- 0:03Speaker 2: Oh hello, sava.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Ah Savah, Welcome to season two of Emily in Paris.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Just kidding, guys, what's up. It's us on the Lunai.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We're doing.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Season two is a whole different show.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Right right, A revoir renoir, nice.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Revraw, wow renoir. I like it. I would say it.
- 0:32Speaker 5: I'm trying to trying to fit in.
- 0:35Speaker 6: Rover on the Launai is part of the Odd Pods
- 0:43Speaker 6: media network.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well you fitted anywhere you go.
- 1:06Speaker 3: That's why you are our Stan and our frequent gas
- 1:09Speaker 3: ladies and gentlemen with us today. The one, the only
- 1:12Speaker 3: Aaron Randolph.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Hey, it's me Stan.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Hey, Hey, you wearing a Game of Thrones shirt?
- 1:23Speaker 5: No, actually, so this is a wolf. That's a ram
- 1:30Speaker 5: and that's a heart.
- 1:31Speaker 2: M hm.
- 1:32Speaker 5: So if you know the show Angel at all.
- 1:36Speaker 2: From a heart?
- 1:37Speaker 7: Oh my god, I just got it.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Is that a character's name?
- 1:42Speaker 5: No? No, it is the evil, the evil.
- 1:46Speaker 2: From an eviler.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Oh yes, it's it's amazing. I love that show quite
- 1:53Speaker 5: a bit.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Damn.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Season four can skip rocks, but everything else, everything else
- 1:59Speaker 5: is solid.
- 2:00Speaker 3: If I had realized what your shirt was ahead of time,
- 2:02Speaker 3: I think I would have ditched Emily in Paris and
- 2:05Speaker 3: gone heavy on an Angel season two like open. So
- 2:09Speaker 3: I apologize everyone for my lack of comedy.
- 2:12Speaker 5: It's all good, Okay, it's all good.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Way, what's going on with everybody? Anything new? Anyone watching anything,
- 2:20Speaker 1: doing anything?
- 2:22Speaker 5: There is something? Sorry I didn't need to interrupt, Christen,
- 2:26Speaker 5: but I just absolutely love this show. There's only six
- 2:29Speaker 5: episodes of it, so you'll rip through it. But and
- 2:32Speaker 5: you have to get the only way to legally watch
- 2:35Speaker 5: it in the US is through a service, a streaming
- 2:38Speaker 5: service called brit Box. But there is a show called Ludwig.
- 2:44Speaker 5: It is about a professional puzzle setter like he has
- 2:50Speaker 5: his own series of puzzle books and he's apparently somewhat
- 2:53Speaker 5: famous because multiple people through the series know who he is.
- 2:57Speaker 5: But he is a twin and his twin brother, who
- 3:02Speaker 5: is a police detective, goes missing, and to find out
- 3:07Speaker 5: what happened, his wife sends him into the police station
- 3:13Speaker 5: to pretend to be him to try and find out
- 3:15Speaker 5: what's happened. And while he's just trying to get into
- 3:18Speaker 5: his office to get some info and then leave the
- 3:21Speaker 5: the other police drag him into multiple murder cases which
- 3:25Speaker 5: he then has to solve. It is it is a
- 3:30Speaker 5: comedy mystery and it's one of the best I've ever seen,
- 3:33Speaker 5: probably breaks up there with psych It's it's not it's
- 3:36Speaker 5: not as funny, but it's very, very good, and I
- 3:41Speaker 5: the plenty of laughter be had. David Mitchell is brilliant
- 3:45Speaker 5: in this role. It's playing like a slightly autistic man
- 3:50Speaker 5: who doesn't know social graces at all. He's lived alone
- 3:54Speaker 5: his whole life kind of thing. So it's it's very good.
- 3:59Speaker 5: And like I said, it's only six episodes, so you
- 4:01Speaker 5: will rip through it. But I absolutely I was obsessed
- 4:04Speaker 5: with it from like episode one and I was just like,
- 4:06Speaker 5: this is amazing. I need more. Thankfully they're doing more.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So thank you for that recommendation.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that sounds really good. Now, I know you and
- 4:17Speaker 3: I both like mystery writing. Do you have and mystery stories?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Have you seen the Residence at all? That's on Netflix?
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's not as new It is the residence in question,
- 4:32Speaker 3: by the way, is the White House. But the girl
- 4:34Speaker 3: that played Crazy Eyes on Orange's New Black, I can
- 4:36Speaker 3: never remember her name, and then I don't say yes.
- 4:42Speaker 3: She is the lead detective character and she is a
- 4:45Speaker 3: quirky curmudgeony in some way like, she's a delight in this.
- 4:49Speaker 3: It's such a departure from roles i've seen her in elsewhere.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It's a lot of fun. It's eight episodes and I'm
- 4:55Speaker 3: halfway through it, but I would recommend that, and if
- 4:59Speaker 3: you hate it, that's cool. I'm not gonna I don't
- 5:02Speaker 3: want to be TV pusher. Sometimes I push things on Kristen, like.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Have you watched it yet? Have you watched it yet?
- 5:09Speaker 5: Have you watched it yet? Have you watched it yet?
- 5:12Speaker 5: That's fair?
- 5:13Speaker 7: Well, no, I'm reading my books.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah, funk off, I'm reading.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Although the other day when she was talking about Temptation
- 5:24Speaker 3: Island with me, I did shame her, rightfully so and
- 5:27Speaker 3: he said, oh, I'm sorry you didn't watch a beautifully
- 5:29Speaker 3: scripted story about the craziness of the Catholic Church and
- 5:33Speaker 3: fake demons and stuff.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But you have time for Temptation Island three.
- 5:38Speaker 7: Because trash reality TV I can throw on in the
- 5:42Speaker 7: background while cooking or reading, or it's background noise. It's
- 5:46Speaker 7: not something I actually have to pay attention to because
- 5:49Speaker 7: there's no plot.
- 5:50Speaker 3: This wasn't a shame vehicle here because it was an example.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Of how I tease you.
- 5:56Speaker 3: You've already explained yourself and by all means I watch
- 6:00Speaker 3: Love Island.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Well I explained it to you.
- 6:03Speaker 1: But wow, ladies and gentlemen, hold.
- 6:08Speaker 5: On yet again, Christien's last episode.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yet she keeps finding her way back in. Yeah, it's weird.
- 6:24Speaker 1: No one ever believes me. But we're in an abusive relationship.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And she's the aggressor nine percent of the time.
- 6:33Speaker 2: When the doors are closed, when no one can see.
- 6:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah, if you guys could have been a fly on
- 6:40Speaker 3: the wall when she was living in my house for
- 6:42Speaker 3: two weeks, you would know that she's not always merry sunshine. Okay,
- 6:47Speaker 3: let me just tell you I'm not always She hit.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You with stuff that did leave bruises. Wow, yeah, yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 2: Oh she's pointing your birds. It's not I was like,
- 7:00Speaker 2: are you accusing Aaron?
- 7:01Speaker 7: No, just show up, no idea, I got it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Oh, I get those all the time.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I didn't realize bruises are three weeks to a pear thing.
- 7:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 3: All right, Well, we've got some great show recommendations. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 3: but let's talk about the show that we are watching together,
- 7:21Speaker 3: and Gina tell us about it.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Well, The Golden Girls Season two, Episode one, End of
- 7:32Speaker 2: the Curse original air date September twenty seven, nineteen eighty six,
- 7:40Speaker 2: directed Terry Hughes, written Susan Harris Wit. She added another
- 7:49Speaker 2: name that made end of the curse. What do you
- 7:53Speaker 2: think that's about? Best?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Good job, Bishop, you got it right.
- 8:00Speaker 5: I think the Miami Dolphins are finally going to go
- 8:05Speaker 5: to the Super Bowl.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I like it. I like it.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Actually, I'm lying. I've already seen the episode. I was like,
- 8:13Speaker 5: I put together the quiz for this episode.
- 8:16Speaker 2: I guess, I guess, just a crystal guess, and.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I didn't watch it yet, but I do know the answer.
- 8:23Speaker 7: Oh, it's the end of some Sicilian curse that was
- 8:27Speaker 7: placed on Dorothy and Sophia's family.
- 8:31Speaker 5: Got it in one. I'm just that good.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Who do you think the villain is?
- 8:44Speaker 7: I want to make it hard for n It seeings
- 8:46Speaker 7: so easy for her. So let's go with.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Rose Rose, Nylon, Nay Lindstrom drum.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Okay, we locked it in.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I wrote it down in ink in my official on
- 9:01Speaker 3: the linin notebook.
- 9:03Speaker 5: That's as official as official gets.
- 9:07Speaker 2: We just need it notarized now in triplicate.
- 9:12Speaker 1: No, don't ideal with my tongue.
- 9:14Speaker 8: Can I like the paper?
- 9:16Speaker 1: Oh?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Of course, Abby, Thank you. Yes, Abby's still here in
- 9:20Speaker 2: season two, is still producing.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yeah, she was taking a nap at the end of
- 9:26Speaker 3: season one and I didn't want anyone to think that
- 9:28Speaker 3: she had met her untimely demise. So she is here
- 9:33Speaker 3: for this episode entirely.
- 9:37Speaker 2: What did you say, Aaron?
- 9:41Speaker 5: I didn't say anything. Oh okay, I was expressing some
- 9:45Speaker 5: love for Abby.
- 9:46Speaker 7: Oh yeah, we love producer Abby.
- 9:50Speaker 6: Well, we have to go watch the episode, so we'll
- 9:54Speaker 6: be right back with you after a word from our
- 9:57Speaker 6: fantastic podcast part.
- 10:40Speaker 5: And we're back.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I was waiting for Aaron to say something, but I
- 10:45Speaker 2: think she fell asleep.
- 10:48Speaker 5: And we're back up.
- 10:51Speaker 8: She woke up.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Oh there she is.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Hi.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Welcome miss what's an Aaron host our show?
- 11:00Speaker 3: That was that? That's that's an episode.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It sure was.
- 11:07Speaker 2: There's definitely a theater at a beginning of middle end
- 11:10Speaker 2: and in words that helps to characters and had art.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'm going to defer to our guest quiz master.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I don't know how you want to run this second
- 11:24Speaker 3: little bit of a mare show.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Well, seeing as I'm doing the quiz this time, I
- 11:31Speaker 5: guess I should just launch into it right. Well, you're
- 11:34Speaker 5: still fresh, hope you're paying attention because I tried to
- 11:38Speaker 5: put some real stumpers in here, and the bonus question
- 11:41Speaker 5: is a super stumper. You really have to have been
- 11:44Speaker 5: paying attention. All right, But let's do the regular questions first.
- 11:50Speaker 5: If you're already once again like per usual, buzz in
- 11:53Speaker 5: using your own name, and here is your first question.
- 11:58Speaker 5: At the beginning of the episode, so Dorothy warns Rose
- 12:01Speaker 5: that something's being built on.
- 12:03Speaker 9: What Gina, Gina, what do you say was the Everglades?
- 12:14Speaker 5: It was the Everglades. That's a point for Gina, Well done, nice,
- 12:20Speaker 5: all right? Question numero tuoh. When Sophia sees Dorothy slapping
- 12:29Speaker 5: the fainted Rose, what does she say?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Aaron? Aaron, play nice kids?
- 12:37Speaker 5: Close, but I'll give it to you, she says, play
- 12:39Speaker 5: nice girls.
- 12:41Speaker 2: This is weird having to compete against Aaron.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Yeah. Now she has a chance to take the wind
- 12:47Speaker 5: from y'all. But we'll see how it goes. It's one
- 12:50Speaker 5: point to Gina, one to Aaron. Nothing for Christen yet.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Question number three. When Rose reveals they had a pig
- 12:59Speaker 5: that got pregnant and they didn't know who the father was.
- 13:01Speaker 5: What is Dorothy's response, Kristen, Kristen, what you do on
- 13:07Speaker 5: Father's Day. I'll give that to you. I had the
- 13:10Speaker 5: whole thing. Oh my god, Rose, what did you do
- 13:12Speaker 5: on Father's Day?
- 13:14Speaker 2: It was a great line.
- 13:17Speaker 5: All right, I need an exact answer on this. I
- 13:20Speaker 5: will not allow close enough. Question four, What name does
- 13:24Speaker 5: Sophia suggest for the child if it's a boy?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Oh, Gina, is it? Aron?
- 13:33Speaker 5: Gina, Buzzden first.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Rick, Joe, John, Bob, Dave, No, damn it.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Aaron? Is it? Rick, John, Joe, Bob, Dave, Kristen.
- 13:50Speaker 9: We're close, Rick, Dave, John, Joe, Bob, No, you were
- 13:56Speaker 9: all close.
- 13:57Speaker 5: It is Rick, Joe, Bob, Don.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Dave, Oh, Don not John?
- 14:03Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 14:03Speaker 5: No John in there anywhere? You guys kept putting John in, Rick, Joe, Bob, Don, Dave.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I absolutely love that line. Okay, it is one point
- 14:15Speaker 5: for everybody. Here is question number five. What detective does
- 14:20Speaker 5: Dorothy like in Rose? Two? When Rose confirms blanches in
- 14:23Speaker 5: her bedroom? Christina Kristen just got in is right? Two
- 14:30Speaker 5: points to Christen. Question number six, what time does Sophia
- 14:35Speaker 5: say it is when she sees a man apparently talking
- 14:37Speaker 5: to himself?
- 14:41Speaker 9: Gina, Gina, what.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Do you got banana? Boat time?
- 14:45Speaker 5: That's that's right, banana boat time two points of Gina,
- 14:51Speaker 5: two points to Christen, one for Aaron. Here is question
- 14:54Speaker 5: number seven, When she first talks to the psychiatrist, Blanche
- 14:59Speaker 5: laments that she was what kind of queen Kristen kristin
- 15:03Speaker 5: the Magnolia queen is right? Three points to Kristen, two
- 15:08Speaker 5: to Gina, one for Aaron. Question number eight, when Dorothy
- 15:13Speaker 5: is pleased to see Blanche out of bed when she's
- 15:15Speaker 5: talking about life going on, what does Blanche say is
- 15:17Speaker 5: the only reason she's sticking around Kristin Kristen for Daniel
- 15:26Speaker 5: Steele's next book is right? When describing her friend that
- 15:31Speaker 5: got pregnant at seventy two, Sophia claims it's in what
- 15:34Speaker 5: book of records?
- 15:36Speaker 7: Kristin Kristen Gara Baldi book of records?
- 15:39Speaker 5: Yep, that's right. And finally number ten, what are the
- 15:45Speaker 5: four names of Dorothy and Roses Minx.
- 15:48Speaker 7: Kristin Kristen, Buffy, Muffy Buffy and Joanne?
- 15:52Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, rememberne Kristin barnstormed it as is apparently the Yeah,
- 16:02Speaker 5: it's the only one of us with a functioning memory.
- 16:05Speaker 1: But here she takes notes it's not memory.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I thought Aaron was gonna stop.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Well, I hope she was paying attention for this last question.
- 16:15Speaker 5: This is a bonus question, and this is really hard.
- 16:18Speaker 5: It will stay out front. Did you pay attention all
- 16:21Speaker 5: the way through the episode? For double points? It's not
- 16:26Speaker 5: mentioned aloud during the episode, but during the credits it's
- 16:31Speaker 5: revealed that the psychiast the psychiatrist's name was what Gina
- 16:40Speaker 5: Gina buzzing.
- 16:41Speaker 2: In doctor barons Field.
- 16:44Speaker 5: It's right, doctor Baron's Feld. Yeah, nice, very nice. Yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 5: it was just one of those things I noticed when
- 16:52Speaker 5: they're sitting in psychiatrist's office, they never say his name,
- 16:55Speaker 5: and I was like, who is this guy? Does he
- 16:57Speaker 5: have it? Does he have a name?
- 16:59Speaker 7: Is he just psychi Now he's been on the show before,
- 17:01Speaker 7: hasn't he. He looked really familiar, but maybe.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Not so he might be on the show later. They
- 17:10Speaker 3: recycle men because Blanche has so many boyfriends that a
- 17:13Speaker 3: lot of times.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Oh yes, let's come plastic.
- 17:22Speaker 5: Okay, just recyclists. It's fine. But yeah, Kristen had five
- 17:31Speaker 5: Gina with that double points. In the end got four
- 17:34Speaker 5: points and Aaron had won.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It's okay, And that was because Aaron had challenged Aaron
- 17:43Speaker 2: to be a quiz master and he took up that
- 17:47Speaker 2: challenge a hell of a job.
- 17:51Speaker 5: I thought I was going to get you more than once.
- 17:52Speaker 5: But there was only one question on here you guys
- 17:54Speaker 5: didn't get and that was just the name of the
- 17:56Speaker 5: five names in a row, and it was just because
- 17:58Speaker 5: it was ridiculous specific But yeah, you guys nailed it. Well.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Then I made us real proud, me specifically as the
- 18:06Speaker 3: person that writes the quizzes.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You made me real proud.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Good Joe, Thank you, Thank you. I had. I had
- 18:12Speaker 5: a mountain to climb to match up to you, so
- 18:16Speaker 5: I did the best I could.
- 18:18Speaker 1: You're the king of quiz games.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Well, all right, I guess we should move on. Any
- 18:25Speaker 5: trivia about this episode.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Mmm, so we talked about doctor Behrensfield was played by
- 18:31Speaker 2: Philip Sterling, and he also plays the psychiatrist doctor Ashley
- 18:37Speaker 2: in Three on a Couch, which I think is when
- 18:40Speaker 2: they're like fighting so much they want to like get help,
- 18:45Speaker 2: which I don't remember what season that is. He was
- 18:48Speaker 2: on the show called Sisters, which I never saw. Have
- 18:51Speaker 2: you guys seen that show?
- 18:53Speaker 1: I did. I watched that show with my mom.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Do you recall this man?
- 18:58Speaker 1: I do?
- 18:59Speaker 2: Ah.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Also, I didn't tell you his name, even though you
- 19:04Speaker 3: just said it, Sterling.
- 19:07Speaker 5: I've seen him in other things. He does a lot
- 19:10Speaker 5: of character work.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Miss Ruth McGillicutty won an Emmy for Lead Actress for
- 19:16Speaker 2: this episode. She did a lot of dramatic work here.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Blanche in this episode says.
- 19:24Speaker 5: She especially one of the minks.
- 19:30Speaker 2: That's just what we call rub mclanahankillicutty.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Ruth McGillicutty, do you want the Emmy for this episode?
- 19:40Speaker 2: She shir did?
- 19:42Speaker 5: Really did they watch it? It was a good episode.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Didn't care for her acting.
- 19:54Speaker 5: I don't know. I just didn't think this was the
- 19:56Speaker 5: funniest episode. To be fair, in my defense, we did
- 20:01Speaker 5: immediately record the season one ender before this, and that
- 20:05Speaker 5: was a banger of an episode, so compared to that,
- 20:09Speaker 5: this is not as good, at least in my book.
- 20:11Speaker 5: It didn't have as many cup busting laughs.
- 20:14Speaker 7: So yeah, it wasn't as funny, but it was more
- 20:16Speaker 7: of like a relevant topic to aging women, I think.
- 20:20Speaker 5: And I yeah, and I will say that her performance
- 20:23Speaker 5: in the scene with the therapist was actually pretty good.
- 20:27Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 20:28Speaker 5: I'm not saying she's not an outstanding actress. I'm just
- 20:30Speaker 5: saying this wasn't my favorite episode by some margins.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So her drawn out accent just always gets me.
- 20:37Speaker 7: Well, and Blanche is always a little over the top.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, she's.
- 20:42Speaker 1: The melodramatic one to be sure.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Yeah, my life is over.
- 20:48Speaker 2: In this episode, Blanche says she is fifty five at
- 20:52Speaker 2: the time Rue was only fifty two, so not too
- 20:57Speaker 2: far off.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And then all of the actresses were animal activists and
- 21:03Speaker 2: they didn't particularly like the script I was reading and killings.
- 21:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I was really surprised they did that because, yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 7: it just seemed out of character, especially for Betty White,
- 21:18Speaker 7: who I know is really into the animal activism.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Maybe that's why in the end they're like, no, they stay,
- 21:23Speaker 2: we serve them, you know.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 3: That was like, yeah, all right, well, Aaron, you're you're,
- 21:34Speaker 3: as we call you, the acclaimed author.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Would you like to plug your books your show?
- 21:39Speaker 2: We gotta do the villain honey, Yeah, sorry, honey, apologize, honey, bunny.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Here She's like, let's up.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Look, Rose always foots the bill when she's the villain.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I mean, Rose is the kindest, sweet, it is most
- 22:00Speaker 3: lovely person, but she is the judgiest motherfucker on the planet.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Now calls are a slut and a psycho.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, she denounces therapy like, yeah, like you know
- 22:16Speaker 5: it's psycho, it's for psychos, and and I'm like this.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I am pro therapy.
- 22:20Speaker 5: No, I am a thousand per pro therapy. It is.
- 22:24Speaker 5: It is absolutely amazing and it does worlds of good
- 22:26Speaker 5: for a lot of people who are not, by any
- 22:29Speaker 5: means psycho. You know, mental illness is not a thing
- 22:34Speaker 5: to be ashamed of. And it was a little hurtful
- 22:38Speaker 5: for Rose to come in and be like, that's you know,
- 22:41Speaker 5: that's for psychos.
- 22:42Speaker 8: I was.
- 22:42Speaker 5: I was genuinely surprised that they made her say it.
- 22:46Speaker 2: There seemed to be a stigma about it. And you
- 22:50Speaker 2: don't have to have a mental illness. You can just
- 22:52Speaker 2: be like, I just want to talk this out.
- 22:54Speaker 5: I want to you know, things, things are rough in perspective,
- 22:58Speaker 5: say what's on my mind and some genuine hey.
- 23:02Speaker 2: You yeah, you call a therapist today and then call
- 23:06Speaker 2: your mother. Yeah, she's the reason you have to go
- 23:10Speaker 2: with her.
- 23:17Speaker 5: In a lot of cases. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Rose was like you said, you teed it up for
- 23:24Speaker 2: Aaron mm hmm.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Should have picked her uterus.
- 23:30Speaker 2: But you didn't know, Kristen, did you think it was
- 23:34Speaker 2: going to be that kind of a curse. No, because
- 23:37Speaker 2: I think I heard you figuring it out mid episode.
- 23:40Speaker 7: Well yeah, part way through the episode, I'm like, oh,
- 23:42Speaker 7: this is about menopause. I knew exactly where they were
- 23:45Speaker 7: going with it once they they started, because when she's like,
- 23:48Speaker 7: I'm pregnant, she's not pregnant.
- 23:51Speaker 2: When you first watched it, Aaron, did you know or
- 23:54Speaker 2: were you like, what curse are they talking?
- 23:56Speaker 5: Well, unfortunately, my media server actually puts the episodes description
- 24:01Speaker 5: before I can click it to watch it, so I
- 24:04Speaker 5: saw immediately what it was about. Okay, Okay, if you
- 24:09Speaker 5: had just given me the title, I think what Chris
- 24:12Speaker 5: and guest would be probably what I'd go with a
- 24:15Speaker 5: Sicilian some some some kind of Sicilian thing, because that's
- 24:19Speaker 5: totally her bag.
- 24:22Speaker 3: How about that archaic pregnancy test that Blanche had.
- 24:26Speaker 2: It was like a little vial and you dunk it
- 24:30Speaker 2: in the toilet.
- 24:31Speaker 5: How do you it looks like a perfume sample.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not used to them like that.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Now it's just like you pee on a little stick yep.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Apparently back then you needed some sort of cup you
- 24:46Speaker 3: didn't care about anymore, an hye dropper and a small
- 24:50Speaker 3: cork to pregnant.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Maybe it came with the cork.
- 24:54Speaker 1: It probably came with the cork.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and you have to wait till the color turns,
- 24:58Speaker 2: and it could be up to jerryation. Shit, what if
- 25:00Speaker 2: you're color blind?
- 25:02Speaker 1: Is it gray?
- 25:03Speaker 5: Is it?
- 25:03Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I don't know how accurate those things were.
- 25:10Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 25:10Speaker 2: And she waited till she was nine weeks late.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Clearly not she thought she was pregnant. It turned out no.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Yeah, why did she get a false positive?
- 25:19Speaker 5: False positive?
- 25:22Speaker 7: There's a lot of hormones of menopause that could cause it.
- 25:25Speaker 7: But again, those tests, I don't think we're greatly accurate.
- 25:29Speaker 5: So that's underselling it.
- 25:33Speaker 2: If anyone here had hot flashes, I know, I think
- 25:36Speaker 2: we all have. I mean, I've gotten hot. I don't
- 25:39Speaker 2: know if that's officially hot.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I've had an occasional hot flash because they removed
- 25:44Speaker 7: my uterus.
- 25:45Speaker 5: I have flash, but the hormones, nobody has said it
- 25:49Speaker 5: was hot.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Do you just feel like you're on fire? Christen?
- 25:55Speaker 7: Yeah, it's like I'll be like, oh my gosh, I'm roasting,
- 25:58Speaker 7: and Jeremy's like it's like sixty five degrees in here.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I don't know what your problem is. It's a personal problem,
- 26:05Speaker 2: but they did warn me that would happen.
- 26:07Speaker 1: So yeah, I get the night sweats a little bit.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I know for sure that I'm in what's called perimenopause,
- 26:15Speaker 3: which most women start to experience in their forties.
- 26:18Speaker 2: So yay, is that a pre menopause?
- 26:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Basically it's like a trailer for what's to come.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Man attractions trailer.
- 26:33Speaker 5: In a world your uterus eventually has to give up
- 26:36Speaker 5: the ghost.
- 26:39Speaker 2: There you go. It's funny to a boy.
- 26:43Speaker 5: It's not funny. Part of life.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Cursed with giving life.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I hate to be the buzz killed that tries to
- 26:52Speaker 3: end the show for a second time, but this time
- 26:55Speaker 3: it's for real.
- 26:56Speaker 5: But he's really in a hurry.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Man, we're trying to get you.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Do you want to talk about Yeah, we're trying to
- 27:03Speaker 3: be cursed.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I I just.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Love spending time with you ladies, so you know, bring
- 27:09Speaker 5: never in a hurry to run away.
- 27:11Speaker 1: So all right, but.
- 27:13Speaker 5: It's an absolute joy being here, and I'll be happy
- 27:16Speaker 5: to come back for any more Stand episodes.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we love having or non stand. I just yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 2: I just enjoyed that here. Hell yeah, we get lost
- 27:24Speaker 2: in your eyes.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Oh the exit is well lit. So thank you so
- 27:34Speaker 5: much for having me again. It means the world.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Thank you anytime, truly. The door is open for you, sir.
- 27:42Speaker 2: If you're not reading a better reputation, oh sorry, go ahead.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yes, you have a better reputation than Stan was all
- 27:48Speaker 3: I was going to say.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I will admit to not having been
- 27:56Speaker 5: thrilled with that being the only real option. But he
- 27:59Speaker 5: is like one of the few men who is a
- 28:01Speaker 5: recurring character.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Yes, it girls on you. He's pretty likable.
- 28:05Speaker 7: Yeah, he sucks a little bit, but you're a better
- 28:08Speaker 7: person than he is.
- 28:11Speaker 5: I'll take that.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You never ran off to Maui with a.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Yeah, not doing a lot of running, just being a
- 28:21Speaker 5: big fellow, gently saunter off to Maui.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Let's say you hustle in Vegas.
- 28:27Speaker 5: With the with the librarian's assistant.
- 28:29Speaker 7: Maybe, Oh yeah, funk out of me.
- 28:35Speaker 3: I have to tell you this fish over here, Kristen.
- 28:39Speaker 3: She made me hopscotch when she was here, she made
- 28:44Speaker 3: she made me a hopscotch.
- 28:46Speaker 5: So she put a gun to your head.
- 28:48Speaker 2: She dropped on the ground so much.
- 28:52Speaker 3: She was like, do this, do this, And I was like, okay.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Was it already on the ground.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, we were called Hopscotch, And I.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Mean, if you're at a place called Hopscotch.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I apologize because now she's gonna use part of the
- 29:08Speaker 3: video as fucking content for this ship.
- 29:11Speaker 1: So there's a lot of jiggling happening.
- 29:13Speaker 3: You can't throw this at the ground up and down
- 29:19Speaker 3: and not have some jiggle.
- 29:22Speaker 5: I do have a video of youscotch.
- 29:25Speaker 1: No, I know.
- 29:25Speaker 3: It's why I'm like, I better just say it now,
- 29:28Speaker 3: because get ready, folks.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I mean, what's wrong with jiggling a little bit? We
- 29:36Speaker 2: might reach out and like that.
- 29:39Speaker 5: It was just.
- 29:42Speaker 1: It wasn't.
- 29:47Speaker 3: You know she like busts her knees. You can't, it's
- 29:50Speaker 3: too much weight on like one footage.
- 29:54Speaker 7: Well that's why I do it because my knee was
- 29:56Speaker 7: bothering me.
- 29:58Speaker 5: You yeah, yeah, she made you do it and then
- 30:05Speaker 5: didn't do it herself, right, I understand now, Yes it
- 30:11Speaker 5: was villain.
- 30:14Speaker 2: You didn't defend her, Crystal, Yeah, you didn't trouble her.
- 30:18Speaker 2: So I like, when you do you stick up for
- 30:21Speaker 2: your girl.
- 30:22Speaker 7: She was kind of a bitch in this episode.
- 30:26Speaker 5: She came downrd on Blanche.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Plus she wanted to kill the minx, So there's that.
- 30:32Speaker 2: So she didn't she refused and she wanted to keep them.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, at the end that is correct. But in
- 30:44Speaker 3: the middle she's like, yeah, but farm people like we
- 30:46Speaker 3: kill our animals. It's a cycle of life.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Like that's true.
- 30:50Speaker 7: Is someone who grew up her own farm people? That's yeah, right,
- 30:54Speaker 7: we want to.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Go to the Albertson's to pick up that tasty mink meat.

- 32:49Speaker 5: have been like on spot on. But as it was,
