- 0:39Speaker 5: Man, I just said, that's just that l A swag.
- 0:43Speaker 5: Are you from l A?
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 0:45Speaker 5: From okay? Three one know? Just so people don't know,
- 0:47Speaker 5: you know.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Like well obviously when people people in Atlanta were saying
- 0:51Speaker 4: three ten baby, now.
- 0:52Speaker 3: People say I mean out of town when people say that,
- 0:54Speaker 3: not even just out of time. I think even in
- 0:56Speaker 3: l A people say three.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Ten okay, But it's like that is that like a
- 0:59Speaker 4: pro or I.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Wouldn't say it ain't that serious? Right if people know
- 1:03Speaker 3: me in street and know me s three ten even
- 1:05Speaker 3: though it is doing up, you know, what I'm saying
- 1:07Speaker 3: if you were mispronounced artist names all the time, but
- 1:09Speaker 3: it's like it's doing Yeah, I'm not. I mean if
- 1:12Speaker 3: somebody keeps saying over and over I told them once,
- 1:16Speaker 3: it's like bro.
- 1:17Speaker 6: Now it's just like you know, four or four, you're
- 1:19Speaker 6: just gonna automatically divide the numbers. Nobody's gonna say six
- 1:23Speaker 6: seventy eight. They're going to say six seven eight. Yeah,
- 1:25Speaker 6: so three one oh yeah. Man, But we're glad to
- 1:28Speaker 6: have you here on a Baller Alert show. Now you're
- 1:31Speaker 6: from LA and Inglewood, Inglewood. Okay, how was it growing
- 1:34Speaker 6: up in Inglewood?
- 1:35Speaker 3: I don't know. It was cool, not me. Nice family,
- 1:37Speaker 3: good family.
- 1:37Speaker 5: Yeah, you come from a good family, like a two
- 1:39Speaker 5: parent household. Yeah, okay.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I used to watch music videos a lot. I mean
- 1:43Speaker 3: they stopped, you know, people stop watching them on TV.
- 1:46Speaker 3: That was when I was real young and then but
- 1:48Speaker 3: that stopped. I don't remember a specific year, but I
- 1:50Speaker 3: remember that stopped, like one on six in Park or
- 1:53Speaker 3: like MTV time like MTV or BT, like they just
- 1:57Speaker 3: used to have them all. I remember one on sixth
- 1:59Speaker 3: in Park. I was a younger, but I remember like
- 2:01Speaker 3: really watching I remember, like you would be on at times,
- 2:04Speaker 3: but I'm saying in general, like I used to see
- 2:06Speaker 3: music videos on just like BT or like MTV, and
- 2:12Speaker 3: so early on. That's how I was, you know, really
- 2:13Speaker 3: diving into music aside from like maybe radio. But even
- 2:16Speaker 3: at that time, you know, when you're younger, when you're
- 2:18Speaker 3: listening to radio, you really don't like pinpoint the artists
- 2:22Speaker 3: like you just maybe like the song you don't really know.
- 2:25Speaker 3: But I really didn't start diving into like artists I
- 2:27Speaker 3: liked specifically until like twenty fifteen. And that's what SoundCloud.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Who would you like? From SoundCloud?
- 2:33Speaker 3: I was on migos like early and Chief Keith and
- 2:37Speaker 3: Gucci Man. That was like my go to when I
- 2:39Speaker 3: was And did.
- 2:39Speaker 4: You didn't make you start writing? Did you say, hey,
- 2:41Speaker 4: I want to go to the studio or.
- 2:44Speaker 3: No, I didn't. I mean at that I was like
- 2:45Speaker 3: ten maybe, so like I didn't write like that. I
- 2:48Speaker 3: remember I used to write stuff down like thinking out something,
- 2:52Speaker 3: but like it really like the rap stuff. Really didn't
- 2:55Speaker 3: like okay, dang, I want to do this until like
- 2:58Speaker 3: maybe eleve been twelve. Then I started like freestyling with
- 3:02Speaker 3: my cousins and stuff, like they weren't wrapping, but like
- 3:04Speaker 3: I would rap like when I'm with them and they
- 3:06Speaker 3: like hype me up, and like we would play beats
- 3:08Speaker 3: all day, Like that's all I would want to do
- 3:10Speaker 3: because I'm the only child, So like getting around my cousins,
- 3:12Speaker 3: that's when I would like freestyle or like play at
- 3:15Speaker 3: a hundred beats for them and like tell.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Show like somewhere you download YouTube.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I just played different type beats and be like, oh
- 3:22Speaker 3: I can rap on this type B too, and just
- 3:24Speaker 3: it just turned me up. So like that's really the start.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And then I would say, like thirteen fourteen, it's when
- 3:30Speaker 3: I like had my first piece of equipment really like
- 3:34Speaker 3: it was like a USB mic and like an older
- 3:36Speaker 3: MacBook and then logic on there, okay, And I remember
- 3:41Speaker 3: I tried to figure it out and it was hard.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Bro it's kind of complicated to start there, not.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Even just I mean I ended up even though I
- 3:48Speaker 3: was young at that age. After a while, a couple
- 3:50Speaker 3: of months, I learned how to use the program, but
- 3:52Speaker 3: it was more of like I didn't have what I needed.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I didn't like it was so much stuff that I
- 3:56Speaker 3: know about now that I didn't know about this.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Like preamps, like a certain type of mic, you know.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, they're not having an interface, not having a mic
- 4:05Speaker 3: like a real mic used to be my kids in
- 4:07Speaker 3: high quality any one with XLR cable. So this is
- 4:10Speaker 3: so much stuff I learned now that I wish I
- 4:13Speaker 3: knew back then. B At the same time, I'm grateful
- 4:16Speaker 3: for how I penned out because I would have never
- 4:17Speaker 3: ended up going to band lab because I went to
- 4:19Speaker 3: band Lab in twenty twenty. So around the age fifteen
- 4:22Speaker 3: to sixteen. That's when I really got in my band lab.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So you're still in school and this is something that
- 4:27Speaker 4: are you still in school now?
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:29Speaker 4: So like when do you graduate in gym? Wow? So wait,
- 4:33Speaker 4: I don't want to skip, but my bad. So you're
- 4:35Speaker 4: around fifteen, and when did you write your first song
- 4:39Speaker 4: and put it out?
- 4:40Speaker 3: I did that in seventh grade, so I was like, how.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Maybe it's like thirteen thirteen fourteen.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So that's like that was through the logic stuff, like
- 4:49Speaker 3: I put out songs to there, like I made it
- 4:52Speaker 3: on logic, I put it out on SoundCloud, and for
- 4:55Speaker 3: you to.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Start on logic because you were making the beats in
- 4:57Speaker 5: logic too.
- 4:57Speaker 6: And rapping or no, I never maye beats Okay, you
- 5:00Speaker 6: never tried to maybe so YouTube them.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I would just get them off YouTube. Okay.
- 5:05Speaker 6: Usually people usually go to pro tools and just record
- 5:08Speaker 6: themselves there.
- 5:09Speaker 3: For me, I mean it was because that's what it
- 5:11Speaker 3: was on the computer. It was no like fl was
- 5:14Speaker 3: like a.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Garage band usually come with with mac.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Not I was on garage band at the time. I
- 5:19Speaker 3: just said logic because that's that was like the newer version. Okay, okay,
- 5:22Speaker 3: So like I did both because logic wasn't always out
- 5:26Speaker 3: like it was garage band. Then they did the logic,
- 5:28Speaker 3: So I was on both at the time. That was
- 5:30Speaker 3: the go to for me.
- 5:31Speaker 4: So you're putting out records in seventh grade? Are you
- 5:33Speaker 4: taking it serious? Because I know you still got to
- 5:35Speaker 4: go to schools.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I mean, in my head, I'm taking this like I
- 5:38Speaker 3: mean not.
- 5:38Speaker 4: I mean, are you walking around saying are you three?
- 5:42Speaker 3: One? No?
- 5:43Speaker 4: Baby yet?
- 5:43Speaker 3: No? No, no, no?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Who are you?
- 5:46Speaker 3: My name was like I don't even remember. I changed
- 5:49Speaker 3: it like two three.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Times, your real name. M You don't like it.
- 5:56Speaker 4: I mean, it's online.
- 5:58Speaker 3: It's online. It's online. Okay, I don't think. I don't
- 6:00Speaker 3: think like, I don't think. It's nothing. I don't like it.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I just feel like here like this is doing No
- 6:05Speaker 3: Baby the business, like right now, it's just the business
- 6:08Speaker 3: when we get into that. That's like when I'm talking
- 6:11Speaker 3: big corporate and I don't know, like right now, it's
- 6:13Speaker 3: just I kind.
- 6:13Speaker 6: Of wanted to know who three well No Baby, how
- 6:16Speaker 6: that came to be. That's why I was asking about
- 6:18Speaker 6: your early life and how you grew up. You know,
- 6:20Speaker 6: how did you grow into three you are now? But
- 6:23Speaker 6: we can just you know, straight into business.
- 6:25Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I mean doing No Baby it is to me, the
- 6:27Speaker 3: name it really doesn't have men like a strong meaning
- 6:30Speaker 3: like a lot of artists, they got their name from
- 6:32Speaker 3: somebody or like somebody died and gave him this name
- 6:34Speaker 3: or nicknamed him this me it was just doing No Baby,
- 6:36Speaker 3: like that's where I'm from. I'm a product of not
- 6:39Speaker 3: necessarily my environment, but my tribe, and my tribe is
- 6:42Speaker 3: from La Inglewood, you know, to be exact. So like
- 6:45Speaker 3: doing No Baby, that was it. That's at that time,
- 6:48Speaker 3: I didn't really overthink my name. I just did what's me.
- 6:50Speaker 3: And that's even with my albums like nice and Weekends.
- 6:53Speaker 3: My album maybe album just dropped It's Nice in weekends
- 6:56Speaker 3: because I only could work at night and on the weekend.
- 6:58Speaker 3: So like a lot of my stuff even more and
- 7:00Speaker 3: like down to my brand, it's always like authentic, Like
- 7:03Speaker 3: I don't have to overthink because like the answer is
- 7:05Speaker 3: usually right in front of me.
- 7:06Speaker 4: How old are you?
- 7:06Speaker 3: Eighteen?
- 7:08Speaker 4: I don't really get that from an eighteen year old.
- 7:10Speaker 4: I kind of get yeah, we're outside, we getting lit,
- 7:12Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, So you very very polished.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Where does this come from?
- 7:17Speaker 3: I would say the way I was raised and now
- 7:19Speaker 3: who the people have around me.
- 7:21Speaker 4: It's both because you came on time and you know,
- 7:25Speaker 4: we had twelve thirty on there and you actually thirty
- 7:28Speaker 4: minutes early, which again is telling me a lot about
- 7:33Speaker 4: who you are and who's around you. And it's all business.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Now back to what my co host a table was saying,
- 7:40Speaker 4: does it ever get personal for you? Cause, yeah, you're
- 7:44Speaker 4: in a business, but people gotta tap. People are eventually
- 7:46Speaker 4: going to tap into past the hit records, they're going
- 7:48Speaker 4: to pack, They're gonna tap into who you are as
- 7:50Speaker 4: a person to stay with you.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I think for people that want to like get to
- 7:55Speaker 3: know me more, like more than just the music, and
- 7:57Speaker 3: like get to know the artists, I feel like recently,
- 8:00Speaker 3: if they want, like if they want a piece of me,
- 8:02Speaker 3: like aside from music, they could tap in on like
- 8:04Speaker 3: my TikTok maybe not my Instagram as much. Right now,
- 8:08Speaker 3: I will say like I'm starting to do better with
- 8:10Speaker 3: like having more stuff of just who I am as
- 8:12Speaker 3: a person on my socials. So like I mean I start,
- 8:15Speaker 3: I'm starting that now, Like this past week, I really
- 8:17Speaker 3: like got into it like tiktoks and.
- 8:19Speaker 4: So you didn't really care for it that much.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Not that I didn't care, but before I blew up,
- 8:25Speaker 3: I was already not really on social media. So I
- 8:27Speaker 3: to like learn why I just I never really I
- 8:30Speaker 3: just never was a social media person, I guess because
- 8:33Speaker 3: for me, I didn't have a reason to post, like
- 8:35Speaker 3: if I didn't have like I used to post just
- 8:37Speaker 3: my music, but like that was it. I didn't really
- 8:39Speaker 3: have like a reason. Like now it's like I know
- 8:43Speaker 3: or maybe I didn't know the reason, Like I didn't
- 8:45Speaker 3: know the reason why, Like dull you a post? Bro?
- 8:48Speaker 3: Like do you a post yourself? Talking to people?
- 8:50Speaker 4: So you're like you never post on your birthday like yeah,
- 8:52Speaker 4: I'm seventeen, Happy birthday to me.
- 8:54Speaker 3: No like videos no, people might posting I'll just repost
- 8:57Speaker 3: what they say on their story. But like I just
- 8:59Speaker 3: have to do like I know, I have to do better,
- 9:01Speaker 3: like talking to people that like my supporters. It's like
- 9:04Speaker 3: recently I've been like dming them, sending them videos like
- 9:06Speaker 3: I'll do that, but overall, like I'm just learning.
- 9:09Speaker 5: You know, would you say that you are more of
- 9:10Speaker 5: an introvert.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I feel like it's at times when I feel comfortable
- 9:14Speaker 3: is when it changes to extrovert, but introvert, like maybe
- 9:18Speaker 3: in general, I would say it just depends because I'm
- 9:21Speaker 3: kind of people tell me I'm quiet. I don't feel
- 9:23Speaker 3: like it. I feel like I'm more just I'm observant
- 9:26Speaker 3: and then i speak and I like.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Feeling out the room, the vibe, you know, see where
- 9:32Speaker 6: your energy fits.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Yeah, does that come from how you grew up, the location,
- 9:38Speaker 4: how you got to be smart in specific ways out
- 9:42Speaker 4: in LA because LA is a different breed, Like it's
- 9:45Speaker 4: not like you can just walk anywhere.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I wouldn't say, I wouldn't say, and I mean you're fair.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I mean I think that's kind of everywhere. I mean
- 9:54Speaker 3: not I know what you're saying, though, I know what
- 9:56Speaker 3: you're saying, but I wouldn't say it's because of where
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'm from. I think more of just how I was raised.
- 10:03Speaker 3: I guess I mean not even that. I don't know.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I think that's just me. I think that's just me
- 10:07Speaker 3: because it's it's people in my family that aren't like that. Okay,
- 10:11Speaker 3: you know so yeah, No, I wouldn't say that.
- 10:13Speaker 4: I feel like, because you're here, record is a party
- 10:15Speaker 4: song bro that She's like, it's a vibe.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I like having fun. I wouldn't say I like having fun.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I'm not gonna make I'm not gonna make a smile.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I don't, okay, I like having fun. I feel like
- 10:23Speaker 3: I'm just not I'm the top to read the room first,
- 10:26Speaker 3: then react like read okay, then I'm on that his
- 10:29Speaker 3: real name.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Towards the end of the interview, who are you all right?
- 10:34Speaker 5: So? Uh is it true that you took like fifteen
- 10:38Speaker 5: to twenty minutes to make So City?
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah? I was like fifteen too. It was quick.
- 10:41Speaker 5: What was the vibe? Like, you know, take us to
- 10:43Speaker 5: that to that.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Moment when you you know, made the record in that
- 10:47Speaker 6: short amount of time.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I was recording like I would in need it after
- 10:50Speaker 3: school and.
- 10:51Speaker 4: In your bedroom after school? You record that song after school?
- 10:54Speaker 4: Where do you get to be?
- 10:55Speaker 3: From YouTube? YouTube? And one thing I remember, honestly is
- 11:02Speaker 3: I wanted like a party song. Like that was like
- 11:05Speaker 3: because a lot of things I do is like everything's
- 11:07Speaker 3: like intentional, right, Like I always have like the objectives
- 11:10Speaker 3: like what do I want for today? Like what do
- 11:12Speaker 3: I want this song to be? Or in general, before
- 11:14Speaker 3: I even pick a beat or listen to a beat,
- 11:16Speaker 3: that's like what do I want for today? Like what
- 11:18Speaker 3: it is today going to be for me? And I
- 11:20Speaker 3: wanted a party song, and that's what I did, Like
- 11:23Speaker 3: that's what I was visualizing. I saw the party already,
- 11:25Speaker 3: so all I have to do is say what I said.
- 11:27Speaker 3: And it may have not been the most lyrical song, like,
- 11:31Speaker 3: but that's what the kids want at the end of
- 11:34Speaker 3: the day. Kids my age want that. And we see
- 11:37Speaker 3: now it's like, yeah, the kids wanted that, but now
- 11:39Speaker 3: the world is starting to receive it as well on
- 11:41Speaker 3: the universal level for sure, So I feel like that's
- 11:43Speaker 3: a win. But even in general, like I've other records
- 11:47Speaker 3: where it's like that's my thing, like the party records
- 11:50Speaker 3: is my thing. I could do different types of records,
- 11:52Speaker 3: which I have before, but right now it's like the
- 11:55Speaker 3: party songs is my thing and a lot of people
- 11:57Speaker 3: aren't doing that everything right, And I was pretty like negative,
- 12:01Speaker 3: I would say, And I'm bringing like a different taste
- 12:05Speaker 3: to music right now, like I feel like we don't
- 12:07Speaker 3: have as many party songs as we once did.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Now again this is songs blowing up.
- 12:13Speaker 3: So what happens the squabble, because that's what people across
- 12:18Speaker 3: the nation knew was a squabble. It was a routine
- 12:21Speaker 3: to my song in the summer that a girl named
- 12:25Speaker 3: Beauty in La started. She started that just the routine.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Now the squabble was already a dance, like the thing
- 12:32Speaker 3: that everybody like the NFL like that dance people in
- 12:35Speaker 3: La already knew about. This is just new to like
- 12:39Speaker 3: the world to where that's why it's such a big deal,
- 12:41Speaker 3: like and it's like catching people like it. People love
- 12:43Speaker 3: new dances, so like it's new to you know, to
- 12:45Speaker 3: people across the world. So that's like the last face,
- 12:48Speaker 3: not the last phase, but the most recent phase of
- 12:51Speaker 3: my song is like the squabble resurfacing and like being
- 12:55Speaker 3: much bigger. That was it for that.
- 12:59Speaker 6: But but to Rri's point about high school. You know
- 13:02Speaker 6: you're going in there. You said you've been doing it
- 13:04Speaker 6: since middle school, really because you said seventh grade for.
- 13:08Speaker 3: A year consistently. But I have been making music since
- 13:11Speaker 3: middle school. It's just that in middle school I was
- 13:13Speaker 3: playing basketball a lot to wh I didn't really have
- 13:15Speaker 3: too much time to a big thing.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Yeah, we getting to know you. Okay, so you playing sports?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Was you good?
- 13:22Speaker 5: Was you a guard? Was you a point guard or
- 13:24Speaker 5: shooting guard? Shooting guard? Okay, yeah that was my position. Okay, cool, Yeah, so.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I could shoot, maybe not dribble as much. I feel
- 13:31Speaker 3: like I feel like I feel like knowing what you're
- 13:33Speaker 3: good like you your strengths and your weaknesses is very important.
- 13:37Speaker 3: A lot of people think they could be MJ, but
- 13:38Speaker 3: everybody ain't MJ. You know, you could work to try
- 13:41Speaker 3: to be MJ. But I was. I just knew what
- 13:43Speaker 3: I was good. I was a shooter.
- 13:44Speaker 5: He was like Steph Curry.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Now I would say Steph, I'd say more like a
- 13:49Speaker 3: like a Ray Allen, Okay, because Ray Allen wasn't going
- 13:52Speaker 3: to just take up the ball every time. Like he
- 13:54Speaker 3: wasn't taking the ball. He's probably gonna go sit in
- 13:56Speaker 3: the corner or like wait for a screen, off ball
- 13:59Speaker 3: and move around, run around.
- 14:00Speaker 4: So we look forward to seeing you in some celebrity
- 14:02Speaker 4: basketball games, is what you're saying.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Man, tell them they're not ready for me, but that
- 14:07Speaker 3: you can dribble. No, I could shoot, then.
- 14:12Speaker 5: Get at the ball to me and then I could
- 14:13Speaker 5: do that. I can finish you.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I can give them twenty no dribbles.
- 14:16Speaker 4: That's what I'm talking about.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Spot.
- 14:18Speaker 2: We will be right back with more of The Baller
- 14:20Speaker 2: Alert Show. You're listening to a special edition of The
- 14:25Speaker 2: Baller Alert Show.
- 14:26Speaker 3: It's good to do, no baby, and you are now
- 14:28Speaker 3: tuned in to the Baller Alert Show.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Like, Bob, Now you're graduating in June. How are you
- 14:34Speaker 4: gonna go? Are you gonna walk? Oh? Graduation?
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, so that's gonna be crazy though, Like yeah, no, no,
- 14:42Speaker 3: we're not.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Like how y'all gonna pull that off? Like, how how
- 14:45Speaker 4: you're gonna pull this off?
- 14:48Speaker 3: I'm not I mean, I'm not the first. I don't
- 14:49Speaker 3: think I'm the first person to like graduate with like
- 14:51Speaker 3: people knowing them.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Okay, in your school, I don't think so, Oh my
- 14:55Speaker 4: California talking about your school though, Like that's got to
- 14:57Speaker 4: be pandemonium a little.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Bit because it's normal. Now, Okay, school normal, not like
- 15:02Speaker 3: it's not too much going.
- 15:03Speaker 4: To wait, you're still going to school.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty true, like people that say stuff, but
- 15:07Speaker 3: it's not like cameras in my face walking up like
- 15:10Speaker 3: it's so regular, like it regular. It's more like just
- 15:13Speaker 3: like say, take the musical my day. Day to day.
- 15:16Speaker 3: School is like just a kid that's like I guess
- 15:18Speaker 3: popular just to pro in Atlanta. I think it's the
- 15:21Speaker 3: school I go to.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Okay, what kind of school do you go to? Is
- 15:24Speaker 5: it like a performing arts school?
- 15:25Speaker 4: Or there are other big popular kids in your school,
- 15:31Speaker 4: So you're the most popular kid in the school.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I guess. I really don't like saying that, but yeah.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I guess you want to be regular so bad?
- 15:38Speaker 4: You're not, bro, you got the light on you.
- 15:40Speaker 3: It's like sweet, It's like it's like it's very.
- 15:42Speaker 4: It's a very select few people that have the light.
- 15:44Speaker 4: You have the light, young brother. You have to accept
- 15:47Speaker 4: that do a.
- 15:47Speaker 6: Lot of You get a lot of people just wanting
- 15:49Speaker 6: to be your friend for popularity or no.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I don't talk to people. Okay, I'm kind of like
- 15:55Speaker 3: the thing is like I'll talk to people like, but
- 15:58Speaker 3: I got to see like it's a reason to talk
- 16:00Speaker 3: to Like I'm not just talking to everybody.
- 16:02Speaker 4: It's hard to get people. It's hard for them to
- 16:04Speaker 4: get into your space. You're a little bubble.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah they could say something to me, but that's not
- 16:07Speaker 3: that doesn't get them in like the same rooms as mere,
- 16:10Speaker 3: like the same friends you.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Grew up with.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, that's how it's going to say.
- 16:15Speaker 4: You're not switching up. Nobody knew no.
- 16:18Speaker 6: But about the what about the girls at your school?
- 16:20Speaker 6: How do how do they react to you?
- 16:22Speaker 3: I'm sure they they like what's going on?
- 16:25Speaker 4: You know?
- 16:25Speaker 5: I'm saying, do you get a lot of girls approaching
- 16:28Speaker 5: you a girl friend?
- 16:29Speaker 3: Nobody? Nobody comes up to me?
- 16:31Speaker 5: Okay, do they go into your cat?
- 16:33Speaker 3: That's got to be I mean a little bit. My
- 16:35Speaker 3: damns aren't too crazy. I feel like they could be
- 16:36Speaker 3: worse than they are.
- 16:38Speaker 5: What does that mean?
- 16:39Speaker 3: What it like? It could be more? It could be,
- 16:41Speaker 3: it could be it could be more. In my DM
- 16:43Speaker 3: th it is it's like, it's.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Like, is that like less than one hundred?
- 16:48Speaker 3: They're a hundred plus. But I'm saying, I'm saying, like
- 16:51Speaker 3: it's not what people may think, like to SNY four,
- 16:53Speaker 3: what you think an artists are like a young kid
- 16:55Speaker 3: that just had to hit song blow up? You think
- 16:58Speaker 3: it's way crazy, like tat you my DM is Okay,
- 17:00Speaker 3: I get it, but it's not.
- 17:01Speaker 5: I mean that's a lot now, one hundred plus d ms.
- 17:04Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, not not the quantity but
- 17:06Speaker 3: necessary it's what it is.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Oh like they're just saying nice song or.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah it's it's something crazy, but it's not as much
- 17:11Speaker 3: like it's not like little baby dms you little I'm
- 17:14Speaker 3: just assuming like I mean his little baby.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Did you have a girlfriend before the song blew up?
- 17:23Speaker 3: Did you?
- 17:24Speaker 4: I'll just be working, so you just be having friends.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yeah, just be working.
- 17:29Speaker 4: I can't appreciate. I can't appreciate that you're not letting
- 17:31Speaker 4: this get to your head because eighteen year old about
- 17:34Speaker 4: to graduate high school with the number one on radio
- 17:38Speaker 4: Urban record Like I'm lit.
- 17:40Speaker 3: It's like it's like okay, boom, Like what's the number
- 17:42Speaker 3: one that's out because then it's.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Like any any number one, it would be number one charts.
- 17:48Speaker 6: It's up there. But you know TIK talk about to
- 17:53Speaker 6: go away allegedly, well yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Oh damn.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Let me ask you, because you're you're a young guy,
- 17:58Speaker 4: what do you think about that? Do you is going away?
- 18:00Speaker 4: Everybody your age to telling me that TikTok is and.
- 18:04Speaker 6: It helped you a lot because the song blew up
- 18:06Speaker 6: on TikTok and everybody around the you know globe was
- 18:09Speaker 6: doing it.
- 18:10Speaker 3: TikTok has played a very important role with music within
- 18:13Speaker 3: the past like four years. Right, there's too much money
- 18:16Speaker 3: in TikTok, way too much money, which I think, like
- 18:20Speaker 3: that could be a scary part. So like I really
- 18:23Speaker 3: don't have too much of an opinion. I wanted to
- 18:25Speaker 3: stay like it would be nice if it stayed at
- 18:27Speaker 3: least into another like platform came around, because if not,
- 18:29Speaker 3: we'd be naked. We'd have Instagram. But Instagram has been
- 18:33Speaker 3: off for a long time. I feel like we need
- 18:34Speaker 3: that new if we're going to get rid of it,
- 18:36Speaker 3: we need that new.
- 18:37Speaker 6: So for up and coming artists and you know artists
- 18:41Speaker 6: out there who are on TikTok. When you say there's
- 18:44Speaker 6: a lot of money to be made on TikTok.
- 18:46Speaker 3: What do you mean, so like you have to think
- 18:48Speaker 3: there are people that are not maybe I wouldn't say rich, right,
- 18:52Speaker 3: but on the way to being rich off of just
- 18:53Speaker 3: going live and just talking or like responding to comments.
- 18:58Speaker 3: And they're regular people, like they're not necessarily like celebrities,
- 19:01Speaker 3: but eventually they could become a celebrity just off of
- 19:04Speaker 3: they're on TikTok. They're looking at commis, they're yelling out
- 19:06Speaker 3: people's names and saying thank you for donating to me,
- 19:08Speaker 3: and that's going viral. There are people that are like
- 19:10Speaker 3: eating eggshells online, like selling candy. There's somebody right now
- 19:14Speaker 3: on live on a TikTok shop selling candy that you
- 19:17Speaker 3: can go to the store to get. It just looks
- 19:19Speaker 3: better on your phone, and they're gonna buy it. That's
- 19:21Speaker 3: so crazy to me. Over they're overpaying too, Like it's wow,
- 19:25Speaker 3: it's just too much money. They are artists aside from
- 19:27Speaker 3: the artist stuff, like we know, let's talk about artist stuff.
- 19:29Speaker 3: People songs you could leak a snippet, it's gonna go
- 19:31Speaker 3: viral and them that's the next one you go with,
- 19:33Speaker 3: Like before you even have to test the waters with
- 19:35Speaker 3: dropping the song, TikTok is your first tester.
- 19:38Speaker 6: I just acted as a black creator because a lot
- 19:41Speaker 6: of black creators had issues with TikTok and them, you know,
- 19:46Speaker 6: putting their their their art up and not getting compensated
- 19:49Speaker 6: like a white TikToker.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not familiar with that honestly, or that what
- 19:53Speaker 3: you're exactly what you're talking about. I haven't heard anything
- 19:56Speaker 3: about that. I feel like it's just there's issues within everything.
- 20:01Speaker 3: There's never a time where everybody would be satisfied. I
- 20:03Speaker 3: think that's just the world, not even just the world
- 20:05Speaker 3: of business, but I think that's just life. Like there
- 20:07Speaker 3: will never be just this perfect Cinderella story with any platform,
- 20:10Speaker 3: any business or anything like. There will be there always
- 20:13Speaker 3: will be a negative thing or negative story, but there
- 20:16Speaker 3: also will be positive things. I think it's just for
- 20:18Speaker 3: us to gauge what's best for us and maneuver throughout
- 20:21Speaker 3: this world the best way we can.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Wise words three wise eighteen year old younger.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Everyone know name mystery. So today, like I said, you
- 20:33Speaker 6: have Silk City that is like going crazy remix. Yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 6: the remix, And you said everybody reached out to you
- 20:41Speaker 6: via DM.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Yeah, everybody just show love. Man. Everybody from the city
- 20:44Speaker 3: was just getting behind me. And I think that's just
- 20:47Speaker 3: that contributed to like.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Me blowing It was easier like that for sure, I
- 20:51Speaker 4: think that's the other way around. It's legalities and all
- 20:56Speaker 4: other stuff, but it's a more organic co sign.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Everybody just show love bro me, it's crazy. I think
- 21:02Speaker 3: that's what's needed. I think in rapids, when there's a
- 21:04Speaker 3: new artist, people out to back them, especially from their hometown,
- 21:09Speaker 3: because I think if you have home, it's a lot
- 21:12Speaker 3: easier to go out and go to different markets, order
- 21:14Speaker 3: atlant and go to Texas. If you don't have home first,
- 21:16Speaker 3: I think it's like that, what do you have right? Like,
- 21:20Speaker 3: you got to have home. You gotta have the routes
- 21:22Speaker 3: right for sure.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Question now, because you're still in school, when do you
- 21:27Speaker 4: perform on weekends?
- 21:28Speaker 3: Yeah? Nice? Nice and weekends?
- 21:31Speaker 4: How does that affect you? Because you could be tired
- 21:33Speaker 4: going to school the next day.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I think being eighteen, you're not tired like maybe twenty
- 21:40Speaker 3: five year old, thirty year old.
- 21:41Speaker 5: You know, it ain't hit you yet.
- 21:44Speaker 3: I think it's times I'm tired, but I'd rather be
- 21:46Speaker 3: out tired, moving around making money, networking, meeting people, connections,
- 21:52Speaker 3: and being at home in my bed or on the game.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Now, when you travel, do your parents go with you
- 21:56Speaker 5: or no?
- 21:58Speaker 4: No, so you don't have a Mama, your or dadager, No,
- 22:02Speaker 4: you're you have this big record. Now the money is
- 22:05Speaker 4: rolling in. What are your parents saying?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Like?
- 22:07Speaker 4: Are you control of it? Are you in control of
- 22:09Speaker 4: your own money? Or does mom or dad say all right,
- 22:13Speaker 4: look x y Z.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I mean I think not even I think. I mean
- 22:19Speaker 3: my mom doesn't really like have too much to say,
- 22:22Speaker 3: like in regards to control of my life. Like I
- 22:25Speaker 3: don't see like anything I need for my mom, she's there.
- 22:28Speaker 3: So if I needed any assistance or anything, she's there.
- 22:31Speaker 3: But she doesn't. She wants She's down for me figuring
- 22:34Speaker 3: it out on my own because she knows that I'm
- 22:35Speaker 3: not going to make any dumbest decisions right or that
- 22:38Speaker 3: may not be my intentions. So yeah, like she trusts me.
- 22:43Speaker 5: What about your dad?
- 22:45Speaker 3: Same thing? Trust me?
- 22:47Speaker 6: Do they still work, go to work regular and just
- 22:50Speaker 6: live their life how they've been doing?
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah, nothing really changed, but eventually it will potentially Okay,
- 23:00Speaker 3: this day by day grounded, very grounded. Day by day
- 23:02Speaker 3: his businesses, it gets it gets crazy, you know what
- 23:04Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 23:05Speaker 4: So day by day, So when you start making some
- 23:09Speaker 4: big money, you're gonna make a big purchase. Do you
- 23:12Speaker 4: have your eyes set on something.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I like a franchise, like maybe like a Chipotle.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Okay, you like Chipotle, Yeah, Chipotle.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Is good for sure. I think I do a franchise
- 23:21Speaker 3: first rather than like start my own, so I could learn.
- 23:24Speaker 3: You know, if I have a Chipoli, Chipotle is already Chipotle.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I just got to drop it in a nice location.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Usually Chipolis Chapoli is usually gonna go wherever you put
- 23:31Speaker 3: it is Chippola. People always love Chipotlet. So I do that,
- 23:35Speaker 3: learn that business, but like having a little bit more
- 23:38Speaker 3: security because it's not my own, so it's less liability.
- 23:41Speaker 3: And after that, once that hits, then I start my
- 23:44Speaker 3: own whatever that may be within the next couple of years.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Okay, so you you are like an entrepreneur at heart.
- 23:50Speaker 5: Who instilled that in you? Was it a teacher? Was
- 23:52Speaker 5: it your mom?
- 23:53Speaker 6: Was it your coach? Like who instilled that? I want to,
- 23:56Speaker 6: you know, own something.
- 23:57Speaker 3: When I was younger, like maybe like thirteen fourteen, it
- 24:00Speaker 3: was just weird to me, like waking up knowing that,
- 24:02Speaker 3: like I can't get everything I want right now, like
- 24:07Speaker 3: not necessarily like everything in the world, because it's not
- 24:10Speaker 3: I don't want everything in the world, but it's things
- 24:11Speaker 3: I do want for myself that maybe right now at
- 24:14Speaker 3: this age I can't get because of lack a dollar
- 24:17Speaker 3: or lack of liquid, Like I don't have the money
- 24:19Speaker 3: to do it. But it's like how do I do it?
- 24:21Speaker 3: By working and learning certain things that people don't know,
- 24:24Speaker 3: because the thing is that the success, the success kicks
- 24:27Speaker 3: in once you know things that other people don't know
- 24:30Speaker 3: because the knowledge is the true like currency, really time
- 24:34Speaker 3: and time and knowledge is a true currency. Like the
- 24:36Speaker 3: dollar is cool, right, but you have to know certain
- 24:38Speaker 3: things to do with the dollar to make the dollar work.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Because the one hundred dollars bill is just one hundred
- 24:42Speaker 3: dollar bill, but you have to know what to do
- 24:44Speaker 3: with that tool to make it go. You know what
- 24:45Speaker 3: I'm saying. You can always turn one hundred to million,
- 24:48Speaker 3: but you got to know where to put it in
- 24:49Speaker 3: place at the right time. So I think for me,
- 24:52Speaker 3: that's that's it. It's just the knowledge and understanding that
- 24:54Speaker 3: time is money because people I remember people used to
- 24:56Speaker 3: tell me like, oh, you have time, you have time,
- 24:58Speaker 3: But it's like bro, nah, like what do you mean? So,
- 25:02Speaker 3: because then I'll be chilling, like I'll be on ice
- 25:04Speaker 3: for four to six years. So if I'm eighteen maybe
- 25:06Speaker 3: to like twenty four, but I just wasted six years
- 25:09Speaker 3: or nothing where that could have been six years of knowledge,
- 25:11Speaker 3: maybe not necessarily like me putting work in, but just
- 25:14Speaker 3: learning things like me learning things to middle school to now.
- 25:17Speaker 3: I feel like it's what got me here, as in
- 25:19Speaker 3: like the things I know, but it's so much more
- 25:21Speaker 3: to know. So then at thirty, when it's like that
- 25:24Speaker 3: time where people be like, oh, like you had the time,
- 25:26Speaker 3: Now it's trying to lock in at thirty. By thirty,
- 25:28Speaker 3: it's like, what do you mean where we already did
- 25:30Speaker 3: this at twenty, you know? So I just always don't.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I don't like that feeling of like not being able
- 25:35Speaker 3: to do what I want, not being able to buy
- 25:37Speaker 3: my mom certain things or provide for my family in
- 25:40Speaker 3: the way I would like to. And I think it's
- 25:42Speaker 3: just having that balance, like people's attention shouldn't just be
- 25:46Speaker 3: on necessarily negative, ignorant things, like we should be trying
- 25:49Speaker 3: to like figure it out, because I think for so
- 25:52Speaker 3: long we've been behind, right, we haven't really been on
- 25:56Speaker 3: like the other side of the ball. We've been on
- 25:59Speaker 3: the side were like the cheat codes and like the
- 26:04Speaker 3: tricks in this world were like hidden from us, right,
- 26:09Speaker 3: and a lot of times even when they're right in
- 26:10Speaker 3: front of us, we ignore them because we're not even
- 26:12Speaker 3: used to having like those tools available to us. So yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 3: I think I'm just gonna be taking advantage of every
- 26:19Speaker 3: opportunity that's presented. I feel like as an artist, I
- 26:22Speaker 3: maybe might not be the best when it comes to
- 26:25Speaker 3: like going viral or like having the most trendy moments
- 26:28Speaker 3: or being in the mix and messy, which I think
- 26:30Speaker 3: that's what makes artists go. I may not be that,
- 26:33Speaker 3: but I feel like I'm achieving my goals. As in
- 26:36Speaker 3: financial freedom.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Yeah, because you feeling with a lot of knowledge. Where
- 26:40Speaker 4: does that come from?
- 26:42Speaker 3: It really just came from me trying to figure your
- 26:43Speaker 3: stuff out. Nobody Really, my mom didn't talk to me
- 26:46Speaker 3: necessarily like oh, you're gonna turn this age and you
- 26:50Speaker 3: need to learn this stuff by this age, Like it
- 26:52Speaker 3: was not really that. My mom gave me so much freedom,
- 26:54Speaker 3: And I think the freedom is what allowed me to
- 26:56Speaker 3: find this like who I am now at this age
- 27:01Speaker 3: because I could change tomorrow, right, especially in this business,
- 27:03Speaker 3: like I could, you know, my head could. Ah. Now
- 27:06Speaker 3: I'm on a whole different thing and it's all negative
- 27:08Speaker 3: and I'm not who I once was, right, But it's
- 27:11Speaker 3: really like my mom and the freedom shit a lot, and.
- 27:14Speaker 6: I'm watching her go to work and all that is
- 27:17Speaker 6: what made you want to change things.
- 27:20Speaker 3: I would say, not not just that. I think that's
- 27:22Speaker 3: a part of it. I think that's for everybody, like
- 27:24Speaker 3: a part of it. You see, like your parents working hard,
- 27:26Speaker 3: I think it was to that. But then knowing that,
- 27:29Speaker 3: like even with the hours put it in, like with
- 27:31Speaker 3: the work or like taking care of me, it's like
- 27:34Speaker 3: there's still a lot that may not be available. Still,
- 27:39Speaker 3: no matter if it's six to eight hours of work in,
- 27:41Speaker 3: it's still something that you can't have just because you.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Can't go on vacation where you want to.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you can go on vacation after maybe a year
- 27:48Speaker 3: of saving up. So like just knowing that, but it's
- 27:50Speaker 3: like people in the world that are going whenever they
- 27:53Speaker 3: want them and it's not necessarily jealousy or chasing their
- 27:56Speaker 3: life or like trying to be them. That's not it.
- 27:58Speaker 3: It's just that, like I feel like it's so much
- 28:00Speaker 3: more to this than what a lot of people like have.
- 28:04Speaker 5: So your motivation is financial freedom, being.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Able to do whatever I want whenever I want, I think,
- 28:10Speaker 3: I think, and then people are like, oh, well then
- 28:11Speaker 3: like once you have the money, then what meant then,
- 28:14Speaker 3: Like that's when you continue the journey because you.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Create opportunities for other people who think.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Like you, right, because the journey doesn't the journey never stops.
- 28:22Speaker 3: People allow people people get in their head up and
- 28:25Speaker 3: like kind of create this like false reality like oh
- 28:28Speaker 3: the journey stopped. I made the money, and they get
- 28:30Speaker 3: stuck and they lose themselves. But I think that's when
- 28:34Speaker 3: that's when like the emotional intelligence kicks in. You have
- 28:37Speaker 3: to know, you have to be aware of what's going on,
- 28:39Speaker 3: Like you can, you can make up twenty million dollars,
- 28:42Speaker 3: but if you're not really aware of where you're at
- 28:44Speaker 3: at that time, that twenty million dollars can hurt you
- 28:46Speaker 3: more than it can help you. You know.
- 28:49Speaker 4: So it's like eighteen, that's a that's very wise logic.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Are your friends similar to her? Do you do you
- 28:55Speaker 4: strin yourself around people that have conversation like.
- 28:58Speaker 5: This with them?
- 28:59Speaker 3: I have conversations with people I think I can't really
- 29:01Speaker 3: like talk on like who those people are and say
- 29:04Speaker 3: like oh they think like this, they're like me, because
- 29:06Speaker 3: I feel like we're two different people. But I've had
- 29:09Speaker 3: conversations with people like that, but usually, like like right now,
- 29:12Speaker 3: like twenty twenty four, it's really been just like minded
- 29:17Speaker 3: like I because the thing is you can have friends,
- 29:18Speaker 3: and a lot of your best friends may not be
- 29:20Speaker 3: the most like minded individuals, like in regards to how
- 29:23Speaker 3: you guys may think, but that doesn't make them lesser
- 29:25Speaker 3: and more of my friend. That just means it's like
- 29:27Speaker 3: a time and a place, you know, Like maybe we
- 29:30Speaker 3: could play the game twelve hours straight, but I can't
- 29:32Speaker 3: really talk to you all day about that because my
- 29:34Speaker 3: head is on like trying to get it in a
- 29:36Speaker 3: different way, you know. So I think it's just case
- 29:39Speaker 3: by case, Like I have friends that like might wake
- 29:42Speaker 3: up a da da da, like I just read this
- 29:45Speaker 3: on TikTok or this book, like tell me more about
- 29:47Speaker 3: this because they might think I know a little bit more.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Then it'll be that's how the conversation will start.
- 29:51Speaker 6: So and I love this conversation because you're just putting
- 29:55Speaker 6: a lot of your peers and younger people on game
- 29:59Speaker 6: and older people too.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Is everybody don't get it?
- 30:01Speaker 6: What are a couple more things that people can do
- 30:04Speaker 6: and to be conscious of in their everyday life to
- 30:07Speaker 6: you know, move forward into.
- 30:11Speaker 5: What their goals are for whatever they may be.
- 30:14Speaker 3: The number one thing I feel like for is like
- 30:15Speaker 3: maybe young teens or like kids right now and well
- 30:19Speaker 3: my generation, I feel like right now what we need
- 30:21Speaker 3: is we just need clarity and like clearing the fog,
- 30:26Speaker 3: because there's so much fog right now, right it's so
- 30:28Speaker 3: much negativity or not even just negativity, let's just say
- 30:31Speaker 3: like rarah in general that like maybe are just distractions
- 30:35Speaker 3: from what the bigger picture is. But me, I have
- 30:39Speaker 3: to understand that everybody is on their own journey, like
- 30:43Speaker 3: their own journey and their own path to where like
- 30:45Speaker 3: what I might think is right, Oh no, right now
- 30:47Speaker 3: at this age, you should know this. You should know this.
- 30:49Speaker 3: There's never just a right time, Like it's never just
- 30:51Speaker 3: the right now. It's just everybody has their own time.
- 30:54Speaker 3: So I feel like as long as they know what
- 30:56Speaker 3: they want for themselves, and that's the biggest thing. I
- 30:58Speaker 3: feel like everybody knows what they don't want, but nobody
- 30:59Speaker 3: know what they want. So I think, once you know
- 31:02Speaker 3: what you want and just get that, and it's so
- 31:04Speaker 3: many different ways to get it. I didn't have to, Like,
- 31:06Speaker 3: if I wanted, I was already big business before the
- 31:08Speaker 3: rap popped.
- 31:09Speaker 5: Big business.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's like if the if the if the
- 31:13Speaker 3: mind was already on big business. I didn't really need this.
- 31:15Speaker 3: This was just the extra though, right, I don't. I
- 31:18Speaker 3: might not be the most turned up or the best
- 31:20Speaker 3: rapper for like maybe headlines or drama, but it's like
- 31:24Speaker 3: on the side that I love, I'm alright, you know
- 31:27Speaker 3: what I'm saying. So that ship whatever, whatever they want,
- 31:30Speaker 3: they got to just get it. It's not too much
- 31:32Speaker 3: to it researching.
- 31:33Speaker 2: We'll be right back with more of The Baller Alert Show.
- 31:39Speaker 2: You're listening to a special edition of The Baller Alert Show.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good to doing, no baby, and you are
- 31:44Speaker 3: now tuned in to The Baller Alert Show, like Bob, do.
- 31:47Speaker 4: You when you're doing when you're making your records like
- 31:49Speaker 4: I saw, I remember when you brought that up. You
- 31:52Speaker 4: wanted to do you want it to be like a
- 31:54Speaker 4: little dancy that day or whatever? Do you do you
- 31:57Speaker 4: have a theme like every day, like oh, I'm gonna
- 32:00Speaker 4: be on this type of vibe today. Do you theme
- 32:03Speaker 4: it out each day and you decide how you make
- 32:05Speaker 4: your records that way, or you just kind of it's
- 32:08Speaker 4: basically however you're feeling.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Usually like when I listen to a beat, right, the
- 32:12Speaker 3: beat usually sets the tone.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Okay, right, smart man.
- 32:16Speaker 3: But it's it's times, especially with like the music business,
- 32:19Speaker 3: not just making music, but the music business. It's times
- 32:23Speaker 3: where an artists may need this type of record toward
- 32:28Speaker 3: that might be the like maybe right now I need
- 32:30Speaker 3: a dancy record, so I'll be in that mindset of
- 32:32Speaker 3: like okay today aside, like I'm gonna look for the
- 32:35Speaker 3: beat that fits what I'm feeling, like what I know
- 32:38Speaker 3: I need. Yeah, so I use It's not just one.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I think it's all strategic. Like sometimes the best is
- 32:45Speaker 3: like do maybe, okay, make make this like whatever the
- 32:50Speaker 3: beat tells you to make, like the tone or whatever
- 32:52Speaker 3: it gives off. Didn't do that? Cool, But that's more
- 32:54Speaker 3: like freelance, Like when it's the structure, the objectives are set,
- 32:58Speaker 3: and you know what needs to be done, then it's like, Okay,
- 33:02Speaker 3: right now, I could use this form my album, so
- 33:04Speaker 3: I'm gonna make this. So I think it's just.
- 33:06Speaker 6: Case by case when it comes to your album nights
- 33:08Speaker 6: and weekends, what is some of the reception that you've
- 33:11Speaker 6: been getting from your.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Album, appreciating the versatility. I think a lot of those
- 33:16Speaker 3: singles were already going up to whur like most of
- 33:19Speaker 3: them were maybe like fillers, like a lot of the
- 33:22Speaker 3: A lot of the songs and album were good songs,
- 33:24Speaker 3: but like the key ones like Soilk City, back it
- 33:28Speaker 3: up another dance record going up five see through DDG
- 33:32Speaker 3: like those records. Is what did it like to make okay?
- 33:35Speaker 3: Like to where I'm happy with the album because every
- 33:40Speaker 3: one to eleven or one to fourteen doesn't have to
- 33:42Speaker 3: hit really like it could be a good song, but
- 33:44Speaker 3: like the hit, as long as you got the two
- 33:46Speaker 3: or three, you're good. And I feel like that's what
- 33:48Speaker 3: people appreciate and people are saying, I want very smart.
- 33:53Speaker 6: We were talking about the parties earlier. What is a
- 33:57Speaker 6: an Englewood party, Like.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Well, we could say la, it's like it's lit, like
- 34:03Speaker 3: it's shttle though, but it's like we that's what we love, right,
- 34:07Speaker 3: But it's lit. I mean, it's people dancing, it's girls twerking.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Is it's a lot. You just got to know when
- 34:15Speaker 3: to leave, you know what I'm saying, or just not
- 34:17Speaker 3: going at all. It's crazy.
- 34:19Speaker 5: If you leave too late, I don't know.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I always leave early.
- 34:24Speaker 4: I don't know what he called the matrix he lead
- 34:26Speaker 4: too late?
- 34:27Speaker 3: Man, I feel like, but my music is like kind
- 34:30Speaker 3: of like if you ain't been to LA Party, it's like,
- 34:33Speaker 3: that's the LA party. So see is the LA party
- 34:35Speaker 3: and it's I love the fact that, like the world
- 34:37Speaker 3: can like vibe to that, you know, because that's that's it.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Who else are you listening to outside of yourself?
- 34:43Speaker 3: A little Tyler Kanye. I'm listening to listen to any
- 34:50Speaker 3: Kendrick or not recently. No, the last album he dropped,
- 34:57Speaker 3: I did listen to it.
- 34:58Speaker 5: He kind of shaking up things right now with like
- 35:00Speaker 5: that on the Future record.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it's funny they say West Coast is dead, but
- 35:03Speaker 3: then you got baby charting and go and go. Who
- 35:06Speaker 3: said that?
- 35:07Speaker 5: Who said West Coast?
- 35:08Speaker 3: You say that? We say that at home? You don't
- 35:11Speaker 3: like the West Coast.
- 35:12Speaker 6: Dead my favorite artist?
- 35:18Speaker 3: And they say at home they say they be like,
- 35:20Speaker 3: oh we did, but it's like we got me, We
- 35:22Speaker 3: got Kendrick.
- 35:23Speaker 6: I think sometimes that people get into their own bubble,
- 35:26Speaker 6: especially people who don't really travel outside of their city
- 35:30Speaker 6: or state.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Because your ship is in full rotation in Atlanta.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we got we got got tired the creator, We
- 35:36Speaker 3: got a lot of people. I think we just looked
- 35:37Speaker 3: past that.
- 35:38Speaker 4: And and in Atlanta, we have four urban radio stations.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Usually in big cities is one or two. Yeah, we
- 35:45Speaker 4: have four. It's rotation in all four.
- 35:48Speaker 6: You guys have legends like Snoop is forever, dre is forever,
- 35:53Speaker 6: like the West Coast will never die. I love hearing
- 35:57Speaker 6: this ever like that is beyond me. That statement is crazy.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I can't wait. I really can't wait to see this
- 36:03Speaker 4: graduation because I'm really gonna be Are you gonna like
- 36:06Speaker 4: put it on TikTok?
- 36:08Speaker 3: It's gonna be everywhere. Okay, they'll probably go virable without
- 36:11Speaker 3: me posting it. Probably we'll see, Yeah, we'll see. We'll
- 36:13Speaker 3: see what happens.
- 36:14Speaker 4: I don't know that you're gonna walk across the stage.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Everything you're gonna do the dance walk across.
- 36:18Speaker 5: Got to be hilarious.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Huh. That was probably a viral.
- 36:22Speaker 5: Yeah, we gotta do the dance right now.
- 36:27Speaker 3: I'm not the best dancer. I ain't neither not the best.
- 36:30Speaker 5: It's not an excuse. Whatever your name is, do you
- 36:33Speaker 5: want to she.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Still don't want to tell us your real name. We
- 36:35Speaker 4: can we could google it.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Though, yeah, now you can't necessarily, No, you can't google it.
- 36:39Speaker 3: It's online up, but you can't google it yet. Okay,
- 36:41Speaker 3: soon soon, I'm sure it'll be.
- 36:43Speaker 5: I said something, Yeah, because your Wikipedia.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Is not up because you know the ball this baller,
- 36:49Speaker 4: So they're gonna clip this up. They're gonna put it
- 36:51Speaker 4: in the comments. His name is.
- 36:53Speaker 5: What's his real name?
- 36:55Speaker 3: Not his It is hilarious. Yeah, I wouldn't be mad
- 36:58Speaker 3: at it though.
- 36:58Speaker 4: We go viral for them all as dumbest shiit?
- 37:02Speaker 5: What's three? One old baby name? Nights the weekends available? Now, man,
- 37:05Speaker 5: we appreciate you something about the yeah, every one old
- 37:09Speaker 5: baby the mystery. Did you feel a little comfortable or
- 37:13Speaker 5: with us now or yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Just because you came to there, I got got the
- 37:18Speaker 4: you know, the West Coast nikes.
- 37:21Speaker 3: For you. That's super West Coast.
- 37:22Speaker 5: It's super West Coast out whoever?
- 37:25Speaker 4: We for sure, hey.
- 37:27Speaker 6: Man, Before we get out of here, though, we do
- 37:29Speaker 6: have a pep talk with through one o baby.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Yo, it's good as doing old baby words of advice
- 37:34Speaker 3: from me, I would just say, whatever is you want
- 37:36Speaker 3: to do, do it it could be cliche or something,
- 37:39Speaker 3: but I feel like that's what I did. I just
- 37:41Speaker 3: I did what I wanted to do when it worked.
- 37:44Speaker 3: But it only worked because I stayed consistent. I was
- 37:46Speaker 3: confident in myself not to rely on anybody else for
- 37:49Speaker 3: like the the like drive, Like nobody had to like
- 37:52Speaker 3: necessarily motivate me. The work was the motivation. The reward
- 37:58Speaker 3: from working was the motive. I don't really need anybody
- 38:01Speaker 3: to like sit behind me and tell me, oh no,
- 38:03Speaker 3: do this, do this, do this or this. You got it.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I always knew I had it, so I did it.
