:36I know, I'm not even imagining.
- 25:38I have woken up.
- 25:41I don't know.
- 25:42Maybe laughing like maybe once or twice.
- 25:45Crying, I'm probably a few times.
- 25:47Yeah.
- 25:49I feel like I've jolted away.
- 25:51Yeah.
- 25:52And even, yeah, just not even in an audible way.
- 25:58Yeah.
- 25:59I feel like more often than not because you know me, I'm just like this very like you emotions
- 26:06and just feeling anything is so in a way like foreign to me.
- 26:14Yeah.
- 26:15It makes me sound like a robot but like if the shoe fits.
- 26:21I don't know.
- 26:22I feel like more than anything, I just wake up feeling like I'm jolted but it's inaudible
- 26:29because I have this innate sense of like wanting to sort of like let up, quiet it down.
- 26:38You know what I mean?
- 26:39Like use your inside voice.
- 26:40Yeah.
- 26:41Like I've just woken up from a nightmare potentially and I'm like even in your sleep,
- 26:49your sleeping sleepy state.
- 26:50Listen, you don't stop being somebody who was raised by depression, Arab Midwesterners
- 26:57just because you're sleeping because that's foolish.
- 27:01Yeah.
- 27:02Sleepiness for the day head.
- 27:03You got to sleep with.
- 27:04Which was southern and you know we go back and forth.
- 27:10Sleep with one eye open.
- 27:12Or like both your eyes open but like only a little bit like a weirdo.
- 27:18So I know I've told you and I think I've said this on a show but I don't breathe right.
- 27:24Right.
- 27:25Yeah.
- 27:26Okay.
- 27:27And no one seemed that surprised and I was like well thanks the fucking lot you guys.
- 27:32Apparently I can't do anything right but literally apparently I can't because I also don't
- 27:39link right.
- 27:40Yeah.
- 27:41I don't like that.
- 27:42I think I've told you that.
- 27:44Yeah.
- 27:45But I don't know that we've ever talked about it on the show.
- 27:46I don't know.
- 27:47So I literally sleep kind of with both of my eyes a little bit open.
- 27:52I don't even during daylight I don't even blink correctly.
- 27:57No, God.
- 27:58My eye doctor has watched this.
- 28:00He has observed me blinking incorrectly.
- 28:04It's like why you should take some fish while but also you don't blink right so that's
- 28:12why your eyes will dry.
- 28:13You should take some fish oil.
- 28:15Yeah.
- 28:16Okay, that'd be so great if I could just not have everything all of the bodily functions
- 28:24that just I don't do them right.
- 28:28You're just you're not not doing them wrong.
- 28:31You're just dancing to the beat of your own drum.
- 28:34You know, you're just doing a little different.
- 28:36Yeah.
- 28:37Doesn't meet it's wrong.
- 28:38Anxiety is how I identify.
- 28:42I'm just people don't blink completely anxious people don't breathe deeply.
- 28:47This is where we are.
- 28:48Yeah.
- 28:49They also don't poop.
- 28:52They also don't poop.
- 28:53That's correct.
- 28:54Thank you for reminding me.
- 28:55You're welcome.
- 28:57Speaking of a Southern accent.
- 29:02We had a I do too and I always call it a country accent for some stupid reason because I'm
- 29:10not that smart.
- 29:12And we have this like she's the dumbest person she or anyone else has ever known and that's
- 29:20far from the truth.
- 29:21The dumbest memory.
- 29:24You guys we have something really exciting to share with you.
- 29:28Let's hear a few words from our new pod besties.
- 29:32Do you want to know the full story behind the Menendez brothers?
- 29:35How about the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer or Candy Montgomery?
- 29:39In our Killer Destinations podcast we immediately jump right to the story.
- 29:43I'm Kathy.
- 29:44And I'm Kathy and just like you we are obsessed with all things true crime.
- 29:49We're also lifelong friends and on our Killer Destinations podcast we tell the best stories
- 29:54and dive deep for all the interesting details.
- 29:57We also interspersicational humor and have a little fun along the way but we never forget
- 30:02that we're talking about real people and real families.
- 30:05And to Killer Destinations every Tuesday for your true crime fix.
- 30:13Check them out creepy people you can find their info in our show notes.
- 30:19Well we got a story in the form of audio messages from a listener named Nick and you know
- 30:29he just like slipped us a couple little spooky story.
- 30:33He slipped us a spooky if you will.
- 30:35Stop it.
- 30:36Stop it.
- 30:37So I have some audios to play for you of a spooky story and then if we we can play some
- 30:46and then pause and discuss as necessary.
- 30:51And you'll quickly see why I deeply apologize to this listener for all of the terrible
- 30:59Southern accents I have ever done.
- 31:01Oh my god.
- 31:03This is why I don't breathe right.
- 31:07Okay.
- 31:08Apparently they don't mind because they sent us a story.
- 31:12Okay so the story goes as an early child I always had a very uneasy feeling, living in
- 31:21the woods in Tennessee, miles away from any neighbors or anyone just nothing but wildlife.
- 31:30There were a lot of very dark and ominous feelings just that kind of overwhelming sense of
- 31:37something is not right here.
- 31:39And while you know doing simple stuff like riding three-wheelers through the woods or getting
- 31:49up and just getting something to drink in the mouth of the night you would always feel like
- 31:54someone was watching.
- 31:56And then it got to the point where I was able to see them.
- 32:00It was like at first it was just kind of like distortions and I wouldn't really pay no
- 32:08attention to it.
- 32:09Look away real quick do something else.
- 32:10Whatever I was finished what I was doing.
- 32:12And then I would pay more attention eventually when the feeling came too creepy and started
- 32:19seeing the shadows of people or two people in particular.
- 32:25Okay so shadowy people interesting.
- 32:35Shadowy people.
- 32:37And then we just talked about this in the last story.
- 32:41I know Clio.
- 32:43I don't.
- 32:45Also Tennessee sounds creepy.
- 32:50You know wow I just don't know I don't know about that.
- 32:58It's got to be pretty humid right?
- 33:02Should have tied it off.
- 33:04Real humid tons of bugs.
- 33:06Yeah bugs I was thinking bugs severely haunted place.
- 33:10Also you can hear in the audio you can hear like birds and stuff.
- 33:15Oh God.
- 33:16I was wondering if that's what I was hearing.
- 33:18Yeah you can hear birds in the audio.
- 33:20So cute hopefully it transfers into that final.
- 33:23Okay let's replay or play more.
- 33:25Play on.
- 33:26Play on.
- 33:27They would pace back and forth along my walls in my room.
- 33:35They have been seen by other people.
- 33:39It would always be that overwhelming feeling like they were about to balance it anytime.
- 33:43And you could fill the intention.
- 33:46Like that's hard when described.
- 33:50You could almost have a psychic link with these things and know what they're thinking.
- 33:55And they don't have to say anything and it just didn't feel good.
- 33:58All right.
- 33:59Please don't say anything.
- 34:01I wonder okay Clint you'll have to tell us like did you do you have like some sort of psychic
- 34:06link with these.
- 34:09I mean I know it was in a dream but like could you tell what they were thinking and stuff.
- 34:13You'll have to tell us okay.
- 34:15Did you have any commentary?
- 34:17Oh I was just just please don't say anything.
- 34:22I don't want it.
- 34:24I don't it doesn't need to speak.
- 34:26I'm just going to go ahead and move on.
- 34:29It doesn't need to speak the shadow person.
- 34:31Nothing nothing should speak.
- 34:33No no one.
- 34:34No testimony needed.
- 34:37Dismissed.
- 34:40They followed me around until I was about 18 or 19 years old.
- 34:45I joined the military.
- 34:46Went out of Tennessee into a different state.
- 34:51Some weird things happened in boot camp.
- 34:55Or a couple of bunks and empty barracks got bent overnight after filling that same filling
- 35:02I would fill throughout my entire life.
- 35:05I'll get back home and nothing ever happens again until I'm like last year or the year before.
- 35:15I saw what felt like was the shadow person against my wall and I felt that uneasy filling
- 35:20again.
- 35:22No.
- 35:23No.
- 35:24Okay so I was like oh okay so they went away and there was like until.
- 35:30So what happens now you just like still see them and feel weird as anything else happened?
- 35:37No.
- 35:38No.
- 35:39Nothing else happened.
- 35:41Well there's another story.
- 35:43I was doing the military to make that stop as well.
- 35:46That didn't even work.
- 35:47There was bent up bunks.
- 35:49That's what he said right.
- 35:51The bunks are bent.
- 35:52That was probably a government experiment.
- 35:58Right.
- 35:59Yeah.
- 36:00I was thinking like like a really big magnet they were like how big of a magnet will be
- 36:05need.
- 36:06I was just thinking maybe they just fell apart because they're probably like update things
- 36:12that often there in the military.
- 36:14That feels valid as well.
- 36:16They just broke their big dudes.
- 36:20I just that's what I want to think not to not say I don't believe you or something but
- 36:25I just trying to make it feel better.
- 36:28Yeah we really want to rationalize this.
- 36:31Yeah.
- 36:32But we can't.
- 36:34Also the next story it's like just a tiny bit worse and scarier.
- 36:38Great.
- 36:39Yeah.
- 36:40I can't wait.
- 36:41Oh wait I can.
- 36:42Do you have anything else you want to talk about?
- 36:47About them shoes.
- 36:48I can't think of anything Taylor's.
- 36:54Okay.
- 36:55Okay.
- 36:56Okay.
- 36:57So next one I'm going to cut out the very beginning because he says names and I don't want
- 37:01to include the names.
- 37:03He is saying that he lives with his girlfriend and his kids.
- 37:08We embodied some friends over creepy friends and we played court games and chess and video
- 37:14games and all that.
- 37:15Hey, oh creepy friends.
- 37:18Were your card games, tarot cards?
- 37:20Come on.
- 37:21We know they were.
- 37:22Maybe Oracle.
- 37:24You're feeling nasty.
- 37:26The thing of the day we decided to all sit down and do the Ouija board.
- 37:32Oh okay.
- 37:36Now she really wanted the Ouija board to work and she was really upset because as always
- 37:44the Ouija board never worked for her.
- 37:46Where?
- 37:47So I started making fun of demons and calling them out.
- 37:52Okay.
- 37:53Zach Baggins.
- 37:54Pretty much making everyone uncomfortable trying to give something to happen.
- 37:57Oh no.
- 37:58And of course nothing happened.
- 37:59I know that the candle didn't blow out on its own.
- 38:03Don't entice the demons.
- 38:06I think by entice you mean antagonize.
- 38:09Integanize, yeah.
- 38:10Well the same thing.
- 38:12But yes antagonize is what I meant.
- 38:14That was the correct word.
- 38:15Well okay.
- 38:16So I feel like part of you wanted to be nice and entice like you're like, "Can we all
- 38:23demon?"
- 38:24We're all demon.
- 38:25Well demon, demon.
- 38:26I feel like that was more like, "Can we all know stupid demon?"
- 38:32I don't know.
- 38:33I don't know.
- 38:34Well let's see what happens.
- 38:38Ouija board.
- 38:39Eventually our friends left and everything was fine until we were about to go to sleep and
- 38:48we heard a really loud crash in the kitchen.
- 38:52And it was on the front end of the kitchen table.
- 38:56There was a show along the wall that had a bunch of her family heirlooms from the idling.
- 39:04And it went flying across the kitchen.
- 39:07I say flying across the kitchen but instead of falling straight down it went all the way
- 39:11to the kitchen of Ireland like it had been thrown off the wall and all that stuff had shattered.
- 39:17A day passes and I get really really sick.
- 39:25And I chalk it up to a fever dream but it felt like so much more.
- 39:32I remember falling asleep on the couch.
- 39:35I don't remember falling asleep but I remember rolling over and looking in the middle of the
- 39:39floor and there was a coffin.
- 39:41I was open and you could see a fetid core.
- 39:47I mean just completely disgusting, oozy body decomposed.
- 39:54I mean you know not a fresh corpse.
- 39:56It was weeks old.
- 39:59It was there.
- 40:00I remember getting off the couch and wondering why.
- 40:05My girlfriend and all the kids couldn't see it.
- 40:09And keep in mind everything that's going on in real life is also having my dream like.
- 40:15She was sitting there on her phone watching TV on the chair and that's what was happening.
- 40:19Kids were doing their thing back and forth but it was so vivid and so real.
- 40:26And then all of a sudden the corpse rose up out of the coffin and started to crawl down
- 40:31my mouth.
- 40:33I jumped up off the couch and busted through the door and started throwing up trying to
- 40:40expel what still felt like something was trying to crawl down my throat.
- 40:45Oh my God.
- 40:47Yeah.
- 40:49The oozy corpse trying to crawl down his throat.
- 40:56Oh my God.
- 40:57You're making Kalen puke congratulations.
- 41:00Oh my God.
- 41:03That is.
- 41:06I'd forgotten that that one had a user's like a woman.
- 41:10Get her the call.
- 41:11I'm not going to throw up.
- 41:13I'm not going.
- 41:14I feel like I want to throw up because I can like physically feel how just I have to I
- 41:23can't.
- 41:24I'll let you go ahead.
- 41:26I can I can feel that in a way that I just.
- 41:32Yeah.
- 41:33It's I don't like that.
- 41:35I can either.
- 41:36I can completely like visualize that.
- 41:42I really hate it.
- 41:43I really hate it.
- 41:44I feel like I'm feeling it.
- 41:46It's in your throat.
- 41:48Yeah.
- 41:49Yeah.
- 41:50It feels like your throat's like closing up and you're like listening to a story like that.
- 41:53Oh my God.
- 41:56So I had forgotten obviously I did listen to those audios before playing them and I did
- 42:04not remember really that there was like a coffin aspect to this story and and then like
- 42:13Clint's story is like he's at his funeral.
- 42:17Oh my God.
- 42:18And then like and the shadow people.
- 42:20I did not even make that connection and so obvious that's really embarrassing.
- 42:26Ms. Cole would be it's not please.
- 42:29Oh my gosh.
- 42:32I'm like really good at making connections.
- 42:34I you know a lot of times I am and then sometimes we're a little.
- 42:40Hey, you're disturbed over there.
- 42:44I yeah, anything that like gives me the heave-jeebies really just sets my brain off in a different
- 42:53direction.
- 42:55Consider me heaved and jeezed.
- 42:58I just like what was skimming Clint's story.
- 43:02I got just to see like if there was anything else.
- 43:08In there that would.
- 43:12They were trying to grab him and take him through the portal.
- 43:16Also I guess we didn't really answer your question.
- 43:19Do you think it's?
- 43:22No we didn't really do you think it's possible that shadow people only exist in our minds
- 43:27or do you or do I get play time after I'm dead.
- 43:32I don't know why like the I feel like they're two separate questions like I think shadow
- 43:38people exist in your mind and are like possibly also in the world.
- 43:46They can two things can be true.
- 43:48Are we sure thing?
- 43:53And also if it's in your mind it doesn't mean it's not real either.
- 43:56That's true.
- 43:57It's just as real unless you are obviously like if you have schizophrenia and you're dealing
- 44:03with mental illness.
- 44:05But those things are so very real to them.
- 44:08Yeah I was just going to say that's very real to them.
- 44:11You should take the advice of whatever they're saying to you.
- 44:14Does it mean it's not like real to you though.
- 44:16Anyway.
- 44:17I do I feel like enough people experience that but that feels very real to me.
- 44:26And if you want my opinion I think you get plenty of play time after you transition.
- 44:35I don't like to say transition.
- 44:37In transition.
- 44:38In to the next world.
- 44:40The next life.
- 44:42I don't know.
- 44:43I like to think that shadow people can like take you into the other life.
- 44:48I don't know.
- 44:50Yeah I think for the most part a lot of a lot of what we think of as being sort of of
- 45:00the afterlife and sort of of a paranormal realm.
- 45:06I really think that it has almost as much power as we give it in a way.
- 45:15Which is I mean it's unfortunate for me.
- 45:20But I do things that you know I think that a lot of it's real and we're experiencing certain
- 45:30things.
- 45:31But I do think also at the same time I do think there's a lot of it that really do believe
- 45:40that regardless of how awful it feels.
- 45:46I don't think that they can cause us harm in the way that we understand.
- 45:53Not physical harm.
- 45:54Not in the way that our brains understand at least.
- 45:58Yeah.
- 45:59I just got real hippy-dippy.
- 46:03But I do think though that there's a lot of things that they might be able to be present
- 46:11or visible to you.
- 46:12I do think there's probably a lot of things that even if they can touch you I don't think
- 46:19that they can hurt you.
- 46:24And maybe unless you want them to.
- 46:26You know I feel like if you're making like a TV show and you want the drama like in your
- 46:32like a single bite to fake in it.
- 46:35Well I'm just saying like if you're that type of person who wants to go into like a scary
- 46:41place and think that you and like want bad things to happen to you so that it's like
- 46:46evident that there's things there you're going to get in.
- 46:51I didn't come up with this concept.
- 46:52I've heard it many places.
- 46:54Yeah.
- 46:55Like it's just it's about how you go into it.
- 46:58Yeah.
- 46:59Yeah because I do think that there are places that we visited and I certainly went into it
- 47:06feeling like oh shit I don't know if I should be here and knowing that I'm sensitive and
- 47:12then it's actually been a more positive than negative experience even if there is a lot
- 47:20of intense energy.
- 47:23Yeah.
- 47:24Because that's how we felt about man race.
- 47:27I really did feel like there's a lot of intense energy that there is.
- 47:33And I felt a little bit overwhelmed and I was definitely like I was ready to leave when
- 47:39we left.
- 47:41I wasn't.
- 47:42I know.
- 47:43You know I don't know maybe I'm a spiritual introvert.
- 47:51But I felt very overwhelmed at the end of that experience because it was very intense.
- 47:58But I didn't ever really feel like there was anything that gave me cause for concern in
- 48:06the sense of I would come to harm.
- 48:08Yeah.
- 48:09And again, you know these are you know I'm basing this on my experience and I can't.
- 48:16I certainly I know that it's not the same for everyone and that's not the same experience
- 48:21that I've had in every place.
- 48:24But I really do feel like in the vast majority of situations and circumstances, I do think
- 48:33that I don't think those things can hurt us.
- 48:38Not really.
- 48:39I kind of agree.
- 48:41Maybe I maybe I want to believe that.
- 48:43Well, but you keep on wanting to believe that cause that will protect you.
- 48:47I believe.
- 48:48Manifestation.
- 48:49Oh man.
- 48:53So what do we think about this?
- 48:54I mean, we don't have to go back to the dream.
- 48:57Obviously that was crazy and intense.
- 48:59But do you think who's being possessed or something like the I feel like something trying
- 49:06to come out, someone trying to climb down your throat and get into your body is like
- 49:13a sign of like possession, right?
- 49:16I mean, it didn't get in because he threw it up.
- 49:20Yeah, I feel like that to me reads us something that might have been an attempt.
- 49:28Yeah.
- 49:29But I think I don't know, I just keep going back to that it's like was somebody who's
- 49:37sensitive and they have an awareness and a healthy fear of things that they don't understand.
- 49:46I just feel like you're going to have a hell of a time inhabiting that person.
- 49:50Yeah.
- 49:51Maybe that's what I want to believe.
- 49:53But yeah, I don't know.
- 49:56I don't think so.
- 49:58To me that doesn't read as somebody who has been possessed.
- 50:02Oh, yeah, no, I don't think.
- 50:03I don't think.
- 50:04Currently.
- 50:05It is possessed.
- 50:07I wouldn't think so.
- 50:08I wouldn't think so.
- 50:10It just seems like demons got mad.
- 50:13They were being called out in tight, antagonized.
- 50:18Integinized.
- 50:19And they threw some china down and wanted to fuck with your esophagus.
- 50:26And I don't know, maybe it was just like scary you into not doing that again or I don't
- 50:30know, maybe it was a phone.
- 50:32I wonder where they go after.
- 50:35It was like nothing happened after that.
- 50:37I thought he said anyway.
- 50:39They just got bored.
- 50:40It's like the ADHD.
- 50:41Yeah.
- 50:42They were like, all right.
- 50:43I can't possess that one.
- 50:44I'll just go find another one.
- 50:47Yeah.
- 50:48Yeah.
- 50:49All right, I wonder if it's like this rule and possession land where if you try to possess
- 50:53someone and fail, like you can't try again for seven years.
- 50:57Oh, and do you feel like seven years is like the do you think that feels like the
- 51:04right number?
- 51:05It's probably like 666.
- 51:06They can try again for 600 to six years.
- 51:11Do I say that again?
- 51:12I've not had one sip of alcohol.
- 51:15I really, I really, I cannot possess anyone for six hundred and six years.
- 51:25I don't know.
- 51:27Well, I hope send us more stories.
- 51:29If you're shadow people do anything else, apparently they're just hanging around and
- 51:34you see them every now and then?
- 51:36I don't know.
- 51:37Hey, yeah.
- 51:38It's kind of hoping they would go away.
- 51:41But I wanted to I wanted to think like they were protectors.
- 51:46Maybe they were a new theory.
- 51:48Oh.
- 51:49I wanted to believe like the shadow people are protectors and just like watching over you.
- 51:55But I was like, oh, but the bad, the really bad feeling.
- 51:59But then I was like, what if the bad feeling is there and then the shadow people show up
- 52:04because something else is going on and they actually are protecting you?
- 52:08I mean, that could be.
- 52:10And just the scary thing you can't see it somewhere else.
- 52:13Diamonds.
- 52:14You don't know what that looks like.
- 52:16Yeah.
- 52:17Yeah.
- 52:18I mean, I feel like that seems like a plausible explanation as well.
- 52:24Yeah.
- 52:25I just wanted to explore a couple lanes here.
- 52:28So you would see what we think.
- 52:29If you guys think anything different, let us know.
- 52:31If you have more stories about shadow people and creepy like coffin dreams.
- 52:39My God.
- 52:40Oh.
- 52:41You can email them to us at pnwhonsonhomicide@gmail.com.
- 52:46You can send us voice messages if you would like.
- 52:49Can we get voice messages to our texts?
- 52:52Do you know?
- 52:53I'm not sure.
- 52:55Let's test it.
- 52:56Can you receive through those or is it just sending?
- 52:59I have no idea.
- 53:01I really have no idea.
- 53:03That's probably just sending.
- 53:05Anyway.
- 53:06Yeah.
- 53:07I don't know.
- 53:08If they wanted to send us a voice memo, I'm sure they could through the text line.
- 53:12I think the website now has like a component where they can use.
- 53:19And if you wanted to record a voice memo and just send it to us through like our Google
- 53:25form or send it as attachment to an email, you can do that.
- 53:31There's so many different ways where if you really want to be the one to sort of voice
- 53:37the story, at least even if it's just us, you have voice the story and have us still
- 53:44tell it, we would be honored.
- 53:48Yeah.
- 53:51Like if you don't want to type it out, send a voice message, but you don't want your voice
- 53:55on the pod, we can like retell it for you.
- 53:58Yeah.
- 53:591000%. Totes.
- 54:00We'd love that.
- 54:01Yeah.
- 54:02Also, we'll send you stickers still if you give us your address and return.
- 54:05Yes.
- 54:06All right.
- 54:07Well, should we do a couple tarot reads for these?
- 54:11Yes.
- 54:12Stores.
- 54:13We're doing tarot for creepy people chronicle story.
- 54:25All the dang shadow people, crazy dreams.
- 54:31I thought these candles would go really good together.
- 54:34So I'm burning this boys and apple candle that Caitlin got me so long ago.
- 54:40So long ago.
- 54:42And I just have the heart to burn it yet, but we're burning it today.
- 54:46And then I have the haunted circus candle from mythic wick.
- 54:52Yeah.
- 54:53Okay.
- 54:54I say it right.
- 54:55Yeah, you do.
- 54:56And that's like caramel apple, circus, like popcorn and smoke and fire or something.
- 55:02It's like ghostly like smoking fire.
- 55:04It smells so good.
- 55:06Oh, drawing for Clint.
- 55:15Four of cups.
- 55:18Four of cups has a cute ghost on it because it's from my cute ghost deck.
- 55:23Cute.
- 55:24So cute.
- 55:25It has four cups on it.
- 55:28Surprise, surprise.
- 55:30Shut.
- 55:31Okay.
- 55:32Here we go.
- 55:34So we drew that upright.
- 55:36Correct.
- 55:37Okay.
- 55:38So the four of cups are keywords are withdrawal, rest, boredom, lack of inspiration, rest,
- 55:49sleepy.
- 55:53The four of cups in the writer, wait Smith and other decks depicts a loonsome person sitting
- 56:00beneath a tree.
- 56:03Some show a disembodied hand passing him or her a cup.
- 56:10The idea, the idea is that you've gone off on your own and art receiving what others
- 56:18hold out to you at this time.
- 56:21You may be withdrawing from your usual routine, work, friends, etc.
- 56:27In order to get in touch with yourself.
- 56:30Well, you know, self love is important.
- 56:32It's not a bad thing.
- 56:33Boundary setting.
- 56:36The upright four of cups symbolizes boredom and stagnation.
- 56:41You're not satisfied with your life at this time, but lack the incentive to make changes.
- 56:47You've detached emotionally from people and situations.
- 56:53Sometimes this card indicates you've sacrificed happiness for security.
- 56:58Which I feel is true of anyone living in late stage capital.
- 57:05Well, also just that statement, like sacrificing happiness for security, it's like he was laughing
- 57:14while trying to save his family.
- 57:16I don't know why that kind of just like the juxtaposition of that is very interesting
- 57:22to me.
- 57:23Yeah, thanks for the big word.
- 57:24Yeah.
- 57:25Oh, God.
- 57:26I needed it.
- 57:27If you're reading about money, this card can mean you're too attached to money and security.
- 57:34Perhaps at the expense of love and joy.
- 57:37Which I feel like you were just discussing off my cow.
- 57:45You might be experiencing one at the expense of another.
- 57:50Yeah.
- 57:51Perhaps you've prioritized money in the past and now seek meaning in other things.
- 57:57He just got a tarot deck.
- 57:59Oh, yeah.
- 58:01And I feel like it just is sort of symbolic of him seeking something and maybe trying to
- 58:08find some meaning.
- 58:10And I think honestly, if you do terror readings for yourself and also for others, I've frequently
- 58:18done them for family and friends.
- 58:26You'll find kind of little bits of wisdom that sort of, wow, I really needed to hear that.
- 58:32And it might not influence your life in some sort of crazy way, but it's just what you
- 58:37needed to hear today.
- 58:39Yeah.
- 58:40Yeah.
- 58:41If the reading is about your job, you probably feel stuck and bored with your job.
- 58:50Which like, okay, same as who isn't.
- 58:53Less is this one.
- 58:54Yeah.
- 58:55That's pretty cool.
- 58:56I know, right?
- 58:59You may long for more creativity and enjoyment, but have opted for security instead.
- 59:06Yeah.
- 59:07I mean, you have to have it.
- 59:09Something you need.
- 59:10It's true.
- 59:11And with a family in particular, that's, you know, the security of you, of not just yourself,
- 59:18but your family, that really has to be paramount.
- 59:22Yeah.
- 59:23In a reading about love, the force shows you withdrawing affection and energy from a relationship.
- 59:32Perhaps routine has sacked your enthusiasm.
- 59:36This card also symbolizes a relationship based on security rather than passion.
- 59:42I feel like every relationship goes through phases.
- 59:47And I don't know if that's a phase that you're in right now.
- 59:51But it can be very easy to move a relationship from one phase to the next or to your specifically
- 1:00:02desired phase.
- 1:00:05If you know, you kind of put in that time and that energy and the work to sort of make it
- 1:00:14something that feels new and different, even if you've been in it for a long time.
- 1:00:19Yeah.
- 1:00:20You're so wise.
- 1:00:21You're not even married yet.
- 1:00:22Not yet, but I mean, I have a way to do it.
- 1:00:27I mean, at the ripe old age of 25, getting married for the very first time.
- 1:00:37Now I mean, I think, you know, it's always easier to think about these things in relation
- 1:00:45to someone else and feel like you can weigh in a way that's meaningful and you can give
- 1:00:53them insight in a way that, I mean, even someone that's close to you, probably maybe even more
- 1:01:01sell someone that's close to you because not that, you know, we don't adore you, but just
- 1:01:08that, you know, we're not as close to on the day to day to the situation.
- 1:01:14We can just say, you know, maybe, you know, maybe whether it's a romantic relationship,
- 1:01:22a platonic one, a work relationship.
- 1:01:25What if it's like your shadow person relationship?
- 1:01:27Maybe don't work on that one.
- 1:01:29If it feels monotonous and you don't want it to be, you know, there are avenues that you
- 1:01:37can explore to remedy that.
- 1:01:40Yeah.
- 1:01:41There's always something that can be done about everything.
- 1:01:43I mean, obviously not like with extremes, like you can't cure cancer.
- 1:01:48Like, you know what I mean, but like just normal stuff, like there's always something that
- 1:01:52can be done.
- 1:01:53Right.
- 1:01:54When it comes to like relationship problems, when it comes to, you know, largely social issues
- 1:02:03and, you know, your individual dynamics, those are things that they can be changed.
- 1:02:12We can work on that.
- 1:02:14Yeah.
- 1:02:15Well, should we draw for the next story?
- 1:02:20Actually, what I was going to say, we don't even know if this card relates to you, Clint,
- 1:02:24but if it does let us know.
- 1:02:27We don't know what's going on over there.
- 1:02:29We're just reading from the book.
- 1:02:31So.
- 1:02:32Yeah.
- 1:02:33Thank you for your story.
- 1:02:34We love that.
- 1:02:35So much.
- 1:02:36We love hearing from Clint.
- 1:02:37It's always entertaining.
- 1:02:39We always cry.
- 1:02:40So that's like our, that's our thing now.
- 1:02:42So you can never not make us cry when you send us the story.
- 1:02:46Apparently.
- 1:02:47That is his thing of ours.
- 1:02:49I cannot believe he's not going to make us cry and then proceeded to tell us the saddest
- 1:02:54dream.
- 1:02:55It's just.
- 1:02:56Okay.
- 1:02:57Well, let's draw a story for, let's draw a card for next story.
- 1:03:05Okay.
- 1:03:06This is definitely when I went and I picked one with Clint because I felt like I knew,
- 1:03:12but you got to, you got to do this one.
- 1:03:16I was in that region.
- 1:03:17It's been eyeballing me.
- 1:03:18Oh, the moon.
- 1:03:19Interesting.
- 1:03:20I was wearing a shirt that had the moon on it earlier today.
- 1:03:24That's so funny.
- 1:03:25Okay.
- 1:03:26Oh, this is all about like a nighttime dream.
- 1:03:29This is all about like secrets and shadows.
- 1:03:33Oh, shadow people.
- 1:03:35Secrets.
- 1:03:36What are your secrets, Nick?
- 1:03:38What are your psychro.
- 1:03:40Oh boy.
- 1:03:41This is so perfect.
- 1:03:42Oh my gosh.
- 1:03:43Moon is like totally like shadow.
- 1:03:44Like it's crazy.
- 1:03:45This is really interesting.
- 1:03:46Okay.
- 1:03:47Okay.
- 1:03:48He words are intuition.
- 1:03:49The unconscious.
- 1:04:02Oh, hello.
- 1:04:04Mystery illusion and secrets.
- 1:04:06I said secrets.
- 1:04:08What are your secrets?
- 1:04:10Nicholas, we're coming for you on Tennessee.
- 1:04:14I don't know if you still live there, not.
- 1:04:17I assume wherever you are.
- 1:04:18Once you still have an accent, you probably still live in Tennessee, right?
- 1:04:22That's how that works.
- 1:04:23I don't think so.
- 1:04:24I think you don't move and pick up the accent over you go, necessarily.
- 1:04:29I'm probably so offensive to this house.
- 1:04:32I deeply apologize.
- 1:04:34They love it.
- 1:04:35I love your accent.
- 1:04:36Bless your heart.
- 1:04:37Bless your heart.
- 1:04:39Bless your heart.
- 1:04:42The moon is a magical mysterious part that symbolizes the unconscious, the realm of dreams,
- 1:04:51imagination and psychic impressions.
- 1:04:55Crazy.
- 1:04:57Some deck show the moon as full, others in its crescent phase.
- 1:05:04Where some of it shadowed.
- 1:05:08On the right-of-way smith's deck, two canines, a dog and a wolf, howl at the moon.
- 1:05:15At the bottom of the card is a pool or pond of water from which crawls a crab.
- 1:05:22Oh, oh, interesting.
- 1:05:25Oh.
- 1:05:27Symbol of the astrological sign cancer ruled by the moon.
- 1:05:32That's me, you guys.
- 1:05:33I have a crab on my foot.
- 1:05:35I probably don't want to show my foot, let's see.
- 1:05:37It's like a crab craw foot.
- 1:05:42You can't.
- 1:05:45You literally can't get it in frame.
- 1:05:48Can you see it?
- 1:05:50Kind of.
- 1:05:51Well, take a picture of it.
- 1:05:53I thought it was funnier to try to look at what's like you with your shoes.
- 1:05:59At the bottom of the card is a pool or pond of water from which crawls a crab.
- 1:06:05Symbol of the astrological sign cancer ruled by the moon.
- 1:06:11Crawfish or lobster.
- 1:06:13Crawfish?
- 1:06:14Crawlfish.
- 1:06:15I like to think of it as being lobster.
- 1:06:17Because that's how it looks.
- 1:06:18Yeah, lobster is delicious.
- 1:06:21The water suggests the moon's link with the emotions in the unconscious realm.
- 1:06:27Totally.
- 1:06:28Oh, I just thought like crawfish boil like in the south.
- 1:06:32I think yeah.
- 1:06:35That's the video.
- 1:06:36I was like, yeah, I've been there for days.
- 1:06:38You have to say it, Caitlin.
- 1:06:40Come on.
- 1:06:41Well, I mean, I don't.
- 1:06:42If it relate with the card didn't know that this story was from the south.
- 1:06:46But didn't it?
- 1:06:47Didn't it?
- 1:06:48It didn't know.
- 1:06:49The moon urges you to pay more attention to your inner self, your lunar self.
- 1:06:56Oh, didn't that last card kind of say that too?
- 1:07:01I think a little bit.
- 1:07:02It's about self reflection.
- 1:07:03I think in both of these instances, the light of the sun enables us to see the world around
- 1:07:12us.
- 1:07:13But the moon allows us to eliminate, illuminate, excuse me, illuminate what springs naturally
- 1:07:22from inside us.
- 1:07:25So very cancer type stuff going on here.
- 1:07:30I immediately cannot connect because it's very gushy.
- 1:07:35Do you know it's very emotional?
- 1:07:37Yeah.
- 1:07:38Well, do you know what that also reminds me of?
- 1:07:40What?
- 1:07:41Vomit.
- 1:07:42Oh.
- 1:07:43What did it say?
- 1:07:44Read that again.
- 1:07:45It's delightful.
- 1:07:46The light of the sun enables us to see the world around us.
- 1:07:50But the moon allows us to illuminate what springs naturally from inside us.
- 1:07:56Wow.
- 1:07:57Springs.
- 1:07:58Springs naturally from inside us.
- 1:08:00As a projectile from within.
- 1:08:03That's what it sounded like.
- 1:08:04He was vomiting.
- 1:08:05It is.
- 1:08:06Okay.
- 1:08:07We've got an extra excerpt before our whole interpretation.
- 1:08:13Evidence of moon worship is found in such widely buried cultures as those of the in a
- 1:08:21saucy Indians of New Mexico, the Greeks, Romans, Chinese, pre-Columbian, Peruvians,
- 1:08:31Burmese, Phoenicians, and Egyptians.
- 1:08:35So basically every continent.
- 1:08:38Yeah.
- 1:08:39Not shocking.
- 1:08:40No.
- 1:08:42In the craft, when we refer to the great god by the Hebrew names, L or Elohim, we borrow
- 1:08:50the new terms that entered Hebrew from Arabic, where the name "Ela" derives from a word
- 1:08:58that means moon.
- 1:09:00Hmm.
- 1:09:01I had no idea.
- 1:09:02Me neither.
- 1:09:03Wow.
- 1:09:04Okay.
- 1:09:05Now we're going to get to your actual interpretation.
- 1:09:08This is really interesting.
- 1:09:10The moon upright shows you tuning into your lunar energies.
- 1:09:15You're becoming more aware of your feelings and inner life.
- 1:09:20The moon also suggests psychic ability.
- 1:09:24You can sense other people's vibrations because you're connected to the information network
- 1:09:31of the invisible world or an invisible string.
- 1:09:36What?
- 1:09:37That's crazy.
- 1:09:42We talked about that.
- 1:09:43Did we talk about that in this episode?
- 1:09:45It was not like a pat.
- 1:09:46We've recorded three episodes today.
- 1:09:48Yeah.
- 1:09:49We're actually bringing people.
- 1:09:52Yeah.
- 1:09:53Oh, that's a...
- 1:09:54Nick, are you psychic?
- 1:09:55Let us know.
- 1:09:56Can you feel our vibrations?
- 1:09:58Okay.
- 1:09:59Listen to this.
- 1:10:01Pay attention to your dreams, feelings, instincts, and intuition.
- 1:10:08For artistic people, the moon's appearance may indicate a time of increased imagination
- 1:10:14and creativity.
- 1:10:16I hear crows.
- 1:10:17That's a good sign.
- 1:10:20Interrating about money, this card recommends listening to your intuition as well as your intellect
- 1:10:26in connection with a money matter.
- 1:10:29I mean, that's pretty standard advice.
- 1:10:31I feel like...
- 1:10:32I feel like...
- 1:10:33Solid.
- 1:10:34However, don't make a decision based on emotion alone.
- 1:10:41Which is...
- 1:10:42I feel like that goes for money and pretty much everything else.
- 1:10:46Yeah.
- 1:10:47The moon can also point to ups and downs, changing phases in a financial situation.
- 1:10:57If the reading is about your job, the moon can mean a situation has a hidden or dark side.
- 1:11:04Hmm.
- 1:11:05This isn't necessarily bad, but you may not be aware of all of the dynamics at work.
- 1:11:11Well, shoot.
- 1:11:12Nick, watch out.
- 1:11:15Illusions or secrets may cause confusion.
- 1:11:20If you begin something during the new moon, you may see things more clearly or a project
- 1:11:26may reach culmination during the full moon.
- 1:11:31Interesting.
- 1:11:32Look up when the next new moon is, because I know boys probably don't usually care about
- 1:11:35when the new moon is.
- 1:11:37I mean, I'm obviously making a gender stereotype there.
- 1:11:41You guys know what I mean.
- 1:11:43Yeah.
- 1:11:44Oh, it's soon.
- 1:11:46Oh, it's soon.
- 1:11:48Oh, it's...
- 1:11:49Oh, it's just...
- 1:11:50It's just happened.
- 1:11:51Yeah, it happened two days ago.
- 1:11:52So you missed your shot.
- 1:11:53You'll have to wait until next new moon, which is...
- 1:11:57Oh, yeah.
- 1:11:58Oh, yeah.
- 1:11:59Oh, yeah.
- 1:12:00Oh, yeah.
- 1:12:01Next new moon, which is on July 5th.
- 1:12:04Oh, interesting.
- 1:12:05Okay.
- 1:12:06When is the full moon?
- 1:12:08Oh, sorry.
- 1:12:10Two weeks' fish from now, let's see.
- 1:12:13Full moon is June 21st.
- 1:12:15Oh, wow.
- 1:12:17Second day of summer, I think.
- 1:12:20And then the July is July 21st.
- 1:12:22Okay.
- 1:12:23Cool.
- 1:12:24Good to know.
- 1:12:27Just making plans.
- 1:12:28I mean, now those details, ironing out.
- 1:12:33I don't know.
- 1:12:34I might have said that weird.
- 1:12:36That's okay.
- 1:12:37Get over it.
- 1:12:38You say most things when I'm just kidding, you don't.
- 1:12:40I can't.
- 1:12:41No.
- 1:12:42In a reading about love, this card symbolizes a highly emotional relationship that may be tinged
- 1:12:49with illusions.
- 1:12:52Sometimes it represents a sensitive partner who nurtures you, especially creatively.
- 1:12:58Or that you're working on issues of mothering and nurturing.
- 1:13:03Interesting.
- 1:13:05All right.
- 1:13:08Our extra excerpt is extra long.
- 1:13:14When looking for adventure in a dark and deserted landscape, we should ask only for the
- 1:13:21light of the moon.
- 1:13:24Men or imaginations can create more exotic explanations for the wrestling in the undergrowth
- 1:13:32or the dark, bottomless voids, which open up ahead of us.
- 1:13:41We comfort ourselves too much with light.
- 1:13:46Sometimes we must wander in the dark so that our other senses can find their full expression
- 1:13:53and we hear more clearly the message of the night.
- 1:13:59The wilderness and the strange creatures that inhabit the unseen spaces.
- 1:14:06Whoa.
- 1:14:07That's pretty cool.
- 1:14:10Kind of creepy though.
- 1:14:14The creatures that came out of the dark in these stories are.
- 1:14:18Yeah.
- 1:14:19That's a lot.
- 1:14:21But I don't know.
- 1:14:22Maybe that goes to like what I was saying is like you can't see the bad thing and the shadow
- 1:14:26people that you can see are the ones protecting you.
- 1:14:30Maybe.
- 1:14:31And you can't have shadow without light.
- 1:14:33Oh, I don't know.
- 1:14:38My body is.
- 1:14:40Wow.
- 1:14:42Well, both of you guys let us know if this is relating to your life or your, I mean,
- 1:14:49obviously parts of them were relating to the story, but I mean, you don't have to tell
- 1:14:53us your life.
- 1:14:54But tell us if the card relates.
- 1:14:55We like to know.
- 1:14:56I like to tell us your life.
- 1:14:57Like, feel free to tell us.
- 1:14:59Yeah, you can tell us your life.
- 1:15:01What's going on at work?
- 1:15:02What's going on with this relationship that's very emotional and passionate.
- 1:15:06I love it.
- 1:15:08Well, that was cool.
- 1:15:12I really like getting like a voice message story from people.
- 1:15:17Yeah.
- 1:15:18It's fun.
- 1:15:19It gives people a break from hearing us read.
- 1:15:21We're going to have to take a look before this one comes out and see if we can give their
- 1:15:27guidelines on how to do the audio.
- 1:15:29See that.
- 1:15:30I mean, there's so many ways that I know people that are really motivated to do it.
- 1:15:37They will just do that thing.
- 1:15:39They will do the thing.
- 1:15:41But I think we might have some resources.
- 1:15:47Yeah, I need like an easy way to do something.
- 1:15:50Show me where to click the button.
- 1:15:51I'll do it.
- 1:15:52But if I actually take extra steps, sometimes it depends.
- 1:15:56We're all busy.
- 1:15:57Yeah.
- 1:15:58Yeah.
- 1:15:59And I totally get that.
- 1:16:00So I'm like, I can appreciate when there's like a shorthand for things.
- 1:16:04Yeah.
- 1:16:05So yeah, we'll have to take a look at that and see if we can figure out some ways to like
- 1:16:09make that a little bit easier for people.
- 1:16:11And maybe even for some people that don't feel like they're the most savvy in that arena.
- 1:16:23My self included.
- 1:16:26Yeah.
- 1:16:28That was fun.
- 1:16:29Yeah.
- 1:16:30Yeah.
- 1:16:31Hearing somebody else actually tell the story.
- 1:16:34I try to put myself in that person's shoes when we're reading somebody else's story.
- 1:16:40But to hear their voice telling it is clearly creates more of an emotional response from
- 1:16:46you.
- 1:16:47Yeah.
- 1:16:48Yeah.
- 1:16:49Physical even.
- 1:16:50It is.
- 1:16:51It's hard to argue with that.
- 1:16:52Yeah.
- 1:16:53Yeah.
- 1:16:54All right.
- 1:16:55Well, should we go?
- 1:16:56It's pretty late at night here.
- 1:17:00I mean, you can't tell because you have no idea what time of day it is now anymore.
- 1:17:06You've blocked out the light, which don't do that in general, but like unless you need a
- 1:17:14room with controlled light and sound, that's just how we're living.
- 1:17:21That's how the curtain closes.
- 1:17:23Yeah.
- 1:17:24And could this.
- 1:17:29Should we do our thing?
- 1:17:30Let's do our thing.
- 1:17:32Okay.
- 1:17:33Have a creepy ass day.
- 1:17:36We'll see you next Tuesday.
- 1:17:38But like feel free to write us in between now.
- 1:17:41Yeah.
- 1:17:42Let us know what you're up to, what you're doing, how your day is going, what you had for lunch.
- 1:17:50If it was really interesting or spooky, if you got like a paranormal message from your
- 1:17:58tuna, you know, in the sandwich.
- 1:18:01I want a tuna paranormal message.
- 1:18:04Tuna paranormal on a five.
- 1:18:06A listen, you asked them, what did they have for lunch?
- 1:18:11Well, everyone stay away from, I don't want to see stay away from shadow people because what
- 1:18:18if they're not evil?
- 1:18:21Listen, just stay safe.
- 1:18:22Yeah.
- 1:18:23How about please stay safe.
- 1:18:24Do it feels right.
- 1:18:26If you're not safe and something happens, please let us know immediately.
- 1:18:30Especially from the afterlife.
- 1:18:32Well, don't die.
- 1:18:34Please.
- 1:18:35Listen, if they already died, like the least you could do is contact us.
- 1:18:41Oh, and we haven't said it in a long time, but this is also proof that these stories don't
- 1:18:48need to be from the Pacific Northwest.
- 1:18:49They could be from Tennessee or Canada.
- 1:18:52Well, I don't know what part of Canadian Clint is in.
- 1:18:56Oh, I mean also, visit Canada.
- 1:19:02Our friend from Canada.
- 1:19:04Yeah.
- 1:19:05(laughing)
