- 5:25[SPEAKER_20]: No.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_06]: OK. Well, that's all right.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_20]: Not in retirement.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_06]: So that's OK. You currently work for Assemblyman, Kenneth Blankon, Bush, who's retiring at the end of this year.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_06]: And you want to represent a district that goes from razor, those people don't know where that is.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_06]: All the way down into, oh, what's that lake?
- 5:46[SPEAKER_20]: Vienna, Silver Beach.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_06]: You know, Sylvan Beach, yeah.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, no.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_06]: That's a big includes all of Lewis County, a little chunk of Jefferson, and it's a big area.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_20]: It's a huge area.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_20]: It's a second largest assembly district.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_20]: It's a great district, though.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_20]: It's all rural.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_20]: The only college that's in or higher education that's in that district is actually the Ranger School and the Outer Rondux, which is fantastic.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_20]: And then, you know, every other, there's 49 towns.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_20]: They're all rural.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_20]: Very, very similar despite the four county right now.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_06]: You've been working in Mr. Blank and Bush's office, so you know the area.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_06]: But I mean, when you're, you're after a sort of be acquainted with 49 town boards, that's not easy.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_20]: It's not easy, but it's your job.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_06]: And it is a, it is a job, pays well.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_20]: It pays well.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_20]: So you better be earning it.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_06]: I just, state legislature in the country.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_20]: I believe so.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_20]: Thanks to New York City again.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they're looking out for you.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_06]: Um, what do you think of mom, Dami?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_06]: He's going to be the next governor after Hokali.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_20]: I I do not think well of mundabbing.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, now that governor's race.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_06]: I know you have to mount the party line here.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, but Blakeman's nobody knows who he is up here.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody's seen him.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_20]: So I've met him twice.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_20]: He's very likable.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_20]: He's charismatic, but I think the number one thing, especially as I'm door knocking, is he's got to get up here.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_20]: People have to know who he is, because we have to have Republicans that come out and vote.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_20]: And if they're not excited about who's on the ballot, they're not going to vote.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_06]: So, and that's the problem of yours.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_06]: It's always turnout problems.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_06]: And Republicans who put their safe act sign in the lawn, but then never vote.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_06]: And everybody always says, oh, hoax is going to win because the New York City.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_06]: No, hoax is going to win because 40% of the people appear vote for it.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_20]: And that's what happened with Billy Jones seat.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_20]: You know, we should have had it.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_20]: Our Republicans did not come out and vote.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_06]: Well, there was a fight in the party there with it.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_06]: Well, Clinton County.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_20]: Luckily, I'm on this state level running.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_20]: So I try not to get involved in the local politics.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_06]: But what do you think in New York state?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_20]: I love New York's day.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_20]: I came home to New York's day.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_20]: I lived abroad for a while and Where'd you live?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_20]: Oh gosh, I lived in Hawaii and I That's not a broad that's part of the U.S.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_20]: I know I know but I liked to throw it in there because okay, it's beautiful So I had my son there and then I also lived in Budapest, Hungary and then I lived in You know that guy, which is runs it now one Trump likes
- 8:35[SPEAKER_20]: No.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_06]: Who did that?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_20]: No.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_20]: And then I lived in Tel Aviv.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_20]: I lived in Israel.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_20]: Right during some times where it was.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_20]: Tel Aviv.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_06]: That's interesting.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_06]: You've been around the block as they say.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_06]: Around the world.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_20]: Precisely.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_20]: I have.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_06]: Why are you from originally?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_20]: Adams.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_20]: Adams.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_06]: So.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_06]: What did you do before you got into.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_06]: Blank and Bush is on.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_20]: of writing things, and just so you know, I never had aspirations of working in a political office.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_20]: Okay.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_20]: It's not the wrong one.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_20]: No, not at all, but it wasn't who, you know, where my, I thought my career was going.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_20]: At the time, you know, COVID changed everybody and you had to adjust and adjust your career.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_20]: So I had been consulting until, you know,
- 9:25[SPEAKER_20]: COVID hit and then I worked at a not-for-profit doing use programs and I'm a project manager for grants.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_20]: I do a lot of that and I write them and then
- 9:41[SPEAKER_20]: he lost his chief of staff because Brian was moving on to be the treasure and he asked me and i got to tell you i i loved him i loved what he stood for mm-hmm i said yes and i don't want to brag but i i've been a very very good chief of staff okay well we got questions from people what do you think of the whole wind and solar scam that's going on around uh the area i mean i'm we're covering the landscape with all these things
- 10:11[SPEAKER_20]: uh... i don't know is that a good thing i just think we keep adding to it you know how to stop it i mean all these towns want it because they get a cup of food tax dollars out of it i think a lot of that's changed i'm not sure our towns really want it anymore i think our world towns are tired of carrying the load for the rest of New York state i mean you take towns like harrisburg which is near barns corners they're all over the place
- 10:39[SPEAKER_06]: and then now all of a sudden the big controversy and I know there's two sides to it and I understand it but data centers and I've seen signs of we don't know any data centers in black river I didn't know anybody was putting 41 there but they're all over the country now all the devices we use use them an almond farm uses far more water than a data center according to that site of the ledger so but you've got a governor here who says no data
- 11:08[SPEAKER_06]: Well, up in this area, that might be a nice addition, you know?
- 11:13[SPEAKER_20]: I think it has to be based on communities, you know, my district, the 117th, that would be my district, is far different than say 116th or 115th.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_20]: And you know, we've had a lot of feedback.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_20]: It's not been positive.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_20]: It's not necessarily against data centers.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_20]: It's just our community has,
- 11:34[SPEAKER_20]: really held and done work with solar energy and all of these other things.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_20]: I think that's a lot of the push and I think also you have, you know, AI came fast.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_20]: AI came like the internet and I don't think we were prepared.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_20]: Is it?
- 11:52[SPEAKER_20]: Or, or educated, you know, residents well for that so.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_06]: AI has come to the town of Clare, you mean even those places?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_20]: I bet you it has.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's a way out there.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_06]: All right, so you got a pretty safe seat.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_06]: You're running against this fellow named Dennis Gordon, young man, from out of Fort Drum 25 years old.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_20]: Now soldier, he's a son of a son of a soldier.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_06]: OK, I'm sure a nice man and boy, it's great to see somebody interested at that age because most of him aren't.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_20]: Well, that's told I agree with that.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_20]: You know, my opinion is, and I understand in our parties, we want to put somebody, we don't want to make it easy for somebody to run.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_20]: I think the district, less, is 79% Republican.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_20]: You know, it's a great district to be a Republican in.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_20]: I'm not sure I would have put a 25-year-old young man on a state race.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I don't know.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_06]: probably isn't going to win, but I mean, they don't throw you in jail if you lose, so it's not a bad thing.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_06]: No, but you want to see, you know, young people engaged in, well, they're not, but, you know, you did have a lot of, you're old, you remember when, at least they're fine like ran a 29 or whatever, she went 28 or 22, I don't know what she was, but, you know, she ran and some people thought, well, that's too young, but they got over it.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_20]: at least had a lot of things going for her.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_20]: And you know, I'm not going to get into, you're a opponent, you don't want to talk to her.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I don't, I don't, I'm not saying bad to say about him, but you don't want to say.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_20]: No, you know, in a debate, that's where you bring these things up.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_20]: You're going to debate him?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_20]: Well, if he's online, you got to debate him, right?
- 13:40[SPEAKER_20]: Right.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_20]: We want to know, I'm a constituent of the 117th.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_20]: I want to know if he has an understanding of policies.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_20]: I want to know what his life experiences is representing me in Albany.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_06]: Now some of these other races, some are on a post like Scott Gray is on a post for life.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_06]: You want that?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_20]: Maybe he has.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_20]: He's taken the win.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_06]: He's been granted that, I guess.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_06]: And then there's Walt's like the senator.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_06]: He's got some kind of opponent.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_06]: But I never met her.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I've never met these people.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_06]: I met you because you were a peatress rat and just around.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_20]: I do love peats.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_06]: But there's so many of these people they were on.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not saying I'm important.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_06]: But it's one media outlet, something of an influencer, not huge.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_06]: But they just never even reach out or some, I don't understand it.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_06]: They don't understand politics.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_06]: Politics is about addition and meeting people.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_06]: It's not about, you know, party lying in the heart.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_20]: And it's about accessibility.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_10]: Right.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_10]: Exactly.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_10]: Exactly.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: now you put a sign up at my place on pearls right next to a constant you know say I have room for three there I don't put up as much as I can give you a second no but I you know and the two I have up constant you know when you we're not even in that district you're not but it's on 283 which is a busy road but you know nobody's brought one over for the third position I'm beginning to think walls like doesn't like me
- 15:10[SPEAKER_20]: No, you know, that district's huge.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_20]: I assume he has his hands full.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_06]: Well, okay.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_20]: But I can't speak for other people.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_06]: All right, there you go.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_06]: And then we've got, obviously, that is any of your district coincide with Tanny, a little bit of a little bit.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_20]: A little bit, town of Rutland in particular.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, okay.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_06]: And Rutland is where Jen lives.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_20]: It is, Jan, yes.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_06]: Who is it, Bruce Satton?
- 15:35[SPEAKER_06]: What's she calling it?
- 15:36[SPEAKER_20]: You know, I've known her for, you know, and I'll ages both, but I probably 25 years.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_20]: I'm not sure.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_20]: Our kids, we had kids that were the same.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I was, well, I remember there was a time.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_06]: We used to get along well.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_06]: went to political events at the when uh... staphonic first round then she got mad at me because that race with a judge was a draft smith and uh... you know the mayoral race the three way race and that's when i i really found out he's a mean girl but uh... now i'm back in good stead with her so i like her again she's very vocal uh... i will say she's helped me on my own oh listen she's smart she's a he should be in the car i don't mean to say this because uh... you can't say it but i can
- 16:23[SPEAKER_06]: She should be the county chair not just a school board member in Carthage because you need something that somebody's gonna kick some butt And that hasn't been happening.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, I see they finally finished off the key bank building.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_06]: See that.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_20]: I did.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_20]: I had brown stuff.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_20]: They embraced it.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_20]: They embraced.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_06]: You know who's gonna be in there?
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: Tash.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_06]: Tish change.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_20]: I was excited for a second now.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_20]: I'm just disappointed.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_06]: Not personally.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_06]: But I've actually showed me up for the, uh, who owns that?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_20]: I don't know.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: Or is it, uh, Jake Johnson and Ferris and all those people?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_20]: So this is where I get to say it's in the 116th and not much.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what they're going to do if, you know, they at least the whole fourth floor and we did it.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_06]: So they're making money off them.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm wondering what Tish is running if she comes up for a rip and cutting.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_06]: She's going to have to give Ferris that crowd a hug or something like that's going to be awkward because you're taking money from this woman You know why you're taking money terrible person and you're taking money from taxpayers number one because they the gubernatorial race hoax is going to win but the AG race This James got elected on a platform of I'm going to go get Trump and she instructed her staffers it came out this week to dig up dirt on Trump and his people
- 17:40[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure that's why you're running.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_06]: I'd hate to see somebody run for D.A.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_06]: on a platform.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to get so insane.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_06]: And I mean, if she an evil person in your mind,
- 17:53[SPEAKER_20]: You know, my opinion is, I honestly, my husband and I go back and forth on this sometimes is I don't think anybody, no, oh god, no, okay, don't don't start that rumor.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_20]: I don't think anybody enters, you know, public service because it's not easy and you are out there and people will come to your home and
- 18:12[SPEAKER_20]: the whole nine yards.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_20]: I don't think anybody enters public service wanting to do bad, but I do think people enter public service and forget that they have an agenda.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_06]: Now, she's running against the Ritha Kamicharati.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_20]: Who is phenomenal?
- 18:28[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, who I've seen all of her Facebook videos and I watch them all seems very nice.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_06]: I haven't met her yet.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_06]: She hasn't come here for a long time.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_20]: She's smart.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_06]: She is very smart and she gets it.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_06]: tough to win because even up in Jefferson County or the North country, 38% of the people are going to vote for Chishrings.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_06]: You know, all the people can't in the college people.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's just kind of frustrating in that regard.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_06]: So it's tough to get these people elected.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm voting for I got to sign up for her to, I don't even know who's wanting for a comptroller.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_20]: Oh, a gentleman by the name of her dandis, and he's also bright, but he's not going to be calmed in, happily.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_20]: You know, I can only speak for people who have been members or people I've worked with, you know, somebody once told me that is a high-end account and they said numbers don't lie.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_20]: And so you just present numbers, and I think probably, Mr. D'Napley is in that world of, I could present the numbers.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_06]: Well, he, I'm back when he was a, Assemblyman from Nassau County years and years ago.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_06]: Nice guy of that.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_06]: He's one of the nicest people, and seems very pretty competent in someone.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_06]: Now, wait till he gets finished with the town or water town.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_06]: Redwood's going on there.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's just outside,
- 19:58[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you deal with towns a lot.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_20]: 49.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you look at money, all the money, and going back and forth, and all of a sudden, we find out 2.4 to Jim Wright, and I believe the senator, you know, 2.2 million dollars was taken from the water and sewer funds from districts, and put into, no, it was taken from the general fund, it subsidized the water and sewer funds.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_06]: uh... supervisor right now you know i'm sure he'll be do a good job of identifying the problem but how much of that kind of stuff goes on in all these other towns near they're run by people who they got elected
- 20:43[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, there's no overs.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_20]: Well, there is.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, number one, your voter is the oversite.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_20]: But at the end of the day, there is some oversite on state government level, but it's going to take forever, and it's not going to really impact you.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_20]: I think, you know, despite that, I am a huge advocate for local control on so many things.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_20]: And so, this stuff probably will come up here and there.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_20]: I love the fact that I can say, first of all, you know.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_06]: But if you had it, if it was a town in your district, and suddenly, I assume you have to replenish those water and sewer district accounts.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_06]: somewhere, which means you would have to have a town tax big enough to do it.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_06]: They always brag out there, well, we don't have any town tax, you know, and a lot of these places do because they get a chunk of sales tax.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_06]: But how do you, how do you generate 2.2 million people off that tax base to replenish that fund?
- 21:48[SPEAKER_06]: And then apparently, they must have transferred it because the water and sewer was deficient or the rates were too low, so you got to raise rates there too.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_06]: This is a problem that could end up in your office, if it was a town one not your over.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_06]: Is that a criminal matter or is that just bad management or what is it?
- 22:11[SPEAKER_20]: You know what, I don't even want to say because I think I gotta get Jim right in here.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_20]: I love Jim he was one of the first people who came out and support and listen Jim will tell you the what you know this he'll tell you the way it is like he'll agree with your or you don't but you can still have great respectful I don't know if he's listening but Senator we love to have you in here for a show to explain all of this if somebody's gonna fix a town it's gonna be retired Senator right okay well he's been burdened with that I think he loves it I think he does great job and I think he loves it
- 22:47[SPEAKER_06]: Well, yeah, I saw him at artsy other night, he was out there, but you're like arts or peach better.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_20]: Oh, it's tough.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_20]: I love the old fly away.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_20]: Remember it's the only other actually.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_20]: So I like to get that at arts.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know, what's your favorite restaurant in the 117th?
- 23:05[SPEAKER_20]: Oh, I shouldn't say this.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_20]: Um, steak and brew.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_20]: More than that.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_20]: I just love it.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_20]: They make your Caesar salad in front of you.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_20]: They cook the steak in front of you.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_20]: Is that model builder?
- 23:17[SPEAKER_20]: It's in Turin.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_06]: Turin, okay.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_20]: It's phenomenal.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, we have a lot of great restaurants, but that is my favorite.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_06]: Are you stretched down into Boondville?
- 23:26[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_06]: Forest part port.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know where it is somewhere.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_20]: It's it's right outside.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_20]: It's it's next.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_06]: Eva.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and you have to arrive at the board.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_20]: And Eva and then you got Ann'sville's you know.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_06]: And they'll leave.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_06]: Got to change that one.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_20]: And you got the town of Lee, which, by the way, is a big town for voters.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_06]: And Vienna?
- 23:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_06]: That big.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_20]: That's right on the lake.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_20]: It's a town that has a lot of responsibility because Sylvan Beach is located in Vienna.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_20]: And so, Sylvan Beach, believe it or not, the amount of, like, say, fiery departments that have to be involved in keeping that safe and rescuing people.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_20]: I think probably is,
- 24:07[SPEAKER_20]: at any given time three to six.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_20]: So southern beaches its own world.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_20]: It's like going down to South Carolina, you know?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm, so you've bound to all 49 talent.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_20]: Oh, I sure have multiple times.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_20]: I'm actually getting ready.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_20]: Nobody knows this yet, but I'm getting ready to do, because I want to prove how easy it is to be to 49 towns.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_20]: I do in 49 and 11.7 days starting on Labor Day, just so people can see, yes.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_20]: Well, that's good.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_20]: Well, that's good.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_06]: And you and all of four drummers in your,
- 24:41[SPEAKER_20]: There's a, you know what, there is a sliver of Fort Drum.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_20]: I don't think there's residents in there that I think isn't the 116th, but at the end, at the end of the day, you know, we work together, you know, Assemblyman Gray and I, because, and I hope we're really going to work together and moving forward.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_20]: Fort Drum needs all the representation that they can get.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_06]: And you know what's really a shame.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_06]: Mr. Gray ran a heck of a flower for a lot of you and it was a go-to place whenever you need it flowers midnight and tomorrow was Mother's Day and you forgot yeah you could call him and eat make sure they were there at eight in the morning in North Carolina or something but of course you know I think I think the whole covert thing did a number on that as well as other things but we don't have a real florist anymore I have a couple little ones but I don't even know I
- 25:36[SPEAKER_06]: There's a lady out there who does good stuff.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_06]: Jen something or other.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_20]: I think you're seeing a movement to a different type of florist.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_20]: I think the internet brought us to that where literally you can get on, I'm not a fan of this, but you can get on and have something delivered the next day.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_20]: But you also have a lot of businesses that are small businesses and they may be operating out of their home, still following the rules paying taxes and whatnot.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_20]: But I think it does bring up a different type of small business.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah, so I was sorry to see it go as well, but at the end of the day, I think you've had a lot of people who have been able to bring some different creativity and different business model come back, you know.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_06]: Well, there you go.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_06]: 755-1240 is the phone number.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_06]: We do have a call coming in, so why don't we get ready for that?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_06]: But after you do that on the air, oh, we lost them.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, okay, we got Tammy Neville want to care running for a stumbly.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_06]: Why don't we take a break and we'll be right back.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_07]: LA Glory.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_07]: Crush limestone is what they do, and all their crush limestone is 100% locally sourced from their own quarry at Lafarsville.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_07]: They delivered locally, many times on the same day.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_07]: LA Quarry also does driveways and stone foundations.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_07]: They have the limestone to improve your property.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_07]: Located at 19309 Grove Cemetery Road in La Fargeville, just watch for the huge sign next to the cemetery.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_07]: Ravliot would buy the Thompson family for 35 years.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_07]: Call LA Quarria 315-658-2004.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_22]: You know what?
- 27:06[SPEAKER_22]: Life changes.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_22]: One day, you need something sporty enough for Friday night, then suddenly you need room for a stroller.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_22]: Two kids, some dog, and approximately 900 pounds of hockey equipment.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_22]: A few years later, you're helping somebody move into college, taking the family on vacation, holding supplies for a weekend project.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_22]: That is the beauty of Honda.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_22]: They grow wisssy, Pacific and Accord make the everyday drives feel like anything but ordinary.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_22]: You need a little bit more room.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_22]: You move the HRV or the CRV gives your versatility without feeling over size and then the Honda is getting a little bit bigger.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_22]: The pilot and honesty are ready when your pass is in place starts getting a big deal in the ridge line, that's the Honda pickup truck.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_22]: Feel practical with a little bit of attitude.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_22]: Honda built vehicles from first cars, growing families, busy schedules, big weekdays and everything life throws at you in between.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_22]: I'm not just far, come see me at FXCupera Honda and I'll show you our complete lineup.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_22]: out of Bradley Street in Watertown, just off of I-81.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_22]: Or visit us online at fxhonda.com.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_14]: We all have cans and bottles, so it makes sense to bring them to the make sense redemption center on Loray Street in Watertown.

- 28:35[SPEAKER_11]: North Country winner is coming, but before the snow flies, Burville paving an excavation wants to help you seal the deal.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_11]: If you missed their $250 off celebration in July, September is your final chance to take advantage of special seasonal savings and get that paving project done before another winter takes its toll.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_11]: Because around here, snow, ice, water, and constant freezing and flying can turn driveway problems into bigger driveway problems.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_11]: Whether you need a smooth new asphalt driveway resurfacing, pot-hold repair, grading or commercial bathing, burvil, paving, and excavation knows what it takes to build surfaces that stand up to a North Country winner.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_11]: So, stop saying, we'll do it next year, seal the deal before the snow hits.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_11]: Burville Paving.com for details and do a request to your estimate, or call 315-778-0452, that's 315-778-0452.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_11]: Burville Paving an excavation, get it done now, before winter gets here.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_15]: get into it and you'll be amazed what you get out of it.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, we got to assemble a candidate to have a Tammy Neville want to care.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_06]: It was running in the one 17th, including chunks of St. Lawrence, a little bit of Jefferson, all of Lewis and a bit of O'Neill to counties now represented by a kind of Lincoln Vosho stepping down.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_06]: So you know I ran for assembly once.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_20]: You know what?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_20]: I didn't.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, okay.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_20]: Tell me about that.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it's back when I was involved in the Independence Party, and Norths was still in there.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_06]: I think I remember about that far, but it was getting forgot when he got out, had to be around 92 or 4, somewhere there.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_06]: It was just after I was mayor, so it might have been in 92 or somewhere in that range.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_06]: But, and there was another guy, shavis, do you or something from Shamo?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_06]: He never can't paint, but I got 13%.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_06]: And now those are back in the days when Bob would get huge percentage.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_20]: So he was very, very well-loined.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we cut his percentage down by Gali and then Albertine came along and he ran that close race against the Norths and they had really done the district by then.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_06]: And at that point, I think the Norths decided this was headed ahead of the wrong way.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_06]: So anyway, yeah, he was a great guy.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_06]: He remembered everybody's name.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_06]: and that was always his trademark and so on.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_06]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_05]: Hi, Jeff.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_05]: This is Walter speaking.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_05]: I'm up in St. Lawrence County.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_05]: I'm the guy who told you about the deep block.org website.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_05]: So I've been a, I'm retired now, but I've been in the generation business, power generation business for 35 years or so.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_05]: And the CLCPA is a law that was enacted in 2019 stands for something like climate leadership.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_05]: A stands for protection act or something like that.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_05]: I think.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_05]: The thing.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_05]: But since 2019, the cost of delivery of energy to people's homes in New York State,
- 31:55[SPEAKER_05]: since the CLP CLCPA was enacted as doubled and it's been mainly in the delivery charge.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_05]: And the reason for that is the CLCPA required the utilities to interconnect all these solar farms wind also, but solar farms and they're all over the place, of course, as you know.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, we have like 66% cloud cover in northern and central New York.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_05]: So, they're pretty much worthless, but the interconnection of those facilities fell on the utilities to do it, and they then, of course, petitioned for rate increases to cover the costs of all those interconnections.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_05]: approved them because they just simply proved their costs and they're entitled to right rate of return.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_05]: And so bottom line is the CLCPA is a failure because the state of New York, the New York ISO simply imports power from Pennsylvania in the thousands of megawatts.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_05]: which is being generated by gas-fired plants that sit in close proximity to the shale fields.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_13]: Okay.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_05]: So, K-A mostly energy sells it to us and then our governor, she gets to say, oh, well, we're not using fossil fuels anymore, but the fact is we are, we're just using fossil fuels
- 33:46[SPEAKER_05]: So, it's very aggravating to me.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_05]: The CLCPA is just an abject failure in all respects.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_05]: And it's costing us, as ratepayers, like I said, double what it was in 2019.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_05]: If you went, looked at a trend for New York power prices from $20 from $20.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, 2010.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_05]: The point is, the author creates a two-eye.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_05]: you'll see a dramatic in- Okay, sir, sir, is there a question for the- We need to now.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_06]: I'll have her offer her observations.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_06]: Thanks for calling, sir.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_06]: You're welcome.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_06]: All right, bye.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_06]: All right, obviously, electric bills are too high.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_06]: And this bill, legislation's part of it, probably.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_20]: Well, unfortunately, that group of legislation also affects other things and, you know, I will say because people are going to want to know where I stand on that issue.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_20]: I stand with my constituents, you know, which is a no and we try to fight it.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_20]: A lot of people think because, you know, we're in the majority, it doesn't.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_20]: do any good, but it does.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_20]: We have slowed it down.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_20]: You have things like the school buses that that's part of that legislation where they want them electric, which is absolutely ludicrous in Northern New York.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_20]: So I'm a no, I may repail, I may, you know, the best we're going to get
- 35:17[SPEAKER_20]: and to continue to show, you know, where these downstate Democrats are totally missing the bus.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_20]: They never write legislation that looks at the consequences.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I just, you know what I did today, I've paid the state $300.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_20]: Sorry.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_06]: So I renewed my cigarette permit for next year.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_06]: We don't sell a lot, but I keep in there as a convenience.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_06]: And we do it on legit, we get them, you know, where you should get them.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_06]: But it kind of gets me, we got to sell cigarettes for 16, 17 bucks a pack when somebody up the street, can sell tax, free ones for five bucks a pack.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_06]: And nobody seems concerned about that, you know, I mean, the state police do nothing, the administration and all that he does, nothing.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's how many expect small business to survive, whether it's a 7, 11 store?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't affect me that much, I don't do that much, but it's still an oisment.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_20]: It's the enforcement, so we have the laws in place, but New York State does not put measures of enforcement in there, and we've seen that also, which probably is the real reason I got involved in
- 36:26[SPEAKER_20]: the state legislator is because I was fighting the vapes and the flavored vapes and how that they're illegal in New York State, but yet they were in every single gas station.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_20]: They were in every single, you know, one of these...
- 36:42[SPEAKER_20]: numbers that would pop up and sell to kids.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_20]: And so it's the same thing.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_20]: They are illegal.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_20]: They should not be doing it.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_20]: They should be.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_20]: And if they are selling it, we should be getting tax money.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, we tax everything else in New York State.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_20]: But it's the enforcement mechanism.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_20]: That's the problem.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_06]: The other thing about taxes and the gentleman brought up utilities.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_06]: Now, you know I have a business small business on Pearl Street.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_06]: And I live
- 37:10[SPEAKER_06]: So I get a couple of electric bills every month.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_06]: And on the one I get at home, there's 5% sales tax.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_06]: No, I don't.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_06]: It's an necessity.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_06]: It's shouldn't even be charging at.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_06]: But on the business, it's 11%.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_06]: Did you know that?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_20]: I did not.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_20]: OK, I knew it was high.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_06]: And of course, if you were to ask Kathy Hockel, she's why it's that way, she'd say, well, because we can.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_06]: And if you ask Montgomery, it's because the corporate billion
- 37:40[SPEAKER_06]: So, it's a big burden, especially when electric bills get bigger and larger and larger as they have lately.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_06]: But I remember when it was 10, and one year, a couple of years ago, they slipped something to make it 11, because that's one of those budget things that nobody pays attention.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_06]: So, unfortunately, you can't un-ring that value.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_06]: You'll never get those kind of things repealed.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_20]: You'll never see a repeal.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, that's just how it operates.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_20]: There's so many egos involved, but what you will see are amendments.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_20]: I think we are in big trouble in regards to businesses leaving.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_20]: I think many people have said that.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_20]: And I think the problem is we know the big business is leaving, but then we're gonna have small businesses like yours that are also footing the bill.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_20]: I am not sure where
- 38:31[SPEAKER_20]: downstate Democrats and even upstate Democrats feel that taxing and mistreating and putting all these regulations and mandates on businesses is going to actually benefit anyone because it's just- What's easy money?
- 38:48[SPEAKER_20]: It's easy money.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_20]: It's short-term easy money.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_20]: It's just going to raise our taxes.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_20]: It's taxpayer money.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_06]: All right, we have a call coming in.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_23]: Yes, I have a question for this one.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_23]: What is she going to do if she is elected to lower the gas and elected bills for the senior Susan Jefferson County.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, thank you.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_06]: I guess we just were sort of talking about that.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_20]: No, it's a great question.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_20]: We're going to continue to fight the public service commission as a huge issue.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_20]: But, you know, I don't, I'm a very honest person.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_20]: I don't like it.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_06]: It's more like it's the utility service commission.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_20]: Oh, it's the government or hopeful commission, but you know, I try not to ever make promises that I know cannot be met.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_20]: I think we can fight it and slow it down from from additional taxes and from additional mandates, which is one of the reasons why we're paying, you know, more.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_20]: But at the end of the day, your public service commission is actually, you know, appointed by the governor.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_20]: So it takes a different governor in order to change that.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, and we're not likely to get one.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_20]: I hope Republicans come out.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_20]: I do.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_06]: We'll find out.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_06]: We got another call.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_06]: But after doing her on the air.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_04]: How you doing, sir?
- 40:14[SPEAKER_06]: Good.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_04]: I've got a couple of questions.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's in regards to you talking about the ZA and the illegal cigarettes.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_04]: Why is it okay for all these smoke shops to even be open and existing?
- 40:32[SPEAKER_04]: And selling all these illegal items, but the guy and they have a different set of rules, but you set up all these legal boards or the government sets up all these legal boards now.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: to go in and bust these different nationalities that are running these stores when the guy next to you he's been in business for years and he's paid the price the licensing fees and you know he's he's a bite by the rules and if he didn't bite by the rules the state cops and police would come in and grab him or take him through him and jail I just think it's a different set of rules that they're following out there and all right thank you well that's what we just
- 41:13[SPEAKER_06]: Two sets of rules in there, you're.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah, I mean, the assembly in the Senate are part of, you know, making laws and then helping constituents and then come back to the district and small business is part of that.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_20]: I think we do not have enforcement mechanisms in place.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_20]: We, it, it takes, well, I don't know if I want enforcement mechanisms, but you don't need it.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_06]: No, but why not have, well, they're always out doing their little sting operations.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_06]: They'll go to 16 stores, all in compliance, spend a ton on overtime, and call it a day, but they do nothing with anyone else.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not looking to shut down the other people.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_06]: They're making money too.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_20]: But, you know, it's just, I think leveling the plane feels for everybody.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_06]: Like here's something, this just happened to come across on my phone from New York State.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_06]: Today in New York, New law ensures cosmatality students receive training to work with
- 42:15[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I don't know, you know, these different air types, but now you got to get training in all of them.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_20]: And I'm going to just take a guess here, you also probably are going to have to pay to get that certification.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_20]: I'm just guessing.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_06]: But this is from the New York Department of State, so it's not like, uh, whatever.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_20]: Let's make it harder to actually go out and do.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_06]: Now the picture that you've done in this thing is, that's corn row, isn't it?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_20]: like our standard business are listen I get my hair done I mean my hair is not 100% natural everybody would know I should be grayer but at the end of the day you go to who can you know do your hair well and then we all make that decision.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_20]: You know, if you're if you're balding you're probably not going to the same person that somebody, you know, a young man with a whole had a hair.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_20]: I think they just think that we're idiots, unfortunately, and upstate New York, and Northern New York, and, and want to just take every decision away from us.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_20]: And that is too much government.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_20]: That's got to stop.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_06]: Already, 75, 5, 12, 40 of the phone number took time out for a message to be right back.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_10]: Yet now he claims he'll stand up to her, Jen to be in a tax local workers, calling them lazy and drunk.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_10]: He even mocks local correction officers, viciously claiming they have no self work, Anthony Constantino is different.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_10]: He built his business right here in upstate New York and created a thousand good-paying jobs.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_10]: He funds his own campaign with absolutely no special interest and no strings attached.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_10]: Anthony will fight corruption in both parties, cut our taxes, secure the border, defend the Second Amendment, he'll protect our farms and forked road.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_10]: Anthony will fight for our veterans and answer to no one but you.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_10]: He's nobody's man but yours.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_15]: I'm Anthony Garzantino and I approve this message.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_10]: Hate for by Constantino for Congress.

- 46:21[SPEAKER_13]: E&Venergy.com
- 46:35[SPEAKER_15]: the news in talk authority.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, we're talking with Tammy Neville on it to assembly candidate in the 117th.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_06]: Now you're district is massive and it does touch our night of lake, but it doesn't touch the lake of America.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm wondering whether do you agree with the president renaming Lake Ontario the lake of America?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_20]: I'm running for a state government and I think we have so many other things to worry about.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but that's not what I ask you.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, that's
- 47:03[SPEAKER_20]: do you think it should be like Ontario or like Lake of America what do I think I you know what I would have kept it like Ontario just because it's not really Lake of America now is it just because he said so they're having a big fight it's something and at that point but at the end of the day my job isn't to tell you what I think my job is to tell you what my constituents think.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, no position on Lake of America.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_20]: I don't.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_20]: There's too many other issues.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_20]: They'll figure it out.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_06]: Now, what if we wanted to rename other things in your district?
- 47:40[SPEAKER_20]: I think that there's too many other things that he's not even going to get to that.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_20]: If he's starting to, you know, come down.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_20]: What about this thing?
- 47:47[SPEAKER_06]: Are there's whole trade war with Canada?
- 47:50[SPEAKER_06]: Um, words have gotten pretty harsh.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think that's good for the North country, isn't.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_20]: I think what President Trump has been able to do is see a bigger picture because of his business background.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_20]: I think, you know, unfortunately what happens is we get hit hard, you know, maybe on our small businesses and there are a lot of them I talked to on a regular basis.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_20]: And so we're trying to weather it, you know, and we're trying to figure out ways to assist them and they're trying to weather it as much as they can.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_20]: But, you know, I'm definitely, I grew up here, I grew up going to Canada and vice versa.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_20]: So, I look forward to a lot of things being resolved soon, just so our way of life kind of returns a little bit.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_06]: Now, in your area, there's probably some of the sheriffs who are mad about this ice law where you can't.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_06]: They're not allowed to assist ICE, if they have somebody in their jail with a federal warrant, they're not allowed to notify ICE and have them wait at the doors, in essence what it is.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_06]: And I assume you disagree with that, but you're not going to change that.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody kind of folded on it.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_06]: They're in court over it, but you really think you're going to win in the court of appeals in New York.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_20]: No, but you, I got to tell you, I, a hundred percent respect that.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, they are law enforcement.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_20]: They know their job.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_20]: And honestly, I do not understand the reasoning of why we would not hand over a criminal.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_20]: You know, the misconception was, is we're just handing over any well.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_20]: Well, no, it's somebody who is a criminal for ICE to intercede.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_20]: And I'm sure that, you know, both parties are going to go back and forth on that.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_06]: But my understanding is that if
- 49:46[SPEAKER_20]: if a sheriff just decided to do it anyway that under article 13 or something of the state constitution a governor could just remove him you know honestly Jeff she's so confusing half the time i can't keep it straight what article she's pulling up and whether or not it will actually work okay you've met her i've not you've never met governor and i honestly have not sought to meet her well i mean she's
- 50:17[SPEAKER_06]: Time sign matter back when I was married.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_06]: She was pleasant.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_20]: She might be pleasant, but she's horrible to the North Country and the Mohawk Valley horrible.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_06]: Really, in one way.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_20]: Because she's signing off and encouraging all of these mandates, you know, I listen to her the other day talk about the whole correctional situation and how disappointed she was in our correctional officers for walking off the job.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_20]: And it just became about her.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_20]: Like, oh, what was me?
- 50:49[SPEAKER_20]: And it did not become about the conditions were so bad that people lost their jobs, left their jobs, and still are having to work.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_20]: You know, if they stayed, they're having to stay and work seven days a week.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_06]: Now, there's an assembly member of your Met Carl HD to speak with.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_06]: What's he like?
- 51:10[SPEAKER_20]: I like him.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, you know, I mean, I'm not talking policy, but.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_20]: He's respectful that I have seen.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_20]: I've seen him operate with our leader, when it was leader Barclay, and it was respectful, both of them.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_20]: And I've seen him operating with the new leader, raw.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_20]: I think they operate well by still representing what they believe in in their constituents.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_20]: I think the interesting thing is going to be.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_20]: The socialist rising, if we get a socialist as the new Carl Hesty, we're in trouble.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_20]: And so will they need Republican votes to be?
- 52:04[SPEAKER_06]: Mr. Momsdami was in the assembly, right?
- 52:07[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah, look up his attendance record.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_06]: Did you ever know him there?
- 52:10[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_20]: Or cousin ever came?
- 52:14[SPEAKER_06]: But did your boss know him at all or?
- 52:17[SPEAKER_20]: I actually don't think he ever personally met him because he never came.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_20]: I honestly look up the record.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_20]: It's horrible.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so you're going to have a new assembly, the Senate.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_06]: But the Republicans are not going to gain any of their body already, maybe.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe a seat here and there, but you know, I can remember when the Republicans control the assembly.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_20]: Oh well.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_06]: and Perry Durier was the speaker.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_06]: I think he was from Long Island.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_20]: A stating yourself.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_06]: It is, but it was, and of course, we all remember when the Republicans controlled Senate, it was Senator Bruno who was in charge.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_06]: Those bodies of both flips so far, it's a hundred and forty-two Republicans out of 150.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_06]: 43 maybe.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_06]: Oh gosh.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_20]: No, no, no, not what do you mean?
- 53:09[SPEAKER_20]: Out of the assembly?
- 53:10[SPEAKER_20]: Oh gosh.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_20]: No, we have, I know we have, I think, 13 turning over.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_06]: No, but I mean, a total number of Republicans, 140 something.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_06]: So they have a veto-proof majority.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_06]: And then over in the Senate, same thing.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_06]: What
- 53:34[SPEAKER_06]: and then just lose it by a lopsided margin.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_20]: I don't know.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_20]: I mean, I'd like to say I know what happened, but I don't think it's how hard the Republicans work.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_20]: I think they work incredibly hard.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_20]: And I think we have to work better.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_20]: I think probably retired center, right, could maybe answer that.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we hope to get him in there.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, a great reason for him to come in.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_06]: All right, we're going to do a break and we'll be back with more.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_17]: Some businesses invest in their online presence.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_17]: Others apparently declare war on their customers.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_16]: At badwebside.com, we believe websites should take as long as possible to load.

- 54:37[SPEAKER_16]: We believe customers should have to work hard for basic information.

- 54:46[SPEAKER_17]: Your website should build trust, not test patients.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_17]: Let Confluent help you create an online presence customers actually want to use.

- 57:07[SPEAKER_15]: It's all you need to know.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_06]: We're back with Tammy Navalonic.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_06]: We was a assembly candidate here in the 117th.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_06]: Let's, you know, Mayor Ron McDougal.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_06]: He listens to the show every day.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_06]: Have a governor or Democrat, but he's been there forever.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_06]: And you get along with people like that.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_20]: Of course, he's one of my constituents.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, OK. You like governor or anything?
- 57:34[SPEAKER_20]: I do love, I love governor or my mom helped open that prison.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_20]: And so I, so you have a prison.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_06]: How many prisons in a district?
- 57:43[SPEAKER_20]: going to work.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_06]: And somebody got beat up there the other day.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_20]: He did.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_20]: He did.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_06]: What's the deal there?
