- 0:19The Mob Guys, Craig Coglianese and Wayne Dolcefino, KSEV.
- 0:32That's that guy.
- 0:42That is us.
- 0:44We are the Mob Guys on KSEV Radio.
- 0:48When I hear that music, that song, I want some mozzarella.
- 0:52I do.
- 0:53I want some mozzarella, tomatoes.
- 0:56I want some pasta with red sauce.
- 0:57Oh, maybe some clams sure little wine sauce. That'd be amazing. I do you make your own meatballs or do you buy them in the store?
- 1:09Just curious Brooklyn I make my own meatballs
- 1:12Yeah, I make a lot of them in case you gotta go to the mattresses. Okay, of course, right? Yeah
- 1:17No, and I'm I mix
- 1:21Sausage and beef and veal. Yeah, my meatball. Yeah, that's what we do breadcrumbs garlic
- 1:27the egg, the milk.
- 1:29Yes. Right. And I and I cooked them in the sauce.
- 1:33I know you told me that you did put them in.
- 1:35So can I do a cooking show?
- 1:39I think you could at least Italian.
- 1:42Yeah. You know what?
- 1:42We could put out a cookbook.
- 1:44The mob guys cookbook.
- 1:45That sounds amazing.
- 1:47Recipes from the Coglianese and the Dolcefino's
- 1:49recipes from the mob guys to our families
- 1:53with some mob connections that we don't like to talk.
- 1:56You know what's funny about you sit like that used to happen a lot where radio guys would put out other stuff that would also sell
- 2:02And we don't do that anymore. There's no cookbook coming out
- 2:05I don't think Michael Barry's got a cookbook, but we can make one. Let's do it Michael. What would Michael?
- 2:13He looks homeless have you seen him lately a picture of him he does he looks kind of homeless that is true
- 2:19Did I ever tell you that Michael, but we should be talking about no he shouldn't be talking about competitors, but anyway
- 2:24No, no, but that's okay because I met him for lunch once with somebody else.
- 2:31And so I walk in the restaurant and I go to the bathroom and the guys, and a few women
- 2:39listening, right?
- 2:40We have stalls, right?
- 2:41If you haven't actually seen it.
- 2:43And I'm the guy that'll talk to someone who's peeing next to me.
- 2:46Me too.
- 2:47Yeah, I'll talk to him.
- 2:49Can we say that word?
- 2:50I just did.
- 2:51We can't say the word pig.
- 2:52Okay.
- 2:52So I'm talking to the guy that would go to the bathroom and stuff.
- 2:57I'm not sure why I'm telling this story, actually.
- 3:00It was such a good story.
- 3:01But anyway, so there's a guy next to me, a homeless guy.
- 3:05And I'm just, you know, I say hi.
- 3:07He was a little scary.
- 3:08And I come back out and I sit down with the guy I'm on lunch with.
- 3:12And I said, where's Michael?
- 3:14And then all of a sudden, the homeless guy comes out of the bathroom.
- 3:19It's Michael Berry.
- 3:19And I think I was like literally within like nine inches of him going to the bathroom.
- 3:24Yeah.
- 3:25And I had no idea who he was.
- 3:26That's crazy.
- 3:27Yeah.
- 3:27Now, I also talk to people in the bathroom.
- 3:30I don't think that that's, I don't know, but I guess that's weird.
- 3:32I guess you're not supposed to do that.
- 3:33So I drive to Austin every week.
- 3:36Right?
- 3:36And I stop at Ruska's.
- 3:39Right?
- 3:39It's in Elinger.
- 3:40Right?
- 3:40I like the barbecue there, the barbecue place, there's the Thai place.
- 3:44Nice.
- 3:44Oh, the Polish, the German, whatever it is, the Ruska people.
- 3:50Right. And I always go in the bathroom and I always walk in like sort of humming
- 3:54and singing and say, hey, how's everybody doing?
- 3:57Right. Some people, it's like elevators.
- 4:00I love to talk to people in Elvis. Sure.
- 4:03And I'm exactly the opposite of of most people
- 4:07who will get in an elevator and like literally.
- 4:11Yeah. Do anything to avoid eye contact.
- 4:14with people.
- 4:16This is why we get along, by the way.
- 4:18We both do this stuff, yes.
- 4:20I want to hang out with people.
- 4:22How you doing?
- 4:22How you doing?
- 4:23What's happening?
- 4:23We got like 30 seconds together.
- 4:26Let's fill it up with some air time.
- 4:28Let's do a little bit of a bit here.
- 4:30And then absolutely.
- 4:31And they're not interested.
- 4:32Some people are so uncomfortable.
- 4:36It's like, dude, I'm not trying to like look at you going to the bathroom.
- 4:42I just figured we're like literally.
- 4:43Right.
- 4:44We're stuck.
- 4:45We're stuck from each other.
- 4:46Shouldn't we at least acknowledge each other?
- 4:48Yes.
- 4:48I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is for this.
- 4:51I don't think that, I don't think we're following etiquette, but I don't care.
- 4:54Because as you said, like we're just humans.
- 4:56We're just acting human.
- 4:57And it's crazy that so many people, I actually feel like that's happening more and more like
- 5:01the checkout at a grocery store now.
- 5:03The person who's working there that I choose to go to, because I like to go, they don't
- 5:07all want to have a conversation.
- 5:08They want to act like the robot, ring it up and then hand you your groceries and leave.
- 5:12And they have no interest in your life or no not a high just pretending and by the way
- 5:19Because we're both from originally from the Northeast I to this day
- 5:23I do not want to take my own stuff out of the shopping cart and put it on that thing
- 5:29Whatever that conveyor belt is I know I want someone to do it for me. They should I
- 5:36Will I would much rather pick that's why I don't
- 5:39unless I'm absolutely forced to and that's what they're trying to do.
- 5:44Life is like being forced down a tube of toothpaste. I do not want to self-checkout.
- 5:51I don't want to pull the little scanner thing and find where the barcode is.
- 5:56I don't want to do that.
- 5:57I don't want to do any of it. I want a person there who's got a good sense of humor,
- 6:03who likes their life, who doesn't hate themselves, is not a serial killer.
- 6:08I want them just to like say hi. How you doing? How's the day? Yeah, pump my gas
- 6:16Okay, you touched on the other one cuz that's the other one I was gonna ask you about I've been from New Jersey
- 6:21I wish people would still pump our gas and they do it in Mexico cuz you go to Mexico
- 6:26Yeah
- 6:27You go to Mexico and the guy still does it and like my wife will talk to him for a couple seconds and I'm like
- 6:32Why don't we have this anymore in the United?
- 6:33Why because we were trying to help the homeless so we decided to like sub out all the window washing
- 6:42Gas stations to the homeless guy on the street who comes up to your car and starts doing your windows
- 6:47Whether you want him to or not with I don't know what I'm not really sure what he's actually cleaning them with
- 6:55I'm not sure yeah, and he does that at the stoplight and if he doesn't finish before the lights
- 7:00Changes he still wants to get paid and I don't know what that other
- 7:04I do have a piece of audio that I sent to Jack that we are gonna play we didn't play a lot of, Talarico
- 7:10Yesterday, and I think both of us agree that he wasn't challenged enough. He did sound pretty good
- 7:15But I think that anything we'd play we'd probably object to
- 7:19Where the follow-up question wasn't but this is good. I want to be the senator for all
- 7:2831 million
- 7:28and even the ones that believe the Bible is not silent about abortion.
- 7:36Right. Yeah. He wants to apparently. Yeah. I wish he had been challenged more, but he did. He did have a successful CNN town hall, which again, not all that surprising, but this look he looked relaxed. Sure. He did. He did. He did look like he was comfortable in whatever format they wanted. And that unfortunately is part of our politics today. Yeah. Part of our politics.
- 7:58is still whether or not you like someone.
- 8:01And I don't like, I understand why Trump did what he did
- 8:05with Paxton, making fun of it the way he looks
- 8:07and stuff like that.
- 8:08But I don't like being in the last 18 days of a campaign
- 8:12with the message being, we know you don't like the guy,
- 8:16but vote for him anyway.
- 8:18That's just not a place you want to be.
- 8:21No.
- 8:21Anyone who says, that's really a great message.
- 8:25Right, yeah.
- 8:26Yeah, but they, like you said, they could make him more likeable by leaning into some
- 8:30of the things that he might not do as well as Talarico does.
- 8:34If you expect that and create an opportunity to lean into it, you can be endearing.
- 8:38You don't have to be someone that people still think is bad.
- 8:42My son worked for him for three years, okay?
- 8:44But not closely.
- 8:45He worked as one of a bunch of assistant attorney generals, right?
- 8:49He didn't like talk to Paxton, they didn't hang out together or anything like that.
- 8:52But, but when I saw him last night, we were talking about those because we talk about
- 8:56politics a lot.
- 8:58And he said, he's like the best attorney general ever had in this state to argue for
- 9:04our principles.
- 9:04Yes.
- 9:05And that's not their campaign.
- 9:08The guy's a doer.
- 9:09Do you want someone who talks real fancy?
- 9:12You want someone who wears $1,000 suits?
- 9:16Or do you want a guy who's in a roll up his sleeves and get the crap done?
- 9:21Right.
- 9:21That's what I want.
- 9:22You want the doer.
- 9:23The mob guy's always...
- 9:24I want the doer.
- 9:24We always want the doer.
- 9:25We always want that.
- 9:26Let's jack if we want.
- 9:27Let's play that clip of the debate with Talarico and the woman who was objecting to something
- 9:33crazy that Talarico said.
- 9:35And so I can respect anyone like you who is consistently pro-life.
- 9:40And I actually think there's common ground we can find here.
- 9:44moral and ethical conclusions when it comes to the question of should abortion be legal or not?
- 9:51It sounds like you and I do come to a different conclusion that's okay
- 9:54we're both Christians and and the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion it
- 9:59means you and I both have to look at at different scriptures to try to come to a conclusion
- 10:04And I just want to add that the Bible is not silent on abortion
- 10:07There is the Ten Commandments that should not kill and as Catholics we take great
- 10:13Yeah
- 10:13And so I can stop it stop it now, it's just gonna keep playing so that that is the I go it
- 10:21I forgot about the thou shall not kill
- 10:25Pretty popular pretty pretty popular in the Bible
- 10:28I feel like the Ten Commandments easy one for people who even just grazed over it to kind of get but
- 10:32Yeah, that was probably one of the only moments he was challenged. Go ahead Wayne. And did you hear the way he described
- 10:38I think he said he was pro-choice
- 10:41Right. Yeah, that what he was saying. Yes, right
- 10:45He didn't want to say that, right? I believe in a woman's right to treat him. Democratic line.
- 10:50He did the we could come to different conclusions about the ethical more. That was the kind of
- 10:56Pablum answers he gave all night. Yeah. Yeah. And because he was in a format that was not was
- 11:06very friendly and was not going to be challenged very much because the people there at CNN believe
- 11:15they want him to win.
- 11:18It is what it is.
- 11:21But he wasn't challenged.
- 11:23But the more I thought about it,
- 11:25and I was telling you this,
- 11:26the more I thought about him
- 11:28and how good I thought that he might have performed,
- 11:34when you start really getting into the answers,
- 11:38it's like a joke.
- 11:40Yeah, and I know.
- 11:41And that's what you get
- 11:42But when you give yourself an opportunity to be on a platform like that without the
- 11:47opponent across from you as the person most likely to hold your lies accountable, to most
- 11:53likely challenge them, that's the challenge.
- 11:55And so right now, my biggest fear, if you want to call it that, is that if any of these
- 12:00other televised conversations can move the needle, I don't know if they can.
- 12:06We're in October already.
- 12:07At this point, a lot of people believe most of what you're going to vote for is set in
- 12:11Stone, but if Talarico pops up on another town hall because Paxton refuses to be on
- 12:16a television with him, it only benefits Talarico.
- 12:19He can do whatever he wants, go wherever he wants and not be challenged by anybody except
- 12:23potentially a moderator.
- 12:25And if he goes to friendly places, they're not even going to do that.
- 12:27So well, early voting doesn't start until next week.
- 12:30Right.
- 12:31And the people who normally vote the first couple of days are like the real partisans,
- 12:35you know, like me, I'm there at 7 a.m. on the first day, right?
- 12:38I want to be the first guy to vote.
- 12:41Yeah, I like to be like one of the first.
- 12:43I get very upset if I can vote.
- 12:45I do. I am.
- 12:46I am registered to vote now.
- 12:48I'm I mean, it's Paul and in Hayes County,
- 12:52where I live up here, because this is my homestead is here.
- 12:56So I can vote in Harris County.
- 12:59I wanted to, but I'm stuck to like my wife.
- 13:02It'll get complicated.
- 13:03I'm going to be accused of voter fraud.
- 13:06I don't want that hassle.
- 13:07Okay.
- 13:08But I have no idea who these people are.
- 13:10We have State Senator Paul Bettencourt on the phone.
- 13:13He has just called in.
- 13:14He's got some breaking news.
- 13:15So we're ... screw their break.
- 13:16Let's talk to Paul right away.
- 13:18Paul, what do you want to say?
- 13:19Well, I can hold the break.
- 13:20No, no.
- 13:21Don't do that.
- 13:21No, we're fine.
- 13:22We can wait.
- 13:23Go ahead, Senator.
- 13:24Okay, guys.
- 13:25What I've got is, we filed a motion to get rid of Carla Wyatt, who is basically a DWI
- 13:35intoxicated treasurer in multiple counties. Wayne knows it because he's been following the story,
- 13:42Craig, like you have been. So Louis LaRotta, who is a resident, filed a petition with the
- 13:50chief administrative judge, and she's accepted it. They're having a press conference at H.R.,
- 13:58at Harris County Republican Party.
- 14:01And there's a code that's on my ex at Team Bettencourt
- 14:06that everybody can go and retweet.
- 14:09And basically it says, yeah, at Team Bettencourt,
- 14:13it's government code 87.013.
- 14:16If you're incompetent, if you've got misconduct,
- 14:19or if you've been intoxicated, okay,
- 14:23you can be removed from office.
- 14:26and by consumption of an alcoholic beverage.
- 14:31Now, this car wreck Carla has had at least four run-ins with the law, two DWIs, a big traffic vendor on 45.
- 14:45She rifled through some parked car looking for money, got indicted, and then Wayne suspiciously unindicted by the DA.
- 14:56Yeah, really weird. So this is an example of the Republican Party having to do something that the Democrat Party, who's the majority party, should have pleased their own.
- 15:09And that's the real problem.
- 15:13So that's going on today at 10 o'clock.
- 15:16We'll have everybody on the amigos later,
- 15:18but I'm just, it's just staggering
- 15:22that you've got just this level of incompetence
- 15:25and corruption in Harris County government.
- 15:27Guys, what do you think?
- 15:28It is amazing first that you said
- 15:29that this is the kind of thing
- 15:31that the left should police itself.
- 15:33They shouldn't encourage their own
- 15:35to go this far down the rabbit hole
- 15:37of disgusting behavior or just completely the type of behavior that should preclude
- 15:42you from the ability to be in an office at all.
- 15:45Most people get fired from their job if they act like Carla Wyatt.
- 15:48Wayne, what do you want to say to this?
- 15:50Look, one or two drunk things, couple of major car accidents, rifling through a car, we're
- 15:58being so judgmental.
- 16:00No.
- 16:01I believe that this motion to remove public officials should happen a lot.
- 16:10I was wanting to do it when Lina Hidalgo did her rodeo nonsense because in competence is
- 16:17a really good word.
- 16:18It's meant to be broad.
- 16:21And I think we should use this all the time.
- 16:24I'm I love that this is happening Paul because this is exactly what we mean by fight fight fight
- 16:32It's it's when we do stuff like this
- 16:34If you idiots are gonna take this woman out and pull her aside and say honey, it's time to go
- 16:42Then we as taxpayers will
- 16:45Hey, by the way, why don't you take a break Chris?
- 16:48unless you got another guest coming right behind me,
- 16:53because Wayne's triggered a memory
- 16:55about how we used to do things in the Republican party,
- 17:00because we used to, and he knows the story.
- 17:03And I'm not sure that, so let's do that.
- 17:06Yeah, let's take a break and we'll come back.
- 17:07So Jack, let's go ahead and fire up the break now.
- 17:10We'll keep the Senator on hold
- 17:11and bring Senator Paul Bettencourt back after this.
- 17:14On KSEV Radio, the Amigos are up at four o'clock today,
- 17:18And it sounds like it's going to be must listen to radio.
- 17:21Right now, you're listening to the Mob Guys
- 17:22on The Voice of Texas.
- 17:29KSEV Radio, this is The Voice of Texas.
- 17:32He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 17:33I am Craig Coglianese.
- 17:34I go by the real last name now, which is still weird.
- 17:37But my cousin is still very happy about it.
- 17:39We were supposed to call Vince Coglianese,
- 17:41but we'll do that at 8.30, because we do still
- 17:44have Paul Bettencourt on, Senator Bettencourt with us.
- 17:46Senator Bettencourt, welcome back to the show.
- 17:48Well, it's the Mod Guys plus the Senators, so it's like the Amigos AM edition.
- 17:54Hey, man.
- 17:55Okay.
- 17:56So you were mentioning before the break a story that you didn't think Wayne had heard
- 17:59before.
- 18:00Well, no, Wayne actually has heard it, but Wayne brought up a point that this should
- 18:04happen more often where public officials that are incompetent or misconduct or in this case,
- 18:12you know, intoxicated get removed.
- 18:15Now, Wayne, you remember that somebody that people liked a lot.
- 18:21Do you remember Chuck Rosenthal?
- 18:22Oh, yeah.
- 18:24Yeah.
- 18:24And I mean, and this was not something that anybody wanted to go do, but, you know, I
- 18:30know that I did and others said, look, I'm sorry, Chuck, you can't run, you know, because
- 18:36there was a, to make a long story short, there was a tranche of documents coming up that
- 18:40you wouldn't want your kids to see.
- 18:41But that was an example of when you had to say, sorry, you can't run.
- 18:49And look, on Team X, on Twitter, I want everybody to retweet this thing immediately.
- 18:54The bottom line is that Carla Wyatt, I mean, the Democrats, the majority, they should have told her not to run the primary.
- 19:01They should have told her, sorry, she's gone.
- 19:03And the new county attorney came in, whatever her name is, she should have filed this motion instead of waiting for the,
- 19:10the minority party Republicans?
- 19:14Wayne, am I missing something?
- 19:16No, you're absolutely right.
- 19:18But it's been a long time since we've had county attorneys
- 19:21or district attorneys, right, that do the right thing, Paul.
- 19:26And that's part of the reason the system breaks down
- 19:29because the local prosecutor is the local lawyer
- 19:32who represents the people of Harris County
- 19:35doesn't have the sense to say,
- 19:37Carla, people make mistakes,
- 19:39weeks, but you are on like a mission to get busted every other week.
- 19:45I wake up in the morning waiting to see the latest Carlo Wyatt story.
- 19:50Well, because she's been busted in like two or three counties.
- 19:54I mean, that's the other thing.
- 19:56You're right.
- 19:56Well, and the breaking into the car thing was the craziest thing to me, too.
- 19:59Like how do you get somebody at a position of power like that who's confused as to what
- 20:04car is hers and well intoxicated breaking into the wrong car?
- 20:08And then Craig, she wants to get a raise.
- 20:11She wants to go from 149,000 to 304,000.
- 20:17Now, amen.
- 20:18It's a great country.
- 20:19It's a great country.
- 20:19I did want to ask you about something else on your on your ex page Senator Bettencourt if you don't mind you said that the
- 20:26State voter registration backlog has been cleared. This is something that you were talking about last week on the amigos
- 20:31Can you give us an update on that story from what people had maybe heard when they were listening last Friday now?
- 20:38Okay
- 20:40short answer
- 20:42Snafu between the DPS and the Secretary of State on motor voter
- 20:48Which is what when you walk in there get your driver's license updated
- 20:53You can say hey, I want to register to vote
- 20:55They had left files because of a software update by vendors and there's problems on vendors with both departments
- 21:02They basically hadn't updated since last year
- 21:05Now what poured out because the new Secretary of State Robert Hall is a good guy found out about it. So he had to kick over
- 21:13500,000 registrations out to the county Wow
- 21:18to fix them and I have to credit, and that Ramirez and actually the people that used
- 21:27to work for me down at the tax office who are still there, they managed to plow through
- 21:32108,000 of them.
- 21:34Fortunately, in this day and time, most of them are electronic, but they got everything
- 21:39on the roll for the election.
- 21:45But it was a close call because, you know, Bexar County just finished this week and this is, you know, you throw half a million voter registrations in the system for, you know, the deadline.
- 21:59It takes real work to get it done.
- 22:01So your voter registrations should be there, and if not, you know, you got to pick up the phone and check it.
- 22:09Yeah. No, awesome. Well, thank you very much for the update on that. Anything else you want to tell us about Senator Bettencourt?
- 22:14No, I just want to say, you know, I'm honored to be on the morning three amigos with the
- 22:20Mod Boys.
- 22:22We can do that.
- 22:23We can do that more often.
- 22:24Maybe when the other guys are out on the amigos, we can come in and talk calls with you.
- 22:28When Paul said the senator, the Mob guys and the senator, he reminded me of the scene of
- 22:35the Godfather.
- 22:35You remember when the senator comes right and Michael wants the gaming license?
- 22:40Yes.
- 22:40He said I'll give you the gaming license if you give me two hundred fifty thousand dollars you little slimy haired
- 22:47Yeah, yeah, I don't like you people you remember that I do remember
- 22:50Michael says I'll give you my answer now
- 22:53Like you're not getting a penny in fact you're gonna pay for my license
- 22:57Yes, and then and then the senator got found in a bed with someone so I'm not I'm not not a bad Paul
- 23:03None of that's Paul
- 23:04I'm not threatening Paul, I'm just saying it's out there.
- 23:08Yeah, okay.
- 23:09Well, you know, as long as we could do it
- 23:11as the corruption fighter as Senator,
- 23:14as opposed to the dead man Senator,
- 23:17because I think he ended up, you know,
- 23:19was he in a dead or not?
- 23:22No, he ended up in bed with someone.
- 23:25You remember like I was like a woman,
- 23:26if she died and he woke up and didn't remember what happened.
- 23:30So he was like, he was toast, right?
- 23:33Senator Bettencourt, this is what I deal with every day.
- 23:36I know this was your idea to pair us together.
- 23:38I just want you to know.
- 23:39It was and I thought it's worth, you know, it's huge, it's beautiful, it's wonderful.
- 23:44It's the greatest I've ever seen.
- 23:46You guys are the greatest my team ever.
- 23:48And just bring that senator in for breaking news.
- 23:51I gotta run.
- 23:52I gotta go do something about what the Ukrainian were.
- 23:55We'll see you later Senator Bettencourt.
- 23:56Thank you for calling in.
- 23:57You have a big breaking news story.
- 23:58We'll probably cover that more today.
- 24:00I wasn't threatening the senator.
- 24:01I was simply just reminding him.
- 24:05What happens?
- 24:06What happens if he comes to us and says he doesn't like the show anymore and one of us is going away?
- 24:12Yeah, the next day he could wake up somewhere and, you know, could be a horse he's got in his head.
- 24:17Yeah, don't do that. Alright, quick break, a lot more KSEV radio, 700 AM, Voice of Texas.
- 24:32That's 281-558-5738.
- 24:37KSEV Radio, 700 a.m.
- 24:41It is the voice of Texas.
- 24:42Thank you to Senator Paul Bettencourt for calling in and giving us a breaking news story here
- 24:46in Harris County.
- 24:47And for that, I apologize to Vince Coglianese, my cousin, who we had to bump just a little
- 24:54bit but was nice enough to say yes and jump on the show anyway.
- 24:58Vince, how you doing, buddy?
- 24:59I'm doing fantastic.
- 25:01How are you doing? We're doing great. The mob guys are doing well today. Although Wayne is complaining about something
- 25:06I know you only know Wayne a little bit Vince, but that might not
- 25:10I said to your cousin. I said why don't I see Vince on our like video live stream?
- 25:22Yeah, I said I want to see would last time you talked to us. You seem distracted and I
- 25:28I think I want, no, I'm just joking,
- 25:31but I want to see whether he's like,
- 25:33was he on the bathroom?
- 25:34Yeah, you want to see him.
- 25:35Is he in the shower doing the show?
- 25:38Is he dressed and naked?
- 25:38So your complaint was that you don't see me in the bathroom
- 25:41and you'd like to, what was that?
- 25:44That's very odd.
- 25:45That's your buddy, bro.
- 25:46By the way, I did tell him that you do a Rumble show
- 25:48and a fancy studio and you're coming off that
- 25:51and then you got your national television show
- 25:53or radio show, so you're probably not in a place
- 25:56where Wayne would have fun.
- 25:58But anyway, how do you want to respond?
- 26:00Would you do a video call with us?
- 26:04Yeah, I'd do a video call.
- 26:05Yeah, of course.
- 26:06No problem.
- 26:06Not today.
- 26:07It feels like short notice.
- 26:08It is.
- 26:09I would do it soon.
- 26:11But you know, actually what happens is, in case you're wondering, if you really want
- 26:14the atmospheric swing, what normally happens when I'm on the phone, I just pace and I
- 26:18run all sorts of divots into the carpets in the house.
- 26:22And that's kind of how it works.
- 26:23Yeah, I do the same thing, by the way.
- 26:25That's nice.
- 26:25You know what I do? I have to go outside and smoke when I get a phone call.
- 26:32I give you the middle of the meeting, phone rings. I need to pair my conversations with
- 26:38the cigarette out in the trailer park where my office is.
- 26:42Yeah. Is this, you know, I, something's been lost. I think something's been lost by a few
- 26:47people smoking. It used to be so cool to take a smoke break because like everybody would
- 26:52go outside, everybody be chatting. Actually, the old school smoke breaks were just indoors
- 26:56where everybody just stayed at their desk. But I just remember maybe 20 years ago, going
- 27:03outside, I was not a smoker, but man, when everybody in the office took a smoke break,
- 27:06I'm like, dude, I'm not missing this conversation. I've got to be there for them. So I'd go out
- 27:11and take a smoke break with them because it was great.
- 27:13Yes. I remember-
- 27:14That's when all the good stuff happens.
- 27:16I remember in college-
- 27:17Yes.
- 27:18I remember when in college, a cute girl asked me to take a smoke break and I've never smoked
- 27:21to cigarette in my life and I was like, yeah, I'll do that at any time.
- 27:25Real quick.
- 27:25Yeah, so cute girls do have that power.
- 27:28They do.
- 27:28They always have that power.
- 27:29Real quick.
- 27:30We were talking about that yesterday, right?
- 27:32I was trying to ask a question about it actually.
- 27:35I'm sorry.
- 27:35Go ahead.
- 27:36I mean, we have Vince for a few minutes.
- 27:37I figured, like Kimberly Guilfoyle, maybe she should come up.
- 27:40Do you have any thoughts on what's going on there?
- 27:43I know that the White House Press Secretary's debut wasn't ideal, but I did think she dropped
- 27:48an actual significant piece of information. And we've seen J.D. Vance talk about this more now.
- 27:54What is the latest, as far as you're concerned, what do you think is going on?
- 27:58Well, a couple things, I guess, two components. The Kimberly Guilfoyle side of things, like,
- 28:03obviously, President Trump and Secretary Rubio thought it was real and serious enough that they
- 28:08asked her to resign. So she's gone now from that role. And so I would say that's a sign of the
- 28:15president's responsibility with these kinds of things and you know when the
- 28:19media is like often they'll get their totally corrupt they do anything to get
- 28:23away with everything they don't care they break laws okay well actually the
- 28:26president looked at this story and said okay the claim is that she was asking
- 28:32for money in exchange for access and and to be clear by the way that apparently
- 28:37the allegations were that all occurred before she was actually confirmed to the
- 28:42role of ambassador, which seems important in the timeline. She wasn't officially the
- 28:47government person yet when these claims are being made, but whatever. The president thought
- 28:51that it was damaging enough and concerning enough. He asked her to leave and she did.
- 28:55So I think it's a sign of him being a responsible leader under those circumstances. And the
- 28:58other side of it, Katie Zachariah, who is now the White House press secretary, I agree
- 29:03with you. I think she had kind of a, she had a nervous first start. She had a very short
- 29:07runway. She arrived there on Monday. She has press conference on Tuesday without
- 29:11the benefit of weeks of prep in order to do that role. She's nervous
- 29:16because it's a big job. I think you'd be nuts. You'd have to be a sociopath not to
- 29:21be nervous doing the White House press secretary job. What it looks like going
- 29:26forward, we'll see. Either she finds her sea legs and she starts doing less
- 29:31nervous and more capable press conferences, or maybe she just starts
- 29:35doing all of this fine-closed doors remember in the first try to get to what
- 29:38the president had
- 29:39A woman who represented him for a while. She never did any press conferences.
- 29:42She just communicated with reporters on email or in person.
- 29:46So we'll see.
- 29:47Yeah. Wayne, were you going to ask Vince?
- 29:49I was just going to say Vince that, you know, I guess you was there on Monday and
- 29:54on Tuesday, but you could do that. You could have done that press conference.
- 29:57Could you?
- 29:58Yeah, because I'm a sociopath.
- 30:01Well, that's really what was the admission I was looking for.
- 30:07See how quickly we can get to what you're digging.
- 30:11But I am one too.
- 30:13But I know a ton of media professionals that could have done that and they still would
- 30:21have given her crap or whatever but could have pulled it off in a lot better.
- 30:24She couldn't say five words without looking down on her paper to make sure that and I'm
- 30:31not trying to be a jerk.
- 30:33I'm really not.
- 30:33I get it.
- 30:34She was thrown in, but you know, I tell people that come to work for me, I'm going to train
- 30:39you for about four hours and then I'm going to throw you in the pond.
- 30:43Have a good time.
- 30:44I mean, you've got to be.
- 30:46Yeah.
- 30:46There's something to that.
- 30:47Definitely.
- 30:48And I think that's a good life lesson.
- 30:49Like always take a little bit more than you actually can handle because then you'll be
- 30:52able to handle that undoubtedly.
- 30:54But you know, look, the reality is she has been a pretty talented advocate for the president's
- 31:00agenda on television in the past.
- 31:01She has.
- 31:01It's not like she's just a rando that they selected, you know, out of nowhere.
- 31:06Hey, honey, you look good.
- 31:08That's a good shot.
- 31:09Well, that's good.
- 31:10Yeah, she cleared it.
- 31:10Look, first of all, the visuals matter.
- 31:14The president's always had an eye for television, and now that works.
- 31:16But this point about her being a verbal advocate for him, she's been doing it.
- 31:21The question is, does she develop enough knowledge and confidence to do it with the biggest adversaries
- 31:26on the planet, which is the American News Bureau?
- 31:28Yeah.
- 31:28I have two more quick topics and maybe we just got to pick one because I want your take on Shane Gillis Vince
- 31:34Because it's becoming much bigger story than I expected
- 31:37I saw the clip I think on Sunday morning because I like Shane and I some of my social media must be
- 31:44Tailored to it and I thought it was funny and then I was like, okay Shane Gillis once again pushed the left on SNL
- 31:49He's hosted three times. They've reacted all three times the same way
- 31:52This one had more legs and Wayne and I played audio from CBS morning news
- 31:58opening like it was a crazy controversy and I think Shane in a podcast said he
- 32:02is not apologizing for what he doesn't deserve to apologize for but yeah but
- 32:07what is your quick take on the Shane Gillis making a joke about women's
- 32:10attire Jim? It's a normal opinion that a lot of people have that he's built down
- 32:17into something really clever and people laughed at it that's a sign of good
- 32:21comedy and and by the way I think I think there are tons of women who
- 32:25responded to it in the same way. But, but regardless, it's a joke and it's actually
- 32:31hysterical. I think the funniest, I think the funniest reaction to this is that now
- 32:36you have all these women who are sending their absolutely most sexualized gym outfits to
- 32:42Shane Gillis as if this will own him. It's like, I'm, I'm, I'm getting back at you. Look
- 32:47at this provocative photo of me. I'm like, I, the psychology of this needs to be studied
- 32:53because it's completely insane.
- 32:54Amen. And Shane Gillis joking about how he's in the background of a bunch of the pictures staring at these women will not be upset by his inbox being flooded with this stuff.
- 33:01Well, he'll benefit from all of this and then the rest of the media, they're just scandal monitoring. They know better. They're actually the media people are way more disgusting than Shane Gillis. A lot of those people are way more disgusting.
- 33:12All right. And I know I don't want to keep you too much longer. But the one last question I do want to ask you about is about Talarico. Talarico did a town hall in CNN.
- 33:18Even some people that Wayne knows that we know that are influential in the Conservative Party locally thought he did well
- 33:26Mostly because it was unfairly easy to him
- 33:29There was a lot of things that would have made it harder that didn't happen
- 33:32But do you think at this point Ken Paxton needs to be debating James Talarico or what do you think?
- 33:38What was your reaction to all that story? I think it'd be fine
- 33:41I think they should do a debate
- 33:42But actually that the Talarico town hall like the guy just spent the whole thing time lying
- 33:47The reason why a conservative might watch that, the reason why a conservative might watch that, I'd be like, I kind of agree with what he's saying.
- 33:53Yeah, because he just made up this opinion last night. He's literally gaslighting you into believing that he supports the oil industry in Texas.
- 34:02The same guy who said that it needs to be destroyed on video.
- 34:06And the guy is lying about his perspective on the Bible. He's lying about the border.
- 34:10He said that ice needs to go away. We need to end the secret police
- 34:14He said and then he stands up there and acts like he supports ice agents. It's Craig. He's a liar
- 34:19So anybody who's watching that gone man, I some of those opinions sounded good
- 34:23Yeah, because he just made them up to suck up to you just before he got on stage
- 34:27Yeah, no, it is incredible Wayne. Did you want to say some else him?
- 34:29No
- 34:30I think with the back to campaign should hire Vince to do the spot that I was arguing that
- 34:35Paxton should be doing in the closing arguments, right? Because the guy is just a bald-faced liar on his record and
- 34:44And I just don't at the very least
- 34:48The attack at kid the last part of this campaign the final thing can't be another
- 34:56It's gotta be you know something
- 34:58You know, I just I'm sorry to interrupt you
- 35:01I just think I'm you guys have obviously talked about the news this week that
- 35:04Talarico's campaign just pulled in $65 million. Yeah. That's the most ready.
- 35:10You ready for this? That's the most that any Senate candidate has ever
- 35:14fundraised in a single corner in the history of humanity. Okay.
- 35:19Are you serious? People have a bad case of the Talarico's.
- 35:23Do you really think that's what's going on in Texas?
- 35:25Everybody's super excited. I got to open up my checkbook for that guy. No,
- 35:28this is a rigged operation. A lot of that money's coming from out of state.
- 35:31Democrats are trying to steal that Senate seat and Texas voters should work their tails off to make sure that doesn't happen.
- 35:37Amen. I know he's got a lot to do so we should let Vince go, but thank you so much as always, Vinnie, for jumping on and being a part of the show with us.
- 35:42Hey, love you, Vinnie. You're the good Coglianese.
- 35:45My cousin, Vince.
- 35:46Love doing it. I'll find a good room to do the video call from.
- 35:49Awesome. Perfect. Vince Coglianese every day from 12 to 1 o'clock right here on The Voice of Texas. Quick break, a lot more on KSEV Radio.
- 36:06Music, KSEV Radio, On the Voice of Texas, I am Craig Coglianese.
- 36:11Thank you to my cousin Vince for jumping in and being a part of the show.
- 36:14We got Wayne Dolcefino, of course as always, as the real legend, the real name of this
- 36:20program.
- 36:21Right, the real legend.
- 36:22I'm like Vince.
- 36:23Is that what you were trying to say?
- 36:24No, no, no.
- 36:25I don't know.
- 36:25I don't know what I'm trying to say.
- 36:26Vinny is making a name for himself, man.
- 36:28He's very talented guy.
- 36:30Yes, and I'd like him and I like the Coglianeses as the general rule
- 36:36I mean I'm big on the fan, but I I've liked him the minute I talked to him because I can and when
- 36:43Although I wasn't just for the record. I wasn't suggesting I wanted to see video on
- 36:49Video on the toilet naked. I wasn't what I was going for. Okay, we know
- 36:55We're not waiting.
- 36:57He went straight for the homo card.
- 37:00He did.
- 37:00He did.
- 37:00And all I was doing was just saying it would be funny to see him and he took it as like
- 37:06some kind of sexual interest.
- 37:08I think he was trying to lean into the joke, but you're right.
- 37:11He took a shot that he maybe didn't need to take, but we'll see him next week.
- 37:14I think we'll set that up.
- 37:15We'll see what he's doing and maybe he will be on the John.
- 37:17Who knows?
- 37:18Look, I like doing the video.
- 37:20I want people to come on.
- 37:22I think people need to see people.
- 37:24Look, I think it's really important.
- 37:29And when Paul called in and said that they were having
- 37:31a press conference at the Republican Party or somewhere,
- 37:35this thing, the Republican Party should be doing
- 37:37press conferences all the time.
- 37:39There should be this nonstop assault by the Republican Party
- 37:47in Harris County, in Fort Bend County, in Montgomery County
- 37:50to say, look at all the stupid stuff they do.
- 37:56That the Democrats are just fine that we have a treasurer
- 37:59who is like on a one woman mission to be like a weasel.
- 38:03Yeah, the drunkest person, yes.
- 38:05She's drunk, she's rifling through cars.
- 38:08I mean, the perfect person to trust the money to.
- 38:13Yeah, right.
- 38:14Right?
- 38:14Of course.
- 38:15You want that, you want the drunk person
- 38:17to take care of the money.
- 38:19Yeah, my drunkest friend has always been the smartest with money. That's been my own life. That's right
- 38:24Because sometimes things we know in life are true in politics to they almost are yeah
- 38:30You don't want to elect stupid people. Yes, you don't want to elect lying people. Yeah, and
- 38:38That's why I was thinking about the Talarico thing was saying he just
- 38:42ball-faced lie about how we... I want oil and gas. Find me a place I can put a drill.
- 38:51I want a drill baby drill.
- 38:54Yeah, well, people who don't know, if they just think we're saying that, I think it was
- 38:58like 2021 or 2022 when he heavily backed and maybe even wrote a bill that was all about
- 39:03climate change and all about like climate protection that would have devastated the
- 39:07oil and gas industry here in Texas.
- 39:09Oh, he loves it.
- 39:10But he not only has voted a certain direction, he has been a sponsor of bills that would
- 39:15go after this kind of stuff.
- 39:17And then for him to say on television in 2026 that he's a big fan of everything is literally
- 39:23insane and yet it's working for some people.
- 39:25Remember that time when they asked him what he thought about and he thought about trans
- 39:28kids?
- 39:29Remember that?
- 39:30Remember when we were talking about that?
- 39:31If you ask him that same question today, he will say, I think about the little boys who
- 39:38are too, that are into everything and playing with trucks and army soldiers.
- 39:46Right? My grandson likes all the army soldiers now, right?
- 39:51Yeah.
- 39:51So we've been buying him army soldiers, right?
- 39:53Although, as I told you before, back in my day, the Japanese people were yellow, right?
- 39:59Well, now the Indian words were red.
- 40:02And the different shades of green now.
- 40:04Yeah, I got you.
- 40:05The Germans used to be gray. Now there are different shades of green.
- 40:08Because you can't offend.
- 40:09Now you shouldn't.
- 40:09You can't suggest.
- 40:10No. None of that.
- 40:11That they're gray people.
- 40:12Right.
- 40:13But I see that and I say, boy, he's old boy.
- 40:15And I think that would be James Talarico's answer today.
- 40:18I think about the little boys playing with tanks and shooting water pistols.
- 40:26You're right.
- 40:27You're right, actually.
- 40:27It's funny.
- 40:28Instead of the answer he gave a while ago where he's thinking about the trans kids,
- 40:31he would absolutely be thinking about the obviously straight, normal, everyday kids
- 40:36that you interact with.
- 40:38The children that are being trained to be toxic, masculine people.
- 40:42No.
- 40:42And I love that and I know a lot of people who've talked about that in their own lives where that message really fails when
- 40:48They look at their own kid their own son their own daughter and how obviously they behave within
- 40:53What their gender is because anyone who's been around a kid?
- 40:56Knows that boys like to punch and roll and and you know do all kinds of stuff and girls are much quieter and much more
- 41:03Subdued in their day-to-day life growing up. Go ahead. I will say also this you were talking about the Saturday Saturday night live thing
- 41:09And I did think, after I got off the show, I'm all wired up, ready to argue my right wing, racist, white masculine pride nonsense.
- 41:23And I mentioned it, and I have a couple of women employees, and one of them is really liberal and one is shorter.
- 41:31And they said, oh, he called all women whores.
- 41:34I said, no, he called all women whores.
- 41:35That's not at all what he did.
- 41:36He was just saying it and they were all denying that they dressed like that.
- 41:42They do.
- 41:42In their leggings.
- 41:43Yeah.
- 41:44To like...
- 41:44They do.
- 41:46I called them liars.
- 41:48They're liars.
- 41:50Yeah.
- 41:50Well, my favorite, I saw a video on social media of someone making fun of the thing and
- 41:54showing like a blue haired, bigger set lady that's obviously upset when she's watched
- 41:59Saturday Night Live at Shane Gillis and then she walks down the street, glances into the
- 42:02mirror or into the window at a gym sees a bunch of women dressed in provocative clothing and calls them all whores because there are a
- 42:08Lot of people who would do that
- 42:09And if you did actually go to a gym and see the type of outfit that Shane was making fun of
- 42:15You might think that someone was I don't know what word you'd choose, but you might think that someone was dressed fairly provocatively at the gym
- 42:22Yeah, yeah, I they were very offended by it. Of course. I'm thinking of myself
- 42:28myself.
- 42:29God, really?
- 42:30But you know what's really interesting to me?
- 42:32Like the thing that I think people aren't really thinking about on that topic, they
- 42:35already don't like Shane Gillis.
- 42:37He's already hosted the show twice.
- 42:38They've already overreacted to other jokes he made and didn't catch fire like this one
- 42:43did.
- 42:43So every part of it, it's the person you know in your life who hates Trump, who hates conservatives,
- 42:49who's waiting for you to say anything that you could possibly say to make them mad and
- 42:54then they'll get mad.
- 42:55But they're mad already.
- 42:56They're just waiting for an excuse to be mad at you and I really think that's what's happened
- 43:00I think that so many people that already hated Shane that already mad at him
- 43:04Wanted a specific joke that they could get someone else to agree. Well, he was a jerk here. He was a terrible person here
- 43:11Yeah, yeah, it's really Trump when Trump tells like these really off-color jokes. Yeah, yeah, and they go crazy
- 43:19Yes, right because it's so how I can't believe he made people have lost their
- 43:25Damn sense of humor.
- 43:27They have.
- 43:28It was a joke.
- 43:29Well, and the funniest part about it too is, and this is my point about who they choose
- 43:33to hate and who they don't choose to hate, Jimmy Kimmel had made a joke about somebody's
- 43:36Jim attire a day earlier on his show and no one cared.
- 43:40A bunch of comedians, I think they're pulling up clips of Dave Chappelle making jokes about
- 43:44how women dress in certain ways and how confusing it is to guys and they like Dave Chappelle
- 43:49right now.
- 43:50So that's okay because Dave Chappelle has broke bad against Trump recently.
- 43:53I thought oh, is that what it is because your pelvis wasn't when I was making fun of trans folks over he was but now
- 43:58He's made fun of Trump enough that I think he I don't know I can never tell I just care. What's funny
- 44:03I don't really care what people think I don't think about like I wonder who's gonna be offended. Yeah, exactly
- 44:08I wonder what side they're on. All right. Well, that's it. That's the whole show the whole show is over
- 44:13It's over. We're done again. We had the senator who's trying to bribe us. Yes. Yeah, that's not what happened
- 44:18We had Vince Coglianese, the big Coglianeses, as I call him.
- 44:24The biggest of the Coglianeses would be Vince.
- 44:26Is that the week's over?
- 44:28Yeah, we're done.
- 44:29Well, we'll see you on Monday, man.
- 44:30Have a good weekend, Wayne.
- 44:31Hey, YouTube brother. Have a good weekend.
- 44:33Have a good weekend, everybody.
- 44:34Yes.
- 44:35As Marvin used to say, good golf, good tennis, whatever makes you happy.
- 44:40Amen.
- 44:41All right, see you guys on Monday.
