- 0:20SPEAKER_04: So I just got done with a basketball draft, right?
- 0:24SPEAKER_04: And I was going through it.
- 0:26SPEAKER_04: Let me tell you, I came up with the conclusion that basketball sucks.
- 0:32SPEAKER_04: And not only does it suck, but it's built for people who are bad at fantasy football.
- 0:41SPEAKER_04: And I'm gonna die at that hill that if you're a fan of baseball, that you're bad at fantasy football.
- 0:48SPEAKER_04: But you know what?
- 0:48SPEAKER_04: We'll talk about that at a later moment or now, depending on how everybody's feeling about that take.
- 0:53SPEAKER_04: But I am Matter, and of course, this is fantasy football space.
- 0:57SPEAKER_04: I am alongside Nico.
- 0:59SPEAKER_04: Tip is somewhere around us in the ecosystem.
- 1:02SPEAKER_04: He is caught in a weather storm so bad that he's currently living five minutes in the past.
- 1:07SPEAKER_04: I'm actually gonna give him the lottery numbers later, and hopefully that he's quick enough to win it.
- 1:12SPEAKER_04: But don't worry, we got a replacement, we got an upgrade.
- 1:15SPEAKER_04: Uh, hopefully he doesn't hear me say that.
- 1:17SPEAKER_04: But of course, we got Derek Brown in the system.
- 1:22SPEAKER_04: How are you doing, sir?
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: I'm doing good, boys.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I wish we would have clipped some of that or recorded some of that stuff with Tip because we were talking and then he was getting the the messages from the future.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: It was quite hilarious.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, uh uh shout out to Tip though.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, going through uh the weather as it were, trying to podcast from his freaking car because he's a G like that.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: But yeah, man, here to talk ball, boys.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: It's a good time.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: I'm not I'm not a hundred percent, so y'all gonna have to maybe like drag my old butt across the finish line tonight, but I'm gonna try.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna try.
- 1:52SPEAKER_04: There we go.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: Nika, how you doing out here?
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: I'm good, man.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: I'm you know, it's that next man up mentality we got cooking right now.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: We also have uh Kelly who's feeling uh bit under the weather, she's usually behind the scenes for us, but um, here we are.
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: We got Debro.
- 2:08SPEAKER_03: Um, he's got a lot cooking um over at Fantasy Pros.
- 2:11SPEAKER_03: Uh Debro, you want to tell us a little bit about some of the work that you've been doing?
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: Um, I know you uh just started a new podcast with some Minnesota natives as well.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, man, I'm I'm all places and no places these days.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: No, but seriously, like I'll all work into the content.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Um, all my stuff's over at Fantasy Pros.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: I've got the top 200.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Uh, I'm trying to keep that updated as quickly uh as I possibly can for people still firing drafts over this next week before we get to week one.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: So that all the draft uh kit content items are being updated constantly.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Just trying to keep up with news and injuries and everything like that.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: And plus, yeah, like uh thank y'all for the support, man.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Like y'all talking about uh my brand new show with uh Thor Nystrom, my dude, my friend, one of my best friends in this space, uh called Sweating Sundays.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: We have uh a YouTube show uh podcast everywhere, it's available everywhere that you get your podcasts at.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Really, this thing we'll talk a tiny bit uh of fantasy, but mostly this is just NFL general, and we're talking a crap ton of betting on a weekly basis.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: So I think we're like four or five episodes in.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: So if you want to support the show, please do.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Um, that helps us keep the lights on and keep the show going and stuff.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: But we're gonna be doing two shows a week in season.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: One is gonna be your usual standard, like pre-record and stuff.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: They're gonna be live on YouTube every Tuesday, and we're gonna have a live stream that we're doing with uh all the subs and stuff like that on YouTube every Thursday, and we're gonna build a weekly parlay.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: So y'all can come sweat this.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: The show again is sweating Sundays.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: We're gonna all sweat together college football bets, NFL general bets, and everything in between, boys.
- 3:48SPEAKER_04: There we go.
- 3:49SPEAKER_04: Now, of course, we got a jam-packed show.
- 3:51SPEAKER_04: Hopefully, we are able to cram everything into it.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: Of course, we always got the news and notes, we got the hear me out segment, and of course, you might have gotten a little bit of a taste of that with the earlier best balls for people who are bad at fantasy football part right there.
- 4:05SPEAKER_04: Now, of course, the crystal talk about some best ball stuff here real fast.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Let's do it, let's do it.
- 4:10SPEAKER_03: Because I got opinions about what I got I got some opinions about what you said.
- 4:14SPEAKER_04: You know what's your chest?
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, listen, for someone who's in eight fantasy leagues right now, and you got people still asking you, like, hey, can you do you want to join my league or whatever?
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: It's like, listen, I'll join a best ball league, but my Tuesday night waiver wires are already running thin in roster, season management type stuff.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: And more importantly, it helps you draft in June, July, August.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: It helps you track the ADP, you know, throughout a full summer, kind of helps you realize like, hey, this is normally where players like this are going, stuff like that.
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: Catch some of the highest ADP risers and fallers.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: It gives you good intel into how the draft is changing throughout the summer.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: So I find it really helpful.
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, I probably did like 20, 30 somewhere in their best ball drafts over on underdog or you know, something like that, like DraftKings Fantasy.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: But I like best ball more so because it's a good pre-prep to your actual redraft seasons.
- 5:15SPEAKER_03: So like a mock draft.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: But there's money on the line, better because there's actual money and people aren't just throwing stuff against the wall.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: So I think there's some differences between when you're drafting a managed league versus best ball and things like that.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: My thing about best ball, and and I'll echo some of what Nico said.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: Like, I I really appreciate the the fact that it's actual mock drafts, but it the people have skin in the game, you know, that you're putting actual money down and things like that.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: I think the ADP is sharper than there than it is in any of your home leagues and or host sites and stuff like that.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: You see the ADP correct a bit more uh well faster than your casual redraft sites like ESPN and what have you.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: They it it just it so in that essence, I really like it.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: And also, like from Nico's uh point of view, of like people are asking me, like, I'm doing a few drafts right now, and to that point, it's like, dude, like I can't take on any more leagues, like I just don't have the bandwidth in season to handle.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's it's it's the waivers, but it's also just the lineup management.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm so busy on freaking Sundays answering questions, doing live streams, and what everything in between, I don't have time to go like set lineups for 25 freaking leagues.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: So best ball is great in that aspect.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: What I will zoom out, and I do agree with you on that, is that um the best ball brain and the thought behind best ball, the thing that irks me about all the best ball bros and stuff out there is that they discuss best ball like these all these hard, fast rules, and they have the skeleton key and they could tell you how to win at best ball, like draft two running backs by but by the fifth round or four wide receivers by round eight.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: Can we just cut the shit with all that?
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Like, like just be real about it.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: People that talk about best ball like it is a solved entity, or that you know the skeleton key, all you're doing is working off of what happened last year in a microcosm and pretending like you know exactly how the next season is going to play out when it's all of this random happenstance of injuries, spike weeks, everything in between to where, yeah, you can build solid best ball teams drafting structurally, stacking, look being conscious of bye weeks and all that kind of stuff.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: But what it irks the ever-living crap out of me is a lot of the best ball community talking about like there's all these hard, fast rules.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: And uh, last year was uh or no, excuse me, two years ago was like zero RB was all the thing, and then all the running backs stayed healthy.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: So now this year it's like running back heavy is how you win, and it's like okay, but if all the running backs get hurt, now next year you're gonna say, Oh, it's zero r b is the way to go, and it's like, come on, man, like cut the shit, talk about it in the way that it needs to be talked about.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: There are so much injuries and variants and all kinds of craziness in between.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: You don't have a skeleton key, you can offer people tips and different things that can help them build like more price-sensitive and conscious rosters to help them win.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: But all of these hard, fast rules and discussing it like you know how it's gonna work out, or last year, or whatever, that's a bunch of BS, man.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: It's people being disingenuous, and that's the only thing that ever like drives me up a damn wall about it.
- 8:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think drafting part where I see that's about 33% of fantasy football.
- 8:50SPEAKER_04: The other 66 or 66.666666666 to make it 100.
- 8:55SPEAKER_04: Would is the roster construction starts and sits, waiver wires, uh trades, roster management, cutting, all that stuff.
- 9:04SPEAKER_04: And I think that's where the real skill is.
- 9:06SPEAKER_04: I think honestly, when it comes to drafting, unless you really go for the sleepers, the deep sleepers, or you have specific players that you want and things are gonna go off.
- 9:15SPEAKER_04: If you were to follow, honestly, just an average ADP listing and drafted best player available, you would have a pretty solid roster to the point where you are competitive, which is why I think and where I got to the point where I was like, you know what, maybe this isn't the most skillful thing.
- 9:29SPEAKER_04: I kind of want to spend more effort in redrafts or dynasty type formats.
- 9:33SPEAKER_04: But of course, I also want to remind everybody that we are live on YouTube, X, and of course, Instagram.
- 9:39SPEAKER_04: So, of course, at Fantasy Football Space Podcast.
- 9:43SPEAKER_04: And of course, you want to join in on the conversation, want to type in the comments, ask questions, want to argue with anything that we have to say.
- 9:50SPEAKER_04: Of course, it is always going to be in the comments down below.
- 9:54SPEAKER_04: Want to make sure it is at 9 p.m.
- 9:56SPEAKER_04: Eastern Central Time, and of course, every Wednesday next week, for fun enough, because it is going to be the Seahawks versus the Patriots, is going to be uh interchanging with our schedule.
- 10:10SPEAKER_04: What we are probably going to do is put up a stream on the show, and then we're probably just going to man and cast it out and have fun with it.
- 10:16SPEAKER_04: Because realistically, at that point, drafts happened.
- 10:19SPEAKER_04: You're starting your studs.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: You're you're not questioning whether you're starting Devontae Smith or uh Stefan Diggs.
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: So at that point, there's realistically no point discussing fantasy football or starts and sits.
- 10:31SPEAKER_04: You're starting your studs and you're going with that week one.
- 10:33SPEAKER_04: So, of course, we might as well just have fun with it, go over the game and start discussing what is going to happen further on out.
- 10:39SPEAKER_04: But of course, in today's show, like I said, we're gonna kick it off with news and notes with Nico on the list.
- 10:50SPEAKER_05: NFL headlines, headlines, headlines.
- 10:55SPEAKER_03: All right, guys.
- 10:56SPEAKER_03: Well, let's uh let's dive right into it, man.
- 10:59SPEAKER_03: We got some news and notes from around the NFL, and man, we got a lot to get to.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: I mean, we got injuries, depth charge shakeups, roster moves, week one uncertainty for specific players.
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: And we're officially at the point of the year where you know, one piece of news can completely flip a player's fantasy outlook overnight.
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: So uh let's get into it.
- 11:20SPEAKER_03: First and foremost, our biggest news uh NFL places Packers running back Josh Jacobs on the commissioners exempt list.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: Obviously, that opens a window of opportunity for uh Marshawn Lloyd.
- 11:33SPEAKER_03: Um, additionally, Caleb Johnson, uh former running back of the Pittsburgh Steelers, also signed with the Packers as well.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: Keenan Allen was arrested Sunday morning for a DUI.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: Um, unlikely to be affected this year via Drew Davenport.
- 11:48SPEAKER_03: Uh he was supposedly under 0.8 and not driving the vehicle.
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: Um, guys, Aaron Donald, I don't want to say like he came off the couch, but like he's back and he's with the Rams, and that is wild.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: So we'll see how that plays out.
- 12:06SPEAKER_03: Any initial thoughts on uh Aaron Donald re-signing with the Rams?
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: Did you guys see this coming?
- 12:10SPEAKER_03: I mean, obviously there's been rumors, but um, any quick thoughts around that before we move on?
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think it was a certainty.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: I always kind of thought Aaron Donald was going to come back, like considering the constitution of this team being all in for the Super Bowl and stuff.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: So, you know, my big question around the Rams if they do win it all this year, is there any chance that we see Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford hold hands and just walk off into the sunset after this year?
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: It's possible.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: There's been rumors, but we'll see.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: I don't know, man.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: We'll see.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: We'll see.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Uh Sean Tucker re-signed with the Bucks.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: Malik Neighbors uh not committing to week one.
- 12:49SPEAKER_03: Neighbors says he's feeling real good, uh, but won't confirm he'll play in week one against Dallas.
- 12:55SPEAKER_03: Uh, given his uh fantasy price tag, you know, this is certainly something to monitor closely.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: He's been one of the biggest ADP risers throughout the summer.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: Uh Micah Parsons will miss at least four games, uh, landing on the pup.
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: Um, Will Levis, Jaden Blue, Phil Maffa, all cut.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: Uh, Malik Davis is now inserted as the uh RB2 in Dallas.
- 13:18SPEAKER_03: Uh, so a good handcuff to Javante Williams if you're still out there drafting in the 15th, 16th round.
- 13:25SPEAKER_03: Uh Amari DiMarcado was waived by the Chiefs and picked up by the Cowboys.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: Charbonnet uh starting on the pup.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: Uh big opportunity for Jadarian Price uh to really establish himself early on.
- 13:38SPEAKER_03: Uh Jordan Tyson, Tank Dell, James Conner, Christian Kirk all to start the season on the IR.
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: And another um legal issue and or key first round player right now, Puka uh Nakua was not placed on the NFL Commissioner exempl exempt list.
- 13:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, this is noteworthy because you know, this kind of was the time to do it.
- 14:01SPEAKER_03: You know, we saw it with Jacobs, he's still got some ongoing stuff going on that's being reviewed.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: Um, but right now uh he appears to be, you know, good to go, but it is kind of lingering.
- 14:12SPEAKER_03: So if you are still drafting, keep that in mind.
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: And then lastly, according to Todd Bowles, uh, Emeka Ekbuka is quote unquote hopeful that he is ready for week one with that toe injury, which they haven't come out and said it's turf toe, but I'm telling you guys, it's I don't know what other toe injury.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: I mean, can you hurt your pinky toe, your ring toe?
- 14:37SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm sure you can, but whenever I think of toe, I think of turf toe.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, I'm kind of worried about a Mecca.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm worried about because when teams are so kind of cloak and dagger with this kind of stuff, and especially you're talking about like it's a player like obviously beat running routes and cutting sharply and decelerating and things, it's gonna hurt.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: It's gonna hurt, boys.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: Like, even if they you know go with the whole like metal insert and his cleat and stuff like that, you know, is is he gonna be a hundred percent?
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: When is that gonna happen?
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Like, and were you know, somebody stepping on his foot or landing wrong or whatever from aggravating it again?
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: Like, what does that look like for the whole year?
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Is his effectiveness impacted through the entire season?
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: So I was drafting more of a mecha earlier in the offseason or earlier at the beginning of draft season.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: I've kind of like since really backed off of that.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Um, and taken, I mean, I was high on him since I watched his film for Senior Bowl, but I've taken so many freaking shots late on Ted Hurst, it's ridiculous.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm so overweight on him in redraft.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: Well, uh, I don't know if you have your rankings in front of you, Debro, but where did you move them to?
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: Or did you tweak them up a little bit?
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: Because I personally uh moved uh Teddy Hurst?
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: Uh Mecca.
- 15:50SPEAKER_03: I personally moved him down to my wide receiver 21.
- 15:54unknown: God.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: I've got him right now.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: I didn't move him down only because like a wide receiver, I have my wide receiver 17, which I think is a little bit below consensus.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: But I mean, like to your point though, in that range of drafts, I would much rather take Terry McLaurin, Garrett Wilson, Christian Watson, DJ Moore.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: So you're right, I probably do do need to move him down a little bit.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: So live on the show.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, why not?
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Let's do uh one do it.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: Um, Natter, any thoughts?
- 16:25SPEAKER_03: I obviously though obviously both you guys like that.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: Was a lot of news and notes.
- 16:28SPEAKER_03: Uh, one thing I did miss that is important.
- 16:31SPEAKER_03: Uh Kyle Manungay is week to week, supposedly.
- 16:34SPEAKER_03: So wheels up for DeAndre Swift early on, uh, one of my favorite running backs to target.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, mid to late fourth round.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: Uh, any other thoughts on the news and notes?
- 16:45SPEAKER_03: Obviously, it was a lot of bullet points, a lot of things that our audience needs to know about, you know, if they're still drafting as and and as we enter week one next season.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: Any additional thoughts?
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, I think Puka is probably the biggest thing.
- 16:59SPEAKER_04: The fact that he isn't on the commissioners' exempt list to me is actually kind of crazy considering everything that's going on and the potential accusations or evidence coming out on him.
- 17:10SPEAKER_04: Uh, I it definitely affects redraft.
- 17:13SPEAKER_04: I have two drafts actually tomorrow.
- 17:16SPEAKER_04: And if one of them I'm the fourth pick, if I had the opportunity to take Puka, obviously I'm not doing that anymore.
- 17:23SPEAKER_04: I'm going anywhere else.
- 17:24SPEAKER_04: You're not.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: I'm like I'm still taking him at four.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: Why?
- 17:28SPEAKER_04: I I don't think this is the last to come out of him.
- 17:33SPEAKER_04: I think it's slowly going to be.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: We'll differ on that.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: It will differ on that because I feel like with the with them just kind of spamming the the exempt list on a bunch of players, I feel like this is the NFL telling us we've kind of done our homework on this and it's not a big deal, or whatever's gonna come out, as opposed to Josh Jacobs, and it's like the rumors of a video, and it's like, oh, he got he got Shadow Realm, dude.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: He ain't gonna play this year, like it's probably gonna be bad.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: Like, the way that I feel about it is like if that was the case for Puka, they would have shoved him onto the freaking exempt list, man.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: And then, like, they there was even a tweet, I forget if it was from Rapaport or Schefter, and they were like, No other players are going on the exempt list at this time, and I'm like, okay, so if that was gonna happen, I think we would have seen it.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: So, again, like we're all trying to read the tea leaves.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: The way that I'm reading that is the NFL has a lot more information that we don't, and they're like, Okay, there's either not a video, we can shove this under the rug and and deal with this at another date.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: I I'm I'm still gonna draft Puka.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: Would you draft him at 104 if you were on the clock at 104?
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: Because I would still I would still grab him at 104.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've got him as well receiver one over Chase.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I haven't moved him at all.
- 18:45SPEAKER_04: I think I would rather take the actually, it's not like the safest thing considering they got substations, but McCaffrey, I think I would go for him over Puka.
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: I don't know, like, because just earlier today was it that there was more accusations from his ex-girlfriend.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: Now, of course, they could just be clout chasing at this point, but it feels like they're trickling the truth out at us.
- 19:06SPEAKER_04: Now, this is like the fourth story in the past two weeks of something that uh attacks his character in a way.
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: And uh, I don't know.
- 19:14SPEAKER_04: At some point, all it takes is just one piece of evidence, and you know, going back text messages, video scrolls, camera feeds.
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: I I don't think it'll be the hardest thing, especially when he is known to go head first through glass.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: That's like an interesting well, him him pretending like he's a pigeon is is a totally different conversation.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's a totally different conversation.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: Now, now the man deciding he's gonna bite other individuals and do other stupid crap.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's you know, again, I I think that's different conversation, but again, like this always feels like when the NFL has either one of two things either more information than the public has, or they're worried about the PR spin of whatever they come down and try to make an example out of players, i.e., Josh Jacobs.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: Josh Jacobs, we hadn't even seen the freaking video, but it's gotta be pretty damn bad, like Ray Rice level, unfortunately, probably for them to come out and just be like, nah, you're getting exempted.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: Bye, man.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: We'll see you in 2027 or maybe never again.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: It doesn't matter.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Like, so again, that that's why I feel a little more like comfort driving Puka Nakua.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: Um, but you know, I I do want to to bring up one other thing of unless we have any other thoughts about no go for it.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: I I think we got to talk about Marshawn Lloyd, man, all this Josh Jacob stuff.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Like speaking of the exempt list, like people doing drafts right now.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: I could tell you guys, like, I moved Marshawn Lloyd up to uh RB26, and I'm I'm all in on Marshawn Lloyd.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm willing to take him um as high as let me see.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Where do I have him in in the overall?
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: I want to say it's like sixth round.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Marshawn, where are you at, man?
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, I've got Marshawn as my 68th overall player.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: I got him at RB26.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: I want to stay at consensus or above consensus.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: And if we knew right now, as of recording this and talking ball right now, boys, if I knew Josh Jacobs would not be a thing, like on the field at all, period, I would move Marshawn Lloyd all the way up to be my RB19 right ahead of Jeremiah Love.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's crazy.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: I love Lloyd, I love the talent.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: I don't think there's anybody else on this roster that's going to challenge him for work.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: Caleb Johnson could work his way into us like at least part of being a committee and stuff like that.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: Chris Brooks, I am not worried about because Caleb Johnson still has to learn the offense.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Coming in at the 11th hour, he's got to learn pass pro, the offense, the playbook, all that kind of stuff.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: That takes time.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And that's even if you're talking about the hopeful side for Caleb Johnson.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: I'm all in for Marshawn Lloyd because even if we want to talk about okay, he's not gonna be Josh Jacobs and get 25 carries a game, I don't give a crap.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't want that for Marshawn Lloyd.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: What I want is like 14 carries, three or four catches a game.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: He gets all the red zone work and all the passing work, and we're talking about like a top 15 running back.
- 22:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you know, coincidentally, Sir Kyle, unfortunately, the comment does cover does cover a little bit of D bro, but he asks, Where are you guys on Marshawn Lloyd?
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: I feel like his ADP is wild.
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: Are you guys in the camp of him being in the same range of Tutan and Price?
- 22:22SPEAKER_04: I just don't see Lloyd being a three-down back.
- 22:25SPEAKER_04: Do you?
- 22:25SPEAKER_04: And I mean, I feel like Debro, he sat there and just kind of nailed that question on the head.
- 22:30SPEAKER_04: And I feel like they are around his range.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: Uh Jeremiah Love is a running back I'm taking, not because I want to, it's just I need a running back, and he's the only one available at this point.
- 22:40SPEAKER_04: Uh, but and then again, I would still probably start looking like Debro said at Marshawn Lloyd specifically before him.
- 22:46SPEAKER_04: Nico, how about you?
- 22:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, I uh I took the time to update my rankings um yesterday and a little bit today, and I landed on RB29, uh, so a little bit lower um than Debro, obviously.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: I kind of have him behind distance, you know, spit in distance.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: I one one thing that you did mention though is like I have price at 25.
- 23:09SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm not team Jadarian Price transparently, but 25.
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: I do have him, you know, one slot um ahead of Judkins, so that should give you some context there.
- 23:19SPEAKER_03: But I still have him pretty clearly behind like the Monty, the Swift, Scataboo, Bucky, Tutin range is kind of where I landed on Lloyd.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm a little bit higher than most, I feel like, in the market, uh JK on J.K.
- 23:33SPEAKER_03: Dobbins.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: Um, obviously there's massive injury risk there, but you know, in past shows I've talked a lot about J.K.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: Dobbins.
- 23:40SPEAKER_03: And then Trevian Henderson and Tony Pollard were the last two guys.
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: I I didn't feel good about sticking them in front of Marshawn Lloyd.
- 23:50SPEAKER_03: But given the fact that it's still up in the air as to if he's going to take the full reign, kind of had me thinking, like, well, I'd probably rather take Henderson for the upside, which I'm kind of low on Henderson, honestly, and then Tony Pollard, who it's a disgusting pick.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: It sucks.
- 24:09SPEAKER_03: But like he's projected to get a lot of the volume that you want, and then I have him ahead of Rico Dowdle and Blake Corum and Jonathan Brooks.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: So that should give kind of some context as to where Lloyd landed for me.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: I I was really high on Lloyd as a prospect, I will own that.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: Like in my in that class with Jonathan Brooks, Lloyd was my RB1 of the class.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: And just to give context about his talent, and I know it's been a long time since he was a prospect, but when he came out his final two years of college, he was 20th and 16th in yards of the contact per attempt, top 20 in breakaway percentage in both years, top 15 in elusive rating.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: So the dude is electric.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: So I look at Marshawn Lloyd like you're investing in an offense that we think is going to be good, it's going to score a lot of points.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: And I mean, we've seen Josh Jacobs.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: I'm not going to say he's been mid, but he's not been explosive or like he's been a volume bet that scores a crap ton of touchdowns, and that's been an RB1 in fantasy.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: So even if we want to nerf that production, I don't look at Marshawn Lloyd as much different of a bet as like somebody like a Chase Brown, to where you know Samaj P.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: Ryan's going to play about 30 to 35% of the snaps.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: That's fine.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: We're all still comfortable taking him as an RB1.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Okay, Chris Brooks or Caleb Johnson could eat into that same kind of workload, but as long as Lloyd is getting the lion's share of the freaking touches, is getting the passing work in the red zone work.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, that's a high upside pick, man, that you're able to get.
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: Like, I think right now, and and again, going back to like draft strategies and stuff, the fact that we have the two pockets of value in the sense of like you have Tootin, Jadarian Price, and we're all kind of like, what do we do with these guys?
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Same thing with Bucky Irving and stuff, but like the the ability and the upside to take over their backfields where they're going.
- 25:58SPEAKER_01: Tell me that Jonathan Brooks and Marshawn Lloyd, considering at this part of the draft where they're going, that they also don't uh they open up the door for people to draft more zero RB teams right now because they're going in the sixth and seventh round.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: Like you can get you could just load up on wide receivers and get yourself a premium tight end, draft your Bowers, draft your Loveland, and then take Brooks and Lloyd and a bunch of handcuffs late, and you got a really sexy-looking freaking zero RB team.
- 26:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean, that is true, but right now I think if you are in a league with I would say competitive players, and it's the end of the fourth round, Marshawn Lloyd would probably be gone by then.
- 26:40SPEAKER_04: You think he's gonna go in the fourth?
- 26:42SPEAKER_04: End of fourth, early fifth.
- 26:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you're with competent, competitive players who are of course following the news, going death chart scouting, I think he won't go past the fifth round because uh I don't know if that's still technically zero.
- 26:57SPEAKER_04: I don't disagree with a fifth and I don't know if that's technically still zero RB if he's your RB1, but I mean, like you said, if you go for uh hypothetically speaking, Puka, and then round after that you go uh Drake London, even though I hate Drake London this year.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: Uh but say you say you go AJ Brown, you start Puka and AJ Brown, Brown, and then the third round you go Josh Allen.
- 27:18SPEAKER_04: Say maybe he falls a little bit, you get Josh Allen.
- 27:21SPEAKER_04: Fourth round, you go Devontae Smith, maybe.
- 27:23SPEAKER_03: And then you ain't getting Devontae.
- 27:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're probably not getting Devontae Smith.
- 27:26SPEAKER_03: Not if I'm in that league.
- 27:29SPEAKER_04: Luckily, I won't invite you in that league.
- 27:31SPEAKER_04: And then at the fifth round or come around return again, you go for Marshawn Lloyd.
- 27:34SPEAKER_04: Or say say you don't even get Devontae Smith in the fourth round, you just go straight for Marshawn Lloyd.
- 27:38SPEAKER_04: Uh Caleb Johnson couldn't squeak out a role in Pittsburgh.
- 27:42SPEAKER_04: Pittsburgh had virtually no competition for running back carries, in my opinion.
- 27:47SPEAKER_04: And the fact that it took it you needed to be mediocre to get touches on that roster, and he couldn't do that.
- 27:53SPEAKER_04: And you're telling me him on Green Bay is gonna go there and start squeaking out carries, not gonna happen.
- 27:58SPEAKER_04: I I see him maybe a mid-season cut or just a really uh bad backup plan that the Packers had to just really quickly shuffle towards to get a quick uh band-aid fix.
- 28:11SPEAKER_04: Um, but that's toughly tough.
- 28:13SPEAKER_04: That's a tough convincing on my part to think that he's gonna stay and fall uh in that end, especially in the two drafts that I'm gonna be in tomorrow.
- 28:20SPEAKER_04: I know they're they're pretty competitive, so I'm already trying to theory craft how I want to build my lineup to try to scoop them up, thinking that I might have the edge on them.
- 28:29SPEAKER_04: But realistically, I probably don't.
- 28:31SPEAKER_04: But of course, I also want to remind everybody to smash the subscribe button, like the video, and of course, comment down below if of course you want to join in on the conversation.
- 28:40SPEAKER_04: Now, of course, at FF Space Pod on X, in order to stay connected on any updates or anything that we have going on, but of course, we got to move on to the hear me out section because I mean each person has like a fantasy football take that we need to lend their ears on because of course, you know, we don't judge, we listen.
- 29:02SPEAKER_04: And uh Nico, how do you feel about that?
- 29:07SPEAKER_04: You guys really want to listen to me?
- 29:09SPEAKER_04: Kind of.
- 29:10SPEAKER_04: I do all right.
- 29:11SPEAKER_04: Well, if somebody pulls something off the stove really fast with the timer going off, dude, Natter clock out time, and I keep forgetting to turn it off.
- 29:19SPEAKER_03: Dude, this guy, this cat's had that timer on at the halfway mark of our show for 14 straight weeks now.
- 29:26SPEAKER_03: So that's when I know that we've hit the halfway mark, is when I hit when I hear that uh ringer going off.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Hey, Natter, go get the chicken nuggets out of the oven, bro.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: They think they're done.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: It's all good.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: Tendies actually, tendies, get it right, tendies.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: That sounds fire, actually.
- 29:42SPEAKER_03: Um, but anyways, uh yeah, I mean, hear me out on this one.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: And you don't win your fantasy leagues with your drafts.
- 29:53SPEAKER_03: I understand it's the most exciting time of the year for fantasy managers because you get together with your guys, you spend all summer prepping for drafts, doing best ball, you know, doing mock drafts, all that kind of stuff.
- 30:06SPEAKER_03: And yes, it's super fun.
- 30:08SPEAKER_03: And Natter actually pointed it out earlier in the show, uh, inadvertently, I believe, mentioning I think that like 30 to 35 percent of your draft is you know based on or sorry, of your success is based on your draft.
- 30:22SPEAKER_03: I would say it's probably closer to, I would say like 50 to 60 percent.
- 30:28SPEAKER_03: But when you draft, you just when you draft well, you put yourself in a position to win in season management, finishes the job and brings home championships.
- 30:40SPEAKER_03: Like obviously, a bad draft can put you in the hole, and hitting on league-winning players like JSN and Javante Williams last year, it does give you a huge advantage.
- 30:49SPEAKER_03: But when you look at a 14-week regular season, when you toss in competitive waiver wire ads, trades, lineup decisions, injury management, and reacting faster than your league mates, that's what separates the good teams from the great teams.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: So obviously, with the season starting up here uh next week, next Wednesday, uh, we'll be here with you guys and gals, you know, talking through those situations and how to best do that.
- 31:19SPEAKER_03: Um, but I just want to let the audience know, hear me out on that one because it's something that I believe in strongly.
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: You know, it any competitive league is gonna have a ton of people in season that are gonna be super competitive.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I don't disagree with you, really, Nico.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: Like I think like looking at how people I think one of the most underrated parts, like everybody talks about waiver wire ads and stuff like that, but trying to be ahead of the curve of when we get small inklings of a usage change or a player maybe breaking out to where it's like maybe they don't fully break out in say week seven, and it's not like really to week eight or week nine, but you start kind of getting like, okay, is the worm turning in the backfield?
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: Is this other guy getting elevated up the depth chart?
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: Is he going to be maybe like you want to be ahead of the curve with that?
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: And I feel like that's one of the biggest parts about waivers.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: It's like when a player shows you something or the team is trying to tell you something, kind of like last year with, and I'll bring up a player I'm gonna discuss here later, but like Christian Watson, when he came back from injury and the and immediately he was getting all of this high-leverage usage, and they were like, I mean, there were multiple weeks in a row where he was their clear wide receiver, one in target share and first read share and on fantasy pros for like three or four weeks in a row.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm screaming at people on a Monday.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: Pick him up.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: Why is he still under 50% rostered in leagues?
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: Like, what the hell are we doing?
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: That kind of stuff is how you pick up those league changing and season changing type of players, is not being afraid to uh jettison the handcuff or the roster clogger or your second defense or whatever the hell is at the bottom of your bench.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: Like, be willing to take the shot on guys where it's like a Ted Hurst or somebody else that comes out of the woodwork, and you're like, okay, maybe this guy could be a player that like defines the rest of my season if he hits.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: If not, okay, fine.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: But if he does, that's how you win.
- 33:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, one example for me actually that came to mind as you were talking about that was uh Rico Doddle.
- 33:34SPEAKER_03: And it's like it's one of those things where it's like, you know, try to be a week ahead of the curve where you get him for a dollar or two dollars because you're starting to notice some of those little trends.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: The trend that I had noticed last year was this red zone usage, like in weeks like three through six or before Chuba eventually ended up getting hurt, where now Rico Doddle is probably going for 25 to 35 percent of your fab.
- 33:59SPEAKER_03: You know, so Debro brings up a really good point, kind of piggybacking off of what I mentioned of you know, when you see the snap share increases, when you see the tides turning a little bit with specific players, be ahead of the curve, go get them when they're a dollar or two compared to 20 to 30 percent of your fab.
- 34:18SPEAKER_04: Or you don't have to pay attention to that, and you could just, of course, subscribe to us and follow us on socials that way we could just tell you when it happens, and then you could be ahead of the curve that way.
- 34:29SPEAKER_04: I'm lazy, uh usually I don't want to do it myself.
- 34:33SPEAKER_04: I'll listen to other people and then I'll do it then.
- 34:36SPEAKER_04: But of course, you know, I have to call myself an analyst at times, so at that point coming from the guy that hates best ball.
- 34:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean that's yeah, that's true, and that's a good reason why.
- 34:44SPEAKER_04: Like you almost proved my point.
- 34:46SPEAKER_04: Best ball, you don't need to do these type of trends.
- 34:48SPEAKER_04: Um, but uh you know, I'm actually gonna do tips tip.
- 34:52SPEAKER_04: Uh god, that sounded a little weird.
- 34:53SPEAKER_04: Um phrasing, pause, pause.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: Um that was a very PCA quote from you.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: Uh yes, yes.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, if anybody's looking at the R.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, if anybody's in the PCA.
- 35:12SPEAKER_04: The GOAT.
- 35:12SPEAKER_04: He is the quote unquote goat.
- 35:15SPEAKER_04: Um, but anytime you're doing a trade in fantasy football that doesn't fully benefit you, you're not trading properly.
- 35:22SPEAKER_04: Now, I I'm stealing this from Tip because I don't fully personally agree with it, because I think one trading is um I don't want to say childish and stupid, but it's almost childish and stupid because two players are actively trying to screw the other person over.
- 35:38SPEAKER_04: Like it's very rare for there to be, in my opinion, like a trade where I feel like it's almost equal or better value for each person where they both leave uh I guess benefit, like they they gain something from the from the trade.
- 35:54SPEAKER_04: And I I'm just not a big fan of trading.
- 35:58SPEAKER_04: I never advocate for it specifically because like why don't you like best ball?
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't want to, I don't want to interrupt you, but like no, you're good, you're gonna it's not the case for best ball, Dadder.
- 36:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but like there's the starts and sits, the bye week navigation, the waiver wire, the the matchups going against players, the the this trash talking of oh, why don't you start that player?
- 36:21SPEAKER_04: You're you're terrible, you're an idiot.
- 36:23SPEAKER_04: Why would you do that?
- 36:24SPEAKER_04: Overthinking your roster.
- 36:26SPEAKER_04: There's always different mind games that you could play with somebody playing keep away on the waiver wire.
- 36:30SPEAKER_04: There's different like games within games, and because there's different values to players, right?
- 36:35SPEAKER_04: A equal running back is not the same as equal value to a wide receiver.
- 36:39SPEAKER_04: So I almost think it's never worth it to trade a wide receiver for a running back if you're the one gaining the wide receiver.
- 36:45SPEAKER_04: I feel like it doesn't really matter who it is, you probably lost that trade when it comes down to it.
- 36:50SPEAKER_04: And that's why like you should always uh see if you could try to figure out how to make your team better.
- 36:55SPEAKER_04: And if you're giving up two uh maybe above average players to get a superstar, then you come out on top because you open up a roster spot that you could fill up with a handcuff and sort of sort and those type of sorts.
- 37:07SPEAKER_04: But I feel like if you're playing in an ultra competitive league, then you're never really going to be opted the opportunity to make those type of trades, which is why sometimes I sit there and say, you know what?
- 37:16SPEAKER_04: Like, why risk making your team weaker?
- 37:20SPEAKER_04: Just like keep the above average team that you already have.
- 37:23SPEAKER_03: Nico.
- 37:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm not making any trades to make my team worse, so I don't it is what it is.
- 37:31SPEAKER_03: What I will tell you though is I really want to hear Debro out on his because I drafted this guy in a double flex as my wide receiver for I like him, but I still have hesitation, so I need to be reminded as to why I like him and I need to hear him out.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm gonna give you a love letter uh about a certain player here in a second.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: Um, Natter, real fast, dude.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Trades, you gotta risk it for the biscuit, man.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: Like play is scared, you gotta make the trade.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: If you want to make your team better, I mean you want first place or do you want fourth?
- 38:08SPEAKER_01: Above average, ain't gonna get it done.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: You gotta go, you gotta risk it for the biscuit.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: That's all right, all right.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: But speaking of risk, it I know that there is risk surrounding this player, but I'm telling people they 10 toes down.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Quentin Johnston is the clear wide receiver one for the Los Angeles Chargers.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: And guess what?
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: I'm saying this for this year because he was last year, boys.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: People are losing the context here.
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: They talk about Ladd McConkey, they talk about Keenan Allen when he came in and stuff like that, but they're absolutely missing the context about Quentin Johnston.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: So let's let's unwrap this real fast.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: Weeks one through four, QJ was healthy, had a hamstring injury in week five, missed week six.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: When he came back and played week seven, week eight, he was not a part of the offense at all.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: He got a 9% target share in week seven, he got zero targets, poof, goose egg in week eight.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: And that tells me more than anything of any injury report that the Chargers concoct because all the teams lie about injuries, and this isn't me putting on my freaking tinfoil hat.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: If anybody's watched any Netflix series and you've seen Amon Ross Brown get hand-foot-mouth, snap a rib, never end up on the freaking injury report, Baker Mayfield wearing a damn sleeve on one of his arms that's so freaking bruised.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: And oh my gosh, none of us know because we see practice pictures and he's got the sleeve on, so you can't even see it.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: There's so many injuries that happen throughout the season, and so many different severities of injuries and things we don't hear about during the season or until after the season is over, or maybe ever.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: That you have to look at the usage and look at the context of this guy was a massive part of the offense.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, he comes back from a hamstring injury, and now he's just poof, not even part of the offense, he's just out there running wind sprints.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: That tells me about a player's health more than some crappy injury report or a coach giving us a damn quote to a microphone because he has to.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: So back to Quentin Johnston, though.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: Week one through four, he was healthy, five.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: He was out, missed week six, week seven and eight, he was a ghost.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: So in the weeks we are projecting, he was healthy, weeks one through four, nine through eighteen, Quentin Johnston had a 20.3 target share, and I'm gonna rattle these off real fast, boys.
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: 1.83 yards per route run, 12 reds on target, 17 deep targets.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: He forced a missed tackle on 27% of his opportunities, which by the way is elite, and had a 24.8% first read share.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: The reason I go through all of these six stat categories is because in those games, week one through four and nine through eighteen, he led the damn team in every single one of those categories.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: Every one, while also averaging 13.9 PPR points per game, which just for context, if he'd had done that for the entirety of the season, that would have made him the wide receiver 16 in fantasy points per game, which just so happens to be about the ADP where people are drafting Ladd McConkey.
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: So if you want to draft a pseudo wide receiver one of the Chargers, go ahead.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: I won't stop you.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: Lose your league.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: If you want to draft the real wide receiver one for the Chargers, get Quentin Johnston a few rounds later.
- 41:26SPEAKER_04: Don't be disrespecting my boy White Chocolate.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: Hey man, that chocolate gotta tell you.
- 41:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, proofs in the pudding or the chocolate, should I say?
- 41:37SPEAKER_04: White pudding chocolate.
- 41:39SPEAKER_04: Uh that's funny, but of course, you know, I'm not gonna disagree.
- 41:42SPEAKER_04: I always like the big threat type of potential, and when you have a quarterback that's dishing it 50 yards down the field, I'm all in for it, especially somebody that has the new offensive coordinator of uh uh I can't even remember his name at this point.
- 41:56SPEAKER_04: I'm terrible.
- 41:57SPEAKER_04: Wow, Mike McDonald.
- 41:58SPEAKER_04: There we go.
- 41:59SPEAKER_04: I was gonna say Mike McDonald.
- 42:00SPEAKER_04: I'm glad you stay hot, kid.
- 42:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah, thank you, thank you.
- 42:02SPEAKER_04: But of course, we're gonna have to move on to the crystal football.
- 42:06SPEAKER_04: We're we're we're pulling out the crystal ball, and we're gonna, of course, predict the winners of every single category, whether it's the comeback player of the year, NFL MVP, representation of the Super Bowl, and whoever is going to win it, if I said that properly.
- 42:21SPEAKER_04: But first, we got our third host back.
- 42:24SPEAKER_04: Apparently, the Snorm finished.
- 42:27SPEAKER_04: I don't even know what's going on in Texas.
- 42:29SPEAKER_04: That's like why you don't live there.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: But of course, what is a snorm?
- 42:32SPEAKER_04: First of all, I don't even know.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: Please illuminate that.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: We I got hit with a storm about 6 30 in the afternoon or evening here.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: And um, but I'm here.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: So so you know, the lights came back on.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: I'm here.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: I I I've been what listening to what you guys are saying, and um, I'm ready.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: I'm ready to talk some crystal football.
- 42:57SPEAKER_03: This is like uh in the hangover when uh Zach Alvinakis or whatever is in the background saying the boys are back.
- 43:06SPEAKER_04: Boys, welcome back, chip.
- 43:08SPEAKER_04: Good to have you, man.
- 43:09SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 43:10SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 43:10SPEAKER_04: Actually, there's three men and one boy here.
- 43:12SPEAKER_04: I'll let you guys figure out who's who, though.
- 43:14SPEAKER_04: Uh, so of course, starting off with the comeback player of the year, the comeback player of the year.
- 43:23SPEAKER_04: Now, of course, I feel like Joe Burrow should be disqualified.
- 43:26SPEAKER_04: I feel like he's won it too many times now.
- 43:28SPEAKER_04: Oh, this guy, like, honestly, like he's gonna win it for a third time.
- 43:32SPEAKER_04: I feel like at this point, like really, I feel like give it to Christian McCaffrey while you're at it, too.
- 43:37SPEAKER_04: He he's came back for three or four times for it.
- 43:40SPEAKER_04: But of course, Nico, who is your comeback player of the year?
- 43:44SPEAKER_03: I got a guy, he's a little guy, but he is a guy.
- 43:48SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm gonna go with Kyler Murray, man, and I promise y'all, this is not a homer pick, it's more so because I have been around the Vikings long enough, 33 years, to know that.
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: That he's going to have a Sam Darnold like season, and the Vikings will inevitably fall short, but he will look really good in the process.
- 44:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, but on a real note here, you know, I believe in the offense, the changes we're implementing.
- 44:15SPEAKER_03: Uh, we've been installing a wide zone running scheme.
- 44:18SPEAKER_03: I believe Kyler is going to play with a bit of a chip on his shoulder this year, um, during a contract year.
- 44:24SPEAKER_03: And Kyler has finished as a QB1, so top 12 QB in every single season on a fantasy points per game basis.
- 44:33SPEAKER_03: In every season, he's played 11 or more games.
- 44:37SPEAKER_03: Sure, health is an issue.
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: I get it.
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: He's played in 11 or less games in four of those seven seasons.
- 44:44SPEAKER_03: But for anyone that has tuned into our show over the last 14 weeks, I don't play and analyze based on potential injuries.
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: And not only is he an absolute smash steal at ADP in fantasy, but I believe he will be the comeback player of the year.
- 45:00SPEAKER_03: He will have north of 4,500 all-purpose yards and 30 plus TDs and lock in that award, get my Vikings to a playoff game, and then lose.
- 45:11SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
- 45:12SPEAKER_04: Um, well, luckily or unfortunately, depends on whatever coin you're on.
- 45:16SPEAKER_04: Call of Duty comes out early this year on October 23rd.
- 45:21SPEAKER_04: So, you know, he might be cooked on that aspect.
- 45:23SPEAKER_04: He's gonna be a little busy now or something else rather than worry about game film and uh playing football.
- 45:30SPEAKER_04: He might be playing uh Call of Duty, so uh you know, a completely unrelated, stupid story of the day for you guys.
- 45:36SPEAKER_04: I you know, you know, I have a lot of those.
- 45:38SPEAKER_04: Um, there used to be a uh segment on a on a show that I did where we would track Jimmy Garoppolo's kill death ratio in Call of Duty because he was actually really good at the game, surprisingly.
- 45:50SPEAKER_04: He had like a you know, for the Call of Duty nerds out there, he had like an over 2.0 KD ratio.
- 45:55SPEAKER_04: Oh, so he was like a goon at COD, and he was better than Kyler Murray at it.
- 46:01SPEAKER_04: Uh and you know, at the weekly show, we would go after the changes and kind of uh you know monitor how good or how worse he's gotten over the past month.
- 46:10SPEAKER_04: Um, that is the stupid story of the day.
- 46:12SPEAKER_04: But of course, Tip, since you're back, I'll let you go.
- 46:15SPEAKER_04: Who is your comeback player of the year?
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: No, you you over there tried to ruin my my player, my pick, Joe Burrow, and you guys are gonna see a trend uh with Joe Burrow.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: And I I think maybe from some of the other men, boys.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: What did you say earlier?
- 46:29SPEAKER_04: I don't know three men, one boy.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: But um one tonight, so so Joe Burrow.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, Debro, Debro will do that.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: Debro will bring out the the the the cool stuff from Natter.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: So that that'll that'll happen when you had a show like this.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: But Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow.
- 46:45SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna talk about him, I'm gonna continue to talk about him.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: I think he has an excellent opportunity to be comeback player of the year.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: Um look, it's all predicated on health, right?
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: So the health is the biggest thing with him, and it's not just him, it's health with his offensive weapons, it's health with the offensive line as well.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: It's health with hey, the defense.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: You got you got to make sure that the defense is uh gonna give up points like they've been doing the last few seasons.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: Although I do like Al Golden, I think that he here too, I like a lot of the pieces that they have on defense to give them some more opportunities um to get the ball and get Joe Joe Burrow the ball and let him just rip the ball to these wide receivers.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: That I think look, if if we have a situation where um Jamar Chase and T.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: Higgins can finish in the top 10, look out, people.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Look out because that that hasn't happened, and you better look out for Joe Burrow.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: But I'm gonna go ahead and let Debro go with his next one because um it's it's it's interesting.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: Well, I was gonna ask the question to to Nico before I launch into mine.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: What is Kyler Murray actually coming back from?
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Like playing like crap and the Cardinals benching him?
- 47:56SPEAKER_02: Like, what is what is he like some of these playing five games, bro?
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know, but he could have come back probably, and they were just like, nah, we're good, we're even better rested, better rested.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: But some of these comeback players, it's like, okay, injury, injury, injury.
- 48:12SPEAKER_01: What's Kyler coming back from?
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: Uh not being able to get away.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: He'll qualify, he'll qualify, and that's all I know.
- 48:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so uh the guy that I'm picking for comeback player of the year, and this kind of goes to uh a lot of times the player that takes this award home, it's not just the production, it's on the sexy team that wins a crap ton of games or goes to the Super Bowl and things like that.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: I think that outliers stay outliers, elite players buck the trend.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: We see this how many different times, guys, where players just take father time and they kick him straight in the nads and they're like, all right, I'm 34 years old, I'm Derrick Henry, it don't freaking matter.
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: I'm still gonna run people over.
- 48:53SPEAKER_01: And that's why I'm gonna go with Aaron Donald.
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: I think if he is fully back and he is part of one of the best defensive lines in the NFL, that's also gonna create opportunities.
- 49:03SPEAKER_01: And and I'm not saying he's gonna be a hundred percent snap player, but if he's a 70% snap player, if he's still freaking Aaron Donald on that defensive line where he's not gonna draw like all the double teams, because if you're double teaming Aaron Donald, everybody else is gonna eat you alive.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: So if that's the case and Aaron Donald comes back and the Rams go to the Super Bowl and they win the damn thing, tell me how Aaron Donald doesn't win freaking comeback player of the year.
- 49:34SPEAKER_04: It'd be a tough case to make, but real quick, we have two questions in the chat.
- 49:38SPEAKER_04: What happened?
- 49:39SPEAKER_04: Sorry.
- 49:40SPEAKER_02: I said, would it be for Aaron Donald?
- 49:41SPEAKER_02: Would it be no as in like it was it?
- 49:43SPEAKER_04: It'd be tough to like disagree with it, as in.
- 49:45SPEAKER_04: Oh, okay.
- 49:46SPEAKER_04: I was like, maybe be more specific.
- 49:47SPEAKER_04: Refray, I got a problem with phrasing, so you know we we figured that out early on.
- 49:51SPEAKER_04: Words are hard for him.
- 49:52SPEAKER_00: My thing, my thing is with the pride that he plays with, and you know, and this is pride in a good way.
- 49:58SPEAKER_00: He wouldn't have come back if he didn't feel like oh, I know you know, yeah, he wouldn't have just he no.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: This dude is ready, he's he's locked in loaded.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: Now he may need to get into some game shape, and that's where I agree with Debro.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: He's not gonna have a full complement of snaps, at least right away.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: But yeah, comeback player of the year, you could easily put slide him in there.
- 50:17SPEAKER_01: It it's side a d conversation.
- 50:20SPEAKER_01: Has anybody seen the Matthew Stafford interview when they talk about like the make-a-wish kid being at the Rams practice facility?
- 50:26SPEAKER_01: If everybody in the chat or in or anybody here, men and boys or boy, um, have not seen this already, go just go go look it up on YouTube.
- 50:36SPEAKER_01: It is freaking hilarious.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: Like, they had a make a wish kid come to um the Rams practice, he was past cancer, beat it, all that kind of stuff, and he was like, his wish was he wanted to go work out with ad.
- 50:47SPEAKER_01: And Stafford's like, oh man, I don't think that boy realized what he was asking for.
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: And so, like, this kid is over there working out with AD, and AD is like into like his like 75th, like uh curls or something, and Stafford looks over, and the poor make a wish kid is puking in a trash can in the cover.
- 51:07SPEAKER_01: And AD is ripping curls, and he's like, Want to be like AD?
- 51:11SPEAKER_01: You gotta work out like AD.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: Okay, it is wild.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: So, anybody you want a good sound bite?
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: Go watch the video, it's freaking weird.
- 51:21SPEAKER_04: Heck yeah, how nice of the Rams to make a wish for tip.
- 51:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they brought him onto the practice bar.
- 51:27SPEAKER_04: That's crazy.
- 51:28SPEAKER_04: So, of course, we got a question, we got a couple questions in the chat that we gotta go over because we kind of discussed it a little bit, so it only makes sense.
- 51:35SPEAKER_04: So, Johnny Jersey 456 says, Hey y'all, uh, actually, got the fourth pick in a 10-team draft.
- 51:44SPEAKER_04: Draft Puka, JS, Jonathan Taylor, Amon Ra, or CMC.
- 51:50SPEAKER_04: We're gonna go all the way in a circle, or in this case, a square.
- 51:53SPEAKER_04: We'll start with Debreath.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: Uh, this is between Puka and CMC for me.
- 51:58SPEAKER_01: And I understand the risk that both of them carry, but I think Puka could end up with a legendary season.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: And I think CMC is a binary decision.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: I've said this the entirety of the offseason.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: He gets hurt, you're screwed, or he stays healthy and he's healthy and he's a top two running back.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: So this all just comes to like I understand the risk of both of them, but in a 10-teamer, everybody's running out all-star lineups.
- 52:21SPEAKER_01: You need somebody that's going to flip the league for you, and that's CMC or Puka for me.
- 52:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you take injury risk out of the equation, and you know, CMC played those 14 games of the regular season for fantasy, he's arguably RB1.
- 52:34SPEAKER_04: It's just the fact that he might get injured because that substation, the substation does work, man.
- 52:39SPEAKER_04: It's undefeated right now, and uh, that's the only reason why you shouldn't probably look at him, but he is the correct answer, tip.
- 52:46SPEAKER_04: What do you think?
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: Um, for me, it's gonna be between Puka and Amanra.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: It's just for me because Amonra is just Eddie Eddie.
- 52:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know what you're gonna get.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: Same thing with Puka, really.
- 52:58SPEAKER_00: It's just, I mean, yeah, you got the the the suspension possibly, but I I think he's gonna be okay.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: Um, so I'm gonna I'm gonna go with Amonra.
- 53:07SPEAKER_00: I just like the schedule a little bit more.
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, you got another dynamic running back in in Jameer Gibbs, who they say is gonna they're gonna feed him until he drops.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: So uh, and I think he's ready for that workload, but I still just like Amon Ross St.
- 53:21SPEAKER_00: Brown um just a little bit more, just because I think he's gonna get a little bit more uh touches, especially in the red zone, because we know when they get to the red zone, Puka's got the size, he's got the skill to get the ball, but sometimes they favor Devontae Adams a little bit more.
- 53:35SPEAKER_00: And I think this year, my guy, Terrence Ferguson, man.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: I I think he's really gonna be a nuisance uh in this offense to one of those guys.
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's gonna be Devontae Adams or if it's gonna be Puka, but he's gonna become a nuisance to one of those, and I think that'll happen.
- 53:50SPEAKER_00: Um, and then you know, the Sam Laporta thing with him still being banged up, I know he's practicing, but I really like Amon Ross St.
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: Brown, so I'm going to Manra.
- 53:59SPEAKER_04: Nico, what do you think?
- 54:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's Puka for me, and I'm not thinking twice about it, uh, especially in the 10-man league.
- 54:06SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, you can play the upside a little bit more, you know, it's not a deep 14 teamer.
- 54:10SPEAKER_03: Um, you don't have to play it a little safer.
- 54:13SPEAKER_03: Uh, you can take the chance on that higher risk.
- 54:15SPEAKER_03: And you know, we talked about Puka earlier in the show.
- 54:18SPEAKER_03: You know, ultimately, I think he's he's gonna be you know fine, maybe at most a couple games, but I don't know.
- 54:24SPEAKER_03: I'm going Puka here.
- 54:25SPEAKER_03: I'm playing the upside, especially in a 10-team league.
- 54:27SPEAKER_01: So long as everybody opens the glass doors for him.
- 54:30SPEAKER_04: Jeez, yeah, just yeah, just be careful for glass doors.
- 54:33SPEAKER_04: So it really looks like Puka is going to be the consensus.
- 54:36SPEAKER_04: Uh, CMC would be second best on the list.
- 54:39SPEAKER_04: It looks like JSN and Jonathan Taylor aren't even in consideration.
- 54:42SPEAKER_04: Amon Raw would be the third one on that one.
- 54:45SPEAKER_04: So we also have a second question.
- 54:47SPEAKER_04: Let's knock this one out and then we'll go into our suit our MVPs and Super Bowl winners.
- 54:51SPEAKER_04: Uh G Medina 3717 says, Hello, fellas.
- 54:56SPEAKER_04: Uh, question full PPR.
- 54:58SPEAKER_04: I have Alec Pierce as my wide receiver five.
- 55:01SPEAKER_04: Uh bench.
- 55:02SPEAKER_04: Thanks for clarifying.
- 55:03SPEAKER_04: Was wondering if I should have picked up any of these names instead who are on the waivers, Reed, Downs, Coker, Diggs, Concepcion.
- 55:14SPEAKER_04: Uh, same circle, or in this case, square.
- 55:16SPEAKER_04: Debro, what do you think?
- 55:18SPEAKER_01: You drop Alec Pierce for digs immediately or Casey Concepcion.
- 55:23SPEAKER_01: Take your take your pick.
- 55:24SPEAKER_01: I don't I Alec Pierce is off my board this year.
- 55:27SPEAKER_01: I want nothing to do with him.
- 55:28SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 55:29SPEAKER_01: Tip.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, so he's his fifth receiver.
- 55:33SPEAKER_00: So I would want to see.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: Does he have a sixth receiver or something?
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: But I I I want to kind of keep Alec Pierce on my on my team.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: But if I'm looking at one of these guys, um, I'm not gonna touch downs.
- 55:44SPEAKER_00: Reed, man.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna do some things, especially with the running back situation uh over there.
- 55:49SPEAKER_00: But I like Concepcion.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: I think that he could have been immediately like just come in, him and Denzel Boston.
- 55:56SPEAKER_00: I know who's throwing the ball, I'm not worried about that.
- 55:58SPEAKER_00: Um, but I I think that yeah, Concepcion is gonna be the one that I would consider, but man, if he's your fifth, then I would also take a look at your sixth and possibly seventh receiver and look at those guys too.
- 56:10SPEAKER_00: So before just going out there and because you you got Alec Pierce, you got him that that you got him at a value, so now you know you can see if you can use that value even for trade bait.
- 56:22SPEAKER_04: Nico, yeah.
- 56:25SPEAKER_03: I think Concepcion and is really interesting, but I'm keeping Pierce here.
- 56:30SPEAKER_03: I mean, Pierce, you know, he was an absolute deep threat explosive receiver last year.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: I had high hopes for him after he got paid that they would expand his route tree a little bit and he would get a lot of reps in training camp uh to really take that next step.
- 56:45SPEAKER_03: You know, at this point of the season with the signing of Keenan Allen and uh Downs coming up, you know, I feel like they're probably gonna just revert back to what his role was last year, which was that big deep threat kind of guy.
- 56:57SPEAKER_03: I think he can still provide that, and especially as my wide receiver five, I'm I'm keeping the guy with the most upside.
- 57:06SPEAKER_03: And to me, that's Alec Pierce based on you know what he can do down the field.
- 57:10SPEAKER_03: I mean, he was second in yards per target, second in yards per reception last year.
- 57:15SPEAKER_03: He's really their deep threat, stretch of the field guy.
- 57:18SPEAKER_03: So I'm keeping Pierce here.
- 57:20SPEAKER_04: I think I think digs is the the easiest and probably the best option.
- 57:24SPEAKER_04: I think him has other than Terry McLaurin, has on uh uncontested targets wavering for him in that offense.
- 57:32SPEAKER_04: Uh if you really don't want any of those options, pick a handcuff up, honestly.
- 57:37SPEAKER_04: That might also may not be the a second best option for you to do, especially if he's your fifth wide receiver, considering that uh chances are five wide receivers, you could probably only start three of them making it so you he probably won't see your starting lineup at all this year unless somebody gets injured.
- 57:54SPEAKER_04: Um he wrote he writes in the comments that uh he has Chase, Pickens, J Mo, DK as wide receivers.
- 58:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you dude Alec Pierce isn't sniffing your starting lineup minus an injury at this point.
- 58:07SPEAKER_04: So no drop him, pick a handcuff up, honestly.
- 58:10SPEAKER_04: Like you see uh the Packers handcuffs, uh the she Ashon Genty's handcuff, uh 49 McCaffrey's handcuff.
- 58:18SPEAKER_04: You could you could pick up any handcuff at this point, it would be a better option.
- 58:21SPEAKER_04: The Cowboys handcuff, don't remember the name off the top of my head.
- 58:24SPEAKER_03: Um actually love him because you'll probably call him Malik.
- 58:28SPEAKER_04: Malik, yes, yes, actually, yeah, that's true.
- 58:31SPEAKER_04: I would do that.
- 58:32SPEAKER_03: Matter's got this weird thing where he doesn't know how to say people's names.
- 58:34SPEAKER_04: Phrasing, phrasing words, words, yeah.
- 58:38SPEAKER_04: We've we've learned in the past 45 minutes, not very good at it.
- 58:41SPEAKER_04: But of course, tip of the tip, man.
- 58:43SPEAKER_04: Tip of the tip we didn't want to go back to the page.
- 58:47SPEAKER_01: I didn't say that that's not my catchphrase.
- 58:49SPEAKER_01: He said that, okay.
- 58:50SPEAKER_01: Wow, you know if I'm talking about it, it's just the tip, okay?
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: It's just the tip, keep terrible here, okay.
- 58:57SPEAKER_04: Terrible, but of course, NFL MVPs, D bro, who's winning it?
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: It's Joe Burrow, baby.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: It's the easy answer.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: Joe Joe Burrow.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and for the MVP award, it's it's it's literally pick your favorite quarterback that you think the team is gonna win a crap ton of games and maybe go to the Super Bowl.
- 59:16SPEAKER_01: That that's really it.
- 59:17SPEAKER_01: If you pick any other position outside of quarterback, you're burning your money, you're telling yourself a bunch of lies and a lot of mental backflips.
- 59:24SPEAKER_01: So it's like pick your favorite quarterback, and you're probably right.
- 59:28SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 59:29SPEAKER_01: Tip.
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's Joe Burrow.
- 59:31SPEAKER_00: I've uh yeah, I had him on there too.
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 59:34SPEAKER_04: My god, Nika.
- 59:36SPEAKER_03: Everyone had Burroughs, so I thought I'd switch it up.
- 59:39SPEAKER_03: I'm going Hertz.
- 59:40SPEAKER_03: I'm a big believer.
- 59:41SPEAKER_05: Oh, I love it.
- 59:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm a big believer.
- 59:44SPEAKER_03: I actually have a uh ticket on a free wager for Hertz to win MVP.
- 59:48SPEAKER_03: I just big believer in the Eagles this year on a bounce back season and uh Debros point.
- 59:54SPEAKER_03: Um, you're picking a quarterback on a winning team, and I think they're gonna have a great season.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_03: You know, just probably need them to pick it up a little bit in the passing yards per game, if you will, and rush a little bit more.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_03: Why don't you not just tush pushes?
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_04: I think I think Matthew Stafford already has it on lock, but of course, we're gonna skip all the way to the Super Bowl champions because, of course, you know what, we're starting to get close on the time, and uh, we you know what, we got some people under the weather, he's got a storm on the way, tip.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_04: Oh, god, it is bad.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_04: He's he's still lagging, he like he's just joining in on the conversation right now.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_04: And D bro, who's winning the Super Bowl?
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_04: Who's in it?
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_01: I think the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Bengals are playing for the Super Bowl this year.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_01: I think the Rams, something is gonna go awry, whether it's injuries to Stafford or Puka or Devontae Adams or hell, all three.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_01: Who the hell knows, man?
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_01: I just look at all of this hype and praise is on the Rams right now, and it just feels like something is gonna go off the rails for them this year.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_01: So maybe I'm wrong here, but I think it's gonna be the Cowboys and the Bengals, two teams that heavily invested in their defenses, and we know what the offenses can freaking do.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_01: And I think the Bengals take up take on the title this year, and that's that's another reason why I'm going with Burrow, man.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_01: See Super Bowl winners.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_01: There we go.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_01: Tip, what do you think?
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: I think the Rams uh enjoy an undefeated season until they meet those Bengals, and the Bengals dismantle them uh in the Super Bowl, and they win.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: Uh, and Joe Burrow gets not only the comeback player of the year, the MVP, MVP of the Super Bowl, and starts to solidify himself to become that uh Hall of Fame quarterback that we all know that he can be.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_00: Ocho Cinco, Shay J Husmanzada, Vontez Berfick, Boomer Syerson all will be there at the celebration as the green as the orange and black confetti falls down on him.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_04: God, uh Nico, help me out here.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_04: Mix it up.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Cardinals.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_03: I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_03: I do have a I do have a ticket for Cardinals over three and a half wins, but um, no, I'm using the sadists are geez.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_03: I'm uh similar to what Debro said, like my MVP has hurts, and I'm going with the Eagles.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_03: Ironically, I have the Bengals as the representative out of the AFC, so without us talking about it, apparently the Bengals are screwed.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_03: But you did mention the whole like Rams, like something's gotta go wrong.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_03: I've never seen odds so low for a team to win a Super Bowl before.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_03: It's it's crazy.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_03: It's something's gotta go wrong, but you know, we'll see what ends up happening.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_01: To your point, it will go wrong at the Super Bowl.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_01: They are plus 550 to win the Super Bowl.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_01: The next closest team to them, I checked this this morning, is 1150.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_01: They are half, like yeah, half.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_01: Wild, wild team, Rams.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like the who's no no no next pick.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, the Bills are the next one.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_01: Is it the Bills?
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_04: I was gonna say that they would probably be my pick or the Chiefs.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_04: I just feel like Patrick Mahomes at this point, he's just inevitable.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_04: I'll never bet against Patrick LeBron.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_04: So moving it to the bolt predictions.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_04: You know what?
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_04: I've been waiting to drop this drop the whole day.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_00: Bolt prediction.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_05: Oh, that was you like that, man.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_03: You like that?
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_04: You like that?
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm saying, dude.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_03: We need segment drops for every segment.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_02: I made such a move, man.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_02: That was nice.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_04: So I mean, of course, you know, I made the intro, made the NFL headlines, I got that one going.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_04: I got, you know, I got more on deck.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_04: So, of course, you're gonna want to make sure to hit the follow button, subscribe to the channel.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_04: Remember, everybody, we are live every Wednesday at 9 p.m.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_04: Eastern Standard Time.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_04: Make sure you join the discussion, join in the comments down below, like how everybody is so far.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_04: And of course, moving on to the discussion, say it with your chest, bold predictions on what's going on in the year.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_04: It doesn't necessarily even have to be fantasy football related, it could be actual NFL related, it doesn't even have to be football related.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_04: You could just say the serial goes before the milk, and at that point, I think that is a pretty bold prediction, or you could say there are two boys and two men in the square so far, and that's a pretty bold prediction.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_04: Or you could say anything you want, you know, it's it's a bold prediction at this point.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_04: But Nico, we're gonna go counterclockwise this time.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_04: Give us your prediction.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_03: I'm kind of worried it's not bold enough, but the defending the defending Super Bowl champions, Seattle Seahawks, are going to miss the playoffs.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_03: Uh, the NFC West is brutal.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_03: We've talked about the Rams, we've talked about the Niners a little bit today.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_03: Um, I think the Cardinals are gonna be more competitive this year, and the loss of Kenneth Walker and a late start for Zach Charbonnet is really going to hamper that offense.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_03: They're gonna struggle to run the ball, and they're gonna allow defenses to tune in on JSN.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_03: And even a drop from elite to merely good could put them in a weird, like wild card fight.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_03: You combine that with NFC North, looking like it has four really solid teams.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_03: Um, the NFC South with the Saints on the rise, Buccaneers healthier, and the NFC East, Debros uh NFC representative in the Super Bowl, um, the Dallas Cowboys, um, my pick, the Eagles, like combine that with a first place schedule.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_03: Saints ain't making the playoffs, man.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_03: Or sorry, uh, Seahawks, they ain't making the playoffs.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_03: I was like, You didn't have to go two for two for that take.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_03: It was so close to nailing the landing and then Saints messing with these Seahawks are not making like you were taking shots at me, Nick.
- 1:05:59SPEAKER_04: I would never So, you know, I would give that a solid bold take.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_04: I'm not gonna say that's a French fry dipped in weak sauce.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_04: I find it unlikely that they miss the playoffs.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_04: I feel like they that's such a strong division.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_04: But tip, what do you think?
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_03: Let's see, let's see what their odds are to make the playoffs.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: While you go while Tip goes.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: So I'll take Nikos and I'll raise him a little bit.
- 1:06:23SPEAKER_00: I'll talk about Chase Brown.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_00: Um, they're gonna lean on him heavily all season long.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_00: There's there are gonna be some injuries that are gonna be a concern, and I think that he becomes the fourth thousand thousand back.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_00: So a thousand yards rushing, a thousand yards receiving.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_00: I think that it can happen, especially in this offense, especially when they need to have him uh in the passing game, with you know T.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_00: Higgins possibly missing a few games.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I'm I I I really think Chase Brown is gonna be elite.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: And right now he's going as an RB2 in fantasy.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_00: Man, he's gonna return that so much so far on dividends.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: You guys are gonna love it.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_04: You know, I do think that is a semiful bold take, considering last week I said that he was gonna have a really bad start to the season, or a slow start, I should say.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_04: So, unfortunately or fortunately for Tip, I will have to give that a bold take segment.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_04: Nico, did you find the Super Bowl outs?
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_04: Sorry, I'm still pulling it up on picket.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, you're lagging.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_04: Are you in a snowstorm?
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_03: No, uh no, it's no, dude.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_03: It's it's September.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_03: We're we're good here in Minnesota, man.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_03: Skull bikes.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he he's over here talking about right, that's what you were looking for Seahawks to make the playoffs, yes or no?
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, tips over here in a snowstorm.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm in San Francisco and it's like 70 degrees, it's like sunny.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_04: I'm like pre-cooling my car to get in, or else it's like way too hot.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_01: It's Seahawks 203 to uh at the yes to make playoffs.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_01: So if you're betting the noise 2031, yeah, plus two ten.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think they're making it.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_04: It's hard.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_01: We'll see.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_04: You know, you know, the energy is stacked this year.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_04: I mean, if you think about it, like the cowboys, I think would I actually think the cowboys are gonna make it over the eagles?
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_04: The Eagles have to make a wild card slot both this year.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_03: Also, how about tip with Chase Brown having a thousand receiving yards?
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_03: We gotta talk about that.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_03: That's a couple, I like it.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_01: How does how does he never come with Chase with Jamar Chase and T right?
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_01: Like, how does he get that target?
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_00: It's gonna take an injury, it's gonna take an injury, and and I don't know, I don't and I don't want to wish it, I don't want to wish it on anybody, but it's gonna take an injury for and if it and if I was a betting person, I would have to bet that it could be T Higgins because they're gonna utilize the crap out of both of those wide receivers, and we know Japara Chase is ready for it, he's been he's been ready every year, but I think if one of those wide receivers or if the defense doesn't hold up and they get into a bunch of shootouts like they did last year, and then the year before that, they're gonna utilize Chase Brown, especially in the passing game.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_00: So I can easily see where he can be a thousand-yard back both ways.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_00: Uh, is it bold?
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, and could it happen?
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_01: Well, to your point, I mean, I I uh in real time am realizing he got 88 freaking targets last year.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_01: I didn't think he had that many damn targets, man.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_01: So my I guess my route for him to be able to possibly pull this off, or at least come within sniffing distance of it, is he just has to become the clear third option in the passing attack.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_03: Like if he's gonna he's gotta pop off some runs or not runs, but some screens and shorts, like most most of his most of his receptions, I feel like were coming from check downs, they're not like design screens, yeah, like we see with Bijan all the time where he's popping off a 60 set, right?
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_04: So hear me out on this one.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_04: If he goes a thousand thousand, would he beat Joe Burrow for MVP?
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, always quarterback, no, now like he wouldn't contradict his own MVP.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_01: Eric Henry has done things that people haven't seen before, and and stuff like that.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_01: Guys have gone for it.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_01: Uh Bijan almost hit thousand thousand last year, and he wasn't even close to getting the no running back wins the MVP award, and anybody else tells you otherwise, and just doing it for a talking point now.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_00: And and and the other thing matter, if if he has a thousand yards, Joe Burrow's gonna have five thousand yards.
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's going full point remaining, then yeah, he's going ham.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_00: And and I mean, you're talking about 40 plus touchdowns, too.
- 1:10:27SPEAKER_00: So there's no way.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_04: There we go.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_04: Now, D bro, let's hear your bowl take.
- 1:10:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, considering the things that are being thrown out here, I need to know if this is bold enough before I start this, okay?
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_01: Christian Watson is a wide receiver one this year.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_01: Is this not bold enough for this show?
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_01: Is it not bold enough?
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_01: I just have to know.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_01: We got like Christian has oh dude.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_04: Oh, I feel like that's almost a French fry dipped in weak sauce moment.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_04: I don't know, Tip.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_04: What do you think?
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_00: I it it's it's considerably bold because I mean he hasn't done it before.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_00: And and when and when Debro says a number one wide receiver or wide receiver one, he's saying top 12, uh, or maybe top 10, depending on what your league size is.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_00: And he's never done that.
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_00: So I mean it's bold, it's bold enough.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, his best finish ever was wide receiver 34.
- 1:11:14SPEAKER_03: But you know, if we obviously talk about it from a fantasy points per game basis, yeah, he's been top 15.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_01: I'll give you two takes, and and whichever one you think is more bold, and I will unwrap it.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_01: Okay, there we go.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_01: Christian Watson is a wide receiver one in fantasy, or Colston Loveland is the clear tight end one in fantasy.
- 1:11:35SPEAKER_01: He beats Brock Bowers, he beats Trey McBoy.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_01: Which one do you like more?
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_01: I think the I like the Christian Watson one more.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_03: Okay, I like the Christian one.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_03: I think it's the Loveland doing better than Bowers this year and McBride.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_04: No way, no how I wouldn't be surprised if he does better than Bowers, not McBride.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_03: Remember, there's the hairline theory.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_03: Oh, the hairline theory, sorry.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_03: Well, I don't know.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_03: Either are bold, and I like them as what he got at her.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_01: I like the Christian Watson.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_01: But there's two bold takes for y'all.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_01: The way, the way that Christian Watson gets there is really easy to me.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, first of all, last year when he was on the field, wide receiver 21 and fantasy points per game.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_01: Talk to me.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_01: We're discussing an offense that probably does not have Josh Jacobs for the entirety of the year.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_01: And the last time that we saw the Green Bay offense without Josh Jacobs boys, uh, Jordan Love was just the QB five in fantasy points per game.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_01: Green Bay was 12th in red zone passing rate.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_01: No big deal.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_01: All good.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_01: Christian Watson last year, when he was on the field, was the clear wide receiver one.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_01: Romeo Dobbs is gone.
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_01: Dontavian Wicks is gone.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_01: Christian Watson last year was only a part-time player.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_01: Him and Stefan Diggs were holding hands with 68% route shares last year.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_01: So that number comes up.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_01: The thinning of the herd for targets, an offense that is gonna have to, by design, without Josh Jacobs, LaFleur is gonna have to throw the damn ball more.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_01: And then we get down to talent.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, Christian Watson last year amongst 109 qualifying wide receivers was fourth in yards per route run, tenth in first downs per route run, sixth in fantasy points per route run.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's a wide receiver one.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_03: You don't gotta convince me, bro.
- 1:13:16SPEAKER_00: It's health, it's health for me.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_02: He went to the hammy swami, man.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_02: He's healthy, he's good.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_02: He went to the hammy swami.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_02: Is that what yeah?
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_02: He went to the hammy swami.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_02: They checked it out, baby.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_02: He's good.
- 1:13:29SPEAKER_04: As long as he's not near a uh substation, he's fine.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_01: Uh substations in Green Bay, baby.
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_01: Ever the the the whole town and the state owns uh owns that team, they're not Lint substations there.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they they actually have some potent potentially they have some competent owners that don't go to Cleveland for a little bit of entertainment for the night.
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_04: But anyway, jeez.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_04: Uh you know, to wrap up the show, for anybody new that hasn't heard the theory yet, the hairline theory.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_04: We'll talk about that one first.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_04: The the I've never, and I think you guys could all agree with me.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_04: As oh, there we go.
- 1:14:05SPEAKER_04: He's all right.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_01: So the hairline theory, yes.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_04: Well you're gonna theory is I've never seen a good NFL player with a bad hairline.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_04: They've oh they always have the crispiest hairline.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_04: Like name me one.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_04: What the hell up?
- 1:14:19SPEAKER_04: You've never seen an NFL player that's bald that's really good, elite, elite with a bad hairline.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_03: I think he's talking like position, like uh like skilled players, yeah.
- 1:14:30SPEAKER_04: Not like offensive line.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_02: Oh, is he not like evans over the last few years?
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_02: Dude is kind of okay.
- 1:14:35SPEAKER_02: Dude, he's like 33.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_04: He's got nine nine phenomenal seasons, like like okay, like right now, developing players like Brock Bowers, he's got a cooked hairline, and he he had a really bad software slump.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_04: I feel like it's just coming again this year.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_04: Like he's it's cooked.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_04: Like, what feel free to prove me wrong on stuff like this.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_04: I I just told you, Mike Evans.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_02: Have you not seen the puzzle pieces that look like he's at 33?
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_02: Okay, but it's been like that for more than a minute, baby.
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_02: Like, no, no, no, no.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_04: It's not it's not that bad, it's not that bad.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_04: It's workable.
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_04: What it's workable, it's not like it's not like it's not like hairline theory.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the second one is the quarterback name theory.
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_04: Like every okay, okay, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold up.
- 1:15:16SPEAKER_04: Okay, names.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_01: Okay, so what happens if the man goes to Turkey and gets the hairline adjusted?
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_01: Does he go from being just a mid-player to elite?
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he's yeah, he goes to great, like he like Deion Sanders says, look good, feel good, feel good, play good, and that's how it goes.
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, James.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_04: He had a career resurgence as soon as he went to Turkey and got his hairline fixed.
- 1:15:39SPEAKER_04: You saw it, he was he was struggling at Cleveland, struggling.
- 1:15:42SPEAKER_04: He went to Turkey, went to Miami.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_04: See, no coincidence, both of them coincided.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_04: Obviously, he went Christian McCaffrey's hairline.
- 1:15:48SPEAKER_01: If you look really close, is kind of getting sparked in the back.
- 1:15:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, got a transplant.
- 1:15:53SPEAKER_01: He's having a second life with losing some of his hair, okay?
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_04: But Christian McCaffrey did get Josh Allen better before.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_04: I want that to be known.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_04: I want that to be known.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_04: He did get a transplant.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_04: That's probably why he didn't play that one year.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_04: He probably just needed to recover a little bit.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_01: You think he didn't get the PRP injection?
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_01: He went to got the hairline redone and he gave him the secret juice.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's how it goes.
- 1:16:13SPEAKER_04: Good.
- 1:16:13SPEAKER_04: That's how I mean I I don't think it's a coincidence.
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_04: You rejuvenate the hairline, all of a sudden you have a career year, and then with the quarterback name, like you've never seen a good quarterback with a bad quarterback name, like it doesn't fit like Tom Brady, quarterback name, Matt Ryan, quarterback name, Matthew Stafford, quarterback name, Josh Allen, quarterback name, and then and then all of a sudden you have two at Tonga Valoa, like okay, Clint.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_04: That's not a quarterback name, he's trash.
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_04: Michael Penix, that's not a quarterback name, trash.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_04: Uh Kirk Cousins, like that's a decent quarterback name, and he's doing all right.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_04: Like it's just uh uh Joe Burrow, quarterback name.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_04: Hey, Brock Purdy, Sam Darnold, these are all quarterback names, like you say you're like, yeah, he's he's an NFL quarterback.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_04: This is one I it's no coincidence that do not endorse Natter's thoughts as far as fantasy football.
- 1:17:01SPEAKER_00: Am I wrong?
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_01: Do you lie in bed at 4 a.m.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_01: and this is what you think about?
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_01: Kind of like after the Eddie kicks in and you're just laying in bed, you're staring at the ceiling and it swirls around, and you're like, Man, you know, the hairlines of quarterbacks, their names.
- 1:17:15SPEAKER_02: I'm just not feeling it.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_01: I I don't know if I've ever seen a guy that's that is that how this works, is that where this like how it works because you you probably I mean I I think we can all collectively say, Tip, you have the best hair here.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_01: Please weigh in on this.
- 1:17:32SPEAKER_01: It sure is LA.
- 1:17:33SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna put my hat back on.
- 1:17:35SPEAKER_00: So I can't weigh in on this.
- 1:17:38SPEAKER_00: Nico, Nico, uh Natter's theory.
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_00: Um, I've seen it, I've seen it in action with fantasy football, and I can just tell you it doesn't work.
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_04: What do you mean?
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_04: Like you're telling here Joe Burrow, quarterback name.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_04: Like it's just how it works.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_04: Kyler Murray, not a quarterback name, coincidentally, not that good.
- 1:17:56SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_04: Now we have Fernando Mendoza, not a quarterback name.
- 1:18:00SPEAKER_04: Guess what?
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_04: It's calm down, calm down Jamarcus Russell, not a quarterback name, didn't work out.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_02: But what about Sam Sammy Darnold?
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_04: That's not a quarterback name, and he just like the guy from Hey Darnold.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_04: Sam Darnold is decent, and guess what?
- 1:18:16SPEAKER_04: He's he's doing decent, like it's it's all right.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_02: Who?
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_02: Sorry, Peyton Manning.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_02: That's all right, you know, it could work.
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_02: It could work.
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_02: I think that's like the man that works at the he's your CPA.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_02: He does your taxi.
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_04: Nico thinks it's a quarterback name.
- 1:18:32SPEAKER_03: I think it's a quarterback name.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_04: See, like it's just like he's but I don't agree with the theory.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_01: I don't agree with this theory, but I will say not a quarterback name, but he was freaking amazing.
- 1:18:43SPEAKER_01: War Warren Moon, yeah.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_01: I think it worked.
- 1:18:45SPEAKER_01: It it kind of works.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, you just bend in the rules here.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_01: This is a this is a kangaroo court, man.
- 1:18:54SPEAKER_04: It's a decent way to go about it.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_04: Like, does they have a quarterback?
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_01: Is it really matter?
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_01: It's like money ball, don't feel like money ball.
- 1:19:01SPEAKER_04: You gotta have the look, you gotta have the features, and that's where it starts with.
- 1:19:04SPEAKER_04: Then you start looking at like attributes, and you know, it starts with the name that's like the initial first thing you read on a resume, the name.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_04: And if the name just doesn't work, then it doesn't fit the fine.
- 1:19:15SPEAKER_01: So, what if they get a name change though, or we get a different enunciation?
- 1:19:20SPEAKER_01: How does that play into the name theory?
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_04: Oh my, I didn't even think of that.
- 1:19:24SPEAKER_04: That that breaks like barriers right there.
- 1:19:28SPEAKER_01: Now I gotta take another edible and I was just gonna say you're gonna be you're gonna be laying in your bed at 4 a.m.
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_01: thinking about this.
- 1:19:35SPEAKER_04: See, like Dak Prescott.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_04: See, that's mediocre.
- 1:19:38SPEAKER_04: That's like not even that great of a quarterback name.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_04: I guess.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_00: Well no, that Dak Prescott is okay.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_00: That Dakota is not.
- 1:19:43SPEAKER_00: Dak Prescott's a good quarterback.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we're we're ignoring the the coda, the coda part.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_00: Now I now I now I'll call names uh what happened?
- 1:19:52SPEAKER_04: I didn't hear that one.
- 1:19:53SPEAKER_01: Is Jackson Dart a quarterback name or is that outside?
- 1:19:55SPEAKER_04: It's pretty good, actually.
- 1:19:56SPEAKER_01: It's it's pretty solid.
- 1:19:57SPEAKER_04: I kind of like that name.
- 1:19:58SPEAKER_04: That's a good one.
- 1:19:58SPEAKER_04: That's why I'm for him this year.
- 1:20:00SPEAKER_04: Like Bo Nick's.
- 1:20:01SPEAKER_04: That's that's a decent quarterback name.
- 1:20:03SPEAKER_04: Bo like that's a good name.
- 1:20:05SPEAKER_04: If he does good, you shouldn't be surprised that he does good.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_04: But of course, you know what?
- 1:20:08SPEAKER_04: We're gonna have to wrap this up.
- 1:20:10SPEAKER_04: I'm taking too long and too much of your guys' time with my phenomenal, clearly correct conspiracy theories.
- 1:20:17SPEAKER_04: But of course, D bro, tell what tell us where everybody can find you.

- 1:20:52SPEAKER_01: This was this is a blast outside of Natter's name talk here.
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_01: Good lord.
- 1:20:56SPEAKER_04: Hey, hey, you know, it hurts to be right.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_04: It's hard being right all the time, and and then the problem is is when you're just right too early.
- 1:21:02SPEAKER_04: That's the thing.
- 1:21:02SPEAKER_04: I'm never wrong.
- 1:21:03SPEAKER_04: Oh I'm just right early.
- 1:21:04SPEAKER_01: Just early.
- 1:21:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'm just early.
- 1:21:06SPEAKER_04: I'm always early.
- 1:21:07SPEAKER_04: I always come early.
- 1:21:08SPEAKER_04: Um, but of course, that's crazy.
- 1:21:10SPEAKER_04: Praising Natter.
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_02: Praising, bro, crazing.
- 1:21:15SPEAKER_02: What in the hell?
- 1:21:16SPEAKER_03: Where do and this dream?
