- 0:08Speaker 3: That's what that smell is.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Nice.

- 1:07Speaker 1: Dream What's up? I'm welcome to... What's our show? Are
- 1:16Speaker 1: we going to have a blooper reel? We do every week.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It's called our show.
- 1:23Speaker 7: It'll be funny later when that asshole story is in there.
- 1:26Speaker 1: What's up?
- 1:27Speaker 3: I'm welcome to Movie Meltdown. I am Brian.
- 1:29Speaker 1: This is Roger. I'm Tony.
- 1:30Speaker 8: I'm Greg.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I'm Marlena.
- 1:31Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:38Speaker 7: Um some of our other slacker staff has wandered off
- 1:40Speaker 7: and they're too busy sucking somewhere deciding to sit out
- 1:44Speaker 7: this week because they have fabulous lives that you know
- 1:46Speaker 7: they don't have time for movies and whatnot so whatever
- 1:50Speaker 7: yeah so i guess we can uh skip them and
- 1:53Speaker 7: roll on into this week's geek activities so mine uh
- 1:57Speaker 7: i actually joined everybody else about a year ago and
- 2:00Speaker 7: uh i watched shutter island Which I don't have the
- 2:03Speaker 7: problem with it that everybody else here seemed to have.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I'm interested in seeing it. I actually kind of liked it.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I liked the story.
- 2:10Speaker 7: And I don't have the huge issues with Leo that
- 2:12Speaker 7: certain people do.
- 2:14Speaker 5: I've always liked Leo. I've always liked him. I've always
- 2:17Speaker 5: liked him. Like ever since Basketball Diaries, I'm like, I
- 2:20Speaker 5: kind of like this cat. Even though it's a terrible movie,
- 2:23Speaker 5: very depressing, I want to kill myself. But since I lived,
- 2:25Speaker 5: I've learned to like him.
- 2:26Speaker 1: There you go.
- 2:27Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 7: No, that's the thing. It's like he's not amazing. Especially
- 2:32Speaker 7: in this one, you kind of get what you expect
- 2:34Speaker 7: out of it. He's doing that period piece thing, and
- 2:36Speaker 7: he's kind of fallen into that now. He does so
- 2:38Speaker 7: many of them now that he sort of just does
- 2:41Speaker 7: what he normally does in that kind of role. So
- 2:43Speaker 7: I'm not amazed by anything he did, but I didn't
- 2:46Speaker 7: have a problem with him. The biggest problem I've had
- 2:48Speaker 7: with him in the last six or eight years, I've noticed, is...
- 2:52Speaker 7: To me, he's not really aging like a.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Normal human being. No, he looks the same.
- 2:56Speaker 7: It's like if you get up close, you can start
- 2:58Speaker 7: to see he's starting to get old now, but he
- 3:00Speaker 7: still plays like he's about 25 tops. And yet he's
- 3:04Speaker 7: starting to like, now he's like this cop who's been
- 3:06Speaker 7: on the force for a while.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And I'm like, he should be playing like that.
- 3:09Speaker 7: 30s 35 you know but he still looks yeah kind
- 3:12Speaker 7: of like a kid sometimes i'm just like it's almost
- 3:16Speaker 7: not really to his advantage for these new roles that
- 3:18Speaker 7: he's getting now it worked fine for the first you
- 3:20Speaker 7: know 10 12 years of his career but he's starting
- 3:23Speaker 7: to they're giving him these roles for a an adult
- 3:26Speaker 7: and he has to play a grown-up now so it's
- 3:28Speaker 7: like he still kind of reads like a kid sometimes
- 3:31Speaker 7: and i think i don't know i don't know what
- 3:33Speaker 7: you can do about that leo i hate to tell
- 3:34Speaker 7: you but uh kind.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Of ingrained in him at this point.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I'm sure he's worried. Yeah, I'm sure. He's looking to
- 3:40Speaker 1: you for answers.
- 3:41Speaker 7: Those multi-million dollar paychecks he's cashing, he cries into them
- 3:44Speaker 7: every now and then.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Oh my god, do I deserve this?
- 3:47Speaker 1: Obviously, Martin Scorsese doesn't like him.
- 3:49Speaker 7: Yeah, that's why he keeps giving him money.
- 3:52Speaker 5: Well, and that's one of the main reasons why I
- 3:54Speaker 5: want to see Shutter Island is because of the Scorsese.
- 3:56Speaker 5: I love Scorsese movies just because of the way they look.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I think I'll like it even if the story is
- 4:01Speaker 5: complete utter crap. Just the way his movies look, I'm like, ugh.
- 4:04Speaker 1: It's pretty.
- 4:05Speaker 2: These look so nice.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It does look good.
- 4:06Speaker 10: I've heard the book was amazing.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You're not allowed to say that on this show. We
- 4:15Speaker 1: don't encourage reading on this show.
- 4:18Speaker 10: I can't help that I have a problem with Liam.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Whatever. I can't help it.
- 4:22Speaker 8: He's like.
- 4:27Speaker 10: I'm always aware that he's acting. I just don't buy it.
- 4:29Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 4:30Speaker 8: It's just me, I know, because other people are like, oh,
- 4:32Speaker 8: he's an amazing actor. Name it's Oscars and shit all
- 4:35Speaker 8: the time, but I'm just like.
- 4:36Speaker 10: I just... I can't watch him.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You don't believe the sham?
- 4:41Speaker 2: He doesn't deserve that.
- 4:43Speaker 7: Like I said, I'm not sold on him as the
- 4:45Speaker 7: greatest actor ever. He's sort of passable, but it's funny
- 4:47Speaker 7: how huge he is now. He really, in the last
- 4:50Speaker 7: ten years, has fully owned up to that. He is
- 4:53Speaker 7: beyond A-list celebrity now. He's your go-to leading man now.
- 4:57Speaker 7: He's kind of kicked out Tom Cruise and all the
- 4:59Speaker 7: other guys, and that's who it is now.
- 5:01Speaker 1: It goes straight to Leo.
- 5:02Speaker 10: Yeah. He was really good in What's Eating Gilbert Crepe.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Oh, my God. He was really good in that. He's amazing. Well,
- 5:09Speaker 2: he actually did go full and got away with it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 2: He was awesome. He never got full.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But he wasn't the lead actor.
- 5:15Speaker 2: No, he wasn't. He was just a small thing.
- 5:18Speaker 11: People may remember more about him in that film than
- 5:20Speaker 11: he was. He was still fantastic, but he didn't have
- 5:23Speaker 11: to carry a film.
- 5:24Speaker 7: And that's probably good, because I think that would have
- 5:26Speaker 7: thrown it off a little bit, actually.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I'll put in Juliette.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Lewis and Johnny Depp.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Juliette Lewis is kind of special, too.
- 5:35Speaker 2: She's a freakazoid. And her music sucks balls.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Whatever, she's a rock star.
- 5:42Speaker 12: I want to put her face in a fryer.
- 5:43Speaker 7: Nice.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Like a fried basket? Yeah, like.
- 5:48Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 5:49Speaker 2: That better be delicious.
- 5:51Speaker 11: I've always had a soft spot in my heart for her.
- 5:54Speaker 11: I don't know what it is about her.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I kind of like her still.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It's like California in a strangle.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I love.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Her in California.
- 6:01Speaker 7: I think it's those special roles. I think that's what
- 6:04Speaker 7: it is. I think that she comes off so... Goofy
- 6:07Speaker 7: and vulnerable. There's a little of it you have to
- 6:10Speaker 7: buy into. Sometimes she takes it too far, the other sister.
- 6:15Speaker 7: A little too special there.
- 6:17Speaker 11: That was horrible.
- 6:20Speaker 1: The other sister with.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Giovanni and Lisi. When they were both... Special.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That's our PC term of the day.
- 6:29Speaker 2: We love specials.
- 6:29Speaker 10: I'm going to have to watch the same example.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It'd be awesome if there was a special sex scene.
- 6:32Speaker 13: No.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That would've been awesome. Because they found each other.
- 6:36Speaker 5: And they found each other.
- 6:38Speaker 2: And it was like, love. And I was just waiting
- 6:40Speaker 2: for that.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It happens. It's like a mess.
- 6:44Speaker 5: It's like two badgers just fighting each.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Other or something.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You walk in on the middle of it.
- 6:50Speaker 7: They're just hitting each other with Nerf bats.
- 6:52Speaker 1: This isn't how it's... Alright, you know what? No, go ahead.
- 6:54Speaker 7: You guys have fun.
- 6:56Speaker 2: They're having a blast. It's still totally innocent.
- 7:01Speaker 9: Oh, man.
- 7:02Speaker 7: So, yeah, that was the beginning of the week, and
- 7:05Speaker 7: then I kind of watched I Sell the Dead. I'd
- 7:09Speaker 7: heard so many other people's take on it, I kind
- 7:11Speaker 7: of knew what was going on. So it's pretty much
- 7:13Speaker 7: what I expected, too.
- 7:14Speaker 2: I Sell the Dead?
- 7:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, James Joyce film, The Dead, what?
- 7:21Speaker 1: That's a Houston film, man.
- 7:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 1: We should watch that next week. Is it an older movie?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Is it like an older movie?
- 7:27Speaker 1: We talked about it like seven times on this show.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember those times.
- 7:31Speaker 8: I can't remember what it is. Is it Night of
- 7:34Speaker 8: the Hunter or something?
- 7:35Speaker 2: That actually is a good movie.
- 7:37Speaker 1: That is a good movie.
- 7:39Speaker 10: First knuckle tattoos.
- 7:41Speaker 14: Really?
- 7:43Speaker 2: No, semen have had, like, hold fast forever. Yes, I
- 7:46Speaker 2: did say that.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I didn't even say anything.
- 7:49Speaker 2: You're like, where did we just go?
- 7:56Speaker 1: Yes, that's been around forever.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I hate to say it. Pretty much since we... For
- 8:04Speaker 2: all that and the primordial ooze. Wow.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Why are you talking about ooze?
- 8:10Speaker 2: I was like primordial ooze.
- 8:12Speaker 1: No, but... It's a theme.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Sorry to just pull the whole show.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Off track here, but... Anyway, so yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 12: Welcome to Sunday Funday.
- 8:21Speaker 7: But yeah, that movie was kind of what I expected
- 8:23Speaker 7: because I've heard a million other people talk about it.
- 8:25Speaker 7: And then I wrapped up the week with a second
- 8:28Speaker 7: viewing of Kick-Ass, which does continue to kick ass.
- 8:32Speaker 1: God, it's awesome.
- 8:33Speaker 10: I've never seen it.
- 8:34Speaker 2: We watched it like three times in a row. Yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 2: we watched.
- 8:37Speaker 12: It twice in a row on one day the first
- 8:39Speaker 12: time we watched it.
- 8:40Speaker 5: And then the next day we're like, what do we
- 8:42Speaker 5: want to watch?
- 8:44Speaker 1: There's no question about it.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I just want to see McLovin with that wig on again.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Oh my god, his fucking Mustang is so bad.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I went the other way. I did not have a
- 8:53Speaker 1: finger in.
- 8:53Speaker 5: I'd just like to see Hit Girl just wipe people
- 8:56Speaker 5: out left and right. Oh my god, she climbs up
- 8:58Speaker 5: that guy and stabs him.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So, yeah, that was pretty much it for me. So,
- 9:02Speaker 1: if we want to Move on.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Well, we got a stack of, yeah, since we've really
- 9:09Speaker 5: done anything worthy.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I played Super Mario Brothers Partners in Time.
- 9:17Speaker 5: For about 80 hours while I was sick.
- 9:22Speaker 7: I like how all of your activities run in like 70,
- 9:24Speaker 7: 80 hour.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Blocks in a row.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but I can't sleep. It's just like, well, let's...
- 9:32Speaker 2: which I think is awesome forget that the world exists.
- 9:34Speaker 5: And you're like baby you feel bad because I'm ignoring
- 9:37Speaker 5: you and I'm like no that's fine go ahead and
- 9:39Speaker 5: like you know god and you're like who are you get.
- 9:42Speaker 9: Out of my house don't look at me when they
- 9:46Speaker 9: watch but we have a good friend that we work
- 9:50Speaker 9: with named Damo and he's got very eclectic movie taste
- 9:53Speaker 9: like good movie taste like I was like maybe you
- 9:55Speaker 9: would want to like listen to the show.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Or something plug and and he let us borrow a
- 10:01Speaker 5: stack of movies one of which is The Hunger that
- 10:05Speaker 5: we watched last night which I haven't seen in forever.
- 10:11Speaker 2: And I don't know who Tony Scott is. I can't
- 10:13Speaker 2: remember what Tony Scott has directed.
- 10:14Speaker 7: He's the other Scott brother. He's more of the action
- 10:19Speaker 7: stuff most of the time. Because I'm trying to like
- 10:23Speaker 7: forcibly think of what else he's done. Oh, he's like
- 10:26Speaker 7: Top Gun, I think.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 10:27Speaker 7: He's like Top Gun and they did True Romance.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 10:30Speaker 7: Yes. I mean, he's, he does a little more of
- 10:33Speaker 7: the mainstream stuff than Ridley, but Ridley's gotten a little
- 10:36Speaker 7: more mainstream as the years go on too.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Well, and The Hunger is really cool because it's, you know, the,
- 10:42Speaker 5: It's got that late 70s, early 80s vibe to it.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It's a different spin on the whole vampire.
- 10:48Speaker 5: Thing, which we're trying to figure out while we're watching
- 10:51Speaker 5: it what the rules are.
- 10:52Speaker 12: Yeah, it was weird.
- 10:53Speaker 3: It was very speculative. It's pretty much open to whatever
- 10:57Speaker 3: you wanted to think.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Because this woman is like the main succubus, and then
- 11:03Speaker 5: whoever she turns, they live for a long time, and
- 11:06Speaker 5: then they just one day rapidly age and die.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Well, no, they don't die.
- 11:09Speaker 5: They just rapidly age, and then she puts you in
- 11:11Speaker 5: a fucking box in the attic with the other ones
- 11:14Speaker 5: that are still alive.
- 11:16Speaker 3: You still feel and think and can move, apparently, because
- 11:20Speaker 3: they put fuck in her up at the end of it.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Spoiler alert. Yeah, spoiler alert. Sorry.
- 11:27Speaker 5: But it was really cool because of how, you know,
- 11:29Speaker 5: the look of it, you know, that early 80s stuff, and.
- 11:32Speaker 2: It's David Bowie. And Bowie's awesome.
- 11:35Speaker 5: And just the different take on the vampire thing is
- 11:37Speaker 5: so cool because, you know, it's so mainstream nowadays, you know,
- 11:43Speaker 5: whether you have sparkly skin or, you know, you can't
- 11:46Speaker 5: be in the sunlight or whatever.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Whether you're John C. Reilly, apparently.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 2: But it was really cool. John C. Reilly's a member
- 11:52Speaker 2: of it? It's... Just prove that.
- 11:57Speaker 10: We don't want to deal with John C. Reilly for eternity.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 12:01Speaker 2: That hair. How do you deal with that hair for eternity?
- 12:04Speaker 2: But it was awesome.
- 12:07Speaker 5: And the night before that, we watched Nadja, which is.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I don't know when it was done. It seems like
- 12:14Speaker 2: 80s also.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Probably, yeah, late 80s maybe. It's very arthouse-y.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Super arthouse-y. Presented by David Lynch. Directed by I'm not
- 12:22Speaker 5: sure who.
- 12:24Speaker 3: It had Peter Fonda in it as Van Helsing.
- 12:27Speaker 5: Which is bizarre because he had the long hair and
- 12:30Speaker 5: he acted really bizarre.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Like his face was so weird looking, like stretched out.
- 12:34Speaker 2: It looked like plastic or something. Like he was wearing
- 12:36Speaker 2: a man's clothes.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I was like, what's wrong with you, Peter Fonda? A
- 12:41Speaker 1: lot of things.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Yeah, there were parts of the movie that we liked,
- 12:44Speaker 5: and then it was like, apparently, the dawn of digital. Like,
- 12:47Speaker 5: the first type of movie that they shot digitally. And
- 12:53Speaker 5: it was really pixelated digital. Like, I hated it. Because
- 12:58Speaker 5: it would switch indiscriminately. There was no, like, okay, during
- 13:01Speaker 5: the flashbacks it would switch. It would just switch into
- 13:04Speaker 5: this pixel vision thing. that everything's blurred and you can't
- 13:06Speaker 5: see what the heck is going on. And Saul's, like,
- 13:09Speaker 5: really pissed. And then he'd go back to, oh, cool,
- 13:11Speaker 5: black and white, everything looks nice, like... But it's about
- 13:15Speaker 5: Dracula's lesbian daughter.
- 13:18Speaker 3: And brother. He was dying.
- 13:20Speaker 5: And I can't really tell you much about the movie because.
- 13:25Speaker 2: It was really bizarre. And there was no flow to it.
- 13:28Speaker 3: His lesbian daughter fell in love with this little blonde girl.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Oh, God, and I think we think... Oh, my God,
- 13:35Speaker 2: that was so disgusting.
- 13:36Speaker 1: We think.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Okay, should I tell the vampire lesbian joke first?
- 13:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Maybe I should.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Maybe you should. Okay, yeah. But she takes this... Nadia
- 13:50Speaker 2: takes this.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Girl home or whatever, and is, like, doing the whole
- 13:53Speaker 5: seducing vampirism thing.
- 13:55Speaker 2: And she's really pretty. And she starts to unbutton, like,
- 13:59Speaker 2: her pants or whatever... And you see the other girl like,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I can't believe I'm letting you do this. And then
- 14:05Speaker 2: Nadia comes up.
- 14:06Speaker 3: But it's black and white.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah. With, like, it looks like jam on her fingers.
- 14:14Speaker 2: And then there is something. She says something about her
- 14:19Speaker 2: period a little bit after that.
- 14:20Speaker 7: You might want to see a doctor about that.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And we didn't know if she went down dipping and
- 14:25Speaker 2: then came up and was, like, rubbing it on this
- 14:26Speaker 2: girl's lips. Like, oh, you're horrible.
- 14:30Speaker 1: That sounds horrible.
- 14:31Speaker 2: We're not sure what happened there. I feel uncomfortable. We
- 14:35Speaker 2: were like, did that just happen?
- 14:38Speaker 3: You know, for its.
- 14:38Speaker 12: Shitty qualities, it was really, I enjoyed it.
- 14:41Speaker 3: It was really poetic.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Yeah, very much so.
- 14:44Speaker 3: If you just ignore all the weird and... Which is
- 14:47Speaker 3: basically everything.
- 14:48Speaker 1: It's good if you ignore it.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Watch the last five minutes of the movie and you'll
- 14:52Speaker 3: be pretty happy with it.
- 14:54Speaker 5: You've kind of got to fight to find something in it,
- 14:56Speaker 5: but I think we fought and we found some goodness.
- 14:59Speaker 3: You know, I laughed a few times. The end.
- 15:02Speaker 2: So, yeah, that's kind of like.
- 15:04Speaker 5: We've got other movies that we have yet to watch
- 15:08Speaker 5: because we have a small stack of them.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And we'll tell you about those next time. Kiss, kiss, bang, bang.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I did have a John Cusack.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Marathon on Friday morning.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Yeah, gross point blank. High fidelity. I really wanted to
- 15:23Speaker 3: watch Con Air, but couldn't find it.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Lucky.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to see Nicolas Cage.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Say put the bunny in the box.
- 15:34Speaker 1: The classics.
- 15:35Speaker 2: The classics, yes. Yes, the greatest hits. And that was
- 15:38Speaker 2: basically our disconjointed weird movie-a-thon.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think there's anything else.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I think that was it.
- 15:45Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I have some really weird dreams about some Care Bears
- 15:49Speaker 3: and some 80s shit, but it's okay.
- 15:50Speaker 2: We don't have to talk about that. That's not Geek Week,
- 15:52Speaker 2: that's Crazy Time. Sorry, that's for my other session this week.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Did they record those sessions too?
- 16:00Speaker 16: Yes.
- 16:00Speaker 7: We can make that its own show.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Tony's crazy ramblings. We might have just recorded that anyway. Yeah, actually.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I think every week that is. Definitely.
- 16:11Speaker 2: So that was ours.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Alrighty then.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Please move on.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Oh, is it me?
- 16:17Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:19Speaker 11: I really didn't have much of a geek week this week,
- 16:20Speaker 11: I don't think. movie-related, I did take the kids to
- 16:26Speaker 11: see Shrek. Their mom was going out. I guess it
- 16:32Speaker 11: was Saturday in the evening.
- 16:33Speaker 2: And you poor bastard.
- 16:37Speaker 8: I know.
- 16:38Speaker 11: I've seen the first one and maybe the one that
- 16:41Speaker 11: was prior to this, whatever. I think there's like four.
- 16:46Speaker 11: And I took them to the second-run theater here in
- 16:49Speaker 11: town and which they love going to that place just
- 16:53Speaker 11: because it's just, you know, you can tell it's old and,
- 16:56Speaker 11: you know, there's people. You're not in stadium seating, all
- 16:58Speaker 11: that kind of stuff. And it actually was a really
- 17:03Speaker 11: good story. I mean, it was actually a little bit
- 17:05Speaker 11: more original for what I went into.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I'm not going to get into it because it's Shrek.
- 17:14Speaker 1: But for what it was, you know.
- 17:19Speaker 11: If you've got kids staying at your place for the weekend,
- 17:22Speaker 11: it wouldn't be the worst one to watch. Along those
- 17:26Speaker 11: same lines with children, because I guess everything goes through that.
- 17:29Speaker 1: They did watch, it.
- 17:32Speaker 11: Was a British-Scottish film, Five Kids and It. It was
- 17:38Speaker 11: made about ten years ago, I suppose. about some kids.
- 17:41Speaker 11: It was a lot like a C.S. Lewis story, Chronicles
- 17:45Speaker 11: of Narnia. The kids go away during the war to
- 17:47Speaker 11: their crazy uncle's house, who was Kenneth Branagh.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Nice.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Kenneth Branagh is awesome.
- 17:51Speaker 11: He was absolutely fabulous in it. He played the crazy
- 17:56Speaker 11: uncle and just... He went all out. Everybody actually in
- 18:01Speaker 11: the family was crazy. His son was about 10. He
- 18:05Speaker 11: had one of the coolest mullets I've seen in years.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Nice. And he.
- 18:09Speaker 11: He had this mad scientist laboratory in the basement of
- 18:13Speaker 11: this castle in Scotland where the kids stayed. And he
- 18:18Speaker 11: liked to make monsters and then dissect them. He was
- 18:22Speaker 11: like this evil scientist.
- 18:24Speaker 7: Well, he doesn't like to do that.
- 18:26Speaker 1: He was a shut-in crazy kid.
- 18:29Speaker 11: The five kids come and they find a supposedly fairy,
- 18:32Speaker 11: but he's like a turtle shell monster. Guy on a
- 18:35Speaker 11: beach that grants them wishes. And it's a really cute story,
- 18:40Speaker 11: but just to watch Kenneth Branagh be crazy is worth it.
- 18:44Speaker 11: It was a lot of fun, and they had a
- 18:46Speaker 11: lot of fun with it.
- 18:47Speaker 5: There are a lot of people that have hated Kenneth
- 18:51Speaker 5: Branagh because he's an actor.
- 18:55Speaker 2: But I've always kind of liked Kenneth Branagh. and everything
- 18:57Speaker 2: is done.
- 18:58Speaker 7: Well, he's got such a weird thing because he comes
- 19:00Speaker 7: from this super high-end pedigree, but then he turns around
- 19:04Speaker 7: and makes stuff like Frankenstein.
- 19:06Speaker 2: It was in the Harry Potter movie.
- 19:07Speaker 1: In the Harry Potter, yes.
- 19:08Speaker 7: I mean, he does stuff that's... Who was he in
- 19:10Speaker 7: the Harry Potter movie?
- 19:11Speaker 2: The schmuck.
- 19:11Speaker 1: The crazy teacher.
- 19:13Speaker 2: It's like full of... Remember when there was the second one?
- 19:17Speaker 3: The one that lets the fairies go and is like,
- 19:19Speaker 3: you gotta take care of this.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I'm a dick.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 19:22Speaker 11: Yeah, the character that he's supposed to be the legendary wizard.
- 19:28Speaker 12: I don't know the name, like his birthday.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Harry Potter's birthday. September 2nd, 1986.
- 19:33Speaker 13: Anyway.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I said lie.
- 19:39Speaker 11: Aside from that, I didn't do a whole lot. I've
- 19:42Speaker 11: been playing the original Final Fantasy.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Ooh, nice.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Speaking of Super Geeks. I've played that.
- 19:50Speaker 11: I've played that many times throughout my life.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Wow.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I just recently got it for the Wii. Okay, awesome.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Downloaded it. Played it one time through, and I'm actually
- 19:59Speaker 1: on my second go-around. Was that when the first Wave
- 20:02Speaker 1: of PlayStation? That was, yeah. No, that was the original NES.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It was the original.
- 20:07Speaker 7: I was trying to think, yeah, because they did a
- 20:09Speaker 7: bunch of them on Super Nintendo, too. That's when they
- 20:11Speaker 7: got it. three yeah three and four i was trying
- 20:14Speaker 7: to it was like.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Which was actually three years something.
- 20:18Speaker 7: I just remember the big hype on that first one
- 20:20Speaker 7: that came out on playstation i think that's what i'm
- 20:21Speaker 7: remembering that what was that seven or something yeah because
- 20:24Speaker 7: that was huge like people lost their damn minds when
- 20:27Speaker 7: that three discs yeah yeah it.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Was massive epic story and.
- 20:32Speaker 11: But yeah i remember yeah my roommate had i i
- 20:35Speaker 11: played it all of his buddies played it i would
- 20:37Speaker 11: sit and watch while he played it and then turn
- 20:39Speaker 11: around and play the same thing so yeah it was
- 20:41Speaker 11: pretty bad Awesome. Yeah, I'll play any of those games,
- 20:46Speaker 11: and unfortunately I'll play this one repeatedly, I guess.
- 20:50Speaker 5: I'm a big retro game fan because it's how we
- 20:53Speaker 5: grew up in that time period.
- 20:55Speaker 2: It's just one of those things that I can't let go.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I get so much enjoyment out of.
- 20:59Speaker 5: The back-to-basics gaming, the gameplay is so much more.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Better, more bestest.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Were we playing the other night, like, street fighter knockoff game.
- 21:08Speaker 5: I was playing uh old school streets of rage and
- 21:11Speaker 5: uh final fight the original oh yeah and so yeah.
- 21:14Speaker 7: It's just well the old ones were just so based
- 21:17Speaker 7: in like basic strategy like it really they're they're you
- 21:21Speaker 7: know they run so much two buttons yeah but it's
- 21:24Speaker 7: like they were running on the computer earlier today in
- 21:27Speaker 7: the corner some ad for something else but it had
- 21:29Speaker 7: pac-man going and i'm just looking at it going that's
- 21:31Speaker 7: such a awesome, basic strategy.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Like, there's ten.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Things to do in the entire game, but yet, it
- 21:38Speaker 7: will kick your ass, you know?
- 21:39Speaker 1: It's like, it's just such... Yeah, it's just such an
- 21:42Speaker 1: awesome setup.
- 21:45Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Anybody says they beat Hubert, they're lying. That game's impossible.
- 21:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 5: No matter how many times you hit the thing and
- 21:52Speaker 5: keep changing colors, what.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Do you do there?
- 21:55Speaker 1: Die.
- 21:56Speaker 2: That's what you do. I think Corley or whatever, the
- 21:58Speaker 2: snake and the pig.
- 22:00Speaker 7: yeah so yeah the old ones are just yeah such
- 22:03Speaker 7: a i mean you can improve on certain things about
- 22:06Speaker 7: them but i think there's a basic level of just
- 22:08Speaker 7: skill and strategy that just doesn't get any better than
- 22:11Speaker 7: that essence.
- 22:12Speaker 11: Version there i i another one that was my wife's
- 22:15Speaker 11: favorite that we have for the wii is kid icarus
- 22:18Speaker 11: and that is it's got to be the most difficult
- 22:20Speaker 11: game i've ever played it took me to grow.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Up before i beat it i could never beat as
- 22:24Speaker 2: a kid and i.
- 22:24Speaker 11: Grew up and i was like oh we're replaying you
- 22:27Speaker 11: know play around with it now and i'm like how
- 22:29Speaker 11: did i do this is it kind of have the
- 22:30Speaker 11: patience to die 80 times in a row just trying
- 22:34Speaker 11: to get one up one level you had nothing else
- 22:36Speaker 11: to do he sucks So kids' stuff and old video games,
- 22:52Speaker 11: I guess, is all I've done.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Right on.
- 22:53Speaker 1: It's perfect. Yeah.
- 22:56Speaker 7: That's usually what the rest of us do when we
- 22:57Speaker 7: don't have kids.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Let's go to Chuck E.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Cheese.
- 23:00Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 10: Dude, I love Chuck E.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Cheese.
- 23:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:02Speaker 2: The place scares the hell out of me.
- 23:04Speaker 12: I do not go to Chuck E.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Cheese. I've been there once, and I walked straight the
- 23:07Speaker 3: fuck out.
- 23:08Speaker 10: I kind of prefer Gaddyland, personally. Me too.
- 23:10Speaker 12: There's no animatronic shit scaring the.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Hell out of me. Pizza.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I do.
- 23:14Speaker 10: Pizza sounds good.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Papalino, but they're not open on Sundays.
- 23:16Speaker 7: What?
- 23:17Speaker 10: It's a crime against humanity.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And against Italy.
- 23:21Speaker 2: And Italy.
- 23:22Speaker 7: And New York.
- 23:23Speaker 10: Spinelli's isn't as good, but they're open.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I used to love Spinelli's. I used to want to
- 23:28Speaker 3: be like, if I ever moved out of state, I
- 23:31Speaker 3: would come back.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Just for Spinelli's.
- 23:33Speaker 8: Why?
- 23:34Speaker 3: Because it was so good, because I never had that
- 23:37Speaker 3: kind of pizza before. The only thing I'd ever had
- 23:40Speaker 3: was like.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Maybe I shouldn't express my views.
- 23:42Speaker 7: Maybe not.
- 23:42Speaker 1: It was delicious. It was delicious.
- 23:44Speaker 3: It was greasy. It was huge. You folded it up
- 23:46Speaker 3: and shoved it in your mouth.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 23:47Speaker 10: That's what she said.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Wow.
- 23:52Speaker 1: The greasy part. That's creepy.
- 23:54Speaker 2: No, that's hot.
- 23:55Speaker 7: You could probably get away with the folding, but the
- 24:01Speaker 7: greasy bit. Oh, yeah.
- 24:02Speaker 1: That's the way.
- 24:03Speaker 7: She likes it.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Joanie's imploded now.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Come back to us. It's big and greasy. You just
- 24:20Speaker 2: got to fold it.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Oh, my God. That fixes everything.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 24:24Speaker 2: You got to origami that shit.
- 24:26Speaker 6: It's a crane.
- 24:28Speaker 2: It's a pterodactyl. It's a brooch.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It's a brooch.
- 24:32Speaker 2: It's a brooch.
- 24:33Speaker 7: It's a hot.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It's a load of snake. All righty.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Marlena, geek activity.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Back into it. Did you do any folding this week?
- 24:46Speaker 1: I think you shut her down again. Sorry.
- 24:50Speaker 10: I have water in my mouth. I was trying not
- 24:52Speaker 10: to choke.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I was wondering what was happening. Is she throwing up
- 24:55Speaker 2: right now?
- 24:57Speaker 7: We've dodged like three spit takes already. The eggplant almost
- 25:03Speaker 7: got me.
- 25:04Speaker 10: Diet Lime Pepsi came out my nose really bad once.
- 25:07Speaker 10: It was not fun.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Diet Lime Pepsi?
- 25:10Speaker 10: Diet Lime Pepsi.
- 25:10Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 25:11Speaker 10: It was so good.
- 25:12Speaker 14: Really?
- 25:12Speaker 10: It was delicious. I missed that.
- 25:14Speaker 3: We were talking about Coke Zero. Pepsi Clear the other day.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Invisible soda.
- 25:20Speaker 8: Gross.
- 25:23Speaker 10: I got Netflix this week.
- 25:24Speaker 17: Awesome.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Nice. You're not going to get anything done ever.
- 25:27Speaker 8: Well, I didn't realize, like, I've been around people who
- 25:31Speaker 8: had Netflix and we used to look to watch movies
- 25:33Speaker 8: and stuff.
- 25:34Speaker 10: They didn't really have that much that was.
- 25:36Speaker 8: On the instant queue, but it seems like they've added
- 25:39Speaker 8: a whole bunch lately.
- 25:42Speaker 10: This week I watched Little Shop.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Of Horrors, of course. Good one, good one.
- 25:45Speaker 10: Rick Moranis Obsession. I started watching a couple of movies.
- 25:50Speaker 8: I started watching this movie, which looks like it might
- 25:52Speaker 8: be kind of good. I don't remember what it's called,
- 25:54Speaker 8: but I know it has Johnny Lee Miller in it.
- 25:57Speaker 8: It takes place in like 17... 100s or 1800s in England.
- 26:03Speaker 8: But I fell asleep after the eyeball gouging part.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Which is always fun.
- 26:08Speaker 8: I don't know how I fell asleep after that, but
- 26:10Speaker 8: I did manage to do that.
- 26:13Speaker 10: I've had really bad insomnia.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Good for Netflix. Yeah, I just watched.
- 26:19Speaker 10: Movies, but I can't remember them. I can't remember anything
- 26:23Speaker 10: I've done this week so far.
- 26:24Speaker 1: So, not very interesting. Green is shutting down.
- 26:27Speaker 10: Yeah, it does.
- 26:28Speaker 8: That after about 90 hours with four hours of sleep total.
- 26:34Speaker 3: You could have played Mario and you would have felt
- 26:35Speaker 3: so much better.
- 26:36Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. Or watch Black Star Galactica.
- 26:38Speaker 8: Yep.
- 26:39Speaker 2: That's always good.
- 26:41Speaker 1: She's all about it.
- 26:42Speaker 2: It's awesome. I could give you lots of.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Things to marathon.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 26:46Speaker 7: Everything is in 60 to 70 hour blocks.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 26:50Speaker 8: I would have also had no electricity, so I've had
- 26:52Speaker 8: to stay at my mom's house, but she has cable,
- 26:54Speaker 8: so it's okay.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
- 26:56Speaker 1: No, it's not a good trade-off. It's hard to use
- 26:57Speaker 1: Netflix without electricity.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it is.
- 27:02Speaker 8: And plus, without my air conditioner on, I can hear
- 27:04Speaker 8: my neighbors talking upstairs, and they just talk about dumb shit,
- 27:07Speaker 8: and I just don't even want to hear it.
- 27:08Speaker 13: Dumb shit.
- 27:08Speaker 10: And I'm like, ugh, shut your face.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Did you say that through the wall?
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I did. She's got a broom.
- 27:15Speaker 5: Stop having conversations.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Just whisper it.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Shut your face. Get the glass.
- 27:23Speaker 1: They're like, there's a ghost here and he hates us talking.
- 27:25Speaker 2: He says that we're uninteresting boars.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Ghosts are jerks.
- 27:31Speaker 10: That happens.
- 27:33Speaker 2: That happens.
- 27:34Speaker 8: There are ghosts in my house because they like to
- 27:36Speaker 8: steal my hammers and my tools. If you sit anything
- 27:39Speaker 8: that's like a tool, like a hammer, a screwdriver, a
- 27:42Speaker 8: tape measure, anything down, it'll disappear.
- 27:46Speaker 10: I don't know why it does that.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that happened to me for a while.
- 27:47Speaker 2: They might just be collecting under the couch or in
- 27:49Speaker 2: the cushions. I don't have cushions. About this insomnia.
- 27:54Speaker 1: How bad is it? It's pretty bad. Ghost stealing tools.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 28:00Speaker 1: The ghost of Bob Vila.
- 28:02Speaker 10: I'm about to, you know.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Is he dead?
- 28:04Speaker 3: No.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Not yet. I thought he.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Was, but then I saw him on a commercial yesterday
- 28:09Speaker 3: for Sherman Williams. So I was like, oh, he's still alive.
- 28:11Speaker 1: DIY.
- 28:13Speaker 7: I'm the ghost of Bob Vila.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm here to sell you paint.
- 28:16Speaker 10: I want the ghost of Billy Mays.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 28:19Speaker 2: Who wants that?
- 28:20Speaker 3: Really?
- 28:21Speaker 12: I'm dead!
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'm dead! I'm Billy Mays and I'm dead.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I'm here to tell you about the afterworld cleaner.
- 28:28Speaker 10: That was an episode of South Park, actually. The ghost
- 28:30Speaker 10: of Billy Mays is.
- 28:31Speaker 1: On an episode of South Park.
- 28:33Speaker 2: It's good he still gets work.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 10: He was haunting Ike. It was really funny. I'm going
- 28:42Speaker 10: to look that up and watch that.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And you're hours and hours of not sleeping. Yeah.
- 28:48Speaker 10: Oh, I also entertain myself.
- 28:51Speaker 8: This isn't related to movies, but I discovered that my
- 28:54Speaker 8: MacBook has.
- 28:55Speaker 10: A photo booth thing. So I just like. sit in
- 28:59Speaker 10: front of it and take pictures for a long time.
- 29:01Speaker 7: Is that what those 40 pictures of you in front
- 29:03Speaker 7: of the computer were? I saw those online.
- 29:06Speaker 8: I was like, wow, these are the best pictures that
- 29:08Speaker 8: I've taken of myself in a really long time. And, uh,
- 29:12Speaker 8: I get these, um, messages from people i'm like hey
- 29:16Speaker 8: these are great pictures everyone's like why are you purple
- 29:19Speaker 8: that's all anyone said no one's like oh this is
- 29:21Speaker 8: a good picture of you they're like uh you look
- 29:23Speaker 8: like an.
- 29:23Speaker 7: Alien purple i almost said that those 44 purple pictures
- 29:28Speaker 7: of you yeah oh it's the monitor light leave me alone.
- 29:37Speaker 8: Yep i wish i could remember more because i feel
- 29:39Speaker 8: like i probably had a relatively interesting chock full of
- 29:42Speaker 8: movie week.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I remembered a movie that was a good movie that
- 29:48Speaker 1: I should probably bring up. She reminded me of it.
- 29:52Speaker 1: The Machinist.
- 29:54Speaker 11: Excellent movie. I was blown away. There's often times where
- 30:00Speaker 11: I question whether he is a good actor. This one
- 30:05Speaker 11: sold it for me.
- 30:06Speaker 1: He was fabulous.
- 30:07Speaker 2: The length that he went, it almost was like unreal.
- 30:10Speaker 5: Because knowing Christian, you know, Seeing American Psycho and like,
- 30:14Speaker 5: you know, he's always been buffed and like ripped or whatever.
- 30:17Speaker 2: And he's a skeleton.
- 30:19Speaker 1: It's creepy.
- 30:21Speaker 5: He's like, all I did was like drink coffee and
- 30:23Speaker 5: smoke cigarettes or something. Like that's all he did for like,
- 30:26Speaker 5: he'd like maybe eat a roll off of the cart
- 30:28Speaker 5: or whatever.
- 30:29Speaker 7: I don't think he was allowed breads. I think, sadly,
- 30:31Speaker 7: I think I know his, his plan. So he said
- 30:34Speaker 7: was black coffee and.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Tuna. Dry tuna.
- 30:38Speaker 8: Wow.
- 30:38Speaker 7: And that's all he had for like two or three
- 30:40Speaker 7: months or however long it took him to get to
- 30:42Speaker 7: that point.
- 30:42Speaker 1: And I'm just like, that's commitment right there.
- 30:45Speaker 3: That's insane.
- 30:45Speaker 11: Did he film that around the same time as Rescue Dawn?
- 30:49Speaker 11: Because he was skinny as heck in Rescue Dawn 2.
- 30:51Speaker 7: I think it's around that same... Yeah, because it was
- 30:53Speaker 7: right before Batman. Because he had to turn around and
- 30:55Speaker 7: bulk right back up to get... Which is, again, how
- 30:58Speaker 7: does his body not just like shut down?
- 31:00Speaker 2: I mean, it's a good thing if you.
- 31:02Speaker 5: dedicate and do that to yourself, you kind of want
- 31:05Speaker 5: to get all those roles all at the same time
- 31:07Speaker 5: so you don't have.
- 31:07Speaker 2: To do this again.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Utilize your skeleton-ness.
- 31:11Speaker 7: To go from one extreme to the other, because even
- 31:14Speaker 7: without the suit, he's got to be pretty bulked up
- 31:16Speaker 7: to be Bruce Wayne.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I like Christian Bale when he's angry.
- 31:20Speaker 2: He's hilarious. We love that. I love that show. I
- 31:23Speaker 2: remember when that happened.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I hated his voice.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Oh, good for you. I was like, fuck off, or whatever.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I was screaming. He was tearing that guy up.
- 31:33Speaker 8: That was awesome, but I'm talking about as Batman.
- 31:37Speaker 1: You really can't take Batman.
- 31:39Speaker 7: No.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It's like, why did you drink whiskey and rocks this morning?
- 31:44Speaker 2: And rocks, yeah. I'm curdling. We're going to grabble over there. Ooh,
- 31:51Speaker 2: but we also remember movies.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Totally remember the movie when you started talking about it.
- 31:56Speaker 2: And this is a movie that you've never seen.
- 31:58Speaker 3: I've never seen it, and I never wanted to see it.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I never had any interest in it. And then he
- 32:03Speaker 3: throws it in, and I'm like, what the hell did
- 32:05Speaker 3: you just put in? He was like, oh, this is Horace,
- 32:07Speaker 3: or I don't know. I just didn't saw it.
- 32:08Speaker 2: I just put it in to put in the background
- 32:10Speaker 2: while we were doing other things.
- 32:11Speaker 3: And so I was like, oh, okay. So, you know,
- 32:14Speaker 3: not really paying attention.
- 32:15Speaker 2: And just watching it.
- 32:17Speaker 12: I'm trying to get ready for work and catching little blips.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And then I was like, Oh, I can't go to
- 32:24Speaker 1: work now.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I was, you know, I got drawn into it and
- 32:28Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, I got to finish this tonight when
- 32:29Speaker 3: we come home.
- 32:31Speaker 12: So we start all over again that night, and I'm like.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I'm in love.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah. You got stopped there.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:39Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 12: Like, I have a crush on him.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you.
- 32:42Speaker 17: I see that.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I want to make out with him.
- 32:43Speaker 2: And then after it was over, I was like, baby,
- 32:45Speaker 2: what else do you want to watch?
- 32:46Speaker 3: And she's like, do you have two?
- 32:47Speaker 2: Number two.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Yeah, actually, just stop there, by the way.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Yeah, actually, tell me, it's like, don't go.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Two, is it all far?
- 32:53Speaker 2: It hits dead.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I'd have no need to watch it anymore.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I mean, he comes back on the other one somehow
- 32:58Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Does he? Yeah, he does. Same actor?
- 33:00Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but barely.
- 33:02Speaker 7: Like two minutes out of an hour and a half.
- 33:04Speaker 5: It's not worth it.
- 33:05Speaker 2: It's not worth it.
- 33:06Speaker 3: But yeah, I really enjoyed them and had a really,
- 33:09Speaker 3: really messed up dream once again.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Of course I was.
- 33:11Speaker 3: About minutes.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And about the Cinnabites.
- 33:14Speaker 3: And about the Cinnabites and like, I don't know, I
- 33:17Speaker 3: won't get into what kind of Cinnabite.
- 33:20Speaker 7: I was, but.
- 33:22Speaker 2: It was pretty awesome.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it was pretty awesome.
- 33:26Speaker 1: We thought you were just having Cinemite.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Becoming a Cinemite.
- 33:30Speaker 7: Well, it's only a matter of time before you join
- 33:33Speaker 7: in with the crowd.
- 33:35Speaker 15: I mean, hey.
- 33:35Speaker 5: But it's a whole classic. Revisiting a whole classic for me,
- 33:39Speaker 5: turning you on to.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Remember growing up, my mom used to rent them and
- 33:42Speaker 3: watch them, and I was never allowed to. And I'm like,
- 33:45Speaker 3: I don't really want to anyway. That kind of scares me.
- 33:47Speaker 10: You know what my mom was really into watching when
- 33:49Speaker 10: I was little? the warlock movies.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Oh those are messed up yeah those are really messed
- 33:55Speaker 5: up into those it was hilarious.
- 33:58Speaker 8: My mom was way cooler when i was little than
- 34:01Speaker 8: she is now seriously she played like super mario for days.
- 34:04Speaker 3: My mom did too like tetris for hours that was
- 34:07Speaker 3: all she did watch warlock watch warlock play.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Nintendo I don't know about cool.
- 34:14Speaker 7: I'm not so thrilled right now, actually.
- 34:17Speaker 3: When the first Aliens came out, I think once it
- 34:20Speaker 3: came out on, like, VHS, my mom bought it and
- 34:22Speaker 3: wore the tape out.
- 34:24Speaker 12: She watched it.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Now that's cool.
- 34:25Speaker 10: That is pretty cool.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I was like, Mom, I don't want to watch this anymore.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I am Sigourney Weaver. I am Sigourney Weaver.
- 34:31Speaker 3: My mom looks like Sigourney Weaver when she did.
- 34:33Speaker 2: She's kind of fat now.
- 34:35Speaker 17: Sorry, Mom.
- 34:35Speaker 11: You are.
- 34:37Speaker 8: Damn.
- 34:39Speaker 2: She's like 50.
- 34:39Speaker 3: She's allowed to be. This is cool.
- 34:42Speaker 2: She's had three freaking kids. Is that the end of
- 34:44Speaker 2: our Geek Weekly?
- 34:46Speaker 1: I guess.
- 34:46Speaker 7: I'm still trying to get the image of you making
- 34:49Speaker 7: out with Pinhead out of my head.
- 34:50Speaker 12: I mean, very carefully.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm like, how do you make out with Pinhead? That's
- 34:54Speaker 1: going to be.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Basically, just me licking his needles.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Okay. Whatever you're into. Hold that. Kind of hot, actually.
- 35:02Speaker 7: Anyway, yeah, let's leave that alone.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Well, fan mail can be sent to you now.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I hate laters.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Laters. Laters.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Somebody needs to. They've been slacking lately.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Yeah, really. You need somebody to tell such stuff. Look
- 35:16Speaker 2: how friggin' awesome we are.
- 35:17Speaker 5: I mean, come on.
- 35:18Speaker 3: One of the other people, come on.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Pick a side.
- 35:19Speaker 9: Whatever.
- 35:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:22Speaker 7: On that note, we will take a break and be
- 35:23Speaker 7: back with What's the Buff?
- 35:25Speaker 9: God, Jesus.
- 35:27Speaker 3: It is a cheese. I don't even like cheese.
- 35:29Speaker 2: It's the only thing that there is. It's the only
- 35:31Speaker 2: thing that there is. Cheese is not even good. I
- 35:33Speaker 2: think I've got a popcorn in the car. No!
- 35:35Speaker 1: Hellraiser! In the thunder and heat!
- 35:36Speaker 14: Hellraiser!
- 35:37Speaker 1: Look, you're back in your seat!
- 35:39Speaker 3: Hellraiser!
- 36:09Speaker 4: It's intermission. Rise and stretch time. Time to refresh yourself

- 37:15Speaker 1: If you can take it, see She-Freak. But heed this warning.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Ha ha.
- 37:21Speaker 15: If you reveal the barbaric, hate-filled ending, you too will
- 37:25Speaker 15: end up in the Geek Pit.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Gee, freak. Appalling color.
- 37:42Speaker 17: To talk to you about something very important today. That's
- 37:44Speaker 17: outside the cinema.
- 37:45Speaker 6: I know a lot of you listening now enjoy the
- 37:47Speaker 6: film world. Boy, outside the cinema covers all kinds of
- 37:50Speaker 6: good films. If you're looking for the classics, perhaps you're
- 37:53Speaker 6: looking for a good old Nazi film where the Nazis
- 37:55Speaker 6: torture and rape everyone in sight.
- 37:56Speaker 17: Or giant monsters crawl from the sea.
- 37:58Speaker 6: Or perhaps an Italian film where Edwidge Finch takes her
- 38:00Speaker 6: clothes off for no apparent reason.
- 38:03Speaker 17: Or renegade bikers just do whatever they damn well please.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Perhaps even occasionally turn into a werewolf, then Outside the
- 38:08Speaker 6: Cinema is your place to go.
- 38:10Speaker 17: That's www.outsidethecinema.com. Outside the Cinema, your source for cult movie discussion.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Hey, this is Graham Elwood, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 38:38Speaker 7: Pawn shot first.
- 38:55Speaker 18: You know you love me, I know you care Just
- 38:59Speaker 18: shout whenever, and I'll be there You want my love,
- 39:05Speaker 18: you want my heart And we will never ever ever.
- 39:10Speaker 7: Be apart Unless that's what you're looking for He actually
- 39:18Speaker 7: told me last night that's what he wanted I think
- 39:20Speaker 7: it's like, do it two more times, I think That's.
- 39:22Speaker 10: What she said.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Nice. Yikes.
- 39:30Speaker 1: When will that die?
- 39:33Speaker 3: Never.
- 39:34Speaker 1: She said, it's gone through waves already.
- 39:37Speaker 7: It's like, it was cool like three years ago and
- 39:39Speaker 7: then it died and then it came back like a
- 39:41Speaker 7: year ago.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I was like, really? Yeah, like that was.
- 39:43Speaker 10: Whatever, that never went away. Neither did your mom.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Right?
- 39:46Speaker 12: Or the word box.
- 39:48Speaker 1: No, because I quit hearing it.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Nor did the word box. That will always be there.
- 39:55Speaker 3: Some of the funny things, like in the kitchen, it's
- 39:59Speaker 3: like you say something and it's like, that's what she said.
- 40:01Speaker 10: Yeah, exactly.
- 40:03Speaker 3: You have a box and you're like, oh, flying box.
- 40:08Speaker 8: We have, like at work, you know, we have breadsticks
- 40:11Speaker 8: and chicken fingers and spoons and forks and all that
- 40:13Speaker 8: stuff that everybody has in the kitchen. And, you know,
- 40:15Speaker 8: if someone needs like a breadstick, you're like, stick me.
- 40:18Speaker 8: Or if someone needs a spoon, you fork me. The
- 40:23Speaker 8: other day, I was waiting with this other lady I
- 40:26Speaker 8: work with in the kitchen, and she was waiting on
- 40:27Speaker 8: chicken fingers.
- 40:28Speaker 10: She goes, finger me.
- 40:30Speaker 1: That's what she said. That seems normal.
- 40:33Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 40:35Speaker 8: Finger me.
- 40:37Speaker 3: She probably didn't even think about it.
- 40:40Speaker 12: She did.
- 40:40Speaker 1: It all seems normal to me. I don't know what.
- 40:44Speaker 2: You're talking about.
- 40:45Speaker 9: That's so funny.
- 40:48Speaker 10: We're getting kitchens are funny. I'm glad none of the
- 40:51Speaker 10: guys in my kitchen show each other their balls.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Yeah, we've never played that game. We did do the
- 40:55Speaker 3: sack tapping game for a while. But luckily for me,
- 40:59Speaker 3: I don't have to.
- 41:02Speaker 1: So I always win.
- 41:03Speaker 5: There's nothing that makes you more instantly angry than some
- 41:07Speaker 5: dude slapping your.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Nuts out of the blue. Not so cool. I just
- 41:11Speaker 2: want to stab him.
- 41:13Speaker 1: It's a little too up close and personal for me.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I accidentally touched my stage chef's butthole last night.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Like the actual butthole.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Like injury? What kind of restaurant is this?
- 41:27Speaker 2: Which sous chef is this? Because I don't want to
- 41:29Speaker 2: go to that restaurant either.
- 41:32Speaker 7: Nobody's going to eat in this town ever again.
- 41:34Speaker 3: I just went to slap his butt and he bent
- 41:38Speaker 3: over a.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Little too far.
- 41:40Speaker 2: And just the middle finger curved up. I swear to God,
- 41:44Speaker 2: my middle.
- 41:45Speaker 12: Finger felt funny for like 70 minutes.
- 41:47Speaker 2: I was like, what? We're not friends anymore. I can't
- 41:51Speaker 2: look at you.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I think at that point you're beyond friends.
- 41:56Speaker 5: I was having a Christmas party at my apartment, my
- 42:01Speaker 5: old apartment, and there was a cabinet above my, there
- 42:03Speaker 5: was like a little.
- 42:04Speaker 10: Hole in the wall in the cabinet above my kitchen cabinet.
- 42:07Speaker 8: And I was like in the bathroom, I come out
- 42:09Speaker 8: and my, one of my friends is trying to push
- 42:11Speaker 8: my other friend like.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Up into the cabinet.
- 42:15Speaker 8: And I just hear my friend say, ah, your thumb's
- 42:18Speaker 8: been way too close to my vagina, get away.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 42:22Speaker 1: And it was a guy.
- 42:23Speaker 2: That was my ass pussy.
- 42:27Speaker 1: That was.
- 42:34Speaker 2: A great guy. That was a great guy. Do you
- 42:39Speaker 2: have a new tie?
- 42:40Speaker 1: Not that he talks about.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I have seen a lot.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Babe, is there something you need to tell me?
- 42:48Speaker 1: No, he'll show you later. Uh-huh. It's a special trick
- 42:51Speaker 1: he learned in the joint.
- 42:52Speaker 3: If you're going to do.
- 42:53Speaker 12: That, do it on Jerry Springer.
- 42:54Speaker 3: That way I get famous. I'm pretty sure once.
- 42:57Speaker 12: I get on TV, I'm going to be famous. I
- 42:59Speaker 12: just need to get on TV.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Jerry Springer is the best way to break in, right?
- 43:04Speaker 2: Or Judge Judy.
- 43:05Speaker 8: Just start a feud with someone over something and go
- 43:09Speaker 8: on one of those shows.
- 43:10Speaker 1: When have you been listening? I told you not to
- 43:12Speaker 1: listen to that show. They say bad words.
- 43:14Speaker 2: A lot of them. Talk about ass pussies.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Oh, that's what you think. It's all part of the show.
- 43:28Speaker 1: All right, we're back with What's the Buzz?
- 43:30Speaker 3: Groovy.
- 43:30Speaker 1: What's the buzz?
- 43:33Speaker 12: Lay it on us.
- 43:41Speaker 1: I don't know if you're ready for it.
- 43:42Speaker 2: I think I'm ready.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I think you're ready to start complaining.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I can take it and complain about it.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I don't know if you can. Let's start complaining about
- 43:49Speaker 1: the Bieber.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Justin Bieber?
- 43:51Speaker 2: Is he going to start.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Coming out with movies like... I thought you were talking
- 43:54Speaker 1: about Leave it to Bieber. Oh, when is that show?
- 43:58Speaker 7: They're missing their window right now.
- 44:00Speaker 2: The remake, yeah.
- 44:01Speaker 7: Hurry up and get Leave it to Bieber on Fox.
- 44:04Speaker 7: It's got to be Fox.
- 44:05Speaker 1: It's going to be on this fall. We just did it.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Send us royalties, please.
- 44:11Speaker 1: You know what?
- 44:11Speaker 7: I would prefer that over what's going on here.
- 44:13Speaker 5: I see him making a whole string of movies like
- 44:15Speaker 5: the Olsen Twins. What is a Justin Bieber?
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yeah, good.
- 44:18Speaker 7: I think that's what everybody said up until, well, everybody
- 44:20Speaker 7: that wasn't a 14-year-old girl said it until about two
- 44:22Speaker 7: weeks ago. Yeah, I think we made fun of him
- 44:26Speaker 7: a few weeks back, and it was the first good
- 44:28Speaker 7: portion of us were exposed to him. So, yeah, you're
- 44:31Speaker 7: lucky us at that point. But yeah, apparently he's quite
- 44:34Speaker 7: popular with the female youngsters out there.
- 44:37Speaker 1: And so Paramount Pictures has greenlit a biopic.
- 44:41Speaker 3: A biopic?
- 44:42Speaker 1: He's 16.
- 44:43Speaker 7: How do you get a biopic at 16?
- 44:44Speaker 1: Give me a freaking break. Well, I learned to wipe
- 44:48Speaker 1: my ass. Yeah, right? The diaper years.
- 44:52Speaker 2: When I learned about love, oh wait, I haven't learned.
- 44:54Speaker 1: About love yet. Oh, I know it gets better. It
- 44:58Speaker 1: will be in 3D. No.
- 45:01Speaker 2: No, you don't. I wish I was making that up.
- 45:03Speaker 3: What are they trying to do to the youth of America?
- 45:06Speaker 1: Retard it even more.
- 45:07Speaker 2: They're trying to get girls to start their periods sooner.
- 45:10Speaker 5: I think they're going to feed them stereo radio.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I think that's happening anyway, isn't it? At the theater.
- 45:19Speaker 9: Seven-year-olds are like, I need a tampon.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I thought Roger was the one that was going to
- 45:29Speaker 2: take his pick.
- 45:30Speaker 1: They start selling them in the lobby.
- 45:32Speaker 2: They're like a large.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Popcorn and a huge box of Tampax, please.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Oh my god, the one with the wings, baby.
- 45:40Speaker 1: The one with the wings.
- 45:42Speaker 3: No, no, not that one.
- 45:44Speaker 5: Do we need to get into anatomy?
- 45:49Speaker 12: Show me on the doll.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Where Dustin Beaver made you start.
- 45:53Speaker 14: Oh, jeez.
- 45:53Speaker 7: Oh, god.
- 45:54Speaker 13: Okay, anyway.
- 45:54Speaker 1: It's hard to take us there.
- 45:56Speaker 10: Once again, I'll hit you.
- 45:57Speaker 8: Reset to....
- 46:05Speaker 1: Oh, Lord.
- 46:06Speaker 2: It's in 3D. Awesome.
- 46:08Speaker 7: It just continues to get more and more ridiculous. When
- 46:11Speaker 7: the news first broke, it came with the surprising addition
- 46:15Speaker 7: that the director was going to be Davis Guggenheim, the
- 46:18Speaker 7: Academy Award-winning director of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.
- 46:22Speaker 14: What?
- 46:24Speaker 12: What is happening?
- 46:24Speaker 14: Yeah, what?
- 46:25Speaker 2: What is happening right now?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Doing a Bieber movie in 3D. What the fuck? So
- 46:31Speaker 1: that didn't last long, however.
- 46:32Speaker 7: Within two days, Guggenheimer decided that he did not want
- 46:36Speaker 7: to have anything to do with it.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Thank God.
- 46:38Speaker 8: Oh, my Lord.
- 46:38Speaker 7: I think it's just his documentary making friends were making
- 46:41Speaker 7: fun of him.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Of course.
- 46:42Speaker 7: And then that got out. When you've got dorky documentary
- 46:45Speaker 7: making guys calling you out, you know you're in trouble. So, yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 7: he has dropped out. I don't think they've picked a
- 46:52Speaker 7: new replacement at this point.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Thank Lord.
- 46:54Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter. It's getting made. You know it's
- 46:56Speaker 1: getting made.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Of course, and Disney's going to make a shit ton
- 46:58Speaker 3: of money off of it.
- 46:59Speaker 1: But this is how.
- 47:00Speaker 7: I mean, to me, it made no sense when I
- 47:03Speaker 7: first heard about it. Now, the more they describe it,
- 47:05Speaker 7: I'm like, is this even a biopic, really? He will
- 47:09Speaker 7: be playing himself.
- 47:10Speaker 1: So I'm like, isn't this.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Wait, no, that's not a biopic.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they're going to have.
- 47:14Speaker 7: performances from his current tour and a big show at
- 47:17Speaker 7: Madison Square Garden. I'm like, isn't this just a concert performance?
- 47:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 1: This is going to be, yeah. I was like, this
- 47:23Speaker 1: is going to be a behind the scenes thing.
- 47:25Speaker 8: How is it?
- 47:25Speaker 1: I mean, unless you're going to devote most of the.
- 47:28Speaker 7: Movie to his story and showing him like growing up
- 47:32Speaker 7: or whatnot, you know, I'm like, this is not a,
- 47:34Speaker 7: traditional biopic. This is just going to be a performance.
- 47:38Speaker 2: It's just a money-making BS scheme.
- 47:41Speaker 7: Which, I mean, yeah, no surprise there.
- 47:43Speaker 1: And that's why.
- 47:43Speaker 7: It's like, everybody's going to bitch about this, and I'll
- 47:45Speaker 7: make fun of it, but I'm not going to bitch
- 47:47Speaker 7: about it, because you know what? They're going to make
- 47:49Speaker 7: a goddamn fortune off of this. So, I'm not surprised
- 47:52Speaker 7: by any... Well, other than the Academy Award-winning director. But
- 47:56Speaker 7: the rest of it, I'm not... Yeah, the concert film,
- 47:59Speaker 7: the 3D, none of this surprises me. All of this
- 48:01Speaker 7: is just... ways that they're going to cash in on
- 48:04Speaker 7: this doofus before he becomes unpopular in like two months.
- 48:07Speaker 2: When he goes through puberty and starts becoming ugly. Aren't
- 48:10Speaker 2: the Jones brothers already over?
- 48:11Speaker 3: No, no.
- 48:13Speaker 12: They just started again. Aren't they all married and stuff?
- 48:16Speaker 10: One of them.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Not the one with diabetes, the other one.
- 48:19Speaker 10: The one that looks the most like a hobbit?
- 48:22Speaker 8: Yes.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Is that the youngest brother?
- 48:25Speaker 1: No, he's the cool one. They all look like hobbits.
- 48:29Speaker 10: Hobbits, but one is special. He's like a hobbit. Like,
- 48:32Speaker 10: you can just imagine his hairy feet.
- 48:34Speaker 2: One is like a special hobbit.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Especially.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. When is the day?
- 48:38Speaker 10: No, I said especially, not a special.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I know.
- 48:43Speaker 10: He's a special hobbit.
- 48:45Speaker 7: Anytime you hear that all day long, kids scream real loud. Ah!
- 48:50Speaker 12: John is so sad.
- 48:51Speaker 8: Okay. I forgot to mention this, but this is why
- 48:54Speaker 8: I love Netflix so much. I didn't even type anything
- 48:57Speaker 8: in except for my email address, and I searched comedies,
- 49:00Speaker 8: and they're like, here's some movies you might enjoy.
- 49:02Speaker 10: Little Shop of Horrors, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Cry Baby.
- 49:05Speaker 17: I'm like, oh, my God.
- 49:05Speaker 3: It's like it knows me.
- 49:06Speaker 2: It knows who I am.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I can understand that.
- 49:10Speaker 7: I mean, because it does keep track of what you
- 49:11Speaker 7: watch and start to base things on it.
- 49:13Speaker 1: But if right out of the gate.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Logged in that's scary that's awesome.
- 49:18Speaker 11: That's creepy i think they can tie in with facebook.
- 49:23Speaker 7: Ah there you go that's true everything is now tied
- 49:27Speaker 7: to facebook just like um groove shark yeah i didn't
- 49:31Speaker 7: do facebook without me even knowing about it and i
- 49:32Speaker 7: was like this is awesome it started playing you know
- 49:34Speaker 7: i No, it was, I'm sorry, Pandora.
- 49:36Speaker 1: It started playing everything, but it had just pulled from
- 49:39Speaker 1: the bands that I liked.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Man, that's kind of creepy, actually. I disabled that very quickly.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Stop doing my business.
- 49:48Speaker 1: How dare you give me what I like?
- 49:50Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Without my permission.
- 49:51Speaker 7: I didn't tell you to give me what I like, bitch.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I get really.
- 49:54Speaker 8: Excited when, like, mindless, soulless internet websites know me.
- 49:58Speaker 10: I'm like, what?
- 49:59Speaker 8: Like, last FM, I'm like, oh, you played the Pogues,
- 50:02Speaker 8: and then you played Napalm Death.
- 50:04Speaker 16: Yay!
- 50:06Speaker 7: It's just creepy when, like, the little banners on the
- 50:08Speaker 7: side come up, and they, like, list.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Your hometown, and list, like, your.
- 50:12Speaker 7: Age, and shit, and you're just like, yeah, and you're
- 50:15Speaker 7: just like, what the, how do you know me?
- 50:17Speaker 1: Stop talking to me, computer!
- 50:18Speaker 10: You know what really bothers me?
- 50:20Speaker 8: It always has something that's relative to my life, like,
- 50:24Speaker 8: interior design or something like that, and it'll be like,
- 50:27Speaker 8: meet hot local lesbian singles.
- 50:29Speaker 2: It always says that.
- 50:30Speaker 1: And you're like, yes.
- 50:30Speaker 2: And I'm just like.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Score, finally. Well, I was, they thought I would like
- 50:36Speaker 1: gay boys with beards. Oh, God. Which I'm still saying
- 50:41Speaker 1: that's right on the money. I mean, come on.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Gay boys with beards.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Thank you, Facebook.
- 50:47Speaker 10: Actually, yeah, gay, I know a lot of guys with beards,
- 50:49Speaker 10: but not really gay. Exactly.
- 50:53Speaker 7: Those are bears.
- 50:55Speaker 11: This was all about, it wasn't just about just facial hair.
- 50:57Speaker 11: This was beards.
- 50:59Speaker 8: Like ZZ Top beard or Amish beard?
- 51:03Speaker 1: No, I don't think they were that specific. Amish ZZ Top.
- 51:06Speaker 7: When is that going to kick off?
- 51:08Speaker 3: Nice.
- 51:08Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 51:09Speaker 3: One's playing the stand-up cello.
- 51:11Speaker 1: They did have the electric Amish for a while. I
- 51:13Speaker 1: do remember that, unfortunately. That got carried away.
- 51:17Speaker 10: I need to get into that. Electric Amish?
- 51:19Speaker 2: It sounds amazing.
- 51:20Speaker 12: Aren't they just called Mennonites?
- 51:22Speaker 2: This was.
- 51:26Speaker 1: A fan.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Awesome, baby. Jodi, I just clocked in.
- 51:31Speaker 3: I haven't been here all day.
- 51:33Speaker 2: What's been going on?
- 51:34Speaker 1: Wow. This is like a Weird Al Yankovic type. They
- 51:40Speaker 1: would take classic rock and then talk about it. Come together,
- 51:43Speaker 1: build a barn.
- 51:44Speaker 2: I think that's why I love Weird Al. I think.
- 51:50Speaker 8: Weird Al is like 50% responsible for who I am.
- 51:54Speaker 10: I just had this epiphany.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Nice, nice. He's one of your parents? Whoa, wait a minute.
- 52:03Speaker 10: I wished.
- 52:04Speaker 8: I think Weird Al might be the reason that I
- 52:06Speaker 8: like Polka and the Amish so much.
- 52:08Speaker 10: I think it's... I think it's his fault.
- 52:10Speaker 1: We're tying in a lot of this.
- 52:11Speaker 10: Remember when White and Nerdy came out?
- 52:13Speaker 8: I felt like that song was written about me.
- 52:15Speaker 3: I love White and Nerdy. I was thinking the other
- 52:17Speaker 3: day in the kitchen, I was.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Like, what am I doing?
- 52:21Speaker 7: I like that every week we have sort of a
- 52:22Speaker 7: little breakthrough here.
- 52:24Speaker 2: We have epiphanies.
- 52:24Speaker 1: We're not just a movie show.
- 52:27Speaker 2: We're changing lives.
- 52:28Speaker 1: We really are.
- 52:29Speaker 3: This is only one of my group meetings. I'm already
- 52:32Speaker 3: getting tons of stuff done here.
- 52:34Speaker 7: We're like a therapy session.
- 52:35Speaker 8: Sharing.
- 52:35Speaker 2: We're sharing.
- 52:36Speaker 1: And we watch movies occasionally. Weren't we doing the buzz?
- 52:39Speaker 2: Oh, sorry.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 52:42Speaker 10: I got distracted.
- 52:43Speaker 1: About how Weird Al is happening.
- 52:45Speaker 2: That's what we're supposed to do.
- 52:46Speaker 3: Growing up ADD. Woohoo!
- 52:47Speaker 10: And I have dated men with curly hair before.
- 52:49Speaker 8: I wonder if that also has something to do with
- 52:52Speaker 8: my love for Weird Al.
- 52:54Speaker 10: It wasn't long because that's just gross.
- 52:56Speaker 1: So you went out with the Jonas Brothers.
- 52:58Speaker 3: All right, cool.
- 52:59Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 52:59Speaker 1: So... The special.
- 53:02Speaker 2: The special hobbit.
- 53:04Speaker 10: The special hobbit.
- 53:06Speaker 1: That's what you're looking for. All right.
- 53:10Speaker 7: Yeah, so to round out fever here, they will be
- 53:13Speaker 7: releasing it February 11, 2011, just in time for Valentine's Day.
- 53:18Speaker 7: Because when you think romance, you think of a weird-looking
- 53:22Speaker 7: 16-year-old boy who looks like a 13-year-old girl.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Yeah, right?
- 53:25Speaker 11: Did you hear about the girl that was at a
- 53:30Speaker 11: bar drinking?
- 53:30Speaker 1: She was like a 24-year-old woman.
- 53:33Speaker 11: The police were called to the bar because they thought.
- 53:38Speaker 1: that it was Justin Bieber drinking in the bar. I
- 53:41Speaker 1: did hear that.
- 53:42Speaker 2: It was actually a news report.
- 53:43Speaker 1: I think it was in Massachusetts.
- 53:45Speaker 14: Oh, my God.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Is it Ellen Page?
- 53:47Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 53:47Speaker 2: And all of the people in the bar, they took
- 53:49Speaker 2: a picture, you know, for the newspaper.
- 53:51Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 54:00Speaker 8: The only news I get nowadays is from Tosh. 0' s.
- 54:03Speaker 10: Updates on Facebook.
- 54:06Speaker 12: And apparently there's.
- 54:10Speaker 8: This picture of Taylor Lautner next to this girl who
- 54:14Speaker 8: looked exactly like him.
- 54:16Speaker 10: It was really creepy.
- 54:17Speaker 8: But she was holding a Taylor Lautner pillow. So she, like,
- 54:20Speaker 8: had an obsession with him.
- 54:22Speaker 2: And looking like him.
- 54:23Speaker 10: I'm so obsessed with you and I look just like you.
- 54:25Speaker 10: We should get together and have babies that look exactly
- 54:27Speaker 10: like us.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Really creepy. That is really creepy. That's freaking weird.
- 54:32Speaker 3: I do love me some Taylor Liner, though.
- 54:34Speaker 10: He's pretty handsome.
- 54:35Speaker 1: But thankfully you don't look like him. You shouldn't be
- 54:37Speaker 1: attracted to people you look just like. Unless you're from
- 54:40Speaker 1: West Virginia.
- 54:41Speaker 8: Oh.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 54:41Speaker 3: I'm attracted to Amy Smart.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Oh, Amy Smart. Oh, she was on Scrubs yesterday. Oh,
- 54:47Speaker 2: she's so cute.
- 54:47Speaker 10: Hey, I'm back.
- 54:53Speaker 8: Hi.
- 54:53Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, I'm here.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Never mind.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Alright, moving on.
- 55:03Speaker 7: In this summer, following the end of Lost, many of
- 55:05Speaker 7: the people involved with the show's success have been lining
- 55:08Speaker 7: up for new jobs. So this week we found out
- 55:12Speaker 7: the Lost frontman, the signature Hilmer there, that directed... Many
- 55:16Speaker 7: of the big episodes, Jack Bender, he is now, which
- 55:21Speaker 7: his most impressive thing before that was Child's Play 3.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Yeah, right.
- 55:24Speaker 7: Anyway, but over the last, you know, 10 years, he's
- 55:28Speaker 7: worked on Alias and Lost and kind of built up,
- 55:29Speaker 7: you know, a nice little bad robot resume.
- 55:32Speaker 1: So, you know, he's doing pretty good now.
- 55:33Speaker 7: Sure. This week, word leaked out that Jack Bender is
- 55:37Speaker 7: close to landing the job of directing Moscow, the long-planned
- 55:41Speaker 7: new entry in the Jack Ryan film franchise.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Well, who's going to plan this time?
- 55:45Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 55:46Speaker 7: We talked about it a while ago that they had
- 55:48Speaker 7: signed on to do a new one, and... It is
- 55:51Speaker 7: weird that this is the first... They're sticking with this
- 55:53Speaker 7: as the first non-Tom Clancy property.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:57Speaker 1: They're not taking it from a novel. They're just going,
- 55:59Speaker 1: we can write our own Jack Ryan. Fuck them.
- 56:01Speaker 8: So.
- 56:02Speaker 1: No Affleck. Please.
- 56:04Speaker 7: Thankfully, there is no Affleck in this.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Even Baldwin, I think, is okay. Yeah. That's what I think.
- 56:11Speaker 15: Which one?
- 56:12Speaker 1: Alec back in the day.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Alec's the original Jack Ryan.
- 56:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Hunt for Red October.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Back when he was actually young and not goofy.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Yeah, see, I have no idea what the hell is
- 56:19Speaker 2: going on right now. I'm just asking questions because I'm confused.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Yeah, see Hunt for Red October. Yeah.
- 56:24Speaker 2: I've seen it. I just don't care.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Nice. Well, we can't make you care.
- 56:29Speaker 2: No one can make you care.
- 56:31Speaker 7: So, yeah, it was Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck.
- 56:35Speaker 7: Have been the rundown so far. So the fourth actor
- 56:38Speaker 7: to take on the role, and if Misty were here,
- 56:40Speaker 7: she'd be excited, Chris Pine.
- 56:42Speaker 12: Oh.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Not a bad way to go, really, actually.
- 56:45Speaker 2: I can see. Yeah. Chris Pine.
- 56:47Speaker 7: So, yeah, Moscow continues the de-aging of Jack Ryan. They
- 56:50Speaker 7: have considerably, especially this last time around, they're getting younger.
- 56:54Speaker 7: They're like the Doctor Whos of this world.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Maybe that's going to be Justin Bieber's next movie.
- 56:58Speaker 8: God.
- 56:58Speaker 2: I mean, if he's good in this.
- 57:01Speaker 12: He'll be like the next Jack Ryan.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Bieber is Ryan.
- 57:05Speaker 7: So, yeah, this next time out, he is fresh out
- 57:07Speaker 7: of the Marines and working for a Russian billionaire until
- 57:10Speaker 7: his new job sends him on the run after being
- 57:12Speaker 7: implicated in a terrorist plot.
- 57:15Speaker 1: I mean, all this is kind of cool. It's just fun.
- 57:17Speaker 7: Maybe they're crossing over. I didn't even see the Affleck one,
- 57:20Speaker 7: so I don't know. Because to me, it's funny that...
- 57:22Speaker 7: That Jack Ryan has become such a big character and
- 57:25Speaker 7: he's got this whole series, especially of movies.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I haven't read the books.
- 57:28Speaker 7: Again, we frown upon reading on this show. But yeah,
- 57:34Speaker 7: I just think it's funny because he's always the least
- 57:36Speaker 7: interesting character in any of these movies.
- 57:39Speaker 13: Right.
- 57:39Speaker 7: He's like especially like the harrison ford wins and i
- 57:42Speaker 7: think harrison ford's awesome but i'm like he's the most
- 57:44Speaker 7: boring guy in these movies he's always like the pencil
- 57:47Speaker 7: pusher that gets shoved into these action scenes and everybody
- 57:50Speaker 7: else is like involved in the action he's just running
- 57:52Speaker 7: around going oh shit i hope i don't get shot
- 57:54Speaker 7: you know.
- 57:55Speaker 1: He's just ass though he always like ends.
- 57:56Speaker 7: Up eventually yeah he comes around he's like then he
- 57:59Speaker 7: gets pissed off he's like all right fine i gotta
- 58:00Speaker 7: kick somebody's ass but i mean he always goes into
- 58:03Speaker 7: it so backward you know he just gets thrown into
- 58:06Speaker 7: the middle of it so it's He's not like your
- 58:09Speaker 7: big action star kind of character, so it's weird that
- 58:11Speaker 7: they keep focusing on him. I guess it's just because
- 58:14Speaker 7: the Clancy Novelers are so popular and kept cranking him
- 58:17Speaker 7: out of movies.
- 58:19Speaker 11: And the Bourne films were so over the top recently
- 58:23Speaker 11: that they've got to do something.
- 58:25Speaker 7: This is sort of cashing in on the Bournes. Pretty
- 58:27Speaker 7: much done now. At least officially, everybody that was making
- 58:32Speaker 7: it watchable isn't involved anymore, so... Even if they try
- 58:35Speaker 7: to do, like, a spinoff, it'll be, like, the girl version.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Jenny Bourne, coming at you this summer.
- 58:41Speaker 3: On CBS.
- 58:42Speaker 1: You know they're going to do it.
- 58:44Speaker 7: Or there'll be a, like, I don't know. They'll try
- 58:46Speaker 7: to take it off.
- 58:47Speaker 1: It'll be, like, a midget Bourne.
- 58:50Speaker 12: I have to watch this on Wednesday nights.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Midget Bourne. This Wednesday.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Midget Bourne.
- 58:56Speaker 10: Midget Bourne?
- 58:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Bourne.
- 58:58Speaker 8: Bourne.
- 58:59Speaker 7: Bourne.
- 58:59Speaker 2: I know.
- 59:00Speaker 14: Bourne.
- 59:00Speaker 2: I know.
- 59:00Speaker 10: That's what I said.
- 59:01Speaker 2: That's different. Midget Bourne. Oh, my God. I'm picturing it
- 59:08Speaker 2: right now. It's ridiculous.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Starring Vernon Joyer.
- 59:11Speaker 2: They're all driving Mini Coopers. And he still needs a
- 59:15Speaker 2: high chair.
- 59:16Speaker 7: Instead of, like, flying across from one window to the next,
- 59:18Speaker 7: he just kind of jumps up a little bit.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:20Speaker 7: Because, I mean, it's kind of hard to fly when
- 59:22Speaker 7: you're a little guy.
- 59:23Speaker 10: There's not any way too many midget shows.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Yes, there are.
- 59:26Speaker 2: TLC is all about... Oh, yeah. I do love... The
- 59:30Speaker 2: Little People Channel is what they call it.
- 59:33Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 59:33Speaker 8: Now, TLC is really just, like, modern, like, Barnum and Bailey.
- 59:37Speaker 8: I mean, all it is is freak show constantly, constantly
- 59:40Speaker 8: freak shows.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I should like them more than anything.
- 59:43Speaker 14: I know.
- 59:43Speaker 10: I can get behind that.
- 59:44Speaker 8: But at the same time, they try to make it all, like, oh, look,
- 59:48Speaker 8: here's the life of these people.
- 59:49Speaker 10: It's so amazing and wonderful. They try to turn it
- 59:52Speaker 10: into this, like... It's politically correct learning.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Fucking heartwarming stories and shit.
- 59:56Speaker 8: I'm just like, no, this is a step right up
- 59:59Speaker 8: kind of fucking thing. Don't try to pass it off
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: as something you don't want.
- 1:00:03Speaker 12: We're watching it because we want to see what the
- 1:00:05Speaker 12: fuck is wrong.
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: Yeah, here's my five tickets. Pull the curtain back, okay?
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Seriously.
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: There's one TLC special, though, that I've seen it. Eight times, probably.
- 1:00:15Speaker 11: It's like the girl that was born.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Without a face. Oh, yeah. And every time I watch it,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I bawl like.
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: A little baby.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, it is amazing to watch.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: The last one I was, like, really into was the
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: little mermaid girl.
- 1:00:30Speaker 10: Oh, yeah, the mermaid girl.
- 1:00:33Speaker 14: Ariel.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: Yep.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Very much not Ariel.
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: That's weird.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Was Sebastian on that?
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: She was more just like a freak and lived a
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: life of hell.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: But I like those guys, man. I like those guys.
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: I'm on board with those kind of characters. I feel
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: a kinship with the freaks.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: We watched one and it was like, this little boy
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: could not stop gaining weight.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: He was growing exponentially no matter how much he ate.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: He was like a year and a half old. He
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: was hugerous.
- 1:01:06Speaker 17: 100 pounds.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: 30 pounds yes it's not right.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: They're just like whoa whoa.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: And they like feed him the same amount of food
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: and he'd still just keep getting bigger and bigger.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: And bigger and bigger like that's not right yeah they
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: don't understand why he could be dead right.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Now is it for you all right moving on.
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: Other will never finish i'm kidding oh lord again you
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: see the ridiculousness that ensues every week So, Maggie Grace
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: is developing quite a career out of a very specialized
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: and specific role. The kidnapped daughter in Luc Besson produced movies.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: After co-starring in Taken last year, this year she has
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: signed on for Taken 2 and is also reuniting... Electric Boogaloo.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Yes, thank you.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: We all had to say it. I stopped working in there.
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: She is also reuniting with Besson in a science fiction
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: action movie called Lockout.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Cool.
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: Based on a story by Luc Besson, Lockout tells the
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: story of a wrongly convicted man, played by Guy Pearce,
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: who is sent to rescue the U.S. President's daughter from
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: an outer space prison that has been taken over by
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: the inmates.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I kind of like this, actually.
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: That's one of the reasons I had to throw it in.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: Maggie Grace or not, I don't care. It sounds kind
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: of cool.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: I like Luc Besson.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and anything.
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: Again, I think it's all produced at this point. I
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: kind of would like to see him direct it, really.
- 1:02:27Speaker 11: The thing that bothers me is the, that sounds good,
- 1:02:29Speaker 11: but the taking two idea. You're using that same.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Girl, like, who wants her?
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: But stay home.
- 1:02:34Speaker 10: At that point.
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:02:39Speaker 11: Once that's happened to you one time, you're like, yeah,
- 1:02:41Speaker 11: I'm never going to leave my city again.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I might go to McDonald's, but I'm not. What I'm
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: waiting for. I'm not going nowhere.
- 1:02:47Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: I'm staying in my fucking house with a gun.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: And that dad would probably have you on lockdown anyway. Oh, really?
- 1:02:51Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Well, what I'm waiting for is.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: I'm going to college.
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: The phone call the second time, and he's like, get
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: under the bed. She's like, no, fuck that, Dad.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: You know what? It didn't do me a damn bit
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: of good.
- 1:02:59Speaker 11: Why don't you teach me how to kill these people?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Tell me.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Exactly. It must be some knowledge.
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: I hated that movie.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I liked all the action scenes, except it almost felt
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: like they were all too close.
- 1:03:13Speaker 12: Like, all the action was in your fucking face.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: And I'm like, who is that? What's happening? Somebody's getting
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: the shit down.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Jiggle cam.
- 1:03:19Speaker 10: I like when her friend gets shut up with heroin
- 1:03:21Speaker 10: and duds.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that was awesome.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: Spoiler alert.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Yeah, no kidding.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: She had nice ta-tas.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Ta-ta alert.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Can't stop, won't stop.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Nice. No, the best part of that movie, though, was
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: the trailer.
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: Still i mean it's the thing i kind of feel
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: like i don't need to watch the movie after the
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: trailer because yeah it kind of covers it all right
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: there really which again is sort of the downfall of trailers.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Now yeah but it definitely sold the movie.
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: In a way it's awesome i guess again especially a
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: movie like that you you kind of need to get
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: all that in there you're not going to get your
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: audience in without all the action scenes.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: And you get a bunch of quive on beat the
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: shit out of people yeah.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not such a voicey hippie guy.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Qui-Gon was a dork.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: Oh, Lord.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: So, yeah, this one is Lockout. Doesn't have Qui-Gon at
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: all that I know of. Other than that, Lockout will
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: start filming in 3D. You saw that coming.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Yeah. On September 7th. So, yep, start getting ready for it.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: We need to get our 3D glasses.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Oh, I'm ready.
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: Go get in line right now.
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: I'm wondering when they're going to have 3D eye surgery
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: so you don't have to wear the glasses anymore.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: The TVs are coming out in 3D.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: Well, it'll just get to that point and all these
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: people will go do it and they'll be like.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Eh, we're done with 3D. Our new thing is going
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: to be.
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: And then they'll get rid of 3D will be the
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: beta max of the new world.
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: Why hasn't Smell-O-Vision... been they've been talking about that for
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: years like it's a joke i want it to actually.
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: Happen whatever john waters was once again on the forefront
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: of technology yep he had it all covered years.
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: Ago i know because the man's a fucking genius that's right.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I can't argue that yep.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: Uh we sort of mentioned this last week actually greg
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: you were there for this one You were thrilled about
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: it then, if I remember. Leading up to the San
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: Diego Comic-Con, there was a report that Guillermo del Toro,
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: your favorite dude, was possibly considering writing and producing a
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: new Van Helsing movie as his replacement for leaving The Hobbit.
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: When it was revealed that del Toro is instead writing
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: and producing the new Haunted Mansion movie, which we won't
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: even go back into. Luckily, he's also going to do
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: it at the Mountains of Madness, which actually sounds like
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: an awesome project. So, just ignore that Haunted Mansion. We
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: already bitched about it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: And the Mountains of Madness, like the Lovecraft story?
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: Yeah. He's going to try to do a real adaptation
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: of Lovecraft. And if anybody can do it once again,
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: he's talented enough to do it. He just needs to
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: pick a fucking project.
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: So, but.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Focus.
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: Most fans probably thought the idea of a new Van
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: Helsing was dead, with good reason. But no, we learned
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: this week that the missing piece of the puzzle wasn't
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: that Viltoro was involved, but as who else is producing
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: this new project for Universal.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Tom Cruise.
- 1:06:19Speaker 16: Ugh.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: When I think Van Helsing, I think Tom Cruise.
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: Even though Del Toro has now left the project, which
- 1:06:28Speaker 7: to me drops down to nothing at this point, the
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: actor who once played Lestat may very well get to
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: play the great vampire hunter, Abraham Van Helsing. So this
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: kind of tells you how far Tom Cruise has fallen
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: down the A-list level here because he's now taking on
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: roles that didn't work for Hugh Jackman.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: And not that long ago. It's not like it's been
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: 20 years. This is a very small amount of time
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: to try to reboot, or I guess you could pretend
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: like it's a sequel. But, I mean, when nobody's involved
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: from the other one, how is it much of a sequel?
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: You're the monster.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Tom Cruise.
- 1:07:04Speaker 14: I agree.
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:07:07Speaker 12: I liked Hugh Jackman as Van Helsing.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: I was okay with it.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I think there were other issues.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Hugh Jackman could play Papa Smurf and I'd be like, yes,
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: I believe you.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: I believe you, Papa.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: You are Papa Smurf.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: As long as he sings and dances.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: And wears white little pants and no shirt.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: He's white beard.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Frilly pants.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: They're not frilly.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: In the crotch area.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: This is one of your dreams, isn't it?
- 1:07:35Speaker 13: No.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: I'm going to save that one for the other one.
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: No.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Don't touch me.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Get off me.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I need my medication.
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: On to our adaptation. So is anyone here a Kerouac fan?
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: No. Greg, you can read.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: Do you like it?
- 1:07:51Speaker 11: Yeah, I read some back in the college days, and
- 1:07:55Speaker 11: I'm just not into it.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: I've been meaning to, but I kind of feel like
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: it's one of those things that's way overhyped.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Probably going into it. I, it's one of those.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: And it's funny cause the whole beat thing is, is
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: like really going to hit in the next, I mean, there,
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: there are several, I just saw the trailer for the, um,
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: the James Franco movie, how that.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Looks really cool.
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: Actually, they look like they've done something interesting with it
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: and it's not quite as Hollywood as I expected. It
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: looks kind of more like an indie film that, you know, they've,
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: they've tried to do something with the character and they're
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: actually going into all these other weird people he was
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: hanging out with. So that one at least could be interesting.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: There's at least one or two other ones involving all
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: those guys around that point. So, you know, it's going
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: to hit. And it was one of those, I always
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: kind of liked the idea of that movement, not, the
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: specific sometimes. I can get behind their artistic ideals, but
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: the massive drug use and being a deadbeat and not
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: having a job, none of those I was really on
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: board for. But yeah, they were probably that first wave of,
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: you know, nonconformists. They really did kind of push the
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: envelope of their artistic ideas. And, yes, that gets carried
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: away and bastardized into forms that are really terrible.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: But, yeah, it's kind of a cool idea.
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: So this, I've heard for a while now they've gotten the,
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: permission or whatever screwing over they had to do to
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: do a version of On the Road. And lately I've
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: just been hearing casting, but I hadn't heard who was
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: behind it. So I wanted to try to figure out
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: a little more about it. So the casting that came
- 1:09:30Speaker 7: out this week, they're adding on to, and here's the
- 1:09:34Speaker 7: one that worries me, no surprise though, Kristen Stewart is
- 1:09:37Speaker 7: in every fucking movie now.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 1:09:39Speaker 12: I hate her face.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: It's so lazy.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: That's a running theme, as we well know.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of who she would be in
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: On the Road.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: She's... Wait a minute.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I've got it here.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: She's kind of like the main chick.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I'm trying to think if there was a main chick, though.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: Really? Really.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Oh they'll just write her in yeah i'm sure yeah maybe.
- 1:10:02Speaker 11: She'll sparkle it just as long as they didn't have
- 1:10:04Speaker 11: i just had this instant thought that they'd put johnny
- 1:10:07Speaker 11: depp in it.
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: And that see that's one i kind of expected actually
- 1:10:10Speaker 7: because they don't i don't know i mean it's a
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: tough call in a way it's almost too close because
- 1:10:16Speaker 7: i know he really is into that he's he's like
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: right done different variations and actually it He did a
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: song based on his work that I think will work
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: in here now because there's one on that Kerouac album
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: that's kind of cool. Once again, him crossing over into
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: music for years there. He does some adaptation of a
- 1:10:36Speaker 7: Kerouac work. I know he's really into them. I could
- 1:10:39Speaker 7: also see him being kind of passionate about it and
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: wanting to get into it, but it would also, to me,
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: fall into that category. It would almost go into a
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: weird area that I... It would be almost to its detriment.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I kind of agree.
- 1:10:52Speaker 11: There's the whole fear and loathing in Las Vegas thing.
- 1:10:55Speaker 11: That was very disappointing to me.
- 1:10:59Speaker 7: Yeah, he could almost fall into some sort of weird
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: caricature of it, which he definitely did there.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: So it's, yeah, I can see. I'll probably just stay
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: away myself. I mean, it's interesting.
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: I don't like the Kristen Stewart part, but again, most
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: of the first part, because it was Kristen Stewart and
- 1:11:13Speaker 7: Kirsten Dunst, which I'm like, she has her moments of
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: being a good actress, but she can walk through a
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: lot of roles.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: So I'm worried about that one. The new one they
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: added was Amy Adams, which I'm like, eh, she's at
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: least a decent actress.
- 1:11:26Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: It's her and Viggo Mortensen.
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: As the drug-addling husband and wife duo, the old bully
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: and Jane.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: So that'll be interesting.
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: We can definitely see Viggo fitting into one of his stories.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: But I hadn't heard much else on the specifics of it,
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: and it sounds a little better the more I found
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: out about it.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: It is Walter Salus and Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation. So
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: to me, it's like if you've got Coppola involved, that's
- 1:11:57Speaker 7: especially I mean, he hasn't done a ton of directing lately.
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: So I think he just wants to be producer. But again,
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: I think he's a hands on kind of producer and
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: he probably will sort of steer it where it needs
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: to go.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: So I feel a little better knowing he's involved.
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: And then Walter Salas did The Motorcycle Diaries, which I
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: was just. looking at, like, the trailer again, of, like,
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: that has that feeling. Like, it very much is that
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: period piece kind of thing. It's got that journey kind
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: of thing and this grand character. So I think he's
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: probably the right way to go as a director, too.
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: So the stars of it, I mean, the guys are
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: huge at this point. Sam Riley from Control, and then Garrett... Hedlund,
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: who will be huge probably by next year because he's
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: in Tron Legacy. So they're going to play Sal, and
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: Garrett is going to play Dean Moriarty.
- 1:12:46Speaker 11: I think if they stay away from, to me, the
- 1:12:50Speaker 11: way it would work, if they really did, if they
- 1:12:53Speaker 11: keep away from marketing it to Hot Topic Kids, that's
- 1:12:58Speaker 11: step one. If they stay and they actually try to
- 1:13:00Speaker 11: make it authentic. And then make it more like, did
- 1:13:05Speaker 11: you see Into the Wild? I can't remember his name.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: McCandless was the guy. I guess Sean Penn directed that.
- 1:13:13Speaker 11: He kept taking moments from his life, and it really
- 1:13:17Speaker 11: was a well-told story.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Something like that. But if they made it more like
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Fear and the Little Thing in Las Vegas, I think
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: it would just completely turn me off.
- 1:13:28Speaker 11: So I think there's something there, but it would have
- 1:13:31Speaker 11: to be handled very well.
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: Which, again, with both of these guys involved, director and producer-wise,
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: they don't seem to fall into that category. They don't
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: seem to do crazy, over-the-top sort of characters. I mean,
- 1:13:43Speaker 7: especially looking at Salas' last couple of big movies.
- 1:13:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: I don't know. It seems like it's on the right track.
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: Again, I'm not thrilled with some of the casting here,
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: but some of it's okay.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: So I don't know. It's yet to be seen. I
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: hope Kristen Stewart gets a TV show and stays there
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: for about 40 years that I never watch. Quit putting
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: her in decent properties.
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: Yeah, whatever happened to the girl from Donnie Darko? She
- 1:14:08Speaker 12: would have been much better in Christmas.
- 1:14:09Speaker 10: Megan.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Jenna Malone.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Jenna Malone.
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: That's what she has the exact same.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: She's the exact same.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: She's so gorgeous.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: Only she's way better.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: Her face doesn't bother me one.
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: But they're kind of similar looking. Yeah, they're kind of
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: similar looking.
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: I can see them getting cast in the same role.
- 1:14:26Speaker 12: I think she could do it better.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: Oh, easily. Definitely better.
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: Because jenna malone you actually buy into like you believe
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: her as a person whereas like kristen stewart just sort
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: of stands there and she isn't a person.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Are you a fucking android yeah she's.
- 1:14:40Speaker 8: Just like she just seems bored and like pissed off
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: the whole time yeah like in all the twilight movies
- 1:14:45Speaker 8: she's just in.
- 1:14:45Speaker 14: All of her movies well you know she what what
- 1:14:50Speaker 14: gets me is you know obviously there's people casting these
- 1:14:53Speaker 14: movies you know that she's in and I've got to wonder,
- 1:14:56Speaker 14: there's got to be girls that go up for these
- 1:14:59Speaker 14: roles that think, my God, she performed better than me
- 1:15:04Speaker 14: reading the script?
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: How?
- 1:15:06Speaker 11: That's the part that I don't understand. There's that real
- 1:15:08Speaker 11: world of there are people competing against her. Who's competing
- 1:15:12Speaker 11: against her? Because there's obviously somebody better. Unless they're just
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: tagging her, she will be in this movie because we
- 1:15:17Speaker 11: can sell it.
- 1:15:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: And there, there is no competition. I think that's what
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: it is. I think it, especially with marketing machine people.
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: Yeah. At her level right now. Like if you're, it's
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: all hype. She is the, again, she is the actress
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: to go to. If you need somebody in her age range,
- 1:15:32Speaker 7: that's who they're giving it to. Look at the fucking
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: runaways movie. She doesn't fit that part at all. If
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: you ask me, but she was the name. It's like,
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: there were only two girls that were really big names in.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: That age range really. And they were like, they gave
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: it to both of them. So, I mean, it's like,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: and a lot of good that it did. Yes.
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: I mean, it's, it's, It's just one of those, you're
- 1:15:50Speaker 7: one of those people. If you fall into that category,
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: you get projects thrown at you, and it's greenlit with
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: you involved before it even hits anything else, before there's
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: a screenplay half the time. It's just a project with
- 1:16:01Speaker 7: your name attached to it.
- 1:16:03Speaker 12: I would have even been okay with the older girl
- 1:16:05Speaker 12: from Zombieland.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, she's actually pretty good too.
- 1:16:08Speaker 10: She's actually coming out.
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: She's going to be in a new movie where she
- 1:16:12Speaker 8: plays a girl who pretends to have sex with nerdy
- 1:16:15Speaker 8: guys in her school so everyone thinks.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: She's a whore.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:16:18Speaker 10: But she's not. She just goes in a room and
- 1:16:20Speaker 10: screams really loud.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Where was that service when I was there?
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: I mean, I would have liked to finish the deal,
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: but I would have taken that.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't have to. Just tell everybody. Just tell
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: everybody we did it. It's a good idea, actually. We
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: need to get on this.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: You're making noise. while playing like Pac-Man.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: Oh this could be a good movie actually yeah right
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: and then they bond and then.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: They fall in love I see where this is going
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: ideas Hollywood ideas fresh.
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: New ideas listen I don't know we stole that one
- 1:16:53Speaker 7: it really is a movie.
- 1:16:55Speaker 8: In her class they're reading the scarlet letter so she
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: like puts scarlet letters on all her clothes and everyone's
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: like I just want to see this movie so.
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Bad right Awesome. I bet they're not playing Pac-Man in
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: the movie though.
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: Unless they're going super retro. Alright, I think that will
- 1:17:13Speaker 7: wrap up part one. We can rock out with Johnny's
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: music now. What was his band's name? Do you really
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: want to know?
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I just keep thinking it's like Sparkle Horse or something. No.
- 1:17:26Speaker 10: Sparkle Horse.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: That's one of those other ones. Then it is now.
- 1:17:30Speaker 16: Right?
- 1:17:30Speaker 10: Even my band, Sparkle Horse.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I think it already is a band. Yeah, I think
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: it is.
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: I think you're thinking of the Counter Reeves band.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: They were Dogstar. Dogstar. Why do I know that? But
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I do. Yeah, that's right. I did know that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: I own an album.
- 1:17:43Speaker 10: I actually am starting a band, but we don't have
- 1:17:46Speaker 10: a name for it yet.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: Jerry, are you going to have an accordion in your band? Yes,
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: there is.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I figured.
- 1:17:52Speaker 10: And a banjo, and a fiddle, and a washed up bass,
- 1:17:55Speaker 10: and a washboard.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: My little brother has a mandolin. He's 16. He's looking
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: to be in band.
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: Well, knowing our group here, I probably shouldn't tell you
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: the name of the band. And I don't know if
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: this was always his band or just whoever he got
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: together on this project. But the listing for this is
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: Johnny Depp and Come On.
- 1:18:13Speaker 10: Hmm.
- 1:18:14Speaker 15: Really?
- 1:18:14Speaker 10: That's what she said.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I didn't even know that.
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: Right?
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 1:18:18Speaker 14: Interesting.
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: How did that thing come?
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Spelled? It's spelled the right way, actually.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Not like the Tesla way. That's good.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: I thought you said not the Tesla way, and I
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: was like.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: What the fuck does Tesla have to do with anything?
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Nikolai Tesla, why?
- 1:18:35Speaker 8: Why?
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Oh, screw Benjamin Franklin.
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: Inventing the radio was hard.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: On that note, we will roll on out of here
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: and invite you to come back and join us for
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: this week's Sofa Theater feature, Dream.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Yes come back.

- 1:19:14Speaker 16: Wasatch snow has promised us in the vision of the West.
- 1:19:18Speaker 16: Spine heights at the world's end, coast of blue Pacific
- 1:19:21Speaker 16: starry night. No bone half banana moon sloping in a
- 1:19:25Speaker 16: tangled night sky. The torments of great formations and mist.
- 1:19:31Speaker 16: The huddled invisible insect in the car racing onwards.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Illuminate.
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: The raw cut.

- 1:20:01Speaker 16: The charging, restless mute, unvoiced road keening in a seizure
- 1:20:05Speaker 16: of turbulent power into the route. Fabulous plots of landowners
- 1:20:10Speaker 16: in green unexpected. Ditches by the side of the road.
- 1:20:16Speaker 16: As I look from here to Elko along the level
- 1:20:18Speaker 16: of this pin parallel to telephone poles, I can see
- 1:20:22Speaker 16: a bug playing in the hot sun.
- 1:20:25Speaker 9: Swish.
- 1:20:26Speaker 16: Hit yourself a ride beyond the fastest freight train. Beat
- 1:20:32Speaker 16: the smoke, find the thighs, spend the shiny, throw the shroud.
- 1:20:37Speaker 16: Kiss the morning star in the morning glass. Mad roads
- 1:20:41Speaker 16: driving men ahead. Pencil traceries of our faintest wish and
- 1:20:47Speaker 16: the travel of the horizon merge. Nosy cloud up-busks in
- 1:20:52Speaker 16: a dravel.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Of speechless distance.
- 1:20:54Speaker 16: The black sheep clouds cling a parallel above the steams
- 1:20:58Speaker 16: of the CBQ. Serried little Missouri rocks haunt the badlands. Harsh,
- 1:21:05Speaker 16: dry brown fields roll in the moonlight with a shiny
