- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:58Speaker 3: All right, welcome back again, Howard number two of O
- 1:01Speaker 3: T B. Matt Alandra kJ Jake, all here with you.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Weird to hear you call me Matt jes say when
- 1:19Speaker 2: we can get back to you? Yeah, like you are?
- 1:21Speaker 2: You a lot of things? I call you Clayton. I'll
- 1:24Speaker 2: just take with one. Yeah, just never the standard Matt
- 1:27Speaker 2: a lot. Just start pointing out. I mean, that's right.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It wasn't like her shattering. It's a throwaway comment.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Would you like me to call everybody by their middle
- 1:40Speaker 3: name to make you feel more comfortable?
- 1:41Speaker 4: They called you something different?
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, call it wonder. Hey, Hey, who's the now? Calandra?
- 1:50Speaker 5: Still you he at least knows I don't have a
- 1:53Speaker 5: middle name.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I told you it's too much pressure. I'm monkey. You're right,
- 1:59Speaker 2: my loan, that's correct.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Malone is crazy, alright, the original Malone it is.
- 2:08Speaker 4: It's m hmm, well done. It is time.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Oh wait, I forgot it.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Wait, I forgot we were doing this here let me
- 2:15Speaker 6: pull up the We haven't done this in so.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Long, I'm prime time and already messing this up. Okay, well,
- 2:22Speaker 5: y'all stall.
- 2:22Speaker 7: While I get it obviously, do you tell the people
- 2:26Speaker 7: what we're what they used to do, like, you know,
- 2:28Speaker 7: stall like at the theater, just like do a little
- 2:30Speaker 7: dancing a little song back in the day.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yeah, a little bing Crosby Holiday and we start tad
- 2:36Speaker 3: dancing like and just do their arms like this.
- 2:39Speaker 4: That's what stalling was like.
- 2:42Speaker 6: We literally just said that we were going to do
- 2:44Speaker 6: this and already forgot. I think I have undiagnosed squirrels. Yeah, everybody,
- 2:53Speaker 6: y'alls is diagnosed.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Mine gotta get diagnosed mine.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Okay, here we go. I can't wait.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Wait, Delra, that's so good. I miss that.
- 3:07Speaker 6: So we're bringing back Dear Delandre for one day only.
- 3:12Speaker 6: And because I got a good question from a listener,
- 3:15Speaker 6: he messaged me on Instagram to our.
- 3:17Speaker 4: To the off the bench my Instagram.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Okay, well I didn't see it till yesterday, but he
- 3:29Speaker 6: wants TMO TV's advice shout out JD.
- 3:32Speaker 5: I don't know what his real name is.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Okay, so yeah, so JD's question is and I'm going
- 3:38Speaker 6: to pose this to y'all.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Two because y'all know more about this than I do.
- 3:42Speaker 6: The current Okay, So basically, kid plays six to you and.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Six to you baseball. So this is the message.
- 3:52Speaker 6: The current coach we want to step down is now
- 3:55Speaker 6: asking if anyone is interested in summer league. Everyone is,
- 3:58Speaker 6: but not with him as the coach.
- 4:00Speaker 5: It sicks you.
- 4:01Speaker 6: He's too serious. His kid never takes his turn on
- 4:04Speaker 6: the bench or play a different position, and yells at
- 4:07Speaker 6: the kids and may or may not apologize to them
- 4:10Speaker 6: after the fact.
- 4:11Speaker 5: It depends.
- 4:12Speaker 6: How do we tell him we would all like to
- 4:14Speaker 6: play as a team this summer as we have been
- 4:17Speaker 6: for the past two years, but without him as a coach.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Signed, we're just here to have fun.
- 4:23Speaker 8: We're just takes the coaches, and this is this is
- 4:26Speaker 8: about you, not the coach.
- 4:27Speaker 6: I know that's a good sign off. Signed, We're just
- 4:30Speaker 6: here to have fun. So six you coach takes it
- 4:33Speaker 6: a little too serious.
- 4:35Speaker 4: I don't have one of those ages.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Say asking around.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you from my experience, and then Matt
- 4:40Speaker 3: you can go here. My experience is something like this.
- 4:45Speaker 3: You can't try to tap dance around it. Yeah, you
- 4:50Speaker 3: can't do that.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Do that.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Coach is not going to pick it up. He's just
- 4:55Speaker 3: not going to. Like you can almost you can almost
- 4:58Speaker 3: basically tell him without telling him, and he's still not
- 5:00Speaker 3: gonna pick it up. He's gonna keep playing his son.
- 5:03Speaker 3: His son's probably gonna hit lead off, his son's probably
- 5:05Speaker 3: gonna play shortstop, and that's just going to be the case,
- 5:07Speaker 3: right right, wrong or indifferent and sometimes, like like with
- 5:11Speaker 3: our baseball coaches, like our kids, like sometimes at last
- 5:18Speaker 3: or civil events because it's like easier if it's like
- 5:20Speaker 3: your kid to do so, but like if your kid
- 5:23Speaker 3: never sits and people like hey, like you know, should
- 5:25Speaker 3: take some turns here, like there should be like a
- 5:27Speaker 3: little certainly sixs.
- 5:29Speaker 4: You you can't.
- 5:31Speaker 3: You got to just tell them you got to rip
- 5:32Speaker 3: that band aid off right now and be like, hey, coach,
- 5:35Speaker 3: you know we appreciate you giving up your time. We
- 5:38Speaker 3: know you don't get paid for this, we know it is,
- 5:40Speaker 3: you know, voluntary.
- 5:40Speaker 4: But also.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Where we're at as a parent group, we're looking for
- 5:46Speaker 3: something a little bit different.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:48Speaker 3: We'd love for you to be a part of the team.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Little Johnny can still play, but we either got to
- 5:53Speaker 3: have somebody new in here, or you gotta have somebody
- 5:55Speaker 3: that's basically right there alongside you to calm you down
- 5:58Speaker 3: a little bit here if you tap dance around that,
- 6:01Speaker 3: in my experience, that person is only going to do
- 6:04Speaker 3: the same things, and then he's probably gonna pick up
- 6:06Speaker 3: on it and only like go all in, dive all.
- 6:09Speaker 4: In even more so on it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: So I feel like you got to rip the band
- 6:13Speaker 3: aid off, certainly if it's like twelve people on team
- 6:16Speaker 3: and ten of them are like, we ain't doing this anymore.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Because if it's ten of you saying we ain doing
- 6:21Speaker 3: this anymore and he gets mad, you make a new
- 6:25Speaker 3: team with the ten.
- 6:26Speaker 8: Yeah, so it's gonna sounds like a great third base coach,
- 6:31Speaker 8: I say, first.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Base first base coach.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Maybe maybe he might have sabotage giving the signs on
- 6:36Speaker 4: third base.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, maybe for a small school JV team first
- 6:41Speaker 2: base coach.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Okay, just straight up to be like, bro, you're doing
- 6:46Speaker 5: too much. I'm not like.
- 6:48Speaker 2: This is a this is a very good question, and
- 6:50Speaker 2: it's a it's a it's a question that encompasses a
- 6:53Speaker 2: lot with like youth sports, and I probably fall on
- 6:56Speaker 2: away far side on this whole on the spectrum of
- 6:59Speaker 2: his are is like how I feel about youth sports
- 7:02Speaker 2: should be handled, And it's probably not the same opinion
- 7:05Speaker 2: that a lot of people have. Like I think kids
- 7:09Speaker 2: should play a ton of different sports. I don't think
- 7:11Speaker 2: they should be invested in one sport at a time
- 7:14Speaker 2: and play a billion games a week. I think people
- 7:17Speaker 2: should always relax. Nobody's going a scholarship until you're in
- 7:22Speaker 2: high school.
- 7:22Speaker 5: I mean you, like, they're little, So this.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Is kids that are six years old and under par
- 7:29Speaker 2: the name six youth. Now, if he's yelling at kids,
- 7:36Speaker 2: then it makes the conversation really easy, Like, don't yell
- 7:39Speaker 2: at these kids. They're six, Like, I get it. There's
- 7:42Speaker 2: got to be a time where discipline takes place, and
- 7:45Speaker 2: a coach, it's a coach's job to instill a little
- 7:48Speaker 2: bit of discipline and a little bit of but it's
- 7:51Speaker 2: not at bad time.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Right, right, more fundamentals.
- 7:56Speaker 2: But there's also like I hate like confrontational situation. Their
- 8:00Speaker 2: strength in numbers too. If like unless, unless you're the
- 8:03Speaker 2: only parent thinking this, then it shouldn't be all on
- 8:05Speaker 2: your shoulders, Like everybody should get together and be like, hey, coach,
- 8:09Speaker 2: you gotta change it. Or we got to change you
- 8:11Speaker 2: like we want to all stick together, but like we
- 8:13Speaker 2: got to. We got a handful of coaches that will volunteer.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You can coach with them if you want. But parents
- 8:19Speaker 2: take youth sports so seriously that it is it's maddening
- 8:26Speaker 2: to me a lot of times. Yeah, Now, I get it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You want the best for your kids, and if they
- 8:31Speaker 2: love something you want to you're passionate about it, and
- 8:33Speaker 2: their passion your your passion. I get all that, and
- 8:36Speaker 2: at a certain time that it's all okay, But it's
- 8:39Speaker 2: not at six to you, and it's not at eight you,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and it's probably not at TENU. Now the discipline and
- 8:44Speaker 2: the yelling, like you got to yell at some kids,
- 8:46Speaker 2: Like I think when we were coaching it was like
- 8:48Speaker 2: when when Huck got eight years old, I was like,
- 8:50Speaker 2: all right, hey, parents, this is the expectation we're we're
- 8:53Speaker 2: in third grade. Now it's eight, Like these are the
- 8:55Speaker 2: things I'm going to discipline on, and these are the
- 8:58Speaker 2: things I'm not going to discipline on. And like you
- 9:00Speaker 2: make it clear as a coach, like hey, if they're
- 9:02Speaker 2: not listening, they're gonna get disciplined. If they're not paying attention,
- 9:05Speaker 2: if they are being lazy, if they're not hustling in
- 9:08Speaker 2: between the lines like these are all the things. It
- 9:10Speaker 2: has nothing to do with if you can catch or
- 9:12Speaker 2: not catch, or throw or or pull a flag or
- 9:15Speaker 2: make a catch. It has nothing to do like physical abilities.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But yeah, you gotta just honestly is the best, the
- 9:23Speaker 2: best medicine here. You just gotta tell like, coach, what
- 9:25Speaker 2: you're doing is ridiculous and I don't want you coach
- 9:27Speaker 2: with my kid. Uh.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I do find that a lot. And you creak me
- 9:31Speaker 3: if anybody crick me. If if you'll have a different
- 9:34Speaker 3: you know, take on this. But if you have the
- 9:38Speaker 3: guy who's living through his son because of what he
- 9:41Speaker 3: wasn't able.
- 9:42Speaker 4: To do sometimes, will you get that a lot?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Man?
- 9:46Speaker 4: I'll tell you what like the best youth coaches.
- 9:48Speaker 3: And look, I am not I promise you when I
- 9:51Speaker 3: say that, I am not saying you had to play
- 9:53Speaker 3: professional sports to be a good youth coach.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Absolutely didn't have to.
- 9:57Speaker 3: But there's some guys that can do it because is
- 10:00Speaker 3: they want to better their son, our daughter and their friends,
- 10:04Speaker 3: and they do a great job of doing it.
- 10:06Speaker 4: There's some, and I.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Would say a majority, that are trying to live through
- 10:12Speaker 3: their son, our daughter and do too much, do too much.
- 10:22Speaker 3: The you know, the ones that I've been around, they
- 10:26Speaker 3: have played professional sports or they played at a very
- 10:29Speaker 3: high level, you know, played throughout high school and like
- 10:32Speaker 3: have an understanding the game. The ones that are the
- 10:34Speaker 3: worst ones are the ones that played on their JB
- 10:37Speaker 3: team their senior year. Like, those are the worst ones.
- 10:42Speaker 3: And they're like and they're and they're and they're giving,
- 10:45Speaker 3: like they're giving their opinion, and I'm like, why are
- 10:50Speaker 3: we asking for that person's opinion? Like, no offense to
- 10:53Speaker 3: that person, but they never did it at any level,
- 10:59Speaker 3: and they're just yelling at these kids to do what
- 11:01Speaker 3: they never did. That bothers me to no end, Like
- 11:05Speaker 3: we're asking a guy that quit baseball his sophomore year
- 11:07Speaker 3: in high school how to do it because he is
- 11:10Speaker 3: yelling at these seven, eight, nine, ten year old kids
- 11:13Speaker 3: and the guy never did it hisself, Like right, what
- 11:15Speaker 3: do we So it's never right, but especially when that
- 11:19Speaker 3: person does, I would just have.
- 11:20Speaker 6: To coach my own kid because you are You're not
- 11:22Speaker 6: about to yell at my kid like that when they're
- 11:25Speaker 6: six years old.
- 11:25Speaker 2: They want put everybody in a bubble. There's plenty of
- 11:27Speaker 2: coaches out there that I've seen that's saying that that
- 11:30Speaker 2: didn't play like you don't have to play at a
- 11:32Speaker 2: certain level.
- 11:33Speaker 4: But those coaches aren't the ones.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Usually the ones that about things, they never Usually the
- 11:37Speaker 2: ones that are a problem have those similarities. But it's
- 11:40Speaker 2: not all of them something that we're We're not trying
- 11:43Speaker 2: to wrap everybody in a bubble. But anybody that's got
- 11:46Speaker 2: a kid that's been out to the park, they know
- 11:48Speaker 2: exactly what we're talking about.
- 11:50Speaker 4: So you gotta just grow men that are ruining the
- 11:53Speaker 4: sport of baseball.
- 11:54Speaker 8: Matt suggested the entire parents corner of this guy in
- 11:57Speaker 8: the parking lot.
- 11:58Speaker 2: He said, earlier strength of numbers.
- 12:00Speaker 8: If we get the entire go and just beat the
- 12:02Speaker 8: crap out of parking lot intervention.
- 12:05Speaker 3: The coach walks up. He thinks, oh, y'all know about
- 12:08Speaker 3: my drinking problem. No, coach, we know about your coaching problem.
- 12:11Speaker 2: They care about the drinking.
- 12:14Speaker 8: We're not here about the drinking problem. We're not here
- 12:16Speaker 8: to talk about you hooking up with Tammy Lynn. We
- 12:17Speaker 8: got a problem about the coaching here. Okay, the old
- 12:19Speaker 8: double definitely been around.
- 12:21Speaker 2: The team goes around that diamond she does offer him
- 12:27Speaker 2: a buy out, maybe get him like, uh, like a
- 12:30Speaker 2: gift card Chili's or something, best bro.
- 12:35Speaker 5: I love chili.
- 12:36Speaker 2: That would slop. Tell me it's about the kids though.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Look you give me a you know, a nice Chili's
- 12:41Speaker 3: gift card, I might turn a blind eye.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I would.
- 12:44Speaker 8: He kind of answered his own question in the in
- 12:49Speaker 8: the message like g D, thanks for the thanks for listening.
- 12:54Speaker 5: As for the question, yeah, I probably whatever. We just
- 12:57Speaker 5: did it for him.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Just men up to Yep, you got to actually get
- 13:02Speaker 2: a phone, have the coach call into this talent and
- 13:05Speaker 2: we'll tell him, lilip, here's the kids.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Here's the thing that this conversation is really making like
- 13:19Speaker 3: me want to do it. Stop catering to these people too,
- 13:21Speaker 3: Like that's another portion that's a problem.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Is you, like you cater to a coach like.
- 13:28Speaker 3: That because you're like you're nervous about what's going to happen,
- 13:30Speaker 3: Like this person he's kind of nervous.
- 13:31Speaker 4: About, like hey, how do we do? Like you cater
- 13:33Speaker 4: to that person?
- 13:34Speaker 3: All it's the person who their mom or dad call
- 13:37Speaker 3: after every single tournament and they're like, why is the.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Little Johnny doing this? Or why is he not doing that,
- 13:41Speaker 4: and it's like.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Once you stop catering to that person, the problem fixes itself.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Once you set a standard and you set it, this
- 13:50Speaker 3: is what it's going to be on this team. This
- 13:53Speaker 3: is how we're going to do things, like you were
- 13:55Speaker 3: talking about, Like you you set some rules, you set
- 13:57Speaker 3: some boundaries, and once they get a little bit older,
- 13:59Speaker 3: you can do stuff like that.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Now six, you's tough to do that.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I understand that if your kid's not playing at six,
- 14:03Speaker 2: you you're you have the right to text and say, hey, yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 2: can everybody get a little game time? Can we get
- 14:09Speaker 2: a little played?
- 14:10Speaker 4: Why was there avenge in six?
- 14:11Speaker 3: You?
- 14:11Speaker 2: Like? You know, yeah, it's an even eight you it's
- 14:16Speaker 2: still the same. Maybe it's not like equal time, but
- 14:19Speaker 2: it's still like.
- 14:20Speaker 4: A bene in eight You where because it ate you?
- 14:23Speaker 3: I believe you know, you have like four outfielders, so
- 14:25Speaker 3: you got one more player on the field. Then once
- 14:28Speaker 3: you go you know, or maybe that's seven to you
- 14:30Speaker 3: either way, and then it kind of goes away. Like
- 14:33Speaker 3: once we stop catering to these people, I think that's
- 14:36Speaker 3: gonna help that go away as well.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the in general, his parents just can't
- 14:40Speaker 2: be like, yeah, did y'all see the viral clip going
- 14:44Speaker 2: around yesterday of and it looked this was probably like
- 14:48Speaker 2: twelve of you or thirteen or whatever. But it was
- 14:50Speaker 2: youth baseball. And the kid hitt home run and did
- 14:52Speaker 2: like the biggest.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Like slammed with that down.
- 14:55Speaker 2: They had a go pro on the bill of a saw,
- 14:58Speaker 2: like what are we doing? And he had not only
- 15:01Speaker 2: did he have a GoPro on his hat bill, he
- 15:03Speaker 2: had another guy with a handheld camera that was like
- 15:06Speaker 2: a professional photographer following him around the bases. He's slamming
- 15:09Speaker 2: the bat. They're doing all these things. He's got every
- 15:11Speaker 2: velcro item he could on his box. He had two
- 15:14Speaker 2: slid mits. He was upset that he didn't get to
- 15:17Speaker 2: put his up oven mits on because he hit hit
- 15:19Speaker 2: a home run. Like how in the world parents allow that?
- 15:28Speaker 4: Oh the coach held the basketball goal for him to
- 15:30Speaker 4: dunk it.
- 15:31Speaker 5: That's wild.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I'm all about having a good time at celebrating victories.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, my god.
- 15:38Speaker 3: And you turn around to your dugout and you give
- 15:40Speaker 3: the old token flex let's go.
- 15:43Speaker 4: I had no problem with that.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you better not slam that bat.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Had no problem with the good old let's go goro
- 15:49Speaker 3: the go pro and look that that that's been showing
- 15:53Speaker 3: up in seven or seven football too, flag football. I
- 15:57Speaker 3: can I can tell you this at the facility that
- 16:00Speaker 3: I'm a part of.
- 16:02Speaker 4: That ain't happening.
- 16:02Speaker 3: No more like we ain't having a camera out here
- 16:06Speaker 3: so you can put it on your YouTube page.
- 16:08Speaker 4: That ain't happening. I ain't what that ain't what it's about.
- 16:10Speaker 3: It ain't about showing somebody else up in seven you
- 16:14Speaker 3: flag football.
- 16:16Speaker 8: I've been sitting here for ten minutes now thinking that
- 16:18Speaker 8: the coach we're talking about to listen and he's like,
- 16:21Speaker 8: this guy sounds.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Like a real loser. Take that definitely sound like walk
- 16:27Speaker 2: take the hand. He probably is.
- 16:29Speaker 8: He's probably the guy Jake passed on the interstate last night.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yeah, half, I said some good expectations with Huck yesterday,
- 16:35Speaker 2: me and me and him, we were laid up right. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 2: a couple of sickies. We watch the sammot. Oh hell yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 2: go pros there.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Rookie of the Year is the best we.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Did a little big league recently.
- 16:54Speaker 5: I love Rookie of the Year.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So if you want, he just had the coach call. Yeah. Oh. Also, hey,
- 17:02Speaker 2: if you're a youth coach, after every game goes shake
- 17:06Speaker 2: the hand and thank the referee, or even if they
- 17:08Speaker 2: made a bad call, say thanks, that's what I think.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Bad call. Yes, if they don't know the rules, no
- 17:15Speaker 4: yankee hat.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Not that guy the yankee heead don't do it him.
- 17:19Speaker 3: That's all I ever asked for with umpires is be engaged.
- 17:22Speaker 3: You're getting paid to be there. Be engaged. Know the rules.
- 17:26Speaker 3: If it's a ball or a strike. If it's a strike,
- 17:29Speaker 3: give me one of these when nice little ah.
- 17:32Speaker 4: If it's a ball, tell me out up down. Dude.
- 17:37Speaker 4: If somebody does their job that they're getting paid for
- 17:40Speaker 4: and they know what, they're gonna miss calls if they
- 17:42Speaker 4: if they miss, uh, there's a ball that was a
- 17:45Speaker 4: little bit off to play the coss track, dude, that's
- 17:47Speaker 4: gonna happen. Little Johnny slides under the tag with the ball.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Beat him there, he's out. That's gonna happen. Look, you
- 17:52Speaker 4: don't stay engaged. That's the only time I get mad.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I argued with the ref a few times, not like
- 17:57Speaker 2: bad but like he said, it was a catch and
- 17:59Speaker 2: it wouldn't. I was like, oh, you're not explained to
- 18:02Speaker 2: me what a catches? I got it, but like I
- 18:05Speaker 2: get it, and like you get you get competitive. Everybody
- 18:08Speaker 2: should get competitive. The kids should see that. But you know,
- 18:10Speaker 2: also thank them afterwards and said, hey, man, well I
- 18:13Speaker 2: appreciate your time.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I get you.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Except for Yankees. Hat.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Yankees had that guy. You know the rules, man, get
- 18:27Speaker 4: off your phone.
- 18:28Speaker 2: There's three strikes and they're out.
- 18:31Speaker 4: We had a.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Tournament one time where phe was on his phone in
- 18:37Speaker 3: the field and missed the missed the play.
- 18:41Speaker 4: And this was like not long ago. So they were
- 18:44Speaker 4: in age where like it was fast and competitive.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Hey you get this tweets out.
- 18:47Speaker 8: Du Do you remember the old commercial uh the umpires
- 18:51Speaker 8: flirting with the girl in the stands and the ball
- 18:54Speaker 8: was hit and it went like straight over the foul
- 18:56Speaker 8: pole and they're like, you're calling fair foul and he's
- 18:58Speaker 8: like and it's like a Snicker's commercial there quick eat
- 19:02Speaker 8: the Snickers.
- 19:02Speaker 2: And he's like, oh, I think he had a better angle.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Love it.
- 19:04Speaker 2: They give it to him and he makes the call.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Love that commercial. MM stickers.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So a couple of let's see bullet points here and
- 19:15Speaker 3: no one went along. You gotta tell the coach, you
- 19:19Speaker 3: just gotta say something like you got to rip the
- 19:21Speaker 3: band aid off of that. Don't enable the coach that
- 19:27Speaker 3: played on the JV team as a senior. Uh, don't
- 19:30Speaker 3: enable the parents by whatever they want you do because
- 19:34Speaker 3: they're asking for it instead of just doing what should
- 19:37Speaker 3: be done. Umpires, pay attention. Don't be on your phone
- 19:42Speaker 3: in the field anything else. Have an intervention in the
- 19:49Speaker 3: corner of the ball field. Like flyinpp said, not for drinking,
- 19:53Speaker 3: but for coaching.
- 19:55Speaker 2: And they're six. No, he's get a scholarship. It makes
- 19:59Speaker 2: it if there he's yelling at your can. The conversation
- 20:00Speaker 2: is super easy.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I last point, and I know we are super long.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I played with a lot of it.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I'm talking about a lot of guys, a lot of
- 20:14Speaker 3: them that at nine, ten, eleven, they were dudes, dudes,
- 20:19Speaker 3: and we thought they're gonna be in the show. They're
- 20:22Speaker 3: gonna be playing in the big leagues by fourteen, fifteen, sixteen.
- 20:28Speaker 3: They didn't start on their high school baseball. Nobody has
- 20:33Speaker 3: got it figured out right now. Everybody's got to still
- 20:36Speaker 3: develop and some of those studs will end up getting.
- 20:40Speaker 2: So they started out like Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez, Yes, from
- 20:45Speaker 2: the sandlot, Yes.
- 20:46Speaker 4: And they turned into smalls. There you go all right, We'll.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Take a break more OTB when will come back to
- 20:54Speaker 3: your life From the Raisin Kanes studio.

- 21:22Speaker 1: Bench with Hester and Flynn, Matt and Rouge is go

- 21:30Speaker 5: Getting and getting.
- 21:32Speaker 9: That's mean, bugs and shoulder and because lated enough spets
- 21:38Speaker 9: just to navigate it.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Radio Candy.
- 21:43Speaker 2: While I'm entertaining wild Lady me and.
- 21:48Speaker 9: So went up bringing singing I'm from and running mat
- 21:53Speaker 9: for the dolls. I'm righting mother, playing on the styles
- 21:56Speaker 9: ro I'm going to like you will get the fame.
- 21:59Speaker 3: And no, none of y'all act like ya don't know
- 22:02Speaker 3: the senior that played on the JV team that I
- 22:04Speaker 3: was talking about.
- 22:04Speaker 8: Y'all all know one, absolutely, bro, I know one like
- 22:09Speaker 8: I know four in my town.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yeah, here's who live in that big of a town.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Actually, you know I know you're doing that. Here's what
- 22:15Speaker 3: I would do. Here's what I would do. I wouldn't
- 22:18Speaker 3: play on the JV team as a senior.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Get out of here.
- 22:24Speaker 2: No, you know what? Do you just want to play
- 22:25Speaker 2: ball though? The coach.
- 22:27Speaker 3: If you if you're a senior and you're playing on
- 22:29Speaker 3: the JV baseball team, ball told you you ain't playing.
- 22:33Speaker 4: That happened organically.
- 22:34Speaker 8: The coach y'all are talking about is the guy you
- 22:36Speaker 8: passed on the interstate last night.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I can't stop the girl. That's all I'm thinking about.
- 22:44Speaker 4: I sent so I had to keep it, play it, hey,
- 22:49Speaker 4: turn it. Yeah, just a little bit of you.
- 22:50Speaker 2: It's Friday.
- 22:51Speaker 4: It's Friday. It's our show.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I sent tituy Carolina squad with lights on the rams,
- 22:57Speaker 3: lights underneath.
- 22:59Speaker 4: The guy was he's a wee little fella.
- 23:03Speaker 2: No way the energy puld out.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I was on bluebone, pulled out of the mall like
- 23:09Speaker 3: turning right to get on back on Interstate to go
- 23:12Speaker 3: towards New Orleans. Went about from zero to seventy as
- 23:16Speaker 3: fast as he could, only to slow down at the light.
- 23:19Speaker 5: That's so badass.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I'm about to pull this picture up.
- 23:22Speaker 4: This dude. Is that really badass?
- 23:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 23:24Speaker 8: I think I think he off of like jub and Walker.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Here I see the truck hold them.
- 23:29Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm never less angry.
- 23:34Speaker 2: What do you think? Why do you think he has
- 23:36Speaker 2: all that?
- 23:38Speaker 8: Because he has he's Penis math. Obviously that was aggressive.
- 23:43Speaker 8: Obviously is why.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I gonna say more subtlely, he got albums.
- 23:54Speaker 5: This one's in it for me.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Let's see, uh try to catch up on the chat here.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Jason says. Sken is a pretty good example too. He
- 24:09Speaker 3: wasn't going to pitch in the pros until he came
- 24:11Speaker 3: to l s U and developed he was twenty one plus.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Don't have to peak when you're nine, you do not.
- 24:16Speaker 3: That's a great point, William Schmidt, I always hear. Now,
- 24:20Speaker 3: I don't know William Schmidt's story. That's the truck by
- 24:22Speaker 3: the way, like, what are we doing? What are we doing?
- 24:26Speaker 4: Sir so cool?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Lit up his wheels, very sweet.
- 24:35Speaker 4: There's no doubt that that fella in that truck. You
- 24:37Speaker 4: can't see him.
- 24:38Speaker 3: He had to open the door, take ten steps back,
- 24:41Speaker 3: run and jump.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Into the truck.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Dude, I don't doubt it.
- 24:43Speaker 4: There's no way. Here's his truck.
- 24:46Speaker 8: Was he jacked up even higher than that smallest adult
- 24:49Speaker 8: male of every seat in my life.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Y'all sound like haters. That's badass.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Definitely. He has a car washing steps too. He hand
- 24:57Speaker 2: washes his car maybe twice a week. That's why that's
- 24:59Speaker 2: why he gets it? He it gets all the ladies.
- 25:02Speaker 5: I mean, I want to know who this.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Man is right sliding in the DMS.
- 25:07Speaker 5: We're not gonna talk about sliding in.
- 25:08Speaker 6: The source subject you.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Are, Joey Lea.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I'm telling you this guy lives.
- 25:16Speaker 5: You know who you are?
- 25:18Speaker 8: Joey Lebla in the chat goes and someone trying to
- 25:22Speaker 8: intimidate me by walk ons on jub and Wednesday lights
- 25:24Speaker 8: and his wheels pulled the picture. He goes, I swear
- 25:26Speaker 8: that's the same track this guy lives right right, Bobby has.
- 25:29Speaker 2: To try to intimidate me. Wow, is anybody? Is that anybody?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Anybody out there? If you're in the chat? Is that
- 25:40Speaker 2: your car? Let us know?
- 25:42Speaker 3: No, this guy doesn't listen to sports talk radio. He
- 25:44Speaker 3: listens to only Mumble Wrap and bro Country. Yep, only
- 25:50Speaker 3: two things that fella listens to. All right, to break
- 25:53Speaker 3: up this conversation, I want to remind you about our
- 25:55Speaker 3: friends over at kay to Zee. It is he in
- 25:57Speaker 3: tears in Outdoor Living kdsey Blinds dot com. K toz
- 26:00Speaker 3: Blinds dot Com is the website drapes, shutters, really anything
- 26:07Speaker 3: inside or outside.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Why it's interior and Outdoor Living like so for.
- 26:11Speaker 3: The outside portion of motorized screens, which I didn't know
- 26:14Speaker 3: was gonna help us inside.
- 26:15Speaker 4: It's been a lifesaver on the outside.
- 26:17Speaker 3: But also what it does when we're sitting there watching
- 26:19Speaker 3: football on Sunday, shades the whole living room saves on
- 26:22Speaker 3: energy bills.
- 26:23Speaker 4: And that's why we always say, have them come out.
- 26:24Speaker 3: They're gonna know your space, learn your space, change your
- 26:26Speaker 3: space in a matter of minutes. Ktoz Blinds dot com
- 26:30Speaker 3: is the website. I was talking about the comment that
- 26:35Speaker 3: I think it was Jason that said about Paul Skins,
- 26:37Speaker 3: and he's exactly right, Like he was a really good
- 26:39Speaker 3: player at air Force, but he developed here, and you know,
- 26:41Speaker 3: we've seen that happen before. I don't know the story,
- 26:46Speaker 3: like every bullet point, but I always heard that William
- 26:48Speaker 3: Schmidt was like somebody that played on like like you know,
- 26:51Speaker 3: it's like a baseball organization. There's like the top team
- 26:53Speaker 3: and he played like on the middle tier team like
- 26:56Speaker 3: for a long time, and then all of a sudden,
- 26:59Speaker 3: guess what he developed and he grew and like he
- 27:01Speaker 3: now has turned into a Saturday starter in the SEC
- 27:05Speaker 3: and only getting better and going to you know, be
- 27:08Speaker 3: drafted into the MLB draft here soon whenever that his
- 27:11Speaker 3: time comes.
- 27:13Speaker 6: Well, I just also feel like, I mean, kids can
- 27:16Speaker 6: get burnt out, and then after you get burnt out,
- 27:18Speaker 6: you don't want to develop because you don't want to
- 27:19Speaker 6: keep playing, so you do it like you peak at
- 27:22Speaker 6: nine and then.
- 27:22Speaker 2: What Yeah, that's what I got beat seventh grade.
- 27:26Speaker 4: It's what what.
- 27:27Speaker 2: I got beat out in seventh grade, first year of
- 27:29Speaker 2: tackle football.
- 27:30Speaker 4: You got beat out in high school, didn't you.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I was back up in seventh grade, didn't throw pat.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I don't even know if it took a snap all year,
- 27:36Speaker 2: and then yeah tonight. Well, and I got beat out
- 27:39Speaker 2: in my sophomore year of high school. And guess what,
- 27:41Speaker 2: I didn't even win the starting job till game number
- 27:43Speaker 2: two of my junior year. Yeah, because we were splitting reps.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I didn't play running back until seven people got cramps.
- 27:51Speaker 2: We were playing in Longview.
- 27:53Speaker 3: It was hotter than hot as you can imagine, and
- 27:55Speaker 3: like seven people got cramps that played offense, and I
- 27:58Speaker 3: moved from defense to running back that night, had some success,
- 28:01Speaker 3: and then started playing running back. I was a nose guard. Yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 3: up to that point, it's gonna be okay. It will
- 28:08Speaker 3: work itself. Auty, I was too fitty. I was out
- 28:11Speaker 3: there just playing the little zero nose bo.
- 28:13Speaker 4: It's put in the double teams, two hands in the dirt,
- 28:16Speaker 4: Oh no doubt, little frog stamps. I go from that
- 28:20Speaker 4: to play and running back.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Oh man, only at a school with three hundred people
- 28:27Speaker 2: at it. Yep, it's weird. We were so good at football.
- 28:32Speaker 2: So it's gonna be all right out there.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Guys, did you play middle school football? I think it
- 28:37Speaker 4: was in long It might have been long View, it
- 28:39Speaker 4: might have been Tyler. I'll have to ask my mom.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Everybody played there. We always drove over.
- 28:44Speaker 3: In middle school. We played every long View and Tyler
- 28:47Speaker 3: team like we might have. They had an announcer and
- 28:51Speaker 3: he was like pretty much like play by play. You
- 28:54Speaker 3: know that in the entire game, Like if you if
- 28:56Speaker 3: you heard this announcer, you know exactly what im talgraph.
- 28:58Speaker 2: It would have been in high school.
- 29:02Speaker 3: This was middle This was like seventh and eighth grade.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Did y'all play any games like in the long View?
- 29:07Speaker 3: Did y'all play against long View teams? And god we did?
- 29:10Speaker 2: I mean no, no, we so we played all Tyler like.
- 29:14Speaker 2: It was all just the middle school League, Tyler Middle
- 29:15Speaker 2: School League, like eight teams.
- 29:17Speaker 3: The thing could have been in Tyler and I don't
- 29:19Speaker 3: know it. We just got on a yellow school bus
- 29:21Speaker 3: and drove from Tree Fort.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:22Speaker 2: No, no, we didn't have a Playboy play announcer for
- 29:25Speaker 2: our middle school games.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Well, I mean he was liked. He was like the
- 29:28Speaker 4: PA guy, but he ended up with like would give
- 29:30Speaker 4: the play by play over the PA.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I don't remember this, Okay, all right, I'm gonna ask
- 29:35Speaker 2: you had a better memory than I do. I was
- 29:38Speaker 2: out there trying to figure out how how I can
- 29:39Speaker 2: get on the field. The three passes a game? What
- 29:43Speaker 2: I started an eighth grade though, not a big deal.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I'll get one for three, that'd be a good day.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Were you close to being the senior that was on
- 29:49Speaker 4: the JV team?
- 29:50Speaker 2: I was actually the JV quarterback is a freshman, and
- 29:54Speaker 2: my other buddy was a fresh was the freshman quarterback.
- 29:57Speaker 2: We had two freshman teams and a JV team and
- 29:59Speaker 2: a varsity team. Yeah, he was the fresh freshman teams. Yeah,
- 30:02Speaker 2: he was a fresh quarterback. I was a JV quarterback.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Then he'd be beyond a senior. Now he was pretty good.
- 30:07Speaker 2: He ended up playing in the Chicago Cubs organization for
- 30:10Speaker 2: a while. Yeah, good player had to have been right.
- 30:18Speaker 3: And as I say, obviously, all right, we'll step away.
- 30:21Speaker 3: We've got more OTB coming your way. When we jump
- 30:23Speaker 3: back here live from the Raisin King Studio.

- 32:18Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Welcome backgin O t B here live from the Raising
- 32:21Speaker 3: Canes Studio.
- 32:25Speaker 4: Well Friday, vibe here in the Raizing Canes Studio.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I'm feeling it, Matthew.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Yes, sir, you were laid up yesterday, but you had
- 32:34Speaker 4: a chance to I hustle a little l s U Gymnastics.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I sure did. Me and the girls. We sat down
- 32:38Speaker 2: in the living room yesterday watched the gymnastics semi finals yesterday.
- 32:42Speaker 2: So yesterday was two different meets. The last the top
- 32:46Speaker 2: eight teams, eight remaining teams in NCAA gymnastics were competing
- 32:52Speaker 2: yesterday in two different meets. One was I think unless
- 32:54Speaker 2: you started at three or three thirty, and then the
- 32:56Speaker 2: last one was at eight pm to decide who will
- 32:59Speaker 2: compete in Saturdays national championship meet. I think it is
- 33:03Speaker 2: on three three pm this Saturday in Fort Worth. LSU
- 33:08Speaker 2: made it, babe. We made it through. And it wasn't
- 33:10Speaker 2: like without little little nervousness. It wasn't their best meet
- 33:15Speaker 2: that they've had. They were down going into the final rotation.
- 33:19Speaker 2: They were in third place. So every both meets, both
- 33:22Speaker 2: semifinals were four teams. The top two moved on to
- 33:26Speaker 2: Saturdays and came at first, and LSU's meet Florida came
- 33:31Speaker 2: in first. LSU came back in that final rotation on floor,
- 33:35Speaker 2: which is a strength of lasues from nastics team, and
- 33:38Speaker 2: they came back and they topped. They went ahead of Georgia,
- 33:42Speaker 2: who was saya going into that now, so the final
- 33:46Speaker 2: four headed into Saturday, number one Oklahoma, number two, LSU,
- 33:51Speaker 2: number three Florida, and number thirteen Minnesota. Actually UCLA kind
- 33:58Speaker 2: of they kind of stunk it up yesterday. I was
- 34:01Speaker 2: in the gym game, like, yeah, right, I know they
- 34:03Speaker 2: did great. They really performed well yesterday and UCLA didn't
- 34:07Speaker 2: have their best day and so they overtook. So it
- 34:10Speaker 2: was almost a one two three four situation. But Minnesota
- 34:12Speaker 2: out of nowhere, number thirteen going to the National Championship
- 34:16Speaker 2: Gymnastics meet at Saturday at three pm in LSU, they
- 34:20Speaker 2: got to have a better performance than they did. They
- 34:22Speaker 2: of the four teams left yesterday, they had the lowest
- 34:26Speaker 2: score out of those four teams that will be competing
- 34:28Speaker 2: on Saturday. So wasn't their best day, but they got
- 34:31Speaker 2: a lot of juice to them and.
- 34:34Speaker 4: In the tournament in You're still.
- 34:36Speaker 6: Gonna ask you this because I didn't get to watch it.
- 34:38Speaker 6: I was doing an afar yesterday. Cabble tweeted this out,
- 34:43Speaker 6: so and your mom, Nancy, she was texting me during
- 34:46Speaker 6: it too, so she was kind of.
- 34:48Speaker 5: Agreeing with this. Carbble tweeted out LSU.
- 34:51Speaker 6: Has been a victim to very lengthy delays in both
- 34:53Speaker 6: Vault and now Beam Not sure if it's judge related
- 34:56Speaker 6: or television holding for routines, but there's no pace to
- 34:59Speaker 6: LSU's compet it feels like it sucked the energy out
- 35:01Speaker 6: of the team. Do you agree or disagree with that? Like,
- 35:04Speaker 6: do you think that there's like kind of some pauses
- 35:06Speaker 6: and they couldn't get into a rhythm?
- 35:08Speaker 2: Good question.
- 35:08Speaker 6: Do you think that that's what the issue was or
- 35:10Speaker 6: do you just think they just didn't have it yesterday?
- 35:12Speaker 5: I mean, obviously they had it.
- 35:13Speaker 2: They made it, yeah, right, But I know it was
- 35:15Speaker 2: a hand in the air.
- 35:18Speaker 5: You didn't notice that.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Hand in the air. I thought that the meat started
- 35:21Speaker 2: at four thirty, okay, so he started to create there.
- 35:23Speaker 2: So I missed like the majority of it, and I
- 35:26Speaker 2: caught the end of it. I saw all the floor then.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I can't remember what the rotation was before that. I
- 35:30Speaker 2: saw some of that. I just saw. So I don't
- 35:32Speaker 2: know anything about the delays. They didn't say anything about
- 35:35Speaker 2: that on the coverage. Yeah, but I can imagine how
- 35:38Speaker 2: that any delay in that situation is. It's like ice
- 35:42Speaker 2: and a kicker, Like every time a gymnast steps on
- 35:46Speaker 2: the floor, it's like it's like a kicker going down
- 35:48Speaker 2: in the middle. Of field, like it's like all eyes
- 35:49Speaker 2: on you, like this is there's one thing I got
- 35:51Speaker 2: to do here. I have to execute like these very
- 35:54Speaker 2: minute things. It's not like another player on a team
- 35:58Speaker 2: that can just go like hit somebody as hard as
- 35:59Speaker 2: they can. Right, It's like you're doing a fine motor skill.
- 36:02Speaker 2: It's very skillful.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Literally have to be perfect.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and so I can imagine how any delay, especially
- 36:09Speaker 2: with the pressure building up, especially like LSU, you're probably
- 36:12Speaker 2: not getting the scores that you're used to and you're
- 36:17Speaker 2: you're sitting there in your third place, You're you're like
- 36:21Speaker 2: outside looking in as of right now, Like there's pressure,
- 36:24Speaker 2: Like every single performance is more and more pressure build up,
- 36:26Speaker 2: so more time you have to sit there and think
- 36:28Speaker 2: about it and be in your fields. I can imagine
- 36:30Speaker 2: how that could could make a big impact. But what
- 36:33Speaker 2: I saw was just like they were showing replays about
- 36:35Speaker 2: how l s U, like they weren't sticking their landings
- 36:38Speaker 2: and uneven bars is one day that I specifically saw
- 36:41Speaker 2: which led to some tenth deductions. So but they came
- 36:46Speaker 2: out and it was a little shaky at first. On
- 36:48Speaker 2: the on the floor. By the last three girls, I
- 36:51Speaker 2: mean they crushed it.
- 36:52Speaker 8: So what what rotation did they what what was LSU's
- 36:55Speaker 8: rotation like first event to last.
- 36:57Speaker 5: I think it was vault first.
- 36:59Speaker 2: They All I know is that the floor was last.
- 37:04Speaker 8: They always say, you don't want to do beam last.
- 37:06Speaker 8: Apparently that's like the that's gotta be a lot of pressure. Yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 8: apparently that's the hardest rotation. Well, having floor last is
- 37:12Speaker 8: certainly an advantage. And I don't know if they got
- 37:15Speaker 8: were able to do last because they had the highest ranking,
- 37:18Speaker 8: but I think that's that's what most of the meats are.
- 37:21Speaker 8: They end on the floor right to.
- 37:23Speaker 6: Jade openault and then they went to bars after that.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Okay, so that's like a normal rotation of a gymnastics vault, bars, beam, floor. Yeah.
- 37:32Speaker 5: Yeah, the third rotation was beam and then the final
- 37:35Speaker 5: one was floor.
- 37:37Speaker 2: So they those girls crushed it super impressive. Yeah, it was.
- 37:44Speaker 2: And it was shaking, like even three or four girls
- 37:46Speaker 2: into the floor. It's like, okay, we're still down. And
- 37:48Speaker 2: then a girl from Georgia, they were doing vault and
- 37:50Speaker 2: she she bobbled on her landing a little bit, had
- 37:54Speaker 2: to catch herself from fight falling a little bit. She
- 37:56Speaker 2: did fall her hand didn't touch Booty didn't touch nothing. Yeah,
- 38:00Speaker 2: but it was a big enough deduction. And the last
- 38:03Speaker 2: three girls for La shoot and just crushed it.
- 38:05Speaker 5: And they put the team on their back.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Let's go put the team on the back. And I'm excited.
- 38:12Speaker 2: We got a lot. We got a lot of baseball
- 38:14Speaker 2: and softball tomorrow. So what we're gonna have to do
- 38:17Speaker 2: is push the old record. But I hate recording live television.
- 38:20Speaker 2: But my girls really little TVO. But my girls really
- 38:25Speaker 2: enjoyed watching and like even afterwards, they were out on
- 38:28Speaker 2: the trampoline like trying to do back handsprings for like
- 38:31Speaker 2: three hours.
- 38:31Speaker 5: That's awesome. Shout out Jim. Shout out coach j Clark.
- 38:37Speaker 4: We got all the baseballs tomorrow too, Shout out to
- 38:40Speaker 4: j Clark. Though we'll be cheering you on, just go
- 38:46Speaker 4: beat Florida's score. We want you to win the Natty obviously.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Well he said it on this show. He doesn't like Florida.
- 38:52Speaker 3: But I know how you feel about Florida, Jay, I
- 38:55Speaker 3: know how we feel about Florida here in this studio.
- 38:58Speaker 3: So if you don't win the Natty, which is gonna happen,
- 39:01Speaker 3: but if you don't, just make sure we beat Florida's score.
- 39:03Speaker 2: I know Florida has gotten that. They're kind of chill.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Not not tomorrow.
- 39:12Speaker 4: We'll talk good about those.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Punch around their gymnastics face tomorrow.
- 39:19Speaker 5: I had no idea where that one was going.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I didn't either. That was the.
- 39:23Speaker 5: Beauty of the stream of consciousness.
- 39:25Speaker 4: I don't know how beauty it was. I held my breath. Whoa, sorry,
- 39:32Speaker 4: they got this one little thing right here that won't
- 39:36Speaker 4: let me turn my microphone.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Turn it the other way. Gotta have been that elbow
- 39:40Speaker 2: backwards and do that too much work. Yeah, m hmm.
- 39:47Speaker 3: It is amazing how every single year, no matter who
- 39:49Speaker 3: LSU gymnastics loses, they still are like right back in it.
- 39:53Speaker 2: They're factory dude. I mean they they were just rolling.
- 40:02Speaker 2: And we've we talked about how god blinking first name
- 40:10Speaker 2: Kale and Chio. Yeah yeah, sorry, uh uh. We were
- 40:14Speaker 2: talking a couple of weeks ago. I was like, is
- 40:17Speaker 2: can the argument be made that as a sophomore kaleing
- 40:20Speaker 2: Chio is one of the like the top five greatest
- 40:23Speaker 2: athlete in l s U history, like sports history, and
- 40:26Speaker 2: if she went they win the national.
- 40:28Speaker 4: From the same sport that's in that conversation too.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but she's already overcome those achievements as well as
- 40:35Speaker 2: a sophomore, and if if they add a national championship
- 40:38Speaker 2: to that, then you got to have it solidifies that
- 40:41Speaker 2: argument sophomore. And it's even like you can say, okay,
- 40:46Speaker 2: I get it the argument. Okay, maybe maybe not a
- 40:48Speaker 2: top five yet, but looks as a sophomore. To even
- 40:51Speaker 2: have that conversation or being the running for that, my god.
- 40:54Speaker 4: I know that's like.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Lazy sports talk fodder to to try to do that.
- 41:00Speaker 4: I wouldn't even want to try to do that, but
- 41:03Speaker 4: a top five, l.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Shoot anything like there's many there's too many historic people
- 41:10Speaker 3: through football, baseball, men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, golf, just
- 41:17Speaker 3: too many.
- 41:23Speaker 4: All right, well you oh.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Break though.
- 41:28Speaker 2: It's Bill Weather. They're trying to fix that.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Okay, all right, I mean, look, you got you got
- 41:32Speaker 4: a pregnant wife. I don't never know. When you in
